ABOUT THE PODCAST HOST Dr. Pema Düddul (PhD) is a Buddhist chaplain, Dharma teacher, and senior academic whose work bridges contemplative practice, publishing, and creative writing. As the founding Co-Director and principal teacher of Pristine Awareness: Foundation for Buddhist Practice, Pema teaches internationally, and previously served as the Buddhist Chaplain in the Multi-Faith Service at the University of Southern Queensland, where he pioneered online meditation and study programs. Alongside Dharma teaching, Pema is an established academic and held the senior position of Associate Professor in Writing, Editing, and Publishing at the University of Southern Queensland, where he led the discipline, designed postgraduate programs, supervised research students, and oversaw curriculum innovation with a strong digital publishing focus. He is also the author or editor of more than 60 published works across genres, including scholarly books, research articles, fiction, memoir, plays, Buddhist teachings, and journalism for major outlets, demonstrating his mastery in both literary craft and academic research. Pema’s writing and teaching continue to inspire others to awaken to their natural compassion, and creative potential.
