Nudge Your Child Ahead

Nudge Your Child Ahead

How can parents really help their children succeed at school — without relying on fads or conflicting advice? I’m Chris Battle, a teacher, tutor, and director of a tutoring centre in Bedford, UK. For over twenty years, I’ve worked with children and families to understand what truly drives progress in learning. My approach combines classroom experience with research in psychology, behavioural genetics, and cognitive science, giving parents practical, evidence-based insights they can use at home. In Nudge Your Child Ahead, I share short, focused episodes that explain what works — and why — across reading, maths, motivation, confidence, and exam preparation. Each episode translates the latest educational and psychological research into clear, actionable advice grounded in real tutoring experience. If you want to understand how children learn — and how you can support that learning more effectively — this podcast will help you do exactly that. Listen on your commute, the school run, or over coffee: five to eight minutes a day to help you truly nudge your child ahead.
