Speaker 1 (00:02):
Wake, wake up.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
It gets my day going. It makes me laugh.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
I of it. Mac and Schmitty in the morning on
Star one of five point seven.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Well, good morning to you, Schmitty.
Speaker 4 (00:14):
Oh, good morning. And happy finally Friday.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Yes, happy Friday too. You welcome into it.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
And I know you just mentioned to me you're you're
dragging a little bit after stand up late for the Rhymes.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Game last night.
Speaker 4 (00:25):
Yeah, we went all five sets.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
I stayed up trying to watch that four Nations face
off between the US and Canada. And it got to
be ten thirty Schmitty, and we were halfway through the
third and and like, ten thirty is already an hour
and fifteen minutes later than I like to go to bed.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Yeah, And so I went.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Into my bedroom and I threw on a headphone and
I'm like, I'll just I'll just listen to the game.
I used to love listening to Red Wings games on
the radio all the time as a kid. I'll just
listen till the end. I had no idea how it
ended until this morning. I didn't even make it to
the end of regulation. I had no idea. We even
went to overtime and then to get the gut punch
that we Oh.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
Yeah, it wasn't gonna give it away. Michigan wake up,
coming up in just a half hour, come on, we're
working radio.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
We were waiting for that, but yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
It was a late one for sure. That definitely drag.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
We had it going at the Rise game all like
all of us back in the comms department. We had
it on our phones. It was still like a crazy
good game.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
So good.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, movies, music and all the gossip.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
In one place.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Well, Kanye West has delivered another torrent of shocking tweets
focused mostly on race, following reports that his ex wife
Kim Kardashian is facing serious family problems over not speaking
up more especially about his anti Semitic rhetoric. This comes
(01:53):
yesterday after Kanye was on a recent episode of The Kardashians,
there to cheer on his daughter, who was part of
that Lion King live action show.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Kanye and I want the best for the kids, and
so anytime we're here supporting our child, it's always good vibes.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Yeah, not so much good vibes. On X where he
started by writing, we're taught racism and then told not
to be racist. There are a lot of black people
who have public platforms that are not allowed fully express themselves.
But I can, and I do. I see past all this.
Always remember these bleeps have jobs. Black people don't control
(02:37):
the black dollar. When you don't have money, you don't
solely have power. No one working on a TV show
or a podcast can move me left or right, and
most of the rest of it I can't and won't read.
It's just really, really wild. And we're being told that
Scott Dissick is actually one of the biggest issues for
(02:57):
Kim right now. He was raised Jewish and is just
so horrified that she has not gone out on her
own public platform to denounce everything he's doing. There have
been rumored reports that she could be working to actually
take the kids away from him at some point.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Well, and that does muddy the waters quite a bit,
because you're not just talking about, you know, taking a
stance publicly about something that obviously is heinous. You're talking
about speaking out publicly against the father of your children. Yeah,
that's a different scenario.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
I feel like that is pretty heinous stuff. Yeah, all right,
speaking of taking to X and airing your dirty laundry.
Grimes is doing just that, trying to get Elon Musk
to respond about a medical crisis involving their child. So
Grimes is an ex of Elon Musks. They do share
a child together. Yesterday on X she writes, please respond
(03:52):
about our child's medical crisis. I'm sorry to do this publicly,
but it's no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This
requires immediate atention. If you don't want to talk to me,
can you please designate or hire someone who can so
that we can move forward on solving this. This is
urgent Elon. She went on to say, I'm not giving
(04:12):
any details, but he won't respond to texts, calls, or emails.
He skipped every meeting and our child will suffer lifelong
impairment if he doesn't respond asap. I need him to respond,
and if I have to apply public pressure, I guess
that's where we're at. Not the first family drama Elon
(04:33):
has had this week. So Grimes and Elon have three
kids together. But remember one of his other exes was
pointing out that she was not okay with him parading
their son around the White House and all those publicity
photos earlier this week.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
I gotta be honest, there's something I like about having
somebody spend forty billion dollars on an app just so
all their exes can yell at them on it.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
This is a really cringe right. Finally, Aaron Rodgers says
he is still up to to continue his career in
the NFL and if there's any gms looking to have
the quarterback added to their roster. There's two things he's
looking for. Papa Rozzi caught up with him on the
West Coast. Well, it's something you take into consideration now,
facts factors.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah, they want you the one you what else? Anything else?
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Like they got a good tea lovely if I want,
I want it, and hopefully I surround myself with really
strong talent. He did add that some good weather wouldn't
be terrible either. I don't know anybody looking for him
right now, but.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Forget that, bring him back to the NFC North. We'd
love to beat up on Aaron Rodgers more.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
All right, all of your celeb scoop at West Michigan
Star dot com.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Sometimes I get a good fey.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah, well, let's dive into some positivity for this Friday morning.
Get your role in the right way for the weekend.
But this is just really cool, and uh, I want
to shout him out. There is going to be a
Michigan State Police officer who's running through Italy and no,
it sounds like a wonderful vacation kind of at the
same time, he's doing it for a great reason. I
am talking about Trooper Jacob Lewis from the Michigan State
(06:05):
Police who.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Is going to be taken on a special role for
the Special.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Olympics at the twenty twenty five Special Olympic Winner Games
in tour in Italy. See. He's been selected as one
of eight team leaders to help deliver the flame of
Hope to the opening ceremonies on March eighth. So, starting
in just a few days on February twenty fifth, law
enforcement team's going to actually run with that torch from Athens,
Greece through northern Italy all the raise awareness for individuals
(06:32):
with intellectual disabilities. Now, Lewis, he's been a longtime supporter
of the Special Olympics Michigan and said, you know, he's
just so honored, said, I've been involved with Special Olympics
Michigan and the law enforcement Torch Run. Since joining the
Michigan State Police in twenty sixteen, my participation quickly turned
into a passion. I feel incredibly honored to have been
chosen as a Guardian of the Flame to represent the
(06:53):
organization and the Michigan State Police on an international stage. Now,
the final leg of the Torch Run actually has eight
eighty law enforcement members with US and international officers accompanied
by those Special Olympic athletes in a really cool ceremony
and tribute event final miles of the run, plus the
Michigan State Police. I didn't know this schmidtee, but they
are big, big supporters of Special Olympics.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
In just last year they.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Raised two point five million dollars dollars for Special Olympics
of Michigan. So shout out to them and to Officer Lewis.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
You've probably seen the viral pictures of that flooding in
Detroit after a water main break. Some parts of the
neighborhood now encased in ice because of those very cold
temperatures this week while the standing water is still being
dealt with, Well leave it to Detroit neighbors stepping up
in a big way. And one nonprofit that I thought
was just so cool and something that most of us
(07:46):
might not think about. They call themselves DRAW Disaster Relief
at Work. They are based in Waterford, and they have
done a ton of work, especially concerning storms and hurricanes,
but this one was definitely eat Rough, the founder and
director of Detroit Area Disaster Recovery Group, said it best.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
The horses asked that I've ever seen. The need is great.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
The need is so great. So they've picked up a
bunch of different ways to help people clean up their homes.
DRAW is filling two hundred buckets with donated cleaning supplies, soap, scrubbers,
and specialty tools to try and prevent mildew or mold.
They've got a bunch of different resources going to these families.
(08:29):
They've been helping them literally, like get themselves out of ice.
You can see cars that aren't being able to be
gotten to transportation that's been interrupted. DRAW Executive director Greg
Martin said, listen, this is what's needed right now. It's
not just that they have to find a new place
to live. Their whole way of life is upset and
(08:49):
not for a short amount of time, and a big deal,
especially being a homeowner, is going back to that place
that you own and love. That's what we're here to
try and do. And so I just wanted to bring
some attention to them because that's a very cool organization.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Really cool, and you know you're seeing the helpers there
because man, I have never seen a water main break.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
Do that?
Speaker 3 (09:06):
N Damna much unreal?
Speaker 1 (09:07):
All right, coming at to you a couple times a day,
feeling good, always here to provide that positivity brought to
you by your friends at Overhead Door Company of Grand Rapids,
reminding you to open your day positively. We'll do it
again for you, coming up at nine twenty this morning
here on Star.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
Movies, Music and all the gossip.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
In one place.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Well, it's been a whole couple of days since we've
talked about it ends with us, So here we go.
Blake Lively, of course, amended her legal complaint last week,
saying that she does indeed have multiple witnesses ready to
corroborate her side of the allegations against director and co
star Justin Baldoni. Now she's saying she can't reveal their
(09:50):
names because they're terrified of receiving the same treatment that
her and Ryan Reynolds have received. Sources say that it's
not super surprise that at least two cast members from
It Ends with Us who will testify in support of Blake,
are hiding their identities because they just don't want to
deal with the backlash now. Sources say that Steve Sarahwitz,
(10:14):
a partner in Wayfarer Studios, which is obviously Justin Beldoni's company,
is comparing these retaliatory problems to what's going on in
Israel's campaign against Hamas. I mean just absolutely wild language
being used here, and Blake says her biggest issue is
(10:37):
that she could get the names, but she can't risk
their mental anguish over this not the only thing we
saw happen legally. Blake Lively's publicist is now being asked
to be dismissed from Justin's lawsuit, saying she did not
start this giant PR war. This is Leslie's sloan owner
of Vision PR filing a motion to dismiss herself and
(10:59):
turned to higher company from the civil lawsuit. Baldoni's team
has filed claiming they have no factual basis that she
is ever the one that started the PR war. Sourus.
Sloane even claims that the evidence will show you that
she was days after all of these pr pieces were
planted to make Justin look bad and was never a
(11:23):
part of the meetings, saying that this was a good idea.
She wants no part of it. She wants off the case.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
You know what's you know who's annoyed by this?
Speaker 5 (11:32):
The year of this?
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Like, you know who's annoyed by this?
Speaker 1 (11:34):
All the people that have nothing to do with it,
that worked on that movie that are now going to
be hit up endlessly of like is it you?
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Are you the one? Who is? Who is the secret person?
Speaker 6 (11:43):
Who are you?
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (11:46):
Speaking of possibly head of de court. Kim Kardashian being
dragged over a social media screw up, sued by a
guy she mistakenly identified as a death row inmate. This
is a new lawsuit, Yeah, Kim being sued by Ivan Cantwo.
He's a project manager from New York who Kim identified
(12:07):
as a man awaiting the death penalty in Texas. She
posted a wrong photo She was looking for Ivan Abner Cantu,
who was put to death a few months ago. This
went down in February. The project manager, Ivan says the
mix up has subjected him to public embarrassment, shame, hatred, ridicule, contempt,
(12:31):
and aversion. Even though Kim eventually deleted the post, Ivan
says it was too late. The damage had been done
for hundreds of millions of followers had come at him.
Apparently he lost some work, emotional distress. He's gone after
her for some big old.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Money, plus that shockey news to find out that you're
a death row inmate.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Yeah, wait, big old news.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Finally. I was so excited to see this news yesterday.
If you love the Netflix hit series Nobody Wants This,
the one with Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, guess who
is guest starring on the second season. Adam's wife, Leyton Measter.
The big streamer just teased the news saying everybody wants this.
(13:14):
Layton Measter will guest star and nobody wants this season two,
playing Kristen Bell's middle school nemesis who Joanne crosses paths
with as an adult. So not only are we super
excited to see Adam and his wife together on the screen,
but I've got to point out Layton and Kristen together
is a Gossip Girl reunion I'm so stoked.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
I actually watched a couple of episodes with the two
of them. Plus it's Blake Lively and Gossip Girl as well. Right, yep,
I couldn't have been more turned off by the show.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
I was like, are you serious?
Speaker 5 (13:46):
Right?
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Really?
Speaker 3 (13:47):
My wife immediately goes, you're not gonna get it. Just leave,
Just leave.
Speaker 6 (13:50):
I see.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
I have actually some guy friends who have watched with
their wives and really enjoyed it. It's worth watching, especially
with Layton coming to season two. I've got all those
details with your scoop at West Michigan Star dot Com.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
It's back.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
You know, the joys of having absolutely no filter on
your little tiny mile s Minni.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
And that's really toddler life, right, Like getting to the
point with my six almost seven year old where he's
starting to recognize certain places maybe aren't appropriate for certain conversations.
My three year old is down to broadcast all of
our business anywhere we are. And this happened last weekend.
(14:27):
We went to the Grand Rapids Boat Show at Devas
and we were looking around different boats. The kids are
being great, and I have to start by saying, if
you don't know what I'm talking about, when I say
my tackle box story. There was an incident last summer
on my husband's boat. We were out as a family
and I had the call of nature and it was
worse than anticipated, and unfortunately, without a bathroom on our boat,
(14:52):
I did have to use my husband's tackle box in
one of my more vulnerable moments.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
One of the crowning achievements of your life is i'd like.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
My more vulnerable mo moments. Yes, so we're walking around
the boat show on Sunday, the Lord's Day. Everyone's just
like getting out of church, ready to enjoy themselves. And
if this girl did not walk onto every single yacht
that had a toilet and scream at an audible level,
(15:19):
hey mom, this boat has potties, so you know, poo
in the water, like three separate occasions. People are looking
at me and then trying not to laugh but fully
knowing like this is great. This mom definitely hung off
a boat and relieved herself at some point in life,
and now her three year old is calling every It
(15:40):
got to the point by like this seven time, I
was like, babe, babe, we don't need to tell people
that there is a bathroom on this boat so that
your mom doesn't have to go.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
In the water. I would have actually liked it if
she saw some tackle boxes at the boat show and
some of those fishing setups and been like.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Mom, they have tackle boxes if you gotta go peepee like.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
And honestly, my husband, who's a grown child himself, just
super duper helpful as he's down the plank looking at
another bow, just hysterically laughing, like, look, babe, check out
the luxurious spaciousness on this body. And I know that
there have been points where you were in the worst
possible spot for your child to suddenly come out with
(16:21):
one of your most embarrassing moments. Every parent's had it happen.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
I don't know that it was the place that bothered
me so much, so much as much as it was
the consistency and the quantity at which they felt it
necessary for my son to tell every person we saw
in Lows that, in fact, he and his mom are
myself and his mother are both anatomically correct and happen
to have the utensils, yeah, that both male and females have.
(16:47):
Every single person my dad has a my mom's gotta like.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Why I won't show kindergarten pop. You remember that scene
in kindergarten cop with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Course I do that. Tiny kid literally made every child
my age who saw that movie immediately go oh, I'm
just gonna repeat that all the time.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
Every time I picked my daughter up from preschool every
single afternoon, Hi, babeoe is your day good? Didn't poop
my pants like every day? And her teacher just looks
and she's like, it's it's factual. She did not. She
had a great tick.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
It's a goal we carry with us for life, Sophia.
It's a goal we all have.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
Am I the parenting problem? How have your kids hilariously
called you out? And were you in public? Six one six,
four five eight one oh five seven? And if you've
got a boat with a bathroom, I'd love to take
a ride. Apparently those are nice boats, very nice boats.
You got a bathroom in there. That's a solid boat.
I work in radio, so we know can't quite afford
(17:44):
the potty boats just yet.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
We got a bucket Mack and Schmidty in the morning
on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
Spill in tea, take time, spill the two sweetheart.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
Let's spill it.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
It is your weekly tea here on star one on
five point seven and spitty with you and as only
you got some good, juicy gossip going on in your life,
tell us all about it, all right, We keep you
anonymous and you can weigh in as well. Six one six,
four five eight one oh five seven. Honestly, like you
just said a moment ago, smitty, this has gotta happen
more often these days. But we got an email says, hey, guys,
(18:18):
my roommate is in the funniest fight with this girlfriend
right now. For Valentine's Day. He did the typical flowers
and chocolate thing, but didn't get her card, which I
told him was kind of impersonal. I suggested he make
a card. He panicked and then used Chad GTP O
GBT to write this impossibly good love note and gave
(18:38):
it to his girlfriend, claiming he'd written it himself. She
sniffed it out in about five seconds and was not impressed.
I heard them fighting over the weekend and he actually
said the words were AI, but the feelings are mine.
I feel bad, but I almost died laughing. Honestly, I
can picture one of my friends saying that that his
girlfriend and I would be dye hysterically laughing too.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Come on, this isn't that big of a deal. And honestly,
the fact that he even took the effort to go
to chat GPT and do this, I guess that's love.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
I mean, there's a little bit, That's what I mean. Like,
so you got to put in the prompts, right, does
the prompts not count for anything? You've got to say
the person's.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Name doesn't count for that much, does not count for
that much.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Let's see here we got Rose on the line from
Grand Rapids. What do you think, Rose? Is this an
acceptable thing to do?
Speaker 6 (19:29):
You should definitely say something like are you kidding me?
Speaker 5 (19:32):
You can't write that from your own part. It doesn't
even matter how bad it is.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
That's the thing I don't think a lot of people
understand is that we don't even care.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Yeah, like what it is.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
But if it's written by AI, and that's such a
cheap way to do it, it's like from a robot
not in his heart?
Speaker 3 (19:50):
All right, schmitdi? Do you agree with Rose? Right there?
Speaker 4 (19:52):
Wish I knew how old this guy was, because like,
if we're talking in your thirties, bro, come on, use
at the source and find some love where it's for
like a twenty something. That's actually what I would.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
Expect, Maggie on the line from Jennison, You disagree, Maggie.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
I mean seriously, there's like there are sobody bigger Christophery
happening in this world today. Like the fact that he
like took the time to even try to writer a letter.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
I don't know that's being heartfelt to me.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
See there you go is not impressed though, all right,
what do you think? Six one, six, four, eight, one
five seven.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
These music and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
Well, fans continue to be a bit concerned about Justin Bieber,
and he shared what could be seen as a positive
but maybe still a little cryptic post on social media yesterday.
Sources say that Biebs is facing a very difficult period
of his life right now, and he is quite depressed
and angry over discovering financial problems that are tied to
(21:01):
former friends and longtime associates. Now, when I read some
of this post, it does kind of sell the keys,
maybe flipping that friend group to find people that are
actually truly friends and loyal, He writes, it's time to
grow up, changings about letting go not trying harder. Are
you tired of trying to follow all of the rules
in hopes to get the results you crave? I have
(21:22):
found that love is more powerful than rules. I tried
following the rules and I'm not good at it. But
you don't need to follow rules to enter into a
life of love. You just receive, so enter love living.
God always grants us love. It is one of his promises.
He says, you need to start change and following that love.
So hopefully good news. He continues to fight those rumors too,
(21:46):
that him and Haley are on the rocks.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
You know, I think everybody goes through ups and downs
and periods where they're not quite sure they're headed in
the right direction. And if he keeps on saying words
like that to himself, I think he's going.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
To be all right.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
I feel like this is I mean, just really child stardom.
It hits you probably at the age you're at where
you're like, man, I was surrounded by all yes people
and that was not always a good thing for me.
Dj Khalen has become the latest celebrity to receive a
very spooky black coffin at his Florida home. Have you
been seeing these stories pop up? Oh, he's like the
(22:18):
second or third person for this to happen to. It
was just released. Video on his security cameras show two
people rolling up in a truck back on Saturday to
his residence in Miami. They talked to a security guard
and claim to be from a delivery company. They were
given permission to enter the property. That's when they drive
to the front steps and drop off a black coffin.
(22:41):
Scrawled across the top is rip Ovo and Rip Drake
with a cross on it, police say. Then the video
shows the pair getting down on their knees to pray
in front of the coffin before they jump back in
the trunk and drive off. So Drake and Kellen used
to be friends. They now have a beef them after
Drake just one of Kala's new albums. But this is
(23:03):
not the first celebrity that this has happened to, and
police are now investigating, especially wondering if incidents are tied
together and if there's any kind of danger here.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
I mean, it's so weird.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Coffee dropped off at your house is obviously off footing
in my head all. I kept thinking though, was like,
I hope that they do it one more time so
the talent can walk out of his house and utter
his catchphrase another one.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Finally, we've got two big music drops today. We will
start with Jessica Simpson, her first new music in over
fifteen years, and she did tease fans that she was
going country. So this is a new album called Nashville
Canyon Part One that is out March twenty first, but
(23:52):
she dropped the first single, use My Heart Against Me
at midnight on Whiskey.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Jeffson Change, Don't miss Her, Don't come to Smile.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
I actually think it's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
I think that sounds like Jessica Simpson case. I feel
like I heard that whole thing. I didn't hear Jessica
Simpson once.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
Oh really, I think it could be a really good album.
She says she is super super excited to go country.
And we've also got a brand new track from Selena
Gomez that so many fans have been waiting for and
he is fel say. Benny Blanco is on this as
well as Gracie Abrams. I am a very big fan.
(24:52):
Call me when you break up. We have got it
for you. Coming up right now. You can see some
of the behind the scenes footage of both those with

is endless?
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Something kids think is well, every single commercial break that
they see. I feel like there's a complaint every single
time because they're so not used to commercials.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
Money.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Guys.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
We went down the leg isle at Meyer the other
day and Will's been saving up his tooth fairy money
and he goes, I want this one. I said, well, buddy,
that's one hundred and forty nine to ninety nine. He goes,
how much do I have? I said nine? He goes, well,
will you you have the rest? Honey?
Speaker 2 (25:48):
You seem get anything new?
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Six one six, four, one o five seven. One hundred
men surveyed, Name something kids think is endless? Number one
answer and you are going to see kids with Star.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
With Good Morning Star? Who's this? Jose? Where are you
calling from today?
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Man?
Speaker 5 (26:07):
Fur rapid Walker area?
Speaker 1 (26:08):
All right, let's see if we can get you these
kids bop tickets? Man, Jose, gonna tell me. A hundred
women were asked what a kids think it's endless?
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Jose?
Speaker 4 (26:16):
Toilet paper.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
It's like you've been hanging out.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
Of my house, my friend, you're not wrong about that one,
but toilet paper not on the list. I'm sorry, Jose, Okay,
best answer of the morning, though, I'm calling it now.
Thanks man, Hi Star, who's this? Hey?
Speaker 4 (26:33):
What's one on Mexicans? Thomas?
Speaker 6 (26:34):
Some grand rapperds?
Speaker 5 (26:35):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Tom is Jose just gave me a great answer, Man,
you'd have appreciated it too. When one hundred women were asked,
what do kids think is endless?
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
He said toilet paper, which was not on the list,
but was a great answer for sure coming from a dad.
Speaker 6 (26:51):
For sure.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
For sure, I would say school the school day.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Yeah, especially when it's not a gym day. You don't
have enough recesses. The day's just going drag, Thomas. That's
why school's the top answer. Congratulations, man, oh Man, thank
you so much. Yeah, you're going to check out Kids
Bop Live. The Certified Bop Tour is gonna be over
a DeVos Performance Hall coming up to this August. We
got four tickets for you and the crew. Thomas Man,
(27:18):
thank you of course. So we'll do it again all
next week. Battle of the Sexes each week day fifteen
here on Star. This month marks the ten year anniversary
from the world going to war with each other, specifically
the online world where the dress.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Of twenty fifteen fame of infamy.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
I should say it's the ten year anniversary of the
dress dividing the Internet and the world as to whether
or not it was gold and white or blue and black. Schmitty,
You just have to say the dress. It's the ten
year anniversary of the dress. What did you see in
the picture? Well, obviously I saw what I assumed was
the correct color of the dress for a very long time,
which is white and gold. And just like everyone else
(28:04):
who you know who had people telling them that it
was black and blue, I thought, y'all are nuts, okay,
but I had gotten over it. Obviously you learned that
the dress is black and blue at some point, and
whether or not that's still a lie in my head
makes no difference because I still see a white dress.
I did not think about this through the lens of
my kids, though, because Michelle and I started talking about
(28:26):
this yesterday when we saw all the stories pop up
about it, and then my kids are like, well, what
are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (28:31):
And it was so great because my.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Son sees the dress the same way that I do.
Then it's a white and gold dress in that photo. Yeah,
and my daughter sees it as black. And it was
just like reliving a decade ago because they were at
each other's throats, my son going going.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Why are you lying?
Speaker 3 (28:50):
What is why are you lying?
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Over and over again. They got turned up to eleven
schmidty arguing over whether or not this was the golden
or golden white dress or and black.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
I mean, it was crazy.
Speaker 4 (29:01):
The Today Show did a huge feature on it yesterday,
and of course I was off yesterday with a sick
kid at home. So Will and I are watching it
and he sees the picture and he goes, oh, it's
black and blue, and I said, really, that's what you
see on the TV right now? He said yeah, and
I go, I see gold and white and he goes
what And I was trying to describe that this was
(29:24):
the thing, buddy, And so it's so hilarious though, because
we're talking about this back and forth. This is right
way before his time. He's only seven, and he just
kind of looks confused for a bit and then just
gives up and looks over. He goes, so, is this
what the internet used to be?
Speaker 3 (29:37):
For some down?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Because I get a good feeling.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
Well, let's pick you up and help you move into
the weekend with some positivity. Feeling good right now and
start with a fine point seven. It's mack and spitting.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Well, Feeling good is what hairstylists tend to help you do.
And they have put on a very special dedicated to
helping those that have survived domestic violence. Stylists at Antwine
Salon and Troy Over on the east side of the
state going above and beyond to give back to a
very special community. Teaming up with on the Wings of
(30:13):
Angels and Haven to incredible organizations. They close down their
salon in the middle of the day to give domestic
violence survivors a safe place to take part in some
serious self care. Listen to these stylists. They sat down
with ABC seven, saying it is so uplifting for everyone involved.
Speaker 6 (30:32):
We want to make survivors feel as powerful on the
outside as they do on the inside.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
She was so happy to Leash's like, I feel like
a new person, just get rid of the old, get.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
In with the new, start fresh.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
We want them to feel good about themselves because we
know that I've been at the bottom and to help
lift them up at least a little bit. I'm sure
that I need a lot more work than just me
donat in my time or my staff, but any little
thing help.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
Yeah, Antoine himself, speaking right there, said everything was free
of charge. And watching these women walk out of that
salon feeling as good on the outside as they do
on the inside, finally finding that power to lead those
situations as pretty priceless.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
What a great event to view though.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Love it all right, Spinny ice cream, you scream, but
not as much as this woman screams for ice cream.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
Yeah. Hudsonville ice Cream not too long ago put out
the call.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Looking for an expert on all things ice cream and
asked fans to record a thirty second video explaining why
they know ice cream better than anybody else and should
be names the Hudsonville Ultimate ice cream fan. Well, they
have found her, and her name is Grace Bremer. Of course,
she's from West Michigan. Guy Zeeland is her hometown, and
she is a huge, huge fan. And she started her
(31:46):
thirty second video with a wonderful pun that I definitely appreciated.
Speaker 5 (31:49):
Hello, my name is Grace, and I'm confident I'm the
ultimate ice cream fan.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Yeah, she's confident, that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
And she stopped in to Fox seventeen actually earlier this
morning talking about why she thinks she won the big War.
Speaker 5 (32:01):
I've been eating ice cream like ever since I was
really little, especially Hudsonville ice cream too. So I just
have a lot of sweet memories of just going to
hound State Park and getting a cone afterwards, or just
all these fun memories. And it's nice to Yeah, now
I'll get to try all and just be the ultimate
fan and official writing now.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
I feel like what makes me the.
Speaker 5 (32:20):
Bast and kind of stand out is just like my
excitement to just try all new flavors.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Yeah, barely sounds exciting, you can hardly hear in her
voice there By the way, she told us their favorite
ice cream is Traverse City Cherry fudge.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
What is it?
Speaker 4 (32:31):
Profentially good one? I'm a superman girl.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Oh superman all the way. I see Carmel deer tracks,
that big thing of Carmel inside of deer tracks, absolutely genius.
But I feel like good coming at you a couple
of times a day to lift you up. We'll do
it again for you on Monday six forty five and
nine twenty here on Star Mack and Schmidty in the
