Get this now and get it clear - every day, whether you like it or believe it, people play you for a sucker. It's not just you - depending on who's dealing the cards, it could be tens, hundreds, thousands or more who suffer the same fate. Everyone THINKS they have life wired - and that's when it's dangerous. It's delusional. You don't - and in truth, you're the pigeon, the pinata, the one who just keeps getting played because you refuse to understand, you're playing THEIR game. My job here is to get you out of the suckers chair, to see the con, to see what's being said isn't what's real, to understand the cards aren't the only thing not going your way - it's the game, and the fact that you're playing it wrong. I learned the hard way, the expensive way, but I learned from people who had no intention of being suckers. You don't have to sign up for anything. I'm doing what the people I learned from did - passing important life lessons on. You can be 20, 50, older - you can still find yourself 'looking around the table', wondering who the sucker is, not realizing, it's you. It's time to think. It's time to use that lump three feet above your......waist for more than just a hat rack. You were given brains - time to use them in a more productive way. This isn't a blog telling you WHAT to think or HOW to think. It's designed to give you something to THINK ABOUT. It doesn't get any easier than that. So the POV you will always be passionate and well detailed. But it will never, EVER tell you, you have to think a certain way. See if all this doesn't trigger a strange and wonderful feeling. You're thinking again. That's how we roll.
bradley remembers when athletes needed second jobs just to make ends meet. Today, they don't even need to go pro, if they're taking NIL money. It's amazing how all this has changed in such a short time. How does it affect you? bradley has that covered.
bradley wonders what havoc he could create for the sports industry if it became a dictatorship and he was head tyrant. Some interesting ideas to ponder here. Check it out
When you own a franchise in any major sports, you matter how badly you suck at running your franchise, no one is going to fire you. Period. That's part of the job of a manager or GM - to take the heat and the beating of the press and fans when things go south. The owner stays above it all, and that just frosts bradley no end. Take a listen, then make up your own mind about how you feel as a fan.
Everyone is celebrating the Knicks - but has anyone talked to the losers, especially after that devastating historic Game Four loss? The Spurs reveal something no athlete wants to talk about, but is always lurking, like a sportswriter at an all-you-can-eat buffet. bradley takes a shot at it, head on, so you better understand what causes a lot of the issues sports teams face. Some call it 'Big Mo'. But in truth, it's here in this p...
If you think bradley is a cultural icon - well, get ready for a truth bomb. A lot of what he learned as a kid and still understands today, he got from watching cartoons, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Rocky and Bullwinkle and a whole host of other classics. Take a listen - see if you don't find yourself nodding along in agreement.
It's no secret bradley despises soccer. Well, he's off on a rant regarding the World Cup and why this sport does NOT deserve our attention. Soccer moms - you've been warned.
bradley has had enough of the mindless hype being spouted by talking heads all over the sports world. Everything can't be the greatest all t he time and bradley attempts to bring some perspective to your world. Not the greatest column ever - but pretty darned good actually.
bradley's back with a new list of things he wishes would go away. Why do people spend time on these idiotic things? Who knows - but if they didn't well, bradley would have nothing to talk about today, right? Enjoy some righteous hissy fittin' with your favorite curmudgeon
Are you just about over all your favorite games with their stupid sideline interviews where the players are as uncomfortable answering the questions as the reporters are asking them? Well, bradley is too. So settle in and listen as bradley describes not just what he hates about those, but what he'd love to see that would make him watch every single one of them, game in and game out. Maybe you'll agree.
Perspective, isn't always objective. bradley has had enough of the children running and playing major league baseball whining about lockouts and strikes, a full seven months BEFORE the collective bargaining agreement even expires. For bradley, you can take all that and stick it somewhere cold and dark - because he wants you thinking for yourself on this one. Check it out.
Repeating something over and over expecting different results is the pure definition of insanity. So why are major league managers married to the analytics of bringing relief pitchers in after the fifth or sixth innings, when it's proven they're blowing as many games as they're saving? bradley's had enough of this nonsense and 5he real numbers, not the analytics tell you. somethings got to change.
So bradley's noticed - sports is changing to meet the needs of the next generation. Old school fans who carried them to heights they never dreamed possible, are now expendable. bradley does his best to explain the changes - and why they're here to stay, in spite of our displeasure with them.
For once, bradley's got nothing to bitch about. Not sure what's wrong with him, but he's got a wire of some of the fun we're enjoying as sports fans lately. Take it in while you can - it can't last.
bradley is tired of these social media losers spreading bad vibes about things no one really wants to hear about - like whether of not the Savannah Bananas are to be considered to be playing baseball or not. Take a listen.
The NCAA will be opening the past season tournament to 76 teams. That's almost one in five of the eligible Division One men's programs. What's that going to look like? bradley has HIS ideas and reminds you, don't get suckered in by all the happy talk coming out of Overland Park.
bradley got hooked on wrestling when he was just a kid. Take a walk down Nostalgia Lane with him and gain some respect for the wrestlers, who may be the best athletes of all.
bradley loves the Stanley Cup playoffs. Here's five reasons why they should be number one on your list this time of year as well.
bradley is in a foul mood (what's new, right?), and he's had enough of some of the garbage spilling out into the sports world. So get ready for some serious carping.
bradley will never tolerate game day foods that break with tradition. Because tradition is so much a part of sports. So don't become the sucker at the table when it comes to game day parties that try to change the rules.
Everyone and their Uncle Sid is now poised to publish their idea of what the NFL teams will do during the draft in April. They're called Mock Drafts and some of these dweebs offer 4,5,6 - ENDLESS versions of what they think will happen. It may be fun in a bar for an hour or two with friends, but bradley thinks anything more than that - well, you should check in for mental health care. Check it out.
