for Epic Universe. This means it's not just friends and family,
it's not just VIPs. Literally, anyone that's a pass holder

Jimmy has been to Epic Universe.

on Facebook that has not been except for me. Yeah,
I have a friend that met a girl at jury duty,
just a random meat at jury duty. She got taken
to Epic Universe.

Remember years ago when during COVID and they did the
Horrorites that was really just two houses, but they did
it during the day, and then for Halloween weekend they
did the Beatlejuice House. Yes, and it was like very
select who could do it? And I told you, I

just waited around outside of the area and they were like, hey,
do you want to go do this? Is that what
people are doing? I'm not condoning. I'm not saying that
people should do that, but like, are they just driving by?

Maybe like you don't have you work there and you
don't have a friend. You see some guy hanging, Hey,
you want to come? I don't have any friends to bring.
I don't like people, but you can come if you want.

Well, the thing is like there has been, uh, because
I've seen this that there have been some team members
that have been fired for like or discipline for before
it was allowed taking pictures, oh yeah, posting on social media.
Because the first initial previews were nothing. You could not
take any pictures or anything. And it was very much like,
don't talk about your experiences unless they're officially because they

have picture like photographers for like you like at the
at the outside of outside of each portal and stuff
like that. But now you can, like you have like
free rein. But there were like team members that were
like stealing things, uh like merchandise and stuff.

But now yeah, annual pass holders can go to as

I will say Ministry, the Battle of the Ministry. The
Harry Potter ride has a virtual cue.

Okay. I saw some pictures of just the outside of it.
It looks amazing, Yeah, just incredible. I mean, they never
they never miss a beat when they do a Harry
Potter section. It looks like this is maybe the best
one yet.

Absolutely, and it's weird right now. Initially, earlier in the week,
it was like a couple of times that the virtual
queue would open. Now it's kind of just like you
gotta pay attention to your phone for when they open
it up. Well, this this was this was the last
ride to open for previews.

Yeah, so they're very much controlling the demand of it.
The Carouseale ten minutes, The Curse of the Werewolf ten minutes,
Dragon Racers Rally ten minutes. That's the how to train
your Dragon roller coaster. Okay, fire Drill, which is like
the water boat ride five minutes, Hippogriff Wing Gliders ten minutes,

Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge twenty five minutes. That's great, Mine
Cart Madness, The Donkey Kong Ride, Yes please, twenty minutes.

But when I looked earlier, I think the most I
saw was like a forty five minute wait.

you can't get these tickets right now. They're so out
anytime soon.

No, these are sold These are sold out, So like
later on in the period, you can't. When I got mine,
I'm going May fourth because my thought process was a
the first few days were already sold out. But it's
like if I wait a little bit closer to opening,
like I'm like two weeks away from the grand opening,

maybe there's a chance of more things being opened. They've
worked out kinks on some rides, stuff like that.

Can you buy more tickets as a passholder? Can you
bring your non pass holder friends? No? Thank it than
all right there it goes that.

Yeah, trust me, it's uh we'll talk about it offline.

I would absolutely if I could if I could have,
I absolutely would have gotten least like you and Jimmy
a ticket if if I could have. But it's just, yeah,

I will say, it's comparable to what I paid for
my ticket in June.

But my guess is what's happening is they're controlling the crowd.
They don't want they want these previous to be enjoyable experiences.

did Galaxy's Edge and Rise of the Resistance.

No, I'm sure opening day will have a bigger crowd,
and I'm sure they're over these next few like basically
the next month, they'll be gradually increasing the amount of
people that are going, just just you know, staffing, making
sure they's works exactly. And also I believe Grand Helios,
the big hotel, is also just opened for uh patrons.

Oh okay, I want to go check that out.

It's a little bit I believe it's a little bit
cheaper right now, but once that, once it gets later
on in the month and leading up to the grand opening,
it will be expensive. It is there. It is their
signature hotel.

Yeah. Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be that's that's gonna be
an amazing spot too. I can't I can't imagine like
going up there. Do you know how late they're staying
open right now? Are they open to Like it's a
little after seven as we record this, it's like eight o'clock.

when it gets into the summer periods.

preview of like I just want to like experience these
kind of things.

have to just like take time and take it all in,
just because of the amount of work that has gone
into the thought that goes into these things, and the
intricate details of just the visuals, not even just the ride.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Yeah. And it's like I will tell you once I
when when I'm gonna go I'm gonna find out what
time it opens and what I'm a close because I
want to maximize that time.

Yeah, be there, ready to go. Are you planning on
staying at the hotel on your preview or only in
the summer.

When you can only in the summer?

when we went to Galaxy's Edge and had to get

on like film Twitter, where somebody like a preview came
out and somebody's like, I'm seated, I'm in the theater.
The movie doesn't come out until August. The ushers are
telling me to leave.

That would be me. I would just go there right
now and wait.

It's gonna wait, it's gonna wait it out and see

a full on new park opening first one in uh

The thing is, though, that you do get you will
be able to get discounts if you are an annual passolder.
They have said that is a thing. Okay, So there
are disc ounce on like foods and experiences and shopping.

So I guess they don't have any real specials on
annual passes right now at Universal.

I don't know. If I have a fifteen month Yeah,
certain times they'll give you extra months. They'll give you
some money out if you bring a coke can or
something stupid. Mm hmm, yeah, I don't on this one

Wait, I know it, just it seems like just such
a hassle. I got to bring the coke can, really,
I mean, I just not give the discount.

center of city walk they have that like coke stand
that also plays like music videos on top of it.
I think I bought a bottle of coke from there
as I walked to the ticket booth to get the discounts.

ride coming soon. I mean we haven't seen the date
for that yet, but they said it's soon.

said a date. They've been kind of quiet about it.

There's the Smaller Kids resort in Texas that opens next.

Well, the prevailing thought has been you want to draw
people to you know, here California. You know they're opening
up a new Harry Potter thing at Epic Universe. There
are other Harry Potter's you don't want to have it everywhere,
and in London there is a Warner Brothers Harry Potter Experience. Okay,
so it's you know, maybe there was a conversation of hey,

don't steal from one to help the other kind of thing.
Because they are doing a Harry Potter TV show. There's
going to be renewed interest in this and they're already
is massive interested in general.

You can always put it in their back pocket too,
so like you launch without it, but you know, five
years down the road, oh let's let's spike the attendance
again by opening up a Harry Potter Land exactly. Yeah, yeah,
they're thinking, they're thinking long term. It's the expansion is impressive.
Like we went from COVID going are these guys even
gonna survive? Are they even gonna do Epic Universe to

They remember they paused construction on Epic Universe for months.

like as soon as we get rid of the reservation system,

Yeah, I know, so Disney, wake up, let's get rid
of it.

It doesn't look like you can scuba dive though with manates.

Like the regular fish turtles, reefish, sting, raisin, sharks.

in town. Disney they'll plod along, they'll get it in
three years. Universal they'll lie about it. They'll say, you

going on on standing. They open up, Uh yeah, they
open up something. And SeaWorld's just like, oh yeah, hey,
by the way, we open or ride if you guys
want to come ride it. It's cool.

It's the it's the it's new ride that's coming, Like
it's coming. It's coming real fast, but I have no ise.
It's gonna pop up and it's oh, here it is.

one has the right thought process.

Who's the fastest? Is it Universal or SeaWorld? Jefly not
Disney Disney's, without a doubt the slowest.

I think it's SeaWorld. I think they're the fastest.

Yeah? I mean it, I don't So it depends on
what they're building. You know, with SeaWorld is just a
roller coaster with you know, lost a coaster that's a
roller coaster with like a massive queue. You've got animatronics
inside of the queue. There's a little bit more involved
than that.

Yeah, there is so much involved, that's true. Ye see
roll the Seaworll will crank him out. Seawell cranked out
that Penguin coaster. Uh, this new ride is going to
be a family ride. I'm looking forward to it, and

Universal Orlando. And they said, uh, he gets two percent
of the profits for the whole park in perpetuity.

rich enough before, he just has money. Just people back
a truck of money up to his house on a
weekly basis.

I mean, remember when they first opened up Universal. It's like,
you know, on things he either made or produced. I mean,
you know, jaws et later on it was Back to
the Future, like those three things he was a part
of Men in Black he produced.

to Epic Universe.

Remember years ago when during COVID and they did the
Horrorites that was really just two houses, but they did
it during the day, and then for Halloween weekend they
did the Beatlejuice House. Yes, and it was like very
select who could do it? And I told you, I

just waited around outside of the area and they were like, hey,
do you want to go do this? Is that what
people are doing? I'm not condoning. I'm not saying that
people should do that, but like, are they just driving by?

Maybe like you don't have you work there and you
don't have a friend. You see some guy hanging, Hey,
you want to come? I don't have any friends to bring.
I don't like people, but you can come if you want.

Well, the thing is like there has been, uh, because
I've seen this that there have been some team members
that have been fired for like or discipline for before
it was allowed taking pictures, oh yeah, posting on social media.
Because the first initial previews were nothing. You could not
take any pictures or anything. And it was very much like,
don't talk about your experiences unless they're officially because they

have picture like photographers for like you like at the
at the outside of outside of each portal and stuff
like that. But now you can, like you have like
free rein. But there were like team members that were
like stealing things, uh like merchandise and stuff.

But now yeah, annual pass holders can go to as

I will say Ministry, the Battle of the Ministry. The
Harry Potter ride has a virtual cue.

Okay. I saw some pictures of just the outside of it.
It looks amazing, Yeah, just incredible. I mean, they never
they never miss a beat when they do a Harry
Potter section. It looks like this is maybe the best
one yet.

Absolutely, and it's weird right now. Initially, earlier in the week,
it was like a couple of times that the virtual
queue would open. Now it's kind of just like you
gotta pay attention to your phone for when they open
it up. Well, this this was this was the last
ride to open for previews.

Yeah, so they're very much controlling the demand of it.
The Carouseale ten minutes, The Curse of the Werewolf ten minutes,
Dragon Racers Rally ten minutes. That's the how to train

the water boat ride five minutes, Hippogriff Wing Gliders ten minutes,

But when I looked earlier, I think the most I
saw was like a forty five minute wait.

you can't get these tickets right now. They're so out
anytime soon.

No, these are sold These are sold out, So like
later on in the period, you can't. When I got mine,
I'm going May fourth because my thought process was a
the first few days were already sold out. But it's
like if I wait a little bit closer to opening,
like I'm like two weeks away from the grand opening,

maybe there's a chance of more things being opened. They've
worked out kinks on some rides, stuff like that.

Can you buy more tickets as a passholder? Can you
bring your non pass holder friends? No? Thank it than

Yeah, trust me, it's uh we'll talk about it offline.

But my guess is what's happening is they're controlling the crowd.
They don't want they want these previous to be enjoyable experiences.
They don't want it to be When we went and
did Galaxy's Edge and Rise of the Resistance.

No, I'm sure opening day will have a bigger crowd,
and I'm sure they're over these next few like basically
the next month, they'll be gradually increasing the amount of
people that are going, just just you know, staffing, making
sure they's works exactly. And also I believe Grand Helios,
the big hotel, is also just opened for uh patrons.

Oh okay, I want to go check that out.

It's a little bit I believe it's a little bit
cheaper right now, but once that, once it gets later
on in the month and leading up to the grand opening,
it will be expensive. It is there. It is their
signature hotel.

Yeah. Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be that's that's gonna be
an amazing spot too. I can't I can't imagine like
going up there. Do you know how late they're staying
open right now? Are they open to Like it's a

intricate details of just the visuals, not even just the ride.

time it opens and what I'm a close because I
want to maximize that time.

be able to get discounts if you are an annual passolder.

are disc ounce on like foods and experiences and shopping.

certain times they'll give you extra months. They'll give you

Wait, I know it, just it seems like just such
a hassle. I got to bring the coke can, really,

that also plays like music videos on top of it.

as I walked to the ticket booth to get the discounts.

Yeah, why how how would you not have Harry Potter

Well, the prevailing thought has been you want to draw
people to you know, here California. You know they're opening
up a new Harry Potter thing at Epic Universe. There
are other Harry Potter's you don't want to have it everywhere,
and in London there is a Warner Brothers Harry Potter Experience. Okay,
so it's you know, maybe there was a conversation of hey,

don't steal from one to help the other kind of thing.
Because they are doing a Harry Potter TV show. There's
going to be renewed interest in this and they're already
is massive interested in general.

You can always put it in their back pocket too,
so like you launch without it, but you know, five
years down the road, oh let's let's spike the attendance
again by opening up a Harry Potter Land exactly. Yeah, yeah,
they're thinking, they're thinking long term. It's the expansion is impressive.
Like we went from COVID going are these guys even
gonna survive? Are they even gonna do Epic Universe to

They remember they paused construction on Epic Universe for months.

they will be releasing povs of the Resistance on Disney Plus.

When are we getting our extra scenes in the Millennium
Falcon Ride?
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Next next year? When we get the Mandalorian and Gurugu movie.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Oh, it's gonna take a while. Huh. Yes. They take
their time on everything over there, though. They plant it out,
They plot it out, and then you wait and then
it eventually comes.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
But you know, we've talked about this of who kind
of has the best thought process.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Because it's three different ones for our three main parks
in town. Disney they'll plod along, they'll get it in
three years. Universal they'll lie about it. They'll say, you
don't you don't know what's happening over here. There's nothing
going on on standing. They open up, Uh yeah, they
open up something. And SeaWorld's just like, oh yeah, hey,
by the way, we open or ride if you guys
want to come ride it. It's cool.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
We opened to ride last week. Did you get our email?
Speaker 3 (21:30):
It's the it's the it's new ride that's coming, Like
it's coming. It's coming real fast, but I have no ise.
It's gonna pop up and it's oh, here it is.
It's a ride at sea World.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
Yeah, it's it's in. And I never can decide which
one has the right thought process.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Who's the fastest? Is it Universal or SeaWorld? Jefly not
Disney Disney's, without a doubt the slowest.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
I think it's SeaWorld. I think they're the fastest.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Yeah, just crank it out, is get it going?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah? I mean it, I don't So it depends on
what they're building. You know, with SeaWorld is just a
roller coaster with you know, lost a coaster that's a
roller coaster with like a massive queue. You've got animatronics
inside of the queue. There's a little bit more involved
than that.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Yeah, there is so much involved, that's true. Ye see
roll the Seaworll will crank him out. Seawell cranked out
that Penguin coaster. Uh, this new ride is going to
be a family ride. I'm looking forward to it, and
it should be, I guess. I think they said spring,
so I think that's in the next couple of months. Yeah,
they have to get it done well.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Pipeline was also like a very fast Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Pipeline came quick too. Yeah. Yeah, they all miss around
over there.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
I was listening to another a different podcast, Dare you Well.
They were talking about like Universal, Steven Spielberg, all of
these things, you know, pertinent to us. Uh, And they
were talking about the fact that we always talked about
when it comes to Steven Spielberg and Universal Studios.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
His jacket.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
No, he has like he has like a contract with
Universal Orlando. And they said, uh, he gets two percent
of the profits for the whole park in perpetuity.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Oh my gosh, that was a deal. Geez. Two percent
of profits in Oh my god. He's if he wasn't
rich enough before, he just has money. Just people back
a truck of money up to his house on a
weekly basis.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
I mean, remember when they first opened up Universal. It's like,
you know, on things he either made or produced. I mean,
you know, jaws et later on it was Back to
the Future, like those three things he was a part
of Men in Black he produced.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
I said, hey, what do we gotta do to get
you in, Stephen? Two percent of profits forever? That can't
be that much. Two percent. Sure, let's do it.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
That's a good lawyer.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
Right there is just the one park there is? Is
it all the parks? Is it just the one? Just
Universal Studios. I feel like it's just Universal Studio.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
I mean it may just be whatever here, okay in Orlando.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
I feel like he should get a chunk of isolence.
I feel like it just should be you.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Know why he directed Jurassic Park.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
Okay, well maybe he does. Maybe maybe that's maybe that's
the case. I don't know. We'll investigate that further. Maybe
we'll have Steven Spielberg on the show. Scott, We're just
