Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dash with DJ four and it's Sat Warner Bustin's number
one for Hip Hop Jamming ninety four five.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
One year ago today, I said goodbye to my Drizzy Drake,
my dog. And we talked a little bit about this
yesterday because the Rock lost his dog, and when you
lose a pet, it's just it hits so different. I remember,
like the cries that were coming out of my body.
I remember saying to the fireman, like when does this stop?
(00:33):
Because there the love from the pets are just it's
just so unconditional, it really is. And we also chatted
about it because yesterday I was saying how Teddy, just
Teddy's sending me lately, and not because I don't love
him so much, but he's just low on the priority
(00:56):
list with the kids and and then me trying to
get myself my husband the house.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Like Teddy looks at me wrong, and I'm like what what?
Speaker 2 (01:05):
What is it? So just for a little reference for everybody,
I think ninety nine percent of the people that listen
to this show know this. But in my lifetime, I've
had two dogs, Drake and Teddy. I brought Teddy into
our lives.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Eight years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
At this point, and I know it was a decision
that Drake is still like why do we do this?
Because Teddy was nuts? Eddy is nuts, But we love
our little ted golden doodle. Now, the Fireman has his
own dog that is not my dog, that that is
his dog.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
I've never really had a relationship with his dog, but
you know, we all live.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
And her name is Kima, named after Shakima Greggs from
the Wire. Certainly a point of contention right now in
my marriage are the dogs. You know, it's just again
we we we need to do a better job of
(02:03):
carving out time for the dogs. It's a just loan
the list his dogs that both of us we've had
to have a set down with each other about the dogs,
like it's it's not good and I'm you know, it's
that they're crying for attention and in doing that, Teddy
is like chewing toys and his dogs his dog is
(02:25):
like eating clothes. Now that's sending me to the moon
because the dog is eating like clothes that I care
about and whatever on this show, Just so we're all clear,
have I ever claimed to have a relationship and or
like the Fireman's dog? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:48):
So why am I getting messages like this, all.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Right, Yeah, so just a little fun thing here. Yeah,
so actually said that her friends listened to the podcast,
so our friends would be telling me, Ashley that the
podcast messes up so much as absolutely annoying. Second of all, Ashley,
you're not a real animal or dog person, so why
are you even pretending to like your husband's dog. You've
already said that you hate that dog, and it just
(03:13):
rubbed me such a wrong way because you've only liked.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Your dog, Drake in ample.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Yeah, Ashley, I'm really gonna need you to just take
a step back and admit that you have said out
loud that if it weren't for Drake, you would not
be a dog person. So don't sit there and try
to convince us that you love your husband's dog, Teddy,
because we all know you don't. The fact that I
saw a picture of him on your story the other
(03:39):
day was mind blowing because I know that you're not
a real dog person. At the end of the day,
like you said.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
You were, imagine, why is she so much sad? Why
she's so That's what I'm talking about with the talkbacks.
That's for people to go to be upset.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
But she has all the facts wrong. She has all
the facts wrong.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Number one, Honey, I have two dogs, have Drake, who
is in Doggie Heaven, and I have Teddy Idiot.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
The fireman's dog's name.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Is Keema, and I never talk about that dog because
I don't have a relationship with dogs. And I think
I've also been very honest that as I've gotten older,
I'm not sure if I am. I I love animals
and I do love dogs. I just think that after
my dogs, I'm all good. I met before, and I've
made that clear. I've never hidden that fact. I love
(04:27):
my dogs and that's pretty much it, and I, after
my dogs, probably will not ever get another.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
I mean is that you kind of got forced into
dog to be a dogging man, right, because you got
because you got gifted that. It's not like you went
out and looked for dog. Somebody gifted you. It was
your old boss that bought.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
You a dog. Right. I was like, here you got
he got me Drake. Okay, yeah, he bought me Drake.
I wasn't trying to get a dog at that time.
I was single in Saint Louis. Drake got brought into
my life and it was obviously the best ever and
then eventually I got teddy.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
But yeah, like that's that's it for me. I don't
know what he is talking about because she clearly doesn't listen.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Clearly she has issues going on in personal life to
be that mad about it, But then she's following you
across the board, and clearly she's dug in on everything
that you're posting. But to be that mad to leave
a talk back like that, Yeah, like she needs a hug,
she really does. And she thought she got me too,
like she thought she had something. Yeah, you've said you
don't like his dog. I know I never said yesterday
(05:26):
that I did.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Let's just say that you were completely wrong. And I'm
following you on Instagram. I'm like, I'm I have other
stuff to worry about. Then leave a talk back about
your dog. By the way, I'm not, I just want
everyone to I'm not bragging about this. I wish that
I was better with his dog, like I wish. I
really do. I I just have, I have. I have
(05:51):
no feelings in my body for this dog.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
I feed the dog, I give the dog treats, I
take care of the dog when he's not there, obviously.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Yeah, I just I just never had a connection with her.
Do you ever like accidentally leave the door open and
hopes that she runs away. I feel like put a
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Bowl of food outside, throw a bowl down the street,
don't find it.
