Welcome to the Talanoa Ako NCEA Series 2026, supporting Pacific students, parents, and families to better understand the NCEA journey In Week 1, we explore the foundations of NCEA and what it means for learners across secondary school. This episode covers: • What NCEA is and how it works • How students can pass and succeed • Understanding Common Assessment Activities (CAA) • The latest updates on the ongoing NCEA review. We also share helpful guidance for parents on accessing school portals, tracking their child’s progress, and understanding the new Level 1 standards. To ensure our Pacific communities stay informed and connected, the Talanoa Ako series is available in seven Pacific languages — Cook Islands Māori, Fijian, Niuean, Samoan, Tokelauan, Tongan, and Tuvaluan — as well as English. Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
