"Long distance is a lie teenagers tell each other to get laid the summer before college."
Covering episodes 16 and 17, Cupcake and Life Among the Gorillas, Nick and Miki get a master class from Ted in what not to do in a long-distance relationship. Meanwhile, Robin continues to struggle with her feelings for Ted, and Barney convinces Marshall to take a high-paying internship at his company—which Lily isn’t loving.
Chapter...
"It's quid pro bro!"
Nick and Miki cover episodes 14 and 15, “Zip, Zip, Zip” and “Game Night,” where Ted and Victoria—and even Lily and Marshall—have some firsts in their relationships. But, more importantly, we learn Barney’s original story! Will I ever see another rainbow?!?
Chapters:
"Or Ictor! ... She probably doesn't go by Ictor."
Nick and Miki are delighted to welcome one of our favorite characters to the fold! In this episode, where we cover "The Wedding" and "Drumroll, Please," we'll talk weddings, vodka cranberries, and whether it's possible to preserve a perfect memory.
Chapters:
"I'm something stupid, do me."
Today Nick and Miki cover one of their favorite episodes and guest stars, The Pineapple Incident (episode 10) featuring Danica McKellar. They also cover The Limo (episode 11). Topics discussed include consent while drunk, the sudden return of will-they-won’t-they with Ted and Robin, and the wonders of congestion pricing.
Chapters:
"Hab slosi' quch!"
In episodes 8 and 9, The Duel and Belly Full of Turkey, Nick and Miki weigh in on “the Lemon Law,” strip clubs, and the awkwardness of getting to know your significant other’s family. Plus, a special unhinged rant from Miki about lack of access to public restrooms.
Chapters:
"You bastard. I actually got excited about this."
In episodes 6 and 7, The Slutty Pumpkin and Matchmaker, Nick and Miki witness Ted “Ted out” in his quest to find the One–with some cringy results. Robin gets introspective about whether she would rather be a “we” or an “I.” Meanwhile, Lily and Marshall have a harrowing brush with the supernatural–luckily, Nick has some credible theories...
"I'm not EFFABLE?!?!?!"
Join Nick and Miki to break down episodes 4 and 5 of HIMYM: Return of the Shirt and Okay Awesome. Asking ourselves: Is there a good way to break up with someone? And what's the etiquette cutting the line at a bar? We also take a stroll down memory lane, reminiscing about the early days of the internet ("fire ze missiles!!!!").
Chapters:
"Okay, I'll be casual. I'll be a mushroom cloud of casual."
In our second episode, we cover HIMYM episodes 2 and 3: Purple Giraffe and Sweet Taste of Liberty. We’ll discuss Ted’s and Robin’s decision about where to take things after Ted’s admission of love on their first date, see how Robin becomes integrated into the gang, and ask why does Ted hang out with Barney?
Chapters:
"Let me guess? Ted."
