Speaker 1 (00:00):
What is the blink? And what are you missing?
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Hey, It's Judy for Billy and Judy in the Morning
and welcome to the B and J Replay podcast, where
you will get your google Buster answer and extras including
under sky Vibe report about whether or not it's really
your intuition, that gut feeling or whether you're second guessing yourself,
and how to know the difference, life hacks, and so
much more.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
It's all on the replay.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Thank you so much for subscribing and making us your
number one preset on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
We'll call this say would you rather Wednesday? It's as
simple as this, would you rather PC? Or Mac? I
initially was on one team. I have since switched teams,
and I know that Judy feels very strongly about her
favorite as well. Will lay out exactly why we feel
the way we feel and then want you to get
in on the conversation as well. Honey, would you rather Wednesday? PC?
(00:48):
Or Mac? Just be thinking about that. Also, as always,
the chance to win absolutely nothing with your google Buster question.
Tic tac do is back tick tac do three in
a row for your chance to win. Will that just
before seven thirty and then speaking of chances to win
all day long, one thousand dollars pay day continues. The
thousand bucks up for crab starts at eight am this morning,
(01:09):
So plenty of reasons clearly to hang out with us
all the way into work, including Genesis. That's all is
yours less than ten minutes with us, Billy and Judy
in the morning. How about the news you need to
know before you go for this? Wednesday, April the sixteenth,
Mark Zuckerberg pushes back against delegations in day two of
his anti trust trial. The Astros, Blank Tower, Cardinals two
(01:29):
to nothing yesterday. Get those stories end more with our
news on demand section. Now we spill the team with
Judy d.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Ready to get your wallet ready for buying a Mother's
Day tumbler. That's right, the Stanley is releasing you know,
the Stanley tumbler. They're releasing a Mother's Day tubbler, limited
edition tumbler that comes in two sizes at his deep
red desert blooms with.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Off white background.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
The resort floral tumblers come in thirty and forty ounce sizes.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
You know it's going to be expensive.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Because that's the one thing we all need. Another time,
I feel like such a failure. I went over to
Bush Stadium last night. We had a little shindy for
the iHeartRadio Saint Louis staff. And first of all, I
always try to get to Cardinals games a couple of
hours early so I can get good parking, right.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Of course, yeah, of course.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
I was parking the Thombs parking lot. It's just to
the east of the stadium. So yesterday my mom, who
is retired and lives in our dungeon, well, she had
a doctor's appointment that put us a little behind because
she was watching the boys while my wife, Melissa, and
I went down to the ballpark. So we get there
late on panics, because you know, I'm a creature of habit,
will I be able to find a parking space? And
the Thumbs parking lot I get that it was empty.
(02:41):
It was so sad. And then I go over to
Bush Stadium. It was empty. It was so sad. And
let me tell you something, we actually have a pretty
darn good ball team.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
You know what that is.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
That's the one thing I don't understand for a town
that is so into their teams, especially Cardinals, why are they.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Fair with Well, it's not so much they're fair with
their fans. Look, and I'm not representing all Cardinal nation here,
but I think that the Cardinals fans are frustrated. They
don't feel like the ownership is really trying to put
forth the best team, spending the money to get the
best players. And so this is basically their way of
sort of protesting by not going to the ballpark, which
is sad because again, it is a really good team
(03:19):
out there's some fantastic pitching. Oh, by the way, we
did lose yesterday, But there's that other reason. I feel
like a failure. Anytime you check it at the ballpark,
people always say, bring us home a winner, and I
fail to.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Oh see, it's all your fault.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
But I mean, don't we want to help our new
players feel better.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
And if you're showing up and saying, hey, we love you.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
No matter what, you know what I want. I want
those players who got signed by the Cardinals, that were
brought up in the organization. I want them to make
it to the big leagues and feel what baseball feels like.
We're supposed to feel like in Saint Louis. So let's
get back out to the ballpark.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Yeah, come on, support our team.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
I will say on a side note, as we were
driving to the ballpark, I was like, man, look at
all these people going to the game. And my wife
Melissa said, uh, they're going to the hockey game. And
then you look they were all in blues jerseys and
all the cars around. So there you go. While I
was over at the ballpark, Judy, anything exciting happening in
your world.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
I'm just trying to rearrange everything because I'm still in
a moving phase after being out of the country, and
I just have you ever been where you're just trying
to get will do?
Speaker 3 (04:19):
You're not like that? No, I spent my life organized somehow.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
I spent my life trying to get organized. Sure, we
have a way for you to get one hundred dollars
gift cards.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Yeah, this is a great new game on Game Show Network.
It's called Tic Tac. Do we kind of have our
own version of it?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Yeah, Tic Tac dough three in a row for one
hundred dollars gift cards.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
I'll do that at about seven twenty five. Right now
you get bon Jovi Wanted Dead or Alive and a conversation.
This is so odd. I was talking to Judy about
an iMac that I am at home that I don't
want anymore. I was going to donate it. I got
it out, I was going to like wipe the thing clean,
and then my eight year old son came walking into
the kitchen and said, Dad, what do you got there?
Told me he said, I want it. See you don't
(05:02):
want it. You don't want to Mac. That's why I'm
getting rid of it and shooting again the exact story.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
I was like in shock because and that's so weird
that you did it the same exact day that I
was trying to wipe clean Hewlett Packard PC because it
does never work right.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
So my issue with the Mac is I feel like
they own you. Once you get into that world, you
kind of have to stay in their world. They kind
of lock everything down and force you to just use
Mac stuff. And I don't like that. And so then
my wife convinced me to get a Surface Pro about
a year ago. I love it, and I love that
I'm back in that world.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
See, I cannot stand it. It's so slow. In fact,
I've probably used that computer, the HP which was all
Microsoft stuff comes on it and maybe for about a
month and that it just slowed down and it just
updates whatever it wants. I can't even reinstall it, like
make it from the beginning.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
It won't let me.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
So you basically are a Mac person for everything. Yes, iPhone?
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Watch wait you have an iPhone on an Apple Watch.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Well, I'm gonna get rid of them. I'm not happy
with them.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
So PC or Mac? That's the question?
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yeah, simp was that would you rather have a PC?
Would rather have a Mac? Kind of helping us at
a little debate we have here in the studio.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Yeah, you could call us eight sixty six billiy gid
or you there's that great free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
It's really lovely on my Apple phone.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
To say oh boy, yeah, it's called talkback. Hit that
little red microphone. That message gets us right here in
the studio on a would you rather Wednesday?
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Researchers always have to find something new. This is kind
of cool. It's a study about the formula for having
a perfect day. It includes a lot of family times.
Six hours of family time, six hours for work and
two hours with friends, and only one hour of screen time.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
It has no hours for yourself. I don't like this science.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
So now when you say six hours for family, time
you mean a month, I think they.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Mean a day.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
It's a perfect day after all of a sudden, I'm
gonna put this whole list of because it's really really
like how manylog you should eat all this. It's kind
of interesting. And that is the tea with us Billy
and Judy.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
So it's kind of interesting because it is a would
you're rather Wednesday? Feels like a Team Tuesday. It does
because I'm all about the PC. I've recently converted. I
started out obviously he's a PC guy, and then several
years ago went over to the Mac world, and now
I'm selling all of that stuff and going back to
PC because I miss it so much.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
You know, you could sell me all of your Apple stuff.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
You were devastated by this news because you're all about
the Mac.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Yeah, and you're the one who got me all into
Apple products.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Now I'm like, great, what are you doing? Why are
you getting rid of? You know, your Mac?
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Don't do it? So Team Judy or Team Billy out
it would you rather Wednesday?
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Yeah? Just like that?
Speaker 3 (07:39):
What's your name?
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Chad?
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Team Billy of course.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
A PC PC guy?
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yes, let me taste some. Oh so first of all,
why yeah, I did it, you know, because once they
get you, they got you like they force you to. It
just drives me crazy.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
You don't think.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Microsoft does that. No, they're very giving, the very they
are not.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
They don't share anything from.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
And we are opened and ready for anyone with open arms.
Speaker 4 (08:04):
Like Journey Easy Android.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
One vote for t Billy.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Well, you won yesterday, so you're awesome. No wait, I
won yesterday.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
She's just gonna ramble up. Hey, have a great day.
Thanks for the call, Thank Derek. But biting away the
little glitchy sound you hear from time to time, it's
because we're using a macimistice.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
No we are not. You're lying. It's a PC.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
It's Billy and Judy with a question so difficult you
shouldn't be able to google the answer.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
That's why we call it the google Buster question. Question
four this morning, Judy, about nine percent to public school
students don't have this option that most of us did
when we were in school. What is that option?
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Oh, they don't get to do like theater and music.
They took it out.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Some schools are cutting the fine arts. Yes, we say
that's a travisty.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
It is totally Also.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
We were theater rats. That is, however, incorrect, Amundo. And
I can also tell you, having perused the guesses on
the billion Judy Facebook page, has it right so well?
Speaker 1 (09:00):
You could have told me that before I took one
of their guests.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Nine percent of public school students don't have this option
that most of us had when we were in school.
What is that option?
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Have you ever heard of what the blink is?
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Maybe you read this book that my co host on
the podcast talks about professional astrologer Thomas Miller. Is just
a little taste of it. I have this battle, and
I know I'm not alone. Is it my intuition?
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Really, Judie?
Speaker 4 (09:30):
It's the number one question I get when we start
talking about intuition. Malcolm Gladwell wrote a classic called Blink,
and the blink is the very first impulse you get
when something crosses your path. He starts out with a
story of a museum that wanted to acquire this beautiful painting.
All these PhDs on the acquisition committee were absolutely certain
(09:50):
that it was an original, except one. This one felt
from the very beginning he heard about it that something
was off, and sure enough it was a fake.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
So here's the way it works.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
So we are generally always in tune with that intuition
that's within us. I'm going to say it it's God
within us, source within us, higher power, universe, whatever however
you attribute it, but it is that connection with our
creator that is always on switch. Now, I do think
we can do things to dampen it loud noise, you know,
(10:25):
like being in a busy airport, you're not going to
be tuned in like you are if you're sitting out
in the woods under a tree. So the calmer we
can keep ourselves, the closer it gets. But when something
hits you, the very first impulse you have, that's the
connection with God. And then what we as humans do,
We start processing it in our head. And Malcolm Gladwell
(10:47):
goes to great lengths to say that when we do,
the blink is over. So that's how you tell it's intuition.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Ah, So now you know you got to listen to
the blink and how you listen to the whole podcast
sky Vibe Show with me, Judy Diamond and Thomas Miller,
and you will learn a technique that is really easy
on how to listen to the blank, and that is
your Skyvibe report.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Trying to get an answer to this morning's google Buster question. Yes, Judy,
I will give you the question again. About nine percent
of public school students don't have this option, but most
of us did when we were kids. What is that option?
Oh gosh, pe physical education. No, it was not it.
(11:33):
I was shocked that you didn't guess, like a bidet.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
In the bathroom, I'm not going to do it. Not
doing it today?
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Eight six six two fifty eight. What's your name? I
don't think anybody's going to get this, Kathy, what do
you think the answer is?
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Is it going home for lunch?
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah, that's you know, leaving campus. We got to do
that when we're kids. I don't know if do they
have people do that these days in high school?
Speaker 1 (11:55):
We got to do it.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
No.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Does it have anything to do with eating.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Nothing to do with food, something that you would look
forward to every year?
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Oh, summer break, that diamond, it's.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Absolutely Craig Cob Wait, they don't have summer break.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Would you guys believe that one out of nine students
today goes to school year round? Oh wow, that's awesome.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
I'm a teacher.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
I'm glad I'm that year round.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
And by the way, thank you for teaching arkiddos.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
Amen, nice job, Thank you, have a great day.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
I don't you know.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
TikTok will make a thing out of everything. And I've
been doing this for years. But there's a big tread
eating cake frosting by itself out of a tub. You
know how many times I did that.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
M that's called diabetes will be.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
I fu to watch it. And that's what the doctors
and experts are saying.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Don't do that. It's not good for you. I don't know.
Maybe they said eat yogurt.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
That's the team all about a chance at winning a
one hundred dollars gift card with an awesome.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Game tic Tac Dough and we're going to play the
radio version of Tic Tech Doe three in a row.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Yeah, we'll do that in less than ten minutes. First
to get you two with us Billy and Judy, Lee
and Judy on one O three point three Kale you
best Friday the eighties and the nineties, Judy, All week long,
we have your chance to win in.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Celebration to two do game shows on game show Network
tic Tech Doe followed by Big O Blitz weeknights starting
at six pm Central.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
So what we're doing basically is our own version of
Tic Tac Doe three in a Row.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
This is pretty cool. So these do game shows that
just premiered this week. Tic Tech Doe is hosted by
Brook Burns, and you compete to place three your marks
in a row on a giant trivia board. But there's
a dragon that tries to block the player. And then
in Big Go Blitz, hosted by the very beloved Valerie Burnelli,
contestin's answer trivia to earn Big Go balls and points.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
It's a multipate game and knowledge strategy.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Luck, everything we know you love about Google Buster, that's
why you love this show.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
I was gonna say, these are basically two game shows
right up my alley. So if you want to play
Tic Tac Dough three in a row with a chance
to win like one hundred dollars gift card, let's let's
take a contestant right now.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Yeah, the first caller.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
Let's just take caller one and see if they can
answer Tic Tac Dough three in.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
A row five three three one oh three three. That's
three one four five three three one oh three three.
Call to play right now, Good luck.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Celebration of new game shows on Game show Network Tic
Tac Dough followed by Bingo Blick weeknights at six pm Central.
We're playing TikTok Doe three in a row.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
There you go. We just need our contestant. What's your name?
Speaker 1 (14:38):
Good morning, Bially, good morning beauty. It's Sandra and Bellville.
How are you doing?
Speaker 3 (14:43):
God, Bellville, it's been a minute, it's been a while, Sandra,
how you doing? And it has been a while.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
I'm having trouble getting in with that new phone number
of your guys.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Oh no, we just don't ever answer it. Uh so ye, Satra,
would you like to play Tic Tac Dough three in
a row? Of course? Oh that's the answer I was
worry for. Right there, Judy Diamond, we have our contestants.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
All right, you have to get three of these immediately
in a row. Well not immediately, but here's the first
one category Auchi. Here's the question, multiple choice, okay, OUCHI drinking?
Which of these can allegedly help with mussel cramps? Is
it A did your beer B light beer or C
(15:27):
pickle juice?
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Pickle juice, pickle juice?
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Says Sandra. Judy Diamond.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Correct, aamundo, that is correct.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
That's one. We need you more, all right.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Here's category two sounds fishy and the question a fish
named Charlie is the mascot of what tuna company?
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Is it star kissed or.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Is it Chicken of the Sea starkist?
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Chicken of the Seas are maids? That is absolutely correct?
Speaker 3 (15:57):
Two for two. We just need one more for Sandred
to all right.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
This is called sew it up, not multiple choice. What
American fashion designer created the brand?
Speaker 3 (16:08):
Polo Rob Larn Rob Lauren, says Sandra, Judy Diamonds.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Because this correct, Yes, did it?
Speaker 3 (16:15):
We got ourselves another Winter Winner Chicken Dinner Beasts And
congratulations Sandra, because you have now nailed our Tic Tac
dough three in a row. Judy diamond what is she won?
Speaker 2 (16:28):
You've got yourself one hundred dollars gift card thanks to
Game Show Network and don't forget to watch Tic Tac Dough,
followed by Bingo Blitz.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
We died starting at sixth central on Game Show Network.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Nice job, Sandra, Thank you. You should probably finish up
our conversation in regards to this. Would you rather Wednesday?
PC or Windows? No? That is same thing, PC, Windows
or Mac debate?
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Yes, and by the way, you say PC Windows, but
really Apple came up with the Windows before any Microsoft did.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Not true, it is true jobs.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
He said, people don't know what they want to you
give it to him.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
And where is he now? Well, he got sick because
he worked really hard. Uh So the question of the
show today. Because I'm getting rid of my Mac. I'm
actually giving it to my eight year old. That's how
much I care about my iMac. I'm giving my thousands
of dollars iMac to my eight year old.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
I think that's fantastic for him.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
And then I'm moving on back to my home. The
PC Windows based product. Judy Diamond thinks I'm crazy, so
she's basically a team Judy on a team Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Give me my Mac anytime. I'm ready to take a
hammer to my PC.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Team Tuesday on it would you rather run? It's the
most confusing thing ever. We did get this talk back message,
so if you search long and hard enough, you'll find
somebody who agrees.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
I am Team Judy all the way. I'm AC no PC,
I'm actual better.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
I mean. The great thing about this conversation is either side.
It's sort of like politics. I know people are so
very strong in their opinions of one or the other.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Well, I'm gonna be really honest and say that I
do a lot of like filming on my phone because
of social media and stuff. I wanted an android. That
guy he called a couple hours ago, whatever, he was wrong.
And when you're in a group tax and everybody's iPhone
and somebody else's Android, they don't get your stuff.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Think Billy and Judy in the Morning, where apparently Judy
says happiness could be right outside your door.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
This is fascinating just for the heck of it.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
This is over the last few years, apparently there have
been documented uptick in loneliness related mental health issues across
the country.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Well, his study was done looking into the people who.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Decorated their front yards with lively items like you know,
lush plants, pink flamingos, and other trinkets little the gnomes,
as opposed to those who had less welcoming home decorations
or even go away or leave.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
Me alone signs.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
So looking at it over at thousand homes, the research
found the livelier and more open homes were the abodes
of more content and well connected people.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
I don't think you really need a study for the personally.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
But now you live in a condo. Yes, do you
have even decorations on your door?
Speaker 1 (19:06):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (19:07):
In fact, it's pretty funny because you can't really tell
what what I'm into because I have a little Buddha
across at this.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
I'm a world for peace.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
I love you all on my door, on your door, yes,
all your neighbors can see.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
And guess what I get when I walk to the
hall is Hi, how you doing?
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Good morning? They're really nice.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
I thought you were gonna say, egged off of this.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Oh you're the one with the staff my lawn sign.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
I have nothing but my security sign in the yard.
And my nemesis is my landscape lighting. I've got like
two of them, yea, that are always like either fading
in an oce like they're not on it all. So
I'm like that little cratchity guy you are man like.
In the middle of the night, I'm out there trying
to figure out why the cable isn't working.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
I wonder why your neighbors don't say leave me alone.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
And that's just the back of it.
