Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week on iHeartRadio. Bye Gosh services around the world,
Cause my name Hony. Teddy's over there. The birthday boy
is surprisingly late and you're listening to Kevin's birthday episode
of What Teddy Correct Crisis on Infinite Podcasts. Hell yeah,

(00:31):
you did it, good job, proud of you. That was
for Kevin, right, that is correct. So Kevin is currently
stuck in traffic, so he will be here shortly, but
don't worry. In the meantime, you get me, you get Teddy,
you get BDS one back there. Yep, that little droid
from Jedi follen Or on Jedi Survivor. We're here chilling
and figured out some chair settings because funny thing is

(00:51):
more put a new chair in here, and I have
no idea how to operated. We're gonna do no maybe
all right, a little bit, a little bit. Uh, we
got a jam back show for you today. Obviously we
are celebrating Kevin's birth today. We have a special fun
surprise for him. Just have some deep diving I did
on his birthday, not him personally, but just his birthday

(01:13):
in general. And we're gonna talk about Sinners, the movie
coming out this weekend, the last of US Season two
Episode one, What we thought about the premiere and as expected,
talking about Daredevil Born Again, breaking down what went down
in episode nine, what we think is gonna happen next
for Day to Devil and the MCU at large. But
you want to see everything we're talking about today and

(01:34):
so much more, you can keep it locked at Infinite
Underscore Pods on the Instagram Odi x go and give
it to you or you know, we got a ton
of good nerdy updates on there. If you want to
see our beautiful faces, see what the room where I
podcast looks like, and see Teddy's beautiful. But because that's
what's inframe right now, you can watch us Twitch dot
tv or YouTube dot com slash Infinite Underscore Pods always

(01:57):
have a good time and it's always fun taking things
to like a new medium. So that way, if you
hear our voices all the time, I want to see
what we look like, see sort of the things we get,
like this Pikachu or anything like that. You can see
that all you're like, Pikachu, what does that mean? Well,
look at the video version you can see what it meant.
But cause Kevin is stuck in traffic, I'm gonna do
and abbreviated what you're doing. Uh. Then obviously we go

(02:19):
back to Kevin whenever he comes back. And if if
I get the text not gonna make it traffick and
moving anytime soon, then we'll move on as expected. But yeah, overall,
let's start this at the segment right now, it's time
to talk about the shows and movies. I and Teddy
technically have been watching the games, we've been playing, the

(02:40):
lives we've been living. And because I'm the only one
here and can talk, an only one who can talk,
I will go first. And actually I might tap in
a certain someone if possible. Let's see if they are available,
and we're gonna call him the Beauty of the podcast,
and we're gonna do a taby tam Hello. Hello are

(03:02):
you hey? Hi? This is Hoodie. You are currently on
the podcast. You're being recorded just so you know, would
you like to be on the podcast for right now?
What I be talking about, whatever you want. We're doing
what you're doing right now, so it's a free for all. Baby.
Oh why would Kevin is stuck in traffic right now
so it'd be nice to Teddy does not talk, so

(03:23):
anybody here would be nice?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yes, can you give me thirty seconds?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Okay, all right, go back. Okay, so thirty seconds. Now,
what's gonna happen is More's gonna walk in here. I
don't have any surprises play. We're just gonna hear what
Moore has been watching and talking about. Mainly she's watched Dickinson,
so we're talking about that because Hayley stifil. But before
More gets in here, yeah, boy actually did start Indiana
Jones in the Great Circle thanks to Bethesda and Machine
Games on PS five, and I gotta say a media

(03:51):
the rip. Greatest feature they have in this game is
you can connect it to your Microsoft account, so you
literally can get all the trophies on your PlayStation version.
And I assume, just because I haven't a lot, I
didn't get a lot of time yet in the game.
Just like thirty minutes the first little thing there, uh,
and those are going on your Xbox. So that's pretty dope.

(04:12):
I know we're not in an era of achievements and
trophy hunting as much as we were like ten years ago,
but something cool if you ever did, like on a
double dip or Microsoft Achievement Points ever mattered one day,
you can just connect them like that. By the being
You're good to go to Teddy. You're gonna watch it, baby,
watch it all right, Teddy's uh, Teddy's going through it now.

(04:34):
That's okay. But on top of the Indiana Jones game,
Teddy just yelped. So that was fun.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
We're recording right now. So it's okay, we're rolling. Baby.
You don't need a chair. You're gonna see your spot.
You're gonna sit right here. It's okay, So more is here.
That's our special guest.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Thank goodness, I didn't wear that do that.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Working wear this shirt?

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Okay, I guess I'll just kind of crap.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
There you go. Uh So we have a new monitor
on the on the on the desk, and I'm gonna
tell you right now it's not good.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Really why it looks you can change the setting.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Okay, Well I have a messing. Okay, we'll message all right,
So we're doing what you're doing. I talked about Indiana
Jones the game. Okay, what have you been doing that
doesn't involve me? Well?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Is this my opportunity to talk about Disney.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
No, that's a different time.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Okay, because I was joking with Andrew that's something, okay, Okay, Okay,
what am I watching?

Speaker 1 (05:29):
So?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
I just finished Love on the Spectrum and that was
pretty good. I recommend it. Yes, Netflix, they just came
out with the third season earlier this month. And then
before that, I was watching Dickenson, which is on Apple TV,
which is about Emily Dickinson. It came out like who's
in two or three years ago? Hailey Steinfeld And there's

(05:53):
a yeah, he's more like a minor type of character.
There's a few other like famous people that pop up
for like random cameos, but that's about it. So I'm
actually looking for recommendations. Last night I was looking around
and did not find anything to watch. So, yeah, unfortunately nothing.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
You could catch up on the MCU and watch all
those shows you missed out on. You do like Hailey Steinfeld,
I know a great show you can watch now?

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Well okay, so actually I tried to watch like the
first three episodes I think of Hawk, yeah, two or three,
and I was like.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
But now that you now that you're like you see
Hailey Steinfeld in a leading role, you were like, all right,
I'm ready.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
For I've seen her another things before, but now.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
A bigger leading role, not just a side character. Perfect
doesn't count. Well, I was going to say he's the
only one of that movie.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
I'm sure she's. Another thing is I can't.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Think of anything, Buble. You didn't see that?

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Oh? Actually, did we saw together? It was like during
the pandemic or something like that.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Yeah, that's it. We're gonna watch them plane this week again.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Did you already talk about that? Oh? Okay, well should
you explain?

Speaker 1 (07:03):
No, we're gonna watch on Plane this weekend.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
I need to look to see what's available, but it
will probably be Mama Mia because that's my plane movie,
or Crazy Rich Asians. Those are like my two.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
You don't watch anything.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Guaranteed plane movies. If there's nothing new that I want.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
To watch, you know what, let's look right now. Let
me let me scoot over the researcher down here. What
to watch United? What to watch right now? In flight entertainment,
we're gonna pick a movie for more to watch all right?
Right now?

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Different for every flight.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Well, I mean generally this is what expected. All right.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
The WiFi is now, I don't even know what new
things are out.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Well, new to flights is what it is. You guys
think like December January movies might be on there.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
What even came out?

Speaker 1 (07:45):
What's what we're about to find out? So you'll see, Okay,
we're gonna go here, we're gonna mot that. So it
doesn't do that. You can watch Sonic the Hedgehog. You
can watch Greece. Oh, the mofassa movie. You could watch that.
Let's see, probably should have done that. We already saw Mufasa,

(08:06):
thank you, No, but we saw that it was in
the trailer for United, So that's okay. Long, you can
watch what is that Fire and the Hate you give?
You can watch a complete unknown. Oh, you can watch Wicked.
That could be your new flight movie.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
I've seen Wicked so many times.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Yeah, but then you're literally defying gravity because you're on plane. Yeah.
Then you can rate late to Alphaba. Or you can
watch that monkey movie.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Oh no, I don't want to watch that.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Okay, all right, well that's what More has been doing.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Wait a, you're gonna explain why?

Speaker 1 (08:36):
No, No, that's it. That's on Monday. We talked about
that on Monday. This is what you're doing, not what
you are. You planning to do. It's what you're doing or.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Did Wait so you said Kevin's second traffic. Yes, oh
so it is your backup.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
You're just my filler for what you're doing. That's it.
And guess what yah done? So you manly?

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Nothing else new?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
No, that's it for you. I mean it's your segment
right there. Now it's my turn.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Okay, well buy everyone. I hope you enjoyed hearing from me.
I'll have to come on another time to talk about Disney.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
One of these days, of these after the Disney trips,
not before, okay, not before.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
I have plans for a long time. You know, I
have plans for you.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
I don't know what that means.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
That's all I got plans. Okay, you think you know
about this Disney trip? What is that? Just you be ready?
All right? Now? You may well buy everyone. Daddle over there.
They're you, all right, and that's more. They are more
and you can take it and make boody over there too, Itch,

(09:39):
make boody. But yeah, besides Indiana Jones, that's been great
to be dabbling that. I have been watching Black Mer
season seven. That first episode is a tear jerker. My god,
if you were in a relationship in any form. Yeah,
don't watch that episode because you're gonna be real sad.
Or if you're dealing with anything with healthcare right now, Yeah,
it's just real sad overall. Oh mare, you are watching

(10:03):
The Crown? Do you like The Crown so far? Are
you just watching it to watch it?

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (10:08):
I can come back. No, so at first doing anything else,
let's get of walk Teddy. At first, I wasn't sure
about The Crown because it didn't seem like super exciting.
But I don't know. I like it now. It's grown
on me. Were we talk to me in the second season?
Almost done? I think we only have like one more episode?

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Maybe so we finished? Oh no, we got one more?
We got one? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Watch, Yeah, pretty good. I think i'd recommend it. I mean,
we're definitely laid to the game because I think the
last season came out.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Like two years ago, years ago, several twenty three, one
hundred years ago.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
So yeah, it feels like forever ago. But no, I
mean i'd recommend it.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Excited.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
We definitely wanted something to watch that had like a
lot of seasons, a lot of episodes, because we got tired.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Of like been watching everything in a weekend.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah. Well, we also have a lot of shows that
were watching like weekly, Like we're watching like abb and Elementary.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
And we're watching Ghosts.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
We were watching White Lotus. So I just feel like
we had a lot of that and now we just
needed like another.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Show rehearsal comes out this weekend. Excited for that.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Oh, I forgot about that.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Watch Monday. Monday. The first season was.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
A little weird, but yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Mean yeah, then we watched Nathan for You after we.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Watched That's a good if you have not seen Nathan
for You, very good.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Okay, that's okay, bye, all right, bye bye. Maybe watch
make you watch Durrassic Oh, we actually know, come back,
come back there clawing own is be prepared because because
of this podcast and because we're going somewhere special in June,
we have to rewatch and for you technically watch all
of them for the first time, all the Fantastic Beast movies.

(11:48):
Oh no, no, no, you didn't watch all of them.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
I've seen the first one. There's three.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
Two, there's three Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Okay, so seen the first two. The third one was
really boring, so we stopped watching it. And you also
said you didn't want to read them. Yeah, I've seen.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Well, guess what we have to now? So get ready?
You're ready. Oh I'm so sorry. You have to learn.
You have to be in a magical world, whimsied the way.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
I feel like you don't really need.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
To know you do. Actually, okay, trust me, I've seen
the videos. You haven't.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Well, you're already spoiling yourself.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Oh yeah, I got prepared for you to have a
good time. Me I take the hit, so everyone else
around me count a good time?

Speaker 2 (12:25):
What don't I do it?

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yeah? I don't trust you. The team park all right, now,
get you're good, okay, all right, hopefully that delay Kevin,
give Kevin enough time to get here. Okay, okay, all right.
But then, uh yeah, it's pretty much we watched it
have a good time, and because it was Wrestlmingia, obviously
we did our prestmning predictions on Monday, so go check
that out because that was that was some good times.

(12:46):
And uh, we have some theories on what's gonna happen
this weekend on Saturday Sunday, but uh we'll find out
Monday when we do a breakdown slash recap of where
more and I going this weekend, but Kevin's not here still,
so we're gonna switch on over to news. We might
come back a little bit, but it is time for
the news. First things first, hard Thanks, we have to

(13:09):
talk about the Last of Us Season two episode one,
which the best thing is Kevin doesn't watch The Last
of Us because he's little, he's a little scored. He's
just scared of what goes down on that show and
doesn't just a little. I think it was a little
burned by Walking Dead that he doesn't watch another zombie
infected type show. But A Man season two episode good.

(13:33):
The goods are there. The basis is there. The chemistry
between Ali and Dina Isabella marcatd Man. She's gonna go
places after this year, really because she's Dina in Last
of Us right now, but she's also gonna be hawk
Girl in Superman which comes out in two months, and
she was an alien Romulus last year, so like she's
slowly getting the company she wasn't. We don't talk about

(13:56):
Madam Webb, but it's okay, but I easy highlight edition
of a character. Obviously, Catherine O'Hare in there as well,
but pretty much season two for the first two minutes,
picking up immediately after season one, where Joel spoilers for
the game in the movie for right now for the

(14:16):
first game, at least no spoils for a second game
because I haven't played it. Joel tell lies to Ellie,
telling him, you know, he that when they got to
where the Firefly's hospital was, where they were going to
find the cure based on Ellie being immune, he told her,
you know, oh, they had a I think in the
game they told him that. He told her they had
a bunch of kids. They need you. But I think

(14:36):
in the show, if I remember, the recaptadn't do too
well on HBO Max. They Joel said, oh, apparently raiders
had gotten there and they had killed everybody, so I
had to get you out there. So a little bit
to more of a degree of the truth that everyone died,
but he didn't really let her know that he killed everyone.
He was the raider actually. But we get immediately after

(14:58):
effect of that of Joel doubling down on you know,
it's truth, like she's Elie as you know, swear to
me and oh, we lost the podcast, and that's okay,
we're gonna record. We'll be back on the stream. Eventually
we will, We'll get there. It's okay, you know, we're
we're we're striving and we're trying to thrive, and that's okay.
The stream went down and try to get back there. Sorry, Twitch,

(15:20):
We're trying our best. We will be back when we
be back. But essentially Joel saying, you know, yeah, I
swear you swear to me. He did. And then we
get a little bit of like maybe like a two
week flash forward a little bit to a degree, where
we find out that Joel or sorry that Abby uh

(15:42):
in this case, and her group of survivors have found
out who they're looking after. It's Joel. Our boy Danny
Ramires is in there, which is great. He's the new
Falcon from Captain America and uh, Brave New World. There
we go, uh and for some reason Twitch is not
working for some reason, and we're going to try to
figure that out. I am sorry, Twitch, it tried. I'm

(16:04):
really trying here. But Kevin and I have two keys
to the Twitch stream, and I know I'm a little
a little off the rails. Is what happens with Kevin's
not here to steer the ship a little bit? Can
you think I steer a ship. It's really Kevin Stream
isn't going, So that's okay. We're just gonna keep on going,
keep on recording. But we find out Abby is hunting
for Joel, and we get a five years later and

(16:28):
it is Joel Ellie. They're hanging out in Jackson and
it is pretty cool. Joel is kind of the construction
manager or foreman for the entire town. Ellie being a
rebellious team. She's nineteen ish in this is kind of
a rebellious team. We find out her and Joel's relationship

(16:48):
is very damaged. We don't know why, but we will
find out, or well, we don't know why, we will
find out and we'll deal with some ramifications after that.
We find out Dina, who is Ally's best friend, also
is very close to Joel, which is dope. Just to
see Pedro Pascal just killing it in that fatherly role.
And we see also that the town's kind of flourishing.

(17:12):
They're taking in refugees. Joel kind of beginning this episode,
which I think will be a theme thing. Can we
trust taking in all these refugees. We got to get
our house in order before we can invite others to
the house. I think that's a little for shattering of
what's going to go down. But you know, Ellie and
Dina do go on a mission. We do see, you know,
kind of the classic callbacks of you know, using bottles

(17:35):
to distract the clickers. We see the actual appearance of
a stalker, which is one of the scariest villains in
the first game and second game. I haven't played second
game so I can tell you, but to see that
creepiness slash kind of annoyance of like, I know you're
in this room, but show yourself something, get things going,
and then we go from theres essentially. But I know

(17:58):
this episode is really good. It really I think the
Dina and Ellie chemistry was really good. I know that's
really based in the games as well. And you know
Ellie does get bit by a stalker but survives because
he's immune. We know that, but she hasn't told anyone
besides Joel and h I think, like immediately immediate family
there as well. And I think it's gonna be a

(18:19):
cool reveal that Dina Ellie relationship is going to be
a bigger central point. If you haven't seen played the
game at all of this season, compared to compared to
the Joel and Elli relationship last season. For reasons, listens
last listen to Monday's episode you'll a lot. But yeah,
it was really cool. The dance scene from this episode
was straight out of the game too, And really love

(18:41):
the imagery there. Just love the like the lights and
it's like, oh man, that's what like a barn hoedown
should look like. You know, you've thrown it for the community.
You have a good time, and we find out that
the the fun guy in the mushroom, the fungus whatever
I forget what it's called technically, is cp into Jackson.
And right when the end of the episode happens, also

(19:03):
we see the abbey and enter her crew have arrived
and see Jackson the distance. So trouble is brewing and
the season gonna be rough. If you play the game,
you know it's gonna be rough. And if you're trying
to look for the game now, if you bought part
or one originally when the first season came out, Part
two isn't on sale, so we're gonna unfortunately pay for
it full costs, or you can now buy if you

(19:23):
haven't bought are of the games, the complete edition, which
is both of them for one hundred dollars, so you
save like five bucks, I guess buying it that way.
But overall return to for him, I'm excited and I
think it is funny get to have you know, White
Lotus was the big show for Max in the past
eight weeks, past quarter or whatever. Last of Us will

(19:44):
be that show now and is funny how White Lotus
is very kind of build tension, build suspense, and the
Last of Us will be Here's the action, here's the tension,
here's all the stress all in one going like, oh,
please stop stop, can't we please stop? And then you
calm down when you get to the end of the
season and find out season three is probably two years

(20:06):
away or something like that. But overall great. If you
need a binge watch it, definitely binge watch it this weekend,
Easter weekend. It's a perfect time to watch it if
you're wait watch, looking to watch something for before WrestleMania
goes down. But talking about kind of scary things, let's see, Okay,
that's is it gonna work?

Speaker 3 (20:26):
No?

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Is it gonna work? Let's see here we were checking
the twitch. Okay, okay, we're gonna try that again. No, okay,
all right, Well Twitch is just down. Sorry, Twitch just
wasn't our episode until it comes back. But we're gonna
talk about sinners. This is the new movie from Ryan Coogler,

(20:51):
Michael B. Jordan's Sarzan as well myself and mister Eric
V actually got to see it and luck of the draw.
Look look what dirty ass goes showed up right now.
So I'm gonna try to get this going. See what
happens here? All right, So we're gonna go right here.
Boop boop boop. Hold on, Hold, hold and up for it.

(21:13):
Hold because my camera's hold hold. Hold, We see Kevin now,
so that's nice at least not hella every about it.
Oh gosh, where it go? Hold? Hold? Well, that's not good.
It's definitely not good. Let's try that again. Oh come on, baby, Kevin.

(21:37):
I'm gonna need you to start the twitch stream, by
the way, because for some reason Twitch went down and
I have no idea why. So that's okay, all right,
we're gonna do that, all right, that's okay. Now that's
the fun part is you see Kevin, you don't see Hoodie,
and you're wondering why why is this happening. I don't
know why.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
I don't know. I can try again on my side.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
No, there we go, all right, we're back, there we go.
All right, So Kevin just talking about Last of Us.
We'll talk about Sinners. Then we'll get to you if
that's okay, just because on the show we're rolling, so
that way you can also get accustomed to everything that's
going on. But literally just started perfect timing Sinners. It's
coming out in theaters this weekend. Very funny, this movie

(22:21):
called Sinners coming out this weekend. He's the weekend, but
it is what it is. But Michael B. Jordan as
best Delroy Lindo also at his best. That's probably the
most the most I've enjoyed Delroy Lindo in any movie.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
I love Delroy Lindo. When I was a kid, I
used to think he was like, oh no, Samuel Jacksons
busy called Delork Lindo.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
He's a really, really competent actor.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Yeah, and he kills it in that, and I think
the whole cast kills it in the movie. I think
before sort of not spoilers, but non spoiler spoilers. I'd
give it an eight and a half out of ten.
I do think it will spoilers. I guess non spoiler plot.
It is about two twin brothers smoking stack. They're gangsters

(23:06):
that went to Chicago. They come back to Mississippi. They're
trying to throw a party at their own club that
they've kind of stolen some money from the gangsters they
used to work for. They invite everybody from the community.
Their younger cousin, Preacher Boy, they invite to play to
play music for him on a guitar. He gets invited
and all of a sudden, vampires show up Kevin, and

(23:27):
chaos ensues. I will say, yes, there are vampires. So
if you don't like vampires, it is and I think
I gave it eight point five is it doesn't like
reinvent the Wheel for vampires, but it is a good
like Oh yeah, I get what's going on because I
know vampire tropes to a degree. But I think acting
is at best while that's going on. This movie is

(23:48):
also about music and like blues and like the modernization
of music and all that good stuff, because Ryan Coogler
is best and who the music in this movie. Kevin,
it is Chef's Kiss.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun, Like
it kind of looks like my Rennie's Black Bottom with vampires.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
You could say that, you really could, You really could
say that, you know, smapped out Michael B. Jordan instead
of Chadwick.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
It.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Uh, it's really good. I think the cast worked very well.
Preacher Boy, who I guess is the second actor after
Michael Jordan. Hailey Steinfeld did it too, uh, which is
why I had more talk about Hailey Steinfeld being in
Dickinson because I'm like, well, now you can watch watch
this movie too, because you're a Hailey Steinfeld fan. I
think this is like his first big role. So Preacher

(24:38):
the actor who plays Preacher Boy is definitely gonna go
to the distance because he, like he showed off in
this movie for sure.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Good.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
I feel like Michael consisted to have a habit of
launching names to the tradisphere.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
Yeah, I mean, Michael Jordan was a name, but I
think it wasn't like black Panther, like, oh that's Michael B. Jordan.
You know, I agree too, I guess.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
Yeah, yeah, because I feel I feel like Michael like
he was on a wire. He's on he was on
what was a football show on CBS, not far.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
He believes with the other one Friday Night Lights.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
No, yeah, he's on that.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
Okay, sure, I guess in the.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Parenthood but he did. But then he did Black Panther
and the one before Black Panther and.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Fruit Veil Station that's yeah, and Fantastic four. We won't
talking about that. It's a blight. He was just getting in.
He had to get a super wo Yeah, but there
is there's two scenes that involve music in this movie
that are like, cool, that's what you pay for admission
into this movie. And vampires are creepy. It is very like, uh,

(25:42):
a very real, honest look at vampires too, of like,
we're not playing dumb when it comes to the vampires
after like the first ten seconds. And it does set
up a potential of maybe a universe depending on how
well it does. If they want to.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Interesting, Ryan Coogler, it's gonna universe.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
It could happen. It could be cool and ultimately just
I think depends on how the box office is for
this movie. But and as of right now, it's tracking
for forty million this weekend, which could be the first
movie since get Out to be the first original film
to score over to win an opening Box Weekend. Wow,

(26:23):
it's not IP based, just an original film that doesn't
have any like oh, it's based on that and that
and that, like minecraft, not original, it's based on Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
But I what can you say?

Speaker 1 (26:34):
What can you say? What can you say? But go
see it? Eight point five out of ten? And I
think it's well worth the price of admission. But Kevin,
we're going back to what you're doing because it's a
birthday as of this podcast recording. When it goes live,
it's Kevin's birthday eve now, but it will be his
birthday when it's posted. Happy birthday first and foremost? And
are you ready for what I've prepared for you?

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Oh? What are we doing?

Speaker 1 (26:57):
All right?

Speaker 3 (26:58):
So are you ready?

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Are you ready? I could say, just start there. This
is Kevin's birthday broken down here April seventeenth, Kevin, which
is your birthday as his podcast according to the sixteenth,
So you will get there when you get there on
the internet is being the internet here, Kevin? Did you know?

(27:25):
And I can't see you, but that's okay. April seventeenth
is bat Appreciation Day. This is where we hold for
applause from Kevin and we see what he has to say,
and what man bat? Normal bat animal?

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Then ok yeah, interesting, my sister loves best actually she
loves bat.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Well, you can be all the bat you want. Maybe okay,
well maybe okay, maybe it's her birthday. April seventeenth also
was when the Bay of Pigs invasion started, Kevin, so
you get to celebrate that every year on your birthday.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
That was the one with like Latin America, right, I believe.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
That was the one with Cuba Kevin in nineteen sixty
that right, yeah, Cuban missile crisis also based on that.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
Actually a bless bless from the past Brendan Fraser based
on that whole thing.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
April seventeenth is Daffy Duck's birthday, apparently in cartoons. If
you're excited about that, Daffy Ducks poor.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Daf all to get a chef man him and Donald
he need need to support group.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
It is Haiku Poetry Day also on April seventeen, So
every day every year you should say, uh, it's my birthday,
or now give me a haiku dammit.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
I should rush off and go to chu. Part the
game is actually making.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
Hakus, and then there is oh, actually, Kevin, you might
like this famous birthday for you on your birthday, rowdy
Roddy Piper same birthday as you, baby awesome, So that
is the rowdy one. You get that. You have Victoria Beckham,
so you get posh spiced. You're very posh spice.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
It's funny. She's so famous just being heard now, I
forget she was in a Spicer girls mane.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
That is true. And you an Electra aka Jennifer Gardner,
share birthday too as well, So there you go.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
No, I feel like we will be good friends.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
That is true.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
And when she was in thirteen going on thirty, you
definitely you could definitely relate to that movie because that
was you too. Also the same birthday as Jennifer Garner. Yeah,
and I feel like that sometimes too. I'm like, oh,
was just thirteen. Now I've got two kids in the mortgage,
what's happening in the world? And Kevin on your birthday?
Popular movies and songs that came out on your birthday, Well,

(29:35):
this will be fun. Project X was released in theaters,
popularized the Day and Night remix. We all like to
hear the party movie? Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Paul Blart
Mall Cop two came out in twenty fifteen on your birthday.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
I never saw two. Actually I watched one a lot,
I never saw two.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
I don't think you're missing that much. Silk Sonic aka
Bruno Mars Anderson pack or at least leave the door open.
Great song which Kevin and Alicia. Yeah, yep, I'm gonna
go in there. And then Kevin fourteen years ago, so
when you were younger. Let's see how younger. Gamer Thrones

(30:18):
premiered on HBO on your birthday. So it's a little
fun fact for you, Kevin, Kevin, I don't hear you.
That's okay.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
Maybe maybe if I turn my camera off, maybe the
bandwidth will be better. We'll try that. Let's just see
what happens. Let's go a little bit and see what happens.
See if it if it shorts up. But yeah, it
was funny because my wife is like, well we got
we gotta watch wrestle media at church.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
I was like, we mean we this is about me.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
So Kevin, I'm actually gonna let you roll solo because
I'm gonna figure out this Internet. It's you real quick.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
If that's okay, that is fine, My camera back on
here and I believe I have anything set up.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
So ye want you to drop out, It'll just be me.
I'll go to you perfect.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
You have the floor. You can talk about Daredevil as
much as you want, because I've hid everything else up
until Daredevil, and Harry PotterCast if you want to.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
Awesome, So Hoodey would be back soon maybe, but if.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Not, ohfully got me now the handoff, Dad's giving it
to other Dad and that's okay.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
By hood He love you fine, and.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
Honey said, we can talk a little bit abou Daredevil
right now. First off, I feel that this entire season
of Daredevil was a pretty good success for Marvel.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
A lot of their shows are a little hit and
myths on Disney Plus like, they're not overwhelmingly love is
like some love, some hate, some hate, some love, except
for Secret Invasion, which is just like terrible.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
It was just not a good series. But Daredevil as.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
A whole, I think was a great restart to Marvel's
television cinematic universe. Episode one without out the after Mattha
of Foggy get assassinated with Karen running away, Episode two
being kind of like the first episode that they shot originally,
but I feel like the way they kind of brought

(32:24):
together all of what was previously shot to what they
added was really really good.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
I'm all in all for this series. What is that?
Why is that gone?

Speaker 4 (32:33):
Oh no, because Hoody added the thing. All right, this
is a hard way. Let's give her this, give it that.
Here the thing and the other thing. This is video
capture today. Let's just see hello, g I.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Okay, okay, and I'm back.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
But yeah, I feel like the way they merged two
different two different I guess ideas of what Dar Devil
should have been was done pretty good. All in all,
I would give this season probably an eight out of
ten for me, but I'm a big Dar Devil fan.
I know a lot of people are saying it reached

(33:22):
the final couple episodes, reached what the Netflix series was,
and I kind of questioned that because I remember, well
the next Floric series was out, people always kind of
poop pooed it, and I don't remember them praising as
much as they are now.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
I think kind of Regency Bidas. But whatever.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
All in all, like I said that the series was
great for the finale last night, the way I was
happy Marvel things finally happened, but like that once I
don't like my spoiler thing here, but once Kingpin pretty.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
Much, Oh, I do have spoiler on here. I look
at that and boom, it's on. Hold on, put up here,
actually see it.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
Nope, that's real here spoiler warning, spoiler warning, where are you?

Speaker 3 (34:11):
Spoiler warning? There we go. Once Kingpin actually hit the
switch and turned all the lights off in New York,
I was like, yes, smatal things are happening. Here we go.
This is kind of cool. I like that.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
I'm still am not sure about Matt's girlfriend, Heather, I
think trying to break it off of her because she
was She was literally just like I came with you
right now because of the drugs, so you don't know
what you're talking about.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
I'm like, listen to this man.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
He's usually always right, so that they're never getting out
of there before they had a chance to kill him.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
It was pretty cool. I know.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
One of the questions of how to get back to
his apartment in the nightgown, but it's it's comic books.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
It's whatever he did it. It's fine. Him walking into.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
His apartment to find the punsher waiting for him was
just aw and that relationship is something that I hope
they continue to build upon because it's funny. They almost
fight like a married couple. It's really really funny. And
even I love the part too with Punisher kind of
having an understanding of what Dared Devil's abilities are. He

(35:15):
just asked me, hey, you clock those people outside waiting
for you in the van and all a bunch of
stuff in it because he knows he can hear it
and he can basically see them in his own way
out there. I thought that was pretty cool. And then
once Matt suits up and the battle begins between the
corrupt cops and the real Punisher, man man, man man,
I almost wish Jaredvile just let him kill and let

(35:37):
him kill everybody, because once the Punisher starts doing that
guttural roar scream, you know it's all over. It's all over.
One of the bad guys, John Burnthon's going. It's amazing, amazing, amazing,
amazing storytelling. And then even the fight with Matt, Matt
was doing his thing too, and they take all the
guys out and that cold guys and one guy left,

(35:59):
and then Punishers, being the devil on the devil should up,
which is crazy telling them go ahead and kill him.
Go ahead to me, he's a nerd to live, and
Matt resists. They start fighting again, but they they fight
long enough justin to realize that he chave ech other's
life because Max says grenade and they jump out and Matt.
Him and Matt swing down to the ground together. But

(36:19):
I thought it was funny too, because people arguable whether
should kill that guy or not. He died anyway because
they threw Canada the Mats apartment and everybody's dead now
that was up there, so I thought that was really cool.
Kingpin continue to consolidate power inside the New York City
government is amazing.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
I do.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
And this is because I worked for a news station.
I kind of have more of under saying how government
actually works locally. Now, this would no way fly because
eventually the governor would have sent the National Guard down
and that had been it.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
But I don't care. I was drunk.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
That Kingpin thinks he is when the federal government says stop,
you have to stop, but that regards that regardless. Seem
Conciliday power. Seeing the commissioner and his chief of STAFFAC
has her name, she is Sheila. You think you're going
to start an alliance, and none of them started alliance
because she basically knew that either I couldn't tell either

(37:15):
if he had the he has the entire city hall bugged,
or if she just had her phone on recording and
send it to him. But she knew that she cannot
trust this man and cross this man and expect to
leave with her life. And you can see the decision
on her face kind of just like break her heart,
but she doesn't want to die, and I understand that.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
It was awesome.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
And then seeing baby soprano guy go to the city council,
I'm like, I'm here to get reactions. Who doesn't like
the mayor's plan? And if you don't like the plan
he made, get rid of you. I'm like, this sounds
so familiar to what's going on in the world right now,
but I won't I won't digress. But it definitely was
on purpose. The the the the Kingpin and rise to

(37:59):
power what's going on in our own actual war of
politics was definitely a thing they did on purpose, and
it was just really cool to see all that. But
also I was happy in this episode made me hate
Kingpin again because I was beginning to like the guy
and was rooting for the guy. But then we see
after the commissioner says he's gonna go to the state
government and tell them what's going on, and his not

(38:22):
usual driver. And that's another thing about these kind of movies.
If you're getting picked up and you see it's not
to your regular driver, like get in the car, it's like, no,
what I'm gonna I'm getting ober, I'm gonna get a lift.
I'm not gonna worry about what you're gonna do to
me if I get in this car and I don't
know who you are, but it's not normal job picks
them up. It takes them to a very basically a

(38:46):
quick cleanup of a crime scene because he has taken
to the kingpin, and the kingpin just crushes his head
and one of the most brutal things I've never I
never thought i'd see on Disney Plus TV.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
And he gets killed. The commissioner on the police like
he's dead.

Speaker 4 (39:03):
That guy's dead, he's gone, He's gone, and it's such
an amazing choice to do that, honestly.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
In front of so many people.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
And the thing about it too is when he killed him,
it looks like maybe. Buck was like, what are we
doing here? Buck is like he's being clean. A guy
was like, what are we doing here? I'm not sure
about this. And while this is happening, he set his
vigil anti tag Force Tak was out on the street.
Some guy, some some poor kid looting, gets caught up

(39:32):
trying to steal I think.

Speaker 3 (39:33):
It was like a TV or something like that.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
I can't remember what it was, or maybe a little
gaming system and gets popped in the chest twice and
the guy, the other guy got like, what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Man?

Speaker 3 (39:44):
He was just a kid.

Speaker 4 (39:45):
And the dude pulls his masks when they know he's
message took his mask.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
I was like, oh, my gosh.

Speaker 4 (39:49):
This this is the kind of corruption. The Kingpins breaths,
Oh that happens, and then we see the Punisher back
in his I guess punisher cave listening to the radios
of the other punisher corrupt cops and you know where
they're going to be. So he goes to meet up
with them, and they think that he's going to be

(40:10):
on their side, and he starts taking them all out
and it's amazing. Unfortunately, he was overwhelmed and caused at
the end of it, and that one real slimmy guy
I don't like. I thought he was gonna get killed
by the Punisher. This he sees maybe next season hopefully
or doing a Punisher special. Catches a Maximu and joined
his cause, and he basically, spinning his face, said I'm
not joining your cause.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
You guys are well.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
I won't say the word he called him on our podcast,
but he basically tag taps out and not doing it.
They decide to take him into Wilson Fisks. I guess
political prisoner custody. Before I get to that was another
scene where Matt and Foggy figure out that the port

(40:51):
that they're working on is basically a port that's not
owned by the United States, so they can kind of
do whatever they want on there, which is a pretty
pretty interesting side plot to call to close the little
why he was so concerned with this port during the
earlier part of the series. But we Karen tells Matt
basically before they go into where Frank's main hostage and

(41:13):
a bunch of people being the hostage, that you can't
do this by yourself. You gon't go in there either
kill You're going to die. So that's when find smart, smart,
a smart thing that man does. He says, okay, I
will wait for my moment. So he taps out and
goes back to the barbar we saw I think two
episodes ago, and starts to build his team of who's
going to take down help him take down Fisk, and

(41:35):
we get a really cool scene of the Devil of Health,
the Devil of Health kitchen being back in full effect
with a red splashing on him.

Speaker 3 (41:42):
And we also.

Speaker 4 (41:43):
Against see a bunch of political prisoners, a bunch of
the people that we saw at the party earlier earlier
this season that wouldn't that would wouldn't donate to this cause.
We see the Swordsman, and then finally we see the Punisher,
who is the other people are just in the cage
in the cell free. He strapped up with his hands
and they didn't know what he can do. And that's
the end of the season. So we're basically can sell up.

Speaker 3 (42:05):
For season two.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
Now.

Speaker 4 (42:06):
I know some people are like, you know, what was
this whole season set up for season two? Probably that sucks,
but I mean you're gonna watch it, so I don't
know what the complaint really is about it. I mean,
it was still a fun ride to go on. Also, yes,
and we got a cut end credit scene of the
Punisher and this get this poor guy, uh he gets
talking to the Punisher. He's probably not another Meyer. Frankcastle

(42:29):
maybe doesn't know what was going on before all this.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
I'm talking.

Speaker 4 (42:32):
He's talking, Hey man, you from Jersey. That's cool man.
I's gonna shake your hands and thanks for talking to me.
As soon as he touches Frank's hand, he breaks his
wrists and breaks his arm, and I'm assuming after that
he gets the key off and that maybe will be
the genesis of the Punisher Special of him.

Speaker 3 (42:47):
I'm kind of hoping it's a what was the name
of that movie? He was a heat action movie with
levels something you want. The movie is called.

Speaker 4 (43:10):
But there's a movie that there's a really fun action
movie where the whole plot is the whole plot is
basically these people trying to get out of this office
building and that really can fight through levels of levels
of enemies on each level.

Speaker 3 (43:28):
So I'm thinking that may be.

Speaker 4 (43:32):
And the genesis of the Punish the Punishers, the Punisher Special,
it's him literally trying to get get out of this
this area and get out of the fist holding Area
back to where he needs to be to either help
Matt in season two or just do whatever the punis
or else needs to do, because I really do hope
that going forward, the Punisher special in season two door that,

(43:53):
whether not the last time we see punishing, the Punisher
should be a mainstay I hope in MCU going forward.
But yeah, that was season the season of first season
of gedital Born Again. I thought it was great. I really,
I really didn't think it was great. Honey's not here,
but I'm going to pull up our MCU and review
real quick and see where would this go. I don't

(44:14):
remember my log into this, so I can't actually put
it on here. But right now I believe the highest
ranked series we have here so far is one division.
Let's see Podcast Star Wars MCW here we go, and

(44:34):
one division right now is ranked at seventeen. I would
put this right now at twenty one, and this would
be right actually know what I'll think, I'll say twenty
So this would be right behind Captain America Brave New World,
and right in front of Surpridor to Demand Far from
Home and Act all along. So this is better, I

(44:57):
believe than the Falcon and Winter Soldier. I enjoyed it
more than act all along as well. I still don't
put it in front of WandaVision just because the one
of the whole Wan Division thing was the scene. Because
of the pandemic, we didn't have anything to want else
to watch and this thing was just blowing our mind
every Friday night, you know what I mean. So I
still wouldn't put up on one division for that reason.

(45:17):
But it's darn close to it. It's really darn close
to it. And maybe when Hoodie gets back on Monday's
episode we can talk about it before we talk about why,
talk about WrestleMania results and try to figure out where
this would be because this is it.

Speaker 3 (45:32):
Maybe not be top tier Marvel, but it's pretty close
the bone.

Speaker 4 (45:35):
The bones are there. This is something that I could.
I cannot wait for next season to start. So Daredevil
born again, great job, ran on applause for the world,
for the writers, for the actors, and I can't wait
to see you guys do it again next year.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
But yes, tomorrow, it's my birthday.

Speaker 4 (45:53):
So any birthday, much as you want to send me
at three KK on Instagram and Twitter, I'm not gonna
be weird to give you my Venmo and cash have.
I feel we're backing for money. I have a job,
so I'm good. What was gonna be better come me off?
But I'm good on that part. And also, like I said,
it's WrestleMania weekend, so Teamy yeat uh Team American Nightmare,

(46:19):
hope you bringing home. I'm really excited for this WrestleMania.
I'm gonna have been wresting because resumes a fun time
of year to just kind of just kind of escaping
to the to the fake world of wrestling. It's just
it's a fun time. But thank you for you guys
for joining us. And you've been listening to this Daredevil
Field solo half episode of Crisis on Infinite Podcasts.

Speaker 3 (46:44):
