a jet plane. Feel free to call in at numbers
five six nine zero zero nine eighty five six nine
zero zero nine eighty. But with that being said, we're
headed straight to the wild Wild West where the Western
Conference playoffs all come down. That picture all comes down
(01:01):
to today. With no games starting later than three point thirty,
we will get a clear picture on what's at stake
and who lands here. Now, your ten teams in both
the East and West are set. You have ten teams
Eastern Conference completely set. We know we got the Nixon Pistons,
(01:24):
we know we got the Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Now we don't know who's gonna win those playing games
just yet. But then we head over to the Western
Conference and you have the top three seeds. The Oklahoma
City Thunder locked into the number one seed, the Houston Rockets,
(01:47):
young up and coming explosive team locked into the number
two seed. In your La Lakers, the Luca Lakers locked
into number three seed. Now, the only thing set in
(02:07):
that spot other than those top three are the fact
that the Memphis Grizzlies, the Sacramento Kings in the Dallas
Mavericks are all guaranteed in the playoff in the play
in games. Just don't know what those seeds are. Now.
(02:31):
If you take a look, it's gonna get it's gonna
get dizzy in here. So feel free to follow me
as closely as possible. What is left to be decided.
Let's start with the easiest thing, Denver Nuggets. If they win,
they're the number four seed. It's as simple as that.
When you got home part advantage in the first round,
(02:54):
you're the number four seed and with the Houston Lockett
the Houston Locketts, yeah, they're locked into that second seed.
So the Houston locked the second seed hosting this Denver
Nuggets team. Let's see how much the Rockets have to
play for in what they ultimately do Dallas in Memphis. Now,
(03:20):
this isn't the most important game, but in terms of
meaningful matchups between two teams, I would say this is
the second most important game. And the reason I say
that is because the Dallas Mavericks, like I said, they're
locked into a play in but with a win in
(03:41):
a sacramental loss, Dallas will be the number nine seed
and host the Sacramento Kings for a play in spot
to ultimately that winner will play the winner of the
seven or the loser of the seven eight seed. So
that is important to Dallas to be able to host Sacramento.
(04:04):
And then for the Memphis Grizzlies, they're stuck into playing
but are they the seventh seed or the eighth seed?
So basically it comes down to this, They're either going
to travel to the Golden State Warriors or they will
play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Those are the only
(04:25):
two options there, which brings us to the most important game,
Game number eighty two for Finals MVP, in one of
the first unanimous MVPs, the Golden State Warriors and Stephen
(04:50):
Curry Game number eighty two hosting the La Cliff Clippers. Wow,
really hard time talking today. What is on stake here? Now?
The Warriors, we would have avoided all of this if
(05:13):
not for San Antonio deciding they don't care how high
their lottery chances are and Harrison Barnes hitting a game
winning three at the buzzer against the Warriors. That's former
Warrior Harrison Barnes hitting the game winning three against the Warriors.
(05:35):
So the Warriors got to be kicking themselves that they're
even in this position. But heading into this final day
hosting the Clippers, if they win, they are guaranteed a
top six spot. Now there is some confusion here, but
(05:59):
if the Warriors and in Minnesota Timberwolves win, the Wolves
would finish fifth and the Warriors would finish sixth, and
the Clippers would drop into the play in. Golden State
holds the tiebreaker over Memphis, so ultimately they cannot finish
(06:22):
lower than seven. So though I lied when it comes
to what's going on with Memphis. Like I said, they're
more than likely either traveling to Golden State or hosting
the Minnesota Timberwolves. But there is a world in which
the Clippers could potentially post the Memphis Grizzlies. So there
(06:47):
is a lot at stake. So I highlighted some of
the games to look into. You got Denver at Houston,
Dallas at Memphis, Utah at Minnesota, Phoenix at Sacramento, and
then the highlight of the day today will be the
LA Clippers in Golden State Warriors Big Day, Wild Wild West.
(07:16):
We will have a clear picture by seven o'clock tonight
on what the matchups are and who will be hosting
the nine to ten game and what the seventh eighth
seed will look up. This is Fox Sports Weekends at noon,
coming up in a couple of minutes. Wanted to finish
off strong with something fun on Sunday Funday, but remember
(07:40):
that phone line is still open. Five eight six nine
zero zero nine eighty five eight six nine zero zero
nine eighty coming up in a couple of minutes. I
couldn't sleep last night. All I kept thinking about was
imaginary weapons I can use for next time. I step
on the court. We'll discuss it next
