on the Western Michigan Broncos. They have just had the

coin toss. The Badgers have won it, they have deferred it,
so Western Michigan will touch it first. And before we start,
let us get to our Keys to the Game, presented

year we just didn't see enough of it, And that
obviously was something that Luke Fickele and his staff decided.
You go out in the portal, bring some more talent
in and getting pressure with four, it just allows you

tonight that I think if Wisconsin's gonna have a lot
of success, it's going to be getting after the quarterback
with their down guys.

and many others on the staff during training camp had

into that a little bit as we check in with

Yeah, the genesis for that team modo dates back to
last season when the team would say they didn't meet expectations.
It's reflective of an attitude that some thought was missing.
Never settle, keep striving to be better. As Fickle put it,
the Badgers need that hunting mentality even in their own team,
challenging the guy in front of you on the depth
chart to.

That competition has resulted in a deeper roster of players
that they could depend on.

Listed as starters, but Fickel has repeatedly said he needs
sixty five guys to play this year and be counted on.
Tonight is Wisconsin's first chance to take that mentality outside
the program. We'll see if they could be the aggressor
and go hunting against Western Michigan.

All right, Badgers kicking north to south, left to right
as we view it. Gavin lomb will handle the kickoff
duties thirty two times he had kickoffs last year, twelve
for touchbacks. Jaden Nixon, transferred from Oklahoma State, is the
deep man as the Broncos will travel south to north,
right to left as we view it at quarter number one,
Badgers in the home cardinal uniforms and the white trim.

And here we go it the excitement here, I think
for everything, but I was always at special teams turnovers.
One of the things that you look for right out
of the gate. Luke Fickle talked a lot about not
having a preseason game, not having it. Tackling and ball security.
I think you don't have all that live action. Those
are two things that you really want to look at.

Get those hits out of the way and make sure
that Western Michigan's ball security is on point.

you got Darryl Peterson and Leon Lowry is the outside
backers Jehem Thomas Jake Cheney are inside and we are
set to go under Center. Is Hayden Woolf on first

Very quick and proper correction there. Third and eight Broncos

favorite in this game, this is what you want to do.

Their tight end comes down and washes his guy down
and Buckley just continues. He's pushing harp getting north and south,

You know that Western Michigan's defense is real, and thirty
two plays in the first you know, the first couple

of drives a bunch of time, and in physical you
get off the field. And that's a case where you
can bury a team. And to Western Michigan's credit, they've
been very good upfront. They're running the ball very effectively,
they're mixing match and doing some nice stuff. And they
answered the bell where you hoped Wisconsin had maybe a
knockout punch, that was not the case. They withstood that.

Bad Drew's defense had a couple of chances, three of
them in fact, to get off the field after they
scored the touchdown, a third and two that was converted,
a third and seven from their own thirty four that
was converted, and then the goal line play that was
