Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good afternoon from Gabridgefieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, with Brian Butch,
our engineer, Dave McCann and Aisha Jackson back of the
network studio. This is Matt Lepey. We welcome you to
Wisconsin Basketball, and we welcome you to Championships Sunday. Not
to mention selection. Sunday one of the great days on

(00:20):
the American sports calendar, and the Badgers have the big
stage here this afternoon as they get ready to take
on the Michigan Wolverines for the Big Ten Tournament title.
Both teams getting here in dramatic fashion. A last second
coast to coast drive from Trey Donaldson gets Michigan here
and john Tonjay doing john Tonjay thanks against top ten teams,

(00:43):
his third game against a top ten opponent, where he
has scored thirty plus a record breaking thirty two, a
Wisconsin record in the Big Ten Tournament thirty two points yesterday.
But both of those guys had help. And Brian, you
thought yesterday'd be pretty good. What do you think of today?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I think it's be great.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
You know, we started this November when not everybody was
paid attention to it.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I said, do you know why.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
I love Opening Night because this group right here has
a chance to make a statement for their group, for
this team. They can make the statement by their play. Well,
guess what we're here again, We're now in March, and
this group has forty minutes in front of them to
make a statement and raise a banner. I'd say, that's

(01:27):
what you do this for. And now this group has
a chance to go do it.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
And they have done it with their star player truly
being a star in this tournament with John Toanjay. But
you can't do it alone. He has had help yesterday.
Among the standouts, Carter Gilmore hitting a couple of big threes,
five assists, five rebounds, no turnovers, three blocks, including a
critical one in the closing minutes. And you can pick

(01:52):
some other guys as well in this tournament that this
is how this team at its best has played for
a good chunk of the season right the death.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
One guy might have a bad game, the other guy
steps up. It's a great examples effort. I Kamari McGee
gets ejected, object comes in and plays fantastic like everybody
has stepped up in their moment whenever that moment is
coming during a long season. You're gonna have your moment
during long forty minutes. Somebody's gonna have a moment today.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Let's find out together, shall we. Good crowd they're filing in.
Not every seat is full, but they're a good crowd. Nonetheless,
expect a lot of energy in the building here this afternoon.
Your officials for this championship game, Brian Dorsey, Jeffrey Anderson,
and Keith Kimball. And yes, if you're tracking such things,

(02:41):
this is the fifth straight Wisconsin game where Keith Kimball
has had a whistle. But the fact he didn't blow
it on the closing seconds yesterday veteran move by a
veteran official, and it secure Wisconsin's win by making no call,
which was the right thing to do.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
And what you're looking forward to right now, how Wisconsin
is you finally get a chance. Now you saw Michigan
early December. You've learned a lot about yourself, You've changed.
Now you get a chance to go and play against
the two bigs that have you know, dominated the Big ten.
And now you get a chance to go tip the

(03:18):
ball up and go fight for what should be yours.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
So do it. Michigan with the higher seed with the
Amaze Younis, the Blue Trim Badgers as the five seed,
the Traveling Cardinal and the White Trim blad Golden and
Steven Krow ready to jump center as they're on their
feets at Gamebridge Field House, the Badgers and the Wolverines
back in December. You're a Wisconsin fan. You're thinking could have,

(03:42):
should have, just couldn't get stops Michigan with sixteen to
twenty six from the field of the second half of
that game, getting out of the Coal Center with a
sixty seven to sixty four victory. And yeah, those two
bigs were big for Michigan, Wolf and Golden. So selections
both of these programs and everybody else will find out

(04:03):
what's up in their schedule this week, who they'll play,
when they'll play, where they'll play. The optimism in badger
Land that we had taken a little short bus ride
to Milwaukee. That's the thought. We'll get the facts in
a couple of hours. I think I'm double the filibuster here,

(04:23):
just waiting for you know, TV, Come on this, wait, Brian,
you know, stop reading the promos. We can just start
the game here. So it's all it says, you get
Big Ten has always been you know very much, uh
in desire of having this stage. The last game leading
the selections Sunday, and they had the Selections show, and

(04:45):
here we are again, tossing tappitable onto Michigan Wolverines go
to where left and we are underway in this Big
Ten Tournament championship game. Ruben Jones against john Tonjay throwing
to Wolf. Gi is with Nolan Winter. Now Donaldson off
the screen, chase by Blackwell. Donaldson in the lane, throws
it up mister short and rebound Blackwell for Wisconsin. Badger's
moving to our right of the first half. Blackwell against
Donaldson top of the circle, feeds Winner, flips to Tadjay

(05:08):
on the left side. He'll toss the crowd right of
the circle inside feed bad pass and it's knocked away
and it's a turnover for Wisconsin. Rubin Jones forcing it.
Here's Tray Donaldson right side of the front court, throwing
to Danny Wolf steps up Beeds Golden right of the circle.
Glad Golden holds and looks he'll whip it through. Namari
Burnett tries a three, hits a three on the left

(05:29):
side to open up the score.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
And you can't give Burnette open looks because that's what
he wants to He wants to shoot it from threes.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
A three point shooter.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
On the year, has a quick release as he gets
Michigan on the board. Nolan Winter high on the left,
be's Max Fleas on top of the circle, fires at
three straight on straight in for Mad Max. We're tied
at three. A minute gone bottom. He if I could
get going for Max Klesman. Look out, here's Tray Donaldson
down the lane, leaves Danny wolf Flow on the left,
reverses to the rights and flips it up and end.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Now Trey Donalson is getting to the paint last two.
Ye yes, I know they hit the three, but two
of the three possessions he got to the paint.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Five to three, Michigan a minute twenty gone by John Todd.
Jay Hie the left throws the Winter Flashy to the
goal and he walked with the ball. Turn over the
Wisconsint Two miskeews in the early minutes here for the Badgers.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
When we talked about turnovers for Michigan, how many they
have Wisconsin two of them early on in this game.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Yeah, Michigan will turn it over the turnover percentage rate
is twenty worst in the Big Ten. And he got
away with it yesterday and there one point win against Maryland,
a high turnover game for Dusty May's team. Trey Donaldson
outside left off the wolf screen, whips it back the
wolf for the left wing. He'll shake, operates against Nolan Winner,
puts it on the deck, starting to back the left
of the lane, kills the dribble, whips it inside that

(06:40):
goes through everybody and out of bounds, trying to buzz
one into Amari Burnett at a turnover for Michigan.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
And those are the turnovers Michigan, they're gonna give you.
There's no reason to throw that pass. But Danny Well,
he's gonna give you. Three to three and a half
a game.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Off the floor comes John blackwellom and at fifty gone
by five to three Michigan. Black Well up the crowd screen,
pulls the Dolan Winter, He'll he'll toss at the ton,
drops it in the crowd right of the lane, Golden
single coverage out the Winter, wraps the Klezman high on
the left. Klesband against Trey Donaldson shot clock at ten.
They work along the perimeter. Tanjay left Handerwin to the
free throw line back to Nolan, fakes the three. Five

(07:13):
to shoot Blackwell on the left side. Three to shoot
Blackwell off the left wing, going to the goal, throws
it up and that's way over everything. Weakside rebound Dandy
Wolf of Michigan thinks you get a good defensive team.
And here's Donaldson weaving into the lane inside Burnette and
mowing the right lay left good. They get seven to
three Michigan. We're about two and a half minutes in.
Blackwell on the front court for Wisconsin. Throws it out

(07:34):
to Stephen Krowe rotates the winter. He'll leave it for
Klesband of the right side. Jones defending Max off the
right wing, darts at the krow for three on the
left side off the riven out, No good, Ruben Jones
the rebound for Michigan off the floor and a feet
the Wolf. He'll try a three right wing black ey
are no good. Tanjay with the rebound for Wisconsin. There's
Max Klesband front cord. He'll snap off at three and

(07:55):
he left that short crowd trying to backtap. He does
to Tanjay takes the three. John drive, I mean pivots
back out. The Winter flips the three straight on straight
in and it's seven six Michigan with three minutes in good.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Offensive rebound there by Wisconsin to create another possession for themselves.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Trey Donaldson throwing the golden top of the circle and
he threw it away, trying to bounce it into Donaldson
to the paint. It goes out of bounds. It'll belong
to Wisconsin as Carter Gilmore and Kamari McGhee will come
in full of the Badgers. Crow and Blackwell will sit
down three oh eight, gone by seven to six, Michigan
leading Wisconsin, and McGhee will leave it for Carter. Gilmore

(08:32):
brings it up the floor. Gilly High on the left,
hands off the Max plesband, kicks the Winter, took a look,
turned it down, gives off the tanjay on the right side.
John gribbles to the right lane line pivots gets it
out of there to Gilmore. Rotates to mcgeehi on the
left around at Gilly ball screen, throws it back to Carter.
He'll fake the three ten to shoot. Gilmore hands off
the klesban Mac's off the wing out the Winter open

(08:53):
three straight away and it rattles out no good. Glad
Golden the rebound for Michigan. Here comes Donalds to the
head of Burnett right corner three and it's an air
ball caught by Tanjay. And here comes Wisconsin. Tanja up
the right side of the front court against Ruben. Jones
steps back, throws the Winter refeats Tanja on the right side.
John here's at the Max. He'll try a three right

(09:14):
side and that's halfway down, popped out rebound McGee and
it spiked back out the Gilmore. Now Tanja leaves it
for Winter. He'll flip a three right side that's off
the back rim. No good.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
This game is going back and forth in which we
thought it would a little bit.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Burnette of the right side. Michigan leads seven six, were
four point fifteen into the game. Golden in the lane,
pivots right, Black goes up miss Winter the rebound good
low post d from Winter. Here comes Kamari McGee left
side of the front court for the Badgers. Feeds Winter
at the top. It rows to Klesman of the right wing,
Max against Tray Donaldson working around a Winter screen. Max
goes inside and threw it away. One in Winters stolen

(09:53):
by Golden and it's two on two. Donaldson now feeds Ruben.
Jones blows off the right wing lost, they handle, gets
it back out the Doc Nelson high in the right,
skip past Jones. He'll try a three left side. That's
an airball caught by Tonjay. Fifteen to fifteen left in
the half seven six, Michigan. Tonjay driving off the left
wing in the lane, pushed it up in traffic and

(10:14):
that's way off the mark. Rebound Danny Wolf as they
play on through the contact. Wolf to the front court,
moving in on Gilmore. He goes down whist so walked
with the ball turnover Michigan in time for everybody to
take a dip bresolutely absolutely turnovers, airballs, clanked shots, chimpionship
sev Chip Sunday Everybody. Today's game brought to you in

Dell is the best place for growing up, entertainment, games
and fun times. Your odds are better here. Fifteen minutes
left in the first half, Michigan seven, Wisconsin six. This
is Badger basketball from lear Field brought. He asked his

(11:00):
copyright h by the Big Ten Conference incorporated any use
of this broadcast or any pictures, descriptions, or a counsel
of the game without the Big Ten Conferences express rith
the consent is prohibited. Where exactly five minutes into this
championship game, Michigan leeds Wisconsin from seven to six.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
I think the pace early on here for both teams,
it's how do you handle the emotion of a championship game.
Obviously you go to bed at night, you try to
get some sleep, but you're thinking about what it's like
to raise the trophy. We've seen that in the first
five minutes, just playing faster both teams. We've seen air balls,
we've seen turnovers. Now you've got that first media, take
a deep breath, play the way that both teams have

(11:39):
played all year long.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Camari the Heee brings it to the front court, throwing
at John Blackwell between the circles. Runs by Stephen Krow
there and black Roll with Herold to Gilbert Jack Jamickey
in the lineup left wing into crowd left and Lane
Wilt Cheddars defending single coverage little big from Roddy Gale,
Backius crowd left blocks al to field or light of
the circle feeds Janicky side f caught by Krow five

(12:01):
to shoot, Stephen Up missed off to the left side.
Eyronybody was fouled to play. Will Cheddar six eight, Richard
Junior and the Soda Native guilty of the foul. Steven
Krowe will shoot two.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
You're not surprised that Vlad Golden's not in the game.
He was really breathing pretty hard. I know you have
the media time out, but you know Cheddar and then
that's what Wisconsin takes advantage of their advantage down low.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
There's free thrill, no good for Krow eighty two and
a half percent at the foul and Badgers remained best
in the nation at the foul in eighty two and
a half percent, but they're now slightly below that record
setting pace up by Villanova a few years ago. Second
free throw for Crow is straight through and we're tied
at seven. Five and a half minutes in Trey Donaldson

(12:46):
up the floor, Wolf Gale, Cheddar and Jones the rest
of the five of the four for the Wolf rings.
Here's Wolf not to weigh by Crow inside. It's loose.
Blackwell comes up with it. Here comes John up the
middle of the front court and we use off to
the right side. Nol Krow finds Gilmore. They'll talk at
the Janicky on the left wing, sends to Krow a
flipped to McGee, starts to probe off the right wing,
retreats and he'll snap off at three and it's off

(13:07):
the back of the rim. No good. Kraw crashing gets
the offensive rebound out the Gilmore feeds Janicky. Second chance
for a Wisconsin. Blackwell on the left wing. John Probes
kicks to Gilmore, Parter stops at the top of the circle.
Shot clock is at eight. Blackwell left side. He'll let
fly at three and that's an airball and McGee catching underneath.
But he was on the faceline and out of bounds.

(13:29):
A couple of airballs from Michigan, and we just saw
one from Wisconsin.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Yeah, well, I like his three offensive rebounds by Wisconsin
and zero for Michigan early on in this game. I mean,
Wisconsin's being more physical than Michigan right.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Now, thirteen fifty left in the first half, Wisconsin and
Michigan tied at seven. Rubin Jones up top, throwing a
Roddy Gale, the former Ohio State buck guy, a left
hand ribbled against Jack Jenicky and moving in his Gael
kick out shudder shot fake. You know l J. Cason
in the lineup as the basketball he'll get at the
Jones the right side. Jones driveles to the top of

(14:01):
the ar shot clock at seven. Jones gets a high
screen from Wolf, fires it off the Cheddar flips the
three left corner off the rim. No good, Kamari McGee
up strong for the rebound. Thirteen twenty two left and
the half tied at seven. McGee throwing a Gilmore, feeds
Blackwell a bump, a play on Jones Stagger's back, crowd
top of the circle back to Blackwell. The Michigan native
Hin on the left, driving left of the lane, runs

(14:23):
it out to McGee, lines it up, shoots a three,
and that's off the rim. No good. Blackwell fighting for
the rebound, can't get it. Scheddar does and now here's LJ.
Cason and that throws Ice cold from distance case and
whips it. Scheddar left corner, flying by his crowd. Kick
out up top, casin for three and left of the circle,
no good rebound crowd tips gathered by Kamari McGee, twelve
fifty left and the half still tied at seven. Janicki

(14:45):
front court of the left side, hits the brakes, gets
at the kraw hands it back to Jack. He'll try
a three and that's off the back of the rim.
No good rebound tip. McGee trying to save, and it's
into the hands of LJ. Cason. Michigan. A little five
on four gale gets by Janicky in the lane feeds case,
it runs into McGee and Tomario a little tardy getting
there is called for.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
The block, and that's why the block was there. Obviously, Michigan.
You said it had the five on four and you
know Kamar is hustling back, but he's caught on the
side and that's where the file is gonna happen. Right now,
everybody is just playing so fast until so just if
your Wisconsin offensively, you've had good looks from three, haven't
made them, you're two of eleven.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Try to break that paint just a little bit.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
LJ. Cason will be inbounding golden back in the game
for Michigan. The inbounce pass will go to him, Nolden
Winter will defend twelve thirty left and a half, tied
at seven. Blottie Dale on the right side off the
golden screen pulls up with the free throw line, bounces
the Golden off the right block and would add on.
Winter up left hand and rolls in for gold in
his first points and it's nine to seven Michigan. Michigan

(15:50):
had missed sixth straight. The Badgers have fired eight straight blanks.
Xavier Amos in there for Wisconsin, throws to John Tanjay
back out there, reads Winter raps to Max Kleusban, who
was re entered the game. MAT's the right point. You'll
throw to Amos Hih on the left to toss to Blackwell.
John feeds Winter with the shot clock now down to ten,
Pleasant kicks it the tonj right quarter three off the rim.
No good. The Badgers can not buy one right now.

(16:12):
They are two of twelve from three. Here's cases left
lane line A bupper playouts. I'm blocked by Amos comes
out to Burnett, now Golden top of the circle lines
it up, tries at three and hits it. The eleventh
May three of the year for Vlad Golden twelve seven Michigan.
Eleven thirty eight left of the first half. The Xavier
Amy is throwing the Blackwell high on the left right

(16:34):
hand tossed the Winter rips the tonj baseline right. John
stops out the Winter, gives it up to Amos, turns
to Klesman on the left side. Max leaves it for
Blackwell left quarter three is good, Thank you John Blackwell.
Let's ripple. It's twelve ten Michigan.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Better ballman and it got to the paint and then
sprayed it out. That made dis pass.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Golder's gonna try again, little heat check and then banked
off the rim. No good and the rebound comes out there.
Roddy Gale's second chance for mission. With eleven o five
left and the half cases off the left wing of
the top of the circle. Kills the dribble. He'll toss
to Burnett high the right with Plesman on him. Now
Golden it's in back to Burnett off the golden screen.
Left elbow fires off the shueddar with the shot fake
left wing guards are past the Gale. He's opened to

(17:14):
three right of the circle. Offer him no good. Rebound,
Winter fouled by Golden over the back. It's the first
time black Golden and We'll have the under twelve media timeout.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Yeah, Wisconsin, one of their last ten, Michigan two of
their last eleven. Both teams play through the post, or
should try to play through the post, or at least
play through the paint more. I'm you have to credit
Wisconsin because Michigan right now has taken fifteen shots. Both
teams are taken fifteen shots, Wisconsin taking thirteen threes. Michigan's

(18:35):
taken nine threes, which is a lot for them. So
it tells me Wisconsin defensively is packing the paint, which
they want to do.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
You want to if you want to force threes for Michigan,
you can live with that.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
I know Wisconsin's not making threes, but defensively, I feel
Wisconsin's doing a pretty good job. I am very surprised
Michigan has not been more intentional in trying to play
through the post the first ten minutes of this.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
We'll see if that changes. Right now, you've got the
Badgers playing their fourth game in four days, third and
three for Michigan, so maybe some of this isn't all
that much of a surprise. As Blackwell brings it up
the floor for Wisconsin, throwing to Xavier Amos high on
the left, he'll toss the Kleusban off the winter screens,
max out the winter for three right of the circle.

(19:21):
It's off the rim. No good, Roddy Gale the rebound
said thirty left in the half twelve ten Michigan will
Cheddar on the right side. He'll throw the Donaldson between
the circles. Donaldson against John Blackwell near the midstrive now
left hand toss to Gale. They'll leave it for Burnett
off the donald Or up the golden screen and off
past to Donaldson. Ten to shoot Golden off the left elbow,

(19:45):
back to the basket, reverse pivot, put it on the deck,
spinning in the lane, scoops it up left hand to
hard go good rebound Amos for Wisconsin out let the
Tanjay busting up the floor. Tonjay with the head of
steam left of the lane, pivots runs it out through
Amos feeds Blackwell turns to Tonjay thanks the three dice
baseline left not the way Cheddar has it. Ton Jay
had bad intentions. Michigan had an answer for him.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Donaldson was the one that came through with the steel
and noahs. The heck of a play.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Donaldson out high off the golden screen, using it again,
turns to the lane Linton and shot blocked by Winter,
comes back to Donaldson, whips at the Burnette on the
right side, darts it into Golden Low and the right
throws it over the rim. We sided rebound of Winter
nine thirty three left in the havel still twelve ten Michigan.
Here's Blackwell and the lane. Little Euro step to the rib, layup, No,
and the rebound tip is jammed between the rim and

(20:32):
the glass. We got a wedgie. Yeah, arrow Wisconsin. Yea
his arrow Wisconsin, but man Wisconsin. Three of nineteen for
the field, three of fourteen from the Yark Michigan five
of eighteen and two of nine from this both teams.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
I mean, we just sell black Golden just completely miss
a layup. Yeah, he's sixty three percent percent. It's one
of the better the trees. So it's been one of
those games.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
He sits down Blackwell baseline left in bounding, floats it
out to Stephen Krow against Will Scheddar. A thrown at
quarter Gilmore. He'll get it to Klesman high on the
right against Burnett. Max moving into the lane. Now back
pedals to the corner and he'll let fly at three
and he'll hit it Klesman with his second triple. It's
thirteen to twelve Wisconsin. Wolf quickly the other way from

(21:19):
Michigan with nine to ten left to the first half.
Badgers get back and now Trey Donaldson will set the floor,
throw into Danny Wolf at the top of the circle,
dribbles off to the right side. They got him isolated
on Gilmore backing his Wolf still backing right lane, line
turns pivots again and he gets it out the roddy.
Gale fakes the three left of the lane, runs into tanjay.
Nothing called. Gale floats it up and into the right hand.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Yeah, don't thin we're going to anybody's gonna get that
call there. I don't think that's gonna happen. This is
gonna be a physical one.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
Fourteen thirteen, Michigan, with eight forty three left of the
first half. Blackwell brings it out front to quarter Gilmore
at the top of the circle. You'll moore against Wolf.
You'll toss it back to Blackwell high on the lefts
Blackwell spinning turn around on foul line. Jumper is good
for Blackwell, back and forth we go now. Fifteen fourteen, Wisconsin,

(22:06):
eight twenty three left in the half. Tray Donaldson. It
will burst to the right wing Carter Gilmore is on him,
skip past wilcheddar left corner. He'll try a three short
tonjay the rebound with the eight thirteen left and the
half Badgers up one Tonjay up a little front court,
pulls up Liza for Kraw, flips to Blackwell at the
right point. Blackwell matched up with Gaale Blackwell probing bounce
past the Kraw mid post right crowl against Wolf bats

(22:29):
turns upright hand. That's too hard, no good. We'll shaedd
the rebound. Here comes Tray Donaldson for the Wolverines through
the center circle to the front court, out the Wolf.
He'll try a three left side that's off the rim,
and he'll go out of bounds to Wisconsin. We'll have
the under eights media timeouts, and we'll have another break here. Hey,

the first half was in fifteen Michigan fourteen. This is

(23:11):
and the story of Madison lives in the Wisconsin State Journal.
Subscribe today at Madison dot Com slash story seven forty
nine left in the first half. Not a Picasso here
so far offensively for either team. But the Badgers lead
Michigan fifteen to fourteen, which he won, and both teams
had to expend eight not of energy yesterday, So maybe

(23:32):
we shouldn't be surprised at shots aren't dropping here. No.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
I think some of it is the look, some of
it's tired legs, some of it's now just trying to
get to a flow of it. I think you also
have the credit both sides defensively, Like Michigan, they're doing
a really job of switching all the screening action, so
different than what Michigan State did. Mischian State State attached
the three point choos right now. Michigan's switching so they

(23:56):
can't get through. So it's a little bit of a
different game plan.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Under Gilmore at the top of the circle, he'll throw
to Crow on the left wing. Uth throws it back
to Gilmore, shuffles to his right, hands off the tan
Jack John baseline right one pump turns it back out
the Gilmore raps to Krow Crow left of the circle.
Against Burnett, he's up for Gilmore tosses through Blackwell. Five
to shoot Blackwell against Roddy Gale. Three to shoot Blackwell

(24:22):
in the lane, goes to the rim, clifted up this
but the foul with the shot clock winding down, a
strong take from John Blackwell. He'll shoot two. I love
the attack.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
You're not You're four of fifteen from three. Get break
the paint. Just continue to attack that. You're gonna have threes.
But one thing you want to do is continue to
be aggressive. Finally we're starting to see that a little
bit more here for Wisconsin.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
First free throw for Blackwell is good. He had fourteen
points yesterday against Michigan stateius six so far today. Black
Golden checking in as Dessi may is gonna go bigger
now he's got Golden and Wolf who usually start golding
back in replacing Roddy Gale. Seven twenty left in the half,
sixteen to fourteen Wisconsin leading Michigan. Lack Well better than

(25:08):
eighty percent to have the free throw line. Hit the
first second one on the way and that's straight down
the middle and it's seventeen fourteen Wisconsin. Seven to twenty
left to the half. Donaldson will bring it up the floor.
From Michigan, a team that plays fast, but there's fast
and rushed and maybe a little bit of rush from
both sides here so far. Here's Donaldson out between the arcs,

(25:28):
Wolf the screen. Now Wolf Well catch feeds Ruben Jones
shot back right side. Now let's apply over Tonjay and
that's in and out. No good rebound Blackwell four Wisconsin
and a sophomore guard up the right sideline. He'll throw
the crowd tosses the Tanjay off the crowd screen, A
step back, three in the air for Tanjay. It's a
round and out, no good. Wulf the rebound. Donjay has

(25:49):
yet to score here. Wolf to the front court. It's
a wolf light of the circle. He'll throw it to
Burnette right wing, goes into Donaldson right corner. Three in
the air, off the back of the rim. No good
and a foul called. They're going to get I'm are
they okayed? We'll be on Steven Krowell inside as Tanjay
grabbed the rebound, but crowd called for the foul. His

(26:09):
first A lot of grabbing.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
That's where you know, when you get down there as
a big you got to try to use your hips.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
You can't grab because They're gonna.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Look for it.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Second team foul and Wisconsin and bounced past the Golden
just inside the free throw line, moving in on crowd
Low on the left, up left hand off the glass
and end seventeen sixteen Wisconsin with six twenty five left
to the first half. Golden was seven points here in
this first half. Will play Crowd right of the circle.
He'll throw to Gilmore, toss to Blackwell, Burnette defending Blackwell

(26:39):
right of the lane, up Golden on the switch. Blackwell
steps back. He'll try a three that bangs off the rim.
No good, and the rebound went off on Wolf then
Burnette and out of bounds. A gift there for Wisconsin.
As Max Klesban will check in for john Tonjay six
eleven left and a half seventeen sixteen Wisconsin leading Michigan.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
I would love stilt to see wiscons to start driving
and breaking the paint.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
And bounce past the krow right wing Steven looking at
a tough pass. Blackwell saves the over and back as
he tapped at the Klesband Max right of the circle.
Golden defense bounce past the kraw He's with Wolf back
to Max jab Step now launching at three off the
back of the rim. No good, they're gonna get Wolf,
I think as he was grabbing on Stephen Krow and

(27:24):
that's the second foul on Danny Wolf. That's gonna be
the battle down low. It really is.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
At some point here they're going back and forth. You've
seen a foul down there by Big Steve. Now there
is a foul there by Danny Wolf gets it going
to be a battle in the paint.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
He comes out, Sheddar is in and bounce pass. Prow
hands it to Kamari, swoops off the right wing and
the lane floats to Klesband left corner. He'll toss to
Gilmour high on the left. Gilmore hands off the Max
Lesbond outside left, Cheddar defense the past the Kraal visa
for Blackwell, John left handrable to the line, down the
lane to the rim, lay up. Good, there you go,
Thank you. Nineteen sixteen, Wisconsin with five point thirty four

(28:03):
left in the half, John Blackwell with nine in this
first half of the Badger's Ruben Jones starts the offense
for Michigan. Tomari Burnett outside right in front of the
Wisconsin bench. You'll toss to Jones top of the circle,
feeds Golden, holden right elbow, move it in on Crow
in the lane inside, feeds Shedd. A reverse layup is
off the rimming out. No good rebound Gilmore. Here comes

(28:24):
Blackwell right sidelined, front court four Wisconsin gilt Or Blackwell
to the line, shuffles into the lane, turns it out.
The crowd gets it back to Blackwell, sends to Krow.
He'll toss to Gilbour long three in the air, back
of the rim. No good rebound Burnett with five minutes
left of the half. Nineteen sixteen Wisconsin Burnette front court.
It's at the golden at the top of the circle.

(28:46):
Golden backing on Crow, kicks it out the Donaldson right wing,
drives off the wing, kicks to Jones. Good look at
a three left side. It's good straight crew for Ruben Jones.
We're tied at nineteen four forty left in the first half.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Still a good defensive possession there.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
It really was Ax Klesmer. Little overplay from Jones and
then Klus but behind the back clips to kraw He'll
try at three and that's off the left side. I
are no good rie abound battle for Burnett trying to
save and it goes off with him that out of bounds.
Other break for Wisconsin, Winster and Amos will check in,
kraw and Gilmour will come out.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
Right now, Wisconsin is more physical than Michigan. They just are.
They're getting fifty to fifty balls because we know they're
not shooting it well. They're four of twenty from three.
They've only taken eight shots that haven't been three. So
I would love to get to Wisconsin to drive a
little bit more. But they've got extra possessions because they
have been more physical than Michigan.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
Right now, Bryan Dorsey going over to the scorers table,
we have four twenty five left of the first half.
Wisconsin and Michigan tied at nineteen.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
I don't think chot clock is fan reviewed.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
And that's what you hear from Ryan Dorsey. The shot
clock shows twenty seven and while they figure it out,
let's pause ten seconds for station identification, ten for an ID.
This is Badger basketball from lear Field to shot clock
at twenty seconds. Now is Blackwell inbounds to Kamari McGee
out between the circles three high and the right feeds.
Winter tosses the Blackwell off the Winter screen Blackwell the

(30:17):
free throw line, feeds McGee right corner three Nope, rebound
Wilt Cheddar wonder threes aren't falling for Kamari. You know
it's a tough half. Here comes Roddy Gale Gale out
between the circles. Tanjay ready to re enter for Wisconsin,
coming up on the under four media timeout. Donaldson high
on the left down a four minutes left of the
first half. Gail right wing holds it out. The Cheddar

(30:38):
wraps to Donaldson outside left shot clock at ten. Here's
Gail driving on ams right Laneline goes up off the
glass and it spins out. No good rebound. Nolan Winter
for Wisconsin with three forty five left to the half,
tied to nineteen. Blackwell left of the circle loops at
the Nolan. Winter out top. Winter with a pass for
Klesban turns down the Winter screen kicks the McGee left corner.

(30:59):
Kamori behind the back of the dribble, being crowded by
Ruben Jones. Now Winter throws to Amos, feeds Max for
three right side off the back of the rim. No good,
Ruben Jones the rebound.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Good shot good look just a miss. I mean that's
it's that simple.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
There's Jones to the line, Jones all the way to
the rim.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
He'll lay it up for that up though man can't
give up a transition. Now you can go get one.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
No, here's all in. Winter run on the floor and
he is sped by Kleusban Winter catches and finishes retired
at twenty one.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
If you're here to give one up, you might as
well go give.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
One, Give one, get one. Three h five left to
the first half. Donaldson sets the floor for the Wolverines
with he and on the defensive end. Now Gale throws
it back to Donaldson. Donaldson between the yards, starts a
past to Gale. He'll try a three right side, thuds
off the back of the rim. No good rebound. Exave

(31:47):
your amos. Here it comes Blackwell.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Gale's hurt, he's limper right now. You got to get
the ball.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
But here's Blackwell in the lane. Out the McGee tap
pass amos face the three drives on, shutter down the lane,
throws it up contact they play on. No read about
Blackwell up it in it will play has stopped as uh,
now there we're.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Gonna have Yeah, what fortune?

Speaker 1 (32:08):
They are Blackwell got the bucket, got popped flat, Golden
is limping, Roddy Gaale is lipping. We'll sort it out
as we have the under four media timeouts. Take a
look at a replay right now, they'll sort it out

(32:28):
and we'll update you. Two thirty four left of the
first half, Wisconsin twenty three Michigan twenty one. This is
Badger Basketball from lear Field Badger Fans. Today's game has
brought to you by the official products of Wisconsin Athletics.
Roof up, lots of Monte pizza, old Dutch chips, and PEPSI.

(32:49):
Play review going on right now with two thirty four
left of the first half Wisconsin leechs Michigan twenty three
to twenty one. Catch any announcement there from Brian dorstet.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
No, And it just but it looks it looks like
there's just gonna be a play on which it should
have been.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
What happened is ex droll.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
They you know, he got kind of the mid section
of like Golden there, but it wasn't like it was
you know, excessive. It was a basketball play. I'd be
shocked him as anything like that. And like I said,
face by based on the way that they're set up
for inbounds.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
I'd say that this is a playoff.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
The golden stage in the game. Roddie Galo was limping.
You had called it on that at the end of
the last heaps absolution for Michigan and he is not
in the lineup now.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
And it's something to watch because he's been pretty good
for him as it looks like he's go get looked
at him.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Yeah. So the Badger's lead twenty three to twenty one,
but two minutes in thirty four seconds left in the
first half A right.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
I mean, yeah, I'm not a doctor, but just based
on the replay we saw there by Roddy Gale, looks
like it's kind of a ham strength.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Which left left leg there?

Speaker 3 (34:02):
Ye, left lower body injury. Yes, I'll tell you what
he grabbed. He grabbed his.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Head his hand Yep, that part of the lower body.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
That part of the lower body I saw him grab.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Yes, So we play on L. J. Cason in the
game for Michigan. Now Badgers have Janicki, TANJ Blackwell, Amos
and Nolan Winter. Two thirty three left in the half
Wisconsin twenty three, Michigan twenty one. Donaldson off the floor
outside left, He'll feed Will Cheddar at the top of
the circle. Throws to Golden left all on extended, goes
off the Donaldson to the line, Donaldson to the lane,

(34:36):
kickout Jones. Jones left of the lane, drives on Tanja stops,
wheels it out the Cheddar tries the three right corner
back rim, No good, it's hey arbus the rebound first
concert man. Here comes Blackwell for the Badgers. John throwing
the X high on the right. He'll toss to Tanja
John left hand ribble le's it for Winter outside left,
cold and Winter you're throwing to Blackwell on the left side.

(34:58):
Blackwell against gold and takes him on baseline. Now takes
it out to the right, steps back. He'll let fly
a three and it's short. No good rebound. JANICKI out
the Tanjay second chance Wisconsin. Blackwell top of the circle,
throwing a Janick baseline right, Jack in the lane, pivots
almost walked whips at the Amos tries at three left
of the circle, off the rim, no good rebound. Winter

(35:18):
gets it for Wisconsin. Now Blackwell in the lane up
over Golden, no good rebound vlag Golden for Michigan.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
It's a physical game. I mean it just is.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Here comes Donaldson right side front court for Michigan and
a whistle and an offensive foul on Trey Donaldson as
Janicki went down.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
Okay, yeah, I would agree, I would agree. Yes, there's
a little bit. But Janicki, I love Jagus playing great.
I thought he was falling down even before the extension
of live it would be completely obvious. The great place
to the possession.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
One twenty seven left in the half with the Badgers
leading Michigan twenty three to twenty one. Blackwell front court
as Janicki comes to the bench. Now Tanja the right side,
He'll throw the crow left of the circle. Stevie takes
the hand off the Klesbant darts a past to Amos
X holds and looks tightly defended by cheddar down. Max
curls off the left wing in the lane, leaves it inside.

(36:12):
Crowd gets fouled by Donaldson. Boy, what a feed from Max?
Who it's two to one? Tray Donaldson and you know
coming back in as l Maury Burnett's he'll come in
for Donaldson. Carter gil Moore set to re enter. Six
fouls on Michigan by the way Bill Moore in for

(36:33):
Amos Thoks with four rebounds here in this half, Badgers
leads twenty three twenty one, with one to three left
in the first half.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Six foules on Michigan two only.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
On the Scotts Badrews inbounding. They loop it into Krow,
feeds Gilmore high on the lefts Bill Moore against Will
Cheddar dribbles out between the circles. Liza for Klesban Max
on the right side. Max picked up by Cheddar now
clesband rocks the dribble and works baseline right jumper away short,
no good Burnett the rebound out of fifty seconds left

(37:03):
in the half. Badger's up two lad Golden top of
the circles. I pass for Jones. He'll try a three
straight away and that's off the back of the rim.
No good rebound. Kraw able to gather for Wisconsin. Thirty
eight seconds left in the half, two point lead for
the Badgers. Tianja on the right side, throwing to Krow
left of the circle. One dribble, a hand off the
Max bobs off the Krow screen Pleusband Whipster Gilmour up

(37:25):
top thought about it, turned it down Gilmore dribbles off
to the right. You'll leave it for Blackwell the shot
clock at ten twenty two on the game clock, Blackwell
baseline right, penetrates in the lane and walk with the ball.
Nineteen point two left in the half and a thirty
second time out taken by Michigan to use it or

(37:47):
lose it used by Dusty May nineteen point two left
in the half, shot clock dark. Wisconsin leads twenty three
to twenty.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
One offense.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Terrible, Yes, I did, and I don't be that bad way.
There's been open shots, they haven't made them. Mischigans had
some open shots, they haven't made them. Wisconsin shooting seventeen percent,
Michigans shooting eighteen percent from three.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
So I'm gonna say it's just been great defense.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
That's I mean, just absolutely textbook defense by both teams here.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
I'll go with that, sure, But I don't need to.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Be a curmudget, right.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
I will just say it's been great defense and then
we'll take care of everything. But it really, I mean,
this is what you get when he played as many
games headed legs. Now you're all of a sudden you're
gonna start to miss some shots. So I think One
of the things that you look at is drive. Attack.
The last possession by Max whining the step back mid range.
You know, step back. Didn't love that possession. I think

(38:49):
they can try to continue to move the ball, look
to drive a little bit, but really important here to
guard for this last nineteen point two.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
Danny Wolf has two files. He's back in the game
on the offensive side.

Speaker 1 (38:59):
Here's Traight Donald's Walston front court. Thirteen seconds left in
the half. Donaldson against Blackwell. Out of ten seconds, Ruben
Jones baseline right, peels it back out the Burnett six seconds.
Burnett feeds Jones top of the circle. Three seconds, Donaldson
with three with two throwing the golden left elbow jump
back rim no. First half over and the Badgers will
go into the locker room leading by two. Here in

(39:22):
this Big Ten Tournament Championship games, a defensive clash hit
downtown Indianapolis, Picasso.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
Yes, yes, that's our story.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
We're sticking to Wisconsin basketball brought to you by Rail
Transport offering exceptional transportation services, truck driving jobs, c deal training,
and so much more across Wisconsin. Learn Moore at Rail
DoD Jobs at the half Wisconsin twenty three Michigan twenty one.
We're back with a halftime report presented by Culvers. This
is Badger basketball from lear Field. A lot of times

(39:55):
in the one hundred and five years I've covered Wisconsin basketball,
they've had first halves along these lines, low twenty percent shooting.
The second half it's like fifty five percent.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
I'm fully anticipated.

Speaker 1 (40:06):
Yeah, I am too. Wisconsin leeds Michigan at the half
twenty three to twenty one. Neither team shooting it. Both
teams have had a fair amount of good Look, he's
been some good defense too, We got to say that.
But there are shots that both of these teams normally make.
They're not in the first half. Now let's see what
happens in their second twenty minutes.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
Well, in this tournament, we've had Wisconsin with a game
where they averaged one point six points per possession, and
now we've got where they're gonna have this point point
seven to two. Wisconsin's point seven two points per possession
and Michigan's point sixty four. So both teams, they're season
low for points at the half. It was offensive struggles,

(40:48):
we'll put it that way. But I did think Wisconsin
had open shots, yes, right, I think that's the thing
that I look at with this group.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
They've got open shots.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
I fully anticipate them to knock them down Defensively, what
they've done is they've made it very difficult on Michigan
to kind of find their chemistry and their rhythm as well.
And I think that's the biggest thing that I look
at with this group. I anticipate Wisconsin knocked out a
couple more shots.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Here we go, Michigan will have the first possession of
the second half. He'll be moving to right. Twenty three
twenty one Wisconsin. Second half of this Big Ten Tournament
championship game about to start, and.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
It's got as much as the offense hasn't come defensively,
Wisconsin's got to stay locked in and plays five. It
really does all of a sudden, you give Mischigans a
come Which team is going to find that offensive chemistry first,
in that offensive confidence, that's a big part of this.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
You can't let Michigan do that. Roddy Gaal, who came
up gumping toward the end of the first half, was
out there going through some warm ups kind of testing that,
but look to be a hamstring issue late in the
first half. And he remains on the bench. Second half underway,
Ruben Jones will bring it up the floor against John
Tanjay Jones off the high screen from Golden Jones's open,
He'll fire at three back of the rim. No good,

(42:02):
whistled down low foul call. This will go against the Wisconsin.
I think it's going to be steep. It is. That's
going to be his second ten seconds into the second half.

Speaker 3 (42:15):
That's the one area that they've done a great job
with is they've only given up three offensive rebounds to Michigan.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
Trey Donaldson baseline ride of the inbounds of the Golden
at the right elbow back to the basket against kraw
Now moves in a double from Tanjay Jones is open,
drives off the left wing in the lane. He'll hit
the brakes in the lane while scoops it up left hand.
No good. Krow the rebound for Wisconsin ahead. It goes
from Plesban to Blackwell left side of the front court.
Badger's moved to our right. In the second half. Krow

(42:45):
throwing a Tanjay, who did not score in the first half,
cooks around a crow screen Tanjay right of the lane,
throws it out to Kraw feeds Winter left of the circle.
He'll toss to Klesban on the left wing. Burnett defending
shot clock at ten. Kraw high on the rights, picked
up the dribble, throws to Winter. Five to shoe. Here's
Max at the top against Wolf. Three to shoe Klesbant
to the line down the lage to the rim high

(43:05):
off the glass. No good tipped up Winter, that won't fall.
Ruben Jones clears for Michigan.

Speaker 2 (43:11):
I don't know how to tiptoes.

Speaker 1 (43:12):
The cool man had gone by second f twenty three,
twenty one, Wisconsin. Rubin Jones against Winter right of the circle.
He'll flip the Wolf, goes into golden golden right block
double crow and wins Golden up miss rebound Kraw for Wisconsin.
Both teams missing from short range. Here's Tanjay right side

(43:32):
front court. He'll apply the brake, sends it the krow
left of the circle. A pass for Winter refeats Kraw
outside lefts takes the hand off to Klesban, who's being
shadowed by Burnett. Now will throw it at Klesband off
the krowscreen. Max circleing down the lane, goes up in
off the glass, coleusbit with a four point league Wisconsin

(43:53):
Tray Donaldson outside right against Blackwell, hooks it out to
Danny Wolf fakes the three working against Blackwell, Wolf backing
out of the lane, cut off by Blackwell. Now John,
we'll be guarding Trey Donaldson skip past Jones, wide open
three left side off the rim, No good, Winter, the
rebound sealed off Wolf out let the Klesban. Two minutes
into the second half, twenty five to twenty one, Wisconsin.

(44:15):
Winter left of the circle, black Belt trying to backcut,
can't get free crawl at the top. He'll toss to
Tanjay Tanja tightly off the krowd screen step back right,
albow jumper. That's short. Rebound comes out the kraw. Second
chance Wisconsin Toanja between the circles. Turns to Winter. He'll
give it up the Klesban. Heels around at Winter. Screen
three in the air, Max off the rim. No good
rebound tip, black Belt trying to run it down. Jones

(44:38):
trying to run it down out of bounds. It will
it foul? Foul? Yeah, Jones, Yeah, they will and black
Bell hustling after that rebound first on Reuben Jones rolling
Winter looking a little uncomfortable out there right now. Stay
he's on the floor.

Speaker 3 (44:55):
Every fifty to fifty ball right now has gone two Wisconsin.
The starts the first two and a half minutes of
the second half. They've really been all over the place,
and I think they've been more physical than Michigan right
now as well.

Speaker 1 (45:06):
Gil J. Cason coming in for Reuben Jones. About two
and a half minutes go on second half, twenty five
twenty one Wisconsin. Blackwell baseline right in Bounty. He'll throw
it into quarter Gilmore, he'll toss at the Klesband max
up top high screen Winter Clesband whips to Gilmour fakes
the three up top Leason for Blackwell. John shuffles off
the right wing back out the Gilly kicks the Blackwell

(45:27):
at the top shot Clocke at six. Blackwell, driving right
of the lane, goes up a first layup is good.
Another strong take from a strong young man, John Blackwell.
They've been more physical. I mean they really have biggest
lead of the game here at six points. Wisconsin Hazard
twenty seven to twenty one, not quite three minutes gone
second half. The Marii Burnett baseline left Pivots kicks it

(45:48):
out the case and throwing the Wolf right of the circle.
A step back three Danny Wolf off the rim, no
good rebound tapped out. Klesband diving for it, comes up
with it and he'll give off the Gilboy now Blackwell
front cord left side, Blackwell against Trey Donaldson, Blackwell on
the left wing, throwing the Winter at the top, clips
to Gilmore left of the circle. He's with Wolf, a

(46:09):
pass for Winter sends it to Klesban Max against Cason
to the line, down the lane to the rim, lay
up good Klesbid with the drive. Twenty nine to twenty
one Wisconsin, three and a half minutes gone, second half, LJ.
Cason long three left side. It's good. That's a big
three for Case and only the twelfth three he's had
all year twenty nine to twenty four of the Badger's

(46:31):
sixteen twenty remaining. Blackwell whistle and an offensive past two
Cloud into LJ. Cason. Oh, how quickly things can change,
as Kamarie McGee will come back in for Wisconsin, which,
like Crowd's gonna suck for Nolan Winter, who's looked uncomfortable
in the last couple of minutes.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
Absolutely, and I think It's one of those things. Though.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
You look at the physicality this game, it's going to
continue to get more physical than what we going to
this thing. And you know right now I've set it
so far, but fifty fifth the bulls or why Wisconsin
has this five.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Point lead, sixteen seventeen remaining. Olj Cason who had a
big three a moment ago. He's a twenty one and
a half percent three point shooter. Here's Cheddar in the game.
He'll try a three that's off the rim. No good rebound.
Tipton yanked away by Kamari McGee up the middle front
court comes McGee. They he up a high screen from Krow,
taps the brakes, Feaed Stevie top of the arc. You'll

(47:23):
give off to John Tanjay Tanjay against Will Cheddar the
end of the lane out the gilly open three, looks
at it, shoots it, hits it. Hilly James fourth three
and it's thirty two twenty four Wisconsin, fifteen forty five remaining.
Cheddar left of a circle up the case and he'll
try another three, hitting again. Are you kidding me? Thirty

(47:45):
two twenty seven Wisconsin, four and a half minutes gone
by second half. Kamary McGee feeds Gilmore, you'll throw the
Blackwell on the right side. Blackwell, it's at the Gilmore
refeeds Blackwell's quick task. Crowd finds it cutting Tanja moll
in the left goes up, gets hammered by Donalds and
free throws coming up for Tanjay but first three under
sixteen media timeout. As business is picking up here in Indianapolis.

Wisconsin leeds Michigan thirty two to twenty seven, with fifteen
twenty two remaining going into that media timeout. John Tonjay
was found inside. That was on Trey Donaldson. That's three
on Donaldson. Tonjay hasn't scored nor has Donaldson here in

(48:55):
this game. Donaldson will be on the bench for the
time being as Tonjay will step to the free throw
Ninety one percent is Tanjay at the line. He made
his first twelve free throws yesterday and then missed two
in the closing seconds, but then made up for it
with the defensive play that sealed the three point win
for Wisconsin against Michigan State. Tanjay averaging nineteen and a

half a game here. First free throw is good.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
Broddy Gale in the game for Michigan right now. Something
to keep your eye on, just to see how he's
moving or if it's a situation where Wiscon's can try
to attack him.

Speaker 1 (49:30):
Left leg an issue. First free throw good for Tanjay
and the second rolls in as well. Thirty four to
twenty seven Wisconsin with fifteen minutes and twenty seconds remaining
in this Big Ten Tournament Championship game casein against Kamari
McGee gives it up the Wolfies with Gilmour feeds scheddar
left wing Scheddar dribbles to the top whips at the gale.
He'll throw to Cason, who's hit two big threes here

in the second alf case In driving left in the lane,
lost his balance, got tripped up, and that'll be the
foul against Kolmari mc ghee his second and team found
number three fifteen oh five, remaining seven point lead for Wisconsin.
And they've done a great job on the glass. They

(50:13):
really have case in baseline right. Looped it into Wolf
top of the circle with Gilmore. Wolf dribbling out to
the left wing, picks it up, throws to Cason, casing
off the Wolf screen the left of the lane, driving
on Gilmore to the rim lay up, no good, it
rimmed out. Here comes Blackwell for Wisconsin. Blackwell right side
of the front court. He'll apply the brakes and throw
it at Krow gets at the Gilmore high on the

(50:34):

(50:55):
wolf the rebound. Fourteen twenty three remaining. Thirty four to
twenty seven. Wisconsin Wolf to the line, right lane, line
goes up and that's off the glass and rim.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
No good rebound.

Speaker 1 (51:06):
Comari McGhee and he got hit by Danny Wolfe. That's
three on Wolf. It was one of those days for
both teams. Wolf with that drive. Those are shots that
he's made most of the time.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
Miscits three of thirteen apps, three of thirteen on lambs.

Speaker 3 (51:25):
We've talked about that in some of Wisconsin's losses that
you know how they haven't been fishing on the lamps.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
Scott six of eleven but three of thirteen.

Speaker 1 (51:32):
Who Wolf on the bench holding back in. Here's Stephen
Krow left of the circle, hands off the Tanjay joneses
on him, John right lane line, pushed it up, missed
with a foul and john Tonjay will return to the
free throw line for two shots. Thirty four to twenty seven.
Wisconsin leeds Michigan with fourteen oh six remaining.

Speaker 3 (51:51):
It feels like Wisconsin's starting to control this game a
little bit. It's got that field now a little bit
not a not mister Jinks, all right, I'm just it's
just got a little bit of a feel like Wiscott's
gon to kind of put their thumb out a little
bit here and press.

Speaker 1 (52:07):
Will Cheddar call for that foul Tonjay splashes the first
free throw. Badgers have matched their biggest lead to this
game at eight points thirty five twenty seven, with fourteen
minutes and six seconds remaining. Shahn thirty two and seven
rebounds yesterday against Michigan State. Second free throw straight through

(52:29):
for Tanjay. Nine point lead for the Badgers, thirty six
twenty seven, coming up on fourteen minutes to play in Indianapolis.
Ruben Jones outside left, whoops of the Golden backing on
Krow midpost left out. The Gale turns to Jones a
lot of the circle, drives right lane, line throws it up,
hide off the glass and rim no good rebound Tonjay
forro Wisconsert. And here it comes John jogged it up

(52:51):
the floor right side of the front court. Three in
the air, back rim, no good rebound Gail. Here comes
Roddy Gale up the port for Michigan, throwing the Ruben
Jones finds Cheddar on the right wing, Cheddar backing on
Gilmour spinning. Gilmore knocked it away, but a foul is cold.
Ooh that ball, but body as well. That'll be the
first on Carter Gilmore, the fourth on Wisconsin. They'll see

(53:13):
Max Fleisman that Xavier Amas come in.

Speaker 3 (53:15):
I think Max is gonna get like it's just one
of those things where he's gonna get John Blackwell, but
didn't love that deep three by John Tanja.

Speaker 1 (53:23):
No, I just I just doesn't do it a lot, right,
he just trying to know.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
It doesn't do a lot.

Speaker 3 (53:27):
Maybe get going, but just every possession matters. You have
a chance to get a double digit lead.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
There there's Glad Golden right block against krowd turning a
double from Xavier Aims. Tough shot, left hand, no good,
good interior d clesbant the rebound.

Speaker 3 (53:41):
Wow can't Emphi says how well Wisconsin's rebounding the basketball.

Speaker 1 (53:45):
Here's Klesband driving right of the lane, whips it to McGee, bobbles,
gathers now, crowd fakes the three gale flies by Kamari
pass fake left drives off the left wing and the
lanes of the rim up high up, the glass. No
but a foul oh, Camari McGee with the take and
will Shedder animated after that call the old high knees.
Jeffrey Anderson started a look over to the red shirt Junior.

Speaker 3 (54:11):
I'll take it, you take it. I think it's pretty clean.
I think you might have got a might have got
a whistle there. Yeah, maybe that's all right. Yeah, Nope,
not complain.

Speaker 2 (54:21):
I could complain on complain on it.

Speaker 1 (54:23):
Three on shtter McGee at the foul line and he
makes the first his first point. Thirty seven, twenty seven, Wisconsin,
with thirteen eleven remaining, Gale comes out. Burnett is back
in in what's been a really physical game that has
that little little light. Yeah yeah, second free throw coming
up for Kamari. Seventy nine and a half percent of

(54:44):
the foul line made the first second rattles through thirty eight,
twenty seven, Wisconsin, thirteen ten remaining Madger fans up here
at Gayriusfield House. LJ. Cason sets the table for Michigan
McGee defending Atossa. Jones ops it back to Cason off
the golden screen. Kasin whips of the Cheddar open three

(55:04):
right side. Got it.

Speaker 3 (55:05):
They've had it every time. It's felt like Wisconsin's been
able to get a little distance.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
They've banged three thirty eight to thirty Wisconsin twelve forty
five to play a pass tough pass Cheddar is able
to tap it in a turnover for Wisconsin. Cason up
the floor for Michigan, right foul line, extended fans out
to the wing, kills the dribbled wants Golden not available,
He'll feed Jones instead top of the circle. They turn
it to Burnett clips the casin off the golden screen

(55:33):
case in another three not this time, Exavier amus the
rebound for Wisconsin. Twelve twenty to play. Badger's up eight
Tanjay to the front court off the krow screen Tanjay
leader at the foul line that thuds off the rim.
No good rebound casin for Michigan. With twelve ten to play,
thirty eight to thirty the Badgers, Cayson finds Vlad Golden
at the top of the ark. Golden backing on kraw

(55:57):
left lane line mid post, still backing left, powers it up.
Been in hell, Here comes Michigan thirty eight thirty two
Wisconsin with eleven minutes and fifty seconds to play. Now
the Michigan fans stir, Where's Xavier aim Is throwing to
Klesman outside left? Lesbond against Wilt Sheheddar a pass for

(56:17):
krow high on the right, feats Tanjay and a pump
and a foul called on Reuben Jones, and that'll get
us to the under twelve media timeout. Alan Jones is
his seconds. Hey, fans, don't miss a chance to preview
the twenty twenty five Badger football season and meet the
team at the Wisconsin Football Spring Showcase presented by the

(56:38):

at Camp Randall Stadium. Get your ticket information at UW
Badgers dot com. Eleven thirty eight remaining Wisconsin thirty eight,
Michigan thirty two. This is Badger basketball from lear Field.
Eleven minutes, thirty eight seconds remaining in this Big Ten
Championship game. Wisconsin leeves, Michigan thirty eight. Reuben Jones called

(57:01):
for foul a moment ago his third rather his second
team sixth and John tom Jay got a little looser
with that arm at elbow, but we let that let
that slide.

Speaker 3 (57:16):
That sixteen files Michigan in the half, which is a
big deal. You look at that, Wisconsin only has fourteen files.
Wisconsin six personal files total. In the game, John Jay on.

Speaker 1 (57:27):
The bench, you got McGhee, Klesbant, Blackwell, Winter and Gilmore
and bounced past the Winter checks by Golden Winser throwing
the McGhee high on the right, Camari off the screen,
ribbles right elbow, leans in tough shot off the rim
and out no good rebound.

Speaker 3 (57:43):
L J.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
Cason and he's running from Michigan up the middle front
court to the line down the lane. Euro Stepp got
fouled by Gilmore Cason, who has been a factor from
Michigan in this second half, and he'll be at the
line shooting two.

Speaker 3 (57:57):
That's what happens when you have your guard drive his deep.
Kamari McGee went there and then take a pretty difficult shot.
Excuse me now, none of your balance coming back in
transition is there. You've got Carter Gilmore just being there.
It's tough to confront without following.

Speaker 1 (58:13):
Caseon hits the first free throw, he has seven points.
He averages not quite for a game. Second free throw
on the way is good and Michigan is within four
thirty eight to thirty four. Wisconsin eleven twenty remaining a
seven point run. Now for the Wolverines. Carter Gilmore to
the front court, throwing to Nolan Winter Winster left with

(58:33):
a circle of hand off the Klesbant. He's with Jones
Klesbant shuffles off the wing, throws to Gilmore, raps up
the Blackwell high and the right. Blackwell dribbles off the
wing out the Winter three in the air left to
the circle, bangs off the rim. No good case of
the rebound. Badgers have gone cold again. He's neither hit
a bucket in the last four and a half minutes.
Ten fifty eight to play, four point lead Wisconsin. LJ.

(58:53):
Cason deliberately sets things up for the Wolverines. Blackwell defense
hasten out between the circles of the shacklock. At ten,
Cason left of the lane, drives through the lane out
the Jones wide open three right corner back Eyron. No
good rebound is secured by Cabari McGee. There's the Badgers again.
Hit the defensive glass. McGee right corner bobbles it gets

(59:16):
the back feeds gilboard for three up top. Not this
time Winter the offensive rebound out the Blackwells second chance
for the Badgers. Blackwell steps back ten twenty to play.
Thirty eight thirty four Wisconsin. McGee jab step in the
right wing, throwing to Gilmour Galey spin move kicks to
Max Bobbles. Ball is loose, Klesman runs it down left
wing now of the corner. Three in the air off

(59:37):
the rim. No good cheddar the rebound for Michigan. Mattenos
seven to play case and lead feed caught by Rubin
Jones left side. It's at the wilt sheeddar high in
the left. Ten minutes to play. Thirty eight thirty four,
Wisconsin Cason around the golden screen, picked up by McGee
who worked over that screen, now goes over it again.
Cason backing feeds Burnett between the circles. Tend to shoot

(59:59):
Burnette in the goal, but against Winster midpost left and
he gets fouled by Nolan Winster before the shot. That'll
be the first on Winster and number six on Wisconsin.
Winter comes out. Crawl is in Tom Jay will when
he entered for Kamari McGee. Bole teams have six fouls.
Now we have nine to forty six to play.

Speaker 3 (01:00:19):
And defensively, Wisconsin is still doing a great job rebounding
the basketball.

Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
They have to continue that by four in.

Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
Bounds, pass to Danny Woolfield, throw it at Tray Donaldson
back in there, tries a three and it's short. No good.
Wolf trying to get the rebound, could not. It's off
his hands, out of bounds.

Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
But it's been those little plays like that's an offensive
rebound that Danny Wolf should have had.

Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
Cory Gilmour gets his hand in there, just to not
get loose a little bit. Possession.

Speaker 1 (01:00:43):
Wisconsin thirty eight to thirty four. Wisconsin, with nine and
a half minutes to play, Kroll outside right, turns it
back out to Gilmour. He'll flip the Blackwell baseline left,
driving on Burnette and the lane and he has fouled
and now worked from Blackwell getting inside. They'll get Namari
Burnett his first team seventh, and Blackwell will be at

(01:01:07):
the line to shoot two.

Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
Yeah, they're good.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
I was gonna say that I was. I was watching
that because I didn't know if they had it on
the ground or not. It was at the ground, it
still was gonna be free throws, but it was gonna
be bonus.

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
And that is the case. Blackwell gets two shots. Badger's
up four nine to twenty five to play. First free
throw is good. Fourteen for Blackwell today, That's what he
had yesterday against Michigan State. He averages fifteen and a
half a game.

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
It's Wisconsin's twelfth free throw and Michigan only has a
shot two so far in the game.

Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
Man Blackwell hits them both forty to thirty four Wisconsin.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
And the reason I bring it up is you could
tell Wisconsin's been more physical.

Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
They've attacked Tray Donaldson throwing a Wolf high of the rights,
Wolf left handril to the top of the circle. Crowd offense,
Wolf directing traffic for Michigan with fifteen of the chakla,
you'll throw at the gold and he's with Gilmore Golden
backing mid post right, Golden in the lane, turns, flips
at left hand back iron, No good raybound battlefort Golden
has it not to weigh by Blackwell and Crow is

(01:02:07):
there for Wisconsin. I think Gilmore got a run over.
They'll play on. Here's Blackwell front court for Wisconsin. Gilmore
high on the left throwing the crow, Steven on the
right side. Well, they're really into Tanjay has the ball now.
Stats back. He got opened for three back of the rim,
no good rebound tray Donaldson for Michigan with a forty
to play forty to thirty four Wisconsin. Donaldson outside ride

(01:02:31):
driving on Klesban and got fouled by Max. That'll be
team found numbers seven on Wisconsin, the first on Klesman
and Donaldson a sixty eight percent free throw shooter at
the line for the one and one. Jack Janicki checking
in for Klesband will Cheddar will come back in for
Vlad Golden eight thirty five remaining forty to thirty four Wisconsin.

Speaker 3 (01:02:54):
This sub bike grave to get Jack in here. It's
there's eight thirty five on the clock. You're looking a
couple of possessions until you get to the under eight.
That's exactly what Greg's trying to do here.

Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
Donaldson at the foul line, sixty eight percent shooter. One
in one is good, he'll earn the bonus first point
of the game for Trey Donaldson. He averages eleven and
a half second free throw coming up with the junior
out of Tallahassee, Florida, and that's straight down the middle.

(01:03:27):
Forty to thirty six Wisconsin, final eight and a half
minutes of this Big Ten Tournament championship game. Gilmore throwing
a tanja. Here's John out the crow high on the rights,
Raw hands off to Jenicki off the crow screen, Jack
whips at the Gilmore turns the left wing for Blackwell.
John dribbles off the wing shot clock at ten. Blackwell

(01:03:48):
retreats wolf defenning Blackwell for three straight on and it
rattles in for John Blackwell. Big three there, Forty three
thirty six, Wisconsin.

Speaker 2 (01:03:57):
He's been really good today.

Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
Trey Donaldson off the wolf screen on the lane, push
it up, tough shot, NA, but they'll get a foul
on Gilmore. Ooh, that's three on Gilly and the Wolverines
go back to the free throw line with eight h
two to play. Forty three thirty six, Wisconsin.

Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
That three by job was just I mean, there was
not much going on in that offensive possession.

Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
He just created it.

Speaker 1 (01:04:23):
Donaldson shooting two, He made two a moment ago. First
free throw will bounce in for him. Forty three thirty seven, Wisconsin.
Donaldson the second one coming up two years with Bruce
Pearl's Auburn Tigers and now with Dusty Man and the

(01:04:45):
Michigan Wolverines as Donaldson hits them both forty three thirty
eight the Badgers eight minutes remaining. Blackwell left hand ribble
front court, trying to turn it left of the lane,
throwing to Crow Feeds Gilmour high on the right. Is
it up to gen So Nicky top of the circle,
tosses the Krow outside left, Wiltsheddar with a tight defense
Kraw It's at the Tanja nine to shoot Tonjay trying

(01:05:09):
to go barely down the lane, got fouled by Burnett.
Tonjay will shoot two more. We're at the under eight
media timeout before we throw to a commercial break. Let's
pause ten seconds for station identification, ten for an ID.

(01:05:54):
John Tonjay has not had a field goal in this game.

Speaker 3 (01:05:56):
So what do you do?

Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
You attack and he'll be back at the faub line
with he continues. He has four points today, we have
seven thirty nine remaining. Wisconsin leechs Michigan forty three to
thirty eight.

Speaker 3 (01:06:07):
I think that's the thing with this group why they've
been special, because they understand the movement, like John can
continue to jack or just put the shoulder down go
to the basket. I don't think he was going to
get the call until Burnett reached out, and once he
did that, you got a call. So you continue to

(01:06:27):
put pressure and know that it's going to be a
physical game and just keep attacking in those moments. You know,
he said twelve free throw attemps for Wisconsin. Now Michigan
has six because a couple filed calls on the other end.
But still Wisconsin has been the more physical team. They've
done a great job rebounding the basketball. That's why they're

(01:06:48):
sitting in this position of five.

Speaker 1 (01:06:50):
Badgers are eleven of twelve at the line, and Michigan
has made all six of its attempts. Ton Jay gets
two more. Here, the Badger's up by five. First free
throw for Tanjay is good. Plusman back in there for Wisconsin, Blackwell,

(01:07:11):
Kraw and Gilmore. Second free throw for Tanjay eyes the
rim clips it, hits it forty five thirty eights Wisconsin
seven thirty eight's remaining in this championship game. Danny Wolf
brings it up with the Wolverines, gets it to Donaldson.
Donaldson right of the paints, hurls into the lane, darts
it back out the cheddar. He'll try a three. It's good.

(01:07:34):
He'll cheddar his second three. Forty five forty one Wisconsin
seven to twenty remaining. Parter Gilmore throwing the klusband high
on the left, Max darts through krow outside rights. Crow
will hand off to Tonjay, John against Golden bounce past
the krow with Scheddar defending single coverage, crowd back being

(01:07:54):
back a white block up right hand, Nope, rebound Wolf
for Michigan. Seven minutes to play. Here's Trey Donaldson, Badgers
up by four. Donaldson weaving right Leyland pass deflected by Gilmore,
Carter trying to keep it alive and it's rolling down
the floor and went off at shutter and Carter Gilmore
makes another big defensive play. It'll be Wisconsin, Bault.

Speaker 3 (01:08:14):
It's amazing what effort does, right. You stole the possession.
It's exactly what happened there. He stole the possession.

Speaker 1 (01:08:21):
Six fifty remaining forty five forty one Wisconsin. On a
day where neither team can shoot straight. Look, the Badgers
have a four point lead. Tonjay left sideline in bounds
to blackwellth throwing to Gilmore high on the ride. A
toss to klesband ride wing, Max steps back open three
off the back of the rim. No good. Burnett the rebound.

(01:08:44):
Six thirty eight to play. Forty five forty one Wisconsin.
Burnette outside left with Tanjay on him. A throw to
Donaldson at the center circle off the golden screen. Donaldson
left laneline and a wolf gathers low on the left
and the layup is good.

Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
Somebody may lay up. Yeah, right, it's been It's just
been one of those games.

Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
Forty five forty three Wisconsin, six to twenty remaining Parter
Gilmour throwing to Blackwell outside left, Blackwell out the Gilly
makes the three. Gilmore at the top. Gilmore lies to
the right side, hands off the Klesbic Max with twelve
to shoot up, passed to Tanjay Tanjay against Burnett, Tonja
at the top. Tonja right lane line goes to the

(01:09:23):
goal high off the last no chance Wolf the rebound
five point fifty five to play. Michigan down two. With
the ball Wolf to the line, Wolf spinning in the lane,
clipped it up, tie game forty five, all with five
minutes and forty five seconds to play. Badge's gonna use
it time out here as Blackwell breaks the midstrive time
out Wisconsin seven point run for Michigan. This will be

(01:09:46):
a full time out. We'll take a break. Five minutes
and forty two seconds remaining Wisconsin forty five, Michigan forty five.
This is Badger basketball from lear Field. Michigan has scored
the last secon seven points. Meanwhile, the Badgers have missed
eleven of the last twelve shots. Five minutes and forty
two seconds to play, Wisconsin and Michigan are now tied

(01:10:09):
at forty five.

Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
And right now the way Wisconsin shooting the basketball, there
are the open shots because Michigan right now is saying
you're gonna have to knock down a three to beat us.
We're gonna switch all the screening actions. So they've been
switching those. They've been going underscreen. So the three point
shot is there. It's gonna be this simple. Ken Wisconsin
knocked down a three. Yeah, it really is, and it

(01:10:31):
is now. Defensively, they need to be engaged a little bit.
They've let Michigan get some easy buckets and that's why
Michigan's got going back to back layups.

Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
They gave up. They've got to stay tight.

Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
This is one of those things where Wisconsin defensively at
times has gotten spread out.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
They've got to stay tight make Michigan knock down to three.

Speaker 3 (01:10:49):
But the way Michigan's guarding those shots that you've been taking,
they're the correct shots.

Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
You just gotta drill one.

Speaker 1 (01:10:55):
Ton Jay will end bound sideline right front court and
an Old and winch Are hands off to Blackwell with
Donaldson getting up into him. I passed for kraw at
the top. Prow will hand off the Klesbic Max left
of the circle against Golden to the line, kicks it out.
Winter feats Tanjay baseline right, Donaldson trying to prilers Tanja

(01:11:16):
or that roughed up a little bit, gets the pass
back from winter Tonjay out the right wing in the lane.
One Bumfalo on the left goes up, got foul. We're
a little running back action there from john Tonjay again,
I think that was on Burnett. That will be his
third five nineteen to play in john Tonjay back of
the free throw line.

Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
And I think he used the right term. There a
little running back action. I'm gonna be completely honest with you.
I think that's a another favor for Wisconsin. There there's
a first physical as it's been right.

Speaker 1 (01:11:45):
First free throw for Tanja, he left it short, his
first miss after making six in a row. Second one
coming up for Tonjay tied at forty five. Second went
on of the way and that is good.

Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
But when you're aggressive, that's when you get a call.
Yes see keep it and that's what they've Wisconsin has
been really good.

Speaker 1 (01:12:10):
At that forty six, forty five. The Badger's five point
fifteen remaining Danny Wolf outside left against Nolan winter Howl's
the dribble us it up to Burnett. He's with Klesband
around a Wolf screen left wing, throwing a wolf left
of the wheel, wolf a step back three for the lead.
It's off the rim nogad rebound. Tanjay Good walks out
of Cheddar belt four point fifty five remaining forty six

(01:12:34):
forty five Wisconsin. Blackwell to the front court high screen crow,
Blackwell using it again, moving to his right, Lesa for
Winster high on the right. Short pass to Klesban at
top of the circle. Now is Max Boun's past the
krow in some traffic out there to Tanjay eight to shoot.
Tanjay drives by Cheddar goes to the golf slam dunk
Tanja with a two hand dunk. Forty eight forty five, Wisconsin,

(01:12:56):
with four and a half minutes remaining.

Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
Great read because Cheddar couldn't I stay in front of
John Tanji on that play.

Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
First field goal of the day for Tonjay Trey Donaldson
up top gold in the screen, Donaldson moving left Folin
instead it feeds. Burnett fires a three left quarter. It's
good Namori. Burnett ties the game at forty eight, four
to twelve remaining. Blackwell throwing the nole in the winter
between the circles. Winter gives it the Tonjay John on

(01:13:24):
the right side, Tonja being crowded by Wolf Now Krow
left of the circle. PLEASBI will come and get it.
Max left of the lane, out the Krow open three
left of the circle money Steven Krow for three four
fifty one forty eight Wisconsin And that.

Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
Was the shot you gotta hit. We just talked about it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:43):
Three forty five remaining in this Big Ten Tournament Championship game.
Burnette outside left throwing the Donaldson between the circles off
the golden screen. Donaldson weaving right lane, Line pushed it
up and it rattles through off the window. At a
timeout taken by Michigan, as the Wolverines are within one
three thirty one remaining Wisconsin fifty one, Michigan fifty and

(01:14:10):
at the under four this will be a full timeout,
so we'll take a break three thirty one to play
Badger's fifty one Wolverines fifty. This is Badger of Basketball

Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
What do you expect, Chorpionship Sunday.

Speaker 4 (01:14:48):
Nothing's easy, boy, nothing's easy whether they win or lose
it like obviously, but the last two games have been
March games, yes, and there hasn't been a lot of.

Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Tho this year. You're right, so yeah, no matter what
you take away.

Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
It's experienced that you have for next week and hopefully
the following weeks because they haven't really played in a
lot of them.

Speaker 1 (01:15:12):
Meanwhile, Michigan has lived in these games correct yet very true,
twelve and four in games decided by five points or fewer,
eleven and one in Big Ten games, including that three
point win in Madison back into.

Speaker 3 (01:15:24):
Absolutely and they have lived in it. But I've been
present for one of them is that they lost. So
I'm gonna go with a little mojo there we go, right,
But it's been a it's been a good college basketball
I mean, yes, there's been a lot of misshots.

Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
There's been a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:15:37):
It's been extremely physical, but the kids have kids players
have made plays, and that's what you want to see.
That's why this league is the best. There's a round,
that's why you go to Wisconsin to playing games like
this and have a moment to make a play. And
you know, we've seen it both sides, but we've seen it.

Speaker 1 (01:15:56):
Both teams are in the bonus. The next Michigan foul
has Wisconsin in the double bonus. Wisconsin has the possession arrow.
Both teams have two timeouts available, three minutes thirty one
seconds to play. Wisconsin fifty one, Michigan fifty. Wolverinees thirty
two percent for the field. The Badger is a little
better than twenty five percent. That's it. Here comes Blackwell

(01:16:19):
up the floor zone.

Speaker 2 (01:16:21):
Here by miss they are ton.

Speaker 1 (01:16:23):
Jay to Blackwell as they get organized offensively. Klesman Now
they've gone man yep zone for about two passes fifteen
to shoot Clesman out between the circles. Bounces the Kraal
at the top, crowl against Cheddar, a hand off to
Tonjay John looking to go to work. Cheddar defending Now
you'll get at the crowd back to Tanja four to
shoot John right side. Bobbles got it back right baseline,

(01:16:45):
tough shot, missed it short rebound. Winter could not control
out of bounds to Michigan with two fifty eight to play.

Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
I was really in hoping that'd be under two minutes
because they could have got a looking I'm not a
big fan of review, but it is kind of.

Speaker 1 (01:16:59):
It was a tight one, just under three minutes to play.
Gilmore in for Winter two fifty eight, remaining fifty one
to fifty Wisconsin. I guess you can really de end
up on that last possession. Yet again, here comes Donaldson
for the Wolverines. You'll slow jogging through the center circle.
Blackwell there to greet him. Donaldson at the edge of

(01:17:19):
the center circle. Now on the move, hardscreen Golden Donaldson
pass goes through the hands of Golden. They're gonna get
a foul here on Carter Gilmore. Brian Dorsey on the
call as that pass whistled through Golden's hands. That'll be
team found number nine on Wisconsin. With two minutes and

(01:17:41):
forty three seconds to play, in Vlad Golden a seventy
three percent free throw shooter at the line for a
one on one. They actually called that on Blackwell. I
believe one in one for Golden is in and out.
No good. Blackwell the rebound to forty to play fifty
one to fifty Wisconsin again showing zone again to start

(01:18:01):
this possession. Blackwell sizes it up. He'll throw to Tanja
high on the right, loops to Krow right corner two
thirty to play Blackwell outside right Fias Klesman three shot
right corner off the rim. Though tanj offensive rebound double
team tried to muscle it up, got blocked fits out
of bounds. Last touch by Michigan was seventeen to shoot.

Speaker 3 (01:18:21):
Great set out against the zone to get the double
screen in because Michigan did Chraine to.

Speaker 2 (01:18:27):
Go man and man Max hit a wide open shot.

Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
To twenty one to play fifty one p fifty Wisconsin.
Seventeen on the shot clock. Blackwell inbounds to Krow, feeds
Gilmore high in the right. Gil Moore won dribble, gives
it up the Klusman. He's with a wolf ten to shoot.
Plesband feeds Blackwell open three right at the circle. It
is in and out no good rebound. Golden for Michigan.
Another good look, couldn't get it down coming up on

(01:18:54):
two minutes to play. Badger's up one Donaldson high in
the right. Two minutes to play fifty one to fifty
concert Donaldson between the circles, hardscreen Golden Donaldson for three.
It's good. Trey Donaldson gives Michigan a fifty three fifty
one lead. One forty eight to play. Klesman high on
the right, throwing the crow out between the yarks. Crowd

(01:19:15):
tosses to Gilmore one forty to play Gilmore for tan
Jay right side Seoan for three. It's off the red mill.
Good crowd backtaps, it's loose and Plesman got fouled. I
believe the call. I think against Donaldson, who popped Klesband
with a minute thirty four remaining. Badgers are in the
double bonus now down by two fifty three point fifty one,

(01:19:39):
and what a.

Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
Play by Max just to create another possession.

Speaker 3 (01:19:43):
They've done a great job of creating extra possessions for themselves.
The last three by John. I know what he's trying
to do. We've seen this a couple times. At end
the game. He's still gotta try to turn that.

Speaker 1 (01:19:53):
Corner Pleasmid will shoot two Badgers down two with a
minute thirty four play first free throw for Max on
the way money. He has eleven points today and foul
on Donaldson.

Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
His fourth.

Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
Second free throw coming up for Klesban he will try
to tie the game with a minute thirty four to
play second free throw for Max. It's good. Tied at
fifty three, ninety four seconds remaining in this Big Ten
Tournament championship game. And Trey Donaldson, yesterday's star at the buzzer,

(01:20:31):
hit a three a moment ago brings it up the
floor for the Wolverines. One twenty five to play. Blackwell
defending a screen from Golden Donaldson right of the lane,
brings it back out, whips the cheddar open three right
of the circle, off the rooven out, No good, the
rebound tapped out of bounds. They'll say touch by Wisconsin.
But now at under two minutes they'll review it correct
yep one seventeen remaining tied at fifty three. It's a

(01:20:56):
video review and a free time out both sides.

Speaker 2 (01:20:58):
Both teams have had open looks.

Speaker 1 (01:21:00):
For three oh Cordeous gold possession that players on the
further the game that was a wide open look. We
most teams have had it. It was Krow and Golden
going after it. And it looks like last touch by
Crow there. Yep, it seems pretty.

Speaker 3 (01:21:31):
It's clear, absolutely, but it's a bonus time out here
that you get. And now wiscons you gotta you've been
fantastic on the defensive side as far as rebounding the basketball,
they have, We really have.

Speaker 2 (01:21:44):
So you've got to continue here.

Speaker 1 (01:21:47):
Full possession. So will be Michigan ball. With a minute
seventeen to play, shot block at twenty tied it fifty three.

Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
You've got to continue to get bodies, Yes, locate bodies.
Even threes are going to be low rebounds. Make sure
you carve out space. Michigan. The last couple of possessions
they've gone with what's called the wild an Iverson cut
over and then if trying to get Burnett for a
wide open three. So they've got to stay attached to
Burnett as mur as well.

Speaker 1 (01:22:14):
Burnett a forty three point shooter. He's two for three today.
Donaldson's sideline left the linbound and and Danny Wolf outside
left him at fifteen to play wolf ees. Burnette throws
it back to the Wolf top of the circle. One
tend to play. Here's Wolf left laye, I passed, deflected
by Gilmour. It's loose and Wolf trying to run it
down out of bounds. Michigan ball. And they'll review that,
review it again. Nine on the shot clock, one o

(01:22:35):
six on the game clock. Replay critics, we'll be t
and off, be very loud, got Carter Gilmour. Another good
play got into flesh as Wolf was trying to get golden.
It looked like it was off of Blackwell last on
that court to his gold possession.

Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
It's preferred on the the.

Speaker 1 (01:22:53):
Dat the mild mannered voice of Brian Dorsey there certainly
appeared Wolf tapped it and then looked like Blackwell got
a piece as well. Or it's John. Yeah, it's it's
left John got it.

Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
Yeah, Yeah, it's gonna be Michigan ball again. Now there's
nine on the clock, no possession.

Speaker 1 (01:23:17):
There, call on the floor was Michigan basketball. So you
need indisputable video evidence that.

Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
I think this one shows up Pepestus. We're looking at
his hand the last one. It's Michigan ball. Now, nine
seconds left and this should be a pretty quick one
if they go with this.

Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
Nine seconds on the shot clock.

Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
This is a situation where at times you've seen Wisconsin
go one three one, we've just go.

Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
Man in my opinion right now, yeah, like it's just.

Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
One of those stick to what has kind of got
you here, you know what you want and guard and
then close out the possessions.

Speaker 1 (01:23:52):
Would use taking a little time here. There's a peer
to us that Blackwell last touched it. We have been
wrong before, however, one O six to play, nine to
shoot cal McCoys.

Speaker 3 (01:24:10):
It did go to my eye doctor two weeks ago. Yeah,
you know, three weeks go, I got wrong. I did
get I got it.

Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
You know twenty you have a.

Speaker 1 (01:24:17):
Good eye doctor. Absolutely all right. Nine to shoot, one
O six to play Wisconsin in Michigan's out of fifty
three fifty three, fifty three, Marii Burnett sideline right well
in bound you know, watch and Steve it gets it back.
They'll throw it back court to Donaldson. Eighth to shoot
Donaldson high screen, golden, Donaldson stops feeds Burnett. Four to

(01:24:38):
shootte against crowd, Donaldson two to shoot with one Donaldson
top three and it clipped the window. Good well, if
had the rebound lost it then it went off of
Gilbour and out of bounds. Now the officials you got
Jeffrey Anderson and Keith Kimball and they're gonna review that again.
With fifty four points six to play, it looked livelow

(01:25:00):
Wolf had it, lost it and then it went off
the foot of Gilmore. So in Michigan will get an
extended possession again. This is this should be real quick here, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:25:15):
Like I get I love this game so much, man,
I love it. But this is where we're wrong. Yes,
this part like and if you're the officials, it's there.
You have to you have to do that, like, you
have to go through this process. But this is where
as a sport we're wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:25:32):
Almost wonder and I've heard it suggested that maybe you
give a coach a.

Speaker 2 (01:25:38):
Challenge then, But like, these guys are really good.

Speaker 3 (01:25:44):
As much as we want to complain about the officials,
these guys are really good.

Speaker 2 (01:25:48):
They've gotten all three correct right away.

Speaker 1 (01:25:51):
Yeah, they're doing right now these views. This is what
they're this is supposed to do.

Speaker 3 (01:25:54):
And as a player, it's taken away all the chemistry,
it's taken away, all the momentum, it's taken all the
rhythm is confirmed.

Speaker 1 (01:26:01):
So first, so now Michigan will have eighteen on the
shot clock, fifty four point six on the game clock.
It remains Michigan fifty three, Wisconsin fifty three, and the
Wolverines will be inbounding baseline left. It will be Donaldson
throwing it in with John Blackwell in his face. Donaldson

(01:26:22):
loops at the wolf high in the left wolf against
Gilmore into Golden. Fifty seconds. Golden backing on crowd left block,
trying to muscle it up right hand. Missed it, but
a foul. Don't get Stephen Krow. That'll be his third
forty six point six seconds to.

Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
Play as a big.

Speaker 3 (01:26:40):
I've always hated that there's so much contact there by both,
Bye bye both.

Speaker 1 (01:26:46):
You got glad.

Speaker 2 (01:26:47):
He's backing down still he's trying to hold the ground.

Speaker 1 (01:26:49):
I I well, they're not much there.

Speaker 2 (01:26:52):
No.

Speaker 1 (01:26:52):
Golden missed a free throw a moment ago. He shoots two.
He is good with the first fifty four to fifty
three Michigan forty six point six seconds to play. That's
the eighth point for Golden. His or may I take
check that he has ten points here, seven coming in
the first half. Second free throw is airborne good and

(01:27:14):
Ruben Jones will come in fifty five fifty three Michigan.
Jones in for Cheddar forty six point six seconds to
play two point lead Michigan. Here's John Blackwell up the
floor for the Badgers with forty five seconds in counting
Jones waiting on a Blackwell up a high screen from crowd.
Blackwell tried to get it to Gilmore. It's deflect it

(01:27:35):
out of bounds thirty nine point six to play twenty
three to shoot.

Speaker 2 (01:27:38):
Again the way Michigan's guard you your three is gonna
be there a great time.

Speaker 1 (01:27:43):
Thanks, yeah, Grey Guards taking a time out thirty nine
point six seconds to play Michigan fifty five Wisconsin fifty three.

Speaker 3 (01:27:51):
And what I was gonna say is the three is
going to be there, but it's also going to be
there at the end of the clock too. You've got
to probe, you've got to try to break the you've
got to try to get something going to the rim.
Michigan just got a file call. So that, as crazy
as it is, that does play a factor. If you
go in there, you drive hard, you expect the same

(01:28:11):
call they know they just called one down there, especially
if there's contact and there's been contact for a lot
of part of this game. If you don't get that,
you'll still have to spray out. You'll still have a
three based on the way that Michigan's guarding everything, so
you still can get that. Look, there's twenty three on
the clock, thirty nine seconds left, so do not settle.
After a whole bunch of basketball lingo there pretty much

(01:28:32):
just don't settle for the first three.

Speaker 2 (01:28:34):
Yeah, try to work it. Then get the.

Speaker 1 (01:28:35):
Football teams in a double bonus. Guard has one time
out left, Michigan has two. Tanja sideline lefts front court
will in bound with Burnett's up in his grill, Tonja
looking throwing to Gilmour. Hands are back to Tanja at
the top. Tanjy driving right lane line and the fade
away is short. No good rad about going in and

(01:28:58):
it's not the way tanj went out of bounds off
of Golden. With thirty point nine seconds to play, we're
probably going to review, and I think this time it'll
go Wisconsin's way. We'll have our fourth video review in
the final two minutes, thirty point nine seconds to play,
fifty five to fifty three Michigan and there's John Tanjay

(01:29:21):
with those active hands. There's Golden secured the rebound and
it went off the right leg of Golden. It should
be Wisconsin ball. With thirty point nine remaining, Michigan leading
fifty five to fifty three. A rare rough day here

(01:29:44):
for John Tanjay one of fourteen from the field, but
he's seven of eight at the foul line. Paul is
confirmed it's Wisconsin basketball.

Speaker 2 (01:29:56):
And like we've said now, we've gone to four reviews.

Speaker 1 (01:29:59):
Yeah, think grant yes to another free time out for
both seconds shot clock basically possession. So the shot clock
is at twenty thirty point nine of the game clock.
Michigan fifty five, Wisconsin fifty three. Andrews have not had

(01:30:20):
a field goal for nearly three and a half minutes. Blackwell,
baseline right will throw it in looking in a ton.
Jay fakes with three drives off the wing and the
lane pivots feeds. Blackwell cuts off the right wing in
the lane to the room, throws it up, miss it.
Rebound tip gathered by Donaldson, bodies on the floor. They
play on burnette with nineteen seconds loose to Danny Wolf

(01:30:44):
Wolf throwing a job. You got to feel somebody and
it's Donaldson, who's a sixty eight percent foul shooter, with
fourteen point three seconds to play, and Michigan leads by
two man. It was a great take.

Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
It was a layup like it was a great take
by Wisconsin. Great take by John. We've seen John make
this lay up so many times. It's a tough one.

Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
Trey Donaldson at the foul line today is four to four.
He has nine points, eight assists, fourteen point three seconds
to play. First free throw good, It's fifty six fifty
three Michigan, and one more free throw coming up for Donaldson,

(01:31:30):
trying to make this a two possession game. Second attempt
airborne and it rolls in fifty seven fifty three Michigan.
Here's Blackwell in a hurry down to ten seconds. Blackwell
left of the lane, stops mid range jumper short. It's
been that kind of day out the Blackwell four second shooting,
get three airball, wolf catches, and the Michigan Wolverines are

(01:31:53):
the Big Ten tournament champions. Actually, there was a foul
cold with zero point seven seconds to play. It's all
academic now. Twenty two percent shooting for the field for Wisconsin.
Here this afternoon Danny Wolf will step to the foul line,

(01:32:22):
He'll shoot two. He has but six points today. And
this Michigan team, we have said it. They have had
one close game after another and they tend to win them.
First free throw rolls in for Wolf, fifty eight to
fifty three. The Wolverines two games against Michigan two could

(01:32:49):
have shot us. Second free throw for Wolf is good.
Fifty nine to fifty three Michigan, and that will be
your final score here in Indianapolis. Michigan wins the Big
Ten Tournament championship.

Speaker 3 (01:33:07):
And it was time I mean timely threes by Michigan,
and Wisconsin did have that lead. It seemed Mike Michigan
had a three and we talked about it early in
the game. They were timely threes by Michigan that kept
kept them.

Speaker 1 (01:33:20):
Innute and a lot of blanks fired by Wisconsin toe
in a low scoring game. Though, to got to give
Michigan credit. You fall behind eleven in a game like this,
which Michigan did in the second half. Yes, a lot
of time remaining with a game in the fifties, you
can rally from eleven down in the second half. You
deserve a lot of credit for that and now for

(01:33:42):
the Badgers, it's about rest, recovery, find out their draw,
and get ready for the NCAA Tournament. Final score Michigan
fifty nine, Wisconsin fifty three. We're back with the Wisconsin
Fort Dealer's postgame show. This is Badger basketball from lear Field,
a game where somebody just had to find a way

(01:34:02):
and neither team shot at a lick this afternoon. Michigan
thirty two percent, but that was a lot better than
Wisconsin's twenty two percent. Nine to thirty three from Michigan,
but a lot of those nine makes from three were very,
very timely when Wisconsin was on the edge of really
getting separation. LJJ Cason hitting a couple of threes, Will
Cheddar a couple of threes, But bottom line, Wisconsin just

(01:34:26):
could not find the basket here two of their last fourteen,
oh of their last nine that kind of day shooting
the ball as Michigan wins it here fifty nine to
fifty three. Yeah, you mentioned it, you know you Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:34:40):
LJ. Cason drills a couple of threes. You look at
what he did prior to that.

Speaker 3 (01:34:46):
It just it was timely, and Michigan's been in a
lot of these games, and I think, I just it's
it's one that I'll be honest, it hurts me. So
I can only imagine what it feels like in that
locker room because I'm just I did not see it
coming there. I felt them really have a great control
of where they were at. I said, they did give

(01:35:07):
up when you look at it defensively, the back to
back layups that they gave when it was hard to
find yes buckets. I thought my kind of was a
turning point as well, but they they you know, you
gotta give misign credit. But this one, this one, this
one's different than last year. Both games extremely close, but

(01:35:27):
the Illinois lost in the Big Ten Championship last year
feels different than this one.

Speaker 1 (01:35:32):
This one. Yeah, that was Illinois was so good offensively
in the correct season and last season, and Wisconsin was
matching them until the last couple of minutes. Both of
these games against Michigan, you feel like you could have
had the game in Madison and then obviously today even
though it was hard to think that anybody was really

(01:35:53):
taking control but the Badgers. But when they went up eleven,
they were a little boy than thirteen minutes to place
there was a lot of basketball ahead, but in a
day where scoring was minimal, you had to feel reasonably
good for Wisconsin. But you go fifteen to sixty eight,
seven to thirty nine from the three point line, if
you find a way to win on that kind of day,

(01:36:14):
my goodness. Now, well we'll pick up on the point
because the big shore for Wisconsin, this one's gonna sting.
But they can't let it sting for long because this
is a turn the page moment of the season. With
the NCAA Tournament selection show about to begin, Michigan wins
it here today and takes the Big Ten Tournament championship
over the Wisconsin Badgers fifty nine to fifty three. More

(01:36:37):
of our Wisconsin Ford Dealers postgame shows coming up. This
is Badger Basketball from lear Field. Our Wisconsin Ford Dealers
postgame show continues as Michigan scores the game's final six points,
excuse me, scores the final six points and defeating Wisconsin
fifty nine to fifty three. And now, Brian. For the Badgers,

(01:36:58):
it is about rest recovery. When we last year they
played four games in four days. They had guys who
were really banged up, and I don't think that's the
case this time. But man, when you get this close,
it's hard to do that. You know, you never had to.
You were three games in three days. Ye, but you
gotta get yourself regrouped and may very well be playing

(01:37:22):
close to home. But you played really well here. You
just you shit at all today, But you played extremely
well in this conference tournament.

Speaker 3 (01:37:32):
You did, and I think you got some really good wins.
And you've got to feel confident in the way that
you're playing. Even today. You didn't shoot it well, but
it's a tie game with forty nine seconds or forty
six seconds left of this game, and uh, you know,
you just they made a play.

Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
You didn't make a play that. Yeah, it just so
it goes your way.

Speaker 1 (01:37:54):
I mean to.

Speaker 3 (01:37:56):
Sit here and say you make seven threes in Michigan
makes nine, you'd say, well, it's a probably ten point game.

Speaker 1 (01:38:03):
Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
Yeah, it was a toy gay with forty six seconds left.
Everything he needed was in front of you, and it
just you know, so you do take away. Now it's rest,
and now it's you get back. You quickly get back
to a room I've been on this side as a player.
Quickly get back to a room and this hurts. This
hurts a lot, but now you figure out where you're

(01:38:26):
gonna play, who you're gonna play, and it's got to
change the mentality and it's it's a quick change here.

Speaker 1 (01:38:32):
Got to give credit to Michigan too. We've talked about
the open looks that Wisconsin had in this game, but
you hold an all American caliber player to John Tanjay
who missed thirteen or fourteen shots. He tried to attack.
He got to the free throw line, went seven of
eight there. But you know, he had some clean looks

(01:38:53):
that that cannot be denied. But Michigan was doing a
few things pretty well too.

Speaker 3 (01:38:57):
What they they defensively, they were really guard and making
it very difficult. They were very physical in everything they
were doing. This was an extremely physical game. Yep, it was,
and I think it's one of that. I thought they
really did a good job of fighting through it. I'm
playing through the contact.

Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
It really came down.

Speaker 3 (01:39:15):
I mean he said, John Blackin's got a lay up
and there was a lot of contact on that.

Speaker 2 (01:39:20):
It's one that John makes.

Speaker 3 (01:39:21):
If there's anybody on the Badger team that I want
going to the basket knowing there's gonna be a lot
of contact.

Speaker 1 (01:39:27):
Absolutely, that's the guy that I want. Yep, it really is.

Speaker 2 (01:39:31):
So it's the look you wanted, it's the option you wanted.
It just didn't drop.

Speaker 1 (01:39:37):
And Michigan ends up with a tournament championship trophy. And
as for the Badgers, they fall short for the second
consecutive year. But they played really well in Minneapolis last year.
That did not translate. Let's see what happens this year
with a team that I think is more talented. It
is certainly deeper and fifty three today, they average eighty

(01:39:59):
a game, So see if they can just get back
on track here beginning later this week wherever that may be.
And selfishly, we're very much rooting for Milwaukee, but we'll
find out that mystery will end very shortly. When we continue,
we'll check out the Nissan out of Town scoreboard. Back
in the moment, this is a Badge basketball from lear Field.

(01:40:21):
Postgame report continues as Michigan defeats Wisconsin this afternoon fifty
nine to fifty three to win the Big Ten Tournament title.
Other games going on today CC Tournament champions are the
Florida Gators. They defeat Tennessee eighty six to seventy seven
and Memphis takes the American Athletic Conference Turney title with

(01:40:43):
an eighty four to seventy two win against UAB. Seem
to be very few, if any bid Steelers this season.
You're watching some of the other conferences where some teams
that was their ticket to get in was try to
steal one in some conference tournaments. Well, again, the guessing game,
which is a big part of fandom of this sport.

(01:41:05):
But we're going to start to get the answers here,
and I would think the Badgers are in position to
get a get a good seat. Yeah, if you If
that's all, that's the next question is I was talking
to to folks this morning. You know, you have contingencies
when you played late. If this, then that. But there
seemed to be a feeling talking to people here, but
you don't know if you have the same vibe that

(01:41:26):
in terms of seating and the rest, this game was
going to have no bearing.

Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
This game was for the confetti. Yep, that's what this game.
It was for the trophy of the confetti. That was
it and that's just that's where it's at. I think
that the one team in the Big Ten right now
that's sweating for ten minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:41:43):
Is Indiana. That's the team that's sweating right now.

Speaker 1 (01:41:46):
Are they in?

Speaker 2 (01:41:46):
Are they not? The rest of it I think is
pretty much put in place.

Speaker 1 (01:41:50):
Yeah, there's some Again, it's the people who cover this
sport and look at it much more from a national perspective.
There are those who think that they could see as
one of those last four teams. But we'll find out.
That's the good part about today for Wisconsin. You're not
sweating whether you're in. You know, there had been some
hope and a lot of talk out there that Wisconsin

(01:42:12):
would be in the Midwest and would begin in Milwaukee,
and the Midwest feeds into this city again, not gamebridge
Field House, but Lucas Oil Stadium. But again you find
out did this game matter in that or did they
do enough work to secure all of that? And we'll
find out here very shortly. Michigan wins it here today

(01:42:33):
fifty nine fifty three. We'll have more of our Wisconsin
Fort Dealer's post game show coming up. This is a
badge of basketball from Learfield. Our Wisconsin Ford Dealer's postgame
show continues as Michigan with the game's finals six points.
It feeds Wisconsin fifty nine fifty three for the Big
Ten Tournament championship. Wisconsin will head into this week's NCAA

(01:42:54):
Tournament with a twenty six and nine record. Michigan will
be twenty five to nine. And talked about Michigan's ability
to win the close games. You realize they went fourteen
and six in conference play and in Big Ten games
they averaged seventy four point seven per game, they allowed
seventy five fourteen and six. They gave up a shade

(01:43:16):
more because when they lost sometimes they got hammered. Yeah,
but they have a magic even more so than the
Wisconsin Big Ten regular season co champs of three years
ago with Johnny Davis and Chucky and Brad Davison. It
was one close game after another. The Badgers went on
a run of winning those time and time again, and

(01:43:38):
then it finally started to unravel at the end of
the regular season of Loston, Nebraska and then and they
knocked out quickly in the Big Ten Tournament and then
got to the second round before losing to Iowa State.
So Michigan will be an interesting study in the NCAA Tournament.
They've got the bigs and they got just eight points
out of wolf today, only eleven out of Golden But

(01:44:01):
you got you mentioned it before. Trey Donaldson, he just
you know, he may not overwhelm you as you're watching him,
but he makes the plays when you have to eleven points,
eight assist, got to the free throw line. They've they've
got some parts with Burnett. You know, Casin gives him
eight when he averages not quite four. It's pretty similar

(01:44:23):
to Wisconsin in that way. They have guys who you know,
may not blow you away with statistics, but on a
given day, they know how to get it done. And
that's a big, big, big factor for teams that can
do some damage in the NCAA Tournament. Michigan wins it
here today fifty nine to fifty three, will take one
final break back to close it out in one minute.
This is a badger of basketball from their field. Michigan

(01:44:44):
fifty nine, Wisconsin fifty three. Your final score is the
Wolverines going through the ritual of cutting down the nets.
The one who are right taken care of. They're taking
care of the one two, our lefts and the badgers
and the me time we'll be gathering as a group.
There's a travel party and we'll be taking in the

(01:45:05):
selection show once their other obligations are are taken care of,
and get ready for the get ready for the NCAAA tournament,
and have yourself a week where you pick off a
couple of games and you feel real good all over.

Speaker 3 (01:45:20):
Yeah, this team, I mean, this team has everything in
front of them. Again, this team is even different than
last year.

Speaker 2 (01:45:25):
Like I just they've got the ability to really play
with so many.

Speaker 3 (01:45:31):
Different guys in the depth and just when you're when
you think about teams that have get you know, upset
in the NCAA tournament, some of it is the lack
of depth and you know it's not going your way.
But Wisconsin has enough guys that can provide enough of
a spark if things aren't going your way to get
you back out track quickly.

Speaker 1 (01:45:48):
Yes, so a fun weekend here. Tough one today for
the Badgers, but they played awfully well. Defeeding Northwestern, did
what they needed to do against the Wildcats, were absolutely
electric against UCLA and a marvelous college basketball game yesterday
where the Badgers held off Michigan State seventy seven to
seventy four. And as for Michigan, a team that lost

(01:46:10):
its final three regular season games. Yeah momentum, right, yeah,
take your momentum, and you know what, you know, they
come in here and they win three and they win
the championship that they have earned here today in this
Big Ten Conference tournament. Now we'll see what that means
for them moving forward in the NCAA tournament. So well,

(01:46:32):
but you maybe it'll be a short ride. But whatever
the case, we'll ride together and find out what happens
this week.

Speaker 3 (01:46:37):
For the absolutely no. I mean, this team has done enough.
They've they've done enough. They're you know, gonna have a
good seed. They're hopefully going to have a deep run,
and we'll be longed for it.

Speaker 1 (01:46:45):
All right, let's do it. Let's hope it's a long
run here for Greg Gard and the Wisconsin Badgers. Again.
Your final Michigan fifty nine, Wisconsin fifty three.
