Speaker 1 (00:00):
Josh Pack, my man, good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
How's it going.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
I'm a huge fan of been a fan a long time.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
I'm gonna score a lot tragically, I'm gonna score a
lot of points with my twenty one year old daughter
due to this interview.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Oh my god, Now you gotta spoke feeling.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Yeah, I mean she's been a fan of years from
the I mean, go as it's gotta be twenty year
I mean going all the way back, Drake and Joe,
all all the way back. You've been a part of that. Yeah,
I gotta tell you. You know what we should really
be talking about today, Josh Pack. We should be talking
about the series finale of Grandfather because that show should

(00:40):
have been on for years.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
God, bless you, thank you so much. I've had a
lot of shows canceled. I worry sometimes the common denominator
is me. But regardless, I really appreciate that support. It
was a great show. And you know, John Stamos, he
doesn't lose.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
That's a It was funny as hell. The concept I was.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I'm being like, really, sincereo, I would have thought that
that had at least five six seasons or a good network,
a good network home. It's got to be flattering to
be like, hey, Josh Beck, guess what I mean, that's
something meant to have on your resume.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
You were being cast as John Stamos's kid. I mean,
that's that's big Man's that's flattering.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
That's insane, the idea that I could possibly like share
any kind of DNA with John Stamos. Yes, it's very affirming.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Yeah, were you surprised that that when that one didn't
get renewed. I mean, you know, network TV has changed,
the game's changed so much. They don't sometimes they just
don't give shows like a lot of the other networks
that you've you've toiled. If Roku channels are great home,
they'll they'll give shows time to get their sea legs.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
The network you know that was Fox, right, I mean,
were you shocked?

Speaker 3 (01:55):
And like, you guys got to give us a little
bit more time because it's a great show.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
You know, it's it's a really hard sort of what's
the word model? Right, and and we've seen great shows
where they really come into their own in their second
third season and they developed that fan base. But you know,
you're in this business long enough, you're ready to be heartbroken,
sadly yes, you enjoy the experience and you keep pushing

(02:20):
because the next thing is always the right thing.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
But I'll tell you your career, you never stop.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
I mean you wind up in Oppenheimer, which that's that's
so I got to tell you, I was a little
surprised when you landed on my desk. I'm like, Josh
Peck has been talked about in my house for fifteen
twenty years now. Love to talk to that guy, find
them hysterical. I was surprised to find out you're part
of a food competition series. It's best Bite Wins. So

(02:48):
you're coming up against that Hot Wings guy. You're looking
to take down the Hot Wings guy.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Oh my gosh, Sean the host Hot Ones, Yeah, got
beat right now.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I had him on it before. Yeah, I've had him
out before. He's a good dude.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
He's awesome and what a genius idea Hot Ones is.
But listen, if he wants to bite me undercard to
the next Logan Fault fight, I'm in obviously different, but yeah,
it's you know, I've had Roku in my house for
the last ten years because my kids are obsessed with it.
It's beautiful for like younger kids, it's also great for
older people. But when they came with me to me

(03:24):
with this idea, I was like, you know, I'm a
former thick boy Josh Peck in the food space. It
just makes sense and I'm so glad that it happened
to be with Best Fight Wins.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Now, are you going to be sitting across is structurally?
Is it similar as far as this new Roku original
series is concerned? Or are celebrities going to be popping out?
How's how does the competition on Best Bite Wins? How
does it play out?

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Well?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I mean, in general, the Roku Originals, they've got like,
you know, a total sort of star studded between Jesicalba
and even you know, Martha Stewart's got a show. So
if we have a really nice sort of showcase the people.
But you know, Best Bight Whins. It's an appetizer and
sort of or dervs competition show. So six chefs are

(04:09):
tasked with creating a bunch of appetizers for a party
past or derves, and then we throw the party and
the people there get to decide was Jimmy's dish the best?
Was a Laine's dish? The best and at the end
of the episode, somebody gets voted off.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Oh okay, so this is a chef taking on chef
kind of a situation and you're serving as the host,
that's right.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean I don't know if anyone
would trust me to cook much of anything.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah. Oh really, you're not that great in the kitchen.
And you're no good in the kitchen. You know.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I grew up with a single mom and so, like,
I started cooking early, but it was mostly like eggs
and I could probably get a little bit of garlic
chicken going on. That's not bad, I believe it myself.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yeah, that's not all guys say. But my breakfast, that's
just a guy thing. You don't want to miss my
eggs though, So garlic chicken. You got to bring that
one up first and foremost. Josh back then, we love you.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
I know.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
You got the comedy Summer Camp coming out next right, Diane, Keaton, Kathy,
just a couple of Oscar winners in that one, and
that's coming out theaters not until spring.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
So you're staying busy and you are the man.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
You're the man. Thanks for having me. It was a pleasure.
