Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is a podcast from wor Now the wr Saturday
Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Here's Larry Minty.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Good morning, and welcome to the Saturday Show. On today's show,
If you're hoping that CBS won't be as biased as
ABC and the upcoming vice presidential debate, Reagan Reese, the
White House correspondent for The Daily Caller, will dash those hopes.
She says, it may be worse and have you been

(00:29):
paying attention to Proposition one that you'll be voting on
this November. It is being talented as a bill that
protects abortion rights, but Michael Kaine, who leads the New
York Teachers for Choice, says it's about much more than
that and it's dangerous. Both interviews coming up, But first,
the week that was It started with music mogul Sean

(00:53):
Diddy Combs being taken away in cuffs.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
The indictment alleges that between at least two thousand and
the present, Comb's abuse threatened and coerce victims to fulfill
his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
US attorney Damian Williams. Combs is charged with sex trafficking
and conspiracy and could spend the rest of his life
in prison. More high profile members of the Adams administration
resign amid several federal investigations. Just don't ask Mayor Adams
about it.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
We're not going to be distracted.

Speaker 6 (01:32):
And one of the distractions is answering the same question
over and over and over and over again, like you're
gonna get a different answer.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
I'm just not going to do that.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I got a city to run.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Sorry, Mayor, this isn't going away, and sources tell w
R News more resignations are still coming. Suffolk County DA
Ray Tierney wants the public's help in finding what he
believes may be another Gilgo Beach victim, a male they
call Asian Doe. This person certainly had a life and

(02:04):
loved ones and friends who knew them by their name.
Political analyst are trying to figure out why Donald Trump
held a campaign rally at the Nassau Coliseum on Long
Island when New York hasn't been won by a Republican
since Ronald Reagan in nineteen eighty four.

Speaker 7 (02:24):
It hasn't been done for a long time, But we
are going to win New York.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Trump then spoke at an anti Semitism event in Washington
and he told Jewish leaders he's depending on them to win.

Speaker 7 (02:41):
I'm not going to call this as a prediction, but
in my opinion, the Jewish people would have a lot
to do with a loss. If I'm at forty percent,
I'm at for think of it, that means sixty percent
of voting for Kamala.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Who in particular is a bad Democrat.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
At both events, Trump talked about paulas, including a new
one decertifying and cutting off funding to universities that promote
anti Semitism. In the meantime, Kamala Harris had an event
with Oprah and other celebrities. It was all vibe and
no policy. And I'm not the only leader in this.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
We're all leaders in this.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
This is so much bigger than me.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
It's about who we are as Americans.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yeah, it's a movement, all right, just not the kind
she thinks. Coming up next, Daily Caller, White House Correspondent, Reagan.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Reese now more of a wor Saturday Morning Show, and
Larry Minte Welcome back.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
ABC News is in damage control right now after their
hit job on Republican nominee Donald Trump during the presidential debate.
It may be because Dana Walden who oversees ABC News
for Disney is close friends with Kamala Harris. The next
debate is October first. It's the debate between the vice

(04:04):
presidential candidates, Ohio Senator jd Vance for the Republicans and
Minnesota Governor Tim Walls for the Democrats. Should we expect
CBS to be fairer than ABC? Reagan Reese White House
corresponded for The Daily Caller says, don't count on it. Hi, Reagan,
thanks a lot for talking with us. You've done some

(04:26):
great reporting on the evidence of bias at the very
top of CBS. Tell us what you've found.

Speaker 8 (04:32):
Yeah, So you know why we were looking into this.
Just to give you a little background is what appears
to be the last presidential debate is going to be
a debate between jd Vance and Tim Walls on October
first on CBS News. And there was a lot of
talk about bias from ABC News after Trump and Kamala

(04:55):
faced off, and so we wanted to look into CBS
News and kind of see if we could e back
to anything similar coming in October. What we found is
that the leadership of CBS News and its parent company, Paramount,
have previously made donations to the Biden and Harris campaigns
and numerous other Democrats. So what that looks like is

(05:16):
a couple of Paramount's board members have donated thousands of
dollars to the Biden and Harris campaigns as well as
their victory funds. But more specifically, I think something that
really raises alarms is that the CEO of Paramount Global
and the President and CEO of CBS, George Cheeks, has
donated four hundred dollars to the Biden campaign, two hundred

(05:39):
dollars to the Biden Victory Fund, and one hundred dollars
to the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. Wendy McMahon, the president and
CEO of CBS News and Television Stations, donated three thousand
dollars to Biden for President and three thousand dollars to
the Biden Victory Fund in twenty twenty. At the time

(06:00):
Wendy was at ABC News. She hasn't made any contribution
contributions since moving to CBS, But you know, just various
top executives within CBS and Paramount have pledged their allegiance
through these donations to the Democratic Party, which is something
that I believe is going to raise alarms for the

(06:21):
Trump campaign as we head into that October debate.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Yeah, news departments. I worked in TV news for a
long long time. News departments like the brag that there's
a firewall between the news departments and every other department,
including station and network management. Is there any evidence that
what you've found, the bias from on high could influence
the moderators?

Speaker 8 (06:43):
Well, you know, I pose this question to Paramount and
CBS News. You know, I wanted to know, is there
a policy against, you know, giving contributions. I know that's
a common thing in the news business that you know,
you don't want your journalists or executives to be pouring
money anywhere. I also asked if they were of the

(07:03):
belief that this was going to, you know, skew their
coverage one way or another. I did not receive any response.
I track my emails, so I do know that my
emails were opened about eighty times, but they were not
I got no response. I think when it comes to
whether this could have influence on this October debate, you

(07:25):
know the Paramount board members. Two of those board members
are on the compensation chair and so directly dealing with
money and how you know the finances of the company,
which can always be a concern.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
You know, that can be a.

Speaker 8 (07:41):
Conflict of interest if the people who are dealing with
the finances of a company, especially a news company, are
going to be donating to any sort of party. But
you know, directly involved in CBS News are George Cheeks
and Wendy McMahon, you know, ahead of the debate. I

(08:02):
don't know if you know, we know for sure these
previous donations, their previous indications are going to influence their coverage,
but it's definitely something that you know, people should be
concerned about it.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Yeah, in a perfect world, those two would recuse themselves
from any debate prep but I doubt that's going to happen.
The moderators are going to be CBS Evening News anchor
Nora O'Donnell and Face the Nation moderator Margaret Brennan. Any
reason to believe that they're either biased or they're influenced
by biased on high.

Speaker 8 (08:37):
So I didn't find any donations of previous donations from
either moderators of the CBS debate. But you know, just
in my experience as a journalist and also just watching
how the world works, if people that are in charge of,
you know, giving your dealing with your salary and your employment,

(08:59):
have certain opinions about things, or are biased in any
way that can be a tough area to manage and
that you might also you might be influenced by, you know,
the views of your higher ups, those guys who are
helping paying your salary and helping keeping you employed. And
so I think in large part that's something that my

(09:21):
reporting brings to light that yes, maybe these moderators you know,
haven't publicly shown donated to any any presidential campaign, but
it should also be concerning that people who are directly
in charge of them, are you know, indicating that they
are part of the Democratic Party.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Sure, sure, let's just hope they take a look over
at ABC. ABC's ratings have dropped twelve percent since the
debate for the nightly news and that's about a million
people a night, So maybe they'll learn from that. We're
speaking with Reagan Reese, White House correspondent for The Daily Caller.
She wrote an article headline, CBS news leaders ship riddled
with Democratic donors that are also hosting the next debate.

(10:05):
You can read it at Dailycaller dot com. Kamala Harris recently.
I think I know you wrote about this too. Kamala
Harris recently appeared at the at the National Association of
Black Journalists one of the events they had and Reagan.
It was seemed much different than when Donald Trump was
at the NABJ event.

Speaker 6 (10:25):
Tell us what happened, Yeah, students start contrast to, you know,
to Donald Trump's interview with the National Association of Black Journalists.
When Trump walked out on that stage at the NABJ conference, which,
by the way, Kamala Harris did not make the time
to attend that in person. She was, you know, because

(10:48):
she couldn't go, She wasn't interviewed. So Trump went into
this environment and there was instant hostility intention on the stage,
and that drove a lot of headlines because he kind
of got into it with the moderators. He was arguing with,
you know, the crowd members on whether the line of
questioning was rude. But we saw something completely different with

(11:08):
Kamala Harris, and I think that was to be expected
given who was interviewing her. Eugene Daniels is the editor
of Politico, and we've seen a political playbook. We've seen
political playbooks coverage shift from being rather critical of President
Biden in his administration too. I would go as far
to say cheerleading Kamala Harris and you know, not really

(11:33):
laying into her for her lack of interviews at this
point in the presidential presidential election. What was really interesting
to me about this interview was that a day later,
Political Playbook wrote that the interview.

Speaker 8 (11:49):
Was notable for one reason. It drove no headlines and
didn't really create news. And I believe that's what happens
when you failed to press it. Presidential candidate on why
she's flip flopping on several issues, Why it took her
a month and a half to put a policy platform
up on her website. Why did she only do one

(12:10):
sit down interview and it was alongside her running mate
rather than doing a solo interview. Another question that was
asked was, can you explain the importance of joy in
your campaign to us? You know, I'm a journalist. I
know that that does not drive headlines, that would not
bringing clips. It did for me in my audience.

Speaker 5 (12:31):
But yeah, we're almost out of time.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
But I just a real quick question, what's it like
being a White House correspondent for the Daily Caller?

Speaker 5 (12:40):
Are you treated differently.

Speaker 8 (12:42):
I yes, you know, haven't been called on in that
White House press briefing room since January. Kind of gotten
that back and forth with Green Shawn Pierre and she
hasn't come back to me since. So in that way, yeah,
I'm treated differently. But it's a it's a front row
seat to all the insane and watching the reporters turn
a blind eye to President Biden's fitness.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Well, hopefully they'll call on you soon because you must
have had a great question the last time, because now
they're not going back to you. Reagan, thank you so
much for your time. Hope we can talk again soon.

Speaker 8 (13:15):
Thank you, I appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Reagan Reese, White House correspondent for the Daily Caller. You
can reader articles at Dailycaller dot com. Coming up, in
my final thoughts, I'm going to talk about the Democratic
response since the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. In November,
you will be asked to vote for Proposition one. Michael

(13:37):
Caine is with a group called Teachers for Choice and
he says, read the fine print, the proposition is dangerous.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Here's Larry Minty with more of the WR Saturday Morning
Show this November.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
When you vote you will see Proposition one on your ballot.
Now it's being heralded by the ACL. You and play
parenthood as an important step towards constitutionally ensuring abortion rights
in New York. But Michael Caine with New York Teachers
for Choice warrens, it's about much more than that, and

(14:15):
it's dangerous. Hey, Michael, thanks so much for joining us today.
I really appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Thanks for having me.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Oh absolutely. I saw you on social media outside the
Trump rally at Nassau Coliseum and you had a T
shirt that said vote no on Prop one. You were
telling people about Proposition one. Tell me what it was
like outside the rally and how people were responding to you.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Well, the rally was amazing.

Speaker 9 (14:40):
Thousands of people were there early in the am. And
when I was talking about Proposal one. Vote no on
Proposal one, everybody agreed with me. But so few people
had even heard of what Proposal one is. You might know,
Proposal one is shrouded in really nice language of equal
rights and equal protection, but when you look closely at it,

(15:03):
they want to do things like give equal rights to children.
And what would that mean, Well, that would mean that
your eight year old has the same rights as a
twenty five year old, and then they can consent to
things without parental knowledge of parents being involved at all,
such as surgery, such as drug prescriptions, such as vaccination.
So once we were talking to people about this and

(15:23):
they learned, they were like, oh my god, I had
no idea, And we got a strong, strong, universal support
against Proposal one. But it's so important that people are
educated because everybody's four equal rights right. Nobody is against that.
But that's the language that's being used to sell something
that's much different than how they package it.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
You know, it's funny you're talking about this because that's
almost exactly what I was thinking. Almost every article about
Proposition one, you would think it was only about abortion rights,
about when enshrining those rights in the New York constitutions.
That does seem to be a ployee to get people,
especially women, out to vote on this, even though if

(16:07):
they really knew about Proposition one, they may not agree
with everything else in this. Are you facing an uphill
battle because of this?

Speaker 9 (16:18):
Not one mention of the word abortion is in Proposal one.
But that's what they're saying this is all about, and
it is not. It is enshrining saying that you can't
discriminate against anyone based on gender, based on age, based
on a laundry list of different categories that ultimately will

(16:41):
be litigated. So what they're doing is they're taking this
issue out of the legislative branch and they want to
kick it to the courts by fooling the public to
vote to a mend our constitution. And when it comes
to abortion, New York has the strongest abortion rights encoded
in statutory law. These are the laws that are completely

(17:03):
protect women's rights. There does not need to be a
constitutional amendment for it. And if it was supposed to
be about abortion, how come the word abortion isn't there
at all. I'll tell you the reason why, because doing
things like letting kids have surgery without parental knowledge or consent.
We have beaten that at the Capitol in Albany year
after year after year, even with the Democrats supermajority. The

(17:27):
people are against it. So the legislative branches forced to
listen to us. Could you imagine that, listen to the
people that actually elect them in. And now they're saying,
you know what, if we could fool the people with
this constitutional amendment it's going to be litigated in multiple
court cases. And I really, personally I'm a little cynical,
but I believe that that is actually the plan.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Here we're talking with Michael Caine from New York Teachers
for Choice about New York Proposition one that you're going
to be voting on this November. What you just told
me really blows me away. I don't know how. Like,
for instance, I read an article on the website of
the New York ACLU and they were pushing the fact

(18:10):
that this was about abortion rights. I don't know how
if it doesn't even say anything about abortion in the proposition,
I don't know how people can get away with that.

Speaker 9 (18:20):
Well, there is one element right when they say that
you can't discriminate on anybody based on gender. I also
believe they say birth outcomes. There is one mention to it,
but they never use the word abortion. And there is
a laundry list of other categories. The ones to me
that are most concerning are you can't discriminate based on

(18:41):
age or gender. So on age, we've already said children
could now consent to things.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
What is that going to do to statutory rape laws?

Speaker 9 (18:51):
Ten, an eleven year old now say no, I consent
to this, and I have the right in the constitution.
The other one that's very concerning is gender can't discriminate
against anyone based on gender. Does that mean a biological
male can use a woman's bathroom or be in women's sports.
In Nassau County, the county Executive, Bruce Blakeman has banned that.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
With the legislature here.

Speaker 9 (19:16):
This he wouldn't be able to ban it if there
was then a constitutional amendment that you can't discriminate based
on gender. And the last point, even the Daily News
is saying, this proposal is so vague and so broad,
Albany is just causing confusion and it's ridiculous. So, you know,

(19:36):
even the Daily News is putting out messaging about how
this is, uh, you know, really really a disaster. So
they put one little point that might reference abortion, but
then a laundry list of others things that they refuse
to speak about.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Give me that wording again though about abortion exactly what
they say again.

Speaker 9 (19:56):
I believe it's based you can't discriminate based on gender.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
What to believe? They say birth outcomes as well too.

Speaker 5 (20:03):
What the hell does that mean? I don't even get
what that means.

Speaker 9 (20:06):
Well, based on gender, and they don't want you really
to know they're not there isn't like an addendum that's
defining things for everybody on your ballot, so you'll know
what you're voting for.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Oh one other important thing.

Speaker 9 (20:18):
This will be at the bottom or the back of
your ballot. Flip your ballot over if you don't see it,
and you have to vote no on Proposal one because
they are counting on people not being educated, people not
seeing it, and people loving their branding of equal rights.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
Now this is really advising.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
I still can't get over having equal rights on birth outcome.
I don't even know what that means. Now I understand
Riley Gaines, who has risen to national fame for fighting
for women's sports and keeping biological males out of women's
sports and the locker rooms, by the way, has joined
your cause.

Speaker 5 (20:53):
That's a big name.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Oh absolutely, you know.

Speaker 9 (20:57):
She has stood with Bruce Blakeman in Nassau County when
he banned biological nails from being in girls' sports in
the schools.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
She is saying loud and out there.

Speaker 9 (21:08):
Vote no on Proposal one in New York and everybody
who wants more information on this go to protect Kids
ny dot com. Protect Kids ny dot com. It's up
to us to make sure people know about this. If
people know, they're going to vote no on this. But
if people don't know, we can have a real serious

(21:29):
situation just from a lack of education and lack of knowledge.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
You already talked about the courts. So if this passes,
this fight is going to the courts, right and it
is something that's in the would be in the Constitution
from what I understand, So this could go to the
Supreme Court if it passes, or if it does so.

Speaker 9 (21:47):
The first thing would be to go through the New
York courts to the highest court in New York State
would be the New York Court of Appeals, which are
where it would be decided. I feel like that court
is very beholden to Kathy Hokel right now, these appointees,
there's a lot of politics there. In my opinion, Yes,
it could eventually go to scotus to the highest court federally,

(22:09):
but this could take years and we don't need this.
We got plenty of messes to clean up. We don't
need this one. And I'll tell you another thing. Democrats
support this at levels of seventy percent. But when they're
educated on what it says, they oppose it at levels
of seventy percent. Don't be afraid to speak to people

(22:30):
even if they think differently than you about this, because
this is a real.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
Propaganda machine working right now. We can beat this.

Speaker 5 (22:38):
Michael Caine, good luck to you.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
Let's talk again before election day and get the word
out there.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
Keep fighting the good fight.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Thanks so much for having me on.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Michael Caine, New York Teachers for Joys. Up next, some
final thoughts on the Trump assassination attempts.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Back now to the WR Saturday morn with Larry.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Minti and now some final thoughts. It happened again, breaking news.

Speaker 10 (23:06):
The FBI is now investigating a shooting in West Palm
Beach as an attempted assassination against former President Donald Trump.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
This would be a second time.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
It would actually be a third attempt. Everyone seems to
forget what happened on September twelfth.

Speaker 11 (23:22):
The FBI arresting a Pakistani national in connection with an
alleged plot to assassinate former President Donald Trump.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Pakistani Asif Merchant was working for Iran and was caught
when he met with two men in New York who
he thought were hit men to take out Donald Trump,
but they were actually FBI agents. Iran wandered him dead
for ordering the strike that killed Redguard chief Cassam Solimani.

(23:49):
So that's Iran. But the two other attempts, the one
in Butler, Pennsylvania and the most recent at a golf
club in Palm Springs, California, were undoubtedly stoked by dangerous
rhetoric by the Democrats and their minions in the media.
After all, if you had the chance, wouldn't you kill
Mussolini or Hitler.

Speaker 9 (24:10):
Let's not pretend that Donald Trump isn't exactly like Mussolini,
exactly like Hitler.

Speaker 10 (24:15):
He is that guy domestics terrorism is a real thing,
and he is the guy that stokes it.

Speaker 12 (24:20):
All he's doing is riling up his base and inciting
violence on a horrible rhetoric.

Speaker 9 (24:24):
Let me know who I got to vote for to
keep Hitler at the White House.

Speaker 11 (24:28):
I think a lot of people have tried to draw
similarities between Mussolini and Hitler, and the use of the
terminology like vermin.

Speaker 10 (24:38):
Anyone and everyone who comes through should be terrifying to
all Americans, and he needs to be shot.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
A constant clamoring in the media about how dangerous Donald
Trump is, how he's a threat to democracy. Certainly after
another assassination attempt, the Democrats would learn their lesson.

Speaker 13 (24:58):
I don't understand why it's so difficult for the press
to have a consistent narrative about how Trump is. We
can't go back and give this very dangerous man another
chance to do harm to our country in the world.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
That was Hillary Clinton just two days after the assassination attempt,
calling Trump a danger to the world. It seems clear
that the Democrats are not going to stop stoking hatred
because scaring people about Trump is really the only thing
they have to run on. It is why, in the
wake of the latest assassination attempt, White House spokesperson Correeine

(25:38):
Jean Pierre again called Trump a threat to democracy, prompting
this question from Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocey.

Speaker 12 (25:50):
It's been only two days since somebody allegedly tried to
kill Donald Trump again, and you're here at the podium
in the White House briefing room calling him a threat.
How many more assassination attempts on Donald Trump until the
president and the Vice president and you pick a different
word to describe Trump other than threat.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
It was a great question, and Corene Jean Pierre's answer
was stunning.

Speaker 10 (26:16):
I actually completely disagree with the premise of your question.
The question that you're asking. It is also incredibly dangerous
in the way that you're asking it. Because American people
are watching.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
It is very clear that no matter what happens to
Donald Trump, the Democrats are not going to tone down
the rhetoric because they have nothing else again to run on.
They can't run on the Biden Harris record because they
ruin the economy and caused a migrant crisis. They can't
run on Kamala's policies going forward because apparently she has none.

(26:50):
They have to say Trump is dangerous and must be stopped.

Speaker 11 (26:55):
These left wing networks aren't saying he has bad policy.
Hillary Clinton wasn't saying he had better policy. She's saying
he's a danger. The implication is we won't be able
to stop him through the election. We must stop him otherwise,
and they are inciting every crazy or angry person in
our country. And frankly, CNN and MSNBC need to tone
down their rhetoric.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
That is Senator Rand Paul who confronted journalists outside the
Capitol and told them the very same thing right to
their faces. But it's clear they're not going to stop
because the new Democratic strategy after this assassination is a
little childish. They're saying he started it.

Speaker 14 (27:33):
Real introduction to violent rhetoric in America in presidential campaigns
has been unprecedented since Donald Trump first came under the
scene in twenty sixteen.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
And of course that's why there's been so many assassination
attempts on Democratic candidates recently. Oh wait, there haven't been any.
It is clear, however, that they're not going to stop,
which means their only campaign strategy is hate and if
God forbid, anything happens to Donald Trump, we'll know exactly

(28:07):
who to blame. That wraps up Saturday Morning for this week.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
Thanks for listening.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
I'll be back Monday morning with Len Bourman and Michael
Riedle in the morning from six to ten.

Speaker 5 (28:16):
Have a great weekend.
