Speaker 1 (00:00):
Five six sixty nine zero is the text line. You
guys want to get involved in conversation. A lot of
good text coming in there. I appreciate all you guys
reaching out, even if we don't read them all on
the air. Thanks to Rick Lewis for joining us a
little bit earlier for What the Funk on Thursday. If
you missed any part of that, you go to Broncos Country,
Our comp Slash podcast or Progage podcast, Apple iTunes, Spotify,

(00:20):
the you totally free and redesigned iHeartRadio app, where you
can also get to take it for you out of podcast,
new episode, new episode out there.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Loading loading. You gotta ruin my drive home, aren't you?
It'll make your drive to work even better tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
I'm not driving the snow. Look at an uber. I'll
make them listen to it in the uber. There we
go get I'm gonna pump the numbers up, Grant.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
This is what I do. Self sacrificed.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Everybody's said that, many many people have said that I'm
the self sacrificing type. And with that, let's go out
to the KWA Coomsperil hotline and bring on Bree Maasis,
who will probably tell me on the exact opposite, Bree,
how you doing.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
My goodness, what a way to introduce me, of all people,
Good afternoon, good evening, fellas, how are.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
You doing pretty well? I look, it's a great way
to introduce you.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
It allows me to brag about my humbleness, which I
believe is an oxymoron in and of itself.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
As we're looking at this for about a week away
from the draft here.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Exactly a week away from the draft here, the speculation
has moved around a little bit here or there. I've
kind of tried to maintain the Omara enhaanted or trade
back thing. What do you see looking into your crystal
ball abre basis.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
I think that's appropriate given the fortune teller vibes that
I get off. Heading the NFL draft, the Broncos are
a bit at a crossroads, but I think this isn't
a great way, right. They finally got some stability at quarterback,
which means this draft isn't about desperation, and it's been
that way in the past. It's all about building around
their foundation, finding playmakers. And you're right, the conversation has

(01:53):
shifted a little bit to positions like running backs tight
end of course, but I feel like there's been a
real in the last couple of weeks. I would say
even days. Right, the conversations are now shifting exponentially. You've
got the hype train following Ash and gent following his
comments about it's tackle football, you know what I'm saying.
So Bronco's country is running a little bit of a

(02:14):
fever and you're gonna love this. The only cure for
that is more bell Cow And I think he's the
type of dynamic back because that gets this entire fan
base rallied around something hard to tackle, someone who can
run and catch and take the pressure off the quarterback.
But there's a lot of smoke that's been billowing lately.
And it's interesting because Treyvon Henderson wasn't that pick moving
up here in the draft, but now everyone's kind of

(02:36):
placing him on their mocks being an ideal fit for
the Broncos, especially I believe that Sean Payton is really
looking to add the home run threat in the backfield.
His skill set aligns well with what Peyton likes. He's versatile, explosive,
the Swiss army knife as you will, and I think
he's a great would be a great addition, this would

(02:57):
get them the legit offensive weapon who can compliment or
even take on lead duties because there's been injury concerns,
there's been inconsistencies at running back, and I think this
is the chess piece or two of the chess pieces
he could use all over the field. I'm not convinced
that they're going to move a whole time in this draft.
I mean he've moved back a little bit, but I'm

(03:17):
not seeing a desperation point here for the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
All right, Breese, as we started off talking about running backs,
let's get you a little perspective on this because when
I look at some of the backs coming out, the
first thing I think about is what types of bags
as Sean Payton had previously.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
So when you think about some.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Of the running backs that are coming out, you mentioned
Trevian Henderson, I like Whowshan Jenkins. But let's put it
in the realm of Sean Payton for a moment. Like
you think about Deuce McCallister, you think about mark Ingram,
you think about Avia Kamara. I mean, there are some
backs that are coming out that we can say, well,
they fit that particular mo all the backs. I gave

(03:58):
you that Sean is quite familiar with. What type of
bet would you like to see in a Broncos uniform?
Let me give them to you again, Alba Kamara mark
Ingram deuce McAllister.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
I think you have to go with Alvin Kamara there.
Like there's an entire subset of just freak athleticness that
you're talking about, and I know it makes the radars
go off. It's very much showed the prime example of
the running backs getting into an elder age of sorts.
That that's the type of back that I'm looking for.
The explosiveness in itself that I mentioned earlier, being able

(04:33):
to impact both the run in the past game, and
I think just absolutely setting up an offense for success
there takes off so much pressure from b Nix having
to run the entire offense by himself, and I need
run in the very much so punny way where he
doesn't have to be the leave runner anymore. So they're
not scrambling to fix anything that's broken. They're trying to

(04:54):
enhance what they already have. But if you threw like
an Alvin Kamara in there, I would be hard pressed
to say that that window that's open in for an
opportunity of a deeper run into the playoffs gets exponentially
just just just quicker to the to the endpoint. So
I love the idea that you throw out, Kamara. I
think that's the type that you're looking for. I know
you're not necessarily speaking of him as the talent, but

(05:15):
I think that's the prospect that you're trying to put
into that position.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Talking with Brimay, is this here.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
You know Sean Payton George Payton at the pre draft
press conference today and they said very clearly there wasn't
a lot of information to be gleaned out of there,
but there was one thing I think that jumped out,
and they were adamant about the fact that they're going
to address running back in this draft. But Sean Payton
came out and said, look, there's there's two great things
you can do to to help a quarterback out. Have
a really great defense, have a really great run game,
And you know, I think adding that running back potentially

(05:45):
early in this draft, I think that could definitely set
bow Nicks up to be his best self.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Yeah. Absolutely, what is there is a question attached to
that one?

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Ben I normally just like, don't ask a question to
let the conversation flow. But since you called me out
on it, I'm going to call myself out on it
right now. I mean the question that I guess I
would have there is at what points you just talked
about not being desperate, but at what point are you
desperate for your guy?

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Like, if your guy is there at twenty.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Do you make that move or do you do you
look at this deep draft and say and weigh the
balance of trading back, acquiring more draft capital in the future,
and maybe adding someone else. Nick Ferguson and I have
talked about this. I mean, like, my guy's Hampton, like
it's been my guy. If he's there, you take him.
But there are options here where you could trade back,
maybe get a queen Shawn Judkins who fits that same kind.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Of an architect.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
You can tell what side Nick Ferguson is on there
and go from there. Where do you come down on
on that scenario?

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Well? I think John Payton said it beastly. He said,
you're trying to fall in love with guys, right, so
you're trying to find that guy that you would feel
not comfortable but like convinced convicted in order to make
that leap and commitment to be able to pursue a
guy in above twenty right. So that's why I think
that the author to be for an individual to fall,
whether it's Hampton or if they trade back and they're

(07:05):
able to get dredgment. I think both of you would
be happy with either of those results. It's more so
a sense of looking for the developmental pieces, right that
can grow with Bonnick, so they're finding those guys. I
think there was an interesting note there in their postfessors
that there's an idea that there's a lot of depth
and maybe it will be in the later rounds that

(07:25):
they're picking up those developmental pieces. But it's an interesting
concept because then you can throw tight end even in there, right,
it makes sense to look for one that can grow
behind Evan Ingram because they can still contribute in early packages.
And that's another Swiss army knife for Payton. He loves
the versatility at that spot at running back, and I
feel like they're not They don't have to make the leap,

(07:45):
they don't have the gun after anyone in particular. But
it's such a wildcard with Sean Payton, you're never necessarily
sure of what he's going to do. He says one thing,
he does another. I think this is a perfect example
where I don't love twenty as the pick because I
don't think they're in a position that they need to
chase anything but let the guy come to them if

(08:06):
it so may be it just like I mean, Bonix
has the perfect example of that, and I think that
they're in a position where, yeah, however it falls, I'm
really looking forward to the identity that's placed on the
Broncos heading into twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Well, right, Hapton Quin Shawn Judkins. I think you can
tell Nick and I have a type. We like big
backs and we cannot.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
Lie, my goodness, that's true to life and all forms.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
I'm just saying.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
But here's what I would say.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
When you think about the way that the Broncos performed
last year, breathed and coming into the season, what do
you think the Broncos will need to do to somewhat
close that gap in the AFC?

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Oh, my goodness, Building something sustainable I think is really
about acquiescing the talent across the board. And I know
that's just in the general sense, it's what you want
to do every year. But this year they have all
of the draft capital, they have the ability, they're in
a position where they can gain more of it, and
I think this, like I mentioned earlier, is a chance
for them to reset their identity. They get to target

(09:11):
a lot where this team is headed and not necessarily
trying to make up for the mishaps of the past,
whether it be spending a ton of capital, making some
of the trades that were a little bit of head scratchers,
whether it's in retrospect or at the moment, depending on
how you felt when it happened, but anything's on the
table right now. And there's the ability to be aggressive
and the history with Sean Payton being able to go

(09:32):
up in the draft, like how the Saints operated under him,
whether it's an offensive weapon or like you mentioned, Ben,
a chef's piece defender that he someone is enamored with.
If players start to slip a little bit, they're in
a great position to go ahead and tackle that through
the draft. And I think that's just that's where we're at.
That's where we're at as a Denver Broncot fans and
an organization as we watch kind of the chips fall

(09:54):
as they may, but this year doesn't have to have
the same undertones. This offseason isn't about mortgaging anything, but
I do want to know if the Broncos are going
to be deep playoff contenders, they just have to have
that consistency piece. They almost beat the Chiefs as is.
They didn't have to wait until they didn't have their
starters in there at the last game of the season.
They are already competitive. They just need to be consistent

(10:15):
with what they did, and they're already going to be
improving from what they did in twenty twenty four. Twenty
twenty five is all about there, letting the dust settle
and then working what you have and hoping that you
put the right pieces in place to just have that
excedental lift off. I already talked about the window being open,
but now you can start to be kind of aggressive
in how you attack the season. I hope it works out.

(10:36):
I think they're on a great passaging competitive in the
AFC West in general, and then the AFC as a whole.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Te bramaysis okay, everybody knows on the front end, you
know the names and all that kind of stuff, But
who's somebody maybe not early on that you would love
for the Denver Broncos to come out of this draft with.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Oh my goodness, what a trap question. I feel like
there's a ton of different options that you could go
for here, but there are some freak athletes on the
offensive line, which I know that there's not necessarily a
need as it currently stands, but I'd like to see
them kind of target somebody that could provide long term
tackle or even a guard to center versatility. And I

(11:15):
don't have necessarily somebody exactly in my mind for who
that could be, because as these boards continue to fall,
I'm wondering if there isn't some undrafted free agent that
actually is the missing piece for the long term health
of the trenches, because I think that's what's been missing
in the long slot of what's been happening for the

(11:36):
Broncos when they're working to bolster their O line. In
D line, I think that there's always this like, yeah,
but who's going to take over when someone like a
Quinn Dailey goes down? Right? So I don't think offensive
line is going to be necessarily at fifty one or
eighty five, but you're looking into the later rounds, maybe
a fourth round pick at one twenty two John Gains
perhaps or sorry drunk games being the previous and twenty

(11:59):
twenty free selection. I don't think it's impossible to think
that they're not going to make a move in the
later rounds or even in the undrafted free agency when
you have players who just didn't get swept up. I mean,
there's plenty of possibility for a player to make an
impact when they weren't necessarily on the raiders radars of
all the teams heading into those layer rounds.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
All right, Bree, I can't let you out of here
without asking this question.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
Obviously, we are in the playoff molde here in Denver, Colorado,
when we look at the Avalanche and we look at
the Nuggets, but more importantly the Denver Nuggets they're facing
off against the LA Clippers. Are you looking forward to
this matchup? And more importantly, after what was shocking last week?

(12:44):
Can the Nuggets pick up the pieces and win this series?

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Yeah? Absolutely. The Nuggets heading into the playoffs are one
of the more dangerous teams, and not necessarily because they've
been playing the ball that they're known for, but because
they're back to into a little bit of a corner,
right They've got the experience. The chemistry was there, and
I'm hard pressed to believe that it just evaporated into
their thin air. I think they arguably have one of

(13:11):
the best players in the game, and if you're a
Nuggets fan, I think you should feel, you know, basically
cautiously optimistic about the first round up matchup with the Clippers.
They had recent success obviously in the bubble year, came
back from three to one. But this current Nuggets team,
it's still deeper, it's more experience, it's led by a
better version of Nicole Yokich than ever before. But that said,

(13:32):
don't I don't think you can sleep on the Clippers.
I know age is a factor there, but if Kyawe
sorry letterd is healthy, that's always kind of a big question.
They've got a lot of firepower there. He's playing some
really elite basketball. I think he's averaging like twenty seven
points and they've got a revitalized bench. Right I'm not
big one Harden, but they can switch, they can slow

(13:54):
them down. They've got experience too. I don't think it's
an easy matchup. But given I already mentioned Denvers, you know, chemistry,
but the continuity factor you got to remove. Obviously, it's
the huge movement to to move on from Michael Malone
and Booth. I think that's a that's a huge step
in kind of their progression of who they're going to be.

(14:15):
But I think then there's the better team. They'll need
to be really locked in for Game one obviously coming
up on Saturday. But the Clippers are dangerous, but I
feel I feel really confident, and I think it's like
it's extremely hard not to rally around. Nicoleaeo gets war
Cry right. He said the Beast is always the most
dangerous when they're vulnerable, and I run purely off the vibes,

(14:36):
like I think, if they can stay healthy, the Nuggets
are going to make this a gritty I want to
say six games.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
I don't think you said war cry. I really thought
you said war crimes for a minute there, and I'm like,
wait a minute, now, it might be that might be
him not getting the m VP, might be the war
crime there at least for the season. But yeah, it's
really I was like, whoa, whoa, Oh, okay said war Cry.
We're still talking about Breeze, so she could have either way.
I know I had to double check myself. So Bray,

(15:03):
we appreciate the time tonight and look forward to hearing
you on Let's Talk Broncos and and uh, you guys
get the draft party coming up there. I was that
Thursday night you guys had.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
That draft party.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Yeah, five thirty pm at the Rock Restaurant, Bar and grill.
Head on over, even if you can only catch a
little bit of it. We'll also be doing a Nuggets
watch along because the game is going to be happening
that same night. Hey, no disrespect to SGA. Great season
for the young man, but it's wild. Nicola Jokic is
the MVP and it should be like what the fifth now?

Speaker 5 (15:33):
All right?

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Yeah, I'm with you all on that, and I think
we're all locally here an agreement on that as well.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Britty, appreciate the time tonight.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Thanks guys, yep, thank care.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Bree Basis from Let's Talk Broncos and Zack Seeger is
one of his partners there on the on the podcast.
When we come back, I think young Zack's gonna join
us do it NFL six pack, Broncos Country Night, Kawam,
but all Bran think ferguson Grant Smith's that seeker step
in anger, do a little six pack action here in

(16:02):
just second. Thanks to Bree Masis for joining us in
the last segment. You missed any part of that, God
to Broncos, Country Net Dot compilation podcast or of each podcast,
Apple it Tunes, Spotify, the free readesigned iHeartRadio app. Where
you're taking it for granted podcasts, that's right. I didn't
nail it there, but you did the uh they take
it for granted podcast it'll.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Be uh be happening. So it's loading. This is what
I did, per sources, per sources, your insider.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
So okay, I'm gonna take it for granted podcast insider.
I'm gonna add that to my resume. And with that,
let's get the fol six pack one.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
It's time for the NFL six pad.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
I'm gonna trak it out here.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Insight and insight information you can't find anywhere else.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
No.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Six the top six NFL headline what ask gent.

Speaker 6 (16:44):
He wrote an open letter to NFL teams in The
Players Tribune that ended, I've taken the long way. I'm
done with that way. If you pick me, it's simple.
I'm coming to your franchise to do what Saquon and
the Eagles just did. I'm coming to win big soon.
It's tackle football. You know what I'm saying. I draft
the guy they can't tackle. Thank you for your time.

(17:06):
Does that make you want gente more or less? And
do you think this statement, you know, him saying and
no one can tackle me puts a bit of his
target on his back as he enters the NFL.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
No, and it's cornball, man, Like, how many of these
do we get? Every off? You don't draft me, you'll
go to regret it.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Josh Rozen's gonna make them all regret not drafted him.
You know, Like there's everybody says that it's become a thing.
It's so funny because it takes off, because it's.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Such like a vibes thing. All of a sudden, everybody falls, Oh,
this guy's got the right.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
They all got to think if everybody's got the competitive
nature in.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Right nick now all got the dog in them?

Speaker 5 (17:37):
Right? Some of them do.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Yeah, But I'm not going to amen on everything that
you say, because I like Jant saying this because for
the most part, he hasn't really missed saying a lot
all season law and he's been really quiet, and he's
allowed his play to speak balls, but he's understanding how
this thing works. You gotta get out there and you
gotta see it with your chest and let people go no,

(18:00):
and guess what he is?

Speaker 5 (18:02):
Right? Who was tackling him in college football?

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Nobody and they all know what was coming because it
wasn't gonna be the passer. I think, Look, my problem
isn't with Yancey saying it. My problem was with everybody
fawning over it on on social media, and I'm like,
what do you like he wasn't gonna say that, Like
what was.

Speaker 5 (18:16):
What else was he gonna say?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Like, well, you know, if they draft me, I guess whatever.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
Everybody comes out strong, everybody puts a statement, comes out strong.

Speaker 5 (18:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
But but this is one guy white sa Kwuon Barkley
who can actually back it up.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
I believe it that and he's gonna be taking to
the top ten again. Not faulting Chanty for doing it,
faulting everybody for sitting here being all like, oh no,
I wanted it wasn't the you know, it wasn't the
tape whereas guy's like going buck wild looking like Bo
Jackson and Tecmo Bowl. It was the letter he wrote
in the athletic or wait, wasn't even answer players trip
a player's tribune.

Speaker 5 (18:49):
You know they can't tackle me. Come on, I'll toss
this out to the resident Broncos fan. I played for them.
I'm a fan, but he's like an uber fan.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
So would you like to see Jancy in the Raids uniform?

Speaker 2 (19:02):
No, exactly, I don't. I don't mind them making that.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
I don't mind them making that team boating mistake. I
feel that that smells like sparkly to the Giants to me,
say going to the Giants to me, which he was
a very good player for them, but I don't think
they got the most out of him.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Get ready too.

Speaker 6 (19:18):
Speaking of the Giants, Cadarius Tony aka Young Jokey announced
he is retiring from the NFL to pursue his passion
of making rap music. What do you make of this
move from Tony and what will you remember from his
football playing career not his rap career, though he has
already released some signals dating back to the twenty nineteen

(19:38):
or so.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
First of all, there's only two Tonys. I acknowledged.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
It's Tony Manus our news guy, and Tony Tony Tony
who I wanted to see in concert with we went
wet just for the symmetry.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
But uh no, nobody get that joke. A little too
old for you.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Okay, yes, Canaries Tony voluntarily retiring for the NFL. That
dude got voluntold to retire from the NFL. Can there
is Tony? Oh my goodness, get him all the way
out of here. Canary's Tony. He's been all that talent.
Let all that talent go to waste. For years, teams
kept taking chances on him, and my goodness, I mean,

(20:11):
just absolutely ridiculous waste of talent.

Speaker 5 (20:14):
The one thing I remember about Tony because I think
he was off sides in that Kansas.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
City game, which really was really impactful for the team.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
At that time. But I guess we saw another trouble
wide receiver and.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Antonio Brown go into the rap business and he was
successful for somewhat of a while. But the one thing
I don't get, I mean, the rappers can they not come.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
Up with I mean better names.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
I mean because they're using young and Little entirely too much.
I mean, the only young I know was young and
See And maybe I'm dating myself with that, but it's yes,
it's going down. It is young Jeezy.

Speaker 5 (20:55):
Young Droe.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
I mean start with the young plus how long could
he use that name? Anyway?

Speaker 1 (21:00):
When you hit Ferdy, you can't be young joker anymore.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
At that point.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
It's like just like the thing with Harry.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Potter, like you're so old at this point we got.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Car call him Harold.

Speaker 6 (21:11):
Yeah, when he coined that nickname for himself, he was
in high school, so he's definitely aged out.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
If it he coined the nickname for himself.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
Well, yeah, I think you.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
I think most people come up with their own rap names.
You're not allowed to come up with your own nickname.
Rap name Joe. Anybody rap is any good? I can't
say I've listened.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Okay, a rap insider, Gret Smith, it's going down.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
We probably a lot of it on KBC O Big
Rap Rap Station three.

Speaker 6 (21:43):
New York Giants Giants Heavy Show, New York Giants GM.
Joe Shane commented that it's not mandatory that the team
takes a quarterback after signing Janis Winston and Russell Wilson
in free agency.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
Do you agree or do.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
You think the Giants have to come out of this
draft with a.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Quarterback They're going to draft the quarterback where they draft.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
That will remain to be seen.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
I've told the story at fifteen times, but I'll tell
you I had dinner with these people when we were
out there at the Combine. They told me exactly what
they were gonna do. They were gonna take multiple swings
at the quarterback position. They've already done so in free agency.
Bring it in Russ and Jamis. They already said, we're
going to commit assets to this because if we don't
get it right, we're not gonna be here, you know,
to have to work around in that anyway. They will
draft the quarterback where they draft it remains to be seen.

(22:27):
Who they draft remains to be seen. Whether that's Shad
or Sanders, who you know they certainly put a lot
of work into. Where that's Jalen Milroe, who's kind of
a diet version of a quarterback they've already got on
their roster. And Russell Wilson, whoever it is, whoever it is,
you know, the Giants will come away with the quarterback
in this draft.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
I've been on record for saying this and I've said again,
I think the Giants would be a great landing spot
for Chador. The city of New York fits his type
of attitude and this kind of feistiness and also being
behind to quarterbacks who happen to be average an American
who's been through this experience before.

Speaker 5 (23:02):
They can lead him.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
In the right direction and he doesn't have to be
forced into action right away. So if the Giants were
to take him, I think that would be a great place.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
The other places Saints and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 6 (23:14):
And then both Jamis and russ have experienced being kind
of on the wrong end of a media firestorm or being,
you know, the most hated guy in town, and that's
something probably learned.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
And not only that, they lead differently, you know, like
Russell is more of a subdued leader, but hyper positive.
Jamis is more of a like a you know, a
personal connection even louder. Well it's funny, you know, but
like Hugh's as humor. You know, I prayed to deliver
me from pick sixes. Two different leadership styles that that
I think would help out with a guy who Inshaudure

(23:49):
is going to have to That's the one thing about
him that he's gonna he's gonna have to learn to
lead on his own now right, I mean not that
because I don't want to say that Daddy covered for
him kind of thing. But this is the first time
he's going to be out from under his father in law.
I mean, you do have to learn now New.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
York would do They got to bring out the best
or the worst than one of the two.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
God, Big Blue, I'm knowing better than us.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
Like I'm just praying for the Lord to deliver me
from pick six doors.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
I cannot wait to add a third sound bite for
that clips.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
With when we get Shador on that every time makes
you learned.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
And the problem is like I don't know if you're
not praying hard enough for praying maybe he pray the
other guy, but like baby Jesus, else just major Jesus.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
Aaron Rodgers said today that he remains undecided on his
future and that he felt slighted by the Jets having
him fly out to New York just to tell him
they didn't want him back.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Do you think Rogers was.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
Disrespected by that in person meeting? And do today's comments
make you believe Rogers retiring is more likely?

Speaker 1 (24:54):
One of my good buddies up there in the New
York market who always has receipts for everything. Dug up
a tweet from Air Rodgers after this comment came out
from twenty thirteen that says in person, greater sign phone call.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
There's a tweet for everything.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
As far as the rest of this goes, I mean,
Aaron Rodgers wouldn't get enough tension, so he went on
his Buddy McAfee show to get to talk about nothing,
to get a bunch of attention through Aaron Clannon and
Aaron Moogie under the bus for the way that they
you know, for saying, hey, we're going to move on.
For a guy who has it on the record that he,
you know, he wants things done in person. As far
as the rest of it goes, yeah, he has decided
on what he's gonna do. He doesn't really want to

(25:31):
go to Pittsburgh, like that's the last resort kind of thing.
So you know, he's trying to sweat out and hope
that JJ McCarthy falls on his face or gets hurt
so he can try and swoop in and take the
Minnesota job.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
Have we had enough of this narcissist?

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Can he retire already?

Speaker 4 (25:45):
I don't think we had we've had enough, and I
don't think that he's had enough.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
But I'll say this. They say Comra is a witch,
and that's exactly what.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
He experienced because all the trolls that he took the
Jets through for the past two seasons and everyone else
with that matter, even beating back this time.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
With Grimmy Packers. I guess uh.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Darren and Eric Glynn decided we're gonna give you back
to you in your own way.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
Have you come in and just the wave goodbye to
you Darren and Aaron.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
I love that.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
Yeah, it works out, Hello goodbye.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
But I mean there goes deeper than this, the leak
and all the stories in New York.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
The leak, it was Rogers.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Rogers was the one Lincoln, all the stuff he was
winking with Joe Douglas stuff he was winking the Robert saladstone,
and Robert Salad was too classy to sit there and.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
Fire back at him the way he could have and
let it go. There's a new sheriff in town. His
name is Eric Glynn. Should about by bay call him.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Doc Holliday because you will miss your point about J. J. McCarthy.

Speaker 6 (26:39):
I think he should be very careful if any NFL
player were to employ the use of voodoo dolls.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
It would be Aaron Rodgers yal that makes sense. Hyahuasca five.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
A better than the Giants.

Speaker 6 (26:53):
One Brown's GM Andrew Berry compared Travis Hunter to show
Hey o Tani today and said that the Browns wouldn't
cap his usage between the two sides of the ball
if they were to select him with the number two
pick in this year's draft. Do you think the Browns
will draft Travis Hunter? What do you make of the
Show Hey comparison? And do you think Hunter's body can

(27:14):
handle that amount of playing time at the NFL level?

Speaker 1 (27:17):
I think Carter's a better fit for him than Travis
Hunter based on you know what they do right now.
I mean, I know they need receivers. I don't his body.
I mean, like it's it's a miracle, It's a marvel
if it'll hold up. He held up in college for
what are more? You get more plays in a game
in college football than you do in the NFL. Right
the NFL average game is roughly what at fifty eight
snaps sixty snaps, give or take. I mean, you know
in the college game you get more than that, So

(27:39):
you know, end of the day, I think the body
will hold up just fine, you might get a little
wir of tear made put some weight on that frame.
The question is what is the primary designator position, you know,
and if it's if it's New York, I excuse me,
If it's Cleveland, it's going to be a receiver with
some corner stuff thrown in. If it's you know, the
other place, that might be corner with receiver stuff thrown in.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
You know, I don't know. I would just say that
comparing him to.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Atani, that's probably the best description.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
That's probably the closest comparison that you can make.

Speaker 5 (28:08):
Yeah, because there's not a lot of players out.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
There in the past and we have to wait for
the future to kind of see how that's going to
shake out.

Speaker 5 (28:17):
But Travis is one of one being.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
Able to play as many reps as he did and
do it at a very high level.

Speaker 5 (28:22):
Yeah, I mean, that's praised. He'd be mentioned in.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
The same conversation as a guy like Shoe Hayotani because
being as though he's a solid hitter and he's a
pitcher at the same time, I think only you're the
guy that did it that at that higher Ratem's Bay rule.

Speaker 6 (28:36):
Yeah, I think that's the only way to two or the
only guy you can compare him to. And I think
the other overlap is when Otani was coming into that MLB,
no one thought his body would be able to hold
up to it, and the Angels were gonna have to
pick one router or the other. And much like Hunter's
hoping to do, he proved him all wrong.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
He's a freak, he's a mutant.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
He's the best.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Player in college football.

Speaker 6 (28:59):
Six today, rapper Lil Wayne vowed he would to your point,
Nick or Lil Wayne vowed he would never participate in
a Super Bowl halftime show after he wasn't included in
this year's performance, despite the game being played in his home.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
State of Louisiana.

Speaker 6 (29:17):
Are you disappointed to hear about this with Lil Wayne?
And which working artist would you most like to see
do a Super Bowl halftime show?

Speaker 2 (29:27):
I mean, I'm not disappointed. I don't really care.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
I mean, at the end of the day, he's had
some problems in recent years with doing live shows because
he's been to.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
You know, under the influence.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
When he's done that, when's the last time, Gosh, when's
the last time.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
We ain't charted? Man?

Speaker 1 (29:43):
I'm trying to think like when's the last time? Yeah,
but I mean you know what I mean, like, when's
the last time he charted? Like super Bowl accents? Those
are world crossover you know type of deals. When's the
last time he charted in the US? Just like what
two thousand and what's the last time?

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Like cat food? Like what was the last song that
he had that charted?

Speaker 6 (30:02):
I'm just trying to think lots of got money in
two thousand and eight?

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Maybe No, I mean he charted since then.

Speaker 6 (30:08):
You're talking about twenty eighteen as a featured artist, you
have something in here, but well.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
That last time it was a solo album himself, but
he's been on features with a lot of other people.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Last time he was in a top ten song was
twenty nineteen.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Six years ago. Like what has he done that's relevant?
I mean, and that's the tail end of the prime
you know stuff for him. So what you know, he's
not he's not old enough to be retro at this point,
So what what would be the incentive to have him anyway?

Speaker 6 (30:35):
I mean counterpoint that Rolling Stone super Bowl, they were retro.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
There's a there's a zeitgeist thing here that he's not
a part of. You know, like I mean, with all
due respect to Lawayne, who put out more music than
I ever will in my dreams, Like why would we
have him to do a Super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Well, you asked the question what artists would I like
to see that we haven't seen. I for me, regardless
of what people may say, I want to see Chris
Brown because I know Chris Brown is going to give
you a show.

Speaker 5 (31:08):
He is going to entertain, So that's who I would
love to see. It seemed like I said.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Chris Brown, and everything looks like this sucked it.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Well, you know what happened is slappy of the room.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
I was sitting jokes like which one do I need
to go with?

Speaker 3 (31:27):
Come on, man?

Speaker 1 (31:28):
You know with that super Bowl heavy guests? Is it
gonna feature Rihanna? I mean, you know what are we
doing here? We're talking about entertainment on the Super Bowl Sunday.
So that asked the question. I begging my answer enough.
I didn't really there was there was a pause.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
I mean, Grant said nothing, you were sitting there with
this Chihawn can't look at your face exact would seemed like.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
He was afraid to say anything, like how many jokes
can I get away?

Speaker 2 (31:51):
How many jokes.

Speaker 6 (31:53):
You know, Well he talked about the last time Lil
Wayne charted, when it was the last time Chris Brown charted.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
That's a good question.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
Well, let's Chris has turned into one of those guys
even though he's not a rapper where he's kind of
featured on a lot of tracks. But we're talking about
catalog and performance, so that's what we're talking about. Well,
he's like Usher, He's like Diet Usher.

Speaker 5 (32:15):
Yeah, but I think he's a better entertainer.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
I mean he's got he's got at least twenty tracks
at Charty, just like as long as you got a
catalog big enough, it's got at.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Least twenty songs at Charter.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
But he's not dancing, No, you just kid anymore.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
It's like he's like the Bob Dylan of rap.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Now here's here's the thing I did notice, because that
didna say anything at all.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
I gotta say it. We got to hit a break,
put it back.
