Yeah, I got another story about somebody falling through the ice.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
This is like the I feel like this is the
fourth story this week.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Not this week, but you know, we've had dogs that
have been rescued, a deer most Yeah. Well this time
it was two kids, age sixteen and twelve. They fell
through an ice pond in Virginia. Couldn't get out, but
luckily one of the kids, the twelve year old, had
an iPhone. It was in his pocket, got wet, but
still worked used it to call nine one one. Now
(01:59):
here's the his mom, Melissa Herman, and Jackson Herman talking
about the rescue.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
I caught the boys on the pond earlier in the
day and I told them that it wasn't safe and
to stay off the pond. There's no way I was
going to pull him out, So we both fell in
about the same time. It was less than like thirty
seconds before I was in with him. I couldn't feel
anything from my neck down. I barely could walk. But
whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I guess.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, the phone worked when he called nine to one one.
It took about ten minutes for the rescuers to get there,
and the boys were like clinging onto the ice, but
they got him out safely. But moral of the story.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Might want to listen to your mom.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Might want to listen to you, because my mom.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Would have been on the news saying, yeah, well, I'm
gonna wear his butt out once the cameras are off there.
I would have left his butt in there.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
You would have been more afraid of your mother than
the ice as Oh my god. Yeah, all right, there
you go.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Today's good news.
