pivot because of a series of interestingevents. We're going to get all into
that in the Nightcap, but first, thank you so much for listening to

Monday through Friday two to six pm. I'm live on the radio. Wait,
New York City two to six pm. Live on the radio. Yeah,
I'm on tons of stations across thecountry on the weekends. Check which
ones on everything. I'm at LaCrystal Rosas and yeah, that's pretty much
that on that. Let's I'm yeahlow energy today. I'm very, very
(01:57):
tired, And that's just how itis. Sometimes I'm like happy, but
I have so much work to do, but good work to do. I'm
just tired. That's why my energyis like down, down, down,
down down. But I'm really happyto be here. I'm happy that we're
hanging out, and I have somuch to get to so let's just get
into it right now. Sit back, relax, It's Crystal's nightcap. Last
(02:30):
we chatted, I told you Iwas going to hang out with my bestie
from college. Now. I wentto community college for the first few years,
and then I transferred to cal StateEast Bay in Hayward, California.
While I was at community college, one of my primas went to cal Berkeley
and lived at the dorms. Somy freshman year I pretty much squatted at
(02:51):
her dorm for our entire freshman yearat cal Berkeley, and I also lived
with her roommate. Now, whenshe was moving into cal Berkeley to the
dorms, my prima, we werekind of nervous if we're going to get
along with the roommy how she wasgoing to be all this, this and
that. But we ended up beingbest best friends, the three of us.
(03:12):
We would go out to the partiestogether, we would do so much
together. We would just laugh andjoke and it was so much fun.
And we've stayed friends ever since. And if anything, I've even been a
little more closer to the roommates sometimesthan my own cousin. But I'm just
so thankful that after all these years, we catch up whenever we can,
(03:32):
and it's still like nothing. Shelives in Chicago, so I got to
see her one time when I wentto visit Chicago, and sometimes she would
come to the Bay when I livedback in the Bay and she would visit.
But now she was visiting for NewYork. So she asked if we
can get some drinks, and shebooked me and her and her boyfriend and
her boyfriend's friend a jazz night atthis place called Dizzy's Club Jazz at Lincoln
(03:57):
Center at Central Park. It's prettymuch Columbus Circle. Is so cute.
Oh my gosh, it is suchlike a New York vibe. It's a
flu, a flu. I'm sotired. It's a few floors up,
so you see the New York Citybackground and the back while you're watching the
jazz, the jazz squad, thejazz band play and oh my gosh,
(04:20):
if you were in New York Cityand you just want to like an authentic,
like jazzy night, I would saydefinitely get your tickets for disease because
it was so everything. So we'reable to watch jazz. I've never I
went to Jazz Week this year,if you remember, with one of my
BFFs, Michelle, but I neverreally sat down like that at a different
(04:42):
club to watch jazz before. Andit is really cool, very I'm really
appreciating the arts. So I lovedthat. For us, we went to
Disease, and then after Dizzase,we wanted to go to get another little
nightcap somewhere, so I took themto my favorite Speak Easy, And I've
mentioned it before. It's called MadameGeorge, kind of in the Midtown area,
(05:02):
ish around sixth and fifty something aroundthere at fifty a second. I
believe so fun. I love MadameGeorge. It's a low key lounge.
It's not a club or anything. It's a lounge. They have the coolest
craft cocktails and it's legit speak Easy, like the coolest Speak Easy I think
(05:24):
in all of New York City.So we were there and me and Paige
we were just going over like memoriesfrom college and our ratchet days. She
was in a sorority and I wouldjust like go and like mooch off of
all of her sorority like fun thingsthat they always had, like oh,
it's just crazy. And when Pagewas introducing me to her boyfriend and she
(05:45):
told me, yeah, I toldhim this is my friend that I told
you in college, and she piercedmy ear and I was like, wait
what, She's like, yeah,I remember you pierced my ear with a
thumbtack. I was like, ohmy god, are you okay. College
for me was just such a crazytime because I was working so much.
A lot of the things I don'teven remember. She said, yeah,
I remember. You would come withyour catering clothes after your catering shift and
(06:11):
you would smell like food, butyou would always bring us leftovers, and
then you would come after pasta pelican. And then when you started working at
the radio station, you were justleaving, like in the middle of the
night. Good girl would leave inthe middle of the night and then come
back in her catering clothes. Idon't know how you did all that.
It was the most chaotic years ofmy life. Was my early twenties,
(06:31):
like twenty like nineteen eighteen, nineteento twenty four, twenty five were so
crazy for me. It was justnon stop. And then on top of
the work that I would do,I would party hard. I would party
hard and I had the energy forthat, so it was just crazy.
But yeah, she was there forall of those developmental years for me.
(06:55):
She was there when I went togo interview for the internship with wild Dy
for nine, which is the equivalentto the top forty station here, which
is Z one hundred. But whileDendy for nine in San Francisco was a
radio station that I first started interningat and got me at my foot in
the door into radio. So shewas there when I first started interning for
Wildney for nine. She was therewhen I got on the JV show and
(07:17):
started doing all that, so shewas there for all of it. And
she was always rooting me on andalways so supportive. So it was my
prima. So it was just reallyfun catching up. And we're talking about
when we would go to the frickingHouse parties on Frat Row and Berkeley.
Oh my goodness, sayed Kai.She was in Tri Delt. It was
(07:40):
just wild. It was unhinged,it really was. Her sorority would pick
us up. A lot of uswere underage, by the way, would
pick us up in a party bus. There would be like three buses in
a row and then the sorority girlswould be able to bring a date or
a friend. Actually they were supposedto bring a date, but Page did
(08:01):
always just bring me. She wouldnever bring a day. She would always
bring me. They would pick usup, take us to San Francisco to
a club. I remember the Rubies, Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh,
Rubies. And the club was onlyallowed to serve alcohol to twenty one
and over. But like obviously wewould sneak our own in or would force
be able to buy drinks for us, and we would just party and then
(08:24):
we'd get back on the bus,and then another bus is coming in after
us. So it's like when you'rea freshman, like no, when you're
like a sophomore, or like afreshman rushing. I think she was a
sophomore when she rushed, Like youhave to go first and leave first early,
and then like the older kids, the older grades coming later. It
was just so crazy, I mean, our Berkeley escapades. And not only
(08:46):
that, I had to I hadto graduate school. Like I was taking
classes at the same time, andI was a business major, so I
was taking hard classes at community collegeand at cal State East Bay, and
some of them were like finance andcalculus, and I just remember from my
finance classes that was just so hardfor me. I would literally go to
(09:07):
the library with my prima and shewould be like taking my tests with me
and for me, because I reallywas going to fail if I didn't get
help from her because I was justworking so much. I had to work
so much to pay for school,so if I didn't work, I wasn't
going to be able to pay formy college classes. So instead of just
(09:28):
focusing on school and studying, Iwould just be working all the time.
And I was just so exhausted fromworking and school and partying that I didn't
study a lot. I'm sure ifI studied more, I would have done
better in some of those classes thatwas really hard for me because I was
I just really studied struggled with financeand econ and math, so like those
(09:56):
types of classes were really hard forme. But the arts and writing and
all those were really easy for me. I was always really good at stuff
like that, but it was themath stuff and the finance stuff that just
did not make sense to me.So thank God for my putting a mole
that literally helped me graduate. Andthen when I was at East Bay doing
my classes for my major, liketo graduate my four year I stayed school.
(10:22):
We kind of had a falling out, so I just had to suck
it up and study, and Idid. And I'm really proud of myself
that I was able to pass someof those classes like business Calculus. I
studied my booty off and passed myselfstatistics things like that that were super hard
for me. Some other of myfinance classes, I was able to just
like suck it up and do itand study. But by that time my
(10:46):
last year of college, I pushedall my hard classes to my last year,
and luckily by that time I wasable. I was now on the
morning show, so I was Iwas serving during the day. I didn't
have to cater at night because whenI was interning, I was doing that
for free, so I was takingup my free time was interning. But
(11:09):
then when I got a job onthe morning show, I had a consistent
paycheck with them, so I didthe morning show and then I after the
morning show, I would go andserve at Pasta Pelican until three, and
then I was able to take mynight classes and study from three to ten,
so it was cooler and sometimes andthen I would I was I was
actually able to study and do homeworkduring pasta pelican if it was slow during
(11:31):
the the lunch times while I wasa server, and my boss was really
cool and he was totally okay withme doing that, and I would even
take quizzes sometimes while I was internon the morning show, like in between
breaks when we were done with stufffor whatever it was. That was a
very tough time and we were alljust like laughing about how crazy college it
was. I remember I would justlike come home late from catering and I
(11:52):
would go to the dorm with myBree and mine with Page. I just
remember seeing because Page would pull allnight. She was a queen of all
nighters. I didn't pull all nightersbecause I was so exhausted from the whole
day, but she would pull allnighters. I remember pulling up sometimes at
like ten eleven, maybe twelve, and she's just curled up on the bed
(12:13):
with like a coffee and snacks andjust like fifty shades of gray under her
eyes intensely with the nightlight, likereading her books and like studying because my
prema was sleeping. Because my Premawould like live at the library and study
there and get sleep. But forsome reason, Page she would just pull
all nighters and that's how she wouldstudy and it would always work like she
(12:35):
would get good grades. After thaticonic killing it, she graduated cal Berkeley.
So proud of her, and thenshe just went hard with the coding
and now she's a coder and she'sa woman in this computer space, and
I'm very very proud of her,one of the very few women. Like
obviously we all know that in thecomputer in the IT world, it's heavily
(12:58):
men driven, and so Paige reallysucked it up and she applied to so
many jobs and she's killing it.She's living her best life. You know,
we all have stripes with our ownjobs and stuff like that. It's
never ever going to be perfect. And she's still I think we all are
still one hundred percent trying to findour passion or trying to find our nest
where we just feel really comfortable whenmaybe it's not going to ever be fully
(13:22):
comfortable. But you know, wewere just talking and sharing those struggles within
ourselves and just sharing how far we'vecome from those cringe ey outfits at the
frat parties, from like making outwith strangers, complete strangers, watching pages
life at cows always so funny becauseshe was just going that's when like tinder
(13:43):
first started, you, guys,Tinder first started when I was a freshman.
Like, yeah, when I wasaround a freshman in college, and
so I wasn't on that. Iwasn't on that, but she was going
hard on tender and she like everyweek would have like two or three dates
(14:03):
and just killing it, killing it. And it was always so fun to
see that, and just all ofthe different guys that we dated around those
times. It is always funny lookingback and they're just saying where we're at
now? And she was reminding methat I would tell her so often that
I really wanted to be and livein New York and do radio in New
York. And she was telling methat a lot of the things that I
told her I wanted to do andwas going to do, I ended up
(14:24):
doing. And it's just so cool, and I'm so thankful that we get
to rekindle and re reunite and goover Like I said, all those hilarious
moments from the craziest time of mylife, which was college and a few
years after that, so love her, love catching up. How is your
(14:45):
college experience? How are your earlydevelopmental twenties? So chaotic? Right?
So many mistakes, so many ohso many fun, crazy, ratchet wild
times. I really feel like Ilived it to the max. I'm really
thankful for my parents for that, because, as you know, they let
me live under their roof and whenit was really really tough for me,
and my mom was always like, hear me, how I got your books
(15:07):
or I'll help you out with this, and that I knew that they always
had my back, but I neverwanted them to pay or feel like they
needed to cover my school. Soit was awesome, Like it was a
crazy, awesome, amazing ratchet time. I learned a lot, it grew
a lot, and that was mycollege experience for you that haven't been listening
(15:31):
since our sin six hundred episodes ago, but No Frilla was so great catching
up with her and just reliving allof that and just seeing from where I've
been there too. Now we've grown, we've done a lot, we for
show have but some things that havenot changed, as me trying to go
to Vegas to get even more aratchet. I was so excited because I
(15:52):
was headed to Vegas after work onFriday night to celebrate my good friend as
Selena's bachelorette. Selena was on theJV show. She was Mike number two.
She was the only other female onthe show. I started when she
had been on the show for afew years already as an intern. I
was intern and she was a host, and her and I have always had
(16:14):
like this funny relationship where like shewas older than me and had a daughter
and had a good job at Wildneyfour nine, and I was just like
a little intern running around always tryingto be her friend. We were friends
though, and we are friends, and it was just it was just funny
because she has like a whole lifeof being a mom, and like I
would want her to come with meto do things or invite her to do
(16:37):
stuff, but she has mom life, so it wasn't always eye to eye
in that sense. But for likeher birthdays, we would hang out.
She would come to club nights withme when I was first interning. I
would go to club nights with herwhen she was hosting yos. Oh my
god, this is so crazy,Like it was just wild and it was
such a good fun time. Andafter all these years of me and radio
with her, she is getting maddSo I was so thankful that she invited
(17:04):
me to her bachelorette party in LasVegas with her sisters and her cousins and
some of her close friends. Therewas going to be a group of about
eleven of us, and I hadbought my plane tickets, I had paid
for the airbnb, I had boughtthe drag brunch tickets. I had bought
tickets for Magic Mike thought we weregoing to go watch and I was so
excited. So I skipped over tothe airport and then my flight gets delayed
(17:26):
an hour, and then my flightgets delayed another hour, and now it's
like nine thirty. I was supposedto leave at like seven thirty. And
I'm getting text from my mom like, miha, there are severe floods and
storms and monsoons going on in Vegasright now. Are you sure you're gonna
(17:48):
go? And I'm like, aya, Mom, what do you mean?
Like at no little drizzle monsoon,I'm gonna stop me from throwing it back
and getting a lap dance at MagicMine seeing the chipping dales. So I'm
just sending there, waiting patiently andthen I get a text from Zaddi,
my best friend and ex boyfriend, and he's like, Yo, this is
(18:11):
looking crazy for Vegas. I knowyou're supposed to be going, but did
you see these floods? And He'ssending me videos and articles and I'm just
like, as I told you,Zaddie, I'm gonna get lap danced by
a man and a thong. I'mabsolutely still going to Vegas. Ain't nobody
gonna stop me. And then aboutan hour later, my flag gets canceled,
(18:32):
so there's not a way for meto go to Vegas. And I
want to just get read. Iwant to just get to the West Coast,
like I just want to get overthere. Somehow. I have a
three day weekend. I took aMonday off. I'm at least gonna see
my family. I'm last gonna seeme. I'm gonna do something. So
I was able to switch my flightfrom Vegas to lax Coincidentally, Zaddy was
(18:56):
going to be in la that weekendworking a little bit, and we kind
of were discussing and he was like, why don't you come through? And
I was like absolutely, So Iwas able to reroute to lax So I
landed in La I took a rideshare to meet a Zaddi at his Airbnb,
and him and his friends are screamingat the top of their lungs,
(19:19):
frustrated because they saw a roach inone of the rooms. And I get
into the airbnb and I'm not gonnalie. It's really nice on the inside,
like super super modern, nice, clean cut, no problems. You
don't when you book an airb I'venever, officially, I think I've booked
one Airbnb in my life. Whenyou book air and b's, it gives
(19:41):
you the general location in a circle, but sometimes they be cappin and the
location said it was going to bearound Culver City area. But this airbnb
was in Englewood, and I wasa little nervous because I heard Inglewood ain't
the best place ever. But whenI was in the ride share on though
I was actually in a taxi. When I was in the taxi on the
way there, I asked him,I'm like, is this this safe location?
Like? Am I okay? BecauseI'm meeting some friends here and I
(20:03):
don't know about this. He's like, actually, no, like you're in
a safe place. Some parts ofInglewood are really bad, but this place
is good. Remember I'm from theBay Area. I'm from Oakland in the
San Francisco area. I'm not fromLA so I'm even though I visited LA
more than a handful of times,I usually stay in like the real touristy
areas. I'm never in the suburbsor borrow who's burrows of LA. So
I've never stayed in Inglewood. AndI was a little nervous. But the
(20:26):
taxi driver said it was fine.So it was cool, and but inside
it was really nice. But everyoneinside is panicking about this cockroach. I'm
like, guys, chill out. It's just a little bug. Who cares.
Zaddy hates bugs, honestly, kindof a nick because as a man,
you shouldn't love bugs, but youshouldn't be afraid of them. It's
(20:48):
your duty to kale bugs as agrown man, as a six foot four
or five man, you should notbe squirming at the thought of bugs.
If I'm not. But maybe it'sjust because I'm so used to the roaches
here in New York City that itreally doesn't even phase me. So they're
all panicked trying to contact Airbnb, saying they found a disgusting roach and don't
(21:11):
want to sleep there. And thething is, we need evidence now of
said roach. So we now haveto find said roach around the bedroom.
So we're lifting up the bed, can't find it, looking into the corners,
can't find it, like taking thesheets off the bed, can't find
it. Looking in the bathroom, looking at the closet, looking for this
roach, and someone goes, itcould be behind the painting on the wall.
(21:37):
So Zad He's like, well,I'm not going to reach over.
He's the big he's the biggest guyhere, like out of all everybody.
And we're just like, yeah, yeah, you're gonna have to like move
the painting or something to try.We need a photo of the roach.
So he's freaking out, doesn't knowhow to do this. I'm like,
listen, grab the pillow and juststart hitting the painting with the pillow.
Maybe the roach we'll like fall downor like squirm away. So he starts
doing that, and I have actualvideo evidence and I will play for you
(22:00):
here in the middle. I wantedto come your way, all right,
but I need people out of here. You guys out, You get out
of the room, please, becausewe gotta like tying escape. Oh yeah,
Yeah, they're scared, that's why. Oh no, that was fake.
(22:32):
You could hear it in their voices. They were so angry that they
were the men of the house andthey had to figure it out. But
they did. They did round ofapplause. All right, that's just what
a man's gotta do. I gottalook cute when I got to record the
video, and I got an exceptionalphoto of the roach. If you would
like to go check it out LackCrystal Little Sus on Instagram, on everything
(22:53):
at Lack Cristal Little Sauce l Ac R Y S t A l R
O s A S. Because wewere kind of I was arguing with them
about staying at the house. Theywere like, no, we need to
leave. Especially Daddy's like I hatebugs. I'm not staying here. If
there's one roach, there's probably helloroaches. And I'm like, it's just
a roach, just kill it.If we would have killed that roach,
there would have been a roach juiceall over that room, that's how big
(23:14):
the dying roach was. But abouteighty comments and almost all of you said
that you would also leave and askAirbnb for a refund, and also they
should have paid for our hotels. We're still we're still in coats about that
and conversating with Airbnb because we hadto book a whole like all hotel rooms.
It was way more expensive because ofit, so it was just a
(23:36):
cluster f but we schedaddled. Weended up going to a different hotel,
and then the next day, wethe girls, we were just relaxing a
little bit. We went to themall, we went to Starves. We
just kind of lived our best liveswhile the boys were working because it was
kind of like a business trip forthem, so they had to do that
and we were living our best lives. We went to Roscoe's House of Chicken
(24:00):
offles. We waited in line forlike forty five minutes for that and it
was amazing. And then we wentto the mall and then we just kind
of like hung out, and thenwe went back to Zaddie's friend's house and
we were able to swim a littlebit and we just kind of relaxed,
and then we went to an amazingChinese restaurant and then we packed our bags
and we left because I kind ofconvinced everybody to go to Disneyland the next
(24:25):
day. Now I really wanted togo to Vegas to the bachelorette party.
But the problem was that flights fromLax to Vegas were like crazy, ridiculous
because it was a holiday weekend. It was like Labor Day weekend, so
like the amount of money I wouldhave spent, it would have like tripped
a flight tripled, like a flightshould be fifty sixty bucks, but they
(24:45):
were like three hundred, four hundred, and I was just like, yo,
that is ridiculous. I already spentso much on the Bachelorette I really
just I cannot right now. I'mjust gonna stay here and thank you Zaddie
for taking me to Disneyland. Sowe decided as a crew of good to
Disneyland and we booked it to Anaheim. That night, fell asleep at the
(25:07):
hotel. I slept like a baby. I slept like a baby. But
the problem was the Hilton hotel acrossthe street was protesting because of it was
Labor Day weekend and they're protesting theirlow wages, as they should, and
the problem was that it was obviouslyinterrupting all of the guests there, and
(25:30):
it was interrupting all the guests infront of their hotel I could sleep through
a tornado, I could sleep throughWorld War three, I could sleep through
anything. And Zaddy is not likethat. Poor thing. He woke up
when the protesters started at three inthe morning. And now I'm going to
play the audio of the protesters thatwere protesting from three in the morning to
(25:52):
three in the afternoon that next day. Yeah. Yeah. And on top
(26:18):
of that, we had a balconyroom, so we had half of our
wall that was a sliding glass door, so it was really easy to hear
if you're someone that has sleeping sensitivityissues, if you're a rock like me,
there's no problem. But poor Zaddy, like he could just could not
sleep. He is a sensitive sleeper, so he was up from three in
(26:38):
the morning till six in the morning. He went down to the lobby and
they were like, we could giveyou four dollars food voucher and he's like,
it's three in the morning. Idon't want to eat anything. I
don't want a food voucher. Like, what are we gonna do here?
He's like, well, we cannotdo anything until the manager gets in in
the morning. And the rooms werefull, so we weren't able to move
to a room on the opposite side, maybe without a balcony. So poor
(27:02):
thing, like he was just incrediblysleep deprived. But I woke us up
at seven in the morning because Iwant to go to Disneyland, and I
like to get there when they're ropedrops, because I like to be there
right from the beginning of Disneyland.I like to take in my good old
fourteen hours of Disney if I can. So we got up. We bought
our little backpack at the store. We filled it up with water bottles,
(27:23):
and we just skipped on over toDisneyland. Oh my god, we got
a park copper. This is thefirst time I did a park copper because
we only had one day there andZaddy was so adamant about the park Copper.
And so we're there and automatically, duh, right, number one Indiana
Jones Shoo, my favorite ride, the best ride ever, also Zaddy's favorite
(27:45):
ride. So we get out ofthe way and then we hit Madder Horn
and then we're just going around, you know, we're going around doing the
things. We hit Haunted Mansion andthen by that time Zaddy's friends get up
and meet up. They were like, we ain't trying to get up at
seven in the morning to go toDisneyland, but we'll meet you at eleven.
So we meet that at eleven rightby Haunted Mansion. They have like
(28:07):
lobster rolls and clam chatterer bulls,So me and Zaddie are discar from that
down and then there's info booth rightthere. One of Zaddy's friends has a
we'll call it a disorder where heis allowed to get fast passes because of
his disorder. So we had alreadybought the Genie passes, but then on
(28:30):
top of his disorder, he canbring friends along for fast passes, so
essentially we get double fast passes, which is just a blessing. You know,
God did like, I think it'sreally tough for people to live with
disorders, and I would never praythat upon anyone, but if you do
have some type of disability or disorder, I'm glad that I'm someone around you
(28:52):
that can benefit from that. Soclaps to him. We were able to
get double Genie passes. So nowwe are running from one ride to another
to another, stopping for a creamcheese filled pretzel, running to another ride,
and then we get on Space Mountain, which is after Indiana Jones my
Apex. So we get to SpaceMountain and we're riding. My hands are
(29:17):
in the air, my hair's flyingeverywhere, and all of a sudden we
stop and I'm like, oh mygod, guys, I have manifested this
for years. I have prayed forthis. I think we are getting stuck
on Space Mountain right now. Andwhen the lights turn on, excuse me,
everyone, there are some difficulties.Hopefully we'll be back on the tracks
(29:38):
from the next thirty minutes. AndI'm like, yes, yes, yes,
oh my gosh, and I justscream. I'm like, you,
guys, I've always wanted to beso cusemount Space Mountain. This is the
best thing ever. Oh my god, Oh my god. I'm so juiced,
I'm so jewsed. So I'm justlike living my best life. I'm
recording everything like it is just iconic. I am being able to see space
Man with Space Mountain with the lightson. Now, I'm someone that's very,
(30:00):
very overly blessed. When I wasgrowing up, my parents used to
take us to Disneyland all the time. And then when I started well,
honestly, when I before I startedon the radio, I was a prize
pig and I would win Disneyland ticketson the radio all the time. And
then when I started working on theradio, we work with Disney, so
we get free Disneylant tickets at leastonce a year. So I was just
(30:22):
like, oh my god, becauseI've been to Disneyland so many times and
I loved Disneyland, and I've nevergone stuck on Space Mound, but I've
heard of so many people that have, or like so many situations where Space
Mountain is closed for now, andI'm just like, oh, I've always
wanted to do that. Let metell you, it was a hoot.
It was just I wish I hadpopcorn to just be eating while I'm looking
around at Space Mountain with the lightson, Like not everyone can say they
(30:45):
did that. And I was justso thankful. I was just so blessed.
I was just taking it in andI wasn't nervous, like I knew
that it wasn't like a got bigof a deal. But the girl next
to me, she is a Disneyfanatic, and she has asked why Space
Mound breaks down all the time. Here is the behind the scenes. Here
is the backstory of why rides likeSpace Mountain and Indiana Jones. Certain rides
(31:08):
maybe Matterhorn as well, are constantlygetting stopped. It's because they are on
a time crunch. Have you evernoticed that on those rides the cast members
are really always trying to rush youout and in. They're like, come
on, get out, get out, get out, all right, go
in, go and go in seatput seabolts, please raise please race?
Hey are you raised good? Okay, we are ready to go. Thumbs
up. The reason that they're alwayspressuring you to get in and get out
(31:32):
really fast, any because they careabout you, any because they want you
to experience the ride. Now,it's because if they are just a second
or two off from this like timerthat they should be getting you in and
out, then it messes up theentire system of the ride, the computer,
and now they have to reset becausethe computer thinks that there is like
(31:55):
a safety issue going on. That'swhat I heard. That's what I heard.
So when we were stuck on theride, she was telling me,
she was like, now they're gonnacome and manually push us down. I
was like, what, because there'sabout there's like on Space Mount at one
time. I believe from what Iwas able to count. There are like
four or five cars on the tracklike inside of the ride at one time
(32:19):
going off, so we were carnumber like three. So I was like,
wait, they're gonna like have tomanually push us all the way down.
She's like yeah, they're gonna comeupand they're gonna give us a push
and then we're gonna ride down.I'm like, this is iconic. I
was like, they're gonna keep thelights on, right, She's like yes,
And I was like, oh mygosh, best day ever. So
within a few minutes, I wantto say, like maybe like ten,
yeah, probably ten or a littlemore, not too much, but again,
(32:43):
I'm living my best life. Wefinally see the the cast members come
up and they're like, hey, everyone, please keep your seat belts on.
We can't really take them off. Please keep your hands in. We're
gonna give you a push and you'regonna go like normal. We said awesome.
So yeah, so they push usand the lights are on and him
and we go, buddy, weare just like finishing our ride and it's
just faster than ever, and likewe are just up and down and then
(33:06):
we get the picture. Oh mygosh. It was just the best thing.
In the whole world. I amso thankful, I am so blessed,
Like I don't know what I didto deserve this, but I finally
got stuck on Space Mountain and itwas everything I wanted in more other than
I wish I had a cream cheesepretzel my and Zaddy's backpack that I had
stashed in there to eat while Iwas sitting on that. But it was
iconic. It was iconic. Sothen after that we ran around a little
(33:30):
bit more and then we headed overto Disney's California Adventure. Of course we
have to do my favorite Grizzly, the Grizzly water ride, where you're on
a raft you're just running down themountain. Zaddy didn't really like that one.
I think it was just a sensoryoverload for him because you're on an
uncontrolled, spinning, inflatable tire andyou have the option of getting soaked in
(33:52):
wet. He wasn't vibing with thatone, which is okay. But then
we went on California's Screaming We didGuardians of the Galaxy, which I have
to tell you they switched up forthe Halloween season, and it just I
didn't like it. I didn't likethe soundtrack of it. I didn't like
the animation that they did with theGuardians of the Galaxy for this new revamp
just for the holidays. So Imean the ride itself obviously is still so
(34:15):
fun, but it just wasn't itfor me. And then there's actually I
forgot to mention this, there isa new ride in Tunetown called like Mickey
and Minnie's Train, a Twisted TrainAdventure or something, and it is so
cool. It's like it's it's ascary ride, kind of you're in a
car and it's kind of giving alittle bit of it's a small world if
(34:37):
it's a small world was mixed withdigital, and the plot of it is
Mickey and Mini are going on acute, little romantic train ride, but
everything keeps messing up, so it'skind of like scary a little bit.
But the digital, the way thatthey intertwined real like animatronics with digital and
(35:00):
digital like print and postage, it'sjust very different and it's very cool.
Ten out of ten recommend So thatwas that was back in Disneyland. Sorry,
we did time travel a little bitbecause I was a little out of
chronologically order. Now we're time travelingback to Disney California Adventure. We do
the flying swings we do I'm alwaysgoing to call it California Screaming, but
(35:24):
now it's an incredible Incredi coaster. So we do that. We just did
everything we did Monsters Inc. Whichis my favorite. I love Monsters Inc.
We get some beers. We drinka tiny bit, not a lot.
I'm it's honestly it was me thatwas drinking. I told you,
Orty. Zaddy didn't like to drink, so he wasn't really drinking at all.
(35:45):
And then we just are having areally good time. Like Zaddy's friends
are so fun, They're so awesome, They're so easy to travel with.
They're just down. We're just kindof like laughing and joking. We're trying
to strategically plan. Okay, what'sthe next word? Which one do we
have next? Okay, let's goon Rides of the Resistance, the Star
Wars one, which is so goodI think out of I think that's like,
(36:07):
is that my new favorite one?Where I think Rise of the Resistance
might be my favorite one. I'venever really been on that one for sure.
Still, Indiana Joe is always inmy heart. But Rise of the
Resistance that was a good one.I got to go to the Star Wars
bar for the first time and thatwas so cute. Mad expensive, but
so cute. Mad cramped and crowded, but very cute. There's even a
(36:29):
robot DJ like Djane. That wasa vibe. And then yeah, we
ended up more at down at CaliforniaAdventure and just did all the things we
ate schwarmas, which is kind oflike a gyro delicious ten out of ten.
I need to get my chimmy chongga. And I did have three cream
(36:49):
cheese filled pretzels. Didn't break myrecord of four in one day, but
got pretty close. I have myOur Heart Radio music festival coming up in
a few weekends in and I wassupposed to be snatched, and I have
an outfit that I do not fitin and it looks like it's looking like
I'm gonna be spilling out of thatoutfit in Vegas. Whatever. I'm gonna
live my best life. It's fine. I really did not expect to go
(37:10):
to Disney. I actually was thinkingthe other day. I was like,
I am so sad that last summerI didn't go to Disneyland, and this
is going to be another summer whyI don't go to Disneyland. But when
it didn't work out going to Vegasfor the Bachelorette, I'm just like,
well, at least this worked outfor me. At least I'm gonna be
able to go to Disneyland. SoI was just so happy that we went
to Disneyland. And then at theend of the night, poor little Zaddy
(37:32):
because he got absolutely no sleep,he was so tired, so we called
it a little early, but therest of the crew went out. They
continued in downtown Disney. They wenton more rides at Disneyland, because remember
Disneyland closes at twelve, and weended at California Adventure at ten. And
yeah, then that was our nightat Disneyland, and it was iconic,
(37:54):
so fun. I really wish thatI was able to go to Vegas with
the girlies, and I'm really sadthat I missed that for Selena. But
I know that they had a goodtime anyways, and I know that they're
living up their ratchet. That musthave been a really really, really really
fun trip. But I was justit was impossible for me to get over
there, so that is what happenedwith that. I'm really thankful that I
(38:16):
got to spend time with Saddie andspend time with his friends. He tells
me so much about them, andI finally got to meet them, and
it was they're like they're they're reallyas great as he's been mentioning them.
So you could tell a lot aboutsomeone just by their friends and how they
interact. And I was really thankfulthat they were really inclusive about me and
we're asking questions about me and likecared to get to know me, and
(38:39):
they were like, oh, yeah, we like to have trips. Hopefully
you can come on the next one. And that was just so cute,
Like I would really love to,you know, be included and stuff like
that with him and his friends becausethey were they were at vibe and like
it was all couples. So itjust felt like a very adulting type of
situation, Like I've never had aguy that I dated. I've never gone
on like their friendships or anything likethat. Like even even with even with
(39:04):
stepping Stone, like that, wewere so young, and like the guys
that he hung out with were justvery toxic. They wouldn't really want the
girls to hang out, so itwas just never really it for me for
that, but just seeing how likeZady and hit he has very few friends,
but he's very very close to them, and seeing how they interact and
(39:25):
how just chill and cool and funthey are, I just felt very normal.
It felt very normal, I feltvery included, and I just was
very thankful of how hospitable they werefor me barging in on their trip last
minute. So that was the weekend, and of course we hung out with
miss Selena Gomez at last week Ialmost forgot to mention that please watch an
(39:46):
interview at Ze one hundred dot com. She is so sweet, She's so
down to earth, she's so downto chat. I always say this about
her when people ask me, whohas been the best celebrity that you've encountered,
the nicest, the coolest, away, say Selena Gomez, like she
number one ten out of ten,has always and I've seen her only one
other time, but she just lightsup a room. She's so sweet and
(40:09):
everyone says the same things about her. Number two, Ed Sharon is just
like the coolest, chilliest guy ever, And they will always be my top
two. But given the fact thatI'm actually able to interview interview Selena Gomez's
time, even though it's just onzoom. So nice, so cool,
and it's very very thankful that Iwas able to interview her last time.
I was still like, I wasstill just like I think, a associate
(40:35):
producer on the JV Show, soI wasn't I didn't interview them obviously like
JV and Selena did and they killedit. And she's just always so nice.
But I was able to take apicture with her, and she was
just so sweet to me. Andplease, please please go check out the
interview with Selena Gomez at YouTube onRZ one hundred New York page. I
want to share this clip where shetalks about her Rare Beauty Impact Fund and
it's goal is to raise one hundredmillion dollars in ten years to help underserved
(41:00):
communities around the country and also tohelp people in the mental health space.
With the Impact Fund, I knowyou're having your first annual Rare Impact Galati,
we're October fourth. What made youfeel like, Okay, we need
to make this a thing. Ilove that you're doing this. I'm very
excited. I well, because sobasically, the Rare Impact Fund is one
(41:21):
percent of my sales and we'll doproducts where one hundred percent of the sales
go straight to my Impact Fund, which is raises awareness and we want to
have our goal is in ten yearsto raise one hundred million for all underserved
communities, places and organizations all overthe world. So it's been really wonderful.
But to do the Gallet's something I'vealways wanted to do and I think
(41:44):
I'm pretty lucky that I have somestrong, you know, cool people in
my life that want to help andI want to give back. So it's
an opportunity to have a great nightand hopefully make make a lot of noise
about you know, and what we'redoing in the mental health space. Slate
of goal mez doing for the people. Yes, Where Beauty is her makeup
line, you know that. Soyou just heard that one percent of profits
(42:06):
from Where a Beauty go to theImpact Fund, and I just think that
is so amazing. There are somany artists, musicians, celebs that have
their brands and to know that theyactually care in our giving back is huge.
Soap Congress to quit the Queen SelenaGomez again, Please make sure you
check out our interview, leave apositive comment or something, whatever you want
to do. It's on YouTube atZ one hundred, New York. I
(42:30):
just put a lot of work intothat interview, so I was super nervous
about it. I'm very, verythankful that she gave us all the time
and the opportunity. Now this weekI was able to interview Olivia Rodrigold,
one of the other biggest pop staron the planet. Here she is sharing
the first time she heard her songon the radio. Ever. This is
Olivia Rodrigo with Crystal rows Us,Rowse Sauce, Roast Sauce, Rose Sauce
(42:53):
with Crystal Rose Sauce. I'll neverforget the first time I heard my song
playing on the radio. I wasUtah driving with my mom and driver's license
came on the local radio station andI freaked out. Me and my mom
were screaming, and it was justan experience. I'll never forget. Attention.
I'm officially changing my name to Crystalrouse Us. Crystal rouse Us,
(43:14):
Crystal rouse Us, Crystal rouse Us. It's so funny because these are called
liners, so pretty much after interviews, our producer will take the artist into
a studio and the artist will reada whole bunch of lines called liners,
(43:35):
and that's for us to kind oflike play them on our shows or do
whatever. And almost it never fails. Almost every time the artist will get
my name wrong, which is finebecause my last name is not a common
last name for in English. It'sa Spanish last name, Crystal Rosas.
So there's so many funny edits thatI have of artists that get it wrong
(43:55):
but then correct it, and Ieven play those on the radio. I'm
going to have you into a fewof them right now. What's up?
It's Tyl Yaway with Crystal Rosa RoseRosa Rosas. With Crystal Rosas, it's
billboard blanc or Armani white, andyou turn it up with Crystal. How
you say that? You say itagain? Yo yo? What up?
(44:15):
What up? Is Tusi? Whenthe Crystal Rosas? Then I said that
right, Yes you did, Tusi, Yes, you flipping did. Isn't
that so funny? And then wehave my queen Suki Hannah. Of course,
what's up, y'all? It's sukthe god Suky with the good couci
Suking with the good ky Suki Hana, and we with Crystal Rosas. She
(44:36):
really is a goat until amazing interviewwith Stelena Gomez. The interview with Olivia
Rodrigo is going to be up.All needs to not up this week,
so make sure you're on the lookoutfor that. And that pretty much wraps
it up. Another episode of aCrystals at nightcap. Thank you so so
much for listening. Let me justgo over my notes to make sure I
didn't forget anything. Yep, wecleared everything. I love love, love
(45:00):

this podcast. Five stars, nicereview. You know we need that.
(45:23):
And now our motivation for the week, there's a road hold on anyways.
Our motivation for the week, Awakento experience. Awaken to the wondrous nature
of your experience of right now,let yourself be let life be. Let
(45:45):
it all be as magnificent as itis. Goals and special objectives are good,
they're useful, they're satisfying to reach. But there is more to life
than knowing what you want and achievingit. Okay, turn yourself or the
full experience of what is already.Let go for a while of needs,
(46:06):
wants, desires, plans and strategies, and sink into the lush, enveloping
bliss of existence. Requit yourself withthe part of you where all is well
and will ever be linger for atime, as you energize and refresh your
current spirit, feel not merely whatyou or anyone else expects you to feel,
(46:30):
Feel the authentic, uncorrupted feeling ofbeing you here. Now, allow
yourself to be swept away for awhile by the beauty of pure experience.
Then carry with you the new strengthyou gain as you move on through your
life. Awaken to experience. I'vebeen talking about that for so long.
(46:52):
This entire motivation was about being present, and I feel like more than ever
I've been that, and I feellike that's why I've been a lot happier.
I tell you all the time thatme praying to myself and praying with
God and reading prayers is what reallyhas been helping me to be present because
a lot of the times we learnedthat just being with our God is enough
(47:17):
and to not stress or have anxiousthoughts about things because everything will be a
okay and all right. For example, this morning with our interview with Olivia
Rodrigo, there was something that wasbothering me and I knew exactly what it
was, and I was like, you know, Kristian, I need to
stop letting it bother me. Justtake this in. Maybe you're a little
nervous, But maybe maybe you're nervousbecause there's so many people around. When
(47:40):
big stars like Olivia Rodrigo come in, all their label people come, all
the big wigs come, everyone fromall the floors comes up, and it's
it kind of stresses me out, honestly, it really does. And even
during the interview, they're all inthe room watching and it's a little stressful
for me. And I'm already mentallystressed about the interview and then I'm seeing
(48:04):
all of these people, and ofcourse my job is like to be on
but all I kind of want todo is just be by myself and focus
on what I'm about to do,which to some of you may not be
a big deal, like, Okay, you're just gonna do a conversation and
ask some questions. But these interviewsget seen by a lot of people,
and I want to make sure thatI'm doing really good. And I put
a lot of pressure on myself, and I just saw myself getting into that
(48:27):
rut of just uncomfortableness, and tomyself, I had to be like Crystal,
it's gonna be fine, it's goingto be great. Just take a
deep breath, just be present.Don't worry about the people around you,
don't worry about what work you haveto do after work. Just be present.
And that really helped me. It'sreally really hard to be present,
but it's something that's super necessary foryou to feel joy and for you to
feel at peace, and for youto feel grateful for the moment. And
(48:51):
a lot of times, a lotI would want to We're just talking about
my college years and all that, like I was doing a robbery. It's
like I was just trying to goand go and go and go. And
I think that I'm very lucky andthankful that at this moment in my life,
I've been really working on my presenceand it's truly been helping me every
day. So I hope that thatdaily inspiration helped you. What are you
(49:15):
stressed about? What do you haveanxiety about? Just know that the powers
that be, whatever you believe, are already taking care of it. You
are going to be all right,And just stop and smell the roses,
like stop and look at the beautifulsky, Stop and admire the friends around
you that are just there, laughout a joke, or look at things
(49:37):
in awe, because there really isso much preciousness around us, and there's
so many good things around us.And I hope that if you're having trouble
with staying present, trouble with anxietyand stress, that you get a little
help here. And if you needa little extra help, you know where
to hit me on everything. I'mat lack crystal rosas, all right,
Hit me on Snapchat though, ifyou want to talk, because that's the
(49:59):
number one place that I spawned themost. On Snapchat. A lock crystaltless
l A c R Y s TA L R O s A S.
I love love, love you soso so so much, so much,
and I'll see you on the nextone
