Speaker 1 (00:00):
Satisfy you man.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
It was supposed to be the start of a beautiful relationship,
but somebody screwed it all up. Second date update right now,
Juntain and Rich, it's time for second ate update.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Javon, welcome to our show. All right, how are you good?
This is how this works, Shavin. We're going to hear
about a date you went on. We want to hear
how you.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Met the person. And obviously this person's ignoring you. We
want to hear about that. And then we're going to
troubleshoot the date, tell you where we think it might
have gone wrong. Then we're going to call a person.
So welcome to second update, Javon. What's your story?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Okay, So I bet this girl cabrier on Tunder.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
We talked a little bit.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
And then you know, we decided to go out and
ask her out for you know, dinner. So we went
out to dinner and it was actually really a good
time to be. We had a couple of drinkes. I
even made some super jokes because I think I'm funny
that beauty people don't, but she laughed. So I thought
it was a great date. But after the date, I
haven't heard of her at all. She goes to be

(00:54):
how to get any text, how to get the phone calls,
and so I'm just like, I know she got it
because the re receipts were on and it said delivered.
And the only thing I can think of is I
definitely like dropped my water on her. But I said
I was sorry like a hundred times, and she said
it was fun. So I don't know. I don't know
what happened. You know, Valentine's Day is coming up, and

(01:15):
I really kind of would to spend it with her.
I still lives to her, and I just don't know
what I did or rafted.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
All right, can you tell us the same story and
unpinch your nose. It's a sixth season.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I have at.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
That's what I was thinking. First, was like, Oh, you
don't sound like you feel well. Maybe she's sick and
that's why she's not getting.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Back to you.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
She probably doesn't want to kiss you if she got
a cold or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
That you have just miserable, you know, Yeah, I have
a whole other day, but I do have as attention.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Sorry, Yeah, seriously.

Speaker 6 (01:51):
Didn't have it.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Maybe she's a dreamophobe.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
You didn't give to a whole lot in the middle.
But how did the night end, Like, did she talk
about did you guys both talk about going out again?

Speaker 7 (01:59):
We?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, we absolutely did. I thought, you know, we made
a plan to beat up in like a couple of
days because it was the weekend and it was a
busy week. But I reached out throughout the week and
I didn't hear anything back.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Come on, you just want to say, I was telling
us everything. Come on, Javan, tell us everything I did.

Speaker 7 (02:21):
Come on, he's trying to get a situation handled and
weird not.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
This is always so tough when you we do second
eight and it's just like, yeah, everything was great, and
now she's not calling me back, so then we gotta
you know, come on, Jaman.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Was there a kiss good night?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
There wasn't a kiss good night?

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Though, Oh well, then.

Speaker 7 (02:42):
I feel like that's like a kind of a tell
all right, Like it might be something about you, Like
if you're not.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
Getting the kiss at the end of the night, it
would almost be less about let's do this again, because
people will lie to you, right, But if there's a
kiss good night, then you kind of think there's some chemistry.
But there was no kiss.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
There was definitely a long hug good night, but we
didn't kiss.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Now, okay, let's call Cambria and find out why she's
blowing you off.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
The last time you texted her was.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
When it was about three days ago.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Come on, javon three days ago. Okay, all right, we're
gonna call her find out why she's blowing you off.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
All right. Second eight update continues next with John Jaye Rich.
There's step this way, step their way.

Speaker 6 (03:22):
There's step this.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Way, step their way.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
John Jaye Rich.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
In the middle of second update, you got Cambria here,
who went out with this guy Javan. Javan is on
the phone telling us the story. They went out, they
had a good time, right, and he spilt his water
on her, so he thinks maybe that's why she's blowing
him off.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
He said he told jokes and usually people don't.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Like his jokes, but she laughed.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Why don't people usually like your jokes? Javan?

Speaker 3 (03:46):
I don't know. I think I'm funny.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Come on.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Maybe this is his tagline, But if he does that
after he tells his.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Jokes, like why did the kid throw the clock out
the window? I don't know why he wanted to know.
I wanted to make time fly. Come on, come on, kicks
his leg up. Come on.

Speaker 7 (04:05):
But that's an important fact though. If Cambria is laughing
at Javon's jokes, and usually he's not the funniest one
in the room, you usually laugh at someone's jokes that's
not that funny, if you're into them.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Usually give him like a courtesy laugh.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
Oh, it's the first day.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
You don't want to be rude, right, I guess.

Speaker 7 (04:22):
I guess it could be either this is because I
feel bad.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
For you or because I like you.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
All right, Jevan, We're gonna call Cambria find out why
she's blowing you off.

Speaker 7 (04:45):
Hello, Hey, is Cambria there?

Speaker 6 (04:48):
Yeah, this is she.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Hi.

Speaker 7 (04:49):
My name's Peyton. I'm with John Jay and Rich and
we just wanted to talk to you on the radio
really quickly this morning. Do you have time?

Speaker 6 (04:56):
Uh, okay, yes, sure.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
We got a call from a guy who's asking us
for advice.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
He says he met this girl who's you, and you
guys went out and had a good time and we
try to figure out where things went wrong because he
says that you're go see him and we can't figure
it out. And we can't figure it out if everything
he's telling us is true. That's when we call you
to get your side of the story. Okay, so we
are talking about Javonne.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
Oh, Givonne, what do you tell you what he said?

Speaker 1 (05:27):
He spilt some water on you, but he said you
laugh at his jokes.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
And then he's texted a few times as recents three
days ago and he can tell that you read the text,
but you haven't responded.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
Oh well, yeah he did, he did that, But that's
not the way. That's not why like I go to him,
which I didn't even mean to go to him.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Honestly, So why then because we couldn't figure it out.
I feel I feel like he's leaving something out. But
you know, and I was.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
I said to him, I go, come on, Javonne, what
are you leaving out?

Speaker 6 (05:59):
So so yeah, okay, so this is this is what happens.
We went on the date and it was it was cool,
it was nice, and then everything Hunter started snowball. And
when we got to the check, so okay, So first
he made this like little comment of uh he got
the check and it was like, oh, you're she's date

(06:20):
because of how low the bill was, and I was like, okay,
so I let that one pass because we were you know,
we were having a good time.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Everything was cool.

Speaker 6 (06:30):
And then after he finished like signing everything, I noticed
he doesn't leave a tip. So I go like, oh, well,
you know, I didn't no love for the waiter, and
he says, I don't believe in tipping, and I was like, okay,
so how does that work when you're a bartender. That's

(06:52):
the part of it. So afterwards, you know, he's we
finish everything up, we text each other. It was nice.
But then it wasn't until I started scrolling on Instagram
where I noticed that he reposted something and reposted the
same restaurant we went to. Come to find out that

(07:14):
was actually his job. That's the place he barts. Is
that so the only reason that we went there was
because he could use his employee discount because they get
like half off the meal. And and I was I
was so taken it back because I'm the cheap date,

(07:34):
but you took me to get a discount.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
Here and he didn't.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Coworkers, I think, because I think if you've ever worked
in the service industry, I know I have, and I
like always tip, even if people like are terrible like
waiting the table, because you never know, like what's going
on behind the scenes. So it's like, if you work
in that industry, you would be a good tiper normally,
I would think. So that's that makes me even worse.

Speaker 6 (08:00):
Exactly, And that's exactly what I was thinking, And so
I just didn't want to I just did not want
to go in for a second. One ask of finding
that out.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
What I want to say to this, come on, Vaughan,
obvious he was leaving that out. That's what I was saying.
It felt like.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
I feel like if look, if you you get to
go somewhere and you get a discount and that's why
you go there, great, like that's awesome, good for you,
flex that discount, go for it. And then maybe his
buddy was the server, and his buddy was like, don't
worry about tipping me. I know you're like you're struggling
for cash. That would be one thing, but then just
say that like, this is my buddy. He made I
made a deal, Like I'm taking care of him in

(08:39):
a different way.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (08:42):
Or it's interesting to say because it's like if it
was all orchestrated, and if I'm the buddy, I would
be like, yeah, tip me, big show off. For the
date and then I'll just give you the money back.
Why not tip the guy a hundred bucks and just
get it back from your friend. You're so amazing he
had the opportunity to engineer this insane car.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
I'm there, Van is on the phone your thoughts.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
I try to confuse because I don't understand what the
problem is with getting the discount, and I don't understand
what tipping had to do with any of the way
that the date with, Like, I don't feel like that
makes it kids if I worked there, it was like
tipped myself. Why would I Why would I tip the
server who's my friend? Is like, we share tips at
the end of the night, so what would be the difference?

(09:32):
But I don't understand that.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
How come you wouldn't say anything to her like, hey,
here's where I work, you know, I get I almost
the difference be like you weren't.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Working that night, so you wouldn't you wouldn't have gotten
those tips that night.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
I just don't. I mean, all this sounds like I'm
the bad person because I didn't tips, Like I don't
understand the experience of the day.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Yeah, she's looking at she's looking at dating you more
and that's the kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
It's uncomfortable. What kind of person are you? What she's
looking at, like, why wouldn't you.

Speaker 5 (09:58):
Work in that industry?

Speaker 1 (09:59):
You know, like you're working off of your tips.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
I just feel like it wasn't. That wasn't even the
purpose of the day wasn't. How much is it's not?
That's what was really about the experience of the day,
which I thought I felt like was going good. In fact,
you guys, doesn't sound like I have like a like
a scam debtor or something like.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
And I've never met anyone actually, I think about it,
and Kyle just said it that's ever worked in that
industry that doesn't tip take care of their server.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
You're the first person ever heard like that. That's surprising.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
You wouldn't even I mean, we gave you the excuse
you could have used, like I said something, would have said, well,
he's honest, all right, so you don't care?

Speaker 1 (10:38):
You don't want to see him again? Or do you?

Speaker 6 (10:41):
No, I'm not. I'm not into that.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Good And if you did, we would tell you don't.
So there's your answer, Jevon. I hope you feel better
what I.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Was just accepted. I don't understand what the problem is
really like, I really think I just think that this
is ridiculous or whatever.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
If you Google come on Javon, it'll say you need
to tip all right, so no second date, right Cambria correct.

Speaker 6 (11:11):
Okay, it's the principle of the thing.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Okay, Well, thank you both for going on air with us.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
That's Second Date update with John Jay and Rich
