Speaker 1 (00:00):
This Tuesday. That means it's time for second date update.
We got Victoria on the line. Give us a little tease.
What's going on with Victoria?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
So I went on a date with a guy and
now he's ghosting me, and I think.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
I know why.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Okay, that's a new one. Okay, well we're gonna find out.
We'll talk to you and then we'll call him. Second
ate update starts next with John Jay and Rich. He's
been telling me it was supposed to be the start
of a beautiful relationship, but somebody screwed it all up.
(00:32):
Second date update right now with John Jay and Rich.
John Jay and Rich, Time for second date update. We
got Victoria on the line. I guess she's getting blown off.
We're gonna hear the story. Good morning, Victoria, Good morning.
What's your story?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
So I went to date with this guy named Joey.
I thought a week ago we had met on hinge
and made the messaging for a while, and he seemed
really sweet and kind of funny in this like dry
sarcastic way, and we ended up going to this Italian
plate and I thought it went really well. I mean,
he laughed at my jokes and we should the Terramasu,
(01:08):
and I don't know. I just felt like there was
a connection there. But I haven't heard from him since,
and I'm kind of freaking out because there was one
weird thing that I did. So I'm really allergic to shellfish,
and I guess I said it's so many times that
it became weird. And when the waiter brought out his
(01:30):
shrimp pasta, I panicked and I made him push the
plate like two feet away from me, And after he
was done eating, I then told him that he needed
to go wash his hands in the bathroom before we
could keep talking. And I know it sounds insane, but
I really liked him, and now I'm scared I ruined
it all because of.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
The allergy that I have.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
It's weird, though, you tell him that you're you've got
a shellfish thing and that's what he orders. Yeah, that's
kind of rude.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Now, how did you tell him after he already ordered it?
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Yeah, so he didn't know that I had a shelfish
shellfish allergy until afterward.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Oh okay, that's that's when I couldn't.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Stop talking about it because it was like it was
such an issue for me. Did the vibe totally change
after that or did he just go to the bathroom
and wash his hands. I mean, he did what I
told him to do. He did like make a big
problem out of it. But I do feel like I
was talking about it so much it became weird. I
was also like overthinking in the moment, So I don't
(02:28):
I don't know. I'm I can only imagine this is
what caused him to ghost me.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Okay, So you said one word and me and Kyle
kind of looked at each other and I was like, Okay,
I think we may have.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Figured out why he might be ghosting.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
You because you said he did what you told him
to do, now what you asked him to do, And
to me, I'm like, okay, you little bossy.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
No, did he feel like he was scolding? I do?
Speaker 2 (02:53):
I mean, I hope not. I just have a really
bad allergy. That was the only reason that I was.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
So about it.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Well, I like that you came to the table and
telling us a story and you got a good vibe
of why he's plowing you off. Like most of the
time we do this and we start guessing, we're trying
to figure things out, but you're like, hey, here's what
I think happened. So I mean, we'll find out for you, you know,
I mean because also there's so many allergies. Now, why
would you not want to date someone if they happen
out like my wife hasn't happened. Yeah, to sulfa. I
(03:20):
don't even know what that is, but sulfa. Every time
I go to the doctor, she has to say she
has an allergy to sulfa.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
Some sort of maybe it's in a lot of medications.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Don't know. I never asked if she dies of a
sulf overdose. You guys know what happened. Guys know, let's
get curious about our partner.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
Thing that doesn't exist for John.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Josh, she's got too much sulfur in her system? How
did that happen? All Right? The guy's name me Joe.
All right, we're gonna get joining the phone, find out
why he's plowing you off. Hold online? Okay. Second date
update continues next with John, Jay and Rich. We're in
(04:01):
the middle of second up. He had Victoria, she met joy.
Did you say on hinge? She's what you said? It
was a hinge? Victoria? Yeah, yeah, which to an Italian restaurant.
He ordered appetizers. Do you let him know that you
got a shellfish allergy. And then but the food came,
he went to go wash his hands right or right?
And now you think maybe that's it. He doesn't want
to deal with a high maintenance girl, if that's high.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Maintenance, if he doesn't want a girl with alfish allergy.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, I mean that's pretty much what you think it is.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Do you know if he like does like muck bangs
like crab boiled muck bangs every day, Like could this
be like this is.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Never gonna work exactly?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
I hope not.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
How logo was a day?
Speaker 2 (04:39):
It was like a week, a week and a half, okay.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
And then Kyle and Peyton, you guys think that because
she said I told him this, that maybe he's she's
controlling or something's more. Exactly, he did what I told
him to do. Okay, I got nothing. I'm I'm I'm
going with the shellfish thing, okay, because if you think
about it, there's shrimp everywhere everywhere you go. I was
it is a calamari shellfish, it's octopus. You don't know,
(05:07):
get out of here.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
You don't know that you've never seen like a little
little ones.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
No, I always see that deep fried. I don't know
what it looks like. They look like it's not squid.
Out of here. Yeah, food, it's terrible when you get
could have had food poisons from calamari. But it doesn't
mean Calamari's octopus. So they have little tentacles. Squid's got squids? Good?
(05:32):
Does this thing? They have two hearts, actually three heart
type of squid octopus three hearts. I dissected squids and
look like mini octopus.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
So we're kind of saying the same thing.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
But calamari is not octopus because you go, I've seen
calamari on a menu, and I've seen octopus on the menu.
What I'm getting at is, how's that restaurant the other
day and they just brought out calamari for free? Like, hey,
I know, but I don't need kalamari. I don't know
because it looks like squid. It looks like little o's
just don't need the other ones.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
I don't need the other ones.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
I make study.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
I could see why. I mean that. That's what I'm
saying is that that shellfish is abundant. It's everywhere.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
This guy is something that's I was asking.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
I said, he's Calamorde shellfish and Rich said it's octopus
and I'm like, I don't think it's oct to us.
It was oct to used. I thought it was octopus too.
Speaker 5 (06:19):
I'm with you, Rich.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
All right, let's get you Adeli Victoria. You chill, let
us talk to him. Okay, okay, all right, hold on.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Hello.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Hi is Joey there?
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Yeah, this is hi.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Hi. My name's Peyton. I'm with John Jane Rach and
we just wanted to talk to you on the radio
really quickly this morning.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Well, hello Joey, good morning, good morning. We are calling
you because we a little segment on our show about
dating and relationships, and we got a call from a
woman that she went to date with a great guy.
Now the guy's not calling her back after the first date,
and after she went over the first date. We were
trying to guess on why he wouldn't call her back
(07:14):
or ghost her. And you're the guy.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Oh okay, and we're.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Talking about a date you went on with someone in
Victoria off a hinge.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Yeah, yeah, I remember her.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Could you tell us a little bit about the date
and why maybe, I mean, would you say you're ghosting here?
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Uh? Yeah, I mean, uh, you know it was. It
was fun. She was really sweet, really nice, kind of shy,
you know, kind of like, uh, in an enduring kind
of way, you.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Know, enduring like you have to deal with it for
a long time. Like, my god, that's so neat. She's
so pretty.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
She had meat during shyness is an interesting discrision.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
It was like she was kind of cute, you know,
like the way she acted. Yeah, okay, yeah it was.
It was nice. We went to this like Italian place.
The food was good, our conversation wasn't bad or anything,
you know. Anyway, this was kind of like afterwards, you know,
(08:25):
everything was cool. I went into kind of like kiss
her good night, you know, kind of the end of
the night, and it seemed like she kind of panicked
a little, and I, you know, I stopped and I
was trying to see if she was okay. And she
(08:45):
told me that she had never kissed anybody before and
that was her first kiss. So I didn't want to
like pressure here into any of that. I don't know,
I wasn't really expecting that.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
For a gentleman of you.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
Yeah, just it made everything seem a little heavier, yeah,
first one. Yeah, I just I just didn't know how
to respond to that really without making it weird, you know.
So I just kind of left that at that and
just said good night, and wait, I don't know. Maybe
(09:25):
I kind of took it as like she wasn't really
into it, but I don't know. I see, I just
didn't really continue on with that.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
So you're saying you ghosted me because I didn't kiss you, Uh, Victorious, Yeah, yeah,
I've wasn't sitting in on the call, and I don't know,
(09:58):
it's just kind of disappointing because I was nervous and
that night it didn't mean a lot to me because.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
I liked you, Okay. I wasn't trying to be like,
you know, like a jerk or anything about it all.
I mean, I get it. He just kind of caught
me off guard.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
I guess, you know for a second there or it
sounds like, Victoria, you're saying you didn't want to go
out me again because I wouldn't kiss you, But it
also sounded to me he was saying he didn't want
to take that from you. He didn't he didn't feel
that that date I think was like, oh wow, I
want her first kiss to be someone something, something, to
mean something, something special. I don't. This is just a date.
(10:43):
I don't want to be that first kiss, I think,
or am I you know what I'm saying, Joey for Victoria.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Right, I understand, I understand, and I can respect that.
But I just think that the whole not communicating is
the most disheartening part, because I wish he would have
said because saying something is better than.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Nothing, like he could put it, like, you know, I'm
not going to take this. I don't want to be
your first kiss unless you really want to be your
first kiss. And at the same time, though, I don't
think you want him to be your first kiss because
he ates shellfish and your whole facealo gets warm.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Like yeah, yeah that's true. That is true.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
So he can't win this guy.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
No, But the ghosting me part, it made me embarrassed
because I didn't really know what the problem was.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
Well, it's easily fixed, Joey. If you ask Victoria out
and you eat something that is not shellfish in nature,
and then at the end of the night you guys
talk about it and then you kiss her you don't kiss.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Yeah, that was definitely my fault. I'm a fan of seafood,
so that wasn't really the best choice.
Speaker 5 (11:51):
I guess if Victoria wants you to communicate.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
Yeah, I didn't. I didn't mean to make you feel
that way of Victoria. Honestly, I just like I said before,
I just didn't know how to really handle the moment. Really.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yeah, you've definitely handled it badly, fair enough.
Speaker 4 (12:15):
Yeah, that's yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
I did mess up, and I'm not asking for a
fairy tale when it comes to dating. I just want
someone to communicates.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
Right, You're you're a really great person. Honestly, I do
mean that. You know, you were sweet and funny and
I did have a good time. I don't know, I
just thought it was kind of different. Maybe it's just
you know, we're in different places right now.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
So do you want to go out again or no?
Speaker 4 (12:51):
I mean I wouldn't mind taking her another chance, Victoria.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
I would love to, as long as you don't eat
shell finish if I can ask for that now.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Victoria, So you've never kissed anybody ever in your life?
Speaker 2 (13:05):
No?
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Okay, And so that means you probably haven't gone further
than that either, right, No, okay? Do you guys see
that thing I saw? I think it was on the
Bachelor or one of those shows. Where the girl didn't
want to kiss the guy on the date because she
didn't want the kiss to be on TV in case
she ever marries somebody else. She didn't want to do
that to her husband. Her husband did not her husband
(13:26):
will have her future husband have video proof that she
didn't want to do that to her future husband. I
thought that was kind of cool.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
I love her.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
That's my kind of girl because I look at my
boyfriend sometimes in disgust because I'm like.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
I know what you've done. You've never seen it. You
never see what.
Speaker 4 (13:40):
You see it in my dream.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Whoever you want thinks about this, like Kanye married Kim Kardashian,
she saw her with Rachel right Like that would bother me,
you know what I mean. But this girl and the
batcher didn't want to even have a kiss on TV.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
For my kind of girl, I hope the Bachelor scooped
her up because that's a keeper.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
So, Victoria, if you want to go out with Joe,
we'll pay for it.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Yes, I would love to.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Okay, hold on a line. We'll make sure you guys
connect on its second date update
