I was telling Rich and Nick, our producer, I text
this morning. I was running late this morning because I
was chit chatting with my sister all morning long, because

(00:49):
she lives right in the middle of all those fires
in La. Like if you get on social media, you're
trying on TV all everybody's live from these fires everywhere, like,
and she's got her car packed and ready to evacuate.
My cousin evacuated already. And I guess all of La
is like burning down right. You guys do have.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Anything about it.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
It started yesterday morning, I think around ten thirty in
the Pacific Palisades, and I guess within an hour it
was already two hundred acres that it had burned. They
have like a one hundred mile hour winds, so the
water that the firefighters are putting on the fire isn't
really helping put it out. And the area that it's in,
like a lot of celebrities live in that area, Tom Hanks,
Rita Wilson, Miles Teller, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, Steve Gutenberg,

(01:28):
who was in the Police Academy movie, and he was
actually out there helping the firefighters.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
That's awesome. That's scared.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Well. I called my sister because she's in the middle
of it right and she said her car was loaded.
I was like, can I want her to jump on
there with us right now? But I don't know if
her phone's cutting out. I don't know if it's the
fire or she just you know, can't speak. Are you there, Ava,
I'm here, okay?

Speaker 4 (01:52):
So how bad is it?

Speaker 5 (01:54):
It's terrible. It's so sad. It's the the.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Wind is awful.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
It's just it's one of these things that and it's
my kids, you know, the rival.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Oh yeah, it's gotten out bad.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
The rival high school burned down.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
I think it's really so they're saying that right now,
at this moment, winds are almost it points. They're almost
one hundred miles an hour, which you know that carries
those zemper super far, and they're they're losing about what
they call five football fields an hour to the fire.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Right now.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
The wind here was crazy last night, So I can't imagine, like,
I can't imagine what that's like, knowing there's a fire
pushing that windown. Now get this. Noah on our show,
Little Noah on our show. He's taken Friday and Monday
off right because I believe his aunt passed away. Is
that what happened?

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yeah, my great aunt passed away. Sorry, ninety nine years
old though.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
So I walked into the back room to ask him
to pull some audio for me for something I'm wanna
do later, and he gives me that little rich barrel
hold finger, you know that when it bothers your dad bating.
He's on the phone. He's going right with you big time.
So I go, what's going on? He was on my
aunt died, and he was on the phone with Airbnb
because the funeral this weekend is in La where the
fires are. Oh, but it seems to not effect NOE

(03:13):
because he's moving forward as people are evacuating that area.
He's going there, and.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Then not only am I going in, I'm driving in.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
And I'm like, wait a minute, how how Like.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
There's showed me that car on the movies where you
see all like literally all I see is the cars.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Piled up just trying to get out. Yeah, he's gonna
be the one car.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah, no, traffic, wouldn't you wouldn't the funeral be canceled
or something? People are evacuating there, and he was like dank.
He's like, I'm just stay in downtown La. I don't
think you can stay down I mean just smoke alone.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
First of all, they're showing cars on Sunset Boulevard that
the fire trucks had to basically bulldoze through so that
they could get to the fire. I don't I don't
know that that's a great place to go visit at
the moment.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
The original property that I was going to go stay
at it was in Topeka Canyon, and I was waiting
to see how bad it was going to get and
when I woke up this morning, I was like, okay,
so what's Airbnb's disaster policy?

Speaker 2 (04:09):
And they were able to refund me on that property.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
And now I'm looking at downtown LA, which isn't going
to be much better, but I still think it's funny
if I go and then just like take pictures as
like selfies with the smoke behind.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
The people's houses burn down. Funny so funny over her
burndown photo albums.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Also, don't inhale. That's going to be bad.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I just don't know if you're going to be able
to get in. That doesn't make sense.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
They shut down the freeways or whatever they What Ridge said.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Is and that's literally what's happening. People are leaving their
cars and running away from their cars, and the fire
department get through and they have bulldozers moving the cars
out of the way. But here comes Noah.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Yeah, you would think you would reschedule the funeral.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
But if your family lives in LA, so are they
all good or what?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yeah? I haven't heard anything yet. And because their house
is burned down, we might even be.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Trying to get tickets to be on. The price is right, so.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
It lives like in a bubble. You just think you're
gonna get on the prices, right.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Is you're a being cremated because that might have already happened.
The fire is pretty strong.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
When I talked to Know about this this morning, he
walked and he's like, this is such a no thing.
Get this. I'm going to bank a canyon this weekend
and they just canceled my airbnb because they get there's
fires everywhere. He doesn't know that there's fires, but he's
gonna be the only person standing in your line for prices, right.
I bet you they canceling everything.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
They have to be You think you might want to
check into that.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah, that's the main reason I was calling my sister
because I want to know because no one said to
stay downtown l A. Like she said, she's there. Do
you know if LA is shut down? I was what
I was gonna ask her, but her phone disconnected or whatever.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
I hope she doesn't wait to evacuate.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
So that's what she was up all night. They packed
her car, everything's packed ready to go. And as soon
as you get to a street called Montana, which is
right around the corner from her house, her street connects
to Montana. She as soon as the fire hits Montana,
they're supposed to evacuate. And this morning at three am,
I was on the phone with her and it hit Montana.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah, Like, why are you still there?

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Why you're still there? My cousin evacuated already. My cousin
and her husband went and are now staying at her
husband's ex wife's house.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I'm like, wait, why is she still there? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
I don't know why. My sister, that's my sister, man,
she's stubborn. Go anyway, So that's a little news update.
So we'll follow up what's going on with Noah this
weekend and checking with Noah on the weekend and see
how he's how the Price's Right's going on. Noah, You're unbelievable,
all right,
