Speaker 1 (00:00):
From Hollywood to you.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Thank you for listening to US.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Air on Air with a Ryan Seacrest.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Good morning, just looking at what the weather is going
to be like, because after last week, it's kind of
top of mind for everybody. Sunshine, sunny, sky's cooler though,
highs in the mid sixties. Nothing is ever, I mean,
nothing will compare to those winds we dealt with last week.
But a better forecast for this week as we're still
evaluating all of the devastation and damage here in some

(00:32):
of California. You don't even recognize the neighborhoods in the streets.
I mean I had a chance to see some over
the weekend to move around l A a little bit, and
you just cannot believe.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I mean, fire is ferocious.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
You can't believe how it just took streets and blocks
out so fast. Yeah, we're back with you though on
this Monday, just to take a look at some of
the things that we're going to get into. We do
have a Ryon's roses. A lot of a lot of
emails came in the first couple of days of the
new year. They always do every year that happens.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Well, isn't that the three week itch the.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Three week inch three weeks making.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
After the three weeks of the holidays.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
People make it through and then they get back to
the new year and they want to get out of
their situation.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Yeah, you're onto something. It's like that.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
That first Monday of the year is when people will
file for divorce or break up or Yeah, that's that's it.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I think it's one of the things that people just
put their head down and get through the holidays, and
then they bring up the hey, I can't do this anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yeah, you're not wrong days.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
But this one is.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Her husband is part of the homeowners Association, so obviously
he goes to all the events, but according to her,
there haven't been as many actual events as she's been
led to believe. Oh wow, so he's been you know,
where has he been, right, he's been doing?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Where's he been going?

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Interesting?

Speaker 3 (01:51):
So that's coming up this morning, one eight hundred and
five to two, one to two, seven into the studio. Also,

if you argue a little bit, we've got three tips
on how to win the next argument you get into.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I was thinking about this one all weekend. Yeah, you
really left us to win.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I had to win the argument.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
What wouldn't anybody want to hear the three things so
that you could win an argument?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Yeah, one thing that makes it go away.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
I'd be happy with one thing. You're going to give
us three things?

Speaker 4 (04:07):
This day will allow a new version of yourself to
start emerging.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
All right, So if you had a second to write
those down, you are several months in front of you
before those big days, the luckiest days of the year.
But it's coming. It's on the way. Sorry for the
one in November the nineteenth scorpio. Sorry about that one.
So Tany had a visitor or too last night?

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Huh two to be exact. Oh, so we got into
bed last night. Oh, bedtime popped my melotonin. So I
was already like on my way to La La Land,
and I was looking at my phone just to plug
it in, set my alarm and plug it in, right,
And I get this alert that someone's at our front door.

(04:48):
And I can't I can't see. Only Robbie Hat can
see on his phone. So he goes in. He charges
his phone in the bathroom, mind you. So he gets up,
he goes to the bathroom to see who's there.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Wow, he's there.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
He's really doing what I tell you to do.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
He sleeps with his phone charging in the bathroom, alarmed
the alarms.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Al yeah, no chance, I could hear that. Want to
come to work.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
So he opens his phone and he says, there's two
cups at our front door. And there's two cups cops,
police officers, And so we were like freaking out. I
like get out. I'm like naked, so I like throw
my robe on. He puts clothes on and we go.
They ring the doorbell, okay, And we started talking to

(05:35):
them and we're like, hello, officer, like, what's going on?
He starts talking. Robbie don't even open the door. He
was talking to the through the door, yeah, because he
was like these people could be you know, all these
dams going on.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
It's so late at night. It was so weird.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
They're dressed.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
So they proceed to tell us that they were chasing
a car down our street and they did like a
three point turn in front of our house and.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
They're they're going doing door.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Their police truck hit the brick in front of our
house and like chipped it or something.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Oh, so they were telling you they were reporting damage.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Yes, yes, So then Robbie opens the door and he's like, sorry,
you know, I wanted to keep it shut. I was
I was nervous. And they were like no, no, no,
we totally understand. And then we saw the car, so
it all kind of felt legit. So then Robbie walked
out and saw like the chips in the brick and
he was like, no problem, you know, like it was
really nothing. They have to like file a report that

(06:27):
they like chipped our damaged private property.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Did they get the criminal?

Speaker 1 (06:35):
I have no idea if they got him.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
And it was a police truck.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Yeah, a big truck, like, not like a normal cop car.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Like it was like the bomb squad truck.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
No, not like that, Like I guess like a it
was like a truck like it almost looked like a
like I had like a.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Trailer and they were chasing it and somehow they accidentally
they did a.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
Three point yeah, backed into it. Uh Hu'm backed into it?

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Did you invite them to your wedding?

Speaker 3 (06:58):
It seems like that was a perfect opportunity to say,
come come join us, it's gonna be fun.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Revenue.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
So weird because like our knee jerk reaction was like.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
What did we do wrong? They know that?

Speaker 3 (07:08):
And the scam, I mean, that's the thing. It's like
you see and you see the impostor delivery people, you
see the hoster people you know, and you see in
movies too, but you also see it in like those
real doorbell cams now, and so it's it's pretty cynical
but also reality to second guess everything.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Yeah, and they were really cool when we liked to know,
but they're like, we totally get it. And so after
we realized, we were like, thank you so much for everything.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
I might have seen it and thought they were dancers
going to Ruby's bachelorette party.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Yeah, honestly, you never know.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
You guys here for auditions. What's happening?

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Could you imagine if it was got the wrong house?

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Right, they got the wrong house and they were dancers,
could have been.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
They're like, are you the room?

Speaker 3 (07:52):
And yes, I could have been channing Tatum's friends. Is
that box you guys have on your shoulder?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Is it battery powered officers?

Speaker 6 (08:07):
All?

Speaker 7 (08:08):
Right?

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Sistany this one's for you and anybody else that likes
to win an argument with their significant other who doesn't.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
I don't care about do you really like?

Speaker 8 (08:16):
For me?

Speaker 3 (08:16):
It's not about winning, It's about moving on? How fast
can we not make this an.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
Issue winning getting through a conflict together.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
I would accept defeat and say you're right, I'm sorry,
just to move on.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
I'm about right and wrong. Right, I would love to
hear that.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
He is about right and wrong. That's what winning and
losing is.

Speaker 5 (08:34):
No, there is no right and wrong relationships, I know.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
But the thing is I kind of agree with Yes,
there is Ryan.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
With Ryan, because that's what I want Michael to say
sometimes that I'm right or just drop it and you like, you're.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Right, You're right, You're right. I was wrong. I didn't
see it that way.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Yeah, oh my music to my ears if that would happen.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
But no, he wants to do I like the challenge.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
Yes, give me your perspective. I want to hear your
perspective and your insight into this situation.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
The old dudes. I mean, I'm telling you, once you
get to my age, it's just like.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
The opposite for Tanya. She needs to be the older woman,
but she can't.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
She gets not all right, let's get to this so uh.
These are the three ways they say to win an argument.
Job these down. If you want, keep your mouth shut
as much as possible.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Just let them get it out.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Silence treatment, don't repeat yourself like once you say it,
don't keep saying it.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Like they heard you.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
And ignore words that are designed to get under your
skin and make you angry.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
This great advice.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Yeah, you gotta ignore those words, can you do it?

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Mouth shut?

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Don't repeat yourself, ignore the words designed to make you angry.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
Keeping my mouth shut is one of my moves. The
silent treatment. I'm just I'm done.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
But that takes too long too, I mean, really, how
long are we going to do this?

Speaker 2 (09:58):
How are you going? What do you want to watch?
Whatever you want to watch?

Speaker 8 (10:03):
Ha ha.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Let's get to a quote today.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
Be exactly who you are so the person looking for
you can find you.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Ah, that's funny.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
This FM headlines with siciny well.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
Strong Santa Ana winds and extreme weather conditions are returning
to the region this week. The fiercest winds between forty
five and seventy miles per hour are expected between four
am Tomorrow and noon Wednesday. Most LAUSD schools will be
open today, though some schools close to the fires will

(10:38):
remain closed due to mandatory evacuation orders. Fire authorities are
looking into weather down to so cal Edison utility equipment
caused the blaze that led to the Hurst fire in Somar,
and the Walt Disney Company is donating fifteen million dollars
to rebuilding and relief efforts from the wildfires.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
On air with Ryan Seacrest, first Time we grab Ethan.
Listen to us in la Ethan. Good morning, Thank you
for coming to kiss. How are you this morning?

Speaker 8 (11:11):
I'm doing all right.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
You've got an Airbnb issue with your friends?

Speaker 8 (11:15):
Yeah, you know, last time, so last time I took
a trip with my friends. It was really fun. You know,
me and my partner, we had we had our own
room and going into this most recent trip we took
back in December, we had to sleep on the couch
and it was just really awkward. We were sharing the

(11:36):
couch with It was a pretty big one, I'll give
him that, but we had to share the couch with
another guy who was a single guy, and you know,
every other couple at the house had their own room,
so it just felt weird that we were the only
ones that got placed on the couch with some other
people and they.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Did you pay?

Speaker 8 (11:57):
Yeah, we all paid the same.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
And who can sleep on the couch with anybody?

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Where was the issue? Didn't you guys count the rooms?

Speaker 8 (12:05):
Yeah, we counted the rooms and there was rooms for
most people, just not us.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
But there was a miscalculation.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Did you know the house you were getting when you
went into getting there with everybody?

Speaker 8 (12:16):
Yeah, I think everyone knew. We just we ended up
leaving a little later than everyone and it's kind of
a first come, first serve kind of so messed up group.
So you know, we we just weren't informed, and yeah,
it kind of sucks. We missed out on the room.
The trip was pretty fun otherwise, but I.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Would ask for some money back.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Hold on, it's first come, first served. What do you
mean by that?

Speaker 1 (12:38):
He's like, when we gets in the house first and picks.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Their room, Well, then you should have gotten there fast.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
That's besides the point.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
If they made that rule going in knowing there's only
a couple of bedrooms, let get their first thing.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Yeah, I mean tell me that part.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
If you knew that, if you knew the rules of
the game were, Hey, there's only two beds and one couch,
first come, first served.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
They need to be first come.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
What is this Airbnb squid games?

Speaker 9 (13:01):
Right?

Speaker 7 (13:03):
Are?

Speaker 8 (13:04):
Our friends never told us that. They never confirmed whether
when they would be leaving, so we were under the
impression everyone was going to take off around like two
three o'clock.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Here's then, all right, two couple things here.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Life is short. We got to move on past it.
Don't know how you did it, but you did it
on the couch. Fine, next time you get into a
situation with this group of people, let's not do first come,
first serve. Let's confirm accommodation, right, so we know exactly
what we're paying for.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Does everyone have a bedroom.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
I think we're a little bit at fault here for
agreeing to agree that if you're not there right away,
you don't get the best stuff.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
That's part of the problem. Very nice.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
I probably could share a couch with you, but I
don't want to, you know what I mean nice?

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Though, sharing a couch sounds like my worst nine.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
Gosh, what did I put my showing breath and like
off off me.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Oh my gosh, and being up pushed up, mashed up
against those three big pillows.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
Oh yeah, squeeze between pillows and loved ones boo the
whole night something ethan.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Can I appreciate you? Thank you for calling better luck
next time?

Speaker 7 (14:15):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (14:15):
My friend ask for some money back.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
I mean fine, but he also like, you're gonna play
that game and first come it is first come, like
you need to confirm accommodations before you put.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
The money in.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
There's always that panic when you share an airbnb with friends,
like who can get their person to pick the best rooms.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
Everyone's getting married except me here, and they're all engaged
in the first wedding coming up is Tanya, then it's Ruby.
Colette is engaged as well, but Ruby's fiance David is
doing zoom meetings to plan his bachelor party. I haven't
done much on the bachelor party, right, What about his friends?

Speaker 10 (14:46):
His friends are going all out for this. It was
so funny. I didn't even know that they were gonna
have a zoom meeting. I found out because my brother
told me. He's like, oh, yeah, by the way, like,
we have a zoom this morning. It was like super early.
They all organized it, like ten of them, and they're
they're very serious about it. His friends are, so they're
more into it than he is.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Well, I mean, they can probably have more fun than
he can because they don't all look like the marrying type.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Here, I'm gonna tell him you said that. No, I
mean you can tell myself. Well, I mean, I know
this guy's sleepy.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
His name is sleepy, he says on his zoom screens.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Sleep.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
No, he's not married, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
His name is sleepy on his zoom. What do they
what do they want to do? What's on the list
of options?

Speaker 10 (15:32):
They're figuring it out. First it was Guatemala, then Brazil, Colombia,
maybe Bahamas.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Oh my gosh, they have no focus.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
They're not going to make it back.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Ye, are there any well something one of them might not?
Are there any rules, like you did you say, Look,
here's these are my three things out there about I
don't care about.

Speaker 10 (15:51):
I don't really have any rules, no, because I because
you just to give me rules. I think we both
really trust each other and like they're like a mutual
understanding that you know, we're not going to do anything
that we wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (16:05):
I feel like we both trust each other enough to
know that we're not going to like cross any lines
that we wouldn't normally do.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Say something unpopular if I do end up going down
this path one day, which I don't know if I will,
but actually, okay, easy, but I actually would suggest that
she and her girlfriends and me and some of my buddies,
we all go to the same place. No, and we
do separate things night one and then night two we

(16:36):
all come together because we're going to have a life
together and be new friends together.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
And you almost want to merge it. Yeah, it's not bad.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
No, we were going to do that. It's a great
idea to do that.

Speaker 10 (16:46):
In addition to not for me, Yeah, that's the rest
of your life doing that you know.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
No, not really, because everybody know because everybody like when
you when you have kids, and like like.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
You still do I just went to cop but with
five families. Then there's twenty of us in one house,
all of our kids.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
You still do it. You still like all your old friends.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Some are mixed in.

Speaker 9 (17:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
What about this guy, Julian, he's the one leading the pack,
you see, the one leading the pack. He's got a
leopard a faux leopard print.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Top hat on.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
He's leading the pack here.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
He took that from his girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
I think you've got a very uh, you've got a
very easy sort of vibe about it, like you're not
I bet Tnny, I'm with you. I'd rather do like
we go out separately one night and then night two
we're all together.

Speaker 5 (17:33):
We were going to do that and then it just
didn't work out. The weekends just didn't work out.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
When's your wedding? Ruby?

Speaker 10 (17:41):
Legally I'll be married February fourteenth, but the official like
big one, is later on in the year.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Got it?

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Thank you four, Keep us keep.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Posting on the international destination of these guys. I will
it's time for Ryan's roses. So we got this from
Recita on Kiss FM this morning, Jacqueline reaching out to us.
Let me grab her, Jacqueline, thanks for coming on. So
your husband is part of the homeowners Association in your
condo complex.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Yes, all right, and he goes to the meetings.

Speaker 11 (18:14):
Yes he does, because I have zero interest in our HOA.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
By the way, it's a.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Good thing that he's a part of the HOA because
then he knows what's going on in the building.

Speaker 11 (18:23):
It's all beneficial, sure, sure, of course, And that's his thing.
And I went to one meeting years ago and it
was boring and toxic and awful, and ever since i've
I've just let him handle that. So over the summer
we had a whole issue that the board said that
apparently the swimming pool was seeping water into the parking

(18:46):
garage and it was this huge repair and super expensive
for everyone, and because of that that they were going
to have to start having weekly HOA meetings. So I thought, fine, whatever,
that's his thing. But the other day I was at
our mailboxes and this woman introduced herself and we were

(19:06):
saying hi, cordial, and then she said that she always
sees my husband at the HA meetings, and I made
some sort of comment about those being, you know, such
a huge commitment or something, and she said, oh, once
a month isn't so bad. I've heard some of them,
you know, meet way more often than that. And my

(19:29):
heart just sunk. And now I need to know where
he has been going, because he has been going somewhere, and.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
He's been going regularly and not telling you the truth.
I mean, this is a little textbook for us. So
how long has it been with two of you guys
together married?

Speaker 11 (19:49):
Oh, we've been married four years now. Wow, we've been
together for so long. I've never had never questioned it.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
You've never had issues with him?

Speaker 11 (20:01):
No, No, until recently, you know, until recently. And he's
very charismatic, he's fun and friendly, and I've thought of
every other possibility that it could be. And now the
only thing that I am afraid is and can come

(20:23):
up with, is that it's an affair. And I'm terrified
of that.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
So Jacqueline need you to say, Ryan, you my permission
to call, and then your husband's name.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
Go ahead, Brian, you have my permission to call.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
All right, We're going to call him. Now, be very quiet.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
We're gonna offer him some roses and the idea here
is we want to see who's top of mind.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Who's he thinking about for these romantic roses?

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Be very quiet. We will tell him he's on the air.
We'll ask him some questions and see what we can
find out. Okay, okay, right here we go.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Hello, Hi is this Eddie? It is hi Eddie. My
name is Deana. I'm calling from the Perfect Flores. How
are you doing this morning?

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Good?

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Great?

Speaker 4 (21:16):
We deliver in Risita and other parts of the valley
and offering a free promotion today. It's a dozen red
roses and you can send to anybody that you'd like.
They are free. You're just trying to promote our business.
Is that something you'd be interested in?

Speaker 7 (21:30):
Okay? Free roads is like completely free.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
Yes, we're new to the area, just asking that if
you are pleased with our arrangements, you refer us to
your friends or family or come back as a customer
one day. But for today, I would just need the
name of the person you want to send them to
and we can write a note. You can have them
out by lunchtime, or if you prefer coming by and
picking them up yourself, that works too.

Speaker 7 (21:53):
Yeah. Yeah, okay, wow, Okay, do you get my address.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Well we can start. Let's start with the name of
the person you want to send them to.

Speaker 7 (22:03):
Wait, you don't have my address. You have my name
and my number, but no address.

Speaker 8 (22:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
You may have purchase something online in the past six
to eighteen months and selected to receive promotional offers from
local vendors.

Speaker 7 (22:15):
Oh okay, all right, well the address is A nine
nine zero.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Oh well we can uh.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
Let's start with the name of the person you want
to send them to first. We can start with a note.

Speaker 7 (22:24):
Okay, it's Carla.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
Carla great, and what would you like to write on
the card?

Speaker 7 (22:33):
Do you guys do like emojis?

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Yeah? I can do emojis.

Speaker 7 (22:39):
Can you do the smiling purple double face? You could
do that one.

Speaker 8 (22:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (22:44):
No, no name or anything. Just know what it means.
I still think it's funny.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
Okay, Domina, right, love Eddie, you'll know what it means.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Put on radio your voice. That's your wife, Jacqueline. Excuse me, Hello,
Hi Eddie, my name is Ryan. Your voice is being broadcast.
We have your wife on the line.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
You're what we mean with Carla.

Speaker 11 (23:07):
You're telling me you have an hl A meeting and
you're going to Carla's are you kidding me?

Speaker 7 (23:13):
Hold on, hold on you. You're jumping the conclusions here.

Speaker 11 (23:17):
Jumping to conclusion.

Speaker 8 (23:18):
I'm jumping, I'm jumping thinking.

Speaker 7 (23:20):
Okay, explain, explain You're just no, I'm not, You're just
hold on you.

Speaker 11 (23:26):
Uh, it's not, I'm not, Eddie, stay it out.

Speaker 7 (23:32):
Wait. Wait, so you you hire a radio station to
try to buss me.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
No, we're free.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Yeah, we don't do this for any money.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Yeah, but Eddie, here, here's where things stand.

Speaker 7 (23:43):
Car You know the crazy thing is she's she's acting
like she's all innocent. You know, you know you're not.
Did you tell these people have the air?

Speaker 8 (23:54):
No?

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Are Oh my god? Would you stop stop with that?

Speaker 11 (24:00):
Tell Okay, sure, I'll tell them because it is absolutely
not the same thing. I was drunk and I.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Kissed a guy named Javier.

Speaker 11 (24:11):
That is literally all I know about him. This is
a very different situation.

Speaker 8 (24:16):
This is very different from an.

Speaker 6 (24:17):
Affair that our neighbor that's been going on for months.

Speaker 7 (24:25):
Is that.

Speaker 11 (24:31):
What this is like some kind of revenge cheating or something.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
So, Jacqueline, is he right? Did you cheat on him?

Speaker 9 (24:39):
No?

Speaker 11 (24:40):
Absolutely not. And we have been over this so many times.
I I don't know because he's insecure. It doesn't trust
or something. I I even told him about it.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I was drunk.

Speaker 11 (24:53):
I literally had one kiss with a guy that all
I know is that his name is Javier.

Speaker 6 (24:57):
I literally don't know anything a.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
So, Jacqueline, that is cheating. He doesn't believe that that
was it.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Now, Eddie, you are a line about going to the
HOA meetings and you're going to see Carla. You're giggling
like a schoolboy here and when you talk about her,
so you clearly have some affection for her.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
It's more than just friendship.

Speaker 7 (25:17):
No, no, no, no no, I'm just saying it works
both ways.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Okay, So she cheated, you're cheating? Is that where we
are here?

Speaker 7 (25:25):
I'm just saying she does. She can do what she
wants to do, you know, like you know, I figure
she owes me one.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
You know how many times you've been seeing Carla romantically?

Speaker 7 (25:36):
I mean, we're just we're just friends. It's nothing. Just
like her.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
She believe you, right exactly, So I don't believe you.
All right, Well, look, Jacqueline, what do you want men
to do here? If this is true that you violated
the trust of your marriage first and then he's revenge
making up.

Speaker 9 (25:51):
You know why.

Speaker 11 (25:52):
He's such a he is such a piece of We
have been over this how many times? How many times
I had one bad mistake on a bad drunk to night.
It meant absolutely nothing. And I've never seen that person
ever again. And I came clean with the corner see him.
I've never seen him again. And now that you're gonna
hold this against me, you know what, like you're I

(26:15):
can't believe you're throwing away everything that we have.

Speaker 7 (26:17):
I I'm not going anything away all.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
I'm gonna let you guys sort this out together without us.
Good luck, Jacqueline, Good luck Eddie. I hope you can
find peace in that relationship and get to a place
where maybe I need to start over. So she did
cheat on him, Yeah, and he's but he's cheating on
her now, but it sounds like he's got a relationship
on the side with her.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Yeah, that's like a full blown affair with the name.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Okay, let me see if I can recap Ryan's roses
from my head here. So we had an email from
Jacqueline and Mesita saying that her husband keeps sneaking out
to these homeowners' association meetings all the time. She fent
out there only once a month, so he's been going somewhere.
She thinks he's cheating on her, and we found out

(27:02):
that her husband, Eddie, was having an affair with another woman.
He sent the roses to Carla, but then he said,
did she tell you about Javier? Who's Javier? Well, apparently
she cheated on him first with Javier, and now he
feels like he's got the say right, but he feels
like he's not so wrong by doing the same thing

(27:24):
that she did to him. Right now, none of it
is good, none of it is right, but none of
it's clean here, right. I mean, if she was worried
about her husband cheating, then I know why because she
cheated first. So she's definitely worried about it because she
knows she did it once already or more than once.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Right, And she didn't bring that up to us either.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
She didn tell us that. So here's the question.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
She makes out with this other guy, she cheats, He
then has this other girl, Carla, which he's having an
affair with. Do they just call it a wash and
start over and just say, look, we both made mistakes.
And yeah, Eddie had retaliated or had revenge cheating in
a way that carried it out too far. Do they
just say, look, this was all bad. You want to

(28:04):
keep this relationship and each other's bond. Do we just
start from scratch?

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Can you?

Speaker 4 (28:09):
If that's what they want to do. But I think
it's too toxic to try to fix it at this point.
She came clean, she got drunk, she gets to do
it at the club, she came home.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
She told her how to believe her that she came clean.
I don't believe that she just made out. I believe
there was much more time.

Speaker 5 (28:23):
But also I think there's a huge difference in if
your partner cheats and they come to you and they
come clean and they admit it, could you forgive them?
Versus if your partner cheats and you have to find
out through some shady way like they do, not come clean.
You find out and then they apologize. I think there's
a difference, big difference.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
So do they go their separate ways or do they
start over? And Mariah's on the line, Mariah, good morning.
You say this is so common?

Speaker 7 (28:52):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (28:53):
Absolutely, And it's it's why cheating is so toxic in relationships,
because like once you cheat, like you can forgive the person,
but you're never going to really forget it. And like
Eddie's in the wrong, but like two wrongs don't make
a right. Like there's a lot of resentment here and
it's just it never goes away.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Really doesn't.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
I think you're right.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
You're always looking over your shoulder, You're always not believing
what your partner's saying.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
You're always thinking there was much more.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
He doesn't believe that she told him the truth of
the beginning, and she doesn't believe that he's just friends
with Carla, And I don't believe he's just friends with Carla.
I think there's much more to it. So maybe they
need to just walk away.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Yeah, yeah, there's all.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Right, Ryan, thank you for listen to us. Appreciate it.
Thanks Ryan's roses. What would you do?

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Walk away? Just not start over? You're going to be
second guessing all the time.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
Yep, done, all right, Coming to next We have one
thousand dollars and nothing, nothing good comes from that purple emoji,
by the way, that's true. What is that?

Speaker 4 (30:01):
It's the double one, the grin the purple one, and
so they already have their own inside emoji jokes, no.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
I use.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
And I'm like, let's have some fun, let's get saucy.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
I've never paid so much attention to wind forecast in
my life. Red flag warnings, wind forecasting, and this PDS.
I don't know that I ever remember, at least it
doesn't stick with me hearing about what a PDS is.
They've been talking about the PDS's all week and long.

(30:35):
Particularly dangerous situations. Oh, PDS. We're in a PDS in
certain parts of southern California again, according to the National
Weather Service, but sunny sky's cooler, highs in the mid sixties.
The red flag warning now through Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Yeah, the wind's going to pick up tomorrow about four am.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Well, that's when the PDS kicks in the particularly dangerous situation.
So the Chargers season ended Saturday with the loss in Houston.
The Rams had to move their game to Arizona right
from so far they played tonight. I was reading that
the Grammys may change up the Grammys too. I guess
that's a couple of weeks out.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
But yeah, they haven't confirmed it yet, but they're talking
about whether or not they might have to postpone.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
It, postpone it and make it a fundraiser, mm hmm.
It is one of the things that producers are talking about.
But back to the firefighters and the first responders, they
just must be exhausted. I mean, I can't even imagine
what a human being has to go through and then
when they sit down or get their first night or
a couple hours of rest or sleep, what that feels

(31:39):
like to one's body and knowing you got to get
up and keep going and keep doing it.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
Yeah, it's like they're on call twenty four to seven.
Our good friend is a firefighter, and they're not They're
not sleeping in beds like they're sleeping either in the engine,
the fire truck engine or just on the ground like legit,
on the ground.

Speaker 5 (31:56):
They really are like superhuman though. We went to a
state over the weekend to deliver some stuff and met
a couple of them, and they're so hopeful that you
can tell that they just want to work as hard
as they can, but you can tell that they're exhausted,
you know, like you can just see the exhaustion.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Well, the Palisades fired due to their work is at
fourteen percent containment. The even fire out to Dina is
at thirty three percent. Most LAUSD schools are open today
except the ones in Pasadena obviously, La Kenyata Unified, Santa
Monica schools are open. Malibu schools are close through Wednesday.
So we were just thinking about different ways to help

(32:36):
out and share some resources. As you mentioned you went
by the firehouse, Tanya, what we're doing with iHeart, our
parent company, Kiss FM, and iHeart are partnering with the
Dream Foundation LA to raise money and collect goods and
supplies for fire victims. Because you know, the thing is,
this is obviously all over the news and it will
continue to be all over the news, but then it

(32:58):
won't be.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
Already kind of not I would last night I wanted
to get some more coverage and it was just back
to usual.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Program and programming the story. The crisis doesn't end when
the cameras go away for people who have lost everything
and lost their homes, and the coverage will go down.
It will go away, but this is years and years
to get back up on your feet and you'll never
get some of those things back again. So if you

(33:25):
want to help out, you can donate now. Actually a
kiss fm dot com keyword donate or help us provide
immediate relief by stopping by the Dream Center that's in
downtown LA. You can drop off anything, any goods there
and people need you need like toiletry stuff, hygiene supplies,
eighty supplies, pets, displaced pets, pets need pet food, dog beds,

(33:50):
cleaning supply, I mean greats, everything, people need everything, so
you can actually physically do that Dtla. The Dream Center
also one hundreds of go Fundme pages of pop up
in the past week, maybe thousands of them. So one
thing that we are going to do here is just
look for people we've never met before, look for people
we don't know but who are in the listening area here,

(34:10):
and just give them the platform to tell their story
and shine a light on their go Fundme page too.
So if that's you, if you need help getting back
up on your feet and getting started again, we will
highlight your GoFundMe pages.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Call me let me know.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
Yep, got plenty of lines here, plenty of airtime eight
hundred and five to oh one O two seven at
Kiss FM.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
But it was you know, all weekend, it was.

Speaker 3 (34:34):
It was hectic, especially Friday after the show, very hectic.
I did have to I couldn't find a hotel. But
I did have to find a hotel over the weekend myself,
and you know, it's just me and Georgia and her
leash and her and her dog bowl, which I dropped
and broke. It was ceramic you need to travel dog

(34:56):
bull but that was not I kind of was like,
just let I got a couple of like you guys,
I got a couple of things, and I could see I.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Could see the fires from my home.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Yeah, and so I just sort of I grabbed my passport,
I grabbed my wallet, I grabbed her dog food and
bowl and just left. Yeah, so many people left and
lost their homes. Fortunately, you know, the fire got contained,
but in that area. I got put out in that area,
but it was one of those I was with a
buddy also on Friday, just checking in on him and

(35:26):
his kids. He got babies and his wife, and you know,
as soon as we got together to say hello, he
got the alert that they had to you know, that
they were already evacuated, but that the fire was basically
on their street were getting close to it. Ruby was
evacuated last Wednesday. Just got home to Eagle Rock and
so is everything okay with your home?

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Yeah, we're good.

Speaker 10 (35:48):
I think that's you know what we're really really just
grateful for, like never taking for granted the fact that
you can come home.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Yeah yeah, you know, yeah, but I mean the amount
of times I've been on that, I know.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
That app inside and out at this point.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Yeah, I do too.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
I think so many people have been have been using
that as well, and just friends saying are you okay?

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Are you safe?

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Just checking in and you checking in with them just
in general.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
I had to go get some dog food at the
dogs at the pet supply store yesterday, and when we
were checking out, I was just like, how are you?

Speaker 1 (36:21):
Like the person that was like, I'm like, are you good?

Speaker 7 (36:23):
Is there?

Speaker 4 (36:24):
Your family good? Like it's bringing all of us in LA.
I think closer than we've ever been before.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Yeah, people actually say hi to me when I say back, Yes.
I spent the last twenty five years saying hi and
no one responds.

Speaker 7 (36:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Different.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Now it's different.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
We'll say hi, they'll say hello.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
One dude, I was walking outside and one dude was
walking in his dog and he's like, stay safe.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Does he thank you you too? I know, never met him.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Making progress on the fires, but still only what fourteen
percent containment in the Palisades eating fire out to Dina's
at thirty three percent. I've not driven through these streets,
but friends of mine have and they've sent me video.
It's you cannot believe what you see.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
It's devastating.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
I cannot believe what you say.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
I've never seen anything like this in that in my lifetime.

Speaker 5 (37:11):
Never.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
And it's block after block after block, which is family
after family after family, which is memory after memory after memory,
which is people's stories and what's sick. You hear the
looting going on, You hear the la PD talking to
the looting. There's also some scams. Now we picked out
five as scams. There are more. Yeah, we pulled five

(37:33):
scams that you should be aware of. You should know
about them. One is the false job solicitation scams listening.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
Yeah, if you're looking for work related to fire recovery,
beware of job offers on social media that claim to
be from the government. Scammers may ask you to submit
personal details because you would if you were applying to
a legit job type of thing, such as your social
Security number, bank information, things like that. But it is
a scam, so just be on the lookout for that.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
So it's a false job solicitation. There's also one fake city, county,
or federal employees.

Speaker 4 (38:04):
Do not trust anyone who approaches you claiming to be
a representative of the city, So true the county or
federal government without proper identification.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
Yeah, I uh, you know, just going back to text,
I did get some strange.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
Texts, say, yeah, last couple of days I did too.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
Bank text like that were weird about my home, that
were weird.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
I don't even click into them.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
That's actually the next scam is tell me more phone
and text message scams. So beware of unsolicited phone calls
asking for donations for fire recovery or claiming to help
you recover your losses. Legitimate organizations will not cold call
you for donations. It's so bad that scammers may impersonate
FEMA or insurance agents asking for sensitive information.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
So don't fall for it.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
I mean, if if a person is doing that, think
of the karma the creating for themselves in a moment
like this, they're going underground up.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
Yeah, exactly, they're going down.

Speaker 4 (38:58):
Gift card or payment scams. Scammers may ask you to
pay for services or government fees using gift cards, wire
transfers or cryptocurrency, I mean scam scam scams.

Speaker 3 (39:08):
I understand crypto, but don't wire anything. Don't give if
someone's asking for it, like you said, right, I need it,
you'd be going for them, not them coming for you exactly.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
And the fraudulent donations last one, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (39:21):
This one really kind of breaks my heart because sadly
there are fake go fundmes out there, So be cautious
when you're donating to any sort of fire relief efforts
when they come to the go fundmes, because some people
just have taken images or other people's pictures of like
them with their family and saying that this family is
in need.

Speaker 8 (39:39):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
Do you know?

Speaker 4 (39:40):
You know, because you're getting legit go fundmes from your friends,
Like I started to go fundme for my friend Bonnie
who lost everything, and I said that I sent that
link out, like I sent that link out to all
my friends, and then in there I also said, like
it has my name and it says she's my friend.
You know, It's like so you know that it's coming
from someone.

Speaker 7 (39:57):
Shit.

Speaker 5 (39:57):
I've been like going through people too that are DM
me and they're giving me like specifics about like this
person did this, this person. Is this person their kids
go to this school, giving me like specifics of the
family so that I know it's not fake.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
So we're going to highlight people who are listening there
go for me pages.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
By the way.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
The other thing is, you know, we're going to get
through these fires and then they're going to be mudslides
because that vegetation is what protects the hillsides. So there's
gonna be This story is far from over. There's another
chapter to it, which is disaster written. You know, rain
floods and mudslides.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
That's so scary to think.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
You know, it's been interesting to hear from people who
don't live in La that you know, that don't understand La.
You gotta live here to understand La. I mean, it
is a unique place that is so spread out, and
when you look at these fires coming from all directions
and then popping up, especially at night, a new one
pops up. You know, people don't quite comprehend what Los

(40:56):
Angeles is.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
They just think LA's on fire, or.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
The topography in general, because if it's on the mountain
over the four h five on the other side, it's
like it's still like a concern.

Speaker 3 (41:07):
But that was a lot of questions. Did it jump
the four five? They jumped the one on one. I mean,
they don't understand what that means that I have to
speak Angelina.

Speaker 4 (41:17):
That was like a direct order. I heard to firefighters
that that night, I think with a Friday night going
into Saturday. They said, they don't let it jump the
four h five. Whatever you do.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
Well, once it jumped the four five from the Palisades,
then you're burning east into Beverly Hills in Eastlaire. Yeah,
wood and who knows down as well down Culver City direction.
So uh, let's get into this story. Though, just a
little bit of entertainment vibe to this story, entertainment news
to this story. But Charlie x c X is asking

(41:50):
to redirect gifting, right, Yes, So.

Speaker 5 (41:52):
I feel like a lot of celebrities have come out
to support the victims in various different ways, and it's
really awesome to see. But Charlie XX had an idea
and I thought it was pretty great. She said, as
a person in the public eye, I am often being
sent clothes and other things by brands wanting to gift
me something. This is very kind and sweet, but I
want to encourage brands to give to people who really

(42:15):
need it. So basically, she is saying to redirect, you know,
all the gifting that she gets as being somebody the
public guye that that goes to the victims and the
people who really need it right now. Also, Gene's smart
from hacks, she was kind of calling for award shows
not to be televised, asking on Instagram with all due respect,

(42:36):
during Hollywood season of celebration, I hope any of the
network's televising the upcoming awards will seriously consider not televising
them and donating the revenue that they would have garnered
to the victims and the firefighters. So I just feel like,
later see if anybody does that. Yeah, I do. But
I think the sentiment behind it is like, you know,

(42:56):
this is Los Angeles, this is the epicenter Hollywood, and
I feel like everybody's kind of looking to Hollywood to
see what they do, you know, because this is directly
impacting all of us.

Speaker 3 (43:10):
Well, things are being moved around in post one. I mean,
obviously the NFL moved that game tonight to Arizona.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
All the games over the weekend acknowledged the LA fires,
whether it was a moment of silence or just.

Speaker 3 (43:22):
An air quality, by the way, and that's the other
thing for teams to practice outside. I'm just thinking about
the where they were they practice.

Speaker 4 (43:32):
Yeah, the Chargers were affected with their schedule last week
with where they're practicing, which I think is why we
lost the game.

Speaker 2 (43:37):
I'm being honest, because of the air quality.

Speaker 1 (43:40):
You never know practice as as.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
And there's a lot on their minds. I think they're.

Speaker 4 (43:46):
Probably all affected with somebody that they know that lost
a home or whatever, you know, and so it was
a totally im.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
Possible not to know someone that hasn't been directly impacted
everyone and everyone is feeling the emotional impact.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
Of this for everybody else.
