Speaker 1 (00:00):
I've not seen this yet. I've talked about it Sinners,
Michael B. Jordan, Ryan Kugler. It's a new movie. Coogler
directed Black Panther, right, which was like a masterpiece. And
what's the scene that it's set back in the.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Day, right, Yeah, it's set back in the nineteen thirties
in Mississippi, and it follows twin brothers who both are
portrayed by Michael B. Jordan's You get double the Michael B.
Jordan in the film. That's cool. They returned to their
hometown flash start.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
I mean, it's a movie, it's a live well I know,
but that feels hard. It's a lot of work.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Yeah. Sure, the movie. Let me just tell you, it
has so many twists and turns. So the minute you
think that you have it figured out and you're invested
in one way of how you think the movie's going
to go, it just completely one eighties you and you go,
oh my gosh, my mind is blown. It's got action,
it's got romance, it's got vampires, and it's and the
(00:56):
direction of the vampires is a whole other way that
you didn't think it was going to go. So I
was able to catch up with Hailey Steinfeld who's also
stars in the film, and she is incredible in this
movie as well. And this is what she had to
say about it.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
This movie will challenge you. It will leave you thinking
about it for days. It's exciting if the music is incredible.
The performances are out of this world. And there's not
one Michael but two Michael B. Jordan's of this movie,
so he is so phenomenal in it. Everyone really showed
up and I'm so gripful to be a part of
this and I can't wait for everyone to see it.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
What about the music would's struck you? About the music?
Speaker 2 (01:30):
The music is kind of what you've pictured the nineteen thirties.
It's a lot of jazz blues influence, and it really
is almost like a character in itself in the movie
because that takes you on a journey too, and it's
really great how they were able to incorporate that into
like the soundtrack. And then she even has a song
it's called Dangerous, which will be out tomorrow along with
the film that's out tomorrow, and here's a taste of that.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Give Me One Nights, Give Me One Night Duties, Give
Me One Night with the hands on this.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
You give me one night, don't be sapping. Give me
one night.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Dailey steinfelt there, give me and did it not get
one hundred percent on Rotten Tomatoes. That's a huge deal.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
How mind blowing is that when I was looking this up,
one hundred percent on Rotten Tomatoes currently right now.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
So dang, they're hard critics, they really are. That's the
last thing I've seen gotten one hundred percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
I can't even remember.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
I don't think I've ever seen anything get one hundred percent.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yeah, I'm telling you.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
And I like movies that are at forty six percent
on Rotten Tomatoes. But that was a good one.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
So I was able to see this movie early, like
on a screener, just on my laptop, and I feel
robbed because you want to go. I want to go IMAX.
I mean I want to go in the theater and
experience it. I MAX, because that's how they say that
you was shot this way, like it's all cut off,
like when you watch it on a laptop or your TV.
It's meant to be an ibaxed, and it gives you
so much more in the way like the scenes were shot.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
It's I need to go and see it in my sinners.
