Speaker 1 (00:00):
On On with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Mario Lopez, You're back behind the mic to get you
through this Monday, help you out a great weekend. Lots
going on today. My guest is Disney Star and Dancing
with the Stars contestant Chandler Kenny Well. I was just
gonna tell you about the surprising actress who we have
to thank for the John Wick franchise. And we're gonna
get to your comments too, so hit up our mentions.
You're on with Mario Lopez, John Mario, Courtney Lopez. Let's
(00:26):
put a spotlight on my wife. I get Courtney's random question.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
What you got, honey, if you were a race car driver,
what kind of car would you drive?
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Well, if you're a race car driver, you have the
options of like Formula one, NASCAR or drag racing. I'm
gonna keep it general and I would do Formula one
because they've got the most creative tracks and it's the bougiest.
See if you making all kinds of money, if you're good,
(00:56):
think about race car driving. Much like boxing, everything can
be going great and then one hit and that's all
she wrote.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
More Mario Lopez coming.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Up, You're all Mario Lopez let's take a look at
what's on TV today. What do we got?
Speaker 4 (01:09):
TBS has season twenty one of American Dad.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Wow, that's a lot of seasons. Animation I feel gets
favorable runs because the characters always look the same right Ever,
no one's aging, they're stuck in time.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Max has season eight of People Magazine Investigates, where each
episode explores a chilling murderer.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Even People Magazine has gotten into the murder game. That's wild.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
And Hulu has Jake Makes It Easy. Jake Cohen highlights
Jewish cuisine. Tonight, it's Iraqi salmon and date brownies. Mario
Lopez here. Coming up on Thursday. Our guest will be
actor Liam Neeson.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
He's going to be talking about his new movie Absolution,
but it may be one of his last action films ever.
He says he's retiring from action in twenty twenty five.
He's seventy two years old. Night looks great. He's gonna
start to do other genres. In fact, he's got the
Naked Gun sequel next year. Looking forward to that. I'm
gonna be sure to ask.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Him about it.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yal Mario Lopez with a story about how Eva Longoria
save John Wick.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
On with Mario Hollywood was so.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
It's been a decade since the first John Wick movie
theaters in the franchise has made about a billion dollars
since then. But turns out none of that would have
happened if it wasn't for Evil Longoria. Back in the day,
the filmmakers had run out of money and they had
already put all of their own cash into the project,
with the producer personally max sent out three credit cards,
but they needed six million dollars to make ends meet
(02:36):
on the day before filming started, and someone called up Eva,
who cut a check for the six million to keep
the production alive. Wait a minute, I'm good friends of their.
I never knew this. Eva's got six million just to
be hanging out. If this is just a rumor, it's
a good one. I'm gonna have to fact check this
and give her a call. But I would imagine she's
(02:56):
a producer on this right? Is her name in any
of the credits?
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Kyle?
Speaker 2 (03:00):
We need to google that.
Speaker 5 (03:01):
Let's see.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Is Eva Longoria a producer on John Wick?
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Evil Longoria producer?
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Really on John Wick?
Speaker 5 (03:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Good for her. I can't believe this. I'm gonna have
to hit her up then and say, wow, Hey, you
know what. Bravo eva, Mario Lopez coming up. Mario Lopez,
here is some quick buzz for you. Young people say
they want TV and movies to keep it in the
friend zone. Sixty three percent of viewers under twenty four
(03:29):
they'd rather watch content about platonic relationships. The trend's even
bigger than a year ago, when the same study found
about fifty to fifty split on explicit entertainment. Well, as
a father to a teenage daughter, this is fantastic news.
I don't know if it's coming from a spiritual place
or a scared place, but whatever place that's coming from,
(03:51):
I'm here for it. What o Mario Lopez here. Today's
guest is one of the front runners of the current
season of Dancing with the Stars and his actress Chandler Kitty.
We're gonna find out what she has in store for
tomorrow night. After a few more sons, Toby Al Mario
Lopez joining me now on Zoom from Dancing with the
Stars actress Chandler Kenny. How you doing, Chandler, I'm great.
Speaker 6 (04:12):
How are you, Mario?
Speaker 2 (04:13):
I'm well. Nice to see you again. I believe I
may have asked you before, but were you a fan
of the show before you joined, or was it just
something you thought might be fun to do.
Speaker 6 (04:23):
I was a fan of the show.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
I loved watching Dancing with the Stars growing up with
my parents and my brothers. It was kind of like
a family of fairy would all gather around the TV
every night and vote, and it was it was so
much fun. It just really brought the family together. I
think that's what's so special about the show. It's one
of like the last shows I feel like where it's
like reality you get to know people, but also it's
(04:46):
like it's for everyone, so I love being a part
of it. It's been like a pipe dream, and the
fact that it's real now feels like it feels like
a dream.
Speaker 6 (04:54):
I don't know how I ended up here, but I'm
so grateful.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
What's been the biggest challenge for you so far?
Speaker 6 (05:01):
I think the pace of the show. You did the show,
and you were obviously incredible.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
I was a fan of you.
Speaker 5 (05:09):
And you know, it's like non stop and you're learning
something new every single day, not only in the rehearsal
room about dance, but then also about yourself and how
you work and I think for me, one of the
biggest challenges to coming in as an actor is putting
aside the front of like getting to embody someone else
(05:31):
and just having to be yourself, you know, And I
think that's so vulnerable and challenging.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
But I've been.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
Learning so much every day about myself and it's been
it's been amazing.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Well, it's been working out. You've had some of the
highest score so far, and so far, so good. Well,
you can watch Dancing with the Stars Tuesdays on ABC.
All right, let's take a quick break. We're gonna come
back more with Chanda.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Kiddie, Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Mario Lopez here talking Dancing with the Stars or that
Chandler Kinny and who have you been getting along with her?
The closest to I should say backstage.
Speaker 6 (06:10):
I mean, all the pros are incredible.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
It's nice getting to know them because you're obviously working
with your partner the majority of the time, but then
you get to see especially this week, we have teen Dance,
so I get to work with other incredible pros like
Jenna and like Alan, and it just they all have
different ways of doing things. So that's been fun. But
on the contestant side. I love Steven, that's my guy.
(06:34):
We just joke all all night long in the skybox,
and just hearing his story at the Olympics was insane.
Jen Tran, she's our bachelorette the season. She's definitely become
a really, really close friend. It's nice because it's a
little bit of a bubble and so you only the
people in it know exactly what you're going through, so
(06:54):
you do form a really tight bond.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Absolutely, Well, I want to hear what you've got planned
for all aween Ni. But right now, let's play more
m Mario Lopez here. My guess is Chandler Kenney from
Dancing with the Stars. Coming up is Halloween Nightmares night
fun theme right there? Anything you can tease us with?
Speaker 6 (07:12):
Oh well, I love Halloween.
Speaker 5 (07:14):
I especially have grown a fond love for it with
my show Pretty Little Liars, and so I feel like
I might take a little bit inspiration from that world.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
Okay, just really spooky and eerie. I yeah, I don't.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
Want to say say too much, but that definitely has
my wheels turning a bit.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Can you can you talk about the song?
Speaker 6 (07:40):
It's a recognizable song.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Okay, I've heard I think it's something.
Speaker 6 (07:46):
It's a song that a lot of people know the
words too, so I think people will like it.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
That helps you.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
Are you dressing up this year?
Speaker 4 (07:52):
Folloween?
Speaker 6 (07:54):
You know, I han't even thought about it.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
I need to.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
I need like inspiration for costumes. Are you dressing up?
Are you doing anything for Halloween?
Speaker 4 (08:01):
I am.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I'm gonna dress up as trabultas character a Saturday Night
Saturday Night Fever. Ironically, I'm going to do the dance
too on the show, So the whole disco dance, and
so that should be a lot of fun.
Speaker 6 (08:15):
That's amazing, that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
I like I like to wear. I don't like like
masks or makeup or anything. So as long as I
don't have to do that, that'll be good. Whatever I'm
selecting has ways and more music. Jo Al Mario Lopez
wrapping things up with Chandler Kidny from Dancing with the Stars.
Now next year Zombies four Dawn of the Vampires. What's
going on with that one?
Speaker 5 (08:38):
Yeah, I'm so stoked for people to see this movie.
It is just such a dream for us to be
able to continue the franchise. So many people love it.
We love it so We're happy to do it filmed.
Speaker 6 (08:49):
In New Zealand. I think that is fun.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
The biggest thing I start with that because it's a
completely different landscape, new characters, new sights, and new maybe
villains and so.
Speaker 6 (09:02):
And a new species. We have vampires and day walkers
and so.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
I think what I love about the zombie franchise is
that it's you know, it's it's always growing, never ending changing.
Speaker 6 (09:14):
And so we just get to expand our world to
new horizons. I'm really excited for people to see it.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Well, congrats on that and good luck. We'll be checking
you out and listen watch Dancing with the Stars Tuesdays
on ABC. Chanler, thanks for hanging out.
Speaker 6 (09:30):
Thank you so much. This is a pleasure. I'm glad
I got to join from my trailer.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Yeah no, all right, good luck, sweaty to take care.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
D jet Ski is probably referring to the time I
hosted Miss ten USA. And it resurfaces every once in
a while.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
God, every once in a while something comes up on
my page every day.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Yeah, it's pretty much. It's kind of cool that I
was a part of that moment. That was miss teen
South Carolina, and bless your heart, she clearly misunderstood the
question and then just started spewing all kinds of stuff.
And you can't help her, his host, You just gotta
let her, just gotta let her do what she's going
to do. And I just hit her with thank you,
Miss South Carolina.

as from Gladiator. Based on this last Joker. He's even
distancing himself. I would say Joaquin forty eight.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
I think he is walking into the fifth level.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Fifty he is fifty Yeah, great joke. One wow from
Pretty Woman and Aaron Brockovich.

Mario Lopez and Todd Chris Lee cannot hold down a
job behind bars.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
On with Mario Lopez Hollywood butt.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
So the former reality star is serving time for committing
tax evasion and bank fraud, and it doesn't sound like
things are going smoothly for him. The warden fired him
from his job at the prison chapel. He was helping
organize some of the religious services there, but something happened
which caused him to be let go. And he's gonna
have a lot of spare time on his hands now.
He's not scheduled to be released until June of twenty
(14:51):
thirty two. That's a good chunk of time right there. Wow,
you better start praying.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Or Mario Lope coming up.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
You're all Mario Lopez time now for one last thing.
Laura Dern continues to lean into age gap romances. Earlier
this year, she starred in the steamy drama Lonely Planet
with Liam Hemsworth. Laura is fifty seven, by the way,
Liam thirty four. Well she's at it again, getting cozy
while filming season two of the Apple TV show Palm Royale.
(15:23):
This time the actor is Jacob Maya, who's even younger
than Liam. Coincidentally, I just saw Laura Duram the other
night at dinner. She was sitting right next to me.
Oh she looks great, very tall, very tall and very sweet. Now,
the age gap roles have been a trend recently. There
was Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Gallaxine and the Idea of You,
(15:44):
Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron had a movie together, and
in December, Nicole's at it again with Baby Girl and
her co star Harris Dickinson.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
So, all right, ladies, more Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
