Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Here we go, Mario Lopez back by the mic, hoping
you can hang with us for the next few hours.
A lot of radio fun to get into, including another
helpful life act in Courtney's corner, dig into our mentions
to see what's on your mind, and catch up on
the Hollywood buzz, including a little.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Oscars follow up. So turn it up. You're on with
Mario and Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
You're a Mario Lopez digging into the buzz for a
little Oscars follow up. Of course, Honora won the night
with five awards, Mikey Madison for Best Supporting Actress. The
other four went to Honora's director, He swept directing, screenwriting,
and editor Sean Baker, breaking a record held by Walt Disney.
That's impressive and the most impressive thing to me about
(00:43):
the film, which I really like. By the way, it
was only made for six million dollars. Oh wow, which
goes to show that's very very modest budget. You've got
some of these budgets on these Netflix films that are
like two hundred and fifty million, ridiculous, And look at
this six million and swept.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
That's pretty amazing. Words and pretty unheard.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Of exactly very impressive.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
I also thought Conan O'Brien did a good job as
his host, a lot of viral moments. Poor Drake still
can't catch a break, just just oh my gosh, he's
catching strays over here with the Kendrick Lamar lyrics.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Still.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Adrian Brody also toss gum to his wife Karen Coulkin,
telling his wife they gotta go for baby number four
after having tequila shots with me on the red carpet again.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Yes, seem to be his good luck charms. Such a
nice guy. Him and his wife are awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Also had a lot of fun with a viral moment
that's everywhere.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Still I'll get into that in just a bit. On
myri dot com for all the highlights.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
More Mario Lopez coming up music Girls on Mario Lopez

Wild Things Haha. Step into the glamorous yet chaotic world

she navigates the complexities of blended family, blah blah blah blah.

So nice, little plan words, wild things to little nod
to one of her famous films.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Great film, Yes back in the day.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
It's funny because the dynamics here, they really get into
the whole family being on OnlyFans, very very modern, progressive look.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
At the family there.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Netflix has the season premiere and series premiere of With
Love Megan. Megan Markle invites friends and famous guests to

back of a fan and attach a net onto the
(03:41):
front of the fan.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Turn on the fan.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
Don't put your fingers in it. The mosquitos will fly
to the light, Carol Anne and get stuck into the
fan and trapped to the net.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Wow, don't go into the lay.

Drake been going through it. Amrio dot com for all
that and more.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
You're a Mario Lopez digging into the buzz because both
Millie Bobby Brown and Bibi Rex are clapping back on.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
With Mario Hollywood buzz so Stranger Things.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Actress Millie Bobby Brown has had it with the haters.
Milly recently clapped back of those who criticized her online,
saying that her new blonde hair makes her look substantially
older than she is. One commenter even saying, I can't
believe she's only twenty.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
She looks thirty five.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Fans defended her in the comments section, and Millie eventually
responded to the hate by commenting, women grow not sorry
about it. You know, I don't think it's really the hair.
I think whoever her stylist is chose a very mature
outfit that was not complementary to her youthfulness.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yeah, sometimes the way you dress makes you look a
little older or whatever. And she's out doing events and stuff, right,
people are gonna pick clothes for her.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
Yeah, leave Millie alone.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Meanwhile, bb Rex had taken on the body shamers after
someone dropped rude comments about her during a recent IG live.
When asked about it, Boebe responded that she's unbothered by it,
adding that instead of letting all that break her down,
it's actually made her feel more powerful. She's been working
on new music and been putting it into my music.
Go ahead, now, Boebe, that's the way to handle that more.

believe it or not. Legendary songwriter was up for Best
Original Song for a track The Journey from the six
(07:31):
Triple Eight, but unfortunately lost to El Mahr from Emelia Perez.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
So if you're keeping count, which you know she.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Is, that makes sixteen consecutive losses, which ties he for
the most official nominations lost without ever winning a Golden
statue atte which I say is far more important than
being nominated once in winning once, because that means you
were relevant and important sixteen times. You were great sixteen times.
(08:00):
So go ahead, Diane Warren at all, Mario on Facebook
and X at all Mario Lopez on Instagram Mario Lopez
here and love hearing from your questions comments, whatever you got,
what'd you find for us today? Frasier?
Speaker 4 (08:13):
This is from at Creed Fan eighty nine. Why do
we just walk around pretending that it's not weird that
one of our hands is better at doing everything than
the other.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
Well, creed Fan eighty nine.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Your dominant hand usually just that it dominates the other one.
It's weird because for me, I only obviously write with
one hand, but I do a lot of other stuff
with my left hand that I'm actually better at with
my right hand. For example, in my combat sport hobbies.
When I'm boxing, the left hand is much more dangerous
(08:44):
my left hook, and in jiu jitsu, I lead with
my left hand and in wrestling, So.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
Your left hand is your fighting specialty and my left hand.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Is it is it's my fighting and grappling specialty all
sports for that matter.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
I just want to lead.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
More with my left hand, which is weird. But there's
some people that can do both. Those people are special.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Music rolls on Mario Lopez here, letting you know a

(09:40):
buzz to dig into, and just a bid Mario Lopez.
You're going to tell you who Megan Marvel is.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Accused of ripping off?
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Now, plus a music history lesson coming up, a few
celeb birthday shout outs, and of course more music.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
So get those requests in now over on x at
on with Mario. Time for some Tuesday birthday shout outs.
Mario Courtney Lopez here, all right, let's list them off.
Guess him quickly.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Seventy seventy sixty nine, sixty six, sixty six, okay.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
Catherine O'Hara from Creek Home Alone, A Million Things, seventy
Are you gonna get seventy for every one of them?
Sixty eight seventy one see an Emelio Estefan from Miami
sal machine, mister Gloria Emelia.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Emilio's got to be seventy.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
No, you didn't have the energy with that one. I
know what he said, seventy seventy five, seventy two.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
See, I'm pretty good.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
I get seventy actually.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Oh, Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Quick to look at the bus because Megan Markle is
being accused of being a copycat again on.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
With Mario Lopez Hollywood Bus.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
So we mentioned earlier in the show that Megan Markle's
new cooking show, We'd Love Megan just hit Netflix and
Meghan already being called out.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
I was quick. She's being a.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Cue of ripping off Pamela Anderson's cooking show Pamela Cooking
with Love, which premiered in February. In a video for
his YouTube channel, Royal Expert Neil Sewan called Marvel's show
a frame for frame copy in some cases, even showing
side by side images to prove his point. Ouch one
comparison showed a shot a Marcle high fiving her guest
(11:22):
on set next to one of Anderson high fighting her guests,
and it does look really similar. The other examples do
as well. She just can't seem to catch a break
here in America or over in the UK.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
Well, this follow is like she changed the name of
her like lifestyle brand and it's the same as some
company in New York, some small shop in New York.
And then she also stole a logo from a Spanish
town or something.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Yeah, I remember we talked about that and interested to
see how this all plays out.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
More Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Never a shortage of things to celebrate. You're on, Mario
Courtney Lopez. What are we celebrating today?
Speaker 5 (12:00):
It is Happy National Grammar Day, not Andy grammar.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
But proper grammar, not Kelsey grammar.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Or Kelsey grammar.
Speaker 5 (12:07):
It's a holiday to encourage the use of proper grammar
is both verbal and written communication.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
One of my pet peeves is when people just disregard
grammar and it texts. Have a friend who does that.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
It bugs me.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
He considers himself a writer or two and his grammar
is so poor and he.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Just bugs the crap out of me, So he better
step it up. Today, music rolls on as we squeeze
in a little more. Oscars follow up, You're onl Mario Lopez.
Oscars paying tribute to the people we lost recently, like
Gene Hackman, David Lynch, and Bob Newhart. But not without
a little controversy. Some people were left out of the tribute.
Some notable emissions included Candy Man, actor Tony Todd, Shannon Doherty,
(12:46):
Michelle Trachtenberg, and Mitzi Gainer. While they weren't part of
the segment, they were remembered online, so you can see
that list on the Academy's website. Some fans were not
too happy with the decision to leave them out of
the televised tribute. Yeah, you know, it takes like zero
point five seconds to include them. I felt like they
should have maybe included them. It's it would have made
(13:07):
their families really happy. One more Oscars thing I want
to talk about, so I hang time for that, get
into it right after a little.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
More music Amaro Lopez.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
And one last thing I wanted to mention about the Oscars,
something that actually made happen on the red carpet and
pretty proud of. This was probably my wildest and most
successful award show season. Starting off with the Golden Globes,
my boy Karen Kulkin started doing tequila shots with me
and gave me a shout out at.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
The globes and he won.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Also, I got a graphic by Nicki Glazier.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
That's right, you got a shout out during the awards exactly.
Actually you, I think you got more mentioned. I think
she said you got more mentions than God.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
That's true. That's true.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
I appreciated that Karen did more shots when me and
the oscars a red carpet.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Clearly I'm a good luck charm because.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
He won that, yep.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
And Adrian Brody, who's also a great guy, got to
speak with him, and I kind of extended the interview
on purpose because I saw Halle Berry walking by and
I yelled for Halle and she came over and she
made an iconic moment on Access Hollywood's history that went
viral everywhere. She interrupted the interview and said, politely to
(14:18):
his lady, Georgina, I'm sorry, but I have to do
this and planet a big kiss on Adrian Brody, just
like he planted on her twenty two years ago when
he won his Oscar and I was right in the
middle of it. It seemed awkward and it was awesome
all at once, but I'm like, wow, that's really cool
that it happened right in front of my cameras, and
Adrian turned and looked at me and says, wow, your
(14:39):
ratings just went on.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
That's great.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
So it was very, very cool, and it was viral everywhere.
And Halle is the absolute coolest to do that.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
I just just.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Can't say enough sweet things about her. And Adrian went
on to win the Academy Award, so good for him.
So it was a great, great time. And that's the
end of award season, folks, until September when we'll see
at the Emmys. More Mario Lopez on the way All

Speaker 4 (15:49):
You're becoming a regular.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Yes, the horse racetrack to be specific.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Santa Nita Park was a beautiful park and full disclosure,
I was there with my neighbor Bob Baffert, who is
probably the most famous and winning a horse trainer of
all time. Ironically, he lost that day.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
His horse came in a.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Second, but it was Bob on a lost day.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
You know, it's it's unpredictable, well, of course, but now
there's a bit of a rivalry. Journalism is a horse
that one, and he'll probably be the favorite calm the derby.
But Bob's horse horses, I should say, Barnes and Rodriguez
will be in the mix. It should be one heck of.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
A dirty If not, it sounds like they could start
on a buddy cop show Barnes and it does it really,
it really does.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
But it's such a good time and if you haven't
had a chance to go out to the racetrack.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
It's so much fun.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
You take the.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Kids, even, you can bet as little as fifty cents
and you just.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
You just have a good time.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
And when it's a beautiful day and at the track,
you're just kind of hanging out and seeing all the
people and the energy.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
It's really underrated. So I strongly suggest going if you've
never been.
