Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wake that ass up in the morning. The Breakfast Club Morning.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Everybody is Steve j n V, Jess Hilarius, Charlamage, the guy.
We are the Breakfast Club. We got a special guest.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
In the building.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
Yes, indeed, Michael Randy Jr.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Welcome. We just got a whole toyal about water. Came
in and broke down water schoolers. Michael.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I'm trying to tell her, like she got the artificially alcoholic,
then she got going m V ship.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
So Essince you's artificial.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
I mean I've been hearing that. You know, it's like
they've charged it up a little bit. It's not naturally alkaline,
it's not naturally nine point five. He's lovely, you know
what I'm saying. They do a little something to it,
and I don't know if that's healthy for us.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
You know, they wanted the biggest sponsors of Power Book
two season four or Centil water.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
You didn't know that, damn my bad.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Y'alla Gucci yo, y'all go get your.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
You know, Jeff bet that you weren't gonna make it
this morning. That's crazy, That's what Like I seen him yesterday,
he looked tired. I don't think he's gonna make it
so we out of here.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I almost didn't throw. I ain't gonna. I almost did
it because I was I woke up and I did
the whole onion in the sock thing too, and I
thought it was gonna work, you know, so you you
it's it's a remedy, like when you're sick, you throw
the you throw vix on your heels and on the
bottom of feet. You put onions in socks and like
the sulfur or whatever it is, and it takes all
it takes. But it ain't really get rid of nothing

(01:22):
for me but a little something. I'm a little better
than last night. You covid no no, no, no, just a
little like sinus and all that weird stuff going around,
weather changing, allergies, and then we're traveling, traveling all this stuff.
I'm head or were chilling.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
How do you feel? Man series for now? Power Book
two Ghosts.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
We've been watching power for ten years, literally watched When
You Grow Up on television. I didn't feel knowing that
there's an in around the corner.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
It's a bittersweet feeling, like obviously, you know, like it's
been a long run. It's been a long legendary run.
But like, you know, God's timing is everything, and like
everything gotta come to an end. And also like I
feel like it's just time, Like it's just time for
you know, to you know, step into the next chapter
in my career. You know, look he looked at in
a different type of light. You know, everything was was great,

(02:11):
and I'm thankful for it, but I'm definitely ready to
you know, to move on into the next chapter. So
I'm happy about, you know, the end and everything because
it's a good time. It's not like it's dragged down
or anything like, oh when is it gonna end? People
was like, no, I don't end it. So it was
like I'd rather end on that note rather than like,
oh when is this going to end? Dragging it out?
So I'm happy with where's at right now.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Did you really find out on social media that.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
I was told I took a page out of fifty
book that one. I just knew it was going to
stirred up part. I knew people was going to react
to it, so I'm like, let me just see what happens.
But now they told me before you know, everyone knew,
but I just wanted to troll everybody, and I knew
it was gonna get it reacted.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
What was that feeling when they told you? How did
you actually feel like in that moment?

Speaker 3 (02:50):
In the moment, I was kind of confused because I'm like,
that don't even make sense. Well, i mean, like we
you know, one of the top performing on the network
is like, that's a you know, it's a weird piece.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
I just started cheeks. I was just about to get
another car.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yo. Don't get me start with the car because they
got me that Porsch and they took it right from you.

Speaker 6 (03:14):
The same day.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
I was like, damn, I'm like, well, I can't even
enjoy my you know, I mean, y'all remember man, no.

Speaker 7 (03:24):
Coming the same day I got it. Yeah, first time
you got a call they took it from I'm like, damn,
you just get this boy car.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Didn't want me to be driving.

Speaker 7 (03:35):
But what about on set though, because I know you're
you're pretty close with you know, your co stars, and
like with with it coming to and and is it
like like you said, it's bittersweet, but filming with them,
because I know somebody probably everybody don't take it like
everybody's like damn, man, you know, because everybody hasn't started
when you started, so how does it feel on set?

Speaker 3 (03:56):
On set, it was it was just regular because we
didn't we didn't know that we were filming out last season.
Like while we were filming, we were just like, all right,
let's just you know what I'm saying, let's just make
this season better than last season. We wasn't filming season
four with oh, this is the last season in the
back of our mind. So once the season was in
the can, that's kind of when like all the news
started being passed around for me. So we were all

(04:17):
set at that time. But obviously, you know, I spoke
to some of my cast members and stuff, and they
was confusing, a little bit disappointed, but then they also
got to understand, you know, the reasoning and behind the
scenes of why everything happened in the way it's happening now.
But definitely a lot of people's confused. A lot of
people was like taken back by it, as I was.
But you know, it don't make sense at the end
of the.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Day, because it feels like if Power Book two ends,
then the whole universe ends, maybe not raising Kane because
there's an origin story, but do you still do Force
with Tommy, like do you still do others?

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Like you know, yeah, I mean Tommy he all the
way in Chicago's you know what I'm saying, it's not
really you don't really got much to do with our
So obviously he pops in and out. But like, I
don't think that's really going to affect ForSight Force is
still gonna keep rolling, And obviously Canaan isn't. That's like
twenty years prior to you know, the time, and that
we are filming it, so they'll be fine as well.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
You know, you know about a book three, book three,
the Power.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Book Three's.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
That's what it's called.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
His ghost Book three is Kanan and then for his for.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
He's got to do something with your characters.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
I don't believe it. I believe they might get rid
of the power ghost thing. It's going to evolve to
something else. It'll be powered something else, you.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Know, I hope, because look, I'm ready to keep rolling.
I'm ready to keep giving the fans what they want,
you know what I'm saying. But you know it's all
you know, all in the you know, higher up stains.
But listen, whenever, if they call me back, I'm here,
but I'll just be awaiting.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
That you don't die. If you think they're gonna call
you back. You don't die this season. You don't die
in the finale.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Listen, man, nobody's say can't die.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
It's just like, what.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
What do you mean that we can't die? I thought
ghost couldn't die.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah, ghost could get got gas. Probably not even did.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
I don't know ghosts never died.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
You know, so crazy.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Three seasons ago, we would have cheered like a motherfucker
got killed.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
I'm saying, That's.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
What I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
I'm like, Yo, they actually want me, they want me
to keep rocking. I'm surprised it's different now. They definitely
did a whole and eighty from you know, the original
character development. Yeah, shout out to the writers man, because
I don't know when they told me they was gonna
basically been nof for me. I'm like, bro, wow, what
was this hate me? Oh? It wasn't even a cold.
We was on set, we was filming season six. Fifty

(06:36):
came to set and you know, like, I be just
you know, I just be chilling. Fifty came to me.
He's like yo, mad casual too, He's like yo, you
know you gotta get ready for you know, your own
ship after this, right, I'm like, what are you talking about?
Like you're gonna have your own show. I'm like on
the show how he was stealing Tariko, I'm like, what show?
What are you talking about? He's like he said just
get ready. I'm like whatever, I'm just thinking he'd being

(06:57):
fifty just trolling, you know what I'm saying. And then
like two weeks after that, Courtney Kemp told me the
same exact thing. She looked like getting ready for. So
when she told me that, I was like, oh, oh
this is real, Like this is she not playing? And
then like in my mind, I'm still thinking like how,
Like how are y'all about to make this show based
off of me? Where nobody likes me? Like I just
killed the most loved character in the Hole Entime franchise?

(07:20):
How do y'all think this is gonna work?

Speaker 6 (07:21):
Were you scared?

Speaker 7 (07:21):
Were you nervous?

Speaker 3 (07:23):
I was nervous until Fifty told me that certain people
thought I wasn't ready for it. And then I was like, oh,
y'all bugging, Like y'all really bugging and Fifty is like
and I told him, I'm like, Yo, no, I'm a
proven wrong And he was like, no, I don't even
think in your mind like proving them wrong. Just prove
yourself right. I was like, that's a good way to look.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
At it to Yeah, so like other executives, executives felt
like you were already.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
I'm not gonna say who or the position they was in,
but it was some you know, some a little a
little bit of Dowgers in there, but you know it
changed their minds. I mean I needed that though. I
needed that. I needed them to, you know, to make
you know, just like it's a little motivation, like you
don't think I'm ready, I'm ready?

Speaker 1 (07:58):
How did that fuck with you? Mentally? Though?

Speaker 5 (08:00):
Like just growing up and having social media, I used
to be on the radio getting at you.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Everybody not like that.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
I ain't gonna forget it's not Mike when if?

Speaker 5 (08:13):
But how did that feel? Like I'm just playing a character?
And I used to see videos of people running up
on you. I don't know it was fake.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
I want the one with Ben that was that was
a skip, but there was literally people running up with me.
It was a time like some of my friends literally
had to drape somebody up because he stepped to me,
like walking out of a party, like he was really
you know what I'm saying. So stuff like that really
used to happen. At first, I was like, what the
heck is wrong with people? Like like you know what
I'm saying. But after a while, like I kind of like,
you know, obviously I grew up, you know, I got

(08:40):
a little more mature and I kind of like understood people,
and I understood like, you know, the show was just
you know, it was just evoking emotions out of people.
That's what you know, that's what you kind of want
when you purtain the character when you're in the show.
You want people to you know, you want to bring
emotions out of people.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Do you understand that?

Speaker 3 (08:57):
At first?

Speaker 1 (08:57):
I did it.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
At first, I'm like, Yo, these people is bugging Like Yo,
I'm just doing my job in it. After a while,
you know, like obviously, having like different conversations with you know,
people on the cast like Omari, you know, and fifty
and everybody, it was like, yo, it's a given, Like
obviously you're doing something right. If these people mad at you,
like you like, what you're doing on the screen is
supposed to make people mad. So the fact that they
mad is good. And after I looked at it like that,

(09:18):
I'm like, I was like, yeah, it's all love. Like
I just started laughing at it after a while.

Speaker 7 (09:22):
Did you ever see the meme online where they say
you you play the kid, you're known as the kid
they give the parents problems like from.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
Barbercope and love and empower.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
That's funny, and I think that's another reason my character. Also,
they kind of built my character on that because they
in the hiatus of season two going into the filming
season three of film Barber Scope, and I guess they
saw like, you know, like me portraying that, you know,
having that up and down relationship with your father, and
I guess they kind of just was like, oh, we
could kind of build on that in our show. You know,

(09:54):
they kind of just translated. And that's really just the
wrightst like they literally look at everything outside of the
show and really build on that, like even the reactions
from the fans, Like that's another reason to re started
doing more and more crazy and stuff because they saw
that the fans was reacting to it.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
That's why we got a car, That's why they re
got cheeks.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
People like get his call and they literally wrote that
in That's a fact. That's a fact.

Speaker 6 (10:21):
Damn. So you yo, you be throwing music too, that's
what would you like? More like passion.

Speaker 7 (10:28):
I know it's a hot demand for you to act obviously,
but your music is that something that you've always wanted
to do?

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Oh yeah, Like I fell in love with music before
I fell in love with anything autistically, Like when I
was when I was a baby, my mom used to
just put me to sleep listening to like Beethoven and stuff.
I used to just hum it, like like just humming
it as a baby. And then I was like five
around this time, I was at my grandmother's house and
I heard krs want the Bridges over like that little
piano me. That just suck in my head like the

(10:59):
whole entire day until I got back home and I
got on the piano and I was just playing the
keys and I just found the keys and I just
played it by ear and then like more and more
songs wild start coming on, Like I was just like
here like public Service and I was by jay Z.
I played that on my piano, Like there's little stuff
I could just like just remake. I just playing it
on my piano.

Speaker 6 (11:15):
So you play instrument.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Yeah, I used to, Like, I used to love the
drums a lot, piano, I used to play that. I
mean I still do here and there, but like a
lot more back in the day when I had like
I had a piano teacher and all that rest in peace,
mister Mitchell. But yeah, and then as I got older,
I kind of just got into like, like, you know,
they're electronically producing on my computer and stuff like that.
And it was really Ryan Leslie that inspired me to
really start like, yeah, he's super tough. Like when I

(11:39):
was young, I used to watch his little vlogs when
he used to go to the studio and like make
his songs. Like the one video that I really used
to watch damn there every day was when he made Addicted.
That video when he was in the studio making Addicted
with Cassie. Yeah, bro. And then I literally made that
whole beat like from scratch myself, like I remade it.
I was like twelve, and then I was just like, yo,
I gotta start making beats. And then after that, I
was just like just keep making beats.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Well do you essentially learn how to make me watching
YouTube video?

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Basically that's the whole generation just everything's on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
I literally was just watching Ryan Leslie. I'm like, yo,
he's tough, bro, Like he's so tough and he made
everything from scratch. So I was just like yo, I
was super inspired, and I would just hear the song
and I just you know, just start playing in my
ear and then just start making the whole beat. And
after that it was just that was time for me
to make some beats.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Yeah, that's what life after Tarik gonna be.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Oh, music careerline, it's something I do for fun, Like obviously,
like I would love to make a career out of it,
but I'd rather just do it for fun for now,
because like once you kind of really start making careers
out of certain things, it kind of stops feeling like fun,
you know what I'm saying, Especially like with music, like
I'll be getting into those spaces where it stops feeling

(12:47):
like fun, where I have to like, oh, I got
to get these beats out to this person, and that's
when I'm just like get over. I'd rather just like
make it for you know what I'm saying. Like me
and my friend Joey, like we got hell of songs,
like Mass actually dropped the tape last year, like around
my birthday, and I executively produced the whole thing. I
produced every song on it. I did all like the

(13:07):
track lists and everything. So like that stuff was fun,
you know what I'm saying, because that's just my homie.
So we was just chilling, like just making stuff and
it just turned into being a project. Yeah, I just
just be having fun with it.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
I listen to that. Do you keep Tarik out the studio?

Speaker 6 (13:21):
Hell?

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Sometimes every and then you're going to start rapping about.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Keys And I ain't a lot of like when I'd
be bored, like I'll be I'll probably make like five
six beats in the session. And we got like a
whole like an hour thirty left and we were just
getting a booth and just start rapping and all some
fun on some fun stuff. But nah, I leave Tik
in Steiner's studios.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
How much influenced to Staten Island have on you a lot?

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Like I grew up. I grew up in Standin Island
like my whole entire life. Like I was born in Louisville, Kentucky,
but my parents moved back to New York when I
was like a month or like two months. I grew
up in Stand Island, like.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
Because it's a place where you got a lot of
musical influences, right, but.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
It's also a place that I feel like New York
doesn't accept on.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
The borrow, you know what, it's like doing us dirty
every time I tell somebody I'm from Standing, like like yo,
ro chill bro. But that it's a big part of
me because, like you said, not a lot of people,
you know, really accept this. So I feel like that's
another reason I jack stand now so much because like
so many like were just so slept on and I
was like, yo, we here, like we've done legendary stuff

(14:24):
like look at Measice Man, look at me, you know
what I'm saying, Like look at wolf Face Joey. He's
coming up, but he's about to be a legendary kid
as well. So it's just like there's a lot of
things that come from stant Island that people don't really
give the credits.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Pete Davison, Pete.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Davison facts, I was Pete Davison word. There's a lot
of It's a lot more than I'm forgetting too. But
it's like I can't think faster.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
You were a young sniper, like Pete is with the ladies.
Laugh but you know you're knocking him. Damn, that's why
you can't get up in the morning.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
I'll be chilling, man, be chilling.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Relax, you don't be chilling. How many? How many love
interests they they Mike got.

Speaker 7 (15:04):
Oh my god, just you're talking about just on the show.
In real life, he's noting them this down show like
the show.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
He got like three Michael.

Speaker 6 (15:14):
Yeah, but yeah, what's what's up? Who you're dating?

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Yeah, I'm single. I'm chilling, Okay, yeah, dating, Yeah, saying
that wasn't even a question. You know, I was. I
was in a relationship for a long time, so it's
like okay, and I feel like I had I had,
Like me and her we have too much life to live,
like we got a lot to learn about ourselves, just
life period. I feel like relationship for me is.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Just like.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
We got too much to live.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
I won't even say that's crazy.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
That's my homies. We're still cool and stuff.

Speaker 7 (15:49):
Like twenty three got a lot of life to live.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Not the one who flower?

Speaker 3 (15:57):
What you say, that's one who last name is a flower?

Speaker 1 (16:06):
This man alone got a bunch of followers, hurt.

Speaker 7 (16:10):
Michael, Yeah, but I'm trying to get him off of it.

Speaker 6 (16:15):
You had the wildest love try and go in the show.

Speaker 7 (16:17):
You had Effie, Diana, Diane Lauren.

Speaker 6 (16:22):
Yeah, that was crazy.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
I ain't gonna lie. It's a tough situation for me
because who is he really going to choose? Like, yeah,
who's he going to choose? Like, look, you got Diana,
she in the same life. Yeah, you kind of understands
him a little bit. Yeah, that's.

Speaker 7 (16:38):
Right, And I feel like that's the least. That's the
least because he don't want to ship waste, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
She then he got Fie. She know him more than
you know Die John, Like that's the dot. But then
she a little a.

Speaker 7 (16:52):
Little if she definitely po sisty like a motherfucker come on, Yeah, yeah, bad,
she's mad yea.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Yeah. Then Lauren, it's kind of like his little balance,
you know what I'm saying. It's like she kind of
makes him feel like he's like a human in a way.
But also he can't really bring her into the world
because she's not ready for that. Yeah, So he's just
in a tough predicament herself. I feel like you got
to be by himself.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
When you saw the final script that you like it.
I hated you be like, yeah, it's corny like this.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Nah, I loved it.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
I loved it.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
I ain't gonna lit the writers do. They do their
job like they do their job well. So like even
when I like, even when I have like something that
I don't really agree with in the script, like I
could tell them or now, and you know, they'll work
with me, you know what I'm saying. Like they they're
always open to you know, just you know, doing little
tweaks here and there. So like even if it's something
I'm not really happy with it, like they'd just be like,
oh yeah, let's talk about it. How do you think
it should go? That's so yeah, Like they give us

(17:51):
a lot of freedom and stuff. So everything is really
gucci when it comes to the scripts because they do
they do their job.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
So you think we the fans gonna be happy with
oh yeah, how things tied up?

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Yeah for sure.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
But if it's going and they got to make us happy, and.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
I think it's gonna. I think it's gonna. I think
it's gonna make you happy. Also because like I said,
we didn't film with you know, this is the last
season and I feel like if we did film with like, yo,
this is the last season to be able to tell, Yeah,
y'all be able to tell like some people would be
going one hundred and ten percent and some people be
going like fifteen twenty percent. You know what I'm saying,
Like it'd be a mix. So like we just went
in there, like, Yo, season three was cool. Let's make

(18:26):
season for better than Season three. That's just what it was.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I wanted to ask you started acting so young? What
made you focus on that? With everything going on? You
could have been playing basketball, basketball, you know, soccer, you
could have been done doing anything.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
It was crazy on a different coche, wild out in Hollywood.
My mom was not jacking that. I was gonna say,
how did you stay focused?

Speaker 2 (18:45):
What made you want to do it as a kid,
because you know, at your age when you started, I mean,
most of these kids just wanted to play basketball.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
But I just wanted to play basketball. Ain't gonna lie.
I literally just wanted to. When I had to stop
playing basketball because I had to focus on acting, well
I was mad as hell, but like it all makes sense.
I wasn't going to so I'm a folkus on actor.
You know what? I'm saying, but I don't know, like
I feel like once even just like my first movie,
it kind of just made me want to act because
it was just such a crazy experience. Like I was

(19:12):
literally nine going on ten. I lived in Italy for
a year and a half and I also spent a
month in Nairobi, Kenya filming that same movie. So I
was just like, yo, I get to travel, I get
to meet how different people, learn two different languages, you
know what I'm saying, Like live in a whole different
country for a year and a half, Like being an actor,
Like this is cool, So let's just see where it
takes me. And I just, you know, just kept on
going with it. And obviously, like I have my like

(19:35):
you know, like do I really want to do this
or do I ruin and just be a regular kid.
But at the end of the day, it's like I
have a blessing. I might as well just take advantage
of it, just keep going and keep doing.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
And what about your parents' sacrifice, because they had to
sacrifice their life. They oh, yeah, for sure, to make
sure that you're good.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Yeah, my mom, she she on the daycare at the time,
so like, you know, she had to be there every
single day, and at the time we moved to Italy,
she had to shut it down, like she closed it
for a year and a half. And that's a big sacrifice,
Like that's her better motivate there. That that was her bed,
you know what I'm saying. That was the way she
was making money and for her to make that sacrifice,
like I'm gonna stop my own business, and obviously she

(20:11):
had other businesses on top of that, so she stopped everything,
like and she was like, I'm gonna just move to
Italy with my son, make sure it's good and he's
gonna do this. And that's what it was, mommy, because now.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Now you know what we had this conversation before, and
I think it was with with with Brittany's the reason
I say that is a lot of people look at
parents and they say their parents are too controlling. But
I always say, if the parents sacrifice everything that they
have to push you forward. Right, Like you said, your mom,
you know, got rid of her daycare center, couldn't work,
so she had to take care of you. So her
job was you listened to your brother, so her job

(20:43):
was you. How do you feel about what a lot
of these these I would say, actors when their child
actors get older, and then they have problem with their
parents because really they gave up their life for you,
and now they can't survive because everything that they would
have done is pretty much in your investment.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Obviously, Like I know, like in the back of my mind,
she put down everything for me, so she don't never
got to worry about like, oh, I did this and
that for you, so now I got nothing. Like She's
good forever. Like I make sure that no matter what,
like if I get paid, she get paid that you
know what I'm saying, I mean, gotta get paid. She
sigrifices everything.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
You strike me as a sponge like you like you
you very you pick up on things, you educate yourself, like.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Whatever environment you and you learn, you learn from that.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
I try to. I try to, especially being that like
like I was on power, so I was on set
them every day with you know, my heart with fifty cent,
So like being around them, like you kind of gotta
just you know, absorb like all the all the knowledge
that they you know, that they're giving out on set,
even like when they're not even speaking to me, I'll
just be listening to the conversation, they having themselves and

(21:45):
I just listen to stuff like that, and yeah, I
just feel like being on that set kind of turned
me into, like like you said, like that sponge, like
that's just always open to kind of listening to different
people and different things.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Is They're a real beef in the power universe. Y'all
Just be, y'all, just be.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
It's all love. It's all love. Like, yeah, it's all love.
Love you. It seems like y'all and being always not
being Oh those guys, no, no, no, those guys. That's
all up. Shout out my boy Da Vinci. Yeah, I
love yeah, shout out on what's what's the name the
one that played his pops on the show The Little Meat.
Yeah yeah, Demetrius.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
This is out the book of fifty real issue. Give
I see what's.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Going on my young that my youngest up.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
People engaged, people interrested.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
But what's what's his name? Yeah, shout that's my Yeah.
You always be going at it on on on the
internet for y'all. That's my homie.

Speaker 7 (22:43):
There's a way to keep people engaged though, because you know,
it's two good shows.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Obviously, that's one good show being left as Okay.

Speaker 7 (22:51):
I am so good sugar coat, my god, thank you.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Yeahalking about it.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
The way they aesthetic is beautiful. Everything beautiful. They paint
the picture that it's hard. I like the way it looks. Lord,
I'll just be going to sleep when I be watching.
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
I don't know I fit you feel about this when
you say things like this.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Hey man, listen, I don't know how he feels. I
ain't never really spoke to him about like the show itself.
I just be telling him like mm hmm, listen, man, yeah,
we that that it is.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
You have another favorite other than Power Book too, I.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Ain't gonna lie. I like Canaan. I like raising Kanaan
a lot. It's Matt interesting and Patina Miller. She's so tough,
he's legendary, so I love watching her.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
You be hating on him. He just loved it. He
was like, oh no, we be just you.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Know, it's friendly with them too, Like it's a little
lesson than what it is with BMF because BMF we
just always be going at it. But me and k
Me and Kanan and we went at it too. We
went at it like season two of our show and
then after a while it's just kind of died down.
But those the homies, though, my boy, Malcolm go to
the Permie. I'm not about to pull up to the

(24:07):
PREMI and say that ship speaking.

Speaker 6 (24:14):
I'm glad you didn't speak up for Tana brother. She's amazing.
I love her and also love Merging Blige.

Speaker 7 (24:19):
Do you ever find yourself like trying to pick who's
more badass?

Speaker 6 (24:24):
Mo Nates are hotter or Raquel's Thomas?

Speaker 3 (24:26):
Oh, man, you know it's crazy.

Speaker 6 (24:29):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
Oh no, that's a tough one because look, they both
gangs to them. Ain't you can't cut brunt of them?
I don't know, man, Like Raquel raised Canaan though, Like
she raised Canaan, like raising knees, Like look at Canaan
and power. Yeah, like she raised that. I don't know.

(24:52):
But then again, well they raised Caine.

Speaker 6 (24:56):
Yeah, he stole your car. That's the one that took
your car.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
Lie.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
I'm gonna have to wait till she this season. I'm
gonna watch this season and that's gonna be my that's
gonna help me decide who think that?

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Yeah, I think get killed.

Speaker 6 (25:09):
Mmm.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
I've seen Brayden come through last season at the end
of last season.

Speaker 6 (25:15):
That character development crazy. I love.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Yeah, you know what.

Speaker 7 (25:19):
I also love that y'all actually closed my real life too.

Speaker 6 (25:22):
How did that happen? Because I got a podcast and everything.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Yeah, I don't even know, like we just you know,
it's mad funny, like our first day on set, like
we didn't speak to each other at all, like me
and say a word, Like the only word we said
was what's up? And then like whatever it was on
the pages, Like because me, I'm mad, like introverted in
a way, like especially when it comes to like meeting
other actors like around my age, like may be kind
of weird sometimes weird. I be kind of like because

(25:47):
I'm be bugging sometimes like I don't want to say nothing,
like I don't say nothing too out of pocket, but
certain things might be out of pocket for these years
my age, you know what I'm saying. So like I
was just yo, what's up, let's get the work done. Whatever,
and that that was the only scene we had for
that season. He came back the next season. Yeah, and
then that's kind of when we started becoming cool. He
said something about like girls or like a car or something.

(26:08):
I was like, oh, he might be a normal, like
a normal person, Like he might not just be going
to be weirdos you know what I'm saying, I might
be able to relate on some things. He said something
about some cars. I was like, all right, he normal.
And then after a while, you know, we just started
chopping it up off off of set and everything, and
we came out of close, came out of Closed. That's
my dogs right there.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
With him and Tommy Joseph really at Beef.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
Oh yeah, that was a crazy situation.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
That was a real issue.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
Yeah, because I'm just there, like damn, like I'm in
the middle of it. I'm like, it's my brother, it's
my uncle. But it was really I feel like it
was just like a like a misunderstanding. I guess, like
I don't really know exactly like what was like the
core like reasoning between everything behind everything. But what I
saw was, you know, the same that whatever happened on stage,

(26:56):
and I guess they you know, they spoke about that after,
you know, I talk cool weekend and you know, they
hashed it out after a while. But in the midst
of it, I'm like, damn, bro, what I'm supposed to do?
Like I'm just in the middle of every day.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
Mind your business on white crime, your business. Figure. That's
what I did.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
I minded my business. I was like, y'all handle y'all
what y'all got to handle? I'm here. You need something
from me? Let me know, Gee, you need something for me?
Let me know. I was trying me news because I
was there. You was what did you see?

Speaker 4 (27:24):
Yeah he's a taking weekend.

Speaker 7 (27:26):
Yeah yeah andv I just can't come this year because
I'm pregnant.

Speaker 6 (27:29):
I'm just ask Yeah. I was there, yo, yeah, I
was there.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
It was crazy. That was a crazy situe. I'm like, no, yeah,
this is real right now, like this is happening.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
Yeah, now are we going to get any Like I
don't want to say unexpected because everybody think ghosts coming back.
That's true, it's ghost coming back. And if he did,
would you think that was corny?

Speaker 6 (27:51):
Better not be coming back twenty years later?

Speaker 3 (27:53):
Listen? Would you think we say ghosts never die?

Speaker 6 (27:57):
Yeah? So like where that would you go for ten years?

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Like?

Speaker 7 (28:03):
For it ain't like I would say it's like seven
seven years? Well, no, like five years ago.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
I like three, I like two three college because in
the all, well in the show, like two years, a
year and a half to oh.

Speaker 7 (28:19):
Okay, oh ship, Well all right, I'm thinking about how
many years ago he died in real life to us,
Oh yeah that was Is there a.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
Way to do it and not be corny?

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Mm hmmm. I don't know. It's a I don't know
to do it, and it's like not like super unrealistic. Yeah,
being the way he got hit up, you know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
It's like, but that's the thing.

Speaker 7 (28:46):
We see him die. We didn't see him die. I
didn't even know you really killed him. So you just
said it because I was like, it was so many
people walking up and then like you, you was like, yeah,
it was many people. So I'm like, damn, I don't know.
Then he saw Kana's ghosts right before, right, so it
was like I don't know, but I mean it's a way.

Speaker 6 (29:08):
I would love to see that.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
But crazy. Yeah they got up. You know, they got
chicks up.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Yeah, your little sister, yeah, not Rainer, the other one
that's like.

Speaker 5 (29:25):
You have with your grandmother, grow up on.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
The show with Grandma.

Speaker 7 (29:31):
Then they don't really even show Grandma, man, because.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
Trying to keep them out of trouble, try to keep
them from outside, he's just making sure they're in the crib.
They got their groceries and got their food. Yeah, and
that's just what he's trying to need to see them
as much. Yeah, yeah, I do miss seeing them.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
Yeah, I ain't like how you say that. I know
this is may long, but charity and cry when your
twin died.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
Yeah, I was watching that episode not to one.

Speaker 7 (29:56):
Yeah did you not cry because that age, like because
you was mad young, but like at that age you couldn't.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Or it was just at that age I was crying
like a month like before that.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
What they said about me online.

Speaker 6 (30:12):
I can't give a fun but your this position was.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Just like because like in my head, it's like I could,
I could bring a horse to the water, but I
can't make you drinking. I told you to stay out
this business. I told you don't go to Ray Ray
with this stuff. I told you. Damn, damn, That's what
I was thinking about, mind and I was watching I
was literally watching that episode like last week. I'm like
damn and like yeah, but yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (30:41):
We'll tell them where they can find your podcast because
a lot of people be liking you and Gianni's uh
like how y'all like y'all can ride me like y'all
real brothers outside of that ship, and y'all vibe is dope.

Speaker 6 (30:52):
So where can we find this podcast.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
And who has it? It's on like YouTube, Spotify, like
if you want to listen, but if you want to
watch it on YouTube. Right now, we in like a
hiatus because we're kind of like pivoting rather like trying
to get out of just you know, covering like the
Universal Power kind of going into like artists.

Speaker 6 (31:07):
And yeah, definitely going to other things.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Athletes and stuff like that. So we kind of of
that pivoting moment right now. So we're in a little hiatus.

Speaker 6 (31:14):
But one season.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Is this our second year? I think?

Speaker 6 (31:18):
Okay, second for the podcast.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
Yeah, my last question, you scared it all because this
show has been such a big part of your life
the last ten years that you you have some healthy
anxiety about what's next.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
I feel like, like I said, like when my first answer,
I was like, you know, it's all God's time. You know,
God time is the best time. And we all got
to you know, especially the young kids, like the young
actors on the on the show. We all got an
amazing platform out of it. So I feel like moving on,
we're all going to have, you know, doors that are
open for us looking forward, And I honestly kind of
want want that, like you know that insecurity, you know,

(31:55):
like obviously being secure, like, yeah, I got a job,
like I'm looking forward to going to said every day
is a good feeling, but like you also want to
have that, like you know what I'm saying, Like I
gotta you know, I gotta, I gotta grind still, you
gotta work audition, I gotta you know what I'm saying,
I gotta read myself, you know what I'm saying. So
I feel like now is the time, you know, now's
the time. I had a good ten years of really

(32:16):
having a consistent job, which is really a blessing, you
know what I'm saying. Not a lot of people can
really say that, especially at this age. So now I'm ready.
I'm ready for for the next chapter. I'm ready to
keep it rocking and rolling.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Season four Power Book to June seventh. Yes, Michael Junior.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
We appreciate his brother.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Appreciate you for having me watch it a lot. So
this is cool, this is cool.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
And he made it on time.

Speaker 6 (32:38):
He made it on time.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
That's what I was gonna make it.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Friday.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
I have them onions in my socks. I work, I'm
about to I'm about to check. I can't make it,
but yeah, that's what's.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
It's the breakfast Club in the morning.
