Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wait that ass up in the morning Breakfast Club. Morning,
Everybody's DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlemagne the guy. We are
to Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building,
the good brother Kevin Gates. Welcome brother. Thank you for
having me. Man. You look good, Man than you like.
You're looking shape, healthy, You got the God's going around you. Man,
(00:21):
you look good. Also, thank you, brother. Let me see
you in the long time. Man, let's not time. Keen
up here this ship five year everything bit. Brother, How
are you feeling? How are you You want me to
be honest? Absolutely, It's been an amazing journey. You've been difficult,
but I feel amazing. Wow. What made you want to
get into your fitness journey? Man? It go with the
(00:42):
spiritual mind, body soul connection. And then I come from
a place of doing a lot of drugs and not
being self accountable and not holding myself accountable for things
and pass traumatic experiences that I went through. I was
really operating out of fear not to just go down that.
But the first time I ever spoke about this was
(01:02):
in on with the Mike Tyson interview. I was talking
about like I'm a great father, I'm not a big stepper.
Like the violence that I exhibited was because I was
molested when I was young. So that's what made me
just operate out of fear. I had that fear being vulnerable.
You know. I took out all these different styles of
martial lords, you know, weapon reality, these things, but I
(01:25):
was operating out of a place of feel because even
though I'm I'm tough, you still got that feel being vulnerable.
And it's just it's something that a lot of men
don't speak on. But I had read this book by
I think his name, mister Jason Wilson. Yeah, hell yeah, yeah,
that's my homie I loved and I was and he
was like me and I'm supposed to be. Nurtural was
also we great protect as great fathers, but nurtural was
(01:48):
also and it was like, yeah, it's like society wants
you to just be tough and don't never you know,
but I was like I cried too three times a
day sometime working out, doing yoga and things that because
you have to release or you an implode. And then
I'm real conscious of like my words, like what I
say to people, I make sure even if I'm hurting
(02:10):
your feelings, I make sure I say it out of
a place I love, because I just I've been hurt,
so now I operated out of place. I don't like
to see people hurt, you know, because there's always a
bad story. That's like when I watched the movie A Joker,
I was like this, said, yeah, because you see how
somebody ends up. We project, we project pain on the people,
(02:30):
we project our own pain on the other people. I
was gonna ask, what's that book got you to open up?
What did you see? You want me to be honest,
absolutely honest. I don't think you know any other way
to be. I mean, I don't want to trigger. I
don't want to trigger nobody. Ll know. Um, when I
(02:51):
was seventeen, I believe I had shot myself in the head.
I tried to commit suicide, had the bullet in my head.
And then twenty twenty, I believe I was gonna push
my shit out again. Yeah, so you said that on
big fact. I got off Instagram. I did all of that.
I got disconnected my Instagram, got off social media, and
I was by myself and just through the course of events, like,
(03:13):
I don't want to talk about it to trigger nobody,
but absolutely I was gonna kill myself. I wasn't happy,
and I don't do all that. Hey, I'm about to
throw a big parade about it. I'm gonna just do
it in silence because all that talking, this horse plan,
if you're gonna do it, hey, let's get it done.
It's all about to boat myself to the flow. What
got you out of it? What made you stop? Once
(03:33):
I got off Instagram, I was making a lot of
comparisons because I put in so much work to be
an amazing orders but you never celebrated properly, you know,
especially when you're a man and I'm not no alpha
mea advocate or No, I ain't with all that dumbas ship.
I believe it takes balance, you know, like I ain't
with that woman gonna do what I This ain't no
(03:56):
toxic masculinity feminine. You're talking about the hold of divine,
feminine and sacred masculinity. That's God's how you know about
that about man? So anyway, you're talking to a person
that I always make sure I try to destroy my
ego before I walk in any room. Well, I never
(04:16):
really had an ego, but my ego was fear protection,
like protecting myself and protecting the things around me, operating
out of field. So back to that store. So just
during the course of events me getting off Instagram, stopped
making comparisons because comparisons is to kill all joy. People
show the Highlight Room. DJ n't be pulling up in Ferrari's,
(04:36):
but his home life might be straight bullshit, but he
making it look good. And it's like, you compare your
real life and all the problems you got to somebody
that's highlight real. And that ship caused depression. So I
got out social media for like a year and al
and I just started living. And I saw that, man,
the streets loved me. Everywhere I go people love me.
(04:56):
People love me for real, like New York or Hard City.
To be your orders and get love in everywhere I go. Here,
these people loved me in the streets. These people loved
me everywhere I go. Though. Everywhere I go, everybody loved me.
And I had to realize, hold on, man, I got
to reaffirm some things with myself. I had to get
out my own way. Man, I want you. I'm gonna
recommend this book. Hey, I got a question if I
(05:20):
was to bring the copy of your book up here
with you. Sign this is you need to read. Ego
is the enemy. I carry it with me, trust me,
I know, but I love how I love to talk
about it though, And the reason you know it might
be triggering the something or for someone helps. So like
I did, I was say with you, I was away
(05:40):
from shooting myself too, and it's because I didn't think
I was worthy. That's right, feel as good as what
we could do for somebody. But what help was when
I spoke about it, and so many other people were
in that same position, and they got me and walk
up to me every day and cry every day. If
I'm in the gym, man, thank you for being so transparent, Like,
(06:02):
don't nobody to talk about this. I'm talking about bad
to build a super big and I could tell that
you're doing this out of frustration or whatever you're doing
that out of. So I changed the way that I
even approached the gym. Now when I go, I go
to make myself feel good. I go to put positive
energy in my badd I did yoga before I came
up here. I gotta open myself up and feel positive,
(06:23):
get the blood flowing, and put positive energy into my battle.
Before I move because anybody, I'm just big on that.
I don't even entertain miss no negativity because there's still consumption. Absolutely,
So what's the process now? Before you write? When you
do your music, I go jogging for like twenty minutes
because I'm addicted to that. It's like once they endorphands release,
(06:44):
it's like I'm high. Like I like to feel good,
Like I like to feel good. I want to feeling.
I craved that feeling and feeling good, Like, how do
I feel like? If I don't feel good, I'm not
doing it. Like just before I came in here, I say,
hold on, I gotta go take a shot. That's gonna
make me feel better. That's real. I only eat one
meal a day, so after, you know, I drink my
(07:07):
hot tea in the morning or high water with lambs.
Everything come out. Now, I'm ready. I'm ready for work.
You know. I wanted to ask you, man, because you
know a lot of I go to therapy once a week.
I'm doing it for like six years. But therapy is
not everybody's form of healing. So what else do you
do to like what you do on your healing journey?
I had to get by myself okay. And one one
of the biggest things I do. I keep self inventory.
(07:29):
I write down the things that I'm feeling, whatever it is,
and I go back and answer them questions. I talk
to myself. I used to think I was weird for
doing it. Than I read that all genius has talk
to themselves. I'm in tune with myself. I can be alone.
Is it difficult? It is? A lot of people can't
be alone with themselves. They got to watch TV or
play music to keep themselves distracted. Because there's a lot
(07:52):
of things that we suppress. That's like when they got
this yoga post called a pigeon post. I never knew
nothing about no emotional detox and what you know, walk
around talking about man the emotional detox. We got taught
that I was doing a pigeon pole just to open
my hips up more like, Okay, this gonna give you
more strength in a gym, but I'm looking at it
for the strength aspect. And it was so healing because
(08:13):
I started crying right there uncontrollably. She put her hands
on my back. She say, a lot of what you're
feeling right now is not your own psychic debris. You're
having an emotional detox right now. She just breathing to
the poles. Breathe and she said a lot of the
anger and frustration and emotions are hall but in the
gut and then the hips. I never knew this, so
(08:36):
I emotionally detox before I came up here because I
don't want to project. Even with my son, he told
me some one day, and I may, what is you alone?
I'm I'm handling him bad. This miss checked, this unchecked aggression.
Like if I'm not in tune with myself, if I'm
not happy, I can't make my children happy. I can't
be the man I'm supposed to be for my family.
(08:59):
If I got I got in a turmoil going on.
That's really what got you in new yoga. I got
into it in prison, and on my last bid it
was a blessing. I had got into it. But the
first when I was presented with the opportunity to do yoga,
I'm like, man, I'm not about to do that. Puss says, shit,
you going in been over. I ain't got time to
(09:20):
be doing that. You know, I was just you know,
you judge it because you don't understand it. Correct. My
first class maybe two minutes into it, I had to
run to the bathroom and just shit everything out my batter.
He say, you're releasing everything that's not that's no longer
serving yo, how yourself? So I just stought experimenting with
yoga and jail, and I noticed, I'm like, this curt
(09:41):
my appetite. This makes me don't want to eat. You
focusing on your breath, You're focusing on yourself. This person
may be able to stretch way better than you, but
guess what, everybody is on their own individual journey. So
it kind of teach you to not compel. And it
also teach you too. Even those situations may get rough tense,
you just breathe through it and work through it. And
(10:03):
the reward being in the journey. I ain't trying to
get to no destination. I'm I'm loving the journey right now.
It's a good time to meditate too. And then if
you ever have like back pains and things like that, though,
it's like very intense stretching, so it really helps, like
your whole body just feel I'm kind of nice with yoga. Yeah,
I saw your in feature. I'm kind of nice. I
(10:25):
did that here in New York and I never saw
myself doing no shit like that gangster for that. You
know what I'm saying, I never saw myself doing It's like,
I'm amazed that just watching my journey. But that's why
these conversations are so powerful coming from you, because I
saw you on Big Facts podcast and I was like, man,
Kevin is talking that talk. He talking that talk that
brothers need to hear to heal yourself. And you also
(10:49):
have a shamman. I saw you say that too, that
you yeah, my tattoo orders. Yeah, he liked my showman.
I call him my showman because he's a spiritual advisor.
He's a guy. He's shamanistic in nature because he's not
gonna putting it on me that the energy not aligning
with And sometime he'll be like, I can't do it.
(11:09):
Then other times we just we pray this. So we
burned sage and he do my tattoos. Everything I've ever
been through all my life, it's tattooed on me. It's
a journey. It's a lot of people that done me dirty.
I got their faces on me. But guess what, I
still love you because you was a great lesson anything
that happened in my life, good or bad, has been
a great teacher to me. So it's about changing the perspective.
(11:32):
Go back to that, revisit the situation that hurt you.
What did you learn from it and attach a positive
emotion to it? And I noticed it sound it's sound
easier than done. But you got to go back and
relive this shit. And you you know what I'm saying.
But once you go back and you relive it, you
realize that this was only gladiator school to train me
(11:53):
for the next level. And what you said is keto,
you said, he like, there's no destination to healing. It's
a constant journey at all. It's a journey. Like I'm
I'm in love with the journey like all my friends.
At first they were like, there he go with this
old health there and ship, but they started to get
into your friends and your family and your queen, like
(12:13):
because your journey is when they first started. When they
first started, it was a lot of resistance because it's
alien of people. I'm exhibited an alien behavior. It's unknown,
it's foreign and I didn't know what I was doing.
But I had to follow my heart because I never
wanted to sit there watch TV and say, you know what,
what if I never would have tried, that would be
(12:33):
my biggest regret. And I had everything taken from me
In two thousand and sixteen, I was innocent over a lot,
nominated for a Grammars, all of that. But it was
beautiful because this time I'm even helping more people. But
I harbored a lot of resentment towards that. I'm like, man,
why I keep getting looked over? I do nothing but
great ship? But then when somebody else emulate what I do,
(12:56):
the world slapped them on the ass and applaud like why.
I don't know I had have noticed me because it
wasn't my time yet. I wasn't ready to receive these blessings,
these blessings, wasn't then that they was just delayed. So
now I'm receiving my blessings. Do you think that comes
from not having a sense of worthiness for yourself? So
if you don't have a sense of worthiness or love
for yourself, it's hard to recognize it from other. Big bro,
(13:19):
I'm gonna be honest with you. I crushed so many
relationships out of ego, and I closed so many doors
just operating out of my ego. So where it was
people that saw something greater than me and reached for me.
And I got in my own way. I could say
that like I'm gonna be honest, like people be like,
so why you ain't never work with no other orders.
(13:39):
I just started reaching out. But in the beginning it
was pride and fear or rejection. What if you say
no and that's all you can do and say no, hey,
let's work, And then guess what, Kevin, you an artist,
you be busy, hey high let me when you free?
And then you got to also realize everybody and I
made the co create. Sometimes you could be so powerful
(14:00):
and your truth that just a person standing on side
of you exposed them for who they really is. They
can't stand on side of you because you would expose them.
You the truth. I'm my authentic self every day. However
I feel I'm gonna say it no filter. It's just
me now. He said something earlier, right, what I said
something that you know, when you say something, you say
it from the heart. I mean, with all due respect
(14:22):
out of Look if it could be hurting to somebody,
you don't mean to hurt somebody. My sister, don't kill me.
If you're watching but she it was a situation went
on with her and she flashed out. We have an argument.
She like, you just don't know your words hurt people.
I wish i'd have never I wish i'd have just
let him go ahead and do that to me. I
(14:45):
was like, then I find out she had took a
bunch of pills and just wanted to really end her
life based on the things that I was saying. That
was hurtful, but I'm hurt she being hurt, so like,
were breaking generation of curses right now? Please don't care mine.
You're trying to put nobody in your business. But I
had ended up taking care of something for her. You know,
(15:06):
it's nothing to be spoke about. It just was what
it was. But just in her saying that, I would
think you would be grateful that I stopped it, But
she was like, I should have just not even called you.
And this years later after that, because your words hurt people.
And I'm like, damn, so now make sure even if
(15:28):
I hurt your feelings, I'm gonna do it with pure intentions.
I love you, but I love me more. I gotta
protect my energy. That's not a crime. Now, I wanted
to ask you. We had a big discussion about this
when you said it on the radio. Right, what I
said when you were talking about miss being talk about
another man's wife. Yeah, what I said, umn't I forgot
(15:49):
something that I forgot? You? Could you? Could you? Could
you say? Yeah, the audio, I don't know exactly mess
I don't want to quote you. What about it? I
remember that, you know I forgot. I don't remember the details.
But whatever whatever it was, could you make me? Could
you make me remember? I don't remember. I wouldn't want
to quote you. I don't want to miss quote. Don't
(16:10):
want to miss quote. But they do, the media do
that though. But that's one of the most beautiful women
in the world. I can't be a fan, Yes you can.
I can't be a fan, absolutely can. I'm sitting in
a trap out around the monster's just looking at TV man.
I swear to guard when I said that, everybody feel
like that. They just scared to say it. I ain't
scared to say it. Respect for another man. I said respectfully.
(16:35):
I don't mean respectfully. I said I respect Oh, I
think it was. I don't even want to have this conversation.
But I was just asking, of course, if somebody said
that about your lady, your queen. That'll that'll feel good
you posted fans had about what I got, Nick, I'm
living your dreams every night. Yeah, I'm punching Dick and
(16:57):
her living your dreams. What I don't want nothing, don't
nobody else, won't I get. That's like if Angela, you
or my lady, I'm not trying. I'm only being illustrative,
if that's a word. If you're my lady now and
I know all y'all just y'all want my woman, I'm
about to walk up and get you a big hug
game and grip that ass in front of them. Yeah.
(17:18):
I don't kill right, but but somebody that's not on
your same plane field saying I would fuck the shit
out of you and whatever whatever, whatever it may be,
stick my tullaul in your ass and squirrel it around
like a helicopter. I do all that to my wife's helm.
So you wouldn't feel away if another man said that
about your wife. Wouldn't give a fuck. I don't care
about what nobody to think about me or what nobody
(17:40):
to say. I live life every day, and you still
would have the same respect for that individual. I wouldn't
give a damn. I'm living your dreams. Nigga, you salute me.
I believe that Kevin Gates than the average You salute me.
You want to do all this I got. I'm pussial
(18:00):
and you would still respect that individual the same way. Yeah,
me and speak to the same way. We can still
do a song with each other. We're still good. I mean,
if you speak to me, I'll speak to you, you
know me and greet me, and I don't know what
you got going on, or they see y'all invited me here.
I'm not gonna go know where, I'm not invited. So
if somebody invite me somewhere, and yeah, I'm you know,
I'm a gangster, a gentleman. How you doing, beloved? You
know I'm gonna greet you humble and see me and
(18:22):
greet men. You know you said some other shit too
that on a song shoot my shot. Because I hadn't
bring it. They buttered me up with all of the positivity.
You know, most guys would be intimidated by a situation
like this, right, what kind of situation? Shoot my shot?
(18:45):
You said that I don't remember, could you? Yes? I
have no recollection because I'm gonna mention this just because
we did on lip Service. We had a J. Johnson
on and she was talking about how she was with
two guys and it turned into this whole thing where
people were like condemning her for it and she had
to actually come back on to defend herself about a
situation that she had. But you were like, leg you know,
(19:07):
I don't mind. I would actually like to fuck a
girl and have another guy, like, you know, like a
threesome and like my homie, you know, just be able
to do that, and I won't look at her. No,
you can't do that with no anybody. You gotta have
somebody that's gonna respect that woman like you respect that
woman right, like even even the way that we even
the way that we issued dick to her. Like I like,
(19:28):
it's a lot of women that Dad loved it, but
they have a feel being judged. They ware you say,
you say punch dick and issued dick. I'm using both
of them because I feel like that's a taboo thing.
And people look at they'll say like, oh, she got
a train ran on her, or that happens. Okay, when
(19:51):
you go see you gotta listen. You listening to that.
People that don't even know who they are, they're not
even comfortable what they say. Well, don't even know who
you are. I don't even know what you like. How
can I let somebody that don't know what they like
telling me what's wrong and what's right for me? Hey, Hey,
what you eat don't make me shitting. What I eat
don't make you shit. But if a woman, I talk
to women that's I'm talking about up in rank, having
(20:14):
businesses and everything, and they just I just kevin, I
just I just love the way you just slept me out.
Just yes, they loved that. I just feel free when
I'm with you. No judgment, yeah, baby, no judgment. People
go through shit. How you think I got this good?
Because practice don't make you perfect. Practice only makes you better.
(20:36):
I'll tell everybody that. So, like I say, if a
woman had been with a lot of people, you know
what you got field credentials. I'm not. I'm not. That's
like Charlemagne Dick. Charlemagne Dick two inches longer than matter,
were both still hitting that bone. I mean your stomach.
If a woman saying I'm not a enough stomach, she
hate on me. Y'all with that boy. I want to
(21:02):
know what do you what do you say no to
in the broom because it feels like no host bird.
What are some things that you're like, I ain't doing
that that somebody's asked you to do. Don't know about
to ask me to do nothing because I'm such a pleaser,
Like I get off phone, that's like this this car
(21:22):
right here? Do we separate? Okay? You got this car
right here. You know somebody else can probably wash this car.
But this my dream call. So I'm gonna detail list
call intricately. I'm gonna be I'm gonna put my everything
into it. And a woman Badding know when you aiming
the police? Huh, A woman Badding knew if you're doing
(21:44):
this selfishly. A woman Badding know if you're doing this
with gratitude. And guess what, I'm thankful for you right
now because this is a whole blessing. I praying everything
before I have six. This is spiritual. My dick wouldn't
get hard if it wasn't without the permission of the creator.
So I'm gonna pray before I do this. I'm gonna
make it sacred because guess who know about it? Businesses
(22:05):
between those who make it. That's right. You know you
got the song thinking with my dick with Juicy J.
How does a man not think with it? Kevin's like, damn,
this is all that's so positive? Man, Let me find
out y'all been plotting only Kevin? How does a man
not think with it? You want me to be honest. Yeah,
(22:26):
that glow that you say you see in that order,
that that presence that you feel when I walk in
the room. A lot of people are gonna talk against this,
but this comes from seeming retention and discipline. Like if
I wake up in the morning, they call it morning,
would some men wake up dick be hard? You know,
you could choose to you it's a choice. You could
(22:46):
choose to put a sock on your dick and beat
it and shoot your precious life force in a in
a sock. Or you could choose to get up and
put that energy into your workout. You could take your
sexual cravnce and translate that energy in the sun something else,
and it shows it shows you can translate that energy
like you can have practice, seeming retention and something else
(23:10):
that I've noticed since I've been on this journey, I've
been practicing about maybe three and a half years. And
it is times that I had with dreams. Because when
you anything that need to come out with you, it's
gonna come out. I have we dreams. Don't watch porn
at all, don't even watch porn. Don't don't even feed
that to your man. I'm talking about put it into
your music. That energy is gonna be different. Everybody that
(23:32):
meet me not say, man, your energy is so different
now because I'm translating it. Even when I'm around women,
they tell me, you know what, you talk about a
lot of sexuals related topics in your songs. I say,
you know how, I say because I have stained and
I put my cravens into the music. Yeah, and when
I kitch you, guess what. I'm not gonna play with you.
(23:54):
But I don't get creep energy from you because I
don't look at women objectively. This is a blessing. Even
met your matchroom, Um, I met somebody really close, and
guess what I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell you something.
I'm gonna tell you something. I haven't met my match,
but I miss somebody that's really close. And the reason
(24:16):
I say, she really really close. Oh God, don't kill it.
She got acting in her face. I know this gonna
sound crazy. I know this gonna sound crazy. A lot
of women were acting in their face, got good pussing
because they harmones. They harmones are so imbalanced that it
caused them to have congestion, so they're not releasing properly.
(24:38):
See once I started really justus caught in. I really
put it on her. Her face started cleaning up. Because
a lot of time we break out, you notice we
have bad acting developed through to what stress and things
of that nature. I'm not saying all women were acting
anything with the skin, yeah, but a lot of a
lot of the things that go on with us are
really internally. I'm that is just saying it for that.
(25:01):
But she she uped though she and my top three.
That's good man, because there's a lot of women out
there with acne and they got insecurities because of the acne.
But you just know, I'm so serious, like like a
woman with act a little bit of congestion acting in
our face, then be the ones I'm talking about. Pussy good.
So you don't like the make up, I mean, yeah,
(25:22):
don't you don't want to see a girl with makeup?
You want see her for what So you can see
the acne because she covered up with the makeup, you
won't see it. Oh you could just see acne with makeup.
I'm gonna say this. I just I'm not a big
fan of makeup. I like a woman in a natural
state because sometimes my skin is and she get congested.
If I eat the wrong things. Anything I put in
my badg gonna show up in my face. That's dietarr related.
(25:45):
I know this one out fast for about seven days,
don't eat nothing, just juice. My skin looked like glass porcelain.
It just it's something internal. But I just noticed that
with hood, like in a few women that I a
run across with acne. Puss it good. You know. I
wanted to say, I'm talking my great as a fact, yes, Lord,
(26:07):
speaking of the music, I appreciate the fact you did
by my lonely by speaking knockas over man. Do you
know where he's from from the same plan, Well, he
from Columbia. I'm from most corner. But his mom, his
mom woked like really really good woman. Yeah. Like at
least I started listening to him in jail, and it
was always like my dream of like work with him
and he had dad before I came home. Yep, I started.
(26:29):
I started communicating with him like four months Carolina, sir, h,
I love that place, that's home. But what made you
want to do that? Because you're a fan of music? Yeah,
I was a fan of him, and I always say that,
Like at my concert, before I bring the song, I'd
be like speaking Knockas, I love you forever because I do,
like I never got a chance to meet you, but
I met you like Mama Knockas. She just she loved me.
(26:53):
Now you know what I wanted to ask you about
your relationship, which drinker, because there's been a lot of
speculation online. So how is everything a little I'm speculated.
I don't answer. No, I don't. I don't. I don't
do that with the internet. Let them say what they
want to say about me. I don't kill they say
all kind of negative things about me. Because then you
see her and she still know all the lyrics to
all the songs on the album. She posting that looked
(27:15):
like she loved me. Yeah, and I love That's it?
Like what else? Like why does my life? Why does
it matter? People be? I just want to know. I
just know Listen, you're living by caressly through somebody else.
You're looking at my life for your source and entertainment.
My life is not your source entertainment. Last time I checked.
I'm grown, I'm a real god to do what I want.
(27:40):
I'm just saying, oh, I just say that because I
get an X that questions so much, And why does
it matter? Either you love me or you don't. Either
you're gonna you're gonna hate me for who I am
and love me for who You're never gonna love me
for who I'm at. So this is why does it
matter for that situation? Because you y'all were so intwined
with each other, still live between, we're still in. People
(28:03):
don't see something always why what happened? You know? People
see you with somebody else and then they'll be like, oh,
he's doing this, And did you see me nailing somebody else?
And you just see me with somebody you ain't seen
me pinning up and somebody else somebody. I can't even
(28:25):
But I'm just saying it's a true statement. Like, listen,
let's go off statistics like a lot of the I'm
gonna say, all of the women I ran across with
that acne and they face then being prussire real Prussia,
and they had an insecurity about the acne. Girl, lick
your little bomps. You better stop playing with me. What
(28:46):
did you think about Nick Canada's comments that eighty percent
of all women don't know how to probably clean the vaginas.
I ain't gonna say eighty percent, but it's a high
it's a high percentage, right. But I'm gonna say this,
It's not their fault. They never were being taught. We
forced them to a society where the mama might have
had it been a dad and the mom in a relationship,
(29:06):
you got something in a single parent households. You know,
I thank god I had a grandmother, you know that
taught me and raised me and loved me. Taught me
how to clean all behind my ears. You know, a
woman I supposed to putting no soap on they or
it don't even pppost to go in there. It cleans itself.
You clean it internally. You can't. Nothing external adds value.
(29:27):
You clean yourself up from the inside out, not the
outside end. So as far as cleaning yourself properly, a
lot of people don't even use wash rags. They don't
even scrub, they upper derm as, they old layer skin off.
You know what I'm saying, It's just not taught. Yeah,
you can't follow them that they don't know whoever they are. Man,
I know niggas that don't I know niggas that's like Jason,
(29:47):
I'm talking about real killers, but scared of get in
the water. I know niggas like that, just real trolls.
It's not they fault, it's just they don't know no better.
So you can't be mad at them if they never
been shown properly how to clean himselves. You know, cleanliness
is next to gardliness. I don't even feel right to
the shot off. I came here, that's all. You're on
stage two and you was telling the crowd like, y'all
(30:08):
don't don't don't love me based on I guess the
reception to your album. So what were your expectations? No,
I can't say that, I thought, No, I can't say
that like that. I just asked him, what cha don't
love me? Oh? I thought it was because of the album.
You know how, I don't measure that off numbers schmumbers. Okay,
you know how I know the album doing good because
everywhere I go on the street, like I don't tell
(30:29):
him I'm popping up over here. I hear that the
cause of album playing, it's healing the world right now.
I spoke on subject matters that no rappers even touch.
You got from the young to the old. It's gyms
in there for everybody. It's healing the world. Because my
son don't learn through through on. He don't learn through education.
(30:49):
He learned through entertainment. I make his learning fun for him,
and that's how he learned because he hands on. Like
I can't sit in no class like this all day,
that's true. Would you want me to be asign? I
want to be hands on and the experienced. Don't you
teach me? Show me? Don't you do more? Why don't
you cover like we we ever seen you a six
years man. You don't over the last time, and we
(31:13):
couldn't somebody and somebody in his team at Colby, that's
what it was. Anytime you you would have come. I
don't understand like you. I don't think you understand. Forget
all people heal from the words that you that's right,
that's the most important thing. The music, yes, of course,
but people heal from your words and the music. Yeah,
you know what I mean. When I'm telling watching that
Big Fact podcast, I was like, man, we're in a
We're in a different time where Brothers is really embracing
(31:37):
the healing process. And I love Kendrick's album, I love
your project. You know, a West Side bookie like all
of these brothers talking about healing and therapy. Have you
ever told you nough ani ya? No. I never told
me no. But you know what I did want to
ask you when we since we're talk about healing pt
ptoe right, and you're talking about protect me from my friends,
and several times you do discuss having friends and people
(31:59):
close to you that I have betrayed you financially. A
lot of times it is how do you heal and
move on from that? And is there ever any conversations
of forgiveness because you said you just they just can't
get in touch with you. I'm gonna be honest with you.
Sometimes when you forgive people, it's not to rectify the
or get the matter resolved. It's to resolve the matter internally.
(32:20):
I'm forgiving you for me, not for you. I'll probably
never deal with you again, but I forgive you. But
It just showed me I can't be looking for myself
inside of other people, and we do that a lot
of times. I can't expect you to be the way
I'm built because I'm cut from a band down. A
lot of these dudes cut from shit paper. So I
can't expect you to be like me. And I understand
(32:41):
that and not respect it. I just know how far
to go with you know, hey, like trusting people is scary.
It's scary, like you have I got a question, Like
you have a conversation with somebody and it's supposed to
be in private, but mad they come, they ask your
dirt or launch route, like that's not platinum, that's not
(33:01):
a platinum, and then it kind of put you on
a share and make you well. I can't even say
what I want to say fulfill that they might. You
know what, guess what, I'm transparent in a way, bitch,
say what you want about me. I don't even imitate it.
I wouldn't made for everybody to like, what has impactaged
your life? Man? More? What has impacage your life? More?
Islama hip hop? You know, I'm me to tell you
(33:23):
something to be honest, since you're speaking about that and
I mean it's with all due respect, the people that
hurt me the most, it's my own people. Like they
hurt me the most, been my own people, people that
look like me. Like it's a lot of Muslims that
(33:47):
loved me, but it's also a lot of Muslims that judgement.
You can't have tattoos. That's hard m this this that
hard arm. It means forbidden. You can't do this. And
this man you know, who helped me, like really get
back on my feet since my last tool. It been
Jews and transgenders, like the people that the world will
say is the worst people them the people that helped me,
(34:07):
Like I'm doing business. They bring like I got a
pot to here, jew he bringing me coffee deals and
all of this. We're doing all these investments. This Later
she transgender. She say, baby, you can use my white
house if you want to put all your merchant up.
Just gave me the whitehouse. Man, the words you say,
they speak to my spirit. I love who, I love
who you are. I love what you stand for. It
(34:27):
be the people that the world say is the most
worst people, fucked up people on earth, been the people
that helped me. And it's my own people that judge
me and kicked me when I'm down, and I always
got something negative to say about me. I always in
my business, keep my name and miss like like. Then
they say black lives matter and get mad when I
don't support it. Who they matter to? We kill each
other all day? Who they matter to? We talk behind
(34:50):
each other back. We always what the fuck? Like I
told garden Man, I hate to say it. I mean
it's without the respect of the Look, if I gotta
come back a nigga, I just waited to see them
else come available. Pig I don't even won't be no nigga. Really,
everybody won't be a nigga teller time to be one.
That's I just you're a black guard though. Niggas the
(35:11):
nigga mean king. That's what they say. No, that's what
why you hear me say b o, n big old nigga,
that mean king. We was taught wrong, We was taught
wrong and nigga mean king, big old nigga. I got that, nigga.
I'm a big old nigga. It's nothing I can't go
through and and adapt and adjust and become greater. But
(35:33):
that's what most of my problems don't come from other people,
come from niggasjudge me. That's who kicked me when I'm down,
But that's also who supports you to But we also
got I'm gonna be honest. I'm gonna be honest with you.
I can't say it's just niggas that support me. You
know what it is that supports me, real people. I
don't look at that like that. I look at it
(35:53):
as real people and fake people. Real people do real things,
fake people do fake shit, and you never know who
your blessing gonna come through, so you can't judge. Don't
you believe it's a white supremacist system that created that
put us in this position to even be the way
we all to each other. They say that, but I
ain't shit. I got a good heart. I try to
(36:14):
help niggas. I get shitted on. But every time think
about how you think about how you working for the
healing process, there's a bunch of brothers and sisters that
support you. Yeah, the real people. It's real people and
fake people. And I ain't trying to be controversial with
this shit, but it's real people and fake people. But
the people that didn't really kick me when I'm down
be the people that look like me, the people that
(36:34):
judge me, Be the people that look like me. That's
why I didn't God using you as a vessel. Now
that I hope somebody to hear this and realize that
main't look hey, it's like I can't do no, I
can't do no right. I started to get rid of killed,
talked about, kicked in my ass for nothing, for what?
Every time? I mean, I'm I ain't trying to admit
this type of emotion, but man, this shit hurt, This
(36:57):
shit hurt, homie. I feel like I asked, I asked
on the one interview, I say, man, you know I
ain't even make contact with that girl in the Florida
You got don't under standing? Light on me a nigga like,
and I love you because maybe Guard used you for
me to go through this transition, I wouldn't be who
I am not, So I tached that positive energy to it.
(37:18):
But I had harbored a lot of resentment from they
all took me from my children over a four hundred dollars. Fine,
y'all gave me six months for that. When it's time
for me to come home Illinois, say you got a warrant.
What you know about having your heartbroke like that? Get
to Chicago jail. You know, I'm doing my bid, Miller,
my bid. Your brother just got murdered. What you know
(37:39):
about having your heart broke like that? I could keep going,
But like I could keep going, I was destroyed on
the inside. Man, you shit hurt like so of course
I get emotional just thinking about it, Like it's like
I can't do no right. But with the people. That's
like when I say real people, it's real people and
(37:59):
fake people. It's just that's how I look at life.
I can't go through this with it and attach myself
to know. But you'd be surprised how many people you're
helping right now. Yeah, Like I mean, I mean, I mean,
I just you know, I love I look at the
at Malcolm Mix and all the ship that he stood
funning all that shit, and I identify with him. I do.
(38:22):
And I was like, yeah, you know, went to jail.
We're gonna ride in this bitch. Yeah, they're feeding us
cold food. I'm about to stand. Yeah, come on, let's
go when they come in this bitch, let's go. You
know what the niggas did when they came in up
with them guns and ship niggas. Whin't got nig wreck.
I'm out there fighting by myself. Don't nor the war.
And told me, he said, I respect you, your man,
but start sticking by yourself. I can't win, you know,
(38:46):
minister fragon I said one time in this fag and
I said, you have to love black people more than
they hate themselves. I guess I love I love, I
love God, and I love my family, and I love
people that love me. I'm not walking out, hey, I'm
gonna be honest with you. You're gonna be honest, said
like people I don't like, I don't wish no good
(39:08):
on them. I hope you. I hope you drive down
the street and get hit by a car, and that
this is why healing is like like, I don't wish
good footnot linear, I don't. I don't like. I don't
wish like. I'm gonna be honest. I don't wish good like.
I'll be hearing people say that man, he hurt you.
I wish the best for you. I'm gonna say I
wish you the best because I'm not gonna put no
(39:28):
negative energy. But I don't wish no good for you.
I don't give a fuck what happened to you. This
is why healing isn't a task. It's a practice, all right,
it's a journey. It's no harm on anybody. I just
mind my business man. That shit sound cool, that shit,
that shit sound cool, that shit sound I'm gonna tell
the truth, though. Hey, if you hurt me or funk
(39:48):
over me, man, I wish something bad happened to you.
That's why you point that wrestler so hard. No no comment,
no comment. I'm just asking. Don't like the world, the
world want to be politically correct. I'm not trying to
do is be successful. I'll be feeling. I can't just
(40:12):
be successful and cut somebody off so that they have
no access to you. And I think that's I mean,
why would I throw away all of this behind a
peon a pisant mindset? If you did something pussy on
Malaysius to me, that just showed me where your mind
said that you are pisant. But I ain't wishing a
biss for you. I don't care what the fuck happened
to you now. I'm not wishing the best. But I'm
just saying I said I would cut off access to you,
(40:33):
but would be successful. I don't wish the biss. I
might say that he stay bliss boy boy, thank you
that today I ain't gonna say the boy fuck you,
ditt thank you, but I think the man you I'm
gonna hey, listen, I'm gonna say with everybody scared to say,
I'm not with that politically correct. But all of that
(40:55):
intro was gonna be how you have to start the
album off because I see all of that in the intro. Yeah,
that like when I make music, that therapy for me.
I'm releasing all of these emotions and things of that nature,
and it's healing for people to hear that. Oh man,
I'm going through the same thing he going through. This
is how he did with it, with fitness, this is
how he did with it. I take I could go
smoke weed, but I love with eNCA Johnson say. He
(41:18):
said a lot of these brothers when she get difficult,
they just go blow weed. Da ain't got nothing invested. See,
when you're investing something and you hustle and you work
for something, you got a different type of attachment to it.
You're gonna have a cold day in hell for somebody
to try to take this from you. We live by this,
we die by this. We don't surrender, we don't retreat.
Every man want to search his own soul. I listened
to that quote every morning. Every man wanna search his
(41:40):
own soul. And I gotta just tell a truth. I
don't feel like a lot of these people feel. Oh
they're scared to say that's how they feel. I don't
care whatever you think about me. I don't care. I'm happy,
but I ain't gonna lie. That was triggering when I
got to think about all the hurt. But would you
do sky diving again? You saw me? Yeah, did you
(42:03):
do that again? I would never wait. I jumped off
the thing in Jamaica that was healing. Yeah, I did
it one time too. Then you start looking up on
him YouTube because I didn't wear a cot. I was
gonna join a club because it was so free. Right,
join the club and we go every week. And then
somebody up here showed me the sky diving accidents. And
(42:24):
I've seen people getting electrocq to get caught, the lines,
the polls and everything that happen. I's like, now, I'm good.
I got six Hey, Faith over fear, buddy. The moral
of this interview. Is healing isn't a task? And he
trying to do all healing? Is it? Linear? Healing is
a journey. Now that's right, that's right. You really gonna
autograph my book? You just said that because I got you. Man.
(42:47):
I appreciate when I have autograph because I ain't bringing
my book done. I got give it the crust, but
I'll have enough. But I appreciate what you out here doing. Cab.
I do, I really do because people need to hear
from me. Don't care to day smelling it. That was
a learning that wasn't donna get to day though. That
was It was funny. I thought that should have been
a challenge. I wanted people to do it like you want.
(43:08):
You want me to. He wanted me to eat this
Kevin Gates, It's the breakfast song. Good morning,
