Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now this morning show in Boston.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 3 (00:04):
It's just a great start to my day on Kids
one eight.
Speaker 4 (00:08):
Okay, welcome in. Happy Friday, everybody, It's the Big Friday show,
The Billy and Lisa Morning Show. Lisa, going to be
a nice day today.
Speaker 5 (00:16):
No, it'll be cloudy. You'll see some filtered sun, but
it's still going to be warm. Temps in the low
seventies all week.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
They said, Sonny and nice fight.
Speaker 5 (00:23):
It's going to be. It's just not as much sun.
It's going to be, you know, mix the Sun Club.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
Did any of us see the crescent moon in the sky?
Speaker 5 (00:31):
I did. I didn't know what it was. I thought
it was a UFO. I'm legitimately driving in this morning,
I was like, what is in the sky. It's a
waning cresset face moon?
Speaker 6 (00:39):
Do you see it?
Speaker 1 (00:40):
When I drive here? Half sleep?
Speaker 7 (00:43):
It was.
Speaker 5 (00:44):
It was gorgeous.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Yeah, it's kind of like a once in a lifetime
thing where the moon collides, or rather a line doesn't collide,
I can aligns with the planets.
Speaker 5 (00:53):
I can't believe I actually saw it.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Is it like a smiley face? It creates a smiley face.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
I don't know what it was, but I saw it,
and I didn't know what it was. I thought, literally,
I thought something was going on.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Sounds beautiful, which I would have noticed.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
Yeah, yeah, these things don't happen often. Yeah, you know,
the planet's aligning with the moon. I guess it's a
big deal. And it was up there for an hour.
You were supposed to look into the sky at five
thirty this morning, and it was hanging around for an hour.
They were aligned for like an hour.
Speaker 6 (01:19):
Well at LISTA saw.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
It, so I know, I can't believe it.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Yeah, Oducky, did any of you have you ever any
of you followed this tragic story of the hiker, Yes,
from Topsfield?
Speaker 5 (01:32):
It's horrific.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
Who was hiking. Three of her four children were with
her and she fell fifty maybe even seventy feet to
her death. Oh, just an awful story.
Speaker 8 (01:43):
Yeah, this is a this is a big loss. The
uh you know, the entire tops Field community is morning
this morning. And one of her kids played baseball with
a good friend of mine's son. So really Yeah, she
messaged me last night. She's all torn up about it.
So a lot of people are are helping in any
way that they can. Is a GoFundMe. I did post
(02:04):
that on my Instagram. You can find the link that's
at just to Beasy on Instagram. I get that was
the best way for me to get it out, but yeah,
I thought some prayers go out to the Sangar family.
Speaker 9 (02:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
I guess she was an on college nurse in fact,
just to open to wellness center, which.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
Was her dream.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Wow, it's so well man and hiking was her passion. Ye,
So yeah, I just wanted to mention it this morning,
and again there's a go fundme justin.
Speaker 8 (02:31):
Yeah, I go to my Instagram. My Instagram story's at
just to Beasy. You'll find the link that you can
just click it and donate if you wish.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Now, you know how, we've occasionally had this guy, Matt
sheer On. He works down the Hall on WBZ News
Radio and he does these incredible feature pieces. And Justin
and I were watching the one he did this past week,
his most recent one. Because we've talked about the show
on Netflix, Love on the Spectrum, Yeah, I guess it's
(02:59):
a number one on Netflix right now. And it turns
out this girl Parry who was on the Spectrum is
fascinated has a passion for the MBTA. Yes, and Matt
Sheer reached out. He ran into her by accident and
talked with her and then ended up watching Love on
the Spectrum not realizing she's on the show.
Speaker 8 (03:22):
Yeah, it was. It was two years ago. He interviewed
her for a piece and he never used the footage.
We have to ask him why. He never never ended
up using it. But then he was watching Netflix and
saw her and did a whole piece on it.
Speaker 6 (03:34):
His a little bit of it.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
That well, are you part of the news.
Speaker 10 (03:36):
Yeah, Oh my god, what's up?
Speaker 11 (03:38):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Hey, I'm Matt Sheer from WVZ News Radio.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
Okay, I'm Parry Can.
Speaker 10 (03:42):
I'm a huge fan of the MBTA. I just want
to say they see us. Thank you so much for
giving me a great way to get around Boston without
the cars. I just feel like free, like it can
go anywhere. And I wish everyone loved the t as
much as I do.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
So that happened back in twenty twenty three.
Speaker 10 (03:58):
Oh my god, it's like an underground king.
Speaker 9 (04:00):
I was working on a totally unrelated story and that
self proclaimed tea princess showed up like a party crasher.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Who's so chill that everyone just rolls with it. Let's
go football.
Speaker 9 (04:09):
You for did get to use that footage. But I
always wondered what became of that purple princess known as Parry.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
And then one day I was watching TV.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
I'm Parry.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I'm twenty two years old.
Speaker 9 (04:20):
Parry had been chosen for the hit Netflix Docky series
Love on the Speck.
Speaker 8 (04:23):
Yeah, imagine amazing, and her two dreams were to meet
Michelle wu the mayor of Boston, and Taylor Swift. Oh
oh look look, look, hold on it special. You're wearing
a Taylor I'm wearing a tailor shirt.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
And she's coming in. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Yeah, Well she did get to meet Michelle Wou.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
She certainly did, and that was cool. Right on the
t Michell was there with her baby and says Hire you.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
Honestly, it brought tears to my eyes. It was such
a great piece. That's incredible.
Speaker 8 (04:52):
And by the way, I just talked about the GoFundMe
on my Stories. I did post the video on my
stories too, so you can get both good.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
And by the way, producer Riley, you're the biggest swifty
we know, so if you can reach out to Taylor,
see if you can call in this morning when Parry's
in here with match Here. Match Here does a really
good job at what he does. He's got so many
great pieces. He did another one last week about a
guy in his mid sixties who has five million Instagram followers,
which is unusual for a guy of that age, and
(05:20):
that was an interesting story too. Anyway. Yeah, Parry's coming
in with Mattcher this morning at eight ten. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
I can't wait to talk to her. She's six. Such
a sweet souls.
Speaker 8 (05:29):
This has been a busy week, I know, man, right, yeah,
think about it.
Speaker 11 (05:35):
Busy week, Happy Friday. It's the mayor of the South Bend.
I just want to give you guys a compliment. What
a very entertaining show it's been this week between charn Brady,
the dream Lady, Riley with the Bachelor and his funny questions.
Except one thing I don't like is that guy that
(05:57):
has the crush on Billy.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
He kind of gives me the creep.
Speaker 11 (06:00):
Don't have a great weekend, everyone.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
That's another game moving in on the mask.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
I think that's what it is.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
They're so territorial.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Wow yeah, yeah, it's just like to say I'm the
gay in town.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Oh yeah, he has.
Speaker 12 (06:13):
A Billy biggest fan here. I have one preset and
one pre set only it's Kiss went Away. And of
course you don't give the other brats the president on
their birthday. That's ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
From the Planet Fitness, Kiss Rue Away Studios, we're back
with a Billy and Lisa in the morning. Kiss.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Oh, welcome back, Happy Friday. Nice day today at List
for those.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
Weeks just waking up, it's gonna be warm like seventies.
Filtered son, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Filtered son. We may still be getting some of that
haze from the wildfires in New Jersey. That's what was
going on yesterday. I think you're right, all right, justin
talked backs. You got a couple.
Speaker 6 (06:50):
Oh god, it's the battle of the gays.
Speaker 8 (06:53):
Oh boy, the mayor of the South End and Billy's
number one fan.
Speaker 12 (06:57):
Good morning, guys, especially Billy. I don't know what to
deal with the Mayor of the South End having his
panties in a punch getting all weird about me. You
better be careful though, if he keeps talking, I'm going
to get top Dog to sick him soon.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Reliable O.
Speaker 6 (07:12):
Yeah, any issues you know who to call.
Speaker 7 (07:16):
Now.
Speaker 11 (07:17):
The entertainment updates with a billy Copso alright, let's go.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
It's Friday. Celts in the Magic Game three in Orlando, Florida. Tonight,
Celts up two games zip No Jason Tatum again Tonight
Game four, also in Orlando. Sunday. NFL Draft got started yesterday.
The Patriots got six foot six, three twenty pounder Will
Campbell from LSU, the fourth pick. The New England Patriots
(07:47):
like Will Campbell. Yeah, Will Campbell a big offensive tackle.
Now New England Patriots.
Speaker 13 (07:54):
Honored to wear the Patriots logo to represent that organization,
that city. It'll be everything I ever wanted, and I'm
gonna give him everything I got.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
I love his accent, I love him southern little.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
Everybody seems to be happy about that pick.
Speaker 8 (08:09):
Yeah, they say he has short arms, a little bit
of a controversy.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
Dinosaur really okay, yeah, but he's a big dude.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
He is really bad.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
No, wait a minute, at six for six he has
t rex arms? Is that real?
Speaker 6 (08:22):
They say he has short arms.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
Yet really, so he's like proportionally not that's yeah. Yeah,
it's kind of a wingspan.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Oh yeah, so he's not going to be reaching for
the salts at the dinner table.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
I mean I wouldn't mess with him six Oh.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
No, no. In fact, I think we should just move
on right now. Miami quarterback cam Ward the number one
pick overall. He went to the Titans. Heisman winner Travis
Hunter went to the Jaguars the second pick, and uh,
you gotta love Tom Brady. Well, he's my new son.
So he is as humbled as it gets. So. During
his YouTube series, he was asked who he thinks the
(08:58):
five most talent arms in the NFL are in history? Okay,
are or were? He never mentions himself, and he also
leaves out Peyton Manning, Patrick Mahomes and John Elroy. But
here were his pick.
Speaker 13 (09:12):
Dan Marino Aaron Rodgers, saying that most people would certainly
say those two. I'd say Brett Farv I would probably
say in this heart, and I think I might put
Matt Stafford up there.
Speaker 6 (09:25):
I'm missing a lot of people.
Speaker 13 (09:26):
I mean, I think of Jeff George Randall, Cunningham, Michael Vick,
Josh Allen. Those guys are a step above people who
have great arms. And then I think you have the
elitey lead arms.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
I mentioned himself.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
Well, you know who's definitely not on the list.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
Oh, Will Campbell. Yeah, I think.
Speaker 14 (09:49):
Will alone.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
I think so.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
He's a big fella. Yeah. Saturday Night Live out with
the remaining lineups for Season fifty. Quinton Brunson will host
Me a Third, Benson Boone will be the musical guest.
Walton Goggins from The White Lotus will host May tenth,
Arcade Fire will be the musical guest that night, and
Scarlet Johansson will host May seventeenth. Bad Bunny will be
(10:14):
the musical guest.
Speaker 6 (10:15):
Got a good jelly Roll story?
Speaker 4 (10:16):
Okay jelly Roll on Kimmel Live last night talking about
his incredible weight line.
Speaker 6 (10:22):
I've been thinking.
Speaker 15 (10:23):
About ways to make it sound cool, but I can't.
I'm eating a lot of protein and vegetables of walking.
Speaker 6 (10:27):
That's what I'm doing.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
That's what you want to do. How much does he
mind me asking how much you've lost?
Speaker 15 (10:34):
We're approaching the two hundred pounds.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
I would guess that I have lost an entire Jimmy
Kimmel totally. Hey, remember when Nicki Glazer hosted the Golden
Globes recently, she took a shot at Selena Gomez and
Benny Blanco, who, by the way, we're sitting right in
the audience this one.
Speaker 16 (10:55):
Rina Gomez is here double nominee tonight for Amelia Perez
and Only Murders. And she's here tonight with her new
fiance Benny Blanco. Yes, and Benny Blanco was here because
of the genie who granted him that wish man, I'm
lucky guy.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
Well, Nikki kind of walking it back this week.
Speaker 16 (11:16):
I've never looked at them and actually thought that, Like,
I'm like, I feel like she won too with.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
It, Like, I think he's really cool.
Speaker 16 (11:23):
So because that joke didn't actually come from a mean place,
I felt like it was okay for me at least
it was okay.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
For me to say.
Speaker 16 (11:30):
And I texted him before.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Yeah, so she walked it back.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
I only think, I mean, I think it was lighthearted.
Wasn't that?
Speaker 4 (11:38):
You know, they didn't seem to mind. They kind of
laughed at their table that night. And that happened at
the time one hundred gala last night, Lisa, both Blake
Lively and Justin Baldoni were there. That must have been awkward.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
Blake Lively also did a really weird speech where she
kind of touched on the controversy but then went into
this whole thing about her mother being a victim of rape,
which a lot of people are having a hard time
with that. She decided to do it last night and
never said anything when she was doing the press tour
(12:12):
for It Ends with Us, which was about domestic violence.
So she's being shaded a lot on social for the
timing of the story.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Convenient right.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
We have some of what she said about her. I
say more.
Speaker 17 (12:25):
I want to warn that I will speak about tonight
covers trauma, So please feel free to step away from me.
My life was influenced most by my mother sitting here tonight,
Willie Elaine Mcalvin. She's an eternal optimist, and she's always
leaving me messages hoop in and holler in and saying
(12:47):
what life does the bowl of cherries, It's true always,
and she'll get your number tonight. She'll leave you those messages,
so please be warned. And her urging and her unwavering bravery.
She wanted me to share with you that she is
a survivor of the worst crime someone can commit against
a woman. I've watched her conceal hur raw and undeserved
(13:11):
shame my entire life. So as her daughter, being asked
to share this today is monumental.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Okay, Blake Lively kind of freaks me out.
Speaker 5 (13:23):
I just thought, I mean, it's an impactful story, it
really is. I just don't know. You know, a lot
of people are saying, like, why would she do it
last night at this gala.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
The only anything that maybe she didn't have permission before
to share, and now her mom gave her permission because
it's not her story to tell. Her mom didn't want
her to speak on it before this, but but it's also.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Kind of weird to do it now in the middle
of all the accusations back and forth. Justin Baldoni, I'm
just saying, I.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Just feel like Blake looks for anything to feel relatable
because she's so not relatable, and then she comes up
with such a mean girl right so when she needs
simples some of her back pocket.
Speaker 5 (14:00):
Saying yeah a pr movie, Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
We talked about Benny Blanco a couple of seconds ago.
Last night he was giving Selena Gomez the prom experience
she never had.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
It was so sweet.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Everybody says he's the perfect boy.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Really, he hasn't done anything wrong. I mean, this guy
is on it.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
What can you complain about if you're her, Like you can't.
He took her to the mall and they got like
pictures in it, like sears.
Speaker 5 (14:24):
Oh I love that.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Oh my god, he got the limo.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
He thought him everything. He's just like the most thoughtful
man there ever was.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
And he posted a video of the whole thing to
the song, just the two of us. Yep, yes, we
know the something. And it was the total prom experience.
You never got to have hers as a teenager. So
he gave it to her this week and The Accountant
two hits theaters this weekend, expected to do big numbers
with Ben Affleck and by the way, lease Ben and
(14:53):
j Low's sixty eight million dollar mansion still hasn't sold.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
Yeah, and I guess they're fighting because Ben wants to
drop the price and j Lo doesn't.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Shocking, yeah, sixty eight million, and I've seen pictures. It
looks like a museum from the outside.
Speaker 5 (15:11):
Or a luxury hotel or that.
Speaker 7 (15:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Yeah, well, like how much money do you think they're
losing by not selling it?
Speaker 5 (15:17):
That's the thing. The carrying costs on it. Drop it
by fifteen percent.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Bite, Yeah, No, one's interesting because that's a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
You have a very small pool people that can afford that.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Right, and if they don't like it, or they don't
they think it's worth too much and they're not going
to buy it.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
And have it make financial sense sixty eight.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
These people have the money, but they're also have this
money because they're smart, so they're not just going to
float on some museum like you said.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Anyway, I want to see The Accountant too this weekend.
I'm going to try to see it this week.
Speaker 10 (15:45):
I know.
Speaker 8 (15:46):
I'm trying to decide on Sinners or The Accountant today.
Speaker 5 (15:51):
I will be at Showcase tomorrow watching The Accountant too.
It's going to be raining all day tomorrow.
Speaker 6 (15:56):
I should see Sinners then.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Yeah, it's good. It's a good movie.
Speaker 17 (15:58):
Dey.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Yeah, Lisa, you don't like the queen of Showcase Cinemas.
Speaker 5 (16:01):
I love Showcase Cinema.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Yeah, who doesn't.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
They're a great group.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Were brought to you by Dover Rug. You know there
is an art to fitting carpeting along a staircase or
a curved wall, cutting and binding it perfectly like a
well made suit. It's not just the rug, the material,
it's the tailor. Dover Rug Natick, Boston, Burlington and online
at doverrug dot com and there you go.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
It's so sod.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
From the planet's fitness Kiss one O. Wait two years,
we're back with a Billy and Lisa in the morning
on Kiss one O.
Speaker 17 (16:32):
Eight.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
Hey guys, and welcome back. It's the Big Friday Show.
Going to be a decent day today, right Lise.
Speaker 5 (16:38):
I think it'll be warm tempts in the seventies, but
you'll see like filtered sun today.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
Okay, And we want to call a name right now,
and this person's name. This person has fifteen minutes precisely
to get back to us. And if this person does
get back to us in fifteen minutes, they qualify. They
get a pair of tickets for Tate McCray Tate McCray
TD Guard in October seventeenth. Okay, that's for starters. But
then you qualify for the free car. Are you kidding me?
(17:04):
How do we get a free car to give it?
This is the second one too.
Speaker 5 (17:07):
We have to thank Mcgovernauto Group.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Absolutely absolutely McGovern HOUNDAI. Here we go at e Ferguson,
OH one, Producer Riley at Eve Ferguson, oh one.
Speaker 8 (17:20):
There you go fifteen minutes and this is the last day.
Oh so you have right now two, ten and four
times ten. It's crunch time. The big event is tomorrow
at Lemonster at McGovern the big car giveaway.
Speaker 18 (17:33):
Good morning, everybody, Happy Friday.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
This is Gollum.
Speaker 18 (17:36):
I cannot wait for tomorrow in Leinster for my chance
at that free car. But you know, I'm thinking, and
I have to be honest, I'm really rooting for Stop
Dropping Grind driving a ninety eight Toyota.
Speaker 12 (17:50):
You know what.
Speaker 4 (17:50):
She really deserves to win, so I'm financial.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
I agree.
Speaker 5 (17:55):
Well, she actually she qualified on this show.
Speaker 4 (17:59):
Yeah, she says she had over five hundred thousand. I
didn't even know the odometer went that high.
Speaker 6 (18:04):
Yeah, and her Instagram name was stop Dropping Grind.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
But she's an orthodonic, yeah, she explained it.
Speaker 12 (18:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (18:11):
So I work in orthodonics and when I started here,
my position what is called a grinder. And what we
do is we grind the acrylic of retainers in order
to fit into patient's mouth. And now I bend all
the wirework and things like that.
Speaker 8 (18:26):
So yeah, we thought that it meant something else, something else,
a little bit more dirty.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Yeah, but yeah, okay, out not so much. And the
clock is still ticking. I don't see Producer Riley on
the phone. So we're still waiting on the person's name
who we called. I got to talk about the Karen
Reid trive for a second. Today is a different day
for the trial. The jury's going on one of those
field trips.
Speaker 5 (18:47):
They're going back to thirty four Fairview and they're going
to look at the SUV.
Speaker 12 (18:52):
Ah.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
So imagine being the owners of thirty four A Fairview. Yep,
this is not over for them.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
They just bought the house. They didn't, they weren't there
were going to happen.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
They bought it like in the midst of all this,
and now it's a tourist attraction.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
So a big school bus will pull up outside the
house with the entire jury on board the field trip
and uh yeah, and so they get to look at
the neighborhood in Canton. But yeah, like you say, the
suv And just like the prosecutor said he would, he
is using Karen Reid's interviews on TV against her. And
they ran a clip in the courtroom yesterday for the
(19:29):
jury that had Karen Reid admitting that she had nine
vodkatonics of the night in question, but she points out
that they were watered down.
Speaker 8 (19:43):
I couldn't believe it. I was watching this you know,
the courtroom, Yeah, footage. I couldn't believe they had this tape.
Was crazy.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Excuse me now, no, no, no, see this isn't.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
Tall and not merely not fine.
Speaker 11 (19:58):
I need it tall like a tall laugh.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
Yeah, well, that's an exclusive piece of audio that we
got for the billion This Morning show from the night in.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
First I thought I was saying, yeah something, we got it.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
Unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
I'm mad. I wanted to hear this exclusive content.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
Yeah, well you just got it. But nine and she
said she'd of course, she's gonna say that she didn't
finish them all.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
But the fact that she said that she felt tipsy
getting in the car and that she should not have
been driving.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
She admitted that that contradicts the water down drinks.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
Okay, Also she's not I mean, obviously it's all based
off people are, you know, lightweights or whatever.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
But she's a small framed woman.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Yes, Like, there's no way that even a man of
a bigger stature could have seven or nine vodka drinks
and not be drunk. You're probably like one thirty one forty,
you've had nine and three hours.
Speaker 8 (20:56):
Well, we had Will Noonan on the show yesterday. Yeah yeah,
one of our favorite community and he broke down whether
or not he thought that I Karen was guilty.
Speaker 19 (21:03):
He drank so much fument. We've all been there, We've all.
Speaker 6 (21:06):
You know, had a few too many indoors.
Speaker 19 (21:08):
You try and kind of pretend the next day you
didn't and you're like, oh, man, remember we went home
right after the bar and everyone's like, we didn't go home,
went back to your house. He showed us videos or
do you want vacation share Hour And you're kind of like,
oh yeah, yah, yea, yeah, yeah, I totally remember that.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
Right.
Speaker 17 (21:26):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
She's the same way.
Speaker 19 (21:27):
She's like you can tell when they're given evidence.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
Sometimes she's like wow, wow kiss one a.
Speaker 20 (21:34):
Hey guys, good warning I just wanted to share with
you guys that after ten years of living in a
foreign country, I'm going back to Boston. I'm so excited.
Can you guys give me any good recommendations of good
places and fun activities?
Speaker 4 (21:51):
Oh man, that's a good one. You'd have to almost
start with the Seaport District, right, It's been reinvented every
year it gets better.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
So they've got put shack there they've got amazing shopping,
amazing restaurants, and they had the Soupret which is open
May through I think October ish, yeah, or May through September.
It is amazing. I mean actually I think it's open
all your round. But if they have like special events
May through the fall, and it's just beautiful. There's like
outdoor seating, there's great shopping.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
They have the Museum of ice Cream now they do
really open yep, and a lot of new restaurants along
the Seaport district.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
Totally like that's and the Cisco Brewery pop up is
open now.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
That's open for business.
Speaker 5 (22:31):
Really fine.
Speaker 6 (22:32):
Well, think about ten years what's changed in the sport.
Speaker 5 (22:35):
Everything, everything literally wasn't there.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
Yeah. That alone, And by the way, if she's listening,
if you're in the Seaport district, I would recommend at
some point you spend the entire day. You can hop
a water taxi right out of the seaport, and water
taxis will take you basically anywhere you go, including the
newly developed East Boston side of Boston that has some great.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
Restaurants, but also Encore. Yeah Encore, oh my god. Yeah right, wow,
that's a really fun day.
Speaker 8 (23:04):
You imagine going to the seaport and then to Encore
and seeing, you know, how much it's changed.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
And by the way, from the Seaport district, you can
get the Encore water shuttle that takes you right to
the casino in the hotel.
Speaker 6 (23:15):
You really out of the water. Boy.
Speaker 5 (23:17):
But Philly's right, like, it's so much easier than having
to sit through traffic on the water shuttle.
Speaker 8 (23:22):
Yeah, we went. We went on your boat last year.
You took us on the dinghy. Yeah, and we drove,
we yved down to the There's just.
Speaker 4 (23:29):
So much in Boston Harbor to enjoy.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
And then I have to say so too, that's over
in the South End on the weekends. They have their
vintage market on Sundays. That's a really fun take. So
I would recommend that too.
Speaker 4 (23:42):
And Boston, by the way, is celebrating its two hundred
and fiftieth, so there's always going to be something going
on in the city. When is she coming back home
this summer?
Speaker 6 (23:49):
Yeah, she's gone for summer.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
Perfect.
Speaker 8 (23:51):
Gotta hit Fenway again if she's been before, you know.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
And don't forget even the TD Garden has all kinds
of new venues and places and everything to check out.
Speaker 6 (24:00):
Oh my god, imagine land Causeway Street.
Speaker 8 (24:03):
Yeah, how much that's changed.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
And also go to Boston calling Memorial Day weekend. That's
a fun take too.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Is that's a good time.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Yeah, there are new concert venues in the city to
check out. If you want to see a concert. You've
got the MGM Music Call right, which is fabulous.
Speaker 5 (24:19):
Read runner.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
Oh yeah, Boston Landing. She's never seen the newly developed
Boston Landing in Austin Brighton, which has, yeah, the concert hall,
all kinds of restaurants, it has the new balanced track,
It's got the Bruins practice facility. I mean, yeah, you can.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
Think about like Assembly Row that wasn't here like ten
years ago. They really developed it in the last ten years.
And then like self based shopping center in Dorchester that
has everything now it has movie theaters, it has you know,
a Macy's, it has restaurants that wasn't there.
Speaker 8 (24:49):
Then Wow, we can go on to going on, well
what does everyone else think?
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah, now it's topic time for the Billy and Lisa
in the morning, so we'll get to talk.
Speaker 4 (24:59):
Back from one of our talkbackers. She's been out of
Boston for ten years, but it's moving back right justin.
Speaker 20 (25:05):
Hey guys, good warning. I just wanted to share with
you guys that after ten years of living in a
foreign country, I'm going back to Boston. I'm so excited.
Can you guys give me any good recommendations of good
places and fun activities?
Speaker 4 (25:22):
Okay, we gave a bunch of hours. You know, the
South End, the Seaport district of Boston, they've changed so much,
even Boston landing Austin Brighton. So many shops, so many restaurants,
so many things to do, Assembly rowe Encore Casino. Those
were some of ours. Now we want some of theirs.
You got talkbacks friend.
Speaker 20 (25:38):
Coming back to Boston, definitely, it's a drive by bu
I look at the new Jenga building, the newest addition
to the Boston Skyline.
Speaker 6 (25:48):
Yeah that's a trippy building. Yeah, wow, that's trippy looking.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Okay, there's that, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:53):
There's And also I want to mention that you know
she can drive outside of Boston. Yeah, she could maybe
jump on ninety three and had to sail in New
Hampshire to Tuscan Village.
Speaker 6 (26:02):
You could go. Yeah, so anywhere else, not just in
Boston anyway.
Speaker 12 (26:07):
But the woman who's coming back to Boston after ten years,
she should go check out places that she used to
enjoy going to ten years ago, as they may have
changed so much in that period of.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Time, right, Yeah, probably nothing might even be there anymore.
Speaker 6 (26:20):
Imagine that it wiped out.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
Yeah, I feel like that a lot of places have
been revamped or or like wiped out.
Speaker 5 (26:28):
I have to say Quincy Center, shout out to them.
They have just revitalized the entire city.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
I know there used to be a movie there down there,
and like that was it, and now it's like a
little mini Boston.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
It is.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
It's like it's there's everything down there, a lot of restaurants.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
But that's true. On the other side of the coin,
she could come back after ten years and some of
the things she's looking for aren't there anymore.
Speaker 6 (26:47):
Gone.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
Oh yeah, a lot of things gone.
Speaker 13 (26:50):
Good morning.
Speaker 11 (26:50):
It's the mayor that woman wanted to know what to
do in Boston. I would say, come to the South
End because we have everything. We have beautiful art architecture,
we have great restaurants. Lisa mentioned the Soa Market. We
have the beautiful Trinity Church, and everything is in walking distance,
so you can walk everywhere and don't forget to check
(27:13):
out the Gardener Museum. That is beautiful.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
Have a great day.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
He's session south Ender.
Speaker 5 (27:19):
Oh I know, he's such a cultured man.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
He really is.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
Well, don't forget the Ritz on Newberry Street is now
the Newberry Hope.
Speaker 5 (27:26):
Right, and check out that the Newberry like the street
bar there, theround floor, it's so nice.
Speaker 8 (27:31):
Well, Billy, you know, with this TV show does a
lot of these these cool things. Like he mentioned the
Museum of ice Cream. That sounds cool. Then the Museum
of Illusions. Oh yeah, after I did the show, Yeah,
that was really that was a really cool one too.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
They also opened up the Golden Canes downtown. No, they
opened up a canes, but it's like a golden one.
It's right in downtown.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
Canes doughnut, no canes like chicken.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
Oh okay, yeah, ras raisin canes. But it's like gold.
The whole thing is gold. It's crazy.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
Wow. And didn't Joanne Chang just open up a flower
on Boston Commons.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
She did.
Speaker 5 (28:07):
It's amazing right next to like where the frog Pond is.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
Yeah, Boston Common has changed a lot.
Speaker 8 (28:11):
Hot dogs there are I saw that when I was
when I was younger. Boston Common was not a fun
place to go, a lot of a lot of crime.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
You're sleeping there, So.
Speaker 6 (28:21):
It was my home for its short time. Winnie, thank
you very much for in the morning that there there is.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
We like the Commons. We can see why you didn't
like them.
Speaker 6 (28:31):
Ventures were kind of comfortable. I guess just no blanket.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Hey, guys, it's pallor in Boston.
Speaker 21 (28:35):
You know what's like a really fun thing to do?
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Do you guys?
Speaker 21 (28:39):
Remember the top of the Hub. Oh, yeah, at the
Prudential It used to be a restaurant. Well now it's
called I think View three sixty. You can go to
the top floor of the Prudential Mall and it's like
this cute little museum and this little miniature village of
Boston and you can look out over Boston as far
as the eyes can see. It's so cool. And they
(28:59):
have a bar and the doors open up and you're
on the top.
Speaker 9 (29:01):
Of the building.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Yeah, she's talking about View Boston and it is amazing.
She mentioned the doors open. Their glass walls just opened
up to the city skyline and everything. There's a swimming
pool up there with a bar with a restaurant. It's
an amazing place. Now you get it. And you're right
there at the Prudential, so you can check out them
all there too.
Speaker 8 (29:18):
And that's where Mark Wahlberg had he teamed up for
his special point for the Boston Mancha Azou. Yeah, let's
go to Rica online one.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
She's an acting all right, good morning Rica, Hi, good morning.
Speaker 7 (29:31):
I love you guys. You make me very happy. So
there's a place called Groton Hill Music Center in Groton, Massachusetts.
Beautiful place for concerts and music lessons and everything. It
was donated by a guy, an Arms, for twenty million dollars.
(29:52):
It's a white place.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
Okay, well, thank you very much. Groton is a beautiful town.
People don't get to grat enough. But it's a beauty
time to drive through. Yeah, once you find it, it's
a beautiful time to drive through.
Speaker 8 (30:07):
So funny enough, this topic came up today because this
morning my wife was texting me at school. Vacation for
my son next week, so she's trying to find things
to do with him during the day, you know, maybe
just her and him or whatever. So we were going
back and forth, and then I said to her when
we started the segment a segment before, oh, we're doing
a topic on this right now, tune in so you
(30:27):
can listen. She said, okay, And then I said, what
if one day you could drop Abel off at the
radio station and he could watch dad work.
Speaker 6 (30:35):
And she said, that's a great idea. Let me ask him.
She just texted me, oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
And what's the answer?
Speaker 6 (30:40):
No, at least on the morning.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
Well, justin it's one of those fridays we always say
it's the big Friday show. But you've got so many
talkbacks you want to play catch up right here.
Speaker 6 (30:50):
Absolutely so.
Speaker 8 (30:51):
You had some stories about the time one hundred Gala
last night, Blake Lively, Nikki glaize Erslina Gomez, Benny Blanco,
and one of our listeners in New York missed out
on a big opportunity.
Speaker 22 (31:02):
You want to tell a funny story about the time
one hundred Gala. I'm in New York City for work,
listening to you guys, of course on the iHeartRadio app.
And I walked over to the Whole Foods just to
grab some breakfast for today. See a lot going on,
don't really wait, don't think too much about it. Turn around,
take a picture of Central Park, walk back. Look on Instagram.
(31:24):
Later that day and see it's the one hundred gala.
Speaker 6 (31:28):
She was right there.
Speaker 5 (31:29):
It's amazing.
Speaker 6 (31:29):
I mean she could have stood there and watched the
red carpet.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
Yea, Lisa, is that take you back to the days
when you were working for Coach in New York City?
Speaker 18 (31:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (31:36):
I lived in New York for a couple of years. Yeah,
it's New York's amazing. You never know who you're going
to say.
Speaker 6 (31:41):
Yeah. Wow.
Speaker 8 (31:42):
And we just had our topic time, which was giving
recommendations to one of our listeners coming back to Boston
after ten years. You know, we all gave our own,
including Winnie.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
Once again, leave it to our own North Quinsy Whinnie
to mention a fast food location to have a returning
citizen visit after ten years. He has something special.
Speaker 20 (32:03):
She also shouted out to Self Bayople mentioned the.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
Seaport when he joined the Self End and when he
mentions Canes, Oh it's golden by the way, I knew
I noticed that, but I didn't want to say anything.
You know, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
Really, I have to say, there's something for everyone else.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
Boston has
