Good? We're doing? How arewe doing? How you doing? I
can't hand myself. What's going on? Well, Billy Costa, that's his
headphone volume, and so he likesit like this, like jacked. Okay,

(00:23):
Yeah, so I was going toturn it down because yeah, it's
crazy. Anyway, Hi, everybody, welcome to a Thursday after show.
Yeah, and here's the thing.I want to give a shout out real
quick, Whinnie to Beverly. Hername is Bevery say the person of the
city, state of the person.Although beautiful Beverly is beautiful Whinnie. And

(00:48):
then you know, it's like, and I always love when I drive to
Beverly. You know why because whenI get to the border of whatever town
I'm going through, danver is whatever, you get to the sign where it
says entering that Beverly, You're sucha child, And I think to myself,
I fucking made it. Billy andLisa in the Morning present a behind

(01:10):
the scenes look into Boston's favorite morningshow. That's a little too much information,
say my guys, the After Showpodcast, Who appears justin so anyway,
big shout out to Beverly. Shesent a really really really nice message
on Instagram to Winnie and I,which I really really appreciate, just saying
how much she loves the show andhow much you know, she loves Winnie

(01:36):
and I together chemistry and content.I like that. You are you are
the best. So shout out toyou, Beverly, and thank you very
much for listening. We appreciate itso much. So we're here last podcast
of the week. We did allfour days, Whinnie Wow, even with
a busy meeting schedule. I know, we have a lot of meetings this
week. I was here late yesterday. We had a meeting with the boss

(02:00):
and then we had I had aclient thing, Power of Recovery. They
were in the house and it's Ifelt so good because so Maddie Powers.
We've had him on the podcast. He's the CEO owner of Power of Recovery.
I endorsed them. I support themall that. Okay. Now,
Mattie's partner is a guy named Damon. Okay, Damon I got clean with

(02:23):
We got clean. We did servicework together in recovery. We were very
close, you know, and soDamon grew up with Mattie, so as
they both stayed clean, they gottogether. They opened this place. They
have like thirteen Soba houses or morethan that. It's crazy. They're very
successful. So Damon is the righthand man. He's like the guy that

(02:45):
runs shit for Maddie. So he'snever come into the radio station when Mattie
has to read with me and stuff. So Mattie says to me, He's
like, I really I'd like tobring Damon in. I'm like yeah,
So he does. So then we'rewaiting for Damon to get here because he
was stuck in traffic, and Maddiesays, we're about to record, and
he goes, I'm just I hadto get Damon here. He's like,

(03:06):
I just really want him to I'dlove to get him on a commercial,
did you? And I go,then why aren't we He's like, I
don't know. He's like, maybewe could do like all three. I
go, hold on a minute,I go, no, they hear enough
of my voice. You're paying forcommercials. You and Damon do the commercial?
Do you have it? Oh?Oh? You? And har yeah

(03:29):
I do have it. So anyway, so Damon comes in, okay,
and he's like the Matt's like,I want you to do the commercial with
me and beyond it and he goes, now, now, mind you.
I would have thought he would havebeen obviously he was excited, but he
would have been like, oh mygod, thank you so much. And
he's like, hell yeah, I'llkill that chid okay, And I go,
okay, mister confident. You know, because something, Maddie, although
he did really good this time inthe past, you know, it takes

(03:51):
a couple of takes. It's hard. It's hard to read a commercial.
But he, dude, we gotto the thing and he fucking won I
want to hear it natural. I'mgonna pull it up. Hold on,
I'm gonna play right now. Herewe go. Hey, everybody, it's
Maddie from Power of Recovery. Ibrought my main man, Damon along and
so many a touch by addiction apower of Recovery. You learn that it

(04:36):
and Instagram, and always remember, sober is the new sexy. That's
the slogan. He's good, right, Yeah, he's really good. Oh
my god, so good. Soyeah, if you don't know the quick
backstory there, So I got cleanwith both of those guys. I knew
Damon Moore, but I always knewMaddie and Uh in the past like ten

(04:56):
years. He's really like grown inthe recovery community. And you know,
obviously I'm very open about my youknow, addiction, and so when I
got on the Kiss Morning Show andstarted to have more of an on air
presence, in the back of myhead, I always thought, you know,
eventually somebody's going to reach out, like a recovery There's so many of
them. It's such a because it'san epidemic, you know, And so
I was always concerned that it wasgoing to be like a place that I

(05:18):
didn't approve of, So that meansI'd have to say no. And you
know, in my circle in theBoston area up to New Hampshire and the
recovery. It's well known and Iknow this from my own and my wife,
that power of recovery. Maddie. All of his places are legit.
The care he cares about people. There's no bullshit, like he's very hands

(05:40):
on because you know what happens winningI know, can I say it,
yes, but he's it. Alot of these people will do it and
it becomes just like a money paythere we go. They just turn over
beds. They just want to getthe patient in there just for the money
part of it, but they're notactually doing the correct work to get them
never to not come back, becauseonce it becomes about about about earning money.
Okay, it's it always starts offgood, like you want to help

(06:02):
people, and then because you getclean, you open a sober house or
recovery center. And what happens isat first it's good, but then eventually,
oh, someone relapses, and butthey're still working and they still can
pay their rent. So now youkick them out, you lose that rent.
You gotta get somebody else in.You know, as opposed to what
happens to these places, you havea whole house using, and it gets

(06:23):
even sicker than that, it getsthe Yeah, a lot of times the
house they don't either they don't kickthem out, or they don't monitor,
monitor, monitor them and to drugtest them. So it just becomes they
want the rent. Yes, Soyou have like a manager who's using,
who's overseeing a house of people thatare using, waits the irony. So

(06:44):
it's basically a crackhouse again, that'sright, It's exactly a high end crackhouse.
That's how it becomes. And itgets even dirtier than that where these
there's there's sick people. Man.See, this is the thing about addiction.
You get clean, you get offthe drugs, sometimes that sickness is
still there. Like there's a lotof stories of men, especially who own
recovery sober houses, women's houses.Okay, girl relapses, she can't pay

(07:10):
her rent. She's gonna get onthe street if you provide for me.
Oh my god. Yeah. Yeah. One of the most horrific accounts that
I ever read, yep, andthis is in Boston, was this mother
whose daughter died of a drug overdose, and she was expled telling talking about
how before her daughter died shortly beforeshe was in a sober house and she

(07:36):
relapsed, couldn't pay the rent andwas gonna get kicked out, and the
owner, a guy, said toher, I'll let you stay if you
whatever, and so she did andthen she was never right after that,
Like she did that thing, andthen she ended up leaving and continuing on

(07:57):
using or whatever. And like shetalked about her daughter calling her and telling
her what she did. She's like, Mama, he's letting me stay,
but I had to do this forhim. This is this is this is
an upstanding quote unquote member of therecovery community. Scumbag Winnie. So I
say all that to say it's notuh, you know, I wanted to

(08:18):
work with somebody that was like onehundred percent legit, and he is.
I've gotten a chance to chat withhim. He's great. Yeah, he's
really good though. Damon's the man'sso good. I'm not even like he
said it's so good. He's reallyreally a funny dude. And them two
together are like Bernie and Are andBernie Yeah, you know, they're two

(08:39):
like just best friends who fight andthey they're they're really good. And it's
really cool that I get hit upa lot obviously for people that want help.
And so I got the direct lineto Damon. That's like a woman
called this morning, you know,to Riley and said, my son is
struggling. He needs help. Iwant to get him help, can justin
help? And I said absolutely, and I gave the phone number for Damon.

(09:01):
That's a direct line in like that. I love that, like that.
Yeah, anyway, I gotta gethome when he I know. Jemas
sick. Yeah, Gema is sick. She has something going on. Okay,
so my wife just texted me.So she was up the last two
nights yesterday. It's weird. Shewas sick and then she wasn't sick,
so obviously clearly looks sick, doesn'twant to move, zombie like, give

(09:24):
her medicine, and then all ofa sudden she snaps out of it and
it's fine, but obviously something's wrong. So she's already in and waiting.
They swabbed her for everything, flu, COVID, RSV, and strap.
Well, let us know, honestly, I have a lingering a very deep
cough. Yeah, everybody is.I just got rid of it. It's
like not even it's not even likeit's just like tickling my throat at the

(09:46):
bottom of it though, you knowwhat I mean, like the base of
my throat I do. I justgot rid of the song. I'm hoping
it helps. Son will help forsure. Yeah, real quick, what
do you think about? So?You know how this is the ice bats?
Ice bats are all the rage whodid it first? Though I was

(10:07):
doing ice past five years ago.Just want to put that out there.
They've been done for hundred thousands ofyears going on. No, no,
no, I'm just saying I justwant that to be known because now ice
bats are more popular than ever.Everyone's doing them sauna and ice bath.
Okay, there's a place, sweathouse. You know what that place is.
Yes, So I was thinking aboutwhat Billy was about having the guy who

(10:30):
owns the sweat house on to talkabout you know him. Well, I
went to sweat house with way betteryou, sam My trainer. He did
an outdoor work out there on therooftop. So I went there and I
met Jackie, one of the managers, and she invited me to come in.
I have to text her. Ihaven't been back, but she invited
me to come in and do thewhole thing. You gotta do the plunge.
Yeah, they have in the room'scool in there. You had like

(10:52):
the plunge, you have the saunaforay, you have the shower that's like,
I don't know, like really goodfor you. I don't like chemically
good. I don't know. ButI got to hit her up. I've
been meaning to go back. Iliterally went there a couple months ago and
she's like, oh, come backin, and I haven't gone because I
just feel like I talk about itwhen it gets brought up, and a
lot of people hit me up aboutit, yeah, because they're like,
why do you do that? That'scrazy? Tell me why you sauna?

(11:15):
I fucking love it. Saunas aregreat too. I want to buy a
sauna bad. But you know,so I was thinking about maybe having him
on to kind of explain. Ithink that's not you know, it's not
a client or anything like that, but just to explain, like, how
why are these places so popular?I don't know, just an idea maybe
for next week. By the way, I think this is maybe for you.
Porn star Jesse Jane dead at fortythree. Jesse Jane died parent overdose

(11:41):
that with her boyfriend. Oh shit, I knew why I know this is
going to resonate with you. Well, she's in early shew. Where did
you see this TMZ? Four minutesago? I say, oh, remembering,
Oh my god, yeah she was. She was. Yeah, she
was a very popular porn style whenI was like when I was a teenager.

(12:01):
Okay, So not to make lightthe situation, but are you gonna
whack one off a question? Watchyour favorite with her in it? I
am not going to because I actuallydon't watch porn anymore. Whennie, Wow,
I haven't watched porn in a longtime. That's how you know,
you fucking no, that's how youknow that you made the mistake of watching

(12:24):
too much porn as a married personand realized the effect it had on your
sexual relationship. You know, Iwatched porn more just to like as like
entertainment. It's just like it's likenot not even just like, oh,
what are they doing over there? It's not even sexual? You know what
I mean? What are they doingthat? Poe? Come? I I
don't think she died recently. TMZjust posted it for me. I don't

(12:48):
see it anywhere, all right, let me go to let me go to
TMZ. Then if it's not evenon Wikipedia. All right, let me
go to TMZ. You know TMZhas everything I know. Okay, here
we go. Oh, yep, there it is dead after apparent od.
Wow, see we're just talking aboutBF. Okay, cops find her and
boyfriend during welfare check. So awell known porn star from the two thousands

(13:09):
has died alongside her boyfriend who alsopassed away, and it sounds like their
death is drug related. Yeah.Law enforcement sources tell us that the famed
adult film actress was found dead herhome in Moore, Oklahoma, where we're
told police responded to the residents ona welfare check and when they got there,
our sources say officers discovered both Jesseand her boyfriend, Brett Hes and

(13:31):
Moeller just ceased. Yeah. We'retold the welfare check request was actually replaced
by Brett's employer, who hadn't heardfrom in a few days. Yeah,
Jesse Jane was really big in theearly two thousands, and she was a
mainstream porn star as well. Sheactually had actually some mainstream roles. She
was in Entourage. I remember that. And wow, only forty three years

(13:52):
old. Jesse Jane rip rip Yeahhe can't you know, he can't drug
this man. They killing everybody thesedays. Wow. She's started a number
of well known adult films delt fromseries, including the Pirates flicks, notably
the sequel in Pirates Too, StagnantRevenge, which reportedly cost around eight million
dollars to make. A porno.Yeah, she was in the mainstream of

(14:16):
of porn. But wow, shedid Playboy. Yep. Yeah. If
you look up the stories of ofof porn stars that have died, it's
a lot of them. Well unfortunately, I hate to say it, but
then the porn scene and drugs gohand in hand a lot. She has
one son that's sad. Oh shehas a son by her son. Wow,

(14:37):
well alright, Jesse jng beautiful, feel so bad? Wow drugs,
bro, drugs. Hey, youknow what she should have done? Call
the power of recovery. She couldhave Maddie and damon Power of recovery,
just saying all right, that'll doit for us. Have a great weekend,
everybody. We will be back onMonday with another after show. I
like to leave the people with somesongs that I'm listening to a little thing

(14:58):
that I do. You know,I'm a Peloton user. Winnie and It's
really cool because you know, Idiscover new music on the pelotons. They
play their own playlist they do,so you know, you do hip hop
playlist DM or sometimes just a mix, and so it's always great when you
discover a new song. But notjust that, but on the peloton,
you know, you push yourself theentire class, but then you always end

(15:20):
on a bang, meaning you endthe hardest part of the rider is at
the end, the finish line, getting to the finish line. So it's
always great when they put a songthat hypes you up to get you across
the finish line. Does that makesense? So there's been a bunch like
that. This one was the otherday, and I've listened to a NonStop.
It's fantastic. The name of thesong is called Free. It's by

(15:43):
Pete Tong E D. M.Legend And I just want to get a
picture. Okay, can you relax? All right? All right, Winnie,
what do you think about fredless Fridaywhere we can slip into the weekend
on a positive note. That's allI'm saying. I actually loved the idea.
Okay, wellure picture yourself on abike on a peloton or whatever,

(16:06):
and you're nearing the finish line. You have like thirty seconds to go,
okay, and you're tired. You'vebeen pushing yourself all class hit workout.
You're sweating. The sweat is comingover your eyes and burning your eyes.
Okay, you put your head downto just sweat pouring off of you.
You just want to be done,You just want to be done. And
then this song comes on to carryyou home goodbye. Oh yeah, there

(16:38):
I am. Oh I'm pedalings, tired, sweating, Oh my god,
get me that. Now, myI got this. I'm not even tired
anymore. Let's go, keep goingup.
