Gary from Jersey Mike's Text messaged me at seven forty
four during our show. I missed the text. Here's what
it says. Good morning, Jay, and happy birthday. I know

last week was a busy week for you and the girls,
so I wanted to wait until you returned. Since today's
your birthday, I thought I would text you this morning.
For the month of March and day of Giving, Jersey
Mike's raised five hundred and forty thousand dollars for Jay's
Oh my god, over forty thousand dollars over a half

a million. Oh my God, Happy birthday and thank you
for everything you do.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
I think last year we raised four four hundred and
sixty seven thousand, almost one hundred thousand more. Gary said
to me on day of giving, he was like, I'm
really really hoping that we can get close to five
hundred thousand. We went forty grand over that big. It's
huge to all of you guys. Yeah, I mean we
saw it on social media. We saw all.

Yeah, there's all lines of for sure, we're at one spot.

I know that was overwhelming, but I also expected that
I expected. But what I didn't expect was every single
post right from.

People I don't even all day.

That's the only thing that I saw all day. Like sure,
I expected like three hundred people that, but every single
post was we went to Jersey mics and go to
Jersey Mikes and yeah, everybody, we are somebody brought it.

Know what, like, what a great what a great legacy
for us, right, I mean for going into the future.
I mean, no matter what happens in life, this program
will stay forever. It should it should because it will
never change. You're always going to have kids that are

there's always going to be a need for an escape,
so this should always stay forever. Yeah.

Jersey Mikes. You people making sandwiches and working register. They
were busy and that's who does all the work, and

and the teamwork. No one there looks like, oh why
am I here? Like that is an enthusiastic team, so

And I want to just say outside of day of giving,
just on a regular Jersey Mike state, because I'm in
mine on Carpenter and all the time I go into
these fast food restaurants or anywhere, right and they're like,
we don't we don't care, we don't have any help,
and we can't mop the bathroom floor, and just like
everyone just basically, and I'm like, Jersey Mike's doesn't have

any problem staffing never, So I'm just curious what it
is you're not doing because they have more people behind
the counter on any day.

Yeah.

That and they're all so kind.

to work. They're like the Apple Store. Yeah, they're in
the Apple store. Wait, how many employees are at the

people asking you if you're in the queue, and then
they send you to the person that handles the queue,
and then another person asks are you in the call?
IM think, yeah, you've got so many people at this
