Speaker 1 (00:01):
Qui Detroit w U s n X mosque and grown Rabbits.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Ro This is.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 4 (00:08):
Mojo, He's amazing live.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Mojo s Pike one.
Speaker 5 (00:24):
God, let me take you back to the beginning.
Speaker 6 (00:26):
This is it, alright, you ready, you're listening to Mojo
in the Morning.
Speaker 7 (00:30):
You're a dood head shoot time, holding deals and a
(01:26):
swing and I.
Speaker 8 (01:27):
Miss a strikeout to end it with an exclamation point.
The Tigers win Game three and they now lead to
one in this best of five divisions.
Speaker 6 (01:42):
You know the Tigers want again, really you.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Know, wow again? You know what, Sometimes magic is just happening,
and sometimes you got everybody in the world behind you,
including fate, and this could be one of those moments
for the Detroit Tigers and this young team that just
continued to keep on rolling. What a great win for
(02:09):
the Detroit Tigers yesterday, Good morning, it's Mojo in the Morning.
What what a day, What a vibe, what what a
what a energy in this city? And these are these
are the guys who literally I don't think that majority
of the world could name three Tigers. Probably at the
beginning of.
Speaker 9 (02:29):
The year, and I mean to think about it, we
talked about it, I think yesterday earlier this week. But
they came from a zero point two percent chance to
make the playoffs now to be a game away, wow,
from winning the divisional series, and like he just said
on the call, to win it in that fashion, what
a strikeout?
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Was just the person a mation point on the game.
Wait to say, so, what happened last night? Then? I
was I wanted to see the uh was there a
game for? Oh? Wow? I didn't realize this. The Philadelphia
Phillies are out of the playoffs. The Mets one last night,
the Mets one, four to one. They've moved on to
the National League Championship Series. The National League other divisional series,
(03:10):
the Dodgers tied up the series at two games apiece
against the the San Diego Padres. What about did the
Yankees play last night?
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:19):
They played Kansas City? Right?
Speaker 10 (03:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:22):
I was the Yankees one. That game is now Yankees' leader.
We could play the who knows, I'm not even gonna
say it. We'll play whoever, We'll play whoever. I remember,
I remember, and I don't know if a majority of
you guys do. I think you probably could because it
wasn't that long ago. I remember when we beat the
Yankees and what was a controversial series they had like
(03:42):
Jeter and a Rod and all these superstars and we
beat them to go to the American League Championship Series.
And that was obviously that was so cool. It was
just another one of those moments where Detroit sports are good.
Right now they're good. And oh, by the way, red
Wings are kicking off their season tonight. That was a
(04:04):
team that we just just missed the playoffs. And alex
To Brinkett is going to be on the Mojo in
the Morning show this morning, the Superstar, the all Star,
and he'll be he'll be calling into the show as
they get ready for a game tonight and they move
that game back. This is going to be crazy. If
you're somebody that goes to both of these games, you
got to be rich, because there's no way that you're
(04:25):
you're getting tickets to both Tigers started at six o
eight tonight, and then the they pushed the red Wings
game back so that they can hopefully get fans to
go to both of them. Uh, they've got the Red
Wings starting at eight o'clock tonight, so puck will drop
after eight o'clock tonight. Pretty cool signing, and then are
the Lions back home on in Dallas? Oh okay, all right,
(04:50):
well we got to have time for rest and cleaning
up the streets of Detroit over the weekend. So all right,
it's Mojo in the Morning. Good to have you guys here,
phone number eight four fur Mojoe Live eight four four
sixty six five six five four eight. Megan says that
she found something out. Was it yesterday you found it out?
Or yesterday she found something out yesterday? That she is
(05:13):
upset with all of us for not telling her. What's that?
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Megan, It's just like every day.
Speaker 11 (05:19):
And I know this sounds dramatic, but I want you
to know I mean this wholeheartedly. Like there's no drama
whatsoever to this. It's just accuracy. I have no respect
around here, not a drop of it, and none of
you have any decency to tell me that I am
not being treated the same.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
Oh where where as people who have had this role
before me.
Speaker 11 (05:42):
I just found out yesterday that every single person who
has had my job before I have had an office
at this building and I was not even offering an office.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
And explain the role. Because they show that's true. The
Morning Show is not just the role that you have.
But I think some people might be confused by what
they're saying here.
Speaker 11 (06:04):
I like to refer to myself as Tony's assistant. It's
an assistant, Juliary know, I'm not assistant program director. I'm
assistant to the program director that I've quickly learned that's
the role.
Speaker 12 (06:19):
Uh.
Speaker 11 (06:22):
But I've run a lot of things behind the scenes
around here. I do like a lot of management on
the station itself outside of the show. And I didn't
realize every single person who has had the job before
me had nothing.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Yeah, that's rude.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
I had with a couch. A couch I didn't know.
I'm so incredibly First of all, I would love to
be able to hide snacks from you a hole. That
would be amazing and.
Speaker 11 (06:48):
Quite frankly, I think there's cute design sections in Target
for offices. I want to buy the cute office stuff
like that is something I never thought I would have
the opportunity to do in my life.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
And I want to.
Speaker 11 (06:59):
Place the hide closed change into to go to the
gym when I'm down here.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
It would be really nice.
Speaker 11 (07:04):
But the fact that it wasn't even offered kind of why.
Speaker 13 (07:10):
Why I want to know. I want to ask Tony
or boss why.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
It's kind of crazy.
Speaker 13 (07:15):
G She didn't say, hey, that's your office right there.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Because it's always been.
Speaker 5 (07:21):
But there are.
Speaker 13 (07:23):
Empty offices in this building.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Sean lose his office before he left, and that's why
it happened. Or did Sean what happened?
Speaker 14 (07:29):
People started moving into his office before you lose gone.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Oh really, wake his ass up. I don't care what
he's not sleeping. He's got goats to feed.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
I didn't even know that was the office. Nobody's ever
in there.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Yeah, I'm on your side, man.
Speaker 9 (07:44):
I think like there are certain positions to where there
are benefits to the title and when work is stressful,
that's why you're at that level to where you get
an office and you're not able to distress if you
don't happen.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
You know, everyone who has my role in this building
has an office.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
Bob, that's crazy. I have an office.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Did you know that?
Speaker 15 (08:08):
You do?
Speaker 3 (08:09):
I have an office.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
You have an office.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
We have a show Actually, we have a show couch room.
That's what we have. We have no office. I'll be
quite honest with you. I am so excited the new
layouts of this building that I heard is putting together
for us does not come with any offices for anybody like.
I actually like that idea, and I know people don't
like it because I think that everybody should be equal,
(08:33):
except for obviously you know, Colleen and Tony and those guys.
But I think that it also gets people to stop
hiding behind doors and spend a little more time with everybody.
Hold on, wait, you'll go ahead. Yeah.
Speaker 11 (08:46):
As somebody who's been in one of the new offices
with an open setting, I will only say the only
hard part is when you have a meeting call like
that can get a little old.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
We have what's called in iHeart, they call them phone booths,
So they have these little phone booths that you can
go sit in there. Hold on a second, hair, Hello,
mister program director Tony Travado is on the show with us.
How are you terrible morning, Tony, Megan, You're going to
(09:14):
be shocked by this. Megan has a complaint this morning
that she would like to bring to your table here.
Speaker 12 (09:20):
I'm just wow.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
Yeah, I'm just don't ask me.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
I didn't do the schedule.
Speaker 11 (09:27):
I'm wondering why every person who's had the role that
I have before me had an office, and I was
never offered one.
Speaker 15 (09:39):
Well, you never asked for one. Number one, number two?
Speaker 16 (09:45):
What we're moving?
Speaker 4 (09:48):
I've been here.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
For a year.
Speaker 17 (09:50):
I didn't know when you want a job you had
to have a desk in a computer.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 13 (10:00):
I love that he's speechless.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Yeah. The only reason we called you boss is because
we know that you've got a farm that you've got
to go out there and tend to probably coming up here.
Speaker 13 (10:09):
So as Megan's friend, can, I ask if she's going
to get an office in the new building.
Speaker 10 (10:16):
There are this is this is an open space, so
there are no like have a one.
Speaker 15 (10:23):
Hundred offices in this building. In the new building, there's
like five offices.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Yeah, one hundred offices. And Meghan couldn't get one.
Speaker 15 (10:34):
Back.
Speaker 11 (10:35):
I found out that the office that was occupied by
the people be for me, just empty.
Speaker 18 (10:39):
Nobody's in it.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Oh, then take it. Then take it. We're not moving
till November the fifteenth. You can have an office for
thirty days.
Speaker 15 (10:48):
By the way, this is the first time Meghan has
ever said, Hey, I'm kind of like an office.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Why haven't you said anything, Megan?
Speaker 2 (10:55):
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
I would have assumed when I was brought into the role.
Speaker 11 (11:00):
If it was an option, it would have been And
this is where you'll be working.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Tony, the president of the Meghan mcfan Club. Donnie is
on the phone with us right now. Donnie, Good morning, Donnie.
Say hello to Tony Travato.
Speaker 12 (11:15):
Hello, sir, No, I'm Meghan's attorney.
Speaker 10 (11:22):
You could talk to me now.
Speaker 12 (11:25):
I'm just kidding. No, I think it's kind of funny
that Meghan's just now finding this out right before you
guys are moving. You gotta have demand, you gotta make
the list. She wants a big bag chair, she wants
to blow in the dark star stickers.
Speaker 19 (11:41):
He needs a blow up couch.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
A white noise machine in the corner.
Speaker 12 (11:45):
Make a list, man, Donnie.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
It is kind of funny that, just, you know, days
away from us moving out of here, that Meghan just
figured out, Wait a second, how did.
Speaker 20 (11:56):
I not have I'm a messed up for real?
Speaker 3 (11:58):
And she worked with prior people here like she worked
with the prior people that had that role. So hold on, Jamie,
what's up, Jamie?
Speaker 21 (12:07):
Yeah, yeah, Mojo. I was just saying, you know, inequality
can be terrible in the workplace. You know, it can
create kind of a mindset of just like a oh
am I words it to this company. So I get
where Meghan's coming from.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
So would you do us a favor? Would you stand
in protest for Meghan? And will you come down here
with a group of people and hold protest out in
front of Tony Trevado's office. He has an office with
a window facing the parking lot.
Speaker 21 (12:32):
Say lest I'll bring the picket, picket, you know, posters, fences, whatever.
Speaker 22 (12:36):
You name it.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Yeah, I think that would be great. Sean, what's up.
It's Mojo in the morning. We're talking this morning about
how Megan just found out that she was the only
person that has ever held the role that she has
of assistant to the program director.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 23 (12:53):
Yes, First of all, you already know this is Sean
the plemer. I'm the biggest fan of Meghan. Megan got
him begging. But anyway, you need to give her an
office boss, like right.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Now, Tony, you hear that. That's a demand from Sean
the Plumber. He will come down here with wrench and
beat you over the head with it.
Speaker 23 (13:19):
Man, you know what just out I don't I don't
promote violence. But at the same time, you modo, you
need to get it together. Man, you know she knows
she's a bomb.
Speaker 24 (13:30):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Listen, I am I am not the uh the the
head of this union. I am not a member of that.
I am a member of the union. I'm not the
head of the union. So I can't do anything other
than just to follow the lead of whoever the head is.
Speaker 23 (13:44):
So well, look, yeah, you need to get her together.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
By the way, you are so right when you say
Megan's got him begging, because that's what is pretty much
going on right now. So we're begging for an office for.
Speaker 23 (13:55):
Her, which is funny because I don't know I should
be president of the bank club, to be president of
the fan club.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
Okay, deal, you're initiated, it's yours.
Speaker 11 (14:04):
It's a club club one.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
I don't even want the office.
Speaker 11 (14:10):
I don't want to be responsible for cleaning more spaces
in my life.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
I just wanted the offer.
Speaker 25 (14:15):
But I know you.
Speaker 23 (14:16):
I know you a cancer and cancer and jominis get
along very good. But at the same time, I know
that you don't know all that responsibility. I really know
you don't.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Somebody just text me some inside gossip here that says
that Jay Towers took over Meghan's office?
Speaker 26 (14:34):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Did you did you choose Jay Towers over Meghan? Tony?
Tony Travado? Is he still on with us? Tony? Did
I lose? Tony? There you are? What did you just do? Oh? Yeah,
you don't want to wake up? Oh no, you were
right there. It's called bad phone systems. We don't even
have good phone systems. But we will find an office. Okay,
(14:58):
is it true that Jay Towers has that office?
Speaker 27 (15:01):
Jay did not have that office.
Speaker 6 (15:03):
No, who's he had the office?
Speaker 15 (15:05):
Actually had Nick NAB's office.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Oh, Jay lost his office too.
Speaker 11 (15:10):
But Jay, who didn't even work in this building, had
an office.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
And I don't have an office.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Hope, Tony's phones either. This is the bat by.
Speaker 13 (15:24):
The way, Oh, this is selective hearing.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
This can't be honest with you. I think that's the
smartest thing ever. If I'm ever on with somebody and
I don't want to say what I really want to say,
I'm going to pause my phone and make it sound
like our system is bad because it will pass for
that too.
Speaker 6 (15:38):
Sorry, I lost you.
Speaker 15 (15:40):
That's all right, all right, all right, so he's trying
to find all right, we'll in our office.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
We'll talk to you later. Actually, can I tell you
what I think we do?
Speaker 1 (15:53):
No, this is what we do.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
I think you got to do it like the Movie Office.
The Movie Office said, you have my office. If anybody
has ever seen the movie Office space, you're the Milton
of this this. Oh, don't be Milton. You need you
put her in the basement. She's got to go down
to the basement for her office.
Speaker 15 (16:11):
Make sure you get a red stapler.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
That's right exactly, isn't there, by the way, a million
and one offices in this building somewhere that we can
actually just grab one. I walk in every day and
it looks this place looks like the Walking Dead. Sometimes
when I walk here, it is creepy. I had a
raccoon that almost ate me this morning when I was
pulling up in front of the place. All right, we'll
talk to you later, Tony.
Speaker 8 (16:30):
He actually has.
Speaker 6 (16:35):
Moo in the mornings back in the day, back in
the day stuff.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
All right. This was the year. Oh wow, I totally
forgot they were together. But yeah, this was the year
that the San Antonio Spurs superstar Tony Parker and actress
Eva Longoria got a divorced after three years of marriage.
Speaker 26 (16:53):
It was disappointing because I had such an identity in
being missus Parker and being a.
Speaker 13 (16:58):
Wife and so and that's taken away from you.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
You go, who am I?
Speaker 28 (17:03):
And it was hard.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
The change up starring Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds came
out and live.
Speaker 29 (17:11):
In a dream having children. It's like it's living with
little mini drug addage. You know, they're laughing one minute
and then they're crying the next, and then they're trying
to kill themselves in your bathroom for no good reason.
They're very mean and selfish, and they burn through your
money and they break.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
Guy. Come on, and this is for tickets to see her. Hey,
you had the big song on the radio with raise
your glass? Win tickets? Now what year was it? Good luck?
Speaker 6 (17:44):
Call us and tell us what year that stuff happened?
Eight four four Mojo.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Live eight four four six sixty five six five four eight.
Speaker 6 (17:54):
It's Mojo in the mornings back in the day. What
year was this?
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Three clues from year? What year was it? Tony Parker
and Eva Longoria divorce.
Speaker 26 (18:03):
It was disappointing because I had such an identity in
being missus Parker and being a wife, and so when
that's taken away from you?
Speaker 13 (18:11):
You go, who am I?
Speaker 3 (18:13):
And it was hard? The Change Up, starring Jason Bateman
and Ryan Reynolds, came out.
Speaker 29 (18:20):
Dream having children. It's like it's living with a little
mini drug addage. You know, they're laughing one minute and
then they're crying the next, and then they're trying to
kill themselves in your bathroom for no good reason. They're
very mean and selfish, and they burn through your money
and they break I.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Love Jason Bateman and big song from the artists that
we're giving away tickets to right now, Alyssa. You could
win tickets to see Pink perform that live on October fifteenth,
The Little Caesars. You just got to give us the year?
Speaker 30 (18:49):
Was it New eleven?
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Give her the tickets? Congratulates you got the tickets. What
was it they gave it away?
Speaker 17 (18:58):
It was a big song.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
I love it. Raise yo Glass. We're setting you up.
We're setting you up with tickets. Congratulations. I want you
to hang on the phone for just a second.
Speaker 10 (19:07):
Okay, okay, all right?
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Will you sing? It is the Greenies?
Speaker 31 (19:12):
You like it?
Speaker 3 (19:13):
I don't necessarily sing. I kind of just talk it out.
You don't care about Ton.
Speaker 23 (19:21):
Cab.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
We got tickets to go to jingle Ball. You want
to hear you sing like that, I'll let you sit
next to me at the jingle Ball eight four four

NCT Dreams, good Luck.
Speaker 6 (19:52):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
I just did that, and that's for that's for one
of the dirty stories. I put it in the wrong spot.
Time for the Dirty.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
Morning is Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
All right, Shannon with a Dirty thirty. Devastation down in Florida.
I just read a second ago that they believe that
the costs of the damage that was done throughout Florida
will equal Hurricane Katrina's costs of what Hurricane Katrina did
(20:23):
to New Orleans and to Louisiana. Just a crazy statistics
that just came out there, and I'm just hoping that
it's just you know, buildings that fell down and problems
with flooding, and it's not lives that were lost.
Speaker 13 (20:37):
Well, let me give you a little bit of an
update here. Hurricane Milton made landfall yesterday along Florida's Gulf
Coast as a Category three storm with maximum sustained winds
of one hundred and twenty miles per hour when it
came ashore and cs to Key. That was around eight
o'clock last night. More than three point four million people
in Florida waking up this morning without power. This is
(20:58):
Florida Governor Ronde Santas.
Speaker 32 (21:00):
There's already been one hundred and sixteen tornado warnings, with
nineteen confirmed touchdowns throughout the state, nine flash flood warnings,
and four additional flood watches, with many many more to come.
Speaker 13 (21:13):
The dome, the roof of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball
stadium where first responders are sheltering, was totally torn off,
which I was just watching some videos of that. Crazy
to see. Authorities confirmed multiple tornadoes hit St. Lucy County, Florida,
with multiple fatalities. Milton has since been downgraded to a
Category one hurricane, which is still very very very dangerous
(21:36):
as it travels up the coast.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
Yeah, texting with my son Joe. They are safe. We're
trying to figure out how everything is for his producer
Terry who he talked about how her family or parents
are not well and they tried to bunker down at home.
Their area where they live got hit hard by a
lot of that surge. So we're going to keep you
(21:58):
updated on that, and we'll keep you updated on some
efforts that we're going to do to try to help
out the Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton families that were
victim to the horrible devastation of these hurricanes.
Speaker 13 (22:11):
Jennifer Lopez breaking her silence about her divorce to Ben Affleck.
Comedian Nikki Glazer chats with j Lo for an interview
with Interview magazine. She looks right on the cover, by
the way, but they touched on her new film Unstoppable,
her quest to prove her quote unquote enoughness and being
good all by herself, and she said in the interview,
my whole life has been proving my enoughness, something she
(22:34):
felt she lacked from being a middle child, being ignored,
having a very outgoing mom and dad who worked all
day and night, and just they made her feel like
she wasn't important, like she wasn't a priority. And she said,
you don't even really know until those things start manifesting
in your adult relationships. Jennifer said she thought she had
learned the lesson about what it took to complete herself.
(22:57):
She thought she was complete this point in her life,
but over the summer she realized post divorce, she needed
to go off and be on her own. She needed
to prove to herself that she could do it. And
she said in the magazine, being alone feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary,
It feels sad, desperate. But when you sit on those
(23:17):
feelings and go these things aren't going to kill me.
It's actually like I am capable of duay and happiness
all by myself.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
She said.
Speaker 13 (23:24):
Being in a relationship does not define her. And she
said she does not regret all of the pain that
she went through, not for one second. She said, actually
she thinks she needed it at this point in her life.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
And she had a movie called and that was Fire.
I'm just throwing that out here.
Speaker 13 (23:44):
I'll put that on my list, Cat, thank you did.
And lastly, New York Teed's quarterback Aaron Rodgers talking to
Pat McAfee about head coach Robert is Salad getting fired
this week. He claims despite the rumors he was not
involved whatsoever are with his firing.
Speaker 33 (24:01):
I'm not going to spend more than one sentence in
response to it, and that is that I resent any
of those accusations because they're patently false. And it's interesting
the amount of power that people think that I have,
which I don't.
Speaker 13 (24:19):
Cav With that laugh, you sound like you believe him.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
No, I think he's full of crap. Did you hear
him also go on to say that he feels for
the family of the sala talked about how he had
a close relationship with Salah's son, and then demanded that
nobody make fun of Robert Salas' kid in school because
he said that he believes that Jets fans will do that.
Speaker 33 (24:44):
Understand good football coach. He's also a family man. He's
got seven kids, he's got an incredible wife, and the
business of football can be hard, not just on those
of us who are playing and coaching and doing personnel
things and ownership obviously, but it's tough in the families.
And I've got to know Roberts family over the last
(25:07):
couple of years, and especially one of his kids, Adam Adams,
my little throwing buddy from training camp. Love Adam. He's
an incredible, incredible kid, and you know, so I'm thinking
there's obviously a lot of emotions, but you think about
the family and the kids as much as you know
the people you love your own family. Who's the coaching
(25:28):
staff and the players and what they're all going through. So,
you know, anybody who's kind up championing this decision, I
would just appeal to the humanity of the situation and
and and remind you there's other people involved. And Adam
hasked to go to school today, you know, possibly this week,
(25:49):
and hopefully there's no you know, kids with poor parents
who are making schneid side comments to him.
Speaker 13 (25:59):
Yeah, I do love that they said that. Indeed, whether
you like Aaron Rodgers or not, all right, for all
of today, you sturtay to catch up on the podcast
on the free iHeartRadio app or Mojo in the Morning dot.
Speaker 6 (26:07):
Com Goer's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the Dirty,
It's Mojo in the Mornings five. It's six fifty five.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
Five and six fifty five y five, six fifty five,
all right.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
It is timed out for the five at six fifty five.
It is our daily test of your knowledge of what
the hell is going on in this world?
Speaker 26 (26:34):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (26:35):
It is reigning champion Jill going for her third win
in a row, taking Good morning, taking on Danielle, who
is from Warren and in the process of dropping her
daughter off at school. What time does school start that
you're dropping her off this early school? Oh my gosh, wow,
(26:59):
I go, oh geez oh. So most of you guys
have to do this. So you guys are our moms
playing the five of six fifty five and keeping everybody
on time for school? What's more important making sure your
kids get there early or winning this contest?
Speaker 34 (27:17):
Contest?
Speaker 1 (27:18):
I like that too.
Speaker 3 (27:20):
All right, we see how Danielle can fare against Jill.

luck to both of you, guys. Danielle. There are five questions.
Whoever gets the most right wins. I always goes to

the wake of all the Diddy allegations, What is Justin's

Feds leaked that horrific hotel video of him punching and
kicking his ex girlfriend.

Who is she?
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Question number four? The Detroit Tigers shout out the Guardians

The Bar Song remained the top song on the Billboard
Hot one hundred charts.
Speaker 6 (29:01):
Who is he.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
The Bar?
Speaker 3 (29:14):
We'll pass in that one. Let's go?
Speaker 13 (29:16):
Danielle used to got three out of five respect to
slow down at the end.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
So Jilly, you gotta be three out of five Joe okay?
Question number one. Actor, TV host and radio superstar Mario
Lopez played a c slater on which iconic TV series
opposite Tiffany Amber Theson and Mark There You Go one?
Question number two. Justin Bieber is reportedly in a really
(29:44):
bad place in the wake of all the Diddy allegations.
What's Justin's Wife's name?
Speaker 34 (29:50):
Haley Baldwin.
Speaker 13 (29:52):
Sure, we actually don't know she legally, well, we're just
calling her Haley Beaver. You know what, We'll accept that
I actually was just looking for Haley.
Speaker 35 (30:05):
So okay.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
Danielle, by the way, she's like, I will come down
and fight for this one question number question number three.
Speaking of Diddy, he and his legal team are now
implying that the FEDS leaked that horrific hotel video of
him punching and kicking his ex girlfriend.
Speaker 6 (30:22):
Who is she?
Speaker 34 (30:25):
Kathy?
Speaker 8 (30:26):
Three?
Speaker 10 (30:27):
Three?
Speaker 3 (30:28):
Tied it up? Clean win if you get one of
these next two right. These are the ones that Danielle missed.
The Detroit Tigers shut out the Guardians yesterday for a
two to one lead in the A l DS. What
does a l DS stand for?
Speaker 20 (30:47):
American Divisional.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Championship three close though American League Division Series, and for
a clean win. Get this one right. This music superstar
and his song A Bar Song remain at the top
of the Billboard Hot one hundred charts. Who is he? Yes,
(31:15):
She's won her third in a row.
Speaker 9 (31:17):
Dan yell yo, I'm gonna have Szi's name in my
head all day.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
Shout out. By the way, both of you guys to
your kids. We've not heard Jill shout out her, so
we will let you start. Jill, who are your kids?
Speaker 20 (31:34):
My daughter's name is Lily.
Speaker 6 (31:35):
She actually wants to say Hi, Hi, Hi.
Speaker 10 (31:39):
How are you.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Nice to have you on?
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Dan?
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Yelle shout out yours.
Speaker 34 (31:47):
My daughter's name is Gabby, Gabrielle.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
Gabriel Is she right there? Can we say hi to
her too? Hey? What's up? Gabby?
Speaker 35 (31:57):
I gave her the opportunity to miss school to because
they get out at ten thirty and she wanted.
Speaker 36 (32:01):
To go, so she was scholars.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Wow, that's amazing. Wait, they go to school from seven
to fifteen to ten thirty. That's it. That is a
half a day.
Speaker 20 (32:11):
It's crazy, right, that is nuts.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
It's kind of like why even bother you know exactly,
just to make mom have to wake up to listen
to Mojo in the morning. We appreciate that. All right,
We're gonna set you up with some partying gifts. Glenn
Loore Trails in Commerce Township. You got tickets to that
Glenlare's Trail dot com. Shannon, you'll be there tonight.
Speaker 13 (32:30):
Yeah, just hanging out with Lucent Smith.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
That's cool. So if you go out and you're hanging out.
Tonight will be perfect night. Actually, temperatures will be like
really nice sixty to fifty degrees, like right around that range.
Speaker 6 (32:39):
It's Mojo in the Morning's five is six fifty five
five five catching cheeters. I'm proud of it. Oh, I'm sorry,
get your home for Woar of the roses n.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Mojo in the morning, Melinda, Yeah, not the normal were
the roses that we have? But Melinda is suspicious that
some one is cheating. And who is it that you're suspicious?
Is the cheater.
Speaker 36 (33:05):
My dad?
Speaker 3 (33:07):
You think that your dad is cheating on your mom?
Speaker 36 (33:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (33:13):
And first off, can I ask questions? How old are you?
Speaker 36 (33:17):
I'm twenty seven, okay.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
Because I don't know if I would do this if
you were somebody that wasn't your own adult, you know
what I mean, like in the situation.
Speaker 13 (33:28):
But and what's giving me the feeling that he's cheating?
Speaker 36 (33:32):
I saw somebody on a ring camera more than once,
Like this woman. I've seen her a couple of times
and I don't think it's.
Speaker 28 (33:41):
A delivery person.
Speaker 13 (33:43):
So what is she doing on the camera?
Speaker 36 (33:47):
I see her walking down our driveway?
Speaker 3 (33:51):
And who's is your dad home? When she's on your
ring camera.
Speaker 36 (33:56):
I mean I'm assuming he is. I mean, I know
my mom's not there, so this.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
Is at times that your mom's not home. You see
a woman that's coming.
Speaker 36 (34:04):
To your house, Yeah, it's one of my mom's at work.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Have you run this by your mom and talk to
your mom about it?
Speaker 37 (34:13):
No?
Speaker 19 (34:14):
I talk to my dad and he just like blew
it off.
Speaker 3 (34:19):
How did your dad react when you asked him about it?
Speaker 36 (34:22):
He totally blew me off, But normally like he would
kind of look into it, like it's unlike him to
be so.
Speaker 28 (34:33):
Weird about it.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
You doing this is going to get yourself in the
middle of a situation with your parents where your dad's
going to feel like you don't trust him. Are you
okay with wanting to do that to your relationship?
Speaker 36 (34:51):
Yeah, because I don't want him doing that to my mom.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
Okay? And you not going to your mom? Do you
think she will be okay with you doing this and
making it so public?
Speaker 13 (35:02):
That's what I'm worried about.
Speaker 36 (35:04):
Well, I just wanted to be sure I was right
before I told her.
Speaker 10 (35:08):
I get that.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
All right, We're going to call to see where he's
going to send a dozen free roses. And what's your
mom's first name.
Speaker 36 (35:19):
My mom's name is Stina.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
We're hoping that the flowers go to Stina, who is
Melinda's mom, to war the roses.
Speaker 13 (35:42):
Hello, Hi, is this James.
Speaker 27 (35:46):
That's Jersey's Hi.
Speaker 13 (35:48):
J My name is Nicole. I'm actually calling you from
a brand new online floral company called roses bloom dot com.
I'm calling with an offer for some free flowers. Do
you have like thirty seconds to answer some survey questions
in exchange for a dozen long stemmed red roses. We're
a new business, just trying to get our name out
there and totally free. You'll it'll take you less than
(36:10):
a minute if I can ask you the questions right now,
real quick.
Speaker 20 (36:13):
And it's free flowers, free free, like there's no catch here.
Speaker 27 (36:18):
I don't have to give your credit card or anything
like that.
Speaker 13 (36:21):
No, nothing like that. All right, Okay? Have you purchased
flowers in the last six months?
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Jay?
Speaker 12 (36:29):
No?
Speaker 13 (36:30):
Do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?
Speaker 27 (36:34):
Probably?
Speaker 13 (36:35):
Okay. As I thank you for participating in that rosesloom
dot com survey, I'm now authorized to provide you with
that dozen long stemmed red roses like I was talking about,
and so I'm going to.
Speaker 3 (36:46):
Go ahead, and it was that's crazy.
Speaker 13 (36:50):
We honestly buy lists from other companies that you purchased.
Speaker 10 (36:56):
Yep.
Speaker 13 (36:56):
Yeah, So these flowers can go out today, learn out
here in just a couple of hours this afternoon. So
I just need a first in the last name of
who you want these to go to. And they can
go anywhere in the country by the way, all right,
So I'd.
Speaker 27 (37:09):
Like to send them to the Sherry. Her name is
Sherry Cherry.
Speaker 13 (37:14):
Okay. What's Cherry's last name?
Speaker 28 (37:20):
Okay?
Speaker 13 (37:21):
And what is her phone number?
Speaker 27 (37:25):
My phone number?
Speaker 13 (37:26):
Nope, Cherry's phone number. Do you have Cheery's phone number?
Speaker 27 (37:30):
Two four eight mm hm.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 28 (37:36):
Okay.
Speaker 13 (37:36):
And what is her relationship to you?
Speaker 27 (37:42):
We're just a very good friend, okay.
Speaker 13 (37:46):
And just confirming a dozen long stem red roses is okay?
Speaker 27 (37:50):
Yes, I'd be perfect, okay, uh jay I.
Speaker 13 (37:54):
Also, I'm gonna fill you in on something unique that
we do at roses blue dot com. We offer a
voice card instead of a paper card. So what's going
to happen is Sari is going to get a text
message alerting her that she has a flower delivery and
then she's also going to get this voice note that
I'm going to record here with you in just a second.
So anything that you would say in a card, it
(38:14):
could actually be a little bit longer than that. Feel
free to say in this voice note. Okay, all right,
here we go, JA three two one.
Speaker 27 (38:26):
I hope these flowers are its beautiful as you are.
Speaker 10 (38:31):
Is that it.
Speaker 27 (38:33):
Sure?
Speaker 10 (38:34):
Okay?
Speaker 13 (38:35):
I also have to let you know the Jay that
this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes.
Are you okay with that?
Speaker 38 (38:42):
Oh?
Speaker 27 (38:42):
Yes, I have fobution.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Okay, Jay, I'm going to jump on just to wrap
up the call. Okay, I want to let you know
just a couple last things and then we'll send those
flowers off. One of the last things is that Jay,
while we've been talking to you and you've been saying flowers,
your daughter has been listening into this call. Oh and
(39:14):
Melinda just heard you send flowers to a woman that
was not her mom. Linda, do you know do you
know this woman? No, this is not somebody that you've
(39:34):
ever heard her name at all. No, And obviously we're
assuming that this is the same woman that is seen
on your camera. I want you to do me a favor.
I want you to hang on the phone for just
one second.
Speaker 6 (39:52):
Okay, okay, this is the Home Most in the Morning.
I don't miss this.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
When we come back here next. Melinda's mom joins the
Mojo in the Morning show and reaction to this war
of the roses. We'll be right back. Don't go anywhere.
Speaker 6 (40:16):
Joined the discussion now eight four four Mojo Live. This
is Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
While we uh were trying to figure out how to
get Melinda's dad back on the phone, Melinda ended up
calling her mom to explain to her what had just happened.
And her mom is on the phone with us right now,
we cannot get her dad back on. Stina. Are you there, Hi,
(40:55):
I'm here. Hello, Hi Stina, It's Mojo in the Morning,
Mojo and Shannon and Megan and keV and everybody else here.
Speaker 13 (41:05):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
And I.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
Appreciate you for talking to us, But you were just
having a conversation with Melinda about what we just did,
and we wanted to kind of just get from you
you to tell us what you just told us a
second ago when we weren't able to uh to record you.
Speaker 28 (41:33):
Oh well, Linda, I just think you.
Speaker 27 (41:41):
Just ignore itt, just.
Speaker 3 (41:45):
Ignore that she found out that her dad's sending flowers
to another woman.
Speaker 28 (41:52):
There's something I can do about it. It's not like
it's the first time.
Speaker 13 (41:57):
Were you aware that this was like currently happening.
Speaker 28 (42:03):
Not specifically, but you know, I just it's like I said,
this has happened before, as you know, so I think
there's nothing to be done about it.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
I'm kind of shocked because you don't sound that upset
about this.
Speaker 28 (42:24):
Well, you know, when it first happened, it almost broke me.
But then I think you just have to, you know,
make your decisions. So there's nothing I mean, look, he's
a good dad to you. I think that's what you
should focus on.
Speaker 3 (42:39):
So this has been something that has been an ongoing
thing that he's done in where he's had other women
in his life.
Speaker 28 (42:50):
Oh yeah, yeah, I mean Linda, you know that. I'm
sure you remember. So yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:59):
I mean it's.
Speaker 28 (43:02):
I think initially it was like, Okay, what am I
going to do?
Speaker 2 (43:04):
And then.
Speaker 28 (43:07):
You just sort of make your bed.
Speaker 13 (43:09):
You know, do you know who this particular woman is?
Speaker 24 (43:14):
No?
Speaker 28 (43:14):
I I don't want to know.
Speaker 20 (43:16):
I don't want to know.
Speaker 6 (43:17):
I don't know, Melinda, how you doing?
Speaker 36 (43:23):
I just like, don't understand why you're putting up with this?
Speaker 28 (43:33):
Well, you know, I mean we got married when I
was younger than you. Think about that, and you know
it's sweep been together a long time and it's uh,
you know, I mean I think you just take the
person for who they.
Speaker 39 (43:51):
Are and move on.
Speaker 9 (43:53):
You know, I'm trying to understand this and maybe you
can help me. Since you got hasn't been together so long,
you don't even see this as cheating on the relationship.
Speaker 20 (44:04):
This is I wouldn't go that far.
Speaker 34 (44:10):
I would not say that it's it's.
Speaker 28 (44:14):
I wouldn't. I wouldn't wish this for you know, Melinda,
But it's what it is, and you know, I think
you just I guess I try to focus on the
positive parts of you know, I think relationships are complicated.
Speaker 11 (44:31):
Are you worried about what you're telling Melinda when you
stay with him when he does this and now she
knows about it?
Speaker 27 (44:41):
Oh mean question?
Speaker 28 (44:49):
Yes, I don't know. I would I would wish differently
for her, but you know she'll have to see.
Speaker 19 (44:56):
You know, life is.
Speaker 28 (44:59):
You know, relationships are not easy. They just are complicated.
Speaker 13 (45:04):
But does it change things for you now that she
is aware because I'm guessing that the reason you stayed
was for her, and now that she is aware, I.
Speaker 28 (45:17):
Guess I would.
Speaker 27 (45:19):
I guess. I don't know.
Speaker 28 (45:21):
Maybe after this conversation I'll think about this more, but
I mean, this is just how it's always.
Speaker 34 (45:28):
Been, so.
Speaker 28 (45:30):
It's hard for me to imagine. It's like starting over
and thinking may be different.
Speaker 37 (45:35):
With someone else.
Speaker 27 (45:35):
I guess.
Speaker 3 (45:36):
Welinda, I'm going to take a lot of this and
let you guys talk to each other so that we're
not getting all your family's business out here. But if
there was an opportunity to be able to talk to
your dad right now and say something to your dad,
what would you say to him?
Speaker 36 (45:58):
I'll just turn. I'm really disappointed because he always says
I should be with somebody who's amazing to me, and
I can't believe you not like that was my mom?
Speaker 19 (46:12):
Yeah, well that makes me cryet me.
Speaker 34 (46:17):
You should be with someone who.
Speaker 36 (46:22):
Well, I guess I just think you deserve that too.
Speaker 28 (46:23):
Mom. Well that's nice to hear.
Speaker 3 (46:30):
I'm gonna let you guys have your time with each other. Okay, yeah,
all right, hold on one second. Mojoe in the morning, Amanda, Hi.
Speaker 34 (46:43):
Hello, first time long time.
Speaker 27 (46:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:49):
Yeah, By the way, it's so weird to do a
first time long time after them crying, So I feel
weird about it. So but you definitely deserve your first
time long time.
Speaker 6 (46:57):
Go ahead, go ahead.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
Do you end up comment on this?
Speaker 34 (47:00):
Yeah, I really feel like the mom is just in denial,
and oh my goodness, it just breaks my heart for
that daughter.
Speaker 3 (47:10):
Very sad that she hears this this way. And a
lot of people were upset that we did this. There
was a lot of people that thought that, you know,
even though she's you know, a grown adult woman, that
she should stay out of her mom's business.
Speaker 40 (47:26):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 3 (47:28):
And I think, honestly, somebody needs to be there for
the mom because you're right. I think the mom is
in a little bit of denial.
Speaker 34 (47:34):
Oh yeah, she needs all the support she can get.
One percent. And I don't think there's anything wrong with
the daughter. I have two myself, and oh, just like
it's just crazy. But I'm glad that she did this,
and you know, shame on him, and I just hope
(47:54):
the boy has spelled there her mom actually gets a
grip of this and actually realize that it's wrong.
Speaker 3 (48:02):
Yeah, it's not good for your daughter to see how
you're living this life right now, you wouldn't want her
to do the same initial A wants to be voice disguised?
Why is that initial a?
Speaker 25 (48:13):
Hi?
Speaker 41 (48:15):
Just because I'm going to do theact same thing, and
I kind of just don't want my business everywhere since
Are you.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
The daughter or the mom in the situation?
Speaker 9 (48:24):
I'm the mom.
Speaker 3 (48:25):
Okay, so you're the mom that is trying to protect
your kids from the infidelity that's going on in your relationship.
Speaker 18 (48:34):
Yes, you know, and I know what.
Speaker 41 (48:36):
People listening probably think. It's absolutely insane. You know, it's
the last few years said and done just to weave.
Especially my children are involved. When you have a history
with the person, you know, you try to give them
the benefit of the doubt that you know things are
going to change, that you know they truly love you
(48:57):
and they have their own issues to work out.
Speaker 24 (48:59):
You know.
Speaker 13 (49:00):
Do you think your kids are aware? Do you think
they have any idea?
Speaker 38 (49:04):
No, my kids are young, okay.
Speaker 41 (49:06):
So they yeah, so they don't have any idea yet,
you know. But I do have a daughter and it
is something that I struggle with, you know, because you know,
like Stina said, I don't wish this on my daughter.
At all help and oh my son ends up being
a better person to do.
Speaker 3 (49:24):
How long have you been aware.
Speaker 41 (49:28):
This has been going on for.
Speaker 9 (49:31):
Years and with the same person, with one person, or
with multiple people, multiple people.
Speaker 41 (49:39):
It has been me occurring with some of the same people.
Speaker 23 (49:41):
Though.
Speaker 3 (49:42):
Wow, well you said the kids are young, they don't
know about this, hearing this and what you know, Uh,
Melinda's going through with her mom Stina, What do you
think that does for you? Does that make you think,
oh boy, I didn't what was that? What does that
make you think? Does it make you think, like, hey,
(50:03):
this might be my inspiration to get out of this situation.
Speaker 41 (50:09):
I mean yes, to know, like, like I said, you know,
it's yeah, I kind of feel the same way answer.
Speaker 4 (50:15):
You know, it is what it is.
Speaker 41 (50:18):
You know, I feel like I'm who faced it at
this point, and you know, but like I said, you know, yeah,
it is kind of inspiring to know that other people
are going to the same thing, and you know, maybe
one day it will change, Maybe one day I will
have that courage.
Speaker 13 (50:34):
And you know, it does for you. I really hope
it does for you.
Speaker 3 (50:37):
We all hope the best for you. Mojio of the Morning, Erica, Hi, Erica.
Speaker 6 (50:43):
Hi, good morning, Good morning boy.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
Right, you were one of our first people that called
in to us here about this. Explain your situation.
Speaker 10 (50:52):
So, when I was about sixteen seventeen years old, I
actually received a text message from my dad that said
I love you blah blah blah, which was his girlfriend
at the time. My parents were married, so I did
tell my mom like, hey, I think bad's cheating. I
received this text message and she was like, I kind
(51:14):
of assumed, and it ended up being our uniform delivery
girl wow for our family's business.
Speaker 35 (51:22):
So she was well aware.
Speaker 10 (51:24):
My dad was married for many years and it ended
up leading to their divorce.
Speaker 24 (51:30):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (51:31):
What did your dad do when he found out that
you saw that text message and knew that he.
Speaker 6 (51:35):
Was a cheater?
Speaker 10 (51:37):
He definitely was not happy. We had a very rocky
relationship for quite a few years throughout college. Is when
I finally, you know, we grew back together and we're
pretty close now. But he is still dating the same girl.
Speaker 1 (51:52):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (51:53):
It's interesting. You know, you talk about how you had
a rocky relationship, you would think that he'd be doing
everything he can to kiss your ass to make sure
that he didn't lose you. As a daughter or did
he blame you?
Speaker 10 (52:05):
I don't think he necessarily blamed me. But he also
left me to watch my younger brother so he can
go out with her all the time.
Speaker 15 (52:14):
After the divorce, Oh wow.
Speaker 10 (52:16):
How about well, there is a lot of times like
he wouldn't come home. I have a younger brother from
his other previous affair that my mom stayed with him,
Oh wow, And he would be out partying and stuff
like that with the new girlfriend. So was very rocky
until I moved out at nineteen.
Speaker 3 (52:33):
How about this as the daughter and when Melinda's mom said,
I want better for you as a daughter. Does this
make you look at guys a little differently knowing that
what your dad did, or does it make you look
for guys differently when you're looking for a guy that
you want to be with.
Speaker 10 (52:53):
It definitely made it very hard to trust anyone for
many years. But luckily I got a man now all
that I'm married to, happily married for the last three years,
and I can trust him fully.
Speaker 19 (53:04):
But there's still those doubts because.
Speaker 37 (53:06):
Really, you know, I look.
Speaker 10 (53:08):
At my dad and I'm like, he would never be
the guy who did you know would do that? He
was a great father, still is a great father, but
he just yeah, wasn't a good spouse.
Speaker 3 (53:16):
Yeah, amazing phone call. Thank you for calling. I think
that will help a lot of people, and especially Melinda. Jenny,
what was your comment?
Speaker 30 (53:27):
Her is just broken for the mom and the daughter.
My ex husband was cheating on me. This is like
eight years ago now, and my daughter found out from
her busty. Her busty was friends with my ex's my
ex her sorry, her father. So he had a picture
on his phone and she saw it and snapped a
picture and showed it to my daughter. So I can
(53:49):
only imagine how that daughter's just feeling her dad lied
to her. You know, it's not only the cheating on
the mom. You know it's awful.
Speaker 3 (53:58):
Yeah, well, they're really relationship will.
Speaker 30 (54:00):
Never be the same, no, never, And my daughter to
this day doesn't trust her father anymore. Like she's like, no,
he told me how important family was, family first, this
step and the other.
Speaker 20 (54:12):
He was stripped on.
Speaker 30 (54:13):
Her about dating, and she just to this day is
just like, no, that's just not Everything you taught me
is just out.
Speaker 36 (54:20):
The window now.
Speaker 1 (54:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (54:22):
Crazy, uh crazy, crazy crazy. A lot of people dealing
with us. I'm still amazed to see that there are
people that are upset that the daughter's getting involved in
this relationship, like saying that the daughter has no business
to be involved in her parents' relationship. I don't understand
that point of view. It's obviously there. It's her family, right,
(54:43):
She's trying to protect her mom and sometimes as a child,
you become the protector for your parent. Were the roses
the whole? But the second date update.
Speaker 6 (54:54):
Is more Joe in the morning Morning's Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 3 (55:02):
All right, Shannon, what do you got in this hour's
Dirty and thirty West trend name?
Speaker 6 (55:05):
Oh this dog?
Speaker 13 (55:06):
The viral hurricane dog Emojo. You and I were texting
about it before the show started. It just broke my heart.
When West tried to show me the video in Bud
last night, I couldn't even watch it. So if you
saw the video or photos of the dog chained to
a fence in rising floodwater off of a highway in
Tampa yesterday as Hurricane Milton approached, he is safe. He
(55:29):
is okay. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol rescued the
abandoned bull terrier dog and Florida Governor Ronda Stantez promised
to hold any pet abusers in the wake of this
hurricane accountable.
Speaker 32 (55:41):
I mean, first of all, what kind of an animal
would just leave a dog chained to a pole in
the middle of a hurricane. I mean, it's just unbelievable
that somebody would do that. And so I'm thankful for
the FHP folks out of Tampa for rescuing the dog.
They did bring it to the vet. The dog has
a clean bill of health, and who knows, maybe we'll
(56:03):
do some adoption. Put the dog up for adoption and
we can have some people in Florida come and compete
for it and take it.
Speaker 3 (56:11):
That's actually going to be interesting to see where such
a horrible story like that turns into maybe a positive
to help, especially there are a.
Speaker 13 (56:19):
Lot of animals that need rescuing. I'm trying to get
my dad to adopt an English bulldog that a family
is trying to find a new home forn They said
they'll drive it all the way up to Michigan. I'm like, God,
please this Yeah, he's just okay. Taylor Swift and Travis
Kelsey are not engaged. Despite all of the rumors going around.
(56:39):
I keep hearing this from everybody. The rumor started that
the Chief Star had popped the question after former Dallas
Cowboys quarterback Tory Aikman said he had been told that
they might be heading down the aisle on an episode
of the Pardon My Take podcast, and after he referred
to Taylor as the missus during Monday Night Football this week.
Speaker 18 (56:59):
I don't know if I hurst him not, but someone
actually reached out to me day and said that they
might actually be engaged, So I might have I might
have a story.
Speaker 13 (57:06):
I'm told they're not, but I don't know what to
believe anymore. So I don't know.
Speaker 3 (57:10):
By the way, it's out there. Shout out to Taylor
for donating was it five million dollars?
Speaker 13 (57:17):
Yeah, I've got more in that story next hour. And
why some Swifties are under fire this morning and it
all has to do with the hurricanes.
Speaker 3 (57:25):
Ah. Oh so there's a bad story.
Speaker 13 (57:29):
Yeah, well we'll die next hour. I'll stay it.
Speaker 3 (57:33):
Taylor not gonna be happy with the Swifties, Yeah, I
don't think so. Does Taylor ever talk out against the
Swifties or is she? Pretty much that's a great question.
Speaker 13 (57:43):
I don't know who that I've ever.
Speaker 5 (57:44):
Lydia, but she told them, you need to call down.
Speaker 3 (57:51):
You need to calm down, all right.
Speaker 13 (57:54):
One of Diddy's latest accusers is being accused of bribery.
Talia Graves filed a lawsuit against Diddy and his former
bodyguard Joseph Sermon, alleging that they raped her back in
two thousand and one. However, in a twenty twenty three
text exchange between this woman and her ex boyfriend, she
mentions that she's suing Ditty quote unquote because he's the
(58:16):
one that has the money, and then allegedly appears to
offer him money for support the x after asking him
if he had seen the alleged video of her assault.
The ex boyfriend confirmed these texts to TMZ. By the way,
in other Ditty Dirty this Morning, This story coming to
us from ABC News tonight.
Speaker 42 (58:38):
A lawyer says a growing number of alleged victims are
coming forward to accuse Coolmbs of being a sexual predator
for much of that time.
Speaker 31 (58:45):
What's been alleged is incredibly horrifying.
Speaker 42 (58:50):
Attorney Andrew Van Arsdale says he has been collecting claims
against Combs from scores of women and men, some who
say they were miners at the time. Alleging they were
invited into the hip hop moguls luxurious World drug and
sexually assaulted often on tape. After collecting so many allegations,
the attorney says he noticed a gender difference.
Speaker 31 (59:08):
It seemed before two thousand and five it was men
and women equally, and then after two thousand and five
it seemed to.
Speaker 6 (59:16):
Switch a little bit.
Speaker 31 (59:17):
At least for the reports that have come into us,
it almost went ninety percent to men being sexually assaulted.
Speaker 13 (59:24):
That interesting. Wow again That audio courtesy of ABC News. Yeah,
Charlie x CX revealing that her I got I Got
Hunnic Mareene album cover from Bratt was so simple only
because she needed to save some money. I was like,
this album is not going to appeal to a lot of.
Speaker 3 (59:45):
People, right, so three hundred thousand dollars photo shots ain't
on the book.
Speaker 7 (59:49):
Yeah, literally, That's why I was like, I think, like
I will do like a press shoot and then maybe
we just like save on the album company.
Speaker 13 (59:57):
So just trying to be cheap. She was talking to
zaymlover Apple Music, by the way, and tonight the Tigers
kind of flitch it all in.
Speaker 8 (01:00:04):
The Holden deals and a swing and I miss a
strikeout to end it with an exclamation point. The Tigers
when the game three other than this leads on in
this custom divisions.
Speaker 13 (01:00:24):
And general manager A. J. Hinch said, there are no
star players here. This hit This is and has been
eighteen efforts.
Speaker 39 (01:00:33):
We can give different looks to different guys. We can
give you know, you have a six to six lefty
all the way to some fireball right handers to holt
and throw them back their cutters to you know, brisky
throwing turbo sinkers in changeups. So I you know, part
of our the way our roster is built and the
reason we're maximizing strengths is we can do a lot
(01:00:55):
of different things to hitters.
Speaker 6 (01:00:56):
It's not easy to face four different guys.
Speaker 39 (01:00:58):
Especially I took one about away from from Ramirez to
your to your question, it's interesting the guys to do it,
to throw strikes and pound the strike zone and go
right after guys.
Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
He's doing things completely different. There's no real starting pitcher
other than Trek Scouble and then the rest is all situational.
Love basically does bullpen pitching with these guys, which if
they continue on this path, and I think that even
if they don't. It's now made the MLB beyond notice
that you don't necessarily need to have, you know, four
(01:01:31):
or five big high priced starters like they used to
have back in the day. You need to have like
a great bullpen, or a bunch of starters, or a
bunch of pitchers that could go in and situational type
you know, games like this. I think it's going to
be wild because you know what it's going to do.
It's going to make people not spend a ton of
money on you know, the big name guys like Matt
(01:01:52):
chers Are and Max schers Are and Verlander and those guys.
Speaker 9 (01:01:55):
It's got to be hard to for the opposition to
game plan a scout figure out.
Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
You don't even know who's playing. And I don't know
what the rule is in the MLB, but I don't
think they release who the picture is until just before
game time fire.
Speaker 9 (01:02:10):
So we got to end it today. I'm not trying
to go back to Cleveland finish it in Detroit.
Speaker 3 (01:02:15):
I don't. I'll be honest with you. If we don't
end it today, it's gonna be very very tough to
be the Guardians for uh second or a third time
this this series how the series is set up.
Speaker 9 (01:02:28):
If we do lose today and I'm never never putting
that energy out there, will we have the opportunity to
come back home or as the remainder of the series
in Cleveland, it's.
Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
Done well, no, because it's only best of five. So
tonight is game number four. Game number five would be
in Cleveland. This series would be right yeah, okay.
Speaker 31 (01:02:46):
Hey.
Speaker 13 (01:02:46):
For all of Today's Dirty, you can listen to the
podcasts on the free iHeartRadio app ORMG in the Morning,
Mojo in the Morning.
Speaker 6 (01:02:52):
On social media Crazy It's Mojo in the Morning, He's Dirty.
Speaker 3 (01:02:56):
On the thirty, It's Mojo in the Morning Show. You
know that we couldn't stop Yesterday we talked about Pooh.
Today we're going back at it. It's got to be
two days in a row, virtually the same time that
while you're driving to work, I hope you can put
down whatever it is you're eating, because Kevin dropped it
in the toilet. And the question is what did you
(01:03:18):
drop in the toilet that you actually picked up and
reused or used again?
Speaker 25 (01:03:24):
What was it?
Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
keV?
Speaker 9 (01:03:25):
Some things you you dropping the toilet that you don't
mean to you know, and you gotta get it, and
that happened to me. I was finishing up my business
and for some reason, typically when I clean up the areas,
it takes place while I'm still seated on the throne.
Speaker 3 (01:03:42):
But for some reason, this particular time, I'm trying.
Speaker 9 (01:03:45):
A no toilet paper lifestyle, and uh yeah, I got
these cottonail wipes, cottonail wipes, and I've been trying to
just do the wipes instead of the toilet paper.
Speaker 13 (01:03:54):
Okay, so you're kind of.
Speaker 9 (01:03:57):
Going that crazy out here. Oh yeah, so cotton al lifestyle.
So for some reason, I decided to stand up and
face the I don't know what I was thinking. I
stood up, I faced the toilet. I had my cottonail wipes,
and my brain must have went somewhere, but I dropped
the whole package in the toilet and immediately I'm like,
(01:04:17):
oh no, And then I reached down right because it
didn't sink right. It's kind of like the Titanic, like
it like stood up straight. So I had an opportunity
to grab it. So I grabbed it. And now I'm like,
oh no, I have to wipe the wipes. So I
got to clean up the wipes and then clean up myself.
But I couldn't because you can't even flush it. It's
(01:04:39):
the package, right, you know.
Speaker 14 (01:04:40):
What I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
You gotta get it out. It has to come out.
Speaker 15 (01:04:46):
Why not?
Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
You damn right?
Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
I did?
Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
Wow? Like in the you know what I mean? Like,
why forgive me?
Speaker 4 (01:04:52):
Because they're no, they're not.
Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
They're sealed package. But the outside of the thing, you'll
never get the fecal matter as.
Speaker 13 (01:05:01):
Your phone in you'd save it. You wouldn't throw it.
Speaker 11 (01:05:03):
We're talking about something that costs six dollars six dollars Starbucks.
Speaker 12 (01:05:08):
Well not.
Speaker 22 (01:05:10):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:05:10):
Honestly, if I drop my toilet or my phone in
the toilet, I don't think i'd keep it. I think
i'd go for I don't think I would. I will
definitely wouldn't get a new one. As what I'm saying,
I honestly, Shannon, I probably because I have the insurance thing.
I'd probably would claim an insurance thing. I would say
that there's something wrong, and if they said something, I
would hand them my phone and say, this fell in
the toilet, take a look at it and see and
(01:05:31):
when they.
Speaker 13 (01:05:32):
Want to touch it if it was a public toilet,
my mind.
Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
So your own fecal matter is better than the fecal
matter of strangers. Yes, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:05:42):
I think.
Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
First off, congratulations to Kevin. I'm finally coming over to
the team that Shannon and I and maybe Megan. I
don't know. Megan, I don't know your wiping skills. But
Shannon and I have been with the whole We don't
use toilet paper. We use wet wipees. And the reason
you would never if I put poo on your hand,
(01:06:04):
wash or clean it off with a dry piece of
toilet paper and feel clean and feel clean, you would
wash it with water and soap and all the rest
of that stuff. Okay, Megan, do you use wipes?
Speaker 21 (01:06:15):
I do?
Speaker 6 (01:06:15):
Good?
Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
Thank you? Are you still toilet paper? You strictly wipes?
Speaker 11 (01:06:19):
I mean, if I'm at home, it's wipes, and if
I'm in public, it's see even.
Speaker 13 (01:06:23):
If I'm at home, I well, yeah, but even if
I'm at home, I do the toilet paper first. Yeah, yeah,
I finisher is Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
I got my dude wipes over here in the corner
that I bring with me everywhere I go.
Speaker 4 (01:06:34):
If not, you'll use too many wipes, and that's a waste.
Speaker 13 (01:06:36):
Agreed, because they're expensive. Save that package, You're not.
Speaker 3 (01:06:43):
Becky keV dropped it in the toilet and used it again.
What did you drop in the toilet?
Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
Uh?
Speaker 43 (01:06:49):
Cell phone and one of the rugged like Max tell
you know, two way ones, but before it was flushed
after taking a crap and it was a work phone.
So gave it back to the boss because it wouldn't work.
Speaker 15 (01:07:04):
He let it dry out and got it to.
Speaker 43 (01:07:07):
Work and so he used it and he joked that
it had crappy reception.
Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
Ye are you telling me that the boss knew it
was or didn't know it was dropped in the toilet.
Speaker 34 (01:07:18):
He absolutely knew.
Speaker 43 (01:07:19):
That's why it was given back to him because then
needed a new work phone, and he was like, we'll
see if it still works, and.
Speaker 27 (01:07:25):
He used it as animal.
Speaker 3 (01:07:31):
Is it Lena or Lena?
Speaker 36 (01:07:34):
Lenna?
Speaker 3 (01:07:34):
Lena? What's up?
Speaker 31 (01:07:36):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
So?
Speaker 18 (01:07:37):
Yeah, I dropped my wallet into the toilet one.
Speaker 36 (01:07:40):
Time and I pulled it out.
Speaker 18 (01:07:44):
I had to fish it out. I had already peed.
Speaker 34 (01:07:46):
It was not my best moment.
Speaker 18 (01:07:49):
And then I got pulled over the next day and
I had to hand my wet registration and insurance paperwork
to the police officer who asked, oh, why is it all?
Speaker 36 (01:08:02):
What and I just laughing.
Speaker 18 (01:08:04):
I definitely did not tell them the truth.
Speaker 6 (01:08:06):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
Don't you feel bad though, that the poor man went
home to his family with dirty hands.
Speaker 18 (01:08:14):
I hope that he washed them afterwards.
Speaker 26 (01:08:16):
I hope.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
Oh my gosh. By the way, you will never touch
anything that's wet anymore without thinking that the person's lying.
By the way, thank god that it was only p
If it's only pee in the toilet, then I don't
feel so bad. But if it's a number two, I
don't know if I want it. Thank you appreciate it.
Speaker 18 (01:08:32):
I probably wouldn't have fished it out.
Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
Yeah, a lot of people. By the way, somebody said that,
they tell me you wouldn't do this. Somebody told me
that their kid dropped the retainer in the toilet and
they cleaned it off for them and let them put
it back in their mouth.
Speaker 9 (01:08:45):
Okay, nice, drop it like some peroxide or something like,
come on clean you will. If we're talking about things
that are expensive. Retainers are thousands of dollars bron you
get it insurance package. I drop him on in the trash,
and every time it happened, I had to get it.
(01:09:06):
Three one three dropped their partial teeth into the toilet.
Speaker 3 (01:09:10):
Oh my god, they wonder, what the what's up, Kristen?
Speaker 34 (01:09:16):
Why my mom?
Speaker 30 (01:09:18):
One night she was drinking too much and she lost
her glasses in the toilet, couldn't.
Speaker 34 (01:09:23):
Find it, called me. The next day.
Speaker 30 (01:09:25):
She ended up having to snake her toilet out to
find her glass.
Speaker 13 (01:09:28):
There, because how do you lose your glasses in the toilet?
Don't you just drop them? And you see him in there?
Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
Wait?
Speaker 3 (01:09:36):
Did she wrote a ruder him out and then put
them back on her face?
Speaker 34 (01:09:40):
You know, my dad's a pretty handy man, so he
like did a snake on there and he just.
Speaker 3 (01:09:45):
Snaked him out for but they got But did she
use him again?
Speaker 16 (01:09:48):
She definitely did.
Speaker 15 (01:09:49):
Oh god, definitely did.
Speaker 5 (01:09:51):
I would never you call her poopoo face.
Speaker 15 (01:09:54):
Now I call her a lot of things.
Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
I like that. Thank you for all right, It's Mojo
in the morning, Shannon. Something happened yesterday. They kind of
gave you some realization about something that you're struggling with
this morning. What's that?
Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
So?
Speaker 13 (01:10:13):
I've always joked about my lack of skills in the kitchen.
I call myself domestically disabled all of the time because
I can't cook. I can cook like a few things, okay,
but for the most part, like I I just never
like my mom wasn't really a big cook, so I
didn't like learn from her or any like. It wasn't
(01:10:36):
anything like that. And this has never been as big
of an issue, and I've never felt it as much
as I feel now. And this might sound stupid, but
it's truly making me feel like I'm falling short as
a wife and a mom and a stepmom because this
actually wasn't last night. It was the night before last. Like,
(01:10:58):
everybody's schedule is very different, which doesn't help this. So
my kids, Wes is, all four kids had sports until
about seven point thirty, and by the time I got home,
the older kids were home and Wes had told them
to just fend for themselves in terms of dinner. Now,
(01:11:18):
mind you, we have a ton of options. We have
Costco stuff, we have fresh stuff from the grocery store
in the fridge to make whatever. But it's not like
I had prepared a dinner for them or anybody that
was waiting for them on the stove. When they got home,
right Lucy and Smith, I made them hot dogs and
caught up some like fruit and veggies and called it
a dinner. I had half of a leftover burger. I
(01:11:39):
don't even know what Wes ended up eating when he
got home from from doing all of his stuff. And
so it's just like very disjointed and discombobulated, and I
just feel like I get anxiety, Like yesterday I had
anxiety as dinner time was approaching, like what am I
going to feed everybody? And everybody like something different?
Speaker 4 (01:11:59):
And I don't know.
Speaker 13 (01:12:01):
I just feel like I fail in that area. I
feel like I'm a good mom and stepmom when it
comes to and wife when it comes to everything else.
But that's the one area where I'm like, look.
Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Did you feel the same way when it was just
you and the kids before you started dating West?
Speaker 13 (01:12:16):
And then, honestly know because the kids are happy with
like chicken nuggets in the air fryer, I mean, who is?
And I'm happy with girl dinner, a bowl of cereal
like olives?
Speaker 6 (01:12:29):
What allis?
Speaker 24 (01:12:31):
Like?
Speaker 13 (01:12:32):
Whatever I have, I can make it into something and
nobody else is judging me right right and now and
now it's like I have Wes and Sam and Karen
who I want to be better.
Speaker 26 (01:12:48):
And I am not.
Speaker 13 (01:12:50):
They are They're very healthy they're asking.
Speaker 3 (01:12:54):
Plus the teenagers are different also, even if they're not
in intentional about the healthy. As they eat more, they
need more, They need more nourishment and in a bowl
of cereal doesn't always cut it for them.
Speaker 13 (01:13:05):
And Pinterest is like real overwhelming and dealing with recipe.
Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
Like, I just I don't know, do you guys ever
sit down as a as a family now of six
of you guys?
Speaker 13 (01:13:15):
So no, And that's what else, like is kind of
weighing on me. And I know that it's twenty twenty
four and we're a modern, blended family and whatever. Everybody's busy.
If we did that, we wouldn't be eating until probably
like eight o'clock because everybody's and my kids start kids thirty.
Speaker 3 (01:13:33):
I got to tell you this, I don't know, it's
really wild. We have a friends of ours that they
intentionally tell their family like everybody has to be home
on one or two days a week where they at
least have to be able. It's like usually like Sunday
dinner or whatever, and try to do it together just
so that everybody can get together. Because it's funny. It
became one of those things where on Thanksgiving you do
it and you go, this is really kind of cool
(01:13:54):
to get everybody here together, and then you go, well, well,
why can't we try to do it at least a
couple of times a week or month, you know? But
I don't. I'm always amazed by the people who I'm
amazed by two things. Number One, why is it always
the woman's, you know, job to figure out what dinner
is going to be about?
Speaker 13 (01:14:12):
Well, I have to say Wes is very helpful here.
I'm putting this on myself. I am putting this on
I'm about to say, when the last time you could
West meal props like a champ, usually on Sundays. But
he like, he's been crazy busy too, so we didn't
do it this week. So I feel like that's why
I'm really really feeling it.
Speaker 3 (01:14:31):
But I'm also amazed at the there are a lot
of people who can literally, with nothing in their house
whip up a full meal. That mom looks, that's my neighbor,
she's got to come over, my grandma.
Speaker 13 (01:14:46):
I would love for somebody to come over and be like, Okay,
I'm going to teach you some basics and that way
you can do this in you know, under half an
hour and everybody will be happy. I need that person
to reach out to me.
Speaker 3 (01:14:57):
Good uh mereth and the mega comment afterwards going on, not.
Speaker 19 (01:15:03):
Much, how you guys doing so, Shannon. What I do
to survive and stay sane in my blended household is
every Monday is spend for yourself night. All the kids
know it. If I come home from work on Monday
and they're like, what's for dinner? I look at them
and say what day is it? And they're like oh,
(01:15:24):
and I'm like, yep.
Speaker 3 (01:15:25):
There are there options, though. Do you have things in
there like leftover.
Speaker 19 (01:15:28):
The houses all the houses, Yeah, there's okay. My kids
are are seven or i'm sorry eight years old and up,
so they all know how to either put something in
the microwave, put something on the stove.
Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
Your eight year old does their own meal.
Speaker 19 (01:15:41):
Huh oh absolutely, Like what kind of meals?
Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
Are we talking?
Speaker 19 (01:15:45):
Like rumen or you know, like a little there's these
like Yakisoba like keriochy meals that you can just put
water in a sauce pack in and put that in
the microwave.
Speaker 3 (01:15:55):
But do you guys ever sit down and do family dinner?
Speaker 34 (01:15:59):
Oh?
Speaker 19 (01:16:00):
Yeah, it's just it's not you know, it's not all
that often. I mean we have a small house, so yeah,
so we will have dinner where we make it, but
generally us two adults have to sit elsewhere and then
all the kids sit at the table because we just
can't accommodate everybody at one big table, which sucks. But yeah,
every Monday, Every Monday is fend for yourself. And that's
(01:16:23):
just I know that I have that day that I
don't have to cook. The kids are going to take
care of themselves. There's always enough food in the house.
If they don't like something, oh well find something. If
you're hungry enough, you'll eat it. And that's our night
off where we don't have to think about dinner and
we can just have it and not have to adult
(01:16:44):
as much on one night of the week.
Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
Yeah, thank you for the call, Susan. Bye bye, what's up?
Speaker 43 (01:16:53):
Good morning?
Speaker 30 (01:16:54):
My message is Shan Shanman.
Speaker 44 (01:16:56):
I'm old.
Speaker 3 (01:16:57):
She sounds like missus doubt Do you want to sign
up to? Do you want to sign up to be
Shannon's missus doubt fire.
Speaker 44 (01:17:05):
I just watched Missus Dout File last night.
Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
It was.
Speaker 44 (01:17:10):
Shannon always to say, don't overthink. It is so simple
and fun. Just get crop kind of chicken soup. Get
a Cosco's chicken, pull the chicken off, throw it in,
put silver form on the top of pour baked potatoes
and put it in a crop pot. Just let it
cook all day. They'll come home to a desertiously smiling meal.
And it's easy, peasye.
Speaker 13 (01:17:33):
I love you the problem and I love crackpot stuff.
The problem is like someone doesn't like onions. Sam doesn't
like it, you know what I mean. It's like That's
the other thing is everybody has different I think they.
Speaker 3 (01:17:47):
I think they, but I do think you're very hard.
But I also think this that the kids can eat
whatever that they can pick the onions out of it,
you know, or they can pick whatever it is. You
gotta you gotta do the the one meal and hope
that you know, shove it. Why is it that when
I was a kid, I used to I was a
family of six. I would eat anything that was put
(01:18:08):
in front of me. Look at me.
Speaker 13 (01:18:10):
My children are so picky.
Speaker 3 (01:18:12):
That's because kp also family of sex. Yes, if there
was if there was enough, because you never got enough.
Speaker 14 (01:18:17):
Yes, you have to fight tooth and nail for anything
that is made. So we eat The only thing I
wouldn't eat is stirf.
Speaker 13 (01:18:24):
Right hat like even with chicken nuggets with Smith, He's like,
that's the white package. I only like the blue package.
Speaker 3 (01:18:32):
That's the wrong catch up.
Speaker 5 (01:18:34):
I'm like, send them to send to the prose home.
He'll come back ten pounds lighter.
Speaker 3 (01:18:40):
And can you imagine KP's mom. We all know KP's
mom's a boss lady. I am a KP. You need
her with that lady? That was just on with us,
missus doubtfighter. Tell those kids, it's like life, Amy, what's up?
Speaker 31 (01:18:55):
Hey?
Speaker 13 (01:18:55):
What's up?
Speaker 35 (01:18:56):
So you could start with maybe some like semi homemade
dinners where you buy stuff that's like maybe already prepared
and then you put your own twist on it if
you look up. I think it's like the semi homemade
with sarahle or somebody. But I mean, I love to cook,
and my kids they are all picky, so I usually
(01:19:19):
end up making all different stuff.
Speaker 43 (01:19:20):
But I love doing that.
Speaker 35 (01:19:21):
So but shart off with maybe some semi homemade nail recipes.
Speaker 3 (01:19:25):
They're pretty easy, like grabbing go type of stuff. What's happening, Brad.
Speaker 15 (01:19:33):
Hey, I have a few friends that they had a
problem with cooking, and they went online and got the
boxes that were shipped to your house with the recipes
in them.
Speaker 11 (01:19:42):
So that's what I've been trying to say, And that's
how I got into cooking, was Hello Fresh, and I
did that for nearly two years.
Speaker 4 (01:19:49):
You get to keep all of the recipes.
Speaker 13 (01:19:51):
Those are the biggest pain of my ass. I tried that,
I have tried that.
Speaker 4 (01:19:55):
That's all pre done for it.
Speaker 13 (01:19:56):
You don't know, it's like a lot of work.
Speaker 4 (01:19:58):
How is it more work?
Speaker 13 (01:20:00):
Can I try it? But then if it's the same thing,
what do you like? Like half of the stuff they
don't like? And then I'm stuck with it, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 4 (01:20:11):
No, because now I just think that there's no way
for you to cook.
Speaker 3 (01:20:15):
There's a place by my house and I can't remember
what the name is, like Daily Eats or something like that,
but you go in there's nobody even working and they
have heat up meals. You walk in, grab either fridge
and then you scan it right there at the door
and whenever you go. And my neighbor neighbors do that
and they love it. Well, I mean, it's it's healthier
than probably ordering a door dash for McDonald's.
Speaker 4 (01:20:38):
But I thought you wanted to get into.
Speaker 13 (01:20:39):
Cooking chans too, any ingredients.
Speaker 28 (01:20:42):
I just need.
Speaker 13 (01:20:43):
I need to win the lottery and I need to
hire Susan.
Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
I also think that a lot of times people put
a lot of pressure on themselves to try to do it.
And if you just start at we'll do it once
a week, and all of a sudden it becomes something
that this isn't as bad as I thought it was
going to be. Yeah, and just try to and honestly, Chelsea. So, Chelsea,
I like eating at the you know, the kitchen or
not the kitchen, the couch, uh and whatever the heid
(01:21:12):
of wearing my brain farting on what the healthy you
call your table in front of your couch. Oh the
coffee table. Yes, well I don't drink coffee on it.
I'm not allowed to. But Chelsea will not eat dinner there,
and she requires that we, even it's just two of us,
we have to sit at the kitchen table. And I
got to be honest with you. It makes me eat
slower when I do it that way, because if I'm
(01:21:32):
on the couch, I eat like a freaking savage. I'm crazy.
Speaker 13 (01:21:37):
Yeah, Well, thank you for all This suggests I truly,
truly appreciate that I just all right?
Speaker 3 (01:21:43):
Is Mojo in the morning is extremely sweet. How many
people over the course of the last few days have
been asking me through text message or through DMS, and
you know, people who've even honestly been emailing me through
our stations email address asking me how my son's doing,
how Joe's doing. Because of Hurricane Milton, yesterday, I felt
(01:22:06):
like I was answering every five seconds a couple of
text messages of people just asking how things are going.
I do want to let you know that Joe text
me late, late, late last night. It was in the
middle of the night as the hurricane was hitting where
he was. He evacuated to Orlando, which Orlando is about
an hour and fifteen or twenty away from Tampa, and he,
(01:22:30):
along with his girlfriend Alissa, evacuated there. Jed and Ashley
from The Joe Show they evacuated to families homes in
other parts of Florida, and then they combined did their
shows in different locations, which you can obviously check out
if you go to The Joe Show on Instagram and Facebook,
or if you go listen to them on ninety through
three FLZ. He said he was scared. He said he
(01:22:54):
was worried, but he was more so worried about what
was going on back in Tampa and not so much
what was happening to him when he was in Orlando.
And it's not good. And for anybody that has any
family in Florida, check on your family members that are
towards the Sarasota area too, because they got really really
pummeled by this. Saying Hurricane Milton was tough. It turns
(01:23:19):
out right now they're saying that this could be the
second largest hurricane causing the most damage to Katrina, that
was obviously one of the most devastating all hurricanes ever.
I was watching a lot of the news and then
it got to a point yesterday that I had to
like turn it off because it just became a point
(01:23:41):
where I was getting more and more anxiety. I mean,
I was watching that points I was flipping between CNN,
the Weather Channel, and then Fox News and some of
the other different news people that were out there. I
saw Anderson Cooper. Did you see this? He got pummeled
and the water I was really shorting to pour over
(01:24:02):
if you look at the ground. Whoo, He's got hit
by a projectile.
Speaker 6 (01:24:06):
That wasn't good.
Speaker 3 (01:24:07):
We'll probably go inside shortly.
Speaker 5 (01:24:09):
But you can see the amount of water here on
the ground.
Speaker 6 (01:24:13):
This is water from the Manatee River.
Speaker 45 (01:24:15):
I do want to know if everyone watching, who is
very concerned obviously about all of our correspondence and anchors
on the ground, Anderson is okay, just obviously understandably difficult
to establish a connection when you're seeing what's happening.
Speaker 3 (01:24:27):
Yeah, so it got to be crazy. These guys obviously
want to give us the visuals of what's going on.
I think they're crazy, you know what I mean? Like
I think standing out there, like I saw some of
the guys from the Weather Channel where they were being
just destroyed by the amount of wind and water that
was coming in surge. And then I wanted to know
(01:24:49):
how does iHeart and not have equipment that can work
in a drizzle outside, when with the Weather Channel has
equipment that works during massive hurricanes that happened. And I'm
thinking to myself, are we not buying the equipment from
the same place or what. So I want to get
into a topic here that I think that could be
(01:25:10):
interesting to hear what your thoughts are. So I asked
Joe as he was leaving, and he left a day
and a half ago to go up to Orlando because
they had to. They were told it's a mandatory evacuation.
You have to leave. So he luckily was able to
get a hotel room just outside of the Orlando area.
And I said, so, what did you do? And he
(01:25:31):
was telling me all the things that he was doing
to pre prepare for this, like, for instance, he packed
a few days of clothes because they were told, you
may not come back until Monday, Like there's a possibility
that if the storm hits on Wednesday, that you guys
still may not even be allowed to come back because
the bridges might be closed, just like there was for Helene.
(01:25:53):
He also said that he grabbed some things that were
of value to him, like some pictures and stuff of
you know, our family and some of the things that
he's done over the years. He grabbed some of his
nikes that he didn't want to lose. He grabbed his
Star Wars memorabilia that he had, and then he grabbed
(01:26:14):
some bank records and things like that because I think
his mom said to him, hey, you probably should forget
about the Star Wars stuff and grab like things that
you're going to need to know, you know, just in
case you get locked out of any apps or any
kind of stuff online. But I wanted to ask you
guys this question. Not the necessities that you need, like
a clothing like underwear and things like that, not pets,
(01:26:37):
and well, definitely you got to grab pats, right.
Speaker 13 (01:26:39):
Right, That's what I'm saying. Like, aside from those things.
Speaker 3 (01:26:43):
What would be the oddest thing that you would grab
if you had to evacuate in the form of a hurricane.
We are so lucky that we don't have to do this. Like,
tornadoes to me are scary, But if we can go
in our basement and stay safe, that's way better than
in these these things that were tornadoes upon hurricanes. You
can't go into a basement, man, and stay safe with
(01:27:04):
these things. What would you, guys grab?
Speaker 13 (01:27:08):
I sound a terrible human being saying this, but I
would grab some of my purses.
Speaker 4 (01:27:16):
I would, That makes sense.
Speaker 5 (01:27:17):
I would.
Speaker 13 (01:27:18):
I don't have a your but I would.
Speaker 11 (01:27:20):
Grab those because those were what I immediately thought, rice
cooker because I use every day.
Speaker 4 (01:27:26):
Yeah, I use it every day.
Speaker 11 (01:27:28):
I don't want to wait for like four day shipping
for a new one, so he said stupid things.
Speaker 4 (01:27:34):
He didn't say, what's the most meaningful thing that you?
Speaker 12 (01:27:37):
Oh? Yeah?
Speaker 13 (01:27:37):
And I would also grab my pillow because this pillow
is like heaven on my bed and I will never
find the same one again. So I'm taking my pillow.
Speaker 4 (01:27:46):
Along the same line as my electric blanket.
Speaker 11 (01:27:48):
It's like it's Bluetooth controlled, so I can control it
from my phone while I'm in bed. It's king size,
they're both individual sides are controlled like independently.
Speaker 4 (01:27:57):
Definitely taking that I got you.
Speaker 9 (01:28:00):
About you, cav what would you do? I mean, I'm
with Joe. I got some cool pairs of shoes that
I definitely would would keep.
Speaker 3 (01:28:08):
And I don't know.
Speaker 9 (01:28:11):
I would get Josiah's mcamanie because all his drawings and
all his artwork is on their so I like I
have to run and like go get that, and then
probably my other phone because who knows what's on.
Speaker 5 (01:28:21):
That You don't want to leave it behind.
Speaker 1 (01:28:28):
KP.
Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
What would you grab? What would you take out?
Speaker 14 (01:28:30):
Probably the guitar my dad gave me when I was
like thirteen, because it's the first guitar, well actually know
the first, but one of the first.
Speaker 13 (01:28:38):
My favorites and you can't replace things sentimental. That's not
an electric blanket, I know, meaning to.
Speaker 3 (01:28:50):
You, is there anything sentimental that you that you got
besides that, Like would you take pictures or anything like that?
Speaker 14 (01:28:57):
No, for I really not material materialistic, Like everything that
I have could be replaced.
Speaker 5 (01:29:04):
The only thing. And I know we said no pets,
like I would literally die for my cat. So my cat.
Speaker 3 (01:29:10):
Yeah, see, I know that we have them on our phone,
but there's ones I don't have on my phone. There's
ones like I don't have a lot of the baby
baby stuff, and I don't have like the pictures of
my mom with me, Like I have frames in my
house like I would we have in our bedroom, Chelsea
and I in our bedroom, we have a bookshelf and
she's got like one section and I got one section
of the bookshelf where it's all the pictures of us
(01:29:31):
with her grandfather and her me and my mom and dad.
And there's honestly very few pictures that I have of
me with my parents. I would be like I'd be
getting a duffel bag together and throwing all that stuff.
Speaker 13 (01:29:44):
That baby stuff. I would grab smith and loose baby stuff,
like the outfit they came home from the hospital in
like those sorts of things. Yeah, no, seriously, because those
are those are there's no.
Speaker 3 (01:29:55):
Duplicates, my boys. He's a miuralist.
Speaker 9 (01:29:58):
He did an amazing poor of Josiah and I. I,
now that I'm thinking about it, I would definitely grab that.
Speaker 3 (01:30:04):
You you take that, that would be sure. But Matt,
what would you grab?
Speaker 22 (01:30:09):
Well, I'm pretty I'm a pretty simple man. I got
a Chauncey Billups jersey that got signed by him back
in oh Forth.
Speaker 37 (01:30:15):
Yeah, and and my Xbox and PlayStation.
Speaker 22 (01:30:17):
Those are what I'm taking.
Speaker 3 (01:30:18):
By the way, you got to say it right, Chauncey,
but bub Billups.
Speaker 40 (01:30:23):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
I would take that too. That's awesome. Liz, what about you?
Speaker 34 (01:30:29):
Hi?
Speaker 3 (01:30:29):
Liz?
Speaker 15 (01:30:30):
Oh Hi?
Speaker 34 (01:30:31):
Sorry?
Speaker 38 (01:30:32):
So I was just saying that I would I have
a sake of like things that are important to me,
like my passport.
Speaker 35 (01:30:40):
Sold a security car.
Speaker 38 (01:30:41):
I have like a release sentimental ring from my grandma.
Speaker 34 (01:30:45):
Yeah, and then I was thinking about it.
Speaker 38 (01:30:46):
And I have a really cool fluffy share that like
I cannot replace and find anywhere that I got from
like big lots years ago.
Speaker 3 (01:30:54):
How are you going to be putting that in the
back of your car. You've be taking that with you.
Speaker 10 (01:31:00):
I don't care.
Speaker 27 (01:31:00):
You gotta get it everyone, I don't care.
Speaker 6 (01:31:03):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (01:31:04):
Everybody has to lay down. Charmaine.
Speaker 34 (01:31:08):
Hey, guys, first time, long time.
Speaker 5 (01:31:10):
Yeah, Charmaine on the phoat.
Speaker 15 (01:31:14):
I'm grabbing my perfume collection. I want expensive bottles, my Coco.
So we got some expensive bottles there.
Speaker 3 (01:31:25):
I did not know that women have, uh, you know,
perfume collections. Yeah, that's wild. I like, by the way,
the person that just hung up a second ago, I
wanted to grab next. They were going to take their
weed collection. Is that really a collection?
Speaker 13 (01:31:39):
Do you somebody that said their vibrator collection?
Speaker 6 (01:31:41):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:31:42):
Come on, Yeah, those people got to call us. I
want to hear from them, Lydia. They gotta they got
to call and get on the air with us. Eight
four four Mojo Live eight four four six six five
six five four eight Sathy.
Speaker 16 (01:31:51):
There, Yeah, I'm here.
Speaker 27 (01:31:54):
Everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:31:55):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
SA?
Speaker 3 (01:31:56):
So are yeah?
Speaker 12 (01:31:57):
Everybody?
Speaker 3 (01:31:58):
Where are you at? Seth?
Speaker 16 (01:32:00):
I'm in Jacksonville, Floria. I just gotten off a sixteen
hour shift working in the emergency response tame.
Speaker 3 (01:32:06):
Wow, and buddy, you guys got hit too.
Speaker 22 (01:32:09):
By this thing we did.
Speaker 16 (01:32:12):
We didn't get hit as bad as Sarasota and Bradington
in that area, so we're praying for them. But I
just wanted to give you a quick update on them.
And you know, with Jacksonville weave, you know, it's calm
down over here. The wind is, you know, pretty minimal.
The damage is pretty minimal.
Speaker 20 (01:32:26):
So thank God for that, but.
Speaker 16 (01:32:28):
Be praying for the people in Bradington and Sarasota in
that area and Saint Pete because everyone there is flooded
and oh it's terrible. And just another notice. I wanted
to say one of my coworkers, she didn't think about
bringing sheets to you know, sleep in the hospital. She
didn't think about all that. She just brought in her
dang waffle maker.
Speaker 3 (01:32:52):
Is it a Williamson Nomon?
Speaker 16 (01:32:56):
It's a Gucci waffle maker?
Speaker 3 (01:32:58):
Oh you know what.
Speaker 5 (01:33:04):
Labels on it.
Speaker 13 (01:33:04):
I think he's joking.
Speaker 3 (01:33:06):
Fired up, man, hold on a second, I'm gonna I'm.
Speaker 13 (01:33:10):
That is seriously, that's a thing.
Speaker 3 (01:33:13):
I mean, real quick. I want to make a quick
phone call cause I want to I want to try
to see Jed. We're on the radio. Don't swear, I
know you, I won't swear.
Speaker 46 (01:33:23):
I won't swear.
Speaker 3 (01:33:23):
How are you guys doing?
Speaker 25 (01:33:24):
Man?
Speaker 3 (01:33:25):
How'd you hold up?
Speaker 46 (01:33:27):
I went, I went with the family. We went all
the way up to the corner of the Saint Augustine
so we could get completely out of the count. But
I'm just looking at the news coverage right now, and
I think my place is going to be showed with water.
But it's it's looking bad. Did you guys see the
videos of Tropicana Field? Yes, this freaking roof was torn
(01:33:47):
off it.
Speaker 27 (01:33:48):
Holy cow.
Speaker 9 (01:33:49):
Now that was the area where they housed all the
cots for people who are there that were going to
be stranded, had and who couldn't evacuate, had an opportunity
to go somewhere, and emergency service today.
Speaker 46 (01:33:59):
Where people are they hit all the line people's at
tropic in the field and then kaboom, the top just
ripped right off. I couldn't believe it when I saw
the video, I thought they moved on.
Speaker 3 (01:34:09):
Yeah, Jed, Jed, are you pretty? Was it pretty emotional
for you to see this and to see the town
that you live in get hit as hard as it did. Well,
just more so, just I can't.
Speaker 46 (01:34:20):
It's almost unbelievable because you just see like clear water
Beach was It's just like almost it's like I'm living
in in what's the one movie It's Uster Day, because
it's like, yeah, it's like a week later, the same
exact thing happens to Clearwater Beach in Saint Pete Beach,
(01:34:41):
and I it's just hard to wrap your head around.
I can't even so I live in Panell's County in Florida,
I don't I can't even get back in until the
until the Panell's County says I can get back in.
They're asking everybody to either remain in place or people
not to return because the damage to the roads and
down power lines and people trying to get into down
(01:35:02):
power lines and staining water. They're asking people to stay
in their home. So I'm trying to get text my
neighbors to see if I can get a hold of
them and see what it looks like. But it's not
looking too good.
Speaker 3 (01:35:12):
Well, you know what, things can be replaced. I'm just
praying that there are people, you know, like we talked
to Joe yesterday. He told us about Terry and her parents.
I'm just hoping that nobody got hurt there.
Speaker 46 (01:35:22):
That was a huge concern as well, and then I
saw that it hits yes the key dead on, and
I was just like, I'm just all over the place
right now.
Speaker 3 (01:35:32):
Man, Hey, have you guys had a conversation with Terry
this morning just to see how they're doing.
Speaker 46 (01:35:38):
Yeah, we texted text her last night and just some
texts throughout the morning. But it seems like they got
some flooding down there, but I don't know what the
full details are just yet.
Speaker 3 (01:35:48):
Okay, all right, And I know that you guys are
off the air right now because you guys are still
doing storm coverage from the new station. Have they talked
about you guys being on the air later today.
Speaker 46 (01:36:02):
I don't know if it's going to be later today.
I got a double check to see when they're going
to end wall to wallstorm coverage. But I mean, I
would like to get back and talk with people, just
just for just for everybody's sanity, because everybody's tired of
hearing no Milton's at one hundred and thirty five miles
an hour. I think what they need right now is
they need people to be like, hey, like you know
(01:36:25):
your house is underwater, but like come and have a
conversation with us type of thing. They don't want to hear.
They don't want to hear twelve foot of storm surge,
and they're tired of hearing all that stuff. So I
want to be there. I think we all need to
be there and be a distraction for all these people
who have either lost their homes or are scared and
don't know where to go or afraid to ask for help.
Speaker 3 (01:36:46):
So ched my love to you guys, you guys foy
in your guys' short career that you guys have had,
you guys have had COVID, You've had hurricanes, You've had
crazy with you know, co workers. I mean, it's been
It's unreal. Did you guys have lived a life? You
lived a lot longer life than I have in the
(01:37:09):
career that I've had.
Speaker 46 (01:37:11):
It's yeah, it's like the Book of Genesis packed in
the four years.
Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
It's great.
Speaker 3 (01:37:15):
Holy Christ.
Speaker 6 (01:37:17):
I love you.
Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
I love you.
Speaker 1 (01:37:18):
Jed.
Speaker 3 (01:37:19):
We'll talk to you.
Speaker 6 (01:37:20):
I love you more.
Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
That's Jed from from the Joe Show. We'll check in
with you and see how you guys are doing. Oh
my god, Levita, let's go back to some of these
things that people would take with them.
Speaker 34 (01:37:30):
Love you, how you doing?
Speaker 28 (01:37:31):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:37:31):
We love you?
Speaker 3 (01:37:32):
Today, Levita. What would you take with you if you
had to evacuate from a hurricane?
Speaker 18 (01:37:38):
Yes, mojoll I have two things if you don't mind.
Speaker 10 (01:37:41):
The first thing would be my sword.
Speaker 19 (01:37:43):
I was in ELTC. In my sword, I was in
j LTC back in.
Speaker 20 (01:37:48):
Nineteen ninety five.
Speaker 38 (01:37:50):
In high school, I was a court commander over twenty.
Speaker 34 (01:37:53):
Two Detroit High School.
Speaker 10 (01:37:55):
My name is engraved in that sword.
Speaker 37 (01:37:57):
I love that sword.
Speaker 34 (01:37:58):
It is my baby.
Speaker 5 (01:37:59):
Okay, ready for an apocalypse.
Speaker 3 (01:38:02):
What's the second thing you would take with you?
Speaker 34 (01:38:05):
Well, the second thing is kind of a ream.
Speaker 43 (01:38:07):
Yesterday I was the person that text about my carpet
guy sleeping on my carpet.
Speaker 27 (01:38:13):
So that was me.
Speaker 3 (01:38:14):
Oh okay, yeah, we were talking about repair people that
did some crazy stuff. You should take her carb with
her too. We love you, Melody. What would you take
with you?
Speaker 24 (01:38:27):
I would take all my family's ashes?
Speaker 3 (01:38:31):
Oh how many you got?
Speaker 24 (01:38:33):
I lived in Daytona forty five years and then moved
to Ohio because of hurricanes and tornadoes. Little did I
know that where I moved there's a lot of tornado. Yeah,
you moved right to it, Hurricane Ali that I'm trying
to run from it and here it is it might.
Speaker 3 (01:38:51):
Be you Melody, Hurricane Melody following me? Yes, how many
ashes you got? Melody?
Speaker 19 (01:38:57):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 24 (01:38:58):
I've got four, my mother, my brother, and my ex
fiance and my other brother, my oldest brother.
Speaker 4 (01:39:08):
I'm so sorry.
Speaker 3 (01:39:09):
Stupid question. Would you keep them individual or would you
put them all in one?
Speaker 17 (01:39:15):
You know that's a good ideal, but none is putting
all the ashes in one, like mixing all the sodas
that pop at a fountain drink along.
Speaker 19 (01:39:27):
No, they didn't like each other.
Speaker 24 (01:39:33):
Though. I'm a long time listener, first time, thank you
one last.
Speaker 3 (01:39:40):
One, Ashley, What would you take with you if.
Speaker 20 (01:39:43):
You had to evacuate my BDSM here?
Speaker 4 (01:39:49):
What expensive I get it?
Speaker 3 (01:39:51):
What do you got?
Speaker 31 (01:39:52):
Tell us?
Speaker 20 (01:39:52):
It's very positive.
Speaker 35 (01:39:54):
We paddles, chains, toys, math.
Speaker 3 (01:40:01):
What's the most prized possession?
Speaker 38 (01:40:04):
The paddle that I painted.
Speaker 3 (01:40:07):
Could you someday bring all this stuff down to the
studio for show and tell?
Speaker 27 (01:40:11):
No, there's too much in the party.
Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
I want you. I wanted you to come down to
the studio just so I could have you bring it
down here and we could spank Kevin. Ah. Well, you
know what. We love you, Toledo. You're an hour away.
You can drive to the studios. Here, we'll come to you.
We're road tripping. Actually, you know what, just show up
(01:40:35):
at our Toledo Kiss studios and spank Scott's sands for us.
Speaker 30 (01:40:39):
Okay, Well, the thanking happens to me, so I wouldn't
be all.
Speaker 3 (01:40:45):
Right, Scott will do that for you. Scott Scott like,
all right, we love you. Mojo on the morning show
home of the War of the Roses, we bust cheaters.
You got to go check out the War of the
Roses on TikTok. You can see that right on our
channel nine to five to five TikTok. Follow that, follow
(01:41:05):
Mojo in the morning, and of course Snax and Kiss too.
Calv's got a beef. Who's the beef with man my
son's barber? Why do you beef with your son's BARBERA
is your son's Barbara not your barber? No, he's not
my barber, okay.
Speaker 9 (01:41:19):
And it's interesting because you never want, or at least
I never want to put a person that has that
much control over me in a negative state. I'm always
very cautious of my barber's energy where he's at mentally,
because I feel like the better that he's doing the
better his job will be. You know what I mean,
(01:41:39):
you know what I'm saying it kind of so I
was kind of in his barber beef. I wasn't trying
to be fully beefed out, so to speak, or have
an aggressive tone because he was in control of my
son's here. But the beef is and I would love
for people who you know, are haircare professionals or nail takes,
should a person come to do the hair salon with
(01:42:02):
certain things already together, because that is what he told
me from my son. He said that now Josiah has
a lot of hair on his head, and after Josiah's
one of these kids like just taper, which kind of
means fade up the sides of his heads, the back
line him up and let the top do its thing. Now,
the few times that I've taken him to this particular barber,
(01:42:23):
he's done just that. But at the end of it,
he'll pick out Josiah's hair and then he'll use like
this spongebrush and kind of like curl up the top.
And he's done so without any problem or without any
communication that it was a problem.
Speaker 3 (01:42:39):
Now this particular time, when.
Speaker 9 (01:42:40):
Josiah sits down he says, hey, man, I just want
to let you know, like it's not my responsibility to
pick out his hair and do the sponge thing. I'm
just supposed to take care of it. And I'm like,
I'm paying for the haircut. He was like, I understand that,
but it's not my response. I'm like, then I point
out his soign I'm like, that is full service, right,
that's what Desimon says. I'm expecting full of service. He's like,
(01:43:02):
I understand that, but if you're not paying for it,
And I'm like, well, do you just need an extra
couple of dollars? Like am I selecting the wrong prompt
or the wrong option? And then it started to get
to a little point and he's like, all right, hold on,
let me let me think about it. And then we
started talking about something else and he came back. He's like,
all right, yeah, just throw me a couple of dollars.
But in my mind, it's not like I brought him
(01:43:23):
with his hair dirty or something like just pick off
the hair and.
Speaker 3 (01:43:25):
Do the little sponge. See, I don't know. I only
know like what it's like for me to go get
my haircut, so I don't know what it is for
Josiah or you to get your haircut. But what I'm
going to ask you is this, would it be like
if I brought Luke and his hair was a mess.
Because if I brought Luke like that, because Luke goes
to the same person that cuts my hair, Katrina.
Speaker 13 (01:43:46):
We're going to see her today.
Speaker 3 (01:43:47):
For Smith, if his hair is a mass or so
Smith's hair is a mass. Usually Luke pulls a hat
off and just goes and they wash his hair and
they do it. But is it different for a kid,
a white kid, than it is for a black cat.
I mean, I don't have no white keys.
Speaker 21 (01:44:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 15 (01:44:03):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:44:07):
Is what he did to.
Speaker 13 (01:44:11):
Is that considered styling? I would say, because that's where
I like Megan and I can equait if we If
I like I just went and got my hair done,
shout out to Kelly Sesci at one Society in Northville.
I've been going to her forever. But if I went
to her and I got my hair like caught and colored.
But if I then said, hey, can you like curl
it or do all these other things, that would be
(01:44:33):
considered styling, which is a different survey. Another charge take
for me For me, it's quick because I have short hair,
but for Megan that would be a process.
Speaker 35 (01:44:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:44:45):
Shout out to Dylan at Fiber Instrand in Toledo because
that's where we go.
Speaker 4 (01:44:48):
Say you're welcome.
Speaker 11 (01:44:49):
But cut, color, and style are three different charges and
bookings when I take the appointment, So that's why I
don't get my hair done. I'll get a blowout, or
if I pay for a style, I'll get a hairstyle
when I.
Speaker 4 (01:45:00):
Leave because a blowout us faster, so it's more of
their time.
Speaker 3 (01:45:03):
Okay, I don't know. I feel like y'all is a
whole women are a whole different.
Speaker 4 (01:45:07):
Category because it doesn't fit your current narrative.
Speaker 35 (01:45:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:45:10):
Well, but also I think it is a different one though,
for for kids, especially if you know you got Josiah's
got a good head of hair. You know, what's up? Cal?
Speaker 25 (01:45:21):
Hey, what's up?
Speaker 22 (01:45:22):
How y'all doing?
Speaker 3 (01:45:23):
Good morning? Cave's got an issue with the barber.
Speaker 25 (01:45:26):
Yeah, I was calling because I know when I've had
my afro and I'm going to get my hair cut
the barber at least who I was going to. They
always picked my hair out and they did the sun's curls,
so It's very confusing. Why somebody would make you pay
extra for something that's really not that much work, That's.
Speaker 3 (01:45:41):
What I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (01:45:43):
Crazy, Like I said, he said, I should come with
Josiah's hair already picked out, already sponge if that's what
I want, because what I'm paying for is just for
him to.
Speaker 3 (01:45:54):
Touch it up a little bit.
Speaker 25 (01:45:57):
No, because I've been to get my hair cut and
I've had thro and when I got there, they picked
my hair out, cut my hair, he did the sponge thing,
So it just sound like you're trying to squeeze out
a few extra dollars.
Speaker 4 (01:46:07):
I'm confused if this is happening at the beginning of
the service or the end. Is this his how he
is finishing?
Speaker 25 (01:46:13):
They picked my hair in the beginning, you know, to
make sure it was all right, and then and then
at the end, after they lined it up, they did
the sponge, So I guess it was the beginning and
end at the end. But my point is still it
sounded like that man was trying to squeeze extra dollars
out for left up.
Speaker 3 (01:46:31):
Yeah, Dwayne, what's up?
Speaker 15 (01:46:36):
All right?
Speaker 7 (01:46:37):
Guy?
Speaker 3 (01:46:37):
Dwayne's barber? Is that right, Dwayne?
Speaker 36 (01:46:39):
Or part time barber.
Speaker 3 (01:46:41):
Yeah, okay, give me your side of things.
Speaker 22 (01:46:43):
Yeah, you're a hundred percent right cas Like like the
guy said the last time, like you, you sit in
the chair and they pick your hair out like that
that's happening off top and then the style. Like I said,
it only takes a couple of seconds to deal so
it's not a big deal. I don't understand what's going
on with this bar but he found a little high bottom,
good white cat.
Speaker 3 (01:47:02):
Here's the thing I understand, keV. Like I take my
kids go to the same person that I go to.
Why do you not use the same barber that you
go to for Josiah? His mom didn't like he was
cutting her hair.
Speaker 9 (01:47:14):
I feel like they're like some some barbers have the
ability to cut adult hair and children here. I don't
know if every barber has that ability. Some guys should
just deal.
Speaker 3 (01:47:24):
With a does well. You know what, the only time
I think that a kid should go to a kid
place is when they sit on like a merrygo Round
or whatever. They used to have a place called Carnival
Cuts and Novae twelve.
Speaker 1 (01:47:34):
Ok.
Speaker 3 (01:47:34):
Small, it was like the coolest thing ever. I wanted
to get my hair cut there when I take the
kids there, Heather, what's up?
Speaker 37 (01:47:40):
Hey, Kevin's cheap pepper.
Speaker 3 (01:47:42):
Kevin's a cheap tap.
Speaker 15 (01:47:45):
Maybe Barbara remembered you.
Speaker 28 (01:47:47):
And he is already irritated because you didn't tip him good.
Speaker 12 (01:47:50):
And now here.
Speaker 3 (01:47:51):
Kev's all right, So let me ask you this.
Speaker 9 (01:47:53):
Let me ask you this, Heather. If the cut costs
twenty dollars, how much should the tim be.
Speaker 2 (01:48:01):
For a child?
Speaker 3 (01:48:04):
That's what I was.
Speaker 13 (01:48:05):
Tak on a twenty down hare. Can iip five bucks?
Speaker 3 (01:48:07):
I'm there, twenty dollars is pretty cheap for a haircut.
Give him a ten? And he not cutting cutting again?
Speaker 9 (01:48:12):
He lined enough taper in the sides, and he complained
about doing a little sponge and Pete, oh my god.
Speaker 20 (01:48:17):
By the way, then now you got to pay extra?
Speaker 23 (01:48:20):
Apparently it wasn't.
Speaker 36 (01:48:22):
That's why I wants to charge your extra.
Speaker 3 (01:48:24):
And kep talking about this on the radio. That kid
I will never be sitting in that chair over again
as long as I'm his aunt.
Speaker 6 (01:48:30):
His uncle.
Speaker 3 (01:48:30):
I'm not allowing that we go on Saturday. No, that
guy's gonna give your kid the worst haircut ever. And
Josiah deserved better than that, So Big Boss right exactly guys,
we got something very cool. You know who's on the
phone with us right now, Ladies and gentlemen on the
phone with us right now is NHL All Star Detroit
(01:48:51):
Red Wing and the best Michigan or in the world.
I love that we got him home. Alex Jabrinkett is
on the Mojo one main show right now. What's happening
in Alex?
Speaker 6 (01:49:03):
How are you good?
Speaker 40 (01:49:05):
How are you guys?
Speaker 3 (01:49:06):
Fantastic? First off, I cannot believe that we were able
to get you to wake up this early on a
game day. Do you not sleep intill like I don't know,
one in the afternoon or something like that for an
eight o'clock am.
Speaker 40 (01:49:18):
No, I got kids, I gotta wake up early. But no,
we have a we have morning skate anyways, so we
have to be at the rink, you know, we have
a ten to thirty morning skates. I'm usually here getting ready,
you know, probably right around this time I usually get
here anyways.
Speaker 22 (01:49:30):
So it was it was not a problem.
Speaker 3 (01:49:32):
I got to ask you with having you know, kids
and trying to you know, do the whole family thing, which,
by the way, I've seen you and your family. You
guys got a beautiful family. I don't know if I could,
you know, do the energy that I see you guys
do on the ice and still have energy in the
middle of the night to wake up for a feeding
or for you know, making eggoes for your kids.
Speaker 24 (01:49:54):
You know.
Speaker 40 (01:49:57):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, my wife does a lot of that.
She's uh, you know, she's the real all star in
the family, and she's you know, taking care of most
of that. So you know, she lets me do my
stuff on game days and and I'll pitch in when
I can, but you know, she's really the you know,
the ruler of the family.
Speaker 3 (01:50:15):
Where did you meet Tracy? Where'd you guys meet?
Speaker 40 (01:50:18):
I met Lindsay at just in high school? Yeah, Tracy's
my mom, Tracy.
Speaker 3 (01:50:22):
I don't know why if I was. Do you met
her in the world?
Speaker 31 (01:50:25):
You know?
Speaker 3 (01:50:25):
Where's you know? Where did you know? Where did you
meet Lindsay? Where'd you guys meet her?
Speaker 40 (01:50:29):
We met in high school. One of my mutual friends
I played hockey with. I went to her high school,
so we didn't go to the same school, but just
through through a hockey buddy and yeah, the rest of
his history.
Speaker 3 (01:50:42):
Did you go to Farmington School? Did you go to
Harrison or yeah, I went to Harrison for one year,
so you and then you did what the whole hockey
thing where they pull you out and they go to Senya,
uh to like.
Speaker 40 (01:50:55):
Yeah, I went to prep school in Chicago for one
year after that and then I went to junior so
I went to the OHL after that and yeah, then
I went to Chicago played for the Blackhawks.
Speaker 6 (01:51:07):
And Buddy, I'm here.
Speaker 3 (01:51:08):
How happy are you to be home?
Speaker 1 (01:51:09):
Though?
Speaker 40 (01:51:11):
Yeah, it's awesome, I think, you know, just having everything,
having you know, my parents here, having Lindsay's parents here,
you know, just with the kids and everything. Obviously a
lot of help, but obviously just a lot more family
time and stuff. They get to see their their grandkids
more than you know, just twice a year or something
like that. So it's, uh, it's a perfect spot. I
(01:51:33):
love the love the guys on the team, love love
the area. You know, it's fun coming to the rink
every every day and just grinding with these guys.
Speaker 9 (01:51:41):
All right, you can't see us right now, but in
the studio we are all decked out in our rear
wings gear. We are so excited for the season. It
kicks off to night against the Penguins. How excited are
you to get this thing ready to go?
Speaker 27 (01:51:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 40 (01:51:56):
Super excited. I feel like we've been We've been working
hard for the past couple of weeks, training camp, you know,
over with, and now the real things starts. So we're
definitely excited. And uh, there's a lot of energy in
the flocker room and I know in the city too.
I think we feel that, and you know, we're definitely
excited to get that home crowd tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:52:14):
When you see what's going on with you know, obviously
you saw the Lions last year and this year, but
you can see what the Tigers are doing and it's
a very very young team, the Tigers with a couple
of really good veterans on their team. Do you guys
see that as a catalyst to get you guys going
because you guys came this close to making the playoffs
last year?
Speaker 40 (01:52:33):
Yeah, one hundred percent. I think we we kind of
feed off that energy. I know the city's fired up
for them. We're all fired up. We're watching every game
and really dialed into that right now. So you know,
I think the extra energy is awesome. It's it's so
good to see them doing good. And obviously the Lions too,
and you know, you kind of feed off that energy,
(01:52:55):
and the sports fans are are finally you know, getting
what they deserve and some good teams, and you know,
I know, it's a tough, tough couple of years or
you know, maybe a little longer than a couple of
years for a lot of these guys teams. So we're
hoping to add to that excitement and you know, really
come out, come out this year strong.
Speaker 3 (01:53:12):
All right, So we got Alex to bring it on
with us right now. How many guys on the team
are single guys like that that aren't married at all?
Are there a lot?
Speaker 40 (01:53:22):
Not too many? I don't think. I feel like we
have a little bit of an older team, but there's
a couple of single guys. I wouldn't say too many.
Speaker 3 (01:53:29):
Though, because here's the thing we were hoping for. You
we have uh three beautiful single women on this radio
show and they love athletes. Okay, So so we wanted
we wanted to try to see which one of these
guys could help win tickets for a listener. And what
was the contest that we were gonna do, Lydia, Shoot
(01:53:52):
your shot? Shoot your shot? How does that sound? We're
gonna do shoot your shot, if you if if these
earls right now, shoot their shot right now. You pick
which one is the one that should win tickets for
one of our listeners. Eight four to four Mojo Live
eight four four six six five sixty five four eight
listeners have a choice to pick kp Lydia or Megan.
(01:54:15):
Do you ever listen to the show? You probably don't
listen to the show, do you?
Speaker 40 (01:54:18):
I used to listen all the time, but I haven't
and maybe a little bit.
Speaker 3 (01:54:22):
Okay, can you? Can you come back to us and
listen to us every now and again? I swear to you.
I promise will be fun.
Speaker 40 (01:54:28):
I'll come back.
Speaker 3 (01:54:30):
I promise you. By the way, did I ever tell
you my embarrassing story with Alex to brink It?
Speaker 13 (01:54:34):
No, but now I want to hear it.
Speaker 3 (01:54:36):
Alex to brink It and I golf at the same
place and I saw him come off the golf course
and I had no idea. Alex, Please don't get mad
at me, but I'm I'm not really a huge hockey guy.
I like, actually used to get made fun of all
the time by Spike when I would talk hockey because
I don't know anything about hockey, and I saw Alex
to brink It and I go, hey, did you guys
have a good time today? And I'm like talking to
(01:54:57):
you at when you guys came off the court and
I go into the locker room and one of the
guys goes, do you know who that was? And I
said no, he goes, that's Alex to brink It from
the Red Wings, and I'm like, oh my god, I
felt like such an ale I was embarrassed. But you
were very kind, you were nice. You were like telling
me about how your golf game was that day, and
you were very talkative. So I felt I felt probably
(01:55:18):
not very good. Oh no, come on, better than mine.
I'm telling you. I'm a I'm a twenty two handicap.
I'm horrible. Hold on a second. All right, So here
we got some people on the phone with us right now. Alexis,
you're gonna play with KP? Are you there?
Speaker 20 (01:55:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:55:33):
Okay, Alexis is with KP? Where are you from? Alexis?
Say hi to Alex to brink It from the Red Wings?
Speaker 40 (01:55:40):
Hi, Alex, Hey, how's it going?
Speaker 3 (01:55:43):
Next contestant? Here is Amanda. Amanda, You're gonna play with Lydia?
Speaker 27 (01:55:48):
Hi?
Speaker 3 (01:55:48):
Amanda, Hi, Amanda's from Romulus. How you doing? Say hi
to Alex to brink It.
Speaker 15 (01:55:55):
Hi, Alex, how good?
Speaker 3 (01:55:57):
How are you fantastic? All right? And then third, and
finally and probably most important, Michelle is playing with Megan.
Michelle's from Taylor. Hi Michelle, Bye, Michelle.
Speaker 4 (01:56:10):
I'm feeling very confident in the puns I've created for us.
Speaker 3 (01:56:14):
All right, And also say hello to Alex to brink It.
Speaker 36 (01:56:19):
Hi Alex.
Speaker 13 (01:56:21):
Alex is going, we need excit.
Speaker 3 (01:56:25):
Alex is going, I'll never call into this radio show
ever again. Shoot your shot?
Speaker 4 (01:56:32):
Are we going one by one by one? My full
speech at one time, So.
Speaker 3 (01:56:35):
We're going one by one by one Alex. And hypothetically,
because obviously we don't want to pimp out one of
these single hockey players for your team unless they want to,
the girls are going to shoot their shot at trying
to get a date in you introducing them to one
of the single guys on the team. Megan will start first. Megan,
shoot your shot with Alex to Brinkett, trying to set
(01:56:57):
you up with one of the guys.
Speaker 6 (01:56:58):
What would be your ye bullet point?
Speaker 4 (01:57:01):
So, Hey, Alex, I don't know if you know this about.
Speaker 11 (01:57:05):
Me, but I was actually raised in a travel hockey family.
Speaker 4 (01:57:10):
So I have some good news for any of the
single players on your team.
Speaker 11 (01:57:13):
I weirdly find the smell of hockey equipment that has
been sitting in the trunk for three days very nostalgic,
and I kind of like it.
Speaker 4 (01:57:21):
Oh, okay, coma about a smelly car?
Speaker 3 (01:57:24):
Do you know the smell? Alex? You probably know the smell,
don't you.
Speaker 40 (01:57:27):
I do know the smell, but that might be a
red flag that might.
Speaker 31 (01:57:32):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (01:57:33):
Okay, my child, Alex. Next, next up, we're gonna have
KP with Alexis heir KP. Go ahead, shoot your shot.
Speaker 14 (01:57:42):
Hi, Alexis, You're gonna win these tickets because I don't cook,
I don't clean, but I will if you wear sniptoe
boots and you drive a truck and uh that's all.
Speaker 3 (01:57:54):
Okay, all right, there you go, Alex to Brinkett. What
did you think of that one?
Speaker 40 (01:57:57):
Alex, Yeah, sounds sounds good. I mean I'm maybe not
the cooking and cleaning. I think, uh, you know, we're
pretty big into that. I think we need some some
good food and yeah, and clean.
Speaker 14 (01:58:09):
How well, if anyone's wearing cowboy boots, I might I
might cook clean.
Speaker 3 (01:58:13):
Do we have any country fans on that team? Are
you a country fan? Alex?
Speaker 40 (01:58:18):
Yeah, yeah, I like country music.
Speaker 3 (01:58:19):
Okay, all right? What about Lydia last but not least Lydia?
Speaker 13 (01:58:23):
Okay, I would have to say.
Speaker 5 (01:58:24):
I'm Keldyanne.
Speaker 13 (01:58:25):
I'm homegrown. I don't cook, but my mom does.
Speaker 5 (01:58:28):
We have good Keldian food that I can learn.
Speaker 13 (01:58:32):
I can pray the rosary.
Speaker 5 (01:58:34):
I can recite it.
Speaker 13 (01:58:34):
Really well if you have anyone who's of Christian face.
Speaker 4 (01:58:37):
But I can also say NICKI minas.
Speaker 3 (01:58:39):
Lyrics, Oh my god, Nick.
Speaker 5 (01:58:46):
Anything I ever aft Wayne? I never asked Drake for
all my life, man afs sake.
Speaker 3 (01:58:51):
Okay, she does that in rosary? Alex, your thoughts? All right?
Here we go, Alex to brink it. They tried to
shoot their shots. Let's see who do you pick, Alex?
Do you pick Megan kp or Lydia.
Speaker 27 (01:59:13):
Let's go with Megan.
Speaker 6 (01:59:15):
Megan we di hockey.
Speaker 3 (01:59:20):
Town, Alex, Michelle, you're a winner. Congratulations, Alex to brinktt
just won you tickets to go see the Red Wings.
He get your tickets this season Detroit Redwings dot Com. Alex,
we've taken too much of your time. If tonight Alex
to brink Ittt goes out there and scores a couple
(01:59:42):
of goals, then he's got to call us every single
morning before his games.
Speaker 40 (01:59:48):
Sounds like a deal.
Speaker 3 (01:59:49):
I'm gonna have a conversation with Lindsay, we're gonna talk
about this, and we're gonna make sure that that you
do that. Otherwise you're doing every single morning breakfast for
the kids. Alex.
Speaker 9 (02:00:00):
Tell whoever needs to know, whether it's PR Marketing, whoever,
to let the Mojo in the morning show, ring that bell.
Speaker 3 (02:00:07):
Come on, we gotta ring the bell. Baby. Come on, Alex.
I won't bother you on the golf course. If you
set it up, I'll make sure I'll find all your
balls for you. Okay, perfect. Appreciate you, buddy, Thanks so
much for waking up with Mojo in the morning. We
love you, man.
Speaker 40 (02:00:26):
Yep, thank you, guys. Appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (02:00:27):
Wouldn't that be the coolest thing ever you grow up
in the town, you saw your heroes win Stanley Cupps,
and then you bring a Stanley Cup back to the
team that hasn't been in the playoffs in a long
long time. That would be like a dream come true.
Speaker 6 (02:00:42):
Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 3 (02:00:45):
All right, Shannon with what's trending right now in the
Dirty on the thirty Shannon, good morning.
Speaker 13 (02:00:49):
Good morning. Well as Florida residents are dealing with the
aftermath of Hurricane Milton and Helene still for that matter,
that is all that is on their minds survival. But
for some Swifties, there's only one thing on their minds,
and that's the Era's Tour. Taylor's set to arrive in
Miami next Thursday, October eighteenth, where she's going to play
(02:01:11):
three shows, and I have of those shows. Swifties with
tickets two of those Miami concerts are freaking out online
that they might end up being canceled in the wake
of the hurricanes. So some Floridians are hitting back at
concerned Swifties for complaining about the concert when people's lives
and livelihoods and homes are at risk or have been devastated.
(02:01:36):
Others online get it, like this Swiftie who said people
are allowed to be afraid and upset that Eras Tour
Miami could get canceled. It's not insensitive. They're not saying
it's more important than destruction but they've been looking forward
to this for months. It's the tour of a lifetime
and they've spent a lot of money on it. Stop
policing people who are just voicing their sadness that they
(02:01:57):
may miss out on something important to them.
Speaker 3 (02:02:00):
Wow, that's I mean, people, this is probably too soon
for that, you know what I mean.
Speaker 13 (02:02:04):
And a side story here, by the way, and you
mentioned this last hour, but this is an incredible thing.
Feeding America announce that Taylor donated five million dollars to
the relief effort serving Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina
due to Hurricanes Milton and Helene. So that's going to
help them provide some you know, essential food, clean water supplies,
rebuild and recover to those in need.
Speaker 3 (02:02:26):
Credible. And I'm assuming that if Taylor heard her fans
getting all upset over the fact that there may be
issues with the tour, that she would be like, people's
lives are more at stake than a tour.
Speaker 13 (02:02:38):
I haven't seen her comment on that yet.
Speaker 9 (02:02:39):
I mean, nothing speaks louder than five million dollars to surely, Yeah,
that is very true.
Speaker 13 (02:02:44):
Diddy is now accusing the government, the federal government of
misconduct related to leaking evidence to the media that he
says is preventing him from getting a fair trial. Lawyers
for Diddy are seeking a court order that would keep
a potential jury from considering such evidence like the hotel
(02:03:05):
surveillance footage of him violently assaulting his ex Cassie that
we all saw, or the dismissal of all of the
charges if it's proven that the government was the source
of that league. They claimed. The video published by CNN
was part of a month long campaign initiated by prosecutors
(02:03:26):
and federal law enforcement agents to raise public hostility against
Diddy before a trial could even happen. And lastly, a
recent survey conducted by an end of life care terity
revealed this is kind of depressing, but it's very interesting
to me. The top ten songs that people request to
hear during their final moments here on this earth. Over
(02:03:49):
one thousand respondents who lost loved ones shared their request
for the chosen song to hear as they were passing.
Speaker 3 (02:04:00):
Breath Center.
Speaker 13 (02:04:01):
Yeah they want to hear music, Okay, So the most
requested song flip those ones that you have on the
board their mojo. The most requested song is Frank Sinatra's
Byway this song.
Speaker 12 (02:04:16):
And the end is.
Speaker 13 (02:04:24):
Yeah another one, f Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love
You Really, Tina Turner simply the Best also on the list.
Now there are some more upbeat ones, Cyndi Laupper's Girls
Just want to Have Fun and Louis Armstrong's What a
Wonderful World on the list. But yeah, I'm trying to think.
(02:04:45):
Let me see this list. Judy Garland over the Rainbow,
Williams Angels Beautiful, Christina Aguilera Hay You, the Beatles, These
are the days of our lives by Queen so interesting.
Speaker 3 (02:04:58):
When my dad passed, we did play music and the
song that we listened to as my dad was passing
and going on, it was kind of emotional for us
to watch him take his last breast was.
Speaker 12 (02:05:11):
I liked.
Speaker 6 (02:05:13):
The eye.
Speaker 4 (02:05:16):
I know I was waiting for that, So I want
to walk ahead and.
Speaker 3 (02:05:23):
Turn it up. He said, turn it up. I can't
hear it. A vulnera moment.
Speaker 13 (02:05:29):
Picture for all of today's dirty cuts up on the
podcast on the.
Speaker 3 (02:05:35):
Had to Do. I saw it through.
Speaker 6 (02:05:41):
Without the exemption.
Speaker 3 (02:05:44):
I climb.
Speaker 21 (02:05:47):
Each charged car, each capital step.
Speaker 3 (02:05:53):
Along my way, but more more more more than this.
I did it. I did it Chelsea's way.
Speaker 6 (02:06:11):
Directly from the source in the Morning's Dirty on.
Speaker 1 (02:06:14):
The thirty.
Speaker 3 (02:06:16):
Man, This Morning's War the Roses. It's gonna hit home
for a few people, and it's also gonna really be
one of those ones where you're gonna be listening to
it shaking your head. It's the War of the Roses.
Here and the Mojo in the Morning show. A daughter
finds out that her dad's cheating. And in just a
little bit you'll hear obviously from the dad, and you'll
(02:06:39):
hear the daughter have to listen to this. But then
the mom comes on with us, take a listen to
the War of the Roses catching cheaters.
Speaker 6 (02:06:45):
I'm proud of it. I'm sorry. Get your home for
War of the Roses Mojo in.
Speaker 3 (02:06:50):
The Morning Melinda. Wow, not the normal War the Roses
that we have. But Melinda is suspicious that someone is cheating.
And who is it that you're suspicious? Is the cheater.
Speaker 36 (02:07:06):
My dad?
Speaker 3 (02:07:08):
You think that your dad is cheating on your mom?
Speaker 36 (02:07:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:07:14):
And first off, can I ask questions? How old are you?
Speaker 36 (02:07:19):
I'm twenty seven?
Speaker 3 (02:07:21):
Okay, because I don't know if I would do this,
if you were somebody that wasn't your own adult, you
know what I mean, like in a situation.
Speaker 13 (02:07:29):
But and what's giving you the feeling that he's cheating?
Speaker 36 (02:07:34):
I saw somebody on a ring camera more than once,
Like this woman. I've seen her a couple of times,
and I don't think it's a delivery person.
Speaker 13 (02:07:44):
So what is she doing on the camera?
Speaker 36 (02:07:48):
I see her walking down our driveway?
Speaker 3 (02:07:52):
And who's is your dad home when she's on your
ring camera?
Speaker 36 (02:07:58):
I mean, I'm assuming he is. I mean, I know
my mom's not there, So this is.
Speaker 3 (02:08:03):
At times that your mom's not home, you see a
woman that's coming to.
Speaker 36 (02:08:05):
Your house, Yeah, it's one of my mom's at work.
Speaker 3 (02:08:10):
Have you run this by your mom and talk to
your mom about it?
Speaker 24 (02:08:15):
No?
Speaker 19 (02:08:15):
I talked to my dad and he just like blew
it off.
Speaker 3 (02:08:20):
How did your dad react when you asked him about it?
Speaker 36 (02:08:24):
He totally blew me off. But normally like he would
kind of look into it, like it's unlike him to
be so.
Speaker 28 (02:08:34):
Scared about it.
Speaker 3 (02:08:35):
Yeah, you doing this is going to get yourself in
the middle of a situation with your parents where your
dad's going to feel like you don't trust him. Are
you okay with wanting to do that to your relationship, Yeah.
Speaker 36 (02:08:52):
Because I don't want him doing that to my mom.
Speaker 3 (02:08:56):
Okay, And you not going to your mom? Do you
think she will be okay with you doing this and
making it so public?
Speaker 13 (02:09:03):
That's what I'm worried about.
Speaker 36 (02:09:05):
Well, I just wanted to be sure I was right
before I told her.
Speaker 6 (02:09:09):
I get that all right.
Speaker 3 (02:09:11):
We're going to call to see where he's going to
send a dozen free roses. And what's your mom's first name?
Speaker 36 (02:09:20):
My mom's name is Stina.
Speaker 3 (02:09:23):
We're hoping that the flowers go to Stina, who is
Melinda's mom to ward the roses.
Speaker 15 (02:09:44):
Hello.
Speaker 14 (02:09:45):
Hi is this Ja?
Speaker 27 (02:09:48):
That's Jersey, Hi J.
Speaker 13 (02:09:50):

Speaker 27 (02:10:24):
All right.
Speaker 13 (02:10:25):

Speaker 13 (02:10:52):
We honestly buy lists from other companies that you've purchased from.
Speaker 30 (02:10:57):
Yep.
Speaker 13 (02:10:58):
Yeah, So these flowers can go out today, learn and
go out here in just a couple of hours this afternoon.
So I just need a first in the last name

Nope, Cherry's phone number. Do you have Cherry's pone number?
Speaker 27 (02:11:31):
Two for eight mm hm.
Speaker 3 (02:11:35):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 13 (02:11:37):

a second. So anything that you would say in a card,
(02:12:16):

here we go, J three two one.
Speaker 27 (02:12:27):
I help these flowers and res beautiful as you are?
Speaker 2 (02:12:32):
Is that it sure?
Speaker 13 (02:12:35):
Okay? I also have to let you know the Jay
that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes.
Are you okay with that?
Speaker 1 (02:12:43):
Oh?
Speaker 27 (02:12:43):
Yes, you have my position.
Speaker 3 (02:12:45):
Okay, Jay, I'm gonna jump on. Just to wrap up
the call, Okay, I want to let you know just
a couple last things and then we'll send those flowers off.
Speaker 23 (02:12:55):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:12:56):
One of the last things is that Jay, while we've
been talking to you and you've been sending flowers, your
daughter has been listening into this call. Oh and Melinda
just heard you send flowers to a woman that was
(02:13:19):
not her mom. I, Linda, do you know do you
know this woman? No, so this is not somebody that
you've ever heard her name at all. Now, and obviously
(02:13:45):
we're assuming that this is the same woman that is
seen on your camera. I want you to do me
a favor. I want you to hang on the phone
for just one second.
Speaker 36 (02:13:53):
Okay, okay, this.
Speaker 6 (02:13:58):
Is the home Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning,

Speaker 3 (02:14:27):
When we come back here next, Melinda's mom joins the
Mojo in the Morning show and reaction to this war
of the roses, We'll be right back. Don't go anywhere.
Speaker 6 (02:14:39):
Joined the discussion now eighty four four Mojo Live.
Speaker 3 (02:14:46):
This is Mojo in the Morning. While we uh were
trying to figure out how to get Melinda's dad back
on the phone, Melinda ended up calling her mom to
(02:15:06):
explain to her what had just happened. And her mom
is on the phone with us right now, we cannot
get her dad back on Stina. Are you there, Hi,
I'm here. Hello, Hi, Stina, It's Mojo in the Morning,
Mojo and Shannon and Megan and keV and everybody else here.
Speaker 13 (02:15:28):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 1 (02:15:31):
And I.
Speaker 3 (02:15:33):
Appreciate you for talking to us, but you were just
having a conversation with Melinda about what we just did,
and we wanted to kind of just get from you,
you to tell us what you just told us a
second ago when we weren't able to record you.
Speaker 28 (02:15:57):
Oh, and I just think you should just ignore itt,
just ignore it.
Speaker 3 (02:16:08):
Just ignore that she found out that her dad's sending
flowers to another woman.
Speaker 28 (02:16:16):
There's nothing I can do about it. It's not like
it's the first time.
Speaker 13 (02:16:20):
Were you aware that this was like currently happening.
Speaker 28 (02:16:26):
Not specifically, but you know, I just it's like I said,
this has happened before, as you know, so I think
there's nothing to be done about it.
Speaker 4 (02:16:41):
I'm kind of shocked because you don't sound that upset
about this.
Speaker 28 (02:16:47):
Well you know, when it first happened, it almost broke me.
But then I think it just have to, you know,
make your decisions. So there's nothing. I mean, look, he's
a good dad to you. I think that's what you
should poke a song.
Speaker 3 (02:17:03):
So this has been something that has been an ongoing
thing that he's done and where he's had other women
in his life.
Speaker 28 (02:17:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, I mean Linda, you know that.
Speaker 36 (02:17:17):
I'm sure you remember.
Speaker 27 (02:17:22):
So yeah.
Speaker 20 (02:17:22):
I mean it's.
Speaker 28 (02:17:25):
I think initially it was like, okay.
Speaker 36 (02:17:27):
What am I going to do?
Speaker 40 (02:17:27):
And then.
Speaker 28 (02:17:30):
You just sort of make your bed.
Speaker 13 (02:17:32):
You know, do you know who this particular woman is?
Speaker 28 (02:17:37):
No, I don't want to know. I don't want to know.
Speaker 21 (02:17:41):
I don't know, Melnda.
Speaker 6 (02:17:43):
How you doing?
Speaker 36 (02:17:46):
I just like, don't understand why you're putting.
Speaker 23 (02:17:52):
Up with this.
Speaker 28 (02:17:56):
Well you know, I mean we got married when I
was younger than you.
Speaker 20 (02:18:00):
Thing about that, and.
Speaker 28 (02:18:05):
You know, it's sweeping together a long time, and it's uh,
you know, I mean I think you just take the
person for who they are and move on.
Speaker 9 (02:18:16):
You know, miss Stina, I'm trying to understand this and
maybe you can help me. Since you guys have been
together so long, you don't even see this as cheating
on the relationship.
Speaker 1 (02:18:27):
This is.
Speaker 22 (02:18:30):
I wouldn't go that far.
Speaker 28 (02:18:33):
I would not say that it's it's.
Speaker 36 (02:18:37):
I wouldn't.
Speaker 28 (02:18:38):
I wouldn't wish this for you know, Melinda, But it's
what it is, and you know, I think you just
I guess I try to focus on the positive parts of.
Speaker 20 (02:18:52):
You know.
Speaker 28 (02:18:52):
I think relationships are complicated.
Speaker 4 (02:18:54):
Are you worried about what you're telling Melinda when you
stay with him? When he does this and now she
knows about it?
Speaker 34 (02:19:04):
Oh mean question.
Speaker 28 (02:19:13):
I don't know. I would wish differently for her, but
you know, she'll have to see. You know, life is.
You know, relationships are not easy. They just are complicated.
Speaker 13 (02:19:27):
But does it change things for you now that she
is aware? Because I'm guessing that the reason you stayed
was for her, and now that she is aware, I
guess I would I guess.
Speaker 27 (02:19:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 28 (02:19:44):
Maybe after this conversation I'll think about this more, but I,
I mean, this is just how it's always been, so
it's hard for me to imagine it's like starting over
and thinking it'd be different with someone else.
Speaker 3 (02:19:58):
I guess I'm gonna take a lot of this and
let you guys talk to each other so that we're
not getting all your family's business out here. But if
there was an opportunity to be able to talk to
your dad right now and say something to your dad,
what would you say to him?
Speaker 36 (02:20:21):
I'll just tom, I'm really disappointed because he always says
I should be with somebody who's amazing to me, and
I can't believe you not like that with my mom.
Speaker 12 (02:20:35):
Yeah, oh that makes me crying.
Speaker 34 (02:20:37):
Me you should be with someone.
Speaker 36 (02:20:45):
Well, I guess I just think you deserve that too.
Speaker 2 (02:20:47):
Mom.
Speaker 34 (02:20:51):
That's nice to hear.
Speaker 3 (02:20:53):
I'm gonna let you guys have your time with each other. Okay, yeah,
all right, hold on one second. Mojoe in the morning, Amanda.
Speaker 34 (02:21:05):
Hi, Hello, first time long time?
Speaker 3 (02:21:11):
Yeah yeah, yeah, it's by the way, it's so weird
to do a first time long time after my mom crying,
so I feel weird about it. So, but you definitely
deserve your first.
Speaker 6 (02:21:20):
Time long time.
Speaker 3 (02:21:21):
Go ahead. Do you want to make comment on this? Yeah?
Speaker 34 (02:21:24):
I really feel like the mom is just in denial
and oh my goodness, it just breaks my heart for
that daughter.
Speaker 3 (02:21:32):
I very sad that she hears this h this way,
and a lot of people were upset that we did this.
There was a lot of people that thought that, you know,
even though she's you know, a grown adult woman, that
she should stay out of her mom's business. Absolutely, And
I think, honestly, somebody needs to be there for the mom,
(02:21:53):
because you're right, I think the mom is in a
little bit of denial.
Speaker 34 (02:21:57):
Oh yeah, she needs all the support you can get
one or per son. And I don't think there's anything
wrong with the daughter. I have two myself, and.
Speaker 2 (02:22:07):
Oh just take it.
Speaker 34 (02:22:09):
It's just crazy. But I'm glad that she did this,
and you know, shame on him, and I just hope
the boy has spelled her her mom actually get the
grip of this and actually realizes that it's wrong.
Speaker 3 (02:22:25):
Yeah, it's it's not good for your daughter to see
how you're living this life right now. You wouldn't want
her to do the same. Initial A wants to be
voice disguised. Why is that initial A?
Speaker 47 (02:22:36):
All right?
Speaker 41 (02:22:38):
Just because I'm going to make the same thing and
I kind of just don't want my business everywhere are.
Speaker 3 (02:22:44):
You the daughter or the mom in the situation. Okay,
so you're the mom that is trying to protect your
kids from the infidelity that's going on in your relationship.
Speaker 41 (02:22:57):
Yes, you know, and I know what people listening probably think.
It's absolutely insane.
Speaker 1 (02:23:03):
You know.
Speaker 41 (02:23:04):
It's the last few years has been done just to
especially if my children are involved. When you have a
history with the person, you know, you try to give
them the benefit of the doubt that you know things
are going to change, that you know they truly love
you and they have their own issues to work out,
you know.
Speaker 13 (02:23:23):
But do you think your kids are aware? Do you
think they have any idea? No, my kids are young, Okay.
Speaker 41 (02:23:29):
So they Yeah, so they don't have any idea yet,
you know. But I do have a daughter, and it
is something that I struggle with, you know, because you know,
like stems that I don't wish this on.
Speaker 36 (02:23:42):
My daughter at all.
Speaker 41 (02:23:43):
Help and oh my son ends up being a better person.
Speaker 3 (02:23:47):
Still, how long have you been aware?
Speaker 12 (02:23:51):
This has been going on for.
Speaker 3 (02:23:54):
Years and with the same.
Speaker 9 (02:23:56):
Person, with one person, or with multiple people, multiple people.
Speaker 41 (02:24:02):
It has been me occurring with some of the same people.
Speaker 3 (02:24:04):
Though, Well, you said the kids are young, they don't
know about this hearing this and what you know, uh,
Melinda's going through with her mom. Stina, What do you
think that does for you? Does that make you think, oh, boy,
I don't what was that? What does that make you think?
Does it make you think, like, hey, this might be
(02:24:26):
my inspiration to get out of this situation?
Speaker 41 (02:24:31):
I mean yes, to know, Like like I said, you know,
it's yeah, I kind of feel the same way as her.
Speaker 12 (02:24:37):
You know, it is what it is.
Speaker 41 (02:24:40):
You know, I feel like I'm who faced it at
this point, and you know, but like I said, you know, yeah,
it is kind of inspiring to know that other people
are going to the same thing, and you know, maybe
one day it will change. Maybe one day I will
have it courage, and you know it.
Speaker 3 (02:24:57):
Does for you.
Speaker 13 (02:24:57):
I really hope it does for you, and we all
hope best for you.
Speaker 3 (02:25:01):
Mojo other morning Erica. Hi Erica, Hi, good morning, Good
morning boy. Right, you were one of our first people
that called in to us here about this. Explain your situation.
Speaker 10 (02:25:14):
So when I was about sixteen seventeen years old, I
actually received a text message from my dad that said
I love you blah blah blah, which was his girlfriend
at the time my parents were married. So I did
tell my mom like, hey, I think bad's cheating. I
received this text message and she was like, I kind
(02:25:36):
of assumed. And it ended up being our uniform delivery
girl wow, for our family's business.
Speaker 34 (02:25:45):
So she was well aware.
Speaker 10 (02:25:46):
My dad was married for many years and it ended
up leading to their divorce.
Speaker 27 (02:25:52):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (02:25:53):
What did your dad do when he found out that
you saw that text message and knew that he was
a cheater.
Speaker 10 (02:26:00):
Definitely was not happy. We had a very rocky relationship
for quite a few years throughout college. Is when I finally,
you know, we grew back together and we're pretty close now.
But he is still dating the same girl.
Speaker 1 (02:26:14):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (02:26:15):
It's interesting. You know, you talk about how you had
a rocky relationship, you would think that he'd be doing
everything he can to kiss your ass to make sure
that he didn't lose you as a daughter.
Speaker 4 (02:26:24):
Or did he blame you?
Speaker 10 (02:26:27):
I don't think he necessarily blamed me. But he also
left me to watch my younger brother so he can
go out with her all the time.
Speaker 25 (02:26:36):
After the divorce.
Speaker 3 (02:26:37):
Oh wow, how about Well, there is.
Speaker 10 (02:26:39):
A lot of times like he wouldn't come home. I
have a younger brother, from his other previous affair that
my mom stayed with him, oh wow, and he would
be out partying and stuff like that with the new girlfriend.
So was very rocky until I moved out at nineteen.
Speaker 3 (02:26:56):
How about this as the daughter and when Melinda's mom said,
I want better for you as a daughter? Does this
make you look at guys a little differently knowing that
what your dad did, or does it make you look
for guys differently when you're looking for a guy that
you want to be with.
Speaker 10 (02:27:15):
It definitely made it very hard to trust anyone for
many years. So luckily I got a man now that
I'm married to, happily married for the last three years,
and I can trust him fully. But there's still those
doubts because you know, I look at my dad and
I'm like, he would never be the guy who did
you know would do that? He was a great father,
still is a great father, but he just, yeah, wasn't.
Speaker 34 (02:27:38):
A good spouse.
Speaker 3 (02:27:39):
Amazing phone call. Thank you for Collin. I think that
will help a lot of people, and especially Melinda, crazy crazy,
crazy crazy, a lot of people dealing with us. I'm
still amazed to see that there are people that are
upset that the daughter's getting involved in this relationship, like
saying that the daughter has no business to be involved
in her parents' relationship. I don't understand that point of view.
(02:28:02):
It's obviously there. It's her family, right, She's trying to
protect her mom, and sometimes as a child, you become
the protector for your parent or the roses the whole of.
Speaker 6 (02:28:12):
The second date update. This is Mojo in the Morning,
Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the thirty.
Speaker 3 (02:28:23):
Shannon, with you Dirty on the thirty, Shannon, do a
hurricane update to start off. Are you going, yeah, let's
do that FeAs Joe from The Joe Show on with
us right now? How you doing, hun Good morning?
Speaker 27 (02:28:34):
Good? Yeah, I know.
Speaker 2 (02:28:37):
I was very thrown off by Joe.
Speaker 13 (02:28:40):
I had to go with it to just make it better.
Speaker 4 (02:28:42):
I almost expected him to go, hey, baby girl, can
I can?
Speaker 3 (02:28:46):
I say one of the coolest things ever. I got
a million and one text messages asking how you were
doing Joe. Missus Schulaski, your middle school teacher at Abbott
Middle School, West Bloomfield, Michigan. Rip to Abbott. It's no
longer there now it's just a TV show. But she
checked in with me yesterday you meant a lot to
(02:29:08):
her as one of her students. She was so worried
about you and so happy to hear that you're doing
okay and that that you and Alissa and all the
kids on the Joe Show are doing well.
Speaker 2 (02:29:20):
Yeah, it's it's been. It's been definitely amazing to see
the amount of people reach out and I'm all good.
I'm all good. Everyone on the show is all good,
including Terry, who we talked about yesterday. We were really
worried about even she faired up with all the storm
surge and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (02:29:35):
Joe, seeing the videos that we've seen from you know,
Tampa and seeing the trop you know Tropicana Field where
the rays play devastating and this is your home. You know,
if something like this happened in Detroit, Toledo or Grand Rapids,
we would all just be completely torn by this and
(02:29:56):
devastated by this. How do you pick up the pieces
from here? And how do you help your listeners lives
get back into order in your own lives?
Speaker 35 (02:30:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:30:05):
Right now, assess we're just trying to figure out and
checking in someone who does so much for our show.
She's our promotions director, so she handles all the prizing
and whatnot. She completely lost her roof, does not have
a place to stay now, so she's trying to figure
out what.
Speaker 36 (02:30:23):
To do with that.
Speaker 3 (02:30:24):
So it's Nikki, and Nikki is one of the best
marketing people in our entire company. She's unbelievable, hands down.
Speaker 2 (02:30:30):
Yeah, so her and her husband, who also works for iHeart,
they lost their roof. We're I mean, we're just trying
to check in with everyone, a list of my girlfriends
from Clearwater born and raised. Immediately when she woke up,
it's just calling her family and hoping she can get
a hold of them. Some phones aren't working, some people
don't have power, so you know, if they didn't prepare
(02:30:54):
as much as they should have, now, they're not going
to be able to get in contact with anyone until
they can. It's right now, it's just assessment and then
the moment that that's done, Florida's Florida is strong, and
you know it's it's literally it's the two greatest states,
two greatest type of people, Florida and Michigan. So we'll
(02:31:17):
bounce back, and we'll bounce back quick. But it's just
bouncing back from two weeks ago with Helene and yeah,
now Milton, and then there's a chance and this actually
happened back in two thousand and four, but there is
a chance that we're going to get hit by another
hurricane on Wednesday. It's looking like that would have Yeah,
(02:31:40):
that would have similar effects as what we had two
weeks ago. So storm surges and flooding. This one was
all about wind and a lot of rain. Not a
lot of like actual like ocean water coming up on land,
but a lot of rain and wind. Even inland. We
have a very big listening audience. It stretches very like
(02:32:02):
all around the state of Florida, even inland, like where
the Tigers play. They're spring trainings in Lakeland, Florida, and
that you know, completely flooded. And those are people too
where while we were doing our hurricane preparation shows and
just taking calls from everyone, that was all people that
were calling in saying hey, i'm you know, I'm good,
(02:32:23):
and if people need anything, we'll come out to Saint
Pete and we'll help, or hey, if anyone needs anything
in Bradenton, we'll make it down there and whatever we
can do. And now they need help. People were not
expecting it to.
Speaker 3 (02:32:37):
The storm moved by the way. Yeah, I saw this
on the news this morning in Lakeland, Florida where the
Tiger Spring Train. That's where the airplanes are that fly
into the center of the hurricane to tell you if
it's a Cat five or Cat four. And they had
to move their planes because they did not realize that
Lakeland was going to get hit like it got hit.
(02:32:58):
So they had to get those planes that they need
to make sure that they have because that's how you
get the fore warning. They had to move those those
planes out.
Speaker 2 (02:33:05):
Of there and moving resources. And I'm sure you guys
talked about this, but you know with Trappic Cana Field,
which is where the Rais play, it's an it's an
indoor stadium, there's a dome as I'm choking right now,
but that's that's where first responders were staying. So that's
where they had all of the first responders that were
(02:33:26):
going to go out immediately and be surveying and helping
and assisting those that needed to help. And you know,
while the storm was going on, that's that's the roof
that got rich soft. So then they had to figure
out all of that as well.
Speaker 3 (02:33:41):
So well, yeah, you you continue to stay safe. And
I know that you got some fundraising stuff that's going
to be coming up, and I know all of our
show and all of our stations are going to be
helping out with with that fundraising efforts. I saw this
morning that a group of detroiters came to get there
to find they just wanted hygienic supplies. That was their
(02:34:03):
goal was toothbrushes, toothpaste, you know, mouthwash, things like that.
And yeah, they got three truckloads of it heading down
to Florida right now. So and they're gonna stop off
in North Carolina to drop some off to them too,
So be safe, buddy. I love you, and uh, we
want to make sure that nothing happens to any individuals.
(02:34:24):
We can replace stuff, but we can't replace you.
Speaker 2 (02:34:27):
Yeah, thank you for letting me come on. And I
know Jed was on and thank you guys. And you know,
as soon as we can figure out, you know, what
are things that we can do to help I uh,
you know, I'm gonna thank you in advance because I'm
coming on the show and I'm gonna be spreading the
word and if people are kind of wondering right now,
like what can I do immediately? Just be very very
(02:34:49):
very aware of the the places you are donating to.
A lot of people are scamming and.
Speaker 15 (02:34:55):
Stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (02:34:56):
There are like very good resources, like there's one called
feeding Tampa Bay, which is done locally and it stays locally.
Just you know, be very very careful and as far
as resources go, money is the most important thing that
you can get, but you just got to make sure
you're giving it to a recuable source.
Speaker 3 (02:35:13):
All right, Love you body, Joe from The Joe Show,
Talk to you soon.
Speaker 2 (02:35:16):
All right, love you guys.
Speaker 3 (02:35:17):
All right, Channon, what else is going on?
Speaker 13 (02:35:19):
Well, Jennifer Lopez is breaking her silence about her divorce
to Ben Affleck. She sat down with Nicki Glacier for
an interview for Interview magazine. She looks stunning on the cover.
Speaker 3 (02:35:29):
Always I want to hear because I love Nikki. I
want to hear what Nikki has to say about.
Speaker 13 (02:35:34):
Well, it's not an audio interview, you know, it's a
magazine interview. So they talk about all sorts of stuff,
her new movie, her quest to prove her quote unquote enoughness,
and being good, being all by herself, and she said
she had thought that she had learned the lesson over
the years about what it took to complete her, to
complete Jennifer. But over the summer she realized she needed
(02:35:57):
to go off and be on her own. She needed
to prove to herself that she could do it and
she would be okay. And she said in the interview,
being alone feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary, sad, desperate. But when
you really sit in those feelings and go these things
are not going to kill me. She says. It's like, actually,
(02:36:17):
I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself.
And she said being in a relationship does not define me.
Speaker 3 (02:36:24):
That's right.
Speaker 13 (02:36:25):
It's something she needed to learn, that right, That's right.
Speaker 3 (02:36:29):
She wants to try it again. She sounded like ll
cool J and the song that he does with her.
By the way, I think she's the problem. I think
that Ben poor guy got.
Speaker 4 (02:36:42):
They're both the problem.
Speaker 3 (02:36:43):
She just needs to find the wrong one. That's it,
all right.
Speaker 13 (02:36:46):
Justin Bieber is supposedly really struggling with his mental health
as his once close friend Diddy faces all of these
criminal allegations of assault and abuse and sex trafficking and
h A source telling me that he is just in
a hard place mentally, right now. He's got a history
with Ditty, which we've been talking about, and the allegations
against him have just been really hard for Justin to process.
(02:37:09):
The media is reporting everywhere that Justin is just disgusted
by the scandal. He's been adviiased to stay as far
away from it as possible, to not comment on it,
not comment on anything related to it. A third source
telling me, right now, he's just trying to focus on
the positive aspects of his life, his marriage and his
newborn baby boy Jack So and Leslie with Halloween not
(02:37:30):
that far away. Variety has posted a list of the
top one hundred horror films of all time, all movies
I will never ever see. The list spans many decades,
mixing in classics from like the nineteen twenties through some
present day favorites. Coming in at number one is the
original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which beat out The Exorcist in second,
(02:37:54):
Psycho and third, Jaws and fourth, and Rosemary's Baby in fifth.
Also making the top ten the Night of the Living
Dead Carrie get Out, which I tried to watch and
I I didn't know it was a scary movie. He
told me to watch it, and I started watching it
and I was terrified, so I stopped. The Shining is
on here, Silence of the Lambs. I have seen that
(02:38:15):
one Halloween. The Mummy and the Descent also making the list.
Speaker 4 (02:38:20):
That's scary. I don't know that.
Speaker 13 (02:38:27):
The list is top one.
Speaker 3 (02:38:29):
The friendly guys.
Speaker 13 (02:38:31):
You Devin saw what at the end of that movie.
I still think about him?
Speaker 4 (02:38:34):
Sorry, oh god, you did that ugly chuckle.
Speaker 13 (02:38:39):

(02:39:28):
a little bit of a drive to Elouise Asylum, But
that's okay. Are you ready to have fun in party
with Mojo in the Morning Show?
Speaker 20 (02:39:37):
Yes?
Speaker 43 (02:39:38):
Can I bring my husband with me?
Speaker 3 (02:39:39):
No, he's not alone.
Speaker 4 (02:39:41):
We don't like husbands unless you leave them behind.
Speaker 3 (02:39:44):
Yes, and in Elouise Asylum. Oh, you guys gonna do
a couple's costume.
Speaker 43 (02:39:50):
He well, I'm touched up and he's Mustard.
Speaker 3 (02:39:54):
Okay, we're thinking it's going to be something either sexy
or scary.
Speaker 20 (02:39:59):
It's just ketchup in Mustard wanted to be a hot dog,
so we were.
Speaker 4 (02:40:03):
Kind of for Oh, that's so cute, that's real cute.
Speaker 3 (02:40:06):
You know what you guys are coming both you guys
are going to be there hang out on a second.
Speaker 15 (02:40:09):
Okay, Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:40:12):
The Mojo's Booze and Batties Halloween Party costume contest one
thousand dollars could be yours Eloise Asylum on October the
twenty fifth. Emilee from Royal Oak is also going to
be there too. Hi Emily, Hi, how are you guys?
We're fantastic, Emily. Would you be the hot dog to
Rachel and her husband's hot ketchup and Mustard?
Speaker 38 (02:40:34):
Oh no, Actually, if I get to bring it from
we're gonna dress up in some sexting us there.
Speaker 3 (02:40:39):
You know, we like that much better. That's much better
I like it. So congratulations. See we're gonna set you
up with this. Are you in the Haunted Houses? You
are like scary places. This is not really a haunted house.
This is literally we.
Speaker 38 (02:40:52):
Went to Aloise before it was made into a haunted house,
and it was just like an abandoned building, so it'd
be cool to see it refurbished.
Speaker 3 (02:40:59):
Wait, what brought you there?
Speaker 1 (02:41:01):
Were you?
Speaker 3 (02:41:01):
Are you one of those people that likes to go
and take pictures and things.
Speaker 34 (02:41:05):
I don't know.
Speaker 16 (02:41:05):
I think my friends just wanted to go, and Halloween
is like my favorite.
Speaker 3 (02:41:08):
Holiday, and we love doing all the fooky stuff.
Speaker 34 (02:41:10):
And we were in the area and we were like, oh, well,
this is right here.
Speaker 16 (02:41:13):
So then we just pulled in.
Speaker 3 (02:41:15):
That's cool. It's pretty wild. I'm not gonna lie to you.
I'm not into the whole idea of getting scared and
going through these things, Like I really don't. I do
it for the love of my kids, Like Jacob loves
it so much, and we've done it. I've gone to
Halloween Horror Nights, which is down in Universal Studios. This
place is better than any of the Halloween Horror nights
(02:41:36):
that I've ever been to. Their special effects are ridiculous,
and I think that if you're somebody that really likes
to get haunted, this is the place to go to. Honestly,
that night is going to be about partying too, because
we've got a big old party tent that set up
outside DJ great drink specials. It's gonna be fun. Anthony,
you're coming to Anthony, Anthony, Yes you are. What's up, buddy?
Speaker 25 (02:42:02):
What's up?
Speaker 34 (02:42:03):
Mojo?
Speaker 26 (02:42:04):
You know what?
Speaker 3 (02:42:04):
Nothing much?
Speaker 31 (02:42:05):
Man?
Speaker 3 (02:42:05):
Are you excited about Halloween coming just around the corner?
Speaker 44 (02:42:09):
Actually I am.
Speaker 15 (02:42:10):
I'm at work right now on the phone trying to
get these tickets.
Speaker 25 (02:42:14):
Well, I'm kind of happy right now.
Speaker 3 (02:42:16):
What do you do for a living that requires you
to actually pay attention and you're not paying attention now?
Speaker 25 (02:42:22):
Well, I'm paying attention, but I'm supposed to be hands free.
Speaker 20 (02:42:25):
Let's just say that.
Speaker 3 (02:42:26):
Okay, that's all right, as long as you're on bluetoo.
That sounds to me like you are. You got right
now a pair of tickets. If you want more, tell
Lydia and I'm sure she'll get it before you. If
you got like an odd number of friends, okay.
Speaker 26 (02:42:38):
I do.
Speaker 25 (02:42:38):
I gotta live on about three friends.
Speaker 15 (02:42:39):
I'm gonna take away with me for the first time
going out with you guys.
Speaker 3 (02:42:42):
All right, let her know, let her know and she'll
set you up. We will see you on October the
twenty fifth Elouise Asylum. All right, see there, Thanks Buddy Mojo.
In the Morning Show, Shannon's husband had something happened to
him yesterday that like, it's one of those ones that
it can only happen to Wes.
Speaker 13 (02:43:00):
And I'm partly to blame for this too, so i
can't leave myself out of it. But I'm a huge idiot.
So my mom moved recently from Grosse Eel, which is
in the Downriver area for our Detroit listeners, and moved
up to Royal Oak. Big move saves us about an
hour when it comes to visiting her, So we're all
really excited about it, we being my sisters and my kids,
(02:43:25):
and so we're helping her with some of the things
that she needed for this new house. Some of the
furniture from her old house didn't fit, you know, because
she was downsizing. So I had ordered her a dining
room table and some like four of those like cozy
upholstered chairs to put around this dining room table. I'm stupid,
and I accidentally I hit purchase so quickly. You know
(02:43:46):
how it auto fills everything for you. Now, well, it
sent everything to my house. So I get home yesterday
and there are eight, nine, ten, I don't even know
how many humongous boxes on driveway because everything had gotten
delivered to my house, even though it would have made
a whole lot more sense to have it just delivered
(02:44:07):
to her house. So I said to Wes, he has
a ram, and I said, can you please load all
of this stuff up. It might take us a couple
of trips, but load it up and then drop it off,
like we'll take it to my mom's house and help
her put it together or whatever. So last night he
started doing that. So he loads up the bed of
his truck and I was picking up a carry out
(02:44:27):
on my way. Obviously I couldn't go in his truck
because it was filled with all of these boxes. So
he got there first and I get a phone call
from him and he was like, okay, so you gave
me the address. Now, mind you, he had never been before,
so he didn't know which house was hers. He's like,
you gave me the address. I roll up in the driveway.
(02:44:48):
I back in my truck. She left the garage open
for me, so I unloaded everything. He's like it took
me a second.
Speaker 3 (02:44:55):
It was so heavy.
Speaker 13 (02:44:56):
I probably could have used some help. I'm like sorry,
and he's like and then a very nice, older blonde
woman walks out and said, thank you so much for
all of this, but I didn't order any of it.
I'm Sandy, who are you?
Speaker 4 (02:45:11):
No wronghouse?
Speaker 13 (02:45:12):
So he had loaded all again furniture. He accidentally got
the driveways mixed up, so he met my mom's new neighbor, Sandy.
Speaker 3 (02:45:21):
Who watched him this whole time, but going down.
Speaker 13 (02:45:25):
I don't know how soon she saw it going down,
but so then he had to load it all back up,
go into the driveway next to Sandy's where my mom
actually lived, and then unload it all once again. I
would have lost it for really. Yeah, he wasn't exactly
the happiest camper when I got that with dinner last night,
But what.
Speaker 3 (02:45:43):
Would have happened if he walked into the house.
Speaker 24 (02:45:46):
With the.
Speaker 6 (02:45:48):
Well.
Speaker 13 (02:45:49):
The funny thing is my mom had left her gridge
store open for him, so it was just easy for
him to load everything and until we were ready to
put it together, And Sandy just happened to have her
grudge door open as well, so it made total sense.
To Wes, right garage door is open.
Speaker 11 (02:46:05):
Yes, And to be quite friend, I think we can
place the entire blame on Sandy because if she would
have just had her garage c.
Speaker 13 (02:46:12):
Yet there never would have been if she would have
been Outside's a bit.
Speaker 3 (02:46:17):
I have to tell you, I have heard so many
stories when we've done the walked into the wrong house
stories from our listeners that now if I go to
somebody's house, I legit will not walk up to their
door or do anything until I know for a fact
that that's their house. Like how Wes just used the
(02:46:37):
address and it ended up being the wrong address.
Speaker 13 (02:46:40):
No, it was the right address, It was just picked
the wrong driveway to match the house. Oh okay what
I mean?
Speaker 3 (02:46:45):
But still like I like, I will not like you
ever we have had we've done the topic before of
you know, walked into the wrong apartment, and I've done that.
I've walked into the wrong apartment. I literally have gone
into the wrong place. I now when I do it
in my GPS, I look to see if the dot
is over the house, like you know what I mean,
like it and then it does. Do you guys use
(02:47:07):
the GPS where you don't know what side of the
street it's on. I still haven't figured out that the
arrow is pointed to one of the sides, like when
you know what side that is coming up on, like
when you're trying to go to business. I always screw
that up.
Speaker 13 (02:47:19):
But this reminds me of the stories you hear of
like something being done at the wrong house, right, Like
you've heard the story of they re roofed an entire
house and it was the wrong house, or they chopped
down a tree in the front yard.
Speaker 3 (02:47:34):
These what do you do if you chop down the
wrong or the wrong house's tree, Like you can't just
rebuild a tree?
Speaker 13 (02:47:41):
Yeah, you know, and that and that stuff happens, like
in this case, obviously, thank god it was just he unloaded.
Speaker 3 (02:47:47):
Wasn't there a local story not that long ago recently
of of somebody.
Speaker 1 (02:47:53):
That what was it?
Speaker 3 (02:47:55):
It was it a Was it a roof?
Speaker 13 (02:47:57):
It was aof That's where I got that. Yeah, they
accidentally took off and re roofed the house next door
I think it was or across the street or something.
Speaker 3 (02:48:05):
Did they get to keep the new roof? I know
it was, well it was, but they had to do
they had to fix that other person's roof. But I mean, like,
if my roof is the one that you made the
mistake on, you keep it. Gave me the new roof,
I get to keep it right for free, like right, yes, yeah,
like like honestly, it's not even so much a matter
of of the wrong building your online But hold on,
(02:48:28):
San Juan, this is I think this was an inside edition.
It's not even so much the getting a new roof.
I didn't want a new roof. I had a.
Speaker 4 (02:48:36):
Remember a beautiful The only problem it's by accident.
Speaker 47 (02:48:43):
He was on a business trip and I decided to
randomly go with him, so we were about five hours away. Meanwhile,
here in a city, we had an entire roofing crew
show up at our house. Trucks in the driveway, front
drive way, back drive way, dipsy dumpster and they.
Speaker 13 (02:49:00):
Start going to work, completely tearing.
Speaker 1 (02:49:03):
Off our roof.
Speaker 9 (02:49:05):
The only problem was we didn't order a roof.
Speaker 5 (02:49:09):
It took a few hours for employees to notice the mistake.
Speaker 47 (02:49:12):
Somebody had texted numbers and had inverted two numbers and
sent the crew to our location, to our house, and
I think the project manager showed up at the right
house and said, where are you, guys, where's the crew?
And they're like, we're at the house tearing off the roof.
And that's when we got a pretty frantic phone call.
Speaker 20 (02:49:36):
Never are sitting next to each other calling what what's
going on?
Speaker 16 (02:49:38):
Our house on fire?
Speaker 9 (02:49:39):
Fire, you know, and he's like, well, I don't really
know how to.
Speaker 27 (02:49:43):
Tell you this, but we're about seventy five eighty percent
of the way through taking off the roof and realized
that we shouldn't have been.
Speaker 3 (02:49:52):
Wow.
Speaker 11 (02:49:53):
Iout about this was that company did a whole social
media campaign and like marketed that they gave it to
him for free, so they got a out of business
out of it.
Speaker 3 (02:50:01):
When everybody, I want to hear you the craziest part
it was Sandy's whose house they should have taken the room.
What a bitch? She is, very missfit, misfit Victor. Hello,
say good morning, guys, morning, what's going on?
Speaker 37 (02:50:17):
You know what's funny is I'm on our subdivision Facebook
group page and we always have people on there that
will like post a picture of a package and I'll say,
got just delivered to me by mistake? Does they may
know whose it is and it has the person's name
an address on them which is literally two doors down.
Speaker 13 (02:50:35):
It's just lazy.
Speaker 37 (02:50:36):
You're taking twenty seconds to post a picture and it'll
say something like, let's say, for instance, they'll say like
Shannon Murphy one two three four M Street and I'll
comment on there, I think that belongs to Shannon Mury.
It's like, shake up the Amazon package to walk it
down for you, lazy bastard.
Speaker 3 (02:50:55):
Victory Chelsea and I door dashed Jay Alexander's the other night,
and our Jay Alexander's door dash shows that it was
delivered to our house shows a picture of it delivered,
but it's not on our front doorstep. Well, I looked
at the picture and realized they went to a neighbor,
so I had to like match the neighbor's front door
with the with it go to their house. They're eating
(02:51:18):
our Jay Alexander's. They dropped it off in the wrong house,
but the people that got it just started eating a thing.
Speaker 37 (02:51:25):
Well, you know what's funny is I've gotten that where
Taco bell is delivered to my house at like eleven
thirty the night and Pina comes in the room and
she's like, did you order Taco bell?
Speaker 1 (02:51:35):
I go.
Speaker 37 (02:51:35):
First of all, it's a mile away from our house.
I would go get it and it's just sitting there
and I'll wait a few minutes. She's like, you're gonna
eat it. I'm like, hell no, I don't know who
this is. I don't know if it's set up, if
this been poisoned.
Speaker 15 (02:51:45):
Or what else.
Speaker 3 (02:51:47):
Oh really, you wouldn't eat the wrong delivery that was
sent to your house if it was Taco bell it.
Speaker 37 (02:51:54):
I don't know if it's wrong delivery, like if the
Amazon package and it's like chips or something like that. Yeah,
I'm even if it's my neighbors on me, who cares?
I'll just say Amazon a real burse, who cares about that?
But I just don't trust eating.
Speaker 3 (02:52:07):
You don't trust it. It's a legit door dash order. Yeah, Brian,
what's up? How you doing?
Speaker 31 (02:52:11):
Hey?
Speaker 27 (02:52:11):
Pretty good?
Speaker 3 (02:52:12):
Are you good? What did you do?
Speaker 28 (02:52:14):
All?
Speaker 9 (02:52:14):
Right?
Speaker 20 (02:52:14):
So I do carpet cleaning and I had a customer
and she was just like, hey, would you be okay
not being not being home and you just let yourself
into the back door. It's online. I'm like, yeah, that's
no problems. She was just like, yeah, I'll stay tonight
over the phone. Okay, I get to the house, I
open the door, I go in there, massive house in Northville,
(02:52:35):
clean the whole house. And then when she calls me
later on in the day, she's like, Brian, the carpet
looks exactly the same. Do you even do anything. I'm like, yes,
it turned out great. Send me some pictures. She sent
me pictures. I'm like, that's not the house.
Speaker 10 (02:52:55):
Oh my.
Speaker 11 (02:52:56):
Can you imagine coming home your carpet has been clean
but nothing has been stolen.
Speaker 4 (02:53:02):
I would be so freaked out.
Speaker 13 (02:53:03):
A'm be so happy.
Speaker 11 (02:53:06):
I would be like, there's a guy waiting to murder
me on this clean apartment, and then he's going to
clean him again.
Speaker 6 (02:53:12):
What's you in the morning's top trending stories, all.
Speaker 3 (02:53:15):
Right, Top training stories of the day. Obviously, the biggest
story of the day is the hurricane that has swept
through Florida. It is now over the Pacific. It's actually
going to cause rain. It looks like, thank God, not
for us. I think it's going to be going off
the east coast causing some issues. But Hurricane Milton made
(02:53:36):
landfall yesterday as a Category three storm with maximum wins
at one hundred and twenty miles an hour. It came
ashore over Cesta Key, Florida, which is just outside of Sarasota, Florida.
I think more people know of Sarasota, Florida, and became
an issue for a lot of people down there. We've
(02:53:58):
talked about it this morning and talked about you know
what this hurricane, along with the Helene, has done, just
devastating our country and now there's a third hurricane that's coming.
Joe was on with us last hour talking about that,
Joe from The Joe Show. Just crazy hurricane season that
we've been having. Did you see and I'll talk about
(02:54:18):
a couple of the stories here that we didn't get
a chance to discuss recently. Did you see the story
about how people were told they had to evacuate It
was a mandatory evacuation, and there were still some that didn't,
but many did. And did you see the people that
would leave their pets behind, which is just to me
the most cruel thing ever. But the one that was
(02:54:39):
the most cruel was the person who left their dog
behind and they intentionally left him behind because they chained
the dog to a fence on the side of the road.
When a very smart Florida State Highway Patrol trooper was
driving by. I saw this thing on the side of
(02:55:02):
the road and then saved the dog, pulling the dog
in and making sure that the dog was okay. The
dog now has become so famous that people from all
over the world are wanting to adopt this dog. And
then others are saying, you know what, We're going to
donate to the Tampa Bay Area homeless or shelters the
(02:55:27):
dog shelters. The governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, says that
he promises to find this pet abuser and hold that
person accountable. Oh that's the wrong clip, Ah, son of
a gun. I sound like such a good news guy
when I do it, and then I go to the
wrong clip.
Speaker 6 (02:55:43):
Oh, here you go.
Speaker 32 (02:55:44):
I mean, first of all, what kind of an animal
would just leave a dog chained to a pole in
the middle of a hurricane. I mean, it's just unbelievable
that somebody would do that. And so I'm thankful for
the FHP folks out of Tampa for skewing the dog.
They did bring it to the vet. The dog has
a clean bill of health, and who knows, maybe we'll
(02:56:06):
do some adoption. Put the dog up for adoption and
we can have some people in Florida come and compete for.
Speaker 3 (02:56:12):
It and take it. They should give some accommodations to
that trooper that stopped and did that. I mean that
obviously was amazing that he was able to see it.
Thank god he was able to see it, just sitting
there on the side of the road.
Speaker 13 (02:56:25):
That's so sad to see.
Speaker 3 (02:56:27):
It's one of those stories, though, where a story like
that happens and goes viral. Yeah, and maybe some good
comes out of them.
Speaker 10 (02:56:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (02:56:34):
It just made me think of all of the other
pets and animals that don't Yeah, did you.
Speaker 3 (02:56:39):
Guys see this story. The other big story that's trending
is obviously the election. Still we're less than thirty days
away from the election of Vice President Harris and former
President Trump. The FBI has thwarted a Afghan man who
is playing on doing some election day terrorism. The FBI
(02:57:04):
arrested this guy who is inspired by the Islamic State.
I guess he was going to do this for Isis
and try to be a martyr on the day that
everybody was going to go vote. They said that he
was trying to buy guns illegally in order to do this,
and they believe that his terror cell, which was him
(02:57:25):
and I guess a kid that he was, you know,
using as help in this. But they believe that they
were able to stop him from doing it, and they
think that they possibly were able to stop other ISIS
guys from doing it. I've often wondered sometimes if if
that would be one of those things, like on a
day like that where everybody's talking about the election, you know,
(02:57:47):
you hear about terrorism on nine to eleven, and you
know on certain days it's you know, if everybody is
your guard down on certain days and our guards can
never be down, you know what I mean when it
comes to you know, terrorism them and what can happen?
Are you guys tired of all the commercials for.
Speaker 13 (02:58:05):
UH handling the election? I'm starting it's not and not
only the TV commercials, the commercials ahead of like YouTube things,
the yard signs.
Speaker 4 (02:58:15):
Like the text just if I get any weather, why but.
Speaker 13 (02:58:20):
I use a fake phone number for everything, so you
get nothing at all. I have not gotten get.
Speaker 3 (02:58:27):
I get so many of them. And by the way
you're talking about these commercials, we get blamed. We're running
a million and one commercials and then people automatically think
that when we're running commercials that they're you know, showing
we're showing our support towards a particular candidate.
Speaker 13 (02:58:41):
Off of it so funny to me that it was
a topic of conversation on one of the posts we
had yesterday about people are like if they obviously they're
all voting for Kamala because those are the only commercials
we have. Anybody can buy.
Speaker 4 (02:58:52):
Anybody can buy.
Speaker 13 (02:58:53):
Any advertising they want. That's just the campaign that's happened
to be. It's spending that money, I don't know.
Speaker 11 (02:58:58):
And we have to provide equal opportunity to any candidate,
so like it's it's legal because we're a federally.
Speaker 3 (02:59:07):
They buy them, we have to provide fair price, whatever
the heck it is to them. So that's kind of
how it works. And it just so happens to be
that the commercials that we're running that the Harris campaign
is choosing more so to advertise on us than Trump's
campaign is doing.
Speaker 4 (02:59:24):
Legally, we can't deny anybody, right, no, not at all.
Speaker 3 (02:59:28):
We can. We can let anybody run an ad. You know,
there's so many different places that you can run ads.
Did you see now that they're running ads before porn sites,
the porn sites and ready for this. Jessica Dupnak is
doing the story for this one.
Speaker 1 (02:59:44):
Here.
Speaker 3 (02:59:45):
This is awesome her.
Speaker 48 (02:59:46):
First election clarity. But another few weeks of those political
and now they're the four play to your favorite adult movies.
Speaker 34 (02:59:58):
I bet that guy attention.
Speaker 48 (03:00:00):
It's exactly why a new political campaign is inserting itself
in your porns.
Speaker 8 (03:00:06):
It was a little startling at first, but it also
actually made a lot of sense to me as a marketer.
Speaker 48 (03:00:11):
You know, you want to go where the eyeballs are,
and they're on porn sites. Porn hubbies the fourth most
visited site in the US. The topic makes up twelve
percent of the Internet, usually viewed by men young men,
and that's a demographic up for political grabs. So if
you're trying to get these young men's eyeballs on your message,
they're probably one of the best places to do it.
Speaker 10 (03:00:33):
Hi.
Speaker 3 (03:00:33):
I'm Holly Randall and I've been working in the adult
industry for over twenty five years.
Speaker 48 (03:00:37):
Seventeen adult film actors launched the campaign hands Off My Porn.
It goes after Project twenty twenty five, one group's conservative
blueprint for a Republican administration. It has not been endorsed
by former President Trump. On page five, it talks about
outlawing porn the CrOx of this liberal leaning campaign.
Speaker 47 (03:00:57):
This plan of Project twenty twenty five is an egregious
attack on your right to privacy.
Speaker 48 (03:01:04):
The political ads season has been a marathon and we're
all spent. But Lori Goldman with Femmes for dem says,
porn positions people to be more receptive.
Speaker 45 (03:01:15):
I think you're in a good mood and you're enjoying
something you participate in or have experience with, and I
think that's when you're most open to hearing a message.
Speaker 48 (03:01:25):
It is a risky marketing move as we near the
climax of this election, you definitely want to be careful
that your message isn't going to blow up in your face.
For lack of a better term, the Hands Off My
Porn campaign is targeting traffic in swing states, and of
course Michigan is one of those.
Speaker 3 (03:01:42):
Jessica Dup knack on the edge. Now there you go.
Speaker 9 (03:01:45):
I think it's a great idea because nine times out
of ten, the people who are watching porn are coming
to the polls to vote anything.
Speaker 3 (03:01:52):
Oh you're trying to be Jessica Dup knack. Aren't you wow?
Just making a point? Oh boy, keV, here we go again?
Speaker 1 (03:01:59):
All right?
Speaker 3 (03:02:01):
Do you guys want to know what the most stolen
vehicles are and who are the worst drivers in our state?
The most stolen vehicles According to the twenty twenty four
Michigan Driver Report by Lending Tree, Tesla's and Subaru drivers
are among the list of the worst drivers with the
(03:02:22):
worst traffic incidents. The cars that are most stolen are
ready for this Kias and Hyundais really and other brands
that tend to bring some bad driving, ram trucks, Shannon
your Man's, BMW's and infinities as far as violations are concerned.
(03:02:43):
Among the list of cities where the worst drivers are
the worst city of drivers Dearborn Heights, Michigan the worst
drivers around with nearly eleven incidents per one thousand drivers.
Who are the best drivers? Well, Sterling Heights, Michigan has
the best drivers with only four incidents per one thousand drivers.
Speaker 4 (03:03:05):
Wait, what was the difference to those?
Speaker 3 (03:03:06):
So it is eleven to four per one thousand drivers.
That's a drastic decrease. Other cities with bad drivers Waterford Township, Taylor,
Dearborn and Nova for the drivers are concerned. Good cities,
as far as good drivers are concerned, Rochester Hills, McCombe,
Pontiac In, Flint among some of the best drivers. Kind
(03:03:28):
of interesting. And we're ready for the Tigers? Are we
ready the Tigers? Did the Tigers win again? Does anybody
know what? The Tigers went again?
Speaker 8 (03:03:37):
Holden Deals had a swing and I miss. They strikeout
to end it with an exclamation point. The Tigers win
Game three?
Speaker 6 (03:03:50):
Won again.
Speaker 3 (03:03:52):
Tigers are playing tonight at six o'clock at America Fire,
and history is.
Speaker 5 (03:03:59):
On our side.
Speaker 3 (03:04:01):
It is eighteen sixty eight. The Tigers won the World
Series on this day. Wowitch, that would actually be amazing,
wouldn't it If the Tigers were able to wrap this
thing up tonight. They almost have to wrap it up tonight.
I'm gonna tell you this. They can't go back to Cleveland.
Nobody wants to go back to Cleveland and have the
Cleveland Guardians have a chance to take over home field
(03:04:24):
advantage again. And our fans deserve to see it. It's
amazing our city. It was amazing. The crowd yesterday was
just going nuts. I ended up going out for dinner
afterwards and a bunch of Tigers fans walked in after
the game. I couldn't believe how much these guys smelled
like booze. That was crazy. I was hoping they took
an uber there, because I'm gonna tell you that these
guys were boozing it up at the game. Tonight. You
(03:04:48):
have something really cool happening. You got the Tigers taking
on the Guardians and what could be a series wrap
where they could be going to the American League Championship Series.
And then right afterwards, right after that game, at eight o'clock,
the Red Wings kick off their season against the lowly,
god awful we hate them so much Pittsburgh Penguins. You
(03:05:10):
know what Alex is going to score to day. Alex
to Brinkett was on with us this morning. Do you
guys ever think he'll join us again. I don't think so.
I think he's done.
Speaker 4 (03:05:18):
I think so.
Speaker 3 (03:05:18):
I think it's a one and done. I think we
kept him on so long that he was probably like,
get me off the goddamn phone. I don't want to
be honest anymore. He probably went right into the promotions
person overheat the Red Wings and said, you put me
out with Mojo in the morning instead of Stony and
Wojo or whatever. You know, it's like what I thought
you were saying. You know, he probably wanted to be
(03:05:39):
on ninety seven one the Ticket instead of us. But
you know what, we got a lot of people that
listen that are fans.
Speaker 6 (03:05:43):
Right, yeah, I'll put in a good word.
Speaker 3 (03:05:46):
Tell her him.
Speaker 1 (03:05:47):
Who is it?
Speaker 3 (03:05:48):
I don't even know what's their name. What's his name?
Let's shout him out, say hello to him. Brett, Brett, Brett.
We were just having fun. We rarely get good guests
on the show, and you gave us the best of
all your players other than Dylan. Right, you had Alex J.
Brinkin on. I mean to be able to have Alex J.
Brink It on our show was a huge deal for us.
(03:06:08):
So we were excited. All right, have a great day, guys.
We're back tomorrow for more Mojo in the Morning. We
will see that. By twenty plus years of idiocy and
still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan, it's Mojo
in the Morning.
