Speaker 1 (00:01):
Getting you ready for the game.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
This is the Kentucky Select Chevy Dealers chas our preview.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Now here's Matt Jones. Welcome everyone.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
It is the Kentucky Selects Chevy Dealers ks R. Paya
show what I am Matt Jones here alive at the
kas Bar and Grill where it is absolutely wild. The
biggest crowd that I have ever seen at this place,
maybe period, certainly for.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
A basketball game. Let me ask your question, are we
big Arkansas tonight? Unbelievable?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Seriously, not an inch of this place does not have
a human being standing in it. I maybe maybe the
Georgia game for football, the one year that if we
beat them we thought we could do something.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
I don't know, Drew, I'm not sure I've ever seen
as many.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
People in here, and they are wild.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Most of them know they're not getting a table for anything.
They just want to be in here to get ready
for the game.

Speaker 5 (01:02):
I've been here almost three hours and when I got
to the parking lot it was like the football game
day parking lots.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I'm like down there by the hospital. I come in here.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
I was supposed to get a table for someone. Sorry
about that. It's standing room only. But this is a
great atmosphere. And it's not just the amount of people.
Everyone in here is so exciting.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
That's exactly right.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
There is such energy downtown, people everywhere. I'm telling you,
if you're going to the game, you figure out where
you go park. Maybe just park here, although I don't
know if there's any spots here.

Speaker 6 (01:33):
Just walk.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
It's gonna be. It's going to be a wild night
in Lexington.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Ryan.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
You know, Kyle Man is here from The Ringer, and
he was asking me like, Okay, when has it been
like this for a Kentucky game? And I you know,
we've had really big games, but the fact that it's
at nine o'clock so you get all day to get.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Red, right.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I was trying to think Kentucky played Florida the year
after they won the title, when they brought Noah and
all those guys back.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah, we lost, but game day was here. I camped
out for twenty four hours on payment for that one.
There you go.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
I remember that when that game was at nine o'clock,
so you had all day, and I remember that being like, Wow,
this city is crazy. I don't know, man, I mean Patino,
that game was during the day. The Kentucky Carolina games
were during the day. I don't know for a nine o'clock.
I don't know that we've ever seen this before.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
It sets up almost perfect for a big blue nation. Man,
You've had all day long to get ready for this.
Downtown has been a zoo since this morning. People camping
out at Roperena. I mean not just our restaurant, all restaurants,
all hotels, everything is all blue right now.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
I mean, let's just do it like historically for a second.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
I mean, if you were to write the history of
Kentucky basketball, the three most important names would probably be
eight off up, Rick Patino and John Calipier.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
That's fair.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
And the idea that one of them is coming back
a year afterwards with a different team that's a conference
rival that he left here to go to it's almost
an unbelievable thing to happen. And then he would be replaced.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
By disciple of the second guy on the list.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Who would become beloved after the third had sort of
dropped off. It's Shakespearean in some ways, and here it
is playing out before our eyes. The only way it
could be better would be if they were actually good,
which they're not. But Nevertheless, it's just it's like drama
of the highest scale. And the fact that college game

(03:37):
Day is not here is insane because do Carolina play
twice every year? We may not get this again ever
in Rapperina in terms of this kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Are there more people here than game day at Kasmar?

Speaker 3 (03:51):
There may be that was said there are more cars
in that parking lot than where I know.

Speaker 5 (03:56):
That this whole situation, I was thinking about it today.
I don't know if it's outside of tournament runs, the
biggest day in Kentucky basketball history, but I mean, like,
you can't have this situation of a regular season. They
have a comparison. It's not final fours and titles, but
regular season.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
It's for I would say older fans would go the
first time Kentucky and Louisville play, right like that that
had never happened before, and then they play and and
sort of all that went into that.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
But this is just a wild scenario. This is like
Coach k going to Virginia or Bill self going to Iowa.
This we won't see this probably happen again. And have
we seen it before?

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I mean, Rick, but you're right, very very rare.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
The Rick Patino. His first game at Rupper End against
Tubby was incredible, but Louisville wasn't very good. To answer
your question, if Arkansas was really good, like if they
were eight and one or something, I think I might
be sweating bullets. I'd be scared to I'm the nervous
about this game anyway.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
But my nervousness is not rationality. I mean that's true.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
If this were LA, if this were Arkans, saw with
anybody besides John cal Perry is the coach, I wouldn't
even be nervous. And it's not even about his ability.
It's just about all that this is about. Yeah, you
know what I mean, it's not really about the game itself.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
That's kind of a point.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
The Rick thing was one thing, but it's a different era.
It's not just cal He took players, he took coaches,
he took managers.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
That's why this is a situation our student.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
I know, I have not seen this in college basketball,
and we're a couple hours from it down the street.
I mean, he took the whole operation. He even talked
about it.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
If you think about I mean, the the inconference part
of it is also rare. The only time I can
remember in recent years this happening on a much smaller scale.
Ed Cooley left Providence for Georgetown. He was very beloved.
They just destroyed him when he came back.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
I mean, we a lot of talk this week about
what's gonna happen. I'll we'll, we'll get to that a
little bit later, but it is, there is a game
that's gonna be played. And I was thinking driving here
because I had to sit in traffic about the like
everybody else in the matchups. Okay, so on one level,
our strength is their weakness.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
We got we shoot the three well, they don't guard
it well.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
We also let people shoot the three and they don't
make them. But they are good at driving to the basket,
which is the thing we defend the worst. So it's
it's it's weird. You know, they have big Z who's
kind of a weak big man. I think Omar's a
pretty good defender for him. I worry about the ADU matchup.

(06:36):
I don't think Annsley albre and Kobe Brea or Andrew
or a hobbled Andrew Carr gonna be great defenders. But
I also don't know who they have that's gonna guard
Robinson in o way, so it'll be interesting.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Yeah, and without Lamont Butler, you know he's not going
so Kentucky. Obviously, he'll go with that lineup of Brea
Otaga and Robinson on the perimeter. Like we said yesterday,
you can make an argument that they're a better offensive
team with those guys. So if Akatok gives them all
those threes, those are the three guys he probably won
on the floor.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
How many points do we have to score to where
if I told you we score this amount.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
You would go, I feel very coffid we win forty nine.
I'm serious, I'm not I worry about I worry about
the pregame show jinx. I'm not gonna get too cocky.
But Mark Pope is about to put that coaching staff's
brain in a pretzel. Do you think Chim Coleman knows
about Mario Wims bringing the BAF court? Do you think
he has anything for that. They're gonna look at each
other and go, what in the hell are they running?

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (07:32):
Yeah, and then also we're just gonna run the recipe
with Tennessee. They're gonna sag off and dare them to
shoot the last couple of minutes of Tennessee was hilarious,
and I think that's what we're gonna see today.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
These were the teams that gave Cal the hardest time
at Kentucky, teams that played like Pope Cal just I
mean Oakland played like this, right, like they he just
couldn't guard teams like this. Yeah, so it's hard to
see that that's gotten better. You know, my only worry
is you get a dude to score twenty and then
John l Day this decides to beat the player he

(08:02):
hasn't been all year and goes back to his Florida
Atlantic days.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
When he took him to the final four.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
To me, that's the only scenario where I see us
not winning. I think the crowd, I mean that's a
whole like, what is the crowd going to be? Like,
it's going to be It's going to be wild, isn't.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
The crowds already this year, even for like Brown and
Kogate have been awesome, loud into the game, state of
the end of the games. It will be triple that today.
But you know, Arkansas only had two offensive threats most
to see him Boogie Flan and a dude. Well Boogie
flans out. So now they've really just got that just
one offensive threat a dude, and it's like you said,
he gets most of his action drive into the battles.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I know David should be a threat. He hasn't been,
but he should be.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
I don't know, man, it's it's it's so weird, and
you know, then you have everything that goes into I mean,
after saying the UK Arkansas game didn't matter, Seth Greenberg,
they spent two thirds of the show today talking about
that game. They're talking about it like that shout out
on Andrea Carter for being the only one there with

(09:07):
a personality like she had the greatest line during the
show about going into the club with the downgrade, and
those old men just looked at her like, who are you.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
That's the first time I watched The Game Day in
a long time. That'll be the last time that that
show is made for people that still twist their VCR
into their box TV like that is not a young production.
That line was great and they didn't even smile. They
stared at her like they didn't even know what she
was talking about. It was unbelievable. And you said this
on Twitter. The football Game Day would have eaten that up.
They would have fallen out of a chair. Yes, the

(09:36):
Greenberg just staring it looked like he was a mannequin
up there.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Jason, Jay, Will and Reese were the only ones that
even acted like they knew what she had said. Honestly,
if I Randy ESPN's probably a difficult thing for me
to say since I am an employee. If I Ranyespn,
I would use that clip to say, I gotta change
this show. Yeah, right, like I got that should have
been like a viral moment of the day with three.

(10:02):
Imagine if she says that with Kenny, Charles and Shack
right like that's and they would have a graphic of
cow walking into the club with a hog or something.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Right said, they all started talking about their wives.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Yeah, I mean, like so anyway, I I but regardless
of all that, it's it's going to be wild the
ticket prices, you know. I mean, I got people I
know people going this game who haven't been to a
game in ten years. I mean literally like that that.
They were like, I'm going to that one.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
I talked to a lot of people here before our show.
They're from everywhere, Atlanta, Pennsylvania, Michigan. You know they're because
they want to come and be a part of this game.
If if there's one game you're gonna spend the money on,
you want, you want to be in there tonight going.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
I've only been in I've gone to every SEC game,
SEC tournament game, every NCAA tournament game. We've gone to
some road games. I have only been to one home
game since COVID. Really variety of reasons for that. Well,
I've been to games, but in the crowd. I haven't

(11:07):
gone as a media member. I've been to one game
since COVID, and I was and part of that was
the cow thing, and part of it was you know,
our seats are now up and then you can't see.
So I went, but I was like, I gotta be
there tonight. So like when this leaves, I'm gonna go.
I'm gonna part my car. I want to be in
there for that moment. I probably then watch the game
at home, but because I can't, I'm.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Too nervous to day. But Drew like.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
There is a sense of this, well, this will be
one of those iconic moments in the few minutes leading
up the game, and I hate for a lot of
people listening on the radio. You might not even get
to see it on TV because they might be showing
the Duke Carolina again.

Speaker 5 (11:43):
Yeah, I haven't missed many home games in fifteen years.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
I go to all of them.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
I even get a little immune to it. But last
night I'm trying to go to bed. I look over
and it's four AM, and I'm like, you have to
go to sleep. I wake up at seven and I
just start walking around my house with headphones on because
of the excitement I have for this game. And you know,
I like to think I'm pretty good at Lexington. I
get about town a little bit. I don't know that
I've seen this city like that. There were people here
on Thursday going crazy.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
In the bars. Last night was wild.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
I really think we're gonna see a reparina like we've
never seen it before.

Speaker 7 (12:13):
You know.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
We just to give you an example on something I know,
which is the finances of this place.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
We have an.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Amount that we think we will do for home Saturday
basketball games.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
We did it by five o'clock this.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Nice, before the pregame show even started, because people were
here when we opened the door.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
At eleven am.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
I was here at one thirty and there are some
faces I'm seeing that we're here at one thirty. So
you know, now, for those of you listening at home
who want to watch the game here, this place is
insane right now. But all these people are gonna leak up.
All these people are gonna leave and go to the game.
So if you were to come here at like seven fifteen,

(13:00):
seven thirty, you can get here to watch the game
all these people.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
It's if you walk the beer right now, you'll be like,
this ain't happening.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
But all these people will leave and then there will
be a game crowd here afterwards, and I think this
will be an amazing place to watch again.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
It will be an amazing place. If there's any advice
we can give you, go early if you're whatever time
you're thinking about going down to ruptreing it for the game.
If you're going, go earlier than that because you want
to be inside in your seat when the players are introduced.
Cal walks out when Col's introduced, and I heard a little,
a little, a little scuttle butt.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Okay, wait a minute, I'm gonna wonder if it's the
same scuttle butt I have. Okay, so I have some
scuttle butt. Let's see if your scuttle butt is the same,
because I think if we have two scuttle butts, two
cheeks will make a scoop.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
Well, mine's about the introduction.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
There you go, two scuttle cheeks.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Here's about the introduction.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Mine's not.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
Like they've got it playing like whenever they announced John Caliperry.
They're going straight to the video. So I think that
noise of the video will drown out a lot of
the booing or the blood.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
No, I actually think that, I actually think that will
make people boo loud.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Huh. I think they're gonna want to be heard.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
Yeah, well, I mean I understand why they're doing it now.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
There.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Tubby was at the airport this morning. Yeah, one of
the chances Tubby's the why if he's.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Truly election in it at the game, it's that there's
no other option.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
It's Tubby. He's never been the why he got his
high point? Has he never been the why he was
coaching that game. They did the pregame jersey retirement. But
you know he's in a time out even though we're
down by fifty. He didn't get to be the y. Yeah,
he hasn't been back since that was his first time back,
So Tubby has gotta be got to be awesome, would
be awesome.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
There's no way Rick Patino gets on a plane and
comest expecting you. I don't know anything. I mean, their
game finished. He could have gotten here and they won.
They won. They've done it too, there's no I mean that.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
The thing about Tubby is you can bring him in
it like Cal loves Tubby, Pope loves Tubby.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
It's fine you bring Rick. That's a whole another thing.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
I want the why to be Tubby and Rick. Like
Tubby left arm, Rick right arm. They're standing together. Yeah,
make a double a double coach. Yeah, bring Billy back.
He's up driving around New table right now. Anyway, did
you bring Billy back?

Speaker 4 (15:07):
What's your percentage chance Rick Betino shows up?

Speaker 6 (15:09):
Hello?

Speaker 3 (15:10):
But I wouldn't say it's crazy like he made the
video so Saint John's fan's head would explode if he
shows up.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
How about Richard tweet today that was funny, That was
really good.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Believe if I'm nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven,

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Quarter back in his exucky slag Chevy Dealers KSR pregame
show Duke, North Carolina is already eighteen to six, so
maybe they should come here, although I hope that's our
score too. To be honest with you, this guy right
here was just saying to me. He said, if you
had told me when John Caliperry came here that we'd
get fourteen years of him, and we would during that time.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Do we get fourteen or fifty fifteen years of him?

Speaker 3 (19:40):
We'd have ten really good years, five slip, one national title,
four final fours.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Do you take it? And the answer is probably yes, Drew.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
But remember what I always say on the show, the
two days that matter the most in your working life
are your first in your last.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
And he couldn't have had a better first day, and in.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
A lot of ways the last was about as bad
as you could have too, which is why I think
you get the mixed emotions that you see throughout Big
Blue Notes.

Speaker 5 (20:08):
He was way too hot too early, if you flip it,
and he was a gradual climb from the Billy Gillespie
era and we see slow progress and it ends with
those first years. I mean, it's a perfect run, but
he was too good in the beginning and the end
was too bad.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
To bring it back for another run.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Kind of be honest with you. Yes, I'm starting to
have those mixed emotions. I saw the Jimmy Diyke's interview
with coach Kal this afternoon, and it was pulling at
my heartstrings. Man, I'm guilty I did that.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
I've heard people say that, Why did that change your mind?
I mean, it's the same stuff he's always said to.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
This is just me.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
He came across very sincere, very emotional talk about how
much he loved this place. It was fifteen great years,
his family loves his place, all of these friends that
are here.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
But that's all true.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
I gotta admit.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
That's what Rick said when he was at Louisville, and
you didn't cheer him.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
I did not cheer Rick Patino. I don't remember Rick
ever said anything like that.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Called it camelot, even while he was at louis Yeah,
this I don't know.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Like I said, I'm just being honest. I got a
little bit of a mixed emotions.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
Okay, So with all that said, I guess it is
worth asking what happens when his name gets announced. Let's
leave aside the music thing, although I do think that's
important if that's what they're gonna do.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
What what what happens when they announce his name?

Speaker 5 (21:22):
Having been here a while, I took a lot of
the temperature of people here, and it is ninety nine
percent boo at least in here, and they can't wait
to get down there and do it.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
I mean they're bragging about how hard they're going to
boo in here, and I just there you go.

Speaker 5 (21:34):
I know, I just think the nine pm tip did
John CALIPERI think that's true.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
I think if it had been done, it had been different.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
I did hear a group of students say there was
somebody went and interviewed student Mario did. But it wasn't
on Mario's it was on somebody else. There was a
group of students and one of them said, I didn't
come here and stand in line at six in the
morning to cheer. And I thought to myself, you know,
that's probably true. I had a person that went and

(22:01):
uh and stood in line all day.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
They ain't going that early day, they did probably.

Speaker 5 (22:06):
Go to cheap ethery minute or not. In Cal's interview,
he said the point I've been making, He said, you
all have to remember, I'm coming here to ruin your day. Yeah,
like I love Kentucky, I have fund memories, but I'm
not here for that.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
I'm here to beat you. So he actually expected.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
The booing right now.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
I want you to hear that booing. And this guy
didn't even coach here.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
So I'm like, you know, welcome John, what's up? John?
What a welcome I got here? See? I was gonna
say everyone was so nice. You know, they've been nice
for three days.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
But when you get a nine o'clock start and people
have been drinking all day, this is gonna.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Be the reaction. It's been. I have been here since Thursday.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
This is John Nabors, He hosts the show in uh
In in Fayetteville.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
What how's it been for you?

Speaker 16 (22:48):
Well, honestly, like this has been an awesome experience. I
have loved my time in Lexington. It's my first time here,
first time a rapperina, and everyone's been really nice, really classy.
It's I was expecting a lot worse, I will admit,
but I think when you're one and six, it's a
lot easier to.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
What are you about this crowd? Like it's wild?

Speaker 16 (23:05):
You know, I've heard I actually read this in the
paper this morning that we read the pictures. Yeah, it's
apparently Kentucky loves their basketball, you know.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
And I just heard about this and I was like.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Oh man, look at this, prest you read the paper.

Speaker 16 (23:17):
Yeah, yeah, well you know these days, you know who
to trust these days.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
So, I mean, when they talk a.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
Lot about what we pay, what do the Arkansas fans
think of this? Is this just like a party they're
not invited to and they're just kind of looking on amused.

Speaker 16 (23:34):
I would say it's more of a it's like, this
isn't about us. Yeah we know it's not about us. Yeah,
it's about col versus Kentucky. It is, and we've accepted
that role. And it's more of just say, Cal's gonna
be maybe wearing reds and I who knows if he does,
but it's just.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
About that's interesting questions any chance he does the Jacksone
roth question is he gonna wear red?

Speaker 4 (23:55):
He's got to, he can. He can't not wear red
coaching till to night at RUP. He's gotta wear red. Okay,
wait a minute, what's he wearing right there? They show
that's rare, that's bad lighting. That's maroon.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yeah, that's a Texas A and M color.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
I feel like the.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Average ticket price tonight is six hundred and thirty three dollars.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
That's probably I'm paying here.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
It's it's the highest men's college basketball ticket price in history.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
You don't have it, You don't have a ticket.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
No, I don't have a ticket yet. Well, good luck.

Speaker 16 (24:25):
Yeah, I've been monitoring it very heavily.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Yeah, cap monitoring. Well, I mean, listen, you can't put a.

Speaker 16 (24:33):
Price on a great college basketball game between two historic teams, right, well.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
One historic team and then there's another team's team that's there.
All right, So give me, uh, give me your best
case worst case scenario if you're if you're previewing Arkansas
for our fans, haven't watched it?

Speaker 1 (24:49):
What what? What? What's what happens today?

Speaker 16 (24:51):
Well, best case scenario is that col gets ejected because
he's so fired up, and then Kenny payin comes and
takes over the team a victory, just like he did
against Arkansas years ago, and then we don't get to
hear from Callum postgame press conference and said, Kenny Payne,
So if.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
He wins, he'll have like.

Speaker 16 (25:10):
Of his whole winding total at Louisville, So it would
be uh, it'll hat a lot, a lot to him.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
That's the best listen I've we've been. We've been happy
to have you here. It's been great.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Enjoy yourself tonight and good luck for the rest of
the season. And you know, once this one gets out
of the way, it won't be the same and the
rest of them. But uh, John, I hope you enjoyed it,
do you No? I hope you enjoyed the trip. I
don't trip. Okay, I don't hope you enjoyed tonight. I
hope you have a miserable two hours then afterwards. I
hope you have a good evening and the Kentucky fans

(25:39):
treat you will well. If the game goes my way,
I'll be back here and there will be anybody here
by the way. If we lose, we're closing the moment
the game is over. We've been open all day. We
are closing the moment the moment the game is over,
like we are shutting. I have a memo. If we lose,
close immediate immediately.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Haven't seen it, Chaos Bar, haven't seen it. Ks Bar,
haven't seen it.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
John, Thank you, appreciate you guys man. So back to
what it's back to what we were saying. You you
feel weird about it? I'm starting to, I phill Phil.

Speaker 4 (26:12):
I remember those good times we had with him, and
I see him and he looks so sad. I'd pull
on my heartstrings a little bit, like I'd admit it real.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
My takeaway from the interview is Jimmy Dike's outfit. I
missed the first four minutes because of his full zip
hoodie under a blazer.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
You know he's hip.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
He is hip, probably had no socks on.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
He's cool Dad, Cool Dad, don't you know? Cool dad? Hey?

Speaker 3 (26:35):
Five nine two eight, twenty two eighty seven. We will
take a break. We will get to your calls. We
are here as chaos, bargrill, Kats and hogs and return
to cal Perry's two hours away.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
This is the Kentucky Select Chevy Dealers ks OUR preview.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Now here's Matt Jones quarterback.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
It is the Kentucky Select Chevy Dealers KSR pregame show
eight point nine two A twenty two eighty seven.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
We are well the folks at ninety eight.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
One the ball.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
We are here at the KS bar grill and it
is an absolutely wild environment. Probably the most people I
can ever remember here, certainly for a pregame.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
Of basketball, maybe for anything.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
The only I was talking to the manager said, the
only time she thinks there were more people in here
was when we beat Houston in the sweet sixteen, our
first year we were open during that game. That was
in I think Kansas City, and that's the only time
she thinks we were there's been this many people.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
I mean, it's it's not super warm and Lexington and
our patio is completely packed. People standing everywhere. I think
they just want to soak up as much of this
excitement environment as they possibly can.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
This is why you're a Kentucky fan, or or nights
like tonight right like this is this is something we
do that almost nobody else does, and we should take
a moment to really enjoy it. Of course, we have
to win or the memory won't be quite as good. Well,
I was thinking that on my way here. Not to
get too emotional, but win.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Or lose, boo or cheer, whatever you think about the game,
this is why we have sports. This exciting right here,
I agree all day. I mean, I'm trying to focus
on stuff around the house. I can't even eat. My
brain is Kentucky arkisas Kentucky Arkisah, it's been like that
since seven am. You don't get many games like that.
You go entire years without having games like this that
just lives in your brain. You've been looking excited to
for so long, and that's why that's why we do it.

(31:43):
Hopefully it en iss gonna win, but so far this
has been fun up to this point.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Is this is exactly why you do it.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
This is this is what makes Kentucky basketball unique. This
is why such an honor for both of these guys
who have coached here is you get to have this moment.
And this is why this fan base uh is the best.
And this is also why you know, it was so
ridiculous for people to say, well, nobody cares about this

(32:10):
outside of Kentucky Arkansas.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
Who cares? We care about it more than anybody. And
that emotion.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
I don't care what happens when they announce his name,
that clip is gonna live forever, just like Let's coming
in live forever.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
Yeah. When they proposted Rick him coming and Ropery into
that first time, the Booze were super super out I
remember that moment, man. I mean, you sit there and
you just you can you can even feel it, you
can feel it on your skin. It's gonna be that way,
maybe even more so, I think tonight.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
Yeah, well, here we go eight five to nine, two eighth,
twenty two eighty seven.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Let's talk to a couple people. Who's up first? Christian? Christian?
Go ahead, Christian.

Speaker 22 (32:49):
Hey, guys, look, I know everybody wants the emotional heads,
but I'm I'm here to bring us down to reality.
In conference play, Arkansas has averaged ninety four sixty four
points a game against power competition. We've averaged ninety four
points a game at home. That's a thirty point difference

(33:09):
for them to make up. Here in this game, I
would say Arkansas probably has to score eighty to be there,
and they haven't scored more than seventy five in a
game in the SEC so far. So, like, I get
that Cal's back, there's like mojo with all of that,
but like when you really just break it down, that's
a huge huge margin for them to make up. I

(33:30):
think we kill them the nights.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
I think that's the That is a very cojent. I
appreciate the call. Analysis. Objectively, there's no reason to pick
Arkansas just objectively looking at the game.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
I mean, if I were to.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Make the best case for Arkansas, it would be okay, well,
they do penetrate, well, that's our weakness, but they don't score.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
We do.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
They defend decent but not great. We kind of score
well against anybody.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
If John Kelly Perry won the coach. I mean, there's
no sweating this game.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
Again, I'm trying to knock and don't want a j
zy thing on the pregame show, but just from a
basketball standpoint matchup standpoint, this is a nightmare for Arkansas.
They have like the SEC's tenth best defense. They're supposed
to be a good defense. They're at the bottom of
the SEC in defense. I just think, and not getting
into the coaching too much, but we know that staff
that cow has, and we know that staff that Pope has,

(34:22):
and who do you think was putting in the most
work and the creativity that they have. I think they're
gonna do some things that coach cow staff honestly doesn't
know what to do. They're gonna look and be like
I don't I've never seen that is that.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Things were weak at they're not a great offensive rebounding team.
That's something we've given up. They're not a very physical
defensive team. Usually Cow's teams are, but they're not really
so like the things we've shown vulnerabilities too, they're not
really they don't really have those things.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
Like you and I said the other day, we've probably
watched our Kentucky's the only team we've watched more than Arkansas.
I've watched a lot of Arkansas games. They're just not good,
and they struggle so much offensively. Like I said, when
it do is your main offensive thread in most games,
you gotta fel pretty good about yourself.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
If Z hits a three, does he get applause? Yes, yeah,
he's getting cheered.

Speaker 5 (35:10):
I think there's still a soft spot for Z and
maybe see you next year for Big Z from Big
Blue Nation? Does he maybe not applause like a cheer
that the.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Game is like comfy? I mean, if it's a two point.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
But like let's say we were up seventeen with four
minutes to go and he hit.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
A three, they're gonna show up cheering.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
He's still one of us. They stolen for a year.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
I guess the other thing is what if z hits
three or four.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Three different Now that's no one's cheering.

Speaker 5 (35:40):
That nobodys cheering that he's got to remember who got
him into school halfway through the semester, who brought him
over here, who put up a billboard?

Speaker 1 (35:47):
He knows where home.

Speaker 5 (35:48):
Is, He knows exactly who's got his back and who.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Doesn't this office, he would maybe next year. Who's up next? Andy? Andy?
Go ahead, Andy, and you hear me, yes.

Speaker 18 (36:01):
All right, Well, I just want to start out by
giving a rewind of the last four years. You know,
he comes out of the covid era with a nine
and sixteen record, does performance terribly in the in the
SEC tournament every time since he's been there. No we
SCC titles. We lose to Oakland, we lose to Saint Peter's.

(36:25):
We lose at home three times in a row in
rob Arena the first time in program history. Yeah, we
get all these guys like Shaden Sharp who aren't even playing.
They're just here to use the facilities and mooch off
of what Kentucky has to offer. And then you hear
these national media guys like Cheth Greenberg tune in and say, oh, well,

(36:47):
the fan base, the spoiled, they're entitled. They you know,
who else are they going to get? Well, you know,
Kentucky basketball, We're not a circus show. We're not defined
by John Caliperry. We're We've won with other people besides
him from from year to year. And you know, if
that's going to be the performance of the last four years,

(37:08):
I better hear all of reperenas standing up on their
feet booing him.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
All right, about to cut you off because I gotta go.
But I appreciate calling that was that's a good case for.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
The other side. Yes, it was.

Speaker 3 (37:21):
I think there's gonna so I I thought that the
cheering was gonna be louder.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
It's still I think we'll be there.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
But there the nine o'clock, as Drew said, Ryan, I
think it does he mends a little bit. I think
the nine o'clock gets different reactions.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
And it does just seem like the just based on
the crowd that's in here that's going to the game,
they are fired up already, like I said, before they
even go down there, they are chopping at the bit
to watch that man walk out and let them hear it,
let him hear it.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
I went, does he get it? Does he get the
boot when he walks out or when they call his name?

Speaker 1 (37:52):
All?

Speaker 5 (37:52):
It both when he talks to the ref when he
does that, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
When if he is yelling at the ref, that will
be well, we just can't lose. Someone just sent me
a video walking in. Yeah, it's just.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
In the back, I mean just coming into the building
and they just show I think they just showed that
on him.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
That's a Maroon coach. Let me ask you this another
talking point, like Kentucky's guys don't have really players don't
have a lot of an emotional attachment to this game,
unlike the Arkansas players.

Speaker 3 (38:23):
That's an interesting thing, Like it's only three people playing
in this game really have an attachment the way that
we do, and it's three guys for them.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
Is that good or bad? Like do you like that
they have that?

Speaker 3 (38:36):
I mean, if you're Jackson Robinson and all these guys,
like they're probably more excited for the Auburn game or
the Tennessee game, right like this is so it's interesting.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Jackson Robinson, well he's the one because.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
He played in Arkansas, so he actually does have that
attachment even though.

Speaker 5 (38:51):
With him it's a logo to him no one that
was there with his experience as a part of it.
So I mean, he'll fill it with the school, but
he's not looking over at faces. He recognizes it's a
completely different, uh look for.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
When he was there.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
But I think the team, and you know, I mentioned
this earlier the week. I don't know if Pope would say, hey, guys,
this one actually does mean more because you normally you
try not to do that. But I bet those players
already know that they need to play this one the
Pope now.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
So even though the pressure is not the same.

Speaker 5 (39:16):
That it do feels and DJ phiels and Big Z feels,
I bet the pressure they still feel a little bit
knowing we gotta get this one for Pops.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
It'll be interesting to see if those guys in Arkansas
feel the same way about Cal. I mean, Myyron Metcalf
said to me last week, You're gonna see how much
Arkansas's players like CAF.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
That video wasn't very inspiring, you know, Like, are.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Arkansas's players gonna cause they know how much this means
to him?

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Are they gonna go out there and try to give
that to it?

Speaker 4 (39:42):
That's a great conversation. Do you want to step up
for your coach. You're gonna give a little extra for
your coach. Do you want to do everything you can
so your coach can win this game? That means so
much to the coach.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
I mean, there's no one in the world this is okay,
So let me let me play good guy for just
one second. Oka because everybody's accuse me of like firing
on trying to encourage Booze.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
I'm not I would not Booth, but I.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Do think Gary Parrish had the best argument for not booth,
and I sent him a voice message and told him this.
He basically said this, and this is gonna be my
positive moment.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
Okay, in my house, cheer against him all night. For
everyone listening to this, this is a big deal.

Speaker 3 (40:25):
Does but we will all get up tomorrow and we
will move on with our lives. We play old Miss
Tuesday night. We're gonna be into it no matter what.
We will remember this moment, but we will not fixate
on this moment forever. He will this will be one
of the bigger things of his coaching life.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Is tonight.

Speaker 3 (40:49):
Whatever happens, he will remember forever. And Gary Parrish's point was,
if you have a chance to give a person joy
or have a chance to give them pain, why not
just give them joy. Now I'm not saying I totally
agree with that, but I also don't think that's a

(41:10):
crazy point to say. Look that first time, it's gonna
matter to him more than it matters to any of us.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
So just keep that in me.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
That was his point, and I actually thought that was
a valid point.

Speaker 4 (41:25):
It's a very valid point. And while we're throwing flowers.

Speaker 3 (41:28):
And Gary Paris is someone who doesn't like Caliperi at all,
somebody is the one who.

Speaker 4 (41:34):
Said that, I think it's a very valid point. So
the flowers we should give. You know, cali Peri raised
a lot of money to help a lot of people
in this state, the flooding victims, the Tornado victims.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
That's great.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
I don't think that has anything to do with sports
booing thought to be fair to people, there's not one
person in here who wouldn't say it was awesome what
cal did for flooding in Tornado. Not one person that
really doesn't have anything to do though with this. I
kind of like Drew when people flight that. You know,
no one is.

Speaker 5 (42:03):
Ungrateful for coach col and the communities around Kentucky. I mean,
that's silly. This is separate. This is a basketball game,
it's a competition. Pope said that on the thing about
this interaction and giving him joy.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
I hear that.

Speaker 5 (42:14):
No disagree, But also there's consequences for your actions, and
when you're thinking about going to Arkansas, your brain should
be like, well, I'm gonna have to play Kentucky, and
if I'm really gonna make this jump, I'm gonna be
putting this awkward spot one day. Yeah, so he doesn't
just get a pass on that like that. He went
to Arkansas knowing this day was coming and he made
that decision. Yeah, this wasn't like you know, he's another
conference and an random draw in the tournament. Oh no,

(42:35):
I got paired with him. No, he knew this game
was gonna happen when he's not in the contract.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
And that's the counterpoint. And that's a fair point. I don't.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
I don't think it's fair though, for because this will
happen if he gets booed, people will go, look what
all he did? You know, Billy Gillespie was a disaster here,
and you know what, he also did good stuff. He
really also donated money to children's cancer like.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
You have the big Dance Blue moment where.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
He exactly, people are complicated people. Nobody's all good, No,
bloody's all bad.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
You know.

Speaker 1 (47:04):
Qut the back.

Speaker 3 (47:05):
It's a Kentucky Select Chevy Dealers KSR pregame show Duke
thirty nine to thirteen on North Carolina.

Speaker 4 (47:10):
I'm glad they went there. Wells in a really good game.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
All right, those of you in town who want to
come to the game to come watch here, Like I said,
give it thirty forty more minutes. It'll this place is
going to clear out. It's clearing out slower than I
thought it would, but I still think it will clear
out and then you can be ready for the game.

Speaker 1 (47:31):
And I think it should be to be fun.

Speaker 4 (47:33):
It's definitely something if they win and we're you got
a packed house in here. This is a deep place
to because it could be a lot of fun in here.

Speaker 5 (47:41):
If we lose, though, were you all percentage? I'm like
ninety percent excited, ten percent nerves? What is your excitement
versus nerves? Break down there, like nervous about losing sixty forty?

Speaker 1 (47:52):
Oh, just because I want it for Pope?

Speaker 4 (47:57):
Yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (47:58):
I yeah, I just I want it for Pope.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
I'm now over the court.

Speaker 3 (48:03):
I've met both his wife and all, but I think
one of his daughters just randomly.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
All at different times, really, and.

Speaker 3 (48:11):
They're all just so nice like and they're all and
then you take how nice Mark is and I want
it for them. I don't want this to hang over them,
Like it doesn't have a huge effect on the season
in or either way, but I don't want it to
be something Ryan that hangs over him because otherwise I
think this season has been like perfection for him.

Speaker 4 (48:32):
Yeah, you know, you beat Duke, Louisville and Tennessee, your
three rivals. People are gonna be happy no matter what.
But this game would hang over him if he can't
win this. When the night Cal's first trip back, the
guy he who replays you are you boy?

Speaker 20 (48:42):
That was strong.

Speaker 4 (48:44):
What's that you said that?

Speaker 1 (48:45):
Like like you were stephen A like it was this
game would hang over him.

Speaker 4 (48:50):
Well, I feel a little stephen A bran A.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
I'm nine two twenty two eighty seven. Who's next, Matt, Matt,
go ahead.

Speaker 25 (48:59):
Matt, Hey, guys, what's kind of piggybacking off Christian take earlier?
You know, Kentucky? I think I saw Stexons like twenty
eighth and possession for game Arkansas is one hundred and
twenty eighth. I'm still running two guards, you know, with
DJ and John L. I mean, if it's a pay
game for the cast, I mean he's a mark in

(49:21):
the second half, I could just see to just take
it off. And then another thing on that game day
with Greenberg, it's funny that he will hold Dan Hurley's
water and take up for him with his shenanigans with
I'm the best coach, and then is very quick to
criticize Kentucky fans as is a little holier than now.
So it's kind of the common way and just ignoring

(49:42):
Kentucky today on game day.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
You're exactly right, Matt.

Speaker 3 (49:45):
You know what the good thing is his opinion matters
less and less and as long as that show is
not great, you're gonna have the saving situation. I appreciate
the call eight, but I'm nine two eight. I mean literally,
it's forty to fifty. Good greet.

Speaker 4 (49:58):
It ain't gonna get closer.

Speaker 5 (49:59):
I mean, did Caylen Wilson commit to a program that's
not gonna have a coach?

Speaker 1 (50:03):
Yeah? Maybe?

Speaker 3 (50:04):
By the way, I think I think Duke and Auburn
are the two best teams, and I think it's the
Auburn game was actually very impressive.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
They did not play.

Speaker 3 (50:12):
Well today and still won at Old Miss Old Miss Road. Yeah,
like that was I think that was. I mean, I
don't think they'll go undefeated because they still gonna play
Alabama twice and they got to play us.

Speaker 1 (50:22):
But like they're they're pretty good.

Speaker 4 (50:26):
You know, everybody on the on the floor could shoot
the three for them if they're so dangerous with.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
Our late game.

Speaker 5 (50:31):
This is the most sec basketball watched on Saturday, and
as I can remember, and I watched every game, and
that one was tight with about it was a two
point game a little bit left, but they pulled away.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
But they just looked so good.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
Yeah, and you know, Missouri is six and two and
Missouri is eighteen last year and they have the same coach.
It's not like they brought in somebody new. He just
went from Owen eighteen. He's still coach of the Year
from Poeman and.

Speaker 4 (50:53):
They're really good like this.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
He deserves it.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
I mean, to go from Oen eighteen to six and
two is kind of wild. Who's next Chester and they
weren't by like thirty a Mississippi State Chester.

Speaker 26 (51:04):
Go ahead, Hey, Matt, I'm listening. I've tore to Jesus
about all this. Here be my dream. Here be my
dream when when the players are now we cheer them
and at some point in the game we get a
Tyler Euless chat doing because he's my favorite player in
basketball for the University.

Speaker 6 (51:22):
Stucky in all time.

Speaker 26 (51:23):
And I don't think he would want to be there.
I think he'd rather be here if he could. Yeah,
And then if I could just have my brothers on
the on the cow thing, but we don't have to
cheer him and we don't have to do him. If
I could have my dream, and I know this won't happen,
if we could take a moment of silence for the
death of the slow death that happens here these last

(51:44):
four years when what we had to watch. It don't
do my heart any good.

Speaker 6 (51:48):
It's a sad, sad thing, especially when I think.

Speaker 26 (51:50):
About having to reach Shepherd and the way that it
ended for him. Born and bred right here in Kentucky.
He deserved a final four.

Speaker 18 (51:57):
Matt and Cow.

Speaker 26 (51:59):
Could have stuck it. He could have stuck it to it.
But I'll give it. He walked away. He walked away,
he knew he had failed. And I don't take no
joy or no satisfaction in it. It's a sad, sad situation.
It deserves a moment of silence, is what it deserves.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
Well, I appreciate the call. I think that's an interesting
way to look at it, Jester, a moment of silence.
I also want a moment of silence for what reed
Shepard did tonight.

Speaker 4 (52:29):
Did he lose a bet? Is that why he's wearing
an Arkansas shirt?

Speaker 3 (52:33):
So for people we don't know, he walked into the
Arkansas game tonight, Rockets game. Excuse me, the the Arkansas game,
the Rockets game tonight with an Arkansas T shirt in
Kentucky shorts.

Speaker 4 (52:47):
I thought maybe he lost a bet.

Speaker 1 (52:49):
I mean, at least to the Kentucky shirt Arkansas shorts.

Speaker 5 (52:51):
It's almost more trim in Arkansas, just looks like just
a pair of blue shorts. There's a picture of Stacey
in Arkansas from Gear a while back to so they
they've embraced the hog.

Speaker 4 (53:03):
Wow, bunny, how light turns and twists. Yeah, they were
not happy with cal for a long time.

Speaker 1 (53:08):
I'm not sure if I would have done that. You know,
I love it.

Speaker 5 (53:14):
I mean, arkansaw people hanging all of a sudden.

Speaker 1 (53:16):
Be cheering for him. I don't I don't know what
I think about that. All right, who's next? Johnny Rocker,
Johnny Rocker, go ahead, No, that's Ryan, Ryan, It's here,
Johnny Rocker.

Speaker 3 (53:27):
Sorry, I'm just a little shaken by the reed Shepherd thing.

Speaker 4 (53:31):
From the John Elder Law Office in Lebanon, Kentucky. It's
time for the Johnny Rocker role player of the game.
Johnny Rockers role player. Have you been injured? Get small
town compassion with big city results when you call the Rocker.
There is one guy sits on the Kentucky bench that
knows all about John cal Perry. He recruited him, he
wanted to play for him, his dream, his entire high
school career was played for coach cal Uk and then
he leaves him. Travis Perry, who's gonna play tonight without

(53:53):
Lama Butler. He's still gonna get a lot of minutes.
He's gonna have to guard DJ Wagner. Travis Perry will
give more than one hundred percent. So he's Johnny Rocker
role player of the games.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
Can I tell you why I like that?

Speaker 5 (54:03):
John Caliperry was not gonna let Travis Perry see the floor.
And if he has an impact as a true freshman
against DJ Wagner, I mean that is poetic for for
Travis Perry.

Speaker 1 (54:15):
Yeah, that would be.

Speaker 3 (54:16):
Now you want to talk about a person who would
get some satisfaction if Travis Perry were to hit a
couple of shots, because he would not have played if
cows No, I mean he recruited him because he felt
like he had to because he's gonna go to Old Miss.

Speaker 1 (54:29):
He told him, I'm not playing you, and did he?

Speaker 5 (54:32):
Jack Pilgrim said that on sources say Today with a
little scoop, and Travis said, I'm gonna make you play me.
I'm still committing and Cal's like, okay, but I'm not
playing you. And that was per Jack earlier.

Speaker 18 (54:41):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (54:41):
Wow, that would make it.

Speaker 3 (54:43):
Yeah, so watch the watch the Travis Perry stare right
at him.

Speaker 11 (54:47):
Right.

Speaker 1 (54:48):
It is now tied for our Pennstation picks Kats in.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
Arkansas, one of the most highly anticipated games in UK history,
Ryan Lemon.

Speaker 1 (54:57):
Who wins and who's the MVP?

Speaker 4 (54:58):
Kentucky wins eighty one to sixty six over the Hogs,
and my MVP will be Jackson Robinson. He's gonna have
to play a lot of point again. He seems to
play better when he cut the Bonny's hands a lot.
So I go Jackson Robinson, go.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
With the Cats. Obviously, I'll give the Arkansas. I'll give
him a cover.

Speaker 5 (55:13):
I think a dude plays very well and I think
he's gonna be a matchup nightmare. But Kentucky still wins
eighty one seventy three. My MVP is Kobe Brea because
Chin's gonna draw up that Jack Golkie defense where they
try to steal it running we out behind the three
point line and leave Hi wide open for three. So
Brea Goki's Chin and Calligan tonight.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
But he took my two MVPs.

Speaker 3 (55:32):
I'm gonna take Kentucky seventy nine, seventy three.

Speaker 1 (55:36):
I'll say the MVP is Amari Williams, just.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
Because I think he can do well on the glass
against this group if he wants to.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
Maybe play a little point guard.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
And I also think for Kentucky fans, if you're at
the game, but if you're at home, take a minute
and really enjoy the five to ten minutes before the
game and the start, like this is why we're fans.
This is like this will be we still reference with
Tino game twenty years ago. This will get referenced by
the person that replaces me in twenty years. This will

(56:08):
be one of the culminating moments of Kentucky basketball history.
Enjoy it. Don't just be nervous like I am. Enjoy it.
I'm gonna go get my car and go so I
can experience it as well. Thank you guys very much.
Come watch the game here. I'll be here for the postgame.
Either way, I hope it's not a depressing one. I
hope it's a fun one.

Speaker 1 (56:27):
Got this.

Speaker 3 (56:28):
This has been the Kentucky Select Chevy Dealers KSR pregame,
show Cats going to play the Hags, the return of
cow Let's send him Home?

Speaker 1 (56:36):
Sad Go, Kentucky. This is KSR.
