Speaker 1 (00:02):
It's time for Chilicothee High School basketball action on the
home of the Cabs fourteen ninety wb E X powered
by Where Funeral Home, Adina Health System and Holler Funeral Home.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Hostage.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
We're sitting down in our court side seed as always,
just a couple of arms linked away from the Chilicoffee
bench here at the Thomas M. Cup at court and
lou As, I welcome you in. I guess the first
coaching question I would have for you is I actually
got this question today. Non league game draws already out,
tournament and seedings are known, matchups are known, It's not

(01:02):
an fac game.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
What's the motivation to play?

Speaker 3 (01:05):
And and and kind of what's the mindset in terms
of you trying to get your kids ready to play?

Speaker 4 (01:09):
If your coach Beer, well, if you're Chillicothy, what you're
looking at is you're trying to get your team to grow.
This is still a you know, growth or a team
and you know process, however you want to look at it,
so you want to get your team to grow. I
thought they played extremely well against New Albany, you and
I had them here at home on Hall of Fame night,
and then I thought they took a little step back

(01:30):
last week with a non league game against Central Crossing.
You know, if you're going to assess your team, I
think that was a week night non league game where
I think if you look at the matchup, they're better.
There were better than the Central Crossing. They didn't come
out and play that way. So this is a night
where hey, we have got a show we're getting better.

(01:51):
Non league game. You know, you're playing against a team
that hasn't had a real good season. Matchup wise, it
looks like you have the better matchups. So we need
to come out and play. We need to come out
and show that we have grown, we have gotten better,
and just play a total game.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Well, we'll certainly get the logan ELM in a second.
They're an interesting storyline, but I guess along the lines
of what you're saying is consistency.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Let me throw this at you here, ChIL.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Coffee, in terms of trying to find that consistent balance.
They've been chasing this five hundred mark all year long.
You know, they start one and zero and then they
fall to one and three, and then I look down here,
three and five, They fall to four and eight at
one point, but then they rattle off three in a row,
seven and eight. No shame in the New Albany loss,
as you said, But then the Central Crossing loss was
a night where they were chasing five hundred. Now they're

(02:36):
back to nine and ten again. The ability to get
to ten and ten, you tell me this momentum a
real thing? Or do we over use that cliche in sports?
As you entered the postseason, it's a big hump to
get over. I mean, you want to get to that.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
I think deep down inside at the beginning of the year,
that's what you know, Coach Beard and the coaching staff
are thinking, Hey, if we can get to five hundred
or above with this team, we're gonna make some strides.
And I think that's still there for them. That's a possibility.
You know, you get to five hundred tonight and you
still have two games, you have a chance to go
five hundred or in the year or better if you

(03:10):
look at it that way. So, yeah, this is a
big hump, a big game for them. Again, does it
really mean anything and the whole scheme of things, no,
but it is a big game for Tillicath just to
get over that hump, get to that ten win I mean,
double digit wins is a big thing when you talk
about basketball, and I think if they can get to
that tonight, I think it might propel them to take

(03:33):
them off to the rest of the year because they
you look at their matchups even in the tournament, they
can go on a nice little run here.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
You know, Logan Ell the tonight's opponent, They're a story.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
It's got me Buffalo a little bit, if I'm being honest.
I've watched them on film probably now four or five times,
and they're extremely talented. You know, they come in at
six and fourteen. They got off to one and seven start,
They had it back to four and nine, and then
it just kind of went south on them and again
six and fourteen. Overall three and nine a sixth place
in the Mid State League Buckeye Division, which is obviously

(04:06):
really really good, you know, but here's the start. You know,
when you're eight games under five hundred, you think, well, man,
they've probably really been whooped a couple, do not, really?
There they're minus point five in the differentials. That they've
lost seven times by seven points or less.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Makes sense of that for me. You know, that's.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Obviously a team that's really really scary come m a
time if they start to click.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Yeah, and again this is a team dealing with some
injuries too. You got to remember they had a really
big injury with football. But again, a team that's still
really trying to find themselves. You know, a couple of
years ago coach Stuyverson decided to step down. Had a
fantastic career at Logan ELM. This program is still trying

(04:49):
to find itself, all right. They had a little bit
of tournament success last year. They got a phenomenal player
in the wall Kid, but again they're still trying to
find themselves as a team and very capable of any
night stepping on the floor and playing with We know
their schedule was difficult and we've seen them play good
against some very good teams. A tough team to get

(05:13):
ready for. But I think if your coach Beard, you
don't even worry about that other team. You just try
to make sure your team's ready to go tonight. That's
what he needs to be focused on.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Well, we're coming up on the nine minute mark. Will
step away for a quick time out.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Stay with us.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
We'll be back to take a closer look at tonight's matchup.
You'll listen to Chili coffee boys basketball in fourteen ninety WBEs.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
All right.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
Since the day I stopped drinking, my life has gotten
better and better. I can't take any credit for it.
It just seems that without alcohol, I think better. I'm
more careful with money. I watch what I say. I
don't get into trouble like I did when I was drinking.
It's scary trying to walk through life alone.

Speaker 6 (05:50):
Today, I have that.

Speaker 5 (05:51):

alone again. Alcoholics anonymous it works.

It's a conversation with your child about vaping today.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Welcome back to Chillicothe High Schools.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Jane Combs and lou Hostage coming up about seven minutes
ago here before tonight's tip off. If we look at
tonight's starting lineups for the Logan elm Braids, they'll start
Junior Zane Seamer, Senior Tyler Spees, Junior Brady Neph Junior

(07:29):
Lucas Biley, and again, as we highlighted there in our
first segment, the six to three senior Namaiah Wall outstanding
player again for Coach Dropsy and his Logan el Braids
at Seamer, Speeds, Nef Biley, and Wall.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
We're your Chilicothy Cavaliers.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Coach Beard will run him out as he normally does
with senior point guard Wan Miller. He'll be joining to
buy a court by sophomore Caden Cox and junior Cooper
stone King, and then the front line the pair of
forwards Andrew Hammond, a six four sophomore, and Cam Badger,
the six to three senior. One more time for Coach Beard.
That's Miller, Cox and stone King, Hammon and Badger and Lou.

(08:08):
When we look at the particular matchups, you know, the
one thing you mentioned Wall, and my pregame notes the
one thing I looked at is Chulick Hafey has been
burnt several times this year by some role players that
have been able to shoot the three. Now overall, I
gotta give him their credit. They've done a pretty good
job on the stars. The guy at the top of
the scouting report, whoever that is. You know one Miller

(08:30):
in company's done a pretty good job. Is you come
into this matchup. Sometimes I feel like coaches can get
caught in between because a kid like Wall is gonna
get his no matter what you do, and then all
of a sudden, Logan ELM's gonna spread the quarter four
or five shooters talk me through a little bit sometimes
and from a coaching perspective on how you tried to
some people say pick your poison, but you're trying to
come in and take something away with talking me through

(08:53):
that a little bit.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
But I think if you're looking at the Wall, you
know how you want to defend him. I think he
defended him with multiple players. This Chillicothe teams got multiple
players that can defend pretty well and have some length
to them, so they could cause some problem with Wall.
I think when you do that, you tell the rest
of your players, hey, we don't really need to help
too much. You gotta make sure, hey, if this guy's

(09:15):
a shooter or that guy's a shooter, you got to
know where they are and you've got to be able
to recover. We are not going to necessarily help a
ton off of your man on the wall. But again,
I like the how Chillicothe's team is. They have multiple
guys that can guard a player. I think if you take,

(09:35):
you know, certain things, and you put somebody on him
for a couple of minutes and then change off somebody
else that also is gonna maybe throw off Wall as well.
But again, let's agree that to this. He's a tremendous
player and if he's on, he's on. No matter what
you're gonna do, you're not gonna stop him. But again,
I think Chilli Coothy, you've got to play your game.

(09:55):
You gotta make sure you only give him one shot
at the basket. You can't give up second shot opportunit.
It eas to a team like this if they end
up hitting some threes, you gotta adjust. You got to
start taking some things away. But I think if you're
chillicothe you've got to come out and play your game.
You've got to make sure you're mentally ready to go
from the start. Don't worry about that team. Worry about

(10:16):
your team. Make sure they're ready to go mentally and
do what they do best defend well.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
We're hoping to get the Calves back to ten and
ten this evening, and then later in the week it'll
be a Friday Saturday back to back FAC matchup for
the Chillicothee Cavaliers. They'll travel to Jackson on Friday night
and then they will travel to McLean on Saturday night. Basically,
in the FAC there's a couple scenarios to talk about.

(10:43):
Chili Cooffee has clinched outright third place in the league.
They should still tie Jackson for second place if they're
able to win both games this weekend, So that's something
to continue to play for Miami Trace undefeateed overall undefeed
in the FAC Technically, oh Jackson is still mathematically ahead
because Miami Trace has.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
To play Hills bro and Washington Courthouse.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
So again, all kinds of things that play for this
weekend once we get through the regular season. And I
should note too, over on the WKKJ side, we'll have
that big Paint Valley UNI other game on Saturday. Unis
clinched to share with Zane Trace. If they win, they
would win the SPC outright. That'll be over on KKJ
Saturday night. Then, Lou, as we look in the next
week tournament wise, what can you tell us here about

(11:26):
the Chillicothe Cavaliers and the drawl there on the bracket
that you're showing me?

Speaker 4 (11:30):
Well, I know, and we talked with the new Albedy
game with coach Beard. He was really excited about the
opportunity to be able to play that first round game
at home and he's going to have that opportunity because
Chillicothe is the four seed, so they're gonna be able
to play at home that Tuesday. So Tuesday the eighteenth,
they're gonna be able to play a home game against Sheridan,

(11:53):
who's the fifth seed. So that game will be right
here at Chillicothey High School at seven pm Tuesday, February eighteenth.
So their first round game is going to be a
home they win that game, they will go to Miami Trace.
We saw last time they played Miami Trace here that
was a two point game right down to the wire.
I think that Tillicothe team, you can't overlook that first

(12:14):
round game, but I think they would be very confident
going into that second round game at Miami Trade.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Well, especially now in Miami Trace has a really tough
one with Membord. I didn't hear if that game was
postponed the night or not, and then they obviously have
this weekend.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
So but nonetheless, really good basketball team.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
While we're talking tournaments, should shout out to the chillicothee listeners,
the Lady Cavaliers will be on the long bus trip
down to Athens tomorrow night. They are the sixth seed Athens,
the three seat and then the winner of that game
will go to Unio to this Saturday into the next round. Well,
we're coming up on about a minute and a half

(12:49):
to go here and warm up, so we'll step aside
one more time and we'll be back with the night's
tip off. Stay with us year listening to Chilicothe Boys
basketball in fourteen ninety WBX.

Show, so keep on mine on Friday. Lou correct me
if I'm wrong. No WKKJ game, but over on the
WBX side we will have the Chilicothe Jackson game and
then I'll be making a trip back to the studio
there with Finess and Sydney for the accurd heating, pooling
and plumbing score, which show talked to a bunch of coaches.
We usually get about twelve thirteen coaches a week. It's
been going really really well. I've really enjoyed that. And

(17:16):
then Saturday night somebody will be going over to McLean
to get the Chillicothe McLean game onto the WBX side,
and then I'll be out of Paint Valley for the
Unioda at Paint Valley SVC showdown. That will determine if
Uniota and Zane Trace will share the league or if
Uniota will take the SVC Outright, well, we've gone through

(17:37):
the Logan Elms starting lineup as I read off for
you earlier. Now the lights go out in the student
section continues to be really really good this year. It's
been one consistent thing in the crowd. I've been really
impressed with student body and the support. They get the
spotlight down there and they get the five starters come
through and.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Remember the good lou.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
If you think about it, it's a situation where home
court really nighters and in high school sports, all the
years I've done this, there's something about role players. Different
things they just seem I don't know if it's a
relaxation thing or whatever, but it just seems that the
kids just seem to play better at home. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
I mean, there's a home court advantage for a reason,
and it's been that way for a year, and hopefully
that votes true here tonight for the Chili Gothy game.
I just happened to look there that Minford at the
Miami Trace game was cancelled for tonight, and I don't
know if they're going to make it up or not.
Doesn't look like it.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Well, we're about ready to get going here.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Chili Coaffee will be moving our left or right with
Logan Ellen back to our right to left. Here in
first half action, Chili Coaffee is always in their home
Whites with the Curse of Chili Coafee in blue above
the blue number.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
It'll be Wall versus Cox. Here we go.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Kind of a pretty even tip, but Chila Coffee comes
out with it and Won Miller will have it. He
puts the play up in the air.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
And here we're under what Logan home and man the
man here to start handed.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Off the ham and now hamm and wanted cocks down
low now back out the badger. Badger will use the
left hand dribble. Now backs it back out. One Miller
will come get it back. He'll look to penetrate through
the legs into the middle.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Shot up.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
No good outcomes Wall with the rebound logan On will
look to push. They have numbers three on two. One
Miller does a pretty good job getting back. The Wall
gets all the way to the rim and lays it
in too nothing Braves.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Yeah, no one stepped up to stop him. He was
able to take it from rebound to the bucket with
no stoppage. And you've got to do a better job
defensively than that.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Back comes Chilicafe in a hurry.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
It was a left hand dribble penetration from stone King
and on the shot he draws the contact.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
They're going to say it was on the floor, so
the calves will take it underneath.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
So God, they needs to have a good offensive possession here.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
One Miller to nice and bender a nice little move
away from the ball there with Cocks and and he
hits him on the opposite lock and he lays it in.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Cayden Cox ties it it too. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
I thought, I think that's a matchup that we could
really go to Cox can He's strong and need taking
the ball inside.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
Wall plays a little ball screen two man game had
had Seamer on the roll, good look, just put a
little bit too much on it and ended up throwing
it away back over the Chili Cooffee Cavaliers.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
Yeah, he was wide open underneath there. I think that's
on the pass there. That pass did not need to
be that hard and he was not ready to catch
something like that.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Tied it to just a minute in that comes one.
Miller goes right side stone King. Stone King with the
left hand dribble now through the legs. Wants to go
back to the right penetrate kick Now Cox has it
up top. Left side Badger Badger with the jab step.
Now stone King has it up top. He'll go to
the left hand penetration Now ham and pretty good job
by the braves cutting off the middle. Cox has it

(20:55):
at the left point. High ball screen from Badger. Now
back out the stone King, stone King off a ball
screen from Badger. Badger on the roll stone King, Oh,
will go right inside the Cox Cox guarded by Watts.
A really athletic matchup. Should be fun to watch Miller
download a Cox Cox up on the glass. No good,

(21:16):
Seemer has it for the braves. Wall brings it up
across the timeline on the left side, hands it off
to Speed. Now Neph has it.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Back to Wall. He'll try atop the key.

Speaker 4 (21:28):
Three.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
No good offensive rebound for Seemer and he loses it.
Badger takes it away.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Yeah, Fortunately for Chilli Coathy there. They didn't get the
second chance opportunity, but got to do a better job
defensive rebound.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Still tied to two, five forty two and counting. Here
in the first quarter, Miller goes right, point to stone King,
stone King, hard dribble to the right, shot up off
the glass and good, nice little runner, soft touch Cooper
stone King four to two caps logan elm. A lot
of switching there on the fall screens out front. Back

(22:02):
comes Nep tried to penetrate Bager, cut him off, lost
it momentarily. Biley gets it back. Now it's spees his
right side. Neft thought about a three. Now he's gonna
pull up from the elbow shot. No good, Badger with
the rebound. Calves up four to two with the basketball
just three minutes in Badger penetration. Back to stone King.

(22:25):
He'll try atop the key three. Never really quite had
control of the basketball.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
No good, and the Braves come out with it.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
Yeah, it didn't get fully squared up either. You've got
to be able to do that to have a good shot.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
At left side. It's Biley, one of the flare screen
with wall. Wall didn't see it.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Out comes stone King into the open court. He's gonna
lay it in. Nice break for the Calves.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Six to two. Chilicopie out in front.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Yeah, logan him. Three turnovers here in the first quarter,
and a couple of them are just bad passes.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Half off of and they just leave him off the
ball screen and Brady Neph's gonna dial up a triple
from the left wing and knock it down. Miscommunication from
the Calves six to five Chilikopi.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
Yeah, that's what you were talking about earlier. You cannot
leave some of these three point shooters right there. They
left him totally wide open.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Stone King across the timeline into the scrimmage area. Hand
off right side, it's Miller. Miller used the left hand,
try to penetrate middle. He's cut off there. Back out
the stone King and he'll dial up a deep one
and he answers the three with one of his own,
nine to five Calves in front.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
Yeah, good to see him off to a good start. Uh,
he can really light it up once he gets going.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Wall brings it up, guarded by Miller. Miller giving up
some size there, but Miller's been out standing on elite
players all year long. Math tries to pull up jump
or no good Logan elm had it for a second
on the offensive rebound.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Now there's a question. Ball pops out of bounds.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
Looks like you're going to keep it here with Logan home.
Coach Beard wanted it to go the other way, but
referee said, no, we're going to keep it here.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Yeah, coach Beard, does it get the vote, So it's
out top to nef Now gives away to Wall, now
guarded by Cox. Wall through the legs, gets to the
right hand, good help from Badger there. Tries to throw
it download a seam er picked off.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
By the Calves.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Out comes Cox with it. Calves by four with the
basketball three twenty to go, first quarter and they lose it.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Wall out and up the cord and canlow it away.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
That could have been showtime on the one end, and
said it's another unforced Loganilm turnover.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
Yeah, that's number five turnover on the night. Again, three
of them have just been bad passages where you had
a guy wide open.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
So nine to five Chili cooffee three seventeen Logan Elm
will pick up in the full court man a man
now the clear at out, stone King will bring it
up against speed, stone King into the Scrimmagerry goes.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Right side Cox, Cox up top the badger.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Badger squares up, gonna hand it off the mill or
Miller rips through the right hand, gets it all the
way to the rims shot up, no good, ham it
up on the offense. A rebound shot no good, and
Miller had it momentarily. Now we have contact on the rebound.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Let's see.

Speaker 3 (25:05):
I think they've got a Logan Elm bow gonna get
Tyler Speeds. That's his second team second So already they're
gonna be forced to go to the bench. Here, Lucas
Bailey into the game and bound bounces underneath there into

(25:30):
stone King and then raise it in. Two times in
a row. They've got the same spot.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Yeah, they've been able to get the ball underneath with
an out under twice and that's that's a no no.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Defensively, eleven five chili coffee Steamer has it on the
right wing, guarded by Hammon. Now back up, it's with
Russell into the game. Russell penetrates with the left hand,
goes left corner. It's neft three ball, no good good
box out from him and and he gives way to
stone King. Chuliakoffee by six with the all stone King

(26:01):
driving hard of the right hand, leaves.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
It for Badger.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Badger up through contact and he scores thirteen to five jilicof.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
And we've got a time out on the floor. It's
a short one. We'll stay here, you know.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
Ru We talked about the energy level of the pre game,
the focus, and so far, so good for the Cups.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
After that first possession offensively, I wasn't real sure, but
they have settled down there and played good defense and
a lot of good offensive possessions. And I like the
fact that they're attacking the bucket. They're not settling for
outside shots. They're taking it to the hole and taking
it strong. Some of those they've made through contact. So
that's a that's a good thing too.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Now in fairness, the logan, now I know you were
giving the turnover total, and I would say all but
one or two of those probably unforced.

Speaker 9 (26:43):
Is that fair?

Speaker 4 (26:44):
That's a fair assessment there. And again, if you're that's
a team that you know, probably all year long, we
haven't seen them a whole lot, but all year Loan,
that's probably a lot of things that spend their problems
through some games. You just cannot give turnovers away, you know,
give possessions away when you're a team that really struggles
to score sometimes.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Out of the time out logan ELM possession. Now we'll
bring it up guarded by Badger and I'll give way
to Wall. Russell has it on the left side, elbow
entry to Seemer hand off Wall, he'll pull up from
the mid range. No good ham and fighting for the
loose balld and f comes out. Now Badger comes out
with it. Badger pushes into the open court, up off
the glass, and they're going to get a Logan Elm foul.

(27:28):
And I think they're going to give him the actor shooting.
I think Cam's gonna get to go to the free
throw line.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
And again I like this taking its drowne to the whole,
not worrying about what's going on, defensively. That's gotta be
something that Coach Beard's got to be happy about.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Foul on Owen Russell his first team's third as Cam
Badger goes to the free throw line. Cam's first free
throw is good, fourteen to five. Chili Cooffee in front
one fifty four to go.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
First quarter.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
Shane Holmes loop post is glad you're with us here
with this Chilicothee boys basketball. Great opportunity for them to
even their record the night. Second free pro good fifteen
to five. Carted Liggan off the bench for Coach Beard
will replace Spager, and the tabs will pick up in
the full court here and bend the wall guarded by Miller.

(28:18):
They'll clear it out and go one on one. Now
goes a little running jump as Cooper will go as
the ball comes across half court, and I think they're
gonna get Miller got a little handsy there off the dribble.
He looked like Coach Beard was wanting to sen a
little running jump as the ball comes across half court.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
Yeah, they wanted to sort of attack the ball there,
and Wall saw him coming and he tried to go
around the defender and they got one on the fountain.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
How top, Russell gives way to Wall on the right side,
right in front of the Chilicothee students. He rips through
to the right hand and dribble poked away by Miller,
but Wall gets it back. Now the handoff goes to
Bailey up top. Nef rips through and I think he
took the extra step on the jib step traveling violation,
turns it back over to the Calves.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Another turnover.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
Yeah, Miller's done a good job of guarding Wall. He's
giving up what good four or five inches there?

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Maybe, Yeah, it's truly been the norm throughout the year,
but he's been outstanding in some of those matchups. If
I think back through the year, he's guarded some really
good players this year. Miller right side to Hammon. Hammond
uses the left hand dribbled to reverse it over to
the left point to stone King. Stone King now gives
the cocks back up top to ham and poked away

(29:31):
by Wall. Gonna come all the way over by us
and they're gonna say it poked off his head and
they're gonna give it over to the Braves.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
That'll be the first turnover of the night for chilicothe.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Lucas Biley right in front of us, will win bend
for the Braids, so they'll thud to back court the nef.
Fifteen to five chili coffee. One minute to play, first quarter.
Nef goes right side by, It fakes the hand off.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Now hands it off to Wall. Wall gets a lick.
Wall will pull up shot.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
No good, Seemer with another offensive rebound put back good.
Fifteen to seven. He's ain't Seemer giving his team a
nice lift on the offensive liass.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
Yeah, you talk about that letticism. They're legging in Wall
going at it. That's pretty good there.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
That's worth the price of admission for sure. Fifteen to
seven chili coffee. Thirty five seconds in counting. Let's see
if the Cavs can hold well. I never more say
that it's poked out of bounds.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
They'll keep it. You know, some of the situational basketball's
hurt Chilipathy throughout the years.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
In some of these key situations. You played a great
quarter here. The last thing you want to do is
not execute in the last thirty seconds.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
Yeah, it looks like we're gonna try to maybe get
a little five wide. See if we can't get somebody
breaking to the bucket or drive to the bucket.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
Here Cox has it out top. The official shows with
the hands opened that they break the count thirteen twelve
in counting. Cox eyes the scoreboard. Now he's gonna look
to go to about eight through the legs, goes to
the left hand into the middle, pull up jumper at
the free throw line.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
No good fight for the loose ball. Wall's gonna come
out with it in.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
The horn will sound when we come to the end
of the first quarter. Chilicothee fifteen logan ELM seven.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Welcome back.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Chilicothie High School started the second quarter here at Chilicoffee
up fifteen seven.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Take us through some of your numbers.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
There live Yeah, Chillicote six for twelve shooting, very good
job bear and Logan Elm is three of nine shooting.
Big thing for Logan Elm. They have six turnovers there
in that first quarter.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
Logan Elm with the basketball to start the second quarter.
Neth has it on the right point, give way to
wall wall guarded by cocks. Threw the legs off a
ball stream. Now from neath's going to attack right baseline
up short corner jump or tough shot knocks it down
fifteen to nine. Jim tough shot like that, Louis Soon
You don't mind.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
If you're Coach Beard, No, you don't. It was defended well.
And again I like how Coach Beard has multiple guys
now that have guarded.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Wall down on the right baseline. It's Badger leaves it
in the middle for Cox and he lays it in.
Nice shot of sharing the basketball. There's seventeen to nine
chilicothee by eight.

Speaker 4 (33:22):
Yeah, Cox came wide open right in the middle of lane.
And good job by Badger seeing him at the last
second and get in the bucket.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
Little weave action out top there for Logan elm Now
Wall has it over on the right side, gonna go
through the legs, Rocker step into a three point shot
too strong, good box out from him, and well they're
gonna say that ham I touched you last Hamn and
felt like they were on his back. They might have
had a case, but nonetheless, Logan ELM's gonna keep possession.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
Yeah, if you can go get the ball, you go
get the ball there. Never let the referee make a
call there.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
Gonna have a Logan elm Obi under opportunity. They run
Russell off the double screen, well defended, picked off by Badger.
Badger out into the open court. Now he's going to
back it back out. Gives way to Miller. Miller to
a heist cut from Cox running the floor as a
rim runner, kind of a late secondary break action. He
lays it in nineteen nine Tillkathy.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
Yeah, good job of finding that open area. That's what
you got to do if you're coming down the floor
a little later, find an open area and let him
find youth.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Wall up top against Miller looking to go one on one,
gets into the middle, plays through all kinds of contact
and whatever to say to look off the basketball. The
calves will certainly take it. Wall certainly played through contact
from two or three calves there.

Speaker 4 (34:40):
Yeah, I think you could have called a foul. You
could have called traveling, but they ended up calling the
ball out of bounce.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Loganellm picks up in the full court and down the Miller.
Now they'll clay out one on one. He's guarded by Russell.
Miller across the timeline with the right hand dribble gives
way to Cox. Cox kind of direct traffic a little bit.
Now off the switch working against Russell little inside out dribble, spins,
pull up mid range jumper up on the rim. No good,

(35:08):
Hammon's got it on the put back and andrew Hammond
into the score column.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
Twenty one to nineteen. Chili Katha.

Speaker 4 (35:14):
Yeah, that's where that length comes into plague. Til Coffy's
got a bunch of guards that are about that same
height sixty two and can go up and get some rebounds.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
Wall has it up top through the legs. Now, I'm
gonna come back. Wanted to ball stream be lost, so
he gives it to Neft in the left corner. History
no good. Great effort from Hammon on the defensive glass
gives way to Liggan. Chili Coffee has a little bit
of an opportunity. But now Logan ELM's back in front
of the basketball, so Chilicothe will slow it up. Calves

(35:44):
up twenty one to nine with the ball. Miller has
it on the left point, uses the right hand dribble,
gets the elbow, turns and throws it back up top.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Hammond.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Now it's ligging down on the right block. Good strong
post move, but he loses it. Out comes Logan Elm
with turnover. Wall using the left hand ribble across the timeline,
high ball screen him from Manson walt a top the
key gets way to Biley, Biley driving hard to the
rim and lays it in Lucas Biley the six to
one junior cuts it to lead the ten at twenty

(36:16):
one to eleven.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
Yeah, that was a really strong driver at the right hand,
going all the way to the bucket.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
Miller rejects a high ball screen from Badger. Now Cox
has it on the right side elbow entry to Hammon,
hamming back out top Badger. Badger working against Manson hard
right hand dribbled. Couldn't tell if he lost it or
wanted to dump it off the cardta Ligan. Nonetheless, I
think it was last deflected by the Braves.

Speaker 4 (36:44):
I think he was. His last thought was to dish
it off, but I don't think he did a really
good job of finding where he was.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Stone King returns for Liggan and a kid on the
obi under just untouched. Stone King comes off the screen,
They drop bounce past, he lays it. Then twenty three eleven.
They've scored six points just off of White up and.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
Left and again. I think I've got stone King for
eleven already.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
High handoff back the wall. Now he gives way to
ne Neth into the middle. He spins good pivot shot
up on the rim.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
No good. Manson and Hammon fighting for the loose ball.
Out comes stone King with it out the Cocks in
the up and court.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Cox oh huff shot off the wrong foot, able to
keep his balance enough to get it up soft on
the left side and that banks in for him.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
Twenty five eleven chaves by fourteen.

Speaker 4 (37:32):
I'll have to ask Coach Beard after the game if
there was an emphasis on really attacking the bucket, because
they have not settled for three point shots at all tonight.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Walling Manson in a two man game off the ball screen,
they throw it into Manson, he kicks it back to
the corner of nef Neth, turns down to three drives
and scores.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
In the midrange.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
Yeah, that's a nice little drive there by Neth shot
or shot fake at the three and then drive it
right to the middle of lane.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
Twenty five thirteen Taves by twelve three twenty eight left
in the first half, Cox running the point guard, comes
across the timeline signaling the play. It took a second
to get everybody in the right spot. Now they're there,
Cox goes off the right hand ribble around the ball screen,
gets all the way to the rim. When Cayden Cox
is in this type of attack but very very difficult
to guard, so.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
Quick off that first dribble there, He's got ten points
on the name.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
Twenty seven to thirteen calves, three minutes to go first half.
Wall has it right in front of us here at
our outstanding seat, fall off a high ball screen, gets
to the right hand playing down the.

Speaker 4 (38:31):
Hill and oh yep, they got to hold out front.
They were gonna call an offensive foul underneath, but they're
gonna call it on Miller out top.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
Miller did a pretty good job of beating to the
spot that Wall continues to stay aggressive and that probably
evens Alex. Like we said, Walls probably played through some
contact on a couple of previous drive.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
I'm not sure if that should have been a two
shot foul though, if you're gonna call it out TI,
that would have been on the drive. The foul on
the shot was a charge yeah, charge block fah yeah,
So I'm not sure about that call. But nonetheless Wall
made his first three throw there.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
Wall a thousand points score earlier this year for his
career second free throw Goods twenty seven fifteen Chilikaffee in front.
Stone King has it in and clears it out, goes
one on one against Russell. Now he's across the timeline
stead He's up between the legs, left side hand off.
It's it's hamming, hamming up top Ligan who's returned to

(39:36):
the line up. Ligan's goes to go hard to the
right hand, gets all the way to the rim and
lays it in. Wow is it correct? Just just rips
through and simply beats his man. Lay up good twenty
nine to fifteen, caves in front. That comes Logan Ell
finally has it up top, comes left side Russell. Now
Manson has it Wall wandered it in the post. Couldn't

(39:59):
get it to him.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
I'll swing it all the.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
Way back around to the right side. Now up the
wall at the left point, working against Cock's high ball
stream from Manson Wall, nice little in and out move,
spins it, gets it to the left hand and lays
it in.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
Nice nice move there from the very talented scene.

Speaker 4 (40:16):
That's what I used to do on that nerf hoop
I had way back when.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Twenty nine to seventeen back on stone King. Stone King
gets downhill and he's bumped from behind. I think that's
going to be in the act of shooting. So you
mentioned Lou You've got stone King off the great start,
going to get a chance to add to it.

Speaker 4 (40:33):
Yeah, and again you know, I can't say this enough,
but until Ky the Cavaliers are taking it hard to
the basket. Again. This is only a third game I've
seen him, but by far, this is the most I've
seen them attack the bucket.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
First free throw good.

Speaker 3 (40:49):
Getting Cooper stone King, the six ' two junior outstanding
shooter getting better all the time off the drive gives
him another dimension to his offensive game. Second free throw
good good thirty one, seventeen one to fifty seven to.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
Go here in the first half, kaz by.

Speaker 3 (41:05):
Fourteen Wall We'll bring it up. He'll be guarded by
the Liggan through the legs. He's just gonna pull it
from deep and then knocks it down walked right into
a three. Tough shot thirty one to twenty taves lead
cut to eleven. Ba comes Cox. They'll jogging in the
Scrimmagerry Ligan has it on the right side crossover. Liggan

(41:27):
gets it all the way to the rim, shot up,
no good.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Rebound.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
Know a netter who just checked into the game, shot
back up, no good, But he has filed nice position
there for netting.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Again, you said it.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
The attack off the dribble is one that made the
help come over. Gives Netder the offensive opportunity.

Speaker 4 (41:44):
Yeah, and give credit there to Netter being ready to
go up and get that offense rebound, not just standing
around watching.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
First free throw in and out. No good.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
So ninety seconds to play here in the first half,
thirty one twenty chili cofee. Netter'll get another opportunity to
push the lead another point, and he makes good on it.
Tabs by twelve. Back comes Wall again, guarded by the
Liggan between the legs, comes back between the legs, Ligan

(42:16):
cuts him off.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
Now Russell has it up top. Russell goes right side.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
That's violin. Now Wall comes back and gets it. Wall
through the legs, locker step. Now I'm gonna pull from
deep and they're gonna say the Ligan got him on
the three. And that might be a senior working against
the freshman, just kind of drawing a little bit of
the contact. But Nonetheless, it's gonna get three free throws
on the trip to the launch.

Speaker 4 (42:42):
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the call when
the guy goes to the floor. If a guy's going
to the floor, he didn't get knocked down, I guarantee
you he's going on his own.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
First free throw, Good cuts it to eleven, so he's
gonna get two more opportunities. It's been a while since
Logan Elm has been within single digits. If he's able
to make these next to it's where they'll be. Second
free throw Good thirty two to twenty two. A minute nine.
We talked situational basketball. This is where the Calves have

(43:16):
played an outstanding first half. They really need to finish
here to feel good about themselves. Going to the locker room.
Third free throw, no Good knocked out of bounds by
Logan Elm. It's going to go back over to the Calves.
So Calves by ten in bound the stone King. He'll
bring it up. Coach Beard calls out to set. He

(43:40):
wants from the opposite end down by us. Stone King
will go right side to Hamm and Hammond looking down
to the short corner to Netter Netdter has it throws
the diagonal deflected, but Chilico the keeping. Now Cox will
try a dep three. No good, ham it up on
the offense of Glass, had it for a minute but
lost it. Out comes Logan Elm with it thirty eight

(44:03):
seconds to play here in the first.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
Half, calves by ten.

Speaker 3 (44:05):
That comes Wall Wall off a ball screen from Manson
through the legs out retreats.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
Now he's gonna pull for three.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
It's short ligging with the rebound ligging, turns into the
uppen court, drops it off for stone King. Stone King
shot up, No good to look, I did the great opportunity.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
Now time and scored.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
Logan ELM's gonna get a chance to take the final shot.
Out comes Nef with it Nef over the wall Wall
on the left wing six five, and they're going to
take a foul out top good good coaching here from
the bench right next to us, understanding situational basketball. Get
the get the foul taking now maybe you have a

(44:46):
chance to get the ball out of Wall's hands.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
Technically you get another foul to give here with four
point one de tekens to go here, you really deny
the inbound pass and maybe get another foul here.

Speaker 3 (44:56):
There you go I'm gonna get another one, just as
who said thirty again thirty two to twenty two to
two point four. I was Chili Coffee's fourth file, So
that now you don't want to do that. Badger's going
to return to the lineup, replacing Ligan coach Beard is

(45:16):
one in both of the guard they thought he wanted
have been slit into neft net will try a deep
three shot, no good, and we've arrived at halftime. Chili
Coaffee thirty two Logan Elbum twenty two. Stay with us
after this time out, we'll be back with first half
totals and we'll peek ahead of the second half. You're

Welcome back to Chilicofe High Schools. We're coming up on
eight o'clock here. You're listening to Chilicoffee boys basketball against
Logan Elm the Semen here on fourteen ninety WBX on
the am side ninety two point seven FM, and of
course world wide on the iHeartRadio. And it was a
good start for the Chill Coffee Cavaliers. Up fifteen to
seven after the first quarter. They stretch it to double

(49:09):
digits and then still lead thirty two twenty two. As
we arrive here at halftime, and lou before we get
to the numbers, I'll ask you first, just give me
your overall take we were worried about kind of a
weird snowy night, a lot of games postponed in the area,
this game on you come out on Tuesday, chasing the
five hundred mark.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
I feel pretty good about the overall effort and the
energy that we've seen the Cows play with.

Speaker 4 (49:33):
Yeah, after that first possession, I thought the Cavaliers really
got down to business. And I really like their mindset
here tonight, And like I've already talked about, offensively, their
mindset is take the ball hard to the whole. If
they're going to give us that opportunity to go, let's go.
And I think they need to continue that here in
the second half because they're a team that can really

(49:54):
take the ball to the whole. I mean all of them.
Cox has a great first step. You talk about Ligan's
off the bench, he has a great first step. Really,
they can all take the stronger the hole. I like
him and inside doing a lot of offensive rebounding. So again, Chilicothy,
I think, for the most part, has come out ready
to play here on a Tuesday night, try to make

(50:16):
a statement here with this game.

Speaker 3 (50:19):
Well, let's take a look at the numbers there in
terms of the shooting turnovers, what stands out for you.

Speaker 4 (50:24):
Well, again, Chillicothy, thirteen of twenty three shooting over fifty percent.
That's good. One for three from beyond the arc. That's
what I really liked. They just didn't settle, you know,
they did make the one three, but again one for
three from beyond the arc and five to six from
the free throw line. You're gonna look at those numbers
and you're gonna take those every time. You'd love to
see that for every half you play. You look at

(50:47):
Logan Elm, Chillicoth the only two turnovers there in the
first half as well, you look at Logan Elm they
are eight of nineteen shooting forty two percent, two of
eight from beyond the arc. They are four or five
from the free throw line. They had eight turn and
again we talked about how many unforced there at least
five to six of unforeced theirs for Logan Elm. There

(51:07):
leading score for Logan Elm was Demaiah Wall. He ended
up with thirteen there in that first half. He had
eleven in the second quarter alone for the Cavaliers. The
third leading scorer was Cooper stone King. He ended up
with I believe thirteen in the first half and Caden
Cox with ten in the first half. So again, those

(51:28):
two players really came out offensively on fire.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
A couple of things jump out at me.

Speaker 3 (51:33):
Won the turnover difference obviously the six, but we talked
in the pregame about how you can't overreact to Wall
making tough shots. Right off the top of my head,
he hit a tough three at the top.

Speaker 2 (51:43):
Of the key of a tough baseline jumper.

Speaker 3 (51:46):
Only one three, I believe for a role player in
the first half. So overall, pretty good job defensively. You
like the way they're guarding the very talented Wall.

Speaker 4 (51:55):
I really do. I liked having multiple guys on him,
keeps him off balance a little bit. Now, I think
you really got to sure up the defensive rebounding. I
know they haven't had a lot of second shot opportunities,
but they've been able to get their ball or their
hands on a lot of offensive rebounds almost got them.
You got to make sure they don't.

Speaker 2 (52:14):
Well.

Speaker 3 (52:14):
The other thing they'll be interested in to see two
logan el I'm sure just talking about keeping the ball
in front, keeping the ball out of the middle, getting
into the rim. This might be an opportunity where you
got to make good decisions, don't have some charges.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
And things like that. Get to that two foot stop,
share the ball. Maybe the three point shot will be
there as a result more than a second and it
may and.

Speaker 4 (52:33):
We could see Logan olt come out here, maybe go
to a zone here in the second half. If that's
the case, we'll have to see how chilicothe reacts to that.
And again, you know, this is a team that is
still learning. This is a team that is still trying
to progress in all these different you know, and the
teaching professident we talked about assessments. Well, you know you're
trying to assess this team. Second half, let's see what

(52:56):
they do they being Logan do defensively and then we've
got to react to and make some changes to that.
So again, this second half a lot still undecided. Kill
Cothy's got to come out with that same some mindset
they did the first half.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Well, again, we'll step away for about a minute time
out at chilicothe leads at thirty two twenty two here
at halftime.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
Make sure you stay with us. We'll be back with
second half action.

Speaker 3 (53:18):

Speaker 3 (54:26):
The Yellsbat Memorial Gymnasium, Shane Colmes Loop Hostage, Chillicothee Cavaliers
out in front on Logan ELM thirty two twenty two
Here at the break to talk to you in the
pregame about upcoming postseason action. First, Chiliicoffee, you'll have a
back to back FAC weekend, both on the road, first
at Jackson Friday night, then at McLean on Saturday, Chilicoffee.

(54:50):
Able to win both of those, they could jump all
the way into a tie for second place in the FAC.
They've already wrapped up the outright third place. Keep in
mind they were two and eight and the FA SEE
a year ago, so a nice step forward for Coach.

Speaker 2 (55:03):
Beard and the Cavs.

Speaker 3 (55:04):
And then, as Lou said in the in the pregame,
Chilicothie is the fourth seat. They'll take on the five
seed shared and here at Chilacafee on Tuesday, the eighteenth.
Fortunate enough to win that one, they'll get another shot
at Miami Trace on Friday night. And again, don't want
to speak for Miami Trace, but I would think that
you view Chilicothee is a dangerous opponent.

Speaker 4 (55:26):
There's no doubt last time you stepped on the floor
is only a two point game. You don't want to
see them again under that bracket.

Speaker 3 (55:33):
Third quarter action will start with a Chilicothee possession. Now
they reversed the court there and moved to our right
to left with Logan Ellen coming back left to right,
try to get an inside the Badger poked away, but
Chilcote keeps possession ham It has it on the left side,
drives hard to the middle, pull up jumper in and out.
Badger fighting for the loose ball and Coach Beard is

(55:54):
going to have a time out while Badger had possession.
So the timeout, Coach felt like it was worth the
possession and they'll be able to keep it see here.

Speaker 2 (56:04):
If they go with a short one, we'll stay here.

Speaker 4 (56:09):
So again that was a good possession, really, I thought.
Again attacking it to the middle Hamm and taking it
strong doesn't get it to fall, but again battling for
that second shot opportunity and is able to stay here
with Chillicothe.

Speaker 3 (56:21):
Looked like there Chillicothe had come out of the locker room.
Coach Beard going with the five that started the game
with one Miller, Caden Cox, Cooper Stone King, Andrew Hammond
and Cam Badger. Looks like Logan Elm will do the
same to my wall. Lucas Biley, Brady, nef Zaye's Seamer.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
And Tyler speeds and right.

Speaker 3 (56:48):
Off the inbound gonna have a turnover back over to
Logan Elm. So kind of a sloppy inbound situation out
of a time out. Hate to see that going to
go back over the break.

Speaker 4 (57:01):
Well, they thought they took it for granted. They thought
they were going to get an open shot underneath, because
they've had three of them. But it wasn't there.

Speaker 3 (57:08):
Nice little set play a backstreen there. They throw it
over the top to that and he lays it in
thirty two to twenty four. Good x's and o's out
of the locker room there for the break. Yeah, definitely
have played called in the locker room. Good two foot
stop for stone Kings shot up on the rim, No
good fight for the loose ball. Gonna be last touch
by Logan Elm. The Calves will keep it another ob
under opportunity. That was a good point where you were

(57:33):
talking about after the three laps in the first half
of Logan Elm obviously clean that up a little.

Speaker 4 (57:37):
Bit, so they're finally able to get it in here.
Probably a four count though all the way out.

Speaker 3 (57:43):
Top the Badger he'll drive hard up off the glass
and good cam Badger shows that versatility a tough matchup.

Speaker 2 (57:49):
For some of the bigs in the area off the dribble.

Speaker 4 (57:52):
Yeah, the first three shots for chikythe here in the
second half all inside the.

Speaker 3 (57:56):
Lane thirty four to twenty four Casen. That was our
difference at the half.

Speaker 2 (58:02):
Now Wall has it up top, he'll try a three.

Speaker 3 (58:04):
No good redown by Hammon. Cox will walk it up
for the Calves comes across the timeline. Soon was to
play left point to Miller. Miller gives it to stone King.
He'll immediately kick it to the corner and Andrew Hammond
will dial up a triple thirty seven twenty four to locafee.

Speaker 4 (58:25):
Hammon was able to get his foot set. He was
ready for that ball the time he came over the inline.

Speaker 3 (58:31):
Outstanding penetration down the middle. Wall draws the extra defender,
dumps it off the Seamer lays it in cuts the
Calves to lead to eleven. At thirty seven to twenty
six by comes Miller left side Hamming. Hamming will rip
through the right hand. Now kicks it to the right
side to Cox. Cock's off a ball screen from Badger

(58:52):
gets to the middle, kicks it to the left wing.
Three for stone King.

Speaker 2 (58:56):
No good. Braves will look to push it up left side.

Speaker 3 (59:03):
It was Violey that turned down excuse me, spears that
turned down to three two. Left hand ribbles to the
mid range and knocks it down. Logan Elm into the
single digits, cutting to lead the nine.

Speaker 4 (59:12):
Yeah, good, good shot. Fake there, attack the bucket, get
a better shot.

Speaker 3 (59:18):
Him and drives the elbow, pull up, mid range, jumper
up off the rims stayed up on the rim forever.
A nice fall touched Wall comes down and Badger just
simply comes right in and ties him up. Logan Elm
will win possession. But again that that's pretty heads up
play by Badger.

Speaker 4 (59:35):
Yeah again, I know the coaches as I look down
the bench there they head back to back three's. They
made one, missed the second one, and coaches were like,
do not settle.

Speaker 3 (59:45):
Get the flare screen there. That's speech once again. Now
Wall has it on the right side. I'm gonna retreat.
Now looks to go one on one against Miller. Goes
the left pull up. They're gonna give him a three,
but no good anyway. Cox on the rebound, he comes
out in the up and court against it. Nef's there
to cut him off. Goes left corner to Hammon. Now

(01:00:10):
Cox has it in the left corner. Cox through the leg,
gonna attack on the baseline. Shot up and good. He
gets that left hand just so unstoppable. Playing downhill.

Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
Yeah, again, a good job of getting it off the
board real lightly for it to be able to go.

Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
In two man game by nephin Seemer. They drop the
bounce bas Seeman lays it in. Poor rotation from the Calves.
Now calves by nine at thirty nine thirty by comes Cox,
Cox pull up in the short corner.

Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
No good. Braves with the rebound wall, will look to push.
He goes all the way up to the left side.

Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
They hit Biley and Biley lays it in to cut
it to seven thirty nine thirty two, and Coach Beard
doesn't like what he sees here in the early going,
going to take another short time out, so we'll stay here.

Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
You know, Lou talked me through a little bit what
Coach Beard's got to be feeling.

Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
A couple shots don't go on on the one end
you can live with, but certainly can't live with not
spreading back and getting ahead of the basket.

Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
It's the defensive transition there. Two straight times he did
not get back, gave up easy layups, and he does
not want that to happen. He does not want them
to fall into that type of trap. So you call
the time out, make sure you set away everybody down here,
and then also re emphasize the offensive end. Let's continue
to attack the bucket on the offensive end.

Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
Sometimes, when we say transition, for the people listening home,
we're not just talking about fast break points.

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
We're talking about that secondary break If you look.

Speaker 3 (01:01:36):
At the ball screen the time before, you get maybe
two or three calves back, but not all five back,
and therefore your rotations are slopping.

Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
Right, we did not complete the transition from defense or
offensive defense, and you've got to be able to do
a better job of that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
Out of the time alt Chilicothee possession, Miller leaves it
for Badger up top, Hammon, Hammon down low, little curl
move to Cox, Cox at the rim up and goes
all the way in and comes out.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
But there's gonna be a foul.

Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
A nice little set out of a timeout to get
Cox a deep post.

Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
Up opportunity off of Pearl.

Speaker 4 (01:02:12):
Yeah, we've had a couple of shots here. Seems like
they're going in and they're just they come right back
out here. So Chilli Kyedy wants to continue their good shooting.

Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
First free throw for the sophomore lefty Cox is good
forty thirty two. There's four minutes into the third quarter
here Kayden will get a second one shot up that's
also good.

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
So tabs by nine.

Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
Fourteen points Sun the night before Cox.

Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
Nef brings it up in the scrimmage area, leaves it
for Russell. Russell gives a way to see her.

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
Now Wall has it. He's guarded by Miller high ball screen.

Speaker 3 (01:02:54):
Now gives way to Neough. Nef on the left hand dribble,
thought about the mid range is gonna kick it back
the wall. Wall gets into the middle, steps through the
double team shot up, no good. Bager with the rebound
out comes Miller with it. He's gonna push for a second.
A pretty good transition defense from the brave. So now
Chilikafie will set in a half court Camon has it
on the left point, goes right side.

Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
That's Miller. Miller through the legs, cross over. Now out
the Cox.

Speaker 3 (01:03:22):
Cox had Badger on a little back door, missed him there.
Now Stone came off the right hand ribble kicks it
right side Cox. Good patience from the Cavaliers here. Three
minutes to play. Third quarter, calves by nine Miller off
a ball stream from Stone. Team Miller gets downhill, little
runner up off the rim, no good and ft of
logan in with the rebound out comes Wall. Wall pushes

(01:03:45):
it up to the side. That's speech goes the left
hand ribble, cut off by Cox. Now he's going to
cross back over and go again again, cut off by Cox,
and he throws it back out the wall.

Speaker 2 (01:03:55):
Get job by.

Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
Cayden defensively there. Wall throws at the f up top
New off a high ball screen from Seamer. Now goes
left side shot fake from Speech, a little step through
mid rage. Good looking strokes there from the mid range
from the six foot singer Tyler. Speech, Yeah he's got
four of this quarter forty one thirty four times by

(01:04:19):
comes Miller. Penetration dumps it off to Hammon and Hammon
on the drive, gonna get hit on the shot. Layup
does not go, But Andrew Hammond's gonna make a trip
to the free throw lawn. Looks like Carteliggins want to
check in here for the caves.

Speaker 4 (01:04:35):
Yeah, that was a good drive there, by him, and
again the strong duy knew the foul was coming. He
tried to take it hard to the hold and see
if he couldn't get a three point play.

Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
Andrew's first free throw no good.

Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
Now they'll let Carte Liggins check into the game. It's
gonna replace by trim.

Speaker 10 (01:04:54):
Ham.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
It'll get a second free throw to try.

Speaker 3 (01:04:57):
To push this chilicoffee lead back to eight, and he
does forty two thirty four calves two.

Speaker 4 (01:05:03):
Fourteen to go third quarter, six points on the night
for him.

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
And Neth crossed.

Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
The timeline guarded by the ligging now gives way to Wall.
Wall left side speeds elbow entry. The seamer who on
the hand off the Wall, gets it going downhill with
the right hand, nice little floater. Wall makes good on it.
All of a sudden the braves within six forty two
thirty six.

Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
Yeah, that's tough to stop there. When he's able to
get in the lane and elevate.

Speaker 3 (01:05:30):
It, Miller cut off on the drive now comes left
side to Cox. Cox grips due to the left hand,
gets all the way to the rim. Wall pokes it
away from behind. It's the last touch by Wall. It's
going to be Chilikafie basketball underneath.

Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
Its own rim.

Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
See if they can't get a wide open one underneath
the bucket here, then we've got one this half.

Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
Miller looks it, over comes into the corner to stone King.
Stone King lost it for a second, gets back now.
Stone King has it in the left corner of top.
Miller swings it all the way over right side.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
It's Cox Cox uptop. Stone King thought about the three.

Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
Now gets all the way to the rim and again
you know, Low's highlighted it really well tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
The theme as Chilicothee playing aggressive downhill to the rim. Yeah,
and I like that.

Speaker 4 (01:06:20):
I like the fact that they're showing some versatility and
not settling for those threes.

Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
So even though the shot would not fall, it's going
to be another trip to the free throw line for
stone King. First free throw up is good. Bailey returns
to the Logan Elm lineup, replacing Speach.

Speaker 2 (01:06:44):
Stone King's second.

Speaker 3 (01:06:45):
Free throw in and out Wall with the rebound calves
by seven forty three thirty six. When nineteen to go,
Russell had it on the left wing, gives a back
to Wall. Now Russell up type he'll try at three,
and he got it Owen Russell, a sharpshooter five to
nine sophomore. But I've seen it on film and studying
him this week. He can really really stroke it from
the three point line forty three thirty nine logan elm

(01:07:08):
all the way within four stone King right side. It's
Cox Cox retreat dribbles out toward half court. Now comes
left side stone King. Stone King guarded by Wall. Now
right point to Hamming. Hammon penetrates hard to the middle,
gets all the way to the rim and lays it in.

Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
Nice move.

Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
Andrew Hammond really like that forty five thirty nine times.
By six thirty five seconds to go. In the third quarter,
Wall through the legs explodes the middle, gets downhill shot
up no good Hamming with the rebound out comes Miller
with it. Let's see if Chilicothe wants the last shot
of the quarter behind the back Miller again Wall PopEd

(01:07:50):
it away, but right too stone King. It's now fifteen
seconds in counting stone King holding it out by half court.
No count right here, said Chilicothe. Is gonna be able
to take it as deep as they want and go whenever.

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
They see fit.

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Stone King high ballstream from Ligan stop and go move
all the way to the rims shot up on the rim,
No good, fight for the loose ball, hamm and hat
it hoot back, no good And that brings us to
the end of the third quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
A pretty good quarter for Logan album.

Speaker 3 (01:08:16):
As they cut at the chilicothe lead to six at
forty five thirty nine, it should be a good one.
Make sure you stay with us. Shane Coles loop posts

Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
Welcome back to Chillicothe High School, calves in front forty
five thirty nine. As we enter the fourth and final quarter,
will you take a look at the numbers there. It
seems like a couple of the role players Speace in
the mid range, Russell from the three, a couple of
the role players get involved in the shooting.

Speaker 2 (01:09:18):
They're kind of turned the Braves way.

Speaker 4 (01:09:19):
Yeah, and really good shooting there by the Braves. They
were eight of twelve shooting. That's sixty seven percent. Wall
only had two points that quarter. You had four points
from space, four points from is it Seamer and again
nep Biley and Russell all contributing that quarter. So good
solid quarter for Loganhelm.

Speaker 3 (01:09:41):
Chillicothe with possession to start the fourth quarter, trying to
build on a forty five thirty nine lead. It's a
flare screen for him and he'll turn down the three,
gets it all the way to the rim, blocked by
Nef out of bounds, so it's gonna be chilliicoffee basketball.
Pretty good help there from Brady Nef coming up and
challenge and the shot of Hammond obe opportunity for the

(01:10:03):
Calves and down ball side to Hammond. Miller runs right
into a handball. Now he's going to tack on the
baseline one of the baseline kick at the Cocks, but
it was poked away from behind, So the Calves are
going to go obe under it once again.

Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
That's like four or five times that Wall has been
able to tip that ball from behind. Hasn't got a
steal yet.

Speaker 3 (01:10:24):
Nice little curl move from Carte Liggan up around the
elbow area.

Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
Miller hits him in stride. He takes one dribble, lays
it in forty seven thirty nine to a coffee.

Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
Yeah, it's another out under where they're getting the.

Speaker 3 (01:10:35):
Left finally has it up top. Now Wall kind of
a post up right around the elbow area. Now he
steps back to the three point line, goes right corner
Russell for three.

Speaker 10 (01:10:46):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
Good, much better job of Calves on to contests that time.
Hammond with the rebound.

Speaker 4 (01:10:51):
Yeah, much better job. That's what he got to do
here in the fourth quarter. You gotta rebound the basketball.

Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
On the defensive end, Miller high ball screen from Ligan,
gets to the right hand, drops a bounce pass into
stone King down low point.

Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
Blake missed it.

Speaker 3 (01:11:04):
Good job is staying with a Cooper stone King the
second attempt good forty nine thirty nine, Calves by ten.

Speaker 4 (01:11:10):
Yeah, he did not hang his head there. He kept
his head and stayed right with it.

Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
Wall Penetrate kicks it out left side Russell for three,
and they're gonna say stone King got a piece of
the arm. So the three no good. But the sharp
shooting Russell gonna go to the free throw line to
shoot three.

Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
Yeah, that's the second time we put him on the
line from the yond the.

Speaker 3 (01:11:30):
Arc there, well six forty seven to go into game,
Calves by ten, but Russell's gonna get three opportunities to
cut up to seven him.

Speaker 4 (01:11:39):
It looks like we're got some blood on him AND's
jersey and they're gonna have to get taken care of here,
so we're gonna get a sub in for him.

Speaker 3 (01:11:47):
Yeah, he runs right by. You can see the blood
on under the e and Chilicothe there.

Speaker 4 (01:11:52):
Looks like they're gonna have to walls at his walls
arm and looks like that is bleeding. So now he's
going over. Looks like we're gonna get uh, well, we
only have one trainer here tonight, so who gets taken
care of him first? It looks like I think to
hold to you, uh, but I think we're gonna wait.
We gotta wait, so we're gonna get us up that

(01:12:15):
they're gonna make Loganholm sub.

Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
Here or well Hammon, Hammon had already subbed.

Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
Badger had entered the game for ham and so the
Chilikothee players out as far as Wall goes, Wall comes
down to our end, both players down at the trainer.
So so now they're gonna look at Hammond's uniform to
decide if it was properly taken care of. So I

(01:12:43):
guess Hammon, well, let's see here.

Speaker 4 (01:12:46):
Now it looks like Jan Miller has some on his jersey,
So it looks like we we have five and five
on the floor right now. Wall just goes running by us.
He looks like he's ready to go. But they're gonna
shoot these free throws here. First first one missed by Russell.

Speaker 2 (01:13:07):
Okay, so Russell's gonna get two more So as of
now it's.

Speaker 3 (01:13:12):
Nef Patton, Russell, Biley, and Sin though they've got Wall
back to the scores table.

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
But I think they have to let a second go
Krap So Russell second free throw good forty nine forty.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
And a third free throw good two out of three
times by eight forty nine forty one six forty five
in counting the remaining in the night's contest, Stone, King
brings it up left point, tries to give it away
to ham and lost it.

Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
Don't King runs it down.

Speaker 3 (01:13:44):
Now they get Ham it on the back door and
I don't know that that's how you draw it up,
but nonetheless and Andrew Hammond lay.

Speaker 2 (01:13:50):
Up pushes it back to ten.

Speaker 4 (01:13:51):
Well, when you take it strong into the bucket, good
things happen.

Speaker 3 (01:13:54):
Back comes bily, just like that mid range jumper. Good
and got to time out on the floor.

Speaker 4 (01:14:01):
They caught a thirty here. They just wanted to get
Wall back in the game, so they're gonna call a
quick thirty here so he can come back in the game.
But again both teams there took it strong to the
hole and been able to score here. So again, this
Logan Elm team, you know, we haven't seen them in person,
but seen it some scores, and this seems like a

(01:14:22):
typical game for them. They just sort of hang around,
hang around. If you're Chillicothe, you've got to do things right.
So far they have here in the fourth quarter. They
are three of four shooting here in the fourth quarter,
and they've done a pretty good job of defensive rebounding.
But again, Logan Elm, they're one of two shooting and
they've made two free throws. So again got to continue

(01:14:45):
to do the right thing here for you're Chillicothe.

Speaker 3 (01:14:48):
Well, we said in the pre game even at six
and fourteen a differential pretty much. Even so, they played
a lot of close games and certainly hanging around here
this sevening chili cooffee fifty one forty three with the
top for out with possession out of the time out,
I should say Cox has it on the left point.
He goes left wing at stone King, stone King up
top Miller, Miller penetrate kick, stone King will try it three,

(01:15:12):
no good rebound Logan el Wall has it coming up
the left side, guarded by Miller, crosses over ball stream
from seam mid range pull up, no good, good rebound
from stone King. Out come the Cavs. Cox up the
left side, night Hass underneath the legan. Nicely done shot,

(01:15:33):
no good but a foul. Carte Ligan will go to
the free throw line.

Speaker 4 (01:15:40):
Very nice passed by Cox. I didn't think I was
gonna make it.

Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
Through, but it did. Fifty one three cabs by eight
with five forty four to go in the game.

Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
Carte Ligan will have a chance to push to lead
back to double digits first free throw in and out.
The very talented freshman will get a second free throw
is Speace returns the lineup, replacing Bailey for Logan ll.

Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
Carte. Second free throw attempt and now.

Speaker 4 (01:16:13):
On its way.

Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
That one's good. Fifty two to forty three calves by nine.

Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
Wall gives weight toenough. Nef will push it up. He's
guarded by ligging. Now hands it off the wall. Wall
through the lakes right side. Speace with three dials it
up right in front of the loganill bench. Fifty two
forty six calves lead cut back to six cocks into

(01:16:39):
the strimmage area left side stone King. Now Miller has
it on the wing, rips through the right hand ribble
to the middle jump stops kicks a corner. Stone King
turns down to three drives hard get two foot stop
and lays it.

Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
In fifty four to forty six.

Speaker 4 (01:16:54):
Gotta keep getting quality offensive possessions if you're chilling coffee.

Speaker 3 (01:16:59):
Now Wall has it up top again off of Miller.
Good help from badger. Now Wall gets it back comes
up top Nef. Nef to the left hand dribble. Good
help there from Cox his way to space Speace to
try another three. That one's way too strong, Badger with
the rebound. That one was rushed a little bit more.

(01:17:19):
I'll come to Calves with it four forty to play
Calves by eight with the basketball.

Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
Cox has it up top, guarded by Russell, uses the
left hand dribble. Now it's up top. Stone kam back
to Cox on the left side. He uses the right.

Speaker 3 (01:17:38):
Hand dribble to the middle, leaves it for a carte
leggan underneath, and he lays it in. Outstanding job by
Kade Cox.

Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
Yeah, textbook there. That's seven points on the night for Ligan.

Speaker 2 (01:17:49):
Fifty six forty six coves by ten.

Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
Wald going one on one against Miller, and somehow one
Miller did everything perfect.

Speaker 2 (01:17:59):
The Wall just ups through and scoops it up underneath
him and lays it in. Tough shot.

Speaker 4 (01:18:03):
Yeah, Wall's got eighteen, but one's done a good job
when he's guarded him.

Speaker 2 (01:18:08):
Fifty six forty eight tabs in front.

Speaker 3 (01:18:11):
Badger has it up top. We're already down to the
three forty five mark in the game, and Wall takes
it away. Walling of the open court has Biger on
his hip shields with the right hand draws the contact,
lays it in with the left hand.

Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
It's going to be a chance for an old fashioned
three as that cuts at the six. The free throw
could cut at the five.

Speaker 4 (01:18:33):
Yeah, and again it's that quality offensive possessions. You cannot
afford turnovers here in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
So wall now with twenty if I remember what you
said earlier, going to go to the line here, chance
to cut this the five free throw up no good,
So the Caives do dodge a bullet there. The lead
remains six at fifty six fifty three point thirty eighth
to go in the game. Stone King across the now
logan down with a little run and jump. Good job

(01:19:04):
by Stone team to get at the Miller left side
is clear. Miller just goes all the way to the
who changes over to the left hand and lays it in.
Nice job, Jan Miller makes you fifty eight to fifty
time out on the floor. Will step away with them
Chilicoffee by a stay with us. You're listen to Chilicothee
Boys Basketball on fourteen ninety WBX.

Speaker 5 (01:19:23):
Since the day I stopped drinking, my life has gotten
better and better. I can't take any credit for it.
It just seems that without alcohol, I think better. I'm
more careful with money. I watch what I say. I
don't get into trouble like I did when I was drinking.
It's scary trying to walk through life alone. Today I
have that very distinct feeling that I don't ever have
to be alone again. Alcoholics anonymous it works.

Speaker 7 (01:19:42):
Look us up for local information about alcoholics. Anonymous called
seven four zero seven seven four two six four six.

Speaker 2 (01:19:51):
Welcome back to Chilicopty High School. It's been a good one.

Speaker 3 (01:19:54):
The Calves currently lead it by eight fifty eight to fifty.
And you know, Lou, you look up there with three
twenty t to go, you see a fifty eight to
fifty score, you think the tempo's probably favorite Chilikafi a
little bit more. They come in scoring right around fifty four,
giving up about fifty one, where Logan ELM's used to
playing some lower scoring games, scoring forty nine, giving up
around fifty. So again I think early on the tempo favorite,

(01:20:16):
the Kives the second half maybe a little bit more
Logan Elven.

Speaker 2 (01:20:20):
I think it explains how they've been able to get
back into it a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:20:22):
Yeah, they sure have, but that was a really nice
answer there by, Chilicothe Wall gets a steal, makes the shot,
misses a free throw. Chillicote comes right back down, has
a quality offensive possession, and Miller gets a layup out
of it. That's his first two points of the night.
He's played real hard defensively, but his first two offensive points.

Speaker 3 (01:20:42):
Little set play out of the high mouth. They get
a reversal and then go back door. Knaf drops a
nice bounce pass to the cutting speace. He misses the shot,
but he's hit on the arm, so he's gonna go
to the free throw line. Good execution from the Braves,
gonna get free throw opportunities.

Speaker 4 (01:20:57):
Yeah, they've done a really good job of having play.
He's called from the bench, either from a timeout, halftime, whatever,
in executing them when they came out.

Speaker 3 (01:21:07):
First free throw for the senior guard good, fifty eight
point fifty one second free throw, no good. Cock's up
high for the rebound. So the Calves lead will remain
at seven. Calves will have the basketball. As we come
up on the three minute mark to play in the game,
Miller walks it across the timeline. Now comes left side
Stone King Stone King hard drive to the right hand

(01:21:29):
turns the corner. No good Badger up, But I think
they're gonna say went over Nept's back to get there,
and it's going to be an offensive rebounding foul on
Cam Badger.

Speaker 4 (01:21:39):
Yeah, that's a tough call. There no foul shots yet.
That's the fourth on Chillicothe. But still I think at
this stage of the game, I'm not sure if that's
a foul or just a play on because no one
had possession of the pall yet.

Speaker 3 (01:21:53):
Well, as Lew said, the fourth fouls. From this point on,
everything will be two shots for Logan Elm, which it
hard to guard a guy like Wall. Wall has it
off the handoff and right hand dribble. Good help from Hamm.
And now they kick it back and they don't recover
at all, and Biley just goes down the middle and
lays it in fifty eight to fifty three calves Lee

(01:22:14):
cut the five.

Speaker 4 (01:22:15):
Yeah, miscommunication on the defensive end here. Now you've got
to recover here offensively, get a good quality possession that comes.

Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
Miller goes right side Cox, Cox guarded closely by Nef.

Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
Now Hammon has it on the left side.

Speaker 3 (01:22:31):
Hammond uses the right hand to dribble to get it
all the way over to Jan Miller just in front
of the Chilicothee students. Miller tried to penetrate Russell, got
a little bit of a hand check on him there
and is gonna get called for the foul. Owen Russell,
that's his third, says on the board. Their team's second
here in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 4 (01:22:51):
Yeah, they got fouls to give here, so they can
be a little bit more aggressive. As we get under
the two mini.

Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
Mark Chilicothee throws it all the way to buy a
court to Badger.

Speaker 3 (01:23:00):
Cox will sprint back to the handoff. Now Cox will
break the Kaun across the timeline. Two minutes to play
Chili Coffee by five. With the ball, Cox, you give
way to Badger back to Cox. Currently the Kaunt is
on to five second gold. Cox gotta be careful. He
tries to throw at the Jan Miller and it's poked

(01:23:20):
away into the back court. A fight for the loose ball,
and von Miller is gonna get called on the loose
ball foul. They said he kind of pushed off to
keep Spiece from getting to the ball, and that's gonna
be free throws here on the loose ball foul.

Speaker 4 (01:23:34):
Oh okay, so they're gonna say no foul shots because
it was an offensive. It was still chilling Coffee's possession,
so it's an offensive foul. So it's going to be
a side out here for Logano, but still a foul
on one Miller.

Speaker 2 (01:23:48):
And still a turnover.

Speaker 3 (01:23:49):
So fifty eight fifty three cas By five. Loganhell with
the basketball h Spiece, has it.

Speaker 2 (01:23:56):
Up top, gives way to Wall.

Speaker 3 (01:23:58):
Wall rips through the left hand ribble, get downhill and
just plays White through one lle.

Speaker 2 (01:24:02):
They called the offensivew We.

Speaker 4 (01:24:03):
Have two different calls here, and I think the guy
underneath is over going to overrule the guy out in top.
It's going to be an offensive foul.

Speaker 3 (01:24:11):
Great job by one Miller, he beat him to the spot,
and obviously Wall's just a really impressive looking young man
just runs through him. Van Miller takes the contact, gets
the call one thirty to go. Cows by five with
the ball, they got Cox in the backward, they're gonna
have to go on the ten count.

Speaker 2 (01:24:27):
They throw it over the top.

Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
Loganhelm lost cam badger in the back and he lays
it in a nice look from Cox. Two points for
Bader sixty to fifty three cosway seven.

Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
Back comes Wall Wall. He'll pull up top to key three.

Speaker 3 (01:24:41):
No good, good box out from stone King, gets the
defensive rebound, throws.

Speaker 2 (01:24:46):
It out to Cox.

Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
Cox has two on one if he wants it, decides
to pull back out, throws it to him and back
out the miller. Good decision there for the Cavs. Up seven.
We've under a minute to go. Stone King hit by
two guys. That's only going to be the Logan Elm
fourth foul. So see if Chilicope can execute down the
stretch here. They've been in so many of these games themselves.

(01:25:09):
They lead by seven with the basketball they throwed all
the way to back court to Cox. Cox has about
eight nine seconds to play with back there. Now he's
filed by Wall. So if fifty one point five on
the clock, Cox will go to the line trying to
add to a seven point advantage.

Speaker 4 (01:25:27):
Yep, you gotta make your free throws here.

Speaker 3 (01:25:31):
Coach Beard gonna go to the bench. Carte Liggan will
come in after the first free throw here Cox first
free throw is good. Looks like Ligan will replace Badger.
So sixty one fifty three. Cox will try to push
the lead to nine with one more free throw shot up. Good,

(01:25:56):
big night for Cox.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
Sixty two to fifty.

Speaker 3 (01:25:59):
Three Chilicopy front wall pushes it across half court and
they'll take the time out here. Tell you what, let's
stay here and reset it for everybody. Sixty two fifty
three chilicothee in front. Both teams have reached the five files.
So everything from this point on going.

Speaker 2 (01:26:16):
To be the two shots.

Speaker 3 (01:26:18):
The big thing that I'm thinking here is out of
the time out Loganhill has been really really good to
night execution wise.

Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
If you're Chillicothe, you've got to be ready to defend
the set here. You don't want to give an easy
one without at least running a little bit of clock.

Speaker 4 (01:26:30):
Right, and you want to make them work for it.
You want to make sure they work for either a
two or a three.

Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
Here.

Speaker 4 (01:26:36):
I'm sure they're down what's our score here again? Down nine,
so probably don't have to shoot a three here. Maybe
attack the busket if your wall. If you're Chillicothe, you
just don't want to put them on the line. You
don't want to stop the clock and give them an
opportunity to score, and make sure you get every defensive
rebound and They're going to come at you hard trying

(01:26:57):
to get the turnovers. So you got to make sure
you're strung with the ball and make your foul shots.

Speaker 3 (01:27:02):
Got big back. You know throughout the year we talked
in the pregame. You know, you think of the Warring game,
you think of the Central Crossing Game. There's been a
lot of time and score situations. You mentioned the back
to back two point losses to Jackson and Miami Tras.

Speaker 2 (01:27:15):
That's how that's how close this CHILLICOFEE team is to
competing in for an FAC title.

Speaker 4 (01:27:20):
Yeah, overall, they played a really good game tonight they
be in Philip COOFEE. It'll be a shame if they
don't finish it off out of a time out.

Speaker 2 (01:27:27):
It is a set play. Now if on a baseline
kick they box screened, they kick at.

Speaker 3 (01:27:31):
The Tyler speace just as I was concerned of the three,
ball goes down and they cut at the six and
immediately file Cox and send him back.

Speaker 2 (01:27:39):
To the line.

Speaker 3 (01:27:39):
So a thirty eight point seven seconds Chili coffee currently
two possession.

Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
Boy, would it be big if Cox and could at
least get one of these to go.

Speaker 4 (01:27:48):
Yeah, you got at least get one here, and I
tell you what is looking home team. They've done a
great job of setting up plays coming out of these timeouts.
They just don't have enough timeouts in games.

Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
Cox back to the free throw line. Free throw good.
So he's now May three in a row down the
stretch here.

Speaker 4 (01:28:05):
That's seventeen on a night for him.

Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
Boy, is the game easier on? Coach is when you
just make for free.

Speaker 6 (01:28:10):
Throws downa stretch?

Speaker 4 (01:28:11):
It sure does. It makes them happy too. As a coach,
you're much happier when that ball goes through the net.

Speaker 3 (01:28:16):
Second free throw good sixty four fifty six. This time
we will take a time out with Coach Beard. You're
listening to Chilicothee Boys basketball in fourteen ninety WBX.

Speaker 16 (01:28:28):

Speaker 3 (01:29:01):
Welcome back to Chilicothe High School. Shane Combs Lou posted,
it's been a really, really good one. It's been a
nice night for the Cavs. They currently lead at sixty
four fifty six slogan elm team extremely skilled, very talented,
the six and fourteen record, very deceiving, been in a
lot of close games. They find himself in another close

(01:29:22):
game here.

Speaker 4 (01:29:23):
I don't know if you're a coach Beard if you
call that time out because his team is so good
of running plays out of timeout.

Speaker 3 (01:29:30):
So Nef pushes it up into the scrimmage area, right corner.
It's Russell and just like that, Owen Russell dials up
another three, sixty four fifty nine.

Speaker 2 (01:29:39):
Not done yet.

Speaker 3 (01:29:40):
The Brave simply won't go away another time out? Will
we'll stay here this time?

Speaker 6 (01:29:45):
So was that to hit that?

Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
That was Russell?

Speaker 3 (01:29:47):
Okay, So basically Chilicothe was trying to pick up in
the full court, give a little token pressure.

Speaker 2 (01:29:53):
Nef got loose.

Speaker 3 (01:29:54):
Nef pushed it across the timeline, ticked it down in
the corner to Russell, and it looks like Kay Stevenson,
a senior, is gonna make his first And I'd say
this has a lot to do with the file situation
where they don't want certain starters to get.

Speaker 2 (01:30:07):
In foul trouble because they're going to stop the clock.

Speaker 4 (01:30:11):
Yeah, they got it down to five points here. They
had it to six at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Now they've got it down to five again. I told
you Coach Beard should have called that time out. I'm
gonna have to bring that up to him.

Speaker 3 (01:30:23):
Thirty point nine on the clock. So first things first,
you got to execute the press breaker.

Speaker 2 (01:30:28):
Get it in.

Speaker 3 (01:30:30):
If I'm looking down the table here, tell me if
I'm wrong. Here, Lou your closure. It looks like the
era going the Braves direction.

Speaker 4 (01:30:35):
It sure is.

Speaker 3 (01:30:36):
So you gotta be strong with the basketball. You can't
let them tie you up or you're gonna turn it
back over to Logan.

Speaker 4 (01:30:43):
L And I've got both teams with one time out left,
I believe.

Speaker 3 (01:30:49):
So coming out of the time out, we mentioned senior
Chase Stevenson into the lineup for Logan.

Speaker 2 (01:30:55):
Elm scrappy defender who can also give some fowls if needed.

Speaker 4 (01:30:59):
Number four is also in the game, Drin Patten five
to ten junior.

Speaker 2 (01:31:03):
He played just a few minutes in the second quarter.
Cox sprinting to the.

Speaker 3 (01:31:09):
Ball up the sideline and gets I really like the
set just to use his athleticism spread the quarter a
little bit. And you know he's made good on his
what last four free throw attempts?

Speaker 4 (01:31:18):
Well, I hesitate to say this, but he is six
for six.

Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
To so sixty four fifty nine. Obviously he's got to
have both of them to stretch it back to a.

Speaker 3 (01:31:29):
Three possession game. First free throw is up, that's good,
sixty five fifty nine. And you know, really we say
two possessions, but if you do a good job or
run them off the free point line, the defense can
make it a free possession game.

Speaker 4 (01:31:49):
The game. Give all the credit here, logan. Him has
really stayed in this game. They've battled, and uh, you know,
I really think Tilla Cotty has played a good game.

Speaker 3 (01:31:58):
Second free throw for Cox all so good. That's a
big one, sixty six fifty nine. Back to seven. Wall
will look to push it up for the Braids, turn
and pitch it the net.

Speaker 2 (01:32:07):
Now back to Wall.

Speaker 3 (01:32:08):
Wall to the right hand ribble, tries to get all
the way to the rim, and they're gonna call stone
King on the fire. At least he did get enough
to where he couldn't get the shot up on the rim.
So at twenty point two, little offense defense here for
the Braves. They're gonna get some guys back in defensively.

Speaker 4 (01:32:26):
And again together one. The other good thing here till
Kathy was it took time for that to happen too.
That was not a quick possession for Loganelm. Time came
off the clock.

Speaker 2 (01:32:36):
Wall's first free.

Speaker 3 (01:32:37):
Throw good, so sixty six sixty still probably enough time
for Wall to good and make it and just pick
up in the full court here. But if he does
miss it, boys, it's a big reband. Wall second free
throw also good, tavs by five. Loganel picks up in
the full court. They get it into Miller, back to

(01:32:59):
ham Hamm and the Cox kaves point a little keep away.
Cox is gonna get fired again. They're able to race
about four seconds there by moving to basketball a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:33:08):
So Cox has.

Speaker 3 (01:33:10):
Been excellent from the free throw line tonight. We'll see
if that continues. Here Calves by five with sixteen point.

Speaker 2 (01:33:17):
Two on the clock.

Speaker 4 (01:33:20):
Again, you just want to make them take time off
the clocket, bringing it up the floor and trying to
get buckets here.

Speaker 3 (01:33:28):
So Kayden Cox at the free throw line, first free
throw up. That one's no good.

Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
So car tay.

Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
Liggan into the lineup offense defense for the Calves. Russell
in space, back in for Logan out. So they got
their three point shooters all around the wall here. Expect
wall to play downhill, get it to the rim or
kick for the three. Cox second free throw that one
rims in. Sixty seven to sixty one, Calves by six,

(01:33:54):
back to new now hands it off the wall, wall
between the legs right hand rebels shot fake three, no
good rebound. Russell shot up no good cos with the rebound,
and that's gonna no file. They're going to let the
clock expire and the tilicoffs. Havaliers are gonna come away
with a sixty seven sixty one win and finally climb

(01:34:18):
themselves back to that five hundred mark.

Welcome back to Chilicoffe High School.

Speaker 3 (01:37:38):
Shane, Colmbs and Loup hosted just a winning night for
the Chilicoffe Cavaliers. Is They even their overall record at
ten and ten with a sixty seven sixty one win
over Logan Elm Logan Elm Balls to six and fifteen
I believe this is unofficial. I don't have this in
front of me, but I believe it's the eighth time
this year they've lost the game by seven or less

(01:37:59):
points as they come in with a point differential that's
pretty much even even though they're now nine games under
five hundreds. That's just an unbelievable stat Those chilicothe jumped
out in the first quarter with a fifteen to seven
point advantage. They pushed that the double figures, and eventually,
after outscoring Loganell seventeen fifteen in the second quarter, they

(01:38:21):
led thirty two twenty two at halftime. Logan Elm cut
back into that in the third quarter. The Braves win
the third quarter seventeen thirteen to cut Chilicothi's lead to
forty five thirty nine. And then the Cavaliers outstanding job
down the stretch at the free throw line. They went
at sixty seven sixty one along with those free throws,

(01:38:42):
the big ones down the stretch there. What else did
the numbers tell you their.

Speaker 4 (01:38:46):
Loud Yeah, Chilicanzi twenty four forty five, shooting fifty three percent,
very good again, two of five from beyond the arc.
That's what I love to see that for Chilicony, and
again another one that stands out, seventeen twenty two from
the free throw line. That's pretty good. You're gonna win
a lot of games when you were able to do that.
They only had five turnovers on the night. Again, handled

(01:39:07):
the ball very well offensively attacking the bucket Logan Elm
twenty three of forty four shooting. Again, pretty good shooting
effort by them, fifty two six of eighteen from beyond
New York, and they were nine of thirteen for the
free throw line. So again you see that Logan Elm
team and wow, they can they can play, and you
can see how they can cause some fits. And I

(01:39:29):
know on down the right line, we've got Unioto facing
them in the first round of the tournament. You know,
Uniota is a team that can really defend the ball
well too, but you know, this Logan Elm team can
really execute and they can cause some problems for teams.
So that'll be an interesting matchup come next week.

Speaker 3 (01:39:47):
Certainly a dangerous fourteen seed and one that I'm sure
we'll have Uniota's attention. But as far as Chilicathy, they
even the record back of ten and ten and you
know as you look at some of the individual scoring
while we wait on coach Beard here. To me, the
big thing that was jumping out of me was the
ability to find a balance between how much of the
kitchen sink you're throwing at Wall while still containing some

(01:40:09):
of the role players for the most part, this evening
that the role players got loose there in the second
half a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:40:16):
For the most part, pretty good job defensively for the Cats.

Speaker 4 (01:40:18):
I thought. So, you know, you look at in individual
scoring for Logan Elm Wall had twenty one. You had
eleven from Spees, eight from Biley, eight also from Russell,
seven from Nef and six from Seemur, So again pretty
balanced scoring. But I you know, really, for the most part,
I thought Chili Cony did a great job in defending them.

(01:40:41):
Didn't get a lot of open shots other than when
they called timeout or coming out of a timeout. They
were tremendous on those things.

Speaker 2 (01:40:49):
But overall I.

Speaker 4 (01:40:49):
Thought they did a good job. Didn't give up a
lot of second chance opportunities. So defensive effort, and you know,
I give Chilli Cony at least a B B plus
you look at the offensive effort, give just for that
offensive execution of attacking the bucket all night long and
not settling for threes at all. And I'm sure when
we talked to Coach Beard he's going to talk about that.

(01:41:10):
That's probably a huge emphasis they had coming into this game.

Speaker 3 (01:41:14):
Well, it wasn't just one Cavalier doing it. You can
tell as a mindset throughout what you say, twenty two
free throw attempts on the evening, and you know this
is a team that can shoot.

Speaker 2 (01:41:23):
The three, sometimes can fall in love with the three.

Speaker 3 (01:41:25):
But when you get that nice balance and you start
playing inside out, that's when this team's really dangerous. And
I see a lot of different kids in your scoring
column there for chilicoffee as well.

Speaker 4 (01:41:35):
Coach Beard's gonna love that individual scoring. Kayden Cox twenty
one points on the night, Cooper stone King had eighteen,
ten points for Andrew Hammond, eight points for Cam Badger,
seven points for Carte Liggan, two points for Jan Miller,
but Wan did a wonderful job defensively and Noah Nettter
contributed one point when he was in the game. So

(01:41:57):
nice balance scoring for the Cabs to make.

Speaker 3 (01:42:00):
Chilicothe Head coach Pat Beer joined us after the winning
Coach I know here in just second, Lou's gonna have
an offensive question for you in the mindset, so I'll
start on the defensive side. I was intrigued from a
coaching standpoint, this is a really tough scout because you've
got a special, special player on the other side, but
he's surrounded by a bunch of kids that can really
really shoot it.

Speaker 2 (01:42:20):
And I think sometimes coaches and teams can get caught.

Speaker 3 (01:42:23):
In the middle, like, man, are we gonna throw everything
at him and he's gonna still get his and then
they're gonna.

Speaker 2 (01:42:27):
Make some threes. That happened to you.

Speaker 3 (01:42:29):
Maybe a little bit in the second half, but overall
the entire night, I felt like you made him work
for his while still staying home.

Speaker 2 (01:42:36):
Evaluate your defense tonight.

Speaker 6 (01:42:38):
Yeah, I thought we did a really good job of
understanding the game plan.

Speaker 22 (01:42:41):
You know, Lance thought I was crazy when I told
I was gonna put one on wall, and he asked
me the reason why I wouldn't put one on or
you know, one on wall.

Speaker 6 (01:42:49):
I said, well, listen, wall brings a wall up a lot.

Speaker 22 (01:42:52):
If one could apply that pressure, then maybe second half
his legs start to go and we don't have to
help off as much because, as you alluded to, they've
got guys around it that can shoot the three ball.
So basically, we told one one, you're by yourself making
shoot contested shots. We're gonna take everything else away. And
I thought in the first half we did a really
really good job of making sure that he shot tough,
contested shots, and that's wa Wall can make those shots.

Speaker 6 (01:43:13):
He's a really, really nice basketball player. But they're in
the third quarter.

Speaker 22 (01:43:17):
Early in the third quarter, for about a three minute stretch,
we kind of lost our minds for a minute, really
trying to get back to what got us the lead
to begin with. I had to call that early time
out to remind our guys, hey, listen, this game isn't over.
We got to get back to our game plan the
way we went and play defense, and we were able
to do that.

Speaker 4 (01:43:34):
First of all, being a head coach, you are crazy.
We're all crazy we're out there doing that. But offensively tonight, coach,
I know there had to be a change in the
mindset there. You guys attacked the bucket time after time.
You didn't settle for the three, and I like to
see that out of your players.

Speaker 22 (01:43:50):
Yes, we've been preaching that you know, stop settling for threes.
Let's get to the basket. Let's get easy buckets. Then
once we get in there inside and we kick it
out and at your feet said okay, then shoot your three.
But we did we really attack the basket well tonight.
I felt like every time we kinda we ripped it,
we were able to get a step on guys, find
guys down low.

Speaker 6 (01:44:10):
Or maybe just finished with a little mid range jump shot.

Speaker 4 (01:44:12):
And again, the last game I had you, you knew, albody,
you didn't shoot any free throws. You shoot twenty two
of them tonight because of that, and you make seventeen
out of twenty two. That helps you out as well.

Speaker 6 (01:44:22):
Oh yeah, that helps us out.

Speaker 22 (01:44:24):
Also, you know, early in the season we had trouble
closing out games at the free throw line. So now
our guys are learning how to close games out of
the free throw line. So that's going to help us
as we progress forward and get ready for the tournament time.
When these guys step in the line, they're gonna have
the confidence to step up and knock them down.

Speaker 4 (01:44:41):
The other thing I thought was interesting, you're out unders.
You did a great job tonight on out unders. You
got a lot of points on those.

Speaker 22 (01:44:47):
That's what we wanted. I mean, listen, let's get it
and go and then see what happens. And you know,
our staple really is really good hard ball pressure. Defensively,
we want to get rebound it and get it out
as quick as we can. We're not the greatest half
court offensive team.

Speaker 6 (01:45:02):
I'm the coach. I understand that we're working on that.

Speaker 22 (01:45:05):
But whenever we get the opportunity to get out and
go quick and get easy buckets, that gets our guys
fired up. They get more engaged and things become a
little bit easier to have quot set.

Speaker 4 (01:45:14):
Yeah, and you look at a team like Logan hell Man,
they did a great job of every time there was
a time out, they came out. If they had the ball,
they executed some play and got some great shot. That's
where I was telling you not to call time out,
play the game. But again, they're a tough team to
play against. But I thought your kids, for the most part,
kept their minds the entire game and finished the game. Yeah.

Speaker 22 (01:45:35):
They set a lot of flair screens, a lot of
ball screens, a lot of screens away from the basketball,
so you're constantly, constantly moving and for the most part,
like you said, I thought we did a really good
job of sitting down and guarding that.

Speaker 6 (01:45:47):
Tonight, they've made some tough shots there late.

Speaker 3 (01:45:49):
Coach, not just making the free throws, but the ability
just to get the ball in bounds, get it to
the proper guy, get it to the hot hand there,
which tonight happened to be Cocks. You know, there's been
so many times where you may come up with a
with a rebound, but then like I think back to
the Miami Trace game and some of it was it
was a you know, a tie up in the possession
or doesn't favor you and they get another possession. Right tonight,

(01:46:11):
you you wrapped up possessions. Tonight you executed getting the
ball in I love the play where you brought Cox
his athleticism up the sideline. You know, I just I
feel like there's a lot of growth there in your
team and the ability to close out a game like them.

Speaker 22 (01:46:24):
Yeah, we're we're starting to see him grow, starting to
see them mature, starting to kind of see them or
have them understand game situations and where we want to
get the basketball. You know, Cox already been the line
four or five times and made all of them. Why
I go away from the Well, let's get the basketball
in his hand. He's feeling comfortable at the free throw line.

Speaker 6 (01:46:42):
And earlier in this season guys wouldn't have a body
into that that had been.

Speaker 22 (01:46:46):
Like it's my turn to shoot pres right right tonight,
classic example, we threw the ball in the one one,
reversed it to Andrew, and Andrew threw it really quick.
He didn't he knew that he was the hothand I'm
gonna give him the basketball and let him finish his
game out.

Speaker 6 (01:47:00):
So, like you said, signs of maturity.

Speaker 3 (01:47:02):
Well, the last one I have boid and the last glue.
There the a lot to play for this weekend. Yeah,
I was looking at the FAC standings. Two wins this
weekend ties you for second place. You've already got out
right third, two and eight a year ago in FAC.
It's a giant step forward. And then beyond that you.

Speaker 2 (01:47:18):
Go into the tournament. You get the home game.

Speaker 3 (01:47:20):
Very very scary team on that bracket. I could speak
for every team on the bracket that Chilicopi is a dangerous,
dangerous postseason opponent. Talk to me about this weekend and
then the postseason peak ahead.

Speaker 6 (01:47:29):
Well, we know we got a big weekend ahead of us.

Speaker 22 (01:47:32):
We know going into the Jackson game, it's very very
important for us if we can get in there and
play well against Jackson, to somehow find a way to
beat Jackson. We know Saturday is very very important for us.
But as a coach, you know, we played Friday Saturday
that we had to come back on Tuesday and play
our home opener and Attorney. So you know, I've been
kind of thinking about what's the game plan?

Speaker 6 (01:47:54):
What do I want to do.

Speaker 22 (01:47:55):
I mean, we go if we're able to go and
beat Jackson, great, but we have you know McLain on Saturday,
and you don't take McLain very likely. McLain's a good
basketball team, especially over there. You know, what do you
do as a coach? You know, a coaching staff will
get together and we'll discuss that we definitely need fresh
legs going into Tuesday. I envision probably several of our

(01:48:18):
younger guys getting more minutes on Saturday just so we
keep our legs fresh. But well, we'll talk about as
a staff and as a team and pick out a
play and go forth with that.

Speaker 2 (01:48:30):
Coaching.

Speaker 4 (01:48:30):
Yeah, when tonight really helps all that it does. It
gets those kids to really buy into that all that stuff,
and you know you have an opportunity to have either
a five hundred or plus five hundred season, So that's
a lot to play for these guys.

Speaker 22 (01:48:42):
That was one of the things I put on board today.
My senior class has been with me since I started.
We've never been five hundred this late in the season.
We're ten and ten, so those guys are feeling really
good about themselves. They haven't won much as a group.
They're starting to taste with victory. Really tip feels like
can taste like. So hopefully we can build on this
and just keep this thing rolling.

Speaker 10 (01:49:03):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:49:03):
Coach, congratulations, they have a safe trip tonight through the
weather and we'll see over Jackson Friday nights.

Speaker 6 (01:49:09):
That's good, Thank you guys, best luck.

Speaker 3 (01:49:11):
Thank you again, chilicothe head coach Pat Beard as he
says his Cavaliers climbed to five hundred to ten and ten,
and they'll enter this weekend's play at five and three.
Already in fac play with the road trips to Jackson
and to McLean. Lou will give you a final word
as we look ahead to this weekend and down the
stretch Chili coffee has been really fun to follow. Again,

(01:49:32):
I use the word dangerous. I like where they're at.

Speaker 2 (01:49:34):
I do too.

Speaker 4 (01:49:35):
And again they're climbing no stairs, and tonight was a
big step for them. They're not over there, all right,
They're not where they need to be, but they're getting there.
And I thought tonight was a really good step for them.

Speaker 3 (01:49:46):
Hey, well, thank you Nathan back for all the efforts
in studio. Lou will always enjoy talking basketball with you.
This Shane Combs final score for the final time You're
Chillicothee Cavaliers are winners tonight sixty seven sixty one.
