man, he's unfit for office rightnow? And then I think that he

announced, a lot of my friends, you know, in the know,
were saying this was a way forthe Democrats to get rid of Joe Biden,

Joe Biden has always stepped up Stateof Union and other events, and he's

done much better than we expected.I mean, we thought the State of
Union he was going to fall flat, you know, the previous State of
Union the same, but he wasable to step up, and so I
said, well, we'll see youknow, but the performance last night I
think was so poor and the wayhe communicated in his failure to complete thoughts.

on fire, full panic, andI would be highly doubtful that we would
see a President Joe Biden at theconvention. What I believe is going to
happen at this point, and Iwould say, if I had a bet,
i'd say eighty percent that he willannounce sometime after Trump makes his VP
pick, so that they know he'slocked into the VP, after Republican Convention,

maybe during the republic Invention, whichis from two weeks from now.
Yes, that he's going to stepaside and allow a forefight, and he
will not pick a successor because hecan't pick Kamala because the Democratic Party is
not going to rally around Kamala.And he can't pick you know, name

Trump if he picks the wrong VP, if he picks someone that doesn't have
a crossover appeal, uh, tothe to the independence, it's it's going
to be a tough road for him. If the Democrats pick someone that that
does have crossover appeal at the topand second tier on the ticket. Well,
you're thinking a two to three checkermoves ahead. Well, I mean
I think that's you know, that'sI was thinking about whats right right?

Well, you know, I've I'vetalked to a lot of candidates about speeches,
right, and I've I've helped peopledevelop in debates and and last night
I thought Trump, this was theperfect format for President Trump. My only
criticism, my biggest criticism President Trump. If I was in his camp and
I had an opportunity to tell him, I would have said, look it,
answer the softball question they throw atyou, spend fifteen twenty thirty seconds

on it, and then go backand hammer Joe Biden about the crazy statements
he's made. And I really enjoyedlast night how the moderators said, President
Biden, you have seventy eight secondsleft or President Trump. You didn't answer
the question. The question was blahblah blah. I thought that allowed for
you know, President Trump to actuallyanswer, come back and answer those questions

at the end of his diet tribeon whatever else he was talking about.
And I think that was helpful becauseJoe Biden when he was you know,
I said, seventy eight seconds,mister President, you can continue. You
know, he brought up his golfscore or whatever. I mean. I
think, by the way, I'vecalled his golf coach and I'm going to
start taking lessons if anybody wants tojoin me, so that I can go
from a twenty to a six inless than a week. But side note

there. But you know, Ithink I think the questions were good.
I thought the the the answers thatit was, it was fair. I
like the mic issue. I thoughtit really helped President Trump. And by
Trump forcing Biden to speak for twominutes, I think he did the country
a favor. So the mic issuecame back to hurt the Biden campaign who
demanded it because it did calm Trumpdown. And and I was also talking

about how Trump feeds off the bigrally crowds in the audience and the laughter.
He's from TV, he's an entertainer, and not having the audience in
there, I think kind of temperedhim down somewhat. Well, yeah,
I think yeah, because he wasn'tgetting the feedback. You heard him prior
to the debate talking about, youknow, I'm not going to get the
feedback and see what's going on.But I think that debate helped him in

that sense. And you know thebest thing Trump did is when Biden,
you know, tailed off and losthis train of thought and moved from subject
A to subject Z midstream. Hisfacial expression said it all. And I
think that's again, is what hurtPresident Biden. The Democrats again have to
be scared to death. But Idon't think the Republican should be jumping up

and down for joy, because,you know, you kick a New Canada
at convention, you inter it,you know, energize the Democratic base because
they're not energized right now. Andand Trump picks someone that's a little too
far right that the the megabase likes, but the independence and moderates don't care

be a socially crossover appeal in casethere's a slick Democrat ticket that comes along.
Here, I'm picking up throwing downhere, right, Is that what
you're saying? Well, I'm sayingit's got to be someone that that it
has some chops, that that hasexperience, that has charisma, and it

is younger. You know, ifsomebody, somebody, I think that that
brings more to the table than youknow, I think Tim Scott and govern
Bergram or whatever. I'm not abig fan because I don't think they bring
a lot to the table. Idon't think they bring you know, any
crossover votes, any any new ideas. I think there's other candidates. I

don't think it'll be Nicky Haley.I think she would bring over some of
that injury. But I don't seethat. But you know, I've heard
Ben Carson could be as high onthe list. I think he would be
better than Tim Scott, and hedid a good job when he was you
know, under secretary. But again, I don't think he has enough excitement.
I don't know. I don't knowwho that second person is. I

not a wild card maybe that youhadn't even thought of. Oh yeah,

I'm fifty percent plus. It's someonethat is not on top of mind right

good one. So again, hisstrategists need to be thinking about what happens

I mean Biden, they fact checkedBiden said he's not true, that's not
true, that's not true. Andthey had a good debate. I mean,
I've moderated probably thirty or forty politicaldebates, and what I've always said
when I moderated is the tougher thequestions, the better to debate. And
I thought the questions were tough,they were measured, and they were fair.
I mean, you have to askabout abortion, you have to ask

about uh, you know, COVID, you have to ask about economy,
you have to ask about environment.They asked all the questions, and it
wasn't mister Trump, how often didyou beat your wife? You know,
there wasn't all the questions about youknow, it wasn't. It didn't go
overly anti Trump. They were theywere They did a good I'm going to
say it was the first presidential debatethat ever mentioned porn stars. Though,

well, you know, you gottaalways have porn stars are good for ratings.
You got to remember that all aboutthe ratings Hey, and you know
what talking about you said, You'vemoderated debates quite a few. And Jake
mouth flapper and Miss Dana last nightwith the Mike mute girl, they didn't
have to play den mother. Theygot to be quiet and we got to
hear them Trump talk and Biden stumblesmore so. Well, And I think

when I've been in debates where i'veI've cut it off early and you know,
been the teacher in the room.You have better dialogue when you stay
focused than people talking over each other, because then you can hear. And
that was the advantage that Trump hadlast night is he wasn't talking over Biden
as he was mumbling. Biden wasmumbling all on his own. And I

think that really is what people saw. Yeah, yeah, because if it
hadn't been Mike mute, he wouldhave possibly been talking over his mumbling.

is when Biden came on the stage, I said to my wife, I
said, wow, he is reallywhite. His coloring looked terrible, and

of the talking heads in the liberalssay it was the worst seven minutes in
