Speaker 1 (00:48):
Hey guys, Hello and happy Monday. It is the last
day of March, so I don't know if that's freaking
any of you guys out, but like, seriously, where did
you February and March go? Anyway, that's enough about me.
I hope you had a great weekend. I had a
fabulous weekend. I drove up to Houston to see the

(01:09):
bestiet and play some poker and guess what, guys, I
won two dollars. Started with ten, came home with twelve,
so that is a success and no hangover. Now. I
want to say for those of you in the Midwest
who had storms last night and some of you who
are in the South that are having them today, I
hope that you and your families are safe. Please, please,

(01:33):
please be safe during the spring with all this crazy weather.
And if you're new here, I am Arry True Crime
and welcome to Midday Missing, where we highlight current missing
person cases that need more attention. Midday Missing is part
of TCWT Media. Now, guys, next week we will not

(01:54):
have Midday Missing is I will be on vacation, enjoying
some much needed time with our grandson who will be
visiting us for his spring break from California, and I
want to give him all of this Mama's attention. Now.
I will be back on Monday, April fourteenth at one
pm Eastern noon Central, and we will be covering the

(02:15):
Chase Lackey in Ian Wilcoxing cases. Okay, Now, True Crime
and Wine Time, our main podcast now airs every Thursday
at eight pm Central, nine pm Eastern, where we offer
a weekly deep dive into shocking true crime cases perfectly
paired with wine or cocktails and guys. This week we

(02:38):
are covering the case of the Day the Music Died,
the Marvin Gay story. If you don't know that story,
which JT didn't when I told him about it, Guys,
it's insane, and we're going to you're gonna find out
a lot of stuff that you didn't know, so you
definitely want to join us. And then also we are

(03:00):
still doing our limited time live series Every Sunday is
we delve into the bunkers and chilling story of this
Zizzy and cult where we are exploring their radical beliefs
and guys a disturbing trail of violence with a shocking
body count. So you want to tune in Sundays at

(03:22):
eight pm Central, nine PM Eastern. I will tell you
it gives me a headache. And I've always thought the
worst of the worst were bunny Boilers. I literally I
said this last night. I have to come up with
a new terminology because bunny Boilers doesn't do this group.

(03:42):
I mean, they need something worse now, Guys, Before we
get into today's case, I want to provide an update
for you. On March twelfth, we covered the disappearance of
Angel mcgo Martinez, who went missing on February fourteen, twenty
twenty four, after a night of drinking. He left home

(04:04):
on foot and never returned. The next day, his family
found a note believed to be a suicide letter. Angel
is a member of the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians
and was the subject of a feather alert. Guys. On
March twenty second, twenty twenty five, a local nonprofit discovered

(04:25):
human remains during a clean up effort. Today, those remains
have been officially identified as Angel, While the exact cause
of death is still unknown, police do not suspect foul play,
so our hearts go out to Angel's family and we

(04:45):
hope this discovery brings them some measure of peace. I
also want to say, if anyone is struggling with suicide,
You're not alone. Please pick up the phone, call somebody. Truly,
you're not alone, and you are loved and we need
you here. Okay. Now, today we are going to talk

(05:10):
about twenty six year old Destiny Gomez, who is a
member of the Pitt River Tribe and she has been
missing from Reading, California since January fourteenth this year. Okay.
The California Highway Patrol issued a feather alert on March
twenty seventh in an effort to locate her. Okay. Destiny

(05:35):
was last seen around four pm on January fourteenth near
the intersection of Van Sicklin Way in Alamine Drive in
North Reading. This area is situated in a Hilltop Drive
neighborhood off of pepper Tree Lane. Now. She is described
as five feet tall, weighing about one hundred and thirty pounds,

(05:56):
with brown hair and brown eyes. Her family had reported
that they had believed she was in a rehab program
and recently found out she was not. Authorities believe she
may be on foot and possibly in the San Francisco area. Now,
if you're not aware of what a feather alert is,

(06:18):
the feather alert was disseminated to law enforcement agencies across
Shasta to Hama, Almeda and San Francisco County for her.
Feather Alerts are issued by the CHP when local and
tribal law enforcement agencies are an unable to locate a
missing Indigenous person deemed at risk now. Criteria for such

(06:42):
alerts include the individual being missing under explained or suspicious circumstances,
or being considered in danger due to age, health, mental
or physical disability, or environmental or weather conditions. Now, law
enforcement agencies, including the Reading Police Department, are actively seeking

(07:06):
information regarding Destiny's whereabouts. The CHPIECE Feather alert aims to
engage the public's assistance in locating her, in emphasizing the
urgency and concern surrounding her disappearance. So if you have
any information, or if you are in the San Francisco

(07:28):
Hate Ashbury area, please keep an eye out for her, okay,
and contact the Reading to Police Department at five three
zero two two five forty two hundred or call nine
one one immediately if you see her, your information be
I mean, it could be crucial in ensuring her safety

(07:50):
and her wellbeing. Now, as the search continues, the collective
efforts of law enforcement and the community remain vital bringing
Destiny home. Guys, this is active going on right now,
so please share the missing person flyer from our social
media everywhere you can, and if you live in the

(08:13):
Bay Area, please share to any community group that you
know of in the Bay Area. Okay, she is struggling
and she needs our help, so let's do the right thing. Oh,
it looks like Teresa said, thank you very much. Let's
bring my niece home. Teresa Iakrea, I have goosebumps. We

(08:37):
need to keep an eye out for her. San Francisco
is not the safe area it used to be unfortunately
when I lived there. So please keep an eye open
for Destiny now. Next, the next story is of Heather
Leanne Cameron. She's a daughter, a mother, and a tribal member.

(08:59):
She has been since August eighteenth, twenty twelve. Heather was
last seen in Shasta County, California, near the Keswick Damn area. Now.
On the day she disappeared, she made a series of
nine one one calls reporting that she had been drugged
and needed help. A male voice can be heard in

(09:22):
the background during those calls. Law enforcement responded to the area,
but Heather was never found and her case remains unsolved
to this day. Now at the time of her disappearance,
Heather is twenty eight years old, a mother of four guys.

(09:43):
She is a victim of domestic violence. Okay, she is
a Native American woman from the grand I think It's
Ronez tribe. She's approximately five feet five, weighing around one
hundred and twenty pounds, brown hair, and brown eyes. She
has several distinctive tattoos, including a tribal flower on her

(10:05):
back and an image of a girl with a gun
and tribal flowers on her right calf. Now, Heather also
went by the names Heather Leanne Hallier and Heather Leanne
amerin guys. The fact that they heard a male on
the background and she called nine to one one and
said she was drugged makes my heart hurt and makes

(10:29):
my head spin. Knowing she was a victim of domestic violence.
We all should be extremely worried and we need to
do whatever we can. It has now been over a
decade since she vanished. Her loved ones are still searching
for answers. She has four children that need to know

(10:52):
what happened to their mom. So if you have any information,
I don't care how small or insignificant again it is,
or if you think it's a rumor, doesn't matter, please
contact the Shasta County Sheriff's Department at five three zero
two four five six zero two five. Guys, someone knows something.

(11:16):
Let's keep heather story alive and help bring her home now.
All I can think when I was reading about this
is that lying kind of like the Delphi story where
they kept releasing the guy saying, you know, down the hill.
I hope that law enforcement is doing something similar with

(11:38):
the voice. I looked. I couldn't find anything online. If
anyone knows if any reporting agency, news station, law enforcement
have released that, send it to me at Terry at
tcwtmedia dot com. We will add it to all of
our socials and share it. Okay, let's find where she

(12:03):
is and who this guy was. Now. Next, we have
John Thomas Davis the IID. He is a man who
vanished under tragic circumstances in Cavello, California. John was last
seen on October twenty fourth, twenty twenty one, during a

(12:25):
camping trip with his son in their Highway one sixty
two and the eight mile bridge by the Eel River.
That night, a severe rainstorm hit the area, causing the
river to rise and flood their campsite. Now John's son
took shelter in their vehicle, while John stayed behind to

(12:46):
remove their tent. He told his son he would join
him shortly that he has never returned. Search efforts begin
the following day. Now John's dog was found safe. There
was no train of John himself. It's believed he may
have been swept away by the floodwaters. Now, at the

(13:06):
time of his disappearance, John was forty eight years old.
He is biracial. He's Native American and white and affiliated
with the karuk in Urik tribes. He stands five foot eleven,
weighed around two hundred and twenty pounds, and has brown
hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a

(13:27):
camouflage print rain jacket in neon grain pants. I'm sorry
neon cream pants with the reflective stripe. Guys, anyone that
goes camping in that area and you go hiking, please
keep an eye out. Okay, if floodwaters did take him,

(13:49):
he could be up in a place that you wouldn't
think he is. Also, I want to remind people. Something
nefarious could have happened. It is a perfect time or
someone looking to do something bad to find a dad
who's moving a tent because the waters are raging, to

(14:09):
take them and do something to them. Okay, that happened
during Hurricane Katrina in Houston. A husband took the time
because it was perfect. Everything was flooded. You couldn't get anywhere, houses, cars.
He took it upon himself to kill his wife. Okay, guys,
so don't let's not assume that the floodwaters took him. Okay,

(14:32):
the dog got away. So this case does remain open
and the Mendocina County Sheriff's Office is still seeking any
information that could help bring answer to John's family. So
if you know anything, like I said, no matter how
small it may seem, I don't care if you find

(14:53):
a black sock when you're hiking out in that area,
call them. Okay, call seven oh seven or six' three
four zero nine to. Five, now, GUYS i DECIDED i
would give You terry's tips for staying safe while. Camping,

(15:15):
NOW i like to go. Camping believe it or. NOT
i am a girly. GIRL i am bougie is all get.
Out but guess, WHAT i still like to go sleep
in a tent and drug. It, Okay so to, me
there's nothing like escaping the great. Outdoors but whether you're
solo camping or you're with friends or, family safety should

(15:38):
always come. First. Okay Now i'm going to just go
out here and, say if you're solo, camping that concerns. Me,
okay make sure if you're solo, camping you're at least
in a public, park a, campground hiking ground where there's
lots of other. People. Okay, now you need to, always
LIKE i, said be prepared for everything nature in humans

(16:03):
might throw your. Way. Okay always share your itinerary with
a trusted fit friend or family. Member, okay include where
you will be when you're, arriving when you're, leaving and
when they should expect for you to check. In, okay
turn on your find me on your. Phone. Okay pick

(16:26):
the right camp. Site. Okay choose well, populated well lied. Areas,
okay avoid setting up camp near isolated trails or areas
with limited. Visibility, guys if you're going away on a
little love retreat and you're going camping and you're looking
for a little alone sexy. Time you still do not

(16:47):
want to go too far off the. Path. Okay there
are bad people out there who are looking to do nefarious,
things and, GUYS i say this all the. Time if
something fills, off trust your gut and Move. Okay stay
aware of your. Surroundings know who and what is around. You,

(17:11):
Guys i'm talking about animals and. People. Okay if a
stranger is behaving oddly or persistently trying to come and
talk to, you don't. Engage you're under no obligation to be. Friendly,
okay you're. Not you could say, hey turn around and move. On.
Okay now secure your, site. Guys lock your valuables in your, car,

(17:37):
okay not in your. Tent keep your gear out of.
Sight now zip your tent fully when you leave or. Sleep,
Guys snakes can get into your tent if you leave
just a smidge of a little hole. Open, okay zip
that sucker all the way because you do not want

(17:58):
to wake up with a rattle snake on your stomach
because they were looking for someplace. Warm, okay don't do. It,
also don't leave tools or weapons where someone else could grab. Them,
guys don't leave your axe that you're going to chop
wood with outside of your. Tent either put it in
your car or bring it in your tent with you

(18:20):
in case you need. It you don't want to give
it to someone and they go ooh look WHAT i. Found. No,
No also pack for the elements you need to bring
layers for changing. Weather right now In, texas it was
sixty four this, morning it's going to be like seventy
eight or something. Today layering. Works, also always have a

(18:44):
first aid, kit, sunscreen bug, spray and enough food and
clean water to last longer than your plans. Stay, OKAY
i always try to take three to five days per person.
Extra also bring a megaphone or an air horn so

(19:06):
that you can alert others if you are in. Danger,
guys there is nothing more to scare somebody. Off when
you spray an air, horn it's going to hurt their
ears and they hopefully are going to take off running
because everybody around you is going to. KNOW a megaphone
if you're hiking is good to, have and you can

(19:26):
get small portable. Ones if you fall down somewhere or
ving you get in a cave or, something you can
call for help with. That, Okay, now download maps and
carry a paper back up, guys your phone may not. Work,
also bring a compass if you know how to read

(19:47):
a Compass i'm. Learning never eat soggy Waffles i'm. Learning also, flashlight,
multitool and extra. Batteries. Okay NOW i, say carry a,
whistle bear spray in any other legal self defense. Item,
okay know how to use. It keep it with you

(20:10):
even while you. Sleep. Okay camping is peaceful and, fun
but let's be. Proactive the outdoors are, amazing but don't
let the peace fool you into dropping your. Guard, also
store your food either in your car or put it
in a. Bag hoist it up. High do not leave

(20:32):
it on the picnic. Table do not leave it near.
You the animals will come to find. It, okay, guys
just trust me on. It i'm speaking from. Experience and, guys,
remember being prepared is not being. Paranoid it's called being
smart and. Safe. Okay so that's all my. TIPS i

Model Wars

Model Wars

On the surface, the modeling industry in the 80s was about parties and pretty clothes, but underneath the flash, there were drugs, sex, and violence. And Paul Fisher, a former straight-A student from the San Fernando Valley, rose to prominence amidst the turmoil. After a chance encounter with an alleged mobster, Paul suddenly found himself with a million dollars in funding and the chance to start a modeling agency in New York City. The city was then embroiled in a “model war” between industry titans Eileen Ford and John Casablancas, and Paul tried to make his mark. But even as Paul thrived in the party-heavy culture of the time, burning cash like a furnace, he came face to face with the darkest forces in the industry. As his shady backers put the screws to him, Paul faced down deadly consequences, trying to make a star while saving his soul.
