Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, let's just real quick get into a little

(00:02):
bit of baseball before we move on today. With those
guys wrapping up their series, the bliss thing.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Sucks.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
And you know what sucks. It sucks for him. Like
that's the thing, Like, like, take the team away just
for a second. Here's a guy battled his way onto
a major league roster full time for the first time ever.
Starter he started, he just started a second basement. Yeah,
and that earn that opportunity. He saw glimpses last year.
I've talked to my one buddy, who's a scout for
another major league team, has told me, probably not an
every day player in the big league, But you know what,

(00:35):
maybe that's what the scouting report says. What I saw
is a guy playing every day at the second base,
playing really good defense. He gets on the base pass,
he's really dangerous. Now, getting on the base pass can
be a challenge. Not the best hitter in the world,
get it fine, But I'm just sad for him. Like
I I like a good story. Like I like a
good story. I like I like seeing guys that find
their way and battle their way into a situation in

(00:58):
which they're they've earned something and he's earned it and
he's got a torn by set muscle. Ten day d
L I don't know, and are talking off the year.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Is that that feels like it's a hell of along
ten days probably just the first step. It's like Robles
is on the ten day list. He'll be on the
sixty days soon enough. Yes, will Bliss will see. They
called up Leo Revas today, so it wasn't one of
the young guys that called up.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
They're not going down.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
They didn't go down Williams and Williamson Road and think
about moving Polanco back to second. Yeah, they do one
of those things, so they'll go revs. So there's two
sides of this. That's side number one, the personal part
for Ryan Bliss and bummed for him.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
The other side is you reap what you sell. This
is what happens. You don't add anything to your roster
and so you're incredibly thin. And in theory, Bliss probably
should have been a utility guy instead of Mastermony or
whatever his name is, master Bone, master Bonie. I can't

(01:57):
say his name, dude, nobody can say his name. Every
time we say it.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
He is what he should be like, Yes, yeah, pitch
runner defensive side.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
That's what he should be.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, but you don't add anything and that's what you get.
And you don't have any depth in the corner outfield,
and that's what you get. So now you get Dominic Canzone.
I was telling you guy a minute ago. The problem
is is that you know, ros is not only you
lost your leadoff hitter and a pretty good defensive player, yes,

(02:30):
and a guy that can be a spark plug for
your offense. It's funny looking at their roster because the
fact that they're not scoring any runs again for the
most part, and last night you were what were they
won for nineteen with runners in scoring positions? There five
hits over twelve innings. God, they lost a game without
allowing an earned run exactly because because Bill know, the

(02:52):
ghost runner doesn't counter as an earn rise and the
other one was as an heir to by who Dylan Moore?

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I believe, Yeah, I kind of maybe we rout to right.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Well yeah, it technically said throwing air. I don't know
if they updated it, but it could have been caught anyway. Anyways,
we move on the but you know, robots is a
big loss. So you bring in canzone. He can't play it.
He's horrible defensively, Like just an absolute horror show. I
can't wait to get the text now from the Two
Boys and the Monday guys.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
I just hate watching us at bats man people.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
I hate watching him period. He's not a good player.
He's just not a good player.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Right, And now you're starting your right fielder and unless
you move, really but I was gonna go back to this,
what's really remarkable about them not scoring runs? And maybe
this is just twelve games and it'll change and all that,
but you know what's really strange, especially you should see
this in extra innings. They should be a dominant team
in extra innings. And here's why they have speed. Yeah,

(03:47):
like if you go up and down the lineup, like
whoever that ghost runner is, let's just use that for
a second. I mean they don't. Is cal your slowest player? No,
it's JP JP okay probably, which is just terrifying to
think your shortstop is your slowest play go to say
it's one of those two guys. Your catcher is actually
pretty athletic at first basement two? Whoever's doing that? So

(04:08):
like if it's well, if it's if it's rowdy. Sure,
but let's let's just because Rayley's got speed. Raley's fast,
Dylan's fast, Dylan's overrated fast, He's fast enough. A Rose
Raina has got speed, Roblest did have speed, Julio's got speed,
Bliss as speed. I mean, you go through this line.
They got guys that can run, Master Bony can run.
Like like how they don't score with guys that can

(04:31):
run is really remarkable and it's hard to do, like
like it's a hell of an accomplishment to be honest with.
You can't put the ball play, can't put the ball
in play now, they can't put a play. You maybe
put in a play, but not really in play, you know.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
And and I'll go back, you reap what you sew.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
I'm never going to be the guy that kind of
chuckles and says, ahaha, see, I told you so.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I don't care.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
I want.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I think I would hope people sitting in the seat
I'm sitting in right now. I think most rather than win,
winning's fun. I you know, I love you, Divish, but
you know when I hear guys and Greg Bell would
say the same thing, I don't care if the team
wins are losing.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
I think you're lying, I really do.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
I don't think you're telling the truth, because, like I know,
just when I did cover a team every week and
how to do stuff interviews post game, whether it was
in Salt Lake, Portland, and certainly with the Seahawks here,
I don't know if I try not call myself a
fan necessarily, but I sure as how I wanted them
to win. I want them to win. Job's a lot easier,

(05:29):
it's a lot more relevant. You can say that at
the crack and now very much so. I really wish
that they would have been good and not where they are.
But so like when I hear you know, like, I'm
not going to sit here. I want the Mariners to
be good. I want them to be I want them
to win. But we all if a dummy like me
sitting in this seat can see this coming, how the

(05:52):
world could Depoto and Hollander and the rest of the
team not see that, the organization.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Not see that.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
I think it's more than they refused to see it.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Part of it is that they're spinning what the ownership
tells them to do. But the end result is this.
You have in front of you a team that just
isn't very good offensively, and then you lose a pitcher
like Kirby, and then you lose then your bullpen isn't
quite as good. Sauce has to get sent down. Kirby's
still battling back. Taylor's further away than that. You start

(06:22):
taxing your bullpen and you put yourself in a really
tough position, and that's the unfortunate thing. So when you know,
there's no surprise people are pissed, there's no surprise men
or fans are upset. I think sometimes the organization gets us.
They're surprised when we pairt what fans are saying. And
that's what we do in this business, especially sitting in
this seat, We pairt what fans are saying. Fans are mad,

(06:44):
fans are pissed, Fans are none too pleased with what's
going on right now with this baseball team. And rightfully so,
rightfully so, all right, let's socks in football. Our guy
Greg Cosel again, we're gonna talk tight ends. What can
he tell us, well, only what's on the tape in
that's what I hear. Okay, let's make sure if Jess
isn't here, she's on our way to Vegas. Otherwise she

(07:04):
would probably confirm what you just said. Okay from Greg
cosl because she talks to him more than I do.
And I have a twenty minute interview with the guy
every week. So but yeah, we'll talk. We'll check in
tight ends. How do they look for the Seahawks'll find out.

Speaker 6 (07:16):
Next it's time for Egan's weekly visit with NFL Films
Greg Coso, brought to you by Seattle Cider Company on
your home for the twelfth Man in the NFL Sports
Radio ninety three point three kjr FM.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
All right, here we go, our good friend Greg Cosell
joining us. Indeed, it's time to talk all things NFL Draft.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
What are we Greg? We're fIF fifteen days away? Right,
we're fifteen days away?

Speaker 5 (07:46):
Yeah, I have no idea what day it is, what
day of the week it is. I really couldn't begin
to tell you in one way or the other.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
You know what, You and I live in the same
world because and my world changes as of Saturday. And
I know you love what you do. I love what
I do my other job hosting crack and TV for
NHL Team Here no playoffs this season or last broadcast
is Saturday. And I'm starting to and I'm starting to

(08:13):
I'm kind of in that same mode like I get
up in my wife, like if I don't have a
baseball hat on, she says, oh, it must be a
game day, And I said, yep, and homer away, I said,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
You don't discount your perfect hair on game days.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
I appreciate that, Jess, I do. I do appreciate.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
It's the one thing I've got going for me, Greg
is the hair. But yeah, I kind of there's a
finish line. We all get to that finish line at
some point. Now, your finish line, I can tell you
Draft is two weeks from tomorrow, is the first round,
and of course we're going to be out of the
Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Our coverage here on nine three
point three k RFM top to bottom Thursday Friday, and
then we're the only station that does it all day Saturday.

(08:48):
We do it all day Saturday for rounds four through seven.
So we're out there early in the morning. My buddy
Rob Rang joins me at nine am for breakfast and
we just we just go man, and it's then we
play back some of the sound bites from my friend
Greg Cosell is what we do and when guys get
drafted that we've talked about. It's a it's a lovely
few days as the NFL season in the spring kicks off.

(09:09):
But let's let's talk tight ends today, sir, because you know,
the Seahawks have, well, at least as of now, who
knows Noah fans on the roster right and and you
know that was just kind of a position last season
that just didn't seem to quite come together for Seattle
when it was all said and done. And I know,

(09:30):
and we're gonna do something with you and me and
Hugh Millen here in a couple of weeks. But you know,
I know Hughes talked about it quite a bit. The
whole the Noah fan thing just hasn't seemed to work
in Seattle. It feels like tight ends a need for
for Mike McDonald's team and for the Clinton Kubiak offense.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
Yeah, I think that's probably fair to say fans been
there for a number of years. You know, he's had moments,
but he I don't think he developed the way they anticipated.
I guess they have a J Barner who was a
draft choice last year. Who probably had best is a
backup player. You know, if you're gonna play twelve personnel,
he can be your second tight end. But I would

(10:07):
say that if there was a tight end that they
liked and that was available when they were drafting, I
would think that would be a position they would they
would anticipate to get better at through the draft.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
What what is the Clint Kubiak offense? We've I know
we've talked about it. Let's refresh everyone's memory.

Speaker 7 (10:22):
What is that?

Speaker 1 (10:22):
What is the Clinton Kubiak offense? How does it use
tight ends? How many tight ends?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Do they go? Twelve personnel or the eleven? What do
they like to do?

Speaker 5 (10:30):
Oh, sure they go twelve. They can they can really
go in any personnel package. But you know, Kubiak does
come from a background where you know, base personnel is
a foundation. You know, they don't really have a you know,
a fallback on the roster. So they're going to think
in terms of base personnel. That's two tight ends at

(10:51):
which they I would expect that they would like to
use a meaningful amount. I would probably say in the
twenty five to thirty percent range of their offense of snaps.
I think that much of that would depend on the
development of wide receivers and what they do with the
wide receivers in the draft. But there's no question that
base personnel on offense is a meaningful foundation of this

(11:13):
offense and his own run game. It becomes certainly important
that the tight end can be a blocker as well
and not just a receiver.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Greg Cosel brought to you by Seattle Cider, and we
appreciate Greg jumping on with this big thanks to Seattle Sider.
More on them in just a couple of seconds, Greg.
Tyler Warren is the guy that everyone's talking about. First
round grade from Penn States. We saw him last year
play against Washington. We saw him in the College Football
playoff six five, two fifty six. Is those along those routes?

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Who what?

Speaker 7 (11:40):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (11:41):
You know, there's a lot of hype around Tyler Warren.
You've watched the tape on him. Is it justified.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
For the most part? Yes, you know, it's interesting because
the one thing you don't see a lot of with
Tyler Warren, and there's no question he's a physically gifted player.
He's he's strong, he moves well. But the one thing
you didn't see a lot of which doesn't mean he
can't do it. Was when the context of the Penn
State offense and you didn't really see him on a

(12:10):
lot of routes he had to win one on one
where he had to beat you know, man to man coverage.
I would expect that he's capable of doing it. You
just didn't see a lot of it. So again, when
you don't see something, it doesn't mean a player can't
do it. It just means you didn't see it. But
he's very versatile. He can line up anywhere. He's a

(12:31):
difficult matchup for linebackers and safeties. I think you can
detach him from the formation. You can do a lot
of things with him. You certainly can attach him and
use him as a blocker as well. I don't think
there's anything he really can't do. You know, again, there's
just certain things you don't see on film. But he's

(12:52):
a really intriguing player because he was a quarterback for
his first couple of years in high school. You know,
he had twenty six carries at Penn State last year.
He lined up in the wildcat formation. So there's multiple
things you can do with Tyler Warren.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Is he uh I mean we hear. Okay, I'm gonna
the hype around him.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Let me ask you this, And I know you don't
love these sometimes, but I'm gonna ask you anyway, So
if you get mad at me, I'll apologize later.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
I don't deal with the noise. You know that that's
not really relevant.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Existence Is there a comp for him in the NFL?
Like is there a guy that you see that he
reminds you of?

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Oh Camp? For him in the NFL? I would say
that if you were to reach his ceiling, you know,
And again I hate I know you said you know
you were gonna hate asking me that, And I always
hate doing this because as soon as you say someone,
you know what, people think that you're making an exact comparison, right,

(13:51):
not exact. But I think if you were to reach
his ceiling, you would think he could be like a
George Kittle type player. And again, Kittle's phenomenal, and Kittle
is a great blocker, and Kittle has shown he certainly
can win one on one matchups. So that's why I said,
if Warren were to reach his ceiling, I think that

(14:12):
he'd be that style that's the keyword, that style of player.
Maybe not an exact replica.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
And that's what I'm looking for.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
I listen, you know, there's one George Kittle, There's one
Travis Kelcey, There's one Mark Andrews, there's one brock Bowers.
Those guys are everyone's unique in their ways. I'm just
I think that was. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
I would think that because Kittle is likely to be
you know, he's certainly going to be in Hall of
Fame contention five years after his career ends. And I
always hate making a con to a player who's a
potential Hall of Famer. But I was thinking stylistically, not
so much that all.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
He's exactly Georgia exactly, and that's kind I'm looking for.
Greg Coseill brought you by our friends at Seattlesider. Hey,
check out the new Guava Citrus, blending tropical sweetness with
a crisp apple finish. Guava Citrus is bursting with aromas a, passion,
fruit and lime. It's a taste of sunshine and every glass.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Here's the long.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Days and cool SIPs eight point four percent ABV for
the Imperial Guava Citrus. Can't wait to try that fantastic
looking stuff. And we're at that time of the year
where our weather is starting to get a little better
at times. I know, always it's not as nice it
is for Great Costell on the East coast, but we're
getting there along the way, so it sounds like a
great summer beverage as well. Big thanks to salesfor check
out the tap room by the tway between East Marginal

(15:20):
South and First Avenue South down there in either South
Soto or North Georgetown, whatever you want to call it.
Down there a great fun down at the Seattle Cider
tap Room. All right, let's move on Colston Loveland from Michigan.
Another big guy six' five almost sixty, six two hundred
and forty eight pounds from The Michigan. Wolverines what do
you see In Colston? Loveland you, know he's a different.
Player he is again to make a comparison just so people,

(15:43):
understand he's not exactly this, player but, again, stylistically he's
More Brock bowers Than George. Kittle loveland is a terrific.
RECEIVER i mean you can line him up. Anywhere he
moves like a wide. Receiver he's got an incredible receiving, profile, size, speed,
Quickness he's a vertical. Dimension he can.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
Run he is a and by the, way he can
block as, well because when you play In michigan you
do are required to. Block though it's not a case
where he can't, block and he gives effort and he's
Not he's not bad AT i remember speaking years ago
with a coach in the league who was on The
Kansas City chiefs staff When Tony gonzalez got, there and

(16:24):
they Said tony really didn't know how to, block but
he was committed to. Blocking so he blocked well enough
and he got better at it because he was committed to.
It loveland is that kind of. Guy but he is
a true receiving tight. End he is a dangerous weapon
as a receiver.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Real.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Quick that's an interesting take On Tony gonzalz BECAUSE i,
mean people remember. Him he was the basketball player as.
Well cal and came in in the BEING.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
I remember enough to remember.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
THAT i remember watching him, play so AM. I, Unfortunately,
greg we're both in that same. Category but when you
said that he's you, know he's willing to how much
of blocking is? That talking about receivers and tight. Ends
when you talk to coaches and coordinators around the, league
you know you've got these guys that are great, athletes
that are pass, catchers route, runners and they end up
being bigger and they end up being tight. Ends how

(17:10):
much of those guys end, up you, know in terms
of the blocking part of the, game is it just
a want to part of.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
It that's a significant, part and it's also how you
deploy them within the context of your run. Game you,
know a lot of times you'll have guys who maybe
they are on strong point of, attack guys just that's
not who they. Are so what you do is you
ask them to make different kinds of, blocks angle, blocks leverage,
blocks blocks where they have an advantage just by the
very nature of the, block instead of asking them to

(17:35):
maybe block one on one versus a defensive, end which
is someone Like George kidto can. Do so much of
that also depends you understand what the strengths and limitations
of a tight end is as a, blocker as a run,
blocker and then you deploy him. Accordingly so you, know
that's what coaches do when it comes to a run.
Game is even with offensive, linemen they do. That so

(17:56):
it's just a matter of how you choose to deploy
your players based on what they can. Do and what
you don't feel they do.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Well similar, size it looks like From Colson lovelin is
a kid FROM. Lsu Mason taylor FROM lsu thoughts on.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
Him, Yeah Mason taylor is a fascinating guy because forever
reason AND i never say anything negative about, coaches certainly
WHEN i don't, know but he wasn't used very much
in a way THAT i think he can be deployed
when he gets to the. League they didn't use him
very much as an intermediate and vertical dimension and he
certainly has those. Trades SO i think he'll be an
assending player when he gets to the league because he

(18:30):
can run a. BIT i think he can be much
more than a ten yard and in. Receiver very often
they used him just in motion behind the line of
scrimmage and just threw him the ball on the. Flat
and another guy THAT i, think you know is not
a great, blocker but it's NOT i wouldn't call it a,
problem BUT i just think there's more there to his,

(18:50):
game AND i think, that you, know my guess is
he'll still get drafted in the top fifty because it's,
There it's there in his. Body this guy can be
a three level TO, Mensi so.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
It's just the game tape what you're seeing FROM. Lsu
it'll look different when he plays like how he plays
in THE nfl With.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
TAYLOR i believe it. Will, YES i mean it's. There
this guy can, move he can. Run he's a, fluid smooth.
Athlete he's not just a guy you, know like for,
instance a name that just popped into my. Head he's
a smoother athlete Than Cole, kmet who's with The Chicago,
bears who was the second round. Pick you. Know so So.
Taylor you know he's going to be more in THE

(19:29):
nfl as far as receiving than he was in.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
College there's a pedigree there, too, Right he's Not Jason taylor's.

Speaker 5 (19:34):
Son Jason taylor's. Son absolutely.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Yeah with THE nfl Pedigree, miami we know who's going
to go first from The Miami hurricanes this year wherever
it is and somewhere in the in the early part
of the draft will Be Cam, wore the quarterback he
tied end From, Miami Elijah.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
Arroyal most he's the most fascinating guy to. Me you,
know we obviously know About warren In, loveland but after,
That arroyo is the most fascinating guy to. Me he's
been hurt a. Lot this year was the first time
he essentially played a full. Season this guy is truly
an explosive receiving tight. End he is a true vertical.
Dimension you can run this guy on any kind of

(20:10):
routes you, want and he can. Block because keep in,
mind they had a running back Named Damian martinez and
they ran the ball with, power so he was asked
to be a meaningful part of the run game in
terms of. Blocking, again certain kinds of, blocks but he
has experienced doing it and it's something he had to
do with The university Of. Miami but as a vertical

(20:34):
dimension and as a guy that can take the top
off a, defense he's that. Guy he's to me because
he was hurt in twenty twenty two and twenty twenty
three and hasn't played a, lot and obviously that's a
factor and where he might get, drafted there's a durability. Issue,
obviously if you're not on the, field you know that's a.
Problem but assuming, hell he's a really intriguing prospect at

(20:55):
the tight end.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Position you, know my, favorite my favorite terms from great
Co sellen were doing the draft. Conversation greg is fascinating
AND i really like this. Guy those are when you
when you throw those two terms, out the first THING
i think of, is that's that's How John schneider. THINKS
i love when you say things like, that you know
a little. OFF i love. THOSE i Love elijah, o'royle
one of those guys all right just.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Down the street from.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Us everyone's favorite school In, seattle The Oregon Ducks Oregon
Terrence ferguson from The ducks.

Speaker 8 (21:22):
There tight, End, yeah He's he was a guy THAT
i kept going back and forth on because there's a
part of me that thought he could develop into a
tight end, one you, know not not at the highest,
level but still be a tight end.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
One and there was another part of me that, thought,
Oh i'm not. Sure you, know he's pretty lineary, Linear
he's pretty straight. Lined BUT i think he's got some
speed to. HIM i think he can run the vertical.
Seam he's a good. Receiver he's not an explosive. Athlete
he's a pretty good. BLOCKER i made it a point

(21:58):
to watch a lot of his blocking BECAUSE i really
Like Jordan. James SO i saw a lot Of Jordan
james runs and made it a point to Watch, ferguson
although he didn't always. Play they had other tight ends
who were. They i'm sure they saw as better blockers Than,
Ferguson BUT i think he's. Capable SO i kept going
back and, Forth, like for, INSTANCE i kept, thinking is

(22:18):
He Jake ferguson with The, cowboys who's technically a tight
end one for The? Cowboys or is He Noah gray
for The chiefs who's tight end. TWO i sort of
kept wavering back and forth on WHAT i. Thought but
he's going to play in the, league and depending on
what team he's, on he could be a tight end.
One he just might not be one of those tight
end ones that catches eighty.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Balls it's interesting because you met those two, guys No
gray And. Ferguson Jake, Ferguson, yeah the Other, Ferguson Jake
Ferguson Dallas is you talk about those two. Guys they're
both guys that pop every now and, then, Right like
those are both guys every now and then you, Go,
god there's something, there, right and then they'll go like
two games they don't do.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Anything.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
Well it's funny because obviously No A grazes two tight
end because they Have. Kelsey But i've spoken to coaches
who and because SOMETIMES i Watch Noah gray AND i
think he could this guy be a tight end. One
and pretty much Everybody i've spoken to, said, no he's
in the perfect. Position he's a great tight end two
and that's what he. Is so you, Know, Uh So,
FERGUSON i keep Going Terrence, FERGUSON i keep going back

(23:18):
and forth on BUT i tell you, what when you
watch The oregon, offense and OBVIOUSLY i watched a ton of,
it you, know going back to last, year and because
they always have, players as you, know he always shows,
UP i was, like, oh, this this guy's pretty. GOOD
i just walked that fine, line you, know And i'm
just not. Sure so you know what that. Means it
means he becomes team and scheme. Specific there you.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Go, Okay, okay this, Week i'm curious about this because
we've talked, about you, know all these power for conference,
Schools Penn, State, MICHIGAN, Lsu, Miami. Oregon let's let's go
to our. Faith tuesday Night Macattack. Action we love The
mac on A tuesday ON, Espn, Right, huh there's nothing
like The mac on A, tuesday we've Got Western michigan
taken On Bowling green And Bowling green's got a tight

(24:00):
end Named Harold Fannin.

Speaker 5 (24:01):
Jr, yeah it sounds like an, Accountant Harold Fannin. Jr you,
know but, yeah and he caught one hundred and seventeen.
BALLS i, watched you, know watched a ton of. Him you,
know he's an interesting guy because he's got funny running,
stops almost like he doesn't pick up his. Legs it's.

(24:22):
Almos he's he's kind of, stiff he's kind of straight.
Line is he's. LINEAR i think he can run a little,
bit you, know probably not as well as you might.
Hope there were catchers where he did run the, scene
BUT i think you always have to think about the
level of competition when when that is the, case will
he run the scene in THE. NFL i kind of

(24:45):
came AWAY i in thinking that he's a tight end,
too that he's not really a you, know don't forget
he's two hundred and forty one, pounds and you know
you lose sight of. That you, know you watch him
and because he has te next to his, name you
think tight. End oh, Yeah but he's two hundred and
forty one. POUNDS i, MEAN i spoke to one coach
and the first thing he said to me WHEN i

(25:05):
brought Up, fan and he, SAYS i don't know what
to do with the guy because you, know he's two forty,
one so he's not and even though he gives effort
as a, blocker he's still to forty. One you, know
you can't get past.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
That AND i think he's on to sixty, three, Right he's,
like he's only sixty three.

Speaker 5 (25:20):
Too he's, right and he's only sixty. Three that's just
WHAT i was going to. Say so he neither is,
tall nor is does he weigh a? Lot so what
do you do with? Him And i'm not sure he's
a good enough receiving tight end at THE nfl level
where you just, say, okay he's a great, receiver you.
Know it's not like we're dealing with The Coaston, lovelin you.

Speaker 7 (25:38):
Know SO.

Speaker 5 (25:41):
I kind of feel like he's a number two, guy you.
KNOW i, MEAN i don't think he's a tight end
one at.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
All and maybe the fall guy will talk about move
back to the power. Schools and he's also only two forty,
one but he's a little bit. Taller That's Gunner helm
From texas run around sixty five to forty.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
One, yeah he's another guy THAT i kept watching thinking
could he be a tight end one or is he
a tight end? Two AND i kind of felt like
he's a tight end. Two but but and the other
thing In texas's, offense which is a tribute To Steves,
sarkisian it seemed like every ball he caught he was
just in wide open. Space and it's pretty good run
after any, patch but he always had space to.

Speaker 7 (26:20):
Run you.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
Know it's. Funny run after catch is one of those relative.
Terms and if you catch a ball and there's nobody
in front of, you you, KNOW i don't do that
as run after. CATCH i, mean anybody can run when
there's no one, there you. Know so that he did
that a. Lot he's good at, it and you, KNOW
i think he's pretty smooth and fluid with a ball
in his. Hands but because so many of his catches

(26:41):
came when he was wide open in, SPACE i just
wasn't sure how that would transition to the. League now he's,
taller he's a better athlete Than, Fannin but you're, right
he does, wait two forty, one so he's kind of
a lean body. TYPE i THINK i ultimately came down
on the fact that he's proba probably a tight end,
too maybe he could become a tight end one down the.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Road so that kind of just tells, Me greg as
we wrap it up, here that really we get to
that point in the draft with tight. Ends you, know
whether It's gadson From, Syracuse evans From Notre, dame bringing
stool From, clemson et, cetera we're kind of all we're,
now we're kind of all in tight end to, territory
right and For seattle that.

Speaker 5 (27:22):
Isn't our tight end three depending on, right you, know, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Like, yeah like anybody passed those first few guys we talked,
about you're talking that's not really an upgrade from what
you have right, now it doesn't sound.

Speaker 5 (27:32):
Like and then there's certain guys like The Georgia tech,
KID i. FORGET i think It's Jackson.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Hawes Jackson.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
Hawes, yeah he's a great, blocker but he's a. Blocker
he's not a receiver at. All SO i, mean you,
know it depends what you're. LOOKING i MEAN i would
think that then The seahawks would be looking for a
tight end that can be a. Receiver, yes you know,
Again i'm not saying that the guy can't, block but
you know that would be my. Guess you know that
they'd want a guy that is a factor in the past.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
GAME i Think Sam darnold would like that too as.

Speaker 5 (27:59):
WELL i, MEAN i Forget darnold just came from throwing
it To. Hockinson i'm sure he'd like a tight end
that's a pretty good.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
RECEIVER i would. Agree all, right, sir good stuff soon
to come out of.

Speaker 7 (28:10):
TIME.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Tba you're gonna Hear Greg cosell And Hugh milling together,
AGAIN i, know just as pumping her. Fists so AM i.

draft segment with the two best football minds that we

Planet and that'd be great Co selle And.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
Humilling well Until lenny and what was that drink you
were talking about at the at the place SAYS i
THINK i need about twenty classes of those.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Between now and. Then, well that's a good that's a good.

Speaker 7 (28:37):
Promotion.

Speaker 1 (28:37):

up the cool story last. Night Victor osman was a
goaltender who's played this year in the equivalent Of DOUBLE A,
baseball The East Coast Hockey. League, right we all know
About Coachella, valley, Right TRIPLE a HOCKEYHL Hl American Hockey
league your number one. Play most teams have some sort
of agreement with a team in The East Coast Hockey,
league which is Basically DOUBLE A. Hockey, LIKE i, think

(31:27):
where's the M DOUBLE a team Now stown In? Arkansas till, yes,
yeah The. Travelers, Yes so that so two steps below THE,
nhl like two steps Below Major League. Baseball osmin was
basically goalie five in their system this year played The
university Of, Maine swedish kid twenty four years. Old, grubauer being,
sick couldn't, dress so they called Up osmin From Coachella

(31:49):
valley in an emergency recall Because Alex steshka is injured
and they didn't want to bring Up Nikki, koko who's
The coachell is trying to go for playoff higher playoff.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Seed this kid was supposed to sit on the. Bench
that didn't.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Happen he got to play the third period HIS nhl.
Debut became the ninety eighth goaltender to play in THE
nhl this. Season he became the fifth goalie to play
For seattle this. Season AND i think that would make
it five this Year Martin jones, Six Chris drieger, seven,
right seventh goalies played for The cracking on their.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
HISTORY i do Believe i'm trying to think that there's one.
MORE i don't think so like a spot starter or.
SOMETHING i think it was just. That, yeah because the
five guys this, Year drieger And Martin. Jones, okay, right
it sounds about, right, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
So, yeah good for. Him he played really, well stop
thirteen of thirteen. Shots SO i love, that you, know
like all joking. Aside it doesn't like Like bucky in
the morning kind of make you, know kind of does
some self.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Deprecation he Played Major League.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Baseball hit home runs in T Mobile park in the big.
Leagues in the big, leagues, yeah you're less than one
half of one. Percent you step on the ice one
time for AN nhl, game you're one half of one.
Percent so good For Victor osbin played, well starting to
see the fruits of, organization been in there for four.

feel like we only get to talk about, four, five
six times a, year but this is the first time
and we're old friends FROM i just Mentioned utah our
days In Salt Lake. City real golf radio is what
he does. Now Bobby casper joining us on The Beacon Plumbing. Hotline, Hi,

(37:49):
bobby how are you and how you?

Speaker 2 (37:52):
Doing?

Speaker 5 (37:52):
Buddy MISS i miss you.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Man how are things down In Salt Lake city these?
Days How's? Utah how's the hockey club doing down?

Speaker 9 (37:59):
There you, KNOW i haven't been to any games, yet
but it's kind of fun That Ryan smith brought those
guys To Salt. Lake brian's been to a few games
and he said it's the atmosphere is, awesome AND i
think they're being well received By utah so.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Far that's.

Speaker 1 (38:15):
Awesome that's great to. See bobby AND i worked together
In Salt Lake we date both of us here see
twenty twenty. Five it would have been somewhere around twenty
six years ago or so we were working together In
Salt Lake.

Speaker 9 (38:26):
City ian we started our show twenty six years. Ago
this Is brian and my twenty fifth time here AT
i guess.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Wow that is awesome for people who Know bobby's father
Is Billy, casper Legendary hall Of Fame Golfer Masters champion as,
well the Late Billy. Casper and so The masters And
augusta very, special but Real Golf. Radio they cover everything
about golf and especially hit the majors and everything like
that as. Well we'll tell you about how you can
listen to these guys and get the best golf covers

(38:55):
you can find Real Golf radio at the end of the,
Segment but before we talk about some of the storylines
in the, Tournament, bobby that is kind of. One it's
kind of the tournament that captures everybody's, attention even if
you're not a huge golf. Fan before we get to
all of, that your dad won, there so it's special
for you and your. Family but for someone who's never
been To, augusta they've watched it ON, tv they've seen

(39:16):
it from. Afar what is it About Augusta national and
The masters tournament that separates it and makes it special
from all the other.

Speaker 9 (39:24):
Majors, well the interesting thing About augusta is the traditions of.
That it's the only major championship that has played at
the same golf course every. Year So i'm sure if
you've watched, it you've seen, it you've seen everything about you,
know you can you can remember the twelfth, hole the
par three over the, creek then you you know, thirteen

(39:48):
the par five and. Stuff but what you don't realize
is the is the topography of this golf. Course you
start out way up, high and then one goes out
to go a dog leg left down a, hill and
then you start you start working, down and then you
come all the way back up to the clubhouse on,
nine and then once you hit, ten you start down,

(40:11):
again and, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen you're starting to come back,
up fifteen goes down again a little, bit and then
seventeen and eighteen come.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
All the way back up to the clubhouse.

Speaker 9 (40:22):
Again so it's you you literally when you leave the
clubhouse on the first hole and on the tenth, hole
you go down on the golf course and then come back.
Up so there's a lot of a lot of slope
and that kind of thing to this golf, course but
also the trees when you get on the grounds that
it feels more hallowed than any other golf course or

(40:46):
grounds that you've been. Around they keep it that. Way
there's expected traditions and expected decorum when you're on the golf,
course and when you're watching people cheer for. Shots they
don't cheer for bad. Shots they don't cheer against the.
Players everybody understands that are on, grounds what they're what they're,

(41:09):
doing and and the.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Golf shots that they.

Speaker 9 (41:12):
See so it's it's really really cool to go to
a place year after year after year and and know
that it's going to be consistent and it's not going
to be something that's different each.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
Time, bobby what what's it like for a player going
there for the first.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Time i'm just. Thinking.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
So joe High smith's is from up here in our
neck of the. Woods joe a winner on the tour this.
Year he's got an early tea time With Zak johnson
past champ Or.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Zak johnson as he won the. Tournament why DO i
think he has has Ha zach? One, NO i don't
think he, has.

Speaker 9 (41:42):
Yeah Zach Zach Zak johnson has one mass, okay, yeah
fac he shares a locker in the champions room with my.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Dad oh, well that's going to be a favorite for
The casper. Family so for a guy Like joe High
smith playing With Zak Johnson Chris Kirk tomorrow morning uh
five Thirteen pacific, time eight Thirteen east and time out
there early tea. Time for guy Like, joe what's the hardest,
Part like when you walk out there and play At
Augusta national for the first.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
Time is it?

Speaker 1 (42:07):
Intimidating is it overwhelming because guys go out it's got
to be different when you're playing there for the first.

Speaker 9 (42:13):
Time, well you, know you've kind of blown it up
all your life in your mind about the opportunity to
come and play at The. Masters then you, know you
get you get the, opportunity you know what's. Coming but
then you get the you, know you get the invitation
in the mail inviting you to play in the. Tournament

(42:33):
then once once you, have once you are on the
list of, invitees which means like guys that want a
golf tournament later earth last year or early in the
season this, season that kind of. Thing once you're on that,
list then you can make a. Trip you can make

(42:53):
trips here to play practice rounds and that kind of
stuff even before the week of the. Tournament so a
lot of guys will do, that especially first time, ers
guys that that are new to the whole. Experience they'll,
come they'll, play they'll you, know, uh a club caddy
will caddy for, them a member might go out and

(43:13):
play golf with them and tell them some things about
the golf course and that kind of, thing and it
kind of eases them in to the idea of that
that that they're going to be played playing in The.
Masters once they get on site on you, Know saturday
Or sunday Or monday Of masters, week now it's eyes
wide open and it's almost like you you catch them

(43:35):
in uh awe of everything that's going on and uh
seeing all the people, here seeing all the scoreboards, up
and the reality starts to set in that you're here
playing the week of The. Masters and then once the
gun goes off On, thursday it's a totally different thing
because now you're trying to get. It you're trying to

(43:57):
figure your way around the golf course based on the
conditions that are present on that, day and the conditions change.
Daily and then you get down into a men, corner
and you see eleven and twelve and you're playing that
twelfth hole and the wind shifting around and you're trying
to pick the right, club and thirteen and you're going
trying to go for the green and two to make an,
eagle and fifteen over the. Pond you, know it's just

(44:21):
a lot to take. In and that's why you've only
seen two guys that have won The masters in their first.
Attempt the first one was was the very First, masters
and Then Fuzzy zola woned his first. Attempt so we
had Luvig obert who was right right in the mix
of things and had a chance last, year but hit

(44:43):
the ball in the water on the pond on eleven
down there On amen corner and that cost him his
chance to. Win but he finished. Second so it's just
it's kind of. Overwhelming but these guys are really really
good at figuring it. Out they're really good at being
prepared when they get on THE Pga tour to be

(45:05):
able to contend and, win let. Alone now they're getting
in a major and a historic major like The, masters
and feeling like they can achieve things and have an.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
Opportunity Bobby casper JOINING Us Real Golf.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
Radio what's the word down, There bobby about The i'm
gonna ask a bigger picture question then we'll get into
the golf tourna. Itself what's the word down there about
trying to bring golf back? Together the LIVE pga. Split
we'll see this as a major In. Brooks koepka And
Dustin johnson And sergio And phil and guys are going
to play in this. Tournament so what are you hearing

(45:41):
from the golf community about getting this world back?

Speaker 9 (45:44):
Together, well you, know the interesting thing Is Chairman ridley
was asked that question today and he said he supports
THE Pga tour and THE rna and the US. Ga
THE rna and THE usgas have figured out a way
for golfers to be able to get into their events
an exemption. CATEGORY theirs is an. Open those two are open.

(46:08):
Championships this is an. Invitational so every year The Augusta
national revisits their invitation categories and they'll do it again this.
Year but as of, yet they don't have a direct
invitation or a direct category that allows a player to
from live to be on the be playing in this.

(46:32):
Event they do have special exemption categories which you have
seen a couple of those players From live be able
to be. On but there are twelve guys that are
playing From live this this year here at The. Masters,
now what is happening is, now it's it's it's all
negotiations between THE Pga, tour the Dp World, tour and

(46:53):
The Public Investment fund With Saudi. ARABIA i Guess Saudi
arabia just made a pitch to THE Pga tour like
maybe a week, ago and it. Wasn't it wasn't what
THE Pga tour. WANTED Pga tour feels like they are
in the driver's seat right now with as far as
leverage is, concerned because they play three years On live

(47:15):
right now and most of the player's contracts are over
at the end of next. Year so they need to
do something to get those guys to be able.

Speaker 5 (47:26):
To have those guys.

Speaker 9 (47:29):
Come under the end and live to come under the
umbrella of THE Pga. Tour and somehow they've got to
figure it. Out but as of right, yet right, now
nothing is being done as far as being able to
get that done anytime.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Soon Bobby Casprial golf, right all, right the field, itself
as we look at. It you, Know scotty's is a
heavy betting, favorite but maybe not playing this his best
golf as he has the last couple of. Years he
comes back a little bit trying to get regain his.
FORM i was reading something that this way the tournament
or the course is set up now it favors guys
with some longer irons maybe you, know like one hundred

(48:01):
and seventy five tuned in as the shots you're gonna.
Have you're not gonna have a lot of shots like
one thirty to one, fifty you, know into the greens.
Here so if that's truly the, case who are the
guys that jump out at? You Be cheffer was an obvious,
One but who's some of the guys that jump out at?

Speaker 4 (48:15):
You?

Speaker 9 (48:17):
Well you, know you, Know scotty had the injury with
his with his right, hand you, know from the from
the glass the stem of the glass that cut in,
there and he had to have it more glass surgically
taken out and have it had it stitched up and.
Everything so he got off to a he got off
to a slow start just because of the. Injury so
but he's starting to ramp, up you. Know he finished

(48:38):
second At, houston which he did At houston last year
also before he came. Here BUT i think he'll play.
Well but you, Know rory's never won twice before coming
to The, masters and here he has already won twice
on THE Pga tour of The players and a signature
event At Pebble. Beach SO i Think rory would would

(48:59):
be a great a great one as far AS i
think him being or having probably his best.

Speaker 1 (49:06):
Chance, moby let me, interject what is it About rory
and The? Masters it just like like it's there's some
sort of snake bitten thing going on with him lately.

Speaker 9 (49:14):
There why, well you, know he had an opportunity to
win it the first time he played, it and then
he he shot forty on the back nine and hit
that errant drive off of the tenth hole and and
really kind of shot himself in the. Foot but now
he's won. Majors he hasn't won one since what twenty
fourteen or, fifteen but he now he's won. Majors now

(49:36):
this is the only golf tournament that he's keeping him
away from holding the Career Grand, Slam and so coming
into this event year after year after, YEAR i think
this is like a seventh or eight time that he's
he's done. That people are always asking him about. It,
well less people ask him about it this. Time we
didn't hear any of those questions in his press conference

(49:58):
about the Career Grand slam and polishing you, know finishing that.
Off SO i THINK i think he probably is in
his best frame of mind and best frame of his
golf game coming into this. One so so the interesting
stories these are the two interesting. Stories ian him having
a chance to get the Career Grand slam and being

(50:20):
one of the five or six to have accomplished that
in the game of, golf Or Scottie scheffler back to
back as a, winner which there are only three that
have done, That norman or excuse, Me jack And faldo And.
Tiger so you've got two guys that that could do

(50:40):
something historical this year here at here At. Augusta so
what would be a better story than those guys coming
down the, stretch having them both having a chance to
win and being able to tick that off in their.

Speaker 1 (50:51):
Resume, NO i, agree And i'd like to see. HIM i,
mean you, KNOW i think Think roway's been good for the.
Game he's been a Good ambassador's been a frustrating a
couple of years at. Times you, KNOW i think all
those there are good, storylines and you, Know scotty is
an interesting. ONE i think only Is jack the only
one that's won three over the course of four years as.
WELL i believe that's the, case and this would be, yeah,
yeah this would be three and four For scotty.

Speaker 2 (51:13):
Too along the, way give, me give give our.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
Listeners We're we're brought to you by a Casino sonoll calm,
me casino sports. Book give our. LISTENERS a couple other
guys that that maybe their game sets up well For
Augusta national this.

Speaker 9 (51:25):
Week, okay So i've already So i've already said. TOO
i think another one that's probably gonna have a good
tournament As Russell. Henley he just won The Ape Arnold Palmer.
Invitational another, Guy, sepstraka would be a great. One you.
KNOW a guy that hasn't that that was injured and
had had surgery on his wrist last during the fall

(51:47):
of last year to have a little sister removed Is
Jordan speeth and he's starting to come back around and
this place really really kind of helps elevate his. Game,
too so that would be another. One there's there's there's
so many guys out, There Bryson. Dechambau you got to
watch him with his success last year and winning THE Us.
Open there's so many guys out there that are going
to have a chance this.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
WEEK i think joined me be a great story.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
Too it's been with ten years since he won At
augusta and then also hear THE Us open At Chambers
bay and nice to see him coming back into for
him as. Well all, Right, bobby tell people about Real Golf.

(55:00):
up Doing cosell And hugh two weeks from, today is my.
Guests and if you listened To Greg coseell, earlier we
did this in the. Fall it was The seahawk bye
week and kind OF i, mean it's very podcasting in a, sense.

Speaker 3 (55:15):
Podcast like that.

Speaker 1 (55:17):
Podcasting but WHAT i did is the, minds the football
minds Of hugh And, cosell put them. Together those guys
have known each other for a long, time great respect
for each, other and we did that during The seahawk
bye week and it was really well. Received and for,
me it's the best radio of all because it's less of,
me more of somebody. Else AND i JUST i just, said,

(55:39):
hey you, guys here's a topic, speak here's a topic,
speak and they just. Go and so we're going to
do something With hugh and With greg and you'll probably
hear it a week two weeks from.

Speaker 4 (55:50):
Today do you see that our Guy Keith Millner miller
taged us in a photo that if.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
You're on the ex go check it. OUT i just retweeted,
it post did whatever we call it these. Days but
the what we're gonna probably do is we'll talk, draft
but we'll probably start by having the two of them
discussed the off season Moves Sam, Darnold Cooper, Cup Marcus, Valdez, scantling,
Resigning Ernest, jones et.

Speaker 2 (56:17):
Cetera and then.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
We'll kind of, Go, okay what are the draft needs
for The, seahawks you know, what what should the priorities?
Be what are they looking for in the offensive? Line
can any of the current offensive interior offensive? Line and
we say offensive, line we kind of grouping, together it's
interior offensive. LINE i think it's safe to say they
feel okay About cross And Lucas. HELL i THINK i
heard a new guy today talking about they're putting a.
PICTURE i Think cross gets a gets billing on The

(56:43):
loominfield event center board out, there you know by across From.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
Jimmy's, right.

Speaker 3 (56:48):
It's.

Speaker 1 (56:49):
Bolton move also kind of tells you where we, are,
Right that's, no it was it Was, Cross Its.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
Cross. Yeah, Yeah, ANYWAY.

Speaker 1 (56:59):
I think they feel good about the. TACKLES i think
that's safe to say those two guys are. Healthier, fine
we talked about, offensives insurier. Guys so we'll talk about
that with those. Guys, uh and then we'll go through
the draftnees tight, end wide, receiver insurior offensive. Line do
they need help at? Cornerback you? Know is can they
live with job slash whatever combination you have of job
Slash Wallan and of course we Know witherspoon's, fine so

(57:20):
we'll talk about that coming up with those. Guys can't
wait for. Them, okay let's get some text. Messages hit
the music four, nine four or five.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
One i've got a lot. Today. Hmm.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
Interesting, yeah it's an interesting little case Study i'm doing. Right, yeah,
Well i'm just it's very inside radio joke here AT.
Kjr but, okay appreciate you guys all listening. TODAY i didn't.

Speaker 2 (57:40):
Know, okay what do we got?

Speaker 1 (57:42):
Here let's see a lot Of mariners conversation a, lot
so we'll get to some of. This the problem is
that running the seal mantor is not like they're not
city affiliated, athletics like, oh like they're the no city affiliated.
Athletics that's from the mayor Of. RAVENSDALE i should know
who the mayor Of ravensale. Lists that's a bordering city

(58:04):
For Maple. Valley BUT i don't thank, You mayor Of.
Ravenstale did you see some of the Pictures have you
seen some of the pictures From? SACRAMENTO i have not.
Known you, know The a's kind of made it a
point of saying where the you, know kind of we're
just The a's, right the athletics and where happened to
be playing In. Sacramento see The sacramento is like giving
them the middle, finger like nobody, like LIKE i, know

(58:27):
nobody went To a's. Games nobody's going to the minor
league ballpark to watch the athletics right. Now like it's really.
Bad LIKE i, mean it's really.

Speaker 4 (58:35):
Bad and there's questions whether they're gonna get the park
done In.

Speaker 3 (58:40):
Vegas they might come back To.

Speaker 1 (58:41):
Oakland they, listen there's two places they should. Go, Yeah
oakland number one and by a, Landslide like that's where
they should. Be IT'S i know they didn't start. THAT
i know they started In Kansas, city but it's The Oakland.
A's they've got a history, There they've got little things
Called World series titles that are, there things like.

Speaker 2 (59:01):
That that's what they should.

Speaker 1 (59:03):
Be but if Not, Portland, yeah it's a far better
option Than. Vegas, Okay, vegas they're gonna get THE, Nba
they've already got THE. Nhl it's somewhat of a transient.
City it's hot as you know, what they're in the.
Summer you're gonna have to end the stadium makes from

(59:23):
people down. There the stadium where they're gonna put it
makes no sense In.

Speaker 7 (59:26):
Vegas.

Speaker 1 (59:26):
Yeah, yeah like they're trying to put the square fit
a square pagan around, Hole that's WHAT i. Mean, yeah
go back To. Oakland this is just it's, embarrassing rob
manfro just. Embarrassing. Yeah, Uh Marya's DOUBLE a team is
playing right. Now this is a three to six.

Speaker 4 (59:38):
Zero i'd feel a lot better if that was Our
DOUBLE a team that was playing that was down for.

Speaker 1 (59:46):
Nothing, yeah, yeah. Probably let's see what. Else we got
a lot of people complaining about. Umpiring empire's.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
Bad it's.

Speaker 1 (59:52):
Bad this has to be the last. Year we're gonna
deal with. This non tr man and at.

Speaker 3 (59:57):
Least get like the way you can challenge.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
It old man yelling at clouds hates the idea of
are used to hate the idea of automatic balls and, strikes, right.

Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
It's.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
Ridiculous so as you'd rather have it fully automated to
where there's no umpire making any, decision or would you
rather have it like they did in a spring training this,
year where you can challenge something and it's only like
what once prep bat or something like.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
THAT i don't have the challenge to it takes too.
Long i'd just go do with the minor.

Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
Leagues.

Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
Two, okay very.

Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Simple you're behind home plate to tell what the little
beaper tells you striker.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Ball, yeah and if you're to.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
Make still make calls at home, play you still make
calls on the bases and home plate and everything. Else
the problem is, this the ego is what runs the game.
Now it's the ego of. It and so like in most,
Sports i'd, say, hey, listen we need to have the human.
Elements we need to have a human element. Here we
need to have the, umpire the, referee the, official whatever it.

(01:00:51):
Is but it's most of the games have gotten to
be have become too, fast too, quick too big for
old men to be making. CALLS ncaa tournament this year is.
Awful it was as bad As i've seen it in
a long. Time Tony padilla is a, joke and the
fact THAT i know a referee.

Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
Name that's. Terrible it's.

Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
Terrible it's like Ced buckner at her.

Speaker 7 (01:01:13):
Name you.

Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Should they don't have names on their. Backs the only
referees and officials you should really know is the referee
for AN nfl, game because it'll, say you know the
name right? There, yeah make on the screen if you
hear them and see. THEM a LOT nhl officials do the,
same but they don't even put their names on their.
Back they used to have their names on their. Back
they don't do that. Anymore they wised up a long time.
Ago but, yeah it's it's. Done talking about The, Masters

(01:01:39):
i'm really thinking It's jordan's speed this year would be
great to. See that's from the seven to. Four, YEAH
i Think jordan's good for the.

Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
Game see the video of his kid hitting and.

Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Drive, yeah that was really. Cool well that's the part.
Three contest is. Fun it's. Fun it's it's really.

Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
Fun. Fun let's, see.

Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
MOM i flipped over to The San Diego a's earlier
WHEN i Said i've done with the. M's that's a
And sacramento was four THAN T Mobile. Estate, no it, Wasn't,
no it wasn't a five. Zero, no it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
Maybe for opening? Day if, maybe.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Fire batting, coaches fire, managers change your, managers fire the
president of baseball. Operations when is it possible fire? Ownership
that's From, ben it's not they own the. Team, yeah
they can't fire. Themselves let's, yeah sell the. Team, yeah
they own the. Team that's. Hard there was a thing last,
night a bunch of FANS i guess had they had
something on the front of THEIR t shirts and they
got on the big screen whatever was on the. Front,

(01:02:29):
Yeah but then as soon as they got on the,
screen they flipped around and said sell the. Team and
then apparently the panic that ensued in the control room
there they were like punt like the screen was flashing like,
Fire like they couldn't take.

Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
Three do take?

Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
Two take, three take, three take? Two like which camera
they could get? On so they get off as quick as,
possible like they they they stay on guys flipping the
burg or bearing their ass or anything else longer than
they stayed on that.

Speaker 3 (01:02:56):
Shot yeah they.

Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
Did but the beautiful thing about social media is pople
still captured. It they still capture it. There, Yeah, oh let's,
See i'm not gonna read that. One, oh let's See Keith.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Miller oh it's a great. One you go ahead and read, it.

Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
OKAY i think.

Speaker 4 (01:03:15):
Most organic life forms would prefer the entertainment you provide
versus THE sodo disaster sut of. Disaster definitely more hits
in your generic bumper music than a, temple.

Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
Which is saying something because there are no hits in
our generic no bumper. Music it's a whole. Lot it's
a big thing came. Out we got another big email
the other. Day they're not, bad but you know the
groove in.

Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
Here.

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
WELL i think the problem is is people are used
to hearing music on the radio station as a bump
that is like. Nice they, Recognize, yeah we can't do
that anymore because.

Speaker 4 (01:03:47):
Otherwise we wouldn't be able to, podcast and we want
to have content for you guys to you know.

Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
Why, honestly it's just like nil and everything else because,
everybody somebody got greedy somewhere and decided to make a,
fuss and so they screw everybody elseo over in the.

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Process that's exactly what.

Speaker 4 (01:04:03):
Happens probably like an artist that this probably is, about
you know, what it's probably just it's probably like it's
the equivalent of a.

Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Swimmer, yeah following a.

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
LAWSUIT i gotta Ask softy BECAUSE i Think Ben Burgh curvin.
WAS i think he's getting him on the show at some. Point, YEAH,
BBK i believe was against this whole house, settlement WHICH
i THINK i find really. Interesting i'm happy. Football if
that's the, Case i'm. Glad, yeah BUT i gotta find out,

(01:04:34):
why BECAUSE i think that's pretty. Interesting It's okaymaron, Fans
huskies And coos kickof in one hundred and forty three
DAYS m final one for two. Five do you still
think The Silver tips have a Little sharman in? Them
who are you rooting for the next?

Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Series? Oh, hello, yes.

Speaker 1 (01:04:53):
Yes the only Team i'm rooting for now would be
The Spokane. Chiefs what the Cat Berkeley caton just dropping
seven point games in THE whl, playoffs it's nothing, Like it's. Nothing,
god he's he's too good for that. League, well he's
too good for the. League problem is he's too young
to play in THE, hl so he'll be. Here, Well

(01:05:15):
Bron francis told us ON tv he's gonna be here
at start of the next. Season so if he's not
here at the start of the next, season that's a him
problem because that means he didn't do anything in the off.

Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
SEASON i don't think that's gonna be the. CASE i,
good this kid's gonna work hard and get. There. Wow,
wow watch. This you're und delay for.

Speaker 7 (01:05:30):
Me watch.

Speaker 2 (01:05:31):

well or you just got bored with listening to The.
MARINERS Jp crawford with the second air of the.

Speaker 2 (01:05:40):

Speaker 4 (01:05:42):
Great oh but his bat's doing. Well, wait but he's
A gold Glover. Ian remember he won A Gold. Glove
he's one of the best defensive shortstops in. Baseball, eh not.

Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
REALLY i was like three years.

Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Ago, yeah, Yeah Babe ruth used to be a power.
Hitter now he's now he's. Dead Jack nicholas used to
be a major. Champion now he's. Alive but he's not playing.
Anymore he's no longer, competing all, Right softy joins us.

Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
Next that.

Speaker 7 (01:06:27):
This should Be Eduardo bizardo's walking music here to save the.

Speaker 10 (01:06:32):
Day you, know we call him on our, show by the,
way What? Bizardo we call him the mop comes in
to clean up the mess.

Speaker 7 (01:06:39):
Man he's just a.

Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
Mop do they have a mob for the. Offense, Uh,
nope because they could use.

Speaker 7 (01:06:46):
One, no they don't have a.

Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
Mop you want to talk about a, mess that would be.

Speaker 10 (01:06:49):
They always like think about, that poor. Bastard like you
go to the airport and somebody's like yacked over the, yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:06:55):
And some guys got. It some person's got clean that.

Speaker 2 (01:06:57):
UP i, know which is just.

Speaker 10 (01:06:59):
Horrible you, Know like IF i ever did, THAT i
would feel so. BAD i would offer to stick around
and clean it up, myself would You? MAYBE i don't
think so IF i was late for a, flight, NO

be an intern for The College Baseball. Classic if you
remember that, event we used to have The. Kingdome it

(01:07:21):

brainchild of a guy Named.

Speaker 7 (01:07:26):
God what was his, no he worked for Well Bob

Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
All The goodwill. Games it was his.

Speaker 10 (01:07:34):
Name he worked At Oppenheimer john Somebody garden.

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
For some reason right now it Wasn't John.
