(00:00):
We mentioned KFC running out of chickenor whatever. I think we're all out
of bleeps, so just under thewire, but God forbid we get something
else. Man. I'm uh,everybody's got a potty mouth. And all
of our audio cuts today, ohexcept one right hold on, yeah,

(00:21):
no, every single one but one. Somebody is swearing like a sailor a
sailor, so poor Ross had todub and bleep that. So you know,
if it ain't what you call theshow, just be nice, very
busy, very busy this morning, this after so many amazing videos emerged yesterday

(00:43):
that I didn't even know where tostart, but I think I do because
I was just talking about with Rossand I'm glad because I had a lingering
question. And this is why wedo. This is why we have discussions,
because people can provide perspectives that youdon't think about. Did you all
see the mom? Was he tenor eleven? Of a ten year old

(01:06):
a boy? She's sitting in hercar, you know, filming a rant
video, which is not unusual. That's what people do. They sit in
their car and they film content. And she is she's no pro filming content
because she's she only fans model,so you know, not new to her

(01:30):
now. She's obviously clothed in this, but she's really upset. And she's
upset because I remember that kid Imentioned. Apparently they can cut into your
only fans in time, and shedecides to post this insane video and I
know everyone's screaming, dps all ofthat. Do I worry for the kid's

(01:53):
future? Yeah, I don't knowthat she's being abusive sitting there and ranting
in a video, because I don'tknow how much she's embellished, how much
it's not, but she clearly does. She clearly has an interesting way of
prioritizing things, Okay, And don'tget me wrong, I understand, like,

(02:14):
if that's her only source of income, could be frustrated. You know,
when my mom worked, obviously, you know, because my parents were
split up, she worked, andand we if we cut into that and
she felt it was unnecessary, shewould she'd let us know. I remember
when I when I flipped the littleuh little dirt bike and I broke my

(02:36):
arm. I called her. Icalled her at work first, and she's
like, tell me, and Ididn't. I didn't do a good job
of telling her about it. Andthen I saw one of our friends,
family friends, who looked at myarm and went, oh, my gosh,
is the bone supposed to be protruding? You didn't need to know that.
And then my mom felt horrible. But at first thing she told me

(02:57):
is put some tussin on it,suck it up. I'll be home later.
But I don't know. Let's listento this. I am so,
by the way, why did youedit a wookie into this? What do
you it's it stands on its own. We don't need a wookie edited into

(03:20):
this this woman's video, I amso what if that's the thing, her
her thing that makes her stand outon the only fans? I know that's
niche, But I have to assumeof the folks cruising that website, there's
got to be at least one. It's like, all right, I need
a naked girl who sounds like awookie and then subscribe, you know,

(03:46):
subscribes immediately. That's my theory. All right. Anyway, back to this,
I am so pissy today, justjust downright monson. Oh no,
today, yeah, wow. Ihad to come up here. I had
to come up here eleven o'clock inthe afternoon. That's prime time. When
that's prime time. Okay, she'sdoing at Little Winky Winky. One.

(04:14):
Eleven is not in the afternoon thatI'm that I'm pretty sure of. So
I'm gonna assume she means eleven AMin the morning. How is that prime
time for shitting around pantsils at acomputer? What am I missing here?
What are you all doing during theday? Yeah? No, she's thinking
about it from a streamer's point ofview. So I mean, you've got

(04:36):
to think about the entire globe. So actually eleven o'clock would be peak because
it's sort of like it's evening rightin the UK or in Europe, and
you get half of the United States. It's actually the best time to stream
eleven in the afternoon somewhere around there. Yeah, run noon, Yeah,
eleven in the afternoon. Like pervsfrom the UK who are like lag On

(05:00):
and stuff like that, or likethe naked Wookie with Bulgaria or Germany or
whatever. Yet, yes, thatthey're into. Imagine what the German people
are asking you to do. Idon't want to I'm gonna pass on that
one, okay, all right, all right, So uh see, this
is like I said, this iswhy extra perspectives are good because I didn't
think of that initially. I justassumed, like, I don't want to,
I don't want to walk down tothe sales department. Yeah no,

(05:21):
No, it's not like everybody wherevershe's broadcasting from. It's the whole planet.
So all right, she's a PERVfor the entire world. Oh good
for her, Yes, yes,but I mean I mean if you're a
fan that pays. Yeah, Iwas just gonna say, well, and
and the problem she ran into isthat everyone's you know, like started dosing

(05:42):
all of her stuff, but ornot dogs, they were just putting it
out there. I heard on Twitterthat on several threads. Yeah, because
it's a Europe makes sense, right, You're not, She's not. She's
not doing it to time out inmirror, Mark Miramar, you know what
I'm saying? Or uh, formerBurma right, so you gotta be core.
I would assume those are your pocketsof money US obviously, and UK

(06:06):
and western Western Europe and uh theJapanese Chinese market has to be big too,
man, So yeah, no,that makes sense. I'm sorry.
Anyway, what were you saying, young lady? If you know what I
mean, we do know what theman is So that's partly why I'm cranky.

(06:27):
But I'm cranky because my child,My child is ten. I had
to come up to the school andI had to pick him up. Why
why did I have to pick thiskid up? I had to pick this
kid up because he's a man.Okay, he's a little man, and
he's got a weak as stomach likemost men do. Huh. So somebody
busted ass in the library. Hethrew up not one time, not two
times, but three. I ateRocky Mountain oysters from I uh, all

(06:48):
my life, so don't even tellme about having oh stomach. Now,
to be fair, I'm probably youprobably not who I should be going to
battle with over putting something like thatin their mouth. But I just,
you know, don't give me thatcrap. So you got a kid,
I know, if you know, sometimes kids get sick. I don't have
kids. That's why I'm great atthis. I know that inherent I just

(07:10):
inherently know that. So your kidgot sick times in the library. Literally,
the nurse calls and she's like, you're gonna have to come pick up
here shown ray cop taters vahmadad threetimes and the library like that is that
concerning three? Is it like oneafter another where it's all kind of considered
part of the same. It wasit three different incidents. We know what

(07:32):
the kickoff incident was, but isthat concerning from a parent standpoint? Apparently
it was for the school because he'syou know, covering everything up. But
yeah, so they called you andlike, hey, your kids doing this,
even though the reason stated by thechild was that his friend broke win.

(07:57):
I'm not going to play the restof her insanity, but and that's
a prompt. So she goes onthis tirade about having to go snatch her
kid up from there because it's primetime. And again, do I think
the family services people are overreacting?Probably a little. Now. I know
there's some people think, hey,if you have kids in the house and
you work in any of that, then anything having to do with that industry,

(08:22):
then you shouldn't have kids. AndI think I recognize that that opinions
out there. I don't know ifthat necessarily works, however, I don't
like, I don't know if shecalculated that it would go viral to the
point where she it would financially help. And you know what, it probably

(08:46):
has about a bunch of people sittingaround their desk eleven am in the afternoon
googling this chick's name trying to figureit out. Oh, no, she's
going to profit from this, that'swhat. That's the part that really chaps
people's behind. Yeah. I thinkI'm guessing that her entire delivery in the
video is for that reason, eventhe wookie, I think the entire Yeah,

(09:09):
the the entire delivery. It's becauseshe's thinking it's going to profit her
or you know, she's she's makinga video for her audience who was used
to seeing her a certain way.So she's posting it right to be like,
hey, this is why I'm notbeing a whore on the internet today
for you guys. Oh that's fair. And that shirt doesn't look like a
shirt you would walk into your kids'school and am I Am I off here?

(09:31):
Although maybe I don't know. Idon't know. So some of the
kids walk around school and so whatdo you do? All right? So
that's that's just that's just getting itstarted this morning. We got so much
more to get to and it willcommence coming up here on the KCO Day
radio program as the mayor down inAthens Clark County, Georgia Mayor Kelly Gertz

(09:52):
is his name. He was updatingfolks on the the murder of the twenty
two year old nursing students, theapprehension of a twenty six year old illegal
immigrant from Venezuela, who, aswe documented, had had multiple encounters a

(10:13):
variety of places, not the leastof which was being arrested after entering the
country illegally and making his way toNew York. Caught some charges there,
a bench created, a bench warrant, went down to Georgia, caught some
charges there, was literally arrested onwarrants each and every time. The departments

(10:33):
didn't wait for the detainer request orhonor it. So I don't even I
don't even know if they look athim anymore with some of these policies,
and he just kept doing what hewas doing, and according to authorities,
that culminated when he when he sawthis woman on the walking trail. I'm

(10:54):
sure there's more backstory we're going tolearn here on what the allegations and the
you know, the timeline, butthen reportedly drug her into the woods and
savagely assaulted her, not just withhis own body, but with objects and
then smashed her skull in. It'sreally grewsome stuff. And so that's what

(11:20):
this mayor is having to do apress conference on. Although I did see
the New York Post they ran aheadline they were getting just toasted for yesterday
or they were saying that he mighthave killed her because he she started struggling
and it might have spooked him.It really was a bad headline. And
when they were trying to get atI have no idea. I mean,

(11:43):
inherently I would have said, look, if your business is violent assaults,
I think you know going into itthat the person your victim might put up
a fight. But that's another thing. So that you know, a lot
of people found that insensitive. Well, then the mayor held his press conference,

(12:05):
and I want you to I'm tolisten to this room of his own
constituents. Right, this is thisis these are the voters. As he
starts, Mayor e splaining, Iguess is what we're gonna call it.
Just just listen to this insanity.Liar, you a lawyer, your guilty

(12:28):
and all right. That is thepublic reacting to this, Uh, this
odd take. The mayor attempting togive the most recent updates in the case,
and you heard several protesters interrupt theevent. But in the in the
comments, he's just like he said, am I gonna read all of it?

(13:00):
Here? He goes, He says, I want to say that we
center our work here in Athens ClarkCounty on people's humanity, and part of
everybody's humanity is the expectation of humandignity. And that was a quote that
he that this mayor is referring to, and what he was referencing as a
resolution that he and his cohorts passedduring Donald Trump's presidency but blamed Trump for

(13:26):
tensions between American citizens and illegal immigrants. So for him to lean into that
literally lean into, you know,a resolution. And this is why I
told you because you saw this stuffpast during Trump and where you have these
these bodies, elected bodies at alocal level, past these stupid resolutions that

(13:50):
had you know, there's there's noteeth to any of it. Well,
the difference is here he found theteeth, and the teeth was to literally
go back to this very political thingthat they passed so that they could crap
on a president they don't like, and that irritated some of the constituents there
and then you and then you bringit up at a press conference where people

(14:11):
want to know, what the hellare you going to do so that if
this doesn't happen again? And Ilook, is that reactionary to the point
where a single mayor can't stop allcrime? Yes? But what this guy
doesn't understand is your attitude has shownthat you are You're fine with many of
the things that got us here today, right, mayorc Is and Biden going

(14:37):
in and immediately undoing ninety some immigrationrelated things that the Trump administration had done.
And then everyone just goes, oh, well, the one thing was
going away because COVID, Well whatabout the other ninety seven? Right?
Or we're a welcoming city and thenpeople show up. I'm like, oh,
we're not like that, right?Come on? Man? I figure

(15:01):
like W R. E. Land like the McClatchy folks that just ignored
this, which in and of itselfwould have been hypocritical, but actually leaned
in it. So I'm not goingto give the specifics much energy. Uh,
But I do think it's interesting inthe current political climate when a dude

(15:26):
went to jail for seven months forsharing a Hillary Clinton meme which was about
you know, voting which looked tobe parody or when to vote look to
be parody, and mirrored to abunch of other stuff. But I was
told that that was election interference.I don't know how this isn't if if

(15:50):
that's your definition. So some somemoonbats leftists to say, hey, let's
create a viral comedic campaign attacking MarkRobinson. So that's you know, they

(16:10):
threw it up out there and gotbillboards, got a website, and they
have they have a play on hisname, which instead of Robinson, it's
Rottenson, right, And that's Look, if you if they want to go
at whatever, you know, doyour thing. But the the energy of
it would make if the casual observerperhaps think that there's another candidate. But

(16:36):
more so than that, some ofthe quotes they use are not quotes from
him. And look, there's alot of Mark Robinson quotes, even if
you want to trim the context outthat I've seen people go after him used.
But some of these are just straightup made up. And I guess
my question is for ahead. Thisheadline from w r e O Mark Rottenson

(16:57):
website uses controversial techniques to lampoon GOPcandidates. No, no, no,
no no. Is it controversial techniquesor is it literally arguably worse than the
one off Hillary Clinton meme, becauseI feel like it is because you're ascribing
to him a bunch of stuff hedidn't say, But also you might be

(17:19):
causing confusion in the mind of thevoters, So hell if I do.
It's just getting so nasty out there, even in the primaries, man,
but just in general at that atime when I'm here and everyone go,
we have to save democracy, wehave to save decency, and apparently the

(17:41):
only way to accomplish that is tobe as undemocratic and as undecent as you
could possibly muster. And I guessat least that's across the political aisle.
Even some of the primary stuff's gettingsuper nasty. You have, uh,

(18:03):
whether you have buck Out and Smith, the emails I get are just insane
on that stuff. Did you seethe Mark Walker AI stuff? Yes?
Yes, the yes? I meanhow immediate was that? Do you remember
when your fear like, oh,you know, in the future you have,
But I listened to the ice. It's such it's bad audio Like,

(18:26):
it doesn't to me anyway, becausethat we've talked to Mark so much.
Yeah, but I don't think itsounds like him, right, because we've
talked to Mark so much over theyear, right, right, Perhaps I
guess the average person when you wouldn'tknow. Maybe, But like I listened
to that, I'm like, itsounds like a really bad Mark Walker impression,
right, But it doesn't. Butit's not presented as one. I
think maybe that's what like it Ifit is that in the way that people

(18:51):
were putting it out, like youshould, it should one hundred percent say
this. We think this is funnyparody of him, right right. It
doesn't come across as it's trying tobe a parody. It's coming across as
like this is real phone call audioor whatever. Right, Yeah. And
if you don't know, well Iwas going to get into that a little
later, and you could I waskind of teeing up for it. Well,

(19:14):
yeah, we'll get into the detail. I want to finish this,
but we'll get into the details ofthat here. But yeah, I mean
it's just like the standard that theyuse is a reasonable person and that's not
just a sanity judgment call, likewe wouldn't be a reasonable person in whether
we recognize the voice of a longtimepolitician in North Carolina because we interact with

(19:41):
them on a much more frequent basis, except for a certain senator who haunts
your children's dreams. But but eventhat, I could pick out his voice.
And I know, maybe it's justinherent what we do. Somebody just
strolling on Twitter who's you know, doesn't really pay attention until maybe the week
of the election. I don't Idon't know they beat that. I think
that there are people who would think, no, that's that's the thing that

(20:03):
happened. So that's where we getdicey on this, and and then to
see this thing which sounds far moreinjurious, potentially injurious, that these individuals
are doing, which again I don'thave I don't have a problem with lampooing
politicians. Man, I'm here forit. I love it. But the

(20:27):
difference is here is the people whowere like, oh, not a big
deal, screamed bloody murder and literallygot a dude thrown in jail for seven
months for a meme because that wasa bridge too far. And what I
won't suffer is hypocrisy on that front. Either it's okay or it's not.

(20:52):
Okay, and you need to havea set set of standards why and if
you are representing somebody to have saidsomething thing and you know it to be
false, because today I am mockedup not very well, I might add,
as Ross pointed out, if ifif that's the case, and uh,

(21:14):
you do with full knowledge too,or you were making up quotes right
wholesale it you know what it is. It's the Sarah Palin thing. Again,
I can see Russia. She neversaid that. Tina Face said that.
She was talking about the fact thatif you are standing in part of
Alaska you can see Russia. Notin Wasilla, but uh, you get

(21:40):
out in the Ileutian Island chains uhbig big Diami, little dimy boom,
you're staring at Russia. Check itout on a map. Check but work.
And she was just talking about howthey, you know, we share
it. She shares it, sharesa border with Russia. Think about it.
It's the only it's the only USstate that shares a border with a

(22:07):
country outside of our own hemisphere orour own yeah, our own hemisphere.
Like that's what she was talking about. But the other quote was much funnier,
and it was snl and it wasthe one that people used. And
so if you're going to ascribe thingstoo candidates as having said them, where

(22:27):
is that line? And I don'tnecessarily I don't know. I tend to
have a pretty wide view on thisstuff. But as soon as you start
throwing people in jail for memes,or going up and trying to get a
black forklift driver fired for a videoand then docks him and have Facebook help

(22:48):
you dox him, and everything that'sgoing on with the attack of the political
enemies, you see how mad everyoneis that the Supreme Court is actually going
to hear the the Trump issue onwhether whether he has the protection of the
office or doesn't have it when itcomes to what they say was election interference,

(23:14):
trying to steal the election. Ijust if those are your standards,
then I don't know how you justsay this is controversial. You should be
screaming bloody murder. It's also dumb. All right, I'll figure out on
the Mark Walker thing too. Let'sdo this, Let's hit our break,
We'll be back. CaCO Day Radioprogram CaCO Day Radio programs. We got
into a whole discussion. There's lotsof different examples, but it's coming at

(23:45):
us faster than I think a lotof people thought it would, and it
will only get better. I knowthat's cliche to say, but it's true.
It's just, you know, it'sjust inherently how technology works. AI
generated content from even a year agois clearly distinguishable side by side stuff generated

(24:08):
now, and not just with theGemini stuff we're making fun of, but
I mean the actual Hey, let'slet's put this person, especially the the
whole issue with the AI pornography, right, it's so convincing that people might
think that that Hollywood starlet or I'veseen it done to political pundits, you

(24:32):
know, that may be an actualvideo. So when you get when it
when it starts entering into whether itis through the use of AI or just
through the expenditure of a crap tonof money, and it is being put
out there in an effort to aidor harm a candidate, even if the
candidate themselves didn't. And I'm makingthe air quotes because you know, the

(24:57):
whole packs can't qu coordinate with candidates. Thing if if if you don't think
that that's being done with you know, just a little bit of disconnect,
then you don't know nothing there's areason that candidates will literally they'll film a

(25:21):
bunch of b roll stuff, right, So it's then with their family,
they're they're helping an old lady acrossthe street. Oh look, I rescued
a cat. Whatever, And thenthey'll send it over there and there's a
clear narrative with a lot of thisstuff, and then the packs will use
it to package ads on issues onbehalf of candidates. Did they coordinate?

(25:42):
We'll let you be the judge onthat. So I see this yesterday and
there's video, and yes, isdoes it look like it's well done?
No? That being said in it? Reportedly? Well, I got to

(26:03):
turn on there. Here we go. In it, you see the Mark
Walker in his video of something hedid. He's sitting in his car right
because we're films videos now, andFrank, I remember what he was talking
about in the original video. Butactually, hang on, I think he

(26:25):
was talking about Yeah, he wastalking about the incident down in Georgia.
And so then what happens is thisorganization First Freedom's Foundation, So they're a
First Amendment pack I guess. Andin it they run audio next to the
video and it makes it and it'smade to sound like Walker's claiming to be

(26:51):
in over his head. He lies, ragging about lying to people, and
then he feels that one of hisprimary opponents will win because he is more
qualified. Now, look that wasreal audio you captured of a candidate going
ah, oh man, this isI don't know what I'm gonna do.

(27:11):
I you know, crazy is theguy I'm running against. He's much more
qualified. Like, if that wasreal, that's campaign ending stuff, right
that lets donors know you're not serious. That's and so I sit here and
I don't see it presented. I'mstaring at the tweet from the organization where

(27:37):
the video was put out, andin it it's now deleted the tweet,
but I have a screenshot here.In the tweet, it says the truth
was revealed by a previous Walker supporterwho got this voicemail that Walker is in
over his head and feels Christian Castelliwill win because he is more qualified.

(28:02):
So the way that it's present andthen hashtag truth matters. So the way
that it's presented is it's it's it'stelling the person who who views it that
the audio isn't going to line upwith that video, right, It's not
it's it's it's provides that dividing line. So any doubts you may have had
where you're sitting there and you're you'reseeing the video go with the audio doesn't

(28:22):
line up. If you read thebody of the post, it tells you
that this is a voicemail that asupporter got and then felt bad about I
guess, and then shared and andthat's why they're running. So yeah,
an effort is being made to deflectfrom any visual problems. So I don't

(28:45):
know how you argue that that's parodyor lampooning or quote controversial techniques. That's
from the w R a L headlineand the Mark Robinson stuff, and I
don't I don't know that anyone wantto be held accountable, but that's what

(29:10):
it. I'm not going to playit because again I gave you an accro
rendition of what it was, andit's out there. You want to go
hashtag and see poll, you'll findit. But I don't know. And
then I saw people accusing Mark ofdoing it to create controversy, so you

(29:33):
know, like forty chess stuff. So everyone's just out of their damn minds.
That's the only that's the only conclusionI can come to on this stuff.
But yeah, now that I nowthat I see the folks who are
most irritated about this and demanding jailtime for me making all of a sudden
start referring to these things as controversialtechniques? Is is re really rich to

(30:00):
me? All right? Eight eighteight nine three four seven eight seven four
eight eight eight nine three four seveneight seven four Because you know, sometimes
people, I says, sometimes thestuff is clearly for entertainment. What was
the example we're talking about off theoh, the Alex Jones thing, right,
I don't think it's it injures ordoesn't injure Alex Jones that somebody did

(30:25):
an AI of him reading Lord ofthe Rings right, Well, yeah,
especially when you sell it as,hey, this is AI of Elex Jones
doing Lord of the Rings right right. But even if you said it was
him, I don't know that itwould change people's opinion on him, Do
you know what I'm saying? Becauseit's it's Alex Jones. Like the stuff
we have in the computer is amazing. Here is by the way, if
you haven't heard it, here isAlex Jones reading Lord of the Rings AI

(30:48):
style or an AI doing it Hi, Alex Jones. Here we find ourselves
in the Shires. A crossfaited Samwise Gamgi has stumbled his way to bag
end. Sam takes a swan diveinto a flower bed as a relax play,
but then discovers that the birthday boyBilbo Baggins isn't alone. Gandalf,
the gray who hates globalists, isinside the Hobbit hole. Suddenly Gandalf notices
Sam in a huge way. Whenthe Wizard accuses the young Hobbit of eavesdropping,

(31:12):
Sam, still sufficiently trashed from theparty, replies, I ain't been
dropping no eves, sir, honest. Now let's just take a pause here.
Unrelated to the story, I can'tstand these demon vampires running the country.
All right, good morning everybody. It is seven oh six here on
the Cacoday radio program. Yeah, test to see if it's AI. It's

(31:37):
like Mark Walker's calling the show rightnow. His ears were his ears were
buzzing or tingling or whatever that's sayingis ross? Did do we know if
that's AI or is it Mark?Do we have ask it to create an
image of a white family and ifhe refuses, hang up on him.
Okay, because it's Google Gemini. All right, no, anyway, all

(31:59):
right, I'm just talking about thisMark, how you doing this morning?
If it is you, what's up? Well? I was going to tell
you'se a deep sake voice, butit kind of sounds a little bit like
me on anyway, So I don'tknow how that would translate on radio without
the video. We're doing great, hope you and Ross are doing wonderful.
Uh yeah, but you know, also people are making we're are I don't

(32:20):
know. We don't know if it'sAI generated or somebody who's doing a bad
impersonation of you. But what isclear to me is that if you read
the body of the tweet, itis clearly one presented in a way that
it is you. But also itprovides cover for anyone who would notice that
your lips don't jive with the voice, because you would say, oh,

(32:44):
well that's a voicemailer plane And they'rejust using a picture of Mark's video to
remind me what he looks like. How's that working out for you? The
hell's going on? Yeah? Well, you know this started a couple of
months ago. The first ones werea little bit more middle school, if

(33:04):
you will, they had pictures andvideos of Jim and Tammy say Baker,
and they would have my wife andmyself, you know, where it was
actually Jim and Tammy Fay talking aboutthe infidelity, but would have our names
underneath it. And I did reachout to the opponent that said, look,
as an opponent, I'm fair game. Do what you got to do,
but it's usually taboo to bring thewife or family into these kinds of

(33:25):
things. So that kind of wentaway, and then it started building back
up, and then a couple ofdays ago was what kind of shocked us.
All. There's two of them. There's one that you're referencing, and
then there's another one where they putthe caption over my lips where it looks
a little bit more authentic, Iguess if you will. But it's a

(33:45):
different day. It's a different daythat you're seeing now people doing these kinds
of things. Well, and youknow, the web or the account to
put it up is identified as afirst was the first Amendment pack. So
I mean candidates can't coordinate with packs, right, they cannot? That is

(34:08):
that is against yes, So I'massuming your opponent said I had nothing to
do with this, and well, the question is if they didn't have anything
to do with it and it's notprovable, I mean, the question becomes
is is how closely do you thinkcandidates do coordinate? And I gave an

(34:32):
example earlier of like the b rollstuff. Because it's not your first rodeo.
You served in Congress for what threeterms? Right, you said you've
been surrounded by the swamp? Doesit happen? Does it not happen?
And if it is, how doesit happen? Okay, well you give
us a little behind the scenes here. Okay, So you have for for

(34:53):
federal campaigns and campaigns that are onnational level, sometimes maybe state, but
on the federal level, where you'retalking about a great deal of money,
sometimes millions of dollars, sometimes tensof millions of dollars. There's what they
call a firewall between that's supposed tobe built between the campaign and whatever pack
might be supporting. You could bemultiple packs. There's not to be any

(35:15):
coordination for exactly. The candidate cannotcall and say, look, I saw
this direct mail piece that you putout on me, could you say it
this way? Or how much areyou spending on this? That's illegal?
Sometimes from what I understand, andguys have talked to I think there's a
little bit of layover there as faras helping the guide exactly how that money
might be spent, whether it's attackingopponent or whether it's a piece that's promoting

(35:39):
your campaign or your background or yourrecord. It does happened a lot.
I think where the investigation is now, I think they're really looking into this
for the first time. Two nameshave surface that have contributed to this one
opponent's campaign that are actually connected withit. So it kind of makes you
wonder, is there more to thestory here without having the full evidence yet,

(36:02):
we're kind of remaining its focused onwhere we need to be, which
is winning this seat and going inand fighting to secure the border, which
is the number one thing in thecountry right now. That's so so this
was designed to be a distraction. We're gonna We're gonna let the stories and
the legal and the people that explorethe legal options that are necessary. We're
gonna try to stay focused on whatwe're doing here in central North Carolina.

(36:25):
The example that I gave earlier waslet's say that you wanted ads, you
wanted packs to run ads about theborder you mentioned the border, let's just
go with the border. And ifyour campaign went and shot a bunch of
b roll of you walking along theborder, shaking hands with border patrol guards,
you know all of that, andthen you send that out right,

(36:47):
here's stuff you can use or makeavailable on your website, as candidates do,
and then the packs pick it upbecause you know, wink wink,
nod, nod, that's where Itime to see this stuff, because I
see the b roll stuff that peoplepost, and then all of a sudden,
it's a commercial for a pack friendlyto a candidate, and that in
and of itself sounds like it's definitelynot within the spirit of what was hoping

(37:12):
to be prevented, not within thespirit, but that's exactly what they do
to be able to. The campaignputs out something and then the pack simply
says, well, we didn't wedidn't coordinate with him. This was in
the public domain, so we justgrabbed it from there. But the average
person or maybe even the train diewhen you see that, it does not

(37:34):
register on you that this is comingfrom a pack. That's why it's very
small print. You actually think thisis the campaign sending it out, which
is what the what the pack istrying to make it look like at the
end of the day. Okay, what if you say that they're investigating this.
I was given some other examples withthe Mark Rottenson thing. Are you
familiar with the Mark Robinson parody?I have not seen that, Okay,

(37:59):
but it's got billboards and a reallynice website, and in it they're attributing
quotes of Marx, generally out ofconduct or out of context, but quotes.
And then there's other quotes that attributedto him that are not quotes of
his and it's under their saying,it's under the spirit of lampooning. And
I'm reminded of the Sarah Pale andTina Fey thing with I can see Russia,

(38:20):
Yes, and it's a powerful tool. And I see the very same
media that applauded when a dude gotseven months in prison for sending a meme
out, referring to it as controversialtechniques. So like, even in the
evaluation of this, and so myquestion to you as a candidate, should
people be able to lampoon you?And where is the line on that the

(38:45):
truth? The truth is yes, yes, they should be able to lampoon
candidates, members of Congress, electedofficials. I know that made the brides
people. I think that's part ofyour first the first Amendment, because your
your freedom is spach. It's alwaysbeen look at some of the lampooning,
if you will, in the earlycartoons or or founding Fathers and some of

(39:07):
the things back then, that wasjust part of it. I think it
crosses the line with a technology whereyou think you're watching a candidate actually say
these words. I think it's inthe law in this AI is early on,
but they've already addressed it some that'swhere you have some legal issues and
it crosses the line. And Ithink that's the difference. But as far

(39:29):
as being fair game, man, when you sign up for this, you
better put your big pants on becausethis is part of it and it should
be. That's one of the waysthat people can hold their elected officials accountable.
Yeah, but it's only going toget worse, right, So even
if that was somebody who it wasn'ta computer generated voice. It was just
somebody doing an impression right of youor any candidate for that matter. Eventually,

(39:53):
and we're actually here now, Imean, we're to the point where
if I wanted to, if Iwanted to make you say something, and
and I had access to AI todo it, it wouldn't be that hard.
You don't have to be a graphicdesigner, so you could, I
guess you could argue that the lawsthey're currently in place, it's about enforcement,
right, That's really like, that'sthat's how it breaks down on so

(40:15):
many issues in society. You don'tthink there needs to be more laws,
is what I'm asking. No,no, no, no, I don't
think so. I enforce what wehave. There's some very clear, strong
language I think it came out intwenty twenty dealing with these kinds of things
that if you do this then thenthat's it's a federal violation of the law.

(40:36):
Yeah, I don't I'm not advocatingfor any additional law. I'm not
whining about it. It is whatit is. We're going to share,
as we have on our social media, exactly what some of these packs are
trying to do. In fact, they spent over one point one I think
one now closing in a one pointone and a half million dollars just attacking
that's right here in the triad, which you know that's a design that you're

(40:59):
that you're not wanted by these DCsuperpacks that should be part of the process.
And so we're we're we're holding heron and but yeah, as far
as additional lulls, no, let'slet's let's fight this thing out. Let's
keep moving, Okay, and thankyou for calling this morning, because now
Ross can cut up all your voicestuff. And wait till you hear what
you're gonna say later, Mark,it'll be crazy. Well we're still saying

(41:19):
it. We're still checking to seeif his name surfaces, because I know
where he is on this AI stepand I think he's pretty in depth on
it. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, Oh
thanks thanks for calling in on this, Mark, appreciate him. All right,
kaye bye bye? All right, there you go. Uh so,
yeah, everything's just h we gotday, we got, you know,
a week to go primary and thenthe whole general. Yeah, buckle in

(41:43):
kids seven sixteen to hang on.And in the few short minutes there of
our break, I think I solvedthese you know, I try to be
a problem solver. It's what wedo here on the show. I think
rather than campaigns, uh naked mefights for office, but not both of

(42:04):
them. One skin's one shirts. They can flip a coin or something,
and then we just solve all ourproblems, because holy crap, did you
see this? Where's the police? You defunded him? Still, this is
what you do with our hero Vernusboor Walls, right. Yeah, Although

(42:31):
admittedly that's a little different than someof the videos I've seen from what Venice
Beach has turned into. In thevideo, you see what do you think
naked shit goes one hundred pounds?Maybe I can't. She's she's much shorter
than her opponent, very very skinny. I'd like to know what her diet

(42:52):
is, although I can guess, and it's you know, methy. So
anyway, she is stark naked andanother woman who is easily twice her size.
The video shows them in where thebattle has begun, and what's crazy

(43:15):
is the woman with clothes on.It appears that she has like an old
mace in her hand, which isI don't Maybe that's preferred because of how
California is falcon sealk carry. Maybepeople have to get maces. I don't
know. But what's even crazier, like a moment later then they both have

(43:37):
maces and even though you think there'sno way crazy naked chick is winning this
thing. All of a sudden, the tables get turned and now she's dual
wielding the maces. Because it lookslike the other one, I just throws
the thing at her, and again, I don't know if they're maces or
a stick with barbed wire on theend. It's hard to tell. But

(43:57):
didn't see that coming. And areminder at discount the the super almost superhuman
power of crazy, because boy,the tables turned real quick on that one.
But you know that'd be far moreentertaining than all all this campaign stuff

(44:19):
that that we that we talk about. Well, the videos blurred so and
some of you might, I guessmaybe that makes you disappointed, but you
gotta watch it. And so tweetthat out at Casey on on the radio,
on the on the Twitter there,Ross, are you like me?

(44:40):
You thought there's no way the nakedchicks winning when he first started that because
she looked down. She looked downfor the count. Man. Yeah,
I didn't have her winning that dualwheel twenty pounds? Man, what's that?
She's like twenty pounds? Yeah, that's what I'm saying, Like she's
one hundred pounds. I'd be surp. I did not see that outcome.

(45:01):
But it's California, man, andthey, you know, the Florida of
the West, for stuff like thisarguably their own fault. So there it
was yesterday at the lake. Iwas just relax and I know, I
was trying to, you know, relax a little bit and decompress. And
you will not believe what came outof the lake. A medieval mace.

(45:23):
Oh my gosh. Yeah. Iposted the comment on your uh yeah,
yeah, on your tweet yesterday onthe Twitter. So there it is in
the grass. Yeah, that's weirdbecause that's like you found, like you
had three when you get three swordsalready and now a mace. Right,
And some people are saying is becauseI'm the chosen one and I listened it
was windy, so you never knowwhat's going to come out of the lake.

(45:43):
Yeah, that's not really how thatworks. But I mean sometimes it
is dangerous. Got ice on lake, so that can get thrown on the
shore. And then there's this Ican't remember that the term is, but
when the water temperature literally turns overin lakes. You see it more up
in the north when they where theyfreeze. But I've never seen metallic objects
rise. It's usually just you know, weeds and stuff. So good for

(46:06):
you, man. I did seeone comment on it where they were trying
to like, is that the Germanicmace? Or it's too small? So
uh do you know? Uh?Y, I looked at a lake mace.
Oh it's an enchanted lake mace. All right, Well, what are
you gonna do? Is h what'sit imbued with? Is it fire?

(46:29):
Supreme supreme executive power? Oh that'sokay. That's not a class in the
Diablo game, but apparently it isin real life. But yeah, I
go see all that insanity. Wehave it for you at Casey on the
Radio Aco DA radio program. Rememberthe Wendy's story, we talked about where

(46:51):
the CEO of Wendy's, he's ona call with investors, and he was
talking about new digital boards that wouldallow essentially price adjustments during peak times,
right surge pricing as most people referto it. And I'm mincing words a

(47:13):
little because wait to hear their update. And we talked about it, and
all of the internet did and everybody, even Jeff gave us some flavor from
other radio stations he does business reportson, and it was not being well
received there either. Even though alot of industries use surge pricing ride sharing

(47:38):
services, hotels, airlines, tickets, well, that's not what they meant,
according to Wendy's No. In fact, they said, first off,
they didn't say surge pricing, andthat's I guess technically true. They referred

(47:58):
to it as dynamic pricing, butthen went on to use an example that
is surge pricing. Whether you callit dynamic pricing, it doesn't matter,
it's what happens. Then the examplethat was used by the CEO to this,

(48:19):
here we go to highlight how theexperiment would work. Tanner that's his
last name, suggested the price ofan item could go up by as much
as a dollar during peak lunch anddinner hours and have the increase reflected in
the digital menus the company will useto constantly update the exact cost. That
is literally what was explained to investors. So whether they call it serge or

(48:42):
dynamic is fine. But then they'relike, nah, we didn't mean that.
What we meant is it will allowus to let's see here, here
we go. The clarification issue fromWendy said One, they never used the
term surge pricing. Two they saythe new menu boards will make price changes
on the fly possible, and thatthey only ever plan to use this feature

(49:07):
for deals or discounts. So ifon you know, tomorrow's the first day
of March, right, so ifthey have a if Wendy's going to do
a special where they're you know, their number one is a dollar off for
the month of March or whatever, you know, whatever the special is,

(49:28):
rather than an employee having to goand I guess make the changes. We're
using the little letters or what youknow, the little slide things they have
for their menu boards. Uh,it could just float. Somebody just push
a button at each Q and allthe Wendy's menus will update. And he
says that because he thinks we're stupid. The fact is you put it out

(49:50):
there man. In the same way, remember BMW floated the subscription model for
things like heated seats, and withthe you know, the way that was
going to work was BMW was theyrather than not. You know, if
you go to buy a new BMWand you opt for the trim package that
has the heated seats, then yourcar would be built out with it,

(50:13):
and if you didn't, then theywouldn't put it on there and you wouldn't
have to pay for whatever that costis. BMW said what they wanted to
do is they basically wanted to includethese features, these premium options features,
so heated or cooled seats, theyhave a cruise control, proprietary cruise control

(50:34):
on BMW's a couple other things. And if at any point the consumer who
owned the car, or perhaps theperson who bought the car next time,
wanted to turn them on, theycould pay a monthly subscription price and that
went over like a lead balloon. So you know, don't act like you
didn't put it out there, dude, because the example that you used was

(50:58):
not a deal. It was yousaying, if we wanted an item to
be as much as one dollar upduring peak lunch or dinner hours, then
we could constantly update the exact cost. You're just reacting to the fact that
people went this sucks, and lookwho didn't tell you it sucks. This
is a room full of investors becausethey're probably thinking this will make us more

(51:23):
money, right, so that's Iunderstand their motivation, but own it.
That's all you know, that's allI want, just own it. But
again now they're saying, now,no, no, it wasn't that,
it was this other thing, andit just allows us to implement deals faster.
So if you're buying that, fine, But that is the official clarification

(51:45):
from Wendy's on on that story thatwe did. All right, eight eight
eight nine three four seven eight sevenfour. We'll be chatting with Steven Kent
coming up here at eight oh five. We got a lot of stuff to
get into with him. But Ido want to touch on the Miami Heralds

(52:12):
who did no research. And whenI say no research, I don't mean
they didn't check in with like otherparts of the country. I mean like
they obviously they they don't even havea clear view on what happens within their
own state. They just let thewope take over man and so they wrote
that possibly the dumbest op ed youcould, you could muster out of Miami,

(52:34):
because of course, they wanted tomake it a big racial issue rather
than recognizing how spring break is handlednot just in South Beach, not just
whatever has them butt hurt, butliterally the other communities, including those in
Florida. Redneck Riviera looking at you, which already do the things that the

(52:57):
city of Miami, Miami Beach,I should say, is plan on doing.
But if you, you know,if you can turn it into a
really divisive issue, then by byall means, go with that absolutely.
And speaking of the woke stuff, interesting little something from Duke's medical school and
some videos that I previously it lookslike they were quite proud of, which

(53:22):
have now been memory hold. Andthis was part of a larger thread and
and a series of stories that wasdone by Daily Wire and Ben Shapiro,
and it it went, they wentout and they didn't have to look very
hard because again this stuff was literallyposted on their websites. In many instances,

(53:45):
are decisions medical decisions being made basedon what is best for the patient
or are they being made for otherreasons? And if they are being made
for other reasons, what are theyand what impact will that have on patient

(54:05):
care? Those are legitimate? Thoseare I think those are legitimate questions,
especially when you have people on therecord, and we'll play some audio coming
up here in the next segment. You have people on the record explaining why
they're making certain choices. And itwas Duke Duke. And then Wake Forest.
You had the student at wake Forestwho joked, they said they were

(54:27):
joking about missing a vein intentionally oraccidentally air quotes because they became irritated with
the politics of a particular patient. So you're talking about, you know,
jabbing a needle into somebody and doingit. And I look, I notoriously

(54:49):
when I've had to get ivs orthings, I've they've had to in some
cases if they couldn't find the veinand I and if the deep veins or
whatever you want to call it,I've literally had to have them go in
on the top of the hand withsomething called like a butterfly or whatever.
I do not recommend them at all, ever, ever, ever, So

(55:13):
I don't necessarily I'm not necessarily botheredby needles, but it sucks. And
so that was a That was justone example. That's the wake Forest one.
Wait till you hear the Duke one. But first we're gonna hear from
raced Agent with the Weather Channel. He tries to dig himself out of whatever
this is this morning. Yeah, well it's big changes. Looking at a

(55:38):
couple of things in terms of numbers. Temperature drops in twenty four hours,
like twenty five to thirty degrees andtwenty four hours ago, so we all
knew what was coming. We're justkind of like shocked when it finally gets
here. Low mid thirties for mostof us this morning. There are some
forty degree tempts in around the triangleright now at the airport's thirty seven forty

(55:58):
down and done down near Hartnett CountyAirport, mid corn of the west.
And the bottom line is it's notgonna stick around. This has been really
what's been happening all winter. Weget these little cold shots, they stick
around briefly, then they go away. So as we go through today,
some clouds. I'm a little disappointedin the sunshine fourcass. I thought there'd

(56:19):
be more sun. There will be, but it won't be as much as
I was thinking yesterday. Well aloa to mid fifties should do it.
Yeah, I know, So itwon't be bright and sunny. The good
news is there's not much wind left. We've got a little rain tomorrow,
but I think it's going to belater in the day, mid to late
afternoon from west to east and aneast breeze. It's going to keep us
in the low fifties, and thenthat rain should end by about midday Saturday,

(56:39):
better afternoon, milder. We're quicklyback to the low to mid sixties
and near seventy by Sunday and somelow seventies early next week. So not
back casey though again a lot oftimes when you get these strong cold fronts
coming in, you know this winter, basically what's happening is happening again,

(57:00):
sticks around a couple of days, and it goes away. And that's basically
what's happening. And we'll be backto some better weather but little rain to
end our week later tomorrow. ButI think seventy five percent of tomorrow is
probably dry and most of the weekendis dry and much milder. All Right,
Can I and I switch gears justreal quick? Something much more impactful
in our lives? Yep? Didyou see the crazy mace fight with the

(57:21):
two ladies, one of them nakedout in California? I did not see
that. It's on the Twitter. You should see it. Oh yeah,
I don't want to spoil it foryou, but there's a big there's a
Shamalan and twist in that thing.Man, you think it's going one way,
and then it goes the other andthe one on our Twitter's blurred,
so they all right, let usknow what you think. So all right,

(57:44):
thanks man. Okay, there yougo very stage at Cough to brighten
his day, and I would encourageyou all to do the same because it
is hi hilarious and thankfully happening allthe way over there. So you got
that, Okay, all right? So these videos would these videos, what
did they hold? Why are theygone? And do you feel what we're

(58:05):
about to hear is in the bestinterest of the patients. We'll let you
be the judge. Coming up next. Hang on, Haitlyn Clark's stuff,
just because the way that I seeher being analyzed by people that clearly looks
to be racial. Racial, okay, lot racial. And so I was

(58:30):
I was here for it yesterday. So Clark sheep, she set another record
yesterday, had some like disgustingly giganticvictory. How much they dominate one eight
to sixty, kick the crap outof Minnesota. She had a triple double?
What was the what was the actualrecord? She sent? So I'll

(58:54):
be interested to watch the ESPN analysistoday. Okay, So that was enough
to put her the all time, all time leading scorer in the history of
major women's college basketball, and thatincludes both iterations of it. So yeah,

(59:19):
how many points thirty six hundred andfifty, which is just stupid when
you consider it has to be accomplishedover a certain number of years, right,
because it's not like the pros. You got eligibility, as much eligibility
as you got, that's when yougot to do it. So yeah,
I did find that amusing. Speakingof colleges and stuff, in this case,
I don't find amusing. Let meflip back to this. Souke Medical

(59:44):
School had some videos that literally theyposted in it. In the videos which
have now disappeared somehow following the BenShapiro reporting. You see one of the
doctors raman, I'm pronouncing that correctlytalking about DEEI, you know, diversity,

(01:00:07):
equity and inclusion, not equality, and how that comports with the decisions
that they're making over at Duke. And some would say it wasn't a good
look. Let's get into it.You know. The thing is we are
in the south, right, andunlike a lot of the like hospitals in
the northeast and the west, weserve a very southern population. This is

(01:00:29):
not a VIP hospital. People arenot like flying in from Qatar to get
treated here. We treat patients whoare just from the community in the South.
And yes, my heart sings everytime I go into a room and
I watch them watching Fox News,or they have a manga hat on,
or they're wearing a Confederate belt.Right, these are the patients that we

(01:00:50):
treat. But Geraldine, I willsay that the one very good thing about
the South that I enjoy is exactlywhat I alluded to earlier, is that
we don't treat VIPs. We treatpeople from our community. And our community,
as all we explained, is majoritynon white, and it is wonderful
to treat such a diverse group ofpeople in every regard. And that's not

(01:01:12):
an experience that I had in mysabbis and other places. All that my
friends have training in other programs.Okay, and I'm just softening up for
the other cut. But so thatgives you, I guess, a little
flavor of kind of the mindset ofthis physician. It sounds some people think

(01:01:32):
that it makes it sounds as thoughit's a little derogatory about folks in North
Carolina or folks in the South,as he keeps saying, I'll let you
be the judge of that. Butis this mindset perhaps impacting in how medicine

(01:01:52):
is delivered? That's really I thinkwe're most of the concern lies. Let's
continue with this Ushian video twenty twentyand George Floyd and those events happened and
sort of collectively galvanize the consciousness ofDuke University and suddenly our department to try
to do something and recognizing this likecenturies long history of racism and slavery in

(01:02:17):
which Duke University essentially was founded onwhich it was founded, and that's when
we sort of had to confront thehistory of institution, the history of our
department, the walls of white menthat are draped across our hallways. And
that's when we started to start tothink that maybe something should change something.

(01:02:39):
All right, And okay, allright, so you're talking about you're talking
about an era that obviously predates probablythis doctor being alive and certainly me.
But that's not the experience. Ross. Do you ever go to Duke Medical
for anything near used to do?I've been to Duke on a couple of
different Asians for things. Uh,my primary was there for a while.

(01:03:05):
It wasn't all just white dudes inthere. So like this guy is sitting
there that obviously currently wasn't the statejust before George Floyd, and he's kind
of applying that it was and itwasn't. Uh, there are there are
lots. There are a lot ofdoctors who this guy appears that his heritage
appears to be an Indian. Iwould place it. And uh there what

(01:03:32):
one of the the doctor, thethe dermatologist doctor is he's from India that
I go to. So but andI like him because he has he doesn't
want to mince words, joke nothing. He says, boom, let's get
to it. And I like thatbecause I don't want to be there and

(01:03:52):
right doesn't want to be staring atyou know, me with a shirt off.
The weather going to be turning around. A little race stagic coming up
later in the hour. He'll fillyou in on that, but first we
got we got to talk about allthe Hollywood and adjacent insanity. And to
do that we welcome in Steven kentAre. I don't want to call you

(01:04:14):
NERD correspondent, but it's kind ofstuck, sir, so you just know
what NERD correspondent is. Just fine. My dad's been calling me that since
I was five. Okay, allright, cool, cool, they're on
the same page as the Nerd Correspondenttell me about the unknown. I'm very
curious about this new Willy Wonka characterbecause I didn't see that. Kevin Dude,

(01:04:34):
how great is Twitter right now?On that story. I spent most
of last night trying to explain thisWilly Wonka Glasgow story to both my wife
and my daughter and explained just whyit was so funny, and I basically
just landed on, you know, let's make candy like a Mets lab and
in the middle of Scotland and tryto get it to the kids enjoyed.

(01:04:58):
Well, there's so many elements. So like, that's a reference to that
beaker set in front of the umpathe umpah, the one who looks like
she wants to like they should puta jump net behind that woman's station because
she looks miserable to be there. But the backstory is like she thought the
way Ross was explaining it to mebecause I didn't see I didn't see that

(01:05:19):
other post. But he's like shewas told basically she was going to have
like a Scrooge McDuck vault full ofcandy, right, they kind of get
swim around in and and just beable to give it to kids, which
if you like kids, that's apretty good gig, right, And it
was clearly that clearly wasn't happening. And then you find out it's because the
kids are over being absolutely terrified bya combination of I guess the Willy Wonka

(01:05:47):
actor. In fact, here wegot some audio of this. So the
first red flight for me was whenI was cast as Willy Wonka. Anyone
who looks at me and thinks WillyWonka and not umpa Lumpa is out of
their mind. I give off majorrump a lumper energy. I got cast
as the part on the Thursday, was told that I needed to lend the

(01:06:08):
script for the Friday, all right, and they posit here. And this
is where this goes downhill, becauseway do you hear how this script emerge
that involved this character playing Willy Wonka, who is a character that people are
familiar with, and then the killerfrom Scream shows up from behind a mirror
or something. How did we gethere? This is the answer to that

(01:06:30):
that problems, send it over. The script was fifteen pages monologue, pretty
much of AI generated gibberish. Oneof my favorite lines was there is a
man who lives here. His nameis not known, so we call him
the Unknown. The Unknown is anevil chocolate maker who lives in the walls.

(01:07:00):
All right, it's I haven't beenI you know what? You gave
me flashbacks too. Do you rememberthe the update to OZ what was it
back to OZ or whatever? Yeah, with the roller skate dudes, I
remember that was that was nightmare fuelfor for kids, my era of kids.
I mean, this is this isstill just like the Unknown, this

(01:07:23):
blacked blacked out creatures like a lostmember of the band slip knot trying to
be in an Oopa Lupa territory.Pretty frightening. I watched that video.
I would not go to that show. No No, No, and the
kid You can hear the kids literallystart to cry when when the character because
they're kids and they just now,all of a sudden there's a demon appearing

(01:07:45):
Baba Duke, and and they werewhat were they charge of their charge for
forty five bucks to get in there? I mean, what doll like fire
festival all over again. No,Like, at least Fire Festival was in
a funday destination, right, youknow you're in the Caribbean, you got
that. I mean, yeah, there's packs of wild dogs and people are
tweeting how do I make a spear? And that sucks, but you know,

(01:08:09):
at least at least it's sunny andnice. You're just in this gloomy
gym and you don't want to takeyour kids for a day out inside a
dank warehouse. No, no,I I well, actually it's actually it
is a concert venue. I lookedup the actual venue because it does it
just looks like it looks like anairplane hangar or something. But it's like
it's where the hold concerts and stuffin Glasgow there. So it's just dude,

(01:08:32):
it's It's provided some of the funniestentertainment that I've seen on Twitter,
and quite sometimes we need to laugh, we need to laugh. Well,
I think Ross Ross was on Twittercoming out. He was he's realized you
can make a bunch of cash. You don't have to do anything with a
star trek wrestling, combo things. So we'll see how that pans out here

(01:08:54):
on us soil. But I dohave to will buy the first ticket.
Well yeah, and then you'll alsobe the first person to testify at the
fraud trials. Have that going foryou? All right? Let me slip
over to just a couple other thingshere. I see this as moonbat on
moonbat violence. We use the termmoon bat around here, but leftists on

(01:09:15):
leftist violence. So I'm fine withit. But Disney Plus is Star Wars
spinoff called The Bad I haven't watchedThe Bad Batch, right, so I
don't know if I don't know ifit's good or not. I guess maybe
you can fill me in there. However, one of the composers who contributed
to the show in the credits wasdead named right using the old pre transition

(01:09:40):
name, and people lost their crapover this, and x account highlighted it.
It goes viral. Now the socialjustice guys are screaming at Disney,
and it's like, you know what, this is the audience Disney clearly wants,
or at the very least many othercontent creators clearly want. Right,
So this is what you get?Am I is that too cynical? You

(01:10:02):
do get what you deserve. Now, I'll give you a little bit of
backstory. A The Bad Batch animatedseries that takes place right after Star Wars
episode three, so it's the verybeginning of the Rise of the Empire.
It's a fine show. It's completelyforgettable, but it is not bad.
And the score is done by theKiner family. So these are three composers,

(01:10:25):
Kevin Kiner, Sean Kiner and theson Dean Kiner. All three of
them do Star Wars scores together. They did the Ahsoka show, They've done
parts of Star Wars, the CloneWars, and now they did the Bad
Batch together. Now Dean Kiner isnow Deanna Kiner as you transgender and is
now identifying as a woman, andso the credits here. Still it's really

(01:10:47):
remarkable that they did this because ithad to have been a clerical error marked
Deanna Kiner down as Dean Kiner, and so Daughters of Ferrix and some lefties
on Twitter have completely lost their mindsand taken upon themselves to be aggrieved by
this, which you know, Ijust kind of find kind of bizarre because
you would think that Deanna Kiner andthe Kiner family would pretty much just handle

(01:11:12):
this themselves, and they probably weregoing to without the daughter Sepherics or whatever
they are basically claiming the scalp ofJennifer Corbett, who heads the show,
as a victory. But yeah, but is it okay that I go good?
Right? And because it makes mefeel a little bad? And you're
right, this doesn't seem to beelevated by Kiner. It's obviously people on

(01:11:39):
the periphery. That being said, details, especially when talking about Star Wars
stuff, you know, people willfight over minute details for well they still
do you know the who shot first? Thing? Right? This is it's
not going to escape scrutiny, evenif it is a clerical error. So
I'm not a prize that it gotas beloved. Now, that's right.

(01:12:01):
You build the audience that you deserve, and Disney has gotten themselves an audience
that just completely hounds them and dragstheir production crews over the coals anytime they
make any kind of error as faras leftists are concerned on Twitter, and
the biggest mistake that they make isthey continue to talk back to them.

(01:12:21):
What they need to understand at somepoint is that you don't work for these
people, the activists on Twitter. So you know, Jennifer Corbett, who
heads up the Bad Batch, didrespond as well as the Disney Help Disney
Plus helpline, which is just kindof bizarre. But Jennifer Corba mentioned that
it was a clerical error and they'regoing to fix it. And I'm guessing

(01:12:45):
now she's going to start asking forforgiveness before they call for her ousting from
Disney altogether. Do you think Disneywould No, I don't think so.
I think somebody just made a mistakesomewhere in the production lines. But you
know, the thing about the farleft fans of Star Wars who live on
Twitter and harass the staff and crewall day is that at some point they

(01:13:08):
always tend to listen to these peoplejust so that they can make them go
away. But I've got a tipfor Disney, which is the mute button.
I've been using it generously this morningon this very subject. Yeah.
No, it's a big fan ofthat. In fact, I've been doing
a lot of it because I'm iam I'm at my wits end on people

(01:13:30):
dumping content into the threads of anotherunrelated post just because it's high profile,
right, So it's like it'll besome here's a news story and then there's
you know, it's it's engagement farmingand it's annoyed and I just I've I've
turned into the old man on Twitterwhere I just start I just block it
or mute these accounts. Now I'mjust done with it. You saw,

(01:13:53):
let's do this. I want tohit a break. Did you? Did
you see the thread last week?We didn't get into it on what Musk
and other like these changes, thesebigger changes they want to make on Twitter
too. No, I haven't.Okay, well, you know I'm gonna
have to find that. I'll giveyou an example of a couple of them.
But you know what, maybe actuallylet me do this because it's pretty

(01:14:16):
lengthy and I don't know that Icould get you up to speed on this,
and I want to have that conversation. We might do that next week
because that's when they're going to startrolling some of them out, they said,
as we get into the next month. But I do have something else
I want to chat with you about. So we are with Stephen Kent.
Will take a break, be rightback, hang on continuing our conversation with
Stephen Kent for all things entertainment, the intersection of entertainment and politics. That

(01:14:41):
seems to be where we lie.Although I was laughing during the break as
something you tweeted out about a halfhour ago. Steven, you're exactly right
on the Mitch McConnell's sub headline. They've been sitting on that thing forever.
Get out of the way. Yeah. Yeah, I'm disappointed to to learn

(01:15:06):
that he's actually not stepping down tillNovember. I got too excited about the
headlines of Mitch mcconnald's departure, andnow I saw the fine print of November
and kind of like Joe Biden,I'm like, wait, this guy is
gonna make it that long. Idon't think so, you know, and
there is going there is a significantamount of upheaval and change coming the way

(01:15:28):
of Republicans, both elected as wellas the party apparatus, obviously with McDaniel
and I guess you have what twoor three resignations coming up within the RNC
and Mitch McConnell, and I guesswe will see what emerges there and whether
we find it more palatable. Youknow, we saw it with the Speaker
of the House, the McCarthy thing, and I guess I would ask many

(01:15:49):
of the people who really wanted himout, do you feel like it's going
better? With the new guy.And I don't know the answer to that,
especially when it comes to things likethat whole funding debacle that had border
stuff and they didn't have border stuff, So I don't that's what do you
what do you think? Do youthink you think there's a little buyer beware

(01:16:11):
on on these force changes? Doyou think it's a good thing? Well,
what I am certain of is thatwhoever places Mitch McConnell will probably be
named John John something will be thenews speaker of the House. That's a
pretty good bet. John Cornyn SENAyeah, yeah, Senate Minority or majority
leader. Thank you. That's theonly thing we can be sure of.

(01:16:33):
Okay, all right, well Iguess I'm not in that lottery, so
I'll move on. I saw thisyesterday. I like both the both the
actors so and it's always interesting tothink this out Alan rich And and if
you guys out there don't know,he is the new Jack Reacher and arguably
the much better Jack Reacher. Ihave enjoyed the series there. However,

(01:16:57):
he was doing an interview with Men'sHealth and and at one time he was
up to play four in the MCU, which he said he didn't take it
seriously. He was told it washis to lose, but he didn't.
He just and I guess maybe ifyou think about the time frame in which

(01:17:19):
you're trying to evaluate, hey,is this going to be a big deal,
you really only have iron Man togo on and him not getting it.
Eventually the park goes to Chris Hemsworth, and I again, I like
both actors, but I don't knowthat Thor could be Thor with Alan or
Richan and any better than Helmsworth was. Yeah, No, I don't think

(01:17:45):
so. I was actually watching theseaudition tapes from the early MCU the other
day when I saw this article goup, and it's just always interesting with
actors who they think that they arecut out to play when they go into
an audition, and then who theyactually up being cast as. Because Tom
Hitdleston, who ended up playing Loki, he was trying out for four and

(01:18:05):
it's it's impossible to imagine a guyis kind of wiry and snake looking as
Tom Hiddleston, who's perfect for adeceptive villain like Loki being in the armor
of Thor. And Chris Hemsworth,I mean, I don't know. I
guess his audition, like, hedidn't take it seriously either. It was
a goofball audition, but goofball, tall, dashing, strong, That is

(01:18:28):
kind of what Thor is all about. But you know, then you've got
people like Chris Pratt, who endedup playing star Lord in Guardians of the
Galaxy, and he's coming off of, you know, being type cast as
the guy in the office, andfor him to try to break out of
that rut and get his career restartedas an action hero, that must have

(01:18:50):
been the most intimidating audition you couldpossibly imagine, because nobody took Chris Pratt
seriously. He was still working onparts or Parks and Records, but he
was still working on that, andhe said, I'm the chubby, funny
guy, and he was talking abouthow he had to literally transition from a

(01:19:11):
health standpoint to do it. Soobviously he did take that very seriously.
And again, these are characters youcan't imagine other people playing. As much
as I like Richen and Jack Reacher, I don't think he could have pulled
off Dad Bod Thor and you know, that whole series of events because that's
all about really comedy at that point. Yeah, I think that's where the
fat suit comes in handy for thepeople who are not going to be like

(01:19:35):
lifestyle career actors. And I dolike Richen, but I just don't see
him in that kind of way. That guy takes fitness way too seriously.
But you know, it does remindme of like how you know, when
you get a role, it completelychanges your life. And I think about
Star Wars often and all the peoplewho auditioned in the early aughts of Star

(01:19:56):
Wars, like Kurt Russell, whowas going, you know, in the
to be Han solo, as wellas Burt Reynolds, like these are people
whose lives would have been completely upendedand changed. Their legacy is completely different
if they had gotten those roles.Phone number eight eight eight ninety three four
seven eight seven four. All right, we're gonna get a little rapid fire

(01:20:17):
here. You probably have seen inIllinois a judge, a Cook County,
so Chicago judge who yesterday just decidedthat Trump can't be on the ballot.
And in Illinois they actually this actuallyhad been a challenge previously, right,

(01:20:38):
they were one of the states takethis up, and the Illinois State Board
of Elections actually rendered a ruling onit already saying that no, you can't
keep them off the ballot. Soactivists went out and they found this judge
who ruled that you can. Andwhat is this idiot's name, Tracy Porter.

(01:21:00):
Now what becomes fascinating is when youfigure out what kind of judge she
is. Porter who presides over minortraffic violations and class A misdemeanor matters.
So she is an at large judgewho handles traffic violations and class A misdemeanor

(01:21:27):
matters. So you know you're talkingabout like, actually, I don't know
in Illinois specifically what falls in there, but it's low level stuff like disturbing
the peace, things like that. That is who apparently has decided that she
is in a position to rule whethera federal candidate can be on the ballot
there. And of course this iswhat judge shopping looks like. I don't

(01:21:51):
know that I've had to see themgo this deep on the bench before,
but hey, they found one,and so quickly you'll quickly get overturned,
obviously, but and there will beno penalty for it when it couldn't appear
more political if you tried. So, yeah, I just wanted you to
know that little nugget of background, because it gave me both a horrible feeling

(01:22:17):
inside but also did chuckle just alittle. All right, we got lots
of stuff up on the Twitter.I mean, I encourage you to see.
We got the crazy California mace fight. That's a thing. We got
an only fans. She's also amom. She's his only fans, but
also as a mom to a tenyear old. She's really upset because she

(01:22:40):
had to stop only fans ying iswhat we'll call that, and had to
go pick her kid up from schoolbecause he's projectile vomiting all over the place
multiple times, and she's losing hermind over that. So you can watch
that insanity and feel better about yourparenting. And this. So yesterday there

(01:23:01):
this clip which is about a thirtysecond clip of somebody who is who's obviously
a cyber expert, who is detailingas part of a criminal proceeding, you
know, is what he found, right, So he's he's he's the computer
nerd that they have dig through. And then they take the stand to say,
yes, we were able to pullthis ip or see these things,

(01:23:24):
or that here's the digital footprint, and and and so it's it's really it's
usually not the most exciting part ofthe case, but it got really interesting.
And I saw people saying that itwas from the continuation of the Fanny
Willis hearing, but it's not.It actually is part of the hearing going

(01:23:45):
on with the armor, the thethe the Hollywood woman who provides firearms for
movie sets, and specifically rust thealet where Alec Baldwin shot and killed the
uh one of the workers there, and so it's part of that trial.
However, it's not something I've everheard in court. Listen to this.

(01:24:08):
What's the owner name of this film? The name that would appear, say
a Bluetooth device is found online, which is gorilla grip. Well, okay,

(01:24:30):
Hentelly kind of doesn't want to sayit, but he's got to,
and we had to bleep it.But it's gorilla grip. And then we
had to bleep a word. Andit's a word that you could use in
more colloquial manner to describe a certainpart of a woman. And I heard

(01:24:53):
that yesterday and I got I gottabe honest. As I get older,
I feel more and more immature thatthe if you so, I got an
iPhone and I have an iPad,and obviously there's interconnectivity. I can hotspot
all of that, but the deviceshave individual names, and so if you're
in public and let's say you weretrying to connect a Bluetooth of device,

(01:25:15):
you can see a lot of theother Bluetooth stuff around you, right,
Or if you're looking for Wi Finetworks, if I haven't hot spotted,
you could see the name of thenetwork. And I've always found it very
amusing on my phone, and it'sbeen this way since I think I got
my first iPhone that could do this. It's always been Uncle Touchy's puzzle basement.
And every now and then, ifI'm in a public setting and I'm

(01:25:36):
hot spotting over the laptop or something, and you can see somebody connecting and
kind of giving a quizzical look, and I have to wonder if they see
that. That being said, Ifeel a lot better now because this also
is supposed to be a grown adult. Oh and my iPad is Hunter Biden's
laptop. So if you're ever inpublic, can you see those around I

(01:25:56):
may be nearby, is what I'msaying. But uh, yeah, I
saw most people I think who cameacross that yes, they were told it
was part of the Fanny Willis thing, and I just want to, you
know, put the accurate information outthere, but it doesn't become less funny,
because that's like, that's the fear, right, If I could for
just a moment like that, oneday you'll be sitting in court and your

(01:26:19):
Google search history will be in there. Right, that's the that's the stuff
you don't think about until it's timeto do that. Before then, he
just look at this, I hadthis funny network name. Look at this,
and now when there's some guy readingit into the record in court,
the fun vanishes. So perhaps acautionary tale there. All right, just

(01:26:42):
saw this and we're coming off themace thing. So I thought, well,
let's let's go ahead and chat aboutthis, cause I don't remember this
when I was in school. Ido remember that we did do archery in
Pe and it kind of didn't gowell because instead of just we're out on
the football field is where we'd shoot. You have to know my high school,

(01:27:05):
the football field was lower than theschool. It's the very top of
the hill and you walk down toit and then directly across from it is
a huge slope there's a park andit's also where everyone goes to sled in
the winter if they lived in townof Buffalo, Wyoming. And it goes
down into the central park there. But it's a huge, huge open area.

(01:27:30):
And like some of the idiots Iwent to school with, we're trying
to see how far they could shootaerrows. So that wasn't good. That
being said, this is just thisis far crazier. A teacher in New
Mexico is in a little bit oftrouble. A lawsuit now pending. This

(01:27:51):
after the high school, the NewMexico High School teacher organized sword fights in
class and there and there's video,by the way, and what you see
is you see two students with swordsgoing at each other and there is some
protective gear and it's not it isnot fencing with the ball tips and the

(01:28:15):
full protective gear. It's clearly notthat. And in fact, I know
it's not that because one of thestudents who said that she was she was
only doing this at the behest ofthe teacher who demanded her to do it.
She was injured pretty good. Let'ssee here the civil action filed by

(01:28:38):
the guardians of the students are thegrandparents. But according to the lawsuit,
during the duel, which I'm guessingshe lost, right, well, I
mean, how these things work, she sustains severed nerves and tendons. It's
a huge gash there. The formerlet's see, former chemistry teacher and assistant

(01:29:00):
principle are named in the lawsuit. The swords was a katana and a and
I guess a more traditional style fencingsword, but not one with a blunted
tip, one that clearly could drawblood, because that's what she got hacked
with. So you have Ninjas swordversus you know, like French style sword.
And this is going on in themiddle of class, and it's chemistry,

(01:29:23):
and I'm trying to figure out howthe hell that connects to chemistry like
metal shop maybe or pe maybe, even though it's a horrible idea, but
every day I see one of thesestories and I'm like, how did you
think that was a good idea? How did you now? As a high

(01:29:43):
school student, I'd be crazy entertained, like, oh my gosh, look
what they're letting us do. Butin this case, again a significant injury,
big old lawsuit, and the reasonthe assistant principle is in there is
Following the injury and the chemistry teacherlaning to the assistant principle how it happened.
The assistant principal, rather than immediatelycalling nine to one one, uh,

(01:30:05):
basically, I decided, well we'llcall it. We'll call her grandparents
to come and pick her up first, and then waited for twenty minutes and
didn't tell the family exactly what theproblem was. And then, as you
can imagine, they finally about thirtyminutes later, Grandpa arrived and off to
the hospital they went. So thereyou go. Don't let your students fight

(01:30:26):
with swords bribably, I can end, well, all right, raced Agic
from the Weather Channel has never beenin a duel this year. How do
you how that's in New Mexico? How do in an American high school?
You go, all right, kids, we're gonna have unprotected, real deal
sword fights. Go and think you'renot gonna lose your job. Maybe you
wanted to lose real live swords thatare not even like fake. No,

(01:30:50):
no one of the girls got shegot slashed, significant injury. It's terrible,
it's terrible. She should get betterswords. So maybe think of a
different teacher that's rude. All right, So what do you got real quick
inter Nutshell, Yeah, a littleovercast, not rain making clouds. It's
been a high level of overcast, low fifties today, so temper just have

(01:31:13):
to come down and come down quitea bit, especially this morning. I
know everybody felt the change. Rainprobably later tomorrow afternoon, mid to late
afternoon, still cool, little midfifties, but that should taper off about
midday Saturday, and then we'll kindof reset. We'll get back to the
milder weather for Saturday afternoon, cloudyload to mid sixties, and then on
Sunday partial sun and Monday partial sunwith clouds will be right around seventy degrees.

(01:31:35):
So this is nice, little coolsnap and then a little wet weather
for your Friday evening plans as weget into March, and then the first
weekend of March. Actually not toobad. Temperature slightly above average. Okay,
all right, I appreciate it.Several chat tomorrow, have it going
yep, And Jeff Bellinger joins usin a few hangout. I didn't see
it in your list, Jeff Bellinger, but we were laughing earlier. Apparently

(01:31:56):
Wendy's is rethinking. Did you seeyou see update on that insanity They backed
away from it. Yeah, this, I did have it in the list.
I've said this may help to turnaround what's been a bad week for
Wendy's restaurants that serve breakfast, givingaway cinnabon pull aparts to celebrate Leap Day
and reiterated that earlier this week Wendy'shad to back off on that plan to

(01:32:19):
attest surge pricing of some menu items. I stand corrected right now, All
right, yep, the idea justwent over like a lead a balloon with
consumers stocks. Casey staged a modestretreat yesterday, but it looks like we'll
have a turnaround today. The FederalReserve's favored inflation gauge came in as expected.

(01:32:41):
It's called the PCE Cordy Flator.Last month, it was up two
point eight percent from January of lastyear, but because that was sort of
baked into the markets, it wasexpected. The futures staging a sort of
relief rally. They were lower untilthat came out. Right now, the
Dow futures are up sixty points. The Labor Department to two hundred and fifteen
thousand new claims for unemployment benefits lastweek that was thirteen thousand more than the

(01:33:05):
prior week, and report out thismorning. Casey says it's become a lot
harder for would be car buyers toget auto loans. Cox Automotive says lenders
have tightened their standards. They're worriednow about the risks of defaults. With
soaring interest rates and high car pricessqueezing budgets, a lot of Americans,
even with good credit scores, arehaving more trouble than usual getting loan approvals.

(01:33:28):
In Casey, all right, wellthat's not a bubble. That's probably
going to be horrible at some point. Thank you much, Jeff, appreciate
it. Okay, all right, have a good day. All those defaults,
that's why they're concerned, all right, I Q Jeff and not having
it and is right there, AndI swear I scanned his stack by the
way. Over the break, Idid read a little more on the New
Mexico stude could I wanted to figureout how a chemistry teacher incorporates sword battles

(01:33:56):
in there? And it says herein this other article, the it was
they were teaching about metal and bondingand metal melding, which yeah, I
guess, but then I saw it'sin Albuquerque, and I realized this is
not remotely the worst thing that ahigh school chemistry teacher in Albuquerque has ever

(01:34:19):
done. So, I mean, that's a really really high bar. That's
where That's where Breaking Bad was rightAlbuquerque. Am I correct on that.
I never watched the show, butRoss did so. But yeah, so
you know, by that standard, this is nothing, man, This is
fine. And finally, the MiamiHerald is upset. If you didn't know

(01:34:41):
the city of Miami Beach right SouthBeach, that area they are. They're
doing a lot of tweaks for springbreak this year after what was absolutely insane
spring breaks the last two years youhad. You had restaurants that literally had
to get people to fight people whotrying to leave and not pay for their
meals because it was so frequent. There were shootings. The guy with the

(01:35:05):
Joker tattoo on his face that waswanting to sue rock Star for inclusion and
grand theft, that's where his videoemerged. There was it was absolutely out
of control. So they started makingsome changes, including closing parking garages and
a few other things to limit theability of people to get in and out
of there and perhaps keep the crowdsdown. Well, now the paper says

(01:35:27):
they're doing it to be racist. This headline, how far can a city
go to keep black spring break crowdsout? Miami Beach tests the limits and
so you know, they throw that, they roll that hand grenade in there,
and at no point did the reportergo, I wonder what other cities
do. I wonder how they handleit. And they didn't even have to

(01:35:48):
leave the state. If you goto the Panama City, all of these
things that the city that Miami iswanting to do or Miami Beach, they
they already do. And the springbreak crowd in the you know, the
redneck riviera there is, I wouldsay, from what I've seen during the

(01:36:10):
bill O'Reilly investigative reports and whatnot, that's predominantly a white crowd there. And
so the paper's thrown all this aroundand they didn't even bother to see that
this is exactly how other cities havetried to handle this
