(00:00):
Scott Vordiez, the Sarpie County RepublicanParty is not happy with the Republicans on
the Papillion Levista Community Schools school Board. I can't imagine that means that they're
too thrilled with the Democrats on there, especially since this proclamation includes a phrase
like gender identity cult like Democrat agenda, But it's the Republicans on the Papillion
(00:26):
school board who get censured. Atthe end of this statement from the Sarpie
County Republican Party, we welcome thechairman of the Sarpi County Central Committee,
Michael Tiedeman, joins us here onnews radio eleven ten kfab Michael, thank
you very much for taking the time. Thank you Scott for having me on.
The Republicans on the Papillion Leavista schoolBoard are Skip Bailey, Marcus Madler,
(00:50):
Brian Lotis, and Valerie Fisher. What did they do that got your
organization, the Sarpie County GOP soupset. Well, I wouldn't say so
much as it's what they did,it's more of what they didn't do.
For many years, we've had parentscoming to the school board meetings expressing concerns
(01:11):
with the content in the libraries, and there has been very little action taken
to actually address their concerns. Inturn, these parents get frustrated, they
reach out to the County Party andthey brought their concerns to the County Party
and our Central Committee decided that itwas time for them to take a stand
(01:33):
and with a vote of ninety fourto two, they voted to censure those
individuals. What concerns are we talkingabout here? So we have some pornographics
material that's in the books in ourschool libraries, one of them being all
Boys Aren't Blue. On March twentyseventh, twenty twenty three, we had
(01:53):
a parent that actually read an excerptfrom that book, to which the school
board members actually said that they didn'twant to sit there and listen to that
pornographic material. So we kind ofsee that they already they are already aware
that there is a problem. Thelack of action is definitely a problem.
Also, on December eleventh, twentytwenty three, a student from the school
(02:16):
district read Eleanor Park an excerpt fromit at the school board meeting and that
actually ended up getting national attention fromthe Twitter account lives a TikTok, which
that's pretty embarrassing for our students, our teachers, and our community as a
whole as well. So someone goesup there and they start to read from
this book and the members of theschool board said, please, we don't
(02:39):
need to hear material like this duringa school board meeting. It's my understanding
that this was streamed on YouTube, and YouTube took it down because it violated
the terms of that streaming platform.Yet that book was available in Papillion school
libraries. That's correct, and youknow it's obviously graphic material and it's kind
(03:04):
of it's accessible to students age twelveto eighteen years old in our schools.
Is it still available? Yes,it went through a review. They fell
back on the policy that they haveexisting, and they determined that it was
not needed to be removed from thefrom the libraries. So the Republicans did
(03:31):
they run for school board and Papillionand say, if you elect us,
then we will go in there andwe will take advantage of this platform to
do something about materials such as this. Is that anything that they talked about
the four that got censured, theydid not run a campaign on that.
(03:52):
We did have one candidate that didrun a campaign and ended up she's no
longer on the school board. Iwill say that as a as a general
rule in our democratic republic form ofgovernment, we elect our officials to form
policy, and if that policy doesnot address the citizens' concerns and our officials
(04:14):
should be looking at changing that policy. Does it matter at all that there
have been I mean specifically this bookthat you're talking about, and are there
others? How many others are wetalking about? There are actually lots of
concerning material in our school libraries.I would definitely recommend any parents that are
(04:36):
concerned. There's a website called educatingparentsdot org, and it enables you to
kind of search through the libraries andsee what books are in your school's library
where your students are being exposed toit. This particular book, All Boys
Aren't Blue has been challenged by schoolboards and at least ten states that have
(04:58):
removed the book from their life libraries. When it comes to public schools,
there have been others who've looked atthe same material and said, like Papilion
did, no, we think it'sokay, and we encourage parents to oversee
what it is that their kids arereading, and they're always welcome to come
talk to us at the school ifthey have any questions about it puts the
onus on parents to raise their kidsand decide what is something that they should
(05:21):
be looking at, which is sometimesa bit of a Republican agenda item.
Is it not for parents to bethe ones making decision, not something like
the public school board? Absolutely, you know, parents have every right to
raise their children, and I thinkour government needs to respect that right.
(05:42):
We shouldn't be having a institution raisingour children without the parents consent. So
when these Republicans say, well, parents should be the ones to make the
decision as to what their kids read, and some parents might not find this
to be objectionable in the least andwe want to make it available for them
too, then where's the problem?I would say the problem is that the
(06:08):
parents are not at school with thechildren to be able to see what they're
being exposed to. Also, asour guest speaker at our meeting the night
we had the censure, she wastalking about the numbers of copies in some
of these schools and sometimes some ofthis objectionable materialal material has up to one
(06:28):
hundred and eight copies of it ina particular school, which one hundred and
eight copies. It's almost like it'sbeing taught as a curriculum item with that
many copies. So I think thatthe parental involvement. Parents almost aren't always
sure what their children are being exposedto when they're not in the presence of
(06:50):
the children. Any of us whohad a National Geographic magazine in the school
library when we were in grade schoolor middle school knew exactly where it was
and which page to go to becausesome older kids found it said hey,
check this out. We got itright here in a school library. That
was I think innocent compared to someof what we're talking about here. I'm
(07:14):
I'm looking at a passage here fromthis book, and I can't read this
on the radio. The radio stationlicense would be taken away. Speaking euphemistically,
there's one passage of these two guys, young guys who get together,
and the phrase says, he reachedhis hand down and pulled out my he
quickly went to giving me and Ican't. I can't finish these sentences.
(07:42):
So we're talking with Michael Tetum andchairman of the Sarpy County Republican Party,
have you specifically addressed this personally ormembers of your organization with the aforementioned four
Republicans on the Papilion school Board thatdid not do anything with removing this other
objectionable material from Papellion school libraries.Yes, we have had a number of
(08:05):
our members of our central Committee thathave spoken at school board meetings expressing concern.
I personally have reached out to oneof the individuals that and let them
know, you know, hey,we have a serious platform issue here.
We don't want to be perpetuating thistype of material to our kids. And
I don't see where the educational valueand having that material in the schools at
(08:28):
all even exists. I haven't seenwhere any of these school board members again,
Valerie Fisher, Brian Lotus, MarcusMadler, and Lowell skip Bailey.
I don't see where they've responded toany of this, talked about it on
social media. Any of them arewelcome to join me here on the radio
to discuss further. But what didthey say to you or members of the
(08:50):
SRP County GOP when questioned about this? So basically, it just seems like
they're keep on using that that orexists policy as a scapegoat. I in
my email to one of the individuals. They responded with, we have a
we have a set policy and we'refollowing our policy. You know, I'm
(09:13):
sorry, but that's just not agood enough answer when I'm I'm fielding phone
calls and emails from parents that arefrustrated because they just don't feel like their
voices being heard. So you've centuredthese Republican members of the Papellion School Board.
What does that do? If anything? So you have a valid question
there. A censer doesn't have alot of peace. It's more of a
(09:37):
here's where the party stands, here'swhere we believe, and ultimately, I
think it can be used if somebodywas to run against individuals in office,
it can be definitely used to furthertheir campaign. But really it's just it's
more of a public statement to theparents that are frustrated that don't feel that
they have a voice, for thecounty Party to say we hear you,
(10:01):
we stand with you, and we'rewilling to help in any way shape or
form we can. All right,I presume that you've got other people willing
to step up and run against themthe next time they're up for election.
I'm not sure when that is whenthis comes to these particular school board members,
(10:22):
but you know, you guys areon record now is disavowing the Republicans
on a school board, which Idon't know if you've looked throughout the rest
of the Metro Mike, but they'rehard to find conservatives or Republicans on local
public school boards. So we'll we'llhave to see what happens here in the
future. Interesting situation and at thevery least you've illuminated for parents, you
(10:48):
know, what might be in theseschool libraries, so they can make their
voices heard to the school board orto the school or talk with their kids
about it if they see fit.Michael Teaman, chairman of the SARPI you
count the Republican Party. Thank youvery much for the time this morning.
Thank you very much, Scott youbet here on news radio eleven ten kfab
And again, if any of theseschool board members, Republican or Democrat,
(11:11):
want to address this, I'd behappy to talk to them. I still
don't understand as I think about thelibrarians when I was in school, I
think that if I had gone toany of these very nice women and said
I found this dirty book in yourlibrary. They're like, oh, my
goodness, get and they say thisshould not be around kids. I don't
(11:35):
know what has happened and what pressureis put on librarians so to where it
suddenly becomes a point of militaristic fortitudeto fight for pornographic material available to children
in school libraries. People say,oh, you want to ban books?
(11:58):
Now, what's talking about banning books? If you want to raise your kids
to read stuff like this, youcan order it and you can give it
to your kids and say, allright, tonight, we have a bedtime
story. And again I'm looking atthe passages from this book. I can't
even I don't even feel right euphemisticallyreading passages about I got to close this
(12:24):
window. I don't need that stufflooking at me. And it has to
me the subject the subjects of thesebooks are gay. It would if it's
the same thing, except it's aboy and a girl describing these acts and
doing these things. These are notthings I want my kids to be reading
in school. These aren't necessarily thingsI want my kids to be reading out
of school. But Jonathan emails andsays, I assume these parents and politicians
(12:48):
are aware the internet exists. Getover yourself, all right. First of
all, I will never get overmyself. I mean there's so much here
to celebrate, and I'm sure I'mnot just doing it alone. I pay
several people to come in here everymorning and tell me how great I am.
So that's an invalid point to yourfirst one about why not just let
(13:11):
this pornographic material be there in theschool libraries. Per our conversation a moment
ago here on news radio eleven toten kfab, I mean, the internet
exists. These kids can get ontheir phone, go out and find smut.
Well, then you know what, when I was a kid, they
showed us Darby O'Gill and the littlepeople around Saint Patrick's Day. Saint Patrick's
Day is just over a month awaythis year. I'm sure there is some
(13:33):
Irish pornography that you can show thesekids in the classroom. After all,
they can find it themselves online. Why not just condone it and put it
right there in the classroom for everyoneto see. And it has I mean
it's Saint Patrick's Day, it hasto be Irish smut. I'm talking about
shaking chal a Ley's and kissing blarneystones and all this stuff. Just have
(13:58):
it right there in the classroomw Thisemail come up here from the Douglas County
Board of Health, and I thought, oh geez, now what and the
email has to do with I'll giveyou the headline here says big game is
super opportunity for healthy eating. It'sfrom the Douglas County Health Department, where
(14:26):
doctor Lindsey Hues says, enjoy thegame, and don't forget wash your hands.
Providing hand sanitizers and tissues are stilla good idea, and anyone who
feels sick should avoid going to parties. But healthy eating it's always important to
(14:46):
your well being. You could serveapple slices and fresh vegeas. You can
go to another party. You're honestly, is anyone inviting her? This is
this is the worst. Yeah, you can you can serve these things.
(15:11):
I suppose if one if an appleslice wanders into my mouth at some point,
it's only because I'm just indiscriminately shovingfood into my mouth while watching football
on Sunday. But oh, thisis this is also, this is terrible.
You can also help your guests bywatching their alcohol use. Remember just
(15:35):
one drink per quarter and one duringhalftime. Wait what that puts it to
do that? And this isn't therecommendation. It says that bad. No,
no it's not. She says thatputs a person into the binge drinking
category. It's five beers over fourhours. No, that's not. It
(16:00):
would be for me if I hadfive beers and four hours. I haven't
had five beers in the last Iprobably have but one drink per each quarter.
You're supposed to watch these people, and one during halftime puts a person
in the binge drinking category. Howabout this mine your business? If someone's
(16:21):
if if someone's driving them home andthey just want to, you know,
smack down a bottle of Southern Comfortwhile watching just the third quarter. You
know what, I'm not your dadnow, unless my kids are doing that,
then I am their dad. I'mgonna say whoa, whoah, not
the whole bottle. By the way, I got in some trouble with my
Facebook post. Well, my son, and that's that's all I'll tell you
(16:45):
about this. Douglas County Board ofHealth. Remember, eating super foods is
super healthy. Yes, enjoy thebig stre It is Big Day with Apple
slices and moderate alcohol wings, Nacho'sslider's dip. What a bunch of dorks.
Meatballs they are? They are dipsand meatballs. So last night,
(17:10):
my son is going to uh Wednesdaynight what used to be called CCD,
Now it's just we're going to thechurch. My son is being confirmed on
Sunday afternoon, during the Super notduring the Super Bowl, it's still it's
a couple of hours before kickoff. My wife said, well, what if
(17:30):
it was a little bit later inthe day, What's what are we going
to do. I'm like, Jesusis watching the Super Bowl on Sunday.
So that was the first thing thatgot me in trouble. But he already
knows who wins. Yeah, it'sit's gonna work out. Uh. So
my son's going to get confirmed. So he had confirmation practice, and as
(17:51):
such, there was a little bitof a crash course between my wife and
my son as to making sure heknew. I knows. I walk into
the kitchen and they're going over theTen Commandments, and I thought he had
done something wrong because I hear it'sone of the commandments is to obey your
parents. Like what did he do? Now? Like no, No,
(18:11):
we're just going over. I say, so, you have to obey your
parents, thou shalt not commit murder. And then I looked at him and
said, go murder someone, instantlycreating a conundrum. One commandment is he
needs to obey me. The othercommandment is he can't kill anybody. And
(18:33):
I've just ordered him to go murdersomeone. And this is into a Facebook
page how I posted about that, how I created a bit of a Christian
conundrum, and he said, oh, I'm have to ask my teacher about
that. So I apologize to histeacher and to whatever police and child protective
services will be coming back to myhouse. Also, I apologize to my
(18:56):
wife because of the look on herface. The phrase Scott not being helpful
is uttered a lot into in myhouse. But that there's something else happening
on Sunday, a big game onSunday, and it seems like Husker fans,
alleged Husker fans, are all excitedbecause they want to go on Sunday
(19:18):
to watch the Nebraska women's basketball teamplay the Iowa women's basketball team because they
think they're going to be there whenhistory is made. As Caitlin Clark has
got a game I think tonight, maybe I think I heard Jim Rose say
Penn State and then they're playing Nebraskaon Sunday. Caitlin Clark, the phenom
(19:42):
basketball player for the Iowah haw Guys, is currently a three thy four hundred
and sixty two points for her career. When she scores her sixty six more
points, she will have the alltime nca Division One women's scoring record,
(20:03):
and since she averages just over thirtypoints a game, the thought is she's
gonna get her average a bit moreagainst Penn State and then potentially have a
field day against Nebraska and score andset the NCUBLEA scoring record. On Sunday,
the game is sold out. Peopleare all excited go watch Kaitlin Clark
and they think they're gonna see therecord. And there are Husker fans who
(20:26):
are like, well, I'm gonnabe there when Kaitlyn Clark sets through.
I don't want her to score.I don't I'd like to see Nebraska win
this game, but I'm willing to. And I don't even know if this
is a bad strategy. Can youdo a five on one put all the
Nebraska's players on Caitlin just don't lether score. If you're swarming her and
(20:51):
she can't get the basketball, thenshe can't score. She's not I'm tired
of seeing Nebraska teams be the oneswhere someone's setting some NCAA rushing record or
scoring record or no. And certainlynot against our Nebraska team, and not
on our home court because this isin Lincoln. You want to score the
(21:15):
record, go out to Iowa Cityand do it there against someone else.
I'm saying five, at least fouron one against Caitlin Clark, don't let
her score. And if there areHusker fans who are there saying, well,
I want to be there when historyis made. She's a really good
player and I want to see it. Shame on you. You would destroy
(21:37):
her dream. I would, Iknow, I would say I would postpon
it, postpone it okay, thatshe can do it against Minnesota or whoever
they have against, you know, coming up after Nebraska. But the fact
that the national people are already consideringa full gone, foregone conclusion that she's
going to set this record against Nebraska, I wanted Nebraska to shut her down.
(22:04):
That's just obnoxious. What me,Yes, you think I'm obnoxious?
Just about this, you don't,I have not even begun to be obnoxious,
because next up and right now,I have for you something that we
have occasionally, when there are atleast a few different stories, all having
(22:26):
something to do with the former presidentof the United States, we put them
together and put them under the headlineof a Trump date Trump up the Jam,
trump it Up, Trump Up theJam, trumpet trumpet trumpet trumpet trumping.
By the way, if you likethe old school hip hop, slick
Rick is at the Waiting Room andBenson the Night slick Rick Lucy not just
(22:51):
any Rick, Slick Slick The Adventuresof slick Rick Tonight at the Waiting Room,
Ladi Dotti. We like staparty. We don't coust trouble, we don't
bother nobody. We ads some menup on the mic. And when we
rock up on the mic, werock the mic. Right that slick Rick
click Rick very cool. Love it. First story detailing the former president.
(23:19):
You've heard updates from Fox News herethis morning on news radio eleven ten kfab
is. The Supreme Court today beginshearing arguments on the Colorado situation where they
took Trump's name off the ballot ongrounds that he's guilty of insurrection, which
is pretty impressive since he has notbeen charged with insurrection, therefore has not
(23:42):
been found guilty of insurrection. It'sa specific legal term that does not apply
to this man. So they saidhe's an insurrectionist. So the fact that
Trump's attorneys have to take the timeand the money and everything to go before
the Supreme Court and make this argumentis asinine. Anyone else would throw this
(24:06):
out, Lucy if I charge youwith murder and they do a quick investigation
and say, but she didn't murderanyone? Yeah, well probably did.
I don't know. It looks likea murderer to me. I don't like
her. You know, that wouldbe thrown out of court, but not
if it has to do with Trump. So that Supreme Court case is underway
(24:30):
today with opening arguments. A lotmore from Klay, Travis and Buck Sexton
coming up from eleven to two righthere on News Radio eleven ten. KFAB.
There was a call that went outon Trump's behalf before the New Hampshire
primary a couple of weeks ago,and the call wasn't from President Trump and
(24:51):
it wasn't from President Biden either. But when people answered the phone. What
they heard was President Joe Biden urgingDemocrats not to vote in the New Hampshire
primary. Twenty thousand people got thisrobo call with President Biden's voice, which
was done via artificial intelligence. Spareme your emails about artificial intelligence versus President
(25:18):
Biden's intelligence. We all know.So the call has been traced back to
a Texas company that has produced robocalls for about one hundred and forty national
political campaigns and political action committees overrecent years. But it's thought to be
the first one that uses artificial intelligenceto recreate a known person's voice rather than
(25:44):
just a robot. HI, wouldyou like to not vote in whatever?
They think? But this is PresidentBiden's voice. I'm about to track that
down and see if I can hearit. And people are like, oh,
this is a dirty trick. Well, because you would listen to a
recording like that and act on it. Because if you were going to vote
(26:07):
and then you got that call, regardless of who it was, that call
would make you not vote. Itdoesn't really make a difference. There really
is no democratic primary process in NewHampshire or other anywhere else. But whatever,
no, I think the people whoare in sense that they would use
an AI recreation of President Biden's voice, I understand that completely ignore the fact
(26:30):
that there are several people close tothis White House that say he's not in
charge any more than this voice onthis robo call is not his. But
one more story related to the trumpetsphere. A lot of people don't know
what to make of this one.I mean, certainly bud Light, Budweiser,
Anheuser Busch. They've been trying tobe like, hey, hey,
(26:55):
let's let by guns be by guns. With the whole campaign there with an
individual who identified an adult male identifiesas a preteen girl. We gave him
his own beer. A lot ofpeople didn't like it. You know what,
we're fun Look at the commercial withPeyton Manning. He's throwing beers at
people. And for the Super Bowl, we're going to have the clydesdalees and
(27:19):
a Labrador Retriever and they're going tobe doing some cute Budweiser stuff. And
some people are like, ah,yeah, no, I'm not gonna Well,
there's one other thing that they've done, and I think this might backfire
on Budweiser even more so than thatwhole Dylan Mulvaney thing. What did they
do? It's a Donald Trump thing? What Anheuser Busch is sponsoring an upcoming
(27:47):
fundraiser for the Trump presidential campaign. It costs ten thousand dollars per person to
attend to go in there and probably, among other things, drink bud light.
Is Trump going to be there?Yeah? Well I imagine and see
how they can charge ten thousand unlessthere is some sort of access to President
(28:07):
Trump. But it's sponsored by andI don't know if they're the only sponsor,
but some people are like, I'msurprised that Trump is doing a fundraiser
sponsored by them. And then there'sa lot of people going, I can't
believe that they're sponsoring a fundraiser foran insurrectionist. So no one seems to
(28:29):
be real happy with this one.So Budweiser's attempt to try and win people
over is to do something that hasticked off everybody. I tell you,
it's made a lot of people forgetabout the Dylan Mulvaney thing. You know
now that they're sponsoring a fundraiser forTrump. That's crazy, And that's our
trump date my trump my trump mytrump My trump my trump, My Trump,
(28:55):
My trump My trump, my lovelylittle Trump. Check it out.
Some fireworks in the Nebraska legislature yesterdayas the unicameral is looking to confirm or
deny the appointment of Nebraska's Department ofHealth and Human Services director, and it
had to do with some past tweets. That's Lucy Chapman, I'm Scott for
(29:18):
he's This is News Radio eleven tenKFAB, Nebraska's news, weather and traffic
station. Here's another name for you, Steve, and one more, Mikayla.
This is not a love story thoughin advance of Valentine's Day. In
fact, anything but Steve is thecurrent. This is interesting. He's been
since mid September. Steve Corsi hasbeen the CEO of Nebraska's Department of Health
(29:42):
and Human Services, so named byGovernor Pillen. But they still need to
confirm at the legislative level. Theappointment taken a while, partly because the
legislature's not in session during that time. So now they're back from outer just
walked in with Mikayla Kavanaugh's sad lookupon her face. You can't do that
(30:07):
till tomorrow. People like Tom Brewerand others are thinking I should have changed
that stupid luck when they saw hercome in, I will Gloria gain her
this show all day, all right. Mikayla Kavanaugh is on the Legislative Oversight
Committee that would decide whether or notto advance his appointment to the full Legislator.
(30:30):
MICHAELA. Kavanaugh has serious questions forthe CEO of the Department of Health
and Human Services? Do these questionshave anything to do with health with human
services? Whatever that is. I'mgonna call up to day and go,
yes, I need some human services. If you know what I'm talking about,
Let's make a deal. Like that'sillegal in Nebraska, Like, well,
(30:52):
what are we talking about here?So her questions have nothing to do
with I think that which would normallybe considered something under the purview of DHS.
Instead, she brought out a binderof his posts on Twitter, several
(31:14):
posts, reposts, and likes capturedbefore he privatized his account. Michaelic Cavanugh,
Nebraska State Senator out of Omaha, says that these tweets show a predisposition
to discrimination based on race and gender, identity and sexuality, and possibly even
religion and political affiliations. All right, what did he do. He said
(31:44):
that the scripture, the Bible isvery clear that homosexuality is a sin.
So they say, is this goingto create a hostile work environment for LGBTQ
employees that hate at the Health andHuman Services Department, And he says,
well, that would be an unfortunateinterpretation and begins to describe. And I
(32:07):
don't know that he did it inso many words, but it seemed what
he was saying was we're all sinners. There are some that some sins that
are sanctioned or at least not unsanctionedat the state level. Like if you
covet, you know, your neighbor'slawnmower, the state's not going to come
and lock you up until you stealit. Steal theft is a stin,
(32:30):
so once you steal, now there'sa punishment, there's a state sanctioned punishment.
We're all sinners. There's different levelsat the state as to how we
deal with these sins. And Ididn't hear anything that says and we're going
to go running around Nebraska, We'regoing to find and lock up all the
(32:51):
gay people. But his being aman, as he describes, of deep
faith who believes in the Bible. He says, I do believe homosexuality is
a sin. He doesn't have anyplans on acting on it, and even
if he did, the Department ofHealth and Human Services is not an enforcement
(33:14):
department. He can't do anything withthese feelings. But apparently now it disqualifies
you from holding a position in Nebraskagovernment if you're biblically rooted. According to
state Senator MICHAELA. Kavanaugh, hesaid regarding race, he says, I
(33:36):
believe that we're all descended from Adamand Eve, meaning there's one race,
the human race, and everyone shouldbe treated the same. They should be
cared for, they should be loved, they should be treated with respect and
compassion. She said that that wasproblematic. What part he doesn't like abortion?
(33:59):
That, of course, is goingto be a problem for those of
a liberal ilk like Mikayla Kavanaugh said, is abortion healthcare? And he says,
I don't consider it to be healthcare. MICHAELA. Kavanaugh, according to
the story here from The Nebraska Examiner, said that she quote would not exist
(34:22):
unquote if abortion was not healthcare. All right, So it's not just me.
I'm seeing the same look on Lucy'sface as I read that out loud.
I'll read it again, Mikayla Kavanaughsaid, she quote would not exist
unquote if abortion was not healthcare.I'm not I would have to have more
(34:45):
on that or that just sounds likea oh, I think we have more
on that. A moron who's more. Uh No, Sorry, I don't
mean to make things personal when talkingabout someone who openly weeps during every single
session of the unicameral. But andthen finally we all do. She asked
(35:07):
Steve Corsi, why did you likea post that said, among other things,
that the worldview of Democrats is godless? And she said, do you
consider me or other Democrats on thiscommittee to be godless? And he said,
quote, I think there are parts, and I think there are probably
parts of the other side of theaisle that are as well unquote. He
(35:28):
didn't elaborate on what those might be. But that was a little bit of
what happened yesterday at this committee hearingas to whether or not the CEO of
the Department of Health and Human Servicesshould be confirmed by the full legislature that
Steve Corsi questioned by Omaha State SenatorMICHAELA. Kavanaugh, would you say that
(35:50):
they were offended that she was offendedby somebody considering her godless. The problem
I have with that is is agood quotquestion. If somebody finds you godless
and you're offended by that, thenmaybe you need to check what your godness
is. Yes, and she wouldalso upset those who are openly atheist,
(36:15):
excluding those who are as I referto militaristic atheists, those who are actively
trying to knock people off or awayfrom whatever faith that is there for them
in their lives. They don't thinkyou should have that, and they don't
want you to do it to havethat, So they would say, wait
a second, why would you beoffended if someone calls you godless? What's
(36:37):
wrong with being godless? Which wouldhurt a core part of her constituency of
hardcore progressive liberals, many of whomare openly godless. Scodvoys Mornings nine to
