Life Journeys
Faith is intended to give us the wisdom and power to walk through life's hardest times, not just to get rid of those times. Hard times are the canvas upon which God paints a life purpose of victory.God's purpose for life's trials can bring us into our finest hour. But we need to learn to let Him make us before He will send us. The trial is never about the trial. By faith we learn to find something worth dying for, and then we will have found something worth living for.

What’s happening in Israel is not just about Israel. For better or worse, their trial is a shadow of how God deals with all of us. Trials are a test of our faith, not God’s faithfulness. Fear worships the devil. Its foundation is our soul demanding the world be our God and give us what we need.

When God rules my life He gives me the power to be more than a conqueror! If all a person has is this world, then the world will take that person wherever it wants to. If you have no handhold in this world, then the devil can’t attach his stink to you. He can’t control you and make you miserable.

Many a faith battle pivots upon the willingness to surrender everything to God. A big problem in faith is not how to receive from God's hand but letting go of our own hand hold. Surrender activates faith by releasing our expectation of how God will work it out. Let go of what you’re afraid to lose.

God has given us a brain, emotions, and a soul that only functions properly when His word is our highest reality. We are designed in such a way that faith and transformation only come by time spent with Him. We can't live by faith when most of what we receive is from the world instead of from the Lord.

Some think that faith ought to deliver them from all their problems or there's something wrong with them. Faith will 'mess' with a man until his heart changes. Faith won’t produce a life of harmony with this world. It will release an abundant life within that cannot be overcome by darkness.

One day, only the presence of God will sustain us. The criticisms of others about our afflictions don’t mean a thing. Trials don’t mean we’re forsaken or don't have enough faith. They work to establish the fire of Christ in our souls until we know we can't be defeated & that He’s a greater reality than our pain.

God's word is more powerful than hard times. He doesn’t always remove the threat by faith, but He removes it’s power over you. The early church was persecuted yet had joy, peace, and hope. He hasn’t changed! It's not the absence of hard times that gives the human soul victory. It's the presence of God.

Faith doesn’t require the ability to figure it out. It is the evidence of things that can’t be seen; so relax, it’s beyond the wisdom of man. It’s nature is to be tested and to always prevail. Just because your faith is being tested doesn’t mean there’s something wrong. God’s getting you ready to be lifted up.

When Jesus creates faith in us, nothing He promises is impossible. Don’t be afraid of impossibilities, for that is the place where faith lives. It sees what science and human ability can never see. It is the substance of things hoped for. Faith works by Godly hopes. Faith will test you, and it will change you.
