In this Episode I discuss the first Community Direct of 2026. There were some highlights but in general this was a very disappointing 40 minutes. Most of it was repeating what has already been said and the Rare team seems confused and more lost than ever before. We saw an abrupt end to Season 18 with a 2 week Act to close out the Season. Personally I felt that Act 3 was the best Act they have done in a long while as the Ashen Garrisons were awesome! I think Rare just wanted to get our of the fires of hell that was Season 18 and move on to greener pastures, but wait! hold my beer! Season 19 is already off to a bumpy start, full of issues, community outrage and drama, so let's talk about it!

In this episode I look at my experience of Season 18 and the challenges I have with the design choices which have been made. There was a few good and cool features of Season 18 but those were overshadowed by laziness in the over arching direction of the Season. I then look ahead at Season 19 and what we should expect over the next 3 Months as Rare struggles to stop the drowning of their flag ship game.

Sea of Thieves has had a history of game breaking exploits making their seasonal launches rough. Season 13 is no exception! I look at the past 8 seasons and go over this rough history and why this needs to stop. In this episode I discuss recent balance changes of weapons and wind speeds with ships. I agree changes are needed by Sea of Thieves continues to not address degrading server performance nor combat functionality and it is really showing. I also look at my thoughts on Season 13 and though in theory, the Burning Blade is a cool event, I think people will have a change of heart once it is out.
