Sea of Thieves has had a history of game breaking exploits making their seasonal launches rough. Season 13 is no exception! I look at the past 8 seasons and go over this rough history and why this needs to stop. In this episode I discuss recent balance changes of weapons and wind speeds with ships. I agree changes are needed by Sea of Thieves continues to not address degrading server performance nor combat functionality and it is really showing. I also look at my thoughts on Season 13 and though in theory, the Burning Blade is a cool event, I think people will have a change of heart once it is out.

As we near the end of Sea of Thieves Season 11, Rare has released their 2024 road map showing players a look ahead at Season 12, 13 and 14 with some details of what we can expect as we sail through this year. I have my concerns with their features but also am very excited to see so many awesome sandbox changes coming to the game.

Sea of Thieves Community Day was rough. With the February update changing how Rare is developing the game for an expanded audience and updating Direct X frameworks, they caused a host of log in issues and player invite issues which really hurt players on Community Day play with their friends. Sea of Thieves Season 11 had great promise with some of the quality of life features it previewed, unfortunately the execution was terrible and the season launched very rocky with lag, bugs and exploits both old and new. Since it's launch Rare has done several maintenances on the game and a larger patch to fix issues. Server performance is better but the Season still suffers with issues.

Sea of Thieves Season 11 has arrived and it brings with it a massive amount of QoL updates which players have been asking for. Driving, new loot, on demand events and much much more. Can Rare execute it? We will find out but first I want to look at this Season's preview and discuss why this Season has me excited to start sinking more hours into this game.
