Speaker 1 (00:00):
And good morning to you. We're the only K Morning show.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Mellon song coming up. I'm Ryan Manno hello, I'm Social
Queen Darline. Good morning. I'm producer Mike Romos.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
I have the Daily Chronicle for my mother in law
this morning.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Oh yeah, send over to them.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Well let's think of magic, right and magic Johnson. I
got to give you the details on him. He was
at the Ville Jean King Star ceremony to speak for
her yesterday because they are partners and the Dodgers and
they are best friends. But we're going to send you
to see some magic. And it was in nineteen eighty three,
during a live televised special that David Copperfield performed one

(00:34):
of his most iconic illusions. He made the Statue of
Liberty appear to disappear, so he used lighting, mirrors and
misdirection to vanish the Statue of Liberty. Don't you think
that we need to be doing more stuff like that?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I think so yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I love stugs like that, a weekly special at least something.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
So thank you Joyce for sending me the Daily Chronicle. Boy?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
So yes, I mean, where do you even start a
day like you had yesterday?

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Where do you start okay.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
So I hosted the Billy Jean King star ceremony and
she is just brilliant to be around the way she is.
She has a blue leather box and it says Billy
Jean King on it. I'm gonna show you guys the picture.
I'll post it too. And this is her speech box.
She's used this box all of her life. It's embossed

(01:26):
with gold her name, and it just kind of it
kind of flips open and becomes almost like a notebook.
And her speech was in there. So I had to
hold the box. You got to tell the box until
it was time for her. So she had a box
guy and the guy said he's also her manager. He said,

(01:47):
don't lose that box. You are in charge of the box.
So I was holding the box all day, like, oh
my god. But anyway, she gave a great speech.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
She grew up in Long Beach and a big treat
for them was to come to Hall would to watch
the movies and go to the Chinese theater and things
like that. And then she joined tennis clubs that were
all around Beverly Hills in Hollywood because that's where the
good tennis coaches were. Because the celebrities would play there,
and she said she used to see Doris Day and
people like that just playing tennis every day and that's

(02:18):
when she fell in love with tennis as a young
teenage girl, and then it grew from there. So I
loved that story. It was so great. She said that
her mom and dad just loved that. She loved Hollywood
so much. And there she is with her star now.
That is so and Jamie Lee Curtis got up and
spoke for her. They're very good friends. And then Magic
Johnson as well, and he had to, you know, the

(02:40):
microphone was bent for all of us shorties, and he
had to like stretch it straight up and it was
still she was still.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Been over to talk using the mike.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
He's such a big guy. I had on like six
inch heels and so then when I was walking up
the podium, he's coming down and he just said, even
with those heels, you can't reach me.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
He was great. But Maria Sharapova was there, another tennis great,
and she posts for a photo with Magic and they
were almost shoulder to shoulder because she had heels on. Yeah,
she is so tall and she's so nice. She was
wearing this dress that had like bat wings and it
was this like kind of like think Grecian statue. That's
what she looked like.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yes, okay, so.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
We want to take a photo. But there's no sleeve,
so I couldn't go around the bat wing. But there
was a small, like little hole. So she's like, put
your arm through the hole? Did you you put your
arm Pova's hole?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
I put my arm through the hole.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Oh my god, we took a photo.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Can we also talk about just the randomness of I'm
watching And by the way, if you haven't seen Ellen's post,
they're just incredible artificial. Ellen k I like almost did
a spit take when I just saw a flavor of
flame for no reason between you and your husband.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
I was like, why is flav there?

Speaker 1 (03:52):
He and Billy Jean King once again. They met through
Elf Cosmetics, okay, and they bonded and so he even
had an embroidered shirt on to commemorate her star with
her name on it. And they are just they are besties.
They're they're just really really good friends. A race car
driver Katherine Lake was there. She's gonna be racing with

(04:14):
NASCAR all year long. She's gonna come on the show.
But she is just so amazing, And I asked her too,
I go gots with all this Brad Pitt F one stuff.
You know, racing must just be red hot right now
for you too. And then you know, of course she's
a woman, So she said, F one's a little harder.
Oh really, not one woman in F one?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Oh interesting.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
I think we're gonna get Katherine in there. Ellen, you're
around where elm cas go you She's gonna grapa cold
no you?

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Ellen came on shot, Ellen came Morning Shot.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Going Inside Entertainment, coming up. Well, the hatchet has been
buried between two major stars. They've been Warren and they're
finally friends. And also the Zoey Kravitz and Channing Tatum
split up last October, all right, and that's when she
started a new movie with a new handsome leading man.

(05:17):
So now there's some connection there. I'll tell you about that. Plus,
we're putting magic in your morning Keep it here to
win your Way Independent Tellery post.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
One of three point five The ellen K Morning.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
Show follow ad official ellen K host one of three
point five Inside Entertainment with ellen K all.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Right, two stars Feuden and they have buried the hatchet.
Last weekend, Elton and Madonna are reconciled after a decades
long feud. She met him backstage at SNL. Madonna intended
to confront him, but Elton immediately said, forgive me. He
just blurted it out. The conflict began in two thousand
and two. Elton criticized Madonna's Die Another Day for being
the worst James Bond toon ever. He once compared Madonna

(05:55):
to a fair ground stripper. He also complained in an
awards show that she won for Best Live Act. Elton
said quote, since when has lip syncing been live? I
think everyone who lip syncs on stage should be shot,
thank you very much. And he said that on the BBC.
And at the time she was had a place in London,
so she watched it as it was happening. But now

(06:16):
everything is okay, So all right, what about this? Zoe
Kravitz and Austin Butler are the most recent Movie Coast
stars to start a romance. Friends say they're trying to
keep it quiet. Austin split from Kaya Gerber shortly after
making caught stealing last summer Coincidentally, in October, Zoe and
Chantatum ended their one year engagement. So now Austin and

(06:37):
Zoe have been spending time together. Their chemistry is as
good offscreen as it is on. So we'll keep our
eyes on that. See what's happening. There could be love
love in the air, all right. David Letterman returns to
Netflix for a new season of My Next Guest Needs
No Introduction. The first episode features a conversation with rookie
of the Year of the WNBA, Caitlin Clark. That's going

(06:59):
to be really fun and what about this? The ratings
are in for White Lotus Season three, Ryan Ellen, When Today, Today, Today?
All Right, Sunday, season finale of The White Lotus was
seen by six point two million viewers in the US viewership,
fifty one percent higher than the season two finale, So

(07:22):
it did amazing. That's huge. It chased Walton Goggins down
a red carpet recently because I just had to talk
to him and he said about the finale, buckle up.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
You know what I can tell you is once that
ball or that water starts to boil, it won't stop
until it flows over it. It was quite the journey
for me personally. I just can't wait for people to
see it.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
And do you have a receiving hairline? Walton Goggins does.
He also has the bald spot at the back of
the patch. Oh these are in and this is hot
and so embrace it if you have it, do not
cover it with a baseball cap. My mom better watch out,
oh because my dad has that going on.

Speaker 7 (08:06):
Tony.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
It's gonna get a lot of attention, even more attention.

Speaker 4 (08:12):

Speaker 4 (08:28):

Speaker 1 (08:29):

Speaker 4 (08:31):

she's nick you Riverside Community? Oh really yeah? Okay, they'll
have to they'll have to hook up. Which hospital do

(08:54):
You just won a pair of tickets to see Penn

Speaker 4 (09:01):
They kept bringing arena. I was like so close.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Well you got it. YouTube Theater like Ryan said, you know,

A three point five the only K Morning show every

Speaker 3 (09:56):
I don't know that you actually have any room for
this in your bed because you have I think eight pillows. Yes,
you have a husband, dog, Yeah, so you got you
got a lot going on in your bed. But for
the rest of us who sleep with a normal amount
of pillows and fewer animals, experts are saying, sleep with
a stuffed animal. And this goes for adults, you guys,
they are proven to be good for us. Holding a

(10:19):
stuffy is a good thing. It's a There's so many
reasons too, and it's really fascinating. They're often nostalgic symbols
of experiences or significant times in our life.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
So if you have like an old stuffed animal that
you've had your whole life, ye that dar do you?
I sleep with the Squish mellow? You do do every
news way better.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Than my pillow. Oh my kids.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Have like twenty of them.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Okay, and it happened by accident and now I can't
sleep without the Squash.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Star Wars Squish Mellow.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
So this is real life.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
You're doing it. Get everyone that you know one of these.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
For Eastern Oh.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
My god, I love it. It also represents and this
is so cool because I do. I live so far
away from all of my family and my loved ones.
They call it short cuts to connection. So if you're
far from a person you love and you have like
a memory of that person, it's a shortcut to connection
with that person.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
See, you probably dream about that person you love when
you hold that nostalgic squishy.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
They help us self soon regulate our emotions. And this
is even crazier. So I didn't realize this, but are
like old like primortal man. Yeah, there was they did
you guys know they all slept together. Social sleeping was
a thing.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Yes, I did know that because they did it for
just for body heating and also for protection. Yeah yeah,
social sp that might hear something another one doesn't, then
they would all yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
They would all snuggle up together. They all slept in
like we're hard wired.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
We do that.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
It's an evolutionary need to cuddle and snuggle something.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
And you don't even like cuddling, I know, but maybe
you'll cuddle with the stuff.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Dan, I'll do that because it won't make me hot,
and then I want to have to make her mad
by saying it away from me.

Speaker 6 (11:49):
Feel Good is coming up on The L and K
Morning Show. Coast one three point five.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
It's the L and K Morning Show. Oh my god,
you guys are amazing. You make my day, You make
my morning.

Speaker 7 (12:00):
Thanks and I love you all.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Post one o three point five.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Top Stories Top of the hour. Good morning, I'm Ellen K.
And years after a later last Call proposal was shut down,
it is back. California lawmakers are again pushing legislation to
extend closing time for bars across our state, including here
in La. As it stands, cut off is two am,
but they're looking for a four am extension. The goal,
they say, is to attract tourism and boost business. One

(12:26):
new catch this time is that local governments could create
hospitality zones in which establishments can stay open later if
they choose. We'll keep posted on how this one plays out.
And a Mancraft movie theaters are warning against disruptive behavior
at screenings. A police were called over some viral reactions
following the film's release on Friday, and it's a record
setting breaking box office hall. There's a scene which is

(12:53):
the Chicken Jockey all right, So it features Jack Black,
Steve and Jason Momoa's character Garrett in a box singing
where a baby zombie can be seen writing a chicken
as a result of the line itself becoming popular meme
because it's a really rare thing. In the Minecraft game,
Chicken Jockey also encourages kids to just go nuts in
the theater, and it was so disruptive police had to

(13:14):
be called several screenings of Minecraft. So if you do go,
just get ready for the chicken jockey scene. Here's a
lot of fun too. And after being honored at the
White House, the Dodgers dropped Game one to the Nats
in DC, despite show Hey going off three for four,
one homer, one walk to RBIs they do it again
today three forty five on the free iHeartRadio app. And
what about this? There's a genetics company that said is

(13:36):
bringing Game of Thrones dire wolves back from extinction. This
is a howl not heard in over ten thousand years.
How cute is that the team took DNA from a
thirteen thousand year old tooth and a seventy two thousand
year old school and made healthy dire wolf puppies. It

(13:57):
was once said that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable
from magic, and they have recreated the dire wolf. Next
up the wooly mammoth. We'll see they say that could
happen in twenty twenty six, sunny, clear, warmer, as nice
as it gets today with Tom's top and eighty even
toast here tomorrow nineties by Thursday is a beautiful week,

You just hit that microphone and you're in our studio.
We love having you here. Sabena Carpenter has arrived in
Fortnite as a season eight icon of Fortnite Festival Plus.
If you play Fortnite and get Sabrina skins and and
all that stuff, She's very excited.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
I don't know how Fortnite works. You wear her, I
guess is that.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
What that is?

Speaker 2 (15:13):
You're like her?

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Oh yeah, yeahs skins, yeah yeah, Minecraft Fortnite. It's all fun,
all it means for parents is more.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
What is that money called? Trust me? I know all
about it.

Speaker 7 (15:29):
Oh yeah, is there a daily spend limit? You can
have a monthly subscription to it?

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Got it?

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Okay, yeah, okay, yeah.

Speaker 7 (15:38):
It's Roebucks. Because I say roadblocks all the time, they're like, dad.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Dar, all right, well welcome here, coming up. We're gonna
send you the Kelly Clarkson in Las Vegas. It's a
two night's day. It's two tickets to her show. It's
a gas card for the road. All right, but first
talk back Tuesday. We got this one from Ricky.

Speaker 8 (16:01):
Hey Ellen, check this out. My husband just casually told
me this morning that he's taking our son to Coachella
this weekend, our fourteen year old son. Like this was
never even on our radar. We never discussed it. It's
totally random.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
He just said to me.

Speaker 8 (16:15):
I got two wristbands from me and Zach. We never
make decisions like this without consulting each other. I just
don't know where it's coming from. He doesn't see anything
wrong with it either, So I'm annoyed. I'm pissed.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Would you be okay?

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Thanks?

Speaker 4 (16:29):
Love you?

Speaker 1 (16:31):
She I'm so happy. Well, yes, because this is a
family decision, and as the mother of a son and
a husband, it's the three of us. So when we
do things, we do them together, and if they're going
to do two things together, it's always a discussion first. Now,
I do understand with Coachella this weekend, you know, he
could have been in the queue waiting to buy them

(16:52):
and just bought them. Because this has happened with my
husband and I before. He's like, we're going to spring training.
I just want to let you know, and I didn't
get a chance, Like what, I'm gonna call you and
miss the cue and you know what I mean. So
so it's act first, explain later. That's what I think
may have happened. I don't know. Or he just doesn't

(17:12):
want her to go to Coachella with them, and he
just wants to make it a daddy sun thing.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Which is fine, but maybe that should have been discussed. Look,
I think two things can be true at once. He
did mess up by not telling her, but I love
the idea of a spontaneous daddy son trip to Coachella.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
That's awesome too, me too. And maybe they do mommy
sun stuff all the time, and he just wants some
bonding town with his son. Plus at that age, I
think they're going to have such a good time.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
Gaga this Friday, Green Day, Ed Sheeran Saturday posty, she's
Sunday boiling at home.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
They got the wristbands, They're ready to be beautiful weather.
I think that what she needs to do is just
say look, I think it's not anger, it's hurt feelings.
This hurt my feelings. I'm all for it. I love
it when you guys spend time together, but like, even
if you're just thinking about it, shoot me a text
or something that give me the heads up. I'm glad

(18:05):
that he told her not the sign, because it would
have been really hurtful if the sun said, hey look
dad got us wristbands and they come in that nice
box and it's a whole thing.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
Do you think she's more upset about not being included
or not being consulted, not.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Being consulted, Yeah you do, Yeah, yeah, I think it's just.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
I think if she had something to do with it,
she would even be like, why don't you two just go?

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (18:28):
So she would support it if it were more discussed.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
And it's mad expensive sometimes, especially if you go last
minute and stuff, So it's eight hundred ninet two nine kost.
Has it ever happened to you? As the rug ever
been just ripped out from under your feet? And you're like,
what just happened? Again? The number eight hundred and nine
two nine Kost. It's a little dramatic, but that's kind
of feel Sometimes.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
There's more feel good.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
Next on the LK Morning Show, Coast one oh three
point five Wake Up with lank Hi.

Speaker 1 (18:57):

I say that it's still to my niece and nephew.

percent of people in this profession go commando. It's eight
hundred dred nine two nine kost. Let's get you to
Kelly Clarkson, what do you think it is? What profession

Twenty percent of people in this profession, go commando. Who
do you think it is?

Speaker 7 (21:08):
I thought lawyers from lawyers.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
A lot of people are saying lawyers at one time,
and this is why they're saying lawyers. At one time,
it was lawyers. Really, lawyers top this list twenty percent.
Now the numbers much higher for lawyers. But I don't
know why lawyers don't. We're underwear. And if you are
a lawyer and.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
You don't get go, ok you sure it's just not
the right answer.

Speaker 8 (21:31):

like a workout instructor, yoga instructor.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Okay, real big, Okay, what.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
Do you think?

Speaker 1 (22:02):
What do you think? Well, I think that could be possible,
just because you know, a lot of leggings have built
in stuff and maybe that's just more comfortable. And that's
a great guess, really good guess. It's not the right answer. Okay,
I try again, have a beautiful day. Let's go to Corey. Hi, Corey, Hi,

(22:26):
good morning, Corey and art director see me, Valley. What
do you think it is, Corey? I think it's a bartender,
a bartender, bartender. Well you, Corey are right, it is bartender.
You're going to Kelly Clarkson. There's no reason given this

(22:47):
is scientific research. Twenty of bartenders. I'll go commando and
you are going to Kelly Clarkson.

Speaker 6 (22:55):
Woo, thank you.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
I dated a bartender in Paula. Yeah, and that's why
that was my guest.

Speaker 7 (23:02):
He always waits comando and I didn't understand why.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
So I know there was a reason for dating him.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
You have real life proof.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
Technique. I see L and K.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Morning show you guys always are very humble, talk about
your problems, and you help other people with their problems.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
And you sound so genuine and so kind. And I
love you, guys.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
I listen to you every morning.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
Okay, all love you.

Speaker 8 (23:24):
Everybody loves you.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Post one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Top Stories Top of the Hour. Good morning, I'm Ellen
k And the historic Sarah's Building in Santa Monica has
just been given new life. It's been transformed into a
school for students at Pali Charter High starting at the
end of the month April twenty second series will become
campus for all who were displaced by the devastating Palisades
fire roughly three months ago. They've been doing remote learning

(23:48):
ever since. This is such great news. District leaders say
they hope to return to the original campus next school year,
but for now, CRUs are working fifteen hours a day
to get everything ready. I love that and always dream.
This is why a guy in Washington was going through
a rest stretch when he had a dream that he'd
become a millionaire. So when he woke up the next morning,

(24:08):
he went out and bought a lottery ticket and his
dream nailed at the ticket hit for one million dollars.
He'd even dreamed the numbers and he got it. And
we want to say congratulations to our friend Billy Jean King.
She got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Magic Johnson there to speak, Jamie Lee Curtis, I had
the pleasure of hosting Billy Jean King. Having such a

(24:30):
beautiful day.

Speaker 10 (24:31):
Welcome the sixty two eighty four Hollywood Boulevard.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Here we are.

Speaker 10 (24:39):
Thank you Steve, thank you Ellen, and thank you Irvin
and Jamie.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
So you can go by and see that. Just think
Hollywood and Vine and that is your newest star on
the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Way to go, Billy Jean King.
Thank you for your legacy and thank you for leading
with love. Sunny, clear, warm, as nice as it gets
today with temp's tuppy, eighty looks like nineties by Thursday,
Win year, you're gonna see eighty two for your high
who you go to eighty and right now it is

(25:07):
sixty in Burbank and we run on Celsius Energy drinks.
It's KOST Los Angeles Coast. One of three point five
talk back Tuesday and that's very farm tickets coming up.
Talk to us on the iHeartRadio app. Tap that microphone,
Wake up with Ellen, K.

Speaker 7 (25:23):
You guys are the best.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
I love listening to you. I listen to you every day.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
We'd love being here with you.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Post one oh three point by host Malone.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Will be at Coachella this weekend. Man me perfect weather
as well, so Coachella. Speaking at Coachella, we got this
talk back from Ricky.

Speaker 8 (25:43):
Hey, Ellen, check this out. My husband just casually told
me this morning that he's taking our son to Coachella
this weekend, our fourteen year old son. Like this was
never even on our radar. We never discussed it. It's
totally random. He just said to me. I got two
wristbands from me and Zach. We never make decisions like
this without consulting each other. I just don't know where
it's coming from.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
He doesn't see.

Speaker 4 (26:04):
Anything wrong with it either, So I'm annoyed. I'm pissed.

Speaker 8 (26:07):
Would you be okay?

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Thanks?

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Love you all right, Ricky, We love you back. Thank
you for using the talkback button on your iHeartRadio app. Yes,
I would be very upset. I would feel excluded, I
would feel ignored. I would feel like it's almost passive aggressive.
What did I do wrong? Did I do something to
cause this? Why was I not included in a family decision?
So yeah, I'd be really upset Ricky. I think that

(26:33):
when you're in Q, you know, and you're trying to
buy something really popular, you can make a decision. You
can buy it, but then explain it. I'm glad that
it doesn't sound like Ricky's sun told her first.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Yeah, that would have been a harder way to find out.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
That would have been brutal.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
I'd kind of like the idea though, of a dad
just kind of doing something spontaneous for his son. I
think that's fun.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
But you're used to making decisions just for yourself.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Wow, No, what is true?

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (27:01):
I thought that was a no, not at all.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
No, I'm just saying, oh, I see what you're saying,
because I don't disrespect it all. Okay, R I know
you you you can decide to do and and move
however you like.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Yeah, and encumbered, it's true, you know, I don't have
to consult anyone really about anything ever.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Yes, yeah, so that's you know, that's freedom for you
right there. In this case, I think that maybe the
husband just I don't know, maybe he forgot to tell her.
You probably spent a lot of money.

Speaker 7 (27:34):
I'm sure a ton of money because you know what
you see at festivals, right, guys, you see a lot
of skin these days.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
That's true. There's a lot of smoke in the air too.
Let's go to Gladys. Thank you Gladys for talking and
uh getting a hold of What would you do?

Speaker 4 (27:51):
I'd be like, too bad. You either sell the tickets,
lose take the l or we can go. But we're
not taking him. Okay, he's too young.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
We're hearing this from a lot of mothers this morning,
that fourteen is too young to go to Coachella. Thank
you so much, Gladys.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Thank you, thank you very much. I have a great day.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Okay. So it's an age thing for Gladys. For me,
it would just I would be more upset. The age
doesn't bother me as much as the not telling me
right and the knee jerk kind of I'm not I
got these and we're going with no discussion.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
Well, she I mean you can get a wristband, Ricky.
You could still go with that, you know what.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
That's true, but then it takes away from the father son.
I do like the father son angel. Yeah, I think
she i think she as a mother probably would love
it too. It's just the way she found out. Yeah,
I wants to Calvin and five of his friends too.
An event where Kendrick Lamar was on stage at the
Rose Bowl and he was the cloth. They were twelve,
Oh you guys, Okay, so it is Sean White. It's

(28:59):
called Aaron stuff. He'd have a giant snowboarding ramp and
then there would be bands there and it was great.
All the mothers were like yes, and they brought the
kids over to the house. We all piled into the
suv and I drove the boys to Kendrick Lamar. We're
at the Rose Bowl. Chaperone, my husband and I are
there and Sean says, hey, guys, I can get you

(29:22):
right up at the stage. And this is Kendrick Lamar
and he's really coming up. So all the boys are
up at the front of the stage. I didn't realize
how much smoke there would be, so I had to
call each mother afterward and say, we're driving through McDonald's.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
They're a little hungry, hungry, they're a little hungry.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 8 (29:42):
They're all right.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
I mean, I felt horrible, so maybe, you know, maybe
a fourteen year old shouldn't go to Coachella. How do
you feel about Ricky and the talkback? Her husband just
did it without consulting eight nine nine KOs.

Top story, top of the hour. Good morning, I'm ellen
K and guests on a whale watching expedition off the
coast in Newport Beach just got a super special treat.
A hump back got within feet of their boat to
say hi. The passengers are on the Cadillac ITTs of
vessel run by Davies Locker, A fifty footer easily sixty
thousand pounds showed up for what watchers call muggings. That's

(31:31):
when whales approach a boat to curiously inspect it. It usually
lasts about thirty minutes. The whale pops up, interacts with humans,
rolls over, almost smiling or laughing at times. The boat
captain says, these moments are exceptionally rare and always deeply moving.
So great and after being honored at the White House,
the Dodgers dropped Game one to the Nats in DC
despite show Hey going off three for four, one homer,

(31:53):
one walk to RBIs They'll do it again today three
forty five on the Free iHeartRadio app. Scientists have revived
the extinct dire wolf, which vanished ten thousand years ago.
The HBO series Game of Thrones popularized the extinct species.
The crest for the House of Stark featured the dire wolf.
Scientists manipulate the DNA with that of the gray wolf

(32:15):
to recreate the dire wolf. They also regard about one
hundred and fifty pounds compared to an adult gray that
reaches about one hundred. These dire wolves, two males and
a female, are being raised on a secure two thousand
acre nature preserved. The little puppies are howling already, so cute.
They're about six months old. And this House of Science says,

(32:37):
next up the wooly Man. They're going to try to
revive the wooly next year.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
All right.

Speaker 1 (32:42):

our studio, and thank you for taking us everywhere live
on the iHeartRadio app. Okay, so our talkback from Ricky.
She's upset coachell Is this weekend her husband about wristbands

(33:36):
for himself and their fourteen year old son. Most of
the mothers we've heard from this morning have said I
don't want my kid there because of the things they'll
see and some of the adult, you know, activities, the drinking,
they smoke things. There's a lot of smoke in the air,
so it's more of exposure. But for me, the big

(33:56):
hurt would be, well, my husband didn't tell me, and
I love that they're gonna have a buddy weekend, but
this is a big thing, like I have to find
someplace to stay if they're going to be there for
the weekend, and how come you didn't consult me? And
why not get three?

Speaker 3 (34:12):
Yeah, that's why she's hurt.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
I mean, yeah, I don't.

Speaker 8 (34:16):
I like.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
I like that the dad and the suner are doing
some cool together.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
They're gonna have a great time. Yeah, oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
And it encourages spontaneity. I just love that that. Hey,
let's go do this, buddy.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
You know the rest of the junior looking at each other.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
I know, but this is a single guy talking, right.
I love just to pick up and go.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
All right, Well, Chris, thank you so much. Talk about
not sharing with your mate. All right, Chris, So you
kept that big secret from your mate. In fact, you
still are. What is it said?

Speaker 4 (34:46):
I am a former FBI agent.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
You worked for the FBI and he doesn't know.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
I no longer work for them, but I did work
for them for five years.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Were you an agent?

Speaker 6 (34:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Undercover? Yeah, under another name?

Speaker 7 (35:03):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
How many passports do you have?

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Just one?

Speaker 1 (35:08):
How many did you have then?

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Like ten?

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Did you have wigs? I cut my hair a lot?
And did you have weapons?

Speaker 3 (35:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Are you like a ninja? No?

Speaker 3 (35:22):
But I.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
What an exciting life?

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Yeah, what's the reason you've kept out a secret?

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Chris?

Speaker 1 (35:33):
You know, like I did some stuff that I wasn't
really proud of it got it, you know what I'm saying,
and I i'd ram leave that behind.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, I never told anyone.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
