Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, good morning Coast. One of three point five. Happy Wednesday.
Em Melan King.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Hi, I'm Ryan Mana, I'm Social Queen Darling, and I'm
producer Mike Romos.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
All right, so I'm obsessed with the astronauts. I'm obsessed
with this early morning Dodger baseball. I love the sound
of it in the house. And we've got your opening
day tickets coming up too. We're gonna tell you how
you're gonna win those. But how is everybody's night?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
It was good?
Speaker 3 (00:25):
I'm with you on the early morning baseball. I really
wish we could just just randomly just jump up a
couple games to three am.
Speaker 4 (00:31):
I enjoy it, yau.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
It's nice to lay in bed, Yes, and it helps
you wake up.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
Yes.
Speaker 5 (00:36):
Yeah, it's very relaxing.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Really yeah, it really is.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
But I have a question for.
Speaker 5 (00:41):
You guys, because I just realized that we are really
close to spring break and I have kids, all of
them are in school, and I have no plans.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
I'm going to work.
Speaker 5 (00:54):
I get out of work early enough to still do stuff,
but I'm trying to be creative and think of fun
things to do to take them to get out of
the house because I already know they're going to go
stir crazy. And then I started thinking, Okay, for sure,
I'm going to take them to the VIP tour at
Crypto dot Com Arena, because that's like a fun experience.
But then it started I started thinking even more because
(01:16):
I was looking at pictures that they sent us to
promote these tours, and I started realizing how deep this
place goes for la, Like, you voiced Kobe Bryant's funeral.
That's significant. My mom went to Michael Jackson's funeral. She
won the lotto to go.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Yeah, it was there.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
And then I was thinking of one of my most
memorable concerts. It's like a toss up between Adele and
Justin Timberlake. And it was the first time that I
bought tickets using a third party app that we're fake. Oh,
so when I showed up, they were like, sorry, man,
these are not real and we spent like hundreds of dollars.
(02:00):
I don't even know how we figured it out, but
we were able to watch the show. So I want
to ask you, guys, what is like that memorable moment
from Crypto dot Com that you'll I know for you
it's Kobe by far Yeah, because you saw Michael Jack.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
But I have another, you know, a second place, and
that would be working two shows, one at Crypto and
one at Microsoft, and then having to run from one
through the tunnel to the next show, and being in
that tunnel that connects the two. It goes forever, and
(02:32):
it turns and it's really wide and white, and it's
lined with all the historical photos of everyone who's performed
in there, and they keep adding more and so to me,
that was just like I really felt at that moment,
and also voicing Kobe's funeral, like I felt like a
part of the city. Yeah, I feel like, Wow, I
(02:54):
wasn't born here, my family's not from here, but I
feel like I am.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Yeah, you definitely are.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
That's good.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
What about you, Mike.
Speaker 6 (03:04):
My favorite moment was probably one time I attended the
Grammys and I was backstage and it was the year
ur H and Daft Punk one for Get Lucky Yeah,
And so I wanted to attend because I wanted to
see the robots come out.
Speaker 7 (03:18):
So I got to see them.
Speaker 6 (03:19):
We were backstage and they came out through this one
door and I was standing right there, and that moment,
I'll never forget that moment.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
That's cool.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Let's see. For me it's there's a tie. It would
be taking my mom to see Michael Buble.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Oh yeah, oh my god, for sure.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
And then two taking Ellen and Calvin to their very
first w w A.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
It was there, and it was at that moment because
I would I would always tease you Ryan about how
I don't understand wrestling. Why are you into it? This
is a thing for little kids. I get it for
dads and sons, but I didn't get it for adult
male males. And so Ryan invited us, and he with
his lady. At that time, they had front row seats.
(04:08):
We were like four or five six rows back. Ours
were still really really good.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
But Ryan let Calvin have his plus one ticket, so
Calvin sat with Ryan right in the front row. When
something big happened, that's cool. I don't remember who it
was or what it was, but it was big and
we had a blast. We bought the belt. You know,
(04:34):
I just felt like and now I get it, Yeah,
I get it. Like that just teaches you don't judge
anything until you've tried it, whether it's an event, a person,
or food.
Speaker 7 (04:44):
YEP.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
It also teaches us like these moments is what life
is all about.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Yeah, you know, like.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
Being in the moment remembering these things. Yes, So that's
why I'm really excited that our listeners get to join
us for this Crypto dot Com Arena tour.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
And that's so cool.
Speaker 8 (05:00):
The llen k Morning Show on Coast one of three point.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Five and we love being here with Yeah, Coast one
of three point five. On your Wet Nose Wednesday.
Speaker 9 (05:07):
I'm Ellen Kiss, get a going, I'm Ryan Manow, I'm
Social Queen Darling.
Speaker 7 (05:10):
And I producer Mike Romos.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
All right, so I saw a tweet by Moby and
we haven't heard from Moby in quite a while. I
guess I should say an ex post by Moby. And
Moby said he was hiking in Laurel Canyon and he
came across something really cool and it is the Stick
Library for Dogs. Oh that great. Yeah, it's you know,
(05:33):
like a book library. You see those randomly around and
they've had one in Runyon before, where you give a book,
borrow book whatever. They also do it with inspirational sayings whatever.
So Moby found the Stick Library and shared it. So
we'll be telling you where you can get in on
the stick library here on your wet nose Wednesday, Adopt,
(05:54):
don't shop. Our favorite doggie here in California is the
French bulldog.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Three years straight. It really has had a resurgence.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
It was fourteenth like a couple like ten years ago
knocked off the Labrador Retriever, which was thirty one years
on top.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Oh my gosh, that's a huge knockoff. Well, my friend
Glenn has one and he's really really sweet. He's mister
King Macaroon.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
That's his name, King Macaroon.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
He's the King King Macaroon. I've known since he was
just a little baby. And if you're a French bulldog lover,
we hear you on that one. All right, comeing up,
we're gonna go inside entertainment. Something super awkward happened on
a red carpet. I don't even know if this marriage
is gonna lie. I'm gonna say the marriage is already over.
(06:41):
There are a lot of kids involved. I would hate
to see it end. You'll make your own judgment.
Speaker 9 (06:46):
Coming up Coast one O three point five The Ellen
k Morning shown Inside Entertainment with Ellen k Okay.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
So Ryan Reynolds asked a court yesterday she just miss
justin Baldoni's legal claims against him, saying the actor cannot
sue him over hurt feelings. Reynolds was accused in the
lawsuit of mocking and bullying Baldoni by using the character
of nice Pool in Deadpool and Wolverine to satirize Baldoni's
woke feminist image. So in emotion to dismiss renald lawyer
(07:15):
did not dispute that nice Pool is based on Baldoni,
but said Baldoni had shown thin skinned outrage by complaining
about it, So we'll see what happens there.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
This is getting ridiculous. I mean, it has been ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Whenever they didn't just settle out of courts. So we
have to talk about it anymore, all right. Lolla Palooza
re Lisair official lineup for the summer's music festival Chicago's
Grant Park four days. Headliners Olivio Rodrigo, Tyler The Creator,
Sabrina Carpenter Asap, Rocky Got Luke Combe's first time a
country guy's ever been in Lallapalooza, and it's the first
time a rock band has not opened headlined Lolla Palouza.
(07:55):
What about Gracie Abrams he got doci all kinds of
acts Phineas ticket pre sale featuring discount of four day tickets.
So if you've never been, and you've never even been
to Chicago, it's a really fun festival. Kelly Clarkson re
turned to her daytime talk show. She did not address
why she's been missing an action for two weeks. She'll
(08:16):
be out again today. Andy Cohen is slated to host
The Kelly Clarkson Show. The Instagram account for the show
posted the rest of this week's guests. They include Tyler
Perry and Ellen Pompeo. Kelly will be back at the
end of the week. Her absence has been very personal matter,
that's all she has said. Some people are saying, is
this about money? Are you renegotiating? Or is it about
(08:39):
maybe a court day that has to do with her
ex husband? Who knows? But Kelly back later on this week,
all right. Disney's live action Snow White is tracking toward
a fifty million debut. Previews of the movie, starring Rachel
Ziggler and Gala Gadot start Thursday afternoon. Ticket pre sales
have gone predominantly to women under the age thirty five,
(09:01):
so it's going to be a winner. Gal Gado got
her star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. I
had to be tentted because she's pro Israel. Rachel's Aglarius
pro Palestine. There's been a lot of drama around this anyway.
I know that you went to see it last night, Ryan.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
I saw it with our friend Amanda Salas from Fox eleven.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
I went in hearing some not so great things about
maybe the CGI, you know, the seven Dwarves, all this stuff.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
I loved it, Oh good, loved it. It is a
visual feast. Kids are going to go crazy for this.
There's enough to keep adult hook. The music is wonderful.
If you're looking for something to do next week on
spring break, I know lausd is on spring break.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Perfect thing to take the kids to see.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
There are many actors here in town who would have
loved to play the dwarves. Yeah, they are protesting because
the dwarves are animated. Do you think that they could
have used humans instead of animation.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
They could have, and there are actual little people in
the movie, so they did cast some little people actors,
but just for the dwarves, the CGI is next level.
It's really good. They could have probably yes, used real humans. Okay,
but it doesn't you don't you don't really get too
distracted by the CGI.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Okay are they? Are they in the movie quite a bit?
Oh yeah, okay, all right.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
It's awesome. It's really really good.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Oh I'm so happy to hear that. Okay, what about this?
Her name is Ilaria Elaria Baldwin. I don't know if
you watched The Baldwins, their reality show. I did one.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
See I can't do it?
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Yeah, yeah, seven kids, it's mayhem.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Anyway, they were on a red carpet and a lot
of people are saying, I knew that Ilaria was awful
when she pretended to have a Spanish accent and changed
your name. But my god, when you hear this, what
a total bach.
Speaker 10 (10:41):
No. No, I think we're gonna see you know, it's
we're going to see how it feels to have it
be out there this ye oh my god, when I'm talking,
you're not talking.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
No, when I'm talking, you're not talking.
Speaker 8 (10:52):
This is why.
Speaker 10 (10:52):
Yes, we'll have to like just pat him out of
the show.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
No, I mean, and then he tried to walk away.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
He didn't you know that?
Speaker 3 (11:02):
John Travolta meme from pulp Fiction where he's just like,
that's what he looks like.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Poor Alec Baldwin. Or is Alec Baldwin doing this to
try to get sympathy?
Speaker 2 (11:10):
I don't know that was wrong?
Speaker 4 (11:11):
What does she have over him?
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Like?
Speaker 5 (11:13):
How can you talk to your partner like that?
Speaker 11 (11:15):
I may?
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Can?
Speaker 2 (11:15):
I want to again?
Speaker 1 (11:17):
I don't know.
Speaker 10 (11:20):
No, no, I I think we're gonna see, you know,
it's we're going to see how it feels to have
it be out there this year. Oh my god, when
I'm talking, you're not talking. When I'm talking, you're not
talking talking.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Let's get back to something.

next year on Coast.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Something you did not know you can do and should
do when you're doing laundry.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Okay, never heard of this before. It's going viral. It's
a game changer.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
You do have laundry. I know you wash and then
you dry, but then you leave it in the dryer. Yeah,
all right, I do the laundry predominantly in my family.
Sometimes her husband kicks in dark.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
Oh I live with laundry, laundry, what's that?
Speaker 7 (13:35):
Oh boy?
Speaker 8 (13:37):
Loving the ll K Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Hey Ella and all you guys are amazing.
Speaker 13 (13:41):
You make a flat. We just were laughing so hard.
Speaker 8 (13:43):
Make us a preset on your iHeart radio app.
Speaker 12 (13:45):
We need some laughter right down. You guys are awesome,
so kind.
Speaker 8 (13:48):
Great The lank Morning Show Coast one O three point five.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
I say chores are good for the soul. I find
the relaxing. They are stress relievers. If you ever like,
just turn on the back or sweep. I love to sweep,
and I don't mind doing laundry either. I like to
separate the whites from the darks, and then I throw
in a little bit of that oxy stuff.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
Oh yeah, I love oxy white.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Isn't it so good?
Speaker 5 (14:12):
It doesn't mess up your colored clothes.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Yeah, but it makes your whites whiter and brighter.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
Ryan, I have to do one loaded day to keep up.
That's quit my family of five sometimes too.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Oh my god, so athletes, you have a baby baby, Yeah,
you've got a lot going on.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
Yeah, it's a lot.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
I just do it on Sunday. I just have one
day for laundry.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
One day laundry.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
A life of a bachelor.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
We're like twice a week. I would say we could
save it all for one day, and sometimes we do.
Speaker 14 (14:39):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Yeah. Mike Ramo's our newest member to the family, is
shaking his head. No, he doesn't do. But but you
were out here without your family before they moved here
from Indiana and you had to do some laundry.
Speaker 6 (14:50):
I was forced into it. Yeah, so I would okay,
did all right, But I don't know it was. It
was not like like amused to. I guess, do you
know how to fold a shirt? No, I can't say
that I do. I just hang it up, dry it
up in the bathroom or something. I don't know, hang
it up in the bathroom.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
I guess whatever works for you, Mike, Today's happiness hack
is gonna work for everybody.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Are you Ellen?
Speaker 4 (15:15):
You are?
Speaker 2 (15:16):
I do believe you're a liquid detergent?
Speaker 7 (15:18):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (15:18):
I am liquid pods?
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Okay, So you know how your cap gets all gunky
when you pour it, like you pour the stuff in
and then you transfer it. You poured it in the
cap right, and then you pour it into the did
you guys know, and this is going viral that every
brand of liquid detergent says to throw the cap in
with your laundry.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Oh, so that there's no gunk.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
There's never gunk.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
I see, So you're supposed to rinse it after every use,
or better yet, just throw the whole cap in there.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Oh, no one's gonna rinse their cap.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
No, who would rinse their cap?
Speaker 1 (15:48):
No? Yeah, I say those wide mouths, so that when
the cap goes back on, it doesn't drip down the bottle, right,
it stays within. But that does get it gets a wes.
I mean it's got a barrier, yep. But yeah, still,
that's that's really good. So throw the cap in with
the laundry.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
I throw my cap away, No, dar, after, what do
you mean here for you?
Speaker 4 (16:08):
I don't use it.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
You just wait. You have an open bottle of detergent
right now?
Speaker 5 (16:12):
Yes, and then I just pour it right into the
container that's in my washer. Oh, because it has like
a little fill line.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Yeah. Yeah, that's a good way.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Okay, throw your capin.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (16:25):
There's more feel good on the L and K Morning Show.
Coast one O three point Wake Up with lan.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
K Hi, this is Tiffany Hattison.
Speaker 6 (16:32):
You're listening to the llen K Morning Show Coast one
O three point five.
Speaker 5 (16:38):
She ready keep.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
It top stories, top of the hour. Good morning of
ellen K and the Dodgers getting it done again early
this morning in Japan, sweeping the Cubs in this historic
season opening set big bats for our boys in Blue.
Tommy Edmund kick K Japan's favorite son show. Hey, let's
go to the top of the fifth inside the Tokyo Dome,
which came on glued when they're hometown hero belt at
(17:00):
a bomb.
Speaker 8 (17:01):
We dumped it and played for a moment.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Bow Tony cracks one up and he gives the fans
who they have been waiting for this first of the year,
and we are hearing that the team's having such a
great time. They could stay a little bit longer, but
they can't. The team lands back here tomorrow. Three more
spring training games with the Angels before the home open
next week. We have your tickets. Of course, we're gonna
hook you up for opening day with the Dodgers, all right.
(17:25):
Investigators are working to determine whether the deadly edenfire was
ignited by a so called zombie power line owned by
so Cal Edison. There's a leading theory that the actual
line had been out of service since nineteen seventy one,
but became re energized by electromagnetic induction. Several lawsuits are
blaming SCE for failing to maintain equipment. So proven true,
(17:46):
that is going to be a big blow. And speaking
of big blows, this is interesting. Billionaire businessman and runner
up in LA's last mayoral race, Rick Caruso says he's
strongly opposed to a recall effort against Karen Bass, her
one time opponent. Russo says austing her is a terrible,
horrible idea quote. This is a time when LA needs unity,
(18:06):
not costly and expensive political distractions. Good point, Rick, And
today is the day this Swallows returned to San Juan
Capistrano here on March nineteenth, Saint Joseph Day. Their migration
has been marked for generations. Cliff Swallows, our cousins of
barn Swallows and purple Martins, and so they will be
there San Juan Capistrano. Big parade in their honor coming
(18:28):
up on Saturday. So it's our nicest day in a
long time. Sunny, clear, little windy, warmer, highs around seventy five,
our last day of winter. We say hello to spring tomorrow. Irwin,
do she's seventy five per year high, Irvin, you go
to seventy right now? It is fifty Burbank. We run
on Celsa's Energy drinks its kost Los Angeles Coast one
(18:49):
of three point five. So who do you love more?
Your mother or your spouse? Got a letter from Sergio
Sergio's and a bit of a bun share that with you.
Plus we're gonna send you c Rod Stewart for a
whole weekend. You're Ellen KQ and a coming.
Speaker 9 (19:05):
Up It's the Ellen k Morning Show. I love you guys.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
You are wonderful and you and hunts my morning and
you enhance ours.
Speaker 8 (19:15):
But being there Coast one o three point five and.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Happy Wednesday too. Yeah, we get your letters to Ellen.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Right to Ellen for advice because she's seen a thing
or two.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
She is Ellen. Okay. So I'm in a room with
three of my besties and we all love, worship and
are close with our mothers. My mother, Eileen was my rock.
We talked about everything. Ryan. I know that you and
your mama are so close.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
I am a proud mama's boy. Have been forever.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Darlene, you and Laura are like you're like bestie sisters
and mother daughter.
Speaker 4 (19:53):
Yeah, we talk and text every day.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
And Mike, your mama is up in heaven with mine,
and I know how very, very close you are with
your mom.
Speaker 7 (20:02):
Yeah. I was always the MoMA's boy too.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Well.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
We got a letter from Sergio and Buena Park. Dear Ellen,
my name is Sergio. I'm newly married. Last month was
my mom's birthday, so I said, choose any restaurant you
want to go to. I promise I'll take you out
for dinner. She chose her favorite. It's a seafood restaurant.
She was so excited and she quickly picked her favorite
seafood restaurant. She also went and bought a new outfit.
(20:26):
This was going to be a big night out. Problem is,
my wife doesn't like seafood and wanted me to break
my promise to my mom and said, let's just choose
a different restaurant. Your mom's not going to care. After
arguing for a month with my wife, getting the cold
shoulder and hearing about how I shouldn't choose my mom
over my wife, I decided on keeping my promise to
(20:47):
my mom good. We went to her favorite seafood restaurant.
We had a great time, but my wife did not.
She sat through dinner. She was noticeably unhappy and grumpy.
Ever since then, I've been hearing all about how I
made the wrong choice and how SHE'LLI will I never
forget how I chose my mom over her. It's affecting
(21:08):
our relationship in a bad way. We are so distant.
This is supposed to be our honeymoon phase. Was I
wrong in choosing my mom over my wife? Sergio Buayna Park,
I mean not at all.
Speaker 7 (21:23):
No, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (21:24):
But the wife's going to be, you know, in his
life forever now, and he's not going to stop hearing
about it.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Then he chose wrong, you mean chose wrong when he right?
Like if you're going to have that bad behavior over
something that's just so important to the mom and and
I would think insignificant to you, like, suck it up
and go, this is what she wants. This is This
is the woman who gave birth to your your husband,
(21:51):
your love, She raised him, you fell in love with him.
This woman brought him into the world and made him
the man he is today. And look what he did
he chose you should want that? Right? That's what I think.
I mean. I'm so mad at her. I don't even
know who she is.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
I am as someone who lives two thousand miles away
from my mom and I get to see her twice
a year if I'm lucky.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
You have to think, how many more birthday meals do
we have with our mom?
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Right? Right?
Speaker 2 (22:20):
How many more meals do you have with your wife?
A lot? Yes, you have far fewer with your mother. Exactly,
you prioritize your mother.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
My husband wor always put my mom first. He would
like make special trips to go get anything she wanted.
If she said I want to eat salty, blanded Norwegian food,
he'd be there smiling at the table. You know, yes,
let's do it, this is what she wants. Yeah. So
I don't know, Sergio, I don't know if anyone's gonna,
(22:49):
you know, side with your wife on this one. But
you weren't wrong in choosing your mom over your wife.
I don't know, are we unanimous? I vote?
Speaker 2 (22:57):
I think it is yay for mom, yay for mom.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
The first time we're ananymous I think, yeah, but.
Speaker 6 (23:02):
What if the wife's allergic? To liked.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
There's no one if eight hundred and nine two nine kost.
Speaker 9 (23:10):
Find your feel good here on the L and K

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Elton John and Brandy Carlisle will have a concert special
earon on CBS in April. That was just announced this morning. Uh,
there's Elton John on Coast one of three point five.
So he and Rod go way back. They are best friends.
They even have nicknames for each other. And they gave
each other engraved rolex watches, I mean diamond rolexes. Right,
(23:55):
So Rod wrote on the back of Elton's watch two
Sharon Love Phyllis, and then Elton wrote on the back
of Rod's watch to Phyllis loves Sharon anyway. So now
we have Rod for you in Vegas and this is
a hot ticket. It's a whole getaway. Encore shows his
(24:16):
Las Vegas residency at the Coliseum at Caesar's and you
get two nights you're going to say, you're going to
get a gas cart for the road and two tickets
to the show at Caesar's. So all you have to
do is be the first caller with the right answer,
and yes, more of your calls and your comments about
our letter from Sergio he chose his mom over his
(24:36):
wife for birthday dinner. She's not having it. But here
it is. You're Ellen KQ. And a twenty percent of
us would give up our phones forever for this. What
do you think it is?
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Forever?
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Forever? Whoa twenty percent of us would give up our
phones forever for this? What could be? I don't know.
So tantalizing. It's eight hundred and nine two nine kost
and we're going to get your guests next.
Speaker 9 (25:07):
This is what you are listening to, the Ellen k
Morning Show on Coast one o three point five.
Speaker 8 (25:14):
It's the llen k Q and A on Coast one
oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Let's go to Victorville.
Speaker 11 (25:19):
Hi, Kathy, good morning. How are you guys?
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Well, we're good, it says here Victorville thirty three degrees currently, yes,
oh no, definitely sweater weather. Yes, well, Kathy, welcome to
the llen k Q. And a twenty percent of us
would give up our phones forever for what.
Speaker 12 (25:42):
I'm gonna say, coffee for coffee.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
So we would trade our phones for coffee for life.
That's a good guess. It's not the right answer.
Speaker 12 (25:52):
Oh dang, okay, I'll try a get more.
Speaker 9 (25:54):
Okay, thank you, Hi, Dina, Hi there, how are you?
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Hey, Dina?
Speaker 1 (25:59):
We're doing and good. So you're at school drop off
in Highland? How many kids?
Speaker 15 (26:04):
Oh?
Speaker 13 (26:05):
Just one of school age right now?
Speaker 12 (26:06):
I have three total, but they're out of school.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Oh okay, all right, and you have an interesting guest here.
So twenty percent of us would give up our phones
forever for.
Speaker 12 (26:15):
What to have our children listen to us.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
It's like, here's my phone. I just want good behavior
and I want my kids.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
To hear me.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
That's a great guess. You're the only one to guess that.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
It's unique.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
But it's not the right answer.
Speaker 12 (26:33):
That's okay, I thought I tried.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
All right, Thanks Tina. Christa oh fourth grade? Hi, Hi,
Hi Christa, welcome, thank you. So do you love school?
Speaker 11 (26:46):
I wouldn't say love. I would say it's kind.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Of like, okay, all right, Christa well, what's your guests?
So twenty percent of us giving up our phones forever
for what?
Speaker 13 (27:01):
For love?
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Oh? For love?
Speaker 1 (27:05):
Okay, christa for love. That's a really deep guess. It's
a great guess and it's the right answer.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
You're right.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Oh my god, Rod Stewart in Vegas a two night hotel,
say gas card for the road?
Speaker 11 (27:23):
Oh my god, I can't wait. Oh my god.
Speaker 8 (27:26):
Yeah, thank you?
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Is your mom with you or your dad?
Speaker 3 (27:29):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (27:30):
We got to school?
Speaker 12 (27:32):
Thank you so much?
Speaker 4 (27:34):
Thank you? Are you kidding?
Speaker 8 (27:35):
It is love?
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Twenty percent of us would give up our phones forever
for love, not to be forever young like Rod sings,
but for love. We've got Rod Vegas getaways all week
along with your.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
I'd rather be alone with my phone.
Speaker 4 (27:53):
I know you. That's where you'll be on your life.
Speaker 14 (27:56):
It was the best place tops the book is where
we are. Me and my friends sat at the table
doing shots first, and then he talk slow and come
home and start up a conversation with just me and
trust me, I'll give it to just nounce my hands,
stop defend the man on the jukebox, and then we
start to dancing now singing like O you know, won't.
Speaker 8 (28:17):
Show la waits up ELLENK Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Good morning, I'm ellen K. And after nine months stranded
in orbit, NASA astronauts Sunny Williams Butch Wilmore have finally
returned to Tara Firma and splashed down Crew nine back
on Earth. I don't know, am I the only one
who was crying and watching them get back.
Speaker 14 (28:47):
UH.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
So they were put on stretchers, which is customary for
astronauts because you've been in zero gravity for so long.
They also had their first breath of fresh air in
two hundred and ninety or seventy eight uncertain days, and
UH recommended that they have steak and eggs. They need
a ton of protein. There's been muscle mass loss, bone loss,
all kinds of things. We're told the astronauts do not
(29:09):
have an appetite yet, but as they get reacclimated, when
they do first eat, it will be steak and eggs.
The parizone to Johnson Space Center right now in Houston.
They'll spend several days being evaluated by a doctor's And
what about this some happy news. Disneyland's Jolly Holiday Bakery
Cafe is reopening and they're dropping new menu items when
(29:32):
it comes back on Saturday. The popular main street eatery
has been closed for months during a major reefer. But
it's done and ready to roll, all new and shiny
for you this weekend. Okay, our nicest day in a
long time, sunny, clear, little windy, warmer, highs around seventy five.
It's our last day winter spring. Tomorrow looks even nicer,
but you're looking at highs all the way up to
(29:52):
seventy five. It is fifty five now here in Burbank,
and we run on Celsia's energy drinks. It's Kost Los
Angeles Coast one o three point five and coming up
you are listening for losing my religion are em. The
second it begins, we call her twenty. It's one thousand dollars.
Speaker 8 (30:10):
For it's the lank morning shell.
Speaker 12 (30:12):
You guys do a great job, and thank you for
starting my morning every day. I appreciate you all so much.
Speaker 8 (30:17):
Cost one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
It is your letters to Ellen. We share them with
you every Monday and Wednesday today from Sergio and Wada Park.
He chose his mother over his wife when it came
to his mom's birthday celebrations. She wanted to go to
our favorite restaurant, which is what he promised. The wife protested,
he chose the mom over his wife. You have thoughts,
(30:40):
I'd love to hear from you. It's eight hundred ninet
two nine kost. I think more phone calls on this
than than any other letter we've so we'll get to
your opinions coming up next sound post.
Speaker 8 (30:53):
It's the Lank Morning Shell.
Speaker 12 (30:55):
Oh, you guys are awesome. I really do appreciate you guys,
And honestly, you guys are on all the time.
Speaker 11 (31:00):
Either on the radio in the car or at home.
Speaker 8 (31:03):
Coast one o three point bo.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
All right, it is your letters to Ellen.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Right to Ellen for advice because she's seen a thing
or two.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
She is Ellen. You know we hear that, but I
never really listened to it. Farmers and farmers. Yeah, okay,
your letters to Ellen. This one comes from Sergio in
Buena Park. He writes, Dear Ellen, my name is Sergio
(31:31):
and I'm newly married last month. I want to take
my mom out to dinner. I said, Mom, anywhere you
want to go. Let's go to your favorite seafood restaurant.
She was so excited, bought a new outfit. I took
her out to dinner. My wife tried to stop it.
She said, we don't need to go there. I don't
like that restaurant. Blah blah blah. I chose my mom
over my wife, my newly married wife, because she's my mom.
(31:55):
And now his wife froze him out during the dinner.
She was there, she wasn't she wasn't smiling, she wasn't talking.
She was being, in my opinion, a brat. You know,
this is your husband's mother and you're at the restaurant
she wants to go to suck it up. You can't
not go. We've had a lot of callers say don't go.
(32:16):
She shouldn't have gone, but I think you need to go.
You need to you need your part of the family.
You married into this family.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Not going is also it's so ugly. It's a sign
of it's like a protest almost, and just go.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Yeah, I just go, just go and smile. Yes, But
she didn't. She went, and she was a brad about
it anyway, So Sergio Buena Park. He doesn't know what
to do. He said, was I wrong for choosing my
mom over my wife? That's the question. Let's go to
Santa Clarita. Yolani, what do you say he.
Speaker 11 (32:46):
Did the right thing. We only have one mother and
one father, partners, girlfriends, has spouss come and go. So
I am so happy that he shows his mom and
she can get an uber meal to.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Her house, right, like, don't even go well, not even
that she should have gone with a big smile. Eat
what you want. I go out with meat eaters all
the time. I always find something ye may to eat.
Speaker 11 (33:11):
Exactly, and like Ryan express, he did lucky he sees
his mom twice.
Speaker 12 (33:17):
You know.
Speaker 11 (33:17):
So people need to learn how to appreciate our parents
and our grandparents, and you know one let him know
that I know a very good divorced lawyer.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Okay, thank you, o'lanni. Have a great day.
Speaker 11 (33:28):
We'll let him know how wonderful day you guys. You
guys make my day every day.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
Thank you, Olani a divorce lawyer. See, I don't want
to see a marriage and in divorce like that.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
The first year is usually the honeymoon period. I say,
after the second year, you start feeling it and it
gets a little challenging. And I've been married over ten years.
I'm gonna tell Sergio invite her to therapy. I think
hearing it from a therapist is gonna either change or
break the situation.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Okay, yeah, that could be. They're newly married. This should
not be. And also what happened leading up to the marriage.
I'm wondering, is Sergio a mama's boy? And did he
side with a mama a lot?
Speaker 3 (34:14):
Well, even if it's still your mother and it's her birthday,
so no matter what you know, there could be a
history there. Ellen, you're right, But on this special day
for your mom, make it about your mom.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
I agree, and go go along with it, smile through it.
You're part of it now. You chose him, he chose you. You're married.
You're married into the family, and no matter what kind
of family you're in, there are a lot of blended families,
probably more than ever now, and you know that that's
a part of it.
Speaker 10 (34:44):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (34:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:45):
One of my friends is dating a divorce man who
has two grown sons, and she was so interested in
meeting them. He waited a long time and finally introduced them,
and she adores them, and she loves him even more
because now she says, you and your ex wife have
raised the most amazing young men, and if they ever
(35:06):
end up together, I know that they'll all get along.
You know.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Yeah, think about you and Mike. You guys, your moms
are angels in heaven. How much would you give for
one more birthday meal with your mother?
Speaker 1 (35:18):
Right?
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Oh my god, don't take it for granted.
Speaker 7 (35:21):
I definitely would.
Speaker 6 (35:22):
But he is going to have to hear this for
the rest of his life, even long after his mom's gone.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
So from the wife, well, unless they go to therapy
and work it out, because if she's gonna nag like
that over this, this is not a big deal. And
in that case, you're you've really gone into other territories.
Like did you see Ilaria Baldwin and Alec Baldwin on
the Red Carpet. They've got a reality show. If you
(35:53):
watch the show, it's it's it is awkward. It's an
awkward show. They have the seven kids who are so cute.
Alex Baldwin suffers from OCD. He admits it, so she's
always kind of I don't know, she's making jabs at him.
About it. He just likes to line up the scooters.
It's part of what makes him feel comfortable. And then
(36:14):
she makes fun of him in the show. But this
is real life. This is a red carpet. Listen to
what she did.
Speaker 10 (36:21):
No, No, I think we're going to see you know,
it's we're going to see how it feels to have
it be out there this year. Oh my god, when
I'm talking, you're not talking.
Speaker 12 (36:30):
No, when I'm talking, you're not talking.
Speaker 8 (36:32):
This is why.
Speaker 10 (36:33):
Yes, we'll have to like just pat him out of
the show.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
No, I mean he was saying nice things, You're a winner, It's.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Going to be great, and then he just slowly wandered
off in the background.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
So, Sergio, are you married to an Ilaria or can
you work it out? Eight hundred nine nine kost plus
you're l and K one K paida one thousand dollars
just ahead, ari em lose my religion. You're listening for
That song could have an any moment.

Coast one three point five.
Speaker 7 (37:17):
I love you so much.
Speaker 13 (37:18):
Ellen.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Sergio, writing as a letter today letters to Ellen and
his newly married bride, did not take well to him
choosing his own mother over what his bride wanted, over
what his new wife wanted, and it came to his
mother's birthday.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
Think about their wedding planning. What a nightmare she must
have been.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Or maybe the mother was a nightmare and we just
don't know the whole story. Maybe Sergio is such a
mom a's boy that he constantly chooses mommy over his
new wife. Maybe there is an underlying issue problem, and
this is just like we were talking about earlier, the
tipping point where she threw a hissy fit because she
(37:58):
didn't want to go to a seafood restaurant. Andrew's mother
wanted to go to her favorite seafood restaurant. So it's
I don't think it's about a restaurant. I don't think
it's about a birthday. I think it's about power and control.
What do you say we go to lax? He's Andrew?
All right, Andrew, you're on.
Speaker 13 (38:16):
I mean jeez, a mama. It's a serious, serious and
loving issue. Number one, marriages work, and two it's one
of many issues that they would have to come together
in agreements if they ever consider to having their marriage
the last.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
Okay, right, So do you think that she needs counseling
or they need couples counseling, or do you think that
he chose wrong? I don't know. He made a commitment,
but right, and.
Speaker 15 (38:44):
And you know what, and there's nothing wrong with marriage counseling.
There's nothing wrong with counseling. Being a man in a
marriage and a relationship with your mama, it takes work.
You don't have to be able to simplify, and you
have to be able to help you make both of
them happy, you know, I mean I believe the same.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
Well, thank you for your opinion and weigh in. I'm sir.
Sergio appreciates it. Also, we love you.
Speaker 13 (39:07):
Thank you, I appreciate you.
Speaker 12 (39:09):
Guys.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
Have a good day.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
Yeah you too. That's Andrew at lax. All right, so
far what I'm hearing, and correct me if I'm wrong.
People are siding with Sergio and kind of demonizing this
new wife.
Speaker 6 (39:26):
Or maybe maybe hear me out, Maybe the wife's pregnant,
she can't.
Speaker 9 (39:36):
Feel good, continues next on the llen K Morning Show,

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Okay, because yesterday the date for one of our Collor
twenties who won a thousand dollars was in the bathroom
hiding from her boss. Where are you?
Speaker 12 (40:18):
I'm hiding in the little office, same thing, boss.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
Okay, okay, well, here's the good news. You don't have
to react it yet. To keep it professional, we totally understand.
We've seen this movie before. We'll tell you what you

Hardy Coast one oh three point five.
Speaker 1 (41:36):
Sergio. Sergio says, thanks for all the calls. She's and
his mama over his wife or his mom's birthday dinner.
It's for me. It's just so simple. Anyway, we're going
to get your calls. You want to go to cypress
right now? Yeah? All right, So okay, Jasmine, all morning long,
people have been citing with Sergio. You have a different
(41:57):
take on this, and we wanted to get you on
the air so you could tell us your opinions. So
what are your thoughts? What are you thinking?
Speaker 12 (42:05):
I just think I have a husband who is also
a mama's boy, and he's the only boy in his family,
the youngest, and over the years, I've kind of just
had to learn to set those healthy boundaries as far
as you know, what his mom is allowed to do,
but at the same time communicate that to my husband.
(42:25):
You know, this is what I feel about what's going on,
you know, just keeping an open line of communication over
the but and that's worked for us as far as
that goes.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
That's that's good. Okay, So you just you keep an
open mind, you roll with it. It sounds like like you
actually really give him the benefit of the doubt, but
you also try to keep boundaries.
Speaker 12 (42:47):
Yeah, pretty much.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
All right, Well it sounds like you guys worked it out.
That's good, Jasmine, thank you.
Speaker 12 (42:53):
All right, thank you.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
It works for her. Mike, what are you thinking, producer,
Mike is he started? We were all on the same page.
Speaker 6 (43:02):
Well, look, we don't know if the wife's allergic to seafood.
She might be pregnant, so she's probably gonna surprise them.
Speaker 8 (43:08):
I don't know, we don't know.
Speaker 7 (43:09):
We should try to contact this wife. I don't know.
We're gonna try to get a hold of her next week.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
Jasmine just said the word aloud though, guys, Yes, this
is where we're at.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
They're boundaries, these or rules. What are they for you
or against you? Eight hundred nine nine kost Keep that
number in mind. It's our number coming up. Four packs
to Legoland.
Speaker 8 (43:40):

All of us make Coast one O three point five
a preset on your iHeartRadio.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
Thank you so much for all of your calls about
our letter to Ellen Tady from Sergio Buena Park. He's
Coasting one of three point five for the Only Ky
Morning show, and most people who have called out Sergio.
He chose his mother over his wife for a birthday
dinner for his mom at her favorite seafood restaurant. He
(44:57):
knows his wife doesn't like seafood, but he loves his mother.
They argued, his wife went along with it, and now
she's giving him two. So most of your calls, I
would say ninety nine point five percent have been in
favor of Sergio choosing his mother over his wife's wishes.
They haven't been married very long. They should be in
(45:17):
their honeymoon period. But it sounds like there's a lot
of tension. I know that in this room. Ryan, you're
so close with your mother. You're a mama's boy. Good time, Darlene,
you and Laura are like sister mother daughters. You guys
are so close.
Speaker 5 (45:33):
We're very and I have two sons that I hope
I can be very close with that would want to
take me out to dinner and pick me over their
wife in the future.
Speaker 1 (45:42):
As a boy mom, I feel the same way, Dar.
And also my mom was my rock, she was my everything,
So I would always pick my mom over her. Like
I know your mom's in heaven with mine, you feel
the same way.
Speaker 6 (45:53):
I would choose my mom and I would put her
in the front seat and throw the wife in the back.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
Yes, and that's what we're all right. Is A year
ago I lost my dad and I would just love
so much to be able to take him to dinner.
Speaker 2 (46:11):
Yeah, a year ago today.
Speaker 1 (46:13):
Yeah, Yeah, I started getting reminded of it because I
promised him I would never be sad. Yeah, because I
was getting pop ups, you know, our phones always bring
us to that place. And then we had the family
the family texts today too.
Speaker 3 (46:32):
Yeah. Well, it's such a gift. I think that we
are able to preserve them. You know, the memories pop up,
whether it's a video or a photo or I guess,
in our case, a lot of his voice.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
Yes, I saved every voicemail ever from my mom and
from my dad.
Speaker 3 (46:47):
And we have all the calls that, you know, the
times that he would just call in and be on
the show.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
We would call him it forsome.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
Yeah, totally. We get the snow report from Colorado.
Speaker 3 (46:56):

sprung on the term girl dad on your dad.

you for, you know, me being one of six. Every
time that I swim breaststroke that I can remember, for
being a little girl. All through high school, I always
saw you timing my lane and it means so much
to me. Dad.
Speaker 12 (47:32):
Oh well, it was fun.
Speaker 8 (47:35):

Speaker 12 (47:36):
It got a little tiring sometimes and my ears would
ring for an hour afterwards in those gunshots.
