Now in season two. Follow the journey of Gilly, a young weather-watcher, as she travels through a Neolithic world to a strange meeting. Along the way she faces challenges from old and new gods. The latter seem particularly interested in her, much to her surprise. And as for the old gods - well, as Yarrow, their priestess says: they move the blood in unexpected ways, as Gilly will find out for herself.
The journey is over. Gilly stands in the world of the dead. But there has been more to her journey than she knows. The new gods have done more than watch over her and they have plans for Gilly.
Gilly must brave the sea if she is to reach the Other Place and speak with her family again. It’s the last step in the journey, but here, at the edge of the world, all Gilly’s hopes are in danger of being wrecked.
Gilly has reached Prim’s village, but things are not as they should be. As the power of the new gods makes itself known, she faces a challenge more dangerous than any she has experienced on the journey.
Yarrow and Gilly face an impossible choice. One of them will emerge as a true leader, but the price is more than they can know. When they descend from the heights, they will be changed forever.
When is a stone not a stone? When it’s the key to a puzzle that will lead to life or death for the starving tribe. Gilly is their only hope, but she’s not sure she understands what she needs to do.
Gilly follows Yarrow to a sacred place and learns more about her friend’s internal struggles with the new gods. There’s a surprise in store for Gilly, and it’s not as pleasant as it should be.
Gilly’s world has been turned upside down. Strange sights are everywhere and the gods seem intent on testing her, every step of the way. For a young Neolithic girl, it’s a trial of her strength and wits.
The tribe are on the great journey to the Other Place, and Gilly’s worst fears are realised when they are attacked along the way. Her sister is missing and she’s lost in a maze. The last thing she needs is an encounter with a wolf.
Love finds Gilly at a bad time. As weather-watcher for her tribe she feels her duties keenly, and now there are complications. But the journey to the Other Place must start and everyone obeys the old gods.
In a Neolithic world, a young girl has an important meeting with her mother before starting a long and dangerous journey with her people. Their old gods drive them on, but new gods are watching, and they set high standards. Can Gilly rise to the challenge?
