Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ryan schulling with you, filling in on this Monday edition
of The Ross Kaminski Show. Ross is off, I believe
for jury duties, so it's not fun. It's not a
joyous occasion for him. But I'll be very curious to
see if he'll be selected for the jury, and if
he goes through that process, he'll have stories to tell,
no doubt. Do we have statements reacting to the passing

(00:22):
of Pope Francis, as you just heard from Alex Stone,
ABC News, dying at the.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Age of eighty eight.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
In the overnight hours, I received a text notification here
in the Mountain Times Zone, maybe about five am, President
Trump putting out the following on Truth's social rest and
peace Pope Francis, May God bless him and all who
loved him, and this from the Archdiocese of Denver. Statement
issued from Archbishop Samuel J. Aquilla, the Archbishop of Denver.

(00:52):
He says the following on the passing of Pope Francis.
Today Easter Monday, as the Church continues to rejoice in
Christ's erection, our Holy Father, Pope Francis was called to
the House of the Father, he reflects the archbishop on
Holy Father's life, saying quote Bishop poor He Rodriguez, and
I are grateful to God for Pope Francis's powerful example

(01:14):
of humility, prayer, and service to the church for the
past twelve years, from the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy in
twenty fifteen to his prayer in Saint Peter's Square during
COVID to this original Jubilee of Hope this year. From
his weekly Angelists messages to his psyclicals and writings, he
continually called us to encounter Jesus Christ, to accompany others

(01:36):
as Christ did with mercy and tenderness, and to draw
nearer to the Father's heart in this apostolic age. Now
we've reached out to the Archbishop to appear either on
this program or perhaps later with Mandy Connell. Always difficult
on the Monday after the Easter holiday weekend, of course,
not only in the Catholic Church but the Christian faith
in general, as the timing of this is such, appropriately

(02:00):
so for those that follow the teachings of Christ that
he was resurrected on Sunday, and as the Archbishop stated that,
Pope Francis was called home, also efforting to have the
Archbishop appear with Dan Kaplis later on today. That's on
our sister station six point thirty KAL. But we'll see
how it goes. We know that he's extremely busy, is
the archbishop, and we appreciate his time on this day.

(02:23):
With that statement, now, I am not a Catholic personally,
I do consider myself to be a Christian and I
did celebrate Easter over the weekend, and I hope that
those of you who did had a very festive occasion
as well. And if you have thoughts on the passing
of Pope Francis, we welcome those via tacks at fifty
six six ninety, we'll get those on the air. Coming

(02:44):
up next, we'll talk about the governor's race between Senator
Michael Bennett and Attorney General Phil Wiser. Those are the
two main Democratic candidates shaping up on that side of
the isle, and Senator Bennett facing criticism for remaining as
Senator and not resigning that post as he enters the
race for governor. And he's getting that criticism not just

(03:07):
from those who may be on the right politically, but
also within his own party. But is Phil Wiser taking
advantage politically of while he has the time to make
Hay while the sun is shining to really inflict political
damage on Bennett and get a foothold in this race.
We'll talk about that a little bit more when we

(03:27):
come back. Also coming up at the bottom of the hour,
my conversation with Dustin Gonzalez. He is a parent in
the Jeffco School District and he is one of several
facing issues with a child experiencing gender dysphoria. How the
school district is handling that, or rather how it is
not and leaving parents in the dark has become a
point of consternation as well. As We also have House

(03:51):
Bill twenty five thirteen twelve pending. It has not been
brought to the Senate. It did pass through the House
here in the Colorado General Assembly, but there are groups
working behind the scenes to effectively kill the bill before
it even gets to a vote in the Senate. We'll
have the very latest on that, Ryan Schuling filling in.
You're listening to the Ross Commenski Show here on KOA.

(04:11):
Here on the Ross Cominski Show, Ryan Shuling filling in
on this Monday, Ross is out I think for today
and today only.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
He should be back tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
You can text throughout the program regardless at fifty six
six point ninety in case you're just tuning in. Of course,
the passing of Pope Francis the big news of the
day at the age.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Of eighty eight.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
In the overnight hours and the morning has begun, the
replacement will take place. As many of you may recall,
Pope John Paul the Second, now sanctified, was replaced some
twenty odd years ago after his passing.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
By Pope Benedict.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Benedict would step down himself before his death in twenty
twenty two, and Pope Francis has been in that post now,
as we have reported for over the last dozen years.
So a new pope on the horizon and paying tribute
to Pope Francis here today and you can do so
at five six six nine zero. This from Governor Jared

(05:07):
Polis on X He posted quote today we mourn the
passing of Pope Francis, a force for healing and love.
Hope Francis, formerly Jorge Mario Bergolio, was the first New
World Pope and was known for his pastoral kindness and compassion.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
So that from our.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Governor Jared Polis, whither his replacement and who will that be.
Now on the Republican side, Representative Scott Bottoms has entered
the race. We also have sheriff from Teller County, Jason
mike Sel and I have interviewed Greg Lopez, who was
twice before run for the office, including the last time
around in a primary showdown with Heidi Ganaal who would

(05:46):
ultimately become the Republican nominee. But the inside baseball in
Better's odds, if they were set, would be on the
Democratic candidate and the first one to declare for that race,
at least on the top line billing would be Phil Wiser,
the Attorney General. He was then joined in the race
by the current Senator, Michael Bennett. Now Bennett, out of

(06:08):
the gate, is going to have a tremendous edge in fundraising.
He's already gotten several notable endorsements, including those of would
be rival Some were theorizing Representative Joe Nogose might run
and would be a strong candidate in that regard, but
he quickly acceded to Bennett and offered up his endorsement,
as did Representative Jason Crowe. So those are falling in

(06:30):
line behind Bennett. The donors are falling in line you
would imagine behind Senator Michael Bennett with his national name recognition.
He was a candidate for president, and he's just at
that level that you would think is a little bit
above where Phil Wiser might stand in terms of public
perception the public eye, not based on the job that
he's done, but based on people. You know, if you

(06:51):
go on to the sixteenth Street mall, or if you
go to Park Meadows or Cherry Creek and you hold
up to eight x ten's one of Phil Wiser, one
of Michael Bennett. Although the Bennett would fare as well
as he should in that regard, but I think more
people would know who Senator Michael Bennett is. That all
being said, Senator Bennett had an opportunity to appear and

(07:11):
really launch his campaign on CNN with Caitlyn Collins on
this should be considered a friendly network and a friendly
anchor and host, and he starts off okay, but this
is really presented in two parts, and I would like
you to notice the difference in Michael Bennett's responses in
these two parts. The first one, he's on his game,
he's Roland, it's in his wheelhouse, and he knows what

(07:33):
he wants to say, and here's that portion of it.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
And I'm using Elon Muskin as an example. But we've
got problems on the Democratics side as well. And this
is one of those instances, Caitlin, where I think we
need to think very hard about how to overcome citizens United.
We may need a constitutional amendment to deal with it. Yeah,
and other generations of Americans have amended the constitution to

(07:56):
get women the right and vote. They haven't said it's impossible.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Okay, So he's doing all right.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
But Caitlyn Collins asked the obvious question here because he's
criticizing You know, you've seen the Fight against Oligarchy tour.
It made us stop right here in Colorado Bernie Sanders
and AOC and this is a word that they've fallen
in love with. But they are oligarchs that are funding
the campaigns of district attorneys throughout the country, including George Sorows,

(08:23):
but not just limited to him, Bill Gates is a
big donor to the Democratic Party as well. So here's
the question from Kaitlyn Collins. You would not accept donations
from billionaires going forward?

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Is that what you're saying, okay, seems like a simple
enough question.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
He's railing against this, he's talking about overturning citizens United,
that we should get money out of politics. All right,
sounds good, And then Kaitlyn Collins the question, Let's see
how Senator Bennett handles it.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Well, I have I'm one of the very few members
of the Senate who does not accept corporate pack money.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
For example. That's not the question.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
So I'm not if you're asking about independent expenditures of
billionaire as she is, I haven't thought that through because
I'm not in a position to be able to make
a judgment about that. I'm not sure I'm missing your
misunderstanding your question.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
I think, oh, if he is, that should be disqualifying.
I don't think that he is. I think he was
just blindsided by the fact that he was actually asked
a direct question on this topic that he couldn't just
spin off with talking points. And he tried to make
this about corporate pack money. No, no, no, no. The question
was about billionaire donors, but he wouldn't answer that directly.

(09:41):
This would appear to be an opening politically for Phil
Wiser to take advantage. Nary a peep from Phil none
the Wiser, as I call him the Attorney General, and
he instead decided, you know what, I'm going to try
to outflank Senator Bennett to the left, and he attended
the hands Off rally at the state Capitol and had
this on X Today.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
The Supreme Court made an important ruling.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
They said, this government can't just import people Jill Salvador
without giving them legal process. The basis of this ruling
is the Constitution, which guarantees everyone due process of law.
We fought an American revolution to have due process of law.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
We're not going to give it up now.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Okay, Well, he's made it very clear that he wants
to prosecute cases and file lawsuits against the Trump administration
some along these lines. But he has a primary opponent now,
and he had an opportunity and he went silent. And
so it makes you wonder just how serious of a
candidate he is, because you've got to win the primary
before you get to the general. And he's got to
set himself apart from Bennett in order to win the primary.

(10:44):
And I don't believe this did that. A time out,
we're back bottom of the hour break for news, and
when we come back, we'll have my conversation with Dustin
Gonzalez and Lori Gimmelstein from the Colorado Parent Advocacy Network.
Dustin Gonzalez a concerned parent who has strained relations with
a daughter who is now identifying as non binary, but

(11:05):
he was left out of that discussion by the jeffco
Public School District. You'll hear his story when we come
back the ros Kamenski Show with Ryan Schuling filling in
on KOA.

Speaker 6 (11:14):
I was supposed to have one opponent in this fight
for my daughter. One voice equals say, one person across
the table who I would battle for influence, and that
person was supposed to be my ex But you gave
her reinforcements.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
You gave her a system that cut me out of
the picture.

Speaker 6 (11:29):
You handed her the tools to eliminate me from my
daughter's life, and with your help, she's trying to raise
me altogether. You replaced my voice, you stole my seat
of the table, and you made decisions about my daughter
without me.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Straight fire from a father, and you could hear his
absolute pain and outrage, and justifiably so, Dustin Gonzalez jeff
Coast Schools. That was a school board meeting where he
was addressing those who would step In, as he put it,
take his place, take his wife's side in indoctrinating his

(12:03):
daughter with a therapist, and that word I have to
put in quotes that, no doubt, was not only encouraging
the transition, but we've seen as well that in the
state of Colorado with gender affirming care, a therapist isn't
even a loud or permitted in that setting to say,
let's pump the brakes here and maybe pursue other modes,

(12:24):
means and methods of treatment. Nope, straight to the transing.
And this is the part that I simply cannot get
my head around. We're very fortunate enough to be joined
by Dustin Gonzalez along with Lori Gimmelstein from the Colorado
Parent Advocacy Network. Let me start with you, Dustin, and
this impassioned plea that you gave. It went viral on

(12:45):
the social media platforms, including by libs of TikTok et cetera.
Just take us to the beginning of when you found
out there was something going on.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
With your child.

Speaker 7 (12:57):
Yeah, well, this was last year, probably about mar So.
My daughter came to her car and she was dressed
completely differently. She was My wife was picking her up.
She didn't even recognize her, and you know, we're not done.
I'm pretty politically aware, and we basically asked us, say, hey,
what's going on, like let's talk about this, like what's
going on? And yeah, she said, well, I'm non binary.

(13:20):
I want to go write these pronouns. I wanted to
be my name, and I was like, where did.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
This come from?

Speaker 7 (13:25):
And she refused to tell me, And to this day
she still won't tell me where it started. But I
at admitted in court on last Friday that did certain
school and even she didn't know that started it, but
she was so first, and then me, basically, my daughter's
being indoctrinated for six months be where I even found
out and should argue the decision by then.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
And yet it is believable because Laurie, as you and
I have discussed numerous times before, both on this program
and in our messaging, this is far from an isolated incident.
We could only point to Columbine High School the grooming
that one on there, and it's not just with a
gender dysphoria, it's with hiding these types of items and

(14:08):
issues and problems from the parents, with the foolish notion
that the school knows better than the parents do, and
the parents inherently are abusers. And this goes to the
heart really of House Bill twenty five thirteen twelve, which
is perilous and dangerous and threatens to take kids away
from parents. Laurie, how would you sum up Dustin's experience

(14:28):
as it compares to these other incidences that we've seen.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (14:33):
Absolutely, I think that your listeners really need to understand
that this is happening to real families all across Colorado.
We have an incident reporting tool, and I encourage anyone
listening that if they are going through something like Dustin
is going through, or several other families that we will
talk about, they can submit an NSWER report and CPN
can help guide them so that they can get the

(14:55):
best advocacy support that they need for their child. But
this is not just Dustin or the case at Columbine,
like this has happening down in Durgo to Cindy Stein,
whose daughter was groomed by her math teacher and the
math teacher was harboring her at the house. Nobody would
help CPS, the school, the police. We have a situation

(15:16):
in northern Colorado with another dad who's in a custody
situation and was completely gagged by the court in having
any say in his son's medical treatment because he wants
to wait, he wants to pause, he wants to ask questions,
he wants to ensure that the doctors and the therapists

(15:36):
are exploring why his son is questioning his gender, and
the court gagged him. So I think people really need
to understand that this is extreme, and it's already happening.
It's in full practice, and people need to know also
that Governor Polus signed into law last year House Built
twenty four to ten thirty nine non legal name changes,
and what that did was it made it legal for

(15:57):
schools to hide gender transitions from parents. And so this
new bill is just another nail in the coffin on
parent rights.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
It's extreme in what.

Speaker 8 (16:09):
This means if you have a child that is in
school and this is what's happening.

Speaker 9 (16:14):
Okay, and they.

Speaker 8 (16:15):
Are getting comprehensive sex education which is now required by law.
They are receiving gender ideology concepts in social emotional learning
and their advisory classes and their homeroom classes. It's embedded
into their social studies curriculum. And they're they're seeing flags everywhere.
It is encouraged, it is incentivized. Kids are getting stickers

(16:39):
and toys and rewards for joining these lgbt qu I
A plus clubs and organizations and and it's it's shopped.
It's sold as a great alternative to your life if
you're if you feel uncomfortable in your body, or maybe
you're socially awkward. And with that happening, and we and

(17:02):
kids our quest start to question this. And when parents
aren't included, they cannot guide and direct their child. And
to say that parenting is abuse is unconstitutional, it's un American.
And we are fighting with every effort that we have
against this degreegious Bill thirteen twelve.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
She is Lori Gimmelstein and you can follow her network
that's the Colorado Parent Advocacy Network on ex at Seapan Colorado.
And also joining us Dustin Gonzalez, this concerned father who
has had a strained relationship with his daughter, who has
been indoctrinated into what Laurie just described, it's this bonus.
It's this affirmation you're different, you're special, You're part of

(17:42):
this new group, this new club, and it's not it's passe.
It's it's not cool to be straight and just be
a regular person. You're not going to get any attention
that way. So they play to a young person's fears, insecurities,
lack of confidence, vulnerabilities.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
That's exactly what's going on here, Dustin.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
But my main concern of why I think you coming
on this program, you speaking in that school board meeting.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Why it's so important?

Speaker 1 (18:05):
You know, I spoke with Aaron Lee and if you
watch the documentary Art Club, you can find it on YouTube.
You can find it on her website. Again, this is
following the same mo the same pattern. A child is
isolated and told to separate from his or her parents,
to hide this in secrecy, to cover it with a scam.
This was not an art club, this was an indoctrination
club in the Pooter School district. And Dustin, what these

(18:27):
administrators TEACHERR Staff, I think what they're trying to do
to a father like you is make you feel isolated,
make you feel like you're alone, make you feel like
you're powerless. So I want to get to the core
of what led you to take that bold step to
go public, to come forward, to tell this story from
your perspective and why that was important to you.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Yeah, right.

Speaker 7 (18:47):
My wife's lives been kind of like my guiding, Like
she's been the person that kind of keeps me under
control and says, hey, I shouldn't be there, if I
shouldn't be there. We went to the Seapan summit about
two Sundays ago, and my wife'send with me. At the
end of it. She looked at me and said, Okay,
you have to you have to say something. And I
know at that moment, I said, okay, I and I
went and signed up for you just to go votive
education speaking, and I went up there and find the

(19:11):
persone to speak against this. There are multiple groups before
you speaking four h twenty five thirteen tels. Specifically, they clavement,
we're fear mongering, We're trying to organize a base. We're
trying to rally a base around this, and that's not
what it's going to use for, that's not what it's about.
Imagine they're surprised. And I walked up there and I said, Nope,
it's already happening, and I'm proof we're not fear mongering.

(19:33):
This is reality, this is happening, and all this still
does is guarantees it, and I look at this now
and I'm like, look, I'll be honest. I was kind
of shocked to wake up Friday morning on my phone
blowing up, bit crazy. But at the end of the day,
it's got our kids, and we've got to reframe this conversation.
This is not help It is harmful to tell a
kid they're born in a long body. We have to

(19:55):
make sure we can put a narrative on this. This
is harm. You cannot look at a and tell me
you are helping them by saying we will lie to you.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
That's not fair to them.

Speaker 7 (20:04):
And that's not going to raise them with any amount
of strength to fight back when their lives in the future.
We have to control the narratives, fight back and make
it clear this is harm. I don't care if it's
a gender, a name change, thrownoun change. Telling us how
they're in the wrong body is not helpful.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
It is absolute harm.

Speaker 7 (20:23):
And to tell them the only way to get out
of this is that other people telling you that this
is what you are, I'll go through surgeries to make
yourself feel better. That's not reality. They can work through this,
they can get past this, but they need support real support,
real help to have the hard proposations. I will love
them and tell them, hey, I love you.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
I know this is hard.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
Well, we're going to work through this together.

Speaker 7 (20:43):
And the schools pushing it on them, these schools hiding
it from the parents, they will be exposed. And let
me tell you, once parents really wake up to this,
they'll be removed, they will not hold office, and they'll
never hold power again.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
You're here, your lives to God's ears. Dustin Gonzalez, the
father of a child experiencing gender dysphoria, which is real,
but the first course of treatment, according to this bill
that we're talking about thirteen twelve, according to the so
called therapists that are hired by schools, the administrators, the
teachers in these schools, is we're going to go right

(21:17):
to transing the kids.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
And Laurie, this is the.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Part that should shock and worry everyone, is this bill
would further this type of punishment for parents and this
cudgel that they use to intimidate parents like Dustin Gonzalez,
for whom my heart breaks, and I know a lot
of our listeners their hearts are breaking too, because now
he's come out and yes he's doing the right thing,
and yes, this is the right fight, but I'm sure

(21:40):
this is probably furthered the divide between himself and his
daughter and definitely made him a target for these administrators
and teachers that are looking to take rights away from parents.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
So, Laurie, if there's a parent.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Out there like Dustin right now who might be listening
or knows of a parent of somebody a kid experiencing
gender dysphoria, but they're just terrified to come forward because
of the consequences of the backlash they might face.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
What would you say to.

Speaker 8 (22:05):
That person, I would say, first and foremost, you're not alone.
This is happening to families across the state and across
the nation, and we have support systems. We have the
families we can connect you to. We have therapists that
we can connect you to that do not use gender

(22:26):
affirmation as the only approach. We have to recognize and
understand that these systems and these laws that have been
put in place over the last several years, really they
tie the hands of psychologists and psychiatrists and doctors. But
the truth of the matter is we need more doctors

(22:46):
to step up and to speak the truth. We need
more therapists to do that. In Colorado, Principal Positions is
a phenomenal group. If you're a position in Colorado, look
up coloradodoctors dot org and join this unity. What we
have seen is really an egregious takeover of organizations that

(23:08):
lead these medical communities, and the doctors and the nurses
that are on the ground working don't want to be
doing this, but they're terrified of losing their jobs. And
the same with educators and teachers have really great teachers
and the system that want nothing to do with this,
but they're being forced forced to comply with this lie.
And you know, as a speak pathologist myself, who have

(23:29):
worked incredibly closely with doctors and therapists for the last
twenty years, you cannot overlook underlying conditions. And that is
what's happening. They're they're fast tracking these kids onto cross
sex hormones and social transition without looking at is this
child have other comorbidities like autism, anxiety, depression, past trauma,

(23:51):
and in most alarmingly, social influence. I mean that is
one of the biggest indicators of gender confusion. Is what's
happen I think socially on social media in the schools,
really everywhere they go, movies, all the content that's available
to our children is pushing this. And here's the thing,
the science shows the opposite. You should not be affirming.

(24:15):
Parents are coming out of the woodwork saying their biggest
mistake was walking through the doors of a gender clinic
like the one at Children's Hospital, the Truth Center for
Gender Diversity, genver Health, Kaiser Permanente. These parents were not warned,
they were not told about the irreversible outcomes like bone
loss and chronic team and fertility sexual dysfunction surgeries that

(24:36):
are not helping their child to get happier. It's burdening
their children, it's burdening their families. It's tearing families apart.
In this law, House Bill twenty five thirteen twelve, you
know that is being sponsored by Representative Lorena Garcia. She's
part of Adams in Jefferson County. You really have to
take a look at what she truly stands for. She

(24:56):
says she's a registered Democrat, but she's an admitted member
of the Democratics of America and that group, that political
group openly advocates for dismantling American institutions and the nuclear family,
and this is what's happening to Dustin and families across
the state.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
It's not gender affirming care, it's gender denying care, and
it's denying these children a chance at happiness in a full,
healthy life. Fight out more about the Colorado Parent Advocacy
Network at Coloradoparents dot org. She is Laurie Gimmelstein, and
I got to tell you, Dustin Gonzalez, thank you so
much for what you're doing for coming forward.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
I know it's not.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Easy and it doesn't come without a lot of people
coming after you as well, but you've got more support
than you know. And thank you so much for joining
me here today.

Speaker 7 (25:40):
Yeah, n I really appreciate having me on.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Thank you, and you can text us your thoughts as well.
At five six six nine zero, Ryan Schuling filling in
for Ross Kaminski here on a Monday edition. Let's see
a lot of texts coming in. Oh my god, you're
worse than the other blank that's on at this time.
You guys are so full of blank. Yeah, liberals want

(26:02):
to change every kid's sex. Stupid blanks. That's a lot
of swear words for one text of Kudos to you,
though for working those in I don't believe that the
first course of action should be surgical intervention, messing with
the hormones, the puberty, the development of children at a

(26:23):
very fundamental stage in their adolescence. I'm not the only
one who thinks this as well. This has been banned
these procedures in Finland, in Sweden, and most recently in
the United Kingdom. They're catching on that this is a pseudoscience.
This does not deliver the panacea that it promises. This
is a primrose path to pain. And I know that's

(26:45):
a lot of alliteration, but I didn't plan it that way.
And got a couple more, all from the same numbers,
So very revved up. This person from the seven to
two to oh about the right wing is the only
party that celebrates school shootings. That's absolutely trash. That is
a trash comment. That is not true. I am for

(27:05):
eliminating soft targets, and that includes schools, theaters, public places
where there are so called gun free zones that are
gun free for law abiding citizens, but are an invitation
for mass shootings, rather than having it fortified.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
Oh, do we want our kids to have to go
to school in a fortress?

Speaker 1 (27:25):
I think in many instances, if you fortify a school
with school resource officers who are trained, who are armed,
you make that a safer place if you have one
entry point. I mean, these are things that you can
do strategically to prevent the likelihood of a school shooting
from happening.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
But again, this is.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
The typical tactic of a texter like this that wants
to change the subject. You are horrible at this. Whoever,
you are at rhetorical devices of the bait and switch
type technique here, and I'm not going to fall for it,
and neither does Ross obviously. And we talk about children
that are experiencing the gender dysphoria that is happening. It

(28:04):
is happening. It's a social contagion. As Bill Maher has said,
it is happening a lot more in blue states, in
blue areas within those blue states than it is in
rural America, in red states and red municipalities, et cetera.
In school districts. It's not exclusive by any means. It's
not one hundred zero, it's not zero one hundred. But

(28:25):
when somebody like Cynthia Nixon, formerly of Sex and the City,
stands up and there's a quote she had of my
kid is trans, and my sister's kid is trans, and
my sister's kid's best friend is trans, and all these
things that are mathematical improbabilities. Statistically speaking, that's what Laurie Gimmelstein,

(28:47):
who has so well spoken on this issue from the
Colorado Parent Advocacy Network again coloradoparents dot org is where
you can find up more information. It's what she is
talking about toward the end of that conversation when it
comes to Marxism, the Democratic Socialists of America undermining the
fabric not only of our founding in the United States

(29:08):
as we know it, but the nuclear family. And this
is the kind of coded language that you can look
out for. Because one of the sponsors of this bill,
Center Built or a House Built rather twenty five thirteen twelve,
has a page on her website about her doesn't identify
herself as a mother. And I'm not saying you have

(29:30):
to be a parent to care about kids. I'm not
a parent. I care about kids. I'm an uncle. I've
been a coach, I've been a teacher. But when you
don't have kids, you know, Margaret Thatcher once said, you know,
socialism is all well and good until you run out
of other people's money. It's a lot easier to make
decisions about spending from a government perspective when it's other

(29:52):
people's money, tax payers money, not your money. Your money,
you're not putting it on the line. You're not the
one that's got skin in the game. Any person without
children that would advocate for the transing of children, it's
a lot easier to say and do those things and
propose a bill like this when it's not affecting children

(30:12):
of your own. It's always going to be different when
you have children of your own, and those of you
who are parents out there know what I'm talking about.
There's a different level of concern, care, focus, priorities. It's
your kid, and you don't want other people telling them,
like in the Cherry Creek School District superintendent, we're a
family here. That is a slippery slope and a very

(30:36):
purposeful word used to substitute the school for the family,
rather than what we've seen in the past, a parent
teacher organization pta where you include and involve the input
of parents into the educational process. They're wanting to remove
parents like Dustin Gonzales. Instead a time out back with
our number two, The Ros Kaminski Show, Ryan Shuling filling

(30:57):
in here on KOA Monday edition of The Ross Kamenski
Show without Ross Komensky.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
He's got jury duty.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
You see Ross, and you think foreman of the jury, right, Dragon,
very much so, very much so, I'm wondering how that's
all going to play out. You might know more than
I do about this, but typically my reception would be,
because Ross is a known entity figure in Denver, in
this market, that he wouldn't stand a very good chance

(31:24):
of making it onto a.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
Jury, you would think.

Speaker 10 (31:27):
But there have been people in this building who have
said the very thing I'm on the radio. I don't
think I'm a good fit here, and they have had
to serve on jury duty.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
Probably get picked for that reason in some cases, because
you get the challenges, right, whether you're the prosecutor or
the defense, and whatever trial it may be. But if
somebody believes, and this would be to the great credit
of Ross, that he would be a very good impartial juror,
then you know, more power to them for putting him
on there.

Speaker 10 (31:56):
Probably one of the more fair thinkers, yeah around doing
his civic duty.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Yeah, so is a jury duty just for today?

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Is are they determining whether or not he'll be on
the jury today?

Speaker 2 (32:09):
I know of not. These are the mysteries we need
to solve.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
Dragon, you and me, Okay, let's dedicate ourselves to that.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Cause you ever been on jerry duty?

Speaker 4 (32:17):
No?

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Well do you want to?

Speaker 10 (32:19):
Because I know so many people out there are like, yeah,
Jerry duty sucks. I never want to do a good
jury duty fry them all and then they kick me out.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
But no, I want to.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
You'd be great. I want to see what the process
is like. I want to be there.

Speaker 10 (32:32):
I want, I mean, not to hold somebody's life in
my hands, but you might. I might, but you know,
I want to be able to hear all the information
and you know rule on that.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Why I think you'd be fantastic, Dragon is you are
a very exceptional listener because you have to listen to
Michael Brown for four hours and it's terrible every morning,
and the fact that you do that makes you a
very strong candidate.

Speaker 10 (32:57):
I'm glad a jury. I'm very glad that you think
that I actually listened to it. I put up that
front that that somebody thinks I listened to You.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
Have a good filtering mechanism. And here's the segue. Speaking
of filtering, Chad Bauer was talking about this top of
the hour. This, you know what really grinds my gears.
To quote the great Peter Griffin from Family Guy, what
are we doing here? Lane filtering? Lane splitting? Now, I'm
a I drive, Okay, I'm fifty years old. I've been

(33:26):
a licensed driver. Now do the math?

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Was that thirty four years? Right?

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Do you really believe on I twenty five and I
seventy anywhere around here the four seventy that there's gonna
be a differentiation between lane filtering legal now in Colorado
and lane splitting not legal. Because the difference, if I
had to look this up, by the way, lane splitting,
which I believe is legal in California, if I'm not mistaken,

(33:52):
is when you're riding a motorcycle between two lanes of
moving traffic in the same direction, so you can be
going full speople. But I see that happen all the
time here in Colorado. I'll be on I twenty five, woo,
and it's usually the cross rockets. It's the you know,
guys that are trying to show up bikes. Not talking
about the hawks, not talking about the Indian motorcycles or

(34:15):
the Harley Davidson's. That's a responsible bunch. So I'm gonna
make sure that I draw that distinction. But you know
what I'm talking about, right dragon, You see?

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Yeah, like.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
The sit up bikes. Yeah they're firing. Yeah, they're firing
right through splitting lanes, not filtering, because lane filtering legal
is when you're riding between two stopped or slow moving vehicles.
So let's say there was an accident on twenty five.
You're kind of chugging along like five ten miles an hour,
and now you see slowly a motorcycle kind of in

(34:50):
between the cars and at a very low rate of speed.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
I kind of get that.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
But my problem is we all know we've driven in
traffic that it's not going to stop there. People are
gonna take liberties and break the law. And are they
actually gonna get popped for it? You get it pulled over? Unlikely.
I would say, you've had experience with this. I want
to hear from you five six six nine zero coming up.

(35:17):
You'll want to stay tuned because, in quotes, President Trump
will be joining us at the bottom of the hour.

Speaker 10 (35:24):
We did get an interesting, interesting text message here five
sixty six nine zero.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Sure.

Speaker 10 (35:28):
I know in our county if we get picked on
a Monday, it's usually a long trime.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Interesting.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
So that's what I'm saying, is that Fross, we don't
has he been picked? Has he not been picked? As
he talked about it on the show.

Speaker 10 (35:43):
Best of my knowledge, it's just today.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
So well it's just today. What is this traffic court?
And they got a jury for it or so? I
don't understand. Well, maybe he'll explain tomorrow if and when
he comes back he shows up. Yeah, but if he's
on like twelve angry men like Jerry, you know he's
gonna be Henry. If you know he's gonna be Henry
fond I just I love the thought of this, and

(36:06):
I wish we had cameras in the courtroom to watch them.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Ryan.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
Is the US six closure due to construction of the
bike path. There's a lot of bike path stuff going on,
but a wait a minute, a bike path on US six.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
I don't know how that's gonna work, right.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
Maybe just off on one of the cross streets like
Wadsworth or something. But I don't know the answer to
your question. I'll have dragon inspect and investigate. Good morning, Ryan, Well,
good morning to you. What was the trans documentary you mentioned? Well,
the name of the movie is art Club. Where you
can find it, it's on YouTube. Somehow it's been kept

(36:44):
on there or the website for the film itself, directed
by Kevin Lundberg, is artclubmovie dot com and it features
Aaron Lee and her husband.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
And Aaron I've gotten to know personally.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
She's wonderful, she's fantastic, she's a tremendous voice for this cause.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
But what happened with her?

Speaker 1 (37:01):
As I recall, and I want to make sure I'm
accurate here, I believe her daughter was twelve and under
the auspices and pretense of an art club, she was
brought into what turned out to be an LGBTQIA plus
two s. I'm trying to remember all those meeting that
served to indoctrinator over several hours that day, and it

(37:25):
resulted in a year of gender dysphoria battle for Aaron
and her daughter. Now, subsequently, her daughter would be removed
from the pewdher public school district. But my whole question
going into that, I don't deny that gender dysphoria happens
it does, it must be handled with great care. These
kids are struggling, they're suffering in many ways. But the

(37:48):
first step can't be jumping the cutting their body parts off,
or injecting them full of chemicals, hormones or blocking the
ones that are supposed to happen in puberty. It's a
delicate time. It's a confusing time. Doesn't mean you're confused
about your gender. You can very much be confused about
what's happening to your body, boy or girl. But the
manipulation and the deception about oh, come, it's an art club.

(38:12):
Wink nod, like, wait a minute, hold on. If this
is such a good thing, as they try to tell
us that it is, why did you have to hide
the fact of what it was and put this veneer
over it, that it's an art club when it's not
an art club.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
Why are you lying to me? That's the number one thing.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
If I'm a parent, if i'm merely Why did you
lie to me to my daughter about what this is.
If it's such a great thing, you lied? Why what
was the motive there? You know what the motive is.
We'll take this time out, we'll come back more of
your texts on this topic at five six six nine
zero or anything. You want to talk about lane filtering
versus lane splitting if you've almost been ridden off the

(38:53):
road by a dirt bike. Basically, what these amount to
going down one of the major highways at a high
rate of speed and filtering.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
They're not filtering, they're splitting. I'm not splitting hairs.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
That's a real thing I want to hear from you
two five six six 's nine zero. As the Roskominski
Show rolls on, Ryan shuling filling in and you're listening to
Koa and talking about in the form of a motorcycle,
We've got a lot of response to that at five
six six 't nine zero. This from our first hour,
and I think this is an informed perspective. I work

(39:24):
at special education in the schools. We can't do anything
without parents' consent for good reason. How do the gender
dysphoria crowd get around this? And this is from the
same texture with the protrans movement always fails to admit
is that they encourage any unique child who does not
fit gender stereotypes to switch genders. You're right, if you
are depressed as a girl, you'd be depressed as a boy.

(39:46):
If the depression itself is not dealt with exactly right,
you don't treat the symptoms, you have to treat the
cause for what's propelling this gender dysphoria, these feelings of insecurity,
and a lot times a high percentage of this youth
that is affected suffers from autism or is on the
spectrum in some way, And rather than treat that, let's

(40:09):
start there.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Okay, there's a process to this.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
I am against the gender reassignment surgery or the hormone
blockers for any child. I think that's dangerous long term
for their physical development, their health, their quality of life,
the enjoyment of that life, their ability to reproduce, their
ability to have pleasure from sex, all of that is affected.

(40:32):
We've now found out there's a reason why it's been
banned in Finland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, and it
should be banned here. Whether you or not you make
that choice as an adult, that's up to the individual.
But for children, we don't trust them with these types
of decisions for a reason to this texture's point, but
we would trust them with that ultimate decision to permanently

(40:53):
change what gender they are.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
That is madness, That.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Is literally insane and this texture stood fall morning. Really,
I just imagine that's how that person sounds. Look at
the economy in stock market, if you really want to
discuss anything else of importance, is this the same texture?
What is this technique about? Oh, look over here, don't
look at that right there. This affects parents in the
state of Colorado, and it's become an epidemic. Texter to

(41:18):
your point, if your child is going through this, yeah,
it's a big blanken deal, to quote the former President
Joe Biden.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
And because it's happening, it is happening.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
This is not a rumor, This is not innuendo, This
is not a conspiracy theory. This is what the General
Assembly is trying to do and trying to force through
our legislature, and right now it is stalled for reasons
that I've discussed earlier. In the state Senate. There are
many on the left, on the left that don't want

(41:50):
this bill to see the.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
Light of day.

Speaker 1 (41:52):
They realize it's radioactive, not just politically, but as a
moral issue for the state of Colorado. There are groups
like Gays against Groomers that are pro LGBT. There are
the log Cabin Republicans, there's my friend doctor Rich Guggenheim,
who heads up the Colorado Gaze against Groomer's movement. They

(42:12):
are adamantly opposed to this sexualization of children.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
That's what it is.

Speaker 1 (42:16):
Once you get an agender and switching them back and
forth and whatever else that is directly tied to sexuality
of adolescents. We're talking ten to eleven, twelve years old here,
and sometimes younger than that. It's insane. We'll take this break.
President Trump joins us next. That's in quotes, and you'll
find out why. But you need to listen carefully. You

(42:36):
don't want to miss this Ryan schuling in for Roskominsky
on KOA fake.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
I know them, I know them all.

Speaker 11 (42:41):
They're all fake, and they have no interest in that prisoner.
That prisoner's record is unbelievably bad. A talk about how
evil I am that this man would be thrown out
of our c This man is a, according to certified statement,
is a very violent person. And they want this man

(43:04):
to be brought.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
Back into our country where he can be free.

Speaker 11 (43:09):
And to say, as a happily Maryland you know, happily.

Speaker 1 (43:12):
They call him the Maryland band.

Speaker 11 (43:14):
He's a Maryland father now he's a violent person.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
President Trump.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
A slamming Senator Chris van Holland, Democrat Maryland, who made
the sojourn down to El Salvador to meet with the
aforementioned kilmar Abrego Garcia's drawn a lot of headlines, especially
over the weekend with Van Hollen appearing in all the
Sunday shows.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
But we're joined right now Ryan Schuling.

Speaker 1 (43:38):
In for Rosskominski here on KOA by the President himself.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
President Trump, thank you so much for your time.

Speaker 4 (43:43):
Well, we're very happy to be here, very happy to
be talking to you because you're a tremendous guy, and
you know, we have a lot of problems right now.
We have to talk about a lot of problems.

Speaker 1 (43:53):
Well, one of them, as you stated, mister President, is
Senator Chris van Holland himself. What do you think was
his motivation for going down to l Salvador.

Speaker 4 (44:03):
Well, I think he was looking for a romantic partner.
To be honest with you, I think that's what he
was looking for. You know, clearly he's not getting enough
love at home, so he had to go. And I
heard the first state went very well with kilbarr Abrego Garcia, right,
I think it went very well to them. You know,
they had drinks and who knows what happened afterwards, but

(44:24):
you know, you look at it. I think he went
down there looking for love, right, he went looking for
love in all the wrong places, they say that, and
he was looking and I think he may have found it,
or maybe he didn't find it, but he found something, right,
he found something. He was wasted away again in Margaritaville,
that much, I can tell you.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Mister President. There was pushback on that from Senator Van
Holland himself, saying that the drinks, the margaritas in question
one were planted there by the president of L Salvador
Naya Bukayley, and that two they didn't have any SIPs
or drinks from those.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
What is your response about.

Speaker 4 (45:01):
Well, I think that's an interesting story. You know that
he was planted. Ready. Friend, When I said that it's
a ring system, they called me all sorts of things.
He said, it's a ring system, and the other thing.
He's telling the truth. It's unbelievable what they'll do for
these people. Now. I think I think they were drinking.
I think they were drinking an awful lot. And you know,
I think when you look at it. Maybe they both

(45:24):
suffered from ten with a two. You know what I'm
talking about. You know, I don't drink, but they say,
when you drink a lot, you look at a two,
you know what I mean, and all of a sudden,
it looks like a ten. And they had ten with
the two syndrome. So we'll see. But I don't think
he was in his right mind. You know, you go
down there and you talk about this guy. I don't

(45:46):
think he was in his red mind. I think he
had a lot. Maybe he had both margaritas. We'll see.
But Van Holland is a stupid person, I can tell
you that. And maybe he violated a Logan Act who
I knew very well. Logan, tremendous guy. But maybe he
violated a loan, because that is one bad umbra that
he's trying to get back into a country.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
President Trump joining us here on ros Kominski Live, Ryan
Schuling filling in a senator Chris van Holland mentioned you directly,
mister President, about how you're handling these deportations and where
the focus should be. He dodges on this question, however,
from Dana Bash of CNN as to whether or not
Kilmar Abrego Garcia is in fact a member of the

(46:26):
Venezuelan gang, the international gang MS thirteen.

Speaker 4 (46:29):
Can you say with absolute certainty that he is not,
nor has he ever been a member of the MS
thirteen gang?

Speaker 1 (46:35):
And did you ask him point blank?

Speaker 12 (46:40):
Well, what Donald Trump is trying to do here is
change the subject. The subject at hand is that he
and his administration are defined a court order to people
to give Abrego Garcia his due process rights. They are
trying to litigate on social media what they should be
doing in the courts. They need to put up or

(47:02):
shut up in the courts.

Speaker 1 (47:03):
Mister President, I love how Senator Van Holland changes the
subject by saying that you were changing the subject.

Speaker 2 (47:09):
So who's changing the subject here?

Speaker 4 (47:12):
Well, you look at him. He's changing the subject faster
than Crooked Jill changes Crooked Joe's paper. You understand what
I'm talking about. And he made a lot of problems,
you know, he had a lot of problems, and unfortunately
we had the depth of the Pope. But it's very unfortunate.
But this is somebody speaking of diaper. Crooked Joe had
an incident in front of the Pope a couple of

(47:33):
years ago at the Vatican and they pulled an operation
to zero. You know, he dropped one on the floor.
You're not supposed to do that, but he did that.
But he changed the subject An Holland a lot quicker
than Jill Biden changes crooked Joe's diaper, which happens a lot.
You look at it happens frequently, happens a lot. But
he changed the subject because he didn't want to talk

(47:54):
about it. Nobody wants to talk about it. He's MS thirteen, right,
MS thirteen. He said, I didn't want I didn't ask
him because I knew what his answer would me. He
knew he would say yes. He would say, see, Senor,
i am an MS thirteen gang member, and I'm a
tough guy, and I'm ben I'm right now, give me
all your money. That's what he would have said. So
he didn't ask him. And that's why I didn't ask him.

(48:15):
He knew that he was going to answer. Yes, he's
a member of MS thirteen. You could see he has
the tattoos and the wife always covers the hands in
the pictures. He has the tattoos. He's a member of
the gang, and he is not welcome in our country
President Trump.

Speaker 1 (48:31):
Tom Holman, of course, who is in charge of the
border as it's czar appointed by you, was on with
Jonathan Carl over the weekend as well on one of
the Sunday shows for ABC, and Carl was really peppering
him with this notion of due process and who can
be removed from the country and why here is part
of that exchange, and I just would like your response

(48:53):
on the other side.

Speaker 13 (48:54):
In other words, the alien anity text means you can
grab somebody and you can deport them without an extended
hearing because you have labeled them a terrorist, because you
because you've said you've determined that somebody is a member
of the gang, and therefore they don't have to go
through the extended process of the of the opportunity to
have a full hearing.

Speaker 2 (49:13):
That's what you're saying. And let's just be clear.

Speaker 14 (49:15):
I'm saying, we're founding the laws of this country, and
there's a different procedure of each one. We're doing things
when in the frame of the law, we're doing things legally, Okay,
I stand by that. Now again, I'm not a constitutionist scholar.
I'm not going to argue this in court. That's what
the Partner of Justice does. But we're I'm sitting here today.
I think we've done the right thing for this nation.
Found the laws in the constitution of this country.

Speaker 1 (49:35):
Mister President, what about this allegation from Jonathan Carl that
you can just grab somebody off the street and deport
them without due process.

Speaker 4 (49:43):
Well, that's not what we're doing, right, But if we're
going to do that, we might want to start with
Jonathan Carl because stupid people and all that knock country.
There is a very stupid person. You look at him,
a very stupid guy. Tom Hollman is doing a great job.
I call him the Dominator, all right, He's going out
there and he's the doing a fantastic job. He's making
America safe again. And Jonathan Carl, who's a person who

(50:06):
you can't trust. You know, you can't trust people with
two first names. That he has two first names, Jonathan Carl,
and he ought to be ashamed of himself, but you
can't trust them. And he wants to say that we're
not giving people the due process. We gave this god
due process, and the judges said he was a member
of MS thirteen. Kill Mahr said that he came into

(50:27):
the country illegally, and we want to get him the
hell out. These people don't want to get him to help.
So we have a big problem, right, We have a
big problem with the fake news and with the judges.
And we're getting rid of the judges. You know, we're
going to get rid of the judges, and we might
get rid of the fake news too.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
We'll see what happens, mister President.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Also breaking The New York Times reporting this and it's
being repeated on mainstream media about Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth
again under fire for sharing detailed information about forthcoming strikes
and Yemen back on March fifteenth in a private signal
group chat, but this one included his wife, brother, and
personal lawyer, according to four people with knowledge of the chat.

(51:08):
Is this true, mister President, And also to the point
on Secretary hegg Seth, are there people that are in
the Defense Department right now that you feel me have
it out for the Secretary?

Speaker 4 (51:21):
Well, I have to say, Pete accept is a tremendous guy.
He's an answome guy, and he's doing a fantastic job.
You look at the fake news. If the fake news
is leaving you alone, you're probably not doing a good
enough job. That's why the fake news is all over me.
They're all for the entire administration. When you look at
Hegseth and they're saying anonymous sources, right, anonymous, which means

(51:43):
it's complete in total bs. You know what I'm saying, right,
it's a terrible thing what they're doing. You think there
are bad people and they're trying to take down Peete,
but Pete's not going anywhere, and he's not going anywhere.
He's doing a fantastic job. He's keeping our country set.
The soldiers in the military love him and he's a

(52:04):
great guy, and they're not going to be able to
get rid of him very fast. You had people, You
had Darth Vader right loudos and I call him Darth
Vader with the mask. He went missing for a long time.
He was getting tenser treatment. We hope he's okay, but
he told nobody he went missing. Nobody got fired. You
had the Afghanistan withdrawal, nobody got fired. Nobody Withdrew. And

(52:26):
you have a nothing burger. It's such a big, beautiful
nothing burger, and they want him to reside. These are
very stupid and sick people, and we will not let
them win that much, I can tell you.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
Finally, mister President, always appreciate your time. But there is
a lot of uneasiness about the markets, the dal Jones,
the Nasdaq, the S and P five hundred in the
wake of your announced terriffs against China, but then also
those that you pause for ninety days against trade partners
and allies of ours, that even people on the right
are criticizing because they don't view it as a means

(52:59):
to an end. You might leave these tariffs on, and
that this might adversely affect the markets. What would be
your message to somebody out there that's a little bit
nervous about how things are going on that front, Well.

Speaker 4 (53:10):
I would say, don't panic and stay strong, and you know,
you have to stay sane, and you have to stay smart. Right,
And a lot of people who are panicking are not
being very smart. But they can become smart people, right,
They can absolutely become smart. They can look at this
as an opportunity to buy beautiful things. They can make
bigger moves than Nancy Pelosi does in the stock market

(53:32):
and in many markets when you look at it. So
we're making our country rich we're making our country wealthy,
We're putting our country on the world stage very strong,
and we should appreciate that. And there are people who
don't like it, and if they want to get out,
they can get out. But to the people who want
to get in, you're going to get in when they
gets good and things are going to look very good

(53:53):
for you.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
Believe me, mister President.

Speaker 1 (53:55):
Always appreciate your time. We know you're very busy. Thank
you for joining us here on KOA.

Speaker 4 (54:00):
Thank you very much. You're a great guy and a
handsome guy.

Speaker 2 (54:03):
I believe me. Thank you for that.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
Now, Dragon, we do have updates because I wanted to
make sure that we play the other part of this,
which is that was Sean Ferish and you can follow
him on x that Sean Underscore Farish is a story
behind this, that's s H A w N Underscore Farish
fa r A s H. But I was told that

(54:28):
Kathy Walker had come into the control room. Now she
was a little nervous, so blown up. She's like, hey,
please tell me this is this is not real. It's
like no, no, no, it's a skit. It's fine.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
Sewn is so good at this.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
And the reason I presented it as I did, is
because I was duped. I was listening to Clay and
Buck and this is some time ago, and it was
Buck Sexton was down in mar A Lago, so you're figuring,
you know, President Trump's down there close enough, but Seawan
was also down there, and Buck kind of handled it
the way I just did.

Speaker 2 (54:57):
Where's he introduced him?

Speaker 1 (54:58):
And he's going back and forth And I'm kind of
doing all of the things as I'm listening to that
program and that moment, you know, I'm picking up my
apartment of doing some something on I hear and I'll
go okay, And then there'd be little things that you
would think that's kind of extreme, and that's a that's
got to be a joke, right, that is that really
President Trump? I guess I could kind of hear him
saying something like that, Like Sean is from Long Island too,

(55:22):
so that's where Trump's from.

Speaker 2 (55:23):
Queen's right, So he's got.

Speaker 1 (55:25):
That same accent, affect, intonation, attitude. Sure, But when he's
when he for instance, when he called Jonathan Carl a
stupid person, like you hear it, It's like that's exactly
what he was saying. Say So I did want to
make sure that there's the disclaimer after the fact that
that was indeed a parody. But we got a lot

(55:45):
of texts along these lines. Some some caught on and
those are the that you did a typical gap to you,
but no shame if you didn't, because Sean is that good.
I mean, I kind of impersonate Trump to make points
from time to time, and mine's a mediocre I would
say impersonation of the Orange Man. But when I hear Sean,
I'm like that dude. The other part about this too

(56:05):
was Sean Ferrish. He auditioned to be on Saturday Night Live.
And I think there's a lot of a barrier, and
it happened to Shane Gillis as well, that if you're
not kind of entirely dedicated to the far left cause,
which is made in my view s and l very
unfunny in recent years because they didn't lent a glove

(56:26):
on Obama. It all started there. There was a lot
to make fun of. You would see Fred Armiston sometimes
as Obama, but was very gentle, not the way that
they portrayed Bill Clinton, whether it was the great Phil
Hartman or Darryl Hammond. I mean They went after Bill
Clinton in the nineties, which is fair game. You go
go after everybody, That's what I'm saying. Will Ferrell was
awesome as George W. Bush, you know, and then Daryl

(56:48):
Hammond as Al Gore was extremely funny. But something happened,
something broken people. And it wasn't just Trump. Trump broke people.
I understand that. But in two thousand and eight, when
Obama was elected, it was like, no, can't criticize president anymore.
Historic figure, and there's just so much about doing parody
that brings down people in power, no matter what party

(57:10):
they are, that makes it inherently funny. But SNL abandoned that.
SNL got creepy and weird too. When Obama was leaving office,
they had like a musical tribute to him. Don't take
my word for it. Look it up online. You can
find it on YouTube. I'm sure it was like this
song tribute to Obama was real creepy, like maoist type.

Speaker 2 (57:27):
Stuff, like what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (57:29):
And then in the aftermath of the twenty sixteen election,
Kate McKinnon, who did a great impersonation of Hillary Clinton,
was in the whole white jumpsuit pantsuit and playing piano
singing Hallelujah in a very somber scat. It wasn't even
a sketch. It was like just a musical performance. And
Kate McKinnon is talented, but it's like, is this a

(57:50):
comedy show? What's going on here? And then they go
after Trump, which is fine. Trump is ripe for parody.
Listen to Sean and Sean. It's a faithful adaptation, but
it's not necessarily all favorable of an adaptation. It makes
fun of Trump's idiosyncrasies, things he tends to say, speaking
off the cup, you know, drup sending out the insults.

(58:13):
I'm all for that. I think Shane Gillis does a
great President Trump on two fronts. If you watch the
special on Netflix Beautiful Dogs, he does this reincarnate recreation
rather of the press conference where Trump announced the death
of Abu Bakar Albegdati. He died like a dog, and

(58:34):
he goes through that whole. It's genius comedy from Shane Gillis.
Then there was the extended parody sketch of the Trump shoes.
These are ripe for comedy and parody. They're actual shoes
that Trump sells, and they're hilarious. They're ridiculous, they're ostentatious,
they're over the top. And SNL very smartly developed that

(58:57):
into a sketch where Shane Gillis gets these shoes and
it makes them great at basketball or whatever he wants
to be great at. You just pretend that you're great
at it, and you automatically become that. And I thought
that was brilliantly done. But it's this lack of equal
opportunity that lends itself to a hollow kind of partisan driven,
agenda driven. It's not even comedy anymore at that point.

(59:21):
It's propaganda.

Speaker 4 (59:22):
Greg.

Speaker 1 (59:22):
You look, had something over there. You're working on something, Okay,
just some tax five six six nine zero. Holy crap.
Trump sounds insane. I cannot believe this man is the
president of our beloved USA. I am flattered that you
would think that I would land an exclusive one on
one interview with President Donald J.

Speaker 2 (59:42):
Trump.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
I have indirect connections to the White House, but not
a direct pipeline. I don't have Trump's cell number like
Representative Lauren Bobert does. I can't just fire off a
text to the President or Caroline Lovett for that matter,
whoever else is handling comms.

Speaker 10 (59:57):
You can tweet at him. I've done that, but you know,
I'm just a guy. Oh wait, Dave reinstated his Twitter account.
Never mind, Yeah, that was funnier back in the day.

Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
This is great too.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
I turned on the radio and thought, what I was
hearing must be a joke. Sounds like an SNL skit.

Speaker 4 (01:00:11):
It was.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
In large regard, and Sean is such a talented comedian.
He's a younger guy. He lives in Tennessee. Now you
may have seen him in the news. He was one
of these conservative pundits, influencers, commentators, host, whatever you want
to call him.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Joe Paggs was another one.

Speaker 1 (01:00:31):
Most recently, I interviewed Cheryl Atkinson, formerly of CBS and
a very credible journalist. She was swatted and what that
means is some you know, hooligan, ne're do well filling.

Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
A blank word whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
He on youth, the scriptor for that calls the police
and said there's a murder scene at a particular home
or a murder suicide in progress, and they saw this
is really serious, dark stuff. And so the police misinformed
as they are are going to this house and treating
it as a volatile situation, perhaps a hostage type situation,

(01:01:05):
somebody looking to commit suicide by cop. You've seen this
unfortunately when you watch some of these news shows, true crime,
et cetera. And they're going in swat teams, ready to
break down doors, send in tear gas, you know, fire
if they have a fear they might be fired upon.
This really serious stuff and Sean was a victim of that,

(01:01:26):
and that needs to be rooted out. Hopefully the FBI
is all about it. This is five to ten minutes.
I will never get back. I'm not sure when that
one happened there. Sorry, I stole that time from you.
Guilty as charged? And what's this one?

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Ryan?

Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
Can you give a little behind the scenes and tell
the steps you took to talk to Trump today? Ross
will be jealous. I think Sean would go on with Ross.
But behind the scenes is you know. I've talked to
Sean both on air and off, and I love the
presentation of a comedy sketch. I a channel maybe like
a Dan Ackroyd, where I'm playing the straight man, right,

(01:02:04):
and Seawn just riffs and does this thing.

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
We do not prepare for it. It is not scripted.

Speaker 1 (01:02:08):
He doesn't have any idea what I'm going to ask him,
And I think what that does is it gives that
feeling of a real live interview setting and interaction. And
I would ask questions that I would literally ask President Trump,
like I asked about Pete hag Seth or the economy.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
There are concerns about the tariffs. These are real questions.

Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
It's just that Shawn's giving maybe some caricature type answers,
but you can kind of imagine that they aren't far
off from what you would have really gotten from DJT.
So our thanks to Sean Ferrish for joining us. A
tremendously talented comedian. You can listen to his podcast Ungoverned
and you can find that at Farrishmedia dot com, and
once again, you can follow him on x at Sean

(01:02:49):
sha w n Underscore Farish fa A s h as.
That rounds out our number two here on the Ross
Kaminski Show, Ryan Schuling filling in back with our third
and final hour after this on KOA got some texts
about that fifty six six ninety. I'm sure he'll give
you all the details, or at least I hope he
does not leave us hangings that he could share I

(01:03:10):
mean you can talk about what you can't talk about
the trial while it's going on. One of our texters
I'm trying to dig this one up, said that in
Colorado the trials are either one day or one trial.
The jury duty it says it right here. Jury duty
in Colorado is one day or one trial. So if

(01:03:31):
it's one day, then I'm trying to think of, like
what case would that be. It couldn't be highly involved
with lots of witnesses that are across exam and no, right,
I mean that kind of trial would take a couple
of weeks or Dan Kaplis type trial.

Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Yeah, it takes about a.

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
Week at least, you know, for those that are foolish
enough to take him on head on.

Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
Because you don't do that.

Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
I tell him all the time, and this is not
just me, you know, kissing up or whatever. He doesn't lose.
The guy doesn't lose. So let's start there. And then secondly,
if you are a big law firm representing insurance company
and you're going to you give the docket and you
look at who's on the other side of that, and
you see Dan Campell, So like, okay, how do we
settle this let's go ahead and not go to court
with this one. But these firms, they test fate and

(01:04:18):
they always lose. It's like the Washington General's going up
against the Harlem globe trotters and they're not gonna win,
giving it the good old college truck. I guess so,
And you can send those texts along five six six
nine zero. This one says that was hilarious, thanks for
the relief. That was referring to President Trump joining us
on the previous hour that was portrayed by Sean Ferrish.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
It was a parody. This texter has a point.

Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
The problem with this is someone is going to take
soundbites from this and try to pass it off as
actual Trump quotes.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
They could.

Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
We know it's parody, and if you do that, you're foolish.
So if a news org, let's say, comrade Kyle Ninews, like, oh,
Donald Trump was on KOA, or this Ryan guy filling
in for Ross, let's use this. I mean, he's gonna
lose all credibility.

Speaker 10 (01:05:06):
You've got to do your due diligence and listen to
the entire segment, if not the entire show, now come
on and then go oh wait, yeah, well the moral
of the story is, like I said, Sean is just.

Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
That good This guy on SNL, I think he's James
Austin Johnson that does the recurring Trump impersonation on Saturday
Night Live after Alec Baldwin stopped doing it. I think
Alec Baldwin is okay. But when you have contempt, contempt
for the person that you're portraying, I don't think you
can do a real faithful, believable adaptation of it.

Speaker 10 (01:05:39):
It doesn't feel like you're really trying. It's just the
hatred that oozing out. And I didn't know that James
Austin Johnson hates Trump. I have a pretty strong suspicion
he doesn't like him. But why Shane Gillis is so
good at it? And I would say his is like
an anus.

Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
If Sean Ferrish is the build standard as an A
plus is because he does it and it's with a
kind of glimmer in your eye, and it's it's funny.
You're trying to be funny, and you can do that.
But there's a lot of people out there, Oh no,
nothing about Trump is funny. First serious, He's gonna end
the world World War three. We're all gonna die like, Okay,
settle down, back away from the kool aid. This is

(01:06:17):
not Jim Jones, So it's not the world is not
gonna come to an m But when you look at,
for instance, Dana Carvey portraying George Herbert walker Bush, he
was phenomenal at it.

Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
He was so good, he was so good.

Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
Get this. President Herbert Walker Bush had a really good
sense of humor. He did about himself. He did a
cold open on SNL himself. While that's bad, that's bad,
ye thousand points a light. He had all these little
kind of catchphrases that Dana Carvey picked up on and
had the mannerisms down. He once said that in order
to get to the George Herbert walker Bush voice, he

(01:06:54):
simply combined John Wayne and Fred Rogers and he brought
him together. Well, President Bush the Elder had Dana Carvey
into the Oval office, this is a legendary story, Dana
tells it, and had Dana make a call like on
the red phone to Secret Service or something. And meanwhile

(01:07:15):
President Bush is off sitting on a chair just like
giggling and laughing. Is Carvey's just carving it up as
President Bush and nobody could tell.

Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
That's how good it was. But why it was good.

Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
Dana would was invited to the very last Christmas party
for the Bush administration. They had just lost, you know,
a tough election to Bill Clinton in nineteen ninety two.
So that December for Christmas, President Bush shows up, Barbara,
the whole gang, and they invite Dana, and Dana gives
a little address to the gathered crowd there. And the

(01:07:50):
Bushes loved Dana Carvey and Dana loved them. It was
a love fest. They got along, and that's okay. That
was okay back then. Now I had not heard because
unfortunately Phil Hartman died, but he did a great Bill Clinton,
I mean, the legendary McDonald's sketch where he's wearing the
Georgetown hat and the Arkansas sweatshirt and Kevin Neeland's secret
service and he demonstrates all the items of food that

(01:08:13):
are like ad to Somalia intercepted by war lords. I
don't know that I've ever seen public comment from Bill
Clinton on the Hartman impersonation or Darryl Hammond, who also
did a phenomenal job. But again in those instances, it
was done with kind of a wink and a nod
and it was fun. And there's a lot about Bill

(01:08:35):
Clinton to make fun of. And then with Will Ferrell
and w that was not as warm of a relationship,
I'm told. And Will Ferrell is a dedicated left this
and that's fine, But I still found the w impersonation
that Will Ferrell did to be funny because it was lighthearted.

Speaker 2 (01:08:52):
It was poking fun at his tendency to invent.

Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
Words like strategicy in that debate, and it's great and
I don't know what it is, but like where I
reside in the political spectrum now, it wasn't always this way,
but I love having a sense of humor about my
own side. I think you have to keep that in mind,
you know, to separate yourself in some way, to maintain

(01:09:17):
a level of sanity and objectivity. I know Donald Trump
is funny and he says things that are like outlandish,
I mean, that's who the guy is. But my whole
point about Donald Trump always has been, this is the
same Donald Trump that we're getting right now that existed
forty years ago. And I even talked about this with
comedian Bobby Collins, a New Yorker who despises Donald Trump,

(01:09:39):
and we were talking off Aaron. To Bobby's credit, it's
not really part of his act. He kind of stays
away from that, and that's a choice, and I get it.

Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
I get why he would do that.

Speaker 1 (01:09:47):
But he was talking about how Trump's an a hole
and he treats people like that, Da da da da,
and I'm listening. I go, well, but he's always been
that way. He goes, yeah, I go all right, Like
it's not like he just transformed and turned into this
monstrous orange man and threat to the world. Well, he's
saying all the same stuff now, especially on tariffs and
trade and some of these things that Ross is very

(01:10:09):
uncomfortable with. And I get Ross's standpoint as to why
he is. Trump's always championed those points. Though he's always
been a populist. He's not really a traditional conservative Republican.
He's a populist. Sean Fain the president of the UAW
that's not a Republican organization, and he endorsed Kamala Harris.
Sean Feine did, but he came out in support of

(01:10:31):
these auto tariffs, and I still see them as a
means to an end. And that's a separate conversation. But
the point being Donald Trump is who he is. He's
always been this guy, and whether you like him or
hate him, then just be consistent. Because a lot of
these people were his best buddy, Oprah Winfrey, Howard Stern,
There's a long list, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, the Clinton's.

(01:10:52):
They were all friends with Donald Trump and he was
the same guy back then, except he wasn't a political
threat to them as he became in twenty six. Team,
we'll take a break, we'll come back. More of your
texts at fifty six, six ninety still to come. Jennifer
Say joins us. She is the CEO of x x
X Y Athletics, former executive at LEVI in reaction to

(01:11:13):
a Supreme Court ruling in Great Britain on the definition
of a woman and also this ongoing battle between the
Trump administration and the state of Maine and the participation
of transgender athletes in women's and girls sports.

Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
All that still to come.

Speaker 1 (01:11:27):
Ryan Shuling in for Ross Kaminski here on KOA.

Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
I missed the Trump speeches.

Speaker 9 (01:11:33):
Trump gave what I think was probably one of the
greatest speeches of world leaders, given you know, it's got
to be up there with like Churchill Getty Spurge address.

Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
Anyway.

Speaker 9 (01:11:46):
For real though, it was my favorite speech I've ever
seen a president give. It was the night is the
night the United States killed the leader of Isis. Trump
comes out of the situation room at like midnight in
the White House, and he walks down that tunnel like
he's gives a press conference, like he's given a postgame
NBA just killed a guy press conference. He walks up
in front of the entire world at midnight and just goes,

(01:12:07):
aboo bacar out back.

Speaker 4 (01:12:09):
Daddy is dead. He died like a dog.

Speaker 8 (01:12:13):
And that's all hit boots.

Speaker 9 (01:12:22):
I did take one word of that. That's what he
opened with.

Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
It's troupe.

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
Shane gillis there from his Netflix special Beautiful Dogs.

Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
This is what I was referencing earlier.

Speaker 1 (01:12:30):
I'm so glad that I found it in this Monday
edition of The Roskaminski Show, Ryan Schuling filling in. Here's
another taste, just describing what actually happened. And you may
have seen this too, intersposed with when Barack Obama President
Obama at the time announced the death of Osama bin
lad and how serious and sober it was.

Speaker 2 (01:12:50):
And Trump had a different style and.

Speaker 9 (01:12:51):
Then he did forty minutes. The speech is forty minutes
for no reason. It wasn't a prepared speech. He frees
out forty straight, not even a speech, just mean talk
for forty meters. Talk you've ever heard in front of
the whole world.

Speaker 2 (01:13:06):
Aboo.

Speaker 1 (01:13:09):
We could hear him crying.

Speaker 9 (01:13:10):
I said, up, cry, let me tell you something abooed.
He cried quite a bit. I wouldn't have cried, cry
baby back daddy, that's what we.

Speaker 1 (01:13:21):
Were all calling.

Speaker 2 (01:13:24):
Yeah, they didn't stop there.

Speaker 9 (01:13:26):
I love thinking about Trump in the situation room watching
a live military operation.

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
He's the only doing in the room that wasn't military.

Speaker 9 (01:13:33):
He must have been the only dude watching it that
was like, Oh, you can tell he's never seen it before.

Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
By the speech.

Speaker 9 (01:13:40):
The speech sounded like a guy just trying to tell
you some he Saul, just like a lot of guys
would knock on the front door.

Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
Not these guys, not our guys, not our guys.

Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
Our guys went through the wall.

Speaker 9 (01:13:53):
They blew up his wall. And they used dogs, beautiful dogs.
Beautiful dogs is the funniest detail that's true. They actually
did use It was the Army Rangers, and they used
dogs because they were afraid outback Daddy. He was gonna
be wearing a suicide vest, so they killed him with
dogs and a robot and then made fun of him

(01:14:17):
for crying.

Speaker 15 (01:14:19):
Let that guy cry.

Speaker 9 (01:14:20):
That's the scariest death I've ever heard of. That dude
was laying in his bed in the middle of night.
His wall exploded in. Ten dogs in a robot.

Speaker 1 (01:14:28):
Broken in dude.

Speaker 9 (01:14:30):
Ten dogs wearing helmets and goggles broke into his house.

Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
The Paul Patrol, the actual bulk Shane Gillis, he's great.
And the Trump shoes Scotts. That's one to catch as well.
Probably find that on YouTube where it's a faithful adaptation.
It sounds like something Trump would actually say and do,
and that's what makes it funny in my view. Five
six six nine zero. You can text us there. Kind

(01:14:55):
of related to satirical humor are the clever song lyrics
by newcomer Jesse Wells. He is clearly from the left,
although some of his work is almost middle of the road,
but his skill is undeniably amazing. That's a great point
because if you're a comedian, a musician, whatever. And I'm
really disappointed recently in Bill Burr because he's gone off
the deep end to the left, you know, saying things

(01:15:17):
like free Luigi talking about Mangione, the murderer of the
United Healthcare CEO. Bro, Now you lost it. That's thefanzi
jump to the shark moment. What are you doing? But anyway,
if you're a comedian, keeping people off balance, something like
Andy Kaufman was a master at that as well, makes
you more interesting, makes people go, gee, I don't know

(01:15:38):
what's he going to do next. This guy's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
He could do anything.

Speaker 1 (01:15:41):
But when you dedicate yourself to a political cause and
you're only going to rip on the right and you
can only what they call this is also stupid. I've
had this conversation with Carlos Mencia. The notion of punching down. No,
you're punching level, because everybody you view that you're making
fun of is on the same level. You don't to
send to somebody because you think you're they're lesser than,

(01:16:03):
they're not lesser than. Don't treat them like that, this
patronizing condescension. No, that doesn't work in comedy. And this
texture agrees. SNL has been trying to be funny for
years and failing miserably in recent years. Yes, at various
times throughout its run, SNL has been gold.

Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
It really has been.

Speaker 1 (01:16:23):
You'll meet no bigger fan historically of Saturday Night Live
than yours.

Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
Truly.

Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
I love the movie that came out about it. I
think Lauren Michaels is a genius. Mike Myers, Dana Carvey,
Phil Hartman, Kevin Neiland, who's come into comedy works here
in November. I'm gonna go see him. You know, there
are a lot of giants that have come out of
Saturday Night Live. Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, David Spade, and
I enjoyed them very much. And this one to close

(01:16:48):
out this segment. If Ross is on the jury, I
feel bad for the state slash victim. He's kind of
soft on crime, is he? I'd never heard that criticism
of Ross. It says, cut off a finger is soft
on crime. Oh that's a take. I don't know if
it's a good or bad take. It's a hot take,
so flaming hot. I got to go to break. I've
got to leave that one alone. I've got to sweat

(01:17:10):
it out here. So go to the bottom of the
hour for news and then coming up On the other side,
Jennifer Say joins us XXXY Athletics the battle between the
Trump administration and Maine on transgender participation in girls and
women's sports. After this Ryan schuling in for ross On Koe.

Speaker 16 (01:17:26):
Attorney General Pam Bondi announcing a Justice Department lawsuit against
the State of Maine over transgender athletes in school sports
and joining me. Now we have Maine's Attorney General, Aaron
Frye erin.

Speaker 1 (01:17:39):
Thank you so much for being here.

Speaker 16 (01:17:40):
So the DOJ alleges that your state is violating Title nine,
which mandates equal opportunities for men and women in sports.

Speaker 17 (01:17:48):
What do you say to that, Well, we understand what
they're arguing, as has been made clear by our governor
back in February, and as we've maintained from the very beginning,
we are confident at Title nine, along with the main
Human Rights Act, supports the position that our state is taking,
which is trans athletes do have the right to participate

(01:18:09):
in a sport that they identify with. It's been happening
for years, it's been done safely with all respective privacy,
and for Maine to change course now I believe would
put us in contravention of what Title nine and the
main Human Rights Act really support, which is making sure
there's access, full equity, and engagement in sports. So that's

(01:18:29):
why we're coughed in in the position we're taking again.

Speaker 1 (01:18:32):
Attorney General Aaron Frye of Maine on with Alex Witt
of MSNBC and joining us with the counter argument here
on the Rosskominski Show, Ryan Schuling. Filling in is Jennifer
Say and she's a former executive at Levi's. That's why
you heard the song from Dragon there about blue jeens
coming in. And now the founder and CEO of xx

Speaker 2 (01:18:58):
Jennifer, welcome, Thanks for having me.

Speaker 1 (01:19:01):
What is your response to the Attorney General from Maine
and his assertions.

Speaker 4 (01:19:07):
That they're ridiculous.

Speaker 15 (01:19:09):
The idea that banning males from women's sports would be
a Title nine violation is completely absurd when the whole
point of Title nine was to protect women's sex based
rights in the education system, and a boy saying he's
a girl and that it doesn't protect gender identity Title nine,

(01:19:31):
it protects biological sex. You probably are aware that just
last week the Supreme Court in the UK made the
ruling that you actually have to be forn a woman,
be a biological woman to qualify as a woman under
the law. Now, no one would think that you'd need
a you know, the Supreme Court to decide that. But

(01:19:52):
here in the US we seem to be moving in
the opposite direction. But his assertions are ridiculous, They don't
make any sense. And the fact is so the federal
law is that there can be no boys and girls sports.
You know, Trump signed an executive order on February fifth.
Now this isn't legislation, and unless there is legislation, that

(01:20:12):
could go away when we have a new president. But
right now that is federal laws. So everything he says
is ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (01:20:19):
Find her products xx dash xy athletics dot com online,
Jennifer say our guest. I go to two things based
on our previous conversations, Jennifer that I was a former
athlete high school and Juco, you're a former gymnast and
a very accomplished one. That really stand out to me
in this argument. First of all, everybody that argues for

(01:20:40):
transgender participation in athletics that I've seen has not participated
themselves with the exception of maybe super Bird and Megan Rapino,
but they didn't have to deal with this issue during
the era which where they came up. And for me,
it's a point that you made about gymnastics itself. For instance,
boys and men have to do the rings, the pommel horse,
the parallel bars rather than on even bars, and the

(01:21:03):
vault and the four routines that the women do. So
if there is no difference and a male can just
identify as a female and do those different events, then
why do we have separate men's and women's gymnastics events?

Speaker 4 (01:21:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (01:21:18):
And why today it's the Boston Marathon, which just happens,
is the women's qualifying time for half an hour slower
than the men's time.

Speaker 7 (01:21:26):
I mean, they know it.

Speaker 15 (01:21:27):
They know that there is male advantage that makes men
stronger and faster, you know, greater oxygen intake, for greater endurance.
You know, the list goes on and on, but they
don't care.

Speaker 4 (01:21:44):
It seems.

Speaker 15 (01:21:45):
I mean, it's obvious in the rules. You know where
the teaser placed in golf, where the net is placed
in volleyball, it's lower in women's volley In women's volleyball,
the ball is smaller. In women's basketball. I mean, the
list goes on and on, but I think the Boston
Marathon really illustrates the point. The qualifying time for women

(01:22:05):
is a half an hour slower than it is for men,
and yet today there are three categories at the Boston Marathon.
There's men, there's actually a non binary category. Qualifying times
for non binary are the women's times and half hours flower,
and there's women, and men can compete in all three
of those categories. There is no category that is protected
and for women.

Speaker 1 (01:22:26):
Again, this continues in Colorado as well with House Built
twenty five thirteen twelve about gender identity and what the
parents will affirm it. But this gets the basic issue
of fairness, Jennifer, and where even Gavin Newsom, the governor California,
who is contemplating, we know of, run for president twenty
eight acknowledged Charlie Kirk. Yeah, it's an issue of fairness

(01:22:48):
that is not fair, because if we're going to play
this out, there would be an equal number of biological
females who identify as male trans men. Part two diarticipating
in the men's divisions of any sport, and Jennifer, I'm
having a difficult time coming up with even one.

Speaker 15 (01:23:08):
Yeah, there aren't any. And you know, let me just
say about Newsome, the governor of my former home state.
He did say that it wasn't unfair, but if you
listen to the entire statement he made, he didn't end
by saying he was going to do anything about it.
And in fact, it's still happening in California and other
Blue states. There have been sixty instances of boys winning

(01:23:31):
high school track events in girls' divisions so far this
year alone. So that thing that, and a good portion
of those are in California. So the things that never
happens sure does happen a lot. But let me tell
you another story that just happened over the weekend. Because
you make a really good point, there aren't women who
identify as men that are competing in the men's category.

(01:23:53):
Suddenly identity is not so important that it be validated.
Mickey Hills. I don't know if you know who she is. Olympians.
She ran in Paris over the summer in the fifteen hundred.
She's a middle distance runner. She says she's non minor.
She's neither man nor a woman. According to her, some
days she feels very much like a man. Some days
she feels like a woman. Sometimes she feels like neither.

(01:24:15):
She posted a video this weekend attacking a woman who
ran in the Boston Ericon today named Natalie Daniels, who
we have partnered with, who did an interview with us,
basically saying what we all believe, or eighty percent of Americans,
that the women's race should be for women only. Well,
Nicky attacked her. And here's what I would say to Nicky,
You're not a woman, So why didn't you choose to

(01:24:37):
run in men's in the Olympics. Why did you choose
to run in women's? Because she thought every advantage for
herself and she knows that she wouldn't qualify in them.
Her very best time that she's ever achieved doesn't get
her anywhere close to competing in the Olympics in men
and then she sort of poo poos. Natalie Daniels is like, what,
why do you care? It's all supposed to be friends,

(01:24:59):
about fun and making friends and just finishing the race,
which is just so condescending. She clearly doesn't think that
she's trained her whole life to get into the Olympic.
Natalie Daniels has trained us as hard. Just because she's
not Olympic level doesn't mean she doesn't care where she places.
And guess what, batman that run in the women's division
displays another hardworking woman. So you know, I just it's

(01:25:22):
so frustrated because they know, they know, but then they
attack us and they weaponize our empathy and they call
us bigots, and then women are too afraid to stand
up and demand fairness. But we're going to keep talking
until we get it.

Speaker 1 (01:25:36):
And she's going to keep talking, Jennifer say, and once again,
xx x y athletics. You can find that online and
a X you can follow her at Jennifer say, that's
se Y At the end, I find it completely ironic
that the Attorney general from Maine was maintaining that is
a protection of Title nine, Jennifer, to allow trends identifying

(01:25:58):
females to compete in women's sports, when the point you
just made is a valid one and needs to be repeated.
It is displacing biological women scholarships, opportunities, medals, championships, left
and right.

Speaker 7 (01:26:13):
Yeah, I mean, the reason he says that is.

Speaker 15 (01:26:17):
Because the left operates under this lie that trans women
are women. They operate under this lie that if you
say you're a woman, you are a woman, and therefore
this non woman is protected under Title mind. But Trump
reversed all of that with the executive orders. He went
back to the original meeting of title novel, which is
really what we should be operating under. And it's pretty

(01:26:41):
cut and dry. He also states the Attorney General that
it would be a violation of their state law, which
prioritizes gender identity. But the federal law is no boys
and girls sports according to the February fifth Executive Order,
and according to the Constitution federal law, Trump's state laws.
He really ought to get on board, but May seems

(01:27:03):
willing to die on this hill. They really seem willing
to die on the sort of letting boys field girls trophies.
And I just have to scratch my head that they
think they're like civil rights civil social justice warriors fighting
this fight. It takes rights and opportunities away from girls.
I don't understand it. There's some sort of mass like

(01:27:23):
coosis that's taken home.

Speaker 2 (01:27:25):
Jennifer.

Speaker 1 (01:27:26):
You mentioned Olympic standards a couple of times, and it
leads me to this very good question from a Texter.
What is the World Olympic stance on trans participation, and
it seems to me that that varies. I'll let you
clarify as well. Whereas in swimming, Leah Thomas etc. Was
not permitted to participate and compete as a female. And
yet the really lasting image for me from the last

(01:27:49):
Olympic Games was Imani Calif of Algeria defeating Angela Karini
of Italy, who was in tears forty six seconds into
the match, saying she'd never been punched that heart in
her life. There is a dispute as to what gender
Imani Khalif actually is identifies as was born as is
it x x y. I don't know any of that,
But what can you tell us about the Olympic standards?

(01:28:11):
Are they going to be handled sport by sport or
do you think the IOC is going to rule on
this before the next Summer Games.

Speaker 15 (01:28:18):
Yeah, so right now it is handled sport by sport.
And you're correct the governing body for swimming does not
allow trans identified notes to compete in women. It is
also true of the governing body for track and field
World Athletics that is led by Sebastian co.

Speaker 7 (01:28:36):
There is a newly.

Speaker 15 (01:28:37):
Appointed or elected head of the International Olympic Committee. Her
name is Kirsty Coventry. We don't know where she stands.
She has made some statements saying that she believes that
women's sports should be protected and for women only. Should
not take an action on this yet, I mean the
IoT as well within its.

Speaker 7 (01:28:55):
Right to do so.

Speaker 15 (01:28:57):
Currently it is governed by each individual's for body. And
the reason we saw Amani Calipe, who is not tramp
but is a male with a chromosomal abnormality. He brought
the doctors and his parents probably and he himself thought
he was female up until a search point in his

(01:29:18):
life puberty, and I think at this point there is
evidence that he knows he isn't boxed mail but he's
still competing in the women's division because boxing was overseen
by the IOC and not that international sport governing body
because it's some controversy with IAB, and the IOC allowed it.
Their rule was, if your passport says you're a woman,

(01:29:40):
you are, but you know paperwork is bunge of all.

Speaker 1 (01:29:43):
Sex is not very well put, Jennifer, say our guest, now, Jennifer,
it's been my opinion and We've seen kind of one
off examples here and there. Certainly NCAA swimming with Riley
Gaines becoming a voice and affiliated with you through xxx
Y Athletics and her battle, her campaign and all the
heat that she has taken against Leah Thomas's participation.

Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
We know about the case of.

Speaker 1 (01:30:05):
Peyton McNabb in volleyball suffering a spiked volleyball to the
head that has inflicted permanent damage.

Speaker 2 (01:30:11):
Gavin Newsom was asked.

Speaker 1 (01:30:13):
About a track and field athlete by Charlie Kirk in California.
We've seen this happen as well in Connecticut, so they're
all over the map here, and we know that perhaps
this showdown between Maine and the Trump administration might get
us some answers. But it's always been my theory that
we would need to see something so ridiculous like a
biological male dunking in the WNBA for it to get

(01:30:34):
the notoriety, the traction, the attention that would finally put
an end to this. Is that what it's going to take,
or are we going to arrive at the right conclusion
sooner than that?

Speaker 4 (01:30:46):
Gosh, I just don't know what.

Speaker 15 (01:30:47):
It's going to take at this point. I mean, we've
just had these disturbing imager images that you cited from,
you know, the Olympics, with Riley standing next to Will Thomas,
you know, looking so obviously male. And yet the Democrats
are bringing in their heels. They seem to want to
just give election to Republicans time and time again on

(01:31:10):
this very silly issue. That it's not silly, it's really
about defending biological reality. But it's silly that they're digging
their heels in on it. That's what I meant, and
they seem to be they will not admit that they
are wrong. They will not admit that they are not
only out of touch with the American people, but with

(01:31:30):
biological reality.

Speaker 4 (01:31:32):
And I.

Speaker 15 (01:31:34):
Don't know what it will take, but I will tell
you this, I'm going to keep fighting. And here's the
other point I will make is eighty percent of Americans
agree with us. It really doesn't feel like that when
you're out here talking about it. The minority is very
loud and very bullying and harassing, and it keeps most
of that eighty percent quiet. And I think what it
will take is that eighty percent standing up and saying

(01:31:57):
we're not going to tolerate this anymore. That's point the
Democrats might actually come around, because you know they'll just
have no shot at ever winning.

Speaker 1 (01:32:08):
Again, Jennifer say our guest, and one final question, Jennifer
comes to me from my colleague Mandy Connell, and that
is about California. You left California, you came here to Colorado.
It's one of the reasons I love having you on
these stations here in Denver because you speak to it
from a local viewpoint. But you left California, you left

(01:32:31):
Levi Strauss, and we see Gavin Newsom, as we mentioned,
maybe moderating his positions on this now. Whether or not
he'll do anything or he's just doing it for political expediency,
that's a different question. But I just want to get
your take, your input, if you have any about the
new mayor of San Francisco and Daniel Lurie, who succeeded
London Breed, who is an heir to the strauss a fortune,

(01:32:54):
and whether or not you think that might be a
step in the right direction.

Speaker 2 (01:32:57):
Basically, Mandy's question.

Speaker 1 (01:32:58):
Was does she have reason to believe that he might
make things better in San Francisco.

Speaker 15 (01:33:05):
Oh gosh, I'm trying not to pay attention to local
San Francisco politics. I'll be super honest, you know, trying
to get more acquainted with Denbra politics and Colorado politics,
and I'm very concerned about the direction we're headed here,
and in fact, i'm the chairperson for about initiative here
in Colorado to protect girls sports. But from the little

(01:33:28):
bit i've read people seeing, I think encouraged as far
as the direction he's going to clean up the streets
and attempt to sort of end this rampant drug use
on the streets of San Francisco and to sort of
put businesses first because that will help put employment first

(01:33:50):
citizens in San Francisco. So you know, I think the
initial days are encouraging, but I honestly, I'm trying not
to stay too connected to my former state's politics.

Speaker 8 (01:34:01):
But you know, you know, I serve didn't.

Speaker 15 (01:34:03):
Finish the thought about Gavin. You know, he did make
much Ado in his conversation with Charlie Kirk about how
it's not there, but he ended his statement by saying,
but we're picking on a vulnerable population and so really
the subtext of that was we need to let these
boys have what they want, or else they you know,
will kill themselves, and you know, who cares what the

(01:34:25):
girl's rights are in terms of privacy and fairness. These
boys are really sad. I'm obviously paraphrasing. It is not
the responsibility of young female athletes to protect the feelings
of boys who are clearly suffering. You know, it's not
their responsibility. That's like saying to a woman who is

(01:34:47):
abused by her husband and that husband threatens, you know,
if you leave me and kill myself, that she has
to stay with him so he doesn't kill himself. It
is not the responsibility of these girls. But I think
when you listen to Gavin's entire statement, he makes it
very clear he is not going to do anything on that.

Speaker 4 (01:35:02):
Now. If the DOJ pursues.

Speaker 15 (01:35:04):
California as well, they might be convinced.

Speaker 4 (01:35:06):
Otherwise.

Speaker 15 (01:35:07):
They think they're trying to make an example of Maine,
and I hope they do it.

Speaker 4 (01:35:10):
Well.

Speaker 1 (01:35:10):
We're proud and happy to have you in Colorado, Jennifer say,
and we thank you for your time today and wish
you luck on that ballot initiative what you're working on,
which of course I think most.

Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
Colorado's will support.

Speaker 4 (01:35:21):
I hope.

Speaker 1 (01:35:22):
So all right, Jennifer, thank you again and you can
follow her on x at Jennifer Say that's se Y
and the website xx dash x Y Athletics. Mandy Connell
in the house, I asked the question you wanted me
to ask her.

Speaker 18 (01:35:33):
I did appreciate that, Yes, honestly, Like I mean, do
I really care what happens in San Francisco?

Speaker 1 (01:35:37):
No, I don't. Style tone that's always a bad thing.

Speaker 18 (01:35:40):
Yeah, sorry about no, I don't. But I do feel
like they're a little bit of a canary in the
coal mine for Denver. Right, right, So if we pursue
the same policies at San Francisco has been pursuing what
we've been doing, it would behoove us to kind of
watch if they try to write the ship and maybe
emulate some of that instead of all the garbage we've
been emulating instead.

Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
Well, I try to emulate you in a lot of ways.

Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
So what you could do worse? What's coming up on
your program?

Speaker 18 (01:36:04):
We're gonna talk to Mayor Mike Kaufman from Aurora. The
New Common Sense Institute report on homelessness. It really does
a deep dive on housing first versus uh, you know,
earned housing, which, as I guess, the way to call it,
and we're gonna dig deep into that.

Speaker 1 (01:36:18):
We're also going to talk.

Speaker 18 (01:36:19):
About is there any hobby you would want to do
every single day of your life, every single day, if.

Speaker 1 (01:36:23):
You could play cribbage in a cabin every day of
your life, I would.

Speaker 2 (01:36:27):
I'm an old man, you know. Out of all the things.

Speaker 18 (01:36:31):
Ryan Schuling might have said, playing cribbage in a cabin
not even in the top twenties.

Speaker 2 (01:36:36):
That's it.

Speaker 18 (01:36:37):
You're many surprises, Thank you, Thank you, appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (01:36:40):
And you could stay tuned for Mandy Connell coming up
straight ahead. That'll do it for me from here for
now for ros Kominski, I'm Ryan Schuling. He's back tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (01:36:47):
This is koa
