The Sets In Order American Square Dance Society under the direction of Bob Osgood, established two lists of calls that made up Modern Square Dancing; 50 Basics and 75 Extended Basics.  SIOASD released albums for their subscribers which featured prominent callers from around the world to support use of the SIOASD lists.  This album used the 50 Basics which was designed for the occasional square dancer.

This past week the square dance world lost one of the most recognized callers - Elmer Sheffield, Jr.  A great caller who has been featured at festivals in the US and internationally as well as the producer of ESP Records, one of the top labels in our activity.
