Speaker 2 (01:20):
Well we welcome you into my Rig's Crampton Bowl, a
historic place for tonight's Thursday night matchup between the Opelika
Bulldogs and the Carver Wolverines. Final regular season game. Hard
to believe as the Dogs will have played ten straight
ball games leading into an off week next week before
they get ready for a whole playoff game, first time
in the playoffs in seven am. The first time hosting
a playoff game for the Bulldogs and it'll be an

(01:42):
exciting time coming up on November the eighth inside Bulldogs Stadium.
Opelika will find out their opponent after everything is sorted
out tomorrow night, after the final regular season week of
region games. Now there is one more are still regular
season week to go next week, but of course Opelika
will be off this Carver team very impressive five and
three on the season, three and three in region play.

(02:03):
Now the Wolverines are kind of sitting on the outside
looking in right now. If enterprise takes care of business
tomorrow night over a windless Smithstation team that would end
the season for the Carver Wolverines, and Carver dropped their
first game of a tough stretch and region play to
Enterprise back on October third, follow it up with a
close loss at Central a couple of weeks ago, and
then Auburn last week twenty nine to fourteen. They really

(02:24):
feel like they had that Central Phoenix City game one
in Phoenix City. Some crazy plays and some crazy things
happened in Phoenix City that night, and it was the
Red Devils coming out on top. And that was all
after being ranked in the top ten all season as
Wolverine team was really projected to be a surprise team
in the region. They've got some high powered SEC talent
and this is going to be a tough team tonight.

(02:46):
How about this. Listen to this Central Phoenix City again
against Central Phoenix City. This Carver offense twenty to fifty two,
four hundred and eleven yards, ninety five yards rushing. Against
Auburn last week, they threw it sixty five times in
the air, thirty seven to sixty five passing for four
hundred and ninety two yards passing and minus four yards rushing.
So they're gonna chunk this thing up in the air.

(03:07):
Bulldogs come in tonight, really getting a lot of tension
now around the state after the knocked out Central Phoenix
City last week. Five and one in Region play, eight
and one overall and now ranked number three according to
the Alabama Sports Writers. Coach McCracken kind of the target
on the back for the Bulldogs tonight, and they're gonna
get the best shot from Carver tonight because it's senior
night as they're getting honored here on the field.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Man, You're absolutely right, this is going Hey, this is
going to be a completely different animal than what we
had last week. We've I'm gonna get into the play
the keys of the game in a few minutes.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
But this is a very, very good football team.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
When we used to coach against Carver and Lanier and
Jeff Davis and Lee, all these Montgomery screws are capable of.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Beating anybody on any given night.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
And these guys have some great athletes on offense, and
so we got to shut them down on defense and.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Then keep the football.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
I'll talk about that a little more later, but this
goes all the way back to when iw Pickett coach
at Carver, always had some great players. Jeremy Johnson played
for Carver if you remember him, and we had that
great game in twenty twelve that propelled us to the
state championship game. They're a really good football team. This

(04:29):
is going to be This is going to be a
great game tonight, I think. But if we play the
way opal Like is capable of playing, we'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
All right, Well, there's been a little injury on the field.
Updates of folks on a here in pregame and open
Like a cheerleader has actually in warm ups here Bell
and hit head Ma and we don't want to speculate
on the injury, but I believe everything's okay. The medical
team is sorting things out down there and she's being
tended to on the opal Like a sideline. So a
little prayer up there for the Opalika cheerlead. Don't know
who it was, but as she gets tended to. We'll

(05:03):
continue with our pregame show. It's presented as it is
each week by the fine folks at Frederick Dean Funeral Home,
and we'll come back as our pregame show continues with
our visit with coach Brian Moore that's coming up on
the way next right here on the Kicker.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Now it's time for a pregame visit with OPA LAKA
head football coach Brian Moore, presented by South State Bank.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Now with Coach, here's Van Riggs Thursday Night Football here
inside historic Crampton Bowl vision with coach Brian Moore and
coach I know what exciting game that was last Friday
and that they went over Central lock it in the
playoff spot, number two seed in the region. You know,
you've got the home field advantage and this Carver team,
I know their back's going to kind of be against
the wall right now because you know, the playoffs are

(05:43):
kind of out of the picture for them more or less,
and tonight's just kind of playing for pride. How do
you approach this game tonight?

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Well, it's been you know, for as your team. The
mentality has to still be there. I mean, you've got
to still be you know obviously, you know, competitive.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
And ready to go.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
It's been a different week.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
You know for us truthfully, because we're in uncharted territory,
you know, as far as the program and so you know,
managing that and managing you know, continuing to want to
win the game and even when the kids understand that.
You know, we've already locked up the playoff birth. You know,
that's been a challenge, but I think it's one that
we've handled okay and gotten more relaxed. I guess as
the week is going on, because again, big emotional win

(06:23):
has really been three in a row. You know that
that makes it difficult as well. So that's been a
big challenge for our coaching staff and one we talked
a ton about through the week. But we're going to
try and win the game and you know, play our
best because I think it does affect our momentum going forward.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
I know you were going back and watching the film
of the central game. There were some good things your
team did that you really liked, and there were some
things that you really got to go.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Back and work on, no doubt. I mean I thought
two of the three phases played really well. Not perfect
by any means. I thought we played well special teams wise.
You know, Rees kicked it really well, Zy kicked it
really well. You know, all of our operations were really good.
Our kickoff coverage was outstanding all night. Just in our
return games, we're fine. I mean, Jaywash had a return
out with the forty two. Our field position was significantly

(07:05):
better than there, something we chart and so I thought
we played well there. And then defensively, I thought we
played really good. I mean we gave up seventy yards
rushing three point three per carry, which is winning football.
I think they had like one hundred and seventy six
yards passing, and for them that is a very low number,
especially like one pass was like fifty yards. So we
really kept the ball in front of us, played extremely well.

(07:27):
Tiy Hudson played well, our whole front, Kievan played his
best game. Just really impressed with our defensive football team. Again,
there are things to fix, but you know, really that
third phase offensively, we just didn't feel like we played
great in the box. And you know, we've got to
win those wars is who we have to be. And
for our football team, you know, they go as far
as our offensive line. So we've challenged those guys this

(07:47):
week and I think they'll respond.

Speaker 5 (07:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
I know, the secondary guys are some of the guys
that were kind of beating up on early in the season,
and boy have they stepped up. And then to hoold
that central team to fourteen points was really I know,
secondary wise, they were challenged in that game, and they
really stepped up.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
We're just doing things right, you know, being being right
with our eyes, being disciplined. You know, you think back
to the Auburn game and giving up those two big
pass plays, and really outside of that, Auburn had not
done a lot, you know, and so I think we've
started to really focus on, you know, being being disciplined
back there. You know, our back end guys, Coach Smith
and Coach Murray and coach Dawkins and of course coach Massey,

(08:21):
they've all done a great job with them. And Tyreese
is playing great core, Devin Kievan, like I mentioned, Leland
Bale coming in playing Carson Mass. Those guys are playing
at a high level right now.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
It has to continue.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
If we can you know, keep things in front of us,
tackle on the back end like we did against Central,
you know, our box will win.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
You know, most nights.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
And you know Malik is coming on and Amari and
those guys. So you know, I really like where Devens
football team's at. You know, the level of talent, especially
Carver has can expose you quickly, and so we'll have
to continue to play good tonight.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Three really physical games. Really four you go back to
the Pike Road game, Coach, and your team has played.
How are they doing health wise? I know, And it's
a short turn around here on a Thursday night.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
That's the biggest concern.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
I mean, you know, we've played nine games in a row,
you know, and really there's been no you know, outside
of you know, really Jag and Smiths. You know, these
games have all been tight, and they've been they've been
tough to you know, to get through healthy. And we're
fortunate to be where we are right now. We're still
waiting on Bennet Young. He's close and uh we expect
him back any day and so, uh, you know, we're

(09:23):
fortunate in that way. But there are bumps and bruises.
I mean, you know, we've had knees and ankles and
stuff all year long. But to be where we are
is huge as far as our health. And then of
course we'll look forward to the bye week after this one.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
All right, more with coach after this time out. You're
listening top like a bull do on football some Thursday
night high school football coming your way from Montgomery's Crampton Bowl.
But more with coach after this time out here on
the kicker.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
You were listening to OBA like a high school football
here on ninety seven point seven kicker FM.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Now it's time for Coach Bence mccrackens Keys to.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
The Game, presented by Glenn Smith's Chevrolet GMC and OBAI.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Get ready to smile, All right, Coach McCracken, let's get
those keys to tonight's game.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
All right, let's start with the special teams, because this
is going to be really crucial. We need to block
a punt tonight, Van and return a punt at least
ten yards on our returns, no penalties. Want to kick
off return to at least the thirty five and kickoff
having no return, never passed the thirty yard line, no
bad snaps on any phase, and the punting team average

(10:28):
a minimum of thirty five yards. I think we can
win the kicking game tonight. Defensively, listen, they're gonna throw
the ball all over the field. They threw sixty five
passes against Auburn and sixty against Central and they completed
four hundred and something yards against both of those teams.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
I think four to ninety five against Auburn.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
So defensively, we got to we've got to prevent them
from getting big plays, get big plays throwing the ball.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
All right, we'll take a quick break. We got the anthem,
we'll come back and we'll finish up with your Keys
to the game. You're listening to Bulldog football right here
on the kicker. More of our pregame show continues after this.
All right, we're back here at Montgomery's Crampton Ball. It's
Thursday night. High school football action coming your way tonight

(11:24):
here from Crampton Ball is open like it gets ready
to ramp up the regular season against the Carver Wolverines. Coach,
we cut you off there on your Keys to the game.
Your final thoughts, Sarah.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
All right, just pressure this quarterback because he's gonna throw
the ball a lot. We got to get off the
field and let our offense run the football and keep
the football big plays, make a lot of first downs,
score a lot of points, and make sure our quarterback
is not making any mistakes tonight. He's really done a
good job all year, Kobe Key and I, well, of

(11:55):
course we expect him to do good again. And then
the last thing, Van, we want to be self disciplined tonight.
Do the right thing, do it on time, Do it
the best you can do it, and do it that
way all the time. The last five minutes.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Of the half we have not been playing good, and
the first five minutes of the third quarter we have
not been playing real good in the last three games.
So let's see if we can pick up on that.
And that's my keys, all right. Tell you what a
game conditions tonight brought to you by as they are
each week, by oplelike our first Baptist Church, Opelacah proud
to support Opelaika schools. If you can't make it to

(12:31):
the church service, you can listen to the entire worship
service every Sunday at eleven am right here on the Kicker.
And don't forget Fall Festival also coming up Sunday evening
in downtown Opelaca their Courthouse Square and the festivities will
start up at four thirty and wrap up with a
big fireworks show. And time now for our coin toss,
which is brought to you by Rentals out Doors. Rentals
Outdoors locally owned hunting, fishing and Archery and Outdoorstore. And

(12:52):
by the way, those game conditions help. If I told
you seventy six right now with clear sky is a
nice fall evening here Aunt Crampton bowl your captains for
the Bulldogs tonight. You kind of like foot Cam Rayley,
Reese Beasley and Keivian King and the dog coming out
in all white tonight, white tops, white bottoms, red numbers

(13:13):
outlined in black, and let's head down for the coin toss.
After the white hand meets, every one up.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
I got graduation to be a captain. The captain's come
a big responsibility. Okay, sports, we see, expect y'all to
be great.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
I want your team to be exit.

Speaker 6 (13:26):
Okay, three things that's you do expect the game of football,
respect each other, inspect us. Okay, all right, so you're
to visit team. You get the call on the coin
toss where you want heads and tails?

Speaker 2 (13:37):
For huh? For he said tails, that's heads and that's tails.
The tails and say I'm gonna throwing the eye and
we drop it. I'm gonna do it again. Okay, all right,
what do you call tails?

Speaker 5 (13:48):
All right? Here we go.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
It is tails.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
You want the toss the front of the second half,
one of the first second half.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
All right, so you heard up like a winning the
toss the fern of the second half. So we'll see
this high powered Carver offense. Get things started here at
Crampton Bowl. The lights are out except for on the
fifty yard line. The light show here at Crampton Bowl
getting ready to begin, and we've got football coming your
way next between opal Like and Carver. You listen to
Bulldog football here on the.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
Talk.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Ame back here in side Montgomery's Crampton Bowl, Ban Riggs
alongside coach Spits McCracken, make mccrack and our sideline reporter tonight,
Jeremy Till will be spotting our broadcast in Production Assistance
and Engineering Assistants tonight from Jason Lee. And we're just
about ready to go. The light show beginning here at
Crampton Bowl and Bulldog crowd still beginning to file in
a really good crowd here on the Carver Montgomery side

(14:45):
as it is Senior night tonight. Carver coming out and
the kelly green tops, yellow pants, yellow numbers, and the
white helmets with the yellow claw swipe across each side
of the helmet. Bulldog's light tops, white bottoms, red numbers
outlined in black, and of course traditional red helmets with

(15:07):
the dogs on each side. And we're just about ready
to go. Ople Like a winning the toss and a
fur end of the second half, so we'll see Bulldog's
kicking things off and it looks like it'll be Reese
Beasley who will continue doing the kicking duties tonight. We
did expect johnny'suscena to be available tonight as he's been recuperating.
Back deep is Trevin very dangerous return man and number

(15:28):
two Anthony Rodgers nicknamed Turbo, and he is a good one.
He is currently a four star prospect committed Alabama's a
running bag, but he'll play majority tonight as a wide receiver.
So both of them deep for Carver and Reese has
it teed up and looks like he will kick it
away from those guys short and it's going to hit

(15:50):
down at the thirty five yard line, and the return
man is hit and going to be brought down. That
is number four Rashan Walker there on the return for
the Wolverine. Ben Swank on the stop there for the Bulldogs.
So Carver will open up from their own thirty six

(16:10):
yard line and that will be first and ten as
we get ready to roll here from Crampton Bowl.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Yeah, I think Rees probably should have kicked out a
little further Van again.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
My pretty good field position. But that's okay. We'll start here.
Terrell Russell is the senior quarterback and the boy. He
took some punishment last week, but they threw it a lot.
As we mentioned, sixty four pass attempts last week against
the Opalaka Bulldog are against the Auburn I should say,
tigers up the four to two defense, trip's receivers to

(16:40):
the left side, a single receiver to the right side.
Here on first down for the Wolverines, Russell are gonna
roll right throws and he's got a call by the
receiver and they're gonna do a hooking ladder trying to
get it to Turbo Rogers Anthony Rodgers, but Carson Moss
is there for the stop it. We'll be short of
the first down, but up to the forty five yard line,

(17:00):
so trying to get a little trickeration there. I think
a little miscommunication here on the spot six or seven. Yeah,
it's going to be depending on where they marked this thing.
I think they're marking it back to the yeah, right,
they marked it to the forty four, so that's an

(17:22):
eight yard pickup. So it'll be secking out in short
here for the Wolverines four wide receivers, three to the right,
Sinkle receiver left option play quarterback will pitch it out
of the backfield. The running back Barry, who's got the
first town took a show ball and the ball is
knocked out and there's a scrabble for it, and it
looks like Opelika may have come up with it. All
the Bulldog players signaling boy Rod Barry took a shot

(17:42):
from Tyland door the linebacker. I think we got it. Hey,
they're going to sort it out of the opal like
a forty eight yard line. Could be a big turnover
here early and they say Carver back up with it.
So it'll be a first down run for the Wolverines
to the Opalaika forty eight. That's an eight yard pick
up there by Barry. I think that one did come out,

(18:03):
but a lucky break there for the Wolverine. So they're
in Opa like a territory, moving right to lef at
the Bulldog forty eight yard line first and ten Russell
out of the shotgun. He throws out here to the
near side. Norman's got it and lost it. Picked it
back up. They'll say incomplete pass. Amory Smiley was there
on the pressure and the head on TK Norman the

(18:25):
wide receiver. Good job by Mario right there. We got TJ. Thomas,
lightfoot Offterering Smiley up front, Ty Hudson and Toddler Moore,
your backers, Devin Dixon and Court Ingram, your corners, Carson Moss,
Tyreees Pitts and Kivan King your safeties. All right, So
with that incomplete pass, it'll be second and ten again

(18:46):
at the OPAL like a forty eight yard line. Again,
four wide receivers, three left, single receiver right, Russell out
of the shotgun, watching play again. Out of the quarterback.
We'll go left, cut back right. He's got a lane
and he'll take off and sprint down to the forty
yard line. Shy the forty. They'll mark him down at
the forty one yard line. So still a pick up
a seven yards there on the quarterback scramble by Terrell Russell.

(19:09):
Now that's gonna be about third and two, Third and
third and three, okay, yeah, third down and three at
the opalaka forty one yard line, and late substitution coming
in here for the Wolverines. Hard to see those sticks
over there. All right, We've got us get a stop here, ye,

(19:31):
Jamaris Harris checks of the ballgame for the Wolf means
and Opelaika pointing it out as far they move, move there,
and that will be a five yard penalty against the Wolverines.
That'll make this third down and two or three a
little bit closer, a little bit further. Rather, I tell
you one thing, though, Coach, I don't think they're punting it. No,
it's gonna be four down territory. This is gonna be

(19:53):
third and seven now, line of scrimmage, now the forty
six yard line. All right, here's your first there, third
down and eight. As we're just underway here starting the
first quarter, opening drive here for the Wolverines. Russell out
of the shotgun here on third and eight at the
Bulldog forty six. I'm chuck it here. Three wide receivers
left side, single receiver right. Russell drops back, throws here

(20:16):
near side and undershot his intended wide receiver Tristan Norman.
And it's incomplete that we'll bring up fourth down. We'll
see what coach Bobby carr Alex to do here. I
got a feeling he'll go for it. Coach car two
fifty five and fifty five is coaching record. He won
three state titles at a Tauga Academy seven state titles
at Edgewood Academy before getting his first crack at a

(20:40):
big head coaching job. In the Ahsaah, they got the
four to two. They're going to try to bring pressure here,
fourth and eight for the Wolverines. At the forty six
of Opolanka, pressure comes. He throws overshot. No, what's intercepted
by the Bulldogs at the thirty yard line. That's Ben
Swank on the interception and he slides down to the
thirty one yard line. Another great turnover by this Bulldog defense.

(21:00):
Then Swank with his first interception of the season. Great job, right,
great job right there by them. Well, I know he'll
have a happy family there, the Swank family and the
Meadows family there, yes, sir, and an interception there. Turnover on.
We'll bring the Bulldogs offense out for their first shot

(21:21):
and the Bulldogs will have it from there on thirty
two yard line. First and ten here for Kolby Key
in this offense. All right, we want to run this football,
keep it away from them wide receiver either side. The
handoff goes to the tailbag. Jordan waits and Waits gets
across the thirty five up to the thirty seven yard
line at six yards, isn't it? That's close to five? Okay,

(21:49):
good blocking up front, so that will be a second
down and five coming up here. Four second and six,
they'll say line of scrimmage of thirty six Bulldogs. When
they're on a thirty seven, Blake Johnson goes in motion
Key play action, kind of a busted play. He will
take off and run and he has hit out of

(22:10):
bounds near the Carver sidelines. I think he picked up
a yard up to the thirty seven, and we.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Got David Miller at left tackle, ap person Lee, Darius Whitlow,
Eric Mason will be you start and right tackle Tonight.
Blake Johnson and Calvin Hughglee, Brody Jones, Jamari Miller, Kobe
Key and Quiz Johnson.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Maurice Conner the cornerback in on the stop. That'll be
third and five Bulldogs from their own thirty eight yard line,
trying to keep this drive alive. Here on third down,
Key drops back throws here near side that was picked
off by Carver down the sidelines. Thirty twenty five twenty
nobody's gonna catch him. And he's gonna take it in
for the interception. Come al Ra Jackson stepped in front

(22:51):
of the round and I don't think he ever saw him.
And it is a pick six here for the Wolverines
and trading interceptions, but that one was really costly for
the ball as it's returned for a Carver touchdown and
they strike first with eight forty left here in the
first quarter. Only the fourth interception of the season there
for kolbe Key and first one return for a touchdown

(23:13):
against him. That's a big play for Carver. Yeah, no
doubt about that.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
And that's not a good way to start. It's gonna
have to fight our way back. I can't remember the
last time we've been down.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Well in a game. It was against Othan. Othan took
a seven to nothing lead and then Opelaika really turned
things on. But we'll see what Opelika can do. Here
is Carver's showing that they're going for two Anthony Rogers
will move over to the right side, two wide receivers
to the right and a single receiver to the left side,
and a flag comes in. It's going to be the

(23:46):
lay of game against the Wolverines. As they tried to
get things sorted out the lay of game against Carver,
so I don't think that will change the decision is
what coach Carr was going to do here, He's still
going to go for two kicking game not very strong
for the Wolverines. Two wide out's right, single receiver to

(24:08):
the left side. Quarterback Russell gets the snap, wants to
roll to the right, throws near the corner of the
end zone, and it is incomplete as it was knocked
away by court Ingram nicely. There So a six nothing
ballgame here with eight forty remaining in the first quarter.
We'll step aside quick time out. Carver on top early
here listening to the Bulldog football. I'm the kicker. Well,

(24:36):
first time the Bulldogs have found themselves trailing in a
ball game since back in the Dothan game, and you
got to go back a few weeks for that. But
hopeing like a down six nothing here is a short
kick far side of the field, but a flag is
thrown and around the forty four yard line. Looks like
this will be on the kicking team of Carver, maybe
off sides against the Wolverines. We'll waiting. I think he

(24:57):
went out of bound so didn't he The ball went
out of b didn't it. Well, they blew it dead
before really the kick even got oh okay, yeah, got going.
So they're gonna move them back five believe So okay, yeah,
I mean a five yard penalty against the wolver Rings.
They lead here six to nothing here in the first quarter,
eight to forty remaining, Bulldogs getting an interception on Carver's

(25:20):
first drive. The Bulldogs though with a costly interception to Carver,
one that was returned for a touchdown by Kamari Jackson,
the cornerback for the Wolverines. So Wolverines have it teed up.
They'll kick from right to left, and this time they'll
kick it from the thirty and they kicked down the

(25:40):
middle of the field, scooped up nicely by Brody Jones,
and they'll stop out of bounds up close to midfield.
I think they're going to say Brody got out of
bounds at the forty nine yard line. So the Dogs
will have really good field position from their own forty
nine yard line, and that'll be first and ten for
the Bulldogs and Hopeul like his offense, will need to
come out and answer. We'll see who comes in here

(26:04):
for Bulldogs at running back. Looks like it again. It'll
be Jordan Waits who will come in to run trips
receivers to the right side, and Key will work out
of the shotgun. First and ten. It's like the wolver
Rains are bringing pressure here. Key hands it off to Waits.

(26:24):
Waits trying to find some running room and he's gonna
be slung down back at the forty one yard line.
Just know where to go, they'll say, Ford progress at
the forty three. So a big loss on the play.
Jamaris Harris the linebacker all over that one and too
many green jerseys in the backfield there.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
Coach McCracken sure was it tried to run that sweep
over here, and when didn't block anybody.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
You gotta get this offense going now. A loss of
six yards on the play back to the forty three
yard line. They're whipping us up front so far. Key
out of the shotgun here. On second and sixteen, hand
off goes to Tommy Johnson. A good hole there. Johnson's
gonna get close to the fifty yard line. Picks up
seven yards, but still going to bring up a third

(27:08):
and pretty long here for the Bulldogs. Rashad Walker on
the stop there on the defensive line for the Wolverines.
It'll be third and to Bellive. It'll be third to
nine for the Bulldogs right at midfield. Tough conversion here,
Hopefully we can make it. We'll see Quiz Johnson roll
to the right side. He's gonna line up by himself.

(27:29):
Three receivers to the left side of the field. See
if Kobe can shake off that interception. Key gets the snap,
drops back's goot some time surveys the field, throws back
across the middle of the field of the forty three
yard line. It is complete. Gonna be short of the
first down, as that was Jamari Miller on the reception

(27:49):
that was seven yard pickup. But gonna be a fourth
and short. Looks like the offense will stay out here.
It's going to be around fourth and two here for
the Bulldogs at the Carver forty three yard long. This
big play. It's actually fourth and yeah. It's fourth and two.
Fourth and yeah, fourth and two at the Carver forty
two yard line. I formation here and a late man
getting off the field here for the Wolverines. Boy number

(28:11):
two Johnson was running across the field. I think to
get back to the sidelines, and Carver's gonna have to
burn a time out, so time out on the field.
We'll be back after this timeout six fifty four remaining
in our first quarter. A fourth and two coming up
for the Bulldogs, and we come back here on the kicker,

(28:33):
Carver having to burn a time out. It'll be fourth
and two out of the timeout, six fifty four remaining
in the first quarter, scoreless game, Kolby Key again. We'll
have an I formation here at the Carver forty three
fourth in short here for the Bulldogs. Calvin Hugley is
the running back, in Blake Johnson the full back here

(28:53):
head on fourth down, the stout will go to Big
Blake Johnson. He's got a scene down the left side,
but closed up and caught down quickly at the thirty
five yard yard line. But it will be an eight
yard pickup at a Lambert transfer and storage first down
for mister Blake Johnson.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Big Blake off tackle, rent at Billy to the left side,
running right at him.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Great call by the coaches. Six thirty nine the clock
running here in this first quarter and the first down
Bulldogs down to the thirty five yard line of Carver
and Key out of the shotgun here on this first
and ten play, gets the stamp handsed to Calvin Hugle.
He tried to run left side and got a block
at the thirty and going to be tackled right at

(29:31):
the three. Maybe didn't get quite to the thirty yard line.
I think got him at the thirty one yard line.
Good tackle there by. That's Javan Brown three yards, four
yard pickup four yards. Okay, second down at six. Hey,
the bulldog's hurrying back up to the line here. Kolby
Key gets the stamp handsed again to Calvin trying to

(29:53):
work that left side across the twenty five and a
first down run down to the twenty four yard line.
That's a seven yard run by Calvin Hugly. They marked
him right at the first down marker at the twenty
five yard line, but it's still enough for a first down,
so that will move the chains. A Lambert transfer and
storage first down and Calvin Hugly hits the deck here,

(30:16):
so I certainly hope he's okay. Well, Calvin just kind
of fell back and laid back on his back here,
so we hope he's okay. We'll take a quick time out,
five forty five remaining here in the first quarter and
six nothing Wolverines with the lead. You're listening to Bulldog
football here on the kicker. A scary situation near Crampton

(30:43):
Bowl right now is I believe Calvin Hugly just kind
of laid back after the run and came back to
the huddle and has laid down around the thirty three
yard line. The team from the Bulldogs is checking and
huddled all around. Even coach Bobby Carr now comes over
to check on the down open like a player. Mac.
This was a very bizarre injury, and I know not

(31:03):
a lot of information at this time.

Speaker 7 (31:05):
Yeah, he got up off the tackle right there, and
he walked back to the huddle on it and just
dropped real quick. He's sitting up. He's sitting up right now.
I'm wondering, you know, I don't know if it was
a cramp. I mean, they touched his legs and he
was able to move his left leg up.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
I almost wonder if he just kind of passed out.
That's what I was thinking. I mean when he laid back,
both hands went back and you know, certainly hope Calvin's okay.
It is Calvin. Correct.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
Yes, I'll keep you updated when he gets over there.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
All right. Good to see he's up on his feet
and walking off the field. Matt McCracken with a four
seasons Federal Credit Union sideline report. Calvin with a little
slow jog now to the sideline. So certainly a good
good to see coach Calvin trot off the field. That
is always scary. We got first down right here. Yeah,

(31:55):
it'll be first and ten Bulldogs at the twenty five
of Carver. As play resumes, and now in the ballgame,
Jordan Waits the tail back four of the Bulldogs, first
and ten. Now the clock starts back five forty to go.
It'll be an inside hand off to Waits, and Waits
is down to the twenty three yard line, and that

(32:15):
is going to be a pickup of two yards. Noah
May on the stop four of the Wolverines. It'll be
second out in eighteen clock running with five twenty two,
Carver leading six nothing, an interception return for a touchdown
the only score for the Wolverine second and eight. Now
Opoli like at the twenty three of Carver, Key changing

(32:36):
the play at the line of scrimmage. Now Blake Johnson
gets set to the left, It'll be Jordan Waits to
the right. Key gets the stamp hand off again, goes
to Jordan Jordan right side, good hold across the fifteen
Waits got the sidelines inside of ten five touchdown Bulldogs.
Heck of an answer there for Opelike. Jordan Waits in
the in zone for a twenty three yard touchdown run

(33:00):
and the Dogs striping the band of a four fifty
five left in the first Is there a flag on
the play? I believe there's a flag on the play.
After the play, so the white hat getting a word
from the shy judge. I think the flag may be

(33:22):
sideline warning. Oh, shide line warning. I think that was
on the coaching staff. Four fifty five left and the
Bulldogs lining up with a little swinging gate formation. Here
see if Opalaika tries to run a little trickeration, know
they bring everybody back in Reese Beasley to handle the
point after attempt. He was always he was already lined

(33:44):
up wide to the left. Brody Jones will hold and
here's the extra point attempt from Reese Beasley. Try to
give the Bulldogs the leaves. Good snap and the kick
is up good and the kick is good. Bulldogs answered
Carver led to start this game six nothing, but the
Bulldogs take the one point lead, seven to six, for

(34:06):
four to fifty five left in the first quarter. We're
back after this time out. You're listening to Bulldog football
here on the kicker back here Montgomery s Crampton bolt
four to fifty five remaining here in the first quarter,
and the Bulldogs answer back a twenty three yard touchdown

(34:27):
run by Jordan Waits, and that is Jordan's second touchdown
of the season, and he gives Opelaika the one point
lead here seven to six. A short kick by Reese Beasley,
and it's going to be filled to the twenty six
yard line and just ran out of bounds at around
the twenty seven yard line a Carver returned man. So
four point fifty two. The wolver Raines will be back
out and I think they'll say they got it from

(34:49):
their own twenty nine yard line. That's where they'll start
first and ten. And coach, they moved the ball pretty
effectively their last time out there, but there was a
big interception. This would be their four snap. They've only
run the ball twice. Then Swank picked off the Terrel
Russell pass and then know Palaika follow that up with

(35:12):
the pick six. So first time the offense from Carver's
been out here for a while. Four to fifty one
being inside hand off. Nowhere to go was bury the
running back as Amari Smiley brings it down for a
one yard loss back to the twenty eight yard line.
Does a great job by a maury, excellent him in
lightfoot in autree say a loss of one second down
in eleven. All right, look for the throw here we

(35:38):
back to the four men front, good seck it down
eleven trips to the left side, singer receiver right Russell
drops back, dumps it out of the backfield to Bury
the running back who's going to turn it up at
the thirty and pushed out of bounds at around the
thirty two yard line and a late flag comes in.
It was a four yard pickup with a flag on
the play and wondering if this may be a face

(35:59):
mask on Opelaika. We'll wait and see. White hat gets
the coming over to get the communication Devin Dixon on
the good stop there for Opalaikah, but to see what
the what the call was? He's pointing towards Carver, so

(36:20):
may have been a hole against the Wolverines. I think
it is. I guess Devin just got him by the
shoulder pads. We're about nine stories away from the action
here Crampton Bowl. We've got a great setup, but we
are a long way away, so that's gonna be a
that's twenty five yards in penalty so far. The Carver
boy Carver's is that fifteen Carver's coach Bobby Carr is

(36:42):
letting them have it down on the sidelines here, and
is that fifteen van or ten? It's going to be
back to the sixteen yard line. So Russell's gonna drop back, throws,
jumps out of screen, pass, got it to Norman. He's
going to be hit down shy of the twenty yard line.
Dined down at the ninth. That was a good stop
by Leland Bell on the far side of the field.

(37:04):
This is going to be third and a mile coming
up here for the Wolverines. Third and twenty two upcoming here,
and the balls at the nineteen yard line. All right,
big play here, third down, three point fifty four left
there er to one on third down conversion so far. Ope,
like a leading here in the first quarter seven to
six over the Wolverines. Five wide. Look here actually two

(37:24):
wide receivers either side here for the Wolverines. Russell drops back.
Flag thrown immediately, it's tipped and incomplete. Boy Vince Swank
almost had another interception, but a flag was thrown and
this maybe a procedure penalty. I think he blew it dead.
It's gonna be a five yard penalty against the Wolverine.
Somebody was in motion there on that offensive line. So

(37:50):
the other five yard penalty against the Wolverines. Let's sit
down for a four seasons Federal Credit Union sideline report.
MAC defense so far playing good.

Speaker 7 (37:57):
Yeah, they stepped it up right now, really really turn
it on, helping out their offense. We got Calan Yu
was down here where he's gonna take a little break
right now. They're just seeing how he is maybe a
little maybe got his bell rug a little bit, so
he's just he's down here with his dad down here
on the bench. But hey, fravorite spots right there. Like
you said, we were down with by doting early. We
came back and answered defense really turning on offense. Nice

(38:20):
drive there for the touchdown, and we're fixing to get
the ball back. Boys, all right, that penalty must have
been declined.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
So yeah, it will be fourth down and twenty from
the nineteen yard line and Carver will punt, Andrew Barnett
catches it. He's gonna run and he's gonna take off
and he's gonna be stop well short of the line
to gain. He was hit at the twenty five yard line. Boy,
you see coach Dad on the sideline shaking his head.
I don't know if that was a cold play. I

(38:46):
couldn't imagine it was. Brody Jones gets the stop on
the punter Andrew Barnett, and that's a turnover on downs
and Opelika will get the football at the Carver twenty five. Boy, Coach,
that was a wild playing there.

Speaker 3 (38:58):
He snapped that thing high and the punter kind of
panicked when he saw the guy rushing and he's tried
to run it.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
So hey win good shape now, Yes, indeed, opal likea
first and ten at the twenty five of Carver, and
you'd love to try to punch this thing in. And
as Mac mentioned, Calvin out of the game. It'll be
Jordan waits, but it'll play be play action to Jordan
and it passed to Blake Johnson who's got it at
the twenty yard line, and he crushed the guy down
to the twenty and down to the nineteen yard line

(39:26):
as he ran over Candarius Reynolds and that's going to
be a pickup of six yards. Will be second down
in four coming up here for the Bulldogs three oh
eight to play. First quarter, opal like a leading seven
to six, and the Bulldog's in business at the Carver
nineteen second down and four tailback remains Jordan Waits wide
out either side for the Bulldogs and Key gets the snap,

(39:50):
hands it back to Waits. Waits inside the third down
to the seventeen down to the sixteen yard line before
don Javian Brown on the stop navy yard three yard pickup.
It'll be third and one for of the Bulldogs and
hop alike a show and they're going to that I
formation with Blake Johnson the full back and Jordan Waits

(40:11):
remains the tailbag. Carver's got five down in the middle.
Key gets the snamp, the handoff goes to Johnson. He's
got the first down inside the ten. Johnson still on
his feet inside the five and he's finally brought down
they'll mark him down at the two yard line. First
in goal Bulldogs Camari Jackson on the stop and he
paid the price trying to bring down the big Johnson.

(40:32):
Good job. Two point fifteen left here in the first quarter.
Dogs knocking on the door, first and goal at the
Carver two. Again, I formation Johnson and Jordan waits the tailbag.
They'll give it to Johnson. Johnson inside the one, Johnson
spends his way into the end zone. Touchdown Bulldogs, Big
Blake in the end zone. But the Bulldog touched down,

(40:54):
and it's thirteen to six Opelika, and the clock's doped
with one fifty eight remaining here in the first quarter.
And here is the extra point attempt from Rhys Beasley
Brody Jones to hold. Efferson will snap down and the

(41:21):
kick is up and the kick is good. Bulldogs fourteen
Carver six, one fifty eight left in our first quarter.
You're listening to Bulldog football and that score and drive
power by open like a power services hometown people working
for you online at oplelakapower dot com and hold the
phones here. We got a flag on the play and
we'll see what this could be. Mac, what you got

(41:43):
for us? On this one.

Speaker 5 (41:44):
I'm thinking that the end rush way quick before the
ball was snapped, he.

Speaker 7 (41:48):
Looked million miles off side, So let's what they got,
all right, Yeah, that's it, so we'll be declined.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
So we're back after this time out open like a
fourteen Carver six. You're listening to Bulldog football on the kicker. Well,
after a mistake early in this game, the Dogs found
themselves down six to nothing, but fourteen unanswered for the
Bulldogs here at Crampton bowlo for like Elites, fourteen to

(42:15):
six with one at fifty eight remaining here in the
first quarter, and coach, after getting kind of punched in
the mouth early Opelika, responded nicely.

Speaker 3 (42:23):
Yeah, we've come back and run the ball at him.
We have fourteen snaps to their seven. Van that's the
kind of football game that we need to play. Let's
get in here and get another.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Three and out. All right, Reees Beasley has a teed
up and he's been kicking it away from these dangerous
return guys for Carver, and this time he will boot
it deep out of boy. They crept up and he
hit it over their head and it's actually got to
stop and it's got a stop of the two, and
the Carver return man's in trouble and he's brought down
of the four yard line. That was a running back

(42:54):
for Carver, that was Trevin Barry, and he thought it
was going to roll into the end zone and then
Swink was there to wrap him up. As that was
a great t shot by Reese and it just stuck
at the one and we had some good back spin
on that one, Coach McCracken, like your sandweedg yeah, I
know not my sand wedge played in a while, and

(43:15):
there he picked it up, and boy, he was in trouble.
He actually was in the end zone for a moment
there and just got out and he got it out
to just the three yard line. So that's where the
Wolverines will have to start here. We three need our
front to step up big here. Now, linebackers stop the run.
I think they'll run it on first down, all right,
two wide left, single receiver right. Russell's out of the

(43:37):
shot done. He will give it to the running back
Barry and trying to find the right side. And he
has slung down on the play by Tremaine Thomas. He
slung him down like a rag doll. Coach, Yes, sir,
that would he didn't he lost the yard, didn't he? He? Well,
he's they're going to mark him at the two, so
he lost one. Yeah, so it'll be second down and eleven,

(43:58):
one thirty left in this first quarter. I just thin
this is not where Carver wants to be. I don't
know when they're gonna risk throwing from their own end
zone maybe though, Well, they don't have much of a
punkin game either. No, they don't. Big play right here, Vaan,
I've got him back to up here. We rushing three.
I think they think the he gonna pay us two
wide outs to either side. Russell gets a shotgun snap
in trouble in his own end zone. Now he'll step

(44:20):
up and try to run, and he's meant and tackled
down with a beautiful tackle there by ty Hudson at
the six yard line. So he picked up four yards,
but ty Hudson was there to greet the quarterback Terrell Russell.
And it's third down and seven coming up for the Wolverine.
Big play, big, big, big, big, big play. Third down.
He seven Commas lightfoot off Tree and Smiley up front

(44:46):
trips left side singer receiver to the right side. The
quarterback Russell out of the shotgun. He drops back from
his own end zone, throws at his caught at the
eleven yard line, but well short of the first town
as he up with Anthony Rodgers, and it's going to
be fourth down. I couldn't imagine going forward here are
they going for it? I couldn't imagine I'm going forward

(45:09):
from their on eleven yard line. But they're keeping the
offense out fourth down, and this is not fourth and one.
This is fourth and three or fourth and two at
least line up. Let's go, guys. They're keeping the offense
out there. Trips right side, single receiver, left option, play
cornerback keeper. He's tackled at the eleven, the thirteen. He's
going to be short. He's short, well short. Tackled on

(45:31):
the thirteen by Tyler Moore, and the sticks are sitting
at the fourteen. He's gonna be short of the first down.
This is going to be a turnover on downs on
fourth down at the car for thirteen yard line. Boy,
the officials meeting, they may stretch this thing out, but boy,
it sure looks short. This is just a courtesy check.
I think, mag what do you think he's way short.

Speaker 5 (45:53):
He's like a half yard short.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
Yeah, I think so too. This is just I think,
just to give mat coach car feel a little better
about this one. Bud boy gambling from your own boy
thirteen yard line and they're going to bring the chains
out and measure this. But I don't think he's I
don't think he's got the line to gain. With three
seconds left on the clock here in the first quarter,

(46:17):
Opalaika looking like they may have the football of the
Carver thirteen yard line, he's not even to the thirteen. No, well,
I don't think so. Oh they stretched this thing nowt
that's going to be well short. He is well short.
First down, Bulldogs at the thirteen of Carver, three seconds remaining.
In boy, it has been some disastrous situational football here

(46:39):
for Carver. Boy. They must not have a punter. And
it starts with the punt where they went forward from
their own end zone, didn't get it, and they turn
around and go for it now and fourth down and
the Bulldogs are back at it at the Carver thirteen
and boy, coach, you want to punch it in right here?

Speaker 3 (46:54):
Yes, sir, waste no time, Big Blake Johnson's back in there.

Speaker 2 (46:59):
I see him. It'll be an empty backfield here for
Kolby Key. He'll send Jamari Miller in motion. It's a
speed sweep to Miller trying to find some running room.
Left side. Miller cuts it at the ten, trying to
find some running room and he's forced out of bounds
at around the six yard line. So a good pickup
of seven yards and that will wind the first quarter
to a close. Here Bulldogs fourteen Carver six here at

(47:22):
Crampton Bowl, and Bulldogs sitting at the six yard line
of Carver with a second down. When we come back.
You're listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker well
as we start the second quarter of playoff, like a
knocking on the door. Again here at the six yard

(47:42):
line of Carver here at Crampton Bowl, fourteen to six.
Bulldog's leading as we start the second quarter. And again Bulldogs,
I mean, this is Tommy Johnson in the backfield for
the Bulldogs, to the right of Koby Key. Man goes
in motion Jalen Washington. They'll give it to Johnson inside
the five and Tommy's down to the one yard line.

(48:05):
Good run there by Tommy Johnson and they'll mark him
down at the one yard line. That's a five yard
run there by Tommy Johnson, Rashad Walker all the stop.
They got one hurt and a player down for the
Wolverines at the one yard line. So this will be
first in gold Bulldogs at the one and when we

(48:25):
got a moment, we'll head down for a four seasons
Federal Credit Union sideline report. Mac McCracken, Boy, tell you
what it is, kind of like the hamster in the wheel.
Bulldogs just keep going tonight.

Speaker 5 (48:34):
You did it, Van, I'm proud of you.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
Hey.

Speaker 7 (48:36):
Yeah, And I was talking to Johnson. To me, I said,
you're ready for another belly here for a touchdown? So
he said yes, sir.

Speaker 2 (48:43):
So hopefully we're.

Speaker 5 (48:44):
Gonna see a little belly here, a power definitely, but definitely.

Speaker 7 (48:47):
A run here, hopefully another touchdown. And I did talk
with with Calvin. They're going to keep him out for
remaining of the game as precautionary, so just expect him
to miss the rest of this game and you know
he'll be.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
Back all right. Tommy Johnson is the running back here
for the Bulldogs first and goal. Jalen Washington the lone
wide receiver lined up wide to the right and Key
goes under center and it will be a hand off
to Tommy Johnson. And Johnson this time is stood up
right at the line of scrimmage. May have lost a
yard to the two, and there'll be second goal from

(49:20):
the two.

Speaker 3 (49:23):
I'm wondering Blake Johnson's in the game. They've run our
little belly play. It's the second down.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
Van Here will be second and goal from the two
here for Opelika. Here we go, here we go. So
Johnson back in the ball game. That's Blake Johnson and
Tommy Johnson here in the I formation from the two,
and there'll be a quick hand off to Blake Johnson
and Johnson lunches ahead. He's in there. Touchdown Bulldogs. Johnson
was hitt and boy just kept those feet moving and

(49:53):
he lunged into the end zone and got the ball
across the goal line there in Opela Cup, twenty to
six right now on Carver with ten fifty three remaining
here in the second quarter. Boy, what a great start
by Opal like a coach. It wasn't a great start
right out of the gate, but right after that, it's
an interception for a touchdown right Carver. It was totally
unanswered right now.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
How about our kickoff man kicking that ball all the
way down, Oh yeah and pinning them back.

Speaker 2 (50:18):
That was the That was huge. Yeah. It's been some
big special teams right now. The difference in this game,
that's for sure. With field position Reees Beasley for the
point after, and it's up and it is good and
that score and drive power by Opal like a power
services hometown people working for you online at oplelakapower dot com.
And there's a flag on the play again here on
the extra point. Shout out to Derek Streakman listing down

(50:45):
south tonight. All right, referee is going to sort this
one out. Let's see what this was bird ed and
getting the work in too? Is the ball boy tonight?
I guess they're slacking. Maybe it's a school night, so
we got them out. I don't know, okay, question that's

(51:08):
personal foul against Carver, so it's going to be assessed
on the point after. So ten fifty three remaining here
in the second quarterback after this time out, Dogs leading
twenty one to six. Bulldog football continues after this here
on the kicker back here at cramp to Bowl ten
fifty three left in the second quarter and that fifteen
yard penalty assessed on the kickoff. So the Bulldogs are

(51:28):
going to be kicking it off at the Carver forty
five yard line. And boy, special teams tonight has been
disastrous for Carver. Yeah, ris Ba's is gonna kick this
in the end zone. I think we'll see now they're
gonna do an on side kick, and boy, the Bulldogs
just got a bounce and the Bulldogs pounce on it
at the night at the right at the twenty eight

(51:50):
yard lite, I think opelikas, we got it, bully got it?

Speaker 5 (51:53):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (51:54):
Wow, Who was that Zion Henderson's kick? That thing? I
believe it was. Boy Race faked and Zion Henderson the punter,
got in there and kicked it. And an on side
kick goes the Bulldogs way and they're gonna have it
at the twenty nine a Carver.

Speaker 3 (52:08):
What Oh that's huge right there? Boys, that is what
a great call by Brian Moore.

Speaker 2 (52:14):
Well that was that was outstanding? Oh goodness all right,
so at the night, all right, at the twenty nine
yard line. Now the Bulldogs set up first and ten.
Now the offense will come right back out. Boy, against
a high powered offense. Coach, they can't do a lot
when they're on the sidelink. You're right, you're right. So

(52:35):
at the twenty nine yard line, Bulldogs have it first
and ten and Kobe Key back out to lead the offense.
First and ten man goes in motion. They'll take it
to Jamari and Kobe wants to take a shot throws
and it is hold in a call at the eight
yard line. What a grab by Blake Johnson. What a
grab by the big fullback down field and he's got

(52:57):
it down to the eight yard line for a twenty
one yard hookup. Koby boy put it right over to
the vendor and outstanding pass and a great catch there
by big Blake Johnson. How many yards you say? Twenty eight? Alright?
I wrote it down, coach, and then I raced them. Okay,
that's right, that's right down to the eight. First and

(53:18):
goal at the eight here for the Bulldogs. They'll hand
it to Tommy Johnson running right side behind a block
or Tommy inside the five, and he's tackled down at
the three yard line. Johnson here, that's going to be
a pickup of four yards. Don Javi and Brown on
the stop boy, this is going just like we wanted

(53:38):
to Now, this is just great. That's twenty snaps to
their eight. All right, first and goal down at the
three of Carver, Dogs leading twenty one to six and
trying to add to it. Here it comes to Belly
with nine forty five left in the first half, quick

(53:58):
hand off to Johnson. Johnson hit at the two, trying
to push the pile down inside the one, and he's
going to be right at the goal line and it
will be third down and goal coming up here for
the Bulldogs, right at the goal line.

Speaker 5 (54:12):
Learn him go.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
And think you get another dose of Blake Johnson here.
We'll see so, I think so they've had trouble stopping
that play, but Johnson's gonna line up now go run
it again. Johnson lines up wide to the left down
and it'll be an I formation with Slade Clayton in
a full back and Key gonna give it a light
hand off to Tommy Johnson and he's in the end
zone for the Bulldog touchdown. Bulldogs pouring it on Carver

(54:38):
with nine oh four left here in the second quarter
and Tommy Johnson in the end zone for his fourth
rushing touchdown. Of the season three yard touchdown. So Wakes
with a touchdown, Tommy Johnson with a touchdown, and Big
Blake Johnson also with a touchdown. So here's the point

(55:03):
after attempt from Reese Beasley. Hey, good stamp down and
then kick is up and it is good. That's score
and drive Power by open like a Power Services hometown
people working for you online at oplelaka power dot com.
Ople like a leading twenty eight to six over Carver
Montgomery here at Crampton Bowl, and we'll be right back

(55:24):
after this time out. You're listening to Bulldog football here
on the kicker by here Montgomery's Crampton Bowl, nine oh
four left in the first half, and Opal like, after
finding themselves down six nothing after a pick six by
Kamari Jackson, Bulldogs have put up twenty eight unanswered on

(55:47):
the Wolverines and they lead it twenty eight to six.
And here is Reese Beasley with a kick that'll go
near side and will be caught at the twenty four
yard line and out of bunds. Just shy at the
thirty yard line at the twenty was a return man
for the Wolverines twenty eight yard line. Rody Jones on

(56:09):
the stop for the Bulldogs there on that special team's place.
So we'll see Russell in this offense has been really
held in check by the Bulldogs tonight, and they'll start
first and ten from their on twenty eight yard line.

Speaker 3 (56:23):
Braden Stintson, Josh Davis, Monte Thomas, and Brandon Dinson. I
think he's playing the two's just a little bit to
start off right here.

Speaker 2 (56:31):
I know two left here in the first half and
everybody moved there. For the Carver team, that's five more
so that will back them up five yards.

Speaker 3 (56:40):
That's thirty five yards and penalties on Carver and we
have yet to have a penalty.

Speaker 5 (56:46):
Excellent.

Speaker 2 (56:56):
We don't need to let him have anything now, no
big plays, no nothing. Carver down from the twenty three
first and fifteen play action quarterback Russell wants to take
a deep shot down field and well covered. That was
good coverage on the back end there by Number four
Devin Dixon for the Bulldogs, stride for stride with the
intended wide receiver. Good job that was intended for TK.

(57:25):
Norman three is seven throwing right now. Second down in
fifteen coming up here for the Wolverines. Eight fifty five
clock stopped after that incomplete pass here in the second quarter,
got five rushing, got six, all right, play action. Russell

(57:45):
drops back another deep shot down field, and this time
it is hauled in and it is caught by Norman
down to the thirty one yard line. Big time throw,
big time catch, and Carver finally hits one for forty
six yards. Had a first down down of the thirty one.
So that's the first really big offensive play there for

(58:05):
Carver in quite some time. It is first intend out
of the OPAL like a thirty one yard line, eight
thirty nine clock. Starts back running three wide out and
left single receiver, right quarterback, thought about throwing steps up
runs and he's going to be stopped right at the
thirty one yard line. He may have picked up a
yard and that is it, and Malik Autrey was there

(58:27):
to greet him. And it will be second down and
nine coming up for the Wolverines at the OPAL likea
thirty one. They can't give the most big plays. That's
two big plays. They're going to take their shots, but
normal with some speed and got behind the defense trip's
left side and the play is stopped dead as a
timeout was taken by opalaika. So they coaching Stafford the

(58:50):
Bulldogs quickly calling time out. Mac, We're gonna head down
for a four seasons Federal Credit Union sideline report. Hey,
one big play so far for this Carver well, actually two,
the big pick SI, so that at offensive big play there,
that's right.

Speaker 7 (59:03):
You know, we keep talking about, you know, how we're
going to respond to adversity, and we've done that, you know,
because you know, the only touchdown was on that pick six.
But look how these guys are just feeding on each other,
just relying on each other. It's just wonderful to watch
these guys, jail Man. They're doing tremendously on the run game,
you know, pass game a little bit better, you know,
a little bit better right here.

Speaker 5 (59:21):
Defensively, they're just keeping them out of the end zone.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
I've had some questions also, Mac, about the about the
elderly ball boy tonight a bird Yes, is he's he
working solo tonight?

Speaker 5 (59:34):
No bird birds got him.

Speaker 2 (59:36):
Birds got him.

Speaker 5 (59:36):
Two with him right here, as I see.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
He's got some bird dogs.

Speaker 5 (59:39):
Yeah, he got some bird dogs.

Speaker 2 (59:41):
He's got two of them with him right now, all right, Yeah,
Caliberdad is the man in charge of the ball boys
and sometimes he had he gets thrown in the action,
but second out of nine out of the time. Al
Bulldogs trying to get things situated defensively. Here I got
a three man rush this time at the thirty one
yard lines. Second and nine for the Wolverines. Another option play,

(01:00:02):
they'll toss it out. This is Turbo Rogers getting the
left side line and he turns it up for a
first down and he's going to be out of bounds
at the sixteen yard line, so that is a pickup
of fifteen yards and that will be enough for a
Carver first down. And Anthony Turbo Rodgers is going to
play a lot of wide receiver by that time. He

(01:00:23):
slipped in there at the tailback spot and gets the
first down on We can't let up defensively like this
first down of the sixteen another option play. This time
it's Barry and he's going to be stopped right at
the line of scrimmage. Tried to work the right side
and it was a good stop by the Bulldogs. Norman
Matthews in the game making another big play for the

(01:00:45):
Bulldogs on defense. Second down in ten yeah, nose whe
the football is at the sixteen yard line. Of Carver
here from the near side. Bulldog's getting some substitutions in
I believe play action. Quarterback steps up in the pocket
and he's gonna be brought down at the twenty yard line.

(01:01:06):
Big sack there by the Bulldogs. And that was Amari Smiley.
Good job, good job d and there on that sack
for the Bulldogs. And it's gonna be third in long
coming up here for Carver at the twenty yard line
of Opalaikos. I got to get a great pass rush
right here now, big pay, big pay, four yard loss

(01:01:26):
that it'll be third and fourteen coming up here for
the Wolverines. Opal like the leading twenty eight to six
six p fifty four left here in our first half,
rushing three two wide out on either side. Rustle the
quarterback gets the snap pressure coming throws across the middle
and it is batted away nicely there by the Bulldogs.
And in coverage was Leland Bell ty Reese Pitts rather

(01:01:50):
in coverage here for the Bulldogs, and ty Resee was
there to get the hand in on that one. Yeah,
Carson Moss is coming from this end too. We rushed
three and then brought that fourth and rushed and that
was big. Here it is right here, phield goal tam
not coming in here for the Wolf rings at the
twenty yard line, rushing three again. It will be fourth
and fourteen, six forty three left in the first half.

(01:02:11):
Trips left singer receiver right, and they tried to get
the Bulldogs jump, and the Dogs got a head start
there on that defensive line, and we weren't able to
get back across. So that'll be five three yards against Carver.
Soing off sides, we'll get Carver down to the fifteen
to make this a much more manageable fourth down to

(01:02:33):
be fourth and nine. He's gonna throw it, Yeah, there's
no doubt about that. Yep. He's got four on front,
got the four to two two wides four two wides
to the right, single receiver left. Russell drops back, hands
it off, double hand off, and I throw back to
the quarterback and they throw to the end zone for
a wide open man Barry, And that was a kind

(01:02:58):
of a flea flicker back to the quarterback and they
got Barry opening the end zone for the touchdown and
carver first offensive score of the night. It comes with
six thirty five left in the first half. And Harver's
offense will stay on to go for two. So they'll

(01:03:29):
empty the backfield and the quarterback Russell they left go
back right throws in the back of the end zone
and it is caught I tk Norman and the two
point conversion is good. So Carver with fourteen on the board,
now well like a leading still twenty eight to fourteen,
with six thirty five to play here in this first half.
You're listening to bulldog football here on the kicker now,

(01:04:00):
the kickoff goes down inside the five yard line, Jalen
Washington with an ice spin move and Jalen hit the
sixteen yard line still on his feet, and Jalen finally
brought down around the eighteen yard line. Good return there
by Opelanka. Well, Jalen tried to bust out of there,
but a good job there by the Wolverines to keep
him in check. We still got six twenty five remaining

(01:04:20):
here in this first half. A lot of football still
to be played in Opala, like eleading twenty eight to fourteen.
But coach Carver needed a score there and they got one.
They converted a big fourth down along the way.

Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
We didn't play good defense at all then, it's that
last five minutes, last six minutes of the half. Van
we hadn't done well the last two ball games.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
Then all right, Opelika has had to shoffle some things
on the offensive line too, as Epperson's had to go
to center as Jackson Lee's little banged up and out
of the game. And do not expect him to return
six twenty five left and play action key and a
roll to the right side, steps up, throws back across
the middle of the field, and it is noted a
way and it was intended or intercepted rather that is

(01:05:02):
going to be picked off. It was intended for Quz Johnson,
but it was intercepted by the Wolverines at the forty
nine yard line. Dangerous throw back across the middle of
the field, and that gave the defense and Kamari Jackson
with his second interception. The first one was a pick six,
and he gets another big interception. And there's a flag
on the play though, and as an ineligible man downfield

(01:05:25):
against Opalaika, and that will be declined. It will be
Carver football at the Ophlaka forty nine. So back in
this game, man, and you certainly can with a score
here the Wolverines will be right back in it, there's
no doubt. Twenty eight to fourteen, and the wolver Raines
with a big interception at the Bulldog forty nine. So
this red hot offense back on the field here, got

(01:05:45):
to get to this quarterback. Now. The Wolverines first intent
at the Bulldog forty nine yard line. Russell out of
the shotgun, two wides left, single receiver right, and Russell
drops backs. Got all day. Now we'll be pressured and
steps up as gonna scramble and run gets the near
side and out of bounds across the forty and he's
out of the thirty eight yard line. That'll be eleven

(01:06:09):
yards enough for the first down down.

Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
We got to make some plays on defense now. They
just they chewing us up.

Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
Right now, though not enough for the first down. I
should say it will be second down in four, come
on down at the thirty eight yard line. Second down
in four, quick inside hand off and a good stop
there by court Ingram who comes in and brings down
the wide or the running back Trey Berry for no

(01:06:46):
gain on the play. It'll bring up third and four,
five point fifty two. The clock running here in the
second quarter, twenty eight to fourteen. Opeleaika with the lead.
But another interception here by the wolver and they've got
the football at the Opalaika thirty eight yard line and
got the four to one defense. Third and four here,

(01:07:07):
trips receivers to the left side, single receiver to the right,
and a flag and movement against the Wolverines. That's gonna
back them up five yards, so a five thirty one left.
It'll make this third down a third and nine. Come on, boys,
we've got to get a stop here. Now back to

(01:07:29):
the forty three yard line. Clyke starts back running five
twenty three. Hope Alikah will get the football to start
the second half. Carver now will bring everybody in tight
Rogers star wide receiver lined up with trips to the
left side, single receiver to the right side. Russell play
action drops back, pressure comes, he's hitting the backfield, escapes

(01:07:52):
the pressure, and he's gonna be brought down and sacked
back in the forty eight yard line. Finally getting there
was Braden Stinson who finally cleaned up the mess. Pressure
came from everywhere, and Braden Stenchon gets the sack. It'll
be fourth down and fourteen coming up here for the Wolverines,
and that Ifence is going to stay out on the field,
it looks like, Oh, I think he's gonna bring the

(01:08:13):
punting team in. Coach not gonna punt? Huh will punt?
So the punting team checks in the ball game and
Eve football comes out here for the punter. It almost
looked like a junior football.

Speaker 3 (01:08:28):
I just wonder who's gonna snap here. Looks like number
three might it might be a fake. We don't have
anybody back.

Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
Nothing would surprise this. Four to twenty left and the
punt is a high boot and it was a good one.
It's gonna hit down and I thought they hit it
at the ten yard line. I think they did. Now
they mark it down at the ten, so the Bulldogs
will have it at the ten yard line first and
ten for the Bulldogs. Head down for a four seasons

(01:08:57):
Federal Credit Union Sideline report MC mccrack and standing by.

Speaker 7 (01:09:00):
Yeah, guys, hold on, we gotta flag. I think that
I think Carver wasn't set when.

Speaker 5 (01:09:04):
They punted this.

Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
Okay, all right, well we'll wait to sort this out.
White hat comes over. Everybody talking, and that could be
a big penalty and back them up, and he was
it's a legal shift against the farm again. Make them
punt it again. I think coach Moore wants them to
punt it again. A lot of they've got to do

(01:09:26):
a lot on a punt, a lot of shifting, a
lot of snapping and get a good kickoff. And so
coach Moore is gonna move them back. So that'll be
a five yard penalty in the nose of the football. Now,
will be back at the forty seven yard line. Oh
if well, we're gonna yeah, yeah, We're gonna Sendja Maori

(01:09:47):
back now twenty eight to fourteen O for like a
leading four to ten remaining here in the second corner.
A penalty against Carver's punting team, and so they're gonna
have to punt it again here. Corey mcneans will punt

(01:10:09):
it away here for Carver. He stands at the thirty
four yard line again. Jamari Miller is back deep now
for the Bulldogs. So we'll see got a good snap
and does get a bit out of the wink and
it's gonna hit at the thirty yard line and it
will take a bit of a car yards. Got to
make ten yards off that. That's okay, close to ten.

(01:10:31):
I think they'll mark it down at the seventeen yard line,
so that's where the Bulldogs will take over here first
and ten. Let's get that sideline report from mac McCracken. Mac.

Speaker 7 (01:10:39):
Okay, so we got three fifty six here. Let's run
this clock down and get a good drive. We'll throw
a little pass, see if we can put up any
kind of points.

Speaker 5 (01:10:48):
Right here is big time for the Dogs.

Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
All right, back, I got some good news, Jackson Lee.
They said clear to go back in the game.

Speaker 7 (01:10:54):
So Javy, Javy rock and to roll them many. Let's
get some points here though, points before and a.

Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
Half absolutely, so jack back in at center. Bulldogs for
their own seventeen yard line. Koby hands the ball off
right side and stopped for a yard loss on the play.
Can Darius reyntols on the stop? That was Jordan Waits
on the carry for the Bulldogs. So it will be

(01:11:22):
second down and ten again, Opelaika from their own seventeen
yard line, you know, Opelika trying to run some clock here.
Bulldogs will get the football to start the second half
three twenty five and that clock continues to run. I
formation here for the Bulldogs play action. Key steps back,
throws a deep shot down field, trying to get it

(01:11:43):
to Jamari and overshot him at the forty five yard line.
That was well over the head of Jamari in good
coverage downfield, also too receiver by Carver, and that'll be
third and ten. It we'll stop the clock. Also with
three fifteen left here in this first half of play.

(01:12:03):
Coming up here a halftime brought to you by Gory's Furniture.
We'll have Jason Lee coming by talking about some playoff scenarios.
We'll run through some Thursday night stores, and i'll give
you the Friday night lineup of games. All that. Coming
up here at the half, Key brings a man in motion.
Now I'll give a little inside handoff toss play to
Big Blake Johnson, and he's across the twenty and Johnson's
still on his feet across the thirty. Somehow he stayed

(01:12:26):
up and he gets the Bulldog first down all the
way up to the thirty three yard line for a
sixteen yard run by Blake Johnson. Corey mcmean's on the
stop there for Carver, and boy, that's a huge Lambert
transfer in storage. First down Big Blake Johnson with a
huge run, big run back rossis not being denied. Good

(01:12:49):
job by the whole offense. Bulldogs are their on thirty
four yard line. Two wide outs to the right side
for Kobe Key, and they'll hand it to Jordan Waits.
Waite's got a good block on the outside. Waits cuts
it at the forty got another block first down across
the forty five and a flag comes in on the Bulldogs.
An offensive lineman down on the field too, back of
the thirty five yard line, and indication here this may

(01:13:12):
be against the offense, could be a hold.

Speaker 5 (01:13:17):
We'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:13:19):
White hat comes over and and your player, Big Darius
Whitlow banged up on the play, and he'll come out.
Offensive linemen have gotten beat up tonight. Yes, hey, you
had to see Jackson Lee back in the ball game
and he was out for a couple of series. Oh,
that's a yes, that's gonna be one of those illegal
hit below the waist wide coach, Well, that's why that

(01:13:43):
lineman was down on the play. I llegal hit below
the waist against Carver. So that is a fifteen yard
penalty and that's gonna march it all the way down
to the thirty seven yard line of Carver Carver thirty seven.
So now at the Carver thirty seven the Bulldog's set
up here with two thirty four remaining. Here in this

(01:14:05):
first town, Dogs leading twenty eight to fourteen, and with
the football at the Carver thirty seven key out of
the shotgun formation, Waits still remains the loan bag. No,
this is Tommy Johnson. Johnson gets the hand off in
Johnson's hit at the thirty six yard line and he
picked up one yard on the play before Rashid Walker,
the defensive tackle, gets the stuff. That clock will continue

(01:14:28):
to wind down two ten remaining, and of course, one
thing Opalaika does have with their disposal disposal is Rees
Beasley with a good leg that could get a field
goal up here as we wind under two minutes to go.
Here in the first half, Jordan Waits.

Speaker 3 (01:14:47):
David Miller, Eperson, Jackson, Lee, Carmel Torbritt.

Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
And Eric Mason wipe out either side. They'll hand the
ball off to Waits. Waits hit right at the line
of scrimmage. No gain on the play. It'll bring up
third down and Carver I believe ran in to burn
a time out. I think, oh, they did not keep
the clock running with one thirty to go. I thought

(01:15:12):
that coach Carr called a time out third and nine,
So third and nine at the thirty six could be
two down territory here if he can get close. Yep, yep,
Blake Johnson, it's the loan back for Opelaika trips receivers
to the left side, single receiver to the right, play
action for Key. He drops back, pressure, comes now, rolls right,

(01:15:34):
steps up and goes out of bounds at the around
the forty three yard line. Is gonna lose a big
chunk of yards there and unable to throw it away.
And on jav and Brown on the pressure there, on Colby,
Key and Alpol like I'm gonna have to punt it
away here with one oh three remaining, try to pin

(01:15:54):
the Wolverines back. D Well, you know, Colby's a little
gunshy right now. If they want a couple inter set,
and that's what I think. You'll have that conversation on
the sidelines and the coaches will be just throw that
one away, Buddy, gives us punter a little room. Zion
Henderson has been great. He stands at the forty three

(01:16:16):
yard line to await this snap from cam Raley, good
snap and Henderson nice. It's a nice booming into this one.
It hits at the ten and Opal like is gonna
down this inside the two. What a great job downfield,
And that was cam Raley the snapper who got down

(01:16:36):
there and down that kit. Coach McCracken, Yes, sir, outstanding
job there by cam Raley. We Carver's gonna have it
at the two. We got two timeouts left, right, we do.

Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
Well.

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
We stayed one time out on the board. That's two
we got we got. So you can put some pressure
on this Carver offense with them backed up here and
ten actually try to They're gonna try to throw it too.
They may stop the clock and Opelaka is gonna try
to get the football back. You would imagine. I don't
know Van where they're gonna try to throw it or not.
I think they're gonna try to run the clock out.

(01:17:12):
They are well, they have got everybody bunched in and
they just nudge it forward on a quarterback sneak and
they got a yard and coach more quickly comes in
and calls a time out. Here with forty something. They
let the clock keep running. They're gonna have to add
some time back on the clock. They finally got it
stopped with forty four seconds left, twenty eight to fourteen.

(01:17:33):
Again are scoring time out on the field. Take it
by the Bulldogs. With Carver backed up, we're back at
this time out. You're listen to Bulldog football here on
the kicker. Well back here at Montgomery's Crampton ball. Forty
eight seconds standing between Opelaika and halftime. Dogs leading twenty

(01:17:57):
eight to fourteen. Carver back with the football, second down
and eight Bulldogs with one time out. Carver just trying
to run this clock out. Boy, they look like they've
lost the football. Oh, they handed to Rogers and he's
got to play here a little tricker ration he can
move and he gets the sidelines here near side, trying
to outrace the defense, and he's gonna finally be forced
out of mounds at the thirty five yard line. Boy,

(01:18:19):
that one was a great call there by coach Bobby Carr.
As he looked like he was going down to the ground,
he just tossed it to Anthony Rodgers and he almost
broke that one for a touchdown. Tyler Moore made the
touchdown saving stop and with thirty four seconds left. Carver's
got the football now at the Opalaika thirty five yard line.
Now gonna just try to throw it in the end zone. Now, yeah,

(01:18:43):
that was a thirty five or should say sixty two
yard pickup. We've got to play hard right here now.
On thirty four seconds left, rushing three very out of
the shotgun. Four gets the snap, drops back, pressured still
in the pocket, and throws it away and well like

(01:19:04):
ty Hudson was getting held from behind, but stops the
clock with twenty seven seconds left. Second and ten, So
twenty seven seconds left clock stops second down to ten

(01:19:24):
Wolverines at the thirty five yard line of Opal Income.
A good play by Anthony Rodgers as the Wolverine set
up to possibly get out of this first half with
some points as a trail by fourteen twenty eight fourteen
second down and ten here is Russell drops back. Russell
takes a shot deep towards the end zone and it

(01:19:46):
is hauled in in it is caught touchdown channing Cargill
in the end zone. A well placed football by Terrell
Rogers and the Carver Wolverines tuning her down forty five
unders are back within one score here of Opalaika. With
twenty seconds left. Boy, they can show how dangerous they

(01:20:08):
are and how quickly this offense can put up some points.
They got athletes and everybody knows it. And Carver right
back in this football game. God a lineup to go
for two. Here Terrell Russell out of the shotgun, Bury
the running back to the right. Russell gets the snap,
rolls to the right, throws and it is caught at
the two point conversion is good. It is a six

(01:20:32):
point ball game here at Crampton Ball with twenty seconds left,
and we'll be right back after this time out. Opa
I got twenty eight Carver twenty two. You're listening to
Bulldog football here on the kicker by Carver instead of
running the clock out. In the second half, they get

(01:20:54):
a huge spark, big play by Anthony Rogers, a sixty
plus yard run and he's got Carver in business now
as Russell hooked up with car Gill in the end
zone for a Carver touchdown and the Wolverine two point
conversion good. And it's a six point ball game now.
Twenty eight, twenty two, And here's a squib kick to

(01:21:15):
the Bulldogs and he gets out of bounds at the
thirty seven yard line, and Opalaika will just have twenty
seconds left and coach Moore and this Bulldog team, we'll
get the football to start the second half right now,
just got to get in the locker room a group
right now that is really beat up and banged up
by shuffled around things on the offensive line. And of

(01:21:36):
course Calvin Hugley is out for the game, and that
procedure penalty with the kick out of bounds, and the
Bulldogs are gonna like to make Carver kick this one again.
Twenty seconds left here in this first half. Opelikah leading
now twenty eight to twenty two. That is sixteen unanswered points.

(01:22:04):
Now for Carver that we'll back the Wolverines back to
the thirty five yard line and kick this one again.
Coming to you for the Orthopedic Clinic broadcast booth here
I top Crampton Bowl and a roller coaster game. Right now,

(01:22:26):
we got a six point ball game, and there's another
squib kick and it will be caught by Brody Jones
Jones at the forty five and Jones just pushed out
of bounds at midfield. So now you're thinking maybe give
Reyes Beasley a shot for a field goal here is
the Bulldogs will haven't and actually the Carver forty nine
yard line, so we'll see if Bulldogs will elect to
maybe go for a run or a throw here one

(01:22:48):
time out remaining for the Bulldogs coach, what do you think?

Speaker 3 (01:22:51):
I think I got a chance to make about a
fifteen yard game and kick a field goal. Van, We
got seventeen seconds, so if you do it running out well,
they can get out of bounds and they just need
to make about.

Speaker 2 (01:23:07):
Twenty yards field goal will make it a two possession games.
So that certainly will be huge empty backfield here for
kolbe Key gets the snap, rolls to the right, throws
and it is taut. Jamari Miller's got it, tight ropes
the sidelines and he goes out of bounds at the
forty three yard line. Okay, so that'll be a pickup
of six yards and stops the clock with eleven seconds left,

(01:23:30):
so it'll be second down and four we need.

Speaker 3 (01:23:32):
To gain get us about another twelve thirteen yards and
I think we could be in field goal runs.

Speaker 2 (01:23:41):
Two whiteouts either side here for a Key, he brings
a man in motion. Key gets the snap rolls here
to the near side, turned steps, got to throw it
and he goes down. He's sacked and he missedime for
two to here for o palaika and the time will
run out and that will be the end of the
first quarter. And Carver jumping for joy as they headed

(01:24:04):
into the locker room with sixteen unanswered to close out
this first half. They were dead to rights, trailing twenty
eight to six. But they've storm back to make this
a six point ball game, twenty eight twenty two. And
Mac McCracken, let us know when you get coach Moore,
and we'll head down there as well. Catch up with
coach Moore heading into the locker room. Make I see
you all right, go ahead.

Speaker 7 (01:24:24):
Thanks a lot, coach Moore, even with the lead, A
lot of frustration on the sidelines right there. Subscribe your
first half and what you got to do to adjust
in the second half to.

Speaker 5 (01:24:31):
Get this victory.

Speaker 4 (01:24:32):
We'll not play like crap. I mean, that's a terrible
half of football. We have two turnovers on offense. I
use a time out down here and they go ninety
nine yards. I guess I can't do that when we're
backed up. I'll take that one. But ridiculous right there.
We're up twenty eight to six. We gave them the
touchdown they had and then they threw the ball over
our heads and scored and then they've gotten going.

Speaker 2 (01:24:51):
This is what happens, right We talked about it every
ball game.

Speaker 4 (01:24:53):
How do we continue to keep our foot down, you know,
and continue to press. We're not doing that right now,
and I've got to go figure out why that is
he is and I'm.

Speaker 5 (01:25:00):
About to do that at house. It goes. Let's go
dressing dog guys.

Speaker 2 (01:25:03):
All right, Thanks so much, Mike McCracken with a visit
there at the half with coach Brian Moore. Twenty eight
twenty two. Our halftime score here for Montgomery's Crampton bolt.
We'll come back. We'll have the Spirit of the South
Barchie Man performing at the half and Jason Lee alongside
with our halftime which was presented by Gory's Furniture. Back
after this time out, you're listening to Bulldog football here
on the kicker. Both teams back out starting to stretch

(01:25:32):
out as we get ready for the second half. Appreciate
Jason Lee and our halftime show. It's presented each week
by Gory's furniture. Gory's Furniture Express locally owned and operated
by Jim and Pam Gorey. If you need furniture, Gory's
Furniture Express is your furniture headquarters located off Highway one
point sixty nine in Opelaika. See if we can get
down and catch up with Matt McCracken and see what

(01:25:53):
the message was to the guys in the locker room.
Mac coming van, Yeah, I got you check.

Speaker 5 (01:26:02):
All right. There we go kind of up and downs.

Speaker 6 (01:26:04):
Uh No.

Speaker 7 (01:26:05):
Coach Ward just had a closed door conversation with his boys,
just just privately between him and him, and then when
about five six minutes came back out just individually met
with their coaches. Everybody was evinly calm here they talked
over what they needed to do. It's just like Coach
Wore said, this is something that's been frustrating through through

(01:26:27):
the year, is just you know, we get going off
to a fast start, you know, battles some adversity on
that interception, and then you know, we get the thing
clicking and then we kind of.

Speaker 5 (01:26:37):
Go complace it and we get up some big plays.

Speaker 7 (01:26:39):
And he's just trying to let them believe that they
can erase that and not to let him get to
that point. But they he definitely wants to see him
to come out of here, you know, Tom, you know
either even we're trailing by seven, he needs to see
a lot of fire.

Speaker 5 (01:26:50):
We're getting the ball back first. Coach J. D Atkins.
I stood right behind him just a little while ago
while he was dressed. He said, Hey, guys, we're running
the ball good.

Speaker 7 (01:26:58):
We're gonna turn up more and more to be able
to run the football, control the lot of the scrimmage offensively.
I know which are capable of. Let's do our job. Okay,
let's not give it all to the defense.

Speaker 5 (01:27:08):
So just look for the dogs. Just come out.

Speaker 7 (01:27:09):
Hey, that's a super talented team over there with Carver coach.
Coach Moore talked about that Vay and Riggs with you
during his show, and we know how you know how
loaded they are. But look, just play Opleka football. We
got to come out here the second half and play
these last two quarters great.

Speaker 5 (01:27:25):
Gotta play great football here. So you know, just sit
back and let's see how we do boys.

Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
All right, Thanks so much, Matt McCracken with our four
seasons Federal Credit Union shideline report and a reminder that
we're coming to you for the Orthopedic Clinic broadcast booth.
Orthopedic Clinic as East Alabama's go to center for orthopedic
care with two great locations, one in Auburn and one
in opel Aika. To serve you, coach, it's really important.
I think the drive of the game were coming up

(01:27:50):
here for this opal Aka Bulldog offense to come down,
march the field, try to control some of this clock,
get the game back on their terms and on ople
Aka really coach defensively, Carver was able to really do
some things to put open like in some uncomfortable positions
and that's throwing the football on third down and having
to having to continue to come up with a third

(01:28:10):
and long play and you know, you go back and
Blake Johnson had a huge third down conversion on the run.
They kept one drive going there. This is senior This
is senior night too for this Carver team and their
backs were against the wall trailing twenty eight to six,
and you got to give a lot of credit to
them and boy coach field position wise, they pretty much
gave Opalaika two touchdowns putting the football on their end

(01:28:31):
of the field on a punt where they went forward
from their end zone didn't get it. And then a
fourth down play for their own thirteen yard line which
ended up being a turnover on downs, and they battled
through all of that to have it a six point
game right now with Openlaca leading twenty eight to twenty two.

Speaker 3 (01:28:44):
All right, listen, the thing is, the last six minutes
of the half we did not We played awful offensively
and defensively. Now here we go the first five minutes
of the third quarter. We're gonna see what kind of
men we got and how they're going to react to
this twenty eight to twenty two lead that they have.

(01:29:06):
So we'll just see what happens. Hey, I'm I think
we can do it. I hope these kids know they
can do it.

Speaker 2 (01:29:13):
All right, So Carver will have it teed up. They'll
kick from right to left as we get ready to
open up the second half again, Opeka leading by six,
twenty eight to twenty two. It almost feels like the
dogs are down in this game, but still with a
six point lead the way Carver finished that first half
of play, and that will be a line drive kick
and it's going to hit and roll all the way
into the end zone for a touchback. So a good

(01:29:34):
kick there by Carver went by the return man for
the Bulldogs, and Opelika will start first and ten from
their own twenty yard line, and we'll see who Opelikah
leans on in the running game. Here is Calvin Hugley
out for the game. We have been told there's been

(01:29:55):
a several players beat up, banged up. Some have come out,
some have come back in Jackson Lee back out to
start at center, one of those guys on the offensive
line that's been a bit beat up. Dogs will go
empty backfield here, two wide receivers either side. Here, kolbe
Key out of the shotgun. They'll bring a man in motion.
They'll throw it to Jamari Miller who wants to throw
deep shot and it is tipped and nearly intercepted. All

(01:30:18):
most picked off there by Carver. They tried to get
it to Jalen Washington on a throwback and one that
Jamari probably should have just hung on to and Javaiski Barnes.
Now all those came up with the interception number zero
there for the Wolverines. A break there by Opalaika.

Speaker 3 (01:30:36):
That was a little slow developing and their safety over
there got back and almost picked the ball off.

Speaker 2 (01:30:44):
So the Dogs will go with a running back to
the right of Kobe Key here on this second down
to ten play Dogs in their own twenty yard line.
They'll fake it to Jordan Waite's Kobe Key's gonna run
and slips a tackle for the moment, it's going to
be brought down to the twenty five yard line. Much there,
five yards A little like a lot of green grass
ahead for Key, but unable to shake the defender. Can

(01:31:05):
Darius Rentals on the stop? Now, big play here, need
to convert this third down. So a third and five
coming up here, four of the Bulldogs. It'll be from
their own twenty five yard line. Dogs leading twenty eight
to twenty two. As we're just underway here in the
second half, trips receivers left side for kolbe Key out
of the shotgun. Jordan Waits empties the backfield. They'll throw
it to Waits and Waits spins around at the thirty

(01:31:28):
got the first down up to the thirty two yard line.
Some shifty running and nifty run in the air by
Jordan Waits and he picks up the first down up
to the thirty two yard line for seven yards and
a first down, and another player banged up on the
field here. I think this is Jordan Waits, who's coming
off a little slow for the opal like of Bulldog's
as Tommy Johnson comes in, Boyd, that's we're down to

(01:31:50):
our third tail bat now, Yeah, getting thin in the
running back room. Eleven oh two. The clock continues to
run here in the third quarter of one wide out
into the left side loan back is Johnson, man in motion.
They'll give it to Tommy Johnson left side and Johnson
up close to the thirty four yard line pick up

(01:32:11):
a close to two yards. Rashad Walker in on the
stop for the Wolverines. Ten thirty nine clock running here
in the third quarter picks up to you on second
down at eight second and eight Here for the Bulldogs,
trips to the right side, key out of the shotgun,

(01:32:32):
Johnson alan back to the left. That's Tommy Johnson, Blake
Johnson lined up in the h back position. Now he'll
move in motion from left to right. Second down play
handoff goes to Tommy Johnson. Hit the whole nice spin
move as he carries it up close to the thirty
seven yard line. It's gonna be close to three yards

(01:32:52):
and we'll set up a third and five again here
for the Bulldogs. Five and a half yep, Savan Nelson,
So third and five. That was actually Jalen Nelson who
checked in the ball games down five nine fifty o'clock
running here in the third twenty eight to twenty two
Opaka leading by six key drops back on third down

(01:33:16):
throws and it is called Jalen Nelson's got it out
of the backfield and Nelson's across the forty five up
to the forty six yard line for elaborate transfer in storage.
First down nine yards on the throw and catch to
Jalen Nelson out of the backfield and Corey mcmeans on
the stop for the Wolverines. He's the fastest guy on
our team, man, Jalen Nelson death grader. So first down

(01:33:39):
Bulldogs with they're on forty six yard line. Kee gets
the stamp and the hand off is to Nelson. Nelson
hitting the backfield but stays on his feet and Jalen
pushing the pile up close to the forty. They'll mark
him down at the forty nine yard line, and he
got three yards on the ground. Seck it down and
who's up seven coming up? Good little drive going for

(01:34:00):
a placa right now. Defensive end don Javian Brown on
the stop for the Wolverines. Nine fourteen clock running second
and seven for the Bulldogs. Nice little drive here, Dogs,
they're on forty nine yard line. Slate Clayton in the ballgame,

(01:34:24):
snap hand off again. This is Jalen Nelson left side.
Nelson across midfield and he's down to the car for
forty nine yard line. Just two yards on the play
and to be third and another five, third and five again.
This is our third straight third and five. Fine good
series there for Jalen Nelson. Now Tommy Johnson will check

(01:34:45):
in the ballgame. So wait's banged up. Getting ten to
two on the sidelines. We understand I formation here, Blake
Johnson is the full bag. Joe Rody Jones goes in
motion for midfield. A quick handof to Blake Johnson at
that time they cut him down. No gain on the
play at the forty nine yard line. Don't care, can't

(01:35:08):
tackle the big fellow high that did a good job
taking his legs out from under him there and that
will be no gain. On the play fourth and five,
and here comes the punting team in for the four
of the Bulldogs here with eight oh three and the
clock running.

Speaker 3 (01:35:22):
All right, we chewed up eight minutes seven minutes, but
we didn't score it.

Speaker 2 (01:35:26):
We hadn't no points. Let's see if we can play
some defense. So Zion Henderson gets the snap. Henderson rolls
to his right, looks like he wants to fake it,
throw it up in the air on his temps, and
it is caught by Carver at the thirty nine yard line. Boy,
that was defended very well. As the Bulldogs try to
fake it and Carver comes up with the interception, but

(01:35:48):
the officials stopped the play here, I'm not sure. While
the white hat comes over and is talking to another official,
the Carver coaching staff hands up in the air, wanting
to know what the explanation is here Bulldog punt team

(01:36:10):
staying on the field here? How was this? Too many
men on the field. I'm not sure mac any explanation
with the sideline there.

Speaker 5 (01:36:20):
I'm just waiting with coach Moore kind of like we're
just dumbfounded.

Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
All right, Well, we'll wait both officials.

Speaker 3 (01:36:26):
Officials, it could be interference on the defense. It could
be too many men on the field.

Speaker 2 (01:36:31):
I don't know. Well, now they're coming over and at
the taunt of the Carver coaching staff, they're talking to
coach car big play in the game here as the Dogs. Well,
looks like Carver's side is happy with whatever the results were.
No big argument here from coach car It doesn't look
like or they just signaled open like a first down. Really,

(01:37:00):
So that was a five yard penalty against Carver. Oh my,
so that was a first down care penalty against Carver.
That is huge, right, That gives Opalaika first down. Wow
at the forty four Now after that five yard penalty, Wow,
So that in the gates. Boy, that's a big break

(01:37:22):
right there. High formation here for the Bulldogs. Nobody why
at either side. Tommy Johnson is the running back, but
it'll go to Blake Johnson as he carries it down
to the forty yard line for four yards. At four yards,
there you go, Johnson carrier picks four yard. I think J. D.

(01:37:44):
Atkins is trying to just move this ball on the ground.
That was too many men actually on the field, coach,
was the explanation on that play. High formation again here
second out and six after that four yard run by
Blake Johnson, Bulldogs at the forty of Carver. So what
a hue? Which play that was? With too many men
on the field, snap handoff goes to Johnson, Johnson runs right,

(01:38:06):
and Johnson inside the thirty five down to the car
for thirty four yard line for six yards on the
play most of the first down six forty and the
clock continues to run. Heed's a yard for the first
and they're saying first down. That's a Lambert transfer stewarts
first down down to the thirty four yard line, so
that will move the chains. I think coach Moore is
talking to his staff down there on the field. He's

(01:38:28):
wanting to run this clock. Twenty eight to twenty two.
Dogs lead by six here in the third quarter, six
twenty five. Clock continues to run another I formation, another
quick hand off to Blake Johnson left side. Johnson broke
it inside the fifteen Johnson inside the ten five touchdown
Bullogs Blake Johnson. I hope that's a cramp as he

(01:38:48):
went back to grab his hamstring as he went into
the end zone, and hopefully that's all that was six
fourteen remaining here in the third quarter. That was behind Jackson.

Speaker 3 (01:38:59):
Lee Kylin up presenting David Miller ran at Philly with
big Johnson.

Speaker 2 (01:39:04):
And certainly hope Blake is okay. He went to grab
that right hamstring as he got into the end zone
and hopefully all that was was maybe the old krimp.
Thirty four to twenty two. Here's the point after attempt
coming here by Reese Beasley. A big thirty four yard
touchdown run by Blake Johnson, good snap place down and

(01:39:27):
the kick is up and the kick is good by
Reese Beasley. Heck of a score and drive power by
our friends at open like a Power Services hometown people
working for you online at oplelaka power dot com. Thirteen
point lead now for the Bulldogs thirty five twenty two
over Carver six fourteen to go here in the third
quarter or back after this thirty second time out here
on the kicker, well, a big time drive there for

(01:39:56):
the Bulldog's nearly half the clock here in the third quarter,
opalaika up there, six fourteen remaining a short kick and
it will go out of bounds at the twenty seven
yard line. So a tough break there on special teams
is I think Reese was trying to hang that one
up in the air and it just got the sideline.
So thirty five twenty two, let's head down for a

(01:40:17):
four seasons Federal Credit Union sideline report. Mac McCracken standing by.

Speaker 7 (01:40:21):
Yeah, look that too many men on the field right there,
blessed Opalaika, and just a great job by a long
sustained drive right there by Opal like ate up some
time and got into the end zone for for six.

Speaker 5 (01:40:33):
So that's that's a great job for the offense.

Speaker 7 (01:40:36):
Defensively, I'm gonna make a stop right here.

Speaker 2 (01:40:38):
They don't think hm rekick Mac, Yeah, well we got that.

Speaker 7 (01:40:41):
That'll be good if we can put him over here
on the deep instead of getting the kicking out of
bounds again.

Speaker 5 (01:40:45):
So but yeah, hey, let's step up defensively.

Speaker 2 (01:40:47):
All five yards on us van all right, thank you, mack.
So that will back it up to the thirty five
yard line, and we'll see Reese see if he can
get a better kick here went out of bounds. Watch
it down. Let's make this. Let's make them make them
wish they didn't make us. Rekick it here, short kick again,
left side of the field and it will bounce down field.

(01:41:10):
It at the thirty eight yard line. I don't think
they got much out of that at all. So six
twelve remaining, So Blake Johnson Okay, good injury update there
on the sidelines. Six twelve remaining here in the third quarter,
thirty five twenty two Opelaika with the thirteen point lead.

(01:41:31):
Coming to you from the Orthopedic Clinic Broadcast booth, East
Alabama's go to center for orthopedic care here on this
Thursday night high school football game, a historic Crampton Bowl.
There's this dangerous offense back out all right. We got
J T. TJ. Thomas, Lightfoot, Artree Smiley up front, So
be Carver from their own thirty seven yard line, two

(01:41:53):
wide left singer receiver to the right side. They'll play
action quick throw. Nearly intercepted. That was behind Anthony Rodgers
at four star that had the big play to in
the half. Carson Moss was defending on that one. Coach
boy Ty Hudson almost intercepted that for a touchdown. Gee
wiz dang. Okay Carver with a pick six. It'd be

(01:42:14):
nice for the Dogs to get one here. Stretch this
game out as we have seen. O Leite is comfortable here.
Crampton Bowl tonight, got the four man rush two wide,
lifts a single receiver to the right side. Russell gets
the snap, drops back, dumps it way near side here
to Rogers, and he cuts the sidelines across midfield. There's

(01:42:36):
a flag down on the play. This one should come back,
and he's pushed out of bounds inside the five down
at around the three yard line of that flag around midfield.
And that's gonna bring this one back. It should Andy
Is it's a holding penalty. Coach Carver, our coach car
losing his mind and he just got a flag. Good, good,

(01:42:59):
that's thirty yards.

Speaker 3 (01:43:00):
That's to be twenty five yards fifteen and ten, it's
twenty five got to be calm, coach.

Speaker 2 (01:43:07):
Yeah, that will be a devastating penalty, just twenty five
yard penalty. We don't have the benefit of replay, so
I can't see. I was watching number two and missed
the whole But now sort it out of midfield here,
much to the dismay of coach Bobby Carr here on

(01:43:30):
the side of Carver. So a hold against the Wolverines.
We'll see what the second one was, and it's going
to be an unsportsmanlike conduct against Carver.

Speaker 3 (01:43:40):
So coach twenty five yards. See, you gotta stay calm van.

Speaker 2 (01:43:47):
There was a big penalty there was, and adding insult
to injury there with that penalty after the play. So
this is second down? Is that right? Yeah? Back to
the twenty five yard line. It'll be second down and
third air long here, yes, second in twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (01:44:09):
Actually, we've got to get a good gotta pressure this quarterback.
Don't let him throw the ball down the field. We
had to make a play.

Speaker 2 (01:44:17):
Boys, come on, seg it down to twenty eight for
the Wolverines from their own twenty five yard line after
a hold in and then sportsmen like against the coach.
I think coach More questioned the spot. Maybe he's over

(01:44:37):
talking to the side judge who's coming over to top
to the water. I think he's I think he's right.
The ball should be a twenty five yard step off,
So second down in twenty eight and they will keep

(01:44:57):
the ball for their own twenty five yard line. Wolverine
quarterback Russell gets a stamp, drops back, got in time,
throws far side of the field, climbing the ladder and
caught and spun out of bounds at around the forty
four yard line. Boy, just a huge reception there, nineteen
yards on the throw and catch. Actually they'll market to
the forty two, so seventeen yards third and long, and

(01:45:24):
it's third and five now for the Wolverines for their
own forty three yard line. Russell two wide left singer receiver,
right loan back is tray Berry Harbor, trying to keep
this drive going as a wind down the five twelve
remaining here in the third quarter play action, they'll throw
and it is caught at midfield. Made a man miss

(01:45:46):
at the forty and still on his feet at the
thirty five, breaking tackles at the twenty five and down
to the twenty four yard line is T. K Norman.
Thirty three yard pick up in a first down for
of the Wolverines, court ingram on the stole two wide

(01:46:07):
rights singer receiver left first down to the Bulldog twenty
three quick throw, it is knocked away. Nice play there
by Opolaika in the second aary. That was Keevian King
who broke that one up. And good job defense number
two number eight ten for Carver. This TK Norman who's
caught a company that's caught that last one. He is
a three star and he's committed to play at Texas

(01:46:28):
A and M. So I guess pretty good athletes.

Speaker 3 (01:46:31):
Yeah, they're making too many big plays on us. Now,
that's three big plays come on defense.

Speaker 2 (01:46:37):
At the twenty four yard line at second and ten
for Carver two wide right singer receiver to the left side.
Russell gets the stamp play action again in a whistle
stops this one. I believe maybe a time out. I
didn't see a flag. Oh there is a flag. That's
five yards on them. Oh no, but it's just off

(01:46:59):
sides against all sides goll Leaf. Yeah, so I missed
the call. I guess it was off sides against Opalaika
and then we'll mark it down to the nineteen yard line.
So a five yard penalty against Opelaka. Four forty four
in the clock running here in the third quarter, they're

(01:47:20):
probably gonna run it here. I don't know. They han'
ran it much. Russell not gonna run. He drops back,
takes a shot into the end zone, and the overshot
is intended wide receiver which again tried to get to
Norman court Ingram was in coverage in the back of
the end zone. No chance for that one. SIN will
be third and five. They run it here, we'll see

(01:47:41):
definitely four down territory again. There's no there's not much
pain in kicking. They hadn't run the ball yet. They
had five snaps all passes, clockstout with four thirty two left,
thirty five twenty two, Dogs leading by thirteen. Here in
the third quarter, somebody needs to come up pig for us. Yeah,
need to turn over here, trips to the right, sing
receiver to the left side, Russell out of the shotgun,

(01:48:03):
wants to pass throws and it is picked off there.
It is Keevan King fifteen twenty twenty five thirty and
he's out of bounds, nose days inbounds and finally brought
down to the forty three yard line. Needed an interception.
Thanks for listening, Keevy and King. Big pickoff for the
Dogs and that is Kivian's That is his fourth interception
of the season. First Donal' block un and that a

(01:48:26):
huge play was what the Dogs needed. What the forty
one yard line is where Kievian brings that one back
up to and the Bulldogs with good field position from
their own forty one with four to twenty three left,
our need here in the third have a good drive
here in that Vaum Dogs leading by thirteen thirty five
twenty two, and Key out of the shotgun, and we'll

(01:48:52):
see who's in the backfield for the Bulldogs. It will
be Tommy Johnson, a wide out either side here for
Opelaiko Dogs for there on forty one. Key gets the
snap hands and wants to go reverse, and boy Carver
was all over that one in the backfield, swarming back
there to stop the Dogs back at the thirty three
yard line. That's going to be a huge loss. Fitzgerald

(01:49:14):
stintsy in there in the backfield on that one little yard. Oh,
that's an eight yard loss. Second out in eighteen shoot
back to the thirty three yard line line of scrimmage

(01:49:36):
here on second and eighteen. Clyde continuing to run three
forty six, remaining two white outs to the right side,
waits back in there at tail bag, caught by Miller
here near side. Miller trying to get a block, got
one at the thirty five and a flag comes in
from the back judge, and we'll see I didn't see am,

(01:49:57):
I didn't see the hole down here on the near city.
I think it is unless it's a face mask. Now
I don't think it was a face mask. We'll wait
and see, or the Carver side was frustrated or yet
to get a signal from the white hat. And it
is a block in the back against Opalaika. So the

(01:50:19):
Dogs going in the wrong direction here on this drive
with three thirty six after that interception by Kiev and King,
seck it down and long here for the Bulldogs for
their own twenty six yard line. They set it down
and seck it down to twenty five. Dogs bring a

(01:50:46):
man in motion from under center. Key hands the ball
off to Blake Johnson. Johnson left side up to the
thirty five yard line, close to nine yards. A good
positive run there by Blake Johnson Tamari Jackson on stop
for Carver. Going to be a third and lawn though
coming up here for the Bulldogs as they lead thirty
five twenty two. But so negative plays on this drive

(01:51:07):
as really just let that clock run. You're out of
three ten. It's a two possession game, thirteen point lead
here for Opelika thirty five twenty two, three to oh
three remaining here in this third quarter four wide for Opelika.
The left single receiver right empty backfield though throw it
out to Jamari trying to set up a screen Jamorrow

(01:51:28):
at the forty Jamari stayed on his feet. Another flyg
comes in at the forty two yard line, so we'll
see this is again May go against Opelaika here. It's
blocking out there on the far side of the field.
Noah May on the stop for Carver and the white
hat comes in and it is a hold again against

(01:51:50):
Opelaika holding against So again the Dogs will replay third down.
I would imagine are they one and they're going to
decline it probably make it fourth there on. Yeah, it
is declined. It will be fourth down, so the Bulldogs
will have to roll the punting team in here on
fourth down and have to get it back to this
high power Carver offense. Dogs got a big interception last

(01:52:12):
time out keep and King with Opelika unable to cash
it in they started at the forty one. They'll punt
it from the forty two and we don't have the
punter out there. They do not. Maybe Opelika try to
draw them off here well as Ian Henderson is in
there and a time out taken by Opalaika, So Dogs

(01:52:38):
will spend a time out trying to do a little
tricker ration on fourth down and with two fifty one
left in the third, Carver set to get the football back.
We're back after this time out. You're listening to Bulldog
football here on the kicker W and KKR Auburn opal
Aikah is League County's best country ninety seven point seven
kicker FN and iHeart Country station. Fourth down for the

(01:53:07):
Bulldogs having a pun and away dogs. So there on
a forty two yard line and back deep for the
Wolverines is a dangerous return man, I believe is that
Rogers back deep, No Wallace back deep, and he's gonna
call off the Dogs. It's going to take a good,
nice role there by. The punter has been great off season,

(01:53:31):
Zion Henderson, and he gets that all the way down
to the ten yard line and that will be a
forty eight yard punt. All right, this is a crucial
time in the game right here, Van, I need to
stop here.

Speaker 3 (01:53:44):
Got a thirteen point lead, got him backed up on.

Speaker 2 (01:53:47):
The ten yard line. We need to get a stop.
You're absolutely right.

Speaker 3 (01:53:53):
All three lightfoot, Thomas, Smiley, Ingram, Hudson, More Dixon, Moss
Pits and King.

Speaker 2 (01:54:01):
Let's go to work. Two thirty eight left here in
the third quarter, and they'll be first and ten Wolverines
for their own ten yard line. Two wide outs to
the left side, a single receiver to the right side.
Donks lead at thirty five twenty two, thirteen point lead.
Late third quarter, play action quick strike caught at the
twenty five, cross the thirty and finally brought down and

(01:54:23):
around the thirty two yard line, stopped by Leland Bell
inside on us like that now, quick strike trow complete, Yeah, man,
I mean right to twenty three yard pickup and a
first down for the Wolverines. Come on, guys, we got
to make a play. Two wide right singer receiver left

(01:54:44):
Russell out of the shotgun, quick handoff Inshine, there's a
good run across the forty still on his feet at
the forty five and dragging a defender. Finally brought down
as Ty Hudson comes in. Leland Bell was there first,
and then Stenson and Hudson got there up to the
forty seven yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:55:01):
Though that's about a seventeen yard game, wasn't it fourteen?

Speaker 2 (01:55:10):
So up to the forty seven yard line, first and
ten Wolverines again moving the football with ease, here three
wide right singer receiver to the left side. Russell option
play tosses it to Johnson Richardson brother a Rogers, and
Rogers still on his feet and there's two flags down though,
as he broke about five tackles and stayed on his
feet and finally got brought down to the twenty five
yard line. But this one looks like it will be

(01:55:33):
coming back. Coach. He is a four star Alabama commit,
and we see right now why he's got such a
big ranking. Is it holding? Well, we have yet to see.
White Hat has yet to say it's a sideline warning

(01:55:54):
against Carver, but it is a hold, I guess in
the run five.

Speaker 3 (01:56:00):
Yard penalty from the five yard penalty.

Speaker 2 (01:56:04):
Well, I guess it was a five yard penalty on
a sideline warning. Must have been their second one, yeah,
I guess. So it's first and thirteen, so Carver will
have it from their own forty five yard line. First
and ten our first and twelve brother throwing these quick
passes on US two wide to the left side singer

(01:56:25):
receiver right one eighteen left here in the third quarter,
come on, got to make a mistake here. See if
the Bulldogs had come up with another big interception. They'll
stay on the ground game though with Barry, he cuts
it left side. He's got a lot of runner across
the forty five across the forty and he's forced out
of bounds at the thirty three yard line. The car
another big game close to twenty two yards thereby Barry

(01:56:49):
for the first down run for the Wolverines. Devin Dixon
forced him out of bounds.

Speaker 3 (01:56:53):
Boy, hey, we got that. They're making these big chunks
of yard to join us. Now, come on, guys, So.

Speaker 2 (01:57:01):
Down to the thirty three yard line, first and ten
again here for Carver. One oh five left here in
the third quarter. Russell gets the snap again, ground game
Berry and this time he stood up at the line
of script that just Ty Hudson comes in there and
makes the stop and they'll say Ford progress down to
the thirty two. So he picked up a yard. It'll
be second down and nine. Not sure how he picked

(01:57:23):
up a yard there. Forty six seconds and the clock
running here in the third quarter is OpenAL like the
Leeds by thirteen thirty five, twenty two and under forty
seconds left. Now in the third quarter, we've got to
make a play. Van somebody's got to make a play.
Trips to the right side, single receiver, left side Russell
out of the shotgun and play action. Russell rolls right,

(01:57:45):
dumps it out of the backfield. It's caught by Berry
and he's tackled down nice top by Cord to Ingram
down to the twenty four yard line. But that's an
eight yard pickup by the Wolverines, and it'll set up
third down, third down and one down under ten and
see if Carver can get another playoff. I think coach
Carr is waving them back to the sidelines, so that

(01:58:08):
will do it for the third quarter. Thirteen point lead
for the Bulldogs as we head to the fourth, but
Carver threatening here thirty five twenty two. You're listening to
Bulldog football here on the kicker. Carver again threatening here
in this second half. But they start the fourth quarter

(01:58:31):
with the football at the opalaka twenty four yard line.
Dogs leading by thirteen thirty five twenty two. Wolverinees though threatening,
they're in the red down, is that correct or third
or down? Third and one at the Bulldog twenty four
yard line and Rustle out of the shotgun gets the snamp,
hands the ball off to Barry cuts it left side,

(01:58:53):
gets the sidelines and tiptoes and stays in bound somehow,
and he's in the end zone for the Carver touchdown.
My goodness, twenty four yard run as he got the sidelines.
Are they saying he was out of bounds? I'm not

(01:59:13):
sure Mac will go down in the field. Mac. I
saw a touchdown signal, did I not? No?

Speaker 5 (01:59:16):
He stepped out of bounds at the three?

Speaker 2 (01:59:18):
Okay, so they called him out at the three? Well,
the one official it looked like put through his hands up.
I don't know if Carver even those. Now they bring
the offense back so it'll be first in goal at
the three. After all that, Russell out of the shotgun,
hands the ball off to Barry and this time he's
in the end zone with ease left side, and Carver

(01:59:40):
has it a twenty eight to thirty five score, so
a six point game right now. The Wolverines are going
to stay out and go for two, as they have
the entire game. Now they've gotten a couple of these
two point conversions, so now they're in business here. Come on, guys,
we've got to stop them here now and can make
it a four point game. Point game it's like it

(02:00:02):
was before and this will be big here. So Carver
lining up for the two point conversion. Russell gets the
snap play action a little passing the end zone over
the defense and it is in there and good as
he hooked up with his wide receiver and the two

(02:00:35):
point conversion is good. Trying to find out who number
five is. I believe that was Jamaris Harris on the
reception there for Carver, and the Wolverines are within five.
Now thirty five to thirty is our score, and we
will keep it here as the offense, the kicking team
back out here for Carver. Thirty five thirty five point

(02:00:55):
ball game with the Bulldog offense find a way to
get back down the field and put some more points
on the board here and right now field goal, we'll
just make it an eight point ball game. Of the
way Carver is scoring and getting two point conversions. That's
not a big enough cushion short kick for Opelaika and

(02:01:18):
it will be caught at the twenty four yard line,
returnable here by Jamari Miller, but he is wrapped up
quickly at the thirty two yard line and the Bulldogs
will have it first and ten. Maurice Conner comes up
on the stop for the Wolverines and four seasons Federal
Credit Union sideline report. Mac my fence got to step
up here.

Speaker 7 (02:01:36):
Yeah, we got eleven forty eight here, get a good
old drive just like the last time.

Speaker 5 (02:01:40):
Uh yeah, We've got to be.

Speaker 7 (02:01:41):
Able to run the ball consistently right here at eight
that' clock, like we talked about earlier.

Speaker 5 (02:01:45):
But we need points on this drive, fellas, we need points.

Speaker 2 (02:01:49):
Yeah, absolutely. This is the most points the Bulldogs have
given up. The highest output was Auburn twenty eight and
so far Carver has put up thirty and Opelaikah has
Jordan Wait's back in there at the tail back spot
first and ten for the thirty one and wait right
at the line of scrimmage and nothing doing there as
Jamaris Harris linebacker comes in and makes the stop and

(02:02:12):
they say a gain of a yard And that was
a courteous one yard give or no gain on the play.
I was about to say, so the Dogs will stay
for their own thirty two yard line. Here come on
guys' second and ten key with three receivers to the
right side. Jordia Waite stays in there at the tailback

(02:02:33):
spot five point game. Now carverre only trailing by five
thirty five to thirty, and it will be a shuffle
pass inside to Blake Johnson and Johnson up close to
the thirty nine yard line, and that's going to be
a pickup of seven yards. A well designed shuffle pass there,
Pard and four Kamari Jackson on the stop and the

(02:02:58):
bore yard down in three. Come on, guys, dogs, when
they're on a thirty nine yard line, boy gotta dig
deep and try to convert here. I formation kolbe Key
under center. Key gets the snap and it will be
a quick hand off to Blake Johnson and everybody on
that one. No gain on the play. I think they

(02:03:18):
say he got a yard up to the forty. Another
helmet flies off an Opal likea player. That was actually
Blake Johnson who lost his helmet. So it'll be fourth
down and two. Had an official time out here on
the field, and here comes the punting team trying in
for Opal like them. I certainly don't want to give

(02:03:41):
the football back into Carver, but can't risk it here
on the fourth and two. It's your own forty yard line.
At this point in the game. Defense is going to
have to step up and get a stop. So Zion
Henderson stands back at around his twenty seven yard line
to receive this snap from Cam Rayley and a good

(02:04:03):
snap and Henderson puts a good high booming punt into
this one. An affair catch called for at the twenty
six yard line by the Wolverines. Nine to fifty five
left here in this ball game, and a take one
here thirty five thirty in the offense for Carver. Back
out on the field. We're back after this time out
on the kicker.

Speaker 8 (02:04:23):

Speaker 2 (02:04:52):
Back here to action. It is the Wolverines first and
ten a quick insign given a nice stop there by
the Bulldogs. No gain on the Lamary Smiley was there
to bring down the tailback tray Berry for no gain
of the Bulldogs needed that one that would keep the
clock running. Two nine forty two left here in the
ballgame and a five point lead for the Dogs thirty
five thirty. Good job. Kind of surprised they went to

(02:05:16):
the ground there, Coach Yeah, got the three man rush
Carver from their own twenty six yard line. Second down
in ten play, go to the air here, Russell drops
pack pressure, steps up, he's one chunks one way downfield
as receiver, beat the defense and he's got it and
he's at the twenty made a man miss cut right,

(02:05:38):
cut left, and he's going to take it in for
the touchdown. T Ka Norman and he got behind the
defense again for a seventy nine yard touchdown, and Carver's
on top their first lead since they led the ball
game six nothing, and they're up by one thirty six
thirty five over Opalaika with nine eight left. Wow, seventy

(02:06:09):
four yard touchdown. And this is a team, folks, that
got to be home during the playoffs more than likely. Now,
can I tell you something about how tough this region is?
Two back backfield out of the shotgun here on the
two point conversion attempt by Russell and Russell drops back,

(02:06:32):
pump thick left now a roll to the right, throws
back in a wide open man tight roping the sidelines
is Anthony Rodgers and it makes it a three point game.
That was a big two point conversion for Carver and
they lead it by three thirty eight thirty five with
nine oh eight left. You're listening to Bulldog football here
on the kicker. Well, let's Carver with a three point lead.

(02:06:58):
Now with nine o eight to play, they lead it
thirty eight thirty five over Opelika and Carver's sitting to
kick it off. After a huge touchdown reception by T. K. Norman.
Here's the Bulldogs on the return at the twenty yard
line and hit down and not much. There was a
returner for Opelaika. I think that was Jalen Washington on
the return. It was, And so the offense will come

(02:07:20):
back out nine oh one remaining.

Speaker 3 (02:07:30):
Store Man, Yeah, we got a swe can we There's
no more three and outs in our business here.

Speaker 2 (02:07:37):
Carver players shaking up on the field, So we'll step aside.
Time out on the field. Nine to one to go,
Carver leading by three thirty eight thirty five. Back after
this time out here on the kicker first play from scrimmage,
trying to get a speed sweep to Jamari Miller, and
Miller not much. He think he got back to the
line of scrimmage and that is Ed and Dogs trying

(02:07:59):
to find any creative to get some offense going right now,
and Rashid Walker strings out that speed sweep and no
gain on the play. It'll be second down in ten
for the Bulldogs again from their on twenty two yard line.
Not many excuses. I know this Dog team has beat
up right now. Calvin Hugley out of the game, been

(02:08:19):
out since early in this game. But boy, this has
been a lot of Carver and they lead it now
by three. BS got to find some offense. Jalen Washington
goes in motion and the Dogs just got a movement
penalty and that's going to back them up five yards.
Dogs are just sleepwalking right now, it seems like, and just.

Speaker 5 (02:08:39):
Against them.

Speaker 2 (02:08:40):
Have been off on defense tonight and set it down fifteen.
Hard to believe this team led Coach twenty eight to six,
and then for Carver storm back and took control of
this ball game. Then had held when I had thirty
five to twenty two yep had at thirteen point, which
has been quickly erased. So after the five yard penalty,

(02:09:04):
Bulldogs for their own fifteen yard line, Key drops back,
wants to pass pressure, dumped it off, gout it to Johnson.
Johnson got the sidelines, and Johnson, they say, just stepped
out add to around the twenty seven yard line. Well,
he just about stayed in bounds and had the sidelines there. Well,
they're going to mark him at the twenty three yard

(02:09:25):
line for a ten yard pickup. So this will be
a third and five coming up now for the Bulldog.
So made it a third and manageable. Well, you got
to convert here. Seven fifty eight left in this ballgame.
You really can't afford to give it back to Carton. No,
I don't think so. Bringing a man in motion, they
tried to get the speed sweep. They give it back
in shine to Blake Johnson, and Johnson is close to

(02:09:46):
the first down up to the thirty two. I think
he's going to be it's close. He gonna be a
yard shy. I think you might have to go for this.
I don't think there's it's a first down. So it
was enough for a first down, got it? Up of
the thirty two good good, good, good, So seven forty

(02:10:07):
three left here in the ball game, and an I
formation here for the Bulldogs trailing by three thirty eight
thirty five Key under center. Now he checks the sidelines.
Blake Johnson is the full back. Is Jordan Waits remaining
in there at the tailback spot and the handoff wil
Beat to Waits. Waits went left, cut back inside and
Waits up to the thirty five yard line for three yards,

(02:10:30):
and that is it. Seven seventeen. The clock continues to roll. Okay,
that's three. Come on, Well, you'd love to work some
clock here and get to get a touchdown, and you
gotta leave this Carver team very little time left here,
you go. That's what I was just thinking. Vam one
white out either side, Waits the tailback, he'll be out

(02:10:52):
of the shotgun here on second down and seven from
his own thirty five yard line. Six fifty three remaining
and Dogs moving from right to left. Key out of
the shotgun, gets the stamp drops back, pressure comes and
Keith throws it away and no flag down yet for

(02:11:13):
intentional grounding, but it may be coming the side for
Carver going crazy as Colby Key was going down to
the ground. He slung it towards the Carver sideline and
the flag does come in and that will be intentional
grounding against Oplaika. So that's going to be a huge,

(02:11:34):
huge penalty. There was six point thirty nine left in
the game. What was a second and seven and Carver
brought the pressure for the backside and Kobe just never
saw it. It's going to back it back to the
twenty yard line, like a five yard in the bowl,
five yards from the spot of the toowl. That's a
loss a down and that will be a third and

(02:11:56):
long coming up here for the Bulldogs. Twenty two, third
and twenty two Here for the Bulldogs. Two white outs
to the right, Singer receiver to the left. Here for Key.
With just six thirty nine left in the game, Kee
gets the snap. It'll be a hand off to Nelson
and Nelson hit down at the twenty seven yard line.

(02:12:17):
Jalen Nelson, the sophomore running back, gets the Kerry got
it up to the twenty seven yard line and it's
picked up two yards. Our gotten up to the twenty
seven that was actually seven yard pick up. So now
Zion Henderson checks to the ballgame. They'll have to punt

(02:12:38):
it away and only six Zho nine remaining, and the
clock continues to run here and Carver leading by three
thirty eight thirty five. Henderson gets the snap, sure this
is not one of his better ones, got it too
high up in the air and shanked that one out
of bounds, and Carver's gonna have a really good field
position leading by three with five point fifty five left

(02:12:58):
here in our ballgame, Wolverine's offense coming out, we're back
after this time out here on the kicker brod Dogs
unfortunately have to put it back to a red hot
Carver I fence and they get them set up at
the opalika forty three as Carver leads thirty eight thirty
five with five fifty five left in the game, and
from the forty three yard line, it's Russell out of

(02:13:20):
the shotgun, gets the snap and hands the ball off
to Barry trying to run here near side, broke a tackle,
stay on his feet and brought down by Ty Hudson.
As he gets down to the thirty nine yard line.
He'll pick up four yards after it looked like he
was dead to rights for maybe a yard loss in
the backfield five thirty seven clock, continuing to run Carver

(02:13:42):
leading thirty eight thirty five and second down and six
coming up here for the Wolvers, we need to load
it up. We can't let him get a first down. Yeah,
and for once, you think they're probably going to keep
it on the ground here as trpo Anthony Rodgers goes
into running back the really dangerous athlete here for Carver.
Russell gets the snap play action, wants to throw it

(02:14:03):
and miscommunication there as he chunked that one out of bounds.
That may be intentional grounding, boy, And coach Moore is
having a field day because he threw that one well
over everybody nobody close to that and coach Moore wants
an intentional grounding. Boy, He's not gonna win that argument.

(02:14:26):
But boy, that that was just as close to intentional
grounding as the other one. Third down and six at
the thirty nine of Opalaika quick play action and the
quarterback takes off and runs to the thirty five. He's
going to be short of the first down for the
fourth down and about a one and a half coming
up one And as he got it down for a

(02:14:50):
four yard pickup on the scramble of the fourth and one.
Load it up, Yeah, Carver will stay out here. You
gotta find a way, can't jump off sides here four
forty two, the clock continuing to run here in the
fourth quarter, Carver leading by three, thirty eight, thirty five
going Ford here on fourth and one, hold up the
box at the opalaika thirty three or the thirty four.

(02:15:12):
They'll need the thirty three for the first down. Russell
out of the shotgun, Russell checking the shine lines. I
think coach Carr may take a time out here, as
he has walked over and he will burn a time out.
So gonna think this one over fourth and one for
twenty one maybe the play of the game when we
come back. You're listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker.

(02:15:38):
Oh well, I gotta have to try try to find
a way to stop this Carver offence. Fourth and one
and coming up here for the Wolverines with four twenty
one remaining in our ballgame, Mac, what do you think
Carver's dialing up here? Run game? Are going for the jugular? Wow?

Speaker 7 (02:15:53):
I'm sure they're gonna try to run it right up
the middle here and just try to get one yards
because I'd put a ton of pressure, but we got
to get low here and stuff on.

Speaker 5 (02:16:00):
I just see him running the ball right here to.

Speaker 2 (02:16:04):
Their main guy right here, all right Bury. The tailback
is to the left of the quarterback Russell. It's fourth
and one at the thirty four of opeal Akah. Russell
gets it and will be a hand off to the
tailback and he should have enough for the first down
as he gets it down to the thirty one yard line,
and that will be a first down and a big
first down pick up there for the Wolverines as the

(02:16:25):
clock starts back running. When they set the chains here
four thirteen and the clock starts back running, we got
two timeouts left, Is that right?

Speaker 5 (02:16:36):
We do?

Speaker 2 (02:16:36):
Malik Autrey was on the stop there for the Bulldogs.
First and ten at the thirty one of opeal aka
Russell letting the clock wind on down here in this ballgame,
as Carver leads by three thirty eight thirty five, a
wide out either side, Coach carr letting his quarterback and

(02:16:57):
communicating with him, let that play clock wind on down.
They'll snap it before on the play clock and the
tailback gets outside and a good run there by Anthony
Rodgers as he's wrapped up inside the twenty down to
the nineteen yard line, and that is another first down
for the Wolverines, or it should be close. There is

(02:17:20):
a bark up. There's a flag though on the plug,
so we'll wait and see maybe a hold against Carver.
This one looks like it's coming back now legal procedure
against Carver, so that will back him up five yards
and replay the down. Three point thirty four clock is

(02:17:42):
stopped and it should stay stop till they snap. It
starts back.

Speaker 3 (02:17:51):
Your favorite little bit thought you start a clock after
a penalty, they stop the clock again.

Speaker 2 (02:18:02):
Van Oh, welcome those that are watching us on WTMT TV.
As Vincent early in the crew there put up our broadcast.
We hope this one wasn't going to be an interesting
game for you, but it is right now. Is Carver
Leeds thirty eight thirty five over Opelaika with three thirty
four left a wide out either side as Russell out

(02:18:24):
of the shotgun here on first town handoff goes to
the tailback. In that time, Anthony Rodgers is bottled up
good by the Bulldog defense. Salan Jackson in there on
the stop and also Tremaine Thomas for the Bulldogs. Clark
continues to run three twenty one left, so this will
be second down and fifteen coming up here for the

(02:18:47):
Wolverines at the thirty six of Opelika. Come on, guys,
come on mate, get one more stop under three now's
the lot continues to wind down here in the fourth quarter,
second out in fifteen for the Wolverines, snap and the

(02:19:07):
handoff goes to Bury no quarterback keeper, and he goes
out of bounds. Tried to stay in bounds, but he
went out of bounds at the twenty seven yard line.
Stops the clock with two forty five, so they marked
him down to the twenty seven yard line. A third

(02:19:30):
down and seven man, it'll be third and six, third
and sixty six, okay, but four down territory for this
Carver team. They lead by three thirty eight thirty five
of two forty five left. Here at Crampton Bowl, Russell,

(02:19:53):
out of the shotgun and wide out either side play
action wants to take a deep shot down field and
it is almost intercepted by Cord ingram Boy. Cord almost
came down with that one. I'm not I thought for sure.
Cord was gonna come down with it and it will
be fourth down and six for Carver. Clok stopped again
with two forty left. I can't believe they threw the

(02:20:18):
ball well, but that's right, I can that's their strength.
They feel like that's their go too. When they need
a play, they can throw it, and boy they have tonight.
So Carver will stay out here on fourth down and
go for it and dogs kneeding a stop. Only two
timeouts remaining, two forty left in this game. A wide

(02:20:39):
out either side, they'll play action and throw for it
and it is called out of bounds at the nineteen
yard line and that will be enough for a first
down as he got it hooked up over on the
near side, crumping. That was Crumpton on the reception number

(02:21:00):
three and it's first down at the nineteen of Opelaika.
The Dog's gonna have to start using some timeouts here.
Just two twenty six left, please go on p thirty eight,
thirty five three point lead for Carver. Wolverring's trying to
send down their fans on Senior Night with a big
win over Opalaika. Two twelve and the clock continues to run.

(02:21:21):
Just two timeouts remaining for Opalaika, and off goes to
Barry and he has hit down and go to get
down to the fourteen yard line. Tyler Moore on the
stop and Coach Moore comes in and burns a time
out here and they'll stop the clock with two minutes left,
thirty eight thirty five. Carver trying to run this thing
out as they lead it here at Crampton Bowl. You're

(02:21:42):
back after this time out. You're listening to Bulldog Football
on ninety seven point seven Kicker FM. Two minutes remaining
here at Crampton Bowl. Just one more time out for
Opalaika and it's second down in five here for the Wolverines.
They lead at thirty eight to thirty five, and off

(02:22:04):
goes to Rogers. Rogers here near side and Rogers is
tackled down from behind by Alan Jackson at the nine
yard line. But he's going to be really close to
a first down. He may have it, and if he does,
that was pretty muss he does, so that's pretty much
going to do it here. One forty eight left all Polk.
It just with one time out left down Tarborough and

(02:22:28):
they could pretty much sit on this one. For those
watching around the state, this will show you how tough
this region is. This is the fifth place team pretty
much right now in the region that has played so
many teams close. In this three game losing streak they
had in the region, Will lost to Enterprise, a three

(02:22:50):
point loss, a five point loss at Central, and then
a pretty good game last week AGAINSTDALBN that was Bury
on the carry as he got knocked out at the
five yard line, and Barn a big upset tomorrow night
with Smith's station over Enterprise. This Carver team's going to
be sitting home, which is crazy to think coach, with

(02:23:12):
the talent that they've got. Yeah, I know you're right, Nate.
And they got down in this game twenty eight to
six against Opelaika, and they have battled back and they
lead at thirty eight to thirty five and on their
way big win over the Bulldogs. We're back after this
time out. You're listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker.

(02:23:45):
Just one O seven left here in this ballgame, and
Carver just about go to the victory formation here second
down and five second down in goal from the five,
and I believe they're going to come into the to
the victory formation here as they lead it by three
thirty eight thirty five. Coach Brian Moore is known coach
Bobby Carr for a long time. Coach Carr actually coached

(02:24:07):
coach Brian Moore when he was a AISA All Star
back in the day. Coach mccrackett, did you know that. Yeah,
Coach Carr was actually the coach of the All Star
team for the AISSA when coach Moore was representing his
Springwood Wildcats back in the day, So the two have
known each other. Coach on the other sideline has actually

(02:24:29):
coached coach Moore. Well, after this one, I know it
will sting. This Bulldog team was really beat up. I
mean you look at the schedule, ten straight games with
no off week for this team and here on the
back end a short turnaround after a big emotional game
last week against Central. No excuses, just stating facts. So
this Dog team will have next week off to get

(02:24:50):
ready for a home playoff game. Still the number two
seed and seven A Region two and they'll welcome in
a team from the Huntsville region and we'll find out
who that will be after tomorrow night's game. Going to
be the winner of the Florence Spartman game at Bulldog
Stadium on November the eighth, So can I have to
put that one behind us? Rogers gets the carry down
to the two. Rogers had a time out taken by Opalaika.

(02:25:19):
Look like I had his time out restore. So the
Dogs had a time out put back, so a timeout
and this will bring up a third down here for
Carver at the three yard line of Opalika. Thirty eight
thirty five. Our score just one minute to go. You're
listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker late here

(02:25:50):
one minute to go here at the ballgame opal Like
and now with no timeouts remaining in a third down
and goal coming up here for Carver at the three
yard line and Wells trying to punch it in and
ikes this one run the rest of this clock out.
Thirty eight to thirty five. They leaded by three. Russell
out of the shotgun. He's got Rogers to the left.

(02:26:10):
They hand them all off to Rogers. Rogers has stopped
no gain on the play, so that will bring up
fourth down. Dogs cannot stop the clock, so there's about
an eleven second difference here, about a ten second difference
before Carver has to snap this football. So if they
don't get it. Opeka may get the football with about

(02:26:32):
maybe nine seconds left, and that's about it. Coach yep.
And if Carver even took a knee right here, Ope,
it gets it back with about eleven seconds. It looks
like coach Carr got to burn this one down and
take a time out. So down to seventeen, down to sixteen,

(02:26:59):
and down to a and down to ten and that's
when coach Carr comes in. It takes a time out.
So ten seconds left and a fourth down play coming
up here for the Wolverines. They could try to run
around a little bit and burn the ten seconds off.
Be an interesting play and an interesting decision. We come
back back. I know, tough one right now. And what

(02:27:21):
you hope somebody fumbles the football a bad snap, you
pick it up and scoop and score. Not over, but
boy backs against the wall right here.

Speaker 5 (02:27:29):
Yeah. Coach Moore just told him in the huddle.

Speaker 7 (02:27:31):
He said, guys, this, you know, this game has some
crazy stuff in it, you know, the game of football.
He said, Just rise up to the case and keep
them out of the end zone and give our offense
one more shot at the ball. He said, you know,
just keep it going. So you know, look for a stop.

Speaker 2 (02:27:45):
Here, all right, Thank you Mac McCracken with our four
seasons Federal Credit Union Sideline reports ten seconds left, a
fourth down and goal from the four again Carver leading
by three thirty eight thirty five, and don't forget still
tomorrow night. Here on the kicker, we still have the
Encore Rehabilitation High School scoreboard show and open like a

(02:28:05):
football of course tomorrow night. But the guys will kick
it off at ten o'clock tomorrow night and go till midnight,
running down all the area scores. Last play here for Carver,
we'll see at the dolls and get another shot. They'll
hand the ball off to Barry. Barry, trying to run
far side of the field, breaks the tackle. He's in
the end zone for the touchdown. Tyrese Fitz couldn't bring

(02:28:26):
him down. He gave every effort he could to get
out there and try to bring him down, and Barry
gets in the end zone for the touchdown to ice
this one forty four thirty five with five seconds left.
Offense will stay put out there for Carver. They've been

(02:28:49):
going for it for two all night long, and then
we'll go for it again here a bit of a
top ten team that will be sitting at home in
the playoffs. Quarterback, we'll throw for it and it's good.

(02:29:11):
For sure. There was a lineman downfield. They do have
a flag on the play seof I try is good
or either he was beyond the line of scrimmage. Either
one very bizarre rpo play there by the quarterback. We'll
wait and see what the penalty was by the official.
I think it was ultiple guy downville. I thought there
was a guy well into the end zone. We'll waiting.

(02:29:40):
I think that was the official call. Five seconds left,
forty four to thirty five. Our score one thing o
pola like a fana. You remember home game for the
playoffs coming up on November the eighth, and remember that
is general admission seating for the playoffs, and all tickets
will be purchased through go Fans. I know, the whole
side normally purchase paper tickets at the gate. In the playoffs,

(02:30:04):
you'll have to purchase those tickets through Go fin and
I will of course update you next week on the
Brian Moore Show on ways to purchase those tickets and
how to get them and when they will go on
sale and all the details on that. Russell will just
drive them to a knee on that two point try
and with five seconds left, Carver will kick it off
to Ople Like and a big win here for Carver
coming up here on Senior Night on a season that

(02:30:28):
Carver really hope for a lot more as they will
be off next week, so this is their last game.
And like we said, Barn a big upset with Smith's
Station over Enterprise. The Wolverines are going to get left
out Enterprise. We'll get that fourth seed in the region.
So as it will play out, it will be Auburn
number one seed that's locked up opal Like of the
number two seed that's locked up Carver are Central, rather

(02:30:51):
the number three seed that is locked up, and the
Enterprise with wind tomorrow night locks up the number four
seed and Carver will be left out sitting at home.
And this is a very town. The Wolverine team and
coach Bobby Carrs did a good job coming in here
and getting some athletes on the field. And as TK

(02:31:13):
Norman that that's really good tonight coach he going to
Texas A and m Anthony Rodgers a four star comment
going to Alabama. They got some good they got some,
as coach Moore says, they've got some dudes. Yeah, that
may be a good wake up call for Opalika heading
into the playoffs. End over end kick and Jalen Washington

(02:31:34):
will give it a shot here across the ten fifteen.
Jalen hit at the twenty two yard line and that
will do. And here from Crampton Bowl final play, as
Washington is wrapped up and the final score, Carver knocks
off Opalinka forty four to thirty five. Wolverine's battled back
after trailing this one twenty eight to six. They get

(02:31:55):
this game close at the half, and then the Bulldogs
had a thirteen point leading the second half and Carver
never batted their eye and they went at forty four
thirty five. Here Crampton Bowl postgame show on the way
next in a post game busit with coach Brian Moore
coming up next, you're listening to Bulldog football here on
the kicker back on the postgame show presented to you

(02:32:21):
by Jeff Coach Trent funeral hallmay tough of tonight for
the Bulldogs falling forty four to thirty five here at
Montgomery's Crampton Bowl. We'll send it down on the field
and Matt McCracken is standing by with coach.

Speaker 7 (02:32:32):
Thank you, Coach Moore. Tough night to night for the Bulldogs. Hey, look,
you know that's a great you said it all week.
This will be a great Carver team, very talented.

Speaker 2 (02:32:40):
We David all.

Speaker 5 (02:32:41):
We had fought through a lot of adversity, a lot
of mistakes, like you said, you.

Speaker 7 (02:32:44):
Go halftime, could really correct it the second half. Much
needed off week next week.

Speaker 5 (02:32:50):
For this Dog team.

Speaker 7 (02:32:51):
A lot of banged up, a lot of banged up kids,
get healthy and then we just get ready for the
stretch run in November.

Speaker 5 (02:32:58):
Ate at the Bulldog Studio.

Speaker 4 (02:32:59):
Well, you know, life's all about responses, and you know
we responded to the last time this happened. You know,
I hate that we didn't get it done tonight for
our community.

Speaker 2 (02:33:09):
That's on me. You know, I've got to do a
better job of getting us ready.

Speaker 4 (02:33:12):
I was worried about our complacency, and you know, I
just have to have to do a better job of
driving the message home that in our league, man, you
just can't take nights off. And I didn't feel like
we did completely, Like we didn't go lay an egg.
I mean, we're up two scores in the fourth quarter,
didn't finish the ball game. We got gassed on defense.
We probably played eighty ninety snaps who knows what, just

(02:33:32):
like they've done to everybody this year. And this is
a really good football team, I mean truthfully, you know,
they are really talented and should be in the playoffs,
whatever you want to say. But I've got to do
a better job, and I apologize for that, and we'll
do better with our kids. The deal is, though, is
how do we handle this. I felt like this was
a really important game as far as how we get
you know, how we feel our momentum towards the playoffs,

(02:33:55):
and we've got to do a great job of rising
back up. I need our people to do that as well.
Everything is still in front of this football team. But
this game did matter. We don't ever say that games
don't matter any of that kind of stuff. Our kids
are hurting right now. And then, like I said, I've
got to do a better job of leading our staff
and leading our kids. But we got to get back going.
We are gonna take time off. As badly as I'd
like to go practice tomorrow, you know, we're gonna take

(02:34:15):
time off because we needed. Our kids are beat up.
We took you know, we have several injuries tonight, the
first time this year that we've had that many, and
I think it cost us late in the ball game
where we were really fatigued and didn't have those bodies
like we normally do to run in there. But again,
we got to kind of lick our wounds and get
back to work and clean up the things. It was
twenty eight to six early in the ball game and

(02:34:36):
we threw a pick and then we let them drive.
We had a big play and it turned the whole momentum.

Speaker 2 (02:34:41):
Everybody's so good.

Speaker 4 (02:34:42):
If you give those momentum plays, they will storm back
in the game. We've seen that over and over and
we've got to find a way to finish people. That
will be our message. That will be what we work
on as we work through the bye week. We still
host a playoff game at home, and we're gonna get
ourselves back going. I can assure you of that, lick
our wounds a little bit and get this team back
back ready for the playoff run.

Speaker 5 (02:35:03):
All right, coach, go talk to you dogs and we'll
see you November eighth.

Speaker 2 (02:35:06):
Thanks Mac, appreciate it all. Right, Thanks so much. Mack
mccracking down on the field as the Dogs fall here
on this Thursday night football game to the Carver wolver
Rings by final score of forty four to thirty five,
and coach, just like he said, you know, everything's still
ahead of this team. Maybe you can use this as
a wake up call. I think you know when things
are going so good and you hit a speed pump

(02:35:27):
and you hit a bump in the road like this,
that you know in the grand scheme of things, you
know didn't mean a whole lot because you got the
home field advantage. You're still the number two seed in
the region. Thankfully you won that game against Central or
this may have been a must win game for the
Bulldogs tonight to get in the playoffs. It's that tight
in this region. But you know what, you get a
week off. Matt McCracken is still down on the field

(02:35:47):
and Mac, you know what, we'll be talking next week
on the Brian Moore Show about how to get playoff
tickets in seven A And that's something we hadn't been
able to say. And it's going to be a home
game of Bulldog Stadium November the eighth, and I know
it's gonna be a lectric atmosphere. And I'm telling you,
the team we're gonna play in the first round of
the playoffs is't gonna be anywhere the caliber of this team.
I don't know who we're playing, but there's not gonna

(02:36:09):
be as good as this car For team.

Speaker 7 (02:36:10):
Yeah, I know, I agree with you. And they were
you know, the Carvers so much, you know, and and
you know Coach Moore, you know, he harped on that
twenty eight to six lead and then letting that go
with those you know, the big play This is a
big playmaking team, kind of like a PlayStation video game.

Speaker 5 (02:36:27):
And you know, they talked.

Speaker 7 (02:36:28):
About how much talent they did, and you know, Coach
Moore addressed him and said, guys, this team is the
most talented team we're gonna play. They have more talent
than Central, more talent than Auburn, and they have some
playmakers and they're big striking playmakers and not just not
just here a couple three four yards and then they're big,
big striking yard gainers. But hey, look this is one

(02:36:49):
that you just gotta you got you gotta throw, you
gotta throw this away. And like coach Moore and the staff.
They're gonna address it. They're gonna love on these kids,
build these kids up to be able to finish. And
this is one to where you move forward. And look, hey,
we got to get healthy. I know you dog fans
were you know, listening in, but we had some banged
up dogs and I that had to miss you know,
that went out in the first quarter, went out in

(02:37:11):
the second.

Speaker 5 (02:37:11):
Quarter, third quarter. We're missing some key players here tonight.

Speaker 7 (02:37:15):
But hey, you got that's why you know we put
that open We got that open date on next week.

Speaker 5 (02:37:20):
Get well rested.

Speaker 7 (02:37:21):
And look when you leave right now, you know you
know what that you know they're gonna they're gonna think
about this loss. This loss is gonna sit on them.
You know, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen year old kids. It's gonna
make you a little angry. You know, which is feed
You know, it'll feed it, It'll feed it. Feed that
win and get ready for that playoff run because now
you're in the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (02:37:38):
Now you're in the dance. So this is this is
what matters right here.

Speaker 7 (02:37:41):
Of course, you know every game matters, but here you go,
this is your stretch for the Blue mount. So you know, hey,
a city of oap like a dog nation. We got
to fill up that stadium for these boys, especially for
these seniors. Okay, everybody, be there and nowhere in braithe
if you can't be tuned into the.

Speaker 5 (02:37:57):
Kicker n FHS, but be there for those kids.

Speaker 7 (02:38:00):
There's nothing like on my hear them all the time
just talking about Hey, you see the crowd to night.

Speaker 5 (02:38:04):
You see the crowd to night.

Speaker 7 (02:38:05):
I love it when this thing's packed in a first
playoff game in two years.

Speaker 5 (02:38:09):
Be there for these.

Speaker 2 (02:38:10):
Boys, all right, thanks so much, make appreciate the visit
down there on the field. And again our next broadcast
coming your way November the eighth, inside Bulldog Stadium, going
to be the winner of Florence or Sparkman. And we'll
of course give you updates on how to purchase tickets
again to be on go fen and when they will
go on sale. And can remember a general admission for
the playoffs and no reserve seating for those playoff games,

(02:38:31):
So Dog fans would like to sit in there same
seats every time. Better get there early and go ahead
and get your cushion down, and go ahead and get
your spot there inside Bulldog Stadium coach Brian Moore Show
again coming up next week and it'll be dropping around
Wednesday and then they'll give you any updates on the
lunches leading into the playoffs and all that sort of
thing next week on the Brian Moore Show. That'll do it.

(02:38:52):
From Crampton Ball again. Our score carver a Winter tonight,
forty four to thirty five, Dogs fall to eight and
two overall, five and two in region play. Still the
number two seat in the region is still a home
playoff game again November eighth at Bulldog Stadium
