(01:10):
the Voice of the Bulldogs band RigsWell, the oppen Laga Bulldogs shit the
high school football scene last year inthe state of Alabama when the Dogs knocked
off the heavily favored Central Phoenix CityRed Devils inside Bulldog Stadium back one year
ago. That stamped a six gamelosing streak to the Red Devils, and
the Dogs dominated the trenches with atough ground attack that kept the Red Devil's

(01:32):
defense moving back almost the entire gameon their way to a seventeen to fourteen
overtime win. This year's Central teama better team, reloaded at several key
positions, and their air attack thisseason with transfer quarterback Andrew Alford, has
already surpassed a thousand yards on theseason through the first three games. Five
Star White Out cam Coleman, aTexas A and M commit, stands at

(01:53):
six foot four and has holding eighteencatches for three hundred and thirteen yards and
five touchdowns. Many around the statessaying this offensive group has more firepower than
Thompson's team that the Dog faced backin week one. Well, let's kick
it off and find out if theDogs can hang with these Red Devils here
tonight and knock them off for thesecond year. In a row. I've
band Riggs joined last sight coach Spencemccracking mc mccracking down on the sidelines.

(02:15):
You'll be roaming around tonight and thedogs in the black pants, white jerseys
tonight of course on the road heretonight, black numbers outlined in red as
they head into the locker room toget ready for the final preparations before they
head out on the field and tonight'sbattle against these red devils. Just another
week in seven eight Region two wecome back. Coach Spence mccracking will join

(02:37):
alongside and we will preview it getsyou ready for this big battle here in
seven eight Region two, it's Opalaikain Central Here at Garrett Harrison Stadium at
Treywick Field. Our pregame show presentedto you by Frederick Dean Funeral Home.

(02:58):
Welcome back here inside Garrett Harrison's Stadium. Countdown to kickoff continues our pregame show
presented to you by Frederick Dean FuneralHall. I'm vand Riggs joined alongside Coach
Pitts mccrackhead will coach. When youcome into this one, you know from
your battles of the day with CentralPhoenix City. This is the eighty first
all time meeting between these two teams, second longest rivalry for the Bulldog.
Central leads this overall series forty sevento thirty three. Last year, O

(03:22):
Blanket, like we said, snappedthat six game losing streak to the Red
Devils. When you look at rivalries, Auburn ninety seven times, Benjamin Russell
seventy three times, this one comesin at number two there in eighty first
all time meeting. They've put thetotal leather quite a few times in this
series, have they not. Yeah, I was just thinking about Wayne Trey
wid You know, they named thefield after Wayne and he was a great

(03:45):
football coach. And then Ron Nelsoncame along after him, and he was
a great coach. They had verygood teams. Every year. We played
him at Opelaca, and we neverplayed him at Robert E. Lee.
Believe that or not. We neverdid schedule or catch them in the playoffs.
But uh, I'm telling you knowwhat I'm thinking. I'm just thinking
about our defense. Uh in agame like this, Uh, the and

(04:11):
I know they throw it all overthe field, but we can't let them
run it. We cannot. Wegotta make them throw it, and we
got to put pressure on this guy. Now, there's an old saying that
you take quarterbacks, Jeremy, thatare great quarterbacks and you pressure them.
You take those quarterbacks that aren't verygood, and you defend with them.

(04:32):
So this, to me is avery good throwing quarterback. And so I
think I think Eric and him puta lot of pressure on him, try
to get rid of the ball, and uh, and I was just thinking
about that and then us having tohave a great ground game. You know,
we we we've been working on ourground game and uh, it's got

(04:54):
to be tops tonight. And lastyear's game, if you remember their center,
uh made up bunch of bad snapsand they were off sides. I
think they had a bunch of penaltieslast year. So we got to keep
the penalties down. We've got toplay a good sound football game, not
like Auburn and Cal played last Saturdaynight. Kept keep me in a dog

(05:15):
up till two thirty. But anyway, it's got to be a clean game.
And you know, I know we'reunderdog in this game, but you
never know what's gonna happen. Andwhen these two get together, and you
know, maybe we can pull outa win, I hope. So all
right we come back, we'll hearfrom a head coach Eric Speakman as we
continue with our pregame show presented toyou by Frederick Dean Funeral Home. You're

(05:36):
listening to Bulldog Football here on ninetyseven point seven Kicker FM tonight here in
Central Phoenix City. Bus head coachEric Speakman, Coach, you know,
anytime you come over here and playa good Central Phoenix City team, you
know you've got your hands full tonight. But if you want to win this
region, you know it's got togo through these guys typically and Auburn and
those guys towards the top of thisregion the way it's been in seven eight

(05:57):
for the past several years, andwhen you flip them on film, I'm
sure not much difference. I'm surethey've got a lot of good playmakers over
here. They do. They havea lot of playmakers. Got a quarterback
that came over from Columbus this yearthat's throwing the ball around. We're really
really good so far through a coupleof games, I guess three games for
them, and he's got some reallygood receivers. They've got Cam Coleman that's
going to tex say them, it'sa big target for him. So you're

(06:20):
right, we'll have our hands fulltonight, but I expect our kids come
out and play really well tonight. What did you learn about your team last
week? I know they were ina little struggle through the first quarter,
slow start, but when they turnedit on, boy, they got going.
Yeah they did. And you know, we we said that with Lee
last week. We're Percy Julia nowthat you know they they had some really
good players, but we thought thatwe could wear them down. And I

(06:41):
think you saw that in the secondquarter once we scored a you know,
we got the pick six, thenwe had the trick play, so we're
able to open up a twenty fournothing lead on him. And then after
that, you know, we kindof just ran away with it and they
scored laid on our you know,a couple of younger guys that were in
the game. So I think itwas forty four to eight was the final.
But I thought we had responded betterin the second half last week than

(07:02):
we did the week before against jagOver in Montgomery when we had a big
lead at halftime, and then wecame out and we're just really sloppy,
So we were we were happy withthe second half last week, and we
hope that that carries over into tonight. Yeah, I know. One of
the things we talked about postgame wasthe offensive line working on still establishing that
running game. How's that gone thisweek? It's been good. We've got

(07:25):
uh, basically the same five thisweek. This will be the first time
that we really have all five starters. We've had some illness, uh,
you know, through the first coupleof games, and then we lost a
guy last week to a knee injurythat you know, he was going to
be a backup but had kind ofworked his way into start in the last
two weeks. So that'll be abig hit for us at right tackle.

(07:46):
But we're back to where we kindof were expecting to be when the game
started now with all five of theseguys healthy and ready to roll. Last
year, it was really the gameagainst Central where you really established the big
ground running attack. What was itlast year that you're able to do against
Central? Is is maybe the sameblueprint coming in tonight. Yeah. We
were able to you know, reallyjust attack their their two interior guys,

(08:07):
you know which one of them's backand the other guy. They've they've got
this a new player, but youknow that guy's bigger now. And these
actually committed Alabama, So you know, I don't know what will be there
tonight. I know they've got greatteam speed, so I don't know how
much of our outside run game willbe there. But last year we were
able to kind of keep it.You know, everybody wants to yell all
you do is run it up themiddle. Well, last year that was

(08:28):
successful for versus these guys, butthey also had smaller linebackers last year.
Uh, these two linebackers they havethis year a little bit bigger and run
probably better than those guys last year. So we'll have to really do.
What we've done the last couple ofweeks is just kind of fill out where
we can run the ball as thegame moves along, and you know it
may start out slow, but youknow, we've been able to get some
big runs the last three weeks onguys once we kind of figured out what

(08:52):
what kind of run scheme we wantedto use. How much does it help
you play in a team like Thompsonearlier in the season where you can kind
of know, hey, this iskind of the bar that's been set with
these teams, and you know you'reprobably going to see another similar type team
tonight. You hope it helps andthat's what we'll find out tonight. And
you know that's the biggest reason wescheduled that game to open the season was

(09:13):
to see where we are, seewhere we need to get to to be
able to compete with the bigger teamsin seven eight. So you know,
our kids know that they saw whatwe did against Thompson that didn't work,
they saw what we did that didwork, and hopefully we can fix the
problems we had and you know that'llcarry over to tonight and we'll play well
against Central head coach Eric Speedman. Will continue our visit with Coach Speedman after

(09:35):
this time out. You're listening toBulldog Football here on the Kicker back here
in Central Phoenix City, pregame businesswith head coach Eric Speakman, Dogs and
the Red Devils here at Garrett HarrisonStadium. Very tough place to play in
this state, in this region acoach. I know we talked about the
matchup against Thompson earlier in the year, trying to run side to side on
those guys. It wasn't very successful. They're really fast, got a lot

(09:56):
of teams speed. I know,Central kind of be the same we mentioned
attacking the interiors. What's kind ofthe game plan tonight offensively, same thing
it's been. You know, getsome screens throwing to uh Jamari and Jordan
Brody and Ben It should be backtonight. We held him out last week,
So get those receivers going. Andyou know, we've got to have
great blocking out there on the perimeterso that we can break a few tackles

(10:18):
and get the ball in space andand as the game goes along, you
know we might be able to youknow, run the ball a little bit.
Uh. You know, in thisleague, you got to really look
at a at a good run asthree to four yards. If you're averaging
three to four against some of thesed lines, then you know that that's
a good run. You know, you're not going to rip off these big
long runs every time. So it'sreally just being patient, taking what they

(10:39):
give you, and uh, youknow, hoping they'll keep this game close
like we did last year and anduh you know, we kicked a field
going over time to win it lastyear. So if we can keep this
thing close and put some pressure onthem. Then I think we'll be good
defensively when I when I've watched alittle bit of Central on film. You
just can't give up the big play. That seems like that's kind of the
deal with them every year. Don'tlet them get over the top of you.

(11:01):
Defensively. The secondary is really goingto have their hands full tonight,
aren't they. They will, Butwe've got a good plan. Coach Mass
and his group put together a reallygood plan for these guys and secondaries really
coming along. You know, wehad some coverage bust in that first game
versus Thompson, but we've got seemedto have gotten those problems fixed, so
tonight it will be You said it, you can't give up the big play.

(11:24):
That's what they've done to everybody thatdid a Hewitt, they did a
Smiss, did it to Enterprise lastweek and h you know, they're living
and dying off the big play.So hopefully we can eliminate those or at
least limit them to, you know, not many explosive plays and then certainly
not have one where they score becausethat really changes the momentum of the game.
And you said it, keep everythingin front of you and tackle and

(11:46):
make them drive the field and hopefullythey'll make some mistakes along the way.
I don't know if you got anickname for that group up front yet,
but we'll call them the big unitright now. I think that big unit
on defense right now, it's goingto be key for you tonight getting pressure
on that quarterback. They will, they've they've done a good job with that
the last couple of weeks, andwe expect that from them tonight. And
you know, the like I mentionedearlier, the secondary, Carson Moss had

(12:07):
a great game last week. Istackling's come really coming along? Open field
tackling. Colvente had an interception.Actually we had four picks last week.
One of them returned for a touchdown. So we'll have to get a few
interceptions, maybe some turnovers tonight anduh, you know, and then offensively,
do you know, make sure youdon't turn it over and and we
we still have to limit these penalties. The penalties of killing killed us the

(12:28):
last couple of weeks on some drives, So got to eliminate those. And
you know, same recipes, alwaysstop the run, don't give up big
plays, and don't have any turnovers. And you might have a chance to
win. And we didn't mention specialteams. I know a lot better last
week kicking that ball in the endzone. You don't want to give these
guys a chance to return one toyou. You certainly don't. They have
a lot of weapons back there thatcan you know, really really flip the
game on you. You know, very similar last year when prattle, we're

(12:52):
up fourteen nothing and kick it offand right, you know, within seven
seconds is now fourteen seven. Sothat's another area where they can expose you
and where we can't give up bigplay. So special teams will be used
tonight like it was last year's game. Coach, good luck tonight. I
appreciate the visit. Thank you godogs, Hey, coach Eric Spetman.
We'll come back and get you readyfor kickoff here from Garrett Harrison Stadium.

(13:13):

Keys to the Game tonight, broughtto by Glenn Smith Chevy. All right,

(14:00):
Van, it's gonna be about fiveor six plays that's gonna make this
game. So we need to firstof all, we need to hustle every
snap of every play and see whathappens. Don't turn the ball over and
make third down conversions. We've gotto be able to keep the ball away
from their offense. And like Isaid, we got a really good defensive

(14:22):
line, so hopefully our secondary willplay. We gotta get turnovers, turnovers
tonight and make some big plays.Win the fourth quarter. If we can
win that fourth quarter and the firstfive minutes of the game, last five
and a half, first five ofthe third quarter and last five last five
of the game, hey, we'llgo on be a happy bus ride home.

(14:46):
All right, there you go.There's your Keys to the Game to

(15:50):
right now before we get you ourcaptains tonight before they make their way on
the field. As it stands rightnow. Radar pretty clear, little shower
off to the southwest of the PhoenixCity area right now, but hopefully that
rain will hold off. We've hadsome overcast, cloudy, sket conditions.
We do have a pretty good breezehere, but clear skies at the moment.
As we get you ready for tonight'sgame and head down the four seasons,

(16:11):
Federal credit you to Sideline report.MC McCracken standing by on the sidelines
Mackwell was a message for him.Coach speakman to his boys tonight thanks a
loud van. He just told him, hey, give four or five seconds
every play. Be relentless, everyfour or five seconds to play. This
is gonna be the biggest game thatwe've played so far. It's a war.
He just basically said, you knowwhat, you know what this game

(16:33):
is all about. We've played everyyear. Go out there, represent the
city of Opelika and don't let upthe whole night. All right, good
message there. I like that whencaptain's tonight for Opelika number nine, you
got JaMarcus Phillips out and also numberthirty two Jackson Killcrease captain number sixty seven,
that's Parker kill Crease. His brotherand then also number fifty four Tomorrow

(16:56):
Ross captains for the Opelika Bulldogs onthe central Phoenix City side of things.
Number eleven rhyd Darius Morgan, eightcaptain also number eight, that's wide receiver
Cam Coleman. Number six running backZach Simmons. And then they're big man
on the defensive side that's committed tothe Alabama Crimson tide, and that would
be number eighty eight. I say, ah faga, and he trots out

(17:19):
to the middle of the field. He's really gave a lot to that defensive
side of the football for the RedDevils. Mac mccracking heading to the center
of the field. Coin tellus bodyby Reynolds Outdoors located on Geneva Street and
Opelaco time introduce yourselves. Let medo my thing, and then when would

(17:41):
do the captainist them? Okay, well, white Happen does not We'll go
there you go. White Happen doesnot want you in there. Mac right
now, so all made him nervous? Mac all right, Well we normally
get the message from the white hat, but he's a little back full.

(18:03):
That is, that is the firstman he's given his instructions. The each
team. That's kind of why wewant to do it. White hannt you
know to hear what you gotta sayto the to the guys to give you
no little publicity here tonight, tellme call it both ways. Call it
both ways. Now there you go, Mac, you get to come in
for the coin flip. I guessthere, all right, visiting team,
this is our coin. This istails, this is heads, all right,

(18:26):
it's hiss. Let's tape. Whatdo you choose to call tis?
He called what he calls tails.I'll flip the coin in the air.
If I drop it on the ground, we are going to flip it again,
all right and call his tapers itis heads. Central is one of
the toss Do you want to dofirst? All right? All right?

(18:48):
So Apelika loses the coin, tassCentral wins the coin. To'all say to
fer to the second half. Sowe will see and open like an offense.
Get the football first here, let'sdope like a bulldog football. It's
our final pre game time out. When we come back, kickoff up.
Tonight's eighty first meeting between Opelaka andCentral. That's on the way next here
on the kicker, welcome back hereto Phoenix City. As we get you

(19:17):
ready for kickoff of the eighty firstmeeting between Central and You're Opelika Bulldogs tonight,
coach McCracken is gonna be really upto Opaca's defense, I think more
than it will be up to theOpalaca offense. Of course, Opake is
gonna have to score some points tonightat the challenge I think will be how
did you contain this pass? Anattack from Central? Andrew offer the transfer
quarterback comes over from Brookstone and Georgiaand Columbus six one hundred and seventy five

(19:41):
pound junior. He's thrown for overa thousand yards already through the first three
games. I went against you atTrustful Smith Station and Enterprise forty eight twenty
four to win at Hew at Trustfulfifty one, nothing to shut out here
at home against smith Station, andlast week on the road, very impressive
win against Enterprise forty eight to seven. Just like I had said just a

(20:02):
few minutes ago, Van and wegot a pressure, got a pressure,
good throwing quarterback like that, getour hands up, maybe get a pick,
knocks some balls down and definitely don'tlet him run the ball all right.
First quarter brought to you by Land M Point and Gun, your
go to shot for reliable guns. They carry handgun, shot guns, rifles,
as well as all the other accessoriesyou could want. Led M,

(20:22):
Point and Gun open Monday through Saturday, nine am to six pm twenty twenty.
Fix Front Avenue in Opelika. EthanPaul puts toe to leather and we
are underway. It will be returnablefor the Bulldogs inside the five. They
got a good return game Jamari Miller, though, nice move across the twenty
across the twenty five yard line, they're gonna mark him out of bounds.
It looks like though at the twentythree yard line, so that's where the

(20:42):
Dogs will start first and ten theoffensive line up Jordan Tilburn a senior number
four six two one seventy six,Tremaine Thomas number seventy two six excuse me,
five, ten, two sixty theleft Kyle Epperson number sixty three,

(21:03):
a junior. I'll get you therest after the snap, all right,
Roman Gagliano will start out of theshotgun formation. Coach Speakman said, you
have to get it out of hishands pretty quick tonight. With this defensive
Central Dons will starting for their owntwenty three yard line. There is an
early official time out here. Iwonder if they're gonna if Opelika is gonna
slow the game down just a littlebit. You know, coach, you

(21:25):
know, coach Speakman typically does notstray from what he does. Yeah,
and we'll see what they decided todo tonight. Hugli will start to the
right of Gagliano here on this firstdown play from the twenty three yard line,
and it's communication here, and that'sgonna be an early procedure penalty against
Opelike. It look like the widereceiver here on the near side, we

(21:45):
cannot do things like that. Goodgracious live hard to hear. I would
imagine here early you're on the thatwide receiver was lined up here to the
near side, near the central stands, and that's near the student section.
Yeah, those receivers need to moveon the ball a lot. So after
that five yard penalty and we'll backit up to the eighteen yard line.

(22:08):
Here's a throw in the flash.Jamari Miller's got a lane across the twenty
five. He's across the thirty andhe's up out of bounds around the thirty
one yard line. Terrence Jackson, the linebacker comes over to make the grab.
Well, that's a pretty good pickup, and that's gonna be up close
to a round maybe after the penalty. They're about a a fourteen yard pickup.

(22:30):
Gonna be second down and two.Make that a thirteen yard pick up.
Excellent second down and two at thethirty one yard line, quick handoff
to Hugely. He's hit right inthe hole there and he's gonna be brought
down by to half a yard loss. Isaiah Faega, the Big three star
committed to the Cripson Tide, comesup, makes the stop. It'll be
another third and two four Opelika.Yeah, when you get anything then just

(22:52):
the inside zone play. We gotwhipped at the line of scrimmage. Need
to make this first down Van Itwas the outside quick throw flight of having
some trouble getting the plays in fourteenon the plate clock here as we come
to you from the Orthopedic Clinic Broadcastbooth here in Phoenix City. Third down

(23:14):
and two here for the Dogs, big down here. Gagliano gets the snap,
drops back and wants to throw. Will throw to Jamari Miller. He's
got the first day he turns itup field across the forty He's up to
the forty three. He spends hisway up to the forty four yard line
for another Lambert transfer and storage firstdown, a thirteen yard pickup before Terence
Jackson comes in and makes the stock. That's a great throw and catch.

(23:37):
Dogs want to go fast here,Coats are not slowing down from the forty
four yard line. Gagliano now pressureand rolls to his left, avoids the
rush, and now we'll just haveto know not throw it out of bounds.
He's gonna take a big loss ashe goes out of bounds at the
thirty eight yard line. Boy,right at the thirty nine. Boy,
Gagliano really needed to let that onefloat into the YEA, that's a five
six yard loss. Yeah, Ineeded to throw that one away back to

(24:00):
the thirty nine yard line. Thatwill be a loss of five second down
in five coming up. We gotsomebody, yeah, on the offensive line
that's already kind of banged. Uh, that's tomorrow Romari Ross down on the
play, so or an early officialtime out here at Dolls with the first
down, moving the football close tomidfield before a loss on that last play.

(24:22):
It'll be a second down in fifteencoming up here for the Bulldogs.
After this time out, we'll seeif we resume play rather quickly here,
because thankfully Tomori was able to getoff the field on his own power.
And it looks like we're all goingto keep it right here. Heck,
we got another Oh that's Tomorio.Let me finish this line up, Parker

(24:47):
kill chriss as your center, numbersixty seventies, the senior Brandon Fears,
the senior sixty nine Cavant, takeCarter the right tackle, number fifty six,
and I'll get the other ones ina minute. All right, ball
spotted at the thirty nine yard lineafter that loss, so it'll be a
second down and fifteen here for theDogs. Gagliano rolls right, steps up

(25:10):
in the pocket pressure, avoids therush for a moment, but that pressure
collapsed on him and he's gonna bebrought down for a sack. Lost a
yard. On the play back tothe thirty eight, bud Ware comes up,
makes the stop and there is acentral player that's down. So it
was a third and short for theDogs that were able to convert. Got

(25:32):
the first down, but a coupleof sacks on Gagliano and a couple of
pressures situations there, and now thedog's facing a third and sixteen. Not
what you want to be in.So this will be a third down and
long situation here for the Bulldogs.Ten fifteen. We're just done away here
in the first quarter, open anddrive here for the Dogs. One first
down, four Opelika trying to converta third and long here. It'll empty

(26:00):
backfield and a flague comes in outof five yard penalty. I'm not sure
hugely moved out of the backfield, but it was on one of the white
outs. So movement again and thisis gonna be a third and twenty one
coming up here now for the Bulldogs. David Miller, Junior's you're tight in
your quarterback, Roman Gagliano number sixteen, Calvin Hugley the junior number six,

(26:23):
Jamari Miller, junior wide receiver BrodieJones seventeen, Blake Johnson number thirty,
sophomore promising starting here. But athird and twenty one now for the Bulldogs.
Two receivers either side as Opelikas pushedback now to the thirty four yard
line. Actually the thirty three tenminutes left over here. In the opening

(26:45):
quarter of play, Gagliano gets thesnap, play action, steps up in
the pocket, and Gangliano goes downsacked on the play. Tristan Lyles comes
in there and then a host ofred devils. That pocket collapsed in a
hurry and another big loss on theplay. Gagliano's helmet came off there,
thankfully though, He's okay, andit's gonna be fourth and boy, an

(27:07):
absolute country mile here, coach, all the way back to the twenty five
yard line. That was a lossof eight yards on that play. So
this is gonna be fourth down inthirty three. Now, Gagliano will not
be able to punt this one awaysince his helmet did come off. This
will be Zion Henderson who will punt. It's one of their offensive linemen.

(27:30):
Henderson a few steps to his rightand he absolute put a missile up in
the air there and it hits downinside the forty yard line. I thought
it hit out of bounce. Itdid at the thirty nine yard line.
So a heck of a boot thereby Henderson. By a thirty six yard
punt and centrol Phoenix City's offense trotsout on the field. We'll see them

(27:51):
for the first time, but firstlet's post in seconds for station identification.

their all thirty nine yard line.Quarterback Andrew Alfred out of the shotgun play
action, drops back steps up.Here comes that shot. We knew what
was coming back deep for Coleman. He goes up top and he hauls it
in inside the fifteen yard line andhe goes down to the thirteen yard line.

(28:36):
Boy, we knew it, well, you knew it, coach forty
eight yards right out of the gatethe cam Coleman good coverage, but unfortunately
he just goes up top. He'stoo tall. SAX four. Mac mccrack
can call that one on your wayover here, didn't you, Mac,
Well, yeah, we said thewhole sideline. Boy, here comes to
the ball eighty five remaining in centralin the red zone. Here set up

(29:00):
inside the fifteen at the fourteen quickthrow incomplete that one nearly intercepted there boy
corn Ingram had a shot at itand called Vante White also in good coverage.
They're second down in ten. Ballhas spotted down at the thirteen yard
line of Opelika. Wouldn't it bereally good if we could stop him down
here? This is this is reallybe huge. Gotta watch them for the

(29:22):
faith. You know they're going tothe air here. Coleman has lined up
as the inside receiver. He's thebig target six four one eighty five.
This will be a second down playat the thirteen play action offered. He's
pressure goes down, he's sacked backat the sixteen yard line. Maybe the
seventeen coming up on the sack wasZamari Smiley. There's that Opelika defense.

(29:42):
Here we go five yard loss, five yard loss back to the seventeen yard
line. This will be third downand fourteen coming up here. Four of
the Red Devils eight eleven left inour opening co replay scoreless ball game central
with a big pass to open uptheir drive out of pressure and keep pressure

(30:04):
in in just like we just didfrom the seventeen. It will be third
down and fourteen two receivers left sideoffered quick throw to the right side and
it is knocked away. Great coveragethere by the Bulldogs. That was JaMarcus
Phillips in coverage and he knocked itaway. The intended receiver was Dylan and

(30:25):
Gentry and it's fourth down and herecomes the field goal. Team. Boy,
what a great stand by this Dogdefense After that big passplay, Ethan
Fall comes in for the field goalattempt. Here, light Foot and Autrey
inside, Jackson and Smiley on theends. Our front four really did good
job putting pressure on them. BandFall into the bild goal a timp thirty

(30:48):
four yard attempt here from the left. Hash here's the snap, high snap,
got it down and the kick isup and it looks like it's all
the mark to the left. Itis no good. What a good stand
by this Bulldog defense. Bulldog defenseand then coaching Booth to our right,

(31:08):
certainly fired up with the way thatdefense showed out there. Seven forty five
remaining in that opening quarter of play, in a big stand by this Bulldog
defense. As Central comes away withno points there, great job, great
job gave them that big pass play, that big play and defense. I

(31:30):
told I told you Vaying, thisdefense is gonna this is gonna be the
key to the game. We didn'thave this defense last year. Well,
you know that's something Central's not usedto, coach. They mark the big
pass play. They usually, youknow, march on down the field and
get their points that time. Afterthe big forty nine yard pass to Coleman,
it comes up empty where we're throwingthe ball a lot here. Now,

(31:51):
let's see, I don't know whatwe're gonna do. Bulldogs will line
up first and ten from their owntwenty yard line, Gagliano out of the
shot gun with two receivers left, single receiver right now. Miller will go
in motion and it will be arun play hugely and Hugly's wrapped up in
the backfield. Hugle is gonna losetwo yards before bud Ware comes in and

(32:12):
makes the stop for the Red Devilsand be a loss of two second down
and twelve run. Game has notbeen there, coach. It's been really
the positive place for the Bulldogs offenseso far has been the quick passing game.
And they got some big boys upthere on that defensive line. Ninety
nine Khalil Alim. He is aload. That is a big child.

(32:37):
It is I'm telling you. Secondand twelve sevent ten remaining here in the
first quarter, scoreless game open likea second possession. Here, two receivers
to the right. Gagliano drops back. He's pressure. He's got to dump
it out quick to Hugly Hugle. He's got a lane here at the twenty
broken tackle, stays on his feetat the twenty five Hugli cut back and
he's at the thirty yard line andhe's still on his feet up to the
thirty four yard line. Lambert transferringstorage first down as Calvin hugely carries it

(33:01):
up close to the thirty four yardline for a fourteen yard pickup and a
Lambert transfer and storage first down.Beautiful, beautiful. LJ. Williams finally
comes up with the ball with astop there from the thirty three quick throwing
quick cast hope Alaika and coming upon the grab there was number seventeen Brody
Jones, and Jones has it upto the forty yard line a six yard

(33:24):
throwing catch. This will be asecond down and four coming up here for
the Bulldogs again. Opalika goes fastfrom the forty quick handoff inside and up
to the forty Maybe the forty oneforty two gonna be a one or two
yard pickup. I think just ayard up to the forty one yard line,

(33:44):
third down and two dogs hurrying upfrom there. On forty one,
it'll be third down and two Gaglianogets the snap. They crash hugely up
the middle and he's close. He'sright to the sticks. Looks like a
not a very good spot. Thespot over here, whoever spotted it?
If it's if this guy over herespotted it's a first down to quand sinks

(34:06):
on the stop for the Red Devils. They've got it marked fourth down.
I think they're gonna mark him shorthere. At least you need to measure
Yeah, that's he got a badspot. That he's he's short. It
is fourth and short. That's nota good spot. Hey, Eric's gonna
go for this. You want tobe it a You know you're not gonna

(34:27):
get many an Eric at least won'tsay a measurement. He's gonna at least
get an official time out here. We'll take it with him. Time out
on the field. Fourth and inches, we come back. Bulldog football continues
after this, well, dogs won'tknow they'll be facing a fourth and short
mc McCracken for a four seasons FederalCredit Union sideline report. Mac, how

(34:52):
close is it right there? Yeah, it's like a half a yard.
It's it's really close. I thinkthey're gonna go for it here, and
I mean you put put the tipsee early. I hope they put them
beat boys. Absolutely. This isthis, this, this is a big
turning point right here. Van Gaglioyou get it, you get it,
and uh, that's gonna be somebig momentum to just to keep going,

(35:12):
all right. Gagliano comes back in. It's not the heavy set package,
but the Dogs will line up outof the shotgun here. It'll be fourth
down and one dogs three. GaggonOn might throw a quick shot out there
to the right side. He's theslots wide open, all right. From
the forty three. Gagliano hard count, quick count, and there goes Hugli.
He's got the first down. Hehurls the man and he stays on

(35:35):
his feet and he is up nearmidfield. Lambert transference storage, first down,
four seven yards needed one. Whata big dominating run play there by
this Bulldog team. Great job firstdown, go baby, that's the way
do you mean to play. SladeClayton also in their blocking on that play.
Help with the nextra push. DrewGagliano checks in the ball game.

(35:59):
Dogs shuffle Anson players here fifteen onthe play clock at midfield. Now as
the Dogs have another Lambert transfer andstorage first down. We're scoreless thirty opening
quarter. But Dogs on the moveat midfield, trips receivers to the left,
Singer receiver to the right side.Dogs get the stamp. Here's Javon
Williams to the right side, tryingto find some running around out the sidelines,

(36:20):
and he's brought out of bounds andaround the forty three yard line.
Another good run there by Javon Williams, who checks in the ball game.
But another good run play for thisDog defense. Yeah, that's an eight
yard Carrie Delvin Stokes on the stomp. They'll mark it out at the at
the forty two yard line. Sothat was an eight yard pickup second down

(36:42):
and two. Great job on thaton that right side by that Dog offensive
line. Fears and Carter on theright side. Dogs are marching down the
field here at the central forty threeyard line, quick throw out in the
flats, and that's Brody Jones whohas a first down. But there is
a flag on the play. Now, how can you call hold? That
was a quick too, I standfast. I do not understand that.

(37:07):
We'll see it could be defense demandsto the face. We'll see. And
it was a very very very fastwhistle or flag. No, it gets
to us, Yeah, dead comeit. It's a blocking that's about like
that holding penalty on that field goalSaturday night. Geez whizz. So that's

(37:32):
gonna be a ten yard penalty, and we'll move the Bulldogs back across midfield,
back to the central or the dogsrather forty eight yard line five h
eight remaining here in this open corner. Still scoreless ball game, I hope
like because offense was some rhythm there, but that penalty and to put the

(37:54):
Dogs behind the sticks here. Secondout of twelve trips receivers out to the
left side for the dog singer receiverto the right. Gagliano out of the
shotgun formation, gets the stamp, looks right, throws cult and that is
right too, Brodie Jones and Joneslunge is ahead and Jones is up close

(38:15):
to the forty one yard line. That's gonna be close to eleven yards before
Cameron Westbury comes up and makes thestop. This is gonna be a third
and two, as they've gotten theball marked down at the forty two yard
line. Here we go third downconversion. Two receivers left Singer receiver right,
hardcount by Gagliano. Now he checksthe sidelines. Calvin Hugel will be

(38:38):
the loan back to his left.Gangliano gets the stamp play action, throws
here near sign Jamari Miller's gun.It spins away from one man, stays
on his feet up close to theforty yard line. He's gonna be right
at the sticks again. Yeah, this is gonna be another one. Right
Darius Morgan on the stump for theRed Devils at the forty I think that's

(38:59):
got to be a first down US. It is Lamberts three storage first style
that will move the chains enough asthe quick throwing the passing game of Gagliano
six of Mariy Miller six of sixthrowing the ball bam. Heck of a
start for the senior quarterback. Inhis wide receivers here he's already found Jones,
and we were running some clock twowhich is good. Keep that ball

(39:22):
away from their offense. Under fourminutes, Central's touch the ball for one
possession and missed a field goal.If you're just joining us zero zero game
here, quick hand off to Hugly. There's a good run across the forty
five thirty five and Huglei's down closeto the thirty one yard line, and
that is close to eleven yards. All we are toting that freight Brodie my

(39:46):
number ninety one second down and onenine yard game, nine yard pick up
right coach. So the Bulldogs downto the thirty one yard line of Central
and it will be another hand noplay action throws across the middleland. Jones
has it at the fifteen yard line. Brody Jones comes up with it at

(40:07):
the fifteen yard line for a sixteenyard throwing catch, another Lambert transference storage
first down. It's Monterious Nichols whocomes up on the stop and the Dogs
going fast to the fifteen. They'llgive it to Hugely right side Hugly down
close to the ten yard line. They'll say tripped up at the twelve yard
line. Where do you get aboutthree three yards on the play, there

(40:32):
checond down at seven from the twelveyard line. Dogs two receivers right Singer
receiver here to the near side ofthe field and hugly the tailbag. They
passed quarter of the end zone goingfor Tolborn and he was tugged from behind.
There's a flag in there. Passinterference coming on the Red Devils number
seventeen was tugging him from behind andhe got flagged on the play. That's

(40:58):
gonna be half the disc is itnot. It will be great job Briggs
Cameron for the Red Devils, guiltyof that pass interference on Jordan Tolbert,
and that'll be a half the distanceto the goldpenalley. It'll actually be second
down and looks like a very shorttwo inside the ten down and around the

(41:23):
seven yard line. Second and two, that's great. More like second and
one. Right here at the sevenyard line. Quick handof there is Javon
Williams. He's inside the five,he's got the first down. He's down
to the three yard line, sodown to the three. First end goal
coming up here for the Bulldogs beforeBud Ware comes in and makes the stop

(41:45):
on Javon Williams. Two thirty fiveleft here in the first quarter, scoreless
bull of gone, but Opelika isknocking on the door here, first end
goal at the three yard line.Man in motion. That's Drew Gagliano.
Brother Roman gets the snap, handsinto ja Vian Williams and he is met

(42:07):
right in the backfield. A reallynice stick by Tristan Lyles, who read
that one all the way. Helost a couple on that, didn't he
He did whilst a couple back tothe five yard line. Second down and

(42:28):
gold from the five. So atwo yard lost their second and goal from
the five. Can't go away fromwhat's been working, right, coach.
You got the quick passing game, the run game, everything really everything,
everything's been kind of at your playsheet now everything's kind of been working.
Play action. Roman rolls to hisleft, wants to throw back of the
end zone, in and out, ends of his intended receiver, Jordan Tolbert,

(42:54):
in and out of his hands inthe back corner of the end zone.
Third and goal from the five.Boy had it. There was some
defenders in front of him, notsure if they lost sight of it,
but it got it right in theback corner of the end zone. Tough
one. There, goodness, DrewGagliano looks like he'll be checking in the

(43:15):
ball game scoreless game, one thirtyfour left here in our opening quarter of
playoffs, l and M pawn andgun and the dogs are gonna have to
burn a time out here and thinkthis one over time out on the field.
One thirty four left in our openingquarter of play you're listening open like
a bulldog football here on ninety sevenpoint seven kicker in third and goal for

(43:39):
this open like a bulldog offense thathas marched all the way down the field
against this central red devil defense andRoman Gagliano and company facing a very important
third down here, they'll bring DrewGagliano in motion, Calvin Hugli to the
right, Gagliano gets the stamped, rolls to his right, Gagliano steps fires
towards the end zone. Cart Drew'sgot it touts down ball of dogs,

(44:00):
true Gagliano, God, and hefound brother again for a big bulldog touchdown.
That a boy boy? What posedmy Roman Gagliano to keep his eyes
down field? They say incomplete?Oh no, they say he dropped it.
Oh my goodness, mac are theysaying he dropped it. What is

(44:22):
they saying, Mac, Well,we'll have to get a sideline report for
back mccracking. Now the field goalteam running in, Boy, I guess
they waved it off. It wasover on the left side of the end
zone, very far from our advantagepoint. But we'll get an update with

(44:43):
Mac mccrackin right after Johnny Sassena triesto put this one through A five on
the plate clock. Don't rush ithere. Down to two, down to
one and the field goal kick isthrough and it's good. The dogs do
get three. But boy, itsure looked like they had a touchdown wiped
off the board there. I guessthey said that Drew somehow did not retain
possession of that one. Mac mccrackingdown the field. Do you have an

(45:06):
explanation for us? Yeah? Igot an explanation, fan, and you
already know what it is. That'swhy this whole staff is furious down here.
I've got three points out of it. Let's move forward, fight through
adversity, all right, yeah, coach speakman. Letting the official have it
down there on the field right now. As you know, coach, we

(45:28):
just still have the best view. But did you see the catch. Mac,
Absolutely he called it. That's atouchdown. Yeah, I don't know.
I mean, I'm getting people inthe stands on the busiting side just
as confused as we are right nowwhy that was not a touchdown. But
I gotta move all as Mac said, Central mister field goal, Opal Linka
gets a field goal to score anddrive his power by our friends at opal

(45:52):
Likeca Power Services help the town peopleworking for you online at Opelka power dot
com. Well dogs lead at threenothing as we approached the end of this
first quarter of play. One twentyfive left or mind of this first quarter
of play brought to by L andM. Pond and Gun go to Stump
for great and liable guns. Theycarry handguns, shot guns as well of
accessories. Right there, Fox runAvenue in Ovalika Johnny Sassina who just booted

(46:15):
the field goal. It's a goodleg into this one and it goes into
the end zone. Boy that issaying they got five minus five yards rushing
so far tonight Phoenix City, theyhadn't had the ball, but four snaps.
W boy, this is a greatopportunity for defense. Well Central Phoenix

(46:38):
City comes back out now their offensegotta watch it. Andrew offered junk Day
nearly fifty yard passed right out ofthe gate to his big target Cam Coleman.
That set the Red Devils up andaround the fifteen yard line, but
the Dogs defense stood stall tall therein four stay field goal attempt which ended
up coming up. We've got anunsuccessful TRYA gotta stay on this quarterback now

(47:00):
pressuring offered out of the shotgun. He's got trip stacked to the right side.
Play action wants to throw throws herenear side, caught at the twenty
yard line, turned up at thethirty, stiff arm demand at the forty,
and brought down at the forty fiveyard line. And that should be
a face mask against the wide receiver, Yes it is. It better be.

(47:21):
He was up into the into theface mask of the defender. So
we'll await the call here. Ohmy goodness, they call it a horse
collar tackle against Opalaika Gowly. Therewas a face mask by the wide receiver

(47:43):
as he was trying to stiff armthe defender. Well they're gonna get they're
gonna get pits on the horse collartackle. Boy, This is this is
too tough ones here tonight. Soit's gonna be a first down central inside
the forty yard line down to theOpelika thirty nine yard line is where centrals
set up. Now first and tencome on day still first quarter of play

(48:06):
one fifteen left Dogs lead at threenothing over the Red Devils here. Two
receivers right singer receiver to the leftside. Give up is to the tailback,
but there is a flag on theplate as Zack Simmons carries it down
inside the fifteen down to the fourteenyard line. But there's a hold against
central. They are bringing that oneback. They blocked everybody on that two

(48:28):
were lucky on that one. Yeah, that was a big hole. But
there was a hold, yes, there was. Thankfully there was because Simmons
had a big laying there. Andthis will be back towards midfield. Now,
ball spotted at the Openaca forty nineyard line, central right at midfield

(48:52):
one oh eight remaining here in thisfirst quarter of play again open like a
leading three nothing. Andrew offer atthe quarterback. Can't let him run like
that on us like they just did, gets his signals. Two receivers rank
single receiver left throw here to thenear side and nice job rapping up.
The wide receiver coming over was courtIngram making the stop and that was hauled

(49:16):
in by Jacob Tenney. I believenumber ten he got about a yard on
that, didn't he. I don'tknow. Number twenty five, yeah,
not much. Actually, no game, second twenty front's gotta come on now.
Maybe one more play here at thisfirst quarter. As the clock continues
to wind down to twenty seven seconds, Left trips again to the left side.

(49:37):
Singer receiver here to the near side. Alfred gets the snap play action,
looks left, throws deep and overshot. No he did not.
It is called inside the fifteen, and he's inside the five and he walks
it in dal Daling Upshaw rather forthe central touchdown. Boy, I thought
he threw it too far, andDaling Upshaw just got asked the defender and

(50:01):
he's in the end zone for thecentral touchdown with thirteen seconds left here in
this first quarter of play. Ohmy goodness, that was a That was
a good shot. I thought hethought. I thought he overshot him.
But boy, Upshaw, really Ithink called up to that one a lot
faster than I thought. He hada burst of speed there. Coach,

(50:22):
I just did not think you hadhe had another gear to catch up with
that ball through a nice ball EthanPaul for the point after, and it
is up and it is good.We see how dangerous the Central offense can
be or the dogs are hanging in. There are seven to three right now
Central Leagues with thirteen seconds left herein this first quarter of play. We're
back after this, back here atGarrett Harrison's Stadium, Trey Wickfield, Me

(50:52):
and Riggs last side coach Vince mccrackand mc mccracking down on the field.
Jeremy Till is our spotner here hightop, coming to you for the furth
bee to Clintic Broadcast booth on thehome side here at Garret Harrison Stadium.
Boy, we just saw a reallytalented wide receiver make a good play.
There's a good throw by his quarterback. Obviously he knows his wide receivers.
But I thought Dalen Upshaw had nochance to catch up to that ball.
And as Jeremy or Spider here said, did not see that burst to speak

(51:16):
coming, we did not either.Good play there seven three Central takes their
first lead and that ball will bereturnable at the one yard line and a
pretty good return here by Jamari Millermaking a couple of men missed if arms,
a guy stays on his feet andhe's up out of bounds around the
twenty five yard line, and there'sgonna be another flag thrown. And it

(51:36):
looks like this one maybe in thezone a holding on Opelika, like it's
gonna take us back. Fox hada pretty good return going there, but
there's a flag on the play. It's gonna be a hold against Opelaca.

(52:19):
Just gotta replay sent to me ofthat touchdown catch that was wiped off by
Gaglio, and boy, it wasat about as clear cut because of the
catch as you can get. ButDog's trailing here seven to three. Back
with the football though Placa certainly movedit nicely the last time out. There's
a hand off to Javion Williams, and Williams could not get outside what was

(52:42):
a good place by couldn't play byMorgan on the outside by Central to cut
that side off the far side there, and it'll be second down and ten
and the first quarter. Though Centralleads at seven to three. As we
head to the second quarter of play, it'll be Opalaca's football as well.
Flip side sides of the field hereand we'll come back and get you ready
for the second quarter of play herefrom Central So far a tight one when

(53:04):
the Red Devils up seven to three. You're listening to Bulldog football here on
the kicker. Welcome back, hightime, Garrett Harrison Stadium. We're broadcasting
from the North Pete Clinic Broadcast booth, getting ready for our second quarter of
play, brought to you by AuburnPremiere Air Colubern Premiere Air today for all

(53:25):
your hvag maintenance, repairs and replacements. Seven four zero thirty forty eight Ving
Riggs alongside coach Bench McCracken, mccrackingdown on the sidelines and Jeremy till is
our spotter here tonight. They'll besecond down in ten four Opelika out of
the time out, Gotta keep theball, Van, can't give it up,

(53:49):
not way down here. Gotta gottaget some first downs. Dogs have
it from their on twenty yard line. They'll be second down in ten as
we start the second quarter, Ganglianoout of the shot and gun gets the
stamp. Play action. Gangliano quickthrow and boy that was hauled in and
call boy, what a nice grabthere. By Opelanka coming up with a

(54:14):
reception was number thirty seven. That'sTony Ingram, a senior wide receiver who's
not saw the field a whole lotthis year. But Ingram comes up with
a nice grab. Was that aboutsixteen yards? See where they market up
to the thirty four have a fourteenyard pickup and a Lambert transfer in storage.
First down? What a throw? It looked like he got hit early

(54:34):
too wide receiver either side. Ganglianogets the snamp, hands it off.
Williams are hugely rather bounces it tothe right side up close to the forty
yard line, and that's a goodpick up. Seven yard. That was
Jamian Williams. I'm sorry coach onthe carry there, I thought it was.
That was Williams who carries it forsix yards. Offensive line doing a

(54:57):
heck of a job, Thomas Eperson, Kilcher's fears and Carter super job of
blocking. That's almost an eight yardgame? Is it? Seven? Second
down and three? Okay? Dogswill have it from their own forty yard
line. Eleven o eight clock runninghere in the second quarter, Central up
seven, three dogs out of theshotgun. Gagliano gets the snamp, hands

(55:21):
the ball off to Williams. Williamsbounces it inside and Williams hit at the
forty five yard line, and mygoodness, Rody Jones back in the back
was just laid out there by oneof the Central defenders, Morgan and no
flag. Well we're just killing andletting them play tonight. We're killing them

(55:44):
on stats. But let me justtell you that was enough for a Lambert
transferring storage first down. Dogs haveit to the forty eight yard line.
We got twenty five snaps to theirseven close to midfield. The best thing
we're doing is running clock wide outon either side. Ten thirty left here
in the second quarter, Gangliano wantedthe snap, didn't get it, got

(56:06):
it finally laying handed to Williams.Williams slip stayed on his feet though,
and Williams has the ball and thereis finally a flag comes in him.
Where'd that call? And it isbetter not be on central? It better
be on center, Better be oncentral. You know what you got me
think this is a rough and pilingon or whatever you want to call it.

(56:28):
Late here now this is gonna be. This is Jones and that defensive
back of Central they've been tying upand yeah, this is a fifteen yard
penalty. We'll wait and see thecall. It looked like those golfing officials,
what are they talking about? Let'sgo and they they're trying to figure

(56:50):
out who they're gonna throw it on. And we'll wait and see. Personal
file deepens, all right, Sothis personal foul, it'll go against central.
That was that was number eleven.Boy he was he was getting all
in Brodie's face, trying to slinghim down after the play and just not
playing very Yes, very good. We'll leave it at that. That's three

(57:14):
seven yard games at a time.Down to the thirty one yard line.
First and ten, it's a Lamberttransfer and storage first down, and here
comes the Bulldogs at the central thirtyone. Gagliano gets the stamp, hands
at the Williams. Williams with anothernice run, spins his way down close
to the twenty seven yard line. That's almost five more yards one itall e

(57:37):
four yards down to the tent yardline. The Kwan sinks on the stump
for the red delight. Job Fears, Carter Kill, Chris Epperson and Thomas
do it all at work up there. Oh, this is the best game.
Running the football. Coach, we'veseen, oh, no doubt.
Van boy ja Vians had himself areally good first half and that keeps hugely

(57:57):
fresh. And he checks back inthe game. Twenty six please for us,
seven for them. Nine thirty threeleft in the second quarter, seven
three central dogs on the move. Those second and six play action rom and
rolls right, throws in and outof the hands of Jamari Miller, intended
for him at the sixteen yard line. Just went right through his hands.
Good throw thereby Gagliano, sitter cockdat block stole with nine twenty three left.

(58:22):
This will be third and six.Johnny Cissina, we've seen his leg
You want to touchdown here, butyou want too yeah, but yeah,
we need a touchdown this Eric needs. This needs to be two downs on.
I'm kind of selfish, but thirdand six from right here, we've
been moving the football. You kindof like, you know, field goals.

(58:44):
This aren't gonna beat this team. You know that's exactly right, Van,
We'll see it. The trips tothe right singer receiver to the left
side, Gagliano gets the snap, drops back, pressure, steps up in
the pocket. Gagliano trying to runfor it, but couldn't escape the pressure
of the Red Devils. He justalmost managed to get back to the original
line of scrimmage. May a lossto half a yard, but it will
be fourth down and I think withthat though, coach, no positive play

(59:07):
there, they're gonna try to getJohnny right here in the middle of the
field at least with three. Sothe ball is spotted at the right at
the twenty eight yard line, maybethe twenty seven, hard to tell from
our angle. It's been a fortyfour yard yeah, forty four yard or

(59:27):
here from just inside the left hashBrodie Jones will hold holds down and the
kick certainly has the distance. Ithink it's good. He's got it now.
We missed it to the right.O goodness, just to the right,
I thought I thought it went throughfor a moment. But that was
a tough one there. Boy.The dogs marched it down the field,
but come up empty here with eightthirty six left in this first half.

(59:52):
This is where your defense, coach, after all that offense, firepower and
your team coming up empty, youjust and give up a big score and
then look up on the scoreboard andyou're down fourteen three. It's right they
got uh first. Well, theDogs offence has certainly played fantastic. They

(01:00:16):
had a touchdown, they got calledincomplete team up with a field goal and
then marched it down the field hereand came up empty on the field goal
attempt. They've had three big playsand we've had two and they're big plays.
Had been big big plays. Firstdown and at ten from their own
twenty yard line, Red Devils. After that misst x missed field goal attempt

(01:00:37):
by Johnny Sassino, two receivers tothe right side, bad snap, Alfred
falls on it back at the fiveyard line. Boy injur offered the quarterback.
There was another bad snap. Wementioned that last year in this game,
coach, they had a lot ofbad snaps. What's that about a
fifteen yard loss? Ten? Yeah, let's see where did where did they

(01:00:59):
wind up getting back to ten?Thirteen, thirteen yards all right back to
the seven yard now after that boxsnap there, second and twenty three and
a flag on the play, orat least a time out, time out.
It's time out. There is atimeout taking on the field here eight

(01:01:23):
oz four remaining here in this secondquarter seven three central. You're listening to
ope like a Bulldog football here onthe kicker out of the timeout. Second
down and twenty three here four ofthe Red Devils Alfred and company, where

(01:01:43):
eight O four remaining here in thissecond quarter of play seven three our score
Central with the lead, but abig second and twenty three coming up.
Now they'll go to the run gameand the Dog defense there as they haul
in Zach Simmons for a short pickup up close to the fourteen yard line.
Katie and Harris comes up on thestop there for the Bulldogs. Big

(01:02:04):
play right here, big play Van. We gotta get pressure now they gonna
try I wanna be there, gonnatry for a first down right here like
that. It's a post pattern. It gets we're gonna probably be in two
deep zone we are. They're gonnatry to run a post across the middle.
They're gonna try to get some kindof pass, and we gotta get
pressure on this guy. We gotwe don't have our number ones and then

(01:02:24):
we got our number two defense inthere. Third and seventeen here for Central
from their own fourteen offer drops backthrow those way off. Somebody miscommunication there.
It's fourth down. Another nice standhere by this Bulldog defense and I
hope to like his offense with achance to get some really good field position.
Jamari Miller comes in and he's gonnabe standing around midfield to await this

(01:02:46):
punt from Colin Freeburg. And thisis this is a kind of punt I'm
talking about here, Van, Wewant to make sure we feel this thing.
Don't let it drop in front ofus, and don't miss it.
No, don't gotta catch it.Thank everybody. Get everybody bunched in too,

(01:03:06):
so we are to be able tohold everybody up unless Eric's gonna try
to go for the block. Freeburgstands at the one to catch this one
and he booted it away, highhanging punt, go with it and it
is fair catch and called for ateight yard line. Look at this.
We gotta fight, so hope.Like the players having to be pushed back

(01:03:35):
to three flags. Coaches did anice job of keeping everybody on their sidelines.
This should be on both teams. We'll wait to see coach Speakman and
company having a word with the officials. What the note pads are out by

(01:03:57):
the officials right now? Coach McCracken, well that they tied up with each
other other they are to just offsetpenalties and let's play. Coach Knicks out
on the field, Coach speakman outon the field, waiting to see what
these flags are on both the officialscome on it almost like they're writing a

(01:04:19):
book here. This is like thatdolphin bucks last year siking out of down
boorboard three con quarter. So thereis a delay right now is after the
punt. There was a bunch ofplayers tied up from both teams, and
we'll see if this is off setting. We'll see if there's what will come

(01:04:40):
of this. White had his mindup tonight, so you'll be able to
hear along with us the call onceit is made. Here in Garrett Harrison
Stadium, coming to fo Worth PeaClinic broadcast spooth here tonight. An official
comes over and has a word withCoach Knicks. Well, we got a
moment to have all this sorted out. To overget Reynolds outdoors locally on hunting,

(01:05:01):
fishing and archery store. Take careall your outdoor sporting needs. Rentols
Outdoors off Geneva Street. Heah andOpe Lanco. I am a cracking four
seasons Federal credit units sideline report.Mac. I know you probably didn't have
as good a you as we did. But it was just a big skirmish
between about three or four players.Coach Nicks is not really tell you that

(01:05:23):
Coach Nicks is not very happy rightnow, so I'm guessing it's gonna be.
Yeah. I mean, the bestthing here is all set coolheads just
calmed down and let's go back andplaying football. So now they're gonna come
over right now and tell coach speakman, and let's see. Let's see right
what happens here? All right, thanks so much, Mac down on the
sidelines there. Southeastern Land Group thename to remember for all you're a purchasing

(01:05:47):
That's Brian watch John Harden when it'stime to buy or sell lands.
Southeastern Land Group supporters of the OpelankaBulldogs. Seven three is our score six
fifty eight. While we've got apause in play now as the official sort
things out. After a brief littletie up between both of these teams.
It was only involved about four players, I think two for each, maybe

(01:06:09):
one Opelika player from and about twoor three Central players I think hard to
tell. With the white hat Willbe relaying that message to everybody here.
There are two fous. We havedead ball unfortunately fighting forty eight for Opalaika

(01:06:30):
and we have a dead ball unfortunatelyfighting number thirteen per Central. Both players
are disqualified course number forty. KaydenHarris of Opelika has been disqualified and Terrence
Jackson of Central has been disqualify. So coach Nicks did not like to call

(01:06:51):
Arrence Jackson as a starting linebacker andKayden Harris one of the rotating linebackers for
opelikas. I guess kind of evenyou lose the same position yep, well
at the forty seven yard line ofthe Central though goodfield position. As we
get back to football here and Gangliatoout of the time, that will have

(01:07:14):
the offense at the central forty seventrailing seven three here handoff Distac Hugley or
rather Javan Williams across the forty fiveand down to the forty four yard line.
That's a pickup of three yards seconddown and seven coming up here for
the Bulldogs six forty two remaining justinside the forty five down to the forty

(01:07:38):
four yard line. We really needa touchdown. Van Roy, You're right,
that will be nice, coach. How about a big bomb right here,
a big run. Let's bust oneat the central forty four yard line.
Gagliano gets the stamp, goes toWilliams and he has hit bottle up

(01:08:00):
but bounced it outside hugely. There'sa flag on the play. As Hugly
or brother Williams gets across the fortydown to the thirty nine yard line,
I believe they're gonna get o Blancaon a hold. That's a tough holding
call because the play was designed togo inside and then Williams wisely bounced it
outside, but some somebody on thatoffensive line just just hung on a little

(01:08:21):
too long. Yep. That's atough one. That's a tough one if
you're alignment too, because you knowyou you kind of are designed to try
to block one way and then whenthe when the back goes the other way.
And Williams made the right call, there are no doubt about it.
But now it's going to be asecond down in the very long coming up

(01:08:41):
here. Second down in seventeen asthey've got the ball spotted back now at
the forty seven yard line, tripsreceivers to the lift, single receiver to
the right here for the Dogs.Six oh five remaining here in this first
half. Gangliano drops back, throwsquick. Ben Young has caught it at
midfield. There's a flag on theplay. It's going to be a procedure

(01:09:03):
penalty. Godly another one well stuffdark penalty, so Benn and Young has
been banged up a bit. Hewas in there on out play. But
another five yard penalty come out andthe heat time out on the field.
Six minutes left here in this firsthalf. Seven three is our score between

(01:09:23):
OPPEACA and a Central Red Devils withthe lead. And we're back after this
time out. And this word fromHynday of all coming to you from Phoenix
City Garrett Harrison Stadium. It's TreyWick Field seven three Central with the lead

(01:09:43):
over the Opelika Bulldogs and glad you'rewith us here tonight. Our broadcast to
you coming from the North Pete Clinicbroadcast back mccracking down were a four seasons
Federal Credit Unions sideline report. Machas it down on the field. That's
good right now, Van, Imean we we're shooting ourselves with hold and
then the false star up there, one of our white house get a little
bit of happy feet, but youknow this is big time Dad for field

(01:10:09):
position and everything I'm in. There'ssix minutes left to go, is seven
to three. We need to weneed to convert here on something. We
got two downs to do it,and you know, look propel and maybe
stick up a go route in hereright here and make a big play within
these two downs here. But thisis a big field position swing right here,

(01:10:29):
so we gotta make sure we maintainthe football. Yeah, Mac,
you know, we have not reallyseen the Dogs trying to go deep much
here tonight, right right now,and they they little bit of talking right
there, so we're gonna see what'sgoing on. All right, Thanks so
much, make mccracking down on thefield for a four seasons Federal Credit Union
sideline report. Mac mentioned it.We're backed up right now, second down
of twenty one Dogs from there onforty three yard line. After that five

(01:10:51):
yard penalty to laid handoff does toCalvin hugely and hugely gets back to the
line of scrimmage. This is gonnaset up a third down and long five
forty four left at a running clock. Ulf would one other player that's a
draw play we ran. We've runthat. We hadn't been very good with

(01:11:14):
that play lately. I'm not sure, coach, but I don't think somebody
to our right was very happy withthat. Oh I don't either. It's
twenty nine stamps, five twenty fouro'clock running a third and a mile here
for the Dogs, third and twentytwo opelika from their own forty three two
wide outs either side. Gagliano getsthe snap, dumps it out of the

(01:11:35):
backfield to Calvin hugely swarm back fora loss of maybe six seven yards back
to the thirty four yard line.Garry five minutes in the clock, continuing
to run, and boy, theDogs had really good feel position and penalties
really hurt the Dogs on that withoutholding penalty, then they lay a game

(01:11:57):
and now kind of like Max said, feel position game right now because Central
now looking at getting pretty good fieldposition. Their return man stands back and
around the thirty yard line, awaitingthis punt here from Roman Gagliano, who
Roman will take a few steps behindthe twenty yard line about the eighteen to
await this snap here from Parker killCrease. He'll roll to his right.

(01:12:18):
It's a nice end over in boominggrab into this one bobbled and fair caught
at around the thirty seven yard line. That's where Central will start from their
own thirty seven yard linemen. Playresumes here four twenty four remaining here in
this second quarter. How here's yourlast five minutes and a half. If
we have any chance of winning thisgame, we cannot let them score a

(01:12:43):
point right here, ze row,see if that front can get some pressure
on offered boys got rid of itquickly tonight, coach. We heard that
coming in. He was gonna betough to get to. And we'll see
Upshaw and Coleman fly out to theright. Single receiver here to the near
side. A Central starts first andten from their own thirty five yard line.
Run play. Simmons here near side. Nice cut Simmons dragged down from

(01:13:09):
behind by Malik Altree when he getsup to the forty four yard line by
the yard shy of the first downfor a nine yard PICKO. Yeah,
that's too much. They have notrented a whole lot tonight. I was
our start linebacker, got thrown outof the game, and one of their
start linebackers, and we need himmore than they need that guy. I'll

(01:13:31):
bet you second down to one centralfrom their own forty four yard line,
might take a shot right here,Red Devil's moving rank to left. Three
receivers stacked to the right side, offered play action throws left side and went
up for Colbybuddy's out of bounds. Two flags down, though, I guess

(01:13:54):
they're gonna get past interference on thedogs. It was incomplete another penalty.
I believe they're going to get thedogs on pass interference. Wait and see.
Maybe it could be a push offnow out they're marking it, or

(01:14:16):
at least the central players are walkingthat way. Well, wait for the
official call here from the white hat. It wasn't no catch. We have
defensive class interference, all right,Yeah, fid yard penalty. So pass
interference going against Opelanka that'll be afifteen yard penalty. There's just not many

(01:14:43):
people that can cover Cam Coleman.I mean, he's a five star,
one of the best wide receivers inthe country and coach he looks every bit
of six seven or six eight downthere, doesn't he amongst all these players
listed six four eighty five. Hewas the target on that catch there first
and ten after the penalty down tothe forty one yard line of Opeike.

(01:15:03):
It'll be another run play there, and a good one by Zach Simmons as
he carries it down close to thethirty six yard line, close to five
yards. Colvante White comes up,makes and stop for the Bulldogs. Three
twenty left in our first half.Central lead seven to three, but now
the Red Devils are on the move. Fie Blake is gone to a three

(01:15:26):
man front trying to add to theirfour point lead. Here the Red Devils
are. They line up with tripsto the left, single receiver to the
right, cord Ingram's gonna try toguard Coleman and it'll hand off. That
is a nice stop there by theleak Aultrey comes up and wraps up the
tailback right in the hole. Nogain on the play and a nice tackle

(01:15:50):
there, buy Ma leak Aultrey.Third day on and a big one coming
up here for this Dog defense. This shoes they're gonna try out chuck this
one. It's four down territory forCentral, you know too. Two thirty
two clock running here in this firsthalf. Big third down coming up here
as Central has it at the opallike a thirty seven yard line, it'll

(01:16:15):
be third and seven offered, dropsback, pressured it, rolls to his
left, trying to find somebody downfield, throws it up and his tip
near Lee intercepted. Boy Corbante Whitewas there. It went in and out
of his hands and it's incomplete andit is fourth down coming up here for
the Red Devils. Another good jobby this defense. Pressure in the quarterback

(01:16:38):
there forced offered office pedestal coach andmade a roll to his right. You
can tell he was not comfortable beinga right handed thrower rolling to his left.
Yeah, Malik and Lightfoot both inthere. Alan Jackson Smiley, great
pressure, said you got to pressurethis kid. Four point lead for the
Red Devils. They lead at sevenat three. Here's a worth down and

(01:17:00):
seven coming up for the Red Devilsat the dollar thirty seven to either side.
Alford drops back, looks right, throws deep towards the end zone and
it is hauled in. It iscaught by Cam Colvin for the central Touchdeam
Core and aingerm on coverage there. He did what he could, Just couldn't
I keep up with a big fella, Cam Colvin. He got past the

(01:17:24):
defense in a perfectly placed ball thereby Andrew Alford, so with two oh
five remaining here in the second quarter, Central adds to their lead thirteen to
three. It's a ten point ballgame, but Ethan Paul will try to
make it an eleven point advantage asthe senior place kicker comes in. He's
a lefty or the point after attempt, it should be a big one here.

(01:17:45):
It's a ten point game right nowand the extra point attempt is up
and it is good. Central leadsat fourteen to three here at Garrett Harrison
Stadium. Two five left in ourfirst half and we're back after this time
out. You're listening to Bulldog footballhere on the kicker back here, coming

(01:18:13):
to you from the North Pete ClinicBroadcast booth, vand Riggs alongside coach Bence
mccrack and mc mccracking on the sidelinesto hear me tell our spotter tonight.
Central marches it down the field andconverts a fourth down play four eight touchdown.
Cam Coleman comes up with the graband Central lead to now fourteen to
three. Here is Ethan Paul, the senior kicker to boot this one away.

(01:18:38):
Dogs will have a right around twominutes to work with and this will
drift back into the end zone. Not returnable there for Opelika and Dogs will
come out and try to run sometwo minute offense here. Opelika, we'll
have to kick the ball to centralto start in the second half, and

(01:18:59):
coach to change the way you approachthis two minutes knowing you've got to get
the football in the central to startthe second half. So we're down by
eleven, so we you know,we got to try to move the ball.
We got two minutes, so definitelynot time to come out and just
show her run it into the half. Dyn. I don't know. I
don't think so all right, Dogswill come out from their own twenty yard

(01:19:23):
line, first down in ten.Gagliano rolls to his left, throws and
it is cult Jamari Miller's got itat the twenty five yard line. There's
a five yard pick up and thatwill stop the clock with one at fifty
nine left, and we'll set upa second down in five for the Dons
with their own twenty five yard clock. Gagliano and company look into the sidelines,

(01:19:47):
trying to get their play signaled inlater arriving crowd for the Bulldogs tonight,
but they did bring a pretty goodcrowd. Most of the visiting stands
filled up tonight. Yeah, Gleanoon second and five, we'll roll to
his left. Pressure comes and Ganglanojust had to throw that one away.
Closest man in there was number three, Jamari Miller. Yeah, we didn't

(01:20:09):
block ruining block well on that one. So here's what you don't want to
do. Third and six with oneto fifty four left in this first half,
you don't want to give the footballright back to Central here. You
gotta keep this drive going. Fourteenthree is our score. Central with the
lead leading by eleven. Here latefirst half, Lake player coming off rope

(01:20:33):
alike, it'll be trips receivers tothe left side. Singer receiver here to
the near side. Now Miller orgo in motion tight. Gangliano gets the
shotgun snap and throws and it iscaught first down across the forty yard line.
A great haul and grab there bythe Bulldogs coming up making that one
was number thirty. That's the Eightsback Blake Johnson who comes up with the

(01:20:56):
grab. How many yards he geton that man? We got it up
to about a fifteen yard pick upthere, and it's a Lambert transfer and
storage. First down, Gagliano sidearms shot in and out of the hands
of his intended receiver Murie Miller, who had it in his hands near midfield
but could not hang. One threeleft, clock stopped fourteen three again our

(01:21:19):
score. Dogs trying to put togethersomething with a two minute offense. Here,
Dogs bringing in a new regime ofreceivers. Here we see Talbert and
Gagliano, Drew Gagliano and Javan Williamslining up to the right. Second down

(01:21:41):
in ten Dogs for their own fortytwo yard line quick throw. Talbert's got
a nice move at midfield and Talbertdown to the our central forty nine yard
line, and that's gonna be closeto a first down right at the four
nine yard line of Central and thiswill be third and one coming up here

(01:22:04):
for Opelika trips receivers to the leftside. One sixteen left here in this
first half and the Dogs of thecentral forty nine. Roman drops back on
third down pressure, comes a flagthrown on the play and Roman just running
for his life. He's got toget rid of it and now just chunks
it into the central stands and there'sone flag down in the area that could

(01:22:28):
be holding on Opalaika. Boy,that was a tough one two on third
and one light on. So we'llawait the official call holding against Opelika,
and that's gonna be a ten yardpenalty from the spot of the foul.
So this is gonna put it aroundthe forty one yard line, pop it

(01:22:55):
down. I shouldn't say from thespot of the foul, it's from the
from the spot of the ball, original spot of the ball, and it
will be third and eleven from theforty one yard line. That's seventy yards
and penalties. That is a newpenalty this year. Originally, well last
year, that penalty would have beenfrom the spot of the foul, which
could have made a really big penaltysince that was in the backfield coach Speakman's

(01:23:24):
going to take a time out hereand wants to think this one over one
oh two left here in this secondquarter and let's head down for a four
seasons Federal Credit Unit sideline report.MAC. Very very important to keep this
football and I let Central get thisthing back. Yeah, this is going
to be a very important play callto as well, because we got time
and then you fiel position because Imean best case scenario, we get it

(01:23:47):
and we end up getting some pointson this drive. Worst case scenarios,
we we punt it to them andthey go down there and get a field
goal or a touchdown again. Sothis is, yeah, this is gonna
be a big play right here.So I mean they're fighting hard to fight
on and you know, hey, look on that touchdown they gave up.
You gotta just i mean tippy outthe guys the heck of a ball player

(01:24:09):
and uh, you know he gothe's got a little bit of height thedvantage
on us down here on the fieldthere, Van, Yeah, he does.
It's a little bit. It kindof towers over our dbs. But
I mean, you can't may nothingyou can do about that. Made a
great play. But hey, Imean everybody on the sideline here there's I
mean, they're still upbeat. Ain'tof my hanging heads or whatever. So
I mean, they're always gonna fight. So let's see if we can make

(01:24:29):
something happen to get a first downhere and just you know, either either
score just keep them out to whereyou know, goes locker room in fourteen
to three. So let's see whatwe can do. All right, Thanks
so much, back mccrack in ourfour seasons Federal Credit Union sideline report.
Out of the time out, it'llbe that third and eleven play coming up
here for the Dogs from there ona forty one yard line, and that'll

(01:24:50):
be trips receivers to the left sidefor the Dogs. Gagliano drops back,
throws and incomplete voice of miscommunication thereas Gagliano through it in no man's land
right, Darius Morgan a Central wasthe only person in distance to come up
with that grab. Somebody seemed, and I think they were supposed to zag

(01:25:11):
coachs there on that one. Yeah, that we didn't. He didn't have
much time to throw that ball either. They had a lot of They had
good pressure on us. Fifty sevenseconds left Central awaiting the punt here from
Gagliano, and Central also will getthe football to start the second half.
They lead it right now by eleven, fourteen to three. They gonna have
some more time to work with theball too, Yes they will. They

(01:25:32):
got two time outs left, sothey didn't need a good punt here by
Roman. He gets the snamp, rolls to his right. It's a fate
and Roman chunks it down field ofMiller and the interval and as a flag
fifteen yards, that's gonna be apass interference in a first down coming.
Boys, Central wasn't fooled on it. They had good coverage on Jamari Miller,

(01:25:53):
but they just ran up his backand that's gonna be a pass interference
and a big penalty there. Allthat Central defense accident of Miller. Glad
play boy, you were hoping thatflag was coming because you it needed to
pace fitness. Fifteen yard penalty resultsof the first down there you go.

(01:26:16):
Fifteen yard penalty enough for the firsttown. That's gonna put Opelika in Central
territory to the forty one yard lineof Central. So a big pass interference
penalty against the Red Devil defense.Well, I wasn't thinking fake their coach
were? You did not have Centralfool though they were ready for it,

(01:26:39):
but just made a bad defensive playthere. Fifty seconds left. Fourteen to
three is our score, and Olakabeen a new life here late in this
first half. First and ten atthe Central forty one we're back after this
word from Center state bank, OhPela, I get going for a fake

(01:27:05):
pun and didn't really catch Central napping, but they made a pass interference on
Jamari Miller, and that's given Opelanka first down at the Central forty one
yard line and a breath of anda send sense of new life here with
fifty seconds left in this first half, trailing by eleven here forty fourteen to
three. Rather Dad at the fortyone of Central, Dogs moving around some

(01:27:35):
wide receivers get set. Roman getsa high snap play action. Roman drops
back, throws one deep, tryingto get it to Tolburt and it's called
over. It's got it inside theone. He's got at the one.
Tolburt somehow hung on boy yet rightDarius Morgan and another Central defender on him,
and somehow they hauled in and caughtit at the one queue up the

(01:27:55):
sports center top ten. My goodness, what a catch. Dogs are set
up first and goal at the onewith forty two seconds left. Gagliano hurries
to the line and if they getCentral a time out. I'm not sure
why the official blew it. Idon't I have no idea. Boy,
Gagliano hurried and got up under center. Is this a procedure penalty against Central?

(01:28:24):
What is it? Coach Nicks wassaying it wasn't a catch. I'm
not sure. I don't know, but he can't stop the play. Well,
they do have the ball set now, this will be first and goal
from the ten. The big heavypackage is in and it's Calvin Hugely taking
it right side for they apple likea touchdown. What a play by the
Bulldogs. Jordan Tilbert set it up, Calvin hugely wild cat read it in

(01:28:47):
to the right side and the Dogsare right back in this thing with thirty
four seconds left. Big touchdown, big touchdown, thirty four point five left
on the clock here in this firsthalf, Dogs went for the fake punt,
gotta pass in her fears to givethem new life, and they made

(01:29:08):
it pay. And it was aheck of a gram by j Jordan Tolber
to set the Dogs up for thattouchdown. Hold on the extra point up
and good bye, Will Carroll, and let's put it on the board here
if central fourteen ten our new score, even though the scoreboard operator doesn't want
to put it up there, andthe Dogs are within as we get ready

(01:29:30):
to wind things down here at theend of this first half, thirty four
seconds left, coach, what agut see drive there by this Bulledog team
coach, that was one great catch. You know, he is back to
the ball and he just happened toturn around and there it was. I
tell you you know, Palika feelslike they had another touchdown taking away early
in this game. I want byDrew Gagliano right and uh, you know

(01:29:54):
the replay we've gotten now, Iknow the back judge was adamant that he
dropped it. I guess when hewent to the ground is what we were
here on on some other communications cominginto us. But replay Wig, it
certainly looked like he caught it.But hey, that's old business. Now,
fourteen to ten, Central leads itby four. But what a drive
there by the Bulldogs. And rightnow it's thirty four seconds left. You

(01:30:15):
can't give up a big return here. Don't give Central a chance to add
any more points here, No,absolutely not. The kicking team's got to
do really good job here. Sohere is Opelika getting set. Johnny Sassina
will kick this one off. Centralhas their return unit out. Johnny has

(01:30:38):
it tied up man end over endkick is gonna be caught at the seven
yard line. It will be returnablehere by the Red Devils coverage team down
there, but it thanks a niceplay at the twenty two yard line.
Nice job there by Opelika coming upnumber twenty three, Carson Moss making the
stomp there the Bulldogs, So twentyeight point seven seconds left, and don't

(01:31:00):
think the Central is gonna sit backand kneel this thing and take it into
the locker room. They may junkthis thing seventy yards. It's been that
type of night, aggressive play callingon both sides tonight. Coach speakman with
the fake plint. They have nothad the ball but sixteen snaps it plays

(01:31:23):
Central from their own twenty three yardline. Twenty eight seconds left, and
it will be a run play straightup the middle and an I stopped there
on Zach Simmons for a short pickup. Eighteen seconds. Are gonna let
the clock run. Central's gonna takeit into the locker room here. Well,
I'm surprised at that, Coach McCracken, Yeah, I kind of thought

(01:31:45):
they might. At a regroup. They got a four point lead and Coach
Nicks points to the locker room indisgust. Here he is not happy.
Oh bolths and made the trip overto Phoenix City tonight on their feet,
given their blue dogs around the plause, and boy do they deserve it after
a guts the effort against the numberone team and the stake tonight in my
eyes at least up there right therewith the team Opalika Plate in week one

(01:32:12):
and the Thompson Warriors, they're neckand neck. They're battling for that top
spot of the state. But rightnow at Placa only down by four,
fourteen to ten. When we comeback, we'll talk about this first half
of play, and a bit lateron. We've got band director Will Wagner,
the Opalaca High School Spirit of theSouth Marching Band. He's going to
join us to talk a little marchingband that's coming up on the way next.
We're at the half fourteen ten dogstrailing by four here at Central Phoenix

(01:32:34):
City. We're back here at thehalf, our score Central leading Opalaca fourteen
to ten. Here at the breakbeing raised alongside Coach Spitz, McCracken and
coach we were talking about the statisticswhile we were at the break. Good
band conversation there with band director WillWagner, the Spirit of the South Marching

(01:32:55):
Band on the road here tonight doingtheir tremendous job the Red Devil marching band
currently on the field performing at thismoment. But coach one stands out to
you statistic wise. I though wewere talking about some interesting things in the
passing department for both teams. Well, this is a very strange half.
Again, this is like the AuburnCow game Saturday night, except on a
different kind of menu. Listen tothis band. We had forty snaps.

(01:33:23):
They only had seventeen. Their quarterbackwas five of eight, five of eight
for one hundred and sixty eight yards. Our quarterback, Roman was thirteen excuse
me, he fifteen of nineteen forour first eight yards, so both of

(01:33:48):
'em had the same amount of yards. He only threw eight passes, and
Dagliano through nineteen to tell you thatthe passes that he threw were all money
balls where we threw a lot ofscreens and stuff like that, but we
did throw some good balls. Andthen the running game, we had one

(01:34:10):
hundred yards rushing. They had sixsix yards total rushing. But the big
thing, big plays, they hadfour and we had three. And they
had fourteen points and we had ten. But here's another thing that hurt us.
Van eighty five yards and penalties andthey had fifty. So that's your

(01:34:34):
game kind of that. We misseda field goal which would have made it
fourteen to thirteen. But third downconversions two for four, oh for two,
just about equal, and we hadnine first downs. They only had
two first downs. But when theirplays that they ran established more yardage than

(01:34:58):
our plays, that's basically I don'tknow where else to give you the everyday
guy that well, you know, going back at that first half, coach
Opelika had an opportunity to not onlytake the Opelika did take the three nothing
lead. Opelika gotten down and thoughtthey had a touchdown. Roman I rolled
to his right right at the goalline and through it did your dru Gangliano

(01:35:19):
looked like a catch is still aquestionable call here? Open like a settled
for the three there and ended upcoming back. And we saw Central on
the first play from scrimmage. Let'sgive the defense credit out of the gate,
coach, because right out of thegate it was Andrew Alford who took
a shot, got a forty nineyard throw to Cam Coleman. But the
defense ended up standing tall on thatopening drive there by Central, and I

(01:35:43):
did and made Central settle for afield goal attempt which was no good and
Opelika had that three nothing lead, and then it was Central taking a seven
to three lead on a pass toCam Coleman and then it ended up being
a another Touchdad cam Coleman and DylanUpshall had the first touchdown cam Coleman with

(01:36:04):
a second touchdown, so I hadthose flip flop and Central had the fourteen
to three lead. And then latethere in the first half, Ope Michael
was able to get down and punchit in Calvin hugely running it from one
yard out after just an outstanding grabby Joeldern Jordan Talbot on a long third
down play. And that is thatlast five minutes of the first half.

(01:36:28):
We won that and so let's headdown. We got Mac standing by with
coach Speakman here in just a fewmoments, Mac, when you get ready,
let us know he's talking to anofficial right now on the field.
But the Open Lica football team startingto head out, and then we'll get
Mac McCracken catching up with Coach Speakmanor a halftime visit with Coach Speakman.
Is Bronty by our friends and Hundayof Auburn. Hunday of Auburn, proud

(01:36:51):
sponsor of Opeaca Bulldog football. Theysell cars made in the state of Alabama,
and they got America's best warranty.Hunday of Auburn. Up like a
road in Auburn. All right, back, all right, coach Pegman.
Down by four to central, Whatare the positives on the first half?
Running game has been good and we'vemade some big plays on these guys.
We just you know, if wedon't give up big plays, then this

(01:37:11):
thing is at least ten nothing, fourteen nothing if we don't get the guy
that overturned that call down there, which was not a very good call by
the way. So anyway, youknow, we gotta fix those deep balls
that's been that's happened every game.So we got to get that fixed and
just keep this thing close and tryto run these football these guys, And
I know what big play right therebefore house to take us to your process
of of the fake punt. Greatcall and it worked out perfect. Yeah.

(01:37:32):
Well, we saw on film atnumber eleven over here just stands there
on points, so you know,we knew we could take a shot at
him. In fifty seven seconds leftin the half. You figure, worst
case they get it at midfield andmaybe we can hold on and keep that
thing. And you know that wasa huge play obviously. All right,
Coach Pegman, let's go get thesecond. He'll get it, all right,
that's coach Peakman. We're back mccrackand that halftime visit brought you by
our friends at Hunt Day of Auburnat the break right now fourteen to ten,

(01:37:57):
or take our final halftime break andcome back and get you ready for
the second half after this time outand you're listening open like a bulldog football

Side Circle and albred In the MedicalArts Center one twenty one North twentieth Street
in Opalika. Getting us ready forour third quarter of play, and it
will be central Phoenix City getting thefootball leading by four fourteen ten is our
halftime score. Coach real quick yourkeys for the second half. I know

(01:38:45):
the first five minutes of this halfwill be big. The thing on my
mind is not given Phoenix City thebig plays, the big pass plays,
because they completed eight five of eightwere one hundred and sixty eight yards.
You know, every time they chuckthe ball, they make big yard and
so hey, let's cut that outVan and then let's try to score at

(01:39:09):
least a couple. We've been runningthe ball, Weale, we've been protecting
Wale and from it. But theyhadn't had the ball, but seventeen snaps
we've had it forty. Maybe thatanswers the question. All right, well,
the City of Opelika, proud supporters, open like a bulldog football and
may your Gary Fuller proud supporters, and open like a bulldogs go dogs from
the City of Opelaca. And there'sour kick from seeing it will be returnable

(01:39:35):
here by or central Phoenix City. They'll get it close to the thirty yard
line there. From Johnny Sassina ateleven fifty one, we're underway down the
third corner of play. Brought toyou by tallykon Farmers co Op fall Us
here hunting is near and that's whyyou need to stop in and shop at
your local co op. Tally KhanFarmers co Op located Highway fourteen in Nola,

(01:39:57):
Sauga and Elmore County in with Temka, Rickave and Howel was in on
that tackle. Good kickoff coverage allright, first and ten four of the
Red Devils. They'll start from lookslike the thirty one yard line. First
and ten play. It will bea run play. Nice job, a
nice play in the hole there bythe Bulldogs defense coming up and making a

(01:40:20):
really nice stomp there in the holewas Jamarve and Jenkins the linebacker coming up,
and that'll be a yard loss ofthe play back to the thirty yard
line. We're just a second halfhere in a tight one. Central leads
by four fourteen ten. I needto keep them back down. To keep

(01:40:43):
them back down, offering out ofthe shotgun. Two receivers to the right
side, sink receiver left, andhe's got two backs of the backfield.
He'll play action drops back pressure camethey missed a hole in the backfield.
He'll jump it out to the tothe run backfield right back to the line
of scrimmage. Jackson Kilcrease makes thestop on Zach Simmons, and this is

(01:41:04):
gonna be third down and right atten, so no gain on the play.
It will be actually be third andeleven as they've got a ball marked
at the twenty nine and right atthe thirty yard line. Huge play,
right, he says, a bigone. Two receivers stacked to the right

(01:41:25):
side, offered out of the shotgun crush, the snap drops back,
He looks right the whole way, tries to dump it off, goes deep
and a comeback round and it isincomplete. He was out of bounds at
the forty five yard line. Goodjob, good job, Dave. I
thought he was coming in and callingit complete there for a moment, but
it was incomplete. Fourth down anda nice job by this Opalika defense coming

(01:41:49):
in with another big stop. MacMcCracken with a fourth seasons Federal Credit Union
sideline report. Mac, want agood play there by that defense. That's
exactly what we wanted. Three andout, all right, Now, let's
get something off, hey, let'sget something offensively here, good drive and
get some points. Jamari Miller standsback and around the thirty seven yard line
to await this punt. It's onlyTheir second punt punter is Colin Freyberg,

(01:42:14):
who stands at the sixteen awaiting thissnap. Snap to the right. Got
it away quickly and it will behauled in and fair catch called for at
the forty two yard line. Greatjob there by Jamari Miller to hang on.
They'll sell mark him Maxley back atthe forty one yard line. That's
where Opelika will start from there onforty one. Pretty good field position,

(01:42:36):
coach mccracking the way you already tostart in the second half. You get
the three and out and you getthe football back exactly. We got to
get points now, first five minutesof the third quarter crucial. They didn't
get there. There's in so let'sdo it. Dogs, come on,

(01:42:57):
Gagliano out of the ship's on theforty one yard line. Ten twenty two
third quarter throw out. Jamari Millerhere near side. He's got a seam
and he has hit late out ofbounds at the forty seven yard line.
No flag or that could have beencould have been called as that contact was
made well into the wide on thesidelines, but it was here on the
central sign line, so no flag, but a good pickup though nevertheless,

(01:43:20):
to the forty seven yard line. It's going to be a six yard pickup
and it will be good. Isee more like a seven yard pickup up
to the forty eight yard line.Gagliano quick handoff Calvin hugely keeping those feet
moving across midfield hugely. Is downto the forty nine yard line of Central.

(01:43:43):
That's gonna be really close to anOPAL like a first down. Ugly
over and that is enough for anOPAL like a first down a Lambert transferred
storage first down. Good job, man, good job. Keep in the
Central territory down at the let's seewhere they've got the ball marked. They've

(01:44:05):
got the ball marked at the centralforty eight. So first and ten Opa
Liiken offense continues to move. Tenminutes left, third quarter, fourteen ten
Central Dog football at the forty eighthCentral play action, Roman quick throw to
Jamari. He's got it across theforty five and he's out of bounds close

(01:44:26):
to the forty three yard line. That's going to be close to a five
yard pick up on a quick throwand catch, and this will be a
second of the yard. Yeah, second out of five coming up. Nine
forty left. Third quarter, tworeceivers left single receiver to the right side,
play action, other quick throw, same play, and Jamari made a
man miss and he tiptoed the sidelines. I believe they're gonna say he's out

(01:44:49):
of bounds and around the forty yardline for a three yard pick up or
maybe the forty one, so justtwo yards. This will be up three
our third about two and a half. They want to win this game.
This is four down territory right here. Two receivers to the left. Javan

(01:45:09):
Williams is the tailback to the leftof Gagliano. Gagliano hard count. Now
will changes play at the line ofscribbage, one receiver to the right side.
Gagliano gets the snap, hands itto Williams. Williams tiptoes in the
hole and nice gain down close tothe thirty seven yard line. He's got
enough of the Bulldog first down,a Lambert transfer and storage first down,
so that will move the chains downto the thirty seven yard line. Great

(01:45:32):
job by that offensive line. Ninetwenty left in the third quarter, fourteen
ten or score Central with the leadby four and the Dogs on the move.
Thomas Efferson, Kilchris Fears and Carterup front. Slade Clayton in there
at h back. He moves tothe right side, Williams remains in there
at tailback. Williams gets the handoffice swallowed up, this time in the

(01:45:55):
backfield for a loss of three backto the forty yard line. Are wen't
black anybody that time? So thathandoff did not have the red Devil's fool
there. Williams checks back in theball game, and so does Calvin Hughley,
who will relieve Javian Williams. Eightforty three and a running clock here
in the third quarter, Dogs takingtheir time. Blay clocked down to eighteen,

(01:46:19):
down to seventeen. Gagliano back tothe line of scribbage here on the
second down in thirteen. Play getsthe snap play action. Gagliano throws across
and just overshot his intended wide awnthat was intended for Bennett Young across the

(01:46:39):
middle, incomplete, gonna be thirddown in thirteen coming up here for the
Bulldogs. Gotta have you, gottado better on first dawn of every Young
eight twenty two clocks stopped after thatincomplete pass, fourteen ten hour score and

(01:47:02):
the Dogs at the central forty yardline trying to convert this third and long
Gagliano out of the shot gun. They'll move Drew Gagliano to the right.
Now trips to the right. Gaglianosteps back, throws to Gagliano. Drew's
guide it at the thirty five yardline, but he has pushed down out
of bounds at the thirty five yardline. One man to beat and that

(01:47:25):
guy made the tackle. Unfortunately, fourth down and eight coming up here four
the Dogs at the thirty five yardline of Central offense, staying foot getting
the signals in from coach Speakman andcompany on the sidelines at the thirty five

(01:47:45):
yard line of Central, down byfour, needing to convert a fourth down
at the Red Devil thirty five, saying four. Mason the other side.
Gagliano looks back, pump things, wants to take a shot deep towards the
inside, going for Williams. Hewas bumped, but it's overshot. It
incomplete and the Dogs turn it overon downs Unable to convert on that fourth

(01:48:09):
down, went to the same play. Coach went deep on that one at
that time. The Red Devils didnot bite, and pretty good coverage on
Jamari Miller. This is this We'vehad nine snaps. They've had three.
We got no coins seven thirty tworemaining and turnover on down. Central will

(01:48:31):
take over on their own thirty yardline where there's defensive opal like as played
really good to over and a half. I hope we can have another good
one right here. Two receivers tothe right side offered gets the snap,
throws here near sign bounced it upthere. It's incomplete, intended for Daling
Upshaw second down, so this willbring up second down to ten. He's

(01:48:54):
one of three throwing the ball.Good to see him come out a little
rusty here. Yeah, it's hadsome miscommunication tonight, of course. You
know, new quarterback, first yearover here at Central, and we have
seen some great throws, some dandies. Oh they've got big eight match stuck
with this little guy down here. That's we got a safety back here there

(01:49:14):
in too deep. Fourteen tenth Centralwith the four pars lead second down and
ten, and it will be arun play and the Dogs are there at
the thirty five yard line to stophim for no game. Jamarvey and Jenkins
again comes in from that linebacker spotto help out Altry and those big guys
up there, including Jakai lightfoot ordown seven ten left here in the third

(01:49:38):
quarter, and a third and tenagain coming up here for the central offense.
This time quarterback Offer checks the sidelines, trying to change his play up.
Cam Coleman lines up to the leftside, got to get good pressure,
trips here to the near side, and cornerback Offer drops back pressure,

(01:49:58):
come steps up in the pocket, dumps it off, overshot his man at
the forty three yard line. Thepressure was coming. They were on his
back and he had to dump itaway early. Credit that one to the
defensive line causing the pressure on Offered, and another stop against the central offense,
and the Dogs will get the footballback with six forty Around six forty

(01:50:18):
left of the third quarter, oneto four. Mary Smiley was causing that
pressure too. I'm sure we'd holdthese guys up a little bit better on
these punts where he can get up, he can run this thing back.
It's kick fair catch, kick, fair catch. They got everybody in tight.

(01:50:40):
We are to be holding everybody up. Let's see if the Dogs can
get a return here and fair catchcalled for that time. Good coverage down
there at the thirty six yard line. No chance for a return that time
as Jamari had to call the faircatch. But no role in your coach.
You made the catch and the Dogsoffense comes back out. Just gotta
get some points on the board hereOpel Mike has no trouble moving the football,

(01:51:00):
coach, But it's been the playsthat kind of put them behind the
chains and the penalties that have kindof killed these drives for the Dogs.
And you go back and look atbig plays, a run over ten yards
and a pass over fifteen yards. We hadn't had but three of those in
the first half. We've had somegood plays and we're playing some good football,

(01:51:21):
but we got to got to putit across the goal line. Two
receivers left, a single receiver tothe right side. Gaglian on the offense,
back out, trailing by four herefourteen ten. Gagliano hands the ball
off. Calvin's got a good holeleft side, stays on his feet,
tries to bounce it outside and that'swhen Central closes down quickly on him and

(01:51:42):
it's a pickup around three yards. As Calvin carried it up close to the
thirty eight yard line, it's gonnabe a second and seven coming up.
Ashton read on the stop for theRed Devils. Six thirteen running clock here
in this third quarter, brought toyou by Tally Khan Farmers co Op.
Second and seven for the Bulldogs, for they're on thirty eight two wide outs

(01:52:05):
right, single receiver here to thenear side. Agliano gets the snamp blay
action quick throw and did he catchit? No, trapped it at the
forty yard line. It was intendedfor number three. Jamari Miller official time
out. I gotta be a heattime out with five fifty two left here

(01:52:26):
in the third quarter, third andseven for the Dogs. When we come
back. You're listening to Bulldog footballhere on the kicker tired eight seventy seven
best time prices for eight seven threeout of the time out, it will

(01:52:59):
be open. I facing a thirdand seven Dogs from their own thirty eight
yard line and needing to convert tokeep this drive going open like a trailing
by four fourteen to ten and one. Has been a tight, hard fought
game here in Phoenix City tonight, eighty first meeting between these two teams.

(01:53:20):
Coach and boy, we wanted afootball game, and we certainly have gotten
one tonight, haven't we. Yeah, we didn't go when we when we
used to play Central, it waswhoa man? It was man versus man.
Third down and seven out of thistime out, we'll see what coach
speakman in the offense has drawn uphere, they'll line up trips, receivers

(01:53:42):
to the right, single receiver hereto the near side. Receiver here to
the near side is Brody Jones. He's kind of been quiet here in the
second half. Yeah, Agliano dropsback, rolls to his right, pressured,
and there comes a flag for holding. Throws back across the field and
it is incomplete. So I knowcoach Nicks will come in and decline this.

(01:54:03):
That will bring up fourth down andthe Dogs will have to punt.
So tough offensive series they're unable toconvert and Central we'll get the football back
fourteen at ten Red Devil's offense.Boys been held in check here in the

(01:54:25):
second half of Boy, they're dangerousand you don't want to keep giving them
opportunities. Dog fans, don't weget hearing Spine and rehab your trust At
Hometown Chiropractice Since nineteen eighty one, they blend the art of chiropractic adjustments and
physical therapy with their experienced medical teamto create a unique treatment plan. Taylor,
did you call hearing, Spine andRehab for an appointment today? Seven

(01:54:45):
four, five fifty three twenty onefive forty five left Dogs will have to
punt it from their own thirty eightyard line. Gagliano, the quarterback,
does drop back. I don't thinkyou're going to see a fake year.
Gagliano gets the snap to his right, puts a high, booming, hanging
punt at the thirty five, takesa good roll and it's gonna go inside

(01:55:10):
the twenty five and get all theway down to around the twenty three yard
line. And that's a really goodpunt there by Roman. Gaglot me around
a thirty nine yard punt by Gagliano. Coach, how about a turnover right
here? Boys, boy, wehadn't had an interset, hadn't been a
turnover tonight, not one. Ifyou're wondering about Alfred's turnovers, he does

(01:55:33):
have one interception on the season, and I couldn't think a better time for
number two than right here. Yep. Central will start from their own keep
that pressure up on that quarter. They marked it at the twenty four,
so we'll start from his own twentyfour yard line, offered with two receivers

(01:55:53):
near sign Singer receiver with the highside, and he's pressured, avoids the
rush, throws and it's incomplete. But boy, again, nice pressure by
Amari Smiley breathing down on the quarterbackforced another Eric throw and it's second down
and ten. He's one of fivethrowing in this half. And they have
a minus one yard rushing five nineteenleft in our third quarter, fourteen ten.

(01:56:17):
Still our score was Central up byfour. They got two yards of
total offense. Red Devils with thefootball. It will be second down and
ten from their own twenty four yardline. I feel a turnovercoming coming back
to the shotgun formation, trying tohelp out block here. You'd imagine no
handoff run play and Amari Smiley thereswallows up Zach Simmons right at the line

(01:56:41):
of scrimmage. He gets a latepush. No whistle was blown, and
the pile moves. That foot movesthe pile up to around the thirty yard
Line's gonna get close to five yardsmaybe six on that play will be third
and five coming up here for Central. Boy, credit them for the lake
push there. That's gonna be aquick he's gonna chunk this four forty seven

(01:57:05):
o'clock running. Two receivers here tothe nearest side. Two receivers either side.
The defensive line shifting around there,Big Jakin Lightfoot in there to tackle
Lamari Smiley, Malik Aultry, andover on the far side is Jackson Kilcrease

(01:57:26):
showing pressure and the flag comes in. What's that that's against central? Yes,
yes it is. That's gonna bea five yard penalty. That's gonna
back up the Red Devils. Thirdand ten, Boy, that shift may
I got him there. Third Wow, that's gonna be a third and ten
now blotched out before twenty seven left. Come on, guys, come on,

(01:57:48):
pressure. Jordan Stintson checks in theball game four of the Bulldogs here
on this third down. Play allthat defensive line, Jackson, light Foot,
Aultrey and Smile do your job.Come on. Two receivers either side
here for the Red Devils. Onthird and ten, Alfred drops backs,
got all day throws and it isTipton nearly intercepted, and it was into

(01:58:12):
the hands of the receiver from theRed Devils who hauled it in at the
forty two yard line. My goodness, it was tipped and right into Dylan
Gentry's hands at the forty two yardline. Boy, that was just a
really really flukey play. He cardit, he did, Yeah, he
caught it at the forty two.It was off the Opelika player into the

(01:58:34):
central receiver's hands. So Gentry comesup with it and he converts the first
down for the Red Devils. Mygoodness, up to the forty two yard
line. You hope that play didn'tcome back to bite you. Play action,
Alfred wants to take a shot andhe overshot everybody. Only people were

(01:58:55):
there was two bulldogs and that wasin Devin Dixon territory. Almost hauled it
in like a punt. So we'veseen Alfred being confused with his receivers a
few times tonight. And another onethere at second and ten Central coming up
from their own forty two or threefifty six to play here in the third,
Yes, fourteen ten our score Centralleading by four and with the football

(01:59:21):
from their only two yard lot, three fifty six to go here in the
third. Thank you making mistake pressuretwo receivers to the left, two backs
in the backfield. It's a handoffand had nice job there. By that
dog defense again, only a oneyard pick up as Amari Smiley was there,
Malik Autry was there, and sowas Juti lightfoot En one third and

(01:59:46):
nine also playing some defensive end todayas well. J Marvey and Jenkins has
crept up there playing a little end. Here's here's a third nine or a
big play another third down to eitherside for quarterback. Andrew offered from his
own forty two and Central jumped againand they're gonna let the play go and

(02:00:11):
it's incomplete. Did they call thefalse start? And I believe they did.
They blew the whistle, but theylet the play go. I don't
think they ever called a coach.I don't think they blew a whistle.
I didn't hear a whistle. Well, well, like I thought it was
false start, but they let theplay go. It's fourth down. Here's
the putting unit from Central, Colinfreebird back out to punt it away.

(02:00:31):
Jamari Miller is gonna stand around histwenty yard line waiting for this punt.
Well, another outstanding job by thisdog defense wist that could hold that center
up after he snaps the ball threefourteen left. Dog's gonna put the return
on shank this one. Boy,he's shanked it. Get out of the

(02:00:54):
way, let it go. Ohpoint takes a big central role though,
and it's gonna be down to thetwenty four yard line. Boy, it
hung up there for a while,I thought he but he got a little
action on it on the roll andwith three o two left, the Bulldogs
will come back out. They'll haveit from there on twenty three is where
they have it marked down, andit will be first in ten four the

(02:01:15):
Bulldogs. When the fully resumes.Dog fans. Bubba's Medicine Shop just what
the doctor ordered, locally owned andoperated. Visit Bubba's Medicine Shop and let
them take care of you. Locatedalong Second Avenue in Opelanka, no score
so far for either side. Herein the second half, fourteen ten center
with the lead, Opelika back withthe football now first and ten from there

(02:01:39):
on twenty three yard line. We'vegot to make a big place somewhere along
here. Yeah, aguy, Iknow two receivers near side. Singer receiver
right goes to the run game andCalvin's wrapped up in the backfield. Back
to the twenty yard line. Afour yard loss that just kills this van

(02:02:00):
a loss of three rather back tothe twenty. Well, I continues to
run. Now two forty one leftin the third and a second and thirteen
coming up for the Dogs. Theygot that field position back on that weird
old play well for three, tuckingto thirteen from the twenty eight two wide
outs again left side singer receiver right. Now, Miller goes in motion from

(02:02:24):
right to left. Other run playCalvin hugely and hugely, and I spin
move and gets up close to thetwenty five yard line. Well, he
was close to breaking that one.He gets five yards back and this will
set up a round a third andnine coming up here for the Dogs on
third and eight. Two oh threeleft here in this third quarter, and

(02:02:46):
the clock continues to run four pointgame against Central with the lead, and
Opelika, now facing a third downthird and eight for the Dogs from their
own twenty five yard line, tripsright, single receiver left, throwing a
screen out to Miller. He's gotthe sidelines. Miller's got the first down.

(02:03:06):
He's pushed out of bounds at thethirty four yard line, and that's
enough for the Bulldog first down.A Lambett transfer and storage first down Boy
gangly Io's zipping that ball tonight andhe got it over to Jamari Miller really
quick, and Miller wasted no timegetting up the sidelines for he first.

(02:03:30):
That was a pick up up tothe thirty four yard line. Here's a
toss play left side and Javan Williamsbreaks a couple of tackles. There's a
flag on the play here on theDogs. As the pile continues to push
forward up to the thirty six maybethe thirty seven yard line, that's gonna
be a hold And looks like thatguy open like called the wide receiver here

(02:03:54):
away away from the play and justno reason, no reason to be holding
there on that play. Take it'son Brody Jones. Well, unfortunately it's
gonna be against Opalaika. And itjust was one of those plays you just
didn't need to. It wasn't anywherearound. You didn't need to, didn't
need to have that extra tub.One twenty four left in our third quarter,

(02:04:20):
and a big ten yard penalty willput the Dogs back to the twenty
four yard line. All right, they'll replay first down for the penalty.
First twenty Dogs from their own twentyfour yard line. One seventeen left in

(02:04:44):
our third quarter, Gagliano drops backand shot it just in front of Jordan
Tolbert at the thirty yard line.Incomplete second down coming up here for the
dollars. It down flock stopped forthat incomplete pass with one ten left.

(02:05:05):
Oh my god, my mum.Lest Paul's ten seconds for station identification No
k R Auburn over like listen withiHeart Radio number one for music radio and
podcasting all in one apppen online,Lee County's fist Country five seven point seven
second out in twenty for the Dogscoming up from their own twenty five yard

(02:05:30):
line, and here's a hand offto Calvin hugely, and he's gonna be
wrapped up and bottle yard and loston the play. Calvin just could not
get anything going as the defenders wereshooting back there in the backfield on that.
But it'll be third and long undera minute clock winding down here in
this third quarter. Khalil Alien numberninety nine, big fella back there in
the backfield, tripping up Calvin hugelyon that one. And this will be

(02:05:57):
a third and twenty one. Notmany in the playbook for a third and
twenty one. Coach R S mostsir, two receivers to the right,
singer receiver to the left Sidegliano dropsback, wants to set up, and
a flag on the play, aprocedure penalty that will go against opal Laika,
and it's going to be a thirdand twenty six coming up here for

(02:06:18):
the Dogs. Fifteen yards and penaltiessecond half, five twenty five seconds left
and another five yard penalty. Twentyfive yards and penalties. Excuse me in

(02:06:39):
the second half, yes, sir, okay, twenty five. They've got
five thirty twenty six eighteen So thirdand twenty six ball now spotted from the
eighteen yard line. Dogs when they'reon eighteen, trailing by four here fourteen
ten, fifteen seconds on a runningclock. Here Gagliano drops back. They'd
pass here near side, going upfor it incomplete near midfield. That was

(02:07:01):
intended for Bennett Young right at midfield, and it is incomplete. Fourth down
plunk stout was seven point five andnow central we're gonna be set up a
really good field position and offense. It's been very, very stagnant, and
you just don't want to wake thissleeping giant tail end of the ball game.

(02:07:21):
Seven point five left on the clockhere and Gagliano is going to be
at the four yard line to puntthis one away. Good snap. Gagliano
two is right, another good puntand that one bounces out of bounds at
the forty four yard line. Soa good punt there by Roman and that

(02:07:44):
quarter at least be around a thirtysix yard punt, but still a Red
Devil's a pretty good field position intothe third quarter, though, we head
to the fourth in a four pointgame, fourteen ten Central with the lead.
You listen to the Bulldog football hereon the kick getting set to start

(02:08:07):
your fourth quarter of play here fromGarrett Harrison's Stadium, Trey Wick Field.
It's a fourteen tenth Central Red Devillead. As we get ready to start
this fourth quarter, and our fourthquarter is brought to you by Kim Dry
of East Alabama, and it willbe Central with the football to start close
to midfield for their own forty threeyard line. Offord gets the stamp hands

(02:08:28):
off in the backfield and a nicejob there by that run defense holding up
Zach Simmons. That's Amari Smiling andcompany. And that's a pickup of only
one up to the forty four yardline. Great job, great job defence,
I'll tell you what. Smiling andAuctor and lightfoot in Jackson, they're

(02:08:48):
doing a job for us. Yeah, they're definitely the defensive players of the
game, all of them up there. Eleven thirty seven left in our ball
game, Central with a four pointlead, fourteen to ten as we play
here in Phoenix City. Two receiverseither side for Alfred pressure showing Bulldogs and
they move. Yes, sir, they did five yard penalty. That'll back

(02:09:09):
them up. Joy when lose ordrawn tonight, Bulldog fans, this group
that traveled over here tonight, theyhave played their tails off when just about
nobody around the area gave them ashot and even be in this game at
this point. Nine eleven twenty sevenleft fourteen ten. Our score second down

(02:09:35):
at fourteen now Central stamp it fromtheir own thirty nine offer checks the sideline.
Two receivers either side, sevens thetailback. I watched this deep throw.
They have not taken a shot lately, but that's been because of the
pressure of this defense. They'll door draw play and nice jobs staying at
home by the Bulldogs, not lettingit be too big of a play.

(02:09:58):
Still a pretty good chunk by Simmonsas he carries it up close to the
forty eight yard line for around aeight yard nine yard pickup dependent on this
final spot here, so it'll bea third in five. J Marvey and
Jenkins makes the stop for the Bulldogsbig third and five near midfield from the

(02:10:18):
forty eight Central they'll give it offrun play first down and more across the
forty and just tripped up at thethirty seven yard line. That was a
touchdown saving stop there by the Bulldogscoming up was Carset Mass number twenty three.
He made a shoe lace tackle onZach Simmons and just saved a score.

(02:10:39):
Oh that was a huge play rightthere. We could have got a
ball back. Central getting ready tosnap it from their thirty eight yard line,
trying to keep the Dogs on theirtoes. And there's a stoppage in
play and there's a procedure penalty againagainst Central. Good good another one as
the white hat comes in five fivepenalty. So ten thirty nine left a

(02:11:07):
five five yard penalty again against Centraland this will back him up to their
forty three yard line. They haveturnover. Come on, boys, somebody's
got up in the zone and makethem big play over there. Now,
come on Central at open like aforty three yard line first and fifteen after

(02:11:28):
that penalty, here's a throw nearside. It is hauled in and caught
by Upshaw and he's brought down atthe thirty yard line. And that's gonna
be close to a first down,a thirteen yard pickup. Corvante White on
the stop, get him for threeyards, put it up for a bread
So ten sixteen left and Central onthe move now and threatening. That's a

(02:11:52):
big play. We've been been waiting, coach, We've been waiting on a
turnover something. They've got three bigplays now and we have a zero two
receivers right and a single receiver hereto the near side. Two backs of
the backfield here for cornerback offered playaction, throws out to his wide receiver,

(02:12:13):
who's got it inside the twenty fivedown to the twenty four yard line.
Just a four yard pickup as goodas Jacob Tenny comes up with the
reception. Four So Tenny comes upwith it, Carson Moss makes the stop.
This will be a second down atseven second and eight thirty left.

(02:12:39):
You gotta gotta stop Central here comeon, come on, trips to the
left side, offered drops, backthrows and it is hauled in and caught.
Nice tackle though at the twenty oneyard line by kick Kavian King who
makes the stop. And that playwas good for five yards but could have

(02:13:01):
been a lot more. But agreat tackle there by Kavon King to make
a setting up a third dead andthree third down down at the twenty one
yard line of Oka Laika. That'swhere Central has the football, third and
three trips receivers to run. Theymoved again as they did another five yard

(02:13:22):
penalty. Coach last year. IfI remember right, Central had well in
h two hundred yards of their center. If you remember, their center was
really bad about snapping. Mac hasto feel on the sidelines fired up.
They're gonna be fired up here.Big third down right here, Yeah,

(02:13:43):
this is big night. McCracken's sidelinereports brought you by four seasons Federal Credit
Union. Mac, it's been quitecrazy. He hadn't been able to catch
you up with you quite as muchas we'd like to. We'll get to
you. They had converted on theirlast three third downs fourteen ten our game.
Right now, eight thirty six fourthcorner. Here's a big third down
for the Red Devils. Handoff insideto Simmons. He's gotten the first down

(02:14:05):
inside of fifteen down to the fourteen. Boy. They have not been able
to go to that run game toomuch, but that time they caught some
of the big fellows from Opelika outon the third and long. Yeah,
and we're able to convert. Well, we got to hold him to a
field goal down to the fifteen yardline with eight eighteen left offered, hard

(02:14:33):
count play action. Pressure comes, rolls to his left and gets it away
and it is incomplete. He overshoteverybody and threw it out the back of
the end zone. So the clockis stopped with eight oh four left,
fourteen ten against Central with a fourpoint lead and threatening at the open like
a fifteen yard line. Will besecond down and ten coming up here for

(02:14:56):
Central. This is this is thelongest they've had the ball as far as
plays go. Now, second downin ten for the Red Devils. Two
receivers right, two receivers to theleft side against Zach Simmons, the tail
back to the left of Offord, shotgun stamp. They'll give it a Simmons

(02:15:20):
again, another big hole and Simmonsis inside the ten and he's down around
the eight yard line, and thiswill set up a third down. In
short, they're running right up thetubes on its veil. Some of the
big fellas had been out, nowthey checked back in. We see all
three and some of those guys comeback in that have been getting a break

(02:15:41):
on the sidelines, and I thinkit was about time to call the troops
back in. But there is atime out on the field, and the
clock continues to run. With thetime out here on the field, they're
gonna have to get that clock situationfixed here, but we'll take the time
out with them. Here seven totwenty four left. You're listening to Bulldogs
football. Here on the kicker tonethrows and it is called and knocked away.

(02:16:03):
A nice defensive play there for theBulldogs. Out of this time out
and it is incomplete, and herecomes a field goal unit in for the
Red Devils that was knocked away bycord Ingram nicely there all the third down
A huge play. We're gonna saythat's gonna be one of the many but
great defensive plays of the game.Brought to you by Western Sizzling Hungry for

(02:16:24):
a State go to Western sizzling stickhouseand uncle like. So here is a
very important field goal attempt here bycentral stat from the tin and the kick
is up and the kick is nogood. He missed it to the right.
Another great job by this defense comingup with a huge stand and boy,

(02:16:45):
the Bulldog crowd is on their feetand the coaches are on the field,
and the five of these defensive playersis they come off. Another huge
stop by the Bulldogs coach mccrackett. That was incredible. Man, left footed
kicker Yank did just like one ofmy drives out on the at the golf
course. That was I was justfixing to tall you Van. We had

(02:17:09):
to hold into at least a fieldgoal. Ben, but don't break.
That's it was the model on thatdrive right there. Ben, but don't
break. And we've got to wegot to do something now with the football.
Seven thirty one the Dogs back withit only down by four. Was
seven thirty one left in our ballgame. Dogs from their own twenty yard
line. Gagliano gets the snap. Here's a pretty good hole right side.

(02:17:33):
This is Williams with the carry acrossthe twenty five and Williams up close to
the twenty eight yard line and Ipick up on the player close to eight
yards before Ashton Reid comes in.It makes the stop for the Red Devils.
Good job, good blocking by thatleft side, by the right side,
excuse me, second down in two, seven ten left here in our
ball game. Fierce Carter and Millerand kill Chris. Good job. Second

(02:17:56):
down in two here were the Bulldogscome on for us. Gagliano changes play
at the line of scrimmage, looksto the left, Dogs taking their time
five on the play, clocked downto four. Gagliano gets the snap,
run play again, Williams bounces itoutside left side two to three. Flags

(02:18:18):
come in again up to around thethirty one yard line, and again in
the indication that this may be ahold against Opalikas and penalties and that's one
hundred and twenty yards and penalties.Oh goodness. So that's gonna be a
ten yard penalty that will negate thatbig run by cow or by Javion,

(02:18:41):
and that will back things up withsix forty one left, and this is
gonna bring up a second down andabout twelve, so it'll be around second
down and twelve coming up here forover like a second and thirteen, but
six forty one left. See ifthe Donalds can get it right back here.

(02:19:01):
Gagliano drops back out of the shotgunformation, so he'll snap it from
his own eighteen yard line, quickhandoff here to Williams and he is wrapped
up in the backfield and now bethird and long. Boy, those penalties
shooting the dogs in the foot.Rix Cameron on the stop for central clock

(02:19:24):
running with six sixteen left, andyou don't want to have to punt it
back here, you know, onthis side of the field with quit getting
good yardage on our running game. That's what's hurt us here the last two
three times we've had the ball.So miscommunication here. Gagliano will move Bennett
Young from right and get him offthe field, so he leaves with trips

(02:19:48):
receivers to the left side. Gaglianorolls to his left stop steps up in
the pocket. Gagliano in trouble, scrambles for it. Now we'll stop stutter
step at the twenty, spends hisway up at the twenty one, and
he's gonna be brought down. GangLino picked up three yards when that Polat
broke down, but it's gonna befourth down and Alopelika is gonna have to
punt it right back to Central. So the offense stalling after the holding penalty,

(02:20:16):
and we got a heat time outon the field. Five twenty six
left here in our ball game, fourteen ten and our score Central with the
lead and the Dogs punting it backwhen we come back. Alopelika's offense and
Central's offense both have not done muchhere in this second half, and we

(02:20:37):
keep our same score. Now wehad at halftime fourteen to ten with five
to thirty four left in the ballgame. The only problem is the Dogs
needs some points trailing by four andforced now to punt it back to Central
here with five thirty four left inour ball game. Coach, we're approaching.
You're a very important last five minutesof the game, and right now
Dogs defense is gonna have to comeback out and get a stop open like

(02:21:01):
a snapping it from their own eighteenyard line. Gagliano stands at around the
seven to punt this one away endover end. Let's take a big role
here and it gets a good roleand it rolls to the forty two yard
line. So good punt. TherebyGagliano around a forty yard punt and central

(02:21:22):
come back out and see if thisdefense it was the run game last time
out, coaching got the big chunkplays. That was Zach Simmons on those
draw plays. And still the passinggame has been pretty quiet. Let's see
if the Dolls can hold these bigreceivers in check. They're five or thirteen
throwing the ball and the only bigplay they had was that freaky play.

(02:21:43):
Yeah, the tip play from bothlike a defender. You're right, two
backs of the backfield with quarterback Andrewoffered two receivers right and a receiver here
at the near side. And thattime in the backfield wrapping up the ball
carrier was number ninety nine Jakai Lightfoot. He met Zach Simmons and he got
the hand off a ten yard lossback to the forty yard line. Well,

(02:22:05):
what a play, great job byLightfoot, second and twelve. As
we approach the five minute mark herein the ball game, can we get
a turnover? Well, I tellyou I've been waiting on that fumble to
scoop and score the inner section.Coach, finish this storybook ending tonight,
and we could just have this inyou know, read it for a bedtime
story to our kids one day. It'd be nice. Fourteen ten our score.

(02:22:30):
Right now Central with a four pointlead, second and twelve for the
Red Devil's four thirty seven left.Coach Nicks has to burn a time out.
He has frustrated headset off and heis he's letting his quarterback have it,
but there is a time out onthe field. We will take it
with him. Four thirty four leftin our ball game. Back after this
quick thirty second time out in thisword from tiger painting body out of the

(02:22:52):
time out. Fourteen ten our score, Opelika trailing by four here with four
thirty four left. Central out ofthe time out, second and twelve from
they're on forty yard line. Playaction wants to take a shot going deep
and it is called at the sixteenyard line. Another deep shot. We
have not seen one since early inthe game, and we knew it was

(02:23:13):
coming and offered that time hooked up. That was dailing up Shaw on that
one. Have some break top Shawget out. That's a big first down
for Central all the way down toaround the sixteen yard line. Play good
for close to forty four yards.Well, the defense has their backs against

(02:23:37):
the wall right now, two receiversleft, single receiver to the right side,
and here's a handoff and that timewrapped up right in the tracks there
by number ninety one to Mari smiling, he brings down Zach Simmons at the
line of scrimmage. No gain onthe play. It'll be second down and
ten. As we approached the fourminute mark left in this ball game,
well you just wait for another shotcoach here by this quarterback, I know

(02:24:01):
that that's their fourth big play ofthe half. We have z row three
forty seven left in our game.Four point advantage for central fourteen to ten.
Two receivers either side for the RedDevils. Trying to get the Red
Devils to jump. They stayed putin that time. Mary Smiley broke it.

(02:24:22):
Tackled at Simmons. He got awayfrom that time and he gets down
inside the ten down to the nineyard line, and that's a seven yard
pick up. So this will bethird down and four. They can get
a first down inside the six yardline. Right now, they'll say third

(02:24:43):
and three, three h eight left. Two receivers either side offered out of
the shot gun play action throws andit was juggled and hauled in and called
inside. I had stayed on hisfeet in the end zone for the touchdown.
Was Jacob it tenty and that wasa big one there with two fifteen

(02:25:07):
seven left in the game. Thefirst score of the second half is a
central touchdown with two fifty seven left, and it's a ten point game now,
twenty to ten. Boy coach Heyjuggled it and bobbled it and hung
on and spun away and got inthe end zone. And I tell you,
coach, they have earned everything onoffense tonight. They have. I

(02:25:31):
mean this, this defense has beenreally good. High snap, got it
down and the extra point up andgood. It's an eleven point two score
game now for this Opelika offense.Just two fifty seven to work with,
but a big score there by theRed Devils. You're listen to bulldog football
here on the kicker. Big driveby the Red Devils to add another score

(02:25:58):
on the board. And that wasa big when the first score of this
second half, and it makes aneleven point game. Now it is two
fifty seven left, twenty one ten. Our new score after that touchdown reception
by Jacob Tenney, the senior whohauled it in, caught it at the
five spun away, juggled it fora moment there, but was able to
get it in the end zone forthe touchdown. That was our first score
of this second half. Bulldog fansdon't forget creating a better banking experience at

(02:26:24):
South State Bank. They're committed toinnovative solutions and make their customers lives easier
and more convenient. To come bySouth State Bank and come see the local
bankers Tommy Cummings, John Meadows, and Eric Canada. Well, the Dogs
need a quick score here, tryto get back in this game. Trailing
by eleven. Now with two fiftyseven left, That kickoff goes into the

(02:26:48):
end zone as Jamari Miller goes afew steps back and that will be a
touchback. So the Bulldogs will haveit at the twenty yard line first and
ten or at a final They're fiftyfour to seven. Enterprise over Smith's Station.
That one going on just down theroad. A lot of football here
in just a few few short milesapart. Smith Station hosting Enterprise the game

(02:27:11):
here at Phoenix City at Garon HarrisonStadium and Glenwood hosting least gotten just down
the road. That one just abouta stone's throw from here. Who won
that game? Band Glenn Wood wasup last. I checked and they had
a close to about a ten pointlead. There was still some time left
in that one. Here we gottwo fifty five left and the Bulldogs back

(02:27:33):
with the football. Gagliano from hisown at twenty yard line, play action.
Gagliano wants to take a shot. He's going deep. He's looking for
Talbert and it is called Talbert's gotit at the thirty Talbert, it's gonna
take into the house ten five touchdown. Jordan Talbert one play house call,
eighty yard touchdown. Gagliano to JordanTalbert. Want an answer by the dogs?

(02:27:56):
Wow, that's incredible man. Yegoodness, there's your big play boy.
There was two defenders there. Thatis two unbelievable grabs by Jordan Tolbert.
Here tonight, coach McCracken, Well, just get the onside kick team
ready to go. That is youroffensive player. The game brought you by

(02:28:18):
Kenny Knox Tires a tire Man eightat seventy seven on the Viety five Bob
James Drive in Valley the Dogs arebringing out the two point conversion team here.
They want to make this a threepoint game. Good call here,
extra point? Really does you know? Good here in a twenty one sixteen
ball game. So Gagliano go onefor two. After the big touchdown reception,

(02:28:41):
Gagliano wants to roll to his rightand trying to throw it back.
He's looking for brother Drew. He'sgot it. Yes, two point conversions,
good three point ball game in twofifty three left. You cannot place
the ball better than Ringgliano just did. That was a beautiful That was the
legend Kircher play right there. Man, It was not dead open Coo.

(02:29:03):
I mean you had to put itin the rock spot. Roman just threw
that one across the field. HughFreeze was here earlier, Albert's head coach,
and if he just saw that one, he might be shaking Roman's hand
after the game. What a throwby a Roman. Gagliano eighteen our score
two fifty three coach, A lotof time left, opelike has got three

(02:29:24):
time outs. You could kick thisthing deep, yeah you think? Yeah?
I mean you really don't have tokick it on side kick here?
I know that's kind of conventional thinking, you know, late in this game.
But we'll see what coach speakman doeshere. If you don't get the
on side kick here, then youknow you set central up to kind of
iist this one away. But itlooks like the dogs are gonna come out

(02:29:46):
and do the on side kick.Maybe, I don't know. I think
back mccracking on the sideline. What'sthe boys gonna do here? Kick it
deep? Yeah? I think so. Maybe we didn't catch a nap in
here and dump it in here andtry to go get it. But yeah,
I'm with you. I mean, you got two forty three van like
you said, we got three timeouts left in this play. I mean,
we're stoked up here on defense,so I think we can you know,

(02:30:09):
kick it and trying to hold himhere. They're gonna kick it deep.
I have no idea. It's lookinglike a bonside kick now, but
who knows. Well, you know, right now, Johnny only goes back
about two steps to kick it deep. I think he could pin them back
right now. And I think Johnnyis gonna boot it back deep. He
takes a few steps back. They'vegot one deep man at the twenty fifteen
yard line and Johnny will boot itdeep. That's gonna go all the way

(02:30:33):
in the end zone. Great. No, it bounced at the one,
and he follow the ball. Hescrambles for it, picks it up,
and now, oh my goodness,it can take it. He gets the
sidelines. Oh my goodness, he'sgonna take it to the house. Hey,

(02:30:54):
my goodness, it bounced at theone. He bombled the football.
It looked like Oplika was about tostumble on it, and Ryan Darius Morgan
picked it up and he just turnedthe corner and when he did, nobody
there to the house. He goesninety nine yards for a touchdown. Goodness,

(02:31:16):
gracious, well, you can't youcan't even describe what just happened.
Then one of the one of theflukiest plays you'll ever see. It looked
like it was about to be adisaster for Central and some of the magic

(02:31:39):
here in Phoenix City just went theirway. A three point ball game with
two twenty five just turned on adime and the extra point up and it
is good. Twenty eight eighteen.Back to a ten point game with two
twenty five left. We'll take aquick time out. You're listening to the
Bulldog foot you're on the kicker.Oh disastrous played by the Bulldogs as they

(02:32:11):
kicked it down to the one yardline. Looked like the Central player Morgan
he lost the football and when hescooped it up, he went to the
right and nobody there for the kickoffteam for Opelika in ninety nine yards to
the house. Dogs had just wentdown and made it a three point game
on a touchdown by Jordan Tilbert anda two point conversion by Roman Gangliano to

(02:32:33):
brother Drew Gagliano and all of themomentum with Opelika. And we've seen that
momentum turn on a dime coach mccrackingon a kickoff return before. And you
hope the Dogs can bounce back fromthis one. But boy, that was
a devastating blow right there. Ohgoodness. Yeah, well, you know
the kicking game came into play rightthere at the end, right there,

(02:32:54):
then somebody lost contain here's ethan allfor the kickoff and end over end and
into the end zone now right atthe one, Dogs are gonna be able
to bring it out. Jamari Millerturns it at the fifteen yard line and
fumbled the football and Central's got itat the sixteen yard liner at down at

(02:33:16):
the twelve. My goodness, boy, Jamari got hit in the side and
the ball just popped free. AndJamari right now slow to get up.
But that's more of a frustration onthis part than it is anything else.

(02:33:39):
And that was just a hard hit. He tried to cut back, and
when he cut back, I thinka helmet went right on the football and
it popped it away. And rightnow things are just crumbling apart for Opalik
and what boy, we're going sowell. Twenty eight eight eighteen, right

(02:34:00):
now, two thirteen left and Centralwith the football first and ten at the
thirteen yard line, straight hand offup the middle. Not much there,
maybe a yard on the play groundof the kerry. One and nine second

(02:34:22):
out of nine coming up. Twentyeight eighteen right now Central with a ten
point lead, one fifty three andthe clock running and dogs do have three
time outs remaining. All right now, Central trying to add more to offered

(02:34:48):
out of the shotgun. One thirtytwo left, bouncing outside left side and
that time two flags come in.The tailback slipped down at the six yard
line. But indication is this willbe a hold against Central and it is
one at twenty six o'clock has stopped. Left in the game a ten point

(02:35:09):
game right now, Central with thelead, and that will back him up
ten yards, but it will remainsecond down. Coach Speakman comes in,
looks like he's about to burn oneof his time outs or at least having
a long conversation with I think CoachSpeakman says he wanted to decline that penalty.

(02:35:41):
Long conversation, white hat comes offFiel talking to the line judge here,
make is that what coaches wanting todo? Maybe decline this penalty here?
Yeah, all right, So decliningthe penalty is what Coach Speakman wants
to do. It wants to keepit third down and a time out on

(02:36:05):
the field. So a time twentysix left in our ball game, Central
leading twenty eight eighteen, with justa minute twenty six left. We'll be
back after this time out. Inthis word from four seasons Federal credit one

(02:36:26):
twenty six left in our game hereat Garrett Harrison Stadium, coming to you
for Furth Pede Clintic Broadcast booth.A ten point lead for Central twenty eight
eighteen and the Red Devil's facing athird down inside the fifteen yard line,
all spotted down at the eleven yardline. Hope like a fumbling the kickoff
and Central trying to make him pay. Here Zack Simmons bounces it outside,

(02:36:50):
gets down close to the five beforehe's bottled up and coach Speedman quickly comes
in and calls a time out withfourth down upcoming here and we'll see a
Central elects to bring in the fieldgoal team here, and I believe we
will time out on the field. We'll see a Central elects to go for
the field goal here. Ten pointgame one eighteen remaining in a fourth down

(02:37:13):
coming up for Central. We comeback. Central keeping the eye fence down
on the field here out of thetime out on fourth down gets a snamp.
Simmons gets the handoff, he's trippedup from behind and gonna be close
to the first down though Simon Brownon the Jerry looks like he's gonna have

(02:37:37):
enough of the first down. Nosignal yet, get a four on the
plane. We'll either they're gonna measurefor it. Make are they know why?
It's close as a look, man, I don't know. I mean,

(02:38:03):
if you got it, you gotit. If you don't, that's
a good stop right there, allright, I got it, chain pull
first down, Let's get it.So I first down there and see if

(02:38:30):
Central lengths to try to go toa knee here or or punch it in.
Simmons, sorry, offered rather outof the shot gun, and we'll
slide down to a knee. SoCentral now I'm gonna drop down to a

(02:38:50):
knee, and Coach Speakman looks likehe's gonna not forced the issue here with
two time outs and Coach Nicks dropinto the victory formation by value and effort
by these dogs tonight, and Iknow Coach Nicks is certainly going to be
feeling very fortunate to leave here withthis ten point win. Coach, this

(02:39:13):
is the way this game should be, though, a hard fought battle between
these two schools. I know it'skind of been one side of the year's
past was Central, but open Lakeof winning it last year and again coming
on the road tonight and making abig statement here. Yes, sir,
well, we just we just didn'thave quite the firepower in the second half,
and they just they made more bigplays than we did. Van Basically

(02:39:35):
it was big plays. Coach Speakmanwas going to be frustrated a boy,
he got to be proud for hisdogs tonight. What a great effort tonight
between these two teams here tonight andone just meets the plays and some balls
bounced their way really and in thegrand scheme of things, and Central a
winner tonight over the open Laca Bulldogsfinal store here twenty eight day teen and

(02:40:01):
our post game show comes your waynext. You're listening, hope like a
Bulldog football here on the kicker toughwith the night final score twenty eight eighteen
a Central the winner over opahlike andwe'll head right down on the field as
batmancrackings tend to buy with Coach Piegeman. Thanks lord, Coach Pegman. Hey,

(02:40:24):
tough loss a lot closer than thatscore boarder peers, excuse you your
thoughts about the boys never never kick. Yeah it wasn't you know, of
course we're never gonna lay down, but you know we got right back there
and then just had the the basicallyjust loafed on the kickoff re turn,
their kickoff re turn. We askedsome guys not cover, just they thought
the ball is gonna be in theend zone and their guy made a great
play and then that got him rightback to head by ten or else.

(02:40:48):
We've got them pinned back. Andour defense was playing really well. And
you know, other than those threebig plays they had, I thought we
kept him in check and offensively,it's the same thing every week. So
we've got to you know, wesay it every week. You can play
for the last three weeks. Youknow, we have some good plays and
we have a holding penalty. Sowhatever we're doing, we've got to get
that fixed. It's got to comedown to the coaches and players fixing that

(02:41:09):
and getting you know what, whyeverwe're holding, we gotta quit doing it.
Let me get some vannom pups.Hey, guys, coach talk about
just you talked about the eyefits,But I thought, you know, the
first half, the way you weremoving the football down the field, the
quick throwing game from Roman, seeinghis keeping his eyes down field, and

(02:41:30):
then the ground attack, I thoughtthis was Javana Williams coming out party for
this season. The way he ranthe ball tonight. Yeah, he played
pretty good. You know, missand cuts there at the end, but
he played good. We gotta havehim and Calvin going if we're gonna be
successful in the ground. Roman playedyou know, his normal game played.
You know, he's always going tostep up to the challenge and made some
big time throws and you know, but like I said, he goes back

(02:41:50):
to the penalties. I don't know. I know Coach keeps up with it
up there during the game. Butyou know, we probably had six or
seven holding penalties that back us upto first and twenty or you know,
we had another chop block because wedon't communicate up front and on the first
drive. So you know, thoseare the things that get you beat against
Thompson and uh Central and you knowyou can get away with it against Percy,

(02:42:11):
Julian and Jack that you can't getaway with it versus these guys.
So and that's what our schedules filledwith from here on out as teams like
this. So we'll go back towork on Monday and and get all this
stuff. You know, we'll keepworking on it, hey, coach.
One thing too, Jordan Tolbert tremendouscatches two big ones though, I mean
he went over and wrote really usover some defenders and hauled in some highlight
grabs. Yeah, he had hada really good game, and so,

(02:42:35):
uh, you know, we gottamove it move the ball around with him
and Jamari and then find Bennett Youngand and Brody some touches here and there.
So you know, I thought wecompeted really well, and uh,
you know, we just had probablyfive plays. It's those five plays that
determine the outcome of the game, and all five went against us tonight.
So we've got to figure out away to get that fixed. And as
we move and get in the playoffs, and then of course, you know,

(02:42:56):
we may see these guys again.Eric, you're you're absolutely right about
the penalty son one hundred and sixtyyards and penalties we had, yeah,
and that you know, usually youcome over here and you think that's you
know, not on us, butevery one of them was there. So
yeah, yeah, and the bigthe big plays, they had more big
plays than we had. Oh yeah, they had well, they had the

(02:43:18):
three big ones that they score onand are set up the score. And
uh, you know, we justyou know, we play too hard to
give up big plays on poor poortechnique or or you know, we just
don't do the thing that we're coachedto do. So you know, we'll,
like I said, we'll go backto work Monday, and I guess
Prtvil I don't know what what theydid tonight, but we'll get Pratfolt at
home next week for Senior Night anduh, you know, another week in

(02:43:39):
a in a tough region. Sowe got to stay stay positive with these
kids and keep working hard. Ofthe proud of their effort tonight, coach,
proud of your coaching staff are puttingtogether a great game plan. I
know it's tough to to look upthere on the scoreboard to come out on
the losing in on this one,but just a magnificent job. I think
the gay the kids came over, the effort was there, the coaching was
there. It's just the breaks didn'tgo our way to night. But but

(02:44:00):
best of luck next week, coach, appreciate the visit. Yep, we'll
see all next week Senior Night. So we need all the Bulldog fans to
come out and support these guys. All right, thanks too, head coach,
Eric speak, been a tough onetonight, twenty eight eighteen. Final
thoughts and we'll close it out afterthis time out. You're listening to Bulldog
football here on the Kicker. Finalthoughts from Garrett Harrison Stadium tonight, Opelika

(02:44:22):
falling to Central tonight by final scorea twenty eight eighteen. Boy, that
final score just as it's tough toread off just how the Dogs were within
three points. It's a little overtwo minutes to go, but a kickoff
returned by Central back to the houseand that ice this game here tonight.
But next week the script Pratt willcomes in next week and it's gonna be

(02:44:46):
Senior Night a Bulldog Stadium. Onlyfour home games on the schedule, only
three more to go. Certainly hopewe do have some home playoff games in
the near future, and that wouldbe nice at the end of the year.
But right now, Rattl's up next. There's gonna be a community wide
pep Rowley Thursday night downtown Opelike.Invite everybody out. It's gonna be a
huge crowd there. Senior Night comingup Friday night at Bulldog Stadium. Need

(02:45:07):
a big crowd for that one.As the Dogs boy coach, they ought
to be ready for last year goingover and losing it over time of the
season just kind of went off therails after that game. This will be
a big one to get back ontrack. Ironically to the kickoff return that
very similar to this one right here. You're right, but but Vay and

(02:45:30):
I just to sum this game up, big plays. They made the big
plays and we didn't. And wehad one hundred and sixty yards and penalties
and they had I want to sayseventy five something like that. But it
was we just couldn't make the playswhen we had to make the plays,
all right, that's what did it. All right? Next week it'll be

(02:45:54):
Prattville at home. We'll be onthe air of the coverage starting at six
thirty. Kickoff set for seven o'clock. Don't forget though, coming up next
week out the Encore Rehabilitation High SchoolScoreboard Show. Jarrey Bavarro dio and in
Jason Lee here in the studio rightnow, getting ready to turn things over
to them for back mccrack and coachSpence mccrack and my spotter Jeremy Tail.
I'm Van Riggs, Opalaika High SchoolFootball on ninety seven point seven. Kicker
