(00:08):
Back here Bulldog Stadium. The kickfrom Reese Beasley goes into the end zone
and if hairketch is called for rightthere at the goal line. As that
one was hauled in by number eightyOreon Smith, a wide receiver that's a
listed a senior on the air.I think we got a few older kids
(00:28):
playing in this game. It's notall tenth and when you talk about JV,
I mean you're pretty much talking aboutjust guys that are not on the
starting unit on the varsity right now. That's right, We've got a few
eleventh twelfth graders. Chuck will startfrom their own thirty yard line. This
is the JV game. First uphere and we are underway. It'll be
an inside handoff and a good stopright there inside by the Bulldogs big defensive
(00:54):
lineman there. Yeah, big numberfifty five JV On Holloway, a freshman
comes up there and makes the stopon the tail back there for Klay Chalkville.
It looked like number twenty nine AaronRobinson on that carry, a sophomore
running back there. A good startRobinson the tailback to the right of the
quarterback looked like maybe an early jumpthere and another good stand job in there.
(01:17):
All four of the Bulldogs coming upnumber forty like number forty eight coming
up there making a stop. Kateand Harris a junior ropelike, along with
several other Bulldogs. C. J. Eldridge, the quarterback for Klay Chalkville,
number nine. All right, firstthird down, third down and twelve.
(01:42):
Got to hold him here now, don't give him a first down.
Yeah, I lost, so lostof three. It'll be third and thirteen.
They say that's a penalty. Ohgoodness, I think that's on us
line of scrimmage of twenty six.As that flag comes in. Oh,
Coach Moore not gonna be happy withthats penalty against the defense. You got
to watch the fall boys, watchthe ball. Don't listen to the quarterback.
(02:09):
Come on ross receivers here to thenear side, a single receiver to
the left side. Still third andeight. DJ Eldridge again, the quarterback
learned out he rushing forward. Eldridgequarterback gets a snapplay action, drops back,
he's one across the middle, anda flag comes in. The catch
(02:31):
was made at the forty yard line. The I'm gonna get interference, I
believe on oplaika, but a reallynice grab there by the wide receiver.
That was Jakari Johnson, a juniorwho comes up and makes the catch there.
We had a good pass rush onthat guy. We hit that quarterback
right when he let that ball go. They're gonna mark it down all the
(02:52):
way to the forty one yard line. That's a thirty two yard a passing
catch for Clay Shaukville forty five runninghere. Clock is stopped here in this
game, so not completely running quarterback. Eldridge out of the shotgun and movement
(03:13):
there and the snap gets over hishead and that's going to be moving on
the offense there for Clay Chalkle,So that'll move them back. We are
scoreless here just underway here in theJV game. Yeah, that was their
left guard Van he pulled out andso he got a five yard so you
got it first and fifteen. Goodgood break for the dogs. So Eldridge
(03:43):
the quarterback, Well, we'll workout of the shotgun now and the line
of scrimmage is the forty six yardline in ople Laca territory inside handoff right
side across the forty five down tothe forty three yard line. So that'll
be a pickup of three yards runningplays they've made no yards one yard and
three yards. Great job against therun. Robinson on the carry again there
(04:13):
the running back Robinson to the leftof Eldridge. Hard count here on second
and twelve. Driving back throws herenear side, nearly picked off and dropped
by the wide receiver number eighty five. Caden Ferris was the intended target there.
So it's incomplete. Gosh, man, that was close. Boy,
he almost picked that one off.So this will be third down and twelve
(04:38):
again. The line of scrimmage isright at the forty three yard line,
all right. The last time theyhad third and eight. Now they completed
it right down the right the leftsidelines. Let's see if they go to
that same guy they got three byone we're rushing for. Could be four
down territory. They don't get ithere at the forty three yard line,
(05:00):
twelve, they'll empty the backfield.Eldridge drops back pump fakes. Now looks
across the middle, got bumped, lost the ball. It's down on the
turf, scooped up by the dogsacross the forty and inside the forty yard
line down to the thirty eight yardline. As that one was scooped up
by the Bulldogs coming up with thatone. Look like number fifty five bomba
(05:20):
the cover bottom Ookalleco. There's aflag up. Javian Holloway came up with
the football there, good job,jab is a flag on the play too.
Marquise Bulger was also in there.I didn't see what happened with the
flag, did you see? Idid not. Well, we had the
(05:41):
ball. Oh goodness, it's gonnacall it on us. Quarterback was bumped,
lost the ball and then it wasscooped up by Opealaika and this will
be a dead ball personal foul againstOpelaika. So I'm not sure what exactly
happened. And that fifteen yard penaltyis going to back it across midfield and
it's gonna put it at the opalai A forty seven yard line, So
(06:05):
the Dogs will start from their ownforty seven yard line rather than down around
the clay chalk. Will thirty eightgot Lewis Murley at quarterback. Fan thirty
ten, very talented speedy junior. Two whiteouts left side singer receiver of the
right side. They'll hand it tothe tailback. He's wrapped up in the
backfield. A quarter blitz then andthey got the running back before he got
(06:28):
to the line of scrimmage. JohnnyJohnson, a senior, actually getting a
handoff carry there and no gain onthe place. Second down and ten again,
Dogs will be from their own fortyseven yard line, scoreless game,
Dog's first possession. Here Lewis Murleyin at quarterback. You'll have two receivers
either side, Johnson the tailback behindhim in a pistol. Look here Merley
(06:50):
gets the stamp hands of the Johnsonagain. Johnson again bottled up right there
at the line of scrimmage, andagain it will be no gain, and
it will be third down and tenagain from the forty seven yard line.
So no good push there up frontfor the bolt offs. Oh we couldn't.
We couldn't knock them off the ball. They're just they're rushing three guys.
(07:11):
They were three and dropping four. It's third down then passing down.
CJ. Pink will come in attail back. Now Merley out of the
shotgun. He'll have two receivers left, single receiver to the right side.
Third and ten. Merle drops back, throws the Pink out of the backfield
and he dropped it. Its incompleteand that will bring up fourth down and
again at the forty seven yard line. I believe we will see Opalaika come
(07:35):
into pun. Yeah. CJ shouldhave caught that. That was that was
a nice pass. I don't knowhow many yards he would have made,
but the nice pass. Brys Beasleywill come in then the punch and special
teams are not live, so itwill just be an opportunity for a free
kick here. This is nice fora deep snapper not to even have anybody
(08:03):
rushing or anything. Yeah, Cordon, he order to get a good one
ice pune. Yeah, Mark,it's a good one and it got down
almost died at the one yard lineof it. It rolls into the end
zone. So touch back Clay Schalpawill have a shot at it here with
episode two left, if that ballwould have stopped at the one, would
(08:26):
they have had to start from theone? I believe so. All right.
I'm not sure the rules here inthe modified and basically in the in
the in the spring game here, but I would think so. Fan Ricks
longside coach Pitch McCracken. We'll checkdown with Mac McCracken coming up here in
just a bit, and Mac kindof let us know kind of who's running
(08:46):
the show down there as far asplay calls and that sort of thing,
and we'll put you on assignment onthat. Clay Chauponville will start. Got
a pin back van keep him downhere. They're starting from their own twenty
three yard line. In the backfield. Wrapped up in the backfield is a
tailback and he's gonna lose. Well, number forty, just absolutely way,
(09:11):
lady. Yeah, a three yardloss and that was Tristan More, that
number forty you speak of Coach McCracken, a freshman. That More name has
been real good for Bulldog football. So a loss of three back to the
twenty yard line and it will besecond down in thirteen here for Clay Shottfield.
Did y'all make them throw the ball? Eldridge out of the shotgun,
(09:35):
trips receivers right, sing a receiverto the left side. Eldridge drops back,
throws out of the flats to Robinsonthe tailback, who turns it upfield
and he's out of bounds around thethirty yard line. Good pursuit on that
far side by Marquise Bulcher. Well, this is gonna be a big third
down right here. We don't needto don't need to give him a first
down fan third and three, yeah, play good for ten yards. It
(09:58):
will set up a third down inthree. I think you'll get a wide
side sweep over here to the field. I think they'll probably run it Eldridge
out of the shotgun. Third andshort from the thirty yard line. He'll
hand it to the tailback who slipsthrough two or three tackles and he's got
the first down, and he pullsthe pile up close to the thirty nine
yard line. And boy, thatwas a tough run for nine yards there
(10:22):
by the tailpag we got blocked in. They whipped us. Aaron Robinson,
really tough running there for Clay Chalkville, number twenty nine. The tailback there,
Robinson, picks up the first downand line of scrimmage will be Klay
chalks on thirty nine yard line. We're still scoreless. Clock shows for thirty
(10:43):
one remaining here in this first quarter, just playing one half. Here,
trips receivers to the right side, quarterback drops back. It is caught at
the forty three, turned up fieldat the forty five and up to the
midfield. On that reception was numbereight Jalen Melton, and that's another first
down and that played good for elevenyards right at the midfield stripe. Here
(11:09):
in the middle of that o isKlay Chalkville moving from left to right here
in a scoreless game, four Onine and a running clock here in this
first quarter number eleven for us totry to make a pick again and he
didn't. He didn't get it.Good effort, shinegun. Look here again.
(11:30):
The quarterback hands into the tailbag, not much running room. Left side
was Aaron Robinson and he stopped upright at the line of scrimmage. They'll
give him ford progress to the Bulldogforty nine yard lines. We'll pick up
one yard. It'll be second downin nine at the forty nine of Clay
Chalkville. Yeah, that was thatoutside zone play sweep over to the left
side. We did a good joball front four and the linebackers. Three
(11:56):
twenty eight clock running, still scorelessgame. Clay Chalkvill on the move here,
just cross midfield. It'll be asecond and nine at the opal like
a forty nine yard line. He'sgonna throw it this time. C J.
Eldrids. The quarterback moves a manin motion from the right side.
Now looks to the left side, throws back across the middle. Got a
guy wide open, but nicely playedthere by the Bulldogs batting it down?
(12:16):
Was Kendarius Page comes up there afreshday. What a great play by Candarius.
That was an awesome play right there. He'd have caught that ball.
Van, Yeah, good play thereby the We got no pass rush,
then we got no path. Wegot to get to this quarterback there in
(12:37):
the side. My flag on theplay too, as UH, I have
nightmares about the Alabama game fourth andthirty one. No pass rush. We
got to rush the passer on thisnow? All right, man, did
you see what the penalty was?Was that a hole? I didn't see
that one, but I got yourupdate on the UH on the coaching staff.
So basically, this is your varsityrunning it Jamy Atkins's office coordinator,
(13:01):
coach Anamassi as your defense coordinator. All right, there you go, dropping
back in. The quarterback slips afew tacklers, he's in trouble, stays
on his feet across midfield, andhe's across the forty thirty five thirty and
he's finally brought down at the twentyone yard line. That was a touchdown
saving tackle by Micah Camon Roberson,a freshman comes in there and makes the
(13:22):
stop there for the Bulldogs. Goodness, man, we're head him down with
n't tackling god lead. That's abad break. Actually, Jay Battle,
I believe is wearing number twenty thereon that play that made that reception.
So a lot of double numbers inthis JV game. So we'll do our
best to try to decipher through here. Big game though, First down for
(13:46):
Klay Chalkville down to the twenty oneyard line and they will have a first
in ten hand off again right sideand a good run there by Aaron Robinson
right side as he gets down closeto the fifteen yard line. It's going
to be close to a six yardpickup and Olida Wilkie is gonna be second
down in four play game seven yardsus say seven yards down to the fourteen
(14:11):
yard line. So just a secondand three coming up. Clay Chalvill trying
to strike first here in this JVgame. Eldridge, the cornerback, works
out of the shotgun and they movedno call though, he'll play action and
he goes down sacked in the backfield. A pile of Bulldogs coming in there,
(14:33):
Warner McDonald. One of those isgood, isn't it that they didn't
call anything? You're right about that. Jalen Jackson also in there on the
stop third and nine. That's good. I believe my man bed Jorge Stenson
too. We lost six yards thirso that was a six yard loss and
it'll be a third down and nine. There's a time out on the field.
(14:54):
We'll step aside as well. JVaction scoreless here, but a third
and nine coming up for play,Chalvill this time out. You're listening to
Bulldog football here on the kickers callour first time out of the spring game.
And here in the JV part ofthe game was a time out taken
(15:15):
by Clay Choppell. As they wantto think this third and nine play over
here as they're down at the opallike a twenty yard line, and this
will be a third down and nine, a minute fifty eight remaining here.
Quarterback out of the shotgun and that'sc. J. Eldridge. He'll hand
the ball though to his tailback Robinson, who's been really good and he's wrapped
(15:35):
up there in the backfield. Anice stop there coming over making the stop
was number thirty one. Caleb Johnsonmakes the stop and that was a big
one in the backfield for about atwo yard loss. It's fourth and eleven.
Are they gonna go far? Ithink on this end of the field,
coach, why not spring game tryto pick up the first down.
(15:58):
Fourth and eleven than eleven. Yougotta get some pass rush guys at the
twenty two yard line is the lineof scrimmage. Cornerback Eldridge gets the stamp,
drops back, fade passed towards thecorner of the end zone, and
the wide receiver fell down, triedto come back and catch it, could
not do it. It's incomplete. That'll be a turnover on down. So
(16:19):
the defense, coach, I thinkyou call those ben but don't break in
that scenario. He just threw ago to that wide receiver over there in
the corner of the end zone. The guy fell down. That's a good
break for the dogs. MAC downon the sidelines magazine. A lot of
these varsity coaches with instruction. Ijust saw coach Brian Moore run out on
the field and then give some instructionsthere to that group. Good to see,
(16:40):
Yeah, it is good, andit is a good Van to let
him get their some information. Untohim, I got into laughing at Coach
Massie because they're doing some as youwould say, some polite chatting with the
boys. But it's really good tosee that. Lewis Merley comes back out.
He'll work the offense for Opelaika again. Yeah, the tailback for the
Bulldogs will be CJ. Pink backin the ball game. Dogs first and
(17:04):
ten line of scrimmage is the twentyfive yard line for the Bulldogs. Burley
gets a snap, No, he'llhe'll fake it, keep it hisself.
Good hold for Merley across the thirtythirty five. He's got a first down
as he's out of bounds around thethirty one yard line. Good run there
by Lewis Murley faked that inside zoneand then he kept it, went around
(17:25):
the hedge on the right side.Hey, guy's got good speed right the
man. Yeah, got out ofbounds right at the thirty five. So
that's ten yards and a good fora Bulldog first down. CJ. Pink
stays in there at the tailback spotto the left of Lewis Burley, the
quarterback with two whiteouts either side.Pass here in near side. It is
(17:45):
caught stiff arms a defender at thethirty five and spends his way up to
a one yard pickup. Was MatthewPritchett, a freshman wide receiver. Now
somebody didn't we had another wide receiverrider. You got to block that defender
coming in there, and we didn'tblock him, and they had two guys
hit that wide receiver. We arescoreless here. This is the JV against
(18:06):
Clay Chalk Voldo Varsity will kick atseven o'clock. Glad you're with us here
on the kicker here for some Thursdaynight spring football and Opelaika and Klay Chalk
will right now scoreless, but Opelaikahsecond down and nine dogs were there on
thirty six a movement, no flag. Though Merley picks up a low snap,
rolls to his right, throws deepdown field. Tried to get the
football to Matthew Pritchett around the fortyyard line. It falls incomplete, and
(18:30):
this will be a third down comingup here for the Bulldogs. Boy,
this quarter's going fast. Fan yep, just twenty seconds left. Tommy Johnson
checks in. Goi'll give a pinka breather at the tailback spot. See
a lot of guys that we havenot had a chance to see much of.
(18:52):
Ah Rend and Massy lined up ata wide receiver a senior. But
there's a false start against Opelaika andthat's going to be a five yard penalty.
So it's going to be third andfourteen as the ball spotted back around
the thirty one yard line. Youwant these in the spring game, not
(19:14):
in the fall, though, coach, Right, Yeah, that's right.
I don't want to ever want todo that in the fall. Man in
motion or just changing positions here,it'll be two wide outs either side,
Merley out of the shot and gunfall from the thirty one. Now,
man in motion from left to right, Merley drops pack, has to get
dumping off early. Johnson's got acrossthe thirty five, across the forty,
(19:34):
He's got the sidelines across midfield.First down, big run there by Tommy
Johnson, and they'll mark him downat the forty five yard line at twenty
four yard pickup and that's good fora lamborate transfer and storage. O'palaika bulldog
first down man who is number sixtyfive. He came down and made a
(19:55):
great block. That will be CarmelTolbert Torbert. Yeah a scene, boy,
that's a great He went down field, got a good block for that
kid. First down to the fortyfive of clay Chalkville. They show pressure
here. Merley changes his play twowhite outs to the right side. Merley
pressure now rolls right, dumps itoff nobody home to the left side of
(20:15):
the field. He just had toget rid of that one. There was
some big pressure coming down from theclay Chalkwell group there on that one.
Clay Schalwell is the Cougar's coach.I had a memory lapse here. I
couldn't think for a moment there tomyself. Just four seconds left now on
(20:36):
the clock. Murley out of theshot gun at the forty five yard line
of clay Chalkville. Merley gets thesnap, rolls to his right backside,
pressure coming, gets rid of it, throws one deep down field and overshot
Pritchet inside the ten yard line.Merley took a shot from behind, and
he's going to get a rough inthe passer. Yeah, p'ally against him
(20:56):
and that'll be an untimed down.So the dogs will have a chance with
one more here as Merley really tooka backside shot there in automatic first down.
Carson Kimbro the linebacker, trying toplead his case. Boy, he's
a big fellow, six and sixtypounds sophomore. He looks bigger than that
out there, cause he does fifteenyard penalty. Though, I'll get the
Bulldogs at first down. It's big. We'll start the second quarter, puts
(21:22):
the Dogs down to the thirty yardline, as which you'll still try to
find out who's going to put thefirst points on the board. It'll be
an untimed down here as the quarterhas expired, and the Dogs will line
up with two receivers right single receiverto the left side, a thirty yard
line tailback on this one is JalenThomas for the Bulldogs. Merley gets the
(21:42):
snap, drops back, fade pass, miscommunication the guard. But there's a
whole little penalty. Yeah, there'sgoing to be a hold against Ques Johnson,
the wide receiver here to the nearside. He was getting tied up
and he was getting held. Solet's hope it's against the defense. I
think it should be. We'll seewhite hat gets his Quez is walking back
(22:03):
like he like he did something wrong, but I don't think he did well.
You know, it looked like agold fade passed and he kind of
was stopping, but I think youknow, he still got held, so
that may bailing out. It's goingto be against us, so we'll wait
for the official call here. It'sa hold against lay chalkvall and an unineligible
(22:25):
man down field, so it's uh, why is the clock not running?
Van? Well, there was anuntimed down on that previous play due to
the penalty, so I guess youcannot end the end it on a penalty,
so the Dogs will get another chance. Those offset so two receivers either
side that emptied the backfield and Merleyhas tons of pressure and he sacked back
(22:52):
of the thirty six yard line.Flying in there was Carson Kimbro, that
linebacker we mentioned earlier. That isthe end of the first quarter of play.
So all scoreless, coach at theend of one here, and they'll
be a little break in the action. We'll come back and get you ready
for quarter number two. It's thejav scoreless here between Opalike and Clay Chalkball.
Reminder, the varsity action'll be comingup after this. You're listening to
(23:15):
Bulldogs bring football here on ninety sevenpoint seven kicker feem Well. The first
play from scrimmage for the Bulldogs afumble in the backfield and it is Clay
Shalville that will pick it up rightaround the forty yard line, So a
turnover right out of the gate hereas we start the second quarter, as
the Dogs are facing a second andfifteen on that play, low snap I
(23:37):
think it was with a low snap, coach or did just get away from
the quarterback got away from the quartermarket. It wasn't a great snap,
but he should have carfed the balland then they fumbled it that there's no
excuse for that. All right,Well, working round right, I guarantee
you, Brian Moore, take careof that, all right, ma'am a
cracking down the sidelines, mag yourthoughts real quick on how this first quarter
went. Well, it's just likeyou said, guys, you can make
(24:00):
some mistakes here during the spring, but just don't make them in the fall.
So, you know, defensively we'vebeen pretty good. Offensively, made
some mistakes that has cost us inpenalties to penalize us. But other than
that, I mean, we're playinghard, playing good football is going back
and forth. But like you said, man, don't make these little mistakes
in the fall. They'll come backand buy you. Yeah, this quarterback
(24:21):
Elder is pretty good. That play. He takes a snap and he carries
it across midfield down to the fortysix yard line. Yeah, they have
to tackle from inside out, andthe guy overran him and he got by
him. Got to tackle better inthe secondary. So that was a fourteen
yard pickup a first down by thequarterback. C J. Eldridge first and
(24:41):
ten Klay Chalkwell at the open lakof forty six Inshine eyed off to the
tailback and he has stood up andstopped right at the forty five yard line.
One of those linebackers got him.Fan. Yeah, I look like
Caleb Johnson, a freshman in thereon the stop there on the tailback.
And that was a different tailback thanwe've seen. That was number forty seven
Avon Kendall, a running back whoslipped in there to make that carry.
(25:06):
It'll be second down and nine asKlay Choppville is at the forty five yard
line, they'll give him forward progressof one yard on that one. They
gonna chunk it here. Scoreless gamestill, both teams trying to find pey
dirt. First quarterback Eldridge drops back, fall about it, now, takes
off and runs. He slides acrossthe forty yard line. They'll mark him
down at the thirty nine yard lineand that will be a six yard quarterback
(25:32):
run. This quarterback can scoot. He's got some deceptive speed there. So
it'll be third and three inside theforty down at the thirty nine of Opalaika.
Both these teams still trying to findthe in zone for the first time.
As we are scoreless here with eighttwenty eight remaining here in this JV
game, he's gonna run the ball. They're gonna run it with some kind
(25:52):
of an option. Eldridge out ofthe shot gun, quick inside hand off
with the tailback slips a tackle ofthe thirty five. He's at the thirty
and he's still on his feet acrossthe twenty five yard line as he gets
out of bounds down to the twentyfour yard line, and that is a
thirteen yard run, a clay Chalkvillefirst down. And that was not good
defense. Oh, third and three, got to do better up the middle,
(26:19):
sorry, first down inside the twentyfive yard line, down at the
twenty four is where they have thathave it marked. Eldrids out of the
shot gun for Clay shopball again andquick inside hand off and that was a
really good tackle flying in there forthe Bulldogs was yeah, number twenty six
(26:41):
Jackson, Canada. Good job byJackson. Then he came right off that
edge and made a great tackle.I'm gonna carry again, was Xavion Kendall
there. Clay Chonpville, I'm gonnahold him here in that van I second
and ten, Martin Jones checks inas a running back here. Eldridge out
(27:04):
of the shotgun. Two receivers right, single receiver left. Jones gets the
hand off for Clay chalk Will breaksa few tackles, he decides to cut
it up. Okay, he's finallypulled down and tackled there Kamari Preston Third
and six in there on the stopare actually third and Sindri and Carter third
(27:26):
out. Third and seven bull hobblethere is believe Jordan Stinson quarterbacks. He
comes out, He's gonna throw it. No run here you can see by
(27:47):
those offensive linemen. Third and sevenhere for Clay Chalkville at the twenty one
yard line. Good inside handoff andbounces and breaks it outside and that's gonna
be a first down run down tothe ten yard line before finally being brought
down there by a pack of Bulldogs. Keldrick McKenzie. McKenzie one of those
on the stop there for the Bulldogshad him him up in the backfield.
(28:10):
You're right, coach, and hejust broke bounced it outside like a pinball.
Just let him go, come onnow, so good run there by
Ladarius Harris, and Harris stays inthe ball game to the left of CJ.
Eldridge, the quarterback Clay Chalfil tryingto strike first six point thirty remaining
here in this JV ball game, which is only playing here the first half.
(28:30):
So when we refer to the ballgame, that is it. CLAYT.
Chalflthough, will stop in the clock. They want to have a time out
here and while we got a moment, we'll step aside as well for a
quick breather here. You're listening toBulldogs JV football first up Varsity will follow
scoreless game Clay Chalfill trying to scorethose six twenty one remaining. You're listening
(28:51):
to Bulldog football here on the kickersince Auburn Bank opened in nineteen oh seven.
We've been tested by world wars, pandemics, and plenty of troubled times.
Through it all, we've not onlysurvived, but thrived by staying true
to our core values of sound moneymanagement and putting our customers first. And
just as surely as more challenges willcome, we'll meet them the way we
(29:12):
always have, with your confidence andour experience. Auburn Bank Champions of You
member fdi C online at Auburnbank dotcom. Out of the time out clay
shape, We'll have it first andten down at the Bulldog eleven yard line,
(29:33):
trying to find the zone for thefirst time here in this ballgame.
Eldridge hands it off inside of thetailbag, breaks a tackle inside the five,
still on his feet, and finallyforced down at around the three yard
line and a pile of Bulldogs inthere on the stop number thirty three.
Keldrick Mackenzie back in there again.Oh, we need to load it up
(29:56):
now. They ain't going to doanything but run the ball only had a
three man rush that on that lastplight. Jordan's tension back in the ball
game as well for the Bulldogs seconddown and they can get a first down
with two yards, or they couldscore a touchdown with three. Eldridge hands
it inside, tailback bounces it insideand he's in the end zone. Before
(30:18):
of the touchdown on the carry, there was number twenty nine, Aaron Robinson,
the tailback we saw todd earlier inthe game, back in there and
he gets Klay Chalkville the first scorehere of this JV game. It is
six to nothing with five thirty nineremaining here in the ball game as we
are only playing here in this firsthalf, and coach, when it gets
down to it, I mean, that was some tough run in just some
(30:41):
real old I mean hadn't barely beenmuch through the air. It's it's been
on the ground for Klay Chalkwell. They made some big plays running the football
on third down on second long wherewe missed tackles, got a tackle,
better, got a time. It'sthe swinging gate tire. Well, it
(31:03):
looks like they're going to go fortwo. As the quarterback Eldridge comes back
out and again he'll have Robinson thetailback to is right here. My quick
inside hand off in just about thesame play as a touchdown on this one
went straight up the middle for thetwo point play, and it is eight
nothing Clay Chalkville five thirty nine remaininghere in this first game of the day
(31:25):
for us here on the broadcast, that's the JV game between Opelika and Clay
Chalkfield eight nothing. We're back afterthis time out. You're listening to Bulldog
football here on the kicker ninety sevenpoint seven Kicker FM. Hello, Plaika.
We'll try to answer the Clay atChoukville touchdown. We'll have a new
(31:45):
quarterback, full or Young, whowill get a crack at the quarterback position.
It'll be a play action and Youngrolls here near side a throw that
was low intended over here on thenear side to Jalen Carr, a junior
wide receiver, or falls incomplete. It'll be second down and ten again.
Say he's wide open too, again, Opelaika from their on thirty yard line,
(32:07):
Clay chal will with an eight tonothing lead. They touched down on
a two point conversion in just fiveminutes and thirty four seconds left. As
we're only playing one half in thisJV game as well as the varsity,
Young gets the stamp, hands itoff to the right side and breaking a
few tackles up to the thirty twoyard line. Was the tailback and that
(32:27):
was CJ. Pink that was backin there, number thirty two, two
yard pickup up to the thirty twoyard line. It'll be third down and
eight five point fifteen and the clockrunning. Need to make this first down
Van two white outs right side, hard count there by Young the quarterback under
(32:52):
five. Now third and nine, big play coming up here for the Bulldogs
from their own thirty one dropping backas Young good pass across the mid that'll
turning it up field at the thirtyeight yard line for six yards. Still
gonna be short of the first down, but it's gonna be fourth down.
And see if the Dogs I thinkthey're gonna keep the offense out of here.
I think they're gonna go for this. It's a fourth and two play
(33:13):
from their own thirty eight yard line. Both down too. The Young stays
in there out of shotgun formation, going for it here on fourth down,
or at least trying to get ClayChalk will to jump four to twenty seven
left here. Young gets the stamp, drives back. Dogs pump fakes want
to throw it now, Young's gonnatake off and run and not the decision
(33:35):
he needed to have there is hestopped at the thirty five yard line,
loss of three back to the thirtyfive, and that'll be a turnover on
downs. So the dogs gamble thereon fourth down and Klay Chalpmill's defense makes
them pay. There some big guysboy up front on that defense, coach,
and they're getting some good penetration.Lay Chill takes over at the bulletin
and Clay chalp Will will take overat the opal like of thirty four.
(33:59):
They're making the plays in this gameand we're not making the play bottom line.
Back those guys, boy, Itell you, that's some big guys
on that defense for Klay Schoffelin thisJV game, I hate to see the
varsity. Yeah they are, buthey, it's like you know, it's
like ose war said, you knowthat's they picked the best team to play
here in the spring game. Soyou know, Clay Clay's always loaded.
(34:21):
So this is a good test forus. Man. Well, I saw
Malik in the indoor earlier today andmy goodness, gracious, that boy has
grown since last year. He isa, as coach Massey says, a
large human begin four or fourteen leftDogs defense will have to come up here
hand off left side. There wasa good tackle there by the defense as
Jordan Stinson coming in there, who'sbeen hobbled a little bit by an ankle,
(34:42):
that seems, but he made agood tackle there in the backfield and
that's going to be a two yardloss back to the thirty six yard line.
Those officials are not calling any penalties. They moved on that one.
Now they're letting them play. Iguess, yeah, that was definitely did
you see that back? They leta lot of stuff go in the eighth
grade two in the ninth thirty's tolet that go eve second out of twelve
(35:07):
klay chopbill from there from the Bulldogthirty six hand off there and again Jordan
Stenzon's back in there and makes anothertackle. What a play and he's doing
that Mac McCracken on a hobbled legthere, he's limping around and still making
tackles. Have you seen that? That's the football players with that's called.
Yeah, he's done really well. There three twenty four left and that's two
back to back tackles for loss byJordan Stenson. We can hold them here.
(35:30):
We might get a chance to getthe ball back one more time.
Three point fifteen. The clock continuesto run. Klay chalpwill leading here eight
nothing. Only one half being playedhere for the JV and Clay chalk will
trying to escape here with a eightnothing win. Are possibly more here,
but they've got a third and fourteenat the opal Lionka thirty eight yard line.
(35:52):
Quarterback Eldridge drops backs God all daypump fakes. Now we'll take off
and run up the middle. He'stackled at the thirty four yard line and
spe through that and they'll mark himdown at the thirty three yard line.
Light offense, So it'll be fourthdown and the Dogs will have to come
up with one more stop here asKlay chalpwill most definitely will go for it.
(36:14):
It is going to be a fourthand nine at the thirty three yard
line. Two forty seven. Theclock is stopped and it will be a
timeout taken by Opealaika, So thedefense wants a quick breather here. Eight
nothing, Dogs trying to hold clakch'ab will get a chance to come back
here as we're playing just one halftwo forty seven left of this JV game.
(36:37):
And back after this. Here onthe kicker W and KKR, Auburn
Opalaika is League County's best country ninetyseven point seven kicker fn an iHeart Country
station. Out of the timeout,Dogs defense trying to come up with a
fourth down stop. It'll be fourthand nine is Clay chalp will leads it
right now, eight to nothing. They're at the Bulldog thirty three yard line.
(37:00):
Eldrick drops back. He's sacked byguess who, mister Stenson back there,
and he's hobbled on one leg. He's made two tackles for loss.
He made a big sack there.Jordan's Stenson in there all making some big
plays there for the Bulldogs. Thatit's a turnover on downs and official time
out here on the field, andthe clock is stopped here with two twenty
(37:22):
eight left, Dogs will have achance here and they'll get the ball from
their own thirty seven yard line. That's where the Bulldogs will start here.
Boy coach, he's the twenty twohas looked good. He's the number two
defensive end too on our depth chart. Oh, he's one of their better
(37:43):
players. Smiley's the only one infront of it. So we've got a
new quarterback coming in here, andthis will be Ashton Smoke, who wears
number ten like Merley. But thiswill be Smoke the quarterback getting a chance
here to try to give his teamchance. Low snap play action, Smoke's
gonna take off and he's gonna run, bounce it outside across the forty still
(38:05):
on his feet, around the fortythree yard line, he's finally brought down.
It'll be a pickup of close tosix yards there, Smoke on the
scramble. Two twelve. The clockcontinues to run, and this will be
a second down and four. Comeon, guys, let's go. Ball
spotted at the forty three yard line. Dogs with they're on forty three under
(38:29):
two minutes now to go, trailingClay Chalk will eight nothing here in this
first half, the only half playedhere in the JV game. Quick inside
hand off and a quick tackle atthe forty yard line. It will be
a loss of three yards. Andthat was Pink on the kerry and we
didn't block anybody then, Yeah,he was met rather abruptly there by one
of those big defensive lineman's. Therefore, Clay Chaukville third down seven here with
(38:53):
a buck thirty three left here inthis ball game, only one half being
played, so this will be it. This is the second quarter and when
this is done, this is itfor the JV game. Ashton Smoke the
quarterback gets the snap, rolls right, throws on the run. It is
caught at the forty two but noturning up field there. Met right off
the bat was Camden Riley Rayley ratherwho made that reception here on the near
(39:19):
side of the field, and hewas met right off the bat. It
will be actually a loss of oneback to the forty one yard line.
Yeah, fourth and six, theygotta go for this fourth down six,
two whiteouts either side. Smoke thequarterback here on fourth down, this will
be it for the Dogs. Smokerolls here to the near sides. Got
to throw it down field, nobodyto throw it to, and he just
(39:42):
throws it away. Took a shothere on the sideline, but no call
there, and the coaches come overand you have a couple of words there
to Smoke. Frustrations there for theBulldogs coming off the field there on that
fourth down. That will pretty muchseal a JV win. Here for Klay
Chalkfa here with just forty five fiveseconds left here on what is just a
one half against these Cougars ate nothing. They lead it and a chance to
(40:07):
run the line fast. Forty fiveseconds off the clock here. I really
think Van the mistackles in this game, in this half is what got them
the touchdowns. We just we missedabout three or four tackles. We can
clean that up, will be okay. So Clay Chalk will run back out
here and it'll be a couple ofplays and then we'll get ready for the
(40:30):
varsity action that will follow here.I think Lewis Murley did a good job
as a quarterback CEJ Eldridge. Outof the shot and gun, the quarterback
gets the stamp and a quick insidehand off to the tail back to the
thirty five yard line. On thatcarry was Marlon Jones and that'll be a
pickup of six yards down to thethirty five yard line. The clock will
(40:52):
continue running down now into thirty seconds. Maybe one more snap here for Clay
Chalukville and that will be it forthis JV game playing six jars. Second
probider coming up after this, we'llhave the varsity game. It'll be again
a one half football game. Highstamp got it down passed throwing the car
(41:15):
and a good tackle there by theBulldogs. That was number forty five.
Jaden Buchanan solins a soft board andhe gets the credit for Or that could
be that's Elise and Garrett. Isn'tit number forty five? Well, I
got Jayden Buchanan solins that's an sback. So I think it's Aiden Garrett,
(41:37):
the defensive back who's whearing the otherforty five. So I think you're
right. One nineteen left clock isstopped and I think they're that. Yeah,
I think they're calling this one.Mac McCracken, I believe. So
what are your thoughts there? Max? So far in the first football played
on the new turf here for thevarsity, good but uh, you know,
(42:00):
just just to recap on that oneright there, Van, Uh,
you know one hundred percent agree withDad on that. A lot of mistackles
right that uh during that during thatgame right there, that set up Clay
Talkville uh for the win. Butyou know, hey, they played hard.
You know, mistakes, you gottaclear that up in the fall.
That's why they play a spring game. So I'm looking forward to this varsity
see what we can do. Youknow, we talked to shoot Van four
(42:22):
years ago. Uh, you know, we're on the field before one of
our games and we were talking aboutthis ninth grade team coming up. Uh,
these seniors that were really really good, undefeated everything like that. So
you know, they're seniors now,so it's gonna be be interested to just
to see how they come out heretheir senior year. All right, thanks
so much, Mat, cracking downthe sidelines. We got a little break
(42:42):
here in the action. We're gettingready for the varsity. They'll take on
clay Chaunponville on the way coming upnext. But again, our final score
in this gv game eight nothing clayChalkviille. The varsity will try to even
the score here as Opelika and clayChalkfull varsity football action coming up as we
continue with our spring game here onninety seven point seven kick FM back after
this time out here on the kickerback here at Open Laka High School,
(43:13):
Dogs getting ready to take on clayChaupville and the varsity action. Kind of
recapping the afternoon so far. Itstarted with the eighth grade and ninth grade
they took on Lagrange from just upthe road in ninety five and the eighth
grade one eight to twenty twelve toeight, and then the ninth grade followed
things up and they fell fourteen tonothing to Lagrange. That was a really
good looking ninth grade group. Andthen the JV takes on Clay Choppel in
(43:36):
the first game, coming up justshort eight nothing in a hard fought game.
Their offence was really hard to comeby in that game that we just
wrapped up there and coach had achance to work in a lot of quarterbacks
and you mentioned it too, lookedLewis Murley looked really good starting the game.
Yeah, I think he. Ithink he was the best of the
three. He threw the ball well, ran away, but they couldn't you
(44:01):
know, they bought, They couldn'tsustain drives and you know you got to
be able to do that. Well. Early got I think a couple of
drives too. The he got themore reps to in there over Fuller Young
and then also Ashton Smoke who finishedthe game up there. But you know,
that's one thing. There's a lotof quarterbacks and competition has been big.
(44:23):
As we flip things over here tothe varsity, it'll be the first
time to see Colby key A sophomore. He'll be wearing number nineteen for those
Dog fans that have been watching onthe NFHS network or maybe here inside Bulldog
Stadium. We're just getting here.And also c J. Sank, a
sophomore at number fifteen. Folks willbe familiar with him playing in the Bulldog
program for a while. Colby Keymoves in from North Alabama, his family
(44:46):
moves into town, and he's reallybeen competing along with c J. Sank.
Colby actually has an offer already,I believe from UABPY. It's from
Dora, Alabama and as you knowwho played it, David Campbell. Okay,
all Americans, God know he wantme to say something about door.
So anyway, and Colby's father alsoplayed for Alabama for coach Gene Stallings,
(45:12):
so he comes from a pretty bigfootball family, yes. And then after
that you got Lewis Merley Fuller, young Ashton Smoke who we saw in that
jv game. So this will reallybe a key Sanky game as we head
into this varsity game. Some familiarfaces otailback Calvin hugh Lee senior that will
be getting the carries. Jordan Waitsboy with a speedy sophomore that's now going
to be a junior that we sawlast year, Tommy Johnson and C.
(45:36):
J. Pink who we saw playingthat JV game, and then along things
as far as the depth chart onthe offensive line, one person that's going
to be really battling for a startingspot really will have a starting spot somewhere
that won't be able to play inthis game. Did eligibility issues, but
has been practicing with the team asJackson Lee who moves in from private school
at Lee Scott comes over here. He's a big person, sixty four two
(46:00):
hundred and seventy something pounds. Yeah, and I watch him umpire my boys,
my grandson's baseball games, and heis a good looking kid. Then
I'm gonna tell you now the kidshave been really high on him too,
the saying that practice he's really donewell. Your starters though, for this
game, from left to right, left tackle Traymond Thomas, a senior,
(46:20):
Killian Jones a senior at left guard, Kyle Epperson at center, Darius Winlow
will get the start there right guardof sophomore, and then David Miller,
a senior, will get the startat right tackle. Your wide receiver,
Brody Jones, followed by Drew Gagliano, and then the Z receiver Jamari Miller.
His backup a really good speedy juniorJalen Washington. The ex receiver a
(46:42):
starter junior Bennett Young, and thenQues Johnson, a sophomore, will follow
him up. Blake Johnson at juniorwill get the start at the F receiver
there at the basically kind of likethe H back position. And then Juliet
Pritchett, another guy that's really impressedthese coaches. So two juniors there,
Blake Johnson and Julian Pritchin kind oflike the hpot I guess coach, but
now almost kind of like a widereceiver position in this coach Brian Moore offense.
(47:06):
We'll take a look at the defense. Gets you ready for this varsity
game, and of course special teams. You got some stars there. We
got a lot to talk about aswe get you ready for the varsity as
we still are counting things down tokick off of this one between Opika and
Clay Chalkville. After this time out, you're listening to Bulldog football here on
the kicker. Welcome back here toBulldog Stadium. Van Reg's Law's side coach
(47:34):
Vince McCracken. As we continue countingthings down to kick offf here between the
varsity and the Varsity of Opalaika andthe Varsity of clay Chalkville. Defensive depth
chart tonight across the front and willbe Brad Instance in number fifty three at
defensive end, Malie Autry at oneof the tackles, Ja Kai Lightfoot at
the other tackle, Mary Smiley anddefensive end, and then your linebacker,
(48:00):
ty Hudson. They transfer in fromAlburdon and Tyler Moore behind them, Caden
Harrison, Alan Jackson, and yoursecondary you've got court ingram Leland Bell,
Kaveon King, Carson Mawson, DevinDixon behind them Braden Howard, Warner McDonell,
then Swank, Tyree Pitts and JayBattle that as you're too deep there
(48:22):
in the defensive secondary. Of course, you've seen some of these guys before
as far as the kicking department goes, and they've been really good. And
some of those guys that you'll seehere Reese Beasley kicking the ball. He
has got a cannon, and thenof course Johnny Cecina he's back as well.
And then another guy Ziyan Henderson thatwill handle the punting duties. He
(48:45):
has had a cannon as well, and it's time for the coin toss and
mac McCracken somewhere roaming around, butnot out there in the middle of the
field. But we'll tell you exactlywhat happens here. Is these two teams
meet together. You've got Amory Smileyout there, and also Treymond Thomas one
of the captains, Brody Jones. And then also who's wearing a new number,
(49:06):
a little smaller number, Alan Jackson, number nine, who's moved over
to linebacker now. And hey,you know, Van, I like to
see fourteen seniors out there too, starting for us. That's that's a good
thing, that's right. So captainsmeeting at midfield. Mac McCracken actually taking
(49:27):
care of the coral department down there. They're gonna be singing the national anthem.
So Kendall's part of that, hisdaughter, so he's on Simon down
there for that. That is awesome. Kendall will graduate from Oplaca High School
next Friday, she will and theywill first McCracken to graduate high school,
is what I hear. No,this is the actually, this is the
(49:47):
third board there you go. Allright, so coin toss, it will
be Opelika receiving first, and BOteams shake hands and we're just about ready
to go here for the kickoff oftonight's game between Opelikah and Clay Chalkill.
Here in the varsity game, we'lltake our final time out and come back
(50:08):
and get you ready for kickoff oftonight's game. After this time out,
you're listening to Bulldog football here onthe kicker. Welcome back to Bulldog Stadium,
as we're just about ready for thevarsity action here between Opelika and Klay
(50:30):
Chaukville. Dan Ricks alongside coach VinceMcCracken. Back McCracken roaming our sidelines tonight,
and we're just about ready for Bulldogfootball. A little bit more of
a pickup in pace and a littlebit more intensity. Here is when you're
ready to kick off the varsity action. The JV team just played between Opelike
and Clay Chalkville. If you're justjoining us, Klay Chalupman winning that one
eight to nothing only a half afootball, but this is going to be
(50:52):
just about as close to fall actionas you'll see here between the defending six
a state champs here Bulldog Stadium, and they kick it off off inside the
ten yard line and will be fieldedby the Dogs across the twenty three yard
line. Jamari Miller he lost thatwent out of bounds. Luckily it went
out of bounds as he lost ahandle on the football. There can't do
(51:12):
that. So the Bulldogs will haveit and we'll see where they spotted.
Not sure where it went out ofbounds. Looks like they're going to market
at the twenty three yard line,so the Dogs will have it first in
ten from their own twenty three yardline. We will see Colby Key number
nineteen, the sophomore. He'll comeout and start for the Bulldogs. He's
(51:34):
a sophomore, as we mentioned, transferring in here in the off season and
moved from North Alabama, but inplay in middle school, was over at
Alburt and played middle school football there. He'll take the shotgun snap, Calvin
Hugley gets the handoff, bounces inthe left side, and Calvin gets across
(51:54):
the twenty five. He's up tothe twenty six yard line. Is a
three yard pickup and this will besecond down and seven. As we are
just underway here from Bulldog Stadium numbersixteen. Franklin Jefferson. I can't even
tell if the the led lights areon yet, Coach, I don't think
(52:15):
they are. Play game three yards, second down, check it down and
seven, key out of the shotgun. He'll move Miller in motion from left
to right and key play action rollsto the near side. Here we'll throw
in it called at the thirty fouryard line. Hit out of bounds at
the thirty seven yard line. Asthat one was completed to number thirty Blake
(52:35):
Johnson where it's a nice throwing kits. I'll tell you what. He puts
some sip on that ball. Nowup to the thirty eight yard line,
a twelve yard pickup, and that'sa laborate transfer in stores Bulldog first down,
Dogs good throw Kobe from their ownthirty eight yard line, first and
ten dogs moving from left to right. Here in the varsity game, Key
(52:55):
drops back, steps up in thepocket, and we'll try to make something.
As he gets up to the thirtyseven yard line, gets back up
to the line of scrimmage, mayhave lost a yard. Line of scrimmage
was actually the thirty eight, sothirty seven he lost a yard. He
had to come out of the game. So Sankee's in there at quarterback.
(53:20):
Ce Jay Sankey comes up now andwe'll take a snap another sophomore Sankey with
a hard count and nearly got himto jump. They'll throw the flag,
and I believe that's going to beoff sides against clay Chalkville. Good good,
So it is, and off sidesagainst clay Chalkfell so that'll be a
five yard penalty. Weh number ninetysix up there for clay Chalkvill coach.
(53:44):
He has a big man, that'sColton MacIntyre two sixty five five eleven there
at the tackle position. I gotsome big children. Zero is two point
fifteen. Quite the drop off there. Those are your two defensive tackles.
SANKEI gets the snap, hands itto Hugley left side. Huglely hit and
brought down right at the line ofscrimmage. That's where Ford progress as he
(54:07):
was meant right at the line ofscrimmage. All right, big third down
right here at third and six.Yeap third and six says we're at ten
oh seven left. First trive ofthe game here for the Bulldogs on offence,
first possession here for either of theseteams as were look for something quick.
See if we get this first down, needs six yards in the first
(54:29):
half, a big third down. This will be Key back in there at
quarterback getting this snap on third down. He checks the sidelines as he gets
his play signaled in two receivers tothe right side and a new tail back
in there as well. Key rollshere to the near side, throws out.
When it is caught at the fortyeight across midfield, that's a first
down as he hooks up with numbertwelve Bennett Young, who changes numbers this
(54:52):
year was seventeen last year Bennett Whearingnumber twelve, And that's a first down.
That's good for close to thirteen yards. Kobe Key can throw the football.
Let me just say that to youright now, Van great pass,
great catch. Actually at the fortynine is where they'll market. The Dogs
(55:12):
will have it first and tent fromthey're on forty nine. Moving from left
to right, Key drops back onestep, throws to Miller who's got it,
turns it at the midfield, Milleracross the forty five and down to
the Clayton Chalupville forty three yard line. Nice. Nice, and that is
a good pickup. And that isto the an eight yard pickup. Nine
(55:35):
twelve left here in this first quarterof play, second down in two second
to go run Hugelely here gets asnap, hands it off. This is
Waits on the carry and Wates gothit right at the line of scrimmage.
They didn't give the much progress there. I think he got a yard down
to the forty two, third one, so be a third and more like
(55:59):
a third two play game one yardthird down one, so gonna be third
and one. Coach, I thinkthey moved that football of just a bit
down to the forty one down tothe forty two. Need the forty one.
Here's Calvin Hughgley. He's got afirst down. Calvin big hole inside
(56:21):
the thirty and Calvin's down to thetwenty six yard line. That's gonna be
enough for a Bulldog first down. That's a twenty five yard pickup. Good
run there by Calvin Hugly, rightjob by Keeling Jones, ever cented Witloan
up front, great blocking up front, David Miller and Traymond Thomas. Eight
twenty one. The clock runs herein this first quarter. Dogs trying to
(56:44):
score on their opening drive of thegame, down to the twenty six yard
line of Clay Chalkville. Calvin huglytripped up in the backfield, stays on
his feet, gets across the twentyfive and down to the twenty four for
just a couple of yards there andin eight minutes remaining now in this first
quarter of play, Calvin it's alittle breather and George like what comes up
(57:07):
a little bit gimpy as he cameoff the field. So waits back in
there at the tail back to theleft of Kolby Key check it out in
eight seven forty five, still scorelessgame as we're playing here in the first
quarter. Miller in motion from rightto left, and Key hands the ball
off two weights, waits at thetwenty five yard line and waits hit right
at the twenty yard line. He'sgot six yards. Good run there by
(57:29):
Jordan Wakes big pop over there onthat near side as he got hit out
of bounds on the opal like asidelines right at the twenty yard line.
But I believe they'll mark him insidethe twenty down to the nineteen yard line
is where the football spotted, Sothis will just be a kind of third
and three. Here was seven thirtytwo left in the first quarters. Think
(57:50):
he's gonna throw. I think he'sgonna throw it. Man, all right,
Matt, keep your tabs here onhim. Dad's call him pass.
We'll see receiver either side, Waitsthe tail back and it'll be a handoff
to Waits inside spends his way downclose to the fifteen. He's down at
the sixteen yard line, and Ibelieve that's gonna be enough for a first
down. I do two, Van, I think he got it. Holy
(58:15):
cow, they're not gonna give itto a mack You down there? How
close are we on that one? It's close? But yeah, Dad's over
six he is. Hush up,boy, Fourth and inches here for the
Bulldogs. Seven oh five left ofthe dog's move. My goodness, it's
gonna be a five yard penalty andback the dogs up. It'll be fourth
down and six now coming up ratherthan fourth and one. Boy, see
(58:38):
that. Little things like that,Little things like that. Van Brian's gonna
take care of that, little mistakes, little things. And the Dogs on
fourth down here are gonna go fora field goal with Johnny Cecina. We'll
(59:00):
be here from the left hash. They've got the ball spoted down at the
twenty three yard line and a kickfrom the right hash and it is up
and it is good. So thatwas a That was a forty yard field
goal up and good for a threenothing lead for the Bulldogs. So good
(59:21):
lambort transfer and scores are good.Opal like a power services scorings rid of
there and the Dogs lead at threenothing over Clay show though six forty four
left. Will take quick reculous infootball here on the kicker return by Clay
shop Bull up to around the sixteenyard line and a big hit there by
(59:43):
the Bulldogs on special teams Coach McCrackenthere on that kick return, that's number
twenty six. I think he playedin the JV game. Here we go.
That was Xavier Thomas, a defensiveback in there on that stop.
We ain't to cut the lights on, coach. It seems kind of dark
out there right now. Yep,yep. Six thirty eight left here in
(01:00:04):
this first quarter of play, andnow we'll see Clay chopvill out. They'll
drop back, throw one out intothe flats of the fifteen yard line,
cuts it at the twenty and uparound the twenty three yard line. Was
a running back for Clay Chopville. That was number twenty one. Yeah,
that's too much there, Aaron Olesey, I need a big play right here.
(01:00:30):
Try to test us with the run. Here quarterback for Clay Chalkville is
Aaron Fry. Fry out of theshotgun here for the twenty four and there's
a flag on the play. That'sgonna be movement on them. That's gonna
be five. Yeah, here yougo procedure penalty against Clay Chonpville. So
(01:00:50):
that'll move them back. This isa big momentum thing right here. Vans
starting second and nine, So Fryout of the shotgun will be second down
(01:01:14):
in eight here for the Cougars withsix minutes to go. Fry drops back,
throws and incomplete, tried to hookup to number one, and that's
Martlin Compton, the wide receiver goingacross the middle, incomplete, second down
in ten and Clay Shopville again fromthere on a twenty yard line. It'll
be third and eight, third andeight. Yes, now we don't need
(01:01:37):
to don't let him. I getget this first down right here. Now
it's third down in a van.Third down, you're right, coach,
Third and eight, come on,get some pressure. Third down eight five
fifty six remaining here in this firstquarter of play, Fry out of the
shot and gun drops back. Pressurecomes he sacks back at the twelve yard
(01:02:00):
line. Big time play. That'sAmory Smiley coming in there and making that
sack along with number forty for theDogs to rest Thomas, a sophomore Opela
like a football right there. Pressurethat quarterback, great job, and we
need to get hey, we gotto get good field position on this punt
(01:02:22):
right here in that van loss ofeight on that sack. Fourth down in
fifteen five twenty five left, andremember Opecah leads this one three nothing thanks
to a Johnny's Assina forty yard fieldgoal, and the punter for Clay Shalpwells,
stands just about a foot in theend zone to our right and shank
(01:02:42):
this one. Roth it hi andit takes a roll right up towards midfield
and out of bounds. Jamari Millerwisely gets out of the way of that
one. Opelika will start out firstand ten and the Bulldogs will have it
from across midfield at the Clay Chapelforty nine yard line. All right at
(01:03:05):
the forty nine is where opalaika. We'll have the football and we'll see who
comes out. Believe we'll see Sankeycome out and run the quarterback position here.
I believe it will be CJ.And make check on Hughglee down there
and see if he's okay. SankYou run the quarterback and looked almost like
(01:03:28):
a pistol look with Jordan Waits justoff to his left there. Sankie drops
back throws one that one skipped, skipped up to Miller and Miller tried to
pick it up and run with it. But it was a forward pass.
It'll be incomplete. Sanki kind ofheld his arm a little bit after that
throw. That one was incomplete.Four fifty nine remaining here in this first
(01:03:52):
quarter. The clock is stopped. It'll be second down in ten dogs at
the clay chalk forty nine yard line. Sankie of the shotgun with a hard
count. Two receivers to the leftside. Tailback remains Jordan Waits, thank
you, gets the stamp, handsthe ball off to Waits. Waits wrapped
(01:04:12):
up in the backfield, know whereto go. He loses two maybe three
yards, a three yard loss backto the forty eight yard line by number
of seventeen. So this will bethird and fourteen coming up now for the
bull of Dogs, and I'm gonnahave to go to the air here to
try to pick this one up.Almost you know it's going to be a
(01:04:41):
passing down here, third and fourteen. Sankkey drops back, pressure comes,
he throws across the middle, andthat was dropped by Bennett Young going across
the middle a little bit behind Bennett, but boy, he should have had
that one. Yeah, it isgoing to be fourth down. That's disappointing
right there. We don't make oneyard in three downs. But a spring
game workout the budge right coach, and the Dogs have the lead right now.
(01:05:04):
Three nothing over over Clay Chalkville.Henderson will punt and a dangerous return
man, I'm sure, and awide receiver here Marlon Compton back deep.
He stands around the fifteen yard line. The Dogs will snap it from the
forty eight yard line and Henderson putsa big, booming punt into this one.
(01:05:28):
It's at the twenty three. Takesa big role all the way down
to close to the ten yard line. Good job. Yeah, that's down
to the ten yard line. Sothat is a forty two yard punt.
There by is I and Henderson fourthirteen left here in this first quarter of
play. Only a half then playedhere between these two teams, and so
far, Coach, it's been apretty good football game. You know,
(01:05:53):
when Coach Moore was talking about schedulingclay Chalkville, he said, this is
a team very similar to us insize of school and the way they play
football. Right right, Mac,did you find anything about Hugley? Just
as I ain't going to look tobe okay? All right, thanks Mac.
Down on the sideline. Sideline Report'salways brought to you by four Seasons
Federal Credit Union. Fry out ofthe shotgun again here for clay Shopville,
(01:06:15):
and they'll try to do a littlespeed sweep, And no, sir,
that one was read beautifully. Andback in the backfield for the Bulldogs was
number ninety there, that's Tremaine Thomasand that was a big tackle for loss
all the way back inside five downto the four yard line. That was
a six yard loss second down insixteen. Coming up here for clay Chalkwell,
(01:06:39):
they're backed up now on their ownfour yard line. Right tracks back
from his end zone tips and itis intercepted picked off at the two,
intercepted at the two, and abig time interception and that was picked off
(01:07:00):
by cord Ingram. Mack McCracken, what they play? You were right there
on and what was court Ingram right? Yes, sir, that was court
Ingram and had great pressure right thereall over that quarterback defensive front is doing
just a tremendous job tonight. Itell you, I didn't know if he
trapped it, but that was agreat heads up catch here by court Ingram.
And the Dogs have it first inGold now at the two yard line,
(01:07:24):
and this will be kolbe Key comingback in to work the quarterback position
here for the Bulldogs. And againwe'll see Jordan Waits in there at the
tailback spot to the left as theDogs are trying to go up here and
make this a two possession game hereleading right now three nothing, but trying
to get into the end zone.Waits gets the handoff, bounces it outside
of the right side and strung outnicely there by the defense of Clay Chalkville.
(01:07:45):
That was a good play by theXavier Starks of safety coming up and
making that play. Three thirty leftlost two yards on that play. Three
thirty left here in this first quarter, second down and four, as the
(01:08:08):
Dogs did lose a couple of yardsback to the four yard line. Here's
second and goal from the four. Here for Opelika Kolby Key. The quarterback
changes his play, waits, thetailback. Waits gets the hand off and
he's hit at the line of scrimmage. And again good defense by Clay Schanckvill.
(01:08:29):
This will be no gain on theplay. Three twenty clock continues to
run and it will be third andgoal from the four. Drew Gagliano chicks
of the ball game. And alsowe see Blake Johnson check in third and
goal from the four. They haveto go to the air here. Coach
some sort of a rollout or something. We're gonna get that or play action.
(01:08:51):
I don't know. We need toscore here. We need a touchdown.
Key is the quarterback first in goal, our third and goal from the
four. Waits the tailback. They'llplay action. Key throws to the end
zone. It's called touchsdown. Here'sJamari Miller in the end zone over in
the corner of the end zone andthere it was coach a little rollout play
(01:09:14):
there as Key went to the righton the run threw a strike right there
to Jamari Miller the end zone forthe Bulldog touchdown. Yes, sir,
great play well executed there by theBulldogs. And with two forty six remaining
here in this first quarter, theDogs lead it nine to nothing over Clate
Chalkville. And here is the extrapoint by Johnny Cecina. Brody Jones will
(01:09:39):
hold. The hold is good. That'll pick us up and it is good.
Dogs lead it ten to nothing overClate Chalkville at drive power by friends
in open like a power services andwe're back after this time out. You
listened to the Bulldog football here onthe kicker as a drive that started at
(01:10:00):
the two. The Dogs lost someyardage back to the four, but on
a third and goal from the four, it was a Colby Key four yard
touchdown throw to Jamari Miller to getthe first touchdown of the spring game.
And Opal like e leads at tennothing over Clay Chalkville. Here's Johnny Cecina
who puts a big end over endkick and seals down to the one yard
line. It will be returnable herefor Compton across the fifteen and Compton noise
(01:10:24):
hit down at the fifteen yard line. A big time hit there by the
Bulldogs coming up was Keev and King, a senior boy. That's some great
coverage right there, great kickoff coverage. WHOA, I hadn't seen that in
a while. I guarantee you BrianMoore has been working on that King with
a big tackle there. Two thirtynine remaining here in this first quarter.
(01:10:45):
Dogs up ten nothing over Clay Chalkville, and we'll see the Cougars come back
out here first and ten and they'llstart lne of scrimmage. Is the fifteen
yard line for the Cougars, sonot good starting field position. They threw
an interception on the two yard line. They're onto their last time out.
(01:11:05):
Here's a throw here near side, turning it up at the fifteen and a
nice move as he spins his wayup close to the eighteen yard line.
Tackled on the play by number thirteentyrese Pits was the wide receiver number eight.
Jalen melted, Yeah, I wasn'tbad. That wasn't bad. Five
(01:11:25):
yard pick up up to the twentyyard line on that throwing kitch. So
it'll second down and five here forthe Cougars if they find out that they
can't run the ball on us,and they just gonna throw. That's gonna
be good for us. Dam Fryout of the shotgun. He'll move his
wide receiver melted in motion now tripsto the right side of the field.
Oh, little option play and nothingdoing there is the tailback was bottled up
(01:11:50):
and they had a host of Lineman'sThereage Kai lightfooting company there on the sto
Lightfoot and uc Tree. We're gonnabe saying that line this fall by loss
of one back to the nineteen thirddown and six two ten. Clotte continues
to run here in this first quarterof play Boy would have stopped. This
would be right here if we getthe ball back, Lightfoot and Autrey right
(01:12:12):
there at the tackle positions. AlsoBrad and Stintson in one of the ends
along with Amari Smiley quarterback dropped iton the ground. Fry, he's in
trouble. He runs to the rightside, scrambling trying to get rid of
it, broke a few tacklers, tries to tight rope the sideline and he's
out of bounds. They're gonna markhim down at the eighteen. He lost
two yards. After all that almostlost about fifteen. Hey, that's gonna
(01:12:35):
bring up fourth down and seven.Maybe fourth down. I think it's it'll
be fourth down and eight. Gosh, we look good man. This is
just great down so far. Thisdefense. You're right, coach, they
have been flying all over the football. Kenny Prescott is going I guarantee you,
I'm gonna take him to breakfast inthe morning. We win this game,
(01:12:55):
man, awesome. One forty fiveleft here in this first quarter,
dogs tend nothing over clay Chalkville andthe Cougar set to punt. Punter stands
at the five yard line, gota low snap, runs and boots this
one again. Shanked it over towardsthe right side. That's in the row
five of the bleachers on the visitingsideline. And this one the referee is
(01:13:16):
gonna roll up. He's gonna markit down at the twenty seven yard line.
Yes, sir, and that wasonly about I think that was nine
yards, coach. The net onthat one. Who that's it so opal
like, is gonna have good fieldposition at the twenty seven yard line of
(01:13:36):
clay Chalkville. We'll see Kobe Keethcome back out to work the quarterback position
here and again, Yeah, Isee hug Lee down on the sidelines.
He's limping. Yeah, they mayhave just let him rest for the rest
of the game. Here as JordanWakes as the tailback, he'll get the
(01:13:58):
hand off lesslide. It's a goodrun, cuts it inside the twenty and
Mark Wait's actually down right at thetwenty yard line, so I pick up
of eight yards there by Jordan Waitsexcellent, excellent, great blocking up front
on that left side, Tramon Thomas, Keelan Jones and Eperson on the left
side. Great job. Those whiteoutsare blocking two hawks. Seck it down
(01:14:25):
in three dogs down to the twentyyard line. One O seven left,
Key out of the shotgun and playaction. Key rolls to the right side,
wants to throw chunks one to theend zone and over shot Bennett Young.
Good coverage also in there on Youngon that one by the secondary player
there for Clay Chalk. I assureyou like. I like the way Kobe
(01:14:48):
Key moves man. He's got goodspeed and he's got a rocket of an
arm. Now, Xavier Stark's therewith good coverage on young Win. Good
shape here I heard down in threecoming up here for Opalaika. This is
two down territory right here, fiftysix seconds left, and there was a
(01:15:08):
penalty on the play. Oh lookat here during the play defensive pass interference.
Wow, yeah, how about that? So pass interference against the defense.
That's gonna move the ball down tothe ten yard line, so it'll
be first and goal down. Bulldogshope like a leading ten to nothing here
(01:15:29):
over the Cougars of clay Chalkville andtrying to add to it. First and
ten, first and goal from theten yard line. Colby Key checks the
sidelines. Tommy Johnson is the tailbackwho checks in the ball game. Two
receivers to the right side. BlakeJohnson moves from right to left, and
there's a flag on the play, and this could be against the Bulldogs.
(01:15:50):
Well, wait for the call forthe white hat. Proud of the snap.
I'll start offul it's a false startagainst the offense. That'll back the
Dog's up five yards back to thefifteen So first and goal from the fifteen
yard line. Now fifty six secondsleft. Did you see who that was?
(01:16:13):
I did not, Gody. Ididn't see anybody move Tommy Johnson the
tailback. Quarterback is kolbe Key outof the shot gun of trips to the
right, Key pump fake in trouble. Now pressure comes and Key's gonna justest
step up down, have to runit tight ropes the sidelines and he scoots
it down to the ten yard line. They'll mark him down for a five
yard pickup. Hey, that isa good looking kid right there. Now,
(01:16:35):
I'm just telling you, woo,he's got some speed, some wheels,
and he can chuck the yards, chuck it down. Yeah. Hey,
he's been going against a really gooddefense too, and scrimmages and ople.
Hey, would you wanting to goagainst Opal like his defense? Coach?
Yes, sir, is that yourscout team? Forty eight seconds left,
(01:16:56):
Dogs trying to add to the tennothing lead over Clay Chalukville. Second
goal from the ten Key inside handoff to Tommy Johnson, and Johnson is
hitting right at the line of scrimmagethree, big cougar sling him back.
Nothing doing there. Third and tencoming up here for the Bulldogs, and
we see a host of substitutions comingin. Jamari Miller, Brody Jones,
(01:17:20):
Jalen Washington also checks in the ballgame. Jones, Washington, and Miller
line up to the right side.Key will go out of the shotgun.
It's third and ten, which willbe third and goal from the ten here
for the Bulldogs. Thirteen seconds finalplay maybe at the quarter here a quick
throw to Bennett Young, it's calledat the six yard line. Forward progress
(01:17:43):
will mark him down at the fiveand that will be fourth and goal coming
up at the five for the Bulldogs. As the end of the first quarter
comes to a close, Dogs leadat ten to nothing, I'll have a
fourth down in goal coming up whenwe start quarter number two. You're listening
to Bulldog football right here on ninetyseven point seven kicker FM Fourth and goal
(01:18:12):
for the Bulldogs of the five yardline. As Opalaika leads right now over
Klay Chalkville tend to nothing. Vanrings alongside coach Spence mccracking. Mac mccracking
down the field, Mac, whatyou think here? The rolling out here
for a field goal? We're goingfor it. Ah, they're gonna go
for it, all right? Whatis your play call? We'll see if
you could even the see if youcan get going. I'm going Koby somewhere
on a rollout, all right, going pass here? And you're both wrong
(01:18:33):
because it's the field goal team comingout. You go, Mac, Mac,
you know what. I saw thefield goal guy and I said,
my boys, donet lost his mind. I was over here with bird a
bird talking all right, so thiswill be fourth and five. Let's give
us a two from the five yardline to score lead. And that kick
(01:18:56):
by Reese Beasley is no good wideto the left. There, just shake
that one to the left. RodyJones was looking down and I say it
was good. I think he wasso the kick was not running into the
kicker. I think that was whathe was talking about. Well, they
just the guy just came over andsaid the kick was good? Is it
good or not? Hold on here, hold on, no no condistant.
(01:19:20):
Okay, I got the defense out. That was strange too. The other
official came over. He said itwas good. That was very light.
I had said it was. Heknew. The white head said good.
Ah, it goes to defense.Let's go all right. Here we go
man MC cracking down on the sidelinesand that kick no good. So the
dogs score right now. Stays tennothing and here's klay Chalkfield. They'll have
(01:19:43):
it first and ten from their owntwenty yard line. Fry out of the
shotgun to receivers left, single receiverhere to the near side and a quick
inside hand off all right running justlet that clock run by Stenson there on
the play for opal Lica braidon Stensoncomes up just a two yard pick up
(01:20:04):
up to the twenty two nix awtreealso in there on that stop on game
two yard eleven thirty four left inthis ball game, only playing one half
here too, wide out sneer sidesinger receiver to the left side of the
field. Fry play action. He'llthrow here near side, and it's all
(01:20:26):
go and a good play over hereall the stop as a no guy and
King, I don't think he madea yard, did he? I don't
think so. Third down and seven, So King makes a nice stop here
on the wide receiver. It'll bethird down and seven that boys got to
throw it here. Under eleven minutesleft here in this ball game, only
(01:20:48):
playing this first half, and thedog's leading here ten nothing. Fry out
of the shotgun here on third andseven. Cougars for the on twenty three
yard line. Fran drops back, steps up in the pockets. Got some
time now, holding flag comes in, he rolls now throws down field.
It is caught at the thirty nine. But I think this will be waved
(01:21:10):
off and negated as there is aholding flag that's going to come in in
a flag on the clay Chalkwell sidelines. I believe as well. They probably
got them for beefing about the call. Well they unless they threw whatever flag
on the defense and this could beoffsetting. I don't know. We'll have
to wait and see. White Hatcomes over, gets a word from his
(01:21:35):
official. There's two flags on theplay. One we knows a hold in
the backfield. The other flag cameon the clay Chalkwell sidelines. They were
really barking about something and then thatofficial on that sideline through a flag.
So I don't know. Well,I have to wait and sort this one
out. Coach for clay Chalkville isStuart Floyd. He's in his first year.
(01:22:00):
He was on the staff last yearunder Drew Gilbert. Boy Drew Gilbert.
What a run. He had twostate championships in eighty one and twelve
record from seventeen to twenty three.Come on, refles, what do you
This is the first game as headcoach here for Stuart Floyd. White hat
(01:22:20):
comes over. We'll get an explanationhere as he is miked up tonight,
so he should explain it to everybodyduring the court to hold me Offuls wasn't
foling defense. He's all set thirdgo all right, So that was the
(01:22:45):
personal foul that Klay Chalkgill was arguingabout. They got the call there,
so it's all setting third down andseven. We got three. We got
three threeman rush right here, LinusScrimmage is the twenty three yard line here
for Clay Shaukville. Fry is theirquarterback out of the shotgun. He's got
(01:23:09):
two receivers right. A single receiverto the left side might bring that fourth
guy. Fry out of the shotgunhere, two receivers, now, he'll
empty the backfield. So Trippy droppedthe balls on the ground and Fry goes
down. He's sack back of theten yard line. Mommary Smiley was there
(01:23:30):
to Green and what's that ball?Hit the turf and Smiley brings him down
at the ten yard line. Greatplay, Kitty press stout his lovingness.
I saw him down twenty thirteen yardloss back to the ten and it's fourth
down. I'm not doing the statsthis half, but I guarantee you they
(01:23:53):
do not have plus yardage on offense. Our defense has been incredible. Xavier
Starks, We'll punt it away andthis one will hit get out of them
with the forty five yard line, takes a roll across midfield, across the
other forty five and is down atthe forty two. So that's where Opelaika
(01:24:14):
will start. It'll be first andten for the Bulldogs nine twenty five to
hang on here and get you afirst half win against this really good Klay
chalkball team. Ten nothing. Dogslead it here and just nine to twenty
five left here in this ball game. Most like Colby Key Nope, got
(01:24:34):
psyche. Yeah, we'll pass itoff to c J. Sinky. Number
fifteen comes out. Line of scrimmageis the forty two, so opeleka from
their own forty two yard line.We want to have a good drive right
here, no mistakes. First andten. This is Johnson who gets the
(01:24:54):
hand off right side and boy Johnsonruns right in two a Clay Chalk will
player at the Linu scrimmage. Nogain on the plate trying to work that
right side, and Jordan Wakes willcheck back in the ball games and Calvin
Hill, he's been shidelining a littlebit of ankle injury. And Mac has
the feel down on the sidelines.I know, the the guys that got
to be a little excited here, the little buzz, big crown here too.
(01:25:16):
Yeah, very very good crowd hereby Opalaka. Good to see there.
H Yeah, it's it's feeling reallygood down here on the sidelines.
A lot of life. I mean, when you when your defense is dominant,
your offense is doing just what itneeds to put points on the board,
it's a good thing. But let'slet's let's finish this thing off here.
Sankey's pass in complete, trying toget it to Brody Jones here near
side on that third down, oursecond down throw. It'll bring up third
(01:25:39):
down and ten. We need todo better than this on offense now,
Man Millard, Gagliano and Jones withthe wide receivers two here to the near
side, single receiver right, thirdand ten. Sankey out of the shotgun
formation, sank you with a hardcount. Jordan wakes the tailback and there
(01:26:02):
is a flag on the plate that'son the I think that's on the defense
offside. Yeah, that's gonna beoff sides against. This can make the
call a little bit different. Now, all we need is five yards for
a first down, So third downand five and we'll see if that does
change the call. Yeah, theyget something to make five yards here,
(01:26:26):
similar personnel out there still where youcould go for it on fourth down two
if you get close, Dog's nearin midfield. From there on forty seven,
Sankey drops back throws across the middle. Miller's God, he's got the
first down. He's got the sidelines. Thirty five thirty a frog down as
Miller's tripped up at the twenty fouryard line, and I think it may
(01:26:49):
be a hole out there on awide receiver downfield a first down. Oh
yeah, it'll be a first down. It was well down field. The
flag was thrown at the thirty twoyard line, so that will be a
flag that was thrown way downfield.Eight thirty five lift In this game,
(01:27:13):
the dogs are walking way back acrossmidfield. They need to walk on pack.
Yeah it's just ten yard. Yeah, that was a hole, but
it's going to be around the thirtytwo the line of I would imagine the
opelika will have the football at aroundthe clay chalking with forty two, which
should be plenty for the first down. If you lost the person, it
has come to the home kind offood, it's going to be the forty
three. Actually second we were close. Good good, good, good boy.
(01:27:35):
Miller's got some wheels, doesn't itHe sure it does. Picked up
where he left off last year atthe forty three yard line as a first
down in ten, ain't thirty fiveleft again? Ope, like a leading
clay chalk will ten nothing, sankey. The quarterback on this drive gets a
shotgun, snap, hands the balloff and that was Tommy Johnson who carries
(01:27:59):
it down to the four forty oneyard line. That's a pickup of just
two. Actually that was Waits againon that carrie two yards second, So
second down and eight coming up forthe Bulldogs down to the forty one open
I could take in their time noweight ten and the clock running here as
Dogs lead at ten to nothing, don't be in a hurry. Don't be
(01:28:20):
in a hurry. Let's block themup front again. Thank you. The
quarterback out of the shotgun drops back. Now it's gonna throw fade passed down
field and try to hook up withBrody Jones. A flag on the play.
I call that on and that ain'tgonna be defensive pass interference. That's
(01:28:42):
the only call you we could makethere? No, oh, that call
him pass interference on the offense callLee, I'm not sure if Brody had
a handle on the defensive bag. That's the only thing I could I could
imagine here. That is two timesin a row they've called offensive paths inapperance,
(01:29:08):
but they didn't call anything. VamYeah, they called it. It's
our offensive past interference against Opalika.Loss of down too. Got fifteen yards
fifteen yards and a loss of down, so it'll be are you sure it's
loss of down? Yeah? Hesaid loss of down? Second down twenty
(01:29:28):
three? Oh yeah, AP's thirddown, third down. Coach Moore not
liking that call. So third downand the Dogs after that penalty backed up
to their own forty four yard lineand they time out I believe taken by
(01:29:50):
coach Moore. Mac. Down onthe field, Mac and Coach Moore wants
an explanation on this one. Ithink, yeah, yeah, I'm trying
to listen in here. So whathe's lived, I'm matching. So he's
got the white hat coming over. And that was all that time out was
was just to find out what inthe world the offensive pass interference was.
And he was confused on that. The offensive pass interference didn't it happen like
(01:30:16):
at the twenty seven yard line.It was inside the twenty five, but
it was from the pass interference wasfrom the line of scrimmage. That's where
they marked the fifteen yards off.It was not a spot foul. Dogs
(01:30:39):
second and twenty three from their onforty four, two white outs either side.
Here Sanky out of the shotgun formationand I have to try to get
a big chunk back here on athird and long man in motion from right
to left. Sanki gets the snapblitz coming off the corner and has to
get rid of it and incomplete acrossthe middle. It'll be fourth down and
(01:31:00):
here comes the punting team for Opal. Like a disappointing drive there. Opelika
had something going on that one,but unfortunately a big penalty. We didn't
get it. That one. Wedidn't use up but a minute a minute
and a half. So seven fortyeight left and Clay Chop will breathe in
a new little bit of life. Here is a trail still tend nothing,
but Opelika has had a lot ofopportunities to stretch this lead. A missed
(01:31:25):
field goal at the five yard lineand Clay Chalk will really hey, the
dogs are present there on that firstand goal from the two dogs made them
pay with that the only touchdown ofthe day. This one hits at the
twenty three yard line and takes alittle bit of a bulldog roll and a
(01:31:46):
good little roll inside the twenty yardline. Good drive, all right,
Van, This is this is uh, this is do or die for Clay
Chalk were right here here. There'sseven thirty eight left. They're gonna have
to score twice. Yeah. Sevendefense has just really been good. Yep,
(01:32:10):
seven thirty eight left here in thisfirst half of play, which we're
only playing one half here, Opelllike elds at ten to nothing and Clay
chop Wills starting field position will betheir own eighteen yard line, so that'll
be a first and ten here.Fry out of the shotgun here for Clay
(01:32:30):
Shop will actually going under center hereand he'll play action, rolls to the
left. Shot at everybody fooling thatplay action and that throw is they're gonna
say called at the thirty three yardline. So that's gonna be a first
down. That's gonna be a fifteenyard throwing catch, good play action and
a good throw there by Fry,and that moves the Cougars up to the
(01:32:56):
thirty three yard long are actually thethirty two hand off inside Malik Autrey all
over that one, all along withCarter Yielder, a sophomore flying in there,
number forty four. All right,Actually that's Ty Hudson. I should
say, yeah, lightfoot is inthere too. Yeah, it's Ky Hudson,
(01:33:17):
the transfer linebacker in there on thatstop. That was a big loss,
five yard loss back to the twentyseven yard line. Second down,
and they're gonna chuck it. They'regonna chuck it. I don't think they
(01:33:38):
think they can run it anymore.Second down to fifteen to five wide.
Look, Fry drops back, throwsacross the middle. He has popped right
at the thirty yard line, thatwide receiver. He was met by Alan
Jackson, who's wearing number five. Now they're linebacker, all right, shack,
now's Carson Moss. I should say, I just got thirty twelve right
here. Van big play wear atnumber nine now throwing me off. But
(01:34:00):
that was Carson Moss. On thatstop, Blay picked up three yards.
It's third and fifth, third andtwelve. You know where they're gonna chuck
it nay out. That's right pressurehim. Dogs lead at ten to nothing,
six oh six left here in theball game. Third down and twelve
for Klay Chalukville. Come on,Fry drops back God all Day, throws
(01:34:23):
across the middle, wide open callingacross midfield inside the forty five, across
the forty still on his feet insidethe thirty five and down to the thirty
four yard line. Big throw anda big catch that was hooked up with
Jalen Melton, a wide receiver, and he's got it all the way down
to the thirty four yard line. That was a thirty nine yard throwing catch
(01:34:44):
for the first down. And Fry'sgonna go fast here at the thirty four,
hands it off in a big tacklethere by Larry Smiley. Smiley who
comes up and wraps up the tailback. And that was number fifteen on the
carry, Joshua wood Woods. Andthere's an injury time out on the field
and we'll step aside. Time out. Five point thirty three left, ten
(01:35:05):
nothing, Dogs with the lead. We're back after this time out. You're
listening to Bulldog football here on thekicker. Oh that's your player, Carson
Moss. Good to see him aftera long, lengthy stay on the ground,
get up and get off the fieldwith his own power. There Back
to action. Second down in fifteen, it's Clayton Sharpville who has the football
(01:35:28):
at the Opalaka thirty six yard line. Sure, here's Fry drops back,
he's got pressure, dumps it off. It's caught at the thirty five and
nice tackle there by the Bulldogs onthat far side of the field, and
God's stopped by Stinson. Great extensivenumber fifty three. That was coach McCracken's
number. Hey in college, soI remember number fifty three. Great job
(01:35:51):
Brighton. So it'll be third downand ten baul just inside the thirty five
down at the thirty four yard line. This is huge. They're gonna throw
it now. They're not running itanymore. Four point fifty one left in
the game. Ten nothing Opealaikah withthe lead over Klay Chalkville. Fry drops
back, steps up, throws acrossthe middle, caught at the twenty five,
(01:36:13):
just short of the first down bya yard. But that was a
really good spot. It's gonna bereally close to a fourth, fourth and
inches. Here is what it's gonnawind up being. Klay Chalk was not
even worried about it. They're gettingup and hurrying it up and they're handing
it off to the tailback. Who'sgonna get just enough for the first down
with that forward progress down to thetwenty four yard line. Good defensive standing
(01:36:36):
there, but this is gonna giveClay Chalk will a first down inside the
twenty five down at the twenty fourof Opelaika as a trail by ten here
with four to twenty one left,Fry out of the shotgun, two receivers
right singer receiver left hand off tothe tailback left shide and Tripp jump at
(01:36:58):
the forty yard line. Hudson thelinebacker comes up and makes that stuff.
Boy, looked like they moved onthe left side, moved for the ball.
Slamp Oh it sure did. Thenthat the left side. Boy,
they're letting all that go. Lotthat stuff go under four minutes to go.
Second down in seven down at thetwenty yard line, Fry hands the
(01:37:19):
ball to the tailback, slipped throughone tackle Belik Autry, I think got
the hand in there and was ableto pull them down. It was Malik,
You're right, able to slip throughMalik just a bit and lunge ahead.
Though he gets down to the eighteenyard line. It'll be third down
and four third, three thirty threeto play here against the Cougars of Clay
(01:37:42):
Chaukville. Bulldogs leaded ten nothing, only play in one a half and we
got three twenty four left down tothe eighteen to two receivers to the right
side, a single receiver to theleft side. Fry gets the stamp,
hands into the tailback and he istripped up inside a good stop there by
(01:38:02):
Ty Hudson, the linebacker. Nowyou know, if they were smart,
they'd go on and kick a fieldgoal right here. And I think they're
thinking that. They're thinking that throughcoach. They call the time out.
Three minutes to go. We'll stepaside. The Bulldogs leading right now ten
to nothing, but a time outby Clay Chalfill. We're back after this.
(01:38:24):
Out of the time out, here'sKlay Schalfill. Fourth down in two
quarterback Fry, he's got two backseither side and hands it to the back
to the right side. He's trippedup. He's not gonna get it.
Fourth down stop by the Bulldogs. What a play Smiley there. Also coming
up was number seven Tyler Moore.Big stop there on that right side,
(01:38:45):
and the defense gets the stand onfourth and two out of the timeout too,
and Coach, that was a realserve right in the formation too.
They had two backs and that wasa good stop there by. The defense
ran that outside zone over to theleft side, and boy, we just
know heck out of them there. Now we've got to be able to run
this clock and make a first down. We make a first down, the
(01:39:08):
game's over all right, two fiftythree left heres, we're just playing one
half again. Reminder for those listeningto watching ten nothing as our score o
Palaika with the lead coming back outas Kobe Key, the sophomore quarterback,
Bulldogs will have it first and tenfrom their own eighteen yard line, hand
off right side. He had stoodup there at the twenty one. Good
(01:39:28):
pushed there. As the Dogs comein there and push that pile across the
twenty five. With the forward progress, it's going to be all the way
up to the twenty nine yard line. That's going to be a nine yard
pickup. That was Tommy Johnson gettingan assist from his whole offense. There
like a nine suck it down oneso second down in one now or a
great run right there super as theball is up to the twenty eight yard
(01:39:55):
line, need the twenty nine forthe first down. Get this first down.
Johnson remains in there at the tailbackhand off goes to Johnson. Johnson
bounced his right side. He's gotthe first down. He's up to the
thirty one yard line, and thatwas a three yard pick up there by
Tommy Johnson. They get another loaddown, so another first down for the
(01:40:20):
Bulldogs. That's a Lambert transferrings towardsfirst down. We got two oh five
to play here inside Bulldog Stadium. The clock stopped. I think they have
not blown the play ready yet,is the only thing I can think of
now it we're going. He's takinghis job, he's taking his time.
That was ten seconds under two togo. Now. Dogs look like they're
(01:40:41):
gonna throw Kobe Key. His pressureis gonna turn it up field and he's
gonna slide down wisely in bounds atthe thirty one yard line, right back
at the line of scrimmage. Sothat was a smart play. To keep
the clock running here one forty three, and the clock continues to run here
as the Bulldogs lead at ten overclay Chalkville. Thanks, Sankey's back in
(01:41:04):
there now. I took a timeout up clay Chalk. We're going to
burn a time out. We'll stepaside. Dogs lead it to nothing,
one forty three to go here inour spring game against the Cougars, we're
back after this here on the kickerback to action. It is Sankey in
a quarterback. He hands it toTommy Johnson, who's got a big hole
here in the near side. AndJohnson's all the way up to midfield that
(01:41:27):
we'll keep the clock running here, mark him down to the forty nine of
clay Chapel. Are moving it backright to midfield. Big play there,
all the way up for a nineteenyard Lambert transfer in storage, first down.
Coach mccrackett, Yes, sir,yes sir, yes sir, And
that did it. All we needto do is just run the clock out
now. Sanky gets the stamp. One twenty one to play. They'll hand
(01:41:50):
it here near side. Tommy Johnsongood some good moves. He spins across
the forty five and he's down atthe forty four, Mac, what do
you think about these running backs?I know Calvin went to little ankle injury
and certainly hope he's okay. ButJohnson and Waits have really carried the load.
Yeah, you're right, man.We got a lot of depth this
year, which is really really good. Man. All of them can tote
(01:42:11):
the rock and it's just it's reallygood to see the way the Dogs play
this evening. I mean, fromthe defense pitching the shutout, like I
said, offense getting the things thatneed to be done. We'll clean up
the little little things, like Dadsaid, just the little little things that
will get you beat in the fall. Will clean those up. But I
mean, just a great home offootball, guys. All right, from
the forty three, there's a handoffleft side and on the carry, No,
(01:42:35):
don't do that. A little pushingand shoving there after the play that
was Jordan waits on the carry andwaits not much there. It's gonna be
a third and two coming up herefor the bullet office. Just get on
there, staying down on it.I mean, I don't think Opelac will
have to run another place. Seventeenseconds down to fifteen and take a knee,
(01:42:56):
and we have won the game. We've one to half. It wasn't
the half, that's for sure.Half that's right. The Dogs will let
one final play go here. They'llhand it off to Jordan Waits. He
stopped in the backfield. The lateflag comes in, but I think that
will be can't end the game ona flag, I see. I think
(01:43:19):
they can in the spring game maybethough we'll see sending the players back to
their respective sidelines. Is we gotzero's on the clock here, and I
believe that will be a That isyour ball game. One half of play
(01:43:41):
is all the Dogs needed tend nothing. But I tell you what a lot
of positive scene here tonight. We'lltake a break, we'll come back and
we'll hear from coach Moore and companyafter this time out. You're listening to
Bulldog football here on the kicker. We're back here in Bulldogs Stadium. A
big celebratory huddle there for the Dogsas they took care of business here in
(01:44:03):
the half of play against the defendingsix A state champs. This is a
really good football team, coach. They won two of the last three six
A state championships. We know howtough that sarahly a bunch is and they
wanted against them last year up intuscal Loosa. Now I know they've got
some big pieces off this team thatare off that team that's no longer on
(01:44:23):
this team. And the same cango for Opelika. Of course, Opalik
are replacing a might as well, say a three year starting quarterback in Roman
Gagliano. I thought we saw goodthings from both quarterbacks here in this varsity
game. Kolby Key really looked impressive. C J. Sanki did some good
things as well. That paddle willcontinue between those two. But the one
good thing, regardless of who winsthat battle, coach, you know you
(01:44:43):
got a good, solid backup. So that's one good thing you can absolutely
and I'll tell you what I wasthinking about during the game. We did
not turn the ball over. Wedid not have an interception, and we
did not fumble the football, AmI right? That's right? No turnovers
And so when you play like that, the only thing we did is we
(01:45:04):
we missed that one drive and theythey got down there that the thirty or
thirty five, and then UH gotthat we got the ball back and UH
stopped him on that fourth down,so it was great. Listen, this
is a completely different group here playingtonight, and I'm I'm really, I
(01:45:29):
am so proud and happy to situp here with you and cheer for the
Opalika Bulldogs because this is a heckvan. This could be special. I
know seven A's gonna be a differentanimal now, and I know the season's
gonna be tough, but these kidsare gonna work all the way through the
summer, all the way through, and Brian's gonna stay on him and we're
(01:45:56):
gonna we're gonna be good. Allright, We're gonna take a quick break
as our post game show is justunderway. Coach More is going to join
us up here in the booth herecoming up in recap tonight's spring game,
a big ten nothing win for theDogs against play Chalkville, a really good
football program and a good big testfor this dog team tonight. As the
JV earlier fell in a tight wineight to nothing, the Bulldog varsity comes
back and wins this one ten tonothing, and really, Coach had a
(01:46:18):
chance to stretch it even more thanthat. We'll continue with our postgame show
after this time out. You're listeningto Bulldog Football here on the kicker back
here to Bulldog Stadium, Van raiselosside coach Pence mccrackett, Mac mccrackett and
also coach Brian Moore, all inthe booth now with us and coach.
(01:46:40):
First off, well, congratulations, first win, even though it was a
half against a really good football team, and in this spring game here tonight.
I know a lot of positives youcan take away from this game and
you get a victory. Yeah,I'm excited about that. I mean,
yeah, tons of positives. Tonsof things to work on too. You
know how we coach US coaches,You know, you gotta start with red
zone issues right there. You know, two misalignments on the first one,
(01:47:04):
got court intercept the ball down thereto two and uh we missaligned. And
then the next one we have negativeplays can happen and uh, next one
we drive down there, miss afield goal, you know, And so
this game should have been pushed out, you know in the regular season.
You got you got to finish thesepeople when you can, you know.
But just proud of uh, proudof our special teams tonight. Besides the
miskicking races is gonna be a greatplayer. Johnny hit a big field goal.
(01:47:26):
I thought our kickoff coverage was reallygood. But it starts with Johnny
because if he's not gonna kick anthe end zone, he's got to put
that thing in that third over there. And he kicked it right on top
of the numbers and we bottled themup and both of them were tackled inside
the twenty. I thought that washuge. I thought we punted it really
well. I thought Zion punted itwell. Boat one inside the ten.
The other one was boomed down there. That rolled. The only thing,
the only thing special teams was wasthe the We didn't feel the punt.
(01:47:49):
One time we had an opportunity,we didn't feel it. Let it roll.
But I'm proud of our kids, man, I tell you this,
If they feel like I do rightnow, they are absolutely exhausted from Christmas
to now, just what we've doneand how how hard we've pressed the gas
these last four months. But Itell you this, this was the biggest
takeaway in the game for me wasour defensive line and how they controlled the
(01:48:09):
line of scrimmage. They're strong, man, They're big and strong. Uh,
they did their job. They didn'trun up field and uh, they
squeezed and played with their hands andjust I bet they had negative yard rushing.
I just thought I was really pleasedwith those kids. Uh. And
then ty Hudson and our linebackers TylerMoore and Ajuh just really played well.
And then our back end capping offagain. It one big play in the
middle of field. We didn't getunderneath and our safeties Rover top we tackled
(01:48:31):
him and made them snap it againand got a fourth down stop. So
that's what you got to do.Proud of our kids, but again,
a lot to fix. We gota whole summer to do it. All
right, Coach, real quick,I know Calvin little ankle injury there,
and to tell us how Carson is. I know that looks scary for a
minute. Yeah, thank praise theLord. I mean, got out there
and he's moving his hands and feet, and that was That's always what I
looked for first, you know,is he moving and and he was and
(01:48:54):
it was the side of his necks, so we felt good about that.
It was in the back of hisneck, and so Carson's gonna be fine.
Probably in regular season game would havegone again. You know, Doc
was right there on the scene withus. Doctor Wilson right there, you
know, And that makes you feelgood too, you know that, you
cause I don't know a dang thingabout it. I just get out there
and hold their hand and whatever, you know, and you know, just
make sure they're okay because and justhope that they're fine. But good there.
(01:49:16):
Calvin, Calvin really has been nursinga hamstring. You know. He's
so so strong and tight that it'shard to get him to stretch. He's
not very flexible, and he pullsthat dang hamstring. Uh. And we've
worked on it and worked on it, and we'll get there by the end
of the summer. He'll be fine. We need him to be a workhorse.
I mean, I thought Jordan Waite'scame in and played really well.
I thought Tommy Johnson played well, really hard. And Tommy's first real work
(01:49:38):
on the Varsita level. So pleasewith that group. I know you don't
know much about this Klay Chalkwell team. I mean they've won two of the
last three six A state championships. You're familiar with him from being up in
the North Alabama area, and that'sa that's a group right there. I
know they're gonna be just fine, and that was a big test for your
team with him, I no doubt. I mean they're young. Offensively,
they lost, you know, abunch and you could tell that, you
know, we got after him prettygood. Their young q's he's gonna be
(01:50:00):
a junior. Uh, kind ofrunning first life a little bit there early,
but they're gonna be just fine.Their defense is really good. They
kept I mean, I don't knowhow many snaps we had offensive, but
a bunch of them, and wekept getting the ball back and getting short
fields. I felt like we playedthe whole ball game on their side.
And uh, I thought we reallyreally did a good job there as far
as the field position. And Ialways say, kind of choke them out,
you know, you kind of pinthem back there and they feel like
(01:50:21):
they can't get loose, and youknow, they can't throw the ball over
your head because they're trying to runand get out of there. And uh,
we just didn't let them out, man. We just kept them all
night backed up. And uh,I thought we wanted a field position game
handily. Uh and that starts withspecial teams and uh, but I was
really pleased up but again that yeah, that's a that's a I mean,
you know, like we talked aboutMatt pregame. You know that's a defending
(01:50:42):
state champ coming in here tonight. And uh so, a good friend of
mine text me right when I gotthe job and we announced we're gonna play
Clay. He said, you jumpingoff in the hornet's nest right here,
and I laughed. I said, man, we want to test and see.
We want to play the best andget ourselves ready for the next fall.
All right, tend nothing to winhere, and I'm gonna let coach
jump in. And coach usually givesyou about a motivational speech. It may
not be a question here or not, but well we'll see if there's a
(01:51:03):
question in here. I don't haveany questions for my friend. But I
will say this, Brian. Ilook back at your game and the JV
game, and I know that Isaw you down there during the JV game
and you it was like so frustrating, and I know you were thinking the
same thing. I was thinking. All we had to do was tackle better
(01:51:27):
in that JV game. And theydon't score, no, I mean,
we just missed some tackles. Incredible, and but I thought we played the
JV's played well. The little eighthgraders they got after it now they yeah,
and they you know, they gaveup a little. That coach told
me, he said, I hadto let everybody play, coach, and
(01:51:48):
he said that one group I putin there, they didn't play very good
run defense. Right. But butI will say this in your game too
tonight. You stop the run,and you're absolutely right. When a team
cannot run on somebody and they haveto throw, that's when you got them.
(01:52:10):
And you had them, you hadthem, and and god, what
a front four that that's a beautifulgroup. It's the best. It's the
best I can ever remember from evenwhen you were here. Coach. That's
a we're big and talented and gotthem everywhere. And and then the linebackers
add so much some way. Theyrun fit, and and we're old and
the secondary five of the of thesix guys that play back there are are
(01:52:32):
seniors. And so you know,we feel like if we can keep the
thing in front of us and notlet people throw it over our head,
they're gonna have a hard time drivein the field. You know, we're
gonna play some really good people thatare going to put together some drives and
we're gonna have to bow up.But I thought that our front four controlled
the game. I thought Coach Masseycalled a great game defensively, he mixed
it up, changed coverage, justplayed some zero coverage from time to time.
(01:52:54):
Because I told him when I gotback, I said, you know
what are we doing now? Youknow, tell me more about the defensive
Coach, we play more, youknow, millfield clothes zone and pressure and
hot coverage. And I say,Coach, I really think you can play
some man coverage. I think wecan get back to that with our back
end now being able to send somepressures and be able to hold up on
the back. And I thought wedid that tonight and just keep mixing that
(01:53:15):
up. As an offensive former offensiveplay caller, to me, those mixture
mixtures are just really tough on theback. When they can change coverages and
get down and play in your faceand bring pressures from different areas, it
makes it really tough to call thegame great quarterback pressures on their quarterback.
The only time they didn't is whenthey threw that one pass and that boy
threw that ball, he went boomboom, and you didn't have any time
(01:53:39):
to get to it. Anyway, congratulations, I'm so happy for you and
uh, I look forward to thesummer and uh and get to be with
you guys, and god, Macand I are jacked. Sir Mack,
you got something, Coach Moore.Uh, you know we talked of course
when you got here and everything, and you were it was like Christmas morning.
(01:54:00):
You got the new turf, yougot the Jumbo trying, you got
the led lights which the flashing iscoming that we were told by Jimmy Williams
that but just you know the dognation that's driving home right now and everything.
Give them ale insight. I knowyou guys are gonna review this film
tomorrow and everything, but kind ofget them a little bit of Okay,
how much break do you give theguys the summer before you revent work out
and stuff like that. This kindof give them a little insight of what
(01:54:23):
the summer looks like getting ready forfall. Yeah, we'll actually take tomorrow
and serve. We've got a communityproject that we're going to go and do
in the morning. You know,it's hard on these night Like I said,
I'm exhausted. I stay up reallate and watch the film. But
to be able to present the kidswith what I think is a quality review.
Probably will take me till Monday. You know, in a regular week,
you go the weekend or at leasta Sunday and give the kids a
(01:54:44):
review. I just like to cool, you know, you know, get
twenty four hours away from it andfigure out how we played. And so
Monday we'll watch the film and we'lllift one time next week and get ready
for finals. I want one liftto knock the soren us out and get
them. Get them a week offthe next week after graduations, take that
whole week off. I've learned thevalue of taking a little more time off
these days than we used to.We used to go four days a week
(01:55:06):
and we would be right back atit. And I felt like our kids'
bodies didn't last. They didn't holdup at the end of the season November
and December when you were playing. And uh so we'll take a week and
then June third, we'll start back. We'll go Monday through Wednesday with lifting.
We'll go four hours. We'll feedthem breakfast down lunch or thank goodness
for our lunch room staff, they'llfeed them both, continue to fill them
full of protein. Uh and andthen on Thursdays in June. Uh,
(01:55:30):
we'll go to college seven or seven. So we go to Auburn, U,
A B, and Troy and uhwe go compete in those one for
competition too, so our kids canbe seen by those college coaches. You
know. It gives them an opportunityget on campus, you know. And
hey, I said, man, ain't no better shot than this one.
You go out there and do yourthing. That guy is standing right there,
you know, Coach Freeze is standingright over there, you know,
and uh, you got a chanceto do it in front of him.
(01:55:53):
Man, that's the best, youknow, the best thing you can do.
And so we'll do that and thenwe have a team event that last
Thursday, the twenty seven. We'regonna go fishing. We're gonna go fishing
and cook some burgers and just decompress, you know a little bit, and
spend some time together, because that'swhat it's about. Man, if they
trust you. These kids are startingto trust our staff. You can see
it, you know, the buyin and uh, you know, they
(01:56:13):
believe what you say. And Ithink that goes further than anything. And
then in July we'll get to we'llget to four o t as. So
we go two scripted OTAs, whichis an organized team activity, which is
an eleven on eleven will be oneon one, seven on seven. We'll
compete with a couple of teams thereand then we've got two eleven on elevens.
Nowadays we play eleven eleven football inthe summer. Now we kick and
ad that stuff is dead, butwe kick. Go through our special teams.
(01:56:36):
You can see where I think we'rereally improved in that phase. And
we'll continue to work it through thesummer and then man fall camp will be
here before we know it. SoI'm excited about that, excited about the
summer. I think we're gonna worksmart, work efficient, feed them like
crazy, continue to get bigger, continue to get stronger. Our new strength
