and Storage and by Auburn Opelika Tourism Live to the
Stadium and the voice of the Bulldogs and Riggs.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Well, it has been a game that has the side
of the playoffs the past couple of years for the
Opelika Bulldogs and those past couple of wins went to
the Dothan Wolves. Opalika will try to turn that as
they head down the home stretch here in a very
tough Region seven A Region Boy last four games of
the season, starting here tonight against the Dothan High Wolves
here a Rip Hughes Stadium at a night that is

(01:40):
a little misty, rainy and a pretty good breeze blowing
across the field here tonight here in Dothan, Alabama. Van
Riggs alongside coach Spence McCracken. Bag McCracken out tonight, but
we do have Jason Lee that we roam on the sidelines.
Jeremy Till will be spotting here high atop the stadium
at Rip Hughes Boy these last four games at Dothan
here tonight, then next week at home against Enterprise Central

(02:01):
Phoenix City, and on the road against Carmel the Thursday
night at Crampton Ball will be what this season is
all about here for the Opelika Bulldogs and coach. This
win here tonight for Opelika could very well set the
stage for the first playoff birth in seven eight for
this Bulldog team. And I think it's almost a must
win from both teams tonight.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
That is a that is a great statement.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
That's a great goal for the Bulldogs and uh, hey,
we got to play the game van and see what happens.
I think we'll we'll give a great, great uh effort tonight.
And this is a good football team we're playing.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
This is gonna be.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
One of those I wish people could watch this on TV.
Is this game on TV in FHS network? Okay, well,
they gonna run a bunch of single wing and old country.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Coach of mind, what's told.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Me when you're playing against teams like this defensively, just
stay at home and eventually the ball will come back
around there to you. And that makes a lot of
sense because you're gonna see all kinds of fakes and
runs and all that kind of stuff. But hey, Brian,
Brian's got him ready to play, and uh, I'm looking
forward to this.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
It's gonna be a tough game.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Two years ago, you know, we came down here and
uh we had to fight the Alabama State band and we.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Had to fight.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
I'm not gonna say anything bad about officials because I
was told.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Not to do that.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
So, uh that wasn't great anyway.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
And listen, before I throw it back to you, I'm
gonna give a shout out to Mac.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Max's not gonna be here tonight.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
His son got bit by a copperhead yesterday and had
to go to Birmingham and but he's okay, doing good.
And his wife got bit too, but she's okay, and
we pray for them, and and we're gonna miss him tonight.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
All right, Matt and listening to us, I know back
and the comforts of his own home tonight. Well, I
can tell you coach got to stop the rush, and
that's hep to do against Oathan. They've now rushed for
at least two hundred and sixty rushing yards in five
consecutive matchups. And it'll start with the defense or opalike a tonight.
That will determine this game. We come back, we'll have
a visit with coach Brian Moore. As we continue with
our pregame show. It's presented to you by Frederick Dean

(04:14):
Funeral Home. As we come to you from the Orthopedic
Clinic Broadcast Booth here high Top Ripheu Stadium in Dothan, Alabama.
We're back after this time out here on the Kicker.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Now it's time for a pregame visit with Opelanca head
football coach Brian Moore, presented by South State Bank. Now
with coach Here's Van Riggs.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Palm Stretch starts here tonight at Ripheu Stadium and doth
Then alongside coach Brian Moore. I'm Van Riggs coach. We've
been building for this one and it starts tonight with
this tough Dothan team.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
Yeah, I mean it really does. I mean they're really talented.

Speaker 6 (04:46):
You know, I know that they've lost three games in
a row, but got ley a touchdown to each of
the teams and that are really top of our region.
So they've got a really good team, very unorthodox and
how they go about their business.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
And how they run their offense.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
So you know, it's been different, been a different week
of prep, but you know it's been a good week,
and I think, you know, I think we'll be ready.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Had a tough test last week coach against the Pike
Road team that really came in We knew it was
going to kind of be their super Bowl, the first
seven eight team to ever come in there, and that
was a big challenge for your team, and I think
after a couple of easy weeks, that was a good
challenge to.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
Have no doubt.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
I mean, they were really good and we knew there
were you know, their scores didn't look great, you know,
going into that game, but we knew that they had
a really talented team. They got a couple of pieces back,
specifically the linebacker five that made every play in the game,
it felt like, but you know, we didn't play.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
Our best, but it was good to get a win.
You know, we're up twenty one nothing.

Speaker 6 (05:33):
We got to finish and you know, kind of kind
of finish people as we have them down, and we
just didn't do a very good job of that.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
So hopefully we'll be better moving forward. We have leads
like that.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
I know we were talking, you're going to be challenged,
I know, to air it out, especially this dothing team
probably going to bring the pressure to try to stop
the run. That's what a lot of teams are going
to do to try and take Calvin out of the equation.
That's gonna put a lot of pressure on the quarterbacks
and receivers, no doubt.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
I mean, and you can do it different ways.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
I mean, obviously, you know, if I'm coaching against Opalaika
right now, I'm doing the same thing, packing the.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
By and getting guys in there. But we do have
guys that can win.

Speaker 6 (06:03):
And you know, we've got to continue to give Kolbe
more freedom and stretch the ball, not just vertically down
the field, but horizonally two on our screen game because
we've been so good at it, especially our perimeter blocking
with Brody and Blake getting the ball out to Jamari.
So that's got to be part of our plan. And
we got to be a little bit more balanced. Like
we talked about all.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Year, What would you like to see from your defense
on that side to keep improving on as we hit
this tough stretch coming up.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
Yeah, just consistency. I mean it's really conversions.

Speaker 6 (06:28):
You know, Like our defense I thought played really well
against Pike Road last week, but you know, we weren't
very good on third down. They were like sixty five
percent on third down, which can't happen, and so we've
got to get off the field we have an opportunity.
And then you know, add into that there were four
or five on fourth down, so that's that's not very good.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
And you know, we gave a a touchdown at the
end of the game. We shouldn't have given up.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
We cut a guy loose in a base coverage the
day one install coverage, and so we got to coach
a little bit better and get our kids ready to play.
But we got to understand the significance of those down
and distances.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
And we got to be able to get off the field.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
And I know, specially teams wise, is always big. A
couple of mistakes there in the special teams, but a
couple of good plays as well.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
Yeah, I mean really outside of the return issue, which
was catastrophic. I mean his first time this year were
giving the ball away, but you know, I just I
was frustrated with that.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
We didn't go after that ball. We worked out a lot,
but again we've.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
Moved some pieces, some guys a little bit more comfortable
in their role now.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
But that's on us. You know, we've got to make
sure that we understand.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
The possibilities of those pop kicks and surprise on sides
and things like that. But I thought overall it was
actually our best night in special teams.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Other than a.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
Miss field goal, which was a long field goal, I
thought we were extremely solid.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
And again that group continues.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
To improve and we continue to pour into that phase
and we feel like we're six and oh so far
in that.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
And a real test with tempo too, as Pike Road
really tried to turn the tempo up. Substitution I know
was a challenge at some points in that game too.

Speaker 5 (07:46):
Yeah, high school football is very different than college football.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
You know, being able to get a guy in and
you know the umpire hold, you know, the offense that
doesn't happen in high school football.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
So it's fair game.

Speaker 6 (07:55):
So as fast as you can get a play in there,
I know coach Chandler knew that that would be an
edge for them, and we hadn't really seen that. We
did practice it a good bit last week, but until
you play fifty sixty snaps and still you know guys
are pressing the gas, you know, it's hard to simulate that.
So you know, we've got some answers to that We're
going to do a better job with our rotations. We've
got to play more kids and I think it'll help
us moving forward.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
All Right, we'll continue our visit with coach Brian Moore
for this time out. Your let's open like a bulldog
football here on the kicker. Welcome back here at Refe
Stadium as we get ready for tonight's big region matchup
against Dothan Van Rigs alongside coach Brian Moore and coach
This is a tough one to prepare for. You hard
to simulate it. It practice. The way Dothan runs this offense.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
There's no question.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
I mean speed of the game, you know, getting downhill,
all the false influenced stuff, the eye candy stuff that they.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Do, the single wing stuff. Man, it's a.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
Really really unique, difficult offense to defend. You know, we've
worked really hard at it this week, my kids, you know,
my scout guys.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
Is kind of my role on the team, and you know.

Speaker 6 (08:56):
Our scout guys have done a tremendous job this week,
going all the way back to Sunday preparing for this.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
So really pleased with them.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
But again, there is no way to simulate it in
the speed of the game, so we'll have to be
really good with our eyes.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
That's the deal.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
You know, you get your eyes in the wrong spot,
you know, much like what happened to Cord in the
Auburn game. If your eyes aren't perfect, you know, they'll
throw it over your head after running it fifteen times
in a row. That's what makes it really difficult. But again,
I think we've learned a lot in our discipline and
our attention to detail has been really good this week.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Excited to see us tonight.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Yeah, And defensively, I know they've given up a lot
of points when you look at their scores, though offensively
and defensively they've been able to even things up because
they've been tight one possession loss us in these three
tough aging games that they play.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
They're really really good on offense.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
I mean, obviously, you know all those scores are you know,
thirty five twenty eight, and that's kind of how those
scores look. You know, they're able to score points, and
you know they've had some turnovers. I fully and just
paid no turnovers tonight. That's kind of our luck a
little bit. But you know, I think that our guys
are again ready for the challenge there again, no way
to really simulate. The key is though, you got to

(10:02):
make them drive the football. You can't give them the
easy ones, the counters for sixty yards or the you know,
post wheel for a touchdown, or the throwback or double
pass or any of those kinds of things that they have.
You know, part of the single wing is so much trickeration.
You know, there's so much, so many moving parts. Is
hard to find the football back there, and they're so
packed in there, and they're huge up front. But you know,
again we'll be challenged tonight, but our defense has gotten

(10:24):
better every week and we're just encouraged by their progress.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Coach, if you had to, you know, say one thing
we've gotten to do this tonight to win this ball game.
What is it?

Speaker 6 (10:33):
We can't The ball can't be thrown over our heads.
I mean, it just can't happen. You know, you look
back at Pike Road and you look back at Auburn.
In those games we've had some bust you know, whether
it's between the hashes or a big post, that can't happen.
You can't lose a guy on a late wheel or
you know, they run some type of sally play and
then the guy throws it back down the field.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
You know, you just can't have that happen.

Speaker 6 (10:54):
A double pass or a fight song type throw that you.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
Know goes down the middlefield.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
That can't happen where they sneak align or eligible receiver
in there. You know, those kinds of things have to
be capped off because again, they're gonna drive it some.
I mean, they're gonna be able to hit power and
counter you know, obviously got a spill and do a
great job there, but ultimately can't give them those easy ones.
And then offensively, you know, we've got to be able
to hit some throws. We continue to talk about it
every week, but it's too hard to move the ball

(11:20):
in seven a football at four yards in a cloud
of dust. I mean, people are too talented up front,
Dothan included. You've got to have some explosives. I know
coach McCracken toss about that all the time, but you've
got to have those big plays to create some easy offense.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
All right, coach, good luck tonight, let's go get them.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
Thank you and go dogs.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Head coach Brian Moore, we're back with more from Dothan.
Right off this time out. You're listening to bulldog football
here on the Kicker.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
You are listening to OPA like a high school football
here on ninety seven point seven Kicker FM. Now it's
time for coach Bence mccrackens key's to the game, presented
by Glenn Smith. You ever lay gmc and Opelie John
and get ready to smile.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
All right, Coach mccrancky. One, we got to do to
win this big reason game tonight.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
That's gonna be a big fight tonight. This is gonna
be a fistfight all the way through. We've got a defensively,
we have to stop their running game, and we need
to get them off the field as quickly as possible.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Don't let them run the ball.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Well.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
I think in the first half.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
We don't need to give up more than two big
plays a run over ten or a pass over fifteen.
And then we need to get some turnovers van and
we need to stop them on third and fourth down.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
I'm gonna tell you that about three or.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
Four times third and fourth down conversions. And don't have
any stupid penalties, especially in the secondary, and get off
the field, and we need to have more possessions than
they have offensively, we need to run the football and
we need to keep the foot from them.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
It's gonna be a big takeaway game.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
Don't turn the ball over.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
We need eight big plays in the first half, at
least eight big plays. Ten yard run, fifteen yard pass,
no stupid penalties, and we need to convert on all
third and fourth down situations. Play a good, clean special
teams game, and we'll win the football game if we

(13:26):
handle all that tonight.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
And one other thing.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
Remember I've always told you fans this, the first five
minutes of the game, last five minutes of the half,
first five minutes of the third quarter, and last five
minutes of the game. Get charged up, because we win
those twenty minutes, we should win the football game tonight.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Go Dolghs.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
All right, thanks so much, coach s Bence McCracken's Keys
to the Game, presented to you each week by Glen Smith,
Chevy GMC and Opeli could get ready to smile, Opelika
captas nine Jamari Miller, Zion Henderson, Ty Hudson, and Malik Altry.
Looks like Jayden Barnes will be a captain here for
Dothan and Jason Lee our Sideline reporter, and I bringing

(14:10):
us our four seasons Federal Credit Union Sideline reports tonight
in for Mac McCracken, number thirty four, also a captain
Gabe Smith and number six Zach Walker. Also number fifty
eight Mohammed Rashata sixty eight our sixty eight. I should say,
Lewis Snell a captain there for the doth and Wolves,
and we'll head down for tonight's coin toss.

Speaker 7 (14:35):
Yeah, help free talking to both teams about just the
rules of courtsmanship all that, and then we'll get the
coin toss. If Opelaca wins, they want to defer to
the seca half.

Speaker 8 (14:43):
All right, we'll tell you this is your warning right
now when I walk up to you and Katy to
go to the sign and learn where you pant. Don't
question it, just go on over though. Okay, so you
tell your teammates the same thing, all right. Now Now
to six y'all to this and team I got o'
John F. Kennedy, if you would let us all know
what you're gonna call before we flip his collin to

(15:05):
he said, and my umpire said, Tale die.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
We allrea ignowed you call Tale. If I drop it
would do it again.

Speaker 8 (15:11):
Okay, it is tale that means you win the tall
before he warned the Firs.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
All right, so o palaikah winning the tall. So John F.
Kennedy there on the side for the Bulldogs. I guess
that coach mccrack.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
I like that history right there.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
That's great. So we'll see Dothan's offense. Get the football first.
We'll come back after this time out. You're listening to
Bulldog football here on the kicker. The Bulldogs take the
field here at rip Youse Stadium ahead of the night's
big matchup against the doth In. The Wolves time down
for game conditions, and they are brought to you by

(15:47):
our friends and First Baptist Church Opelik are proud to
support Opelaca City Schools. If you can't make it a church,
listen the entire worship service every Sunday at eleven am
right here on the kicker. Gonna be some rain in
the forecast through about nine o'clock tonight. It's light rain,
that's the good news. Nothing real heavy right now. Temperature
city at seventy three degrees. When we come back, it's
kickoff here from Ripews, Dothan and the opal Aika Bulldogs.

(16:11):
But first let's paust ten seconds for station identification. KKR
Auburn Opalaika is Lee County's Best Country ninety seven point
seven Kicker FM and iHeart Country Station. Welcome back here

(16:31):
to rip Use Stadium as we get ready to kick off.
AJ Alexander Deep for the Wolves, and it will be
Reese Beasley who has it teed up getting ready to
kick things off for the Bulldogs here against the Dothan Wolves.
Opal like in the red pants tonight, white tops, red
numbers outlined in black, red helmets, gray tops for Dothan,
and it's maroon numbers outlined in white, white pants, white

(16:53):
helmets for the Wolves. Here's Reese Beasley and puts a
boot into this one. It's towards the left corner and
hints and rolls out of bounds and that's gonna be
a penalty. And the Wolves have a pretty good field
position starting from there on thirty five yard line.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
Yeah, that wasn't nothing. Preadn't a good way to start.
They don't get we don't want to start like that.
Gotta do better in that race, all right. Look, we
got TJ. Thomas Lightfootjet Kyle Lightfoot Malik Autrey and he
Marris Smiley up front, Ty Hudson and Tyler Moore. Your backers,
Devin Dixon and Court Ingram, your corners, Carson Marsh's strong safety,

(17:32):
Tyres Pitts and kiv and King your safeties.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
All right, gonna be a tough offense to follow those
watched on the NFL Just Network. We'll certainly do our best.
It's that single wing and it will be a direct
snap to Barnes who tries to work the left side,
and a good stop there in front by the Bulldog defense.
A host of red pants there to bring down Jayden Barnes.
Ty Hudson I believe was first there.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
It didn't make anything, no good.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
James and Jokai Lightfoot also in there.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Yeah, Lightfoot, Thomas or they hate It's all about it.
Told you man, this is stop the run. Stop the run,
Stop the run.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Sam Broadway, their starting quarterback has been banged up and
looks like he's out there in the shotgun formation. Of course,
that doesn't mean a whole lot. He may not get
the football. Second down in ten, the snap will go
to him and they'll throw far side of the field
and a tackle made by Kivian King right there to
bring down the wide receiver and that's going to be

(18:31):
just a pickup of a yard as he got it
out into Jaden Barnes and it's going to be third
down and nine. You notice Fan the snap.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
For slow slow, and I don't think that is their
first string center in there now.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
They've lost two linemens since the Awka week.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Yeah, so this should help the dogs out.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Well, they'll give them forward progress up to the thirty eight,
it looks like, so it will be a third down
and seven here for the Wolves. Out of the shotgun
quarterback Broadway, a little toss play in the middle there,
and this is going to be a first down across
midfield goes the backer Tanner Johnson the block and back
who got a little shuffle pass. Well designed play there,
my coach Kennedy, and it picks up a first down

(19:14):
as they get it down to the forty eight of
opal Anka and that play picked up right at sixteen yards.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Now that's that little shuffle pass.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
Hey, we gotta keep folks in the middle of the field.
Quit running out from your territory. Stay at home.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Tyrese Pence was in there on that stop. So first
and ten for the Wolves at the opal Aka forty
eight yard line, and this snap will go to Alexander
right side and he's gonna be brought down at the
forty four yard line. Amari Smiley on the stop. Yeah,
that's too much Van four yards on the play there
for the Wolves fall down to the Bulldog forty four

(19:52):
yard line. Ten oh two. We're just underway here in
the first quarter. Coming to you from Ripheu Stadium, Dan Ricks, coach,
Spence McCracken, Jason Lee our sideline reported tonight in for
mac McCracken, who's listening to us, and Jeremy till Is
our spotder from the forty four Othan will be second
and six, almost shoe to shoe, a shotgun formation, and

(20:15):
the snap will go to Alexander work in the near side.
He's got the first down and Ty Hudson just got
him or he was gone down the sidelines all the
way to the thirty six four and eight yard pick
up in another first down for the Wolves. Now we've
had no success stopping him.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
Yeah, in eleven yards rushing Sea yard eighteen yards.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Passing Oathan opening drive of the game here at rip
Hughes had a third and long converted and now moving
it down the field first and ten at the thirty
six of Opalaika, shotgun snap will go to Alexander, dropped it,
picked it up, go straight ahead and then he is
met by Tremaine Thomas and he's going to be held
up at the thirty four yard line and was able

(21:00):
to pick up a couple of yards on a busted
snap there. I think he just dropped it.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Ah, they bummy. Still they still gave him.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Three yards man, I sure it did. Yeah, taking them
so it'll be second and eight. Yeah, they moved it
back to the thirty five, so it will be second
down to nine. Hey at forty seven o'clock running here
in the first quarter, opening drive of the game. Here
for the Dothan Wolves. They're trying to snap three straight losses,
but to really good teams Enterprise Central, Phoenix City and Carver.
But they had a week off to get ready for

(21:28):
the Opalika Dogs tonight. At the thirty four of Opalika,
quick snap to the blocking back and Malik Autry wasn't
full there. He pulls him down right at the thirty
three yard line. He will pick up a couple of yards,
but another third down coming up here for of the
Dothan Wolves.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
All right, here we go third and seven. I think
this is gonna be two down territory farms. We need
to really shut them down on this play.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
All right, third and six here for Dothan. Quarterback Sam
Broadway will check in the game. They will bring him
in in passing situations, but never know. Here they'll split
everybody out wide, two to the right and a single
receiver to the left side. Block it back Tanner Johnson
in front of the quarterback here out of the shot
and gun. Hey move, they moved and a flag comes in.

(22:17):
That's gonna be a big five yard penalty and that
will make it a third and eleven coming up here
for Dothan. You mentioned coach, that was Aiden Warren who
jumped there, one of the new guys that's in on
that offensive line. So with seven forty six remaining in
the first quarter, that will back things back in A
third and eleven coming up here for Dothan.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
All right, this is a third down conversion. Now, this
is their second one. They're one of one. This is
their ninth play from scrimmage.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
At the thirty seven yard line. We will see TJ.
Vickers checking the ball game, he will bring in the play.
This is going to be a pass. Well, the passing
quarterbacks not in there.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Okay, well look for the look for a count.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
And a time out is gonna be called by coach
Kennedy as he runs in here on this third down.
Did not like what he saw. We'll take a time
out as well. Third down and eleven coming up for Dothan.
We come back. You're listening to bulldog football. You're on
the kicker. Well, it's Dothan calling a time out. Out

(23:24):
of the time out, they'll face a third and eleven
here to scoreless game in the first quarner opening drive
here for the Wolves and football at the thirty seven
yard line of opal Like, it's a third and eleven
here for Dothan. So we will see. All right, come on, Dave,
let's go zero. Jaden Barnes, he'll line up at the
quarnerback position here, two white outs to the right, single
receiver to the left side of the field. Here on

(23:47):
a third and eleven here for Dothan. See if they
drawn up out of the time out, they'll bring a
man in motion fakes the sweep and the running back
in trouble. He sat back at the fifty yard line.
Amory Smiley brings him down back at me. Feel a
huge loss on the play. Close to thirteen yards. He'll
lose back to the fifteen. That was beautiful. Wait at

(24:07):
gol mar ree. Amari smiling, not fooled on that one
as he lost. Goodness, gracious thirteen yards. Thirteen yards on
that one.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
Absolutely wonderful. What a great sack. Okay, they got to
punt it away, Bud.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Yeah, Dothan will come into punt now. Jamari Miller stands
back at around the fifteen yard line.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Looks like we're going after it.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Yeah, the do Bulldogs have everybody up there and it
is booted away and away from Jamari. He'll come up
and lost the football and Dothan picks it up. Gonna
be a turnover on the Bulldogs. They cannot return it.
What a big misqueue for Opelaika. We saw this happen
to Pike Road last week and it just happened to

(24:53):
the Bulldogs and now Dothan will have it at the
twenty two yard line of Opalaika. Boy, that was one
that Jamar just didn't see. Good coach, you could see
it or maybe just should have let that one roll.
But Dogs defense got a big step. Have to do
it again here and doth are gonna have much better

(25:13):
field position down to the twenty.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
You just can't do that against good football team. You
can't do that. Goodness all right, let's go.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
So Dothan back with a football after that turn over
by the Bulldogs at the twenty two yard line of Opalaika,
Barnes gets the snap, runs right, got through the first
line of defense before Carson Moss, the linebacker comes over
and wraps up aj Alexander number one on the carry.
But he got it down to the seventeen yard line.

(25:46):
It's a five yard pickup five yards and they'll be
second down in five coming up for Dothan. Six oh eight.
First quarter, we are scoreless. Dogs muffed a punt and
gave it right back to Dothan. That's where the Wolves are.
Second and five of the seventeen of Opalaiko. Broadway gets it,
tosses it trying to get it here to the near side,

(26:08):
got a laying across the tent and hit out of
mounds at the fifteen yard line. Jaden Barnes on that
speed sweep and he was stopped by Tyreese Pitts out
of bounds inside the five, down to the for It's
going to be first in goal for Dothan, third first down.
We lost contained Van first and goal at the forest

(26:29):
if the Dogs can stand up here. This defense has
been on the field almost the entire first quarter, where
five forty six Opali like has yet to have the football.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
This is exactly what we didn't want to see.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
It's Alexander out of the shotgun, but it he'll go
to Barns and he has hit Carson. Moss comes up
and hits him right at the line of scrimmage. He
got down, I believe, to the two. So it will
be second and goal from the two. Really tough spot
against this offense, right near the line.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Coach, all right, we cannot turn the ball over.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Five twenty two. The clock continues to run here in
the first quarter. Dothan's almost ate up this entire quarter. Yes,
we are scoreless, but the Wolves trying to punch it
in here. Alexander out of the shotgun, gets it, goes
straight up the middle and he is in for the
touchdown and Dothan strikes first. Big turnover by the Bulldogs

(27:27):
leading to that one, and the Wolves take a six
to nothing lead with five o six remaining here in
the first quarter. Jonathan Castillo in for the extra point.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
Lead.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
DJ figure goes in one of these hord books. Cain
shell House will hold for Dothan and Castillo's extra point
is up and it is good. Five oh six remaining.
First quarter, dothed and control right now early in this one.
Seven to nothing. We're back after this time out. You're

(28:06):
listening to bulldog football. Here on the kicker, well, a
Bulldog miskey on a front keeps the drive of line
for dothing and they cash it in. They lead it
seven to nothing, five oh six remaining, and here is
Castillo on the kickoff for Dothan. They'll kick it down

(28:29):
inside the twenty yard line returnable here for the Bulldogs.
That's Jalen Washington. Boy, he just got tripped up across
the thirty yard line. They'll mark him down I think
at the twenty nine and Jalen had a seam opening
up in the middle of the field, but just got
tripped up here. You're Bulldog's first time out on offense
here with just five oh one remaining here in the
first quarter, Dogs will have it first and ten from
their own twenty nine yard line. First time we get

(28:51):
to see Coleby keep, Calvin Hugley, this entire offense come
out and get to work against this Dothan defense from one.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Thomas Kyle, Jefferson, Jackson Lee, Darius Whitlow, and David Miller
up front, Kobe Lee at quarterback.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Well, big Savian Abara's back and he's a six foot
three hundred pounder up there on the front, and he's
a tough one. First and ten Dogs where they're on
twenty nine, it'll go to Hugeles wrapped up in the backfield,
got to be dropped for about a five yard loss
back to the twenty four yard line. Ezekiel Scott on
that stop, one of the defensive linemen and where they

(29:26):
key right in on Calvin on that.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
One, Quez Johnson, Blake Johnson, Calvin, hughg Lee, Brody Jones,
Jamar and Miller.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
In the backfield. Five yard loss, second and fifteen Bulldogs
with their on twenty four yard line, they'll fake it
to Hugh Lee. Now key in some trouble and just
throws it away and didn't like what he saw down field.
Had pressure coming in on him. But it's going to
be third down and fifteen coming up here for Opalika.

(29:54):
Not again start offensively. We are really starting poorly for
twenty six.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
We got pressured on that one too, Van sure did
Kobe got pressure, didn't you.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Saying nothing? Dothan leading early here. It'll be two wideouts
either side here for Colby Key as the Bulldogs happen
from their own twenty four yard line, but facing a
third and fourteen empty backfield now for Colby drops back,
throws deep down field and just overshot trying to get
it out to Quiz Johnson at around the forty five

(30:31):
yard line. Went deep there, came up empty, and it's
fourth down and here comes the punting team in for
Opelaika four twenty remaining here in the first quarter. Not
a great start by the Bulldogs. Boy Hopeful like his
defense got a huge sack back of the fifty, but
then a muffed punt led to the Dothan score and
then a three and out here by the offense, and

(30:53):
Dothan has their deep man back around the thirty five
yard line awaiting this punt from Zion Henderson. Henderson gets
a snap and he's been great and boots another good
high hanging punt and this one is caught and no
fair catch called for, but a quick tackle quickly made
at the forty five yard line. So that is where
Dothan will start first and ten with four to ten
remaining here in the first quarter. Let's go down on

(31:15):
the sidelines and check in with Jason Lee, who's in
for mac McCracken.

Speaker 7 (31:18):
Jason, not a good start here for the Bulldogs early. Yeah,
a little bit rough here the first couple of minutes.
And one of the keys coming into the game this
week that coach Moore talked about was the time of possession.
Even in our good win against Pike Rowe last week,
we lost the time possession, which heard our defense in
the fourth quarter. We find ourselves right here the same
thing here in the first quarter. Of the six seven
minutes we have in the first quarter, Dothan's been on

(31:40):
the field offensively six out of those seven minutes, so
really got to find something extra here by the defense.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
You're right about that first and ten here for Dothan.
They'll have it from their own forty five yard line.
First and ten. Quarterback broadways got it drops back throws
here near Si got somebody wide open, Keevy and King
fell down, but it's sailed out of band intended for
Jaden Barnes, and that was a break there for Opelike
as a defender. I think Keaty and just slipped down

(32:06):
or tripped up one or we're very lucky there, yea.
And so it's a wet turf. It's been a little
rainy and a little miss still continues to fall here.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Dothan's had fifteen snaps to our three right now, Van.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Well, I tell you if I'll take a pass of
Dothan incomplete right now, absolutely stops the clock with four
oh four, Broadway's going to stay in their quarterback as
he brings the play in from the sideline. Dothing up
early seven to doing four oh four and Wolves with
the football from there on forty five yard line. Broadway
will bring a man in motion and there's a flag

(32:38):
that comes in on the offensive line. Somebody got an
early start. That's gonna move the Wolves back five yards.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
That's ten yards and penalties on them. We really need
a we need a turnover right along here.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
Van kind of feel like last week coach a little bit.
But on the other end of things or Pike Roade
kind of gave Opeka the early touchdown, and op well,
I guess got to come up with a stop defensively
and get the football back. I agree with you. Maybe
one of those bad snaps can lead to a turnover
here and give the Bulldogs a little spark of momentum.

Speaker 5 (33:11):
Here.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
The spirit of the South playing across the way, making
the trip down south here to rip Use Stadium. After
that five yard penalty, he second and fifteen here for Dothan,
Broadway stays in at quarterback. They moved again. That was
another one of those offensive linemen that moved there. That
was Dante Vickers, number seventy three. So it's gonna be

(33:34):
a second down in twenty here. This is not where
coach Kennedy wants his offense to be operating from second
and twenty open. They got number eleven back in there,
so they'll bring that lineman out of the game too.
He was not happy and he's given him an earful.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
I think this is going to be a running place.

Speaker 4 (33:52):
See they huddle up, they don't stay huddle long.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
When they have a running play.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Called all right, Broadway's the quarterback. He moves and then
you give it to the tailback running here near sight.
He's got a lane. He's across the forty five and
dragged down a nice tackle by Devin Dixon, but a
big gainer up to the forty eight yard line, and
that's gonna be good for thirteen yards, but Devin Dixon
doesn't get there. It's a it's a first down to

(34:17):
maybe a touchdown. It's third down, yeah, and it's gonna
be a third down and third and seven, all right,
So that got a lot of the yardage. Back ball
at the forty five forty eight yard line, dothing from
their own forty eight here on third and seven and

(34:38):
no flag on the play and a good tackle right
at the first down mark or Tyrese Pitt's gonna be
enough for the first down?

Speaker 5 (34:45):
Though?

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Is that one went to Jayden Barnes and he gets
the first down? Boy a second and twenty good, great,
and Dothan gets the first down.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
They just shredding the state offensively.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
That was good for seven yards, enough for the first down.
Tyrese good tackled every right at the first down marker.
Now that's four, that's four first downs and find a
way to hunker down here three minutes left in the
first quarter Dothan. Out of the shotgun. The snap will
go to Alexander left side, slipped a tackle and finally

(35:18):
brought down, but still picked up two yards. Alan Jackson,
linebacker comes up and makes the stop for the Bulldogs.
He got too it'll be second down to eight.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
They're fixing the chew this whole quarter up.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
They are just two thirty nine left and they lead
at seven to nothing. Here in Dothan. Devin Dixon will
check in the ball game. We'll see Tyler Moore check out.
Hudson Allan Jackson are the two linebackers. It's a running
play van two twenty left here and a second and

(35:54):
eight coming up for Dothan at the forty three of Opalaika.
Snap goes straight to the quarterback. He'll run up to
the forty yard line. Down to the forty yard line,
but a good stop there by Opelaika. That was Jayden
Barnes who got tackled by Money Thomas. Third and five.
Third and five at the forty of Opelaika coming up
here for Dothan.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
I think they're two downs this one. If they don't
make it on third down.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Seem Broadway checks back in the ballgame, and he is
more of a thrower, but he's been nursing an ankle injury.
You can see that right ankle really taked up.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
I think this is probably gonna be a throw.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
He moves the back over. You could go to that
blocking pact. Kennedy. Coach Kennedy from the sidelines, changing the play.
See who gets the snap, quarterback keeper and he had
to ride the line of scrimmage. He goes nowhere, stop
right at the line of scrimmage. Money Thomas again on
the stop at the forty a. It's fourth down and
five and they're gonna bring the punting team in. So

(36:52):
good stop there by the Bulldog deep defense and coach,
we needed that one big time serve Yes served one
Maury Money. Jamari goes back and Dothan kicking into a
pretty good breeze here across the field, So Dothan will
be kicking into the wind as the punter Kine Shellhouse

(37:15):
stands at about the forty five yard line to catch
this snap. Gotta fee alert too, and it is a punt,
high wabbling punt and Jamari lets it roll and it's
going to get into the end zone. So big break
there for the Bulldogs forty four seconds remaining here in
the first quarter. A good stop there by the defense.
Coach Moore comes out and really gives them a big

(37:36):
congratulations as they come off the field and a big applause,
And we'll see if the offense can get something going here.
Three and out last time out, the only time for
the Bulldogs on offense tonight, coach, And you'd love to
see the ground game get something going, Yes.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
Sir, Well, they've had twenty plays and we've had three,
so uh, we've got to get something going here.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Bulldogs will have it from their own twenty yard line
forty three seconds left here in the first quarter, and
the Dogs will line up trips receivers to the left
side of the field and Calvin hugh Lee is the
loan back. He gets the snap handoff goes to hugh
Lee and boy, there was a lane there, but he
ran right into the heart of that dothing defense and
didn't get anything.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
Okay, looked like he had a little crease off tackle
and he went back inside.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
Yeah, I was thinking that too, Coach. It looked like
there was a hole there for a moment before it
closed up quickly and just twenty one seconds left. Dogs
could let this wind down to the end of the quarter,
and I think looks like Kobe will change his play.
We'll see if he decides to snap it or take
it to the end of the quarter. Here just nine
down to eight, he will get the snap option play

(38:45):
and Kobe's gonna keep it. He's got some running room
across the twenty five and up to around the twenty
seven yard line. A good run that'll set up a
third and very manageable coming up. When we get to
quarter number two into one, Doting leading seven nothing. We're
back after this time out. You're listening to Bulldog football
on the kicker and our kid pretty needn your ticket

(39:07):
would have been seven. They little game. Well, not the
best de sponse on that Kolby run got six yards
up to the twenty six yard line, but it will
be a third and four coming up here for the Bulldogs,
and really need to convert here. As we get ready
to start the second quarter with Dothan leading seven to nothing,
and an official comes in and stops this play, maybe
I think the chain crew not set correctly here, so

(39:29):
we'll get that situated.

Speaker 3 (39:32):
Big third down place right here.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
Kind to find a way to convert here Dothan's defense.
The secondary has been really susceptible to throws over the top,
and some of the games they lost. See if the
Bulldogs may go to the air here, keep it on
the ground. Third and four, big one here Dogs, when
they're on twenty six, Key out of the shotgun, Key
gets the snap, the hand off, it's a reverse play,

(39:56):
and here comes Jamari nearsight. He's got some runner across
the fortycross midfield. I'm in a foot race inside the twenty.
Jamari gone ten five touchdown, Jamary Miller to the house,
seventy four yard touchdown. Bulldogs back an extra point away
from tying this one up on a big reverse play
from Jamari Miller. How many seventy two, seventy four yards

(40:20):
co twenty four yards on I'd make all the dog
fans smile. Wow, beautiful time to get Jamari Cooking.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
Pulling a little at doting right back on him.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
I was looking for the yellow hanky, Thank goodness, there
wasn't one. Ye yep, And here is the point after
a tempt coming from it, Johnny Cecina, I should say
Ree Beasley and it's up and good and that score.
Drive power my friends and open like a power services
hometown people working for you. Dogs tie it up to
start the second quarter. Seven seven, eleven forty eight left.

(40:56):
We're back after this thirty second time out in a
word for rentals outdoors. Seventy four yard touchdown run by
mister Jamari Miller, and the Dogs have tied it up
here seven to seven. And that was a heck of

(41:17):
a punch in there by Jamari Miller and eleven forty
eight left in the second quarter. So big third and
four play for the Dog's seventy four yard touchdown, and
Reese puts a boot into this one short of the
five yard line of the six yard line, and this
is returnable here by Dothan. They've got a return up
close to the twenty eight yard line. But finally the

(41:39):
dangerous returner Jaden Barnes for Dothan well stop shy of
the thirty yard line. So seventeen they'll mark him at
the twenty nine yard line. So that is where Dothan
will start first and ten from their own twenty nine
yard line.

Speaker 4 (41:56):
We need a three and out right of here, Van,
We need to get a good start right here. We
got a tie game again.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
Coming to you from the Orthopedic Clinic Broadcast booth, East
Telabamas go to Center for Orthopedic Care and it's a
first and ten for Doth. Then they'll start from their
own twenty nine yard line, first in ten here in
a tie game now seven seven, and the snap will
go to Alexander running near side, trips upstate on his

(42:28):
feet up to the thirty two yard line before Alan
Jackson got two of him.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
Or we had him tackle for no game end up
making three yards.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Three yard pickup. It'll be second down and seven eleven,
twenty three left in our first half of play playing.
It's a running play van They're gonna say second down
and six here as in those of the football almost

(42:59):
of the thirty three yard line. It's going to be
a run and play, doping second down play and it'll
be a real counterplay inside and well read by the Bulldogs.
It went to Alexander who passed it off to Barnes.
No gain or there. Yeah, Ty Hudson comes in and
makes the stop and Ty I know Cookie is listening

(43:21):
and she is happy. That's grandma. Coach McCracken. I found out,
so Cookie, I know is a big listener and a
happy proud grandma. I know for Ty Hudson.

Speaker 3 (43:30):
Big third down here there are two of three on
third down conversions.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Lost one back to the thirty two, so as coach mentioned,
it will be third and seven here broadway back in
at quarterback. The little spin around play well read by
the Bulldogs, but he found a seam and got the
first down. Boy, the dogs had some defenders there, but
a good run by Jaden Barnes as he got up
to the forty four yard line and picked up twelve
yards and got a Dothing first down. Cot Ingram comes

(43:58):
in on the stuff number the thirteen of these kids,
well actually mark him at the forty two. That was
a tough one there. I think they call that the
Sally play, and that right coach, a little spin around playing.

Speaker 4 (44:13):
Counter play back the other way, and we missed two
tackles at the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 2 (44:18):
Seven to seven, ty game, ten minutes left in the
second quarter. Doth in first and ten from their own
forty two yard line. Snap goes to aj Alexander who
keeps those feet turning and he's up close to midfield.
He's going to get all the way up to the
fifty yard line for eight yards. Ty Hudson comes up
and makes the stop, but what too much? Eight yards
and it's going to be second and two for Dothan.

(44:40):
And again they continue to run this plot here, nine
thirty eight remaining it.

Speaker 3 (44:44):
We're not hey, We're not going to be able to
play with these guys if we can't stop this running game.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
We got a contry. We've got eleven seniors out there.
Come on, guys, Malie contry. Mary Smiley working the right
side of the line here. The second down and three
coming up here for Dothan. High snap goes to Alexander
and he stopped in the backfield that time. Amari Smiley
was there and there was a flag on the play.

(45:12):
And unfortunately, I think this may go against Opelaika. Of course,
I don't know. There's an offensive lineman over here that's
getting talked to from Dothan. We'll see.

Speaker 5 (45:27):
You. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
I thought that may be as a personal foul against Opelika.
I thought I saw somebody fall over late, and I
don't know if somebody shoved somebody or push somebody or what,
but that's a huge fifteen yard penalty. It was going
to be a third down and now a first down
all the way inside the forty down to the thirty
eight yard line.

Speaker 3 (45:47):
Boy, that was huge.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
That was Smiley. No, I don't know who got the penalty.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
I just personal foul.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
It was a personal foul against the defense. Okay, nine
oh six and a big first down handed to Dothan
here at the thirty eight yard line of opal. Like
a quarterback Broadways back in the ball game brings a
man in motion. Broadway gets the snap. They throw here
to the near side to Alexander, who tripped up, broke
one tackle, but Tyler Moore still was able to bring

(46:15):
him down as he goes down to the thirty eight
yard line and lost our no gain on the play. Yeah, no, gainer,
I ain't lost to half a yard? Maybe second and
eleven eight thirty seven lefts here in the first half
seven seven again the tie ball game here, Broadway back
in the game for Dothan. He's their quarterback that's been
nursing an ankle injury. I think this is gonna keep

(46:38):
running the ball. I would think so.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
I mean, you know they've had sc says.

Speaker 2 (46:42):
Yeah, second down in eleven coming up here for Dothan.
Broadway the quarterback out of the shotgun. He drops back,
wants to throw and it is caught, but nice tackle
by Kiev and King who wrapped him up right when
he caught it. And they'll mark him down at the
forty right at the forty four yard line. Two yards Yeah,

(47:04):
not much, Okay, we all got three.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
Okay, there's your third down play again van third and eight.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
So it'll be a third and eight coming up here
for Dothing seven forty four left big time to get
another stop here in a tie game, seven forty and
the clock rolling here in the second quarter, Broadway stays
in there. It's gonna be a pass at quarterback. He
gets the snap, drops back, pressure, a little shuffle pass
that time well defended by the Bulldogs. They're gonna bring

(47:36):
him down. Pyle keeps pushing, but I think they get
him down around the thirty three yard line. Gonna set
up fourth down. Ty Hudson middle linebacker. Not fooled on
that one. As the shuffle pass went to Johnson, the
blocking back, and it's fourth down and five coming up.
We'll see the offense stay out here. I think for
coach Kennedy, they gonna stay. Jacobe Allen, tight end, will

(47:59):
bring in the play here. It's fourth and four.

Speaker 3 (48:02):
It looks like I still think they're gonna throw.

Speaker 2 (48:05):
Man, it'll be fourth and five. Yeah, this is a
pass and the crowd for Opelaika getting up on their feet.

Speaker 3 (48:11):
Come on Dogs.

Speaker 2 (48:12):
Six point fifty remaining here in the first half. Dothan
going forward at fourth and five at the thirty three
yard line of opel Aikah high snap going here near
side and tripped up and stopped it. Didn't get it, No,
Jim stopped there by. The Bulldog's Keevan King tripped up
Jaden Barnes and he tried to go near side, and
a big stop there by the Bulldog defense. Boy, that

(48:37):
was a big one. Their coach, Yes, sir, turnover on down,
so the Bulldog offense will come out six thirty seven
left in the first half.

Speaker 4 (48:45):
They held our defensive end there. They threw him down
and they didn't. It wasn't no call.

Speaker 3 (48:50):
That's okay, let's go.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Maybe we'll pass that info along somebody. I'm sure we'll
all right.

Speaker 3 (48:57):
Hey, we got a seven seven game, let's get some ports.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
Yeah, I'll see if Kobe Kee this offense can get
the lead here, key out of the shotgun from his
own thirty one yard line. Key steps up in the
pocket in some trouble, runs here near side and slip
down back at the twenty five yard line, and ain't
gonna be a six yard loss on the play Kobe
was trying to get it down. Feel a look like
the Quez Johnson fun. Of course is mons. The month

(49:22):
clock will continue to run here six nineteen the Dogs
trying to go deep. It looked like their coach, but
not enough time and they'll be second in sixteen for
the Bulldogs. Back at the twenty five yard line. Key
with two receivers to the right, two receivers to the left,
Calvin huge Ley, the loan back to the left, and

(49:45):
the handoff will go to and oh, this is Tommy
Johnson checking in the ball game and Johnson going nowhere
back to the line of scrimmage. Linebacker Gabe Smith comes
up and makes the stop.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
We're not getting boy, we're not getting anything on the ground.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
Nope. Third and sixteen, the boy, this defense not getting
much of a rest here. Really need to get a
first down just to keep this going. Third and sixteen
for the Bulldogs and they're on twenty five yard line
trips receivers to the left side, single receiver to the right,
and Kolby checking the sidelines, changing the play if it
looks like Calvin Hugly will be the loan back here

(50:20):
on this third and long play here for the Dogs.
As we wind under five twenty left, Key drops back
throws trying to set up a screen. High pass goes
to Hugley, big block and Hugly across the thirty five.
Huglely still on his feet. He's suk a tackling. He's
across the forty five cross midfield. Huglely is still on
his feet inside the forty dragging defenders down to the
thirty four yard line. T K Knight got him. But boy,

(50:42):
that was a big time play there by Calvin Hugley.
And a flag on the play down field, it's on
us and there's a flag. It looks like after the
play on Opalaika, it's gonna be a first down run
down to the forty one yard throwing stair to Calvin Hugley.
But after the play was over, it looks like there's

(51:05):
going to be a flag on Opalaika. I'm not sure.

Speaker 5 (51:09):
It is.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
Yeah, Coach Moore having a word with somebody coming off
the field.

Speaker 3 (51:12):
It's on Quiz Johnson did come it. That's still a
first down.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
Oh, it's still a first down. It's gonna back us
up from the thirty four to fifteen yards though.

Speaker 4 (51:29):
That's two fifteen yard penalties we've gotten. When the guy
blows the whistle, y'all stopped playing?

Speaker 2 (51:36):
Now, come on, So down to the thirty four yard
line and unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Opelikah Jackson. Lee coach
had a huge block. Did you see him out blocking
the center? Taxed? Lee went out pancakes somebody to open
up that hole for how long was that ruin van? Uh? Well,
the original line of scrimmage was the twenty five, and

(51:57):
they got down to the thirty four as a forty
one hard pickup.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
Okay, okay, that's right. We still got the ball.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
At the forty five, still got the first down. Well,
we got the call to forty nine. Okay, all right,
So those are the football now is at the forty
nine of doth and tied at seven here five O
three remaining huge play there by Calvin Hugly forty one
yard screen pass and Hugley with just some video game

(52:26):
maneuvers to keep that one going downfield, and I think
we got a time out on the field here five
o three remaining time out on the field. We'll take
a quick thirty second time out. You're listening to Bulldog
football here on the kicker Hope blike out of the
time out of the doth In forty nine first and
ten handoff goes to Calvin Hugly and this time he

(52:47):
has swarmed in the backfield, going to lose two yards
back to the forty nine. A sim White on the
stop for Dothan.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
We didn't block anybody. They whipped us that time. Second
and eleven come on guys.

Speaker 2 (52:58):
At least second and twelve, two yard loss back to
the forty nine. So Bulldogs are on their own forty
nine yard line. Four thirty four left. Hugly will remain
the tailback behind Colby Key. Two wideouts either side. Now
they'll come in tight Washington here near side, and then
Brody Jones to the left. Calvin gets the handoff left

(53:20):
side and got some blockers ahead and stays up on
his feet and they get down to the forty seven
yard line.

Speaker 3 (53:28):
Got about four yards.

Speaker 2 (53:29):
Didn't he have four yards on the play?

Speaker 3 (53:32):
Third and eight.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
That's your Davious Lemon on the stop.

Speaker 3 (53:38):
All right, let's get a good play right here. We're
one of two on third down conversions.

Speaker 2 (53:46):
Third and eight at the doth in forty seven yard line.

Speaker 3 (53:51):
All right, let's see here, they're rushing four.

Speaker 2 (53:54):
Key out of the shot gun with trips right side.
Key drops back, throws deep downfield. He's got Miller caught
inside the ten. Miller inside the five, down to the
four yard line. First in gold Bulldogs. Huge throw from
Kobe Key to a wide open Jamari Miller. What a
throw and what a catch? How many yards is that?
They marked him down at the three yard line. That

(54:17):
is a forty four yard pick up. First and goal Bulldogs.
Here we go. Here we go Dogs. Now we're playing
a little bulldog football. Now the Dogs will go I
formation here, first and goal at the three.

Speaker 3 (54:30):
Got big Quiz Johnson in there, full back.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
That's Blake Johnson. Blake, excuse me, not quiz, Yeah, quiz.
They had gained some weight. They'll give it to Big
Blake Johnson. Johnson inside the two, pushing the pile down
to the one. They blow that whistle quick though, and
I don't think got any you got them down to
the down to the one.

Speaker 3 (54:49):
I think they didn't give him anything, did they.

Speaker 2 (54:54):
I don't think they did. They had a quick whistle there.
They were not gonna let the dog the dog Pound
come to the rescue on that one. No game. Second
and goal again from the three yard line, two fifty
four remaining here in this second quarter, tie game, seven
seven dogs trying to punch it in again. I formation here,
Brody Jones goes in motion, key under center, and they

(55:17):
fake the toss. Now give it back to Hugly. Hugly
inside the one and Hugely at the goal line, and
gonna be slung down right at the goal line at
the one yard line. It'll be second in inches coming
up by Hugly. I don't believe. I believe Kobe turned
the wrong way. You may.

Speaker 3 (55:34):
Then he ended up getting the pitch to it, so
we made two yards.

Speaker 2 (55:38):
It almost kind of looked like the spinner play that
Dothan likes to run.

Speaker 3 (55:42):
Coach. Yeah, third down and goal, golding, third.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
And goal from the one. Maybe do the little touch
sneak here maybe and just get this thing in behind
Big Jackson Lee. I'd like my odds keyon come out.
It is Jordan Waits the tailback here on this third
and goal from the one play quick hand off to Johnson,
He's in the end zone, but the Bulldog touchdown. Johnson

(56:05):
was almost untouched for the Bulldog touchdown and Oplelka goes
up thirteen to seven with one fifty six remaining here
in the first half. A reminder also, Bulldogs will get
the football to start the second half. So a huge
score here late in this half for the Bulldogs and
a good pass here by Kolby Keith set that one up.
A couple of big passes there screen passed to Calvin

(56:26):
Hugley and then the big bomb passed to Jamari Miller
that set up that score. Good job, good job, had
a way to fight back Dogs. Here's the extra point
for Rhese Beasley and the kick is up and it
is good. Dogs on top fourteen seven of their score
and dry and power by Oplelaka Power Services hometown people
working for you online at Oplelika power dot com. Back

(56:49):
after this time out you listen to Bulldog football here
on the kicker. Big score from the Bulldog Zopelika leads
at fourteen seven over Dothan, one fifty six remaining here
in this first half of play, and here comes Reese Beasley.

Speaker 3 (57:09):
All right, I've got to have a good kick off here.

Speaker 2 (57:11):
Now, I tell you put your snowshoes on it. Just
just kick into this one as hard as you can coach.
Last five minutes of the half, there's a big booming
kick end over end. It will be calling at around
the seven yard line. We'll be returnable here for Dothan,
trying to get out side, slipping down at around the
sixteen yard line. Seventeen maybe the eighteens where they're going
to call him down.

Speaker 3 (57:32):
Good job.

Speaker 2 (57:33):
Yeah, that was number eight a King Hall on the
return there. One fifty one remaining. See if the defense
can get a turnover here, maybe another score.

Speaker 3 (57:41):
Yeah, let's see what. Let's see what they're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
Big Malik caultra into Kayle lightfoot Jason, what do you
think defense? What's been the message for the defense on
the sidelines.

Speaker 7 (57:53):
Defensively, finally got some rest there, a big response there
by the offense. But defensively, the biggest thing they want
to work on is they've struggled with the missdirection here
for Dothan, So I want to clean that up. No
big plays here with only one fifty one left in
the house.

Speaker 3 (58:06):
Yeah, we want to not let him run the ball.

Speaker 2 (58:08):
Jason Lee with our four seasons Federal Credit Union's sideline
reports tonight. Here's Alexander trying to run, stripped up at
the line of scrimmage, still says on his feet though,
Carson Dawson company. And then I saw Tyler Moore come
in there and make the stop. He picked up two
yards up to the twenty yard line.

Speaker 3 (58:25):
Okay, that's good, that's okay.

Speaker 2 (58:30):
Two and the clock continues to run and coach Moore
is going to call a time out here. Coach, he
wants to try to get the football down.

Speaker 3 (58:36):
I was just fixing the safe.

Speaker 2 (58:37):
We had all three timeouts later, Yeah, try to use them, right,
Let's use it against him all right, time out on
the field fourteen seven Opelaka with the lead one thirty
one remaining here in the second quarter, and back after
this word from Jeff coch Trent Funeral Hall, coach Brian
Moore and his staff calling a time out here late

(58:57):
in this one opened Oathan can't run this clock out
trying to get the football back one thirty eight remaining
here in the second quarter. I hope a like a
leading fourteen to seven. Absolutely, here we go.

Speaker 3 (59:08):
Defense got to make a big play right here.

Speaker 2 (59:11):
Now, what do you see Dothan doing here? Coach Broadway
back in the throwing quarterback. Do they put it in
the air here?

Speaker 5 (59:17):
You know what?

Speaker 3 (59:18):
I don't know. I don't know what they're gonna do.
I just know we need to stop them.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
I would not think that they would put it in
the air here, but we'll we'll see. He lines up
two receivers to the left, single receiver to the right.

Speaker 3 (59:29):
Can't give up any big plays. They've got three so far.

Speaker 2 (59:33):
Hej Alexander, their best runner. He's lined up to the right.
So we'll see Broadway out of the shotgun. He gets
the stamp. Looks like he wants to go to the air.
He's got all day. Steps up in the pocket, got
some time, and he's gonna be brought down at the
twenty two yard line. He's really hampered with any man injury.
Got another time out and coach Moore calls another time out.
Tyler Moore was on the stop there for the Bulldogs.

(59:55):
It will be third and number forty four, surging seven
coming up. This is third and seven and Opalika takes
another time out here third and seven, Dogs trying to
get the football back here, and again Opalaika will also
get the football to start the second half. The Dogs
would love a chance to put some more points on

(01:00:17):
the board. Here. We'll step aside, quick time out. Fourteen
seven Bulldogs with the lead. You're listening to Bulldog football
on the kicker, big down here for Dothan to try
to keep this drive going. Third and six for they're
on twenty two Dogs trying to get the football back
here laid in this first half. Ople like a leading

(01:00:38):
fourteen to seven.

Speaker 3 (01:00:40):
Boy, we need to stop right here, Van, we sure do.

Speaker 2 (01:00:42):
Broadway out of the shotgun formation. Nobody really out wide
here the little Sally play. They'll go inside, trying to
get it to Barns and he's wrapped up to the
twenty seven yard line. He's going to be short of
the first actually really close to the first down, but
he's going to be two yards shine. Coach Moore comes
in and calls a time out out.

Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
Yeah here fourth and two and number fourth and one.

Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
I Hudson on the stop there for the Bulldogs. So
it'll be it's fourth in inches. Coach, it's pretty close
see if Jason Lee down there's got a good sight
on this one. Jason, what do you think they're gonna
measure this?

Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
Jayson? I think it's short.

Speaker 7 (01:01:20):
Don't you think If I had to guess, I'm going
about six inches short. But they are going to bring
it out to measure and if it if it comes
up short, Brian Wore said he does want to call
that last time out here at one twenty to get
the ball back.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Yeah, it's at the twenty eight yard line and the ball, well, it's.

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
Oth and just go for it. If it's if it's
fourth and inches too, would they gamble here?

Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
We got another time out left, don't.

Speaker 5 (01:01:41):
We we do.

Speaker 3 (01:01:44):
Stretch it?

Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Oh he's well short, Yeah, he's he's a foot short.
He's very short. I'm surprised they even measured that. I
guess I'm not good eyesight. Maybe the problem there wind
blowing a little bit. Thankful that didn't roll the football.

Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
They're gonna go forward. They're gonna go forward. How about that?

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
How about this?

Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
Load it up because they gonna run the power play
right at you.

Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
Well they could they could try to get Opelikah just
to jump off sides. You gotta be very alert here
because Dothan still has plenty of time outs. They've got two,
and Opalaikah will take a time out here, and it'll
be interesting decision. I mean, if you if you don't
get this first down, or you got a bad snap
or anything, coach, you basically give Opelikah the football with

(01:02:32):
a minute and twenty right here, a chance to score
and go up two scores. So very interesting thing. Jason down,
if the four seasons Federal Credit Union Sideline report a
big call here coming up for this Dothan team.

Speaker 7 (01:02:44):
Yeah, absolutely, I think it would be absolutely huge gamble
to go for it on fourth down. And I was
just talking to or I was standing by coach Brian
Moore there. He's not convinced they're gonna go for it,
so they're gonna have a punt safe fright here, not
to give up a good play, but he does want
to get a good quick catch here on the punk
return to give the offense a minute here to try
to get some points on the half.

Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
Yeah, and don't jump off sides too if they if
they try to draw them off, I think that's what
they're going to try to do. Here and that the
quarterback stays on the field, and I've got to I
would think that they would try to try to draw
them off because big Malik Autry and Tie Hudson to
that group are right there in the middle unless you
try to quick snap it and do a quarterback sneak.

(01:03:26):
But we'll see here fourth and one and Dothan Show's
offense still out on the field, broad away the quarterback
out of the shotgun and a hard count, and that's
what they're trying to do. And coach Kennedy got to
take a tie out, and I believe bringing in the
punt team. There he is, So there comes the punt team,
so you know, give it a shot. Why not you
got two timeouts. I don't think that was a bad

(01:03:46):
coach and move at all there by coach Kennedy. Coach
McCracken back in your days coaching Percy Julian, I'm sure
you would have done the same thing, wouldn't you.

Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
No, I want to get to yeah, I want to
get the ball back here. They don't pump the ball
to us to hit the ball back.

Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
Why we have just a minute.

Speaker 4 (01:04:03):
While we have a minute, I want to reiterate something
I said earlier. Yeah, Mac's wife did not get bitten
by the snake. She got bitten by a pit bull
last Friday. So I apologize to you, Carrie and Mac.
I love you, and let's win this gate.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
All right. And Dax is now trying out for the
crocodile Hunter, we understand, and he's going to give Steve
Irwin a run for his money wrestling those snakes and
alligators in the neighborhood. He's going to have a show
called Dax's World on the Discovery Channel.

Speaker 3 (01:04:35):
So all right, we need to catch this ball.

Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
If Jamari's back around the forty five yard line, the punter,
what's safe right now? Yeah, Kane Shellhouse. He stands it
around the thirteen yard line. Fourteen seven o' plaka with
the lead and trying to get the football back. Here
is Dothan's in punt formation, snapping it from their own
twenty seven yard line. L House. The punter waits forward

(01:05:01):
back around the thirteen yard line and they are taking
their time. Low snaps skipped up there and he puts
a high boomy with this one, and Jamar is gonna
let it roll. A wise move there punted it over
his head. And it will roll down to around the
twenty one yard line. So a good punt there by,
by shell House.

Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
We got any timeouts left? We're out, aren't we?

Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
Now we've got one leg I know we have no
time We were having a timeout though, marked it down.
It looks like to the twenty two yard line. I know,
my boy, Brian, it's a fifty one yard punt.

Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
I don't believe he's going to uh gambell very much.

Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
No, Uh, He's gonna run some of his best football
plays and you know, maybe he can break one.

Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
So the line of scrimmage is the twenty two yard line.
That's where the Bulldogs will start first. In ten, there
was just one o nine left, no timeouts, and four
wide receivers lined up to the left. Sie Koby Key
looking left aid passed down the sidelines trying to get
it to Jalen Washington one on one coverage and it's
incomplete good coverage down field there by tk Knight so

(01:06:11):
tried to line up everybody on the left side and
tried to get Jaalen one on one. They're not a
bad idea, boy, and look at uh, look at this
ball boy. Coach McCracken. They got Officer Burdette all the
way across the field out there, boy, his whole crew.
I bet Baker Moore was slacking on the job over there.
He wanted to shout out. So I'm gonna give him one.

Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
They're gonna run this ball.

Speaker 2 (01:06:34):
Second down ten, two whiteouts either side here for the Bulldogs,
and the handoff goes to Calvin Hugley and Calvin Spins
stays on his feet up close to the thirty and
Calvin is going to have a first down up to
the thirty three yard line, so that will be a
laborate transfer in storage. First down eleven yards. Sim White
makes the stock clock stout with fifty five seconds, so

(01:06:57):
a good first down up to the thirty three yard line,
and the Dogs down the lineup, trips to the right side,
single receiver to the left side, and Colby gonna roll
here to the left side. Pressured steps up in the pocket,
got to throw it away. Colby he runs and gets
out of bounds at the thirty six yard line. So
he did get two yards and got out of bounds.
So the clock stopped, but forty seconds left, and this

(01:07:20):
will set up a second down. Well, they gave him
the US right at the thirty six second and eight,
so a three yard pickup second and seven.

Speaker 3 (01:07:32):
Second and seven. Okay, we got forty seconds left. We
got no timeouts.

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
They say second and eight, but it looks just about
like a second and seven to me. Two white outs left,
single receiver here near side from Key from the thirty
six yard line, a hand off inside and nothing doing there.
And Bulldogs with no timeouts, may have time for just
one more play here, third and five coming up. If
coach More decides even once run another play, I think

(01:08:02):
that's it. Ezekiel Scott on the stop down to twenty,
and I think Coach Moore is going to be content
to take it into the locker room now. Gave it
a go on a couple of plays down under ten now,
and the Bulldog's gonna let this client wind on down.
Op Laika will of course get the football to start

(01:08:22):
the second half, So Coach More decides no more risking
it here in this half, and the Bulldogs take a
fourteen to seven lead into the locker room at the
end of our first quarter of play. Our first half
of play, Bulldog's leading at fourteen to seven. We're back
after this, So let's cut down first and we'll get
a chance to catch up with coach Moore as he
heads into the locker room and Jason, I cannot see you.

(01:08:44):
You got coach? Yeah, I'm good right here with coach.

Speaker 7 (01:08:48):
We had the punt early of seven quick points there
by dthing, but huge responsor defense with the fourth and
down stop and two touchdowns there by your offense.

Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
What's your thoughts on the first half of the response
from your team?

Speaker 6 (01:08:58):
Yeah, I mean, obviously we get gave them the seven
points that they got, you know, because we muffed it.

Speaker 3 (01:09:03):
We're playing really well defensively.

Speaker 6 (01:09:04):
We got to continue to you know, rotate those bodies
like we talked about all week and not get fatigued.

Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
And then offensively, good lord man, we got to run
it better.

Speaker 6 (01:09:12):
That was a bad half up front. We didn't do
a very good job of moving them around. They're packing
the box, but it allowed us to get too big plays.
But we got to do a better job right there
in the second half running football and keeping our defense
off the field.

Speaker 7 (01:09:23):
Seven point lead going to the half. Also getting the
kickoff here to start the second half keys to a
good start here. Second half for both sides.

Speaker 6 (01:09:29):
Yeah, just again, it's all about time of possession. I
think at this point they've had it too much. We've
played to me snaps defensively already. We've got to come
out and establish out that We've got to continue to
find balance with the heavy box numbers. But again we
got to go get a plan up front because they're packing.

Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
That thing in.

Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
We got to find some running lanes.

Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
Appreciate you, coach, good look. Second half all right, thank you, Jason.
Jason Lee down with the four seasons Federal Credit Union
signed line report as we catch Coach More heading into
the locker room again. Dogs lead at fourteen seven. We're
back with your halftime which is brought to you by
Gory's Furniture. Gory's Furniture Express locally on and operated Jim
and Pam Gory. If you need furniture, Gory's Furniture Express.
You're a furniture headquarters located off Highway one sixty nine

(01:10:07):
in Opelika. We're back after this time out here on
the kicker. Welcome back here to Riview Stadium, getting set
for the second half. OPAKA leading fourteen seven, Bulldogs will
receive to start the second half and Coach really when

(01:10:30):
you look back at the way this game started, Opelikah
got a big stop. It was Amari Smiley getting a
sack back at midfield. A turnover there on the punt
though that went to Jamari Miller, one that just got
away from him. That led to the first and only
score for Dothan, and Opelikah then went three and out
and defense had to really get a big stop again.
It was until late in the first quarter that Opelikah

(01:10:51):
hit that big reverse play. Jamari Miller went seventy four
yards and got the big touchdown to really give oak
Balkah the spark and the dog with fourteen unanswered points
and a chance to extend that lead. Here as we
start the second right Van, and you know you.

Speaker 4 (01:11:06):
And I talked about possessions as this court as the
quarter went along, in the half went along.

Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
If we were down twenty.

Speaker 9 (01:11:14):
Possessions to three at one time, and we ended up
getting twenty possessions there twenty nine, but they only had
sixteen yards passing and we had forty four yards, but
we had one hundred and thirty one yards on the ground.

Speaker 2 (01:11:29):
To their sixty fourth. Jason Lee was in there in
the locker room, and he said, Coach Moore had a
really big spirited talk and Jason, what was that all about. Yeah,
very confident but very energetic locker room.

Speaker 7 (01:11:43):
On both sides, they had the offense and the defense
split up in the locker room. Coach Moore spent most
of the time with the defense and basically said, hey, guys,
if our offense scores right here in this first possession,
we're up by fourteen, there is no way we're giving
up fourteen points to this doping team right here with
the adjustments they've made on defense, and that is the
misdirection blaze, staying in your lane and just locking down,

(01:12:04):
especially with that defensive line in that front seven. So
all the defense making those stomps after what we hope
is a sudden point right here early on.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
That's great, Jon, Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
Has Jason Lee on the sidelines in for Mac mccrackett,
and I Jason bringing us our four seasons Federal Credit
Union sideline reports. And here comes Dothan's kicking team and
got to watch it on sidekick here something you know,
really tricky, and coach Kennedy does a good job. And
I know after last week, Coach when Pike Roade pulled
a fast one on us. I would think not the
kicking team would be ready for just about anything here,

(01:12:34):
but that second level really needs to be alert here
as the kicker. I think we've made a couple of
changes too with personnel. Jonathan Castillo will have it teed up.
He'll kick from right to left as we call the
action for you again, they're going to be kicking into
a really big stiff breeze too. As the American flag
here rip use blows into the face of the Dothan

(01:12:57):
Wolves and they kick it deep and it will bounce,
and that's going to be caught and out of bounds.
Brody Jones catches it at the twenty and just gets
out of bounds right at the twenty. Hey, that's what
they'll mark Jones down. So they've done a good job
of not allowing any return yardage for a team that
doesn't have a guy that can really kick it deep.

Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Okay, we're going to start at the twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:13:22):
First and ten for the Bulldogs here as we start
for the twenty yard line, right here we go Van
as we open up the second half, Bulldogs lead it
here fourteen to seven.

Speaker 3 (01:13:35):
Remember what I told all these boys about first five minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
At third quarter, Colby Key out of the shotgun. He's
got two receivers to the left side. Here's a run
play here near side. Hugly wanted to go right and
then cuts it back inside and Hugley stays up with
the whistles blown and he made no gain on the play.

Speaker 3 (01:13:54):
No game.

Speaker 2 (01:13:56):
Number twenty. Carrie Gatling on the stop there. Defensive back
comes in and makes the stop for doth and second
and ten.

Speaker 4 (01:14:03):
Yeah, tried to run that off tackle power play and
they stuffed us. Couldn't get them. They got a couple
of big linemen up front.

Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
Man Jordan Waits will check in the ballgame as Huglely
goes out, so Waits will be the tailback here on
this second and ten play, and the handoff goes to
Waits and he slipped down right at the line of scrimmage.
Is going to be lost to yard. Are going to
be third and eleven coming up. Not to start with
this run game. I know that Coach Moore wanted to see,
absolutely not. And Ezekiel Scott comes up from the defensive

(01:14:32):
line and makes the stop, and I think Waits almost
just kind of slipped down there on the play, Calvin,
we got a time of injury time out here on
the field.

Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
Who's hurt?

Speaker 2 (01:14:44):
I don't know the players. One of the number thirty four,
Gabe Smith, a linebacker and coach quickly kind of told
him to get down as he was kind of running
off the field there. So we do have a time
out here on the field and a third and eleven
coming up here for the Bulldogs. We come back after
this thirty second break, Dogs leading fourteen to seven. Here
on the kicker Hends, your player on the field comes

(01:15:08):
out for Dothan. It'll be third down and ten four
Opelaika from their own twenty yard line. Key drops back,
steps up in the pocket. He's in trouble, stays up
on his feet, but he's gonna be hit back at
around the fifteen yard line. Gonna be sacked on the
play by Jamal Rowell and as a huge stop for Dothan,
out of the gates, and just as Opelikah wanted to
try to stretch this lead to start the second half,

(01:15:29):
it'll be a three and out for this offense. It
is back to the fourteen yard line, so a four
yard loss on that sack on Kolby Key, and I
wasn't a good start for this offensive line getting whipped
pretty good right now by that Dothan defensive line.

Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
Yep, I'm gonna have to cover this good.

Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
And here is a high booming punt from Zion Henderson,
a fair catch called for at the forty three yard
line by case and Booth and Dothan will have it
from their own forty four yard line, forty five yard line,
so they don't have pretty good field position close to
midfield here to start, a lot better starting field position
than not Polaika had from their on twenty ten oh

(01:16:14):
four remaining here in the third quarter, and it's a
fourteen to seven Bulldog lead, but the defense is going
to be asked to try to stop this tricky offense
again here.

Speaker 3 (01:16:21):
Now here they come. This is this is a this
is when we got to really lay it on the
line right here.

Speaker 2 (01:16:28):
As Dothan will try to tie this thing up to
start the second half. Ten oh four remaining as the
Dogs go three and out Dothan from their own forty
five yard line, Alexander gets the hand off left side.
Good stop. Alan Jackson came in there and knocked him
down as he spun in the hole and he got

(01:16:49):
one yard second and nine.

Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
Yeah, Allen number nine, he flew in there.

Speaker 2 (01:16:54):
Boy, he came in there and knocked him down with
a vengeance. He sure did converted defensive end too. And
he's been playing linebacker back there. And hope his parents
were here to see five ten, two hundred and forty
pounds senior linebacker. All right, good. Here we go up
to the forty six yard line. It will be second

(01:17:15):
down and nine for Dothan. They move and the snap
goes to Broadway quick insign Gibbon busting it as Alexander
and he's in the clear across the twenty and just
wrapped up at around the nineteen yard line depending on
the spot. Here they got him the eighteen yard line,
Tyrese Pitts with a touchdown saving tackle there, and that's

(01:17:37):
where they can hit you quickly. And that is a
thirty seven yard pickup and a big first down for Dothan.
Big play, first down right up the middle to the
eighteen of Opelaika here nine to twelve, Othan trying to
tie it up here as to Opelaika leeds at fourteen
to seven, nine oh nine remaining here in the third
quarter Broadway in there at the quarterback position. He'll get

(01:18:01):
the snap and a little spin around hand off here
near side and struck out nicely by the Bulldogs. Tyrese
Pitts runs him out of Aunds and I don't think
he got anything. Maybe a yard j Barnes was a
bone care Tayden Barnes and no gain on the play.
It'll be second down in ten. Good job by Tyrese.

Speaker 3 (01:18:21):
Good job.

Speaker 2 (01:18:22):
That's that little spinner Sally play, the one that coach
Moore was really afraid of. He talked about this week.
He said, that's the one we really got to make
sure we stop. And the problem is when you stop
that one, another one's coming at you.

Speaker 3 (01:18:36):
Second eleven, He'll.

Speaker 2 (01:18:40):
Say, second and ten here Broadway, the quarterback fakes the
speed sweep and now wants to throw. It's batted the
line of scrimmage. Amari Smiley and Tremaine Thomas and ty
Hudson were pressure in the quarterback Broadway and he was
slow to get up there, and it's going to bring
up third and ten. Great job not to get food
on that one. They went the same play but tried

(01:19:02):
to pass off of it and the Bulldogs were there
eight nineteen. The clock stopped with that incomplete pass here
in the third quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:19:10):
This is probably gonna be another pass.

Speaker 2 (01:19:12):
TJ. Vickers checks of the ball game could be four
down territory who Dothan does not have much of a
field goal kicking game, and with the nose of the
football down at the nineteen yard line, third and eleven,
the third and eleven, now they're gonna throw it here
and Broadway not much of a running threat here with

(01:19:33):
him with the football with that ankle injury. Two white
outs right, they'll bring a man in motion. Alexander goes
in motion. They'll take the speed sweet and they'll throw
across the middle. It's dropped, big drop by aj Alexander.
He was open at around the eight yard line and
he just dropped it. Fourth down, whoa, and we'll see it.

(01:19:54):
Looks like they're going to bring in a field goal
team here. This will be a mighty long one here
and the nose of the football is at the nineteen
yard line, down ten. This will be a thirty six
yarder just inside the left hash. See if the Dogs

(01:20:15):
hit a block on this. Jonathan Castillo thirty six yard
field goal attempt here and he is blown into the
wind as well, and that was blocked by the Bulldogs.
Blocked and it's on the ground and the Bulldogs will
take over it around the eighteen yard line. Big block
there by o Balaika. Well, I didn't see who got

(01:20:36):
a pall on that one, but hopefully those on the
NFL just network and give credit. I think it was
Jaki Lightfoot who came in there and blocked that one.
I had a boy begging. That was a tough ass
for that field goal kicker. He was coach. There is
a stiff wind right in his face and the bulldog
didn't matter on that one though he could have been
kicking it with the wind.

Speaker 3 (01:20:55):
We need to get a drive goring Van.

Speaker 2 (01:20:57):
Yeah, that was a big stop after giving up the
long run, Dogs back with it from their own eighteen
yard line. Dogs leading fourteen to seven, and now key
in the offense will operate for their own eighteen yard line.
Here's a reverse play trying to get Jamari here. Jamori
turned it up inside and Jamori is gonna get some

(01:21:17):
positive yards up close to the twenty four yard line.
So Jamar's gonna get close to six yards and it
will be a second and four coming up, Gabe Smith.
Dogs had a home run play on that one earlier.
Looks like it'll be second and five of the spot.

Speaker 3 (01:21:30):
Gaving five man sixth play they've had five this season.
Just put us ahead here, sixth sixth possession.

Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
Cogs from their own twenty four yard line. Second down
in five Key empty backfield drops back had pressure tipped
batted in the air and just laying safely on the ground.
That was almost intercepted pressure coming from the backside, and
Kobe did not see it, and that one was dangerous.
That could have been an easy pick six for one

(01:22:04):
of those Dothing players, but nobody there, thankfully for the Wolves.
Zach Walker closest one there. Or we need to get
this first down, sure do two? Third and five coming
up here for the Bulldog offense.

Speaker 3 (01:22:17):
Need to get this first down. Come on, guys.

Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
Trip Shrick single receiver, left one back in the backfield
with kolbe Key. Calvin Hughley is the loan back. He'll
move over to the right with Keith seven twenty five
left here in the third quarter, Key straight drop back
trying to set up that screen. It's read nicely by Dothing,
but Calvin breaks the tackle breaks another stealing his feet
inside the twenty spins its way up to the twenty five.

(01:22:42):
Calvin stays on his feet, A flag comes in and
they're gonna get Blake Johnson, I think with the whole
back of the twenty yard line. Old jee hey Mike
seven fourteen left. Yeah, Calvin was gonna be short of
the first down anyway, They're gonna decline it. Calvin just
managed to get that to the line of scrimmage. He's
gotta be fourth down and the Dogs are going to

(01:23:02):
have to punt. Not too good offensive series there for
Nope for the Bulldogs. There penalty is declined, so it
will be fourth down and Bulldogs will punt it away

(01:23:24):
from the twenty four.

Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
Yeah, that wasn't a very good series.

Speaker 4 (01:23:29):
Try to go to that home run with Jamari where
we got six yards on first damp van and.

Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
Yeah, and then went backwards deep man again for Dothan
his case in booth Bulldogs trying to draw, Oh, Dothan,
they're gonna say false start. They want Opalaiko Opelika trying
to draw Dothan off sides, and you're gonna be a

(01:23:56):
five yard penalty against thank back inside the twenty down
to the nineteen.

Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
I gotta cover this punt good.

Speaker 2 (01:24:10):
Now Henderson is your punter. He's backing around the six
yard line and a good snap, high booming punt, fair
catch called four and they're gonna let it roll. Boy,
almost kick catching interference. Bulldogs are lucky it didn't get
a flag on that one. Down to the forty four
is where they call that. Coach Kennedy comes in quite

(01:24:33):
upset about that. Almost ran into the kick returner there,
but no flag. First and ten Dothan from their own
forty four yard line. As we play here from rip
Hu Stadium, six fifty six left to the third quarter,
Dothan trying to tie this game up. They trail over

(01:24:56):
like a fourteen to seven and a tight one here. Yeah,
we don't have it.

Speaker 4 (01:25:00):
We don't have either team really whipping the other team
either ways. That turned it into a little defensive game here.

Speaker 2 (01:25:08):
Yeah, Dothan from their own forty four yard line. Their
offense so so dangerous, yes it is. The defense has
done a good job so far. Dothan here on first
and ten for their own forty four yard line, it
will be a run played Alexander here near sign and
breaks through the second level of defenders, and he's down
to the forty four yard line. Eleven yards, twelve yard

(01:25:31):
pickup Tyler Moore on the stop first down, a first down,
and that's a big play too. For age a Alexander
down to the forty four yard line, first and ten
in Bulldog territory. Here six thirty eight clock running here
in the third quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:25:47):
Come on, Dave, let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:25:57):
First and ten at the Bulldog forty four yard line Broadway.
He gives it to the back and he goes nowhere,
stopped at the line of scrimmage. Bulldogs said they got
the football. They're gonna say he was down. They have
nine sent Oh hop like a football. Dogs got it. Yes,
bulldogs got it. The other official comes in, though, let's
see if he doesn't overrule him. That official says with

(01:26:17):
a adamant yes, sir.

Speaker 3 (01:26:19):
They got it.

Speaker 2 (01:26:19):
Bulldogs got it. Ball boy won a turnover at the
forty five yard line. Oh goodness, yes, sir boy. That
one official and the Doathan side was coming in. I
hoped he wasn't gonna overrule it. Bulldogs get the football
on a big fumble there and Dogs have it first
and ten for their on forty five.

Speaker 3 (01:26:36):
What a break?

Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
What a break?

Speaker 3 (01:26:39):
You go?

Speaker 2 (01:26:40):
You gotta make him pay now, coach, Yes, sir so,
here's Colby Key out of the shotgun Bulldogs. Dogs with
their on forty five yard line, six nineteen to play,
up fourteen to seven. Colby drops back. They passed down
the sideline, trying to get it to Militog inside the
twenty Miller track from behind the nineteen yard line. First
down Dogs at the sea sixteen of doth In TK

(01:27:02):
Night with a stop, big time, thirty nine yard throwing
catch Canja Jamorrow Miller. What a grab? What a throw
to boy? Kobe put that one right on the money
down at the sixteen now of Dothan six oh eight.
Here in the third I'll wide out either side and

(01:27:26):
Calvin Hughley is the loan back here for Kolby Key.
Under six minutes to play in the third quarter, handoff
goes to Calvin inside. Calvin with some forward progress down
to around the twelve yard line. That's a four yard pickup.

Speaker 3 (01:27:39):
That's what it looks like to me too.

Speaker 2 (01:27:41):
Jamal Rowell on the stop.

Speaker 3 (01:27:44):
Somebody's upset up there on the front.

Speaker 2 (01:27:48):
Five forty o'clock running Brody Jones. Check it in the ballgame.

Speaker 3 (01:27:54):
Here it would go here, it would go we're good.

Speaker 2 (01:27:58):
Now you got Jayleen Washington wind out lined up to
the left, Brody Jones lined up to the right, Calvin
Hughley again the tailback here on they'll say second down
in seven and it goes back to Calvin Calvin trying
to bounce the out side. Nice stiff arm inside the ten.
Calvin inside the five towards the INSI one and they're
gonna say he was down at the one. It'll be

(01:28:19):
first and goal from the one. That's the kind of
running that we've seen from Calvin Hughgley as his stiff
arm defenders to make his way to the far side
of the field. First and goal from the one coming
up here for Opelaika sim White on that stop here
come to brother Johnson and brother Hughglee. It's an I formation,
First and goal from the one. Quick cand Off Johnson

(01:28:41):
touchdown BALLOS five O nine left in the third Dogs
up twenty to seven overdth it. Let me get those names.

Speaker 3 (01:28:50):
Real quick offensive lineman Jackson, Lee, col Eefferson, Tramont Thomas,
Darius Whitlow and David Miller.

Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
Dogs so if five o nine remaining in the third quarter,
Ope like a point after away from making this one
a fourteen point Bulldog lead. Here with five oh nine
left in the third Rody Jones seemed to get his
hand hurt a little bit there and he kind of
walked off and hopefully he'll be okay. He's holding here
for the extra point. Snapped down and the place good
and the kick is up and the kick is good.

(01:29:22):
Dogs on top twenty one to seven over the doting walls,
five o nine remaining in the third quarter. Score and
drive power by Hopleli likea power services hometown people working
for you online at oplelaka power dot com. Back after
this time out here on the kicker. Another tough road

(01:29:44):
game here for the Bulldogs tonight. Opal Like up by
fourteen though five oh nine left in the third Dogs
lead at twenty one to seven, and here is Reyes
Beasley set to kick it off.

Speaker 3 (01:29:55):
And we've done good with our kickoff team so far.

Speaker 2 (01:29:58):
Dogs making and pay for that turnover a fumble at
the forty five.

Speaker 3 (01:30:03):
That was the what you're right?

Speaker 2 (01:30:05):
And here is a end over end kick, pretty good
kick and it's gonna sell for a touchback and I
thought the yard line. Yeah, Barnes was there at the one.
I think he thought, all we got off sides on
the kicking team, I think all flying down back at
the forty come, they're gonna bring it back and have
to rekick it here. Don't do that, guys, So that

(01:30:31):
will put gosh. I know Brian Moore hates that. That
will put Reese kicking off from back at the thirty five. Now, goodness,
five yards deep after well, we had dothing at the
twenty yard line, and hopefully Reese can put another good
booming boot into this one, kicking into a little bit
of a breeze to the right, ball is tossed back

(01:30:57):
onto the field. Here hope like a leading twenty one
to seven, five to nine remaining.

Speaker 3 (01:31:03):
Coach.

Speaker 2 (01:31:03):
I watched the NFL recently. I hadn't watched a whole
lot of the NFL. Have you seen the way they
kick it off in the NFL? Now, everybody has to
stand still.

Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Yeah, you ain't gonna you ain't gonna return either.

Speaker 2 (01:31:12):
I'm not a big fan of that.

Speaker 3 (01:31:14):
No, I'm not either. They're trying to keep from getting
people hurt.

Speaker 2 (01:31:19):
So here is Reese Beasley and a big high booming
kicking of this one sails back at around the two
yard line, and they're gonna go another flag? Boy, another flag?
Is this another.

Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
Boy?

Speaker 2 (01:31:35):
Another off sides on the kicking team sit down for
a four seasons Federal Credit Union sideline report, Jason, They
just is just getting an early jump here. Can you
see it? Tell from where you.

Speaker 7 (01:31:46):
Are, I'll be honest. After the first one, no argument
from the opal like a coach. Is the second one
a lot of arguments. So I'll let you determine the
reaction after that one. Yeah, yeah, I would imagine so too.

Speaker 2 (01:32:00):
So now Reese is going to try it back to
the thirty yard line where he'll kick this one away.

Speaker 4 (01:32:04):
That guy right there. Never mind, I can't say anything
bad about officials. My boss would get mad at me.

Speaker 2 (01:32:10):
All right, well, I tell you what, goodness, We'll see
what the Bulldogs try to do here. Reese's lined up
like as a short kick. Now, yeah, they're kicking it
short to around the thirty six fair catch called for
the thirty six yard line. So unfortunately the Bulldogs have
to settle about a sixteen yard difference in field position here.

(01:32:35):
But both of them we'll have it first and ten
defense will come back out on the field. They've been
playing really good here they actually have it from the
thirty seven yard line is where all right, we gothing
we'll start.

Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
We ain't got a five O six. We've run ten
snaps and they've run seven.

Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
Broadway. The quarterback trots out. He's not the running thread.
He's a little hobbled with an ankle injury.

Speaker 4 (01:32:57):
And we'll see, can't hey just stop the ruin, Stop
the ruin, Stop the ruin.

Speaker 2 (01:33:05):
Barns is lined up to the right Alexander and other
speedsters to the left of Broadway here on this first
and ten play, and they'll hand it here to Broadway.
Our barn's rather here near side, and he stood out nicely,
mister Tyrese Pitts there the thirty five yard line and
a two yard loss there. Mister Pitts owned the money there.

Speaker 4 (01:33:24):
Wait to coch ty resee. I talked to different about
that yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:33:29):
Man. That's great. Back to the thirty five yard line,
second down in twelve, coming up here for Dothan four
forty one left in our third quarter, second eleven, two

(01:33:49):
white outs to the right side of the field Broadway.
The quarterback here on second and twelve from his own
thirty five yard line. Gets the snap, throws and tries
to set a screen to Barns. The tackle stayed on
his feet and Keevy and King is there to bring
him down at around the forty three yard line. That's
going to be a pick up a close to eight
yards and this will set up a third and four.

(01:34:12):
Carson Moss on the stop, first loss. So it's third
and four here for Dothan from their own let's forty three.

Speaker 3 (01:34:21):
Let's see how long he huddles the men. You know
what the play is. This is a running play.

Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
Three point fifty and the clock running here in the
third i'd a patch it. They go to the ground
here as well. They do have two receivers out to
the left side of the field Broadway the quarterback out
of the shotgun slow snow No, they'll throw here near
side to Barnes trying to turn it up. Barn stutter steps,
broke a tackle and he's knocked out of bounds at
the forty nine yard line. He'll have enough for the

(01:34:49):
first down ed come Leland Bell on the stop there
for the Bulldogs. He is a hard one. Jaden Barnes
is to bring down, coach, he's a good athlete. Down
first down at midfield. Now they'll mark it at the
fifty yard line. Seven yards on that pick up there
for Dothan. Come on, guys, boy, that's been slow snaps
getting back there, and I think they're gonna run this Broadways.

(01:35:12):
Done a good job to getting rid of it right
at midfield, Dothan moving from right to left. Three sixteen remaining,
hope like a leading twenty one to seven stamp is
a reverse play here to Barnes near side, and a
flag comes in at the forty five yard line, and
it looks like that will be a hole. Malik Autrey
was on the stop there and Malik frustrated. Maybe it
was him, Yeah, that was getting held.

Speaker 3 (01:35:35):
Please be a holding penalty? Oh yes, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:35:39):
Yes, three oh six remaining and that is a hole
against the Dothan Wolves. Maybe the first one I've ever
seen called here.

Speaker 3 (01:35:48):
I think it is.

Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
I think it may be that maybe a record.

Speaker 4 (01:35:55):
I'd be talking negatively about playing down here, but.

Speaker 3 (01:36:00):
You said it, I'd do well.

Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
I thought, just an observation, coach, that's all I said.
That penalty back to the forty two the first down
still though in eighteen coming up here for Dothan Broadway
out of the shot gun to receivers right, single receiver
here to the near side of the field. Two fifty
four left, im on. They gonna throw it here, Bulldog's
up twenty one seven. Here goes Alexander in motion. They

(01:36:24):
think it did him. Broadway drops back, looks like he
wants to throw deep. Picked up by the Bulldogs at
the forty eight yard line. Picked off over on the
far side of the field by Leland Dale. Leland fail
my safety. Oh that was pits?

Speaker 6 (01:36:43):
Was it?

Speaker 3 (01:36:43):
P Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:36:44):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:36:44):
Never mind? Saw what was it? That was number thirty one.
That was Norman Matthews on the interception. Yeah, he's Norman Matthews.
I wasn't doing sign I wasn't doing sign language. Good
up here. It's a long shot from where we are,
and our spider Jeremy Teal was giving me sign language.
I was trying to get the number right. So Norman
Norman Matthew's good kid, big pick there. One of my

(01:37:05):
strong safeties. I talk coming all right now, dogs with
it from the O forty nine forty nine yard line.
I formation quick hand off to Blake Johnson left side.
Blake breaks a tackle. Blake's still on his feet, and
Blake Johnson is down to the forty one yard line.
What's that a nine yard game? See? That is a
twelve yard pick up.

Speaker 3 (01:37:25):
That's a first down.

Speaker 2 (01:37:26):
Then no check that love it? That's a how many?
How many? See where they marked it down at the
forty one that's a ten yard pickup?

Speaker 3 (01:37:36):
All right, you got it.

Speaker 2 (01:37:37):
Lambert transfer and storage first down to twenty clock running
bulldogs with a big Lambert transfer and storage first down
is taking time, I hope like a leading twenty one
to seven over Dothan and back with the football. After
that big Norman Matthews interception got big Johnson back there
to the forty one yard line, and here is Tommy Johnson.

(01:38:01):
Tommy gets a couple of yards Acto Mexic. More than
that three yard pickup. He got three. Gabe Smith, the
linebacker comes up and makes the stop.

Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
That's four yards.

Speaker 2 (01:38:12):
Taking that a long seven. I'm just three. They marked
it down to the thirty eight second down and seven
coming up here the thirty eight of Dothan one thirty
seven left in our third quarter. Hi formation, They'll give
it to the tailback first down run and I think

(01:38:34):
that's a face mask. That is a face mask, Tommy
john said on the first down run, it's a face mask. No,
it's gonna be a hold against Opelaikah, boy, I thought
they got a face mask by the hold against Opelaika.
Well that one to gain the first down run there
by Tommy Johnson, which was a good one. Man. This

(01:38:57):
is going to back things up. Well, I know it
was a tough one there one twenty seven left back
to the forty eight yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:39:05):
Who do he called that?

Speaker 2 (01:39:06):
On goodness? So this will be a second down and
seventeen now for the Bulldogs. After that holding call, think
the dog is just gonna take a shot to the air. Coach,
he keep running it. You're in that danger of getting
the holding flags. We'll see Blake Johnson comes out of
the ballgame. I'm not sure if a penalty was on

(01:39:28):
him or just getting a breather here. Slade Clayton will
check in the ballgame. Twenty one seven Opelaika with the
lead under center, goes Kobe Key here on second down
in seventeen, Come on, guys, down to fifteen on the
play clock. Now Key will drop back in the shotgun formation.
Tommy Johnson will stay in at the tail back to

(01:39:48):
the right of key and movement all over the place there,
and it's going to be a five yard penalty. There
was a lot of confusion by Opalaikya and I don't
know getting the play in and nothing ever look set
and a motion penalty and he's gonna be five more
yards tacked on. That's fifteen yards and penalties here the

(01:40:09):
past two plays back to the forty seven yard line,
second and twenty two. See if the Dogs try to
take a shot into the air here. It's been one
of Dothan's weaknesses, is the secondary. Johnson the lone back.

(01:40:29):
They'll give it to Johnson. Johnson runs straight up the middle,
straight of the middle, breaks a tackle, Tommy breaking tackles
across the forty and another flag on the far side
of the field, and he's going to be out of
bounds at the thirty seven yard line. Well, we'll see
what the flag is here. Carrie Gillon Jr.

Speaker 3 (01:40:49):
Mask your guy on the sidelines. If he knows, we'll.

Speaker 2 (01:40:52):
Wait and see a personal foul face mask against the offense.
Boy boy by Jason. I know, gotta be some frustrations
building down thereon we thought it was on the defense.
That was a face mask on the defense. All right,
we lost Jason down on the sidelines, but yeah, I

(01:41:13):
thought there was one on the defense. But that was
a personal foul against opal Aikhen's going to back it
to the thirty nine yarn line, so this will be
a second down and thirty coming up now for Opelika.
Running the football really good though. Calvin Hugley back in
the ball game. See if the Dogs can break one
here without a flag a wide out either side, and

(01:41:34):
I think coach Moore is gonna take this one. Well,
it can't quite can't. Down to twenty on the game clock.
Nine on the play clock fell handed to Calvin. Calvin
that time stood up right at the line of scrimmage.
Down to eight, down to nine, is gonna set up
a third and long as we head to the fourth quarter,

(01:41:56):
down to two, down to one. So we head to
the fourth quarter twenty one to seven our score and
Opelika with the lead. As we start the fourth quarter,
we're back after this time out. You're listening to bulldog
football here on the kicker. Well, dogs are trying to
hang on here in the start of the fourth quarter,

(01:42:18):
leading twenty one to seven. But penalties have really plagued
the Bulldogs here at the end of the third heading
into the fourth, and now the Bulldogs are backed up
here in a third and thirty situation. Dogs from there
on a thirty nine yard line. You don't want to
make a mistake here and turn the ball over. Coach,
your defense has been playing good. You gotta wide out
either side, and the tailback is Jordan Waits, but Colby

(01:42:42):
gonna drop back, wants to throw, takes a deep shot
the miller and it is in and out of his
hands in complete. It is a pass interference flag coming
on Dothan. That's gonna be a fifteen yard penalty. I
won't be first. It's not an automatic first day. It
will be a It will be a fifteen yard penalty
and unfortunate lee in high school not an automatic first down.

(01:43:03):
But there's an injured player down the one that was
in coverage on Jamari and now we'll step aside. Quick
time out eleven fifty four left twenty one seven Bulldogs
with the lead back after this time out on the kicker,
why a pass interference on Dothan will land fifteen yards

(01:43:24):
and now to be a third and fifteen, so that'll
cut the distance in half. What was a third and
thirty now a third and fifteen, and what they throw
their coach from kolbe Key almost got it end of
Jamari Miller, but got interfered with and couldn't have placed
that ball any better. Colby will work. Now with five
wide receivers here.

Speaker 3 (01:43:42):
They're playing two deep. They gonna expect him to throw
it down the field.

Speaker 2 (01:43:45):
They have two white outs either side, third and fifteen.
Key drops back, pressured steps up in the pocket. Key
trying to runs, got some open field across the forty
thirty five thirty first down, and Key slides out of
bounds at the twenty four yard line. Big first down run.
Kobe he with a scrambled run for the Lambert transferring
storage first down.

Speaker 4 (01:44:04):
I wish everybody in no Blaker could have seen that
run right there, Kobe.

Speaker 2 (01:44:08):
Awesome boy, that's things we have not seen from Kobe
And that was a wise move by mister Key. Oh gosh,
down to the twenty five yard line. First down. Bulldogs,
I formation, dogs trying to run some clock. Now eleven
forty four left in the ballgame.

Speaker 3 (01:44:24):
Brian Moore's gonna run that ball right at him.

Speaker 2 (01:44:27):
I formation handoff goes to Tommy Johnson left side and
Tommy hold onto that football and Tommy Bell mark Ford
progress down to the twenty three yard line. Gabe Smith,
the linebacker, makes the stop three yards on the play. Well,
they just give him two, so it'll be second down tonight.

(01:44:49):
Tell you all right, where the big boys got to
show up? Coach here late in this ball game. On
that offensive line, you gotta pave the way for a
w Just take your time, take your time. Thirty one,
twenty seven Auburn High with the lead in Phoenix City.
Score update on the Auburn Banks scoreboard here. Twenty one
seven Opelaika with the lead. I formation quick hand off

(01:45:11):
to Blake Johnson. Johnson across the twenty and Johnson I'll
say he stood up right at the twenty yard line.
I thought he got down to the nineteen, but that'll
be three yards gatling on the stop there for Dothan.
Calvin Hugly will check back in the ball game here
and what will be a third and five. Third and

(01:45:34):
five for the Bulldogs. Field goal here would be huge
if you can get ricent range here.

Speaker 3 (01:45:43):
Get them right in the middle. Of the field. Here,
they're on the.

Speaker 2 (01:45:45):
Twenty Calvin Hugly to the right to white outs to
the left side. They'll bring Jamari Miller in motion and
now they'll fake it and it's it's Colby Key, a
quarterback keeper and Key he's got the first down down
to the fifteen. Some nifty running by Kobe King. And
that's a first down down to the fifteen yarn line. Boy,
some nifty running there by Kobe Kings.

Speaker 3 (01:46:07):
I see that from here.

Speaker 2 (01:46:08):
Yeah, it was kind of an option play and Key
just kind of strung it out and then he cut
it up field and made a nice stop. What are
they saying, Hey, that's a fourth and short. They're gonna say, coach,
he didn't quite get it. Fourth in inches, make it
and I formation here by the Bulldogs. Key quick hand

(01:46:29):
off to Johnson. Johnson's got the first down. He's down
inside the fifteen down to the fourteen yard line, so
they didn't mark him. Just about an inch or two short.
Xavi and a Barra on the stop was a first
down run on fourth down.

Speaker 3 (01:46:47):
Take your time, Take you time, boys.

Speaker 2 (01:46:50):
Dogs lead at twenty one to seven. Here, nine to
twenty eight left in the ball game. We win in
no hurry. Tommy Johnson back in a running back for
the Bulldogs. Our receiver either side, Kolby Key out of
the shotgun. Johnson's ran the ball quite a bunch tonight

(01:47:13):
and he gets the hand off again straight up the middle,
pushing that pile. Offensive line doing a good job down
to the ten, down to the eighth. They're gonna mark
him down to the seven yard line. So a seven
yard pickup there by Tommy Johnson.

Speaker 3 (01:47:29):
I love this kind of football, man, This is my
kind of football.

Speaker 2 (01:47:33):
Second and three and Big Blake Johnson will check back
in the ball game as the clock winds down to
eight forty three and the clock continues to run here
at RIPU Stadium.

Speaker 4 (01:47:40):
Raymond Thomas, Kyle Epperson, Jackson, Lee Dare's Whitlowe and David Miller.

Speaker 3 (01:47:45):
They're doing the job up front.

Speaker 2 (01:47:47):
Twenty one to seven, Hope Alaika with the lead and
trying to add another huge score here. I formation here
Tommy Johnson will dot the I from the eight yard line,
gets the handoff Richie pushing the pile inside the five
and they're gonna mark him down at the one yard line.
Knocking on the door, boy the offense and line have

(01:48:08):
their hands up like it was a touchdown. They're gonna
mark him down at the one, though it will be
a laborate transfer in storage. First down, first and goal
from the one. Dogs trying to make this a three
score game. Here with eight to ten left in the
ball game. I formation look again here and again. Tommy

(01:48:31):
Johnson is the running back that will dot the eye.
Blake Johnson is the full bag. Key under center, and
Key gets the snap, hands the ball to Johnson who
is lunches ahead of the goal line, and touchdown Bulldog. Spinally,
a Lake signal comes in. The Bulldogs go up twenty
seven to seven overdose and was seven fifty left in

(01:48:52):
the game. Huge touchdown there and a huge drive. What
a great conversion by Kobe Key twice coach on his
legs getting first down. Sht that one down here at
the thirty one. It was huge. Yes, it is another
good job on another first down run to string it

(01:49:13):
out Reese Beasley for the extra point, Brody Jones to
hold snamp down, kick up good jogs up twenty eight seven,
seven fifty left of the ball game. Score and drive
power by Opal likea Power Services hometown people working for
you online at oplelikahpower dot com. Back after this thirty
second time out here on the kicker jogs with a

(01:49:36):
huge score here, seven fifty left in this ballgame, twenty
eight to seven. Now Opelaika with the lead over the
doping Wolves were at Ripheugh Stadium, had the Bulldogs up
now by three scores, a twenty one point lead and
another off side. That was an off side. I saw
it from this angle. It was completely obvious. Had another
off sides on special teams. Boy, it's been been a

(01:49:57):
tough nice for the special teams. And somebody pointed it
out to that line judge, and he's been all over it.
And we had a good angle on this one. Coach.
We are right on the forty our broadcast booth and
it was obvious offsides. Jason down for the four seasons

(01:50:18):
start of Credit Union sideline before Jason, I know that,
I know the coaching staff is gonna be working on that.

Speaker 7 (01:50:24):
Yeah, absolutely, But real quick, before they kick this next one,
I want to take you back to the first drive
of the second half. Offensive coordinator JD. Atkins really challenged
his offensive line to control the line of scrimmage and
he has been very pleased with these two touchdowns after
that of really dominating the line, and then right here
he'said their gas, their gas.

Speaker 2 (01:50:45):
We've got this fourth quarter? Yeah, great call that good kick.
That kick will be caught at the fifteen yard line.
And trying to return it here near side and out
of bounds of the thirty four yard line was the
very dangerous Jaden Barnes. But good job by the Dogs
to stay in their lanes. And now Dothan will start
for their own thirty five yard line and down twenty
one points here with seven forty six left in the ballgame. Well,

(01:51:11):
it's gonna be good to get hold next week. Boy,
I tell you Bulldog fans, dogs hang on here in
Dothan tonight. You better pack out Bulldog Stadium. Next week
is the enterprise Wildcats will be coming to town after
a big win over Carver and coach Ben blackmoy chatted
with him before the game. He's coach McCracken's biggest fan,
but coach McCracken will not like him. Next Friday night,

(01:51:33):
Oh I won't ah. Here we go first and ten
Wolves for their own thirty five yard line. No big
plays quarterback Broadway gets the snap, Pump fakes wants to
throw far side, it is caught. It's a nice move
at the forty yard line and cutting it up for
close to the first town as.

Speaker 3 (01:51:50):
Jaden Barrs staying bounds.

Speaker 2 (01:51:52):
Good clock will keep running, court ingram on the stop
for the Bulldogs. They say it was a first down,
so the clock will stop here at seven thirty as
they move the change. Tell you what Jaden Barnes is
a he's a problem when he gets the football in
open space. Where's seven twenty five o'clock starts back running

(01:52:13):
here in the fourth quarter broadway out of the shotgun.
He's got two receivers left side. Hey, the snap will
go to AJ Alexander who tries to run near Seine,
strung out nicely by the Bulldogs, and Leland Bell brings
him down for a one yard loss back to the
forty four yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:52:34):
That was the super play six.

Speaker 2 (01:52:37):
One hundred and seventy five pounds junior. You know, we
talk about all these senior starting coach, but there's so
many of these underclassmen that get in and get plenty
of time. Yeah, and Leland Bell another.

Speaker 4 (01:52:46):
One, Smiley that time grab that tackle. He just turned
the man never lost your tame.

Speaker 3 (01:52:52):
Great job.

Speaker 2 (01:52:55):
Line of scrimmage is the forty four yard line here,
second and eleven for Dothan. Hand off near side, good hold,
but nice tackle there. Ako Myo Polako aj Alexander on
the run and tackled by Carson Moss. Moss kind of

(01:53:15):
a hybrid linebacker, kind of plays that. Now you call
it a Rover coach.

Speaker 3 (01:53:21):
I guess he is his actual terminology.

Speaker 4 (01:53:25):
He's a strong safety, and a strong safety is just
really a bona fide linebacker.

Speaker 3 (01:53:30):
It can play it pass a little bit better than
regular linebackers.

Speaker 2 (01:53:33):
Four yard pick up there. It'll be third and seven
now for Dothans, certainly four down territory here. Broadway won't
get it. It'll go to one who hands it back
off to Barnes near side, and Barnes is hitting is
and that is mister ty Hudson. Tyson, will you cookie
is happy about that one back home and Barnes is

(01:53:57):
slow to get up after that hit from mister Hudson. Wow,
fourth down coming, no gain on the play and injury.
Time out on the field. We're back after this time out,
Dogs leading twenty eight to seven here in Dothan, with
five forty to go here on the kicker well Dothan
showing they're gonna punt it away and they do boot
it here on fourth down fair catch called for Jamari

(01:54:18):
Miller will have it at around the eighteen yard line,
So coach kind of may be surprised by that move
thereby Coach Kennedy punning in away here, but I think
that that.

Speaker 3 (01:54:31):
We might be near the end of the contest.

Speaker 2 (01:54:33):
Okay, five twenty left in the game, a three score
game right now in Opalaka back with it leading twenty
eight to seven with five twenty to go here in
the ballgame, and a reminder coming up after the game,
stay tuned for our post game show presented by Jeff
Coach Trent Funeral Home. We'll have a chance to catch
up with coach Brian more on the signline that Jason
Lee was dide a nice job filling in for Mac McCracken. Mac,

(01:54:54):
we certainly missed you tonight, and boy, I know you're
really hating you're missing this one here in Dothan, first
and ten play from the eighteen yard line, big run
by the Bulldogs Tommy Johnson with the first down up
to the thirty one yard line by a great run
thereby Tommy Johnson as he got up to the thirty

(01:55:16):
one yard line for close to thirteen yards and a
Lambert transfer and storage first down and another doth And
defender down on the field. And I think I think
they're cash right now. I think jd Adkins said it right,
you just said it. I think they're gas. Yeah, I
think they are as well.

Speaker 3 (01:55:32):
I think they're out of fuel.

Speaker 2 (01:55:34):
Another player down here for Dotha. We'll step aside twenty
eight seven, five oh nine Dogs with the first down
and in business when we come back here on the
kicker five oh one clock running I formation for the
Bulldogs first down and ten from the thirty one yard line.
Tommy Johnson hit a brick wall at the line of

(01:55:54):
scrimmage there at the thirty one. That was coming in
and making the stop was Davis la Men and Jason
Lee with the four season Federal Credit Union Sideline Report. Jason,
you said, the sideline of motion has picked up a
little bit here as we wind this one down.

Speaker 7 (01:56:13):
Yeah, for those Bulldog fans and family and friends that
couldn't make it to the trip, just want to do
a good job of describing this sideline the smiles, the hugs,
the fist bumps of just the hard work that's been
put in all season. And let's be honest and opal
Like the team has not come to Dothan and done
this before. Just a lot of excitement of that hard
work paying off.

Speaker 2 (01:56:31):
Yeah, second and ten play, quick hand off Johnson, Oh god,
fumbled the football at the forty one yard line and
Dothan's back with it. Boy Blake Johnson was going for
second effort there and he just spun up towards the
first down marker and lost that football and Dothan's gonna
have it at the forty one. So a little bit
of life back there for the Wolves, and just to

(01:56:53):
see excitement on the sideline was building as the Dogs
are trying to run this clock out. A costly fumble there.
Opell Like is still leading twenty eight to seven, but
certainly didn't want to give wrap that one for the
Wolves at the forty one. Well, the defense has been
playing good.

Speaker 3 (01:57:12):
I think you're gonna see him try some trickery right
here on this first play.

Speaker 2 (01:57:18):
He picked up and leave immediately at the end of
the ball.

Speaker 3 (01:57:21):
Game, Let's say on field, be careful now that they're
gonna run something. They're gonna run something here.

Speaker 2 (01:57:29):
And Dothan first and ten at the open like a
forty one after that fumble and a quick snap goes
to the tailback Alexander and he goes nowhere. That was
I think Tyler Moore in there on the stop for
the Bulldogs. He got to the forty. That was a
one yard pickup. So second down and nine as we
wind down three point fifty five remaining here in the ballgame,

(01:57:50):
opal like again, leading twenty eight to seven, with a
twenty one point lead. As we whind this one down,
Dothan in no hurry at all right now, Hell no
they're not. I think Dothan has conceded the ballgame, but
it's trying to play this one out. TJ. Vickers is
the quarterback here for Dothan, and this one we'll go

(01:58:14):
to Alexander here near side, and he has hit wrapped
up and tackled near near side. Came from the ballin.
Jackson was on the stop and also Josh Davis.

Speaker 3 (01:58:24):
Who is number ninety three at that time.

Speaker 4 (01:58:27):
That's Josh Davis, Josh him all the way from the backside.

Speaker 3 (01:58:30):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:58:30):
Great hustle, great hustles. Three yard pickup. It'll be third
down and six coming up here for Dothan three to nine.
Remaining here in the ballgame, Dothan with the football at

(01:58:53):
the Bulldog thirty seven, trailing here by twenty one points,
twenty eight to seven. Ople like a league, quick snap
goes to the blocking back and he's going to have
enough for the first down. That is a sneaky play.
Still on his feet, he's fresh, he's inside the twenty
down to the eighteen yard line. Coach, has been a
while since Tanner Johnson got the ball, and boy he

(01:59:15):
was pulling the fenders and running down the field.

Speaker 3 (01:59:18):
Was that an eighteen yard game?

Speaker 2 (01:59:20):
Here? That was down to the eighteen yard line? Twenty
three yards? Run that clock, run that clock, two thirty
four remaining both a continuing to run that clock here

(01:59:41):
with the Bulldogs up twenty eight to seven, I'd love
to keep them out of the end zone. Here. Snap
goes down Alexander the tailback, and he has brought down
at the fifteen down a head to the fourteen. They'll
mark him Alan Jackson on that stop. That was a
four yard pickup. But of course that clock continuing to
run here, two nine to two eight clock continuing to roll,

(02:00:05):
American flag coming down, coach, they're ready to head to
the house. Yeah, that's that's a sign.

Speaker 5 (02:00:11):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (02:00:12):
Yeah, that's a sign. That's like when the band leaves
at the end of the third quarter, it's over.

Speaker 2 (02:00:16):
From one point fifty four clock running here in the
ball game, stap goes to Alexander running here near side
and tackle down at the eleven yard line. Flight will
continue to run one forty two three yard pickup on
the ground. Well, they already made an announcement basically, get

(02:00:37):
out of here when this game's over. Don't get on
the field. And yep, they may shut the lights out
on us, hopefully.

Speaker 3 (02:00:42):
Lakedrick Brooks ran that guy down from the back side.
That was great hustle.

Speaker 2 (02:00:48):
Yeah, Lakedrick's going to be a good player. He's been
getting a lot of playing time down the stretch. Number
forty six quarterback again TJ. Dicker's number three work in
the quarterback position here with one eleven left in the
ballgame and the snap of double handoff goes here near sides.
Strung out beautifully by the Bulldogs Alan Jackson and also

(02:01:10):
Tremaine Thomas on the stop bringing back. That was number
fourteen Ladarius Thomas who was on the run there, and
it's going to be fourth down here for Dothan. Fifty
two seconds left and Coach Kennedy will take a time
out as one final hopefully played by the defense, will
go here with fifty two seconds left the clock it's

(02:01:30):
stopped and we'll take a quick break. Twenty eight to seven,
Bulldogs with the lead on their way to a big
region victory here in Dothan. We're back after this time
out here on the kicker well, fifty two seconds left
here from rep views, Bulldog is gonna have a big

(02:01:52):
road win tonight. Twenty eight to seven. They leave doth
in a fourth down coming up here for the Wolves
at the fourteen of Opolaika. They can get a first
down inside the nine yard line. Broadway will come back
in for this fourth down play and Coach Kennedy will
take another time out and we will step aside as well.
Twenty eight to seven, fifty two seconds left. We're back
after this time out here on the kicker. Fourth down

(02:02:16):
play here for Dothan. It'll be a play action. Broadway
wants to throw to the end zone and it is
incomplete and that will do it final play. Therefore, the
Dothan Wolves and Opalaika of forty five seconds left, we'll
get in the victory formation. Coach McCracken take a knee
and head back to the Parkway with a big win
here in Dothan. Yes, sir, very very proud of these guys.

(02:02:37):
They played.

Speaker 4 (02:02:39):
They played defense away they're supposed to. We didn't let
them have big plays. We stopped that running game, not completely,
but we stopped it.

Speaker 2 (02:02:49):
Last win at Riphues coach twenty eleven, and that was
over Dothan, the old Dothan School, and that was a
twenty one to seven win. Last time the Bulldogs. Ople
has never won against Dothan High School. They've been owing two.
They will go down to one and two against the
Dothan Wolves team.

Speaker 3 (02:03:08):
Buy coach of cheese Burger on the way home there and.

Speaker 2 (02:03:11):
We could all right, Koby Key will drop down to
a knee and Opelika should have to snap it one
more time and that will do it. Twenty eight to seven.
Twenty eight to seven going to be the final score
here tonight, as the Dogs will improve to six and

(02:03:33):
one on the season, three and one in the area,
a first win over this Dothan High School team since
they combine here in just the third meeting. We're owing
two against us bunch coming in and had a tough
time against them. Colby Key drops to a knee and
that will do it. Bulldog fans, make sure and make
that trip next week to Bulldog Stadium. It's a short

(02:03:54):
trip for you, and this is a bunch. It's going
to be riding some momentum and should finally get some
respect in the state and maybe get a vote inside
the top ten. How about it, sports riders, I think so,
I think? What do you think about this twenty eight
to seven win on the road here at rip Peers
postgame show coming up next. It is brought to you
by our friends at Jeff Coach Trent Funeral Home and

(02:04:15):
we'll visit with coach Brian Moore as we continue. You're
listening to Bulldog football here on the Kicker. Welcome back
here to Ripheu Stadium where the Bulldog's vote Pelaika went
at twenty eight to seven over the doth In the
Wolves in a huge, big game and a coach won

(02:04:36):
that the Dog's gotten down seven, nothing had to battle
back after a turnover and ever since that point, Coach,
it was twenty eight unanswered points. What a night for
this defense was?

Speaker 4 (02:04:45):
It was beautiful the first that first drive of theirs
was so ugly, and then we came back and put
twenty eight on the board.

Speaker 2 (02:04:53):
And I'm going to tell you something, all right, Hey, well,
if let's head down, coach. I see Jason Lee now
he's standing by coach Brian.

Speaker 7 (02:05:01):
Coach, you give up seven quick, quick points early in
the first quarter because of the turnover, and after that
just total domination on both sides of the ball. And
I know you got a senior laden team, but a
lot of guys really grew up today, didn't they, No doubt.

Speaker 6 (02:05:13):
I mean obviously Kobe did you know he had a
huge run on third and sixteen. I thought that was
the probably the play of the game. Great job by
our kids of continuing to fight. Yeah, we muffed the
punt and that can't happen.

Speaker 3 (02:05:24):
We've had two.

Speaker 6 (02:05:24):
Turnovers back to back weeks. Eight turnover back to back weeks.
In the return game, We've got to clean it up.

Speaker 2 (02:05:29):
We will.

Speaker 6 (02:05:30):
But I'm so proud of our kids. This is the
one we hadn't been able to win. And for us,
you know, I'm just really really proud of them, and
they fought their guts out. We played like the defense
I thought we would have tonight. I really thought we
had an elite defense and finally, you know, we put
it all together.

Speaker 3 (02:05:44):
Really really proud of our kids.

Speaker 7 (02:05:46):
Talk about the mentality of your team. Most of your
positive plays came after something negative, whether it was the
fumble or a penalty off sides there on the kickoff,
but comes right back on offense and score scores anyway,
or defense gets a stop anyway. Talk about that mentality
here late in the season. Won these last couple of games.

Speaker 3 (02:06:02):
That's huge.

Speaker 6 (02:06:02):
I mean obviously, you know, just just obviously about takeaways,
I mean that's huge, but also just fighting and keeping
you know, we had also the fumble here with Blake,
you know, but we did a great job of getting
a stop there. So you know, just really proud of
our kids. And you know, I think that started Jason
back last week we had the nineteen play drive and
we were able to get a stop, you know, at
the one yard line. Just continuing to fight. That's becoming
who we are as the character of our program. And again,

(02:06:25):
it's just it's just huge that it shows up back
to back weeks.

Speaker 7 (02:06:28):
All right, I'm gonna get you up the van and coach,
if you'll put this in our heresision you can't hear me, okay, right,
all right, go ahead up there.

Speaker 2 (02:06:35):
All right, hey, coach, congratulations on this big win. I
know this is you mentioned how difficult to just to
prepare for this offense and how it was all week.
Just talk about the way your defense was able to
just limit the big plays from the from the offense.

Speaker 6 (02:06:49):
Well, it's it's all preparation, you know. I mean, obviously
it did a great job during the week. Our scout kids, listen,
now I'm bringing them to the to the coaches lunch
and Thursday, all those scouts are coming.

Speaker 3 (02:06:58):
To get whatever mischi they's got to eat. And those
guys are gonna get.

Speaker 6 (02:07:02):
In there and and uh because they're doing a great job, man,
and uh we call them Moore's maniacs. Just just you know,
they're they're playing so hard and and uh giving our
defense a look and then our defense to come out
tonight under the lights to execute that, you know, to
limit big plays. I mean, if you think about like
the double pass and the wheels and things that they
have off of stuff that the throwing guys out of
the backfield that you can't see, sneaking guys around. Really

(02:07:23):
only the screen early in the ball game, you know,
was the only one that really got us other ones.
I thought we were really clean seeing those things. That
comes from a veteran back in. Really proud of our safeties,
uh in our corners for having great eyes. Tonight, it
was our best night as far as I discipline and
doing your job.

Speaker 2 (02:07:38):
Yeah, I thought your offensive line responded to the challenge
you set for him at halftime too.

Speaker 3 (02:07:43):
There's no doubt.

Speaker 6 (02:07:43):
I mean, I thought, you know, we were really sloppy early,
you know, when we continue to challenge that group because
we think we can be great up there, I really do.
You know, we have four seniors up there and a
really really good young sophomore and then a couple of
seniors that are in the rotation as well. So I'm really,
you know, really happy with that group overall. But tonight,
in the first half, much like Pike Road, you know,
it didn't feel great. You know, heavy box numbers. But

(02:08:06):
here's the deal, Kobe hit some throws tonight that kind
of softened that thing. As you saw to Jamari, you know,
and I was really proud of that and the fact
that he stood in there made some plays and then
made some plays with his feet as well, but proud
of the offensive line for getting much much better as
the game went on.

Speaker 4 (02:08:20):
All Right, here's coach real quick, Brian Moore. Yeah, I'm
so proud of your son. Hey, you are the Scout
Team Quarterback of the Year.

Speaker 3 (02:08:30):
I'm going again. I'm gonna get your trophy at the
end of the year. Hey, I'm telling you that.

Speaker 4 (02:08:34):
Appreciate Hey, I thought you defense did great and you
and I talked about this about possession. We ended up
having nine more possessions than they had and that that
was a big difference in the game.

Speaker 3 (02:08:48):
Well, it certainly was not the case at halftime.

Speaker 2 (02:08:51):
No, no, it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (02:08:52):
But but we went from twenty we had four possessions
to their twenty two. But it had if we cut
it twenty nine to twenty. Right, So we you know,
we got back a little bit as week as the half.
But I'm gonna tell you something that run Kobe Key
made in Hey, that broke them.

Speaker 2 (02:09:10):
It did.

Speaker 3 (02:09:11):
That broke their spirit. Man. Anyway, congratulations, I want you.

Speaker 6 (02:09:15):
To have a great, great weekend. Okay, coach, I appreciate it.
We got three more.

Speaker 3 (02:09:20):
Gotta beat Ben Blackman next Friday.

Speaker 6 (02:09:22):
We're gonna do everything we can. He's got a good team,
but we'll do all we can. And we did another
great week of prep. I feel like we're pretty healthy,
Thank goodness, because we've got three more that are gonna
be just like this one, physical and we're gonna have
to play great to win. But we'll be excited to
get back home for two in a row now at
bulldogg Stadium here with Enterprises Central, back to back.

Speaker 3 (02:09:40):
So really pleased with this win on the road.

Speaker 6 (02:09:42):
This is a tough place to play, and we overcame
penalties and we just did a great job of staying
on the grass in the second half. J. D. Atkins
and his staff did an awesome job to finish the
ball game and then had a massy good.

Speaker 3 (02:09:53):
Grief tell them about two thousand and the.

Speaker 2 (02:09:55):
First time we won here since twenty eleven. Wow. Yeah, coach,
congratulations on the win.

Speaker 6 (02:10:02):
Thanks so much, Thanks fan, Thanks coach, appreciate you, gay biddy.

Speaker 2 (02:10:04):
