Speaker 2 (01:19):
Well, we welcome you back to Bulldog Stadium. The friendly
confines here at Bulldog Stadium as a Dog's after two
road wins, find themselves on the home stretch, in a
position they've never been in before, a chance to get
to the seven A State playoffs, and Dogs could not
quite seal up a spot in the playoffs with a
win tonight, but a win next week, basically a win

(01:39):
tonight and then one of two wins coming up on
the schedule would get the Dogs in the playoffs. It
could be a complicated scenario, but coach McCracken, what we
got to do is just win. That's the key, and
it's start share to night against a very good Enterprise team.
The Dogs are zero to two against Enterprise the last
two meetings, first time in school history that enterprise has
not the Dogs off againstxecutive games. And you look at

(02:01):
the win at Opal like a for Enterprise a couple
of years ago. Coach here at Bulldog Stadium, that was
the first win for the Wildcats here at Bulldog Stadium
since nineteen sixty eight. That was the first meeting ever
between these two teams, and Ope Lika still leads overall
series fifteen to eight. Last year a tough loss at
Enterprise and on a Thursday night, and then of course
the year before we mentioned they came in here. The

(02:23):
Hawks had a chance to maybe go down and tie
the game late and potentially go for a two point
conversion to tie the game. But in both of those games,
the iFIT struggle. That was something we taught to coach
Brian Moore earlier this week and just got to do
what he's continues this team is done year in and
year out. Run the football well and also continue the
throwing game.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
I completely agree with you Van.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
I think each game we need to get better and
better at five or six things. And when I get
the keys of the game in a few minutes, I'm
going to explain that team to all the fans. But listen, Enterprise.
I can think about Enterprise when I was at Robert E.

(03:07):
Lee High School and Bill Bacon was coaching, and they
had boy, they were good every year every year, and.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
They're a great program, and.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
I feel like, I don't know if everybody feels the
way I do, but when I come out here every
Friday night, I feel like we're gonna win the football game.
And we've had great practices this week. Just gotta take
care of business, run the football. I'll get into those
keys in a minute, but all football is is the

(03:41):
team that late makes the least mistakes once you kick
it off, and hopefully we're gonna make the least mistakes
between us and Enterprise, but they've got a really good
football team. We've got a really good football team, and
a win tonight will propel us into the playoffs, which

(04:01):
I can't I can't wait for im.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
I'm just I've been Let me tell you what last Friday.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Night when we got home from Dothan, it was so
great that the Alabama State band didn't come down there
and perform, and the officiate was really pretty good down there,
and we beat Dothan.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
After being down seven to nothing.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
We come back and score twenty eight on them, and
I think that's a credit to coach more in the
football team.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
But here we are, seventh game, let's get it done
all right right now?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Enterprise faced Carver in a battle between two of the
States type teams last Thursday. Enterprise escaped that with a
seventeen to fourteen winning as we mentioned, and of course
is we've been following along Opal like a dominating win
last week on the road to Ripeuse Stadium over doth
In twenty eight to seven. Dogs. Coming to this one
six and one, three and one in area play Dothan Iris.
It's an Enterprise four and two, two and two in

(05:01):
the region. We come back, we'll have our sit down
with coach Brian Moore as we continue our pregame show,
presented to you by Frederick Dean Funeral Home. As we
come to you each every week from the Orthopedic Clinic
Broadcast Booth, East Alabama's go to center for orthopedic care.
You're listening to Bulldog Football here on the Kicker.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Now it's time for a pregame visit with Opelanca head
football coach Brian Moore, presented by South State Bank. Now
with coach here's Van Riggs.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Big game tonight here against the Enterprise Wildcats here inside
Bulldog Stadium. Coach, I know it was important to get
the first win last week down this home stretch against
doth and congratulations on that big win, just kind of
to kind of take us through the win and what
it meant for the program.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
I thought it was a big you know, for a
momentum to continue.

Speaker 6 (05:41):
Hees fourth winning in a row, and that matters for
our kids right now and sort of the state of
our program.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
And you know, I think for us to realize that
we can win.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
One of those big region games, especially on the road,
but again to come home be able to play a
really good enterprise team at home with the momentum we have,
you know, hopefully we'll have a big night tonight.

Speaker 7 (06:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
And the way your team were spinning, getting down early
seven and nothing on the road, and after that big
score by Jamari on that reverse play, it was just
like your team never looked back.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
I think once again, momentum even within the ball game.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
You know, the level of opponent we play, you know,
it's it's the margin for error is very slim, and
you know, you got to create those big plays and
I think, you.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
Know, we're trying to find those.

Speaker 6 (06:22):
We've been hunting those all year and Jamari's certainly the
guy to make those. But I thought that sort of
took the lid off and you know, made us kind
of settle into the ball game. Other than the first
dry I really defensive played really well, and part of
that was a muff punt as far as field position
is concerned. But you know, really pleased where we were defensively,
and again we got to keep making those big plays.
We got to run it a little bit better, you know,

(06:42):
we had to do. We kind of we had four
snaps in the first quarter.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
That can't happen. We gotta be a little better on offense,
especially early in the ballgame.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Talk about your quarterback, Kobe Key, what a game he played,
and even of course during the stretch of the game
when he had to make the plays with his legs,
he was able to do.

Speaker 8 (06:57):
So.

Speaker 6 (06:58):
He grows every week, you know, and we felt like
we threw it more. I think we threw it eight
times in the game, which is unbelievable. But we hit
some big ones. We hit Jamari in the middlefield on
a post and then hit him on a a fade
ball against tight man coverage. Great throw by Colby, but
you're right, his feet were the difference. Third and fifteen,
third and sixteen. You know, he scrambles out to our

(07:18):
sideline slides out of bounds after a twenty two yard game.
Just just a great job in what you could see though,
was our sideline, you know, running to kind of lift
him up and really rally behind him. So we're gonna
need that. He's gonna have to make plays in the game,
and just proud of what he did.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Yeah, And I think one of the most impressive throws
he made was the pass interference that Jamori almost called
it a double coverage right on the sideline, which gave you,
you know, an extra fifteen yards which led to him
being able to scramble for the first down.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
There's no doubt.

Speaker 6 (07:45):
I think it was like second and thirty or something
like that at that time, third and thirty, I don't remember,
but that's the best story he's ever made for us.
I mean, that was a field corner, so that was
probably a forty five yard throw in the air and
absolutely dropped it, you know, in a bucket, and Jamari
almost came up with that ball after geting knocked around
by two defenders.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
So huge play there. Then you're right, I mean, it
led to the conversion on.

Speaker 6 (08:05):
The next play, and then it ultimately led to the
twenty eight to seven lead and we drove in and scored.
So I thought that was really big. He's got to
make throws like that, and he can. He's capable, and
we got to keep trusting him as a year goes.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
On special teams. You also got the field goal block,
which was big the only other time Dothan really threatened
to score.

Speaker 6 (08:20):
Yeah, I mean that's something you know, and we ate
a state dinner on Sunday, you know, our kids. Anytime
we block a kick, we get fed, and so that's
how we do it on Sundays. And it was great
to see Carson Moss came through the leak, got his
hands on it and Cord was kind of bending off
the edge.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
But that's something that we haven't done this year.

Speaker 8 (08:38):
You know.

Speaker 6 (08:38):
I think that maybe the first field goal attempted against
us on the year, which is actually kind of incredible.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
But our defense played extremely well.

Speaker 6 (08:46):
They were their best Friday night, and we'll need them
to be that way again tonight.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I thought the secondary played really good too. There was
a couple of times they tried to make passes downfield
and the cornerbacks and secondary guys were all over them.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
There's no doubt stayed on top of everything. You know,
Keevan and Teres are playing in a really high level.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
Of course, Cord and Devon.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
Devin came up and tackled a couple of times, did
a great job there. And then Norman matthew Is getting
a pick dropping under an out route was huge because
we were trying to sub and getting Carson out of
the game right there at that strong safety position just
really please our back end. You know, Coach Dawkins and
coach Smith are doing a great job with them, and
they continue to grow every week and they'll be challenging
different ways obviously this week, but not only this week,

(09:26):
but Central and Carver as well.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
So we're got to continue to play really well back there.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
All right, we'll continue our visit with coach Brian Moore
as we get ready for Enterprise tonight here inside Bulldog Stadium.
You're listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker back
here at Bulldog Stadiums to get ready for a blanca
in Enterprise tonight, a big one here in a region
showdown and a make or break win really for both
teams tonight. Coach, when you talk about playoffs, it's almost

(09:52):
like the playoffs every week, and I know, your boys
know the importance of this.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
One huge game.

Speaker 6 (09:56):
You know, for us obviously, you know a position we
haven't been in necessarily as far as you know, being
in the driver's seat. I guess you could say, you know,
the nice thing is we put us put ourselves in
a position where it is, you know, you need to
win them. But there are other opportunities, so we don't
want to make it necessarily the.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
Super Bowl, but we do need to win. You know.
We we got to protect our home field advantage. That's
a big deal.

Speaker 6 (10:19):
Winning in Bulldog Stadium matters, and we've got to do
a great job tonight against a team that's better, in
my opinion than Dothan and a team that's gotten our
you know, gotten us the last two years. So uh,
they're extremely well coached, really dynamic players.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
I mean some of their guys are in credit.

Speaker 6 (10:35):
You know, I got SEC guys running around and Ohio
State commit so you know, they're a really good team
with a really good quarterback.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
And like I mentioned, they'll be really well coached. We'll
have to be on top of our game tonight.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
What I know last year and in the years against Enterprise,
the offense has really struggled to move the football. What
do you see from this defense? I know you mentioned
the SEC players, but what do you got to do
offensively to move the football against them?

Speaker 7 (10:56):
Well, you've got to be right, you know.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
I mean, your communication up front has to be perfect.
You know, when when there are plays to be made,
you have to make them. They're not going to beat themselves.
They're extremely well coached that on that side too. They
do a great job defensively as well as far as
their scheme and how sound they are and the way
that they fit things. So they're also really multiple. I mean,
you know, it's not like six and five and their
dynamic players are going to line up in one spot

(11:18):
all night. You're gonna have to locate those guys and
obviously try and keep the ball away from them a
little bit, but you just can't let them impact the
game too much with a you know, a strip sack
or you know, a pick six or something like that.
Got to do a great job of sort of limiting
their impact on this game. That's easier said than done,
but I think that's the key to it. And again,
we got to be really clean up front. I didn't
think in the first half early against Oath them we're

(11:40):
very clean in the run game, had four negative plays
early in the game, which is not like us at all.
And so we got to get back to that team
that played Auburn, you know, and ran the football effectively in.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
That game, and and just get back to some of
that efficiency deal. Like we talk about, we're not extremely explosive.
We have some explosive players, but we got to be
really efficient.

Speaker 6 (11:58):
And methodically move the football, stay ahead of the chains,
get out of these penalties we've had last few weeks,
and just clean up everything offensively.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
All right, coach, appreciate the visit, good luck tonight, thank you,
and go dogs. Head coach Brian Or we come back
more of our pregame show as we continue getting ready
for Opelike and Enterprise here on the Kicker.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
You are listening to Opelika High School Football here on
ninety seven point seven Kicker FM. Now it's time for
Coach Spence mccrackens Keys to the Game presented by Glenn Smiths,
Chevrolet GMC and Opal I got get ready to smile.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
All right, it is that time of the night. Coach
Spitzer mccrack in the Hall of Famer are gonna break
down what the Bulldogs have to do tonight to win
this big key reaching game against the Enterprise Wildcats. And coach,
you always throw a lot at us what you got tonight.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
And nothing's changed by the game. Hadn't changed anything. We've
got two on defense I want to start on tonight.
Enterprise has a very very good running game. They run option,
they run power, they run speed sweeps, they run reverses,
they run counters, et cetera, et ceterric, et cetera. We've

(13:13):
got to stop their running game. Let's not give them
over two yards of carry on first down. Don't give
them any big plays, the ten yards on the run,
fifteen yards on the pass.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Make sure that we stop them on third down.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
We don't want to give We want to get our
defense off the field and fourth down conversions. Don't do
anything stupid on defense, guys like late hits, running your mouth,
doing anything like that. We don't play football like that.
We play opal like of football. No stupid penalties.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
And make sure that we take care of trick plays.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
They're going to run about four or five trick plays tonight,
and our secondary has got to really be ready. Make
sure that they play pass first and run second because
they're gonna try some of these trick plays. Okay, now, offensively,
not very many goals on offense, but they're very important.

(14:15):
We got to be able to run the football. Hugh
Glee's got to be able to run it. Blake Johnson's
got to be able to run it. Kobe Key's got
to be able to run it. We need to make
four yards of carry or more. Don't turn the ball over,
no fumbles, no interceptions. We don't want to get Enterprise

(14:36):
excited about anything tonight, so they'll enjoy their ride home tonight.
So we want to make sure don't turn the ball over.
We need big plays. Hey, big plays beat us. We
beat Dothan on big plays last week. Run over ten,
pass over fifteen. Want to make sure we make those

(14:56):
big plays. And no, of course we're not gonna have
any stupid penalties on offense either, like the camp don't
jump off sides, things like that, and I'm gonna add
one tonight. Want Kobe Key to understand this, no mistakes, Kobe.
We want to play good sound football and you've been

(15:17):
doing that all year and we fully expect that from
you tonight. So good luck to you, and I want
to add just one thing Van before I turn it
back over to you. The the five and you've already heard.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Me talk about the critical times of the game.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
First five minutes, last five minutes, last first five, third.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Quarter, last five of the game.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
But just remember this, every play last five to six seconds,
five to six seconds. So every one of these football
players are playing about three minutes and thirty seconds a game.
That's all they're on the field. So they need to
hustle and play horror every snap. Do your job, play hard,

(16:03):
play smart, and play tough. God bless him dogs man.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
All right, there's your keys, the gamers in my Glensmiths,
Chevy GMC and Opelika get ready to smile. We'll continue
with our pregame show presented by Frederick Dean Funeral Hall.
After this time out Opelikah and Enterprise on the way
here on the kicker just about ready for tonight's coin toss.

(16:30):

(17:15):
at the middle of the field, white Hat introduces himself
to each of the team members as well. My name
Vision Stanley.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Want to be the rushery? This is a verst fer.
Who's gonna be your umpire?

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Okay, we expect the good.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Clean game. Can everybody ever really?

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Why Enterprise, you're the visiting team. You get to choose
heads or tails? What's the call to tails?

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Is the call? It is two? What do you wanna do?

Speaker 2 (17:40):
You're gonna defer to the second half, so you're gonna
get the ball? Okay, all right? So Enterprise wins the toss.
They defer to the second half, so we'll see the
Bulldogs on offense starting things out here tonight inside Bulldog Stadium.
We'll come back with your kickoff at a night's big
matchup between Ope Like and Enterprise on the way next
right here on the Kicker w.

(18:37):
down into the low sixties, maybe even the upper fifties
for the first time that I will head down for
a four seasons Federal Credit Union Shideline report. As the
Bulldogs storm the field and get ready to kick this
one off, Mac, I know these boys are ready to
go oh yeah, they about.

Speaker 7 (18:53):
To run me over.

Speaker 6 (18:54):
Van.

Speaker 9 (18:56):
He's good to be back here, back home here at
Bulldog Stadium.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
Uh, you know, a lot of excitement for these boys tonight. Fans.
The fans are packed out here.

Speaker 9 (19:04):
A great student section on breast cancer awareness a month,
so it's good to see all the pink out here
this evening.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
And he you know, before the.

Speaker 9 (19:14):
Game, great great prayer by by team Chaplin, Tommy Ray,
Mister Tommy Ray. Of course, all prayers are good, and
it was just phenomenal, just trying to just pray for
safety for both these teams and and just just letting
them come together. Coach More just told him, he said, guys,
I want to clearhead this evening, Claire, play hard. Let's
let's play a game where we finally come out strong

(19:34):
in the first half instead of just kind of just uh,
you know.

Speaker 3 (19:37):
Just temporarily getting through getting through.

Speaker 9 (19:39):
He wants a complete game tonight, which we haven't had yet,
so he's encouraging him.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Let's do it tonight, boys. All right, Thanks so much, Matt.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
We appreciate all the viewers on the NFHS network and
also watching us state wide on w O, T M,
t V. We appreciate vents early in the entire team
at w O t EM. Here's the enterprise line drive
kick from Jose Rocha and it's caught at the ten
yard line, returnable by the Bulldogs. This is Jalen Washington
forest side. Jalen still on his feet twenty five and
Jalen pushed down the bounds up close to the thirty

(20:07):
yard line, so a good return there by Washington. We'll
see what the Bulldog offense can do right out of
the gate. Chance to take control early. Coach mccracky, good
job we got.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Tremaine Thomas had left tackle, Kyle Epperson left guard, Jackson
Lee at center, Darius Whitlow, and David Miller up front.
Kobe Lee's your quarterback, Blake Johnson's your full back. Uh,
Calvin Hugley is your tailback. Brody Jones, Jamar Miller, and
Quez Johnson. Your receivers go golf.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
So the Dogs will start for their own thirty one
yard line. Two wide receivers left side, and the loan
back will be Calvin Hugeley Blake Johnson, the big fullback
will move in motion to the left side. Key gets
the snap handoff, goes to check that Jordan Wakes, who
starts at tailback. Wakes cuts at the thirty five, Wakes
across the forty Wakes has a first down at the

(20:57):
forty two yard line. Good run there by Jordan and
waits up to the forty two. That's an eleven yard
pickup and a Lambert transferred storage first down.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Right job.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
That's a big play, a first down and eleven yards rushing.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
Great way to start the game. There's a name that
left side by Trey Mont Thomas.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Man that on the Enterprise side on the far side
of the field, and we'll have to check on the
condition of that Wildcat player. So we got a time
out on the field. Early first down run for the Bulldogs,
but time out here, we'll step aside. You're listening to
Bulldog football here on the kicker linebacker out for Enterprise
first and ten Bulldogs from there on forty two. Key

(21:36):
Scramble's right throws, he's got it to Brody Jones near
the first down mark across the fifty down to the
enterprise forty eight yard line. Walker Clark on the stop
for the Wildcats. So then they're gonna mark him right
out enough for the firm well they're gonna market second
down in short at the forty nine of enterprise. A
good throwing catch, Keith scrambling there. Walker Turner was the

(21:58):
linebacker that was in out on the play. Now are
out in the game right now for the Wildcats. Second
and short at the enterprise forty nine. Key gets the snap,
throws here in near size of Quest. Johnson. Quest slips
of tackle. He's got a first down. Quest still on
his feet and trying to drag the fenders. He's around
the forty two yard line where they'll mark him down.
And that's a Lambert transfer and storage first down. Little

(22:20):
extra curricular here on the near side. No flags though,
and they separate. Zion Grady gets the stop. They'll actually
mark him down at the forty four yard line.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Here's how many yards man about.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Six marked him down at the forty four four yard pickup. Okay,
that's the first down, enough for the first down on
that screen that Johnson down to the forty four of enterprise.
First and ten. Bulldogs were just underway here in a
scoreless game. And here's a handoff and this is again
Jordan Waits over.

Speaker 8 (22:55):
Twenty boy Droydon waits the ball carrier you're not by another.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
That was a three yard pick up. It'll set up
a second down and eight.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
Nice little fake on the speech Sweek hand it back
good running by Waits yep.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Second out at eight nine to fifty seven. We are scoreless.
Nine fifty two clock running under center, goes kolbe Key.
He'll check the sidelines. I formation here with Calvin Hugly
dot in the ie big Blake Johnson the fullback here,
check it down in seven, hand off to Hugly, good
hole left side, hugely across the thirty five and Hugly
down to the thirty four yard line. And that's gonna

(23:32):
be enough, I believe for a Lambert transfer in storage.
First down it is, and the dogs marching down the
field at the right kept thirty four.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
Epperson, Tramone, Thomas, Jackson, Lee and Whitlow and Millard. Keep
it up, boys, This is the Blake Johnson offense right here.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
I formation again here dogs loading up. There goes Johnson.
Johnson slips attackle outside the twenty five. Johnson inside the
ten and dragged down by the five, and he's down
to the two.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
Hold you van.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Blake Johnson nearly got in the end zones Esyan Grady
drags him down from behind, and it's gonna be first
in gold Bulldogs at the two yard line of enterprise?

Speaker 3 (24:13):
Is that about a how long we have on that one?

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Thirty two yard pickup?

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Beautiful?

Speaker 8 (24:22):
Where's down from the two?

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Here's first and goal from the two and guess what
I formation again? Johnson the full back and the back
is Jordan waits Key under center, quick handoff too Johnson.
Johnson ran into his blocker, goes left. He's in the
end zone. Touchdown Bulldogs and Opelika takes the lead with
eight fifty two remaining here in the first quarter. Six
nothing Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Ah, what a great drive.

Speaker 7 (24:48):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
That was awesome. Great blocking up front.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
They got that eye of the last two plays, Blake Johnson,
Blake Johnson on both of them. Nah that I want
to tell you that young man is six one two forty.
Great job, super play.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
So here's the point after attempt by Reese Beasley and
puts it down. The kickup and good score and drive
power by open like a Power Services hometown people working
for you. Dogs march it right down the field on
the opening drive open like a seven enterprise nothing. We're
back after this time out here on the kicker. Hello,

(25:37):
heck of an opening drive there for the Bulldogs. They
lead it seven to nothing over Enterprise eight point fifty two.
Dogs started the drive, coaching marched it right down the
field about the.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
First five minutes of the game. Just beautiful.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
And here's Reees Beasley to kick it off for the Bulldogs.
Reese's lined up shore. Looks like they're going to kick
it maybe to the sideline here and it is a
short boot. That's gonna be fair catch call fourth to
twenty eight yard line. That's okay, and that fair catch
was taken by Enterprise number seventeen Braidon Cook a tight end.

(26:11):
So the Wildcats will have it just inside. They're thirty
at the twenty nine yard line. First and ten for
the Wildcats. So we'll see what this big defense for
Opalaika can do that. So they'll mark it right at
the thirty. So they'll have it first and ten from
their own thirty yard.

Speaker 8 (26:23):
Line, their own thirty yard line.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Fan look for number four or five is a wide
out now.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
As we'll go along here, seven nothing Opelika with the lead.
First possession here for the Wildcats. Quarterback Burkhart will toss
it left side and a good run by the tailbag
Dylan Smith.

Speaker 4 (26:41):
That's too much. Come on, guys, I said a little
toss sweep. Can't get outside of contained.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Thirteen Tyree Pitt, Tyler Moore on the stop there, Tyreese
Pitt's also.

Speaker 8 (26:54):
Hey, John second down too.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Second down and two coming up here for the Wildcats
where they're on thirty eight yard line. Quarterback option play,
quarterback hit and stop for a yard loss. There's our
should say he picked up a yard. That's Malik Contry
in there on the stop for the Bulldogs. And it's
going to be third and one coming up here for
the Wildcats football at the thirty nine yard line, burn

(27:21):
down one.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
All right, let's go Dacy if we can get a
stop here on.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
This first first drive. Burke Hart out of the shotgun.
You know, the tailback is Dylan Smith. Third and one
here for the Wildcats. Eight eleven o'clock running here in
the first quarter. Wildcats, when they're on thirty nine yard line.
Burkhart gets the snap, hands it to Smith. Smith wrapped
up in the backfield. He's going down. He didn't get
the first down. He lost the yard. I think they'll

(27:47):
say forward progress back to the line of scrimmage. But
it'll be fourth and one coming up here for the Wildcats,
and we'll see just what the coaching staff decides to
do here on a fourth down situation. I think they're
putting it back. They gonna punt. Looks like Lynch Sawyer
the punter, is gonna come on into the field.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Great fan, it can't be no better than that first
drive three and out. Wait a goat Dogs.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
That will send Jamari Miller, a dangerous return man for
the Bulldogs, back inside his thirty yard line. Ople like
a leading seven to nothing. I want to make sure
we catch this ball now. You've been working on this
all week and got to be aware to of maybe
a fake too. All things with this team. Sawyer gets
the snap and he shanked this one here to the
near side, and it's gonna hit at the fifty and

(28:31):
take a bit of an enterprise roll get out of
bounds at around the forty three yard line. So that
will be good field position for the Bulldogs first and ten.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
That looked like a coach McCracken shank out on the
golf course. Man when do very good on that one.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
So it will be Opal like his football from their
own forty three yard line, first and ten, and boy,
the Bulldogs hopefully they can pick up where they left
off in that run game.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
Boy, that was what a great stop. No whole third
down conversion and no first down.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
All right, Colby Key out of the shotgun, first and ten,
play Bulldogs for their own forty three. Here's Jamari on
a speed suitek trying to get far side. Jamari trying
to turn the corner and he's wrapped up nicely on
that one by Reed Burns, and he did a nice
job of stringing out that speed. Sweet.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
We lost about three on that one.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Lost, so they set it down in thirteen. Just got
to give them credit. That's good, good play by them,
and Jamari will trot out actually come out on this play.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Tried to run that one back to the field.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Check it out. In thirteen, Key out of the shotgun,
Washington goes in motion. They'll take it to Tommy Johnson
and in trouble, jopsond off. We got it to Drew
Gagliano and drowse across midfield down to the forty nine.
Key was pressured, had to get rid of it in
a hurry. June Cravetto on the stop for the Wildcats.
That's gonna set up a third and very manageabent out
in the Wildcat forty nine yard line.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
About a nine yard game. I think that's about right.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Yeah, right.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Here's your throwing down.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
Third down down to the Wildcap forty nine. Third down
and two here for Opalaika I formation, Hard camp By
Key Hey, Tommy Johnson is the tailback in the I formation,
Big Blake Johnson is the fullback. They'll give it to
Johnson left side. Johnson's got the first down. He's down
to the Enterprise forty two yard line for a seven

(30:28):
yard run. Elaborate transferred storage first down. Zion Grady in
on the stump for the Wildcats, boy coach. If they
can't stop the run, it could be a long day
for the Wildcats.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Juike Johnson, my man, that's a great blocking up front
too now and gonna get it without them guards and centers.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
And Calvin Hugly back in at tail back to the
right here of Colby Key. First and ten at the
Enterprise forty two. Hugly gets the run. He's got a
lane across the thirty. Hugly cuts up the twenty five
Hugly down inside the fifteen yard line and finally brought
down by to Morris Green, but a huge gainer. They'll
mark him down to the fifteen yard line. Twenty seven
yard run there by Calvin Hugley and another Lambert transfer

(31:10):
in storage, first down five twenty left seven. Nothing opal
like a leading and they're knocking on the door again
in the red zone here at the fifteen of enterprise.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
That five first downs, four big plays, seven points and
a bunch of yards running the ball keeping up dogs
four teeth play at the drive.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Five four now on the clock here in the first quarter.
Calvin Huglely remains the loan back here out of the
shotgun here for Colby Key, who has trips receivers to
the right. They'll give it here to Hugely Huglely inside
the five Hugly dragged down by Winners at the two
yard line. He falls a head down to the one.
It's gonna be first and gold Bulldogs. Another Lambert transfer
in storage, first down. Boy, I tell you what as

(31:53):
that was a fourteen yard pickup. They are grinding out
the yards, buddy. So the Bulldogs again knocking on the
door here leading seven to nothing, four forty left in
this first quarter, high formation again, Hughughley, that's the eye.
But they'll again give it to Blake Johnson. He's untouched
left side touchdown Bulldogs. Four thirty one left in the

(32:16):
first corner and the Dogs up thirteen nothing on the
wildcats of enterprise. Blake Johnson with two touchdowns tonight.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Well, I tell you what, this is the way to
play football right here. Then they're doing everything everything we've
asked of them.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
And here's Rehyes Beasley for the point after.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
We just got to keep keep the hammer down on them.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Yes, sir, Rody Jones will hold good, stamp down and
the kick is up and good.

Speaker 7 (32:43):
Ok.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
Like a fourteen Enterprise nothing. Four thirty one left here
in the first quarter. You're listening to Bulldog football here
on the kicker he's coming back here inside Bulldog Stadium.
Four thirty one remaining here in the first quarter in Opelanka,
leading fourteen to nothing. Both possessions for the Bulldogs they've

(33:07):
cashed in scores and Enterprises only possession offensively a three
and out, so a great start and Opolaka has done
it on the ground. I think one pass right coach
by the Bulldogs. Is that right?

Speaker 3 (33:18):
That's it?

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Short kick, It's gonna bounce at the thirty four and
just got out of bounds. All most was picked up
by the Bulldogs and Wildcats will take it at the
thirty six yard line.

Speaker 7 (33:32):
All right.

Speaker 3 (33:33):
We got TJ.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
Thomas, Lightfoot, Autree and Smiley up front, Hudson and more
of the backers, Devin Dixon and Court.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
Ingram the corners.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Carson Moss is your strong safety. Tyres Pitts and Kivan
King your safeties.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
And so far they've had three plays for nine yards
and i oh for one third down possession.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
All right, Wildcats back out last time three and out.
Mason burke Hart's the quarterback. They'll have it from their
own thirty six yard line, first in ten and burke
Hart will get the snaff. He's a straight drop back
pass on this one, floats it and it's incomplete. He
way overshot his intended wide receiver, Davis Shiver and heyt
be second down in ten.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
He got a little heat on him, got a little
heat on him.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Well, he had some time. I think he almost rushed
that throat just a little bit.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
Yeah, Smiley, Smiley got in there. Just about the time
that he's gonna release it tight. You know I would
throw it quick too if he ever came near me.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Go Wildcats again, no gain on the incomplete from their
on thirty six. It'll be second down in ten, four
to twenty five. Here the first quarter, three man rush,
Oh Black leading fourteen nothing. Shiver goes in motion, Burt
Hart the quarterback out of the gun and a option played.
Burt Hart has it, wanted to throw, but he sat
and the balls on the ground and Opelika's got it.

(34:54):
Smiley gets it. Smiley got it at the thirty one
yard line, Tomorry Smiley. Burke Hart lost the football as
he went down to the ground and the whitehead comes in.
Bulldog football Maury Smiley with the pressure and the fubble
recovery only a huge play and the Bulldogs have it

(35:16):
at the thirty one of enterprise.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
I love this man. This is great.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Well, you couldn't have dialed up a better start here
for the Bulldogs. First quarter four o nine and Opelaka
chance to add another score here leading fourteen to nothing
as Kobe King the offense comes back out.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
Just keep the pressure on, Dogs, keep it on.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Wild Katch defense having to come right back out on
the field too. And again it's the I formation here,
Key will go under center Johnson and Hughgley play action.
Kobe wanting to take a shot, steps up in the pocket.
Nothing there, and he's going to be sacked two yard
loss on the play back to the thirty three yard line,
and that pocket closed down rather quickly. With Kobe stepped

(35:57):
up in the pocket, he tried.

Speaker 4 (35:59):
To throw down the middle of the field and they
were covered and he did a good job.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
By not throwing the ball all right at the thirty
three yard line. Dogs trying to take a shot there,
but out of the shotgun now, Kobe will work with
Calvin Hugly to his right. Bulldog's leading fourteen nothing trying
to add to it. First a second down play. Rather,
here is Calvin Hugly trying to run left side, slips
the tackle. Calvin inside the twenty five stiff arms defenders

(36:24):
as he's out of hounds inside the twenty they're gonna
mark him down. It looks like around the eighteen yard line.
Dez Thomas on the stop and that was a fifteen
yard pickup and a Lambert transfer in storage. First down
for the Opalika Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
Keep it up, boys, that's a power sweep boat to
the left. Great blocking by Thomas and Efferson.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
Hugly again stays in the ball game to the left
of Kobe Key out of the shot gun, wide out
either side, and it hands it off to Calvin Calvin
pushing the fenders down as he's across the fifteen. Mark
it down at the fifteen for a three yard pickup.
Great job Jaus Pravetto on the stop for the Wildcats.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
God, I love this kind of football. This is beautiful.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Second down seven for the Bulldogs, Opelika leading fourteen nothing,
three oh six. First quarter clock is running hugly again,
the running back to the left of Colby Keith Key
again to wide out either side, but again it goes
to Calvin Calvin inside run down to the ten yard

(37:30):
line and that will be a five yard pickup and
that's gonna set up about a third and one, third
and two. Well, you know this is two down absolutely.
Eric Mason checks of the ball game. There's an injured
player for the Wildcats again down on the field, so
we'll step aside as well. Third down and two coming

(37:51):
up for the Bulldogs. Fourteen nothing, ople like a leading
Enterprise back after this time out here on the kicker
Des Thomas, the injured wildcat on that defensive line, and
good to see he's coming off on his own power,
so he'll be okay. It looks like third down and

(38:11):
two coming up for the Bulldogs out of the time
out open like a leading fourteen nothing over Enterprise, and
it is a third and two at the ten yard line.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
Eric Mason in the game at right tackle.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
Jordan Waits is the running back for the Bulldogs again.
Blake Johnson is the big fullback and Key goes under center,
and he's gonna a quick hand off to Johnson and
Johnson down close to the six yard line. It will
be a first down. Another Lambert transfer and storage first down.

Speaker 8 (38:42):
Tackle bay by nonumber forty four and two.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Novedo see that marked him down?

Speaker 7 (38:46):
I believe.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
At the eight yard line.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
Hey, this is Blake Johnson.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Blake Johnson who waits first and goal of the eight
of Enterprise I formation. Here's a toss play to Jordan Waits,
and Waits cut inside quickly and not much there. He
gets down close to the seven. Andrew Purcell, a really
good cornerback, comes in there and makes the stop.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Yeah, per Sale's going to the University of Kentucky, and
he also plays offense as a wide receiver.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
We have to watch him as the game goes along.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
His family won't have to change colors too much, will they.
They got Kentucky. They got that Kentucky look already at
the house.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
I didn't think about that.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
Yeah, Second and goal again from the seven yard line.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
Play number twenty two for Oplaka.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
And Calvin Hugley back in the ball game, and Ke'll
go out of the shotgun formation here on this play.
Second and goal from the seven. Key gets the snap,
hands the ball to Calvin, and Calvin wrapped up in
the backfield. A good stop there by the Wildcats. That
was Tomorris Green who got him in the backfield and
set up a third and long coming up here for
the Bulldogs and at loss all the way back to

(39:53):
the fourteen yard line.

Speaker 4 (39:54):
That was supposed to be that sweep back to the
right side, and somebody penetrated right through the middle of
the line there, and it's a good play by enterprise.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
I wan to see if Kobe goes to the air. Here.
Two receivers out wide left, Jamari Miller and Quz Johnson
and the tailback is Calvin Hugley. So third and goal
now from the fourteen after that loss on the play
with forty five seconds left here in the first quarter.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
Only second third down conversion, they've had all right.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Third and law, third and goal for the fourteen and
play action. Kobe keyth surveying the field. Nobody open now
he throws to the end zone and it is overshot
Jamari Miller in the corner of the end zone incomplete
and believe we'll see Reese Beasley come out for a
field goal attempt. So that's a big stop there for
the Wildcats. As Opalakua looked like they were destined the
head in for another touchdown, but to try to settle

(40:43):
for a three point shot.

Speaker 3 (40:44):
Do you kind of think he was gonna run that
ball van for a minute there?

Speaker 2 (40:48):
Yeah, I was probably wise just to throw it away.
I mean, he wasn't gonna get in the end zone,
and you certainly don't want to risk Kobe taking a
big shot against this defense.

Speaker 4 (40:56):
This big, big field goal here now, is this a
momentum it's over there on the right hash now, So
I want to make sure he gets a good kick here.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
Thirty one yard attempt here from Reese Beasley from the
right hash here with thirty seconds left in the first quarter,
holds down and the kick is up and the kick
is good, so the Dogs get three out of it.
They lead seventeen nothing over the Wildcats of Enterprise with
twenty four seconds left here in the first quarter. And

(41:25):
that score and drive power by open like a power
services hometown people working for you online at openlikapower dot com.
Back after this time out, you're listening to Bulldog football
here on the kicker back here Bulldog Stadium. Dogs add
three and they lead it seventeen nothing over the Enterprise

(41:48):
Wildcats twenty four seconds left here in our first quarter.
And again Reese Beasley lining up to kick it short.
It looks like they have tried to keep it out
of the hands of winners. And also Andrew pers on
the back end of that kicking team, very smart. And
here's a short kick to the far side of the field,
and again a fair catch called for it the thirty
five yard line, and that was number seventeen again Braiden Cook.

(42:13):
So the Wildcats will have it from their own thirty
five yard line and offortunately they just have not had
much and a big turnover on a fumble that led
to the three points on their last trip out. Coach,
here we go.

Speaker 3 (42:26):
They hadn't had but five snaps in the whole quarter.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
As we play here in the final seconds of the
first quarter, twenty four seconds left, Bulldogs leading seventeen to nothing,
and the quarterback Mason Burkhart will have trips to the
right side here on first down, but he'll give it
to the tailback Dylan Smith, and he's brought down in
the backfield Amary Smiley again in the backfield to disrupt
that run. And that was a two yard loss.

Speaker 3 (42:50):
Oh, that's just awesome.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Play back to the thirty three yard line, and I
think Wildcats will let the time run down here and
we will head to the quarter with the Bulldogs leading
seventeen nothing. A heck of a start here for the Bulldogs.
Let's see if opal ik it can hang on down
the stretch. But a good start for sure. You're listening
to Bulldog football.

Speaker 3 (43:11):
Here on the kicker.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
All right, getting ready to start the second quarter of
Matt McCracken with a four seasons Federal Credit Union Sideline
report mag What you got, You.

Speaker 3 (43:20):
Know, he's just like corns.

Speaker 9 (43:21):
Moore said, I want to see of early fast starting guys.
We've gotten so far offensively been clicking, defensively being clicking.

Speaker 3 (43:28):
Let's just keep it going, like you said, Van.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
All right, Mason burke Hart the quarterback out of the
shotgun second and twelve here to start the second quarter.
From there on thirty three, trying to get winners on
the speed. Sweet quarterback went straight up the middle and
again who Maury smiling in there on the stop and
burke Hart the quarterback comes up hobbled there, and we'll
see if he stays in the game with burke Hart

(43:52):
will try it out. Backup quarterback Lynch Sauger will check
in the ball game. So Burkharten had to come out Kip.

Speaker 4 (44:02):
That's that mid line option, and uh Mario had to
stay at home and he had the quarterback and he
played it absolutely perfectly.

Speaker 2 (44:11):
Good just be Prescott a third and eleven. They picked
up one yard on that play. So now you got
the back of the quarterback in Lynz Sawyer, who will
come in with four whiteouts, three to the right, single
receiver the left side. And I think they took too long.
That's gonna be a delay of game. You know, really
the quarterback who was hibbled probably should have just went
down to the ground and gave his team time to

(44:32):
substitute there. But it's gonna cost him five yards. This
will be third and sixteen.

Speaker 4 (44:37):
They got iny of those other boys out there right now?

Speaker 3 (44:40):
Do they number four number fours.

Speaker 7 (44:43):
In the game.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
Yes, yeah. One of their really good players winners is
also the inside receiver to the right side.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
Okay, is that five?

Speaker 2 (44:53):
Yes, sir?

Speaker 3 (44:54):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
They're gonna throw to one of them third and sixteen
here and here is Sawyer and they'll just do it.
A little delayed handoff and a nice tackle back of
the thirty yard line. That was Carson Moss coming up
and making the stop. Fourth down, and they'll have to
punt it away. And right now the Bulldog's not full
Dylan Smith on the delayed handoff and he goes down

(45:15):
and it's fourth down, ten fifty two left here in
the first half. Bulldog's leading seventeen nothing here at Bulldog Stadium,
and Jamari Miller is gonna have a chance for a
good return. He's gonna be somewhere around his thirty five
yard line to all wait this punt here from Lynz
Sawyer who just came in at quarterback.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
That's a great defense. They look like they're going after
this one.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
Sawyer, who normally does the punting, is the backup quarterback,
and the way Dogs nearly blocked it. And Jamari's gonna
let this one roll. It's gonna hit at the forty
and take a little of an enterprise roll down around
the thirty five yard line, and the Bulldogs will start
first and ten from their own thirty five, leading by
seventeen here at Bulldog Stadium, seventeen nothing back. Another good

(45:58):
defensive stuff as we check in with another four seasons
Federal Credit Union sideline report.

Speaker 9 (46:02):
Yeah, absolutely, and hey dad, I mean all the coaches
were on that one when you had uh when you
had four and the other one out there on white.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
At white out. Yeah, so you know, you know on boats.

Speaker 9 (46:11):
Yeah, I'm gonna watch out for the playmakers though. But hey,
great job defensively of you know you got Yeah, just
keep moving the ball offensively, and we're just they're doing
they're playing really really good football right now.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
All right, it'll be first in ten for the Bulldogs
from there on thirty five yard line. And here is
Kobe Key out of the shotgun and Key hands the
ball off to Jordan Wakes left side. Wakes with a
good run across the forty Wakes up to the forty
two yard line, and that's gonna be a seven yard
run for Jordan Waits. But there is a flag on

(46:41):
the play right near the pile, and I think Jordan's
saying they grabbed his face mask and we'll see. And
then Brody Jones is over talking to one official personal
found face mask against Enterprise, So that's gonna be a
big fifteen yard penalty, will be enough for a first down.
Tomorris Green was on the stop for the Wildcats. But

(47:03):
big penalty there. We'll move this one across midfield and
with ten ten left here in the first half, a
big mistake there for the Wildcats. Down to the forty
four yard line of Enterprise. First and ten. Two white
outs to the right side here for Opalaika, and again

(47:26):
Key out of the shotgun. Tailback remains Jordan Waits, Mick
Blake Johnson the full back up on the line of
scrimmage here on this first and ten play, old bad
snap got on it and the Bulldogs get on it.
I believe Jordan Waits got it. I think that one
just really never got off the ground. The boy Jackson
Lee has been outstanding on snaps, and I'm not sure
what happened there.

Speaker 3 (47:46):
That's the first one that's happened. That's the three yard loss.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
Okay, all right, So second out and twelve is the
ball spotted back at the forty seven, So second down
and twelve nine thirty one left in the first half again,
Dogs leading seventeen nothing over enterprise and with the football
at the wildcat forty seven hand off here near side
to Jordan Waits. Waits has a scene Waits across the

(48:11):
thirty five and Wakes is going to be down around
the thirty. Well, I'll mark him at the thirty five
yard line and that will be about a half a
yard shy of the first down. Eric Winters chases him
down and it will be third and really close third
and inches here for the first down. That was a
thirteen yard pickup and a good run there by Jordan Waits.

(48:33):
Good to see Jordan with a good knight so far boy.

Speaker 3 (48:35):
He put a first to speed on.

Speaker 2 (48:37):
And a fresh Calvin Hughgley comes in in an I
formation here with Johnson the fullback here on the third
and short. Kobe Key checks the sidelines and now goes
back under center at the thirty five Enterprise third and one,
Kei hands the ball off to Calvin. Calvin's got the
first down. Spend movie at the thirties across the twenty
five and there's a flag down back at the line
of scrimmage. Boy goodness, that's a tough hole. And the

(49:01):
Wildcats came up with the football. They say there was
say chopped. It was a personal foul against Enterprise.

Speaker 10 (49:11):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (49:12):
So not a hold against Opelaanka. Oh, I saw it
on the replay here on the jumbo tron.

Speaker 7 (49:17):
That was huge.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
That was a personal foul, a hit below the waist
against the Wildcats. So that would get that fumble that
Wildcats thought they came up with on the back end
of that play. That was a hole that would have stood.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Big break for Hope right there.

Speaker 2 (49:33):
And we had the benefit of the replay here and
you could see believe running that ball he was and
I believe Blake Johnson was the one that got hit low.

Speaker 3 (49:41):
Mat tell tell you to let the hold onto that ball.
No fumbles, man. We have run twenty seven plays.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
And so below the waist hit on enter and that
will be enough for the first down. So another fifteen
yard penalty and the ball will be down at the
twenty yard line. After they step this off, coach first
and ten at the twenty five, I should say, a
bulldog horse down seventeen othern bulldogs with the lead and

(50:18):
at the twenty five Enterprise now in another I formation here,
Calvin Hugley is your tailback. Blake Johnson the full back
here at the twenty five yard line, and it will
be a reverse play. Here comes Jamari and strung out
nicely by the Wildcats, but Jamori still gets the sidelines
and Maria Jamari's out of bounds inside the twenty. That
was a really good play by Zion Grady number six
to turn that one in. Another flag thrown around the

(50:41):
ten yard line, so we'll have to wait and see
what this is. That was well down field on the ten.
This could be another personal foul. I don't know. Jamari
was around the twenty yard line where they mark him
down and we'll see what the flag is. It's a

(51:04):
personal foul against Enterprise. That's the second one. Somebody hit
Jackson Lee I believe late. All right, they're getting a
little frustrated about Jackson. Lee is the center for opalk
and I believe he took a shot there late.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
Nice run right there. How long was that game? Van?

Speaker 5 (51:27):
Is?

Speaker 2 (51:27):
That should be depending on where they say seven? About
six yards?

Speaker 3 (51:33):
I think, yeah, yeah, okay, I got seven.

Speaker 2 (51:35):
Okay, So they're marking the penalty there, boy, Mac, I
think right now, enterprise getting a little frustrated. A couple
of personal foul penalties.

Speaker 9 (51:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean that's what it is. That's
just frustration here. But look, hey, we got to put
it in the end zone. No, no field goal, no
field goal.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
We need it. We need six here, all.

Speaker 2 (51:55):
Right, Thanks so much, Matt McCracken with the four seasons
Federal Credit Union Sideline Report.

Speaker 3 (52:01):
And to feel sorry for anybody, Let's play.

Speaker 2 (52:04):
Eight eight left down to the ten yard line. This
will be a first in goal situation here for the Bulldogs,
and Calvin Hugly is the running back, Blake Johnson the fullback.
Key out of the shotgun. It will be a hand
off to Calvin Calvin inside the ten, Calvin inside the five,
Calvin dragging the pile down and gets in the zone.

Speaker 3 (52:22):
Touchdown Bulldogs.

Speaker 2 (52:24):
Calvin Hughgley from ten yards out, he wouldn't be denied touchdown.
Bulldog seven forty eight left in the first half, twenty
three nothing over the Wildcats. Reese Beasley chops out for
the point after attempt. A first half that has been

(52:46):
dominated by Opelaika making a huge statement here tonight in
Bulldog Stadium.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
This is awesome.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
Rody Jones will hold in Reese Beasley with the extra
point attempt coming here for the Bulldogs. Snap good hold
down in the kick cut in good. Dogs lead it
twenty four to nothing over the Wildcats. Seven forty eight
lefts We're still in the first half of play. You're
listening to Bulldog football here, I'm the kicker, probably welcome

(53:24):
you back to a happy Bulldog Stadium for the Opelika
side twenty four to nothing. Ople I has dominated the
start to this one as they lead the Enterprise Wildcats,
and now the Bulldog's setting to kick it back off
three touchdowns in a field goal for Opulaanka and the
Enterprise for offense or the offense for Enterprise. I should
say coaches has had a tough night. Opelika's defense has

(53:45):
had a lot to do with that.

Speaker 4 (53:46):
Yeah, I don't believe Number four or five has not
touched the ball tonight, which is that's great. We're gonna
continue to get Look here, they're gonna swape them around.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
And here is a deep kick now and booted, and
Andrew Purcell will get his hands on it at the
ten yard line, brought across the twenty and trying to
work out side, stiff arm and brought down at the
twenty five yard line. A pack of dogs gets him down,
I believe. First in there was court Ingram, he was
so Andrew Purcell, the star player for the Wildcats, held

(54:18):
in check. There was some good special teams.

Speaker 3 (54:20):
Yeah, that's our boy going to Kentucky. All right, two year.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
I tell you, I remember last year coach and Eric
Winners played quarterback the entire game and he just had
he had a great day. And I tell you that
he's a he's a great football player. And hopefully I
was really keyed in on some of these big time
stars that Enterprise has and they haven't really touched the
football here tonight. Burke Hard is back in the game.
I'm guessing they take that ankle up and.

Speaker 4 (54:45):
The Thomas Lightfoot, all Tree and Smiley up front doing
a great job.

Speaker 3 (54:49):
The Hudson and more at the backers.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
Wildcats will have it from their own twenty four yard line.
Burt Hart with a pistol, look tail back directly behind
him and he gets the handoff. This is Smith left
side and Smith is dragged down. I think he made
it to the twenty five yard line and picked up
a yard, but Imori Smiley was there and it will
be second down to nine. Malik Autry rather on the stop.

Speaker 3 (55:12):
He gave one yard, took it down Night that don't
have any of their studs in there. At the wide receivers.

Speaker 2 (55:20):
Here we go from the twenty five yard line, wild
Cat's second down in nine. We got seven oh eight
in a running clock. Here left in the second quarter
from Bulldog Stadium, rope like e leads twenty four to
nothing over Enterprise were rushing four van four wide receivers
to either side. Burt Cart the quarterback out of the shotgun.
He gets it, looks left, now looks back, wants to
throw back and he just undershot the intended wide receiver.

(55:43):
Peter Edwards and Tremaine Thomas was putting pressure.

Speaker 3 (55:45):
Oh many just absolutely drill.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
That quarterback he was. Tyler Moore also went on the
pressure there for the bull lags. Beautiful Jason Lee, are
spotder tonight doing a good job. Appreciate him up here
in the booth. And of course Mason or I should
say Mack McCracken back with us tonight roaming the sideline
by Ma's back after episodes with a pit bull. But

(56:12):
everything's good now, coach all over the place on that story.
Third down and nine here for the Wildcats when they're
on twenty five yard line, three wide receivers of the
right singer receiver near side, Burkhart drops back pressure and
throws teep passed down field and in and out of
the hands, almost intercepted by the Bulldogs. Boy, Keevy and

(56:32):
King had it and dropped it at the forty eight
yard line. We'll have to joke with Keevan and tell
him that's why he plays defense.

Speaker 3 (56:41):
And man, I did make a mistake. That was the copperhead.

Speaker 2 (56:43):
That's right, I know, Okay, yeah, that was a snake.

Speaker 3 (56:45):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
The folks listed statewide on WTMTV have no idea what
we're talking about. But little inside Opelaika Joe.

Speaker 3 (56:53):
You would if you ever ran into our copper head.
That's right, God, here we go. You got a punch.

Speaker 2 (57:00):
Brother on twenty five yard line. Wildcats will punt it
Lynch Sawyer's back around the eleven yard line. Jamari Miller
stands at his on forty one to await this punt.
Dogs go in a return here and Jamari's gonna let
this one hit and takes a good Opalika role and
it almost hit an Enterprise player there, Enterprise saying it
hit a Opalka player. But Opalika football, now I know

(57:26):
Opelikah was kind of in dangerous territory there.

Speaker 4 (57:29):
Well, one of our players getting scolded. You can't you
gotta fight at all eleven gotta.

Speaker 2 (57:35):
Find the ball, so Opalaika will have it at the
Enterprise forty seven yard line at the Wildcat forty seven and.

Speaker 4 (57:44):
We got six minutes twenty six. This is this is
the crucial part right here. We'd stick one more in
there before the half at the forty seven of Enterprise.
Opal like a leading twenty four nothing six twenty six
left here in this first half of play. Key out
of the shotgun and Tommy Johnson is the running back.

(58:04):
Johnson will get the hand off hit at the line
of scrimmage and he'll pick two yards up down to
the forty five yard line, so that will bring up
second and eight.

Speaker 2 (58:13):
Tavian Cason on the stop play game one yard second down,
die say one yard, so they mark him at the
forty six second down and nine clock running with six
so four left here in the first half. Hope like
has done a good job of rolling in these running backs.
Tommy's yet to really get a series, so he stays
in there to the left of Key. Two whiteouts either

(58:35):
side here. Key out of the shotgun, Key drops back throws,
It's caught. Johnson's got it at the thirty one yard line,
falls down to the thirty yard line. That's enough for
a laborate transfer and storage first down, a sixteen yard
throwing catch as he hooks up with Quez Johnson, his
seventh grab of the season.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
He's four to six now very good.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
Johnson will line up to a white out wide to
the left and Jalen Washington to the right. Johnson again
the loan back. Key hands the ball off to Johnson.
Johnson hit bounced it outside and tripped up there right
at the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 3 (59:13):
That's true Number twenty seven.

Speaker 8 (59:14):
Tommy Johnson the ball carrier.

Speaker 2 (59:16):
Tackle o bay Ta Morris Green number seven on the
stop there for the Wildcats, so no game on the place.
Second and ten, opela Like again leading twenty four to nothing.
With the football at the Enterprise thirty yard line.

Speaker 4 (59:29):
We got Eric Mason at right tackle, Carmel Torbert, Robert Woods,
Keelan Jones, and Jeremy Dillard.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
Calvin Hubrey two's in there. Calvin Hugley checks back in
the ball game to the right of Colby Key. Calvin
gets the hand off, Calvin cuts it back inside and
Calvin going to be close to the twenty six yard line.
That's where they'll mark him down for a four yard pickup.
DEAs Thomas who was banged up earlier back in the
game and then on the stop for the Wildcats of Enterprise,

(59:58):
and this will set up a third and game four yards,
third down six, third and six coming up here for Opelaika.
It could be four down territory if you get close
here too, Coach, I think thirty four snaps. We've had
light out either side. Calvin Hugly remains a tail back
to the left of Key, wild Cats showing pressure and

(01:00:18):
Key checks the sidelines, changing his play up. Plenty of
time on the plate. Clock down to seven, down to six,
got to hurry up now down four, down to three.

Speaker 7 (01:00:26):
One.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
He gets it down to one, just gets the snap off.
They'll go back to Hugley and Huglely just tripped up
at the line of scrimmage and he only picks up
two yards down to the twenty four. But we'll see
if the offense will stay out here.

Speaker 3 (01:00:38):
I think they will.

Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
It'll be fourth in field goal, fourth and four game,
two yards down four. No, I think he's just me.
He's been bringing in the field goal team. This will
be a forty yarder at the twenty four. Forty one yarder,

(01:01:03):
so forty one yard field goal attempt right in the
middle of the field here for Reese Beasley.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
Oh, they're gonna fake it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
Reese gets it up and a timeout was taken. The
kick by Reese was actually wide to the left of
the Bulldogs taking time out, so a time out on
the field. Fourth down. We'll see the Dogs elected kick
the field goal again. Here, we'll see time out on
the field. We're back after this thirty second break here
on the kicker. Back out of the time out, field

(01:01:41):
goal team back out on the field, and we'll see
again about a forty one yard field goal attempt coming
here from Reese Beasley. We're coming to you from ords
Pede Clinic broadcast booth. These telabamas go to Center for
Orthopedic Care, Van Drick's coach, Spence mccrack and Mac mccrack
and our sideliner of order and Jason Lee are spotter tonight.
So Reese Beasley right in the middle of the field
here for this field goal attempt snapped down and this

(01:02:03):
kick is right down the pipe and a forty one
yard are good for Reese Beasley and he stretches. The
Bulldog lead twenty seven nothing over the Enterprise Wildcats and
score and drive power by our friends at Opelika Power Services,
hometown people working for you. Another three on the board
for the Bulldogs. They lead at twenty seven nothing. We're
back after this time out here on the kicker score

(01:02:33):
up date up the road in Phoenix City, Carver leading
the Central Red Devils seven to nothing. Here it's twenty
seven nothing. Opal like a leading the Enterprise Wildcats. And
well look Tommy trumpet going as we get ready to
kick this one off with three point fifteen left here
in the second quarter, short kick again by Reese Beasley
and a fair catch again called for by the main

(01:02:55):
man tonight, Braden Cook by the Wildcats. He it's federal
credit in sideline reports all night long, Mack McCracken. Heck
of us start there for the dogs. Continuing here. This
has been a great first half.

Speaker 9 (01:03:07):
Yeah, and in great way right there to get that
long field gold right through the uprights. And hey, Dad,
I think Calvin heard you about his fumble because on
that last touchdown with him doing all the PlayStation moves,
you couldn't. You got about fifty people trying to strip
that ball away from him, and he wouldn't lett him.

Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
Go, Mac, I think you'll talk to a happy coach
Moore coming up here in about three minutes.

Speaker 9 (01:03:26):
Yeah, hey, let's still pitch the zero now, that's right, buddy,
that's right, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
Burt Cart out of the shotgun formation Enterprise has it
first in ten from there on thirty four yard line,
and Burt Cart gets the snap and hands the ball
of Eric Winners. Now the big star player. He gets
slips of tackle Winners. This is what he can do.
And he's cut down at the forty five yard line,
but there is a flag on the play.

Speaker 3 (01:03:49):
That's a hold in the penalty, and.

Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
We'll see if this is coming back.

Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
I think it is.

Speaker 2 (01:03:56):
Winners can show you how danger as he is when
he gets the football. But somebody held down field that
flag around the forty two yard line, So this one
looks like it will be coming back. It's a hold
against Enterprise three oh six remaining.

Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
Ten yards.

Speaker 4 (01:04:19):
Now, we didn't notice him in the backfield right then,
but number five was in the backfield. I saw him
back there right at the right at the end. So
just alert five and four both in the game right now,
you better run down to the coaches booth. Coach, yeah,
I bet somebody's got an eye on him.

Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
Coach.

Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
I got five five's out here now first and thirteen
here after the penalty.

Speaker 3 (01:04:44):
Five and four both out here.

Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
Dylan Smith is the tailback, and you got two receivers
to the left side, single receiver to the right. Burke
Hart now will change things around and it will bring
Winners in the backfield to the left. Now they'll bring
a man in motion faked to the motion man and
Winners gets it inside. Winners across the thirty five and
he's brought down at the forty up to the forty
one yard line, close to nine yards there on the

(01:05:06):
pickup for Eric winners to twenty one in the clock
running Leland Bell on the stop for the Bulldogs. They
trying to go a little misdirection, trying to work in
some of their.

Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
They're trying to get. They are trying to score before
the half. Can't let them.

Speaker 2 (01:05:24):
Yeah, they're kind of taking their time here two five
and the clock running here.

Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
Four's up top outside, five's over here.

Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
All right, man in motion. Give it to winners on
a speed suite running far side of the field, and
winners across the forty five and winners pushed out of
ounds at the thirty nine yard line. Tyrese Pitts chases
him down. They'll mark him at the thirty nine And
that was a twenty yard pickup.

Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
The only good thing about that is he's going to Auburn.
That's the only good thing I can say.

Speaker 2 (01:05:53):
Well, one thing. He's certainly close with Malik Autry. Those
two have been on a numerous recruiting trips together at
Auburn University, and those who know each other very well, we.

Speaker 3 (01:06:01):
Just don't we don't want to let them score here. Now,
Van come on.

Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
It's a lot of familiarity with those two. For sure.

Speaker 4 (01:06:08):
Were still running the three man front, thinking that they're
gonna throw. They've been running the ball, trips, receivers to
the left, single receiver to the right. First and ten
at the forty yard line, and Burt Hart will throw
on this one. Now he's gonna tuck it in a run,
steps up in the pocket, and the quarterback scrambles for
a first down. They'll mark him down at the twenty
eight yard line. So good scramble there by Mason Burkhart,

(01:06:31):
and he scrambles for twelve yards. As the pocket collapsed
on him, he stepped up and scrambled for the first down.
First and ten, Enterprise at the twenty eight their best
drive of the night here with the Bulldogs leading twenty
seven to nothing with one thirty two left here in
this first half. Enterprise will also get the football to
start the second half, so a score here will be
really big for the Wildcats.

Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
Got the three man front, but we've got three. We
got six in the.

Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
Box, two white outs to the left side, Dylan Smith
at the tailback. They'll give it to Smith and a
whistle stops the play and a timeout taken by coach
Brian Moore in the defense here with one fourteen left,
we'll step aside for a quick time out. Twenty seven
to nothing, Bulldogs with the lead. The Wildcats, though, moving
the football first and ten at the twenty eight of
opal like and when we come back here on the

(01:07:17):
kicker back here Bulldogs Stadium, minute fourteen remaining a timeout
taken by the open lik of Bulldogs and enterprise first
and ten at the OPAL like a twenty eight yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
Three plays. They've run it for nine to twelve and fourteen.

Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
Yeah, they've certainly got something going.

Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
We gotta beatfuck the inside. They're just running right at us.

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
Eric Winners got involved in the running game and has
done well. Burkhart out of the shotgun tail back to
the right, trips receivers left, singer receiver right. Burt Hart
wants to throw drops back. Pressure comes sack Malik alt
He brings him down back at the thirty nine yard line.
Maury and Malik Autree on the stop. Boy, Malik was

(01:08:11):
back there all over that one. It's going to be
second in a mile of a time out taken that
was about a twelve yard was a big one. Yeah,
go down on the field for a four seasons Federal
Credit Union sign line report. Mister mc McCracken, there was
ninety six.

Speaker 3 (01:08:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:08:25):
Yeah, I showed up on that one, you know, just
just that time out before coach MASSI had him just
go and said, we're not giving this up. We're not
giving up any points. And the boys just riding the
right of the fired up, same situation right here. I'm
out here with them then not giving up any points.
So we got to hey, this is big now, one
O five left, keep them out of the end zone.

Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
I was talking to Slate Clayton before the game. He's
one of my favorite seniors. I love Slade. I also
talked to Jamari and both of them I said, guys,
are you ready? They said, oh, we're ready, And you
could tell I mean talking to Slate, he goes, we
are ready.

Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
Yeah, you know what I talked.

Speaker 4 (01:08:57):
I'm talked to the cornerbacks last Thursday, this Thursday and
day will pumped up, man.

Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
Pumped up.

Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
This is a program that certainly has not gotten the
attention that I think a lot of people, even the
players included, feel like they should have gotten so far
here in this week, still not even a top ten
sniff by the sports writers. You know right this week
no not ranked, that's all right. First time the Bulldogs

(01:09:27):
have received votes was this week too for the top ten,
but still outside the top ten. Second to nineteen winners.
This is brother Burkhart scrambles and finds winners, and it
is bibble and caught at the twenty four yard line
and an opal like a player down on the field

(01:09:47):
and took a shot, and we will step aside. And
I'm not sure exactly which player was from the secondary,
but took a shot in the air there and it
did not look good. And with fifty seven seconds lift,
he is being treated by the medical team here at
opelike and always scary when a hip like that occurs here.
And we will step aside. We're back after this time out.

(01:10:10):
You're listening to Bulldog football. Well, we certainly wanted to
come back and share good news with you when we
saw number five pop up, Carson Mass. He took a shot,
his helmet is off, he's walking off the field and
thank the good Lord above because it was it did

(01:10:32):
not look good and he took a shot and looked
like he was almost out instantly. But Carson comes off
the field and okay, winners with the big reception that
as we get back to football and we're inside the
twenty five down to the twenty four yard line is
where the Wildcats will have it, and it'll be a
third down.

Speaker 3 (01:10:50):
I got number five in there in the running back.

Speaker 2 (01:10:52):
Now this will be a third and five for the
Wildcats at the twenty four yard line of Opelaika. Dogs
lead at twenty seven to nothing. Wildcats trying to or
play action, Burt Hart trying to get winners on a throwback.
He wasn't open though. Burke Hart scrambles and he's gonna
be brought No, he slips the tackle, stays on his
feet inside the twenty. Burke Hart scrambling and he's across
the ten. He got the first dawn boy, Dogs just

(01:11:13):
missed him in the backfield. I think it was Alan
Jackson that almost got him. Tyrese pittso will bring him
down thirty one seconds left though, and down to the
nine yard line. As he scrambled for that one for
fifteen yards. Boy, he was dead to right, so I
thought in the backfield and Burt Cart did a good
job staying up on his feet, and it'll be first
in goal for the Wildcats at the nine of Opelaiko

(01:11:34):
with thirty one seconds left. Quarterback Mason burke Hart is
in a new guy for the Wildcats, transferred in from Wicksburg,
I do believe, so this is his first year with
the Enterprise Wildcats. A junior six to two one ninety five,
good size for a quarterback, and he's really been a
big addition for them this season because they were kind

(01:11:55):
of quarterback quarterback lists last year and had to go
with eric winners, you know, for the most part. That
allowed them to put it winners of course back on
defense and on some specialty plays on ifence and been
a good recipe for him. So far this season. They're
two losses against Auburn fifty three to twenty two back
on the thirteenth of September, and then they had a
tight one at Central Phoenix City. They led that one

(01:12:16):
for a most of the game, coach, but they ended
up falling late thirty four to twenty one, and then
picked up that win after an open week against carb
They're gonna run this as long as we keep running
that three man front, Enterprise just with one time out
though just thirty one seconds left Burt Hart out of
the shotgun, he drops back, pressure comes in his face,

(01:12:38):
defender's throw to the end zone and it's caught for
a touchdown. He found number eleven, number eleven, and that
was Kate's blackman for the touchdown, and the wild Cats
are on the board with twenty four seconds left. Boy
Burt Carton did a good job keeping his eyes down
field because he had pressure coming in on him, and

(01:12:59):
he found the tight end Kate's blackman six one two
twenty junior And here's the extra point from Jose Roacha
and it is up in it is good Wildcats on
the board twenty seven twenty. But Opelaik is still up
by twenty here with twenty four seconds left. But any
for anyway, Enterprise will get the football to start the

(01:13:19):
second half. So a big score for the Wildcats here
in this one. We'll step aside quick thirty second time out.
You're listening to bulldog football here on the kicker. Enterprise
gets on the board here late in this first half,
their first score of the first half, and it makes

(01:13:41):
it a twenty point game right now. But like a
leading twenty seven to seven, twenty four seconds remaining, and
here is Jose Roacha to kick it off. It's a
squib kicks late. Clayton has it at the thirty eight
yard line. Hey, with twenty three seconds left. Pretty good
field position here for the Bulldogs. We'll see if coach
Moore wants to try to go aggressive here. Coch which mcracking?
What do you do with twenty three seconds? Let Bulldogs

(01:14:02):
just with one time out, you may have a time
to take a shot maybe and get a field goal attempt.

Speaker 7 (01:14:08):
Here.

Speaker 4 (01:14:08):
We'll see maybe one play to see if they can
get it and maybe down to the other forty.

Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
They got enough time where they got one time out left.

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
Yeah, one time out. Now, line up with trips receivers
out to the left side. The tailback is Calvin Hugley. Here,
dogs will have it from their own thirty nine yard line.
Key out of the shotgun. Key wants to set a
screen up to Jamorrow. He's got across the forty got
a block and Jamari out of hounds at around the

(01:14:39):
forty six yard line. I think they're going to get
a hold out on the far side of the field
and that may be the only play. Not a bad
option there, but we'll see. As the white hat comes
over and confirms a hold against OPA.

Speaker 8 (01:15:01):
Open Lake got penalized ten yards.

Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
Holding late first half. Carver's still leading Central Phoenix City
seven and nothing up the road here twenty seven to seven,
OPAKA leading enterprise After that holding penalty backs things back
to the thirty seven yard line first down twelve, So
first down and twelve, just sixteen seconds now remaining. Hugally

(01:15:28):
stays in the tailback. Well, you never know, you can
hit one big play here. We'll see if the Dogs
what they de signed to. Run here on first and twelve,
Bulldogs with their own thirty seven yard line and Calvin
gets the snap, Calvin runs here near sign. Calvin gotta
be brought down around the forty eight yard line. That

(01:15:49):
time runs out in the first half, and that will
be it for our first half of play. Good start
here in this one for the Bulldogs at least for
the first half of play. Twenty seven is our halftime score,
and we'll let Mac McCracken catch up with coach Brian
Moore and Mac take it away when you're ready.

Speaker 3 (01:16:07):
Thanks a lot, Coach Moore.

Speaker 9 (01:16:08):
You talked about Hey, guys, I want to see a
fast start in the first Yeah, they did.

Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
I mean, we didn't have a fast finish though.

Speaker 6 (01:16:14):
You know that's disappointing because it's now they get the
ball back after half, and we also had to settle
for two field goals. You know, this game could be
out of hand right now and we hadn't pushed it
out the way we want. It should be thirty five
to nothing really in my opinion, but we got to
go back to work. This team has not had this
happen to where we're way up at halftime in a
big ball game.

Speaker 7 (01:16:31):
We got to learn to finish it.

Speaker 3 (01:16:32):
They'll creep their way right back in this thing.

Speaker 9 (01:16:33):
Coach, how do you make your adjustments worth a halftime
as far as you know they're going to get the
football here?

Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
And what do you say to your boys?

Speaker 7 (01:16:39):
Well, we just got to stay locked in.

Speaker 6 (01:16:40):
We relaxed that last drive right there, and they drove
and scored in a two minute scenario. That was not
good enough. It should be again thirty five to nothing
right now. We just got to keep our foot on
the gas man. That's about buy in, and that's about
staying locked in and being mentally engaged all night.

Speaker 3 (01:16:53):
I'll go talk to you dolls.

Speaker 2 (01:16:54):
Thanks Matt, all right, thanks so much. Mack McCracken. What
coach Brian Moore is, He trots into the locker room
and again the Bulldog's leading the Wildcats twenty seven to seven.
We come back. Jason Lee's gonna have a look at
some scores from around the area and a little bit
later on we'll hear from the Spirit of the South
Marching band. Here we're at the half at Bulldog Stadium,
twenty seven to seven, Opelika leading enterprise. This is Opelika Football.

(01:17:15):
I'm the kicker. Hey guys, welcome back here inside Bulldog Stadium,
where like a couple of minutes away from getting our
second half underway, twenty seven to seven. Again, we'll to
thank the team at WTMTV events early and the entire

(01:17:35):
team and there they broadcast their high school football media
days in the summer. They do an outstanding job in
the coverage of the AHSAA playoffs and of course the games.

Speaker 7 (01:17:44):
Of the week.

Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
And this is a pretty neat feature they're doing where
they're picking up the NFHS broadcast around the state on
Friday nights, and we're happy to be statewide on wt
TV tonight and those watching us also on the NFHS
network and right now, it's been a good first half
ro Polaika. But Jason Lee continues to join us here
in the booth, and Jason, I know one thing. Right now,
Oplaika is up by twenty. Like coach for said, they

(01:18:07):
feel like this game should be stretched out, maybe to
a thirty five nothing lead. Enterprise goes into the locker
room getting a huge score because they get the football
to start the second half, and if they come down
and score, this is a one possession game and this
whole game has changed.

Speaker 3 (01:18:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:18:21):
Absolutely, I mean, we would expect nothing less of coach
Brian Moore. We knew what he was going to say,
but you love to hear that going into the locker
room that they're not going in happy with a big lead,
knowing that it could get real real dicey here quick,
If excuse me, if Enterprise puts another seven on the board,
so they're preaching in the locker room right now, Defense
we need to stop, and then offense puts some more
points on the board here early take them out of

(01:18:42):
the game so we don't have to worry about it
in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:18:45):
All right, Thanks Jason, Let's head down for a four
season Federal Credit Union Sideline report. Mac What was the
message from coaching there in the locker room.

Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
Yeah, he just told him. He said, listen, guys, I
need you to stay focus. I need you to finish
this ball game. I need you to keep scoring offensively
defensive when he had three and out, when he had.

Speaker 9 (01:19:01):
To stop here, but he was just saying, we just
got to separate ourselves and answer the call.

Speaker 3 (01:19:06):
He said, we got complace at the last three minutes
of that half. And then when they scored the touchdown,
he said, but.

Speaker 9 (01:19:11):
We got to separate ourselves and we got the finished
ball games.

Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
We got to take this out. We're down seven. So
he just really curaged if they were fired up, everybody had.

Speaker 9 (01:19:20):
Their coaches meetings, and let's see if we can make
something happen here this second.

Speaker 2 (01:19:24):
Half and ended, Yeah, thanks so much, Mats. Good way
of putting it. Hey, you're down seven. They scored last,
so go into this second half like you're trailing and
kind of keep that mindset. Start the second half. Twenty
seven to seven. Enterprise. They deferred to start the game.
They will get the football to start our second half.
Reast Beasley trots out for the Opelika Bulldogs. Getting said
to kick this one away and be important for this

(01:19:48):
defensive opal lik and continue what they did for the
most of the first half and really dominate. That last
drive for Enterprise was really the drive of the game
for the Wildcats, and he gave him some momentum going
into the locker room.

Speaker 4 (01:19:58):
Yep, I got a shout out to Jim Arrington who
used to coach with me and he lives down in Enterprise.

Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
And just want to tell him how much I love him.

Speaker 2 (01:20:11):
All Right, short kick, it will be fielded at the
twenty nine yard line and a good tackle there by
number two cord Ingram who wrapped up boy.

Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
That should be a penalty right there. They didn't call it.

Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
That's a wrapped up Andrew Purcell and not much on
the return at all. They'll mark him down at around the.

Speaker 3 (01:20:30):
Twenty six.

Speaker 2 (01:20:31):
I think the thirty one is where they'll start first
and ten well to thank Gory's Furniture a halftime sponsored.
Gory's Furniture locally owned and operated by Jim and Pam Gorey.
If you need furniture, Gory's Furniture Express your furniture headquarters
off Highway one sixty nine in opalaika place you can
get lost in trying to find you a sofa, a
love seat, recliner or whatever. Kitchen table, dining room table.

(01:20:52):
They got it this first.

Speaker 3 (01:20:53):
Five minutes now and number five is back in there.

Speaker 2 (01:20:57):
Oh, he's going to be in there.

Speaker 3 (01:20:57):
I think most of the sun he's in the slide
over here.

Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
All right, enterprise, we'll have it first and ten for
their own thirty one yard line. Burke Hart out of
the shotgun. Now, winners will move in the backfield to
his right. Guy coach mentioned that we'll have to keep
an eye on here. It'll be a toss plate on
winners and winners tripped up in the backfield. Nice tackle there.
Ty Hudson comes up there and stops him right at
the line of scrimmage, and Ty, I know, Cookie, we'll

(01:21:21):
be happy about that tackle. Grandma listing in a North
Alabama coach. Second down nine.

Speaker 4 (01:21:28):
I met Ty's daddy today tonight before the game, him
and his wife and that daughter.

Speaker 3 (01:21:33):
Really nice people.

Speaker 2 (01:21:35):
Second down in nine for the Wildcats from their own
thirty two yard line. Eleven twenty. We're just underweight here
in the third quarter. Twenty seven to seven is our score.
Trying to set up a screen. They'll dump it out
of the backfield. A smith Smith nice move at the twenty,
at the thirty five rather and gets up to the

(01:21:57):
thirty six. He'll pick up five yards and that will
set up a third down and five.

Speaker 3 (01:22:03):
Big play right here, van huge play.

Speaker 8 (01:22:08):
Play game four yard thirk down five.

Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
Big play.

Speaker 4 (01:22:13):
I'm gonna hunt up number five and he's out there
at the wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
Third down five a ten forty five remaining a big
third down here for the Wildcats. Right they're on thirty
six yard line. Burkhart empties the backfield, drops back throws
across the middle. It is caught, and a first down
up to midfield. Good to that one hauled in by
Eric Winters Ty Hudson on the stop. First down down
to the forty nine yard line. That's gonna be a

(01:22:39):
fifteen yard throw in catch.

Speaker 3 (01:22:44):
That's big play.

Speaker 2 (01:22:47):
So the Wildcats will move the chains first and ten
down to the Bulldog forty nine yard line.

Speaker 4 (01:22:54):
A secondary's got to do a better job. We had
a decent pass rush then rushing four again.

Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
Twenty seven seven. We're just underway, opal like a leading
here in the second half. Here's a toss play out
to Smith. Smith breaks a tackle, stays on his feet,
and I spin move and he's close to a first
down down to the forty yard line. That will be
a nine yard pickup. Carson Moss comes up on the stop.
Good to see Carson back in the ball game. Had
that scary shot in the first half. Wild Cats on

(01:23:22):
the move those second down in inches at the forty
of Opelaika trying to make this a twenty seven to
fourteen game play action by Burt Cahard. He rus rolls
near side and got pressure. Now we'll just throw it
away and it's incomplete. Closest person there was Peter Edwards.

(01:23:44):
This is third and one, twenty point lead right now
for Opelikah. But Enterprise facing a third and one, nine
thirty five remaining here in the third quarter at the
forty yard line. I'll need the thirty nine for the
first down.

Speaker 4 (01:24:02):
Now, this two down territory. They do go for this
if they don't make it, but we've got to play
better defense than this.

Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
Now, two white outs left, single receiver to the right
side here for the Wildcats. Burke Hard out of the shotgun.
Blackman goes in motion now to the left. When they
move that's gonna be a big motion penalty against Enterprise.
It'll make it a third and six coming up here.

Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
That's huge right there, third down in six.

Speaker 2 (01:24:29):
That was big. So right now twenty seven to seven,
Opalaika with the lead. As this is the opening drive
of the second half. Here in the third quarter, nine
thirty five remaining, Carson Moss checks in, Norman Matthews will
check out. Matthews getting a lot of playing time here
these last few weeks. Had a big interception last week.

Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
Got to pressure this quarterback.

Speaker 2 (01:24:48):
Now penalty backs it to the forty five yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:24:54):
Five's in the game in the slot.

Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
Third and six for the Wildcats, empty backfield. Now Burt
Hard drops backs, got some time throws across the middle
and incomplete. He wanted to get to winners at the
thirty yard line, but he overshot him. It will be
fourth down and six and the wild Cats will bring
the punt team out. Yeah, I'm glad that was a
big stop by the defense. Lynch Sawyer trots back.

Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
Out and watch the fake here. Now it's fourth and
six and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:25:24):
Yeah, I would be insafe, and I think the Bulldogs
are in safety all the way they are. They Sawyer
also is the backup quarterback who is the punter, and
I know the coaching staff well aware of that. And
he gets the snap, he will punt it. Good punt,
Hi fair catch called for Jamori gets it and fair
catch taken at the seventeen yard line. So that's where

(01:25:44):
the Bulldogs will take over.

Speaker 3 (01:25:45):
That's a good stop by our defense.

Speaker 2 (01:25:47):
That's okay, Iwine twenty two left in a good stop
there by the Bulldog defense. Given this offense a shot
here and boy, a score here by Opelika will be
big to stretch this lead. Opelika leading right now twenty
seven to seven of the Wildcats with nine twenty two
to play here in the third quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:26:03):
You've got to have a good, good series right here
now twelve.

Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
So from the seventeen is where Opolaika will start first
and ten key out of the shotgun working the quarterback. Hey,
the tailback I believe is Jordan Waits. Blake Johnson moves
over to the ride. Here's an option, Blake, he will
toss it over here nearside. No, this is hugely hugly

(01:26:31):
cross the twenty five and hugely cut down at the
twenty eight yard line, and he's gonna have enough for
a first down. That'll be elaborate transfer in storage first
down eleven yards on the play. Good run by Calvin Hughley.

Speaker 3 (01:26:45):
That's a big play in a first down. Good job.

Speaker 4 (01:26:48):
Got a nice execution by Colby then too, excellent option.

Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
Jordan Waits checks in the ball game nine oh three
o'clock running here in the third quarter twenty seven seven
Opolaka with the lead over in enterprise key out of
the shotgun and it is Waits to the right and
Waits will get the handoff trying to run left side.
Got a block, turns it up field and Wait's still
on his feet at the thirty five and pushing that

(01:27:14):
pile up. They're gonna mark him up close to the
thirty eight yard line the shot. I think that the
thirty seven is where they'll mark him down. And that's
a nine yard pickup and a good run there by
Jordan Waits, Darius Whitlow with a big block.

Speaker 4 (01:27:27):
Outside tray Mond Thomas Eperson, Lee, Darius Whitlow and David
Miller did a great job up front.

Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
Then that is enough for a Lambert transfer in storage
first down that will move the chains and the Bulldogs
from there on a thirty eight yard line. After that
good run, Jordan Waits, he stays in the ball game
as the tailback. First and ten from his own thirty eight.
Key gets the stamp hand off again to Waits. Waits

(01:27:55):
got another good block, but there's a flag on that one.
Forty five Wait across the midfield and took a shot
out of Auns at the thirty eight yard line of
this one looks to be coming back in the range
of holding against the Bulldogs. We'll see go Lee and
it is a hold against the Bulldogs and that will
negate the run. So that'll be a ten yard penalty

(01:28:16):
from the spot of the fowl or from the line
of scrimmage.

Speaker 3 (01:28:22):
That negated a nice run by Waights.

Speaker 2 (01:28:26):
Then yeah, Weights had a really good run on that one.
But that'll back it up to the twenty eight.

Speaker 4 (01:28:30):
I believe we can't hold, and I know it's hard
in high school football now with the change in the
rules van you know, because you can put your hands
out there, but you can't extend your hands.

Speaker 2 (01:28:48):
So back to the twenty eight yard line. Tommy Johnson
checks in the ball game. Now for the Bulldogs. It'll
be first and twenty Now for Opalaika from their on
twenty eight yard line.

Speaker 4 (01:28:58):
The good thing gets first down, so we got we
got three downs to make twenty yard.

Speaker 2 (01:29:03):
Seven fifty six. The clock starts back running here in
the third quarter and Tommy Johnson, who we've seen carry
the football a few times tonight back in the ball game,
to the left of kolbe Key, two white outs to
the right. Key wants to throw rolls here near side
and looks like everybody pretty much covered up, but he'll
throw it back short of Quez Johnson. But there is

(01:29:24):
a flag downfield and this may be a hold against
Andrew Percell. Yes, sir, who was depending Jamari Miller.

Speaker 3 (01:29:32):
Almost positive that's what it is.

Speaker 2 (01:29:34):
And that would be a up sideline warning against Opalaiko.
Oh goodness, so I thought it was ended.

Speaker 3 (01:29:42):
Is that just a warning?

Speaker 2 (01:29:43):
Yeah, just a warning. It was in the range of downfield,
but nothing doing. So second down and twenty coming up
for the Bulldogs again from their on twenty eight yard line.

Speaker 4 (01:29:56):
That's good, good, smart played by Kobe, and you know
we're not going to force anything, so.

Speaker 2 (01:30:01):
Good coverage there by Percee no hold on that one.
They had everybody covered up pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:30:05):
You get a holding penalty like that a minute ago.
Just can't have that.

Speaker 2 (01:30:10):
Yeah, tough drive, killer dogs will go under center now
as Key will work under center, fakes the sweep. Now,
they'll give it back to Johnson here, Johnson near side,
and Johnson runs up close to the thirty five yard line.

Speaker 8 (01:30:25):
I think came.

Speaker 2 (01:30:26):
He'll have the thirty five there and that will be
a pick up a close to seven yards and that'll
set up a third and thirteen here for Opalaika. So
a more manageable third down. Yeah, well that should have
been a pimpty too on them. Anyway, that's okay. Two

(01:30:48):
wides either side. Looks like Key will go an empty
backfield here with Blake Johnson blocking here on a third
and long. Johnson will move from right to left. Looks
like where the press she'll be coming from. Looks like
the heat will be coming from. Enterprise will drop off
a bit. Key steps up in the pocket. Key wants
to take off and try to scramble, and he's gonna
turn it up field and slides out of bounds at

(01:31:11):
around the forty two yard line, well short of the
first down. Just nothing open down field. Good job there
by the secondary Enterprise and Bulldog's gonna have to send
out the punting team from their own forty two yard line,
so picked up seven yards on the scramble. But it's
a fourth and six and punting time for Opalaika. Z
Ion Henderson checks in the ball game. His first punt

(01:31:33):
of the game.

Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
Who's that punt returner? Sit? That's not six is it?

Speaker 7 (01:31:40):
You can't.

Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
Number sixteen back deep for the Enterprise Wildcats and he
calls for the fair catch, takes it a thirty one
yard line and that was David Shiverer. So the Wildcats
will take over. So nothing doing for the Bulldogs. Were
the first punt of the game for the Dogs.

Speaker 4 (01:32:02):
Okay, now we need to get a three and out
boys from their own line.

Speaker 3 (01:32:09):
So this right here is a crucial This is a
crucial part of this game right here.

Speaker 2 (01:32:15):
Yeah, penalty really hurt the Bulldogs on that tread like
I like to kill it. That was that was a
tough hold.

Speaker 3 (01:32:20):
Yeah, Golee.

Speaker 2 (01:32:22):
First and ten for the Wildcats for they're on thirty
one yard line, six thirty two remaining in the third
quarter for like a leading Enterprise twenty seven to seven
Wildcats with the football Burt Cart out of the shotgun
and tail back will be Dylan Smith to his right,
trips receivers outright. Burt Hart drops back, got all day

(01:32:43):
deep shot down field and it is tipped and knocked away.
And a good job cord Ingram defending that one was
well overshot of Peter Edwards intended wide receiver. Good arm
by Burt Cart though, boy, let.

Speaker 3 (01:32:55):
That one is good these left handed quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (01:33:03):
Six twenty five o clock stopped. After that incomplete pass,
it'll be second down and ten for the Wildcats with
they're on thirty one yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:33:13):
Coach holand Coach Prescott's folks need to get a sack.

Speaker 2 (01:33:17):
Here, Burke Hard out of the shotgun. They'll toss play
it out to Smith and Smith wrapped up.

Speaker 3 (01:33:22):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
I didn't get anything on that one. Good stop thereby
Mary Smiley.

Speaker 3 (01:33:29):
Big play right here now fan third and third.

Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
In long YEP, third and nine picked up one yard
up to the thirty two and one of three on
third down conversions in the first half, like a running
now six minutes to go here in the third.

Speaker 3 (01:33:43):
Quarter, where's our Auburn boy? He's not in there?

Speaker 2 (01:33:46):
Is he winners checks at the ball game? Yes?

Speaker 3 (01:33:49):
Where let's see where is he over here?

Speaker 2 (01:33:51):
Heah lines up to a wide receiver, gonna be the
inside receiver to the left. Three wide to the left side.

Speaker 3 (01:33:56):
They got a pressure room.

Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
Naan Smith remains in the tail back to the left.
Burke Card out of the shotgun. Burke Hart gonna roll left,
wants to throw it back, gets it to black Ben
caught and swarmed up. No gain on the play. May
have picked up a half a yard. It's fourth down
and punting time for the Wildcat In about Kate and
Harrison checking the ball game there on the stop for
the Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (01:34:16):
Well, that's great pursuit by our front.

Speaker 4 (01:34:18):
Going back the other way, they chase that dead dumb
guy running the ball PJ Thomas, Lightfoot, Autree Smiley, Josh Davis, Money, Thompson, Thomas,
and Brandon Dinson and Braden Stintson.

Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
All eight of them to rest. Thomas also in there
on the stop for the Bulldogs. Number forty trotting off
the field. Jamari back deep as Lynch Sawyer steps inside
his twenty to catch this snap, gets it and boots
it high hanging fair catch called for by Jamari, and
he goes down to the ground to catch that one
right at the forty yard line, so the Bulldogs will

(01:34:51):
have it first and ten diod field position from their
own forty yard line, four point fifty five left in
the third and a twenty seven to seven score. Opahaika
with the lead and four seasons Federal Credit Union sideline
report time. Mac McCracken standing by Mac.

Speaker 9 (01:35:05):
Hey, your great job right there defensively from getting them
you know, three and outs and not letting them even
getting field goal range or anything like that. Hey, offensively, guys,
you know coach Fleman was talking about to do his
offensive line and coach J. J. Atkins, we got to
get points right here. We had a good home, methodical
drive down the field and put it in the end
zone where this would be big.

Speaker 3 (01:35:22):
That holding penalty killed us last ride.

Speaker 2 (01:35:25):
Mac all right, First and ten Dogs and they're on
forty yard line. Key out of the shotgun and Key
will hand it off to Waits. Waits is going to
be dragged down in the backfields. Ion Grady, the Ohio
State commit, brings him down back of the thirty four
yard line and a big loss of six on the
play there. Grady, we had blocked that backside ian coming

(01:35:46):
across yep. Grady made his presence known there. He is
a one you circle going into the game for sure.
Second and sixteen after that big play from Zion Grady
go two whiteouts to the left side here, Key out
of the shotgun, Key gets the snamp hand off is
to wait, said nothing Dow and Waight's got two up

(01:36:07):
to the thirty six so to be third in long
coming up here for the Bulldogs and four to ten remaining.
Tell you the secondary is really buckled down. Andrew Purcell
was on the stop there and thirteen. Kobe's not had
any time really to sit back and get anything deep
down field.

Speaker 3 (01:36:28):
No end completed.

Speaker 2 (01:36:29):
We o for one in this half, an empty backfield
here on third and thirteen, He's got two receivers left
and two receivers to the right side. Here from the
near side of the field, Colby gets the snap, drops back,
throws and it is caught. It's gonna be well short
of the first down as he got a quick throw
to Jamari Miller, but caught shy of the forty five

(01:36:50):
down to the forty four yard line for a ten
yard got a pickup, got a punt, but it will
be fourth and six, three twenty four left and the
punting team will try it in for Opelaka, coach Brian
Moore takes his time, wants to let some clock wine
down here, Hopefulaika trying to hurry the punt team out

(01:37:15):
and they get the snap. Henderson puts a moving cut
into this one. A fair catch called for at around
the twenty six yard line by number sixteen David Shiver.

Speaker 4 (01:37:27):
Brian's going crazy down there. What is that about, Matt Well,
I'm not sure.

Speaker 9 (01:37:32):
That's twelve on the field. There's two people on the
field trying to run off.

Speaker 2 (01:37:37):
Oh that's what they tried to get. Yep, try to
get the quick snap. Didn't get it though, fourth first
down and ten for the Wildcats when they're on twenty
eight yard line.

Speaker 8 (01:37:47):
Line.

Speaker 2 (01:37:48):
So we'll see the defense. That's two punch tonight for
Zion Henderson. Dogs did not have to punt it all
in the first half.

Speaker 4 (01:37:55):
They got nine plays and we got eight plays in
the second half to.

Speaker 2 (01:38:00):
White outs either side here for Burkhard a toss play
to Smith and Smith runs left side, got a good
block down. Whoa, there's a late hit and there's a flag.
Oh that was way after the play downfield number sixty
five for the Wildcats way downfield, just given the business
to Tyree's pitts, and that's going to be a fifteen

(01:38:22):
yarder on the Wildcats.

Speaker 4 (01:38:24):
We want to remember that after Tef Tyres, thanks for
taking one for the ten.

Speaker 2 (01:38:28):
Tyree certainly did he he got a hit and then
after the whistle got up and took another shot. That's
a big penalty right there, and ty resee is that's
how we started talking about Tyreeth. Something good's gonna happen
too when tser does yep, unsportsman late hit on the
Wildcats twenty seven seven op Liken leading two fifty one

(01:38:51):
left here in the third quarter, and it was till
the first down. You need to keep them pinned down
down here. Now, Van won't let him out. Don't give
him any big plays. Back to the seventeen. After that
penalty and a whistle from the side judge on the
Opaleika side, see if this is a spotting issue with

(01:39:15):
the football, we'll see which Brian Moore quickly.

Speaker 3 (01:39:19):
Yeah, Brian's down there. I don't know did he counted
all fifteen?

Speaker 4 (01:39:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:39:25):
I think he was wanting a fifteen yard ind a
All right, now they get it, said the line of
scrimmage is seventeen and it will be second down. I
think they had it mark first down, so second out
of twenty six here for enterprise. Burke hard out of
the shotgun gets the snap. They'll give it a winners, winners.
Trying to run your near side slips a tackle. Tie Hudson, Hello,

(01:39:47):
mister hit back of the sixteen yard line. Boy, the
Hudson family will love that.

Speaker 3 (01:39:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:39:55):
Might have felt that one back in North Alabama. Come on,
that's beautiful, big time hit there by forty four and
he came in well a headhunter coach. If they still
gave out the old head Hunter award, I think our
boy Ty Hudson may get a third and twenty one
here for the Wildcats.

Speaker 3 (01:40:16):
Wool the redhead got after it on that one, got lead.
That was beautiful. I've got to get a good pass rush.

Speaker 2 (01:40:25):
Now, Wildcats for their on eighteen yard line. Here on
third and long, Burt Cart drops back pressure to flag
down for holding. It's caught at the thirty six yard line.
He turns it upfield and gets across midfield down around
the forty five yard line. But there's two flags in
the backfield and a hold and it'll bring that one
back for the Wildcats.

Speaker 4 (01:40:43):
I've already written it down. That's a holding penalty of
what's the other one?

Speaker 2 (01:40:48):
I think they were just they were both the holds.
I think, yeah, that was I saw that he grabbed
our left. If you wrote it down, coach, that is
like that is like itching into stone. I like that
if Coach McCrae and writes it in that And I
wish everybody on TV could see Coach McCracken's notepad here, because.

Speaker 4 (01:41:05):
That was t diu as your boy TJ Thomas. He
came in there and they grabbed a hold of.

Speaker 2 (01:41:10):
Him, Coach mccrackens and not writing his notes on an iPad.
I'll tell you that he's got the sheet of paper
lines drawn and that was beautiful.

Speaker 4 (01:41:20):
I didn't like him now giving him who's this hurt
down here? Is this is one of our guys.

Speaker 2 (01:41:26):
It's an enterprise player. I didn't see him. Damn up
that big play though. Man, we getting about forty yards rushing. Yeah,
there's an injury time out on the field, so we'll
step aside one thirty eight left here in the third quarter. Well,
I'll check down the good to see the injured player,
Peter Edwards was for the Enterprise player that was injured,
and he pops up and runs all the way off

(01:41:47):
the field, so we will keep it here. That is
the train rolling through the tracks beyond the stadium, right
behind the well. Hear it rumbling through here as we
about ten minutes away from nine o'clock nine yard line. Yeah,
after the penalty, it'll be back to the nine yard

(01:42:09):
line here, and this will be a third and twenty
nine coming up here for the Wildcats. Twenty seven seven
Opelaka with the lead and a third and a mile
coming up here for the Wildcats. See if the Dogs
can force another Enterprise punt here, burke Cart out of
the shotgun and burke Hart will roll to the right

(01:42:29):
now tries to throw it back and upper shot is
intended wide receiver Andrew Purcell. And there's a flag down
and that man may be a roughing the passer penalty
against Opalaika. So that's going to be a fifteen yard penalty.
It will not be an automatic first down, but it
will give the Enterprise fifteen free yards.

Speaker 3 (01:42:50):
Good gracious, So.

Speaker 2 (01:42:53):
A tough penalty twenty one left here in this third quarter,
and that's a big fifteen yard penalty. Show it'll be
third and fifteen now for enterprise. That'll move the football
all the way up to the.

Speaker 3 (01:43:14):
That's a first down. Van Did they give him a
first down on that?

Speaker 2 (01:43:19):
H I didn't think. I didn't think that was I
didn't think a rough of the passer was automatic first down.

Speaker 3 (01:43:22):
But I guess it is. God Lee it was from
It was third down and thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:43:31):
Golye first down and ten for the Wildcats. That bailed
him out on that call there, and here's Burkhart out
of the shotgun. Twenty seven seven Opelaka with the lead
and a fresh set of downs here for the Wildcats.
Inside hand off to winners and hit at the line
of scrimmage falls ahead for a couple of yards. He

(01:43:52):
gets up to the twenty seven yard line. Ty Hudson
on the hit there under the pile and seem a leak.
Autry also come up. His helmet came off. He's gonna
have to come out of the game, so a or
two yard three yard pickup. Looks like they gave him
three second down and seven.

Speaker 3 (01:44:13):
Monte Thomas came in there for Autree.

Speaker 2 (01:44:18):
Wildcats for they're on a twenty seven yard line here
on second down and seven trips receivers to the right
and a single receiver the left side, and Enterprise is
gonna take a time out here with forty seconds left
here in the third twenty seven to seven, Opelaika with
the lead, and we're back after this time out. You're
listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker back here

(01:44:40):
Bulldog Stadium. It will be a second down and seven
for the Wildcats coming up here with forty seconds left
here in the third quarter and a toss play far side.
Not much there, picked up a couple of yards, did
Dylan Smith before he was wrapped up by the Bulldog
setting up about a third and six with five seconds left,

(01:45:01):
Enterprise letting this time wind on down here, and we
may take this to the fourth quarter if the Wildcats
decide not to take another snap here. Wildcat's the ones
trailing by twenty here though with fourteen seconds and then
no hurry, so still down to nine, down to eighth.
The Wildcat's gonna take it to the fourth quarter here
at Bulldog Stadium again opal like like, leading twenty seven

(01:45:22):
to seven, and the Dogs twelve minutes away from a
huge region win here inside Bulldog stadium, but still a
quarter to go. We're back after this time out. You're
listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker fans here

(01:45:43):
a Bulldog stadium, a little swag surfing as we head
to the fourth opelike leading by twenty twenty seven to
seven over the Enterprise Wildcats, and there'll be a third
and four for the Wildcats as we start the fourth quarter.
A big down here for this Enterprise offense and an
equally big down for the defense.

Speaker 3 (01:46:00):
It is big down, big down for the d here.

Speaker 2 (01:46:05):
Wildcats. For they're on a twenty nine yard line here
on third down and four as we start the fourth quarter.
Twelve minutes on the clock, final twelve here in this
huge region game.

Speaker 3 (01:46:15):
I got winners in the slot out here.

Speaker 2 (01:46:17):
Yeah, the tailback is Dylan Smith. They'll empty the backfield
now as burke Hart drops back throws across the middle
end out of the hands intended for winners. Had him
across the middle, that just floated it too high and
it's incomplete fourth down and the Wildcats we'll have to
send out the punting team here as we start the
fourth quarter. That was a big stop here by this
defense had winners again. Hey, coach kept going across the

(01:46:41):
middle to Winters and he was open again. Yeah, I
just overshot him.

Speaker 3 (01:46:44):
He overshot him, He sure did.

Speaker 2 (01:46:46):
That's one of those good learn lessons learned on the
sidelines for the defense.

Speaker 3 (01:46:50):
But watch it fake here now may not.

Speaker 2 (01:46:52):
Get yelled at as much since it was incomplete. Saw
your back to punted away standing at the fifteen yard
line to catch this snap, gets it and boots it
high hanging punt, fair catch called for by Jamari Miller,
and he has it at the thirty three yard line,
and that I should say the thirty seven yard line.
And that's where Bulldogs will take over first in ten

(01:47:13):
and time to put a score on the board.

Speaker 3 (01:47:14):
Coach, he's got those. Uh, Jamar is catching those punts
a lot better than night. You know ed.

Speaker 2 (01:47:21):
That was that pregame talk I had when I wished
him good luck earlier I did. Did you talk to
Jamorri was our guest on the Brian Moore Show also
earlier this.

Speaker 3 (01:47:28):
Week We're good? Were you calmed him down there?

Speaker 2 (01:47:30):
Coach Rigs, Well, he got the nickname fat because he
was a fat baby, he said, So I heard that. Yeah,
I was wondering if it was a later in life
nick name.

Speaker 3 (01:47:39):
We need to get a good running game going here now.

Speaker 2 (01:47:41):
All right, there's hugely but he's tripped up in the
backfield on first down. A nice job. That was Eric
Winners and also Ohio State commit Zion Grady, both the
big stars back in the backfield, and that's a loss
of one. It'll be second down in eleven coming up
for the Bulldogs. Again.

Speaker 3 (01:47:56):
We've had nine snaps in this half.

Speaker 2 (01:47:59):
Nah, enterprise is really buckled down here in the second half.

Speaker 3 (01:48:04):
When got a we got two first downs.

Speaker 2 (01:48:08):
I back field here for opal Like a key from
his own thirty six yard line, hands it to Calvin.
Calvin right side across the forty mark him right at
the forty yard line. That'll be a pickup of is
there's somebody banged up on the bottom of the pile there.

(01:48:30):
It looks like for opal Like and one of the
offensive linemen there. And it's going to be a third
and eight coming up here for the Bulldogs. Clock stout
with eleven oh three left, Bulldogs leading twenty seven to
seven and an injury time out, we'll step aside. You're
listening to Bulldog football here on the kicker back here
inside Bulldog Stadium. Good to see it was Kyle Epperson

(01:48:52):
who was banged up there on the play, and he
comes off on his own power. But we will have
a substitution there on the out fensive line for the Bulldogs.
He're gonna be a third and eight coming up for
the Dogs. Ten forty six o'clock is running here in
the fourth quarter. Dogs leading by twenty twenty seven to seven.
Key goes empty backfield and Key will roll to the right.

(01:49:12):
Everybody covered up, dumps it and overshot. No call at
the forty and that's gonna be a first down. Jalen Washington.
I'm not sure he was trying to throw it to Jalen,
but Jalen caught it. I thought Drew Gamriano was the
intended wide receiver, but Jalen Washington comes down with the catch.

Speaker 3 (01:49:29):
What if goop play?

Speaker 2 (01:49:30):
That was big at the forty one yard line and
that's a Lambert transfer in storage first down, So a
big time throwing catch. That was seventeen yards and a
first down throwing catch. Now I formation here for Kolby
Key of the offense at the forty one of enterprise
ten o nine. The clock continues to run the handoff

(01:49:51):
goes to Calvin. Calvin breaking tackles Calvin inside the thirty
and Calvin down to the twenty four yard line. They'll
mark him actually at the twenty three yard line for
another big first down run eighteen yards and a Lambert
transfer in storage first down Trooper.

Speaker 7 (01:50:07):
Nine.

Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
We're fifty nine and the clock is stopped as they
move the chains here with nine fifty nine left, and
there's another player down I believe an Enterprise player shaking
up on the play down at the twenty four yard line.
But a first down for the Bulldogs and quick timeout
back here at Bulldog Stadium. Dogs lead at twenty seven

(01:50:28):
to seven. We're back right after this timeout on the
kicker Wildcat player helped off the field. First and ten
for the Bulldogs down at the twenty three yard line
of Enterprise leading twenty seven to seven of the Wildcats.

(01:50:50):
Nine thirty four left in our game. I formation Kobe
Keen lost the football and there's a scramble for it
on the pile, and I believe the Wildcats are going
to come up with it. They are all signal that's
their football, and a white hat comes in and signals
that boy just lost the snap as the Dogs may
have been trying to drive down to put this one away.
A new life for the Wildcats here with nine twenty

(01:51:11):
seven left. Boy, just hadn't had that happen all year,
and that is a huge, huge turnover to try to
put this game almost out of reach here. Now the
Wildcats have it that they're on twenty four.

Speaker 3 (01:51:26):
Boy, we could have burned up some time.

Speaker 2 (01:51:28):
We could have yeah, and went down to put another
score in. Haven't seen that miscommunity or that issue going
from shotgun downder center. Well, I'd have to get over
it here for on twenty four Wildcats back with the football.
Here's a Burkhart on an option play and he has hitting.

(01:51:48):
He goes down back at the twenty five. They'll give
him the twenty six yard line as he picked up
maybe two yards and Ty Hudson comes in there on
the hit for the.

Speaker 3 (01:51:57):
Bull Jobs, great job. Just keep running that clock.

Speaker 2 (01:52:00):
Yeah, second down and nine coming up here for the Wildcats.

Speaker 3 (01:52:06):
Two plays.

Speaker 2 (01:52:08):
Ten ten Carver and Central Phoenix City are tied up
just up the road. Actually thirteen to ten. Carver just
scored and they're going for an extra point, so trying
to make that one fourteen to ten. Here it's twenty
seven to seven, Ope Pelaka leading with eight forty four

(01:52:29):
in the game.

Speaker 3 (01:52:29):
Watch number five. He's going over the other side.

Speaker 2 (01:52:33):
That's a delay of game against Nope. They got to
tie him out just in time, I believe. So time
out taken by the Wildcats with eight thirty nine left,
twenty seven to seven, Ope Pelaika with the lead here
in the fourth quarter from Bulldog Stadium. We're back after
this time out. You're listening to Bulldog football here on
the kicker back here to Bulldog Stadium. A reverse play

(01:52:56):
and it goes around the far side for a pretty
big pickup to the forty five yard line, but there
was a flag down as one of the defenders was
snatched down from behind. And this will come back here
with eight twenty six left, so that's second down to nine.
Big first down run they got it up to around
the forty six yard line, but it will come back
as that hold was in the backfield, so this should

(01:53:18):
be marked off from the line of scrimmage, so it'll
be a second down to nineteen. Should be after they
stepped this off. So yeah, we're having some internet issues
here at Bulldog Stadium. So we do apologize if there

(01:53:39):
was any issues there in our broadcast coming back to
the station, But we are back as far as we know,
rolling second down to nineteen, and we don't need to
and we.

Speaker 4 (01:53:50):
Don't need to roughen the passer here like we got
last time we had them backed up.

Speaker 2 (01:53:56):
We got that three man front again, line of scrimmage
the fifteen. He ain't second down to nineteen, Burke hard
out of the shotgun. Burt Cart drops back, steps up
in the pocket, floats one that was tipped and dropped
down incomplete a thirty yard line, nobody in sight. Good
pressure there by the Bulldogs, and this will set up
a third and long for the Wildcats here clock stop
with that incomplete pass with eight oh eight remaining.

Speaker 4 (01:54:17):
They're only two of seven throwing this half van and
they're running game. They hadn't run the ball much they've
they've only had the ball thirteen snaps.

Speaker 2 (01:54:29):
So this will be third and nineteen coming up here
for the Wildcats again for their own fifteen yard line.
Bulldogs leading twenty seven to seven with eight oh eight
to play, Carver trying to shock Central. They lead thirteen
to ten. They got an on side kick and they're
back with the football and they're gonna have a first
and goal from around the five coming up. Here's Burkehrt

(01:54:52):
try to throw it back. He's pressured, steps up in
the pocket. He's in trouble and he's gonna be ma
leek Autry trying to bring him down. I should say,
Mary smile. He tried to bring him down, and then
the host of dogs came in and I got to
bring him down. Caden Harris was in there also, Money
Thomas about four yard good job or check that Carson's
moss four brought him down at the twenty yard line.

(01:55:15):
So it'll be around a fourth and fourteen and the
punting team comes in for the Wildcats. Lentz Sawyer, the
punter will try it out and he'll stand. It's like
inside is five right at the five yard line, and
Jamari Miller back around midfield to catch this punt for
the Bulldogs. Here was seven thirty to play.

Speaker 3 (01:55:31):
Good job our day.

Speaker 2 (01:55:32):
Then, so the turnover by Opelaikah doesn't come back to
haunt them. There's a high good boot by Sawyer. Oh,
Jamary Miller just got laid out. Goodness, gracious boy, and
he just waved with the Opelaka side. There should be
a couple of flags on that one. Peter Edwards laid

(01:55:54):
out Jamar Miller and he gets an earful from the
Enterprise staff as he comes off and as he should.

Speaker 8 (01:56:08):
Wait.

Speaker 2 (01:56:08):
We do apologize for those on the radio side that
may have missed that as we're having some internet issues
here in Bulldog Stadium tonight. Thirty to seven is our
score right now, as Reese Beasley put up and booted
a thirty what was ray a field goal out a

(01:56:28):
twenty one yarder and it is thirty to seven right now,
Opelaka with the lead over Enterprise with four thirty to play,
and Besley boots a short kick here to the near side,
hits the turf, picked up and scooped up and falling
on at the twenty eight yard line. And that was
number eighty Maley Chai Hart who comes up with a

(01:56:48):
stop or with the football rather for the Wildcats. It'll
be first and ten Cats for twenty nine remaining here
in the ball game.

Speaker 4 (01:57:02):
We're gonna put some We got some of our two's
in there now, especially up the front. Here comes Alan
Jackson into the game. Boy, Aden's a big kid, isn't he? Yeah,
he certainly good looking. Linebacker man.

Speaker 2 (01:57:19):
Two white outs left, two white outs to the right side,
and Mason burke Hart, the quarterback, drops back toss play
here near side to Smith and Smith brought down at
the forty five yard line. He'll pick up six close
to seven yards before Alan Jackson brings him down four
sixteen left and open. I could content to let them

(01:57:40):
run the football here, coach.

Speaker 4 (01:57:41):
Yeah, you're right, just don't give them quite so much.
Caden Harris is in there at linebacker two, number forty eight.

Speaker 2 (01:57:52):
Trips to the left side, three point fifty eight remaining
here in the ball game. Burke Hart hands the ball
off to Smith, that little delayed hand off Smith, nice
spin move, and he gets up. They're gonna mark him down.
It says that the forty eight yard lines, so he's
gonna be short of the first down by Josh Davis
on the stop for the Bulldogs third down wall. So

(01:58:16):
three point thirty seven o clock starts back running here
in the fourth quarter over the lack of leading thirty
to seven, and they're kind of content to let this
thing rind on down.

Speaker 7 (01:58:23):
Coach.

Speaker 3 (01:58:23):
They're not any hurt, No, they're not. That's okay.

Speaker 2 (01:58:31):
Seventeen thirteen Carver trailing central. Now, so third and short
here for the Wildcats of Enterprise where they're on forty
eight yard line and the quarterback keeper, he's gonna be
a hit and I think he got short of the
first down. That was Tremaine Thomas on the hit on

(01:58:53):
the quarterback Mason Burkhard and they're gonna market short. Fourth
and one coming up here for the Enterprise.

Speaker 3 (01:58:59):
Wildcare Yeah, they didn't get it.

Speaker 2 (01:59:03):
Looks like the offense is staying put as the Bulldogs
lead at thirty to seven, two forty three left here
in this ballgame and the hope alaika with the thirty
to seven win. Fourth and chopsticks here coach, yes, sir,

(01:59:25):
two wides to the left side. Here's Bernhard and they moved.
That's going to be a five yard penalty for the
Wildcats and they may send the punk team out.

Speaker 3 (01:59:34):
We'll see.

Speaker 4 (01:59:37):
Left eighty five yards in penalty is this half? Are
they gonna have to get that cleaned up?

Speaker 2 (01:59:53):
So two twenty two left in this ballgame. Dogs on
their way to a huge region win and a statement
win tonight year inside Bulldog Stadium over the Enterprise Wildcats,
which was ranked by the sports writers number five in
the state. He's gonna throw it to number five fourth

(02:00:14):
down and six Wildcats offense stays out for their on
forty three yard line. Burt Carton drops back throws across
the middle and as Cault Winners was hit, but he
still hung onto it.

Speaker 3 (02:00:24):
Well, he's an absolate man, he is.

Speaker 2 (02:00:27):
That was I think Brayden Howard may have been on
that stop. What's out about twenty five Xavier Thomas rather
on the stop or on that hit rather on Eric Winners,
but it was caught and he got all the way
to the forty three yard line, perfect for the first down.

(02:00:47):
So the Wildcats down to the forty three on a
good throw from Burt Hart to Winners. Now they'll bring
a man in motion and speed sweep goes to Peter Edwards.
He cuts it at the forty and he's gonna be
brought down at the thirty nine yard lines. If young
guys in on that defense, at least in the secondary
for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (02:01:01):
Yeah, we got we got some two's in there.

Speaker 2 (02:01:05):
Kden Harris number forty eight on the stop.

Speaker 4 (02:01:08):
At Brandon Howard, Jamo Griffin, h Ben shrink Leland bail.

Speaker 2 (02:01:16):
Down to the thirty nine. It will be second down
in seven for the Wildcats. Just one twelve left in Oplaika.
Content to let the Wildcats drop back. Burt Cart gotta
take a deep shot now on this one, and it
is not to Wade. Well intended there by the Bulldogs.
And that was another good play by Xavier Thomas, a
sophomore defensive back in there, and that one was intended.

Speaker 3 (02:01:41):
Good job for the tight end all that's a great
knockdown by him.

Speaker 2 (02:01:48):
Yeah, good job that was intended, believe for number eighty
Malachai Hart incomplete third and seven o'clock stopped with that
incomplete pass one oh one left here in the ball
game of the bullet stadium. Alan Jackson will come out.
We'll see Caden Harris checking the ballgame. Winners will still
come back out. He'll line up with trips to the right,

(02:02:09):
single receiver to the left side, and Burt Cart out
of the shotgun quarterback drops back. Pressure steps up in
the pocket and spun around and he's gonna go down.
They blow the whistle and he falls down back at
the forty six yard line. Malik Altree was in there
on the stop. Caden Harris was also in there, and

(02:02:33):
I believe Money Thomas was there as well. I think
that was money on that one. I don't think Malak's
in there. Fourth down and thirteen twenty four seconds left

(02:02:53):
here of the ball game. One last offensive play, hopefully
here for the Wildcats. Burt Cart drops back. He'll throw,
tries to set up the winners on the far side
of the veal. Winners is going to get the first down.
He's got the sidelines and he's pushed out of ounds
at around the twenty yard line. A well designed play
there by the Wildcats. First down, throw and catch, little
throwback to winners and he got the sideline and gets

(02:03:18):
down to the twenty for a first down. But just
ten seconds left in the game. One more play here
for the Wildcats. Boy keep out of the end zone here.

Speaker 3 (02:03:27):
Yeah, this's ten seconds. He throw it in the zone.

Speaker 2 (02:03:30):
Bulldog's leading thirty to seven over the enterprise. Wildcats trips
receivers to the right side and a single receiver to
the left side.

Speaker 3 (02:03:37):
Come on, four man rush, let's get to it.

Speaker 2 (02:03:39):
Burkhart drops back, wants to take a shot into the
end zone. Here is down to six, down to five.
Throws the end zone and over shot his intended target,
Cakes Blackman in the back of the end zone. Two
seconds on the clock. One more snap. Coming closest person
there was Xavier Thomas. He almost came up with the

(02:03:59):
interception for rope Alika.

Speaker 3 (02:04:02):
That's rush stand Van. They did a good job.

Speaker 7 (02:04:05):
We didn't.

Speaker 4 (02:04:06):
We didn't get closer. We need to get pressure on
this guy, all right. Two seconds he's a good quarterback.

Speaker 2 (02:04:12):
Two seconds left. One more play for Enterprise Dogs about
to I think they're gonna bring five this time. Get
a big win here tonight and proved a four and
one in the region.

Speaker 3 (02:04:21):
They're gonna bring six.

Speaker 2 (02:04:24):
Burke Hart drops back last play, throws across the middle
in a huge hit down at the nine yarn line.
I think they're gonna call him helmet to helmet hit
on the defense.

Speaker 3 (02:04:39):
You can't end the game on a penalty case.

Speaker 2 (02:04:41):
Look like it. I don't know. I'm looking at the replay.
It almost looked like he got him in the side.
But officials are gonna meet and we'll see if it
stands it. We'll be right out of first down. But
no time on the clock, so we'll see white hat.

(02:05:06):
There's no time on the clock right now, Bulldog stadium
open like a leading thirty to seven.

Speaker 8 (02:05:12):
Man.

Speaker 2 (02:05:12):
They're gonna give him one more play. They're gonna mark
it down at the five and get them a first down.
So one more play and untimed down here for the
for the Wildcats, they'll line up out of the shotgun formation.
Winners still in the game.

Speaker 3 (02:05:27):
Yeah, they're gonna throw it again.

Speaker 2 (02:05:29):
He lines up to the right, single receiver of the
left side boys now playing for pride, keeping him out
of the end zone. Burt Harten rolls to the right.
They want to throw back in it his colt and
stop short. No, they say touchdown, got a number eleven.
Kate's blackman as he falls into the end zone. No
time on the clock and that will be it.

Speaker 4 (02:05:55):
The game.

Speaker 2 (02:05:56):
So they do get the six.

Speaker 3 (02:06:02):
So it's a final score thirty to thirteen.

Speaker 2 (02:06:12):
It should be thirty to thirteen the final score here
at Bulldog Stadium and a big win for the Bulldogs.
They improved to seven and one, four and one in
region play. And we are back after this time out
as a postgame show comes your way here from Bulldog Stadium.
You're listened to Bulldog football here on the Kicker. We

(02:06:32):
welcome you back to Bulldog Stadium, Van Riggs alongside coach
Pence McCracken. We got Mac McCracken roam in the sidelines.
We do apologize we've been having some's some weird internet
issues here tonight, but we do have a happy result
here inside Bulldog Stadium and that is a win for
O Palaika. And the final score tonight thirty to thirteen.

(02:06:53):
Can we confirm that because okay it is thirty to
thirteen was the final score. Okay, we've yet to put
it up in the score here, but that was what
we all assume. Thirty to thirteen. Coach mccrack and your
thoughts on this one.

Speaker 4 (02:07:06):
Great first half and the last three minutes of the
first half. They drove it down there and scored. And
I know Brian as a head coach, is not he
pleased with the defense in the second half. A defense
held him out of the end zone till right down
there at the end. But Van, we scored three points

(02:07:30):
in the second half, and I know he's not going
to sleep good knowing we only scored three points.

Speaker 3 (02:07:37):
We had a turnover tonight by our quarterback.

Speaker 4 (02:07:41):
And I'll tell you what number five from Enterprise, I'm
glad he's going to Auburn because he's he really showed out.
But I thought Hugley ran the ball well tonight, Blake
Johnson ran the ball well. We had a good and
Weights ran the ball well. Our linebackers were great tonight.

(02:08:06):
They go They really really got after it. And Ty Hudson,
I don't know how many tackles he made, but I
know he was in on a bunch. Yeah again, and
Van he's the Here's the interesting thing in the first half.
In the first half, we had thirty five snaps and
they had twenty. In the second half we had fifteen

(02:08:28):
snaps and they had twenty five. It's almost like, uh,
we were content to keep a twenty seven point lead
and uh that's you know, they had the ball most
of the time in the second half. So and the
kicking games were good on both sides. We made three

(02:08:48):
field goals, really happy with our field goal kicking, and
we converted all our extra points. And so there's a
good win, good win for the Dogs, and I look
forward to the Central game next Friday.

Speaker 3 (02:09:03):
But I want these guys to celebrate this and have
good time to.

Speaker 2 (02:09:06):
Like, absolutely excellent win for the Bulldogs. Boy, you talk
about dominating a game against a team that was ranked
number five in the state. And I'll tell you what, coach,
nobody has given this Bulldog team any recognition around the state.
The state writers have still not even voted the Bulldogs
in the top you know, Opelika was outside the top
ten coming into this game. I know these guys have
been carrying that on their shoulders. They're thinking they've been disrespected.

(02:09:28):
You've got everybody talking about Auburn Central and Enterprise and Carver,
you know, all week, you know, and all season long,
and everybody's been kind of thinking Opelac has never played anybody. Well,
then we played oth in the one big and it
was like, well, yeah, you know, that wasn't really you know,
we're kind of ignoring that. Well, you can't really ignore
what the Bulldogs are doing this season. Opaca now seven

(02:09:49):
and one, four and one in the area and another
dominating win here at home and a huge win thirty
to thirteen game. And it was really never out of doubt.
I mean, Opelaca really controlled this game. I took a
twenty seven to seven lead and in the halftime, and
I added three points here in the second half, and
really I mean this cruise to Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:10:07):
That first sixteen seventeen minute yeah, dominating, perfect football.

Speaker 2 (02:10:11):
It was dominant.

Speaker 3 (02:10:12):
I was just enjoying myself.

Speaker 4 (02:10:14):
Yeah, and then we got to the last four minutes
half and it's kind of like fizzled out.

Speaker 3 (02:10:19):
I don't know, I don't know what happened.

Speaker 2 (02:10:21):
But you know what And nope, like it did with
an eighty two of the second half and the defense
dominated this game, didn't give Enterprise much of anything. And
hopel Ika gets out of here with a big thirty
to thirteen win over the Enterprise Wildcats. We'll continue with
our postgame show. We'll take a break. Our postgame show
again is brought to you by the fine folks at
Jeff coche Trant Funeral Home, and we'll be back with

(02:10:41):
more right after this time. Out here on the Kicker,
we were back in cy Bulldog Stadium. Everybody keeping an
eye on the central game here in cy Bulldog Stadium,
as the crew here has popped it up on the
i'mbo tron, as the fans are celebrating on the field,

(02:11:02):
and it was a central going down and scoring a touchdown,
little like they may have been across the line of
scrimmage a quarterback but no flag and Central leads at
twenty four or was it twenty four to twenty, Yeah,
I think it was. They went to a commercial prey,
but at the twenty four to twenty game there in
Central leading that one. That's the team that'll be coming
into Bulldog Stadium next week. A chance for Plaika to
clinch a spot in the playoffs next week with a

(02:11:24):
win over Central. Now, the Dogs are in really good
shape right now, they're four and one, but next week,
with a win, you really take all the ifs and
whatever's out of the picture. By a win over Central,
you lock a spot in the playoffs in seven eight
for the first time in school history. So that would
be a huge win next week here inside Bulldog Stadium.

(02:11:44):
And I want to really talk to the listeners out
there that may have been on the fence coming to
the game tonight and may have been riding around had
something to do. Mark your calendars next Friday night because
it is a must attend game here inside Bulldog Stadium.
A chance for this team make history, Coach McCracken.

Speaker 3 (02:12:01):
Next week.

Speaker 2 (02:12:02):
This Dog team is seven to one and if they're
not ranked in the top ten next week, well, you
know what, we don't care. Just don't rank themself like
a team. Just keep playing, keep keep the dogs out
of the top ten. That'll be just fine. But we
know what we're dealing with here. And this is a
really good football team that we've been watching all season long,
and they continue to prove the doubters wrong each and

(02:12:23):
every single week.

Speaker 3 (02:12:24):
And the largest hey, now you stop and think about this,
Van Rigs.

Speaker 4 (02:12:29):
That's the largest point total that we've had against a
good football team. I mean Enterprise, a good football team
now and you know we beat them, what by seventeams
something like that, and we're up twenty four to nothing.

Speaker 2 (02:12:44):
Well, and I'll tell you this, coach Oplaika has won
now five games by more than twenty points, and that
is that's that's a really unbelievable coach. They've won five
games by more than twenty points. Now, yeah, I mean
you talk about against the team like Enterprise tonight to
win this game by you know, by a big margin,

(02:13:06):
I mean they're talking about I mean, I know it
ended up not being the case tonight, but just I
mean another dominating win by Opelikah and Ope, like of
course from coach Brian More going to be coming up
here in just a bit. We'll take a quick time
out and we will chat with Coach Moore as we
continue here in a postgame show again, Opelika a winner
tonight thirty to thirteen, and we're back after this time

(02:13:29):
out here on the Kicker. We are back here on
the postgame show. It is presented to you by Jeff
Coach Trant Funeral hallmind Van Riggs, and we are coming
to you from the Orth's Peda Clinic Broadcast booth where
the Dogs win it tonight thirty to thirteen over the

(02:13:50):
Enterprise Wildcats, a dominating win for the Bulldogs, and we
are talking with a happy coach Brian Moore up here
in the booth. Coach, congratulations first off on a on
a dominating win from by your group here tonight. Jason
seventeen years there we go.

Speaker 6 (02:14:04):
Coach got me yep, you know, I appreciate it as
a lot of man so much work and buy in,
you know, from our players and what we're asking of them.

Speaker 7 (02:14:12):
And it had been easy.

Speaker 6 (02:14:14):
It's been a it's been a grind of a nine
month period and uh and a grind of a season
two you know for us. That's our what eight straight
football games. That's tough with no buy in there, and uh,
you know, obviously like a like a week to be
able to kind of heil up. But man, what a
what a start for our team. And the first four
drives of the game three and out defensively, uh for us,

(02:14:36):
you know, we just really getting off the field and
then offensively to drive and really run the football the
way that we wanted. You know, credit Adam Massey in
his side of the ball and John David Atkins in
his side and the job that they've done and all
of our coaches and again everybody that's involved.

Speaker 7 (02:14:52):
It's just a it's a great night for us.

Speaker 3 (02:14:54):
And there's there's a lot left.

Speaker 6 (02:14:56):
You know, we all need to understand that, but uh,
we've got to do a great job of coming back
to work with with a with a great central team
that will be coming here next week.

Speaker 2 (02:15:05):
Coach, talk about the play of your offense. I know
you really wanted to ground and pound, and you did
that in the first half and I think, I mean
that was one of the big reasons you were able
to dominate so much in the first half. And I
think they really you hit them in the mouth out
of the gate and it's tough to come back from that.

Speaker 6 (02:15:20):
We have had not had a start like that this year,
against the quality of opponent that I felt, you know,
we were that dominant. I just, man, just what I
want to credit Jared Fleming as well, our oviensive line coach.
He he was a madman this week as far as
pushing our guys and talking about you know, just toughness

(02:15:40):
and being you know, connected and not cutting guys loose,
and I just I'm so proud of him and the
job that our front people did this, you know tonight,
and the jobs that are that Slay Clayton are full
back and Blake Johnson and Julian Pritchett and Drew Gagliano,
and the job that all those guys did as extra pieces,
because man, we were acting there with eleven guys a

(02:16:01):
lot of the night, you know, playing too tight in
a wing and just running the football downhill, running belly
and you know, running a lot of power to our
tailback and you know, all three of our tailback, Jordan
Wad's had a big night be seen back tonight. Proud
of Jordan, and you know, again outside of a couple
of small things. Really pleased with our football team, but
would like to be honest, we had like to finish

(02:16:21):
a little bit better, you know, And and you know,
we weren't sharp in the third quarter. We had three
drives in a road that were not good. We behind
the change, we had a block in the back. I
didn't think it was with Brody, and we got off schedule.
And you know that's that's not first half. We were
on schedule all night. And that's who we have to be.
This football team is a ground and pound, you know,
and you know, three yards of a cloud of us
whatever you wanna say, but when you have one of

(02:16:42):
those penalties, you make it first and twenty, it's really
hard to overcome.

Speaker 7 (02:16:44):
So uh, you know, we got a little bit better there.

Speaker 6 (02:16:46):
But again, just a just a great night and just
so proud of our programing team and everybody involved.

Speaker 2 (02:16:51):
Excitement. I'm seeing that all the kids here after the game,
celebrating on the field. That's what it's all about, I know.
And but you know, going back to your team, coach,
they've kind of been ignored all year. We were talking
about and you know that stilled outside the top ten.
This enterprise team was number five, of the State by
the sports writers. You dominated them tonight, and you dominated
them without huge plays by Jamari Miller the quarterback taking

(02:17:12):
deep shots and bombs. It was the It was old
school football, and that travels. I like to say, so.
I mean, it's hard to stop that. And I know,
you know a lot of people may think, well, you
got to have the big plays by Jamori, he's got
to do this or got to do that, and you
showed tonight you can do it in a bunch of
different ways to dominate a good team.

Speaker 6 (02:17:28):
I will say that, you know, adding that dimension will
make it better. Oh yeah, you know, we've got to
do that. We ran the reverse with him and didn't
have much. And but guys, this is the best defensive
football team we've seen this year. I mean, I gotta
be honest with you. I don't I don't think it's
that close. I think they're really really talented, and of
course Auburn is as well, but I think Enterprise is
really talented.

Speaker 7 (02:17:46):
Five, six and four are everything we thought that was.

Speaker 2 (02:17:49):
Six can eliminate one of those speech sweeps?

Speaker 3 (02:17:51):
Can he an? I said, that's the only good thing
I like about.

Speaker 6 (02:17:57):
He was really talented, and you know they get him
down to feel a lot so, but it was a
ground and pound tight night.

Speaker 7 (02:18:03):
You know, we'd like to get a little bit more
to jamorrow.

Speaker 6 (02:18:05):
But Quiz had a big catch on a curl that
was a big play in the game, I thought, and guy,
we had a we had a wheel that we thought
we could get laid on that third down and uh
we just couldn't get the back out. He was gonna
be wide open and we just got clogged up. But
uh again, look, you know this is our recipe. Our
SPEs played great defense, win the kick a game. I
thought Rees kicked it well. He made three field goals tonight.
Uh he was perfect on his pats and then you

(02:18:26):
know we did not kick the ball deed, uh to them,
and uh we we skied everything and kept kept the football,
uh you know, kept you know, kept him from having
big returns. And really proud of Reees for for placing
the ball where he needed to and and uh again
I thought we won all three phase.

Speaker 3 (02:18:43):
Well we do.

Speaker 2 (02:18:44):
It's very loud because Central's on the jumbo tron and
they just had a big score of late to go
up on Carver. As we're keeping an eye on that game.
Next week. What he had to improve on. Coach, I know,
you really need to a win next week. Clinch is
a spot in the playoffs for you, and I know
that would be big for this program. It's you know,
you know, have to win next week to get into
the playoffs. But Central's coming to town. It's always big

(02:19:04):
and they're coming to our place, and I know we
want to pack house next week.

Speaker 7 (02:19:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:19:07):
I mean again, I think, you know, learning to play
you know, four quarters in football and you know, and
not sort of.

Speaker 7 (02:19:13):
Coasting, you know. I challenge the kids at halftime big.

Speaker 3 (02:19:16):
Time in there.

Speaker 6 (02:19:17):
Mike was in there, man, just talk to him right
off the jump about you know, they scored and made
it twenty seven to seven, and then they get the
ball after the half, you know, and if they drive
and score that, now you're a two score game. And yeah,
it's a little different. The ballgame feels different. And I
was proud of our defense for rising up getting stop.
I think they got it to midfield and then we
finally got a stop. And again we didn't finish it

(02:19:37):
the way we wanted offensively. But this is a good
football team and they're not going to go away next week.

Speaker 7 (02:19:43):
Van Will be incredible here.

Speaker 6 (02:19:45):
You know, I just I'm just so excited for our
players and to see them and how happy they are
with the success that we're having. I'm just I'm just
proud for them, and again proud for our administration and
our whole community for what this football team is becoming.
You know, again, we've got a chance to keep getting
back to I mean, there's meat on this bottom and

(02:20:06):
we're gonna keep working to do.

Speaker 7 (02:20:07):
That as we go down the stretch.

Speaker 2 (02:20:09):
All Right, man, you got a question, coach Woar.

Speaker 3 (02:20:11):
I heard you.

Speaker 9 (02:20:12):
I heard you at the end of last week. You're
talking about how the significant win over Dothan that we
hadn't you know, we hadn't been there in a while.
And you know, growing up in that football family and
on those sidelines, I know that good old nothing beats
winning but winning again and it breeds right. And I
can tell you from personal experience. You know, people always

(02:20:36):
say this railroad time of over block of goes as
the football team go and I go into stores and
every time I see people, it's how about them dogs? Hey,
them dogs are real, them dogs, and and it just
brings in, like Van just said, those kids down there
on that field, having the time of life. But it's
bringing joy back to this city and everybody's just excited

(02:20:57):
to see what this football team can do. And like
you said, you know you you're like mic, I can't
sometimes really hear the band, you know, because we get
but it just it lets those kids dig deep to
that next level. And it's just a great atmosphere and
a great thing to say for this community.

Speaker 7 (02:21:11):
But once again, you know, we are here.

Speaker 6 (02:21:14):
I mean, however you want to cut it to create
an experience for high school students.

Speaker 7 (02:21:18):
I mean, whether that's being.

Speaker 6 (02:21:19):
In the band, being the cheerleader, being in the student section,
or playing on that field, or being a support staff member,
whatever you are, that's what we're here to do.

Speaker 7 (02:21:26):
And winning.

Speaker 6 (02:21:27):
You know, there's no way to teach winning until you
just win. I mean, you just do things right. You know,
you don't accept anything less, you have a standard, you
hold the line. And then when kids start to win,
that belief grows and you're right, Mack, like it becomes
a snowball.

Speaker 7 (02:21:39):
And it's not just at divarsity level. Man, we're five
and one in JV.

Speaker 6 (02:21:42):
Also, I mean this football program right now is twelve
and two or whatever. I mean, that winning breeds more winning.
You're absolutely right, and that's why we play all those games,
and that's why we work so hard, and we just
we want, you know, successful thing like good things to
happen because the kids, you know, it's kind of the reward.

Speaker 7 (02:22:00):
It's like those Scout kids that came to the luncheon Thursday.

Speaker 6 (02:22:04):
I mean, you just reward people for their work and
then look at what they'll do for you, you know,
look at what they'll do as far as they're buying.

Speaker 7 (02:22:10):
And what you ask of them.

Speaker 6 (02:22:11):
Man, they just they'll just explode because they want they
seek like success like everybody does. Like you want to
be around successful people. You want to you want to
gravitate towards that. And here's what will happen now, more
people as we go through this year and we finish
like we should and finished strong, you'll see a huge
growth in our program, in our support staff, in our

(02:22:32):
in our band.

Speaker 7 (02:22:33):
Like and then you watch what it does for the
other sports.

Speaker 6 (02:22:36):
You watch what it does for your winter sports, you know,
and the job that the coaches are you know, men
and women's basketball are going to do. And watch what
it does for baseball and watch watch how that works
and the job that Cave McGee's doing in that weight
room and just just again he's holding that line man
and uh and we are always the tone setter coach,
coach mcrag and you know that you go as the
season goes your school year, you have less fights in

(02:22:58):
your school you have less things that go on, and
kids are just happy like they want that. They want
to go to Friday night and look forward to it
and be part of it. And that's what's going on
right now.

Speaker 7 (02:23:08):
And obviously we.

Speaker 6 (02:23:10):
Got to keep doing it and keep building and uh
but I do think the sky's the limit for this
football team. I hold strong to my statements that this
this this team can can go as far as it
wants to, and I'm just excited.

Speaker 7 (02:23:21):
To watch it happen.

Speaker 2 (02:23:21):
Well, I'll say this, and I want uh in, coach,
and I'll let you go. You know, let coach McCracken go.
But uh run, I'm gonna let coach get his question.
Then you know, I want the community to know that
this is you know, we've had great bulldog teams in
the history and then a coach you coached a bunch

(02:23:42):
of them, and you know, there's been some great ones.
But right now, seven and one in seven A is
I think the highest peak this program has ever been in,
because this is the highest classification you can compete in.
We're seven and one, never been here before. And if
there is an empty piece of gray bleed, sure next
week I'm gonna be disappointed because there was some empty

(02:24:03):
grace spots tonight for this big game tonight. And man,
I want everybody to pack it in here next week
because I'm telling you Central is gonna come over and
just about pack that side over there, and we need
this side completely packed for a shot to go to
the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (02:24:16):
I'll tell you this for just to be in the
conversation with some that coach has had uh and not
only coach, but Coach Blackman as well, you know, to
be in that conversation with hav.

Speaker 7 (02:24:25):
I do think this team is that good?

Speaker 5 (02:24:27):
I do.

Speaker 6 (02:24:28):
I think this team has an opportunity to to do
again whatever it wants to do. And again, I this
is this is an incredibly tradition rich program that I
knew could get back there really quickly.

Speaker 7 (02:24:41):
And again I'm just blessed to be part of it.
But but I appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (02:24:44):
Man, all right, Coach I want to I want to
say this to you, my old country coach. You used
to coach with me, you know, talk to me about
the wing tea, about staying at home because eventually they'll
come back around there to you.

Speaker 3 (02:24:55):
He also said.

Speaker 4 (02:24:56):
Nothing beats winning but winning again, that's right, and you
know it really is. It breeds, it breeds winning. And
Brian is so proud of you. The team that first
seventeen minutes of that half, that's the best football. I
told him, that's the best football I've seen played out
here in five years. Matt, I hadn't seen y'all were

(02:25:19):
just dominating and heck, man, I'm so proud of you
and where we're at. And I want to finish by
saying this these group that Brian allows me to go
talk to, these groups of players, it has made my
year because I read these things that they say, and

(02:25:41):
they are true gentlemen in there, Brian and they God
Lee the answers to these questions about these teachers that
have you know, I call every one of these teachers
and tell them, Hey, gord Ingram said this about you.

Speaker 3 (02:25:56):
I just wanted you to know that.

Speaker 4 (02:25:57):
And you're talking about tearing up man, I'm talking grown
people crying up there in the halls, teachers and stuff.
You know, i'd say, well, the kids said this about you,
you know, but being able to talk to those kids,
I'm gonna do offensive line next time.

Speaker 7 (02:26:13):
It's good. They deserve it. Coach.

Speaker 6 (02:26:14):
Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead, and I'll tell Miss Judy
at the church to make more food too.

Speaker 7 (02:26:18):
Bring those big boys. That's with us this week.

Speaker 3 (02:26:21):
So thank you, coach. Congratulations, thanks man, appreciate it, thank you.

Speaker 2 (02:26:24):
All right, don't forget coach Brian Moore show Thursday. We
got the lunch next week, and you know we need
to pack that out on Thursday as we preview Central
and then sell out Bulldog Stadium next week, right.

Speaker 6 (02:26:33):
No doubt about it, man, I just you know, and
I think it makes a difference, like the like the
Auburn crowd to be there early, that energy starts early,
and I hope everybody will be here because it'll be
a you better buy a Monday because it will be
a sold out ticket, I can assure you. Uh so
jump on those and and again, man, I'm just so
thankful to be here. I can't say it enough, and
so proud of our kids. And the way that they

(02:26:55):
dealt I'll tell you this too, the way that they
dealt with some some issues on field and how they
handled those things and we did not get into those
issues were shoving and all that. Just really proud of
our kids for the week. This was a hard week
for our program, and I'm just proud of the way
they handled it. And they're just growing up. Man, They're
becoming young men that can control their temper and control themselves.

(02:27:15):
And just proud of this win tonight. It was a
big one and I hope we can get another one
next week.

Speaker 2 (02:27:19):
Congratulations coach. Hopefully this weekend you can enjoy it a
little better than last week.

Speaker 3 (02:27:22):
Here, Ain't no doubt.

Speaker 7 (02:27:23):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (02:27:24):
All right, Thanks coach. That's coach Brian Moore. We come back.
We'll continue with our postgame show final segment on the way.

seven and one, four and one in region play and
a big win next week against Central Phoenix City as
they will roll into town and Opelaika with a win
over the Red Devils next week, could clinch a spot
in the playoffs. With that victory over the Red Devil
certainly well on their way right now with a four
and one region record, but you could seal the deal
next week with a win over Central Phoenix City. So
